His first week was definitely not going as well as it could. He'd embarrassed himself at work and his life wasn't going as well as he'd have liked. So he decided it was time to throw himself a housewarming party. It was NOT a pity party.

Valentina opened her eyes slowly and the first thing she noticed was that everything was white, right down to the expertly laid parquet flooring. White floors weren’t her thing, but she had to admit, this one was lovely. Perhaps Heather knew who laid it.

As she got to her feet, she noticed that her aches and pains were completely gone. She felt like she was in her twenties again....and then she saw it; the hideous oil painting that loomed over the spot where she once laid....

The extra money did nothing towards paying the rent and the landlord was back again. There HAS to be a law against the landlord taking the water heater and the toilet however. 😂

Summer found an even better way to earn more money. Travis had, somehow (and we don't ask how) found her an opportunity as a master criminal with higher pay but lousy work hours. Summer agreed and threw a party to celebrate her good (?) fortune.

Her idea was thankfully innocent and was instead about setting up a sports club! The three could meet regularly to play sports together. It would be a wonderful way to help Nick beat the creative burnout from his job and socialise with friends.

With Summer being an active Sim, she and Nick tried to get regular sessions in at the gym in the city. While there, Summer met Knox and discovered that the three of them shared a love of sports. This gave Summer an idea. Nick felt a bit worried about this.

Her first day went surprisingly well, given the weather. Every little helps!

Summer's idea was to open a pop-up sandwich stall to earn some extra money. Unfortunately, her first day was in a thunderstorm in the High Street but that didn't deter some hungry customers!

With money still quite tight, Summer had an idea for a side hustle to help earn some extra. She didn't want to say too much yet to Nick in case it didn't work out...

Nick's week got worse before it got better. A rivalry sprung up with a colleague, Mateo. Maybe this was because Nick was friends with Mateo's fiancée? Thankfully, his performances on stage were improving, which meant more money to work with! Just about, anyway.

Summer began to realise that the place was actually falling apart and promptly started working on her non-existent handiness skills to help Nick fix the place up and work on some meal preparations, before the hob gets taken away.

One way to solve his financial problems was to have his girlfriend move in with him. Two salaries are better than one after all!

Nick ended up having to rely on the internet cafe but not before attending another talent showcase at the lounge next door. There were some talented comedians out there and Nick rather paled in comparison. So he set to work writing better routines.

Nick was lucky to have good, thoughtful neighbours. Travis dropped by with a postcard from Nick's hometown, Twinbrook. Travis thought it might cheer Nick up and it did. It's the little things in life.

Being a sports fan, basketball turned out to be a perfect way to beat burnout, get some exercise and daydream. It did nothing to solve his financial worries, of course.
