SVU team x Reader:
The whole team and their kids are meeting up for a nice picnic at the park. Noah and Jesse ask if Reader and Carisi can come play football with them. While watching you play with the kids, Olivia is losing herself in watching you. Amanda notices.

The warm spring wind on this Saturday gently caressed the green meadows of Central Park, while the sun slowly emerged from behind the clouds and scattered its rays over the many playing children and their parents. A pleasant breeze blew through the branches, the sounds of nature. In the middle of this hustle and bustle was the team from the Special Victims Unit, who wanted to gather outside for a well-deserved afternoon.
Olivia Benson, SVU's veteran captain, entered the park with her 9-year-old son, Noah. The bright sun reflected in the little boy's eyes as he excitedly led his mother to the playground. Olivia smiled, her mind briefly lingering on work, but today was a day of rest and togetherness.
Amanda Rollins entered the park a few minutes later with her two daughters, Jesse and Billie, chatting happily and moving from one exciting story to the next. Dominick Carisi was also there and they both watched their girls lovingly, a warm smile on their faces before Noah called the two girls with a loud scream of their names and they immediately rushed over to join him. Carisi smiled proudly and felt blessed to share this moment of joy with his family.
Finn Tutuola, the group's sergeant, also entered the park, alone but with a big grin on his face. He knew he would already enjoy the company and the vibrancy of his team and the park, even though he didn't have any children of his own. His colleagues and their families had become like his own family, and that was more than enough for him.
And then there was you, an important part of the team, arriving with a warm smile and a picnic basket in hand. Although you didn't have children of your own in your young years, you always had a special connection with your colleagues' children and enjoyed spending time with them.
Together you all found a shady spot at a picnic table under a large tree and laid out lunch while the children ran around and laughed. The world seemed to stand still for a moment as the SVU team and their children enjoyed the beauty of life together in the park.
You all sat together at the table, chatting comfortably while relaxing leisurely. The mood was light and relaxed as the children ran across the lawn cheering each other. Noah and Jesse had just discovered the soccer ball in the bag Olivia had brought, and they enthusiastically asked Carisi and you to play soccer with them. "Y/n, can you play soccer with us? Please, please!" Noah asked and you couldn't resist his bright and big eyes, so you agreed to join the game with a smile. "Sure, Noah. I'm in."
"And you, Uncle Carisi? Do you play on our team?" Jesse also asked, taking his hand without hesitation and looking at him with her googly eyes. "Of course Jesse."
The kids cheered as you and Carisi joined the soccer group. You should play on Noah's team and Carisi on the girls' team. You both stood up, your eyes meeting briefly before joining the excited children. You took a quick look at the ADA and saw a smile on his lips. It was a moment of quiet exchange of togetherness.
You felt the familiar texture of the soccer ball beneath your feet as you juggled the ball, passing it to Noah with precision and skill. Carisi appeared less adept, passing the ball to the children more often than he had it under the soles of his shoes himself.
Noah in particular was impressed by your ability to keep up with them. He watched in fascination as you skillfully outsmarted Carisi, mastered the ball perfectly and effortlessly fought your way through the walls that Carisi seemed to build with his body. "Wow, y/n! You play really good!" The little boy remarked, pausing for a moment to take a sip of water. "Thanks, Noah. I used to play a lot, I was even on a team."
"Really cool!" the laughter of the children filled the air as they challenged each other and continued to run with you across the lawn, accompanied by the deft movements of their adult teammates.
Carisi was surprised by your skills on the ball. He didn't expect you to be so good. His respect for you grew as he watched you jump over his straddle with ease and grace, overwhelming him to the point where he wanted to give up. A warm feeling of admiration spread through him as he watched you having fun with the children and sharing their joy.
“Respect y/n, I didn’t expect that.” spoke the young ADA, giving you a high five. You smiled gratefully as you passed the ball back to Jesse, who happily passed it to her sister.
Meanwhile, Olivia continued to sit at the table and watched you play with the children. She admired the ease with which you blended into the world, the bright smile on your face as you laughed and joked with the children. It was a sight that warmed her heart and she couldn't help but get lost in your movements.
Amanda noticed her best friend's pensive look and stepped next to her, holding her third and youngest daughter in her arms. "Earth to Liv?" She asked, waving her hand in front of the brunette's face. She looked up in shock, her smile disappearing. "Sorry Amanda, what did you say?"
"You should stop staring at her like that. You're already drooling like a dog who can't wait to get it´s bone," the blonde giggled before sitting across from her best friend and placing her hand on the brunette's. "You're so in love, how can you hide it any longer?"
Olivia raised her eyebrows in surprise and now completely looked away from you and over to Amanda, who had an amused smile on her lips. "What? In love? I don't know what you're talking about, Amanda. I'm just being professional and watching the football game"
Amanda rolled her eyes and grinned mischievously as she gave the baby a bottle as she began to whine. "Sure, Liv. Just like I 'professionally' get ice cream out of the fridge at night as soon as the kids are asleep so I don't have to share. Come on, feel free to admit that you like y/n."
The unit captain laughed softly and shook his head to make her thoughts disappear. "Well, maybe a little." She spoke admittedly, pulling her hand away to brush her hair out of her face. "A little? Ha! I knew it! So when are you finally going to take her out?"
Olivia leaned back and let her gaze wander back to you, who was currently carrying Noah on your shoulders while you happily ran with him to the playground to hang him on the climbing frame. As you did, you heard Noah's loud laughter as you swayed him back and forth like a plane.
"Maybe I should think of something. But at the moment I'm just happy that she fits in so well with the team." She spoke and Amanda winked at her as she stood up to go to Jesse and Billie who called her. She walked around the table again and playfully pressed her elbow against her shoulder.
"Sure, sure. But don't forget that sometimes life is too short, especially in this job, to not enjoy it. So go ahead, do something! Maybe you could invite her to a romantic dinner."
Olivia laughed and nodded her head, imagining how she should ask you and where she should take you if you agreed to her. She looked over at you and Noah again, then decided to join you and spend time with you. She was nervous but also excited about the possibility of asking you out and having a lot of fun in the process if she found the courage to ask you.

₊ ⊹🪻 ✧ ˚. ᵎᵎ 🔮
n.amaro x reader
summary: you were younger then nick by a couple of years, and sometimes he’d come over to your apartment after late nights at the precinct, he’d come over to just enjoy peace and serenity
content: fluff, reader is in school (2nd or 3rd year of college) suggestive acts (nothing extreme), age gap!, mentions of sexual abuse due to svu cases, nothing too triggering, just a fluffy one shot overall
super short
✧ ✧
it was late at night, you were working on an essay that was due by the end of the week.. you were getting strained and decided to take a break and call it a day.
You made yourself a quick meal, spicy buldak noodles, a sandwich and your favorite drink that was saved in the fridge. You prepared your meal as you were watching your favorite show. you were almost done preparing your late-night snack when you heard the doorknob shake.
You lived a pretty safe vicinity so the chances of a burgler were slim, but you still were vigilant about your safety, you quickly grabbed your broom and held it tight.
Upon your discovery, the door opened and you saw your boyfriend… nick.
You sighed of relief, and he looked at you worried
“Jesus Nick, you scared me!” “geez sorry, i thought this neighbor was safe?”
you put the broom down, “I mean it is but you never know” “yeah.. tell me about it”
he walked to you as you went back in finishing preparing your ramen, he went behind you and grabbed you hips and nuzzled his head in between your neck, kissing you, making you giggle due to his stubble
he continued and you moved your head slightly to give him more access, he took this as a sign to continue. You tried not to get distracted but you let a soft moan escape.
he laughed, and started moving up your body; cupping your boobs. You laughed and finally pushed him away
“stop Nick” you laughed “I want to eat, I’ve been working on an assignment for the past 5 hours.” he let go and laughed “my hard working girl, okay okay I’ll let you eat but next time, you’re all mine!”
you shook your head in sarcasm, he took of his jacket and unbuttoned his white shirt a couple of buttons down, and took off his shoes. He adjusted himself on your couch, and laid there with his eyes closed taking in the aroma therapy essential oils diffuser thats going around your room.
you look at him, now realizing that he’s here strangely. Nick stops by late nights most weekends or if it’s a weekday he’ll let you know earlier in the day if he’s stopping by, but it’s currently a Tuesday at 12:36 am.
“hey Nick?”
he hummed in response, most likely getting sleepy
“not to sound rude or anything.. but why are you here? It’s late on a Tuesday night, shouldn’t you be at your place?”
He opened one eye and looked over at you
“do you not want me here?” He said a bit suspicious
“oh god, no like yeah I do, but I just realized what day it was and you know you usually let me know when you’re coming over and it’s usually weekends you spend the night with me, I just found it odd you came to visit me tonight” “I love it when you’re here really”
you finally finished your ramen and took it towards the couch where Nick was, and started eating as you waited for a response.
he was hesitant in his answer, he seemed stressed and frustrated.
“today we had a tough case.. a rape case..”
you look at him attentively, making sure you are hearing him and that he has your fullest attention.
you nod in continuous
“and well… it’s about a 8 year old girl who’s after school teacher has been acting inappropriately with her.. you know like touching her where she shouldn’t be touched”
“oh my god” was what you let out
“yeah, and her home life isn’t easy, this one was a bit tough to work on dude to how young and bright this little girl is. I hate to see anyone take it away from her”
you put your ramen down and get close to him, caressing his hand.
“and being here.. with you just brings me peace. All is perfect here, so sorry i came unexpected but i really needed to see you”
you smiled at him
“awe baby, you know you are always welcomed here, I love having you here, never goes a day where I don’t miss you”
you make him look at you and caress his cheek, looking so attentively at his eyes, leaning in and kissing him so gracefully.
he takes you in, and guides a hand on your neck. You move to his lap and continue to kiss him, sucking on each others lips, and you slightly grinding on him
he groans a bit and you continue to bit his lip. You pull away with his lip in between your teeth and stare at him and run a finger across his now plumped lips
“thank you for coming over”
“thank you for having me”

