STOMP, le spectacle musical le plus fou de la planète, est de retour en France et s'élance à Bobino à Paris dans le 14ème du 20 juin au 16 juillet 2023. On vous présente le spectacle.

Stomp, spectacle entre danse, percussions et humour, est à l'affiche de Bobino du 20 juin au 16 juillet 2023. Claquements de doigts, bruits de casseroles, collisions de cadis : Stomp casse les codes. Sur un rythme endiablé, la troupe surprend par son génie créatif, au cours d'un spectacle sensationnel et culte.

Ce spectacle est un cocktail étonnant de percussions, danse, théâtre et de comédie basé sur une idée : créer des rythmes endiablés avec des objets du quotidien. A la fois musiciens, danseurs et acrobates, les huit artistes présents sur scène transforment n'importe quel ustensile en machine à rythmes : des Zippo, des balais, des couvercles de poubelle et même un évier !

INTRODUCTION

"Itoshi no Hakana" is the inaugural performance of Akudo Kaigi, a theatre unit formed by Kayano Isamu and Nakayama Haruki.

Kayano-san, who is the director of "Itoshi no Hakana", offered the role of Kudan Suzujiro to Sato Ryuji, and made his return to acting after 20 years because he wanted to act with Ryuji.

SUMMARY

Kudan Suzujiro (Sato Ryuji) is a gambler who has been left all alone in the world. With a greedy nature and sticky fingers, he is loved only by the God of Gambling.

One day, Suzujiro wins a bet with a demon, and gets his hands on a beautiful woman. The name of the woman is "Hakana" (Nanaki Kanon). This beautiful woman is a person who has been made from the best parts of a collection of corpses. But, she is someone who cannot be laid with until 100 days after her birth. It is said that if she is laid with before the 100 days are up, she will turn into water and flow away.

And so it begins, the 100-day story of a man who doesn't know love and a woman who doesn't know loveー

[2] Kayano Isamu is the director of the "Musical Touken Ranbu". Ryuji has worked with him since the start of the franchise in 2015.

On a related note, Ryuji has also co-starred with Gomoto Naoya, Tanaka Shigemi and Sato Nobunaga in the same franchise as Kashuu Kiyomitsu, Kondou Isami, Musashibou Benkei and Minamoto Kiyomaro.

[4] Wada Shunsuke, who is the composer for "Itoshi no Hakana", has worked on productions, like the "Musical Touken Ranbu", "Live Spectacle NARUTO" and "'Jujutsu Kaisen' The Stage".

[5] The lyrics for the songs are written by Asai Sayaka. She writes lyrics for the "Musical Touken Ranbu", including songs like "Kazaguruma", "Yume no Ato", "To The North" and others.

She has also written the lyrics for songs featuring Kashuu Kiyomitsu, like "Akaki Hana Chirimagau" and "Noraneko Nihiki".

no idea why i've held off on it for this long, so with the recent news i think it's about time i post my shadow the hedgehog megaplaylist for

2024: FEARLESS YEAR OF SHADOW

meticulously crafted in chronological order to go along to the story beats of shadow's character development, this playlist features both official OSTs for shadow and other music i associate with him. also works well as a shuffled playlist if you want general shadow vibes to listen to. it currently stands at just under 100 songs and 6 hours in length, but i add something to it every once in a while! (i started it before fearless year of shadow was officially announced, in fact.)

this playlist is meant to be a love letter to the early 2000s edge associated with shadow, what with its inclusion of genres like nu metal, industrial, drum and bass, post-hardcore and the like. essentially, if a song is in here, that means i could either easily imagine it as the music to a windows movie maker AMV full of stolen shadow fanart, or as the background music to a level where you play as shadow!

(the itunes version is missing this machine from the sonic heroes OST. the spotify version is also missing the shadow the hedgehog mix of tripod baby by m-flo and lisa, but i added the original version anyway.)

I don't necessarily think that a vampire musical wouldn't work on Broadway, which seems to be the general conclusion people have when they talk about vampire musicals. They don't think that American audiences will respond to it, or that American audiences don't want sincerity or that they hate melodrama. I disagree. If American audiences didn't like melodrama, Phantom of the Opera would've closed real quickly. What I do think is that the musical needs to be good. And the problem is that a lot of the vampire musicals that made it to Broadway were bad. They failed because they are either boring (Wildhorn's Dracula and Lestat), or they let Michael Crawford ruin it (Tanz der Vampire/Dance of the Vampires).

If American audiences can accept and enjoy the Founding Fathers rapping or singing dancing cats, they can accept vampires on Broadway.

You just gotta make it good. I'm begging you. Please.

(Also, I don't believe that a musical needs to make it to Broadway to be considered a success- if a vampire musical did well regionally or off-Broadway, that would still be a huge win in my book! But the spectacle I personally want from a vamp musical kinda needs a Broadway budget lol.)

(Also also- I know that Cats came out in a very different time on Broadway, but my point still stands: make a decent enough product, and people will see it. And they'll tell their friends about it!)
