'Trans people are mentally ill' 'Gender is the same as sex'
we're great at opinions here aren't we?
How would you feel if you magically became a girl? According to your biological standards ofc.
Is this the guy that made Sawakita a woman? If so, just know that I'm not scared of you.
also those aren't opinions, those are facts.
In regards to your question, I've heard many other intelligent men discuss it, though I do find a lot of their opinions strange.
Personally, If I turned into a woman, I don't think I'd really care. If it's what God decided for me, it's what God decided for me. Aside from like.. periods there's nothing really negative about being a woman tbh. Even if someone started using 'she/her' for me, the only thing I'd be annoyed abt is the implication that I'm trans. Because I'm not??
I feel the same way about being a man as I do about being a woman. It doesn't really matter does it? How tf do people get 'dysphoria' from that shit anyways???? You just. Have a body. get over it.
#genuinely tho#it's just ur body#why r u so pissed???#It's like getting pissed about having 2 arms instead of 3 or smth#If it doesn't physically hinder you (I mean aside from periods those sound like they suck) what even is the issue??#Then again. RP Anyone?!?!
I am considering opening up my DMs for fandom-themed roleplays, which may help me get in the mood to write again, so if anyone is interested, let me know and I'll get back to you ASAP!
Some of the fandoms/movies I'm willing to RP:
Marvel
Peaky Blinders
OUAT
Sherlock Holmes (RDJ film series)
Shadow and Bone/Six of Crows
The Sandman
Lucifer
The Witcher
Bridgerton
Pirates of the Caribbean
The Princess Bride
Robin Hood Cinematic Universe
The Sound of Magic (K-Drama)
The Mortal Instruments (Movie)
Bullet Train
John Wick (Specifically Chapter 4!)
Ocean's Eight
Shōgun (Modern-ish?)
If there are other fandoms you're into, we can discuss it in DMs.
Please list your age in your bio!!! No exceptions! This keeps everyone safe and automatically sets boundaries for how far you are willing to go when it comes to roleplay, especially when it comes to romance or action aspects of the plot.
Note that my roleplays are always PG-13 at the most regardless of age, which means nothing too explicit or graphic or triggering, but at least this way, I know that you're engaging in fandoms and RPs that are appropriate!
Rule of thumb: If your response isn't something you want your great aunt Betsy to stumble across, then it's probably not suitable for the RP!
Anyway, like I said, if you're interested, feel free to message me and I will get back to you as soon as I can!

HEY CROWLEY! UR INVITED TO THE TWISTED PLAYHOUSE DAYCARE!
JUST WATCH OUT FOR RUGGIE'S KID, ROLLY AND HER CLONES PARTY CANON!
"Ruggie's kid? Ruggie Bucchi? The sophomore?" Crowley gawks, clearly confused.
Ghost Janitor appears to clarify a few things, "Future kids... seems like some sort of time anomaly is happening here? To be fair, I've noticed a lot of anomalies since using this Tumblr device."
"Oh, well... As if trying to find a way to get the Prefect back to their world isn't confusing already... I'm afraid I simply don't have the ti-"
"Considering this time anomaly happening here, I'm sure you could treat this like a vacation without any hinderance to your usual work schedule."
". . . I would graciously accept such a kind offer! There is only one issue, I'm more used to working with older teenagers. I'm not sure about interacting with such young children. Though if you need any help, I'm sure I can spare some of my time to do so!" Crowley, while excited for consequence-free vacations, is not too excited to spend such time potentially babysitting.

Oh! I'm sorry for not explaining; I suppose you're pretty new to this world and the options it gives for transgender folks like you. It's true, hormones can't make your voice higher. But there's a series of guided vocal exercises that are designed specifically to help women like you sound more conventionally feminine!
The downside is that it takes a while, and a lot of effort. And in order to improve, you need to listen to your own voice. Which, ironically, might make you feel worse. Transition is something that's personal to you, and there's no singular right way to do it. Still, please keep it in mind.
Where might I find these exercises? What library must I venture to in search of this new skill?
Even should the cost be great, I have time unlimited and am well accustomed to the particular pain of this existence. I can cast illusions of my sister's voice if I really must, but such is difficult in daily speech and reservèd I keep that skill for the guidance of Undead through a programmed image. To achieve a similar sound without magic seemeth unthinkable, yet this world is filled with wonders. I am here to learn all that I can, and this shall be no different.
#pokeblog rp#pokeblogging#pokemon irl#rotomblr#ooc: trans voice training is SO hard and you're absolutely right that I can't fucking listen to my own voice even after doing it#ooc: it never sounds right no matter how much my voice coach told me she thought I sounded like a cis woman#ooc: I also learned that the slight speech impediment my parents put me in speech therapy for in elementary school never actually went away#ooc: which makes it vastly harder still to listen to recordings of myself because it sounds wrong regardless of the genderedness#ooc: I've been incomprehensible to everyone for decades and nobody bothered to tell me#ooc: the real problem is that it's not possible to share the qualia of a cis woman hearing her own voice as she speaks#ooc: like with the bone conduction to the ears and everything#ooc: there's no way to give someone else the knowledge of what it feels like from the inside; to know if I'm replicating it or not#ooc: I hope Gwyndolin can push through it all because I'd rather just use magic to overlay a cis voice while pretending to speak

WISH I WAS THERE...
as river enters the law firm, they are rewarded with the calming wave of nothing. the usual thrum of anger and disappointment from the cars, the usual hum of despair from nearby hospitals, the semi-typical happiness or contentedness of their neighbors, it all went away when they were in establishments like these. less people around. more control.
they first waved to the secretary of the little place, flashing their mesa id. something about an erratic witness needing some calming. or maybe the lawyers were losing their mind...wouldnt be the first time.
once they make it past, river ties their hair into a ponytail, smoothing out their suit. they sigh, taking a sip of their now-cold coffee, before they clear their throat, knocking on the door to the office.