Can we get an Only 1 Bed fic- for whoever you first think of
The Motel - [ Sonny Carisi ]
Summary: You and Sonny arrive at your motel only to find out that your room…only has one bed
Word Count: 2435
Warnings: female!reader, fluff

Tumblr media
It was late by the time you and Sonny arrived in Pennsylvania. Too late to do anything other than check into the nearest, cheapest motel and hopefully get a few hours of sleep before you had to head off again to track down your suspect. Normally in cases like this, you’d have both gotten your own rooms to venture off to sleep in, despite having been partners for years and experienced a hell of a lot more together than a simple slumber party.
However this time, things were a little bit different in that particular department. For starters, the motel you’d come across was small. Like a mere handful of rooms, kind of small, meaning that by the time you had arrived and checked in, there was only a single room left on the entirety of the property.
It wasn’t that surprising honestly, given that it was the time of year when everyone was venturing off on their road-trip vacations and stopping to sleep in every single town they passed through. It didn’t bother you either. You were that exhausted you could have happily slept on a log on the side of the road if it meant getting to close your eyes for even just a brief minute.
Luckily, that wasn’t the case here as you’d managed to secure that last room for yourselves. There was only one slight problem, though. One you didn’t see coming and one the check-in clerk had seemingly forgotten to mention. Or he had simply assumed you and Sonny were a couple therefore neglected to, and that was…
There was only one bed.
“The check-in guy didn’t think to mention that?” Sonny muttered with a minor grievance the second he followed you inside the rather stagnant motel room, closing the door behind him and sliding the safety chain securely into place.
By the time he turned around, you had already set your bag on the large double bed and taken your coat and shoes off, your toes wiggling against the worn-out old carpet as you stretched them out from being stuck in your boots for almost a full twenty-four hours. He glanced around him as you did, his lips falling minutely as he reluctantly set his bag atop the small, barely even a couch, loveseat that he gazed questionably at.
Now there’s something that would be less comfortable than a roadside log, that much he was certain of.
“I guess I’ll take the couch,” Sonny exhaled, slipping his arms from within the soft warmth of his coat as you spun around to face him, your brow furrowing deeply as your eyes landed on the ‘couch’ in question.
You let out a laugh, “Sonny, are you crazy? You’re like seven feet tall, there’s no way that will be comfortable… You take the bed, let me sleep there.”
Lifting your bag from the bed, you moved towards him and picked his up from the arm of the chair, holding it out for him to take. He refused, causing you to sigh exasperatedly as you shook it, widening your eyes to try and encourage his stubborn ass to take it from you.
“Absolutely not,” Sonny protested, raising his hands up as though he were surrendering — when in reality it was simply to stop you from shoving the bag into them. “My mother would smack me upside the head if she found out that I made you sleep there.”
“Who’s gonna tell her?” You tilted your head questionably, finding amusement when Sonny simply frowned in response. He hadn’t thought about that. You set the bag down, its weight from whatever the hell was in it causing your arm to grow numb, and you chuckled, “That’s what I thought. Now move your skinny ass, okay, I’m perfectly capable of sleeping on a couch for a couple of hours.”
Like a child, Sonny shook his head and refused to move so much as an inch away from the couch. He even shoved you away and instead directed you back over to the bed, the back of your legs hitting against it frame and causing you to lose your balance. You fell onto it softly, the springs squeaking beneath you as you straightened and did nothing but watch Sonny lift a blanket from the back of the couch and begin unfold it.
Even the blanket didn’t look big enough to fully cover him, and you knew he wouldn’t sleep so much as a wink tonight if he stayed there. But you also knew it would be pointless to keep arguing with him. He was stubborn, and proud, and you were far, far too tired to keep going relentlessly back and forth with him. So instead you gave in, unzipping your bag with a quiet sigh and grabbing what you needed before heading for the bathroom.
When you ventured back out after doing your nightly routine as best you could, Sonny was already lying rigid on the couch, like he was afraid to move so much as an inch incase the blanket slipped off the small part of him it actually covered. You deposited your stuff into your bag in silence then sat down on the edge of the bed, folding your arms as you drew your eyes along the entire length of his body.
“Sonny, seriously…” You began, gaining his attention and noticing the way he seemed surprised to see you. As though he’d been hoping to be ‘asleep’ by the time you got back in order to avoid the very conversation you were about to begin. “The entire lower half of your legs are hanging over the arm of that couch, will you please let me sleep there?”
“No way, alright? I’m fine,” Sonny replied, almost sternly as he shuffled a little more then sighed contently — which was obviously forced as boy was he uncomfortable. “See, I’ve already got myself settled.”
You scoffed, “Yeah, it really looks like it.”
“Will you just forget about me and get some sleep, please?” Sonny gestured to the bed, “You’re running on fumes and besides, we’ll only be here for a couple hours anyway.”
“Fine,” You sighed, standing up from the bed and rounding it to the side furthest from the door.
You pulled back the covers, giving the bottom sheet a quick once over for any stains or creepy crawlies that may be lurking beneath it. You were honestly tempted to pull out a black light and check it properly, but then again you’d rather not think about what that would reveal and instead, decided to just bite the bullet and get into it. Only, before you could slip in between the cold, crisp sheets, you caught sight of Sonny stretching. He let out a rather rough sounding groan as he did…then nearly wrecked the coffee table by almost falling off the couch.
“If this is how it’s going to be with you all night, then I’m going to go out and sleep in the car,” You said, folding your arms as you peered over at him, watching as he fixed himself back into the cushions and glanced towards you apologetically. He then grew stiff as a board — as though he were afraid to move should you shout at him again. You let out a soft sigh, your shoulders sinking as you dropped your arms back down to your sides. “Sorry, I get cranky when I’m tired.”
“I know,” Sonny said, shifting a little and trying his hardest not to showcase it. But you saw him. He wasn’t at all subtle and you could easily notice the slight grimace to his features when he moved the wrong way and his calf began to tense up.
“Sonny, you’re clearly uncomfortable,” You said, fiddling with the sleeves of the hoodie you always wore to bed at the thought of speaking your next words out loud. But you knew you had to. You wouldn’t sleep at all if you knew he would be spending the entire night like this. “If you’re not gonna let me take the couch, then… Why don’t you join me?”
Sonny nearly choked on his own saliva, “I’m sorry?”
“Sleep in the bed with me. It’s big enough,” You said, gesturing to the large bed that would be far more comfortable for a man of his height. And Sonny knew it. He’d been eyeing it up from the moment he entered the room, yet he still almost looked like he was about to throw up. At that you raised your eyebrow, your tone turning playful so quickly, it almost gave you whiplash. “What? Are you scared your mother might find out you’re sleeping with a girl?”
“My mother? Nah, but my grandma…” Sonny widened his eyes a little as he shook his head, not even wanting to imagine his grandmothers reaction. “She’s a lot more traditional than I am and sleeping in the same bed as a woman I’m not seeing is…
“Against her Catholic beliefs?”
Sonny scoffed, “You have no idea.”
“Well I’m not gonna tell her,” You said, climbing into the bed and resting on your knees. “And I know you’re definitely not gonna tell her, so why not? We’re both adults. We’re perfectly capable of sleeping in the same bed together if it means we both actually get a few decent hours of sleep.”
“I mean… I guess,” Sonny said hesitantly, scratching at the back of his head as he sat up, ignoring the way his stomach fluttered terribly at the thought of finally getting to sleep beside you. He stood up, his heart warming at the unintentionally sweet smile you gave him as he crossed the room towards you in a few long strides. He pulled back the other side of the covers, waiting until you’d settled yourself before he made his move to climb in beside you, where he immediately joked, “You better keep your hands to yourself otherwise I’m arresting you.”
You chucked softly, “I think I can manage that.”
Sonny couldn’t help the smile that crossed his face as he fell deeper into the sheets that covered you both. He already felt about a hundred times comfier than he had been on the couch, exactly like you’d guessed he would be now that he could stretch out fully. Even despite the poor quality of mattress the two of you lay side-by-side atop, the middle of which was completely free of space with the way you both hugged the edge of it, as though you were afraid to so much as brush fingers given the unspoken feelings you both had for one another.
It wasn’t that you were purposely keeping them to yourselves for the sake of misery, it was more of a… Neither of you fully realised that the other one felt the same. Everyone else did, though, it wasn’t hard to. You were both practically a couple already despite your hesitance to share a motel room, yet the two of you were simply too blind to see it. But that didn’t mean you both couldn’t feel it. It was so thick in the air around you that it would be impossible not to, but whether or not you both truly picked up on it whilst conscious was the the sixty-four million dollar question.
Subconsciously, however, well… That was a completely different story and not at all a surprising one.
You didn’t realise it until you woke up about four hours later, but you had drifted dangerously close to Sonny in your sleep. Or he’d drifted closer to you. Maybe even both. You weren’t overly sure who was at fault here. All you knew was that you were both now smack bang in the middle of the bed, your legs somehow tangled together and Sonny’s long arm draped loosely over your body. Even your head was resting on his chest, feeling as it gently rose and fell beneath you with each quiet, slumber-ridden breath he took.
You felt your cheeks heat up the split second you realised what — who — your pillow was. You had no idea how you’d even managed to grow so close to him. You were normally a pretty still sleeper so to find yourself so far from where you’d started was honestly somewhat of a shock to you. All you really knew was that you needed to move before Sonny woke up and found you like this, otherwise you’d never live down the embarrassment you’d get over him realising that you’d all but used him as a teddy bear.
“What’s going on?” Sonny mumbled, his sudden, sleepy voice making you freeze in your attempts at untangling yourself from his long and lanky limbs. He cracked open one eye, glancing down at you with such a softness that you almost melted against him, a wave of…God, literally everything you could feel at once washing over you at being caught in this position. “You tryna escape me, darlin’?”
Darlin’. Fuck, if you hadn’t been melting already, you certainly would be now.
“I don’t know how I ended up so close to you, I’m sorry,” You mumbled almost frantically, attempting to pull yourself away from him only for Sonny to tighten his arms around you.
“Don’t go anywhere,” He whispered, seemingly wide awake now as he raised his hand, drawing his knuckles lightly down the side of your face. “Stay with me.”
“Sonny, I don’t…”
“Stay,” His thumb landed on your lips and you fell silent, his eyes gazing into yours in a way that gave you such intense butterflies. “Please.”
All you could in response was nod your head and smile as you didn’t trust your own voice not to give you away, especially with the thick lump that was currently trying to force itself up your throat and escape out into the air. Sonny’s own lips curled up softly as he easily tugged you closer to him, feeling as your arm tightened across his chest and you positioned your head beneath his chin. He tilted his own down to glance at you, nothing but the top of your head visible to his tired eyes and even in that moment…
Even with him being half asleep and out of his mind, just having you this close to him without him even having to try hard to get you there, was like his entire heart had exploded in his chest. He smiled again, leaning down and without taking so much as a single second to think about it, he placed a soft kiss to the top of your head and whispered,
“Perhaps one bed isn’t so bad, after all.”

