Summary:

Yoongi wanted to be affectionate one day and sent out long text messages to two of the maknae's. What sucks for him though, is that it would later be brought up in a group conversation.

All of bts were sitting at a table with food placed in front of them. They were having a great filming day with the members just talking about whatever came to mind. They were on the topic of receiving heartfelt messages, and it brought Taehyung to spill his very heart warming text.

"There was one member who sent me a text message one day." Taehyung said, looking at everyone who was eating away at their food.

Yoongi, who heard loud and clear, all of a sudden put his hand up to his face as to face palm at the realization that Taehyung would be informing the members of a specific message that he 100% knew about.

Seokjin, who was sat next to Yoongi's right, saw this and was utterly confused about why Yoongi was suddenly acting unusual.

"Who was it?" Hoseok asked, looking at Taehyung with curiosity.

"Was it Jin?" Jimin also asked, looking at Tae with the same curiosity.

Seokjin placed his hand on Yoongi's neck and said, "Ya!Why are you laughing?" with amusement in his eyes. He knew exactly who sent Taehyung that random text message.

"It was Suga Hyung." Taehyung said, looking around once again with a smirk on his face.

All but Jungkook blurted out with "awh's" when the realization hit them. To be fair, no one would have thought that Yoongi would send a two paragraph message to one of the maknae's.

"Wow, I never imagined that happening!" Hoseok said, covering his mouth with his hand due to having food in his mouth. He looked at Taehyung and Yoongi with an amused face.

Yoongi looked up at Hoseok. "Why-why couldn't you imagine that happening?" Yoongi stutterly asked. He fidgetly fixed his turtle neck and smiled out of nervousness now that the attention turned to him.

"Do you want to know the reason why?! It's because I haven't received more than five messages from you!" Seokjin blurted out, turning to face Yoongi with an annoyed, but playful face. "And they were all one liners!"

Namjoon had his face down, and clapped now that the conversation has gotten more interesting.

But nonetheless, Taehyung kept going with his onslaught. He turned his head to where Seokjin and Yoongi were sitting. "The words at the end were really.." Taehyung tried to find the right words, until someone abruptly finished the sentence for him.

"They were memorable." Namjoon said, looking at Tae.

"Yeah." Taehyung said in agreement. "It's the first time I heard it."

Yoongi had his head down again, with the back of his hand covering his mouth with more embarrassement. Then, he lifted his head up again to repeat the words, "DON'T SAY IT!" while shaking his head at Taehyung.

"You need to tell us!" Namjoon said, looking at Taehyung.

"What did he write to make him this way?" Jimin then said, referring to Yoongi.

Taehyung turned to Jimin, and said, "He said, 'I love you.'"

The rest of the members, again, blurted out with "awh's."

Jungkook looks around the table with a crept up smirk, knowing that he's about to embarrass Yoongi even more.

"There were two messages that were sent out; the same exact paragraph with the words ending in, 'I love you.'" Jungkook said, looking straight at Yoongi.

The sheer horror that was casted on Yoongi's face, and utter embarrassment that has foreshown made the elder face palm, once again.

The rest looked at Jungkook, and then back to Yoongi. They were in disbelief at the affection that the older willingly sent out.

"I want a message like that from Suga hyung!" Jimin said with a pout and big eyes.

He looked at Yoongi, seeing how the older looked up slightly to look at Jimin.

"Jimin." Yoongi said, suddenly.

"Yes, hyung?" Jimin couldn't help but the slight smile that was creeping up on his face.

"I love you." Was all Yoongi said before looking away out of embarrassment, once again.

Jimin sat back, lunging his hands onto his chest like he had gotten shot. With the sound "ah!" he layed there in his chair with satisfaction.

"C'mon, me next, me next!" Hoseok said, looking at Yoongi with hope to his name. (Haha 😄)

"Not happening. Not again." Yoongi said, turning away from everyone to now stare at the camera men.

When did they get here?

"Awweee, but Yoongi-aah~ you gave the maknae's your affection, why can't you give it to me and Hoseok?" Seokjin said, putting both his hands on Yoongi's shoulders and instinctively squeezed fairly close to his collarbones.

"Nohohot happening- ehaha." Yoongi rushed a giggle before grabbing at Seokjin's hands to try and pry them off him. He twisted his head, while leaning forward in his chair to try and Dislodge his hands, but it was to no avail.

"Maybe I'll just have to tickle those words out of ya!" Seokjin said, before quickly moving his hands from Yoongi's shoulders down to his sides to scribble with ease.

