It was certainly issue to have even seen that abhorrent demon Adramahlihk in the first place. Now though, after some investigating, it appears the situation is even worse than it initially seemed. Adramahlihk seemed to cast a spell that split his soul into 'full pieces'. Not fully himself, but pieces of himself that could exist on their own. There wasn't too many thankfully, but he took advantage of the knowledge and rifts to other worlds learned of by and others.

"Well, this is a right mess...I need some help, but who can I ask?" Reyna mutters to herself in contemplation. She can't ask for Sebille and Lohse's help, those two some of this world's best adventurers. And of course, Sadan, Sadha, Beast, Ifan, and Fane have their own very important duties to consider. So who...?

"If you need help, you could just ask us you know." A familiar voice says from the door to her study. Looking back, she spies two old allies of hers. One was a lizard woman of dark scales, with amber eyes, and a pose that exudes a sense of superiority. The other was a human woman, elderly and wearing black clothes and having short white hair.

"Siva? Wendigo? What are you two doing here?" Reyna asks.

"My Lady Divine, we saw you researching about the demon Adramahlihk and his recent actions. It seems you will need to travel out to find what he has accomplished, and stop him." The elderly woman, Wendigo, says.

"Besides, I'm frankly tired of just leaving this to you. You brought me back to life, restored my Source and what? I'm just going to sit around doing nothing? Nonsense, you need me more than ever frankly." Siva, the lizard states.

Reyna smiles at the two of them warmly for their offers. "Well...I do need some help on this. So, thank you both, I gratefully accept your aid." She says bowing to them.

"Think nothing of it, Lady Divine, I owe you my life after all." Wendigo says.

"Well, I mostly just want to stop sitting around, teaching these plebeians about their source when you have a dozen other teachers for it." Siva says.

To hurt them...hurt them how? She still doesn't know who Root is...is she their mother? Ugh, she better see them being abusive or harmfully distant. She is going to give her what for over this if that's the case.

Regardless she comes over to Ghost when they beckon for her. As she hears Ghost explains, she hums. "Well, I could suggest an alternative. Wendigo and Siva are decent at Geomancy, so they could potentially widen the passages. Alternatively, if you can just teleport us in front of this Root, I can give you the energy needed to do so...though I must admit I am unsure how your teleportation works." Reyna muses.

"If all else fails, we can simply return to the surface and check on your children. I doubt Adramahlihk will be much of an issue for you or the knights milady. And we would rather not slow you down in catching him." Wendigo says.

"Plus, I wish to study more on your world's divine nature. The aura of Unn...was bizarrely similar to Radi's. Not the same, but that essence floated around her, but it was more green. Or that might just be me seeing Source instead." Siva muses.

Reyna hums. The way they talk about ‘Root’, she can’t help but wonder who it is. Hollow seems to care about them greatly, and even Ghost seemed somewhat perturbed. Regardless she initially begins following them before Unn speaks to her. She listens to Unn’s warning and nods sadly.

“…I understand. I had a similar issue when I was obtaining the power I have now.” She says gently petting the head of the little ball of fluff in her arms. “I wouldn’t that to happen to her. She deserves a chance to live a better life.” She says softly, before looking at Unn. “And…if she ever needs help, can you please help guide her when I cannot?” She asks with a respectful curtsy.

The goddess watches as Ghost begins to lead the group away again being respectful of Unn’s desire to speak with Reyna more privately, though they are careful to not go too far ahead. Ghost meanwhile pauses just outside of Unn’s chamber with the others to pull out their map so that they could map out the fastest course to their goal, Hollow standing nearby on guard though obviously ready to head out.

Unn switches her attention back to Reyna and listens to the request. She hums softly, debating it in her mind before finally nodding in agreement. “I shall do what I can... Take care Reyna... And do keep an eye on those two... While I do not bemoan the Root for what she took from me.... She may hurt those two with just as little care.... Goodbye for now...” With that the slug goddess slipped back into the acid to return to her recovery. Ghost looked over at the commotion and noticing that Reyna and Radi were now alone they trill and beckon them over. 

Once she’s closer Ghost holds up the map, “I believe I figured out the best route to the Root... There will be some narrow passages I’m afraid that neither me nor Hollow can fit through with our new height. I have been there before and could teleport us there in small groups, if that sounds doable for now? I could take you, Radi, and Wendigo then Siva and Hollow next.”

