The room was shrouded in darkness, illuminated only by the faint glow of a phone screen. (Y/N) lay in bed, tossing and turning as sleep eluded them. The soft hum of the night surrounded them, and the digital clock on the bedside table blinked 1:23 AM.

With a sigh, (Y/N) reached for their phone, their fingers dancing across the screen as they opened a message to their boyfriend, Seth.

(Y/N): Hey, you up?

It didn't take long for a reply to come through, the notification casting a pale light across the room.

Seth: Yeah, I'm still awake. Why're you up?

(Y/N) hesitated, fingers hovering over the virtual keyboard before they started typing.

(Y/N): I can't seem to sleep. Just not tired, I guess.

(Y/N) stared at their phone for a moment after sending the text, a flicker of confusion crossing their features. Seth's usually swift responses were nowhere to be found, leaving them wondering if he had indeed fallen asleep.

Just as they were about to set their phone aside and attempt to get some rest, a soft but distinct tapping sound echoed in the quiet of the night. The noise was coming from their window. (Y/N)'s eyes widened, their heart pounding with surprise as they glanced towards the source of the sound.

Hesitating only for a moment, (Y/N) got up from their bed, their feet padding softly across the floor. Their curiosity piqued, they approached the window cautiously, pulling back the curtain to reveal the unexpected sight.

There, outside the window, stood Seth. His bare chest was illuminated by the moonlight, his breath visible in the crisp night air. His out-of-breath grin was infectious, and (Y/N) couldn't help but feel a mixture of surprise and amusement.

As their eyes met, Seth's grin widened, and he pressed his hand against the glass as if reaching out to them. "Let me in, babe. It's cold out here."

(Y/N)'s surprise gave way to a bemused smile as they quickly unlocked the window and pushed it open. The cool night air rushed in, but it was accompanied by the warmth of Seth's presence. "What on earth are you doing here?"

Seth climbed through the window, his movements slightly awkward due to his haste. Once he was inside, he stood up straight, his expression a mix of sheepishness and excitement. "Well, since you said you couldn't sleep, I thought I'd bring the company to you."

(Y/N)'s amusement grew, and they couldn't help but shake their head at his antics. "You couldn't just send another text?"

Seth chuckled, his eyes locking onto theirs with affection. "Where's the fun in that?"

With a soft laugh, (Y/N) closed the window behind Seth, the warmth of their room enveloping them both. "You're something else, you know that?"

Seth's grin remained as he stepped closer, his arms wrapping around (Y/N)'s waist. "Just doing my part to make sure you're not up alone."

As his warmth seeped into (Y/N), they leaned into his embrace, their forehead resting against his. "I appreciate it, Seth. It's nice to have you here."

Seth's gaze softened, his fingers gently lifting their chin. "I'll always be here for you, (Y/N). Even if it means showing up at your window in the middle of the night."

Wait why are you not a fan of Snape and Hermione?? 2 nerds who care a socially awkward amount about the things they care about nerding out together at levels of romance people who can be chill and normal about things can’t comprehend?? It’s not one of my fav ships but I can definitely see it!

I headcanon that Snape picks on Hermione being a muggle raised know it all thirsty to prove and lacking self awareness because he was one himself when he arrived at school and James and Sirius picked on him for it! It’s like that you’re most repulsed by the things you’re self conscious of in yourself thing to me. Or maybe a him trying to live out being the “cool” one in that dynamic thing

But when she’s a grown woman and more self possessed like he became too I feel like that same energy ness has potential for love!

