what's their favorite flower (these are headcanons)?

Rabbit: loves dahlias for their vibrant colors and wide variety. thinks if she were ever small that they'd make great dresses.

The Spine: it's a bit cliché, but his mechanical heart absolutely melts over roses, especially ones with that deep red color.

Hatchworth: adores oxeye daisies. he knows they're a bit of a common flower to like, but he doesn't care. they remind him of eggs.

Zer0: sunflowers!!! he loves how big and beautiful they are, they make him very happy and he claims they encourage him to smile.

The Jon: forget-me-nots are his forte. he admires how beautiful they are for their size, and whenever there's an event in Biscuit Town he tries his best to convince everyone to decorate with forget-me-not themes.

Upgrade: she wouldn't be Upgrade if she didn't like something pink, and believe me the girlie chose pink! she fawns over cherry blossoms, she likes how they're pretty and perfect like her.

Randomly thought of a Steam Powered Giraffe horror au. Here’s some ideas I have so far.

The Spine: Taller, like, WAY taller. At least ten feet tall. Would stalk his prey and mess with their mind before taking them out. Occasionally, he’ll decide he likes a human and traps them in the hall of wires, where they’re never seen again.

Rabbit: The most erratic and unstable. It’s hard to figure out a pattern in her attacks, as she’ll seemingly attack at random.

Zer0: ???

Hatchworth: Blue portal usage has slowly corrupted his mind and body. He drags his victims into a blue portal. They aren’t seen again. He looks suspiciously like Matter Master Sam, who disappeared one day after exploring an abandoned room in Walter manor.

The Jon: a messed up puppeteer. Will tie his victims up with ribbons and force them to participate in his shows. Stepping out of line is fatal.

Upgrade: ???

Peter VI: discovered the twisted creations of Peter I and now must keep them locked up in Walter Manor so they don’t hurt anyone.

Walter Manor: has been transformed into a prison for the monstrous robots. They can’t escape it, except for Hatchworth and his blue portals. He’ll often be the one to bring “guests” to the manor, kicking and screaming.

Once again, these are just some ideas that I’m spitballing, and I might change things around. This isn’t connected to my Dark Virus au, it’s it’s own thing.

Documenting a few other details that ive found in the way back machine SPG dig

The Spine was originally created with a spinal column made up of smokestacks similar to a locomotive, thus he was appropriately named The Spine. In 1955, the US government invested millions of dollars into upgrading The Spine. Therein he received a brand new titanium alloy spine, and a multitude of highly classified weapons.

Eventually David entered high school. He was working towards his A+ Certification in computers and looking towards becoming an IT Technician. A sudden (but possibly long overdue) divorce between his parents turned David's life upside down during his Junior year. The divorce didn't go well between parents.

This is not included in Bunny's...despite them being twins... i love the 'sudden (but possibly long overdue) divorce'

David met Jerry Hager for the first time when he took his Beginning Acting class at the college. David knew of Jerry's "miming" down at Seaport Village and even visited his professor a few times while he was performing. It wasn't until his [Sister] [Bunny] took Jerry's mime class, and recommend that he take it with [her] again the following year, that David was introduced to the beauty of the art of mime and movement.

Yes you heard the man, The Jon, The Rabbit, The Spine and Upgrade only went through Three (3) mime classes before their first appearances in balboa park. And none more. (see; Steam Powered Giraffe started at the beginning of the second time David took Jerry's mime class.)

Rabbit went on to fight against Becile's copper elephants in 1897, outfitted with a prototype blue matter laser lens array, a Gatling Gun attachment, and a collapsible buzz saw. Rabbit's combat history also spans WWI, WWII, and the Vietnam war.

Approximately junior year a tall, gangly fellow (by the name of David) joined the drama club and introduced himself as such. Sam spent many'a afternoon trying to discern the Bennett twins (one wears black and one wears dragons). The only way Sam chooses to explain the early days of "Hangin' With the Bennetts" is as follows:

"it was like being a supporting character on some weird sitcom within a sitcom."

Fast forward a bit and it turns out the Bennetts only got weirder with time. They were robots now and apparently they needed a drummer.

