How it started: I jokingly suggested that after Volumnia got called a pleb by Grandma'am, Volumnia was behind Grandma'am's husband's death.

This spiraled until very quickly I typed out the age-old addage "this too is toxic yuri." It then spiraled from there as we had already been talking about the Gaul-Ravinstill polycule until we reached "max was for science... gloriam... that was passion... hateful passion but passion nonetheless."

Introducing NFNM

Hello Tumblr! My name is Wesley and I’m here to talk to you about New Faith New Media/NFNM.

You have always been my favorite social media site, you have never died and never will die. Any piece of writing that says otherwise is propaganda! :p Part of the reason I like it so much is the built in anonymity and therefore choice that is inherent to Tumblr. It is in many ways a leftover of the first generation of Internet Refugees, and therefore preserves the environment that existed during that time. While other social media is hostile to human life, Tumblr is simply indifferent, and because of that we can build whatever kind of communities we want here.

So New Faith New Media is going to start posting here. We also have presence other places (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. I will put links at the end) but other members of the NFNM team are mostly responsible for them (I do a lot of the stuff on Facebook too.)

NFNM is a super-progressive interfaith network run by myself and three friends. We’ve been actively working on it for all of 2021 and have been publishing podcast episodes since June. We have four podcasts which you can find on your favorite podcasting platform or on YouTube. They are:

*Faith And What Resonates* which is about faith and music.

*A Pastor And A Priest Walk Into A Movie Theater* which is about faith and movies.

*Faith And The Dice* which is about faith and all types of gaming.

*Breaking Fast With Saint Sparklebear* which is about faith and food and art in general.

We are committed to people exploring their own journeys to faith, whatever that may mean to them, but being in community together while they do that and actively working together for a better world. Our four founding members and board members consist of a United Methodist, an Old Catholic (distinct from Roman Catholic, Google it there might be a post about it later), and two Unitarian Universalists. Guests of the various shows have included Community of Christ, Pagans, Humanists, and more.

The six community rules are pretty simple:

1. No trying to convert anyone to anything.

2. Respect each person’s right to define their own faith.

3. No hate speech or bullying.

4. Be kind and courteous.

5. Respecting any religion does not disrespect any other religion.

6. No self-promotion or spam.

New fursona! A sparklebear!

Some notes:

*Nibble is a bear but NO NUB TAIL! He has a big floof! It was stitched on from another plushie.

*verticle stitches on face, tummy and back

*nails can be any color! He paints them.

*piercings not optional! He has spider bites (two rings on the let side of his mouf), plugs, industrials in each ear and an erl piercing! (This one is optional but I have been considering giving him a tongue piercing)

*Tag is also always on him. He’s a teddy!

*Default emotion/face is sleepy: neutral mouth, half shut eyes, also general sleepy posture. Eyebrows are always a little “angry looking” however, that’s just how he looks!

*collar is on at all times but style can be changed out! ex:
