You invaded me in Shulva, explained a puzzle that helped me get to the bonfire and gifted me with 31 human effigies (right after I was running short because Darklurker kept kicking my ass)

Whoever you are, you have joined my pantheon of random nice invaders that made my day, right up there with Forgy. I hope Dark Souls 3 keeps up the trend so I have a holy trinity by then.

i finished playing totk i did every side quest & adventure all the shrines went to all the caves mapped out all of the depths filled out the whole compendium and i can def say that it has beaten out botw as my favorite game ever bc it is literally botw but like 10x better lol. i would lump them in together as number 1 though just to make it easier if i was going to make a list. but anyway i started playing dark souls 2 and here is the thing…..is it easier than dark souls yes i can tell it is for sure bc i died WAY more in dark souls at this stage & i also just defeated the first boss w/o dying lmao. BUT. the fact that your heath bar goes down 5% every time you die is the most insidious game mechanic i have ever seen…..like oh you’re dying a lot? now you’ll die more bc you have less health 😊 esp in a game part of a series as notoriously hard as dark souls…..like it genuinely makes me kind of mad fr that they did that like was it necessary? was it kind?

#michelle speaks #i have a lot of issues w dark souls in that a lot of things abt the game are just to #make it like borderline inaccessible if you aren’t a specific type of player #but the health bar thing in particular is like oh so you truly just do not want anyone to have any fun playing this huh #like it reaches the point where it feels like they did that just to make sure you don’t have fun #bc the thing is that when u play & u keep dying it’s extremely frustrating #plus if you lose your souls and ESP if you lose them multiple times #& once you die enough times & ur on half health you just die even more & get even more frustrated #so it’s just like. idk mean spirited. and it’s like i don’t want to waste all my human effigies so i have to wait until i’m really low #on my health bar to restore it. and then suddenly i have a way easier time bc i have my whole health bar i worked hard to get. hm.#the character creator though……that made my money worth it……i made a character my mom has said has the most hideous face ever 🤩