“I like you so much, I wish you were more than just my intern.”
“Well, those arrangements can be made.”
You enjoyed being a detective, but you wanted more. You followed in Sonny’s footsteps for as long as you could imagine and now it was your time to shine. You and Sonny had been partners for about 4 years when he announced he was applying to law school. You were there for Sonny when he got his acceptance letter, and when he had mentioned before his acceptance that he was applying to Fordham night school to become an ADA, it had become a surprise to you because you were actually looking at that school, among many others in the area. A few years after Sonny finished law school, you got one of the best news of your life.
“Sonny, you need to come over ASAP.” You said over the phone.
“Why, are you okay?”
“I just have something here that I’d like you to witness.”
“Okay, I’ll be there in 20.”
When Sonny came over, the both of you curled up on your living room couch staring at your laptop.
“I got an email from Fordham.”
The clock ticked slow from the time you opened up the email to the time you clicked on the link to log into the portal.
“Is that what I think that is?” Sonny said.
After you logged in there was another thing you had to click on in order for you to see your application status. Then, a whole bunch of confetti popped up on your screen.
“OH MY GOSH I GOT IN!” You screamed.
You and Sonny screamed and laughed for a few moments, living in the moment. You got accepted into law school!
“I’m so proud of you Y/N. You deserve it.” Sonny said, pulling you into a hug.
“Aww thank you.” You beamed. “And look at you, thriving as an ADA already. If anything I’m proud of you!”
Sonny also had a wide smile on his face. “It’s no easy thing, so thank you. These accomplishments deserve a little celebration, dont’cha think?”
“Oh yea,” You agreed.
And with that, your life changed.
•••
Fast forward a few months, you went through orientation and all those get to know you stuff and you were now taking your official classes. Sonny on the other hand was doing great as an ADA and you were extremely happy for him. Juggling law school and working as a detective, not to mention you got promoted, was something you were learning to handle one day at a time. You didn’t know how Sonny did it.
Throughout the semester, Sonny occasionally popped by to check on and see how everything was going, and he even helped you with some of the classes that he previously took. When you had your spare time on the job you went to visit Sonny to see how he was handling Hadid and the cases he had to work with. On the days he had to work late to prep for trial, you were reluctant to leave him, you were curious about this aspect of being an ADA. He gave you advice and other words of wisdom that you kept with you throughout your time in law school.
A year and a half passed by and Sonny was taking off with his career and you were still in school, doing everything you could to get high grades in your classes. On top of that, dealing with all the changes Manhattan SVU was going through was taking a toll as well. It was about that time for you to start gaining experience. Sonny let you sit in cases, live cases, in the courtroom, as you took notes on his techniques, just as he did when he learned from Rafael.
“You know, you might as well be an ADA now with all these cases you’ve sat in with me.”
“Not yet, Counselor. Give it about two more years. For now, I’ll be your little intern.”
That brought a smile to Sonny’s face. “Intern, huh?”
“Yeah.”
“If you’re serious about it, I can make arrangements with the DA… it can be your part time.”
Your eyes widened. “Sonny…”
“I know, I know. You don’t have to act on it right away, I just want the best for you. I didn’t get the chance to do this, but I want you to have it.”
You didn’t know what to say, so you hugged Sonny.
“Thank you. Seriously, for everything.”
“Of course. Anything for my partner.”
•••
After many conversations with the DA’s office, the bureau chief, and even Benson, you got your official position as ADA Sonny Carisi’s intern. Part time internship kind of situation. It was needed as one of the requirements for one of the classes you were taking so it fit.
Your days consisted of looking over some of the cases Sonny had on his docket, taking notes for your own practice, as well as observing during cases. You did get paired with other ADA’s on the eighth floor, but you always drew yourself towards Sonny.
•••
One night, you were in Sonny’s office looking over a case with him when he decided it was best for the both of you to have a nightcap.
“Hey, you’ve been taking notes on that case file for a while. Unwind with me.”
You looked up and saw Sonny pull out a bottle of wine and glass cups. You watched him pop the bottle open and pour the red liquid in both of the cups. He handed one of them to you, hoping you would accept it. You sighed, plopping the case file on the table. Taking the glass with a smile on your face, you followed Sonny to the couch he had in his office.
“You know, I don’t think I ever told you this, but it’s beautiful how dedicated you are to becoming an ADA.”
“Aww, you think so?”
“Yes.”
“I appreciate it a lot. I think a part of it was also your doing. You inspired me to go further in my career. Further helping victims of all walks of life that don’t have a voice of their own, victims that want to be free from the shackles of their toxic situations, victims that are tired of their bodies being used forcefully for sexual desires.”
“Maybe I did inspire you. You’ve really been a great advocate for everyone that walked through those precinct doors and it shows.”
“Cheers to that.” You smiled, raising your glass.
Sonny clinked his glass with yours and smiled. “Cheers.”
“I’m glad you’re my intern.”
You raised an eyebrow, setting your glass down. “Oh?”
“Yeah. I get to spend more time with you, for starters.”
“Mmm, yeah, I miss you at SVU sometimes. It’s not the same without you.”
Sonny nodded. “I get that.”
There was a moment of silence between the two of you, just completely comfortable silence and long looks.
“I like you so much, I wish you were more than just my intern.” Sonny admitted to break the silence.
You were startled at first, but then a smile crept on your face as soon as you knew what he meant.
“Well, those arrangements can be made.” You whispered. You took one more sip of your wine and scooted closer to Sonny.
“Oh yea?” He said in a hushed tone, moving closer to you as well. At this point, the both of your thighs were touching each other. You felt a major spark between you and him. You were feeling a certain type of way and it wasn’t from the alcohol.
“Yea.” You whispered.
Sonny gently took your face in his hand and kissed you.
After the kiss, the both of you were smiling, holding each other’s faces in hands and touching foreheads.
“I want more,” you said. “That was beautiful.”
“Beautiful indeed, my little intern.”