"AH! Hahahaha! Lehehet gohoho!" Yoongi yelped, shooting his hands down to now grab at his hyungs hands, once again. He tried pushing Jin's hands away, but soon found out that it was no use, so he pulled at his wrists instead since he'd figured that he'd have more strength to do so. Which worked.. However, he made Seokjin leap out of his seat to crash into Yoongi, and down they went to the floor.

This had caused the rest of the members to look in worry for the two, knowing that they both get kind of pissy when falling unexpectedly.

"..Ohoho, my gohosh, are you ohokay, Hyung?!" Yoongi said, with a hint of regret now that he thinks that he hurt Seokjin. He turned around as much as he could, now resting on his elbows to look at Seokjin better, and gave him a look of worry before seeing how the oldest had a mischievous look on his face without even glaring at Yoongi. Seokjin caught himself with his own hands, thankfully, but he was still in the playful mood than to be annoyed that he got pulled to the ground with no warning.

"Yeah, I'm okay, but you're not going to be now that you just gave me more access to your sweet spots, eheh." Seokjin giggled with evil, but playful, intent. He pushed himself up by a tiny bit to get leverage from his knees, and used that opportunity to use both hands to go for Yoongi's ribs now.

"AAH! NAHAahaha! IHIHI'm SohOHOrry!! HYUHUHng dohOHOn't!!" Yoongi flintched at the sudden touch while grabbing at Seokjin's wrists once again to try and pry them off his sensitive ribs.

"Just say you love me, and this will all be over!" Seokjin said, digging a bit more into his ribs to emphasize his words.

"AAHAHAHA!- N-NEHEHAHAVER!" Yoongi is no surprise when it comes to his stubborness. So when Seokjin knowingly heard Yoongi, he moved his hands up more to the top of the spot where it meets the top rib, and the armpit.

Yoongi went ferral at that. He dragged his feet on the floor, as well as squirming from side to side to get away from the unbearable feeling that Seokjin was causing.

"NAHAHA! AHAHAHEHEHAHAH-KKCHEHEEHAHAHA! IHIHI'M SOHOHORRY! STAHAHAHP! S-STAHAHAHA!" Yoongi couldn't take it, the feeling was so unbearable, he didn't know what to say at that point. He resulted in curling in on himself, but due to Seokjin being in front of him, the back of the olderst stopped him from fully curling in, so he just swung to his side to face away from Jin.

"Don't be sorry about the fall, you dork. You know why he's tickling you, just say it!" Hoseok said, walking up to the two to join in. He waited until Seokjin moved from yoongi's upper body so he could go for his non-killable spots.

Seeing That Hoseok wanted to join fairly quickly, Seokjin changed in technique. He went for his hips this time, squeezing lightly as to not hurt the younger.

"AHAahahaha!- GihihiIHIive mehehe a breheheak!" Yoongi begged. He swung one of his legs here and there from the tickling that's being done on his hips, but it didn't help his predicament in the slightest.

"Just tell us you love us, Yoongi-aah!" Hoseok said, going for his sides that meet the bottom ribs with delicacy.

Gosh. Having two spots being tickled at the same time truly IS unbearable, Yoongi had thought. He closed his eyes shut, finally, to soak in the feeling as composed as possible, and just resulted in twisting his head from side to side.

"You know how to stop this, Shookie~" Seokjin sang out. He barely went for his hips to get Yoongi to say the words.

"I-Ihihihi'mhm nahahat sahahay shIHihit!" Yoongi blurted out, opening one of his eyes to look at Seokjin with the last of his determination.

He soon regretted it though, because Seokjin deadpanned his face at Yoongi, and went straight for the kill. His. Thighs.

"AAH- NAHAHA-!" Yoongi jolted at the feeling. He hasn't had his thighs be tickled in a LONG TIME. So when Seokjin dared to go that far for Yoongi to verbally show affection to his hyung, I can sure tell you that it worked.

"IHIHI L-LOVE YOHOHOU! SEHEOKJIHIN! - I LOVE YOU! THEHEHERE-!" Yoongi yelled at the top of his lungs for Seokjin to hear. Like music to the older's ears, he stopped his attack on Yoongi's thighs with a satisfied smile.

"See? Now was that hard, Shookie?" Seokjin asked, seeing how Hoseok was still going for Yoongi's sides.

"YEHEehes! EHEaha, J-HOPE! stahahap!" Yoongi demanded, hitting the younger's wrists lightly due to the fact that every last of his energy was nearly wiped from Seokjin's early attack.