Hermione is famously respectful and compassionate enough towards all beings to be more understanding than say Lily Evans of his prickly tender ego if he had another m word style outburst and such a people pleaser she’d keep coming back for more snark as long as he peppered it with the odd encouraging compliment

And I feel like a Snape in reciprocated love could absolutely veer into inventing beautiful and helpful spells to impress his lover or sending “made me think of u 😘” notes with verses of elaborate obscure poetry territory that would be frankly the level of literary and academic courtship our Herms deserves 😌

Is it cause they’d both be the highly strung worrier one and they both need someone to ground them? Or maybe too pessimistic together and one of them needs to be the cheerful one?

anon, i genuinely love this for you - i'm always thrilled to get people explaining their love for ships in the ol' inbox, especially when they're ships i don't instinctively vibe with, and i have been won round to stranger premises than this by a passionate defence of why two characters should kiss.

where i still think snamione isn't clicking for me, however, is that the way you describe both snape and hermione here doesn't align in any significant way with what i personally think would be interesting to explore about either character in a relationship and have them still feel meaningfully like their canon selves.

[i will say, though - because i always think it's worth reiterating my fandom commitment towards being neither a cop nor a priest - that i literally don't give a shit about either the age gap or the student-teacher dynamic. i know that's an objection to pairings like snarry and snamione which lots of people do express. but i will never be one of them.]

the primary reason that i don't vibe with many of the more... sapiosexual hermione ships [by which i mean not only snamione but tomione] is that they hang on the idea that hermione's intellect expresses itself in a way we never actually see in canon.

or, the idea that snape and hermione are intellectually compatible [and that they would enjoy hanging out being nerdy about stuff] is just... not true.

throughout the seven-book canon, the way that hermione shows herself to be clever is that she displays an excellent memory and an enormous capacity to rote-learn. her intelligence is overwhelmingly demonstrated - both in the classroom and during the trio's year on the run - by her being able to regurgitate swathes of information, very usually verbatim from the source she got it from.

she is clearly able to use this ability to retain information to understand the theoretical component of magic in a way neither harry nor ron ever manage, and she is able to use this understanding of theory to work out how to perform spells which are ahead of her expected level on the hogwarts curriculum.

and this is intelligence - and i want to be very clear that i'm not trying to suggest that hermione shouldn't be thought of as intellectual, or that her academic achievements should be devalued. but it isn't the way snape's intelligence manifests itself.

because hermione is never shown - at any point in canon - to be a particularly creative or experimental thinker.

she places an enormous intellectual trust in disciplinary authority - teachers and textbooks - and is frequently rattled when these are revealed to be partial or incorrect, as we see in her shock at hogwarts: a history not mentioning house elves or her anger at harry getting better results by following the modified instructions in the prince's textbook [despite knowing nothing about the theory underpinning them] than she does with the "official" ones.

she also regards the gatekeeping of inquiry which disciplinary boundaries enforce to be a positive thing and she never displays any inclination to step beyond them. she dislikes the spells in the prince's textbook because they aren't ministry-approved - and i must say that i think the idea that she'd be won over by a man creating spells for her is wishful thinking...

she is immediately mistrustful of anything she can't find something she regards as an empirical source for - notice, for example, that she only comes round to the idea that prophecies might be real once she encounters them in the ministry of magic.

even when we see her using magic on her own terms - the jinx she uses on marietta edgecombe, for example; or the protean charm on the da coins - the magic she's using is sophisticated, and is being applied in a way which wouldn't be classroom-sanctioned, but it's not magic which is being used in a way which is removed from the spell's original purpose. the protean charm on the da coins is impressive because it's a flawless execution of newt-level magic by a sixteen-year-old. it's not impressive because hermione is using it in a strange, experimental, or radical way.

[in contrast, the dark mark - which harry notes the coins mimic - is clearly a spell voldemort himself invents.]

snape, on the other hand, is an experimenter. he's someone who clearly sees magic as a creative force which he has every right to shape as he sees fit by adaptation and invention. and he's someone who evidently rejects the logic of disciplinary gatekeeping - one tension in his relationship with dumbledore prior to half-blood prince is that snape evidently retains an enormous intellectual interest in the dark arts [which, as he tells us, are an area of magic which is feared precisely because they can't be neatly contained within disciplinary boxes - they are ever-changing, unfixed, mutating...]

and it's these conflicting views of what magic is and how it should be used and thought about which is the cause of the intellectual incompatibility we see between snape and hermione in canon.