I Hate You
Nick Amaro x Reader Oneshot
WC: 1091
A/N: Self Indulge fic. I like winter but damn it’s cold this year! The snow and chemicals are leaving me a mess and my floors a mess and I’d rather not deal with it at all. Only thing to make it better would be Nick. Enjoy! Please let me know what you think with likes/comments/reblogs whatever.
It was another blustery and frigid cold day in NYC as you stepped out of your building only to be met with a large puddle of melted snow so deep it got into your ankle boot soaking your socks and growl in frustration.
“Son of a bitch.” You continued to grumble.
You had grown tired of the New York winters long ago after Nick had moved off to California leaving you both in a long distance relationship but you without someone to share the house with, share a romantic stroll in Central Park through the snow with, or a cuddle on the sofa with. Now it’s just dull, grey, and incredibly cold…and currently very wet and annoying.
Looking to your watch you didn’t even have time to go back upstairs to change your sock and shoes or you’d be late for work.
Olivia had called and told you to be at the prescient promptly at eight so there was no time to hesitate.
Heading off you walked on, your boot sloshing and freezing before someone drove too close to the curb in the drain and splashed a mix of chemicals and slushy snow all over you taking your breath away at the blast of cold.
“F-fu-fuck.” You stuttered and gasped before turning and flipping your middle finger at the driver.
Finally arriving at the prescient, soaked, frozen and a sloshing boot, you put your case down at your desk with a huff and yanked off your scarf and jacket before spying Olivia coming over.
“You’re two minutes late.” She teased, not that she cared about two minutes.
“I had some trouble, okay?” You replied sharply, not really meaning to but you were throughly annoyed.
“Woah…alright. I can take a hint. I just thought you’d like to know we caught your perp you’ve been chasing. He’s in two.” Olivia tilted her head towards the room.
“Thanks Liv.” You said with an apologetic tone before rushing off towards the interrogation room not even bothering to take care of your boot or anything yet.
Opening the door you quickly walked in.
“Couldn’t hide forever…” you started before you looked up and straight to Nick’s hazelnut eyes. “N-Nick…”
“You’re right, I couldn’t stay hidden forever.” He flashed his famous smirk before opening his arms and you began to tear up coming to him, flinging yourself into his chest and burying your face into his neck taking a deep shuttering breath.
“I h-hate you.” You mumbled as tears dropped to his shoulder and he chuckled.
“What? Hey…hey what did I do? Hermosa why do you hate me and why are you crying huh?” He pulled you back just enough to cup your face gently in your hands, glancing over your face with concern.
“Because here you are…sun kissed skin, glowing even more than usual and you get to go home to Southern California while I get to stay here in crumby freaking New York City with forty more years of winter.” You took a deep breath and gathered yourself.
Nick laughed before leaning in and capturing your lips in a tender kiss. “I missed you…I actually came here to spend the week with you but I have a better idea.” You furrowed your brows wondering just what your boyfriend could be up to.
“You’re soaked mi amor.” He purred as he got a look at you. “Come on, you’re going home and changing then we’re going to cuddle and get you thawed out.” He flashed his knee weakening smile.
Later after arriving back at your place you had curled up with Nick and some cocoa under a cozy blanket.
“So I wanted to ask you something baby.” Nick asked softly breaking the comfortable silence.
“Yeah? You didn’t come across the country to sit with me under a blanket did you?” You hummed cuddling into his side feeling his lips press a kiss to your head.
“Mm no, not exactly but it’s a nice benefit. I get to warm my baby up.” He hummed wrapping his arm around you bringing you closer if it were possible. “I came to ask if you’d consider moving in with me.” He asked hesitantly, worried he’d be rejected. It wasn’t often something worked out for Nick Amaro and he had hoped after three years together and a year of long distance that this relationship worked out, that you’d live with him, move across the country with him.
You turned sat up a bit, looking to him, eyes searching his for any hint that he could be joking but found none. “Y-you’re….you're serious?”
“I…I mean…well yeah I was hoping so.” He said with a little waver in his voice worried he pressed too fast. “You hate winter. I miss you so much. Like really miss you. I want you to be with me and the kids. They miss you too. There’s nothing like having you in bed beside me every night and waking up with you in the morning. The sun shining on your hair and how cute you look with your mouth open and a little bit of drool.” He chuckled when you shoved him.
“I don’t drool, Amaro!” You shot back.
“You do! I can’t help it. I wipe it off with my thumb and you mumble before snuggling to my chest. It’s the most precious thing.” He laughed but looked over you with the most loving tender smile. “Amor…hermosa, I miss you so fucking much. Please? Will you come to California with me?”
You never thought about leaving NYC for real, but the opportunity never had presented itself, well never a real opportunity. It wasn’t an opportunity for Nick to come back to live here, his family and career had him there now and he loved it but the only piece missing was you. He just needed you.
You hated winter, if you wanted to see snow it wasn’t that far to go and see it to play for a day or two and ski but you wouldn’t have to deal with it daily, endlessly.
“Yes. Yes I’d love to. There’s nothing else I’d love to do more.” You cuddled back to Nick but kissed him deeply as he held your face and kept his forehead close.
“I love you so much. I can’t wait to have you with me daily again. To start our lives together in a whole new chapter.” He smirked against your lips knowing he had an even bigger question in store for you once you had moved in and settled in California with him.

I’m here for you

Joe Velasco X Reader
A/N: I hope everyone enjoys this !! If you like my work please comment like and reblog it means a lot to see interactions on my work.
Y/N POV
Me and Joe had this will they wont they thing going on for a while now. You felt like the vibes were there but it was hard because he was a quiet guy.
You also were a little reserved so no one had the guts to talk to each other. But slowly by surely the two of you opened up to each other. Talking and texting every chance you got.
It had only been a couple of months and you were head over heels in love.
Lately thought he had gone through a rough patch and you were trying to be there for him without stepping on toes.
Olivia our captain was against me even talking to him. Which i personally didn’t understand.
I Mean I know what he was accused of but i think we all deserve the benefit of the doubt.
I mean just become someone decided to secretly record an interview we should all turn on him. I feel like he deserved to tell his side of the story.
I let everyone in the unit how I was feeling about the situation which was causing a lot of heat in the unit.
“Y/N what did I tell you about staying away” Captain Benson asked.
“All i did was text him to make sure he was doing that’s all” I said
“You disobeyed my orders i told you flat out no communication” She said
“I didn’t ask about the case or anything he’s my friend I ‘m not going to turn my back on him especially when he needs people now” I said in a defensive manner.
Cap just looked at me and I could tell she was trying to find the right next words to say to me.
“Listen to me I am saying this because you are a great detective and you have a great career ahead of you and you need to stay focused okay” She told me
The words she said to me kind of irritated me a little bit but i kept my composer and bit my tongue. I didn’t want to start a fight and cause more tension.
“I understand cap” was all you could muster out at the moment.
“Your dismissed the days over just go home and get some rest and think about what I said.” She said.
“Yes Ma’am thank you” I said
She put her glasses on and started pulling some papers out of her giant stack she had and started focusing on them.
Finn and Amanda both looked at me with worried look on their faces. I think when I walked out I looked a little mad and upset.
“You know she’s right you just gotta focus on you at the moment” Amanda said
Something in you broke a little and what ever you had been pushing down had worked it way up.
Because you looked over at them sitting in their desk and then spoke out
“I find that a bit ironic considering your history of dating you and Nick Aamaro and then getting pregnant by Lt Murphy who you were under by the way. Me and Velscao are friends and im finding it pretty messed up that were just supposed to turn our back on a friend” You snapped.
Finn looked surprised as hell and Amanda was taken back and not sure on what to say next. Which you didn’t even bother giving her the chance.
You quickly gathered your stuff and then headed out. In the background you heard Finn say
“Just let go and let’s go home” He said
You walked out the squad room and headed downstairs. You were to worked up to even wait for the elevator.
You ran down the stairs and then headed out the front door. The fresh air hitting you in the face made you instantly feel a little better. You just headed to the car and threw your stuff in.
You didn’t even think about going home you just began driving. You tried to clear your head to make you feel a little better. ]
Your stomach started growling and you decided to stop for some dinner. There was a local diner that Joe introduced you to.
You pulled up and got out and walked in . It was pretty quiet and you were thankful for not having to deal with people.
You sat in the booth you and Joe always sat in. You were looking at the menu but not really even paying attention.
You tried to push back frustration tears from everything going on. Suddenly a man wearing a hoodie sat across from you which scared the crap out of you
“Omg what the hell” You asked
You heard a familiar laugh and then calmed down immediately when you realized who it was.
“Joe what the hell are you doing here” You asked
You looked up at him he gave you a sad look.
“I guess i just wanted to see you”  He said
“Yeah me to but how did you know I was here” You asked
“Because I know you I figured you were just getting off of work and was probably hungry so you came here and sat in our booth” Joe said
You blushed and smiled at him knowing you so well. Or were you that predictable you thought
“How are you with everything” You asked
“It’s been hard you know having to turn on Chilli and not also you know” Joe said
“ you know what” You asked
“Not being able to talk to you. You have no idea how long I have been wanting to talk to you and see you it killed me” Joe said
“It’s not fair that Cap thinks she can just dictate our personal lives you know I missed you to a lot I have been wanting to see you It killed me too not beng able to see you” You told him.
“I don’t want to bring you down with me” Joe said
“You wouldn’t do that I’m here for everything the good and the bad” You said grabbing his hand.
He took your hand and looked up at you and smiled and gave your hand a squeeze.
“I’m here for you always” you said to him
“I know and that’s the problem he said
Your face kind of dropped and it was hard not to feel hurt.
Joe noticed your face and took his other hand and grabbed your free one and squeezed both of them together.
“It’s not like that i don’t wanna drag you down with me I love you to much” He said
You gave him a surprised look followed by a smile
“You love me” You questioned
He laughed a little bit.
“I’m being serious” you said pouting
“I know me to I’m trying to tell you I love you. Like more than friends you know and I don’t wanna be the reason your career goes up in flames” He said
“Listen here Joe Velscao” you said
“Oh my whole government name it’s serious” Joe said smiling
“Shut the hell up and listen I love you so much and you are the best part of me and I am a better person and detective because of you know and I know it’s only been a couple of month but when you know you know and I just know” You said rambling towards the end.
Joe leaped towards you and kissed you hard. You kissed him back and you were both smiling in each other’s faces.
The kiss broke and he sat down.
“Listen Y/N i love you so much and like you said when you know you know and I do feel that way about you which is why I wanna protect you” Joe said
“I’m here i’m a big girl we are going to figure this out together but you gotta tell me the truth that stuff you said in the tapes was it true” You asked
“Yeah it is but to a point i’m clean I never touched drugs ever but with the dad and son Chilli covered my ass and I owe that to him to help and try and cover his” Joe said
“I know you feel like that but you also know what ever is going on in the past you gotta close the wound and it should be on your time not anyones else’s okay but you know what the right thing to do is” You said
“I know I know your right and i know what i gotta do i just don’t the accusations and the rush to judgement” Joe said
“I get that and I agree that’s not fair to you and you shouldn’t have to prove who you are after all the hard work you been doing. But this is where we are so you need to go and sit down and talk to Oliva and be honest with everything and let the cards fall where they do” You said
“Yeah you're probably right and I know it’s just hard actually doing it” Joe said
“I will go in with you tomorrow okay i got you. You won’t go in there alone.” You said
“Thank you” Joe said squeezing my hand
“Now let’s eat I’m hungry that’s the whole reason why i’m here” You said laughing
“Yes Ma’am” Joe said
The waitress came back over and the two of you ordered. Of course she knew what you were getting because it was the same old thing.
“So uh after this little confession is this considered a date” You asked
Joe’s face lit up red and he looked up at you and smiled.
“Nah trust me you deserve a much better place than this for our first official date” He said
“Oh you don’t know what you just walked yourself into. Because i am going to take you to the most expensive restaurant i can in New York” You said laughing
“Oh you the person who orders the most basic food ever you wouldn’t even eat the nice food so good luck with that” Joe said laughing
“Don’t worry about me” You said smirking.
You both couldn’t contain your laughter of that. Joe really loosened up and relaxed and you both dropped the work conversation after that. T
alking about everything from your favorite shows you would watch together.
The food came out just a little bit later and you both shoved your faces with food. It was either really good or you were really hungry.
The rest of the night you both laughed and talked. You also couldn’t help but wonder how Liv was going to take you defying her orders but that didn’t matter right now.
Because there is no one else you would rather be with than Joe. Nothing could keep the two of you apart from each other.
No matter what happed the two of you would always be there for each other