"You haven't said 'I love you' to me, Hyung!" Hoseok said, giving Yoongi a sly look.

"Dohohon't puhuhush ihihit!" Yoongi said, trying to look and sound intimating, but his high pitched, and breathy giggles were not helping him.

"I'll go for the spot that Seokjin went for if you don't-" Hoseok was cut off by a quick and high pitched voice from the older. Did he also hear even more sporadic giggles from Yoongi when threatening him?

"IHIihihi lohohove YOHOHOU, hohoseok! Plehehease Dohohon't!" Yoongi said quickly, looking away from Hoseok with embarrassment.

"Awweee, I love you too, Yoongi-aah, haha!" Hoseok said, finally retrieving his attack on the older.

When Yoongi was finally let up from the attack, with Seokjin finally getting up off of him too, he quickly curled in on himself, and layed comfortably on his side, facing away from Seokjin and Hoseok.

"Isn't Yoongi just the cutest? He loves us!" Hoseok said, looking at the rest of the members.

"So all I had to do was tickle his thighs and he would say 'I love you' to me?!" Namjoon asked, knowing that he's the only one who hasn't gotten an 'I love you' from his hyung now.

"Dohohon't even thihink about it, Joon!" Yoongi said without looking at the leader.

"Oh I won't.. Not yet at least, ehaha." Namjoon giggled, looking at Yoongi as if the older could see his face right now.

Today will be a very long day for Yoongi. But hey? He would be lying if he said he didn't love them.

🍲 When did you start writing and why?

I started writing really young because I loved reading and wanted to tell my own stories! For kpop fanfic specifically, I got into kpop in 2020, then stumbled across kpop fanfic on tumblr and immediately got hooked. I never planned to write for it, until one day I got an idea for a soft Taehyung story and it simply would NOT leave me be!

Here's another fic I abandoned - this one is maybe 60-70% finished? Doesn't even have a title, it's just called "Librarian!JK" and it's about - you guessed it - reader falling for a tattooed librarian:

“Here’s an idea,” Yoongi drawls. “Instead of trying to discern his personality based on his appearance, why don’t you try actually talking to him?” “I do talk to him!”  “Harassing him about that book you need isn’t talking.” Yoongi has been your best friend for going on five years now. As such, he’s completely immune to your pouting. Never stops you from trying anyway. He merely stares at you with his deadpan expression, blinking calmly.  “Fine, it doesn’t count. But come on. What would I even talk to him about? And besides…” Your gaze bounces back to the circulation desk, like it always does, and you trail off at the sight that greets you. "Small world I guess" I shrug getting up from the seat taking the drinks.

The three of us head over to the table where the others were sitting placing the drinks on the table,then I take a seat between the minty-haired boy and Taehyung, who looks like he wants to mention something.

"Nice to meet you, I'm yoongi" The minty-haired boy gives me a small nod, I reply with a smile. "I'm Y/N."

(Taehyung communicating telepathically with yoongi).

"Hyung, I think I messed up a little."

"Now what did you do?"

"I just didn't know it was her friend, I acted like I don't care and now that I know it's her, I feel bad."

"It's just a moment where we all make mistakes either unconsciously"

"But, Hyung"

"Ask her to dance and tell her, easy"

"Everything sounds easy for you"

"You're earning a hit"

"Okay, but if she rejects me I'll blame you for the next eternities, and you'll give me all your little bags of blood."

"Squealer, that won't happen"

"Jin, let's have a dance duel" I look at him defiantly.

"Oh, you want to lose" Jin arches an eyebrow.

"Can I try?" Namjoon asks getting up from his seat, I feel a small touch on my arm, I turn around.

"Can we talk?" Taehyung asks me quietly with pleading eyes.

"Sure" We both get up from the seat. "I think there's a nice balcony upstairs, if my memory serves me right" I mention.

"Have you come here before?" He asks me as we both climb the stairs making our way through the crowd.

"3 years ago, I met hwasa here" I reply opening the door to balcony, we walk in.

"That's weird, I never saw you around here" Taehyung leans on the balcony turning back towards me as I walk towards where he is standing.

"You frequent these places a lot don't you? Actually, that night I beat up a guy who wanted to overdo it with her, I didn't last long, just sitting at the bar" I shrug.

"I used to frequent them a lot, but I don't think there's any reason to do it anymore" He looks at me. "How come you used to sit alone at the bar, if you're beautiful" I chuckle.