he is unequivocally in the wrong for his dismissive classroom manner towards her - because he is an adult and she is a child. but he isn't wrong in principle that hermione just repeating what she's read in the textbook and refusing to synthesise her knowledge [she always goes massively over word limits! she never gives answers in class in her own words!] isn't actually a demonstration that she understands the material. [and therefore something a good teacher would guide her through conquering... snape having no interest in doing this is his own fault.]

and - from a snamione-specific perspective - it's all the evidence snape needs that, actually, they're not going to enjoy hanging out chatting about academic pursuits. hermione values knowledge like a dragon hoards treasure. snape wants to take that treasure, melt it down, and turn it into new and weird things.

once again, i don't think this a flaw in either of their characters - it's just something which is. and i don't think it's an insurmountable obstacle to writing snamione, because i believe any ship is possible if an author has enough nerve. but it's an aspect of both characters' canon personalities [and hermione's above all] which never seems to make it into snamione fics - all of which, as far as i've encountered them, are beholden to an idea of hermione's approach to academia which is considerably more flexible than we actually see in the books.

of your other points, i'm not particularly convinced by the idea that snape sees his younger self in the teenage hermione. this isn't just for the reasons outlined above - hermione isn't trying to prove herself in the same way he was, which was by creating and experimenting in a bid to be noticed and considered impressive - but also because of the massive gulf in their respective class backgrounds.

hermione is really posh - and, while she's obviously subjected to discrimination at hogwarts on account of her blood-status, she also comes from a family with both the financial resources and the cultural language to make her familiar with the vibe of the elite muggle boarding schools hogwarts is a pastiche of.

the teen snape - in contrast - stands out from his cohort in that he is visually identifiable as working-class [which does appear to be genuinely unusual at hogwarts]. his class background is something which clearly drove a lot of the marauders' bullying of him [i'm sorry to the girlies who think james and sirius targeted him out of some righteous desire to stamp out his prejudice - it was because he was poor and uncouth] and which he still has a chip on his shoulder about as an adult.

this - again - is not an insurmountable barrier to a snamione relationship [as it's not a barrier to thousands of real-world partnerships and friendships]. but it is something an author needs to grapple with if they want to make the pairing - at least, in my opinion - seem plausible. but the standard vibe seems to be that snape would be comfortable in the grangers' home fairly quickly, and that he'd be delighted to have hermione swanning around offering suggestions for how they could do up spinner's end... instead of him resenting this as the unwelcome meddling of people who've never had to worry for money.

i'm also not particularly convinced by the idea that hermione would get over being called a mudblood - especially by an adult man. while i think it's completely plausible that she'd handle this differently than lily [although lily's reaction is entirely justified - and i don't think we should throw the baby out with the bathwater of contextualising the teenage snape and the motivating factors behind his decisions by pretending that cutting off your friend because he called you a slur is a petty, ill-thought-out, or unreasonable move], i don't think that her reaction would be automatically forgiving.

hermione is compassionate towards kreacher when he calls her a mudblood because kreacher is a slave, whose prejudicial views are inextricably bound up in the magic used to oppress him [i.e. that if he received an order to use the term, or to refuse to serve a muggleborn food, from his masters, he would have to punish himself violently if he disobeyed it]. she is not - quite rightly! - compassionate towards someone like draco malfoy when he calls her one, since he is a free person with full agency to choose not to do this.

could she forgive him - or snape - for using the term? sure! absolutely! but i don't think it's a given - and i also think she'd expect a demonstration of how sorry snape was which wouldn't necessarily align with how he'd think he'd demonstrated his regret.

i do agree that - as you say - hermione is a people-pleaser, and she definitely has a far greater tolerance for being treated cruelly by people she wants to impress [especially authority figures - including snape himself] than either harry or ron. and i think this has the potential to introduce an extremely thorny dynamic into a snamione fic - in which the power dynamic inherent in the age gap [which, to reiterate, i think is completely fine for an author to enjoy] is compounded by hermione being unwilling to anger or contradict snape [which is a vibe - as i've said in answer to an ask about harmony - we also see in her relationship with harry... it's also obviously exactly how snape's relationship with dumbledore works.]

on a couple of the more minor characterisation notes, i'm afraid that the idea of snape as a great romantic has never hit for me. it seems really bound up in the way alan rickman portrayed him in the films, which i've always found a bit toothless. i also don't like the trope of "actually snape's really hot" which seems to always accompany it - ugly, odd men to get to bone too!

