some of my favorite details include;

Shuri and Riri calling each other "Love" [Also I think they imply that Riri understands Wakandan or at the very least she understands "I love you" cause Shuri says it in Wakandan]

The height difference ofc

Shuri constantly on Riri's ass about taking care of herself + her space

Riri going on her tippy toes to hug/ kiss her gf

Riri being a terror for anyone from Wakanda

When they both get really into a proj. and Hobie is just kinda standing there confused as fuck

I've been getting into comic books recently and I love the Spider-band so so much, like, I'm insane. I can't stop thinking about Mattea, she's so cool and I might have a little crush on her.

The plan is to draw the entire band! Let's hope the coming issues of arms race keep me motivated!

let’s talk about the spiderpunk side characters for a minute!

i’ve seen people talk about captain anarchy (bc yes, he does kiss men in the comics, it’s great) but there are also some great female punk characters that i feel deserve more attention!

riri williams, or riotheart, seems to be inspired by the riotgrrrl movement, a feminist subset of the punk subculture. it has been criticized for emphasizing white feminism, so seeing a black woman fighting racism in the scene is awesome and punk af. i love the graffiti on her suit and her friendship with hobie is great.

similarly, there’s also a punk rock daredevil- mattea murdock! she’s my personal favorite and seeing a badass disabled punk superhero is so cool. she’s also a drummer and i am obsessed w her design.

personally, i think it would be super fun to see more of these characters in btsv, if they’re giving more screentime to the spiderpunk universe. i also hope we get to see a bit more of the nerdy/silly side of hobie that i see in the comics.

Spider Punk Comic Cover fan art

i wanted to make a punk themed art piece and i used my favourite Spider-Man character to do just that! Although i wished i had added more to it and gave it more details and such in the back, i am proud of the detailing on Spider-Punk's mask. I tried to incorporate punk themes such as using punk references (Ex. Clash as in the punk band for a more punkier version of Green Goblin) and i used magazine clippings for the name. Still wishing i did more, im still glad with some things on this art piece.