I love love love that we're in an age of welcoming and inclusivity when it comes to TTRPG games, as a weird loud nerd girl who could not find a goddamn table in her small mid-west hometown. Seriously.
But the current discourse, for D&D at least, seems to be having a really reactionary hate-on against people who like to play with a more strict rules-as-written style, dismissing such folk as gate-keepy.
I've got the Covid, so I'm honestly not sure what I'm trying to say here exactly, but as a "rules make games more fun" sort of nerd: Hey friends, there's tables for all of us, let's not harsh on other people's play styles.
#5e#I've been binging fantasy high on d20 and did a quick google to see if anyone else howling over the concentration check situation#anyway it was the internet so people on both sides got way too mean#like I'm the type of person who hears that a first time player shouldn't go full spellcaster to learn on and picks druid#because magic rules plus wild shape soundes like fun to chew on#honestly my current table is very chill and rules light#and I have a good time by just holding myself to a very strict standard#like another player doesn't really understand spell slots at level 10#but they love the rp#so whatevs#makes me nervous to start dming tho

A brow raised, but he could tell by the expression and the laugh he was being facetious. He exhales his amusement once through his nose with a wider smile. "Bit further east, I think." Not that he was sure where Jersey was on a map. But it was a place in the states, probably near New York (one of the few states he knew offhand), since the few times he was there he'd usually heard some grumble about the place.
"Ireland." He adds after a moment, though he refrains from the specifics. Most wouldn't know what he'd mean, but it felt... safer, not to be specific either way. "Suppose yer not wrong on t'south, though."
Another beat and he speaks again. He's asking about him, he should-- probably also do that. "What about yerself? Y'from here?"
Jonas gave a laugh that was a touch self-conscious and his eyes crinkled up in amusement. " I'll take it, since you were nice enough to give it to me, " he said cheerfully. " Sorry, sorry I wasn't trying to embarrass you or anything! So anyways what's with your accent? It's really nice by the way. Lemme guess uhhhhh..."
He made an exaggerated show of thinking, folding one arm under the other and tapping the side of his head, with one eye shut and the tip of his tongue stuck out of the corner of his mouth. Then he snapped his fingers.
" Gotta be South Jersey right? Ehehe..."

THE ENTIRE DRAGON AGE AMA IS A DUMPSTER FIRE
They avoided all the high-rated questions with genuine criticism (not blind hate!) and went for questions that were safer and allowed them more leeway. After that awful IGN article and that treatment of Davrin...God, just put it down. I have no faith that BioWare will be able to continue Dragon Age or Mass Effect with the respect it deserves.
Edit - They had an opportunity for genuine discussion with fans who were concerned/unhappy with the way Veilguard was -> people unhappy with the story, the marketing, the lack of 'RP' options in an RPG, etc... Instead they just doubled-down even more, avoiding those critical questions, with no real acknowledgement that fans have very reasonable problems with this game.
Some Highlights & My Initial Ramblings Below:
The Executors
"They attempt to manipulate events in the most subtle way they can manage."
So, very clear that they're not simply observers of what is happening in Thedas: they're manipulators...
"Magical Illuminati Confirmed! Lizard People Did 9:30 Dragon!!!!"
All that complexity of character -> his hatred of Orlais, his experience as a general, his relationship with Cailain, and the influence of Howe...all diminished. Any influence from a shadow cabal is too much influence - all the humanity of Loghain's choices/consequences...God, what a waste.
Not to mention what this does to other events/characters in the series -> they imply they've been intervening as far back as the magisters breaking into the golden city. I do not find this compelling! At all!
2. Solas and the Executors
Oh my god, he sounds like such a fucking Mary-Sue I'm so sick of Solas at this point -> "Actually, I know more about the Executors than anyone alive - not even the rest of the Gods know as much as me."
("I'm also, like, an Ancient Elven God, I'm responsible for the Blight and the Veil, and I kind of locked the Gods away cause they were evil - but, like, I'm really sad about it. Also the Herald of Andraste thinks I'm cute <3")
<- Previous comments: massive oversimplification, obviously
But I miss the days when not everything was about Solas. It removes so much interest and wonder in this world when the fucking egg is behind it all. I loved him as a character in DAI and now I just feel this bone deep tiredness when I see his stupid face.
Don't you dare threaten to bring Gareth David-Lloyd back -> keep him away from this mess!
3. The Fate of the Rest of the Evanuris
Yay. I'm so looking forwards to "The Return of the Elves: Electric Boogaloo 2" - it was done so well the first time!
"It was the elves all along!"