Just went inactive for reasons. I'm also not coming back really, but sometimes I get asks so full of genuine concern I feel bad for going radio silent.

Zodiac Heroes Poll: Mouse

Another idea I kinda want to play around with and plan for is the chaos of Fu only having the Chinese Zodiac and he releases them all to spite and deal with HM, cause how dare he misuse a Miraculous.

Only there are 12 heroes and a struggle to decide who gets what as possibilities are endless. I have tried and just kept going back and forth and constantly changed my mind.

So for fun, let's do them in polls! I'll be doing three a week, and provide links to other polls as they get released.

Choose very carefully, as each Zodiac will have a variety of potential characters to use it. What character wins in this poll is what they get and that option is removed from future polls.

Mouse Miraculous will have the power Multitude, which can clone the user endlessly, all clones are mentally linked, though the clones will have the same physical capability as the user with no additional strength, speed, or agility. Clones are also very delicate, and will poof away out of existence from a single hit. When clones are dismissed or return to the original, the 5 minute timer will start.

Mullo is a kwami who is quiet and impish. One of her favorite pastimes is pull pranks and messing with humans. She is competitive and thrives for success, preferring it through subtly, cunning, and resourcefulness. She values wit and cleverness, and urges her humans to think out of the box, and to go for what they want, any means necessary, even making use of others around you and their unique strengths. If she likes a human, she can be very affectionate and helpful, but if not, she will set up humans for failure as a (spiteful) lesson, and for her own amusement.

MY version of a Wish rewrite

I know this is outside my usual lmk comfort zone but I saw the concept art for Wish, fell in love, saw the movie, got bored solid 5/10 but compared to what it could've been, the hype for it as Disney's big 100 shabang? Leaves much to be desired let's just say...

And most if not all wish content online is rewrites and redesigns anyway so Ima throw another one into the pile

BUT BEFORE WE START

I know we all love the idea of the big bad villain evil for the sake of evil. And I too miss the classic villains *chefs kiss* never forget

HOWEVER I decided to look at a slightly less evil(?) Magnifico and Amaya with a more tragic reason when they commit crimes and portray them as 'reasonable' and 'not that evil' as disney tried

But without further ado, lets get down to it:

first Asha will the daughter of Magnifico, Amaya and more importantly, the princess of Rosas (now she has a bigger connection to the people other than being just a tour guide)

We keep starboi (or as tumblr has dubbed them: Aster) as a humanoid creature, not a plushie

Amaya is totally in on the shenanigans with Magnifico they are ride or die couple

FIRSTLY, lets talk about ASHA:

I saw many people complain about the 'dorky' not like other girls trope

And I saw a counter where someone said people don't like a female awkward protagonist of color

My issue is this trope has been used multiple times already and if you don't have a good reason or make her charming, then sorry the trope is just cringy

So with Asha let's keep the awkwardness that's fine; public speaking ain't her strong suit, social anxiety baby

Asha here is more reserved and shy

having been the child of two powerful rulers, she has very big shoes to fill and her parents don't make it any easier

they dismiss her when she tries to learn magic saying 'she's not ready' and almost infantilize her

she learns magic in secret by sneaking into her father's study but doesn't practice it to not expose herself and she doubts her abilities

Her parents also don't let her handle any royal duties, they want her to play and not worry but don't allow her with them during ceremonies and such saying she's not ready

the people know they have a princess just don't know what she looks like but sing of her in poems and songs even without knowing her

she is allowed outside the palace as the island is as safe as it can be

despite this, Asha is incredibly compassionate and empathetic

she'd have very high emotional intelligence (cause I miss princesses like that)

she will help out wherever she can in town as a peacemaker and the people love her but don't know she's their princess

Asha is always desperate to make her parents proud and is so selfless to the point she forgets her own wants at times

she is still 17 nearing 18 but she doesn't know her own wish

she can keep her hobby of animation, just perhaps embarrassed to show anyone since her parents mentioned it's rather 'childish'

Please can someone give her some new duds. Her current fit is cute but between the long hair without a fringe and slim purple dress, I can't help but compare her to Rapunzel