"Hard to believe, but I wasn't stereotypical, maybe I wasn't charming enough to talk or something" I squint a little to see the moon shining down on us.

"You don't need to be inside stereotypes" Taehyung takes my hands gently. "I want to tell you so many things."

"Can I try to guess?" I chuckle, he makes a confused face. "Yoongi Hyung already told you, I knew I shouldn't trust him" Taehyung frowns.

"He didn't tell me anything" I slightly deny.

"So?" Taehyung pouts a little.

"How about we say it on the count of 3 at the same time?" I Ask

"Okay, 1"

"2-"

"You're my destined partner" Taehyung shouts making people turn to look at us.

"Hey, missing three!" I claim to his

"But-" Taehyung's eyes glaze over, ready to turn around and leave.

"I already suspected it, when I saw you at the art gallery, I felt a connection" I walk over to hug him laughing. "Don't cry"

"Really? why didn't you tell me?" Taehyung wraps his arms around my waist.

"When I turned to see you, you were gone" I caress his head.

"Because you were with your boyfriend weren't you?" He whispers

"Who? Namjoon? He's not my boyfriend, we're just friends" I laugh.

"Really?" Taehyung raises his head where we both stare at each other. I nod, he relaxes . "You know I thought he was going to kill me" We both laugh.

"He don't hurt no flies" I mention.

"Well, then can we get to know each other more?" He clasps our hands together.

"Sure but-" Before I finish speaking, he interrupts me.

"I'll go with you, I don't have anything here" Taehyung gives me his classic cute square smile.

"Are you willing to leave the things you lived here? I feel it's something to speed up-" I can't finish because he puts my hand on his cold cheek.

"Please, I've waited so long" he rests his cheek on my hand.

"Alright, come on it's getting cold up here" I take his hand back.

"Can I warm up-, Ouch" I give him a little smack on the back of his head.

"Not yet, you've been drinking" I give Taehyung a look.

"You maintain that we should do better without drinking? me too" He smiles as we go down to the dance floor

"And then what were you going to say" I arch an eyebrow.

"That I could warm you up, hugging you" Taehyung pouts

We see a crowd surrounding two people, we approach, I find Jin dancing butterfly style and Namjoon trying to twerk, I laugh causing Jin to pull me into the circle, I look at Taehyung asking for help but he is talking to Yoongi.

"Until you show up, go ahead show your talent" Jin steps back dancing.

"Done" I move dancing like jelly.

"Girl what have you missed" Hwasa enters the circle swaying her hips.

"Really?" I ask trying to pull away

"Where are you going?" Jin pulls me back.

"Ouch, I don't have good stamina, I want to sit down" I pout.

"It's ok, we might as well take a break" Namjoon looks at Jin.

We walk to the table where Taehyung and Yoongi are talking, in the blink of an eye Yoongi yells at Taehyung.

"You can't just decide what to do!" Yoongi stands up from the seat.

"I'm old enough to make decisions!" Taehyung bares his fangs.

"Oh yeah?! A few fucking hours ago you didn't know what to do with your life" Yoongi's eyes turn ruby red

"Can't you just support me...I've spent time looking for her, could you come with me Hyung" Taehyung stretches her arms to get closer to Yoongi, who frowns

"Everything okay?" Namjoon asks them.

"We shouldn't cause a scene here" Jin whispers looking at some guards watching us

"Sorry to cause trouble" I bow directing my gaze to Yoongi, who opens his eyes

"You're not causing any, it's just Hyung, right?" Taehyung takes my cheeks between his calloused hands.

"Yes, I've simply spent eternities taking care of this child, that I find it hard to believe" Yoongi snorts.

"See - what child, I'm an adult Hyung" Taehyung hugs me giving me a kiss on the head.

"Can we go then?" yawning

"Sure, who's driving?" Namjoon Asks.

"Well, Y/N has a sleepy face, in the blink of an eye she can kill us if she drives" Jin denies.

"Hey! You offend me" I pout.

"Hyung can drive" Taehyung looks at Yoongi in a plea.

"What about our car" Yoongi arches an eyebrow.

"How about I teleport us?" I smile

"No way, last time you left us on Mount Everest" Jin claims.

"But it was unintentional!" I pout, hiding in Taehyung.

"So?" Namjoon asks

"Let me try!" I look at Jin

"Fine, but I don't answer if something happens" Jin rolls his eyes, we get out in front of the cars.

"Now which car?" Taehyung looks at Yoongi.

"I'd rather miss yours than mine" Yoongi mentions teasingly.  