The only character with any potential to be interesting is Andruil*, but how they handled all this lore was done so shallowly and so poorly that I find it hard to give a damn anymore. Not to mention that the game literally mentions Ghilan'nain mourning Andruil - so is this a retcon/redirection/or have you confirmed that one of the most interesting members of the Evanuris' is dead?
*interesting in that she's established in lore to potentially have a tonne of really cool things attached to her (the void armour, the great weapon she has etc...). The rest of the evanuris are nowhere near as well established as she is.
4. Southern Thedas, Sociopolitical Issues, and Future Games
NOW YOU WANT TO INCORPORATE GEO-POLITCAL EXPLORATION?? You avoided any meaningful discussion like the plague in DATV but now you're acknowledging it?? OkaY. okAy.
They couldn't even give us the long-term ramifications of the mage/templar war how the hell am I supposed to believe that they will be able to pull off 'elven gods are real' etc...? For a game series that totes : your choices matter -> they have not proven that they have been able to show that in a meaningful way. They literally cleaned the slate with this game to avoid doing that.
So, what, does that mean that the Veil is never going to come down now? Or are you going to have the entirety of Thedas build themselves up again just to have the Veil fall and send things into chaos once more?
What a fatalistic, miserable outcome for Thedas -> why the fuck would anyone bother to live in Thedas if you're going to keep throwing meteorites at them? By all means, change/conflict has to happen for the series to move forwards...but this is just so miserable at this point.
(The Elder Scrolls, at least, gives people room to breathe between crisis' or sets them up in different areas of the world! Bethesda treats past installments/your decisions with greater respect than DATV does.)
Even, then, if the Veil remains up, that means that the spirits are just trapped in the Fade being miserable for the rest of existence. The entire series has been humanizing spirits, from Justice to Cole, and now they're just throwing in the towel? I guess they can stay in the fade now! Problem solved!
What do you mean the Evanuris are not a threat anymore? IN A PREVIOUS QUESTION YOU LITERALLY SAID SOME ARE STILL POTENTIALLY KICKING AROUND THE BLACK CITY?
Weakened, sure, but Solas was 'weak' in DAI. You're giving yourself an out if you decide to go back to the elves again. Please do, I'd love more content on how the elves alone fuck everything up!
5. More Southern Thedas, the Chantry, and Tevinter
Thanks for the confirmation that things in the South are so fucked up that they have to work alongside the 'Slave Capital' of the known world to rebuild!
Slavery was one of the biggest things that caused a rift between the north/south chantry system -> one of the reasons why there were exalted marches -> a uniting belief in the south is that slavery is fucked. They didn't address slavery in DATV - what hopes are there that they will do so effectively in a future game?
Don't tell me that Dorian fixes everything off screen either -> either he solves slavery off-screen or the south is being forced to work the slaver-capitol because their land is nuked and they have no ground to stand on.
I'm so thrilled.
6. Solas and the Idol / The Blight
I will never get over Solas fucking curing the Blight off-screen and no one asking questions/giving a shit. Hello?? The Hero of Ferelden would like a word with you???
So the Blight is calcified in Minrathous, at least, but everywhere further away is still fucked! Once more, the South is doomed to suffer from the long-term effects that regular blights have -> not to mention the red lyrium (which still exists according to the AMA) across the south.
I don't care; it's lame. It's a lame way to conclude the blight and I hate it. This game did not earn 'cure the blight from thedas' at all. You could have had us learn how to soothe a titan and see how that can diminish the blight but you did it this way.
Another 'magical ritual' because Solas has such a good track record with them lmao.
7. The Agents of Fen'Harel / The War with the Qun / The Crows
Turned him against the idea of being a leader???!!
Fen'harel's Call to the Elven People After the events at the Winter Palace, elves left the Inquisition under mysterious circumstances, as did elven servants across Thedas. None could say where they went, but those who believed the Inquisitor's story about Fen'Harel wondered just how large the Dread Wolf's forces were... and what the ancient elven rebel had planned. This is from the Trespasser Epilogue, Epler!
Your concept art for Joplin literally had him as a leader of a faction of elves. Just be honest that it's a retcon and you changed course - don't try to save face with this reasoning.
About the Antaam: "We needed some big mindless bad guys to fight and so we did this because we didn't want to address the Qunari War/Invasion we set up in Trespasser".
You had to canonize Sten as being alive and Arishok in order for this reasoning to work -> you didn't even come up with an alternative Arishok to take Sten's place.
Yeah, the exchange that set up the Crows we see in the game as "idealists" did not make the game. I can confirm that!
I'm sorry, "Caterina kept Illario in check?" as in, 'kept him an idealist and not the usual Crow'? The woman that beat him with a cane and starved him and his cousin to train them as Crows. Fuck off.
lmao -> tell me you're coming up with this on the spot without telling me that you're coming up with this on the spot.
8. World State Discrepancies - Isabela
Outright ignores the very real criticism about the marketing from this game and World States.
"there are absolutely places where we unintentionally suggested there was a hard canon (...that Isabela is always assumed to have joined Hawke's party.)"
Unintentional?
Excuse me, you have her talk about Merrill and the Kirkwall Crew as family - that was not unintentional in the slightest. Not to mention Sten, Blackwall, Sera, and Cole are canonized as being part of your world state no matter what.
