Twilight saga,
wolf pack x reader who’s dog hates them? :3
(sorry if this is too much twilight i can stop if you want) - 🌌 anon
Hello Galaxy Anon, I love this idea!
Wolf pack x reader whose dog hates them
Sam, Paul, Jacob, Embry, Quil, Seth
Sam
Sighs in pack dad
Of course his imprint has a dog, and of course that dog hates him
He’s so disappointed. As a wolf shifter, dogs tend not to like them. Having a bigger predator around can be quite intimidating.
If you have a small dog, Sam is actually more scared; some small dogs can be absolute monsters because they get so nervous at such a large predator
He tries his best to bribe his way into your dog’s good books. He buys prime meat and bones, the best squeaky toys, and takes the dog for long runs. Especially bonds well with a larger dog that he can take on long runs through the woods
Paul
>:(
Well Paul hates your dog too, so there
On a more serious note, he’s crushed. You won’t let him near your house. Like Sam, he tries to bribe the dog, but he doesn’t really have the patience for it. It doesn’t work/
Hates small, yappy dogs. Please don’t get a chihuahua.
Jacob
Doesn’t really care. Jacob isn’t a dog person whatsoever, so it doesn’t really bother him
He also likes a bit more independence from his imprint, and makes sure to give you lots of space as well.
Just invites you over to his house whenever the two of you hang out.
Might prefer a smaller dog; he finds it funny when it yaps at Paul
Embry
Aweeee 🙁
He loves dogs. He always wanted a dog but his mom always said no, and now he has an imprint who has one, and it hates him? He feels cursed by fate.
Honestly the worst part of being a shifter for him. He HATES that he can’t pet the puppy.
Even worse if it’s a young dog. They’re SO CUTE and there’s nothing he can do
Tries SO HARD to bond with the dog and bribe the dog.
Gives you some clothes to slowly introduce the dog to his scent so he can bond with it
If it works he’s ecstatic!!!!!
Quil
Quil is more of a playful personality, and may have accidentally antagonized the dog, especially if it’s smaller.
He feels really bad, especially if you’re angry with him
He does his best to make it up to you by buying your dog some expensive treats and a new dog bed
Same method as Embry but it definitely takes over a year to work.
Seth
CRUSHED
ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Absolutely sobs
Your dog is able to sense his gentle, kind soul and starts licking him
Honestly after that, you think the dog likes him better!

A love story told through voicelines (III)
C/W: slow-burn, Diluc x gn!reader, reader works at the flower shop in Mondstadt, more Wicked and Epic: the musical references, fluff, angst, Crepus mentioned, rumors, no-no word: twat
Note: Pls pretend Donna doesn’t work at the flower shop yet- (here’s part 1 and part 4)
(You) About Diluc: Smiling
He never smiles—I know that for a fact. But when he came to the flower shop today, I swear the corners of his mouth were pointing slightly upward. Hah, I guess you could say the flowers worked! That’s good. Flora took the cost of those flowers out of my paycheck.
(Diluc) About you: Smiling
The way they smiled at me when I came in today… It was different. It wasn’t just a polite smile, but something deeper, something unspoken. I’ve never been good at reading people, but I think… I think they know more than I realize. I just wonder if I’m ready for whatever this is.
(You) About Diluc: Reputation
There are times I feel whispers on the street that have to do with me and Diluc. It’s not like we’ve been particularly discreet in our lunch meetings, so it’s only natural. I just hope nothing bad will happen because of it. No, I’m not so worried it eats me alive—I’m tougher than that, you know! I’m prepared to take what’s thrown at me.
(Diluc) About you: Reputation
When it comes to ‘reputations’, eyes automatically lock on me, being the Master of Dawn Winery, and—to the Knights of Favonius and the Abyss—the Darknight Hero. But I’m already used to dealing with rumors and disapproving gazes—it’s them I’m worried about. Do they feel the pressure of being seen with me? Or do they understand that it’s not just the weight of my family name that comes with me, but all the expectations and rumors, too? I want to protect them from all of it. I don’t want them to feel like they’re being judged for something that has nothing to do with them.
(Kaeya) About Diluc: Recent behavior
Master Diluc. I see him gracing the flower shop more often. Haha, tell me, is he buying blooms for the winery… or for someone special?
(Flora) About you and Diluc
They’ve been getting distracted since Master Diluc started to pass by more; always rushing out the door the moment lunch time comes. Ooh, is something going on between them?
(Fischl) About you and Diluc
Ah, the tale of thy heart entwined with the ever-guarded Crimson Knight of Flames has reached my ears! Truly, a most beguiling confluence of fates!
Oz: Mein Fräulein, it seems that their bond appears to be progressing at a steady pace. Perhaps the Crimson Knight has begun to lower his defenses.