Trapped together (Part 1)
I haven’t written anything in over a year, but apparently this is the time of year I get inspired! However, one of my 2023 goals is to finally write out some of the ideas I’ve had for a while. I will continue to post very sporadically, but please let me know if you would like to be tagged when I do (I believe @plaidbooks asked to be tagged on a past post).
This fic fills the Blizzard square for StoriesofSvu’s 2022 Holiday Bingo @storiesofsvu . It’s my first 2-part fic, and I hope to have the finale uploaded in 1-2 days.
Pairing: Mike Dodds x Reader
Trigger warnings for a brief mention of serial killer in the “set-up” to the story (skip the 1st paragraph if you’d like to avoid it!)
************
It had been a busy two weeks of intense investigation by the Manhattan SVU squad on the hunt of what your team now believed to be a prolific serial killer who traced victims new to the city back to their rural hometowns to attack someone in their families. Today, you and Sergeant Dodds had needed to travel through a West Virginia mountain pass following a lead based on a victim who had run away from her small West Virginia community. Her cousin had suffered a mysterious hunting accident only 5 days after her death in the city.
However, when leaving the small county morgue, the local Sheriff informed you and Sergeant Dodds of an impending blizzard and that the mountain pass was unsafe to travel through and would only get worse throughout the night. You both tried to explain you were used to driving in New York winters, but he convinced you both that it wasn’t worth the risk. Instead, the Sheriff directed you to the only motel in a two hour radius where you and Dodds would have to wait out the storm until the roads cleared enough to return to NYC.
It was a small, desolate, dingy highway motel that looked like it usually saw its own clientele of shady individuals. The owner directed you and the Sarg to the only room left that held one queen-sized bed. Everyone who had been traveling through the area had descended upon the hotel in an effort to ride out the storm, and the owner told you both how lucky you were to arrive in time to get the last room.
You and Dodds shared a look. It was one of discomfort and hesitation. There may have also been some mortification on your part with some added on bubble-guts related to your secret penchant for reading “there was only one bed” romance books. There was no way that situation was actually happening to you in your actual real life. With Mike Dodds. The most beautiful man you had ever seen. Also the nicest.
“Are you absolutely certain there are no other rooms?” asked Dodds. The motel owner again confirmed that there was the one queen bed which we could take or leave. “What about any roll-away cots?”
The hotel owner let out the phlegmatic laugh of a 30-pack year smoker. “Where do you think you are, son? This ain’t no fancy place, which is clearer than day to anyone who ain’t blind. Ain’t you some detective? Sheriff Lonnie called ahead and near ordered me to hold the room for you two.”
You stepped in before your sergeant risked offending the only person standing between an unlucky situation and a worse situation. “Then could we at least get some extra towels and blankets, please? As many extra blankets as you have,” you asserted, with your hand on your gun hip to get the point across. You didn’t trust the ancient-looking powerlines outside to be capable of keeping even the small hotel warm and lit. The owner came back a few minutes later, shoved a stack of towels and blankets into your arms, and shut the door behind him.
You turned around and found Dodds with his hand on his head, clearly thinking hard about something. You watched him for a moment before he noticed you watching. Then, with resolution, he grabbed a blanket from the pile and grabbed a pillow off the bed and headed towards the door.
“What are you doing, Sergeant?”
“I’m going to sleep in the car tonight.”
“Are you insane?” you spluttered.
“I’ve slept in worse places than a car.”
“During an Appalachian mountain blizzard? Do you have any idea how cold it’s about to get outside? People die in these kind of conditions, Sergeant.”
“I’ll keep the engine running.”
“The gas won’t last that long and I doubt the car battery will be able to make it through the storm, either, without dying or the engine line freezing.” You knew nothing about cars, but that sounded right.
He leaned with his head against the door and mumbled something you couldn’t understand.
“Pardon?”
With a big sigh he turned around, “I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
“I’m not uncomfortable.” This was all uncomfortable, of course you were uncomfortable. “Are you uncomfortable, Sergeant?”
He hesitated, “a little.”
“Would you be uncomfortable if it was Carisi here with you instead?”
He barked out a laugh and ran his hand through his hair. “I would be, although I’m not sure if I’d be more or less so.”
“I personally think I’d be more uncomfortable with Carisi. He strikes me as the type of sleepover guest who keeps everyone else up all night talking then drools all over your mom’s guest pillows.” You both laughed uncomfortably before you continued, “We’ve had too long of a day for worrying about making one another uncomfortable after an already long week trying to find our perp and getting an idea of the extent of how many victims he even has. I’m tired and we’re both grown. We’ve worked together long enough that we can sleep in the same room without it being weird, can’t we?”
“You’re right, I’m sorry. I didn’t want to make things even more uncomfortable. I just want you to know I respect you and your comfort.” Your heart did a weird somersault before he continued, “and your role as one of my detectives.” Oh. Right. You were going to have to remind yourself to be professional. It’s not like you had the biggest crush of your life on your own Sergeant. That would be career suicide and a recipe for an embarrassing situation that you didn’t have the social grace to handle.
“Of course I know that, that would never be in question, Sir.” There. See? Super professional. Professional was your middle name. “Now, I’m going to try to shower the morgue germs off.”
You carried all of the towels into the bathroom with you. You closed the door behind you and made a face in the mirror after catching a whiff of the moldy air. This was the grossest motel you had ever been in. It had probably been built in the 60s and seemed to have the original brown and mustard carpet, curtains, bedding, possibly even the same towels. You weren’t sure if you wanted to inspect the bed to rule-out bedbugs or if you were afraid to look. It’s not like you could do anything about it.
With a sigh you started shrugging out of your suit. When you were stripped down to your undies, you made a decision. You filled the sink with soapy water and scrubbed your undergarments. Then you took the time to stand with the mini hairdryer attached to the wall to dry them off. You could put up with a lot of things, roach motel included, but you weren’t going to sleep in anything less than fresh drawers. Then you took a quick hot shower and scrubbed yourself dry with a scratchy towel before staring at yourself in the mirror and thinking about the sleeping arrangements.
You really didn’t want to sleep in your suit pants after traipsing through the rural crime scene and a morgue, but you also didn’t want to make your already uncomfortable boss more uncomfortable. You were very grateful that you threw on a t-shirt under your blouse that morning. Still, it barely reached the top of your thighs and your lacey underwear were quite visible. You left the t-shirt on, wrapped a towel around your waist for the walk to the bed, and stepped outside of the now-steamy bathroom and walked, with pretend confidence, towards the bed.
With your head held high and eyes aimed on your destination you strode further into the room…and tripped right over your sergeant who was laying on the floor. You caught yourself after falling on your knees and looked behind you with a look of exasperation.
“WHAT are you doing?” you yelled at the same time apologies were spilling out of his mouth and he was trying to help you up. At some point the towel had fallen off from around your waist so you jumped up the distance between the floor and the bed and quickly pulled the covers over you.
“I’m so sorry, I was trying to find the cleanest part of the carpet to sleep on. I assumed you would see me?”
“No I didn’t see you Sergeant, why would I expect to see you on the floor? Why are you on that disgusting floor? Do you know what kind of things get trapped in a 60 year old rundown motel carpet? Please get up!”
“I thought it would be better if I slept on the floor. I told you I’ve slept in worse places,” he smiled sheepishly and made no move to get up from the floor.
“Sergeant, am I more repugnant than that filthy floor?”
His eyes grew wide as saucers, “Y/N, no!! Of course not! How could you think that?”
“I think that because you continue to sit on the floor.”
He stood up and looked lost. “I….where am I supposed to sleep if not in the car and not on the floor?”
You stared in confusion at his confusion. “Sergeant, in the bed. Next to me. Surely that’s better than a car in a blizzard or a motel room floor?” He turned red from his neck to the tips of his ears. He seemed at a loss for words.
“If it would make you more comfortable, we can pile a bunch of these extra pillows and towels in between our sleeping bodies. You know, so that I do not mistakenly accost you in the night.”
“I never! I never thought…” he stammered.
“Of course not. I’m teasing you, mostly, but I certainly don’t expect you to sleep on the floor and considering where we are I would prefer you did not.” You piled up two extra blankets lengthwise in the middle of the bed. When he remained standing where he was, you shrugged, laid down, and turned over on your side. You really were tired and this was a mentally exhausting case. You didn’t have the energy to spend anymore time coaxing your sergeant into a somewhat comfortable sleeping arrangement nor to convince him that you could both behave like adults. You heard him shuffle into the bathroom and you heard the water start. You pulled the blankets tighter around you. The wind howled outside and despite the old heating system being turned up to its highest number, the room felt very cold. You pulled your knees up to your chest hoping to conserve heat.
You must have been close to dozing off because what felt like only a few minutes later you felt the far side of the bed dip and heard the lamp click off. The bed moved a little as Dodds tried to get comfortable. You weren’t sure if you should say goodnight or continue looking like you were asleep, so you decided to stay as you were. Part of your decision came from the fact that you were so cold, you couldn’t bare the thought of uncoiling from your fetal position. As you started feeling heavier with sleep, you wondered if you had been shivering because you felt another blanket being placed over you. A hand very lightly squeezed your shoulder as you heard a whispered “Goodnight, Detective” before falling fully into sleep.