[what he would be - i think - is a magpie. get ready to be handed odd stones and bits of leaves on dates.]

i also think they're highly-strung in ways which differ enough to mean they'd just annoy each other. hermione is highly-strung in that she flusters easily and is very poor under pressure, but she's actually pretty emotionally stable [and i'd dispute that she's a pessimist - this is a girl who thinks that she's successfully eradicating slavery at hogwarts by knitting hats; she's pretty robust, funny, cheerful, and idealistic]. snape is highly-strung in that he has a hair-trigger temper and is very emotionally volatile, but he's obviously an extraordinarily good liar, very quick on his feet, and very good under pressure. he'd think she panicked too much [and over insignificant things he didn't care about], she'd think he tanked the vibe of a date by taking offence at someone breathing too loudly.

where are they similar? well, they have a shared self-serving streak [hermione is appalled by behaviour from harry and ron she considers perfectly moral when she does it]; capacity for cruelty; tendency towards secrecy; tendency towards pettiness and pleasure in the misfortune of others; loathing of flying a broom; cutting sense of humour; stubbornness; resilience; clear dislike of slumming it in nature; love of puzzles; and a weakness for red hair.

i think you could make it work on the grounds that they'd probably have the time of their lives being haters together - especially, i feel, about rita skeeter.

You know what? I pretty much agree to almost all of this. The energy he was serving during the end of the 1990's, like in the famous VIVA interview is nothing short of iconic, a tad bit haughty yet in a charming manner, and watching it kind of leaves you in a breathless state (at least I feel this way), since this man excudes such a complacent attitude which makes you wonder what he's capable of 👀

I wouldn't say he lost his distinct energy, far from it. He knows what kind of effect he has on people (at least surely he does sometimes), since his presence on stage as well as in music videos can still be quite captivating:

not sure if you’ve been asked this beforeeee but how do you implement all the technical jargon? the descriptions of the consoles, the coolant chambers, the effects of a fictional plasma gun on flesh and armor, and the like? do you do a lot of research? and how do you make it sci-fi? (after my 4936^nth play through im now focused on every little word you put to paper 😌)

ummm I don't do a Lot of research - I read a lot of scifi so a lot of the "jargon" is drawn from there... if there's specific parts I want to know about, I'll look up the ways various engines work (car/shuttle/submarine usually) and see if I can find a named part that suits what I need, but I won't spend hours on it. usually if I can't find something within about 15 minutes I'll just make some shit up: there's basic principles, like....engines produce heat, require a power source, require backup power sources, and that power needs distribution and containment - that gives you coolant systems, fusion chambers, generators, and from there if i need to get more specific I'll look up how real engines manage these things.

i try not to use too much technical jargon, because i know that can put people off, and I think...in a lot of cases, the more specific you get, the more glaring the errors can be. I'm not an engineer and I've definitely got some stuff wrong (lmao) but the more attention I draw to it the more obvious it'll be, so...vagueness my good friend vagueness. there's definitely some things I've thought about a loooot more - I have a lot of thoughts about the way IVI works, for example, bc I have. neuroscience degrees and it's something I like thinking about, whereas the space travel and engineering stuff is less interesting to me so I get less specific. at some point I fully intend to have a big exposition dump about the biology of IVI and I expect everyone to sit down and pay attention<3

as for how I make it scifi, I think....again, as someone who reads and watches a lot of scifi I have quite a strong sense of the vibe I'm going for, and the ways it plays into the setting I've built: for example, I've obviously discussed power armour and body armour as things that scytha operatives are equipped with, which then means there have to be weapons designed to bypass those things, and so thinking about that kind of rock-paper-scissors system of different technologies is a lot of fun. a lot of my inspiration for that comes from video games in particular, which tend to be very combat-focused and so do emphasise that sort of thing.