Indeed, Oz! I, Fischl, Prinzessin der Verurteilung, have observed the signs! The subtle glances, the fleeting moments shared between them—these are no mere happenstance. Yet, let it be known, they must tread carefully, for to enter the heart of a man such as he is to walk through a storm. But fear not! For they art no ordinary soul, and the stars favor their cause.
Verily, shouldst they require guidance, I, Fischl, shall lend my wisdom! Together with the ever-watchful Oz, I shall ensure that their journey to the heart of the Crimson Knight is as glorious as it is fateful!
Oz: Or perhaps simply buying him another bouquet might suffice, mein Fräulein.
Hush, Oz! A saga of this magnitude deserves nothing less than grandeur!
(Venti) About you and Diluc
Ah, the stoic knight and his admiring florist—it’s practically begging to be sung, no?
(Amber) About you and Diluc
I’ve been keeping an eye on those two lately, and honestly? I think there’s something special there. I hope it all works out between them.
(Klee) About you and Diluc
That florist is the best! You know… Master Diluc used to be sooo grumpy all the time, that’s why I thought he weird. But now, whenever they’re around, he’s a lot less grumpy, and that’s pretty cool! No one’s ever made him smile before. It’s like they have a superpower… with flowers!
(Lisa) About you and Diluc
So someone has finally brought down his walls, huh? Hm, well done.
(Jean) About you and Diluc
I don’t know all the details, but… whatever bond the two of them share, it seems to have brought him a sense of ease that I haven’t seen in a long time.
(You) About Diluc: Constellations
I found him sitting alone near Windrise one night, looking more tense than ever. Without thinking, I sat next to him in silence, just watching the stars with my head near his shoulder. He didn’t say a word neither, but I felt his eyes on me for a brief moment before returning to the costellations above us. I’m not one for silent moments, but there was something comforting with how quiet it was. Like the night spoke for us. It felt… nice.
(Diluc) About you: Constellations
The quiet of Windrise was unlike anything else. I had hoped for solitude that night, but when they sat beside me, I didn’t feel the need to chase them away. They were calm, simply being there, with their presence more than enough. The stars above seemed so distant, but in that moment, with them there, everything felt strangely within reach. I didn’t have to speak. We just… existed together. It was a feeling I wasn’t used to, yet something about it felt right.
(Adelinde) About Diluc: Recent behavior
I’ve seen Master Diluc return to the manor with a lighter step recently. I dare say, it’s been a while since he seemed this… at ease. Reminds me of when he was still a child; always causing trouble, that one.
(You) About Diluc: Could it be?
It’s hard to put into words, but lately, every time he stops by the flower shop or shares a quiet moment with me, I feel this… pull. Like the world is shifting, and he’s at the center of it.
Could it be some kind of sign? That my life, my world, is all about to change?
But then there’s that doubt—that nagging little voice in the back of my head. Maybe I’m just imagining things. What if I’m wrong about him? About us?
Still… I can’t help but wonder.
(Diluc) About you: Could it be?
I can’t stop thinking about them. Every conversation, every glance—it stays with me long after they’re gone.
But then, one question keeps haunting me: do they feel the same?
I’ve always thought myself strong, unshaken by the opinions or approval of others, yet this… this is different. What if I’ve misread everything? What if the way I look at them, the way my heart quickens when they’re near—it’s all just me?
Was I really seeking something good with them, or was I just seeking attention? Am I holding onto this feeling because I don’t know how to let it go?
(Donna) About “you and Diluc”
Oh, you won’t believe what I’ve heard! You know that florist that’s been hanging around Master Diluc all the time? Yeah, turns out—they have a little arrangement, if you catch my drift. And it’s not just the flowers. Hahaha! Seems like a desperate move, but who knows? Maybe they’ve been waiting for more than a paycheck.
(You) About Diluc: Rumors
I thought it wouldn’t matter to him, you know. He seemed like the type not to care about gossip. Maybe I was wrong there. Archons—maybe I was even wrong about us! I’m so confused… how could he throw our friendship away like it was nothing?! All because of that Donna—psh, who even is Donna?! Who is she to mind Diluc and my’s business? If she has something to say, then come on! I’m all ears! In a moment, I’ll be all fists too. She’s just jealous! Twat.
It’s no use being angry, Diluc’s gone. He’s gone… and I don’t know what I can do to get him back. … I need to see him. No—I don’t care if he doesn’t want to talk! He can’t just throw away what we have! Whatever that is. I’m going to the manor!
(Diluc) About you: Rumors
I heard about it… from one of my staff. Some girl, Donna, spreading terrible lies about them. I had the situation dealt with, of course. …They don’t deserve this—these watchful eyes and loathsome minds that seem to misinterpret every step they take. I thought by letting them go, I would be freeing them from all of this. That was the right thing to do, isn’t it? Protect the people I care about, even if it hurts me? That’s what my father would’ve done.