New Oneshot
Oh, what to do when the muse won't leave you alone and keeps nagging you with ideas when you're supposed to be writing other things? In this instance, I gave in to the madness. That was how this one shot came to be. Of course, it's me, so it is also like 9K+ in word length, so if that isn't your cup of tea, I completely understand. But if you *are* interested, and would like a Christmastime EO story about EO that is set in a post-Ohio finale world, I'd love to know what you think. You can find it at either link below, whichever site is your preferred platform.

Next one for rabbit hole? Oooo it's just so good and then.. the dreaded cliffhanger uggghhhhhhh
Tumblr media
ᕚ---ᕘ
The cool, sterile atmosphere of the hospital room seemed to oppress you. You lay still and motionless on the hospital bed while the monitor next to you beeped in a monotonous rhythm. Outside the window, the faint light of dawn illuminates the room, the muffled sound of city life filtering through the thin walls, giving you a feeling of oppression.
You had been here for days, surrounded by the strange noises and emotionless looks of the medical staff. But you couldn't stay. No longer. The last few days had trapped you like a nightmare - an endless cycle of pain, sadness and the constant fear of the unknown. Your body ached from the injuries, but it wasn't just the physical pain that tormented you. It was the unrelenting fear. This whirlwind of thoughts had been plaguing you ever since you were admitted and was growing inexorably within you.
It wasn't the fear of the possible consequences of the injuries, but the fear of your own ex-husband. The memories of the stabbings, the tantrums, and the danger to your life echoed in your head. You knew you weren't safe while he was on the loose. You knew you couldn't stay safe forever, even behind the walls of the hospital.
The idea that he had learned that you were still alive and lurking out there, looking for you to end the cruel game of your life, almost drove you crazy and the thought that he might even hurt Olivia, gave you no peace. You had no choice - you had to escape before it was too late.
You stared at the ceiling, fighting the rising panic. The thoughts of the past and the terrible moments in your own home threatened to overwhelm you. Yet amidst this darkness, a spark of determination flickered in your eyes.
With your ears listening to make sure no one made a move towards your room, you put your plan into action. It was a risky move, but you couldn't lie still and wait for someone else to protect you any longer. Olivia protecting you. With a surge of courage, you sat up and slid out of bed. The hospital clothes you were wearing felt unfamiliar and foreign. Your hands reached for the drip attached to your arm and carefully pulled the needle out, ignoring the pain that shot through your arm as you squeezed yourself into a pair of sweatpants and a long-sleeved shirt, ignoring your aching limbs.
The rush of adrenaline in your ears seemed louder than ever before, and you tried to be as quiet as possible. As if the slightest sound would alert your ex-husband and lead him straight to you.
You knew you didn't have the doctors' permission to leave the hospital, but you couldn't stay here. Not while your life was in danger so with one last check around the room and the most important things packed in the gym bag, you opened the door and stepped out into the hallway.
The corridor was silent, the only sounds being the low hum of the lights above you and the muffled murmurs of the nurses talking somewhere in the distance. You pressed your lips together, every step was torture, but you forced yourself to keep going. You had to escape, no matter the cost. You felt a stab of fear with every movement, but also a touch of freedom. You had to act now before it was too late for you.
Your heart pounded in your chest as you considered each step. You had to be careful, you had to make sure no one saw you. Because if your ex-husband found out you were still alive, he would find you. And this time he would make sure you didn't survive. Escaping through the endless hallways felt like an eternity, but you finally reached the door that led outside. You took a deep breath, gathering all your courage before the doors opened in front of you and you stepped out. The cold enveloped you like a cloak, and for a moment you felt free - free from the chains of the past, free from the fear that had held you captive for so long.
But the freedom was short-lived. You knew that Henry was still out there, lurking somewhere in the shadows, ready to continue his dangerous game. You had to go into hiding, disappear somewhere where he couldn't find you. At least until you had the strength to face him and take him down. But you didn't know where to go, only that you had to get away from here. Away from this place that threatened your life; here he already knew where you worked, where you lived and who was around you that he could possibly manipulate. Or injure, as the case may be. Your steps quickened, your breath ragged as you limped through the crowded streets, not looking back.
Meanwhile, Olivia Benson was just dismissing herself for her lunch break. Her mind wandered to the unsolved case of your ex-husband when she decided to visit you in the hospital and have lunch with you.
She got out of her company car and looked at the hospital building in front of her. She had worked all night and all morning to catch the bastard who had critically injured you without any further whereabouts information from him. Regardless, she was looking forward to seeing you again. It was important for her to support you, especially after what had happened to you. She was wracked with guilt that she hadn't protected you well enough.
She entered the building with quick steps and made her way to your room. But when she reached the door, she noticed that it was half open. Confused, she pushed it further open and entered the room, the worst thoughts circling in her head.
Emptiness.
The bed was messy, as if you had just laid there recently. But there was no sign of you, the room was deserted. An icy shiver ran down Olivia's spine and a hint of panic rose in her as she realized that the tubes and cables that had only recently been attached to your body were now scattered uselessly on the bed.
Rushing to the nurses to ask for information, they too couldn't give her an answer as to where you were. All they could tell her was that you had not received any discharge papers from the hospital, that your stay was extended until the inflamed surgical scar had healed. Olivia had no way of knowing that you were already on the run, from a shadow from your past that still seemed to haunt you.
With a quick movement of her hand, she reached for her cell phone to dial the number of her colleague, one of her best friends, who had already given her decisive support in the past and offered a saving hand when you needed to be save. Their connection went far beyond the confines of the workplace, and in that moment, she knew instinctively that he was the one she could always rely on. Especially since you also played a crucial role in his life.
"Elliot, it's me. I need your help. Y/n is gone, possibly on the run, and probably in potential danger.“

