you’re now the second person i’ve encountered who got into the garages entirely independent of blaseball. this is so funny. how did that happen. also what’s your favorite song.

so i listen to recommendations other people give me + also sometimes spotify tries to guess my taste and goes "uhhhhh fan music... indie rock....... that's those garages guys right?" and then next thing i know i'm listening to like five of their songs like "okay these things are independently bangers too to be fair"

genuinely i watched the new puppet history on my own and was like “THE MINESTRONE?” and then when i was watching it with my non-hotdaga friends they were like “oh that’s definitely the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs” and i was just like. yes. that was definitely my first thought also.

30. Biggest surprise while writing this year?

i'm not entirely sure what this means? i don't really think i've had a surprise? sometimes @erstwhilesparrow will leave a comment pointing out something in a fic a wrote and i'll say to myself, "ohhhh, that's so true. that's what is working in this section!" which is less... a surprise while writing and moreso a surprise after writing? i guess?

🌽 [CORN] How good are they at hiding and finding their way?

sev originally had the wanderer focus! which gives them extra bonuses on sneaking onto ships and finding passage and knowing languages, but that ended up not being super relevant to the campaign so i swapped it to something else. i have armor that gives me an extra +2 to sneak, which is huge in a 2d6 system. actually, last session i broke into a secure warehouse by myself. it's a lot easier when you're precognitive and can see the guard rotations

🧇 [WAFFLE] Using shape language, how would you redesign your OC?

i kind of already have! i doodled sev in my class notes p much every single day, so they (unintentionally) evolved. i've made them boxier bc they are quiet and reserved (that's just. how i play, i guess.) and also bc people on art fight keep making them skinny so i've been making more art where they're more visibly fat. in the future i'll prob do some redesigns that are less cutesy/roundfaced.

Do you have a beta reader?

99.9999 percent of the time it’s hayden. if it isn’t hayden, it’s because it’s for hayden, or for an anonymous event hayden is in. if it is not them, it is usually hen or cola. if it is a big enough project that i’m nervous about it, there will be two or three. roots had two, plus me obsessively rereading it as I went. i otherwise don’t really self-edit until after it’s published.

What tools/programs/apps do you use to write?

microsoft word because i’m a shill. (actually it’s because I hate the formatting issues that come with crossposting from gdocs, although I’ve started to use gdocs more so that i can write ongoing projects even when i’m not home with my laptop. i just strongly dislike doing it.) if it’s a new idea or not something i’ve started typing up yet, i also use a little notebook in my bag, or the notes app on my phone. occasionally the backs of receipts.

Tell me about an up and coming wip please!

i have a wip going about twooney and the yellowstone magic and recovering from incineration. idk if i’ll ever finish it but it deals with a lot of personal stuff that’s been going on in my life lately and it’s cathartic for me to poke at when i’m in the mood.

ben ive been abnormal about jcs for five years now and do not worry it has always been that homoerotic. judas reprises mary magdalene’s love song for jesus in his suicide. he’s like actively and obviously jealous of her. multiple productions have him and jesus kiss on the mouth. and it’s beautiful and makes me insane.

ok thank god i thought i was just crazy. i need to watch more productions because good LORD (hehehe). the love song reprise during his suicide REALLY threw me. AND NO ONE WAS REACTING TO IT?? LIKE AM I THE ONLY ONE SEEING THIS HERE???