(Diluc) About Crepus: Protecting loved ones
Truth is… I don’t think I’m anything like him. He would have handled this better. He wouldn’t have been so cowardly—so afraid of ruining something good that he let it slip through his fingers entirely. I wanted to keep them safe, to protect them the way I couldn’t protect him. But instead, I’ve only driven them away.
If my father were here, what would he think of me? Would he see me as strong, or as a coward hiding behind excuses? I don’t know anymore. All I know is that I’ve hurt them… and I can’t stop thinking about how much I’ve failed them. I promised to protect them, but I’ve only hurt them. And now… I don’t know if I’ll ever have the chance to make it right.

Another one of my wild dreams coming to me, I swear the voices are having too much fun when I’m unconscious, where its the usual Soulmate-Reincarnation trope but the Tf 141 guys always get to meet each other but…you.
Every. Single. Time.
In each new life, they’d always happen to meet, but nearing the end of theirs— a longing always seem to linger in their hearts. Pieces of their memory always missing with a piece of their soul not being fulfilled.
At first, they don’t notice it— it was already rare enough to have 4 soulmates all tied together. So, to think of another partner being somewhere out there? Yeah, that was outrageous.
They were already thankful enough that they had each other, how could they still feel so greedy and longing?
We’re they not enough for each other?
What was lacking? What were they lacking?
When then they hear murmurs of soulmates being together, they all said they’ll feel something snap into place.
They think its the soulmate bond being locked into place, their soul finally complete and fates intertwined.
Yet… they only got to the first couple of steps to that. Seeing that zing in each other’s eyes that recognizes each other as soulmates, the bonding ritual, the return of past life memories…
Every time they get to that point, they’d remember that something was just… missing.
So they try, in each life to the next, to find some way to fix that last piece into place— test out all their theories.
What if there was something wrong that they did? Were they truly partners? What if one wasn’t their mate with the other?
It wasn’t until Price offered the idea that there may be… a fifth person… involved that their tactics changed.
But they never got lucky.
How come it was so easy to find each other but not…you?
They were just about to give up in this timeline, their lives being ran rugged in the military made their hearts weak and souls crushed already— why would they make the extra effort when they already had the partners they wanted right besides them?
But they regret saying that, bringing it up and believing in it when that familiar zing rings across their brains and underneath their skins as they see you— fresh eyed recruit sent right to their team.
It was like their prayers have finally been answered, all the sacrifices their past selves made now coming to fruition—
But you see no zing- you’ve never had one.
That must be another reason why you always happen to miss them- whether it be through an early death, a bad relationship, an unfortunate event, living across the country from them.
But no, you were always right near them. You just couldn’t find them like they did with each other.
It just didn’t click until now for you and they are distraught for you.
They are so happy, souls now complete and their memories as well— but you had nothing.
That feeling of wholeness and unconditional love— you couldn’t feel it.
So they swear, that from then on, they’d always find you next— no matter how many times they’d repeat it, all the struggles and pain, it was incomparable to you who felt nothing from a forced severed soul bond.
My sleepi and awake mind are cooking but im not in the kitchen- send help what the
Masterlist here! Prev dream idea i was talkin about here- its becoming a saga oml

hi! Please ignore this request if you don't want to do it/your request are closed.
Do you think you could do a part 2 to hells angel? Or at least like more bonding moments between the two Im in love with father alastor sm 😭🙏
It’s not closed! It’s open, wide open and yes, I’ll happily write more for Papa Alastor! I’ll happily continue the little saga of Papa Alastor and his little fawn! Kinda short but I hope that’s okay!