the-quiet-winds writing masterpost!
[a complete list of my published works.]
last updated: 10/20/24
Six the Musical (what I am definitely most known for)
The Gravity of Tempered Grace - [x]
None of them came back exactly the same - Catherine of Aragon is several inches taller and several shades darker, Catherine Parr loves her new hair, Anne Boleyn can frequently be found complaining about her height (or lack-there-of), Katherine Howard has a thing for pink hair, and Anna of Cleves walks with a swagger she didn’t carry in the first life.  (Well, more swagger.) But for the most part, no intrinsic or core part of their beings changed. Except for Jane Seymour. Jane Seymour, as the other queens were beginning to discover, is something of an enigma.
I'll Know My Name as It's Called Again - [x]
A day in the life of the one who calls herself Catherine Parr.
Light Everything Inside of You - [x]
Catherine Parr is perceptive. Sometimes, a little too perceptive for Jane Seymour's comfort.
Hyde Awey - [x]
“Maybe if you weren’t such a conniving little witch, none of this would have happened!”
Catherine blows up. Things only get worse from there.
My Six-specific writing masterpost - [x]
This tumblr post contains 100+ Six oneshots and multi-chaps. Perfect for Six fans old and new.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Encanto (2021)
Caught in the Tide of Blossoms - [x]
Mirabel allows her eyes to close and the sun to warm her face. “Mirabel?” A man’s voice is calling her name. It isn’t one that she recognizes, so she sits up quickly and glances around. “Mirabel, is that you?”
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Brooklyn Nine-Nine
Between the Heavens and the Embers - [x]
It took Kevin Cozner a long time to see the squad as his husband's - and later his own - family.
But now more than ever, he is grateful to have this strange little group of people at his side.
Or, rather, in his bedroom.
(For Andre Braugher)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Enchanted (2007) / Disenchanted (2022)
All These Broke Hearts (Mine's the One Bleeding) - [x]
Morgan Philip did not need a mother, thank you very much.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Worst Witch (2017)
Make it to the Dawn - [x]
Julie, who has finally managed to catch her breath, sees red. “Oi, what is wrong with this place? First you lot send her to that horrid Wormwood’s, now you let her be taken by some evil witch?! Some school this is!”
Normally, Hecate would be the first to defend Cackle’s against slander. But she knows, deep down, Julie has a point. More than a point - Julie is right.
A slightly darker take on the series finale - and its aftermath.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Law & Order: Special Victims Unit
If This is to End in Fire - [x]
There are two lessons that one learns when working in the Special Victims Unit. Lesson One: No one can handle the children. Lesson Two: The deeper you get involved in a case, the more you have to lose.
Assistant District Attorney Casey Novak learned lesson one during her very first case.
Lesson two comes at a much higher cost.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Once Upon a Time
Death in a Tarot Card - [x]
Mayor Mills never did take too kindly to outsiders, Mary Margaret learned.

“how did you get this scar?” for joe velasco please <3
Scar - [ Joe Velasco ]
Send me a prompt or a single word and I’ll write five-ten sentences/paragraphs about it
Prompt: “How did you get this scar?”
Masterlist | Joe Masterlist
Tumblr media
“You know, I’ve always wanted to ask you…” You began in a murmur, the hotness of your breath rippling over Joe’s chest like a blessed wave as you lay there, your finger trailing slowly across a faint, ragged scar just above his collarbone. “How did you get this scar?”
“From some lowlife with a broken glass bottle,” Joe replied, his voice still husky from sleep as he shifted a touch beneath you, causing you to draw back your hand, your fingers curling into a fist until he settled again. It was only then, as he seemed to pull you closer and nuzzle his cheek against the top of your head, did you place your hand back, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath your palm as you covered it from your view, something Joe easily picked up on despite his inability to see the worry your eyes. “It happened a long time ago… Before I even met you.”
“I know,” You whispered, tilting your head to look up at him with a whole new softness sitting deep in your features. You lifted your hand from the scar, slowly grazing it along the length of his neck and coming to land on the side of his face, feeling the slight roughness to his stubble against the tip of your thumb as it drew slow circles over his cheek. “But I still hate the idea of you getting hurt.”
The innocence to your timid tone, and the avoidance in your eyes as you all but confessed the one, deep, fear-riddled secret you had from him, made Joe’s heart weep beneath his tightening chest. He never really gave a second thought about how it affected you, having to go about your day whilst living with the constant fear over what might happen to him on the job and so he pulled you closer, one arm tightening around your waist as the other reached up to cup your face, his thumb trailing lightly along the underside of your eye and he stared deeply into them.
“You don’t need to worry about any of that, mijo,” Joe said softly, leaning in to press a such a gentle, tender kiss to your lips that all your worries easily dissipated from within your body. He drew back just a touch, his forehead still resting against yours as he added, with all the assurance in the world, “Because now that I have something worth coming home to… There’s not a single perp in this city that could ever be able to stop me.”

secretly in love
Tumblr media
pairing: rita calhoun x gender neutral reader
requested by anonymous: “i think i might be in love with you.” with rita calhoun - law and order svu please!!!!
wc: 534
summary: as if presenting her with svu cases to represent wasn’t enough, you wanted take under her wing and learn from her. but you quickly realized you didn’t just want to learn from her.
cw: pure fluff, flirting
a/n: this was definitely something different as i don’t write for rita calhoun. still enjoyed writing! i hope you enjoy anon, so sorry this took so long!
law and order svu masterlist! ✯ taglist!
✯✯✯✯
You loved going to all of Rita’s court cases. The way she cross-examined suspects and her overall demeanor in the courtroom was impeccable. Just like Sonny, you were interested in being an attorney, but while he was getting his tips from Rafael, you were getting yours from Rita.
Time well spent.
You would write down everything Rita told you because you knew it would come in handy one day, whether you anticipated it or not.
On top of that, you wrote down the things you observed during trials. How she delivered her opening and closing statements, how she called objections, how she handled cross, and so much more. You genuinely loved everything about her.
It was safe to say you were a tad bit obsessed with her.
Things started to change as your relationship with Rita became more than professional.
Rita would ask you if you wanted to grab drinks with her, and you would say yes. During those outings, the two of you were intoxicated just enough to shamelessly flirt with each other, but it was in a cute, innocent way. Of course you loved it, but it pained you a bit when you sobered up that she may not have actually meant what she said and did.
The going out for drinks started to become a part of the two of y’all’s routine, and it even escalated to dinner “dates” at one point.
“You’ve been dressing up a lot more lately. Someone you’re trying to impress?” Your friend asked you one night when you were getting ready at their place to spend another night out with Rita.
“No, let’s not put it that way.”
“Okay… but if you get laid, please fill me in on the deets. And be safe.”
You smiled, responding with a thank you.
All while secretly hoping you were gonna get laid.
•••
When you walked in the restaurant and laid eyes on the one and only, you could tell she was stunned. In a good way of course.
“Y/N, you look amazing.” Rita commented when you got closer to her.
“And you as well.” You smiled back.
You sat down across from her and it was just like old times within a few short moments. Chatting about anything that came to mind and sipping on martinis while waiting for the food to arrive.
The energy was the same even when the food came. Towards the end, when it was time for the bill, you felt a sudden urge to release your burrowed emotions.
“I think I might be in love with you.” You blurted out.
Rita turned a few shades of red and smiled. “In love with me?”
“I admire a lot of things about you.”
Suddenly, Rita’s hand met yours and shock waves went through your body. Her hand was soft and dainty, and it was the best feeling ever.
“How about you show me how much you might be in love with me?” Rita asked.
Oh.
A grin crept up on your face. “And how exactly would you like me to do that?”
“Well, let me pay the bill, and i’ll show you exactly how I want the rest of the night to go.”

