Before she knew, the Spice Festival came back to the square near her place. But Heather was as ready as she could be to tackle that Spice challenge. She had eaten spicy dishes at the food stalls whenever she could. She had cried and coughed and blushed and drunk liters of milk to sooth her stinging mouth... 

Now was THE time. Miko was going to come and cheer her on, but as always, she was running late because of work. Heather often wondered how Miko’s boss could ever have been elected, as she completely relied on Miko to organise charity events and write her speeches. It never occurred to Heather that it might have been because Miko did all that grinding work. Politics, Heather didn’t understand it at all...

So Heather got her plate of super duper mega spicy curry, took a moment to concentrate and mentally prepare herself for the inevitable burning of everything from her lips to her stomach and then she dove in. 

She had a few difficult moments, she had to admit, the curry was extremely spicy. But she pressed on, bite by bite, unwilling to give up. She was eating for her very honour and she was going to make it! 

To her own surprise, suddenly she was scraping the final bits of food from the plate. She had finished the plate without bursting into tears or spitting flames like a fire dragon. She had done it! With a big grin, she looked at her empty plate. 

The festival organisers congratulated her and handed her a cool spicy pepper T-shirt. From the crowd that had gathered to see the new Curry Champion, she heard Miko scream “Show! Show! Show!” Heather felt her cheeks glow and wasn’t sure if that was only because of the spicy food or also because she felt a little shy all of a sudden. She greeted the cheering crowd (which felt very nice) and then quickly walked over to Miko to properly greet her. Eventually she hastily took off her warm winter sweater and put on the T-shirt over her own T-shirt to show it off to Miko, who nodded with approval and smiled “That’s my girl, well done, sweetie!”

Next was Lumineon’s turn! Applin and Camerupt watched anxiously to see how he’d do... And then I got distracted by something else and went to take pictures of that instead. I was very sad to miss Lumineon’s reaction but it’s his fault for taking so long to get there! >:(

In between all her odd jobs, Heather liked to try new foods at the food stalls on the square. Houda had told her about some kind of spicy food challenge at the Spice Festival and Heather was determined to win that challenge. As she became a regular at the food stalls and started chatting with the vendors, they’d give her the more spicy plates to practice.

Soraya: “Hey Heather, I got you some extra spice in this curry, you thing you can handle the heat?”

Heather: “Sure, bring it on. I feel so cool today, I could handle a plate of steaming hot lava!”

Soraya (as Heather breaths fire in pure agony): “Tadaaaaa, extra hot and spicy!”

“Next time, there’s always next time,” Heather thought, defeatedly watching the little ring of smoke dissolve.

Like idk i think radioactive is a cool color on flight rising and i really like how bright green it is and how much of an eyesore it is!! Love it!! I have like 140+ radioactive primary gen 1s and i hope to get more!! Gosh my radioactive primary gen1s im really proud of Glykys and Zacharoto i love radioactive pinstripe with cream toxin and wraith is spicy!! Love our radioactive primary banescales. In fact radioactive is spicy with gaolers and mosaic!! Very nice love that!!! All in all radioactive is a good gene even with skink! However radioactive poison/toxin is a very nice combo too i love the red accents!! Makes it really matchy.

The BEGINNING

Okay, So I’m on my third generation with this playthrough, so I figured it was time to start blogging about them since they lead such interesting lives. More interesting than my own. 

The first sim I’m going to introduce is my own Sim, Mack Cruse. Based off myself. This is her back in her prime before she made a HELL of her life.

Here’s a pic of myself for reference:

DID I DO THIS WHOLE PLAYTHROUGH WITH A SIM BASED OFF MYSELF. Yes. Yes I did. And everyone else close to me in my life. Everything you see on this sims blog HAPPENED IN REAL LIFE. Yes. That is an absolutely true statement and honestly it can’t be refuted.

OKAY, so to get things rolling, Mack was a romantic. She also had Borderline Personality Disorder to the MAX (did i mention this sim was based off myself?) She was out looking for love in all the wrong places. Let me tell you. All she wanted was a soulmate, but you’d have thought she was a serial romantic the way she got around. She didn’t really spend much time honing any particular skills, but let me tell you, she was damn good at something because she wound up with a gaggle of suitors vying for her attention.

And along came THE WORST, Octagon:

And then a townie that I think is named Dave??? Idk, apparently he’s married so I feel a little bad. I gave him and his family up to the fate of MC Command, so we’ll see what happens. He’s getting a little old though, so...he might die before anything else super spicy happens:

And then LASTLY, Mack found the love of her life. Someone who had been beside her the entire time; her best friend, Justice. 