Alastor- Shopping Trip
Tumblr media
“Is this one something you’d like, Princess?” Alastor asks gently, his voice both menacing because of the radio effect and soothing because of the genuine love pouring out uncontrollably, as he draws down an adorable puffy old-fashioned but colourful little dress, long sharp fingers snapped on the small silky shoulder straps slightly. A outfit just the right size for a young girl
Specifically, his little girl. Leitora, a unique deer-featured soul born from pure powerful demonic magic. The one now forming his own soul and heart, he is so glad birthing the little devil darling was successful
His precious baby daughter, a seven year old with matching little deer ears and crimson red gradient in her pretty long hair. She has been waiting a long time to be able to spend time with her father and now, Alastor has taken the whole day off from duties at the Hazbin Hotel, to spend it exploring a wild wondering sinner-filled shopping institution with his babygirl
“Yes, Père! I love it!” You immediately pipe out soft yet eccentric back, excited and hopping right in front of the Radio Demon as he quickly hooks this little clothing present onto the size-appropriate hanger it was originally left on and hands it to you without another word. He currently has a few more shopping bags over his left forearm and an another much bigger shopping bag over his right shoulder as well as your needed travel supplies in a cute old fashioned pastel schoolbag over both of his shoulders
Your father doesn’t mind carrying everything nor does he mind overspending. After all
This is a father-daughter all-day shopping trip
One. Two. Three. Four. Five. A pretty clothing store, full of women’s to men’s to children’s fashion. The fifth store you’ve gone in with Alastor since the pair of you woke up early in the morning and headed over to the biggest mall in the Pride Ring, the mall both of you stand in at this very moment. He has been needing to get you some new clothing for a while now so being able to get your opinion on the cute dresses, tights, accessorises, pyjamas and much more he picks out for you is simply perfect
Alastor has truly missed being able to spend time with you, even if it includes milking his credit card. You’re worth far more than all the wealth he’s stolen and gathered
Taking your hand with a lean down, Alastor waits patiently for you to take his offer as you quickly readjust the clothing store hanger holding up your cute little present. Moving that hanger from both hands to your wrist, you reach up and immediately grab his much bigger hand. Two to three fingers are enough to hold your whole hand, the size difference is simply precious
“Père! Père! Look! Look! Speaking with a adorable little French accent upon pointing out and chiming excitedly in fluent French, Alastor’s crimson red eyes sharply fling away from the cute rows of female children’s clothing to the single rack of children’s hair accessorises to jewellery. The reason you pointed it out, only seconds after taking your beloved father’s hand was because you noticed something really pretty you wanted your father to see
“What is it, Princess?” Alastor lets you drag him over to the colourful rack, his own eyes wondering around with tall fluffy deer-like ears flicking a bit as if an instinctive twitch. You still have the dress your father handed to you and you reach up as a sign for Alastor to help you. Following your little cute pale fingers, the Overlord picks out a set retro pearl tassel hairpins. Something he never thought you’d like but it may fit with your red hair
He isn’t sure if he wants the metal touching your skull however, so he holds the white cardboard support holding the hairpins still, just scanning over them a bit firmly and if not protective over you
Until your voice breaks him out of his intense thought. His ears shooting up in shock as your own ears draw back slightly, not necessarily concerned but wondering why just a pair of cute accessorises would possibly make him fall so deep into a thinking trance
“Père… What’s wrong?” You’re now the one asking your father to speak to you with big sparkly eyes looking up at him, he takes a few seconds of his head shaking in slight disorientation before he finally gets back to his senses and speaks out his opinion, uncertain but yet uncertain if he wants to reject you
Alastor is not good at saying no to you, he’s good at giving out needed discipline and can be rather strict about specific things but when it comes to mundane things like a pair of mere hairpins, he doesn’t like to say no
What can be said? Alastor is the type of father to spoil his daughter absolutely rotten
“Princess… are you sure you want this one specifically?”

What Turned me Gay: The first BGeast match I purchased - Troy & Brian Baker v Vinny Trevino & Joshua Goodman (bgeast.com)
It's no secret that Bgeast turned me gay. The combination of hot men in compromising situations, muscles straining, humiliating holds; all summed up to ignite something inside of me.  Now while all of that is worth a post in itself, I wanted to devote this time to rekindle a memory specifically about the first Bgeast match I watched, Tag Team Torture 3.
What turned me gay (not really) ...
Tumblr media
Troy & Brian Baker v Vinny Trevino & Joshua Goodman (bgeast.com)
This post, inspired by the sidelineland.com blog, takes a tongue and cheek look into "what made me gay (not really)" and in thinking about the topic of gay wrestling, it's helpful to go back to the beginning - at least my beginning as a gay wrestling fan.
The Background Now, when I first viewed Tag Team Torture 3, I had no idea what to expect.  Sure I had watched porn before, but the default for porn back then (and now) was a cheesy few minutes of story line followed by emotionless hard core action.  In those scenes the guys refused eye contact with each other, closed their eyes, and probably thought of their girlfriends or something while they did the deed so in a very big way, bgeast was different.
Tumblr media
Baker and Baker - two reasons why I purchased this match.  Beefier Brian and Tasty Troy.
Tumblr media
In hindsight, I love the Backstreet Boy Look on Mr. Joshua.  This was a very popular look back then - Highlights and a Soul Patch.
And boy was Tag Team Torture 3 different, from the opening scene I realized that the focus was on the wrestling and everything, from the guys lifting weights, to the trash talk; all of this led up to struggle between men.
Tumblr media
Troy and Brian bonding before the match.  They build each other up saying stuff in the tone of 'you're the best, no you're the best'.  They support and encourage each other ... at least for now.
