has... Has timothee really been dining and befriending Jeff Bezos? WTF?! Is this some weird cry for help? What is happening? When did we go from a socailly aware young actor participating in the BLM protests to having that guy becoming close aquitances to one of the worst human beings of the planet who let a 90 year old guy suffer from heart problems in the spaceex landing and went to celebrate with tweens in bikinis instead?
Seriously something really stinky must be going on between him and his pr team bts because this is not normal.
Yall acting like he's dating Bezos ffs. Do you not know how HW works? Everyone and their brother attend these events. Being at the same place at the same time doesn't make them besties. Sheesh.

Uh Oh.
Welp, a certain site and it’s rich dingdong overlord decided to do a SpaceEx, and whilst I am still very, very displeased about a certain “female-presenting nipples” related NSFW ban this site had, I in the meantime am setting up a tent back here in my old blog patch in the meantime. Oh yeah and alot has changed in the years, more on that later maybe!

Weather Permitting
Sunday, March 3, 2024
SpaceX launch, here we come! Weather permitting. Today's forecast is rain, continuing from last night. We hope it will clear in time for tonight's launch, but Mother Nature is fickle when it comes to allowing astronauts to go safely into space.
Our first stop for the day is to fuel up at the Buc-ee's at Daytona Beach. Wikipedia lists Buc-ee's as a convenience store. Ha! The line of cars taking the two-lane left toward Buc-ee's is as dense as the continuous stream of cars leaving the parking lot. There are 104 gas pumps, a "convenience store" that's over 50,000 square feet with its very own bakery and brisket bar, and dozens of barbecue smokers for sale outside in case you just happened to forget to bring yours.
Then off to hike the Florida Trail, weather permitting. One of our favorite Florida Trail trailheads is the Little Big Econ State Forest parking lot. We expect deep mud in the parking lot due to the rain, but the lot turns out to be pleasantly sandy. We park, eat lunch, pack our packs, and set out. Tim decides to bring the new electric chain saw a) in case we see trail work that needs doing, and b) as an exercise weight (read "ballast") to add to the raincoats in his pack. Jeanne mentions that trail work may be restricted to authorized trail crews, as this is after all a state forest. Tim is too busy being manly to hear her.
The Econ in Little Big Econ is short for Econlockhatchee, the name of the river that flows through the Little Big Econ Wildlife Management Area. The last time we were here, we hiked east along the river. This time we head south. The cumulus clouds are dark in the West, the direction from which the weather is coming, so we are glad we have our raincoats.
We keep Dora on a leash for a while, as alligators and snakes are a real threat to her. We eventually let her off leash but keep her mostly between us as we hike. Each time we see the river, we look for the resident A. mississippiensis along the river banks. We see none, and breathe easier. The hiking is hot, but glorious. The trail is almost completely flat. Palmetto and Live Oak leaves crunch pleasantly under foot. It is so satisfying to be back on the Florida Trail.
The trail turns away from the river. It is hot. We are both wearing long pants. We agree we don't want to do a 6-mile hike our first afternoon out, so we turn around about half an hour from where we believe the next trail intersection is, and head back the way we came. Dora is now walking a familiar trail and races ahead and back toward us as if to report on her findings. We reach the parking lot feeling virtuous for having covered 5 miles.
To reward ourselves, we head for a favorite restaurant, Poke Fin, in Cocoa Beach. They make wonderful poke bowls--mounded spoonfulls of plain or flavored chopped sushi over rice, topped with veggies, hot or mild sauces, and optional crunchy things. A passing rain shower during dinner made us wonder if, weather permitting, SpaceX would be able launch Crew Dragon to the International Space Station.
After dinner, we head over to Kennedy Point Park, a spot on the mainland across the Indian River from the Cape Canaveral. At 6:45 pm, SpaceX reported the weather was 75% favorable for the 10:53 pm liftoff. (Queue the sound of fingers drumming impatiently for hours waiting for the weather to clear.) Here is a SpaceEx picture of an astronaut pushing the top button on the elevator that took them up to the top of the gantry. (The button is labeled “Space”.)
At 9:57 pm we get the word: Crew-8 is go for launch! The parking lot is full, and the air is so thick tension waiting for liftoff, you could cut it with a rocket engine. And there it is, a bright ball of fire pushing the rocket skyward. It turns out we are directly across the Indian River from the SpaceX launch pad.
One and a half minutes into the flight we were awed by a shooting star just to the left of the rocket track. Jeanne got a glorious picture of the backlit exhaust from boostback burn as the Falcon 9 booster fired its engines to return to the landing pad.
After a few minutes, we saw the booster engines relight and stay lit all the way to the ground.
We stood with the crowd for a bit, looking across the river. Then, sated from a wonderful experience, we and the crowd turned to head back to our cars when BOOM! the sonic boom from the booster falling faster than the speed of sound through the atmosphere finally reached us. The humans reveled, the dogs, no so much.
Then off to join the many RV campers in the lot at the Titusville Cracker Barrel for the night.