KING MAGNIFICO AND QUEEN AMAYA:

ok this will be touchy

I want to delve into the fact that Magnifico is traumatized and crank it to 11

Amaya is a sourceress who was a refugee from an old war

the two met when Magnifico was building his kingdom and fell deeply in love

Amaya taught him magic and they advanced their kingdom into a utopia

The two always dreamed of a family and to build a land where their people would never suffer again

They view the people of Rosas as their children and are known as such. Treated as benevolent and the 'the loving founding parents of Rosas'

As time passed, the two gained more and more power and were able to treat their people even more even gaining the grand ability to grant wishes

the more they did, the more love they received and the granting wishes was the cherry on top

the couple grew greedy for the praise, they were practically gods in the kingdom's eyes

More time passed, as the kind rulers they are, they used their magic to do all the manual labor so the people wouldn't have to lift a finger

Now an isolated island full of a new generation with no work to do, the people spend their days praising the royal family

The issue? Well, now especially the young people of Rosas, don't know how to work. They rely soley on Magnifico and Amaya for survival and the couple knows it. That is how they like it

Over time, they viewed the people as helpless children without them. They're doing this for the people's own good in their own twisted beliefs. The wish granting in particular keeps the praise on them almost like a cult.

Their love for the kingdom grew twisted into obsession and they'd do ANYTHING to keep their innocent citizens like this.

Basically imagine a 'there is no war in Ba Sing Se' situation but the Dai Li are running it and the people they're kissing up to is the people of Rosas

The two love Asha dearly but perhaps a little too much

They infantilize her like I said and always views her as beneath them and work so hard to 'protect' her and their people that they actually rarely spend time to bond with the very girl they protect

ASTER (AKA STARBOI) (he/them btw):

first off, he will stay in that humanoid form as usual

They will be a shapeshifter in homage to the genie but how is he different from the genie you ask?

Well firstly he's mute. Or well, just like Tinkerbell, talks in jingles, his true voice unintelligable to the human ear

"But how is he going to sing 'at all co-" shshshshshhshs hush. I have a plan for that just wait

Secondly he will be made of pixie dust which functions like sandman, basically if he is punctured, then he will regenerate like sand

They can float via pixie dust and can spread it to other things

They can see they wishes of people, as in he can see those sparks in someone and can see/sense the hole left when they're taken away

To make someone else fly, all they need is pixie dust and happy thoughts

He's meant to be the personification of joy and hope

Now I've seen many people make him precious sunshine boi who is curious and kind and must protec-

And I like that concept but upon thinking bout it, Aster resembled more like a fae than anything

As a living being of joy and other-worldly, it really reminded me of Joy from inside out

So I want their charisma to be 17/10. Just the happiest, cheerful most flamboyant dude you've ever met to the point he's kinda a showoff like a class clown

Make them sassy! I want this star to be protected (at all costs lol) and simaltaneously a menace to society

He and Asha are like that meme with Ken and Barbie's mugshots but Aster absolutely knows what they're doing

But since he's only ever watched humans from afar, he has trouble empathizing with them and understanding them so sometimes they come off as insensitive

they kinda look down on humans as requiring the help of magic beings like them

Another downside is since he's comprised of joy and hope, whenever someone close loses hope or get's sad, he starts to lose his magic and eventually fade away.

His existence on earth basically depends on the emotions of those around him

"Are they the second star to the right? Cause isn't Ray married to the-" Hushshshshshshssh I saw in a comic (I forgot the creator if you know pls tell so I can credit) the idea of Evangeline and Raymond being Aster's parents and I love that so we keep it

So what are wishing stars exactly?

Like the blue fairy, they are magic (usually) benevolant beings who help grant human's wishes when they deserve it or have worked on it.

They are more guiding beings using magic to give a push like Gepetto wished for a son, Pinnochio came alive but needed to work to be a real boy

Now I know this is a rewrite and I said I'd elaborate on some issues but its late rn and I'm going to get yelled at so I'm going to have to carry on later

I have played just a bit of Astral Chain, and GOD does that game made my 'Hunter Patty with demon summons' thoughts come back with a force.