You had a story you wanted to tell - one that only fit a few world states - and you went ahead with it and disregarded those choices. Don't try and lie about this all being a big misunderstanding.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit - They could have taken the opportunity to address the very reasonable criticisms that people had with this game but they cherry-picked questions and avoided/minimized anything remotely critical.
They could have provided us some insight into the game development time but each time they approached the topic they settled for "we're happy with what we delivered and it was well optimized."
They had an opportunity to acknowledge that people were bothered by the handling of the lore/stories (to potentially mention they could course-correct/ rethink their plans) but instead they doubled down on everything that they did and even 'justified' some decisions. They doubled down on the Executors, Solas's changing motivations, the destruction of Southern Thedas, and the elves/Solas being at the heart of everything etc...
This AMA basically confirmed that the only reason they did what they did to the south was for a reset -> It's not a compelling or fulfilling narrative to have everything we've done reset back to ground zero off-screen. BioWare games differentiate themselves from other RPG's by their import system from previous games - it was compelling and exciting! With DATV they set the expectation that BioWare can outright throw out entire games worth of choices/build up, not solely retcon them.
Justifying your choice to water down the lore/world of your story by saying you'll address it in the 'next game' does not instill me with confidence, BioWare! It doesn't explain that lack of it in this game either!
They avoided every question that, rightfully so, pointed out the misleading comments made by devs in the pre-order period of the game:
the fact that there were only 3 imported choices from previous games was leaked by a reviewer -> BioWare was vague from the start about choices
that this game was the most 'romantic' in the series
that world states/ headcanons wouldn't be disrespected
that there are 'lore' reasons for bad darkspawn design
that there are lasting, impactful choices/consequences to be made in this game
that the lore/world was not watered or toned down
that companions are deep and you can disagree with them etc...
BioWare's behavior towards their customers in the lead up period to this games release was downright scummy. I absolutely felt misled after playing the game for myself and recalling what I read in interviews put out. While EA is undoubtedly poison, you can't hold them solely accountable for this.
I feel for the individual developers who worked on this in what was undoubtedly a toxic environment from EA - but I feel that it's pretty clear that BioWare itself has a lot of problems within and in their leadership/executives. Working for EA does not give them an excuse to mislead their customers.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I already had a very grim outlook on the franchise from the end of DATV but this literally look my interest out the back and sent it to God. What a disaster.
#what a dumpster fire#I thought it would be bad but not this bad#obviously don't attack devs! no one deserves to be harassed or anything - bioware as a studio is not in a good place imo#if you like it then I'm glad but this series is going in a direction that has absolutely no appeal to me :/#its just such a grim way to end the series - with everything blighted and ruined#this game feels like it punishes me for caring about the world they created#that IGN interview was awful too - how did anyone think it would help their public perception???#the lore and story has absolutely been ruined by the game#epler that was a godawful take on davrin - that needed to be clarified way clearer#does bioware's pr office hate them? is this some internal fuckery?? lmao#edit - my bafflement has died down and I can add some more critical thoughts about what they could have taken this AMA opportunity to do#I've loved this series for around 12-13 years now and its just sad that its ending this way for me :(#datv spoilers#datv critical#dragon age the veilguard#bioware critical#veilguard critical

I am devastated that I don’t have any friends that listen to Worlds Beyond Number, because the new episode (ep 33 The Witness) is the single best episode of a ttrpg actual play I think I’ll ever see (figuratively, because it’s a podcast).
The insane amount of trust between all of them to be able to let loose on each other’s characters in such an (understandably) volatile way was just awe inspiring. It evoked so much feeling, and such complex feelings. The characters are having a rough time (understatement) and to finally have the horrible emotional catharsis of release was horrible and beautiful. It had the vibe of ‘my parents are fighting’ in all the right ways.
Also the sound design was phenomenal. Taylor worked some kind of magic with all of the details, and (vague spoilers) Suvi’s identify spell was such an amazing experience to hear. It almost felt like the magic of seeing the scene in the boat from the old Charlie and the chocolate factory movie, just a torrent of feelings and sounds.
@quiddie’s rp was breathtaking. Literally, I had chest pain from how stressed I was (affectionate). Suvi is the most intricately complex character I’ve ever had the pleasure to obsess over and I adore her because of how humanly real she feels.
I literally don’t have the words to explain how much I loved this episode. This image just about sums it up.

Ps, I’ve watched all d20 seasons and some other stuff and don’t think I’d ever heard Lou raise his voice seriously before (“you lied” from Ravening War is the closest but that didn’t have the same vibe because it was about being slammed down big style) and I fully put my hand over my mouth like a shocked Victorian woman. God, they’re all just such good actors, storytellers, improvisers aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Do you think Dream would ever try to hide that he had a seizure because maybe he feels like hes burdening them or maybe hes just too anxious about it? If so how would that mix with possessive techza?
big brain prompt.
/dsmp /rp
-----
Dream was pushing a wheelbarrow of hay when he felt the warning signs of a seizure.
Philza called it the "aura" of the seizure-- the numbness, mild twitching, and fuzz that gathered at the edge of his vision before the stronger spasms hit. Dream thought it was a stupid fucking name. "Aura" made it sound like something spiritual and magical rather than what it was: an inconvenience. He just seized yesterday. They usually came in bursts, but this was getting ridiculous.