Tumblr media
Compare that to the other team, bragging about how much they can bench or talking shit about their opponents the "beach boys".  There's no building anyone up here, simply tearing the pretty boys down.
In lieu of porn which hurried to climax and rushed to "get the job done", gay wrestling highlighted the emotions exchanged between our guys and what is sex really except a bundle of intense emotions.
The Action Finally, 20 minutes in the guys start to wrestle.  I told you that gay wrestling takes it's time and slowly savors each and every popping bicep and ab and now we have the Troy Baker reveal and boy was it worth the wait...
Tumblr media
Troy knows what we're all here for.
Tumblr media
And later, Troy swooning over himself.  The man and I are on the same wave length when it comes to admiring that body.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But all that muscle just begs to be abused.
Brian Baker is the powerhouse but he can't fight off two men by himself and it's clear that Troy is more interested in himself than on the match.
Tumblr media
Mr. Joshua multitasking by dominating and making his infamous "adjustment".  I love how the back of his hand goes straight from his package to smacking Brian on the back of his head.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Brian: [exasperated]: Lookout Troy!
Tumblr media
Vinny: You like that surfer boy?  Troy: *Moan*
The Finale At this point our heroes are done for.  All that camaraderie, the hours at the gym spent sculpting those muscles, all of that vanishes and we are left with a beaten Troy Baker.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
To further the point, our heels double team the helpless Troy while his brother watches on.  Further emphasizing that there is no coming back from this one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Troy's abs of steel are put to the test with yet another barrage of abuse.  That golden tan is starting to turn a shade of pink as even those abs of steel have their limits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But the real crescendo for this match comes at the end.  When Brian seems to triumph despite the odds and an upset looks possible, that is until a weakened Troy folds under our heels.  It's that moment followed by a betrayal when our gay wrestling saga is complete and the Baker Brothers are finally broken with sound and fury.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In hindsight it's obvious to see why gay wrestling sucked me in and became my obsession.  I've always loved the emotional highs when I wrestled in high school and bgeast perfectly captured those stories of struggle and dominance multiplied by like 1,000.   You see this story, told through sweat and humiliation is so vivid, so real, that the feelings I get now from watching a 20 year old tag team match are the same as when I first saw them and  is undoubtedly what turned me gay (not really).

Ellie & Joel; poem
Tumblr media
With a spark in her eyes and a heart full of fire, the girl's young spirit uplifts, and inspires. The man, the protector, with burdens to bear, finds solace in laughter, in moments they share.
In a world gone dark, where the shadows creep, two hearts found light, in the depths so deep. The lonely girl and the broken man together they roam, in a land of despair, they carve out their home.
Through rain-soaked lands and the whispers of fate, they fight for survival, they carry their weight. With laughter and tears, they share every scar, in a world of destruction, they've traveled so far.
From cities in ruins to the wild's embrace, they lean on each other, no fear in their pace. A bond forged in fire, tested by strife, in this broken world, they find more than life.
With courage and hope, they face every night, for love is their armor, their guiding light. So here's to their saga, a tale of two souls, in a land of despair, they sought out their goals.
Ellie and Joel, through the shadows they roam, in each other, they found their way home.

John & Paul: A Love Story In Songs tells the story of the tempestuous, tender, intimate, phenomenally creative relationship between John Lennon and Paul McCartney. It’s about how two damaged young men merged their souls and multiplied their talents to create one of the greatest bodies of music in history.
It starts in 1957, when the two of them meet, before taking us through their rise to fame, stupendous success, acrimonious split and aftermath. I tell the story through songs, since it’s my belief that it’s impossible to understand the music of the Beatles except through the alchemy between John and Paul - and you can’t understand that alchemy except through the songs. John & Paul offers a whole new narrative of the Beatles; one which scrapes away the clichés in order to reveal the group and its two principals afresh. It’s a story full of joy, love, pain and pathos. But don’t take my word for it…
The first new Beatles story in decades - and the one that will make your heart burst.
Caitlin Moran
No writer has ever gotten to the heart of the John/Paul saga as brilliantly as Ian Leslie. This extraordinary book sheds light on a cultural mystery: how two nowhere boys from Liverpool formed a teenage bond that transformed the future, and in so many ways, invented it. John and Paul is a bold, original, empathetic revelation of why our world is still fascinated by this friendship-and still trying to live up to it.
Rob Sheffield
I’ve been working on this book for the last three years and it’s now pretty much done - we’re in the very last round of copy edits. It’s the best thing I’ve ever written and I can’t wait to share the whole thing with you. The notes section has been completed (I am so glad to say). The pages have been typeset. Most excitingly: we have a jacket design. Actually two, because John & Paul has two terrific publishers, one in the UK (Faber), one in the US (Celadon).