so, yeah, there's a lot of....piecing together bits and pieces, and looking back at things I've already written in and asking how I can work around or with that, and checking for consistency; i draw inspiration from all kinds of places, but particularly my books and also my job:-)

Frido's the best friend that she met at uni and they're just such good friends and they adopted IT Head!Caro into their friend group when they were at university. Caro runs the IT department and she works in a little office that she keeps really dark and just hunches over her computer all day.

Frido and Ingrid keep telling her to take a break and go out for once. Caro thinks they're both being stupid but the first time she actually does, she meets Marta and Conejita and Frido and Ingrid never let her live it down.

Frida working on the nearby nature reserve and she loves taking Squish to work with her on the weekends. Some of Squish's favourite things is parent day at the school when all the parents come in to talk about their jobs and everyone gets to hear about all the cool conservation things Frida does.

Emma in the bakery using the berries she and Squish foraged at the weekend in her muffins and suddenly the bakery is booming again. Bambi forcing Alexia inside because Squish's mummy runs the bakery and Alexia literally just buying a sandwich for herself and a slice of cake for each of her girls but then being really impressed and suddenly Alexia's restaurants are getting their bread and cakes from Emma's bakery.

Emma and Frida are definitely living their cottage core fantasy with Squish.

The school takes the kids out to the nature reserve Frida works at for trips sometimes and Squish counts down the days every month

But also thinking about how Magda and Frido probably went to university together so they knew each other from back then. Stumbled upon this gem of an official Fairy Tail Drama CD thanks to @heartfilia-source for linking the actual audio + full summary in their sidebar (big fan 😌 thank you for all the Lucy-centric stuff!!)

The overall plot is pretty interesting (Lucy being a detective and using her big brain!!! Almost gives danganronpa vibes without the killing part!!! Big fan!!!) and I’m sad there’s no actual visuals/anime filler ep(s) dedicated to it considering they use the anime JP VA cast for Team Natsu but it was fun to listen to and follow along with the summary!

There are QUITE a number of cute nalu banter/moments that got me screaming so I’ll be listing them all with their timestamps! Praying one day we get a full proper english translation on it (and the LIGHT NOVELS ):<) if there isn’t one somewhere out there.

It starts off with Natsu, Lucy, and Happy taking on a certain job from the request board.

Arriving at the mansion, Natsu mentions that it looks like Lucy’s old home. Lucy notes down the similarities and agrees with him. (0:58-1:09)

Entering the mansion, Natsu says that Lucy’s old home was about as big too and she agrees again, feeling nostalgic. (2:11-2:16)

Erza, Wendy, Charle, and Gray compliments the food they all woke up to but Natsu says he feels like he tasted it somewhere before with Happy saying “Me too!” Lucy asks them if that’s true and Erza asks where have they eaten it before. Natsu says he doesn’t know but doesn’t think it was that long ago. (12:28-12:44)

Natsu turns to Gray and ask if he really isn’t the imposter. Lucy considers Gray’s Molding Magic where he could make another master key out of ice and basically sus’ed him out, much to his chagrin and Natsu’s ABSOLUTE delight. (34:02-34:55)

Natsu uses his flames to lead the way as Lucy struggles to keep up. She calls out for him and Wendy but trips and falls, dropping the mirror compact. Natsu goes back to her asking what is she doing, tells her to hurry and get up while giving her compact back. (38:28-38:53)

With the two of them left, Lucy wonders if Natsu really is the culprit after all (LMAO) and Natsu immediately protests. However, he recalls Lucy saying something about the least suspicious being the culprit and wonders if he really is the culprit.  (39:23-39:36)