Techno was loading hay into the sheep's feeder, and Dream was bringing him more. Trying to bring him more. They were already behind on their chores because his body was so uncooperative, and the thought of causing even more trouble made red rise to his face, even despite the chilly air that bit at him. Techno and Philza made him swear to announce if he ever felt the aura, but...
He abandoned the wheelbarrow and dragged his body to the goat pen, where the wall was just tall enough to hide him when he dropped to the floor. His thigh muscles twitched and he couldn't feel his fingers beneath his gloves. If he could just withstand the worst of it, he could go back to the wheelbarrow and pretend nothing happened. He would not be an inconvenience again.
His left elbow twitched backwards and hit the wall with a thud. He moved away from it a few inches. With any luck, Techno wouldn't notice the wheelbarrow standing alone in the middle of the barn.
The spasms spread to his left shoulder, and it tensed until he could hardly handle the pain, his arm straightening against his will--
"Dream?" he heard Techno say--
and when he next knew it, he was in the cabin, stripped of his jacket and gloves, but still comfortingly warm.
"-- there." Phil's voice became clearer and less muffled. As his eyes focused, Dream could make out the worried expression on his face. He felt a towel rub at his chin, whipping away a trail of spit. "There you are. You're alright, love, relax."
Dream managed a pained grunt. His whole body ached. He felt he might drop from exhaustion before he realized he was already laying down, on the floor of the living room with the fireplace nearby. The light from the flame flickered at the side of his vision, and he felt he might vomit.
"You're okay, you're okay. That might've been the worst one yet, mate."
Dream realized, distantly, that he was grabbing the edge of Phil's sleeve. He was usually conscious during seizures-- the gap in his memory was frightening.
Techno came into focus as he knelt by Phil's side, holding something in his hands. Another towel, maybe, or a blanket. "He was hidin' from me, Phil."
"What?"
With a pang of guilt, Dream met Phil's eyes, hoping his expression conveyed his apology even if he couldn't find his voice.
"He was hidin' behind the goat pen. He said he'd get more hay and he just left the wheelbarrow and hid."
Phil had something akin to legitimate fear on his face. His brows were furrowed, his skin paled. He searched Dream's face for several long moments before pulling him into a tight embrace.
"Why wouldn't you tell us?"
When the embrace tightened, Dream realized that Techno also wrapped his arms around the two of them, his size making it a simple task.
"I-- I thought--" He scanned his half-scrambled thoughts for an excuse. A lie. Anything that might be acceptable. He found nothing. "We were already behind--"
Offended, both Techno and Phil spoke at the same time. Phil said something like "We have all the time in the world," while Techno, frustration clear in his voice, said "Dude, the sheep can wait! It's not worth it!"
Phil pulled away and looked Dream in the face, a newfound determination on his face. "You were supposed to tell us if you felt it start."
"I know," Dream said.
Phil sighed. Wiped a strand of hair out of Dream's face. "Alright. If I can't trust you to alert us, you'll be spending your nights with one of us. Or both of us. No more sleeping alone-- we can't risk it. Am I clear?"
Techno nodded in firm agreement with his partner. Dream nodded in turn, knowing better than to fight their decision.
---
The guest room of the cabins, despite holding most of Dream's belongings, was empty at night. They no longer lit candles, no longer kept the door closed so it would heat faster, and no longer bothered washing the sheets. It was never occupied, after all. Dream spent his nights in either Techno or Philza's bed-- usually both of them-- pressed against the warm skin of an immortal who would wake at the slightest thrashing and sacrifice anything to keep him safe. Including, it seemed, Dream's own privacy.
He would admit that the warmth of extra bodies was comfortable.
#and that's how dream lost his right to sleep alone#asks#drabbles#possessive!techza#doomsdaytrio#dreblr

Huh?! She's wrong? But so close?
Ink listened to the other before she was in awe seeing his hand waved around and slipped it back through, demonstrating his ability. The man told her the correct answer making Ink stare more dumbfounded at him.
An ability. A space splicer and manipulator? He can use anything from his cape as a pocket dimension. Creating portals to send people and for travel.
Doesn't that sound like magic!?' Ink thought. When the other shows what magic is. She saw him hovering in the air. Ink goes to walk around him and touches what's below him to see if there's something he can stand on. "Wait a second! You said you do that space splicer and controlling thing. Can you use space to lift yourself up?!" She said
"And the way you said it. How is it not magic if you can splice space or something? What's the difference?" Ink asked.
"Bzzt~! WRONG WRONG WRONG~! Good guess though~! You were SOOOO close~!" His hand waved around and he slipped it back through, returning to his side. "It's actually my ability that I can do such things~! I am a space splicer and manipulator~! I can do anything from use my cape as a pocket dimension, to creating portals and sending people elsewhere~! I can also travel using my cape and go long distances~!" he explained to the girl.
"Now if you want to see magic, I can do that too~!" He picked his feet up off the ground, both feet, and hovered in the air. "Go ahead and check around me, you'll find no trickery~! This is MAGIC~!"