That sounds about right..

Somehow I also became a robot apparently.

When Peter Walter I began constructing an army of robots, he used whatever source of metal he could find. So it wasn't surprising when his own cast iron stove served as the base for a bronze-laden robot.

upon examination Peter Walter II discovered a hairline fracture had been developing for years in the robot's power core. Hatchworth had been leaking a troublesome amount of concentrated blue matter energy[...]Mustache and all, the Walter boys locked Hatchworth in a lead vault deep within Walter Manor until they could find a solution. But months pouring over his original schematics proved fruitless for the boys and soon months turned into years...and then turned into decades.

Thats how hatchworth came about.... yeah no definitely would be insane at that point.

ok heres the spg dream, its so ridiculous, i hope you enjoy :]

So, I was in an empty courtroom. There was no jury and no random people sitting in the back. Judge Judy was there and was trying to help a case of the ut most importance.

Here's the story: Zer0 had once again stolen The Spine's cool toy fire truck. The Spine didn't find out until he heard a loud crack! and discovered Zer0 had accidentally broken it. The Spine decided it was his last straw and just?? and sued Zer0 for it??? gklvkflckflf

Imagine this: There's Judge Judy looking just... so tired, wondering why she ever took this case. There's Zer0, getting intensely defensive and denying literally everything ("And you're Zer0 Walter, is that correct?" "No, I've never met that man a day in my life."). Then there's The Spine taking this all very seriously and somehow got the idea he needed to build a defense too??? And I think I was Rabbit, I kept jumping up and giving my own side of the story ("Well, ACTUALLY! He never eve-" "Miss Rabbit if I have to tell you to sit down one more time I'm gonna have to ask you to leave.").

Now, this made the dream pretty fun, but boy oh boy was it about to get interesting.

So, while I was sometimes Rabbit, my pov kept changing into a cop. Apparently two very dangerous people had escaped a very very very VERY high security prison. Me and some other cops were in charge of finding these criminals and putting them back behind bars.

They'd sometimes leave behind clues (like torn pieces of clothes) but we were always a step behind. Eventually, we made it to the ocean. This would've been discouraging for anyone else, but not us. We were determined. So we started looking for some boats.

Back to the court scene, at this point Judge Judy is telling both The Spine and Zer0 off for being stupid. They both looked so ashamed, like a kid being told off by his mom. I remember me (Rabbit) trying so hard not to burst out laughing.

Judge Judy was finally about to finish and say "case dismissed" when the doors to the courtroom flew open.

So, me and the other cops finally made it into a town. We were trying to look casual and cool (winking at all the ladies looking our way) when one of the cops spoke up. He had just decided to look up these criminals (we didn't actually know much about them) and from what he read... well, it almost made us turn back around.

Almost.

We kept following them close behind, them always managing to stay just out of sight. Eventually, they ran into a building that confused all of us. "Are they really trying to get themselves back into prison?" We thought.

The doors flew open! We all turned around and I felt a smile creep onto my face. It was none other than The Jon and Hatchworth! Yes, they were covered in torn prison clothes (and was The Jon missing his hat?). Yes, they looked a little insane. Yes, they probably were a little insane. But nonetheless, we were happy to see them.

Judge Judy just got up and left by that point, just tired of everything she had delt with and wanting to leave as soon as possible. That's when I woke up.

(Also random note: At some point, I remember The Spine leaning towards me and being like "See, the trick here is to confuse the judge, you gotta change your story a bit, you know?" and I (Rabbit) was like "The Spine, what the hell are you talking about???" like he geniunely probably thought he was the main character in his own drama show or something lmao.)

Family portrait of the automaton and their papy for father’s day

I drew this a couple months ago but I’m pretty happy about it. This is obviously from the couple months after the weekend war before the automaton decided they wanted to try and wear clothes so they just wandered around with their casing bare. (Also this is just my headcanon for their appearances)

(I might redraw this (and the mother’s day one) with the “adult bots” instead of “babybots” at some point. That empty spot next to Jon is actually specifically for Zer0 but I remembered he was already in the basement at the time of this picture.)