That game has basically the perfect setup/structure to insert her in and make Patty a formidable opponent, while also keeping her, you know, grounded and human. So I propose a shameless ripoff of gameplay mechanics and themes for her in a DMC-universe.

(these rambles are sponsored by my maybe two hours playtime of Astral Chain)

A quick intro about Astral Chain - it's a Platinum game that is set in a sci-fi universe which basically demons invade. Humans set up a special forces division that mixes some captured via Chains demons with human material, and the result are Legions that get paired with an operative and they work together.

Important note here is that the chained demons are exactly that - chained, and they aren't really happy with their predicament, so they try to escape if they aren't controlled properly. That said, they aren't mindless either, and can operate on their own, but are normally tightly ordered around and kept on a strong leash.

I think this setup in itself is very interesting - the humans are trying to fight fire with fire, while fully aware said flame might turn on them if used too freely.

Another thing I'd like to highlight is feel of combat in Astral Chain. The characters fight demons with guns and batons, which, well, doesn't exactly do much damage. The main damage dealer in this equation is, of course, the Legion under the human command.

You can do the normal button-mashy 'attack unless dodge then attack again', but really, in this game it feels like it pays to play Smarter, not Harder. The chain that binds demons is very physical, and with proper Legion positioning you can trip charging enemies or bind them in place for a time. This translates to me that the key is getting the upper hand in a fight, and no 'power level' or some other imaginary number will truly decide the outcome.

Last thing - the main character of the game is a sort of police officer, and they get a lot of requests to help civilians around. Even while on a big demon hunt, the priority for them is protecting humans, and getting to the big bad only after they are secure.

Why I think all of this works Perfectly Well for Patty:

The main premise of 'fighting fire with fire' is something the Order demonstrated quite well in DMC. They went so far in their studies as to develop stable technology based on demonic, and relatively safe enough for human use!

That said, Patty is no martial fighter. She is a human, and she physically cannot compete with demons, even easier ones. She needs as edge in a fight - this is where the idea of playing Smarter comes in.

I have been advocating for Patty getting a summons-based combat style, based of V(ergil) in dmc5, for a while now. I'll keep the design stuff under wraps, but I think that turning the demonic against demons seems very much up Patty's alley. Especially given her sourceress heritage, which, to be fair, we have no idea if it does anything, but hey, why not an ability to bind some demons to herself right? Or well, maybe some new demon-based tech helps her do that, but the technicalities don't really matter.

Plus, DMC demons already Do have a 'binding' ritual of sorts - the Devil Arms. Humans certainly can't wield those, so that's out of the question, but a simpler demon? Bound for a time even maybe? Not a bad substitute.

So, Patty gets herself a gun for long range, something close-range (rapier) for self-defence, and acquires a demon binded for herself.

Another idea I read a few times was Patty trying to get herself a position...close to the demon-hunting, but not the task itself, as she's not suited for continuous fighting. Something more about helping people, organising them and other supportive roles for when invasions happen.

Needless to say, I think that after how Dante disappeared on her, Patty would want to keep a Very Close ear to the ground about demons. She wouldn't be able to just stand aside either, so I think she'd volunteer to help there and then keep it up.

Having an ability to Bind demons would be a valuable ability in this situation, as her main focus would be on helping and defending civilians, instead of mowing down hordes on her own.

This can be up for debate, but I think the idea of demon binding being situational is more useful than getting a single demon bound permanently. Permanent binding would probably be harder to keep up, mostly in terms of mental/magical(?) effort, and I don't think Patty really needs that ability on all times. A spontaneous binding of a single demon out of the attack group though? More sudden, adaptable and, depending on the power of the demon chosen for binding - more cost-efficient, or at least you save up on the cost outside of fighting.

Another option is a 'pokemon' situation, when the binding requires energy only for the initial bind, but the upkeep is cost-free. So, she needs to change demons only when the bound one is too weak to fight anymore. Though I don't think that fits the other dmc demons rules, and the situational bind situation is better.

tldr Astral Chain gave me the perfect vision of Hunter-Patty, which is pretty much a ripoff of abilities from that game. It fits Patty very very well in my opinion though

So yeah, Astral Chain basically gave me a fully-realised Hunter-Patty fantasy, and I really love this mix of ideas for her. The game itself is also very fun, and I highly recommend everyone tries it out, if you can (curse you nintendo for holding it hostage). Thank you for reading this ramble)

hello, extremely rare side of the aphmau fandom. here are some daemos headcanons as i am rewatching My Inner Demons yet again and have. many thoughts.