Elon Musk Loses Title of World's Richest Person After Buying Twitter
Elon Musk Loses Title of World’s Richest Person After Buying Twitter
Could it be that there are some things more important than money? For Elon Musk, it is appearing to be so. According to a report from Forbes, the CEO of Tesla, SpaceEx, and now the owner of Twitter is no longer the world’s richest man. Beating Musk out for that title is LVMH Chairman and CEO Bernard Arnault. Following Arnault and Musk on the billionaires list are: Gautam Adani with a net worth…

like. spaceex i prefer because it's a logistical challenge of both manufacturing and logistics because of what needs to be made in space, what needs to be mined from particular planets, and how you get those to each other, but the design philosophy of "each planet is basically an overhaul mod to make one kind of science" is pretty cool
space age's unique planet setup feels so cool

#reposted_from @glamour_physics LIFECYCLE OF STARS Protostars are formed from a dense nebula of cold gases. The nuclear reaction inside them will make them shine for millions or billions of years according to their classification category. This stage is called the main sequence. Larger and more massive stars burn and collapse faster than smaller and colder stars such as yellow (our Sun) or red dwarfs. Once the hydrogen is exhausted, they begin to melt increasingly heavier elements thus entering the final stages of their lives. The smaller ones (not the red dwarfs) will expand to become red giants that will lose their layers and become white dwarfs inside planetary nebulae. The giant or super/iper giant ones will have a different destiny collapsing after passing a series of evolutionary stages. The final one of which, usually, is that of red supergiants, or from blue and red supergiants into Wolf-Rayet stars. Later exploding into supernovae. If they are in binary systems the end is still in extremely powerful explosive events... ..... in any case massive stars ending up as neutron stars or stellar black holes. The variations in temperature, brightness, radius, mass, chemical composition of stars therefore characterize their stage of evolution and are highlighted in the HERTZSPRUNG-RUSSEL DIAGRAM or H-R DIAGRAM ☆☆☆☆☆☆ credit ::📸1 above Jonathan Peyton/Pinterest 2 📸below Stfederation.it composition :myself ☆☆☆ All Rights And Credits Reserved To Respected Owner (s) Content Is Used For Educational Purposes Only ☆☆☆☆☆☆ #starslife #astronomy #astrophile #astrophysicslovers #sciencelove #stargazer #spacelovers #spaceex #spaceexplorers #spaceandtime #knowledge #scienceknowledge https://www.instagram.com/p/CR5s5rQAc_K/?utm_medium=tumblr

Perr, do u remember your thoughts watching TFA and TLJ for the first time? I remember so vividly me thinking "...okkkaayyyy what kind of sexual thing is this?!" during the interrogation scene. And TLJ was like, my favorite movie experience EVER. When the bond scene happened, I was like "OMG IT''S JUST LIKE THE FANFICS"
Hey there, Anon!
I do indeed! I had been so bitter, for so long about the prequels that I didn't even want to see TFA, but Mr. Downing convinced me (bet he regrets that now!). So I went into the theater with my heart shielded and fully prepared to hate it.
Except, I didn't. It actually felt like Star Wars. I had no idea who Adam Driver was going in, so was pretty unprepared for the unmasking. My first thought was, "Well, crap. He looks like a young Snape. I am so screwed." But I wasn't full Reylo until second viewing--which happened within two days because I have no chill. When I got home I looked it up on Ao3, and that was that, I threw myself head first into the trash can.
As to TLJ, I was completely spoiled going into it because I wanted to be ready to go with a new fic the next day. I even took a week off from work so I could devote myself to writing. So my thoughts were a bit more analytical.
What caught me by surprise the most was how thirsty Rey was! If I'd written that fic I would have been destroyed for being totally out of character. Post-TFA fics were fairly united in that our boy had a whole lot of groveling, explaining, and suffering to do before Rey would let him anywhere near her. But she was all, "Touch my hand!" and rage monster at Luke. Not to mention SpaceExing herself to him same-day air.
Even though the final film was an utter disappointment, I wouldn't have altered a thing up to that point. The thrill of being an OG Reylo was absolutely worth the grief that came later. It was a life-changing experience that still gives me such joy.
Thanks, Anon!