#rp#ic#lol ink is like: So it is magic. what you said sounds like magic about splicing space! what do you mean it isn’t magic?! What the heck? DX#clowndemon#vaninkthedragon

i'm intrigued by the ghost revenant girl and chimeragirl ocs you mentioned. they sound cool, can you say something more about who they are?
sure! they're all ocs from NTHBD, a collaborative original fiction rp setting i joined and contributed to along with some friends which, in broad strokes, is set in a fictional underworld-esque location known as "the nether" (of no relation to the minecraft domain), where the living, the dead, the neither, and the mythical and strange live side-by-side.
raz and shevaun are voidsouls, which are essentially revenant dead that spawn in the nether as a kind of afterlife, usually as a result of a traumatic and untimely death. they're tangible, so not exactly ghosts, though they bear some similarities. they can also be killed again, though usually not permanently - if they suffer mortal injury or illness, they'll disintegrate upon death and "respawn", usually where they first appeared. they can't use magic, unlike some inhabitants of the nether, and any nether inhabitant that returns as a voidsoul after death loses any magical ability they might have had. raz and shevaun were both regular humans before death, though, so they're not missing out on anything in that department.
raz is a former internet personality (some combination of streamer and youtuber) focusing on the occult and paranormal. she's a trans woman, and only started transitioning after death and some time to come to terms with certain realisations. the appearance of a voidsoul reflects how they perceive themself, so as raz's understanding of her identity changes, so does her appearance to match, which is pretty neat. raz had a pretty rough childhood, with her parents having been indoctrinated into a cult where she herself was abused and groomed by the leader, who developed a fixation with her, and was liberated from in her mid teens, resulting in her being forced to rapidly come to terms with much that she'd missed while being cut off from the outside world, including basic schooling and sociocultural norms, which she's privately rather insecure about. she's fairly laid-back, but this is a result of her anhedonic, traumatised nature rather than genuine placidity. she's charismatic and attractive, which leads to people tending to become obsessed with her on a shallow surface level, which she secretly dislikes, but isn't above exploiting. she has a cruel streak, and doesn't mind hurting people to get what she needs. annie is one of the few people who sees her as a person and is still devoted to her, and raz just straight up doesn't care that annie is a terrible person, or rebuke her frequently unsuccessful attempts to be more than a monster, which is why they get along so well. raz died by suicide, and still carries that passive suicidal ideation with her in death, so she doesn't really understand why annie is so passionate about not letting her get killed again, and slightly resents his protectiveness of her when it gets him hurt, even though she appreciates his concern for her dignity.
shevaun is also a former public figure; a political journalist to be specific. they were shot and killed with extreme prejudice by an unknown assailant; they covered a lot of controversial topics, so it could have been almost anyone on the political spectrum. her appearance often reflects this - voidsouls experience something known as "traumatic recall" where, when stressed, they begin to manifest the wounds and general appearance of their state of death (to the point that they can be cut off mid-conversation with you by having their jaw ripped off, or water from when they drowned flooding their lungs and rising in their throat to spill from their lips, or something like that). shevaun is a lot more neurotic and anxious and insecure than raz, so they have a tendency to literally "lose face" (well, a chunk of it that was blown off by the bullet that got her in the head, to be specific) while attempting to socialise or assert themself. she's understandably pretty freaked out about this. she hasn't adjusted well to the nether at all, and tends to respond to the entire thing with the attitude of someone who sees any discomfort as an inconvenience, and is easy to rile up, which makes her the object of a lot of people's ridicule (though less now that they're travelling around with vacille).
annie is a chimera by birth, being what's known as an "ideolite" - the hybrid offspring of a titan (often based on mythical figures; a long-lived, powerful species that populates the nether, sometimes worshipped as deities, but not inherently divine) and any other species. annie is the daughterson of lamia, a titan with the lower body of a snake and upper body of a beautiful woman, cursed with an insatiable hunger she can never fill, which tends to lead to her losing focus and devouring both her mates and her young. annie is one of her few surviving children, as lamia gave him up to her human partner's family to raise after eating him out of some inscrutable motivation (she doesn't appear to feel guilt). annie has some pretty understandable issues and psychological complexes about being related to a legendary figure known exclusively for relentlessly, indiscriminantly fucking and killing, particularly as she matures and develops more chimeric traits and grows to resemble her mother. unlike lamia, however, annie's chimera parts are draconic, and cancerous - he grows excess clawed limbs and dragon heads like tumours along the length of his serpentine lower body, which is in fact a stress response to his concerns about being perceived as weak and incapable of protecting the things and people he loves. annie is utterly besotted with raz and fiercely devoted to her. the two met when annie was a gladiator/pit fighter, and annie left that life behind to pursue one with raz.
vacille is a manticore, and not a born chimera, but stitched together from experimental magic. she was a regular mostly-human native to the nether, a general in the army of a now-extinct imperial power, before she was captured and made a prisoner of war, and fashioned into a weapon (don't feel too bad for her, she tortured and pillaged and did all the horrifying, ugly things that people at war feel entitled to in her service, while hypocritically punishing those whose behaviour she found too obscene). she spent several years being used as a beast of battle (and degraded as no more than an animal) before freeing herself and roaming wildly, alternately attempting to ingratiate and redeem herself in various small communities in fits of guilt and well-intentioned restitution, only to swing to savagely destroying everything around her when betrayed, or when the people she had managed to find kindness and belonging with were attacked by neighbouring communities or fell to infighting, and in her attempts to punish the perpetrators and protect her people, she exposed herself as a monster and failed to find respect in either the eyes of those she wanted to save, or those she wanted to strike fear in. she initially came across shevaun during one of her rampages and was prevented from crushing them like a bug by the way they addressed their grievances with her as if she were a person rather than a dangerous animal, essentially attempting to debate her into submission. shevaun, for their part, did this as a fear response to being completely defenceless in the face of a raging manticore and having no weapons or experience with them. vacille decided to keep her around as an amusing plaything, initially as a hostage, but shevaun was so annoying that she ended up stuck with them as much as they were with her (since they took advantage of vacille's intimidation factor to avoid various unfortunate situations), and they sorta mutually stockholm syndromed each other into a relationship.