Natsu figures out who the culprit is and Lucy is surprised he figured it out before her. He says it’s simple enough for an idiot to get and asks Lucy if she hasn’t figured it out yet then does that mean he’s smarter than her? (39:56-40:14)

Lucy gets annoyed at him saying she didn’t expect to hear him say that and adds on that sometimes he acts stupid then smart so she doesn’t get him. (40:15-40:24)

Natsu spills wise words from Makarov that no matter how wise someone is, there will be times when they are stupid and vice versa. He then says he is the least suspicious one and everyone disappeared but he isn’t the culprit, leaving only one answer. Lucy doesn’t get it and Natsu admits he doesn’t fully understand everything but knows who the culprit is and they should go to the Chamber of Mirrors to see. (40:25-40:58)

After confirming she IS the culprit, Lucy mentions Natsu saying he remembers the seasoning of the food earlier because he comes to eat her cooking at her apartment from time to time. (44:45-44:58)

At the very end, Wendy says she had fun with everyone (Team Natsu) in that house, it was like they’ve become a family. Natsu asks what is she talking about because they’ve been a family for a long time now. Lucy seeing all their smiles silently agrees with him, that the guild is their home and wherever their Fairy Tail friends are, that’s their home.  (58:41-59:16)

If sinners were to be bugs/insects etc, which one would they be?

Okay okay okay. This is a really exciting ask, thank you! I did lots of thinking about this one :3

Ish gets a pea leaf weevil. First of all, not biology based, but weevils are generally liked by people on the internet and I like the way they look. Some of pea leaf weevils look kind of ginger too. So that’s a bonus^^ The main thing about this one that it can survive in a lot of places, that little bug is determined to get by and will not be bothered by a simple relocation. I feel like, that kind of goes along with sailing and being on the move, you have to learn to be versatile. But they are known to like dry places, right? Well, my funniest reason to pick this little guy is that a few years back the country was swarmed with articles because uh oh. Turns out they enjoy the sea a lot. And take residence there as well. And if they got some business, they will not stop just because you’re sitting in the way. The seaside is their place, you’re just visiting it 😌😌

Unfortunately, the common pond skater goes to Sinclair. It would make more sense to give that one to Ishmael instead, but I based this one on behaviour only. See, they are just some common little guys, I like them quite a lot. From what I’ve read they move around quite a lot out of fear of being eaten. But, other than being quite frantic and looking harmless, they are uh… well intense. They can bite you and you *will* feel it, I promise. Don’t pick them up, because as scared as they are, they are capable of fighting back if they need to. Plus, just like many other insects, they are partial to things we could consider off-putting such as cannibalism. I picked this species since they remind me of the ‘he’s just a little guy -> oh, he’s a little f-ed up actually” and that fits the vibes I have from him

Meursaul gets a louse. I don’t like them.

After some thought I have to give Outis a giant horsefly. They look chill, many are, based on personal experience it’s very nice to interact with them. But then again, if the female needs it, she’ll bite you. Nothing personal, simple conflict of interest. I feel like that kind of fits with Outis being a bit… suspicious in her intro but they being so patient with Dante (even if it’s not all that genuine). Also I just like those horseflies :3

I see Don as a grasshopper. This one’s fairly easy - she moves around a lot, distinct fair hair (like the grasshoppers signature light green), is easily recognisable. The freaky anatomy and facts are kind of a bonus here. Besides, they are, quite literally, ancient. And Don’s source isn’t all that recent either

With its… quite different name in my native language, the black beauty walking stick just kind of fits Heathcliff. Being named (again, in my language) the devil scare, it’s known for a few things. Of course first and foremost for its intimidation tactics. They look a bit „scary”, at least that’s what I’ve heard people say, and they add to it with their strategy of covering for vulnerability with their scare tactics. Being seen as „fun silly pets” adds to it for me, because from experience I know that the households that do buy them often don’t really see them as like, a „real animal” and they often get treated like toys or reluctant additions to the family. Overall disposable