The Ruffian is deeply intertwined with John & Paul: A Love Story In Songs. The book sprang from a long piece that I wrote about McCartney on here back in 2020. It went so unexpectedly viral that I started to think, huh, what if…? I’d already been thinking, vaguely, of a book about the two of them, but now it seemed viable. I got a similar response to my piece on Peter Jackson’s Get Back, also published on The Ruffian. Those two pieces became my kind of standard for the book - I wanted the whole thing to elicit as powerful a response as they did.
It’s been a massive undertaking and without income from The Ruffian I simply wouldn’t have had time to do this story justice. Over the months to come, especially as we get nearer to publication, I’ll be sending J&P-related posts exclusively to paid subscribers. These will include pieces on the writing of the book, extra material I had to leave out, and perhaps some extracts. There will be other goodies too; my publishers have some exciting plans.
YOU CAN NOW PRE-ORDER ‘JOHN & PAUL’
Yes, it’s out there on the virtual shelves, waiting for you. And I would absolutely love you to pre-order (to those of you annoyed by this arguably redundant term, I apologise but it’s handy).
Every sale of this book counts but some sales count more than others. Pre-orders are simply more valuable to authors. Why? Because they move the algorithmic needles. The more orders a book receives before its publication date, the more prominence the retailers give it when it arrives, and so the better it does on release It’s all about the big mo. The prize is a spot on the bestseller lists in that first week. So let’s give it a go…

Why Can’t the Star Wars Franchise Renew Itself?
„Shame is a soul eating emotion.“ (Carl Gustav Jung)
Warning: longer post.
Growing up with Japanese anime I learned that being a hero is not about being perfect. The heroes I knew looked cool, were smart and brave and anything you could wish for, but also human: they were tormented, traumatized, struggling, they often doubted themselves and they sometimes cried (yes, the guys too). When I was first confronted with the Western idea of heroism I was appalled; to this day, I can’t fathom what is even supposed to be heroic about a guy like James Bond. Western heroes are usually just as terrible as the villains, except that for some reason they happen to be on the right side. The way they appear is more important than what they do. Franchises like Terminator, Mission Impossible, Batman etc. always portray the “hero” as untouchable, seemingly unbeatable even in the most dangerous situations and, most of all: impassive.
These days, new stories are being told. With new heroes. Except that said heroes are still quite the same as above, only now they’re more often female.
Is it an improvement when heroes are portrayed as being complete a**holes, with an aura of perfection and untouchability? No.
It always was ridiculous. It always was awful. It always was immoral.
But hardly anyone seemed to care as long as it was the guys being tough. Now that females are often portrayed doing and appearing the same, being a cool a**hole has become a caricature. Most people hate it. But the problem is that portraying alleged “heroes” like that was wrong in the first place.
The Fandom Menace
To Star Wars viewers who see stories as simply black and white and who are there mostly for the action and the superior-looking heroes, the Jedi are untouchable. Solitary and aloof, the Jedi have shiny sabres and can make things float, they travel the galaxy to kill the villains according to their own judgement. What could be more masculine than that? You try to tell an action film fan, or a Jedi fan, in particular, how messed up that is: they will never accept it. No wonder they get so upset and embarrassed when Jedi show their vulnerable, human side. Luke’s green milk in The Last Jedi must have caused a million of meltdowns among Jedi stans, mostly male ones, who felt that their hero had been character-assassinated and totally missing the point. Fans who are used to admire “heroes” like Batman, James Bond, Rambo etc. believe that the main characteristics of a male hero is a stoic appearance. A man who actually questions and doubts himself and feels guilty when he did wrong is automatically branded a loser.
Star Wars is mostly followed by action fans. But since it’s not a typical action franchise but an epic fairy tale and a metacommentary rich in symbolism, philosophy and psychology, there are also many intellectuals who love it, or hopelessly romantic souls like me. Except that fans who can actually enjoy Star Wars even when it’s not about the alleged Jedi superheroes, will most probably not send death threats to the studios and believe that “everything will be better once these producers are gone.”
The Prequels
The prequels were so disputed that Goerge Lucas himself confessed that he had sold the rights to the saga because he didn’t want to be exposed to that pressure any more. Ahmed Best, who played Jar Jar, was mobbed to the point where he considered suicide. Jake Lloyd, who portrayed little Anakin, suffers from schizophrenia to this day.
Were the films really that bad? No. But for the first time after having spent the years since 1977 believing that the Jedi were the wisest and strongest men of their time, fans were let down being confronted with their many mistakes. Anakin Skywalker was all too human as well, and quickly got apostrophized as a “whiny brat.” The very idea that the iconic villain Darth Vader once was a kind-hearted little boy and then an ardent young man was considered shocking to say the least.