Exhaustion and Affection
Sonny Carisi x Fem! Reader
Warnings: None.
Word Count: 2.4k
“Of course. You need a decent meal that isn’t just a cup of coffee.”
Tumblr media
Sonny hadn’t meant to fall asleep. Sonny was tired.
He felt the fatigue all the way to his bones as he shuffled to the front door of your apartment. The travel from his office to home had felt like an eternity, and sometimes with New York City traffic, it might as well have been. Sonny had the weekend off (technically – but there was always the chance of the infamous Olivia Benson phone call), and he was desperate for it. The past few weeks had been long for the esteemed counselor. He was strung out and spread thin with work, and he just didn’t have much juice left to give.
He had shed his blazer before he had even left his office for the night, and his tie had been loosened on the cab ride home. His hair that was usually neat and styled was wrecked on his head from his hand running through it throughout the day. He had officially clocked out until Monday morning (or unless prompted sooner).
Sonny felt a rush of relief when his feet landed at the mat in front of your apartment door. That was his signal that he had indeed made it, and his weekend off had officially begun. He reached for your spare key that you had gifted to him in his briefcase. Sonny felt like he never spent any time at his own apartment anymore.
He rummaged through papers and files before recognizing the cold brass on his fingertips. The key was rather worn for a spare, but it wasn’t surprising considering he used it practically every day. He put the key in the lock and turned it, alarmed when the click didn’t sound. There was hardly any real panic of a response because this was a regular occurrence.
Sonny scoffed under his breath, tossing the key back into his case and opening the already unlocked door. He entered your apartment, which offered warmth from the cool October air outside. He then noticed a certain smell, one of his favorite smells, that brought an audible rumble to his empty stomach. He closed the door (being sure to lock it behind him), and set his belongings by the front door. He followed the heavenly smell into the kitchen, and he was presented with a sight that nearly catapulted his heart out of his chest.
He saw you standing over your well-used stainless steel pot that was reserved for any and all pasta dishes that you knew how to make. He saw a separate pot with a lid over it, which he knew good and well was a tomato sauce. He knew the smell of good pasta, and he especially knew the smell of one of his mother’s recipes.
He noticed that you were still in your own work clothes, which let him know that you hadn’t been home very long yourself. The clicks of Sonny’s shoes hitting the tile caught your attention, and you turned around to greet him.
You gave him a happy hello, but he decided to get the hard business out of the way first.
“Sweetheart, you gotta start locking the door….even when you’re home.” Sonny warned, and this was not the first time that he had done so.
“Ah. I forgot. I need to start leaving a note on the inside of the door to remind me until I get in the habit,” You shrugged. “But even then I’d probably forget to look at it.”
“I know this is a well-secured building and all. And I know your neighbors are clean but-”
“-you never know.” You finished his sentence, and he couldn’t help but grin.
“Yeah. Exactly.”
Sonny’s concern came from a good place. He had seen too many horrific things to not notice the small things that could potentially put you at risk to the evil of the outside world. It only made sense that he was so concerned.
“Now. How about a proper greeting?” You smirked. “Hi.”
“Hey, doll.” He laughed.
“You’re home somewhat early.” You noted, glancing at the clock that read 7:30 p.m. on the dot.
“I couldn’t take it anymore. There wasn’t anything that couldn’t wait until next week,” Sonny groaned. “Besides, I have the weekend off so why not start early?”
“Mm. Agreed.” You elbowed his side playfully, and he continued to peer over you as you stirred the spaghetti noodles.
“What are you making?” He asked.
“Carbonara. Nothing special,” You shrugged. “I just figured a simple dinner for tonight would be best. If you want something else, I can order takeout for you.”
“No, no. Carbonara is perfect,” He kissed your temple. “Smells great.”
Sonny really was hungry. It seemed that he had fallen into the ways of a real New York criminal prosecutor by skipping meals in order to get more done. He hadn’t eaten since breakfast that morning, and he had used the last of that energy long ago.
“I hope it tastes okay too. This is only the third time I’ve tried your Ma’s recipe.” You chuckled.
“It was delicious last time. Dare I say that it was….better.” He whispered the last word just below the shell of your ear, and your face ran hot.
“Dominick!” You gasped. “That is nearly blasphemous.”
He laughed a genuine, hearty laugh that brought some life back into his tired body.
“All I’m sayin’ is that my mother has taught you well.” He snickered. “You need help finishing up?”
“I don’t think so. Do you want to get washed up?” You suggested.
“You read my mind,” He joked. “Be right back.”
Sonny left the kitchen and took slow steps to the bedroom. He removed his shoes before stepping on the carpet, setting them next to the dresser so they would be out of the way. His socked feet felt better after being released from the confinement of Sonny’s leather work shoes. They had served him well, but no matter how much he wore them, they still weren’t the most comfortable shoes in the world.
Sonny’s blazer and tie were officially abandoned on the bed, and he’d be sure to take his jacket to be dry cleaned. He removed his belt and unbuttoned his shirt, stripping his clothes to prepare to change into something more comfortable. He was more than happy to change into a t-shirt and sweats, and he was even more glad that he didn’t have to wear his usual business professional attire until Monday morning.
Sonny padded into the bathroom, stopping at the sink and turning it on. He lathered his hands with soap, noticing how tired he visibly looked in the mirror. He knew that he had been working hard the last several weeks, so he wasn’t shocked that it had caught up with him. He rinsed his hands and splashed cold water on his face to wake himself up. All he wanted was a good meal and a night of leisure. God knows he needed it.
Sonny returned to the main area of the apartment, his excitement peaking when he saw that you had already plated dinner for him and were just finishing setting the table. Sonny sometimes felt guilty when you doted over him like this. He didn’t feel like he deserved it most of the time, but it made him only adore you more than he already did.
“You’re too good,” Sonny gushed, walking over to you for a quick kiss. “Thanks, doll.”
“Of course. You need a decent meal that isn’t just a cup of coffee.” You told him.
You were always on Sonny’s case about eating legitimate meals every day. You didn’t like when he came home late every day after skipping lunch. And even then Sonny usually only settled on a measly dinner.
The two of you sat across from each other at your dining room table. Sonny never complained, but he was far too tall for the small table. You had been meaning to search for one that didn’t cause his knees to be pressed up against the bottom of it. Sonny couldn’t have cared less though because he was only focused on the plate of pasta that was screaming his name.
Sonny barely even waited for you to sit before he began to dig in. Sonny was usually very polite and well-mannered at the table, but with the way he was slurping down his noodles – you would’ve thought he’d never been taught dinner table manners. He was chewing through the heat and hardly even chewing before he swallowed.
“Sonny, honey!” You stopped him from literally choking himself to death. “It’s not going anywhere, and I assure you I’m not going to take it from you.”
Sonny paused to actually chew his current mouthful and took a moment to compose himself before he spoke again.
“Sorry,” He chuckled, a little embarrassed. “I’m even hungrier than I thought.”
“There’s plenty more. Promise,” You caressed the calf of his leg with your foot from under the table. “How is it by the way?”
“Incredible. As expected,” He smiled. “Best meal I’ve had all week.”
“How would you feel if I told you that I have a coconut cream pie for afterwards?”
Sonny’s fork his hit plate with a clink, and his eyes went wide with surprise.
“You’re lying.” He gawked.
“I swear. I didn’t make it though. I bought it on my way home.” You admitted.
Sonny went quiet for a second. His eyes squinted in thought as he racked his brain.
“Did I miss something? Not our anniversary, not my birthday, not your birthday….” He listed off.
“Not at all,” You giggled. “I was saving it for tomorrow since I knew for sure you’d be here for dinner….but since you’re here now, I don’t see why we can’t have it tonight and tomorrow.”
Sonny was overwhelmed with love. It wasn’t that you didn’t shower him with affection like this often, but it definitely made it extra special considering he had been so rundown recently. Sonny was happy as could be sitting at that tiny dining room table, enjoying your food, and catching up with you. Sonny had missed seeing you and spending time with you — and it always reminded him how work could drag him away from you.
Once dinner was finished, and your chilled pie was being served, Sonny felt completely at ease. He had absolutely nothing to do until Monday morning, and he wasn’t even sure what to do himself.
“How’s the paperwork coming along?” You asked, scraping the last of the sweet cream from your dessert plate.
Sonny couldn’t help but groan.
“Babe, if you don’t mind, let’s not talk shop tonight,” He chuckled. “Please.”
Sonny’s request hadn’t been an irritated one. If anything, he was amused. He was usually more than willing to talk about work with you (considering that it was a great opportunity for him to vent to someone who could understand), but tonight he wanted to get as far away from it as possible. He was passionate about his work, but even then he could only take so much.
“I’m sorry,” You laughed. “Just a habit. Do you want more?” You asked, standing to retrieve his empty plate.
Sonny stood from his own chair, refusing to let you clean up alone.
“No, love. I’m good,” He kissed the crown of your head. “Thank you.”
Sonny helped you with the dishes, washing and drying and putting away to leave the kitchen clean for the night. Cleaning up with Sonny usually took double the time that it should’ve because he had a tendency to get distracted. You found it rather amusing because that was just how Sonny was. When the dishes were cleaned and stored away, Sonny pulled you into his chest for a kiss.
“You’re the best. You know that?” He hummed.
“I’ve been told a time or two.” You smiled against his lips.
Now that you were looking at him up close, you could see just how weary he looked. The lasting effects of stress were clear on his face.
“You’re tired.” You pointed out, burying a hand in his graying hair to scratch at his scalp.
“Very,” He nodded, his voice gone groggy. “How about a movie?” He kissed you again.
“Sure. Can you stay awake for it?” You asked.
“Very funny. ‘Course I can.”
Sonny had meant it. He wanted nothing more than to snuggle up with you on the couch under a blanket and spend the rest of the night doing nothing in particular. Sonny felt like he had been stuck at his desk or in the courtroom for weeks. Your apartment felt like the safest place on Earth to him right now. Sonny smiled lazily when you took his hand, prompting him to follow you into the living room. Sonny crashed on the couch, the plush pillows were a celebration to his tired muscles. He needed the rest.
“I’m going to change. How about you pick?” You suggested, offering the TV remote to him.
“Sure. Don’t be long.” He winked.
You tottered off to the bedroom to change into your own lounging attire, leaving Sonny in the silence of your living room. Sonny stared at the black screen of the television. The remote remained still in his hand. He hardly even had the energy to lift his thumb to hit the power button. It seemed ridiculous, but the thought of scrolling through Netflix to find a movie just seemed like too much work to him.
Sonny was sunken into the cushions, nearly being swallowed by the sofa as he stared at nothing. It was so quiet in the room. So still. So peaceful. He heard you rummaging around in the bedroom, but it was like white noise to him. Before he knew it, his eyelids were growing heavy, and his breathing was reaching a slower pace. Images of the last few weeks danced around in his head. The fast pace of his career had suddenly come to a stop, and he was basking in relief. Sonny had come home to a happy girlfriend who had fed him and taken care of him in his exhausted state. He had never felt more loved. And that was the best feeling to dream about.
When you returned to the living room clad in your most comfortable clothes, you weren’t surprised to see Sonny snoozing. You had a feeling that he wouldn’t have made it long once collapsing on the couch. He worked hard to pursue his passion, and that was something you never got in the way of. It wasn’t surprising that his work caught up to him at times. If anything, it was a reminder of how hard he worked.
It didn’t bother you in the slightest. Sonny needed the sleep.
After all, you knew that he hadn’t meant to fall asleep.