Magic Anons cause I miss 'em
No time conditions added for flexibility with RP styles. Make some crack, do some full threads, keep it contained to asks, whatever your heart desires. Feel free to add specifics to any M!A or leave the details for the receiver to decide! If something already applies to a muse, the M!A can make the opposite occur instead.
Physically Transform the Muse!
Thumbelina: Muse shrinks in size
Maximize: Muse increases in size
So... fluffy?: Muse turns into an animal
Mechanize: Organic muses become machines or vice versa
Fangs: Muse turns into a monster from folklore, pop culture, etc
Wait a sec: Muse is stuck looking like a different character
Afterlife: Character turns into a ghost or other undead entity
Not an anime: Character gets animal traits (cat ears, dog tail, wings, etc), but otherwise maintains their normal appearance
Scenario Makers!
Mortality: Muse becomes mortal or immortal (whichever is opposite for them)
Powerless: Muse loses one, several, or ALL of their major abilities/skills/etc
That's new: Muse temporarily gains a new power/ability/trait
Senses: Muse loses a major sense or gains one they don't normally have
Wrong Edition: Muses powers are now the opposite (fire = water, etc)
Trade me: Asker and receiver swap something (powers, appearance, etc)
(Un)mute: Muse can't speak (or can, if they normally can't)
Rewind: Muse reverts to a past version of themselves
Fast Forward: Muse becomes a potential future version of themselves
Sneak Peak: Muse witnesses a snippet of a future event without context (get creative with the method)
Another life: Muse swaps places with an AU version of themselves
Mirror: Muse's usual personality shifts (friendly muses are aggressive, shy characters are outgoing, etc)
Under the weather: Something is wrong with the muse and they can't seem to recover (a cold? something more sinister?)
Jinxed: Muse is suffering from a string of bad luck or misfortune
Two Truths and a Lie: Muse can only lie or only tell the truth (whichever sounds more fun <3)
Amnesia: Muse has lost some or all of their memory

Honestly I think Bad and the Late Night Trio is my favorite dynamic that's come out of the QSMP.
And I'm not just talking about qBad, Dapper, Pomme and Richas I'm also talking about ccBad, Dappmin, Pommin and Ricardão.
It's just the little things they do, because they're just so used to each other by now and the adms have become such good friends because of the amount of time they spend together on and off the server.
There's just so many examples that stick in my head because they're just so sweet when you realize that none of this people knew each other this time last year.
Like the time when Richas just showed up in front of Bad randomly one day after the reset (the day that Dapper set up the magnet mining machine) and just went;
"Dapper told me through the magic of discord to come see the cool stuff you've been doing, what am I here to see tio?"
Or when Bad and Dapper were out investigating and Dapper puts down a sign saying;
"Richas won't stop telepathically asking if he can come visit."
To which Bad just offhandedly replies
"If he can Dragon Magic his way here then sure, but I am not walking all the way home already."
And sure enough, a few minutes later we hear Richas' horn sound out as he appears out of the blue, having finally been given permission by Dappmin to join their exploration
Not to mention the amount of times we've arrived and been told by Bad; "So heres what [Richas or Pomme or Dapper or any combination of those 3] and I did off stream. "
Or "No Richas I'm not leaving I'm just sending the Ghosties off."
Or when Bad was attempting to figure out how to bribe Richas into keeping his armour on in Lucky Ducks by figuring out what he loved the most before going
"If you don't put your armour on I'll take away fofoca time."
And then explained to the chat that 'fofoca time' is what Richas calls it when he and Bad hang out after stream and that got Richas to put his armour on immediately.
Or even today when Bad threatened to end stream in order to make Richas use a heart container.
Not to mention the night Pommin and Ricardão spent with ccBad training him in battleship before that day in Purgatory 2 or the night they spent modifying the egg signs together.
My favorite example of how close they are even outside of their characters will still forever be the night when Bad, Richas and Pomme were collecting ice together to cover the favela ocean and Ricardão and Pommin were very obviously sat in a vc together while the mined.
They spent a while teaching Bad and the other how to pronounce certain sounds in their native languages.
Then Richarlyson asked Bad about a sound he struggled with in English so Bad taught Ricardão how to make the 'th' sound in the English language correctly while Pommin judged the noise they were making because Bad obviously couldn't hear.
Then later Bad asks Pomme where Richas went since he wasn't visible on the map and she just stands there before telling him that she knows the location and taking him to the exact coordinates.
And they do that a couple times until Bad finally decides to sneak up on Richas and scares Ricardão so bad that he stops moving completely in game for a solid minute and Pommin is just keyboard smashing on signs because she's laughing too hard at how loudly they screamed.