The Classics
Luke is a simple farmboy when the saga starts, young, hot-headed and naïve. He is hardly aware of his powers. In the second film he’s more mature, but still impulsive and reckless. It’s only in the third instalment that he’s calm and collected: he’s a Jedi now, as the title says.
Let me ask a bold question.
Would there have been the vicious uproar we have witnessed, had The Last Jedi picked Luke up where he was in the first two films, before he became a Jedi?
I daresay, no.
Because to the Jedi stans Luke is first and foremost a Jedi. And that is what they get wrong.
Luke’s strength was exactly that he did not act like the other Jedi, that he followed his heart instead of their maxims. Had he acted like a Jedi, like Obi-Wan and Yoda expected him to, he would have killed his own father and spent the rest of his life hating himself. Luke is a team player, it’s one of his greatest strengths ever since the first film. He’s the one who brings people together and reunites his family. No Jedi is like that, on the contrary, in the prequels we learn that they’re discouraged from bonding with other people.
Tumblr media
Jedi stans love Luke the Jedi, not Luke the person, who was wiser and stronger and better than any of the old-school Jedi, who strictly followed the rules instead of following their hearts the way he did.
Luke is the central character of the classic films because he’s so likeable. All three classic films have a scene towards the end where he’s about to die, and someone rushes to the rescue - Han in the first film, Leia in the second, Vader in the third. Do they save him because they are interested in his Jedi-like qualities? No. They do because they care for him; because, each in his own way, are his family. The Skywalker saga is a hymn to the power of love.
Hardcore fans still haven’t understood that the core story of Star Wars is the Skywalker saga, the story of a family. That’s the actual beauty and fascination of the Star Wars saga. And yet Jedi stans can pick apart any and every photogram of The Last Jedi and rant about how awful it is, never getting one inch closer to what is actually irking them too much: their own, misguided conviction that The Jedi Are the Good Guys and that their detached, collected attitude is not hypocritical.
Pride, male pride in particular can be oversensitive, and apparently many don’t grow beyond the mental stage of adolescents, who are particularly vulnerable. Listening to Jedi stans one would think that the Disney studios are producing new Star Wars content with the deliberate intention of hurting their feelings and laughing into the face of their ideals.
The Sequels
In Return of the Jedi (the only film where for all intents and purposes Luke looks and acts like a Jedi, and the title says it), on the Death Star he lashes out towards Vader when he threatens to corrupt Leia if he won’t succeed with him; and when he realizes that Vader can feel him in his mind, he says “I shouldn’t have come, I’m endangering the whole mission”. This fits perfectly to a Luke who debates killing his nephew - and that time he didn’t even strike - and who, once the damage is done, closes himself off the Force and retires to a deserted island before he can do any more harm. But ever since The Last Jedi, Jedi stans rave that “their hero” Luke Skywalker would never have behaved like that and that the film was a slap in the face of everything he ever stood for. Why?
Jedi stans expected Luke to be the hero and central figure of the sequel: he was supposed to be adult at last, wise, self-controlled, powerful, in other words the perfect Jedi. After the events on the second Death Star, Luke was not celebrated; no one even knew that Vader had saved him. In the final scene he had a vision of his father, now looking healed and serene, together with Yoda and Obi-Wan. No one else saw that, not even his sister. So, a lot of fans were waiting for Luke to have his big moment at last.
Instead, they saw a disillusioned hermit who at one point had to admit that he pushed his own nephew, albeit not on purpose, to the Dark Side. Luke was portrayed as a man who still had hope and strength even when he had seen his whole life’s work literally go up in smoke; who admitted his faults, apologized, and in the end gave his life to still make the best of the situation. That is what true heroism looks like. But it’s not what an average action moviegoer wants to see: to them, a hero looks cool, kills whoever gets in his way, maybe says some wise-sound words, and that’s it. Bonus if he gets the girl.
Jedi stans felt that Rey was taking the shine from Luke, pushing him aside. Far from usurping his place, Rey said to Luke “I need someone to show me my place in all this”. She clearly didn’t want to fill in his place. But Jedi stans felt like they were watching a James Bond film where Bond is suddenly not convinced of his mission, doubts himself and steps aside to make way for someone who normally would only be a Bond girl.
Rey is one of the most controversial characters of the sequels, allegedly because she’s a Mary Sue or a feminist fantasy who didn’t earn all that she achieved. But in the classics Luke was also good at things we never or hardly had seen him training or learning before. In The Empire Strikes Back, he pulled his sabre into his hand only by the force of his will, and called out to Leia in his mind. He acted on instinct; he assuredly hadn’t trained at a Jedi temple for decades.
