Ghostland 2018 (also known as Incident in a Ghostland) is written and directed by Pascal Laugier. 10 years after making his shocking film Martyrs, you would wonder if he could ever top that?! Well he did and this film is the one that horror fans have been waiting for. And dare I say I loved it more than Martyrs?

Yes I fucking am.

In a crowded genre, you have to watch alot to find a gem these days and this was it for me. It's easily one of my favorite films in the past decade, that's how much I loved it! It was deeply intense, I was on edge watching it the whole time. The acting was superb, the story had a twist I didn't see coming and the psychological mind fuck was spot on. The director definitely has a way of giving you a film that leaves you feeling dirty. He manages to create something that's emotionally distressing, visually brutal and genuinely creepy all in one perfectly well plotted story.

I'm not going to give away much as I think it's better going in not knowing as I did.

But as a forever horror fan, I highly recommend seeing this film. And if you have already, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it😉
