How it was the relationship of Queen Maria Christina and her grandchildren?

I feel I am not as well researched on this topic, as it is hard to find sources about Queen Maria Christina other than about her engagements, her early life and her time as Regent for King Alfonso XIII. I would love to research and get back to you if you are willing. If not I am sure @spanishroyals might be able to answer your question.Their blog is spectacular. Given that Queen Maria Christina had a wonderful relationship with her son, King Alfonso XIII I would venture to say that she was in good standing with her grandchildren. However I do know that her relationship with Queen Ena was rocky at times. A good insight into how her death affected her son is a book by Javier Moreno Luzón The Patriot King, Alfonso XIII and the Nation: "The same monarch, already in exile, assured: 'Since my mother's death I felt a terrible crisis of mind, I was increased by the inadvertent of those events'. Follow Forever

My blog turns 5 today, and in honor of this anniversary, I’m doing, after a very long time, a follow forever! I got to meet so many wonderful people in this fandom, and I’m so grateful for that. When I first started my fandom tumblr, I didn’t know much about the royal families, but in these last 5 years I learned a lot, thanks to you all. The time I entered this fandom was the perfect time for every royal watcher, only 3 days after creating this tumblr, Willem-Alexander got inaugurated. Then followed a bit more than a month after Madeleine’s wedding, and then in July, Philipe became King, and Baby Cambridge 1.0 arrived, and the first Great Kate Wait started. In September, my faves, aka Claire and Félix got married, and there were so many more things which I probably forgot.

What I want to say is that I had a great start in this fandom, and I enjoy, until today, being a part of it, fangirling over the royals, watching livestreams together and just sharing this passion together. Thank you so much for everyone who made these 5 years in this fandom such a cool time, I will forever be grateful.