"Well, then I guess we can get in" Namjoon walks up to the Co-Pilot's door.

"I'll go in the back for safety" Jin climbs in the back.

"So see you later?" I look at Taehyung

"We can meet tomorrow, how about going out for lunch, Oh wait, your number" Taehyung holds out his cell phone, I shake my number but not a nickname, I try to see how to schedule me but he backs up, I follow him until he trips over a rock, I try to steady myself but fall on top of him.

"Get a room" Jin laughs.

"Don't be mean!" I stand up extending a hand to Taehyung blushing.

"Maybe we should" Taehyung takes my hand standing up, whispering to me.

"Tortolos show is over" Yoongi gets in the car.

"See you later dear" Taehyung kisses the back of my hand to walk to the car.

I get in the car to channel everyone's energy, I close my eyes visualizing my aunt's house, in the blink of an eye we are in front of the house.

"You finally made it!" Jin laughs.

"I've always made it" I glare at him.

"You know I never doubt you, I like to see you bring out the best in you" Jin winks at me

"Can we stay for a rest tomorrow?" Namjoon yawns

"Sure, but I think I'm going out" I murmur, opening the door.

"I still don't want grandchildren" Jin says goodbye to go to his room

"Rest" I say goodbye to go to sleep but I receive an incoming call, I watch Namjoon go down the stairs giving a little bow

"Hello Hello, is my precious gem still awake?" I hear Taehyung's hoarse voice.

"I was going straight to bed now, I can't feel my body" I put the phone on speaker as I get dressed to sleep.

"Then you need training" He laughs

"Thank you very much for the offer but I'm fine" I yawn lying down on the bed

"Did you get to the place okay what was it?" he asks me

"Pff, yeah, I'm good at this" I mumble.

"I'll pick you up tomorrow, get some rest" Taehyung blows a kiss before hanging up.

The day starts cloudy as I look out the window, I stretch before looking at the messages on my cell phone

I decide to open the last few messages, I have a suspicion it's Taehyung.

Dearydeary💕: Who is it supposed to be? XXX-XXXXXX-XXX: I'm supposed to assume you gave your number to someone else...or don't you love me anymore?

I see a picture of taehyung smiling in red silk pajamas, I walk downstairs agendizing Tae, when I bump into Namjoon.

"Careful" He mentions before going up to the library with a coffee in his hands.

"Until you decide to come down, I thought you stuck to the bed" Jin puts two plates on the table, I take a seat.

"I didn't take too long" I put my cell phone aside to start eating, when I get a call from Taehyung, Jin takes my phone and answers for me.

"She is not available" Jin mentions seriously.

"Bullshit" I tell him eating trying to reach my cell phone.

"I just wanted to know if I could come and spend time with Y/N-" I hear Taehyung's voice as Jin puts it on speakerphone.

"Shu Shu, you already saw her last night, besides it's going to rain" Jin frowns.

"But it's not the same, I want to know her well" I hear him put sad voice. I look at Jin

"Fine but you'll have to pass the interrogation, if not, I'll tell Namjoon to help put a stake in you" Jin laughs before leaving and handing me my cell phone

"Don't listen to him, I'll protect you" I smile

"It shouldn't be like this, it would be the other way around, this vampire will protect his gem" Taehyung mentions it with a hoarse voice which makes me feel small

"See you in 15" I say goodbye before hanging up.

I take a quick shower before changing into comfortable clothes, I sit on the couch to make a video call to Aisha, she is an old friend who is studying medicine. I see her brown curls peeking out on the camera.

"Until you remember I exist" Aisha snorts.

"You're sometimes busy too" I pout.

"But I do send out signs of life, unlike you" She grimaces at me.

"Well, no fighting, how did it go?" We both laugh.

"Well, here's waiting for my knight in armor" She winks at me.

"Can you give me a dissection now?" I see her frown

"You're about to start, that's why you're still alone."

"I've got you" I wink at her, I see Namjoon walk behind and watch the video call

"Hi handsome" Aisha greets

"Hi" Namjoon waves and walks away with a book in his hand.

"You what?" I raise an eyebrow

"Is it yours?" Aisha pouts

"Of course not, mine is nicer" She smiles

"Did you manage to find your destined partner? What else haven't you told me? I'm already an aunt too?" Aisha speaks in surprise.

"Yes, not much has happened, you know I don't want children" I grimace.

"But if your partner wants to? Besides it would be nice to see little Y/N running around and coming to their aunt" We both laugh.

"Adopting is an option, and let's not keep talking about it, you'll be done with the semester soon right?" I ask

"boringoo, and yes, we should celebrate, I know what I want for a present" Aisha smiles mischievously

"What?"

"The guy I just passed with the book in his hands"

"I don't traffic people" I roll my eyes.

"But if you could, you would"

"Of course not"

I feel the doorbell ring, I look at Aisha, Jin comes down the stairs.

"Talk to you later" We say goodbye, I look at Jin leaning on the door blocking the entrance toTaehyung, I get up from the sofa.

"Jinnieeeeeee" I try to push Jin aside to let Taehyung in.

"Namjoon bring the stake!" Jin yells, I see Taehyung get nervous, I sneak into a small space and manage to hug Tae.

"Hello dear" Taehyung gives me a kiss on the head.

"So young man, let's go to the interrogation" Jin drags me back inside the house.

"Wait! I brought you something" Taehyung goes to his car, opens the car door taking out a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. Jin gives space so we can talk better inside the house, Taehyung approaches me and hands me the things smiling.

"Thank you" I look at the bouquet, it contains daisies, and tulips.

"You're welcome-" Jin takes it to the sofa, Namjoon arrives with a stake.

"That's not necessary Jin" I mentioned putting the flowers in a vase, walking to the kitchen keeping the chocolates inside the refrigerator.

"I promise I'm not violent" Taehyung raises his hands in defense.

"What are your intentions?" Jin points the stake at him, Namjoon stands next to me.

"Is it normal for me to do that?" Namjoon asks.

"Well, as you may know, in my life I haven't had any steady partners, I literally haven't dated anyone" I shrug my shoulders

"So, it's your first time doing an interrogation?" Namjoon mentions, I nod"In a way, he's doing it right" We both laugh.

"I've finished the book" Namjoon smiles."That's good, are you reading a new one now?" I ask

"Yeah, under the same star" He nods.

"That one I read in high school, it made me cry" I pout as I see Jin saying a bunch of consequences to Taehyung if he lets me.

"Do you have a favorite book?" Namjoon asks.

"Not for now" I walk up to Jin touching his shoulder.

"I think I'm done now, but I'll keep an eye on him" Jin glares at him, thunder rumbles

"He won't do anything wrong, right?" I approach Taehyung to caress his head.

"I would never forgive myself"" Taehyung denies as he rests his head on my stomach.

"Well, can we eat?" I look at the clock, it's 12:30 and the rain is starting to come down

"I haven't made anything yet, if you want to make food with magic" Jin shrugs his shoulders.

"I promised to make lunch together" Taehyung looks at me.

"Did you bring any ingredients?" Jin looks at him.

"No, but-" Jin interrupts him.

"See? He didn't bring any" Jin frowns.

"But there you have ingredients, no problem" I mention.

I already missed this, got me thinking because I was waiting for my own actualization lol, this weekends was so crazy and stressed but anyway, thanks for the wait♡

God knows how long it had been after it hit midnight when Yoongi stood in the kitchen. His eyes were red and heavy with drowsiness, but he couldn't sleep that night.

How does one sleep through a restless, biting night?

Surely not with a bad headache, or overflowing thoughts, and especially not with guilt chewing on his core.

He gulped, throat begging to be quenched as it held onto a slight, delicious, yet bothersome burning sensation. He opened the fridge and filled a glass with some water, raising it to his lips when loud a cry of his name, followed with a thud and a number of sobs, disturbed the quiet of the night and made him jump, startled.

His limbs froze in their place, glass almost slipping his hand and crashing on the floor when his sleep deprived brain realized that the muffled cries were yours.

Wide awake, he dashed after the sound. Thirst and sleep no longer occupied his mind, all he could think of was holding you in his arms.

He found you on the stairs, trembling as you wailed into your hands.

He hated it so much: seeing you in pain. He wanted nothing more than to shield you from the rainfall of your gloomy sky, from his own rainfall, from the world. How could one be an umbrella and the rain at once?

He blinked, once, twice, then gulped and heaved a deep, tired breath.

One storm doesn’t require another storm to be calmed down, that he knew. One needs to be composed and collected to stand still during a storm, that he knew as well.

With worried eyes, he gently called out your name and walked up to you, “darling, what’s wrong?”

You looked up as soon as you heard his worried voice, some tiny sense of relief washed over you when you saw him right there. A hundred daggers digged so deep into his heart and bones, aching, the moment a broken whimper of his name fell from your lips.