Based on vibes mostly, Yi Sang is an orchard ermine moth. The colours just make sense for me. Besides, it kind of makes sense from a meta perspective cause their history (the spiecies divide, the unexpected spikes in uneven distribution) is quite interesting and while at first I also looked at Yi Sand as kind of unassuming, the bits of information I have on him now prove me otherwise

Rodya gets desmoxytes purpurosea. It’s a relatively new species, it’s beautiful, popular amongst people. Absolutely amazing. And it smells like almonds. Why? Well, probably due to hydrogen cyanide they produce. Not a surprise considering the hot pink is a pretty good indicator of them being a bit… dangerous to it’s opponents. What girlbosses they are, they get to be cute, hot pink and unassuming AND pretty deadly

Dante gets a summer chafer. Despite being seen as quite useless and a pest, they don’t make much significant damage. Their lifestyle, notably mating, takes quite a toll on their bodies and by the time the female laid eggs a few times (each time the process paired with digging lasts around a day) she passes. They are drawn to light. And look absolutely adorable as a bonus

I wanted to give Ryōshū some sort of a mantis, but I settled on the horrid king assassin bug. This is not a roast, I just think they are and look pretty dangerous while also being damn intimidating. Besides, having a few ways of killing, which makes them more proficient by a long shot, kind of fits in with her whole vibe and the killing thing. I think she would appreciate variety in the craft as well^^

Hong Lu gets the Spiny Flower Mantis. It’s a species well loved and appreciated for their beauty. Look up some pictures, please, they look unreal! The goal is to look similar to flowers. When they feel like they’re in danger, they spread their wings and start flapping them, making the colours on them glimmer. Which I find a bit funny, because it’s also something they do to show off to others. Also having eye-spots kind of sold me on giving it to him, to keep the theme (a lot of art displaying his eyes). They don’t chase after prey, they aren’t known to be a very active species, preferring to sit and wait for things to come to them. Also kind of picky with their living situation, for example they don’t take humidity well in captivity and pretty quickly you will be made aware of that as their home giver

For Faust I settled on a domestic silk moth. They don’t live in the wild since they are pretty important to humans and have been fully domesticated to help out with developing sciences. Mainly, they are tied to research as well as, well, producing silk

Lastly, Gregor. I didn’t want to go for a cockroach, I feel like he gets treated as a vermin enough as is, I really don’t want to perpetuate that (I wouldn’t use ‘cockroach’ as an insult, but he would take it as one, hurtful at that). At first I thought to give him some sort of a beetle. But after thinking more objectively, I settled on a bumblebee. Peaceful, beautiful, soft - overall amazing. Also mostly liked because they are practical to humans, I’m not sure we would like them a whole ton if the argument “don’t kill them, they are useful” didn’t come into play. So that uh… that goes along with certain canon themes. Something something having value if “actual” humans can make use of you. But yeah, well, I don’t want to be all depressing. World cold and hard, bumblebee soft and warm 😌😌

In fact, I feel like the King of Hearts strongly suggests that this is someone you used to be, not who you are now. Definitely on the internet for sure. In the Three of Wands, it shows three little angel babies, and I feel this strongly represents you when it comes to reality shifting. I’m getting the impression that you don’t know where to start, you’re excited, it’s something new, and you feel like you’re everywhere. Just take a deep breath and slooow down.

You are being called to this and are receiving the help and guidance you need to succeed. I feel like this is something you can definitely flourish in, if you are consistent and determined enough. It may be a struggle now, but I know you got this.

In order to allow yourself to succeed more in this though, there is a person you need to let go of. I feel like this person is really confusing you, they are all you are focusing on right now but it’s just really confusing and they are holding you back. I feel like this person shows you one side and then completely flips at a different time. I’m getting like a sweet in private and tense in public type of thing or vice versa. I’m seeing someone sitting in criss cross position, holding their intertwined hands to their chest and then releasing this energy, opening their arms wide to release it into the air. And allowing peace into their hearts. Maybe this is something you do or could do, maybe meditation will help you let go of this confusing person and allow you to move one. Hello pile two, welcome to your reading. Here we have Ace of Hearts, Ace of Swords, and Strength. I’m getting that you all have very reserved personalities, and you are very careful about what you want people to know about you, which is why I’m not getting too much info as I did with the previous pile. And that’s okay! I’m only getting the message that you need to hear, and that’s what is important.