And then Ricardão had to go afk for a couple minutes later on because someone had come to check on them since they'd screamed so loud so early in the morning and they had to tell them that they were, in fact, fine.
Sure right now the way they interact with each other definitely slightly breaks Bad's rp of not knowing each other, especially with Richas.
But at the end of the day when they hang out together it's not just qBad and Richarlyson, it's also Ricardão & ccBad who have spent a frankly ridiculous amount of hours playing together in the less than a year they've known each other (not counting the time Ricardão admitted to being a fan of BBH for).
In fact Ricardão confirmed to Foolish today that since the reset they're the player with the second highest playtime, after Bad, but only by a little bit, and I just think that's very fitting.
Long story short, I LOVE the late night trio and Bad's dynamic because they're just such a chaotic mess who are all willing to do anything and everything that one of them wants to do, no matter how ridiculous it sounds.
It's soooooooo hard to believe they've not even known each other for a year yet because they just all click so fucking well that it's insane.
People from 4 different nationalities, 3 of them playing speechless eggs, and they've become so close thanks to this server. I just think it's beautiful :')
(It is also 3am so I may just be rambling nonsense, so if this makes no sense forgive me xD)

Wandlore for Ekko and Jinx
Specifically, I like Harry Potter for the worldbuilding---and the wandlore (study of wands)---not so much the events of the books.
On my old RP forum I went through an entire process of researching the wandlore to tell my friends what their wands would be. It was about several days of research.
Last year I did the same thing again for a newer group of friends, and then their OCs. And I miss doing that, and I still have all this knowledge, and apparently I was so good they started calling me Jay Ollivander Strun.
It was a lot of fun, and I still have all this useless knowledge laying around. I'm gonna tackle main universe Ekko and Jinx here, and provide background context for the decisions I'm making with them!
⏳⏳⏳⏳
Ekko: Applewood with unicorn hair core, 13 1/4" unyielding flexibility
Why applewood?
So applewood wands are powerful and very-well suited to an owner of high aims and ideals, and it mixes very, VERY poorly with Dark magic.
Owners of applewood wands are also well-loved and long-lived, and we ALL know Ekko is at least one of those 😉
Ollivander's personal notes indicate a consistent trait of applewood wand owners having great personal charm and high likeability.
There's also an unusual pattern of applewood wand owners being able to communicate with magical creatures in their native tongue (like merpeople) nd I KNOOOOOOW Ekko would have that. My heart KNOWS it.
And Unicorn hair core wands are the most faithful of all wand cores, and the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are also prone to melancholy if mishandled---the hair might 'die' and need replacing.
Unyielding flexibility
For Ekko, the best fit in regards to flexibility is Unyielding.
Wands of unyielding flexibility choose for themselves wizards and witches of well-defined principles they will never stray from. The owners of these wands are intelligent, somewhat cynical and confident.
These wands excel in combative AND healing magic, finely tuning themselves to their original owner's preferences and never changing for anyone.
Any of that sound at all familiar? Heh. It's basically Ekko to a T really. Aspects of the wood will balance out some of the extremes, and the core being Unicorn makes this a very strong, very LOYAL wand that will never stray into the Dark Arts.
Ekko
💣💣💣💣
Jinx: Sycamore wood with dragon heartstring core, neat-and-slender 13 1/2" quite flexible flexibility
Why Sycamore wood?
Sycamore is a wood that is eager and hungry for new experiences. It can get 'bored' if locked in to mundane activities and may even combust if allowed to get 'bored' and really doesn't that sound exactly like Jinx?
Additionally on its own, sycamore thrives when the owner is curious, adventurous and full of life. The wand would have an ability to adapt and learn at an exceptional pace, its owner a creator or innovator.
Paired with a core of dragon heartstring and it would make for a wand best suited to someone like Jinx; innovative, spontaneous, flamboyant and brilliant.
As an added fun quirk, dragon heart string wands are most prone to accidents and are somewhat temperamental, so imagine a scenario wherein Jinx has become stuck and unable to change or adapt, perhaps in a study rut where the humdrum tasks are all she can bring herself to do. And suddenly her wand starts burning and smoking and she's freaking out? So much fun to be had there.
An intelligent and lively wand for an intelligent and lively personality, a charms extraordinaire and pranking master the likes of Fred and George Weasley.
Quite flexible flexibility
A wand of this flexibility: will typically reject owners it considers restrictive and/or boring; is good for transfiguration, spell crafting, healing magic, and curses; and in the hands of a skillful and energetic sort will become the master of whatever the owner desires.
Owners of the wand are typically characterized as 'very indecisive' but it's noted that they often have a few principles they believe very strongly in.
And doesn't that all sound like a perfect match for Jinx? You can call her many things but restrictive and boring are NOT among them. Her wand feeds into her Jinx persona but there's that strong undercurrent of Powder in there; a vital and adventurous sort that yearns for the next big adventure or idea. The girl always looking at the horizon for what comes next, and eager to set out and meet it.
Fun extra fact you might've noticed: Ekko is taller than Jinx but her wand is longer. And you better believe she's insufferable about it and they're always going at it somehow over these differences.
What are your thoughts on their wands? Do you agree? Do you have other ideas? I love talking about this