Without a second thought, Yoongi hugged your face to his chest. One of his hands was patting your back and the other affectionately caressed your head.

As he listened to his name that never left your lips, Yoongi held you there on the cold of the stairs with nothing but sweet nothings whispered back to your ears.

Everything he did and said was so gentle and soft, like he was so afraid you'd crack and come to tiny bits and pieces at any given moment. It all made you want to cry even harder, to hold him so tight and never let go.

Soon, when your tears started winding down, pulled away and cradled your face with his hands, palms faintly pressing on your cheeks as if he hoped to share their warmth with you.

Tender eyes met your wet ones and stared as their owner’s voice made its way through the noise of your sniffles and hiccups. He said, “It’s alright. I'm here. Talk to me, hmm?”

You answered his plea with a small nod, before wiping your tear stained skin and hugging him again. He smelt like home. You took a deep breath, greedily feeding your lungs with his lovely scent.

He hugged you back, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling your body closer to his. He pressed light kisses on your temple, patiently waiting for you to talk.

“I had a really scary nightmare. so, so scary- I woke up, didn’t find you there- then…then I remembered the fight we had earlier. I…I thought I lost you- I'm sorry. sorry for the stupid things I said earlier. I love you so much! please don’t leave. please..”

Your voice quivered with fresh tears ready to be spilled again. Yoongi started hushing you as soon as he noticed that you were working yourself up.

Squeezing you in his arms, he whispered “I never left, and I never will.”

“I’m all right, nothing happened to me, see?” he leaned away just enough to allow you to take a quick look at his body, then added, “a stupid fight is not going to make me leave. I love you way too much for that, and I'm sorry for hurting you too.”

He could still read fear and uncertainty all over your face, and he didn't like that. He knew that you trusted him, and he didn't doubt your love for him.

At first, he didn't get it. He didn't understand the insecurities, the anxiety and the nightmares you suffered from especially after the inevitably worst of arguments that happened between you and him. But after longer and deeper talks, with you expressing your feelings and him listening with careful ears, it made much more sense to him.

Sometimes he hated himself for triggering your alarms and making it harder for you, but he knew it was neither his fault nor was it yours.

Growth and pain are two key elements that come arm in arm with love, and fights are an unpreventable part of any kind of relationship. For all that, he always ended up blaming himself for making you question your worth to him when he can't even sleep without you happily cuddling his side.

Softly, lovingly, he started prepping tender kisses over your cheeks, nose, forehead, chin, temples, all over your flushed face.

It worked like watching waving fields of green wheat dancing with the wind, your storm started to slowly die down and your heart felt at ease again. slowly, but definitely.

Smiling ever so affectionately, Yoongi sealed his reassurance with a loving kiss that consumed you whole, and it left the corners of your mouth curving up in a dazzling smile. You nuzzled his chest and sighed.

“I really hate fighting with you.” you mumbled into his clothed chest, drained and light headed from all the crying and nearly-a-panic-attack you went through.

“I know, I'm sorry. I hate it too." he whispered back.

There was a pause of comfortable silence, with both of you breathing each other in, before he wondered aloud: “did you fall down the stairs? are you okay?”

You chuckled breathily at his question, recalling the hysteria he had to deal with just a few minutes ago. But Yoongi was there, right beside you. your arms were tightly wrapped around his torso, right by your side.

He had some kind of exceptionally irrepressible magic in those fierce eyes and that gummy smile of his, you inarguably couldn’t be more grateful for that.

“I'm alright. Was too busy crying, I didn’t even feel a thing to be honest.” you said, and he giggled.

“I love when you’re clumsy like that, but please be more careful, muffin. Can’t have you hurting yourself because of me even more." Even with your face buried into the crook of his neck, you could feel and hear the heavy pout in that comment.

Huffing, you leaned away with furrowed brows and a strict gaze. Yoongi gulped. Hesitation took over him, yet he knew that honesty is the only thing that must be present to drive this conversation to an end.

Honestly brings clarity, he found himself reminding himself of that very often.

"as long as we take care of each other, it's okay. I love you." you affirmed, and perhaps Yoongi almost teared up because of the way you looked at him right then and there. He wouldn't utter a word to spoil that information out loud, though.

The shy grin and the flushed cheeks you were met with were worth risking the entire world and its eight billion residents. You couldn't help but smile and pull him into another hug.

"This is great and all, but my butt is numbed. I think there's no blood flowing down there anymore," he said, his heart swooning when you giggled at his humorous change of topic, so relieved that he was finally able to hear your brightness again.