Daemos beauty standards are heavily centered around strength (warrior society so ofc) and are not gendered. muscle mass, tall stature, body modifications such as piercings, tattoos, and sharp teeth (will get into that) are all signs of strength and seen as attractive!

Daemos are herbivores, and have naturally flat teeth. however, many daemos get cosmetic additions to make their teeth appear sharper! this is a form of body modification and is considered attractive by daemos beauty standards

As spirits (animals in general) often take the role of guides to sourceresses, spirit life is seen as sacred and the killing of spirits is believed to bring curses / bad luck

Bisexuality is very much the norm on daemos, their social standards around sexuality are not strict however having a gender preference is definitely not as normal

That being said, social standards around marriage are pretty independent from standards around romance and sexuality. the purpose of marriage is almost entirely:

political alliances for the upper class

the sharing of land and assets for the lower class

Monosyllabic names are extremely common on daemos. this is more of an observation than a headcanon because the only daemos character who has more than one syllable in their name is Lady Grandma

The way art is treated is kind of complicated as daemos society is largely focused on war. art is widely seen as frivolous and much less important than battle. however, art does exist in many different forms and is celebrated, though less publicly, by many daemos!

This leads into my next point that drag queens exist on daemos, but instead of dancing or singing they engage in gladiatorial combat on stage

In a different universe, female Yuu (Yueme) goes thr the canon story and some events as well

Till one day, Archane Academys announced a grand event and the selected ones required to be:

Sourceress Academy (all girl school): 4th year student

Science Fantasy College(boy & girl school): 3rd year student

Sword Academy (RSA): 2nd year student

Mage College (NRC): 1st year student

How they select the presentives is their school's artifact, not the headmage/principal. For example, in NRC, the dark mirror will choose out of all the first year students to be the school's representative. But out of all of them, none of them were chosen until the Ramshackle prefect and Grim came late (bc of a certain bird man).

Yueme let Grim go first like it has become a habit that Grim goes first before them. That is when:

Dark Mirror: "You!"

Yueme: As in, me?

Dark Mirror: "Yuu, you shall be the one who represents Night Raven College. For you who is selected for the grand event."

Yueme: ?!

Crowley: *shock pikachu face*

the rest of nrc students/staffs: Eh?!

There were some arguments that Yueme shouldn't go as she is a magicless and no background. Yueme agree to which she talk back to the dark mirror.

Yueme: I can't be the one representing the whole school. I don't come from a prestigious background and no magic. Why do you select me when there are others who are better suited than me?!

The ancient school artifact was surprised that someone who talked back at it. They remember a certain queen who they once served to.

Dark Mirror: "You will discover sooner than later, now get ready. For the ship to pick you up and the other one. May you represent a noble crow, my lady."

Yueme: ...Can at least bring my familiar Grim for my safety?

Dark Mirror: "You may, my lady. I also shall give you this for your journey."

(HC: The Dark Mirror address any female Yuu/oc with dignity)

So then Yueme starts packing, only to pack their few clothing: sweat pants, shirts, and other. She made sure to ask Vil for a medicine for Grim in case he gets seasick.

Lastly, an emerald apple shape brooch that was given by the Dark Mirror itself.

They said their goodbyes to the Ramshackle ghosts, the first year's, and the rest as Crowley took them to the east side (mainly for passenger ships)

As she took a step, Yueme accidentally slipped and was about to fall. Until someone managed to catch them.

Yueme: Um.. thank you for catching me on time

???: You're welcome. You could have hurt your head

Yueme: I assume you are a student in Royal Sword Academy?

???: How did you know? I tried to dress myself to more casual so that no one would know.

Yueme: Don't worry, I won't cause any problems. I guess I know why my school's artifact choose me.

Grim: Fnagh! Who are you? What do you want from my henchman?

???: My apologies

Percival: My name is Percival Aelius, a sophomore student in Royal Sword Academy.

And that is how Yueme and Percival meet, soon to fall for each other, and going through the pain and suffer together. (hehehehehehehehe)