Day 1 of what is the rest of my life
Day 1
Today is the first official day of my “new life”.
I awoke as I have been doing for months around 8:30 am.... much later than my traditional 5 am alarm wake up call from the days gone by with my two BFF’s laying either side of me, my wife to my left, my dog to my right. No one wanted to move. It was perfect.
Its actually een like that for almost three months to some degree, except that every single morning until today I was expected to do something, whether it was drywall and insulate a cottage to have a place to live for the winter in the middle of a pandemic, or to run to town to get an oil change of groceries.
Today I get to sit here looking out over the Northumberland Strait, Nova Scotia behind me, left and right, New Brunswick off shore to the left and Prince Edward Island dead ahead, the lights of the radio towers in Charlottetown blinking “we are here” on a staccato rhythm each and every night after dusk.
I spent the last few years of my career in the c-suites of a billion dollar companies, making big deals and ensuring the demands of growing population were met through the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of minerals required to produce everything from iPhones , toilet paper, French fries, electricity etc. At one point we as an executive team brought in a high powered consultant from an Ivy League school to help us re-brnad our mission, vision, and value statements and help set the direction for a company we were restructuring by getting our leadership team focused on what kind of company we wanted to be. One of the exercises she did with the group of around 20 was called “your book”, and the premise was in turn you had to tell the group if you wrote a book at that moment in time, what would it be titled and why?
Now if you followed me on social media I may have told this story, so bear with me as I retell it, but there’s a twist.
So when it was my turn, my response to the group was my book would be entitled “How the hell did I get here?” which elicited laugher from the group and once the room calmed down I explained that my journey to the boardroom was anything but traditional, and I was amazed at the way my career arc went given the path I followed through life, and I would write a book telling others’ how I parlayed a career in safety and health and helping others’ into a great life lived (in my humble opinion).
I never saw 2019 coming.
Fast forward to approximately 4 years later and I’d still write the book and use the same title, but the book would be very different. Very different indeed. Now it would be about how I came to be sitting on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean hiding from safety. Literally.
I want to write, I find it therapeutic and allows me to organize my thoughts, which in my mind can be like trying to herd kittens on crack. I think a lot. Ask my wife what it’s like living with someone who’s brain never shuts off. I’m not bragging, it’s a curse at times, but at other’s it’s a blessing. My original thought was to write my life story as an inspiration to others’ who have self-confidence issues as a kind of way to pay it forward for the next generation, as based on my interaction with the next two, we’ve got some work to do before we shuffle off this mortal coil if we want the world to survive.
I’m not being mellow dramatic, the way I see it we are currently on a path of mutual destruction. There’s no other way to describe what’s going on in the world right now, it’s either utter incompetence or it’s being done with evil intention.
Like Elon Musk, I’m a big believer in capitalism as anyone who understand the strategic allocation of capital is the only way to efficiently manage a society, and those (like Musk) who are good at it make life better for all (Think Starlink, Telsa, SpaceEx, Boring etc.) versus Government rule by people like Biden, Trudeau et al who only understand that the allocation of resources is done to ensure the next election is in their favour.
There’s a chasm wider than the ocean I’m staring at right now between those two approaches, and an even larger cost to the individual, our communities, and society as a whole.
The world has gone mad in my opinion, we’ve allowed ourselves to be divided, riled up, and set loose on each other, with misinformation and a mass psychosis campaign unlike the world’s not seen. We have completely lost leave our collective common sense. One needs look no closer than the vaccinated being afraid of the unvaccinated to highlight the fact we are no longer thinking clearly. If you took a vaccine because your government told you it was safe, effective, and it would allow us to “get back to normal” and then none of it was true and you lined up for a 3rd shot, well, I can’t help you. I really can’t.
I’m not trying to be mean, quite the contrary. I’m trying to explain people like me to people like you. You’s people. To you, I’m you’s people. Get it? In safety I’d use a teaching point to highlight an aspect of the perlzman effect (more safety controls, more risk taking activity goes on) and I highlight that the way our minds work is that accidents don;t happen to me, it happens to others’, you know, you’s people.
So we ran a vaccination campaign with leaky vaccines (non-sterilizing) and we tied the participation in this trial to the very freedoms guaranteed in our charter of rights. We allowed people we elected (I think) to under the guise of safety rob us of our very freedom to the point of making people die alone as there families pleaded with officials to “allow” them to see their loved ones who were in their final stages of dying, because we didn’t want to transmit them the disease.
Read that again.
We have become that fucking stupid as a society, and many of you bought into it.
Sorry for the naughty words, but know if your going to stick around and read this blog, they will be used as special seasoning throughout in as much as I love my spice rack when I cook. They bring out the emphasis in the points I’m trying to cook up.
So this blog is going to be about our fall into the darkness we’ve experienced as humans, partly for my mental health to write it down, part for your entertainment/education, and partly so those who come after us understand we all didn’t go bat shit crazy and start injecting ourselves with bleach and inserting UV lights in our nether regions.
I’m going to try and write each day or so and tell my story, I hope you’ll follow along and participate, I’d like to hear comments, pushback, contratry thoughts, or just share your experiences in the comments. I think we are alot more alike than they give us credit for, they’ve just told u we are all different.
We aren’t. We all get up each day and put one foot in front of each otherto get through our days, love our friends and family and try to live the best life we can.
Come join me and let’s get back to living by understanding how the wheels on the bus came off. I’ve got time and the desire to fix things, you with me?
Let’s do this.
Jim Out.