"Let's go back to rest, darling." He stood up, grabbed your hand and squeezed it in his, then gently pulled your body up and dragged you to your shared bedroom, where everything and everyone else meant little to nothing at all as you laid in each other's arms.

your wirting is so descriptive and like emotional in a way it's like entering into the world of the fic, your way with words is just magical!!!! really love it! could you give some tips/advice on how you have managed to build your skills to this good of a level? is there anything specific you do while writing fics that give you inspiration?

Just a disclaimer, I don’t have a literature/creative writing background or anything. But my writing experience is on the analytical side as a political science major but I suppose that helped in writing in general. But at least by personal experience, I can share a few things but pls also check out other sources! Super long post ahead 👇🏽

First of all, I’m an emotional person in general. I feel a lot and looking back, I think journaling as a child helped in my ability to express my emotions. I won’t say I was an avid reader but I would read growing up; Paulo Coelho was a staple. By the time I was in high school, I would write short passages and short stories about what I was experiencing so I really started way before my fanfic era. Secondly, I was going through a tough time from 2021-2022, and that was when I was most prolific, so there was really a lot to say. So in a way, my emotional way of writing was also a coping mechanism. Now for the tips:

Intent. I started reading BTS fanfic right when the pandemic started and I found a lot of comfort in them. And so when I started writing, it was my intention to give comfort as well, and I personally believe that being emotionally vulnerable is one way to do that. I like to balance the rawness with warmth so there will always be supporting characters whose main purpose is to give care and comfort. With that, I'm able to go all out with the emotions without leaving the reader too overwhelmed by them. But it starts with the intention because you have to...

Build it within the story, and not just in scenes or as character traits. You have to be consistent so don't just describe the setting, describe the characters' emotions as well all throughout. I would give my characters specific scenes where they're really just thinking and feeling (it's also a personal practice of mine!) or having moments where they're just taking things in. So it's important to actually let them feel. Which is also why...

You, as a writer, should allow yourself to also feel. Pull from somewhere personal if you can, or from something familiar. One reason I think the stories are as impactful (and this is based off the wonderful messages I've received) is because I let myself be vulnerable through them, which is also why I say that there's a piece of me in everything I write. There's no one story that is my story, but there's at least an experience, a thought, a mindset, a personality trait, a specific fear, and a belief of mine integrated in the characters/stories. It'll feel a lot more natural that way and also more cathartic. To do this, I would literally have moments of just sitting down with my eyes closed. 😂

Play around with the POVs. I do mixed POVs in all my stories and I find that more effective in bringing in the emotions because the reader is able to know (and feel) what all the characters are feeling, especially during a specific scene. There's that omnipotence where you're able to know the narrative of another character as well so the story is basically laid out for you. It may not be the best if you want plot twists or the shock factor, but those aren't really my intent, although the mixed POVs is also a good tool for those. One of my favourite things I've written is when [SPOILER⛔️] in TLA, Amma was talking about Yoongi's letters and you get to read his POV through her. It's the make-your-own-rules-in-fanfiction that makes it fun!

Envision your core scenes and build up to that. Before writing a story, I already know what scenes will drive it. PLM started off as a scene of JK hugging OC from the back and feeling sorry and I thought, what would bring them to that point? Oh, I want them to have a major fight, so [SPOILER⛔️] I had to build up OC being protective of her emotions so when she cried for the first time, it was emotional. I also envisioned Inevitable to have that scene of [SPOILER⛔️] OC breaking down while watching father-and-son bond but I think what added to that was Jungwon wiping her tears, so I made sure to mention that prior. This is also why I describe scenes a lot and why I pay attention to details. I like pulling them out during key moments.

Be patient with yourself. The dialogues could come right away like in the FFY [SPOILER⛔️] scene of JK going to OC in the water, that speech was written before I even finished writing chapter 1 and I had to wait to write the entire story before I could get to that but that was my basis. Or the dialogues could come at a later time and that's also fine. Don't rush it! The perfect line that would usually make your scene will come.

Be inspired by any types of art and immerse yourself in it as you write. I made playlists for PLM, ASDOAH, and Belong that I constantly listened to while writing. Untitled is Indigo in story form for me. TLODS was inspired by the story Dead Stars that I kept reading as well. ASDOAH was inspired by the poem Mouthful of Forevers. Seeing the Tumblr posts about grief and loss helped while writing TLA. Even everyday things can give you inspiration! They help with meaning, feeling, and expression.