Now, Justice honestly had a life of her own before Mack latched onto her like a cat with a ball of yarn. She was a serial romantic with no real interest in settling down. Granted, they both had BPD, so hello mutual FP status. They flirted on and off for years; Mack falling head over heels in love, and Justice just...doing her thing. When adulthood set in, the two realized their relationship had progressed beyond normal friendship. It was time to take things to the next level. The next RELATIONSHIP level. Mack was ecstatic. In fact, she moved herself right into the old Goth mansion with Justice. Justice had purchased the Goth estate long ago when she showed the Goths how infinitely more GOTH she was. 

But before we get to happily ever after, let’s not forget the mistakes Mack made along the way. And by mistakes, I mean the children that she expertly neglected on her path to finding a soulmate. If you wanna talk about bad mothers, Mack should be at the top of your list. She straight up ignored their existence. Life was all parties and Discotheque night club with Justice...and others. Not to say the kiddos didn’t have it good. I mean, can you really complain about living in a mansion in Willow Creek? Of course...the nanny was kind of a bitch...and it was really lonely 90% of the time without a mom...but at least you had plenty of time for homework! Mack also made an effort to keep in contact with all her friends having kids. Despite the child neglect, she threw some rad Toddler party ragers. The kids couldn’t complain about not having friends, that’s for sure.

SO first out of the gate was the babe she birthed with Alex. This is Kaatje. Kaat clearly takes after dad, my god. She was daddy’s girl growing up too. Alex visited her often. She was social, but the first best friend she ever made was her dad. She may not have grown up to be a doctor or a scientist, but she managed to grow into a very kind hearted gal. (she got dat good manners trait)

With Jim, Mack had Jack (get it? JIM+MACK=JACK. It’s better than the GoT plot twist.) From an early age, Jack was gifted. All he wanted to do was just play that godforsaken violin day in and day out. Fuck that violin. But the payoff was great. Jack is absolutely the greatest musician on the planet. 

Third in line was my absolute favorite: Circle. See because his father was OCTAGON, so Mack had to keep shapes in the family. Circle was...a troubled child to put it mildly. He was a transboy filled with rage. That mean trait can fuck you UP, my friends. Well, because he was just such a handful, Mack carted him off to live with dear ol’ dad. Now Octagon might look like a skinny little guy, but he has a temper that raged hotter than the sun. Fueled by his father’s transphobic cruelty, Circle became the rowdiest child demon in all of SimNation. I want to save some of his story for his own blog post though, so just...know that Mack was the fucking worst mom to him. Him is an anger boy. (I LOVE HIM SO MUCH I CAN’T WAIT FOR HIS STORY.)

Close to finished but not quite, we come to Dany, the overlooked. Honestly, there’s not much to say about Dany. She was quiet. unassuming. She did well in school. When she became a teenager, she went to live with her dad. She shows up to family gatherings with gusto, but there’s a certain sadness to her. She’s an outsider just trying to feel like she belongs. Her father cheated on his wife with Mack, so Dany honestly never felt like she belonged anywhere. Even in such a disjointed family.

LASTLY: 

DRUMROLL PLEASE, because Mack got her shit together for this one. Why? Because it was a baby she had with Justice of course! She threw all the love and affection she denied her other children onto this kid. Justice is all about uh...interesting names (as you’ll see in her blog post.) So this kiddo’s name is Glibbet. Baby Glibbet was spoiled to all hell. She gratuated highschool with a 4.0. She mastered every childhood skill. But all that crushing, overbearing love was enough to send her spiraling as a teenager. She’s wasn’t necessarily a problem child, but she definitely went through a phase...she’s still going through a phase.

And so we now reach Mack, in her prime. She’s still going strong, if not a few pounds heavier. She and Justice finally tied the knot a few weeks back. All the kids were grown and it just felt like it was time. They’re living happily together in the Goth house with their friend, Dan. 

To wrap things up, I’ll just attach a few more pictures of a Time in the Life of Mack. I wish I’d taken more, but I didn’t realize I wanted to blog about these sims until generation THREE, so there’s not terribly many of gen1

Hello WEDDING (it was spur of the moment, don’t judge. It was hard enough to get justice to agree to it in the first place!) My fave part about the picture is Alex, who’s formal wear is a bathtowel. Also, yes, Mack invited all her previous lovers to her wedding. She’s a vindictive bitch.