You may be or may have been someone who was very emotional, for some reason I’m hearing “chaotic” but that may not resonate for most of you? We will see. It seems that you were always not sure of yourself, like your actions and I’m getting a lot of self doubt in general. You may have gotten pretty emotional when someone would doubt you and this would kick you down bad. It’s something you definitely relied on. I saw this in like a high school, so maybe you were a teenager when you used to be this way. And this definitely held you back from doing a lot and experiencing a lot. 

There is some sort of gap for me here, like a missing piece of the puzzle. But I feel like you know what I mean when I say that a certain situation made you flip. Maybe you were able to spend more time with yourself alone and this changed you completely and I mean drastically. Like people you knew would be surprised as to who you’ve become. You are more self-assured and confident in yourself. I’m seeing a mirror, so maybe you do affirmations in the mirror that help you move on throughout the day. I’m also seeing make up too, I feel like you just really had a glow up. 

Now you definitely approach things in a different way for sure, but how does all of this fit in with your shifting journey? It could be that this is something you manifested, maybe you shifted to this reality where you were more self-assured, or actually, maybe it is something you want to do. Whichever resonates with you best. 

Whether you have already achieved this growth or are going to, I know that you will turn out to be the best version of yourself. Like the strength card, you have no fear or doubts about anything and approach things in a better way than you did in your past. 

This definitely has a lot to do with your growth than reality shifting, so maybe you are simply taking a break from it in order to work on yourself. To make peace with yourself and this reality that you are in. Maybe you are coming out of the obsessive faze where everything is about reality shifting and constantly hydrating yourself, making tons of scripts, lifa apps and you just ended up tiring yourself out. I get it, I’ve been there too, but being so hyper fixated on shifting will not get you to shift. But you know that ;).

An opportunity either will present itself or has presented itself for you, now whether this has to do with shifting or not, I’m not too sure. It may be a job opportunity that keeps you busy, and with The Star in reverse it seems that this opportunity will come when you are pretty much drained. If it has to do with shifting, you’ll probably get the opportunity to shift when you’re already tired and end up exhausted again. This ties back in to how you used to be, overexerting yourself to the point that you just can’t anymore. 

Don’t do this :(

If this is related to a job, it could be that it’s well paying but you won’t have time to practice what you want to anymore which will leave you drained. Not even enough energy to do your regular routine in the morning, not enough rest to function properly throughout the day. If this happens, please ask yourself, is it really worth it to risk your mental and physical health for a job?

Hello, my wonderful peoples, welcome to your reading. I hope you find today’s pick a pile helpful and that it resonates for you! Let’s get started.

Your cards are Eight of Swords, The Chariot, The Lovers in reverse, Princess of Pentacles (Page) in reverse, Two of Hearts (Cups) in reverse, and The Magician.

I am seeing a theme about love and romance here, but since the two cards are reverse and the Eight of Swords at the start, I want to assume that there was a lover that was holding you back. Perhaps you felt trapped in this relationship, it was something difficult to get out of before you gathered the courage to leave, The Chariot. I feel like for some time you did not trust yourself because of this lover, and maybe you still have a hard time with that. This relationship killed your inspiration.

Something tells me that you used reality shifting as a way to escape from this relationship, but because you felt trapped here, they were holding you back from your true potential. It's possible that you had a few readings and signs before this and now that led you to leave “captivity” is what I’m seeing here. That or it was something you’re considering now, and this is confirmation.

Whichever it may be, it really seems important for you to know that you are very capable of reaching your true potential, you can do many things, it's just something you have to unlock within yourself through a lot of healing and inner work. You can shift, you can astral project and lucid dream. It may sound cheesy, although true, it takes practice and persistence.