The sequels were the story of the third generation of the Skywalker family, and one of its main mistakes, the way I see it today, is that they focus too much on Rey. She is Ben’s other half in the Force, as we learn later on, but still: the scion of the Skywalker family is he, he is the one who changes deeply, while she doesn’t.
I like Kylo Ren / Ben Solo because he’s a complex character, well-written and interpreted, but not only for that. I understood him so well on a personal level. I know what it means to be so isolated and abused that the moment someone shows you only a glimpse of kindness you fall in love to the point you would do anything for that person. The actual problem was that Rey did not know what she wanted, or what the Force wanted her to do. She only told Ben “not to go this way”. He saved her life twice, once as Kylo (when he killed Snoke) and once as Ben (when he gave her his remaining life force). If she had known what she wanted apart from staying alive, or if she had known the will of the Force, I do not doubt that he would have done anything she wanted. But she didn’t.
Star Wars stories only develop and the heroes only have success when they know what they want, not what they want to avoid. Fair enough. But the Force’s will remains mysterious. Even the alleged Chosen One didn’t know it. After The Last Jedi, I naively assumed that the better times when the Jedi actually did the will of the Force and the galaxy was at peace was during the time when the temple of Ahch-To was built; that we would learn more about it and that new Force users would find back to these better times. Seven years after having seen the Force Balance mosaic on the floor of the Jedi temple, I’m still waiting in vain for one or more Force users to actually discover and share said balance.

Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
The miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi was the first and only time that I actually liked a character who I had until then felt to be narrow-minded, haughty and largely responsible for Anakin’s damnation and the downfall of the republic.
“From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!” Anakin Skywalker in Revenge of the Sith
Obi-Wan proved that Anakin was right a few minutes later: he ended the duel with Anakin cutting off his legs and leaving him to burn in the lava - a Jedi does not soil his hands through a coup de grace. Obi-Wan did not manage to save Anakin in the moment of his greatest need, and he did not have mercy. Padme was about to take Anakin with her, which would at least have spared the galaxy the worst. Being the perfect Jedi, of course Obi-Wan had to interfere, setting the seal on Anakin’s fate. At the beginning of the same film Anakin killed Count Dooku who was kneeling handless in front of him; and it was also said that Anakin had saved Obi-Wans’s life ten times over. But he did not learn from his mistakes: twenty years later he tried to push the naïve Luke to patricide, so that is own hands would, again, not get dirty. Obi-Wan recurrently appeared to Luke as a Jedi spirit; but in The Empire Strikes Back when the traumatized young man, having learned the truth, repeated over and over, „Ben, why didn’t you tell me?” he was silent. When they did meet again, he shirked his responsibility with wise-sounding words.
Was Obi-Wan a good Jedi? From their perspective, undoubtedly. But I would not call him a compassionate human being. Obi-Wan was afraid not so much of Anakin but of the Jedi’s judgement: he knew that if Anakin tripped over a line, he as his master would be responsible. And Yoda had his fair share of responsibility - he refused to help Obi-Wan with the training of the powerful boy, he feared him although he was the one who clearly said that fear is the way to the Dark Side, and in Revenge of the Sith he practically ordered Obi-Wan to kill him.
Obi-Wan was always the first to draw the weapon. In A New Hope, he cut off the arm of a guy at a bar who was merely annoying him. In Revenge of the Sith, he attacked General Grievous showing up behind him, challenging to an uncalled-for fight. He had neither himself nor anyone else to protect right then. During his duel with Anakin / Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi, he also was the first to draw his weapons.
Obi-Wan never questioned himself, his choices and actions. He never took his responsibilities: even when dead, he justified his blatant lie to Luke saying that the truth is only a point of view. He never felt guilty or admitted defeat and wrong choices.
Not until Obi-Wan Kenobi, where was alone, traumatized, regretful, bonding with little Leia. Owen said clearly him that he did not want him to train Luke because of the way he had trained his father. Human at last! The last thing Jedi stans want him to be like. He even did what a Jedi actually ought to do, giving Reva spiritual advice. Of course, another Star Wars character who was accused of having been “character assassinated”.
Tumblr media
Was Moses Ingram attacked for her portrayal of Reva because she’s a woman of colour? No, it was because Obi-Wan was not portrayed as Jedi stans wanted to see him. The actress was mobbed because they needed someone to project their hatred on. It’s true that her character was not written well, but any fool must have known that it wasn’t the actresses’ fault.
The Acolyte (2024)
“The Jedi live in a dream. A dream they believe everyone shares. If you attack a Jedi with a weapon you will fail… But an acolyte kills without a weapon. An acolyte kills the dream.” (The Stranger)
„The majority of my colleagues can’t imagine a galaxy without the Jedi. And I can understand why. When you’re looking up to heroes, you don’t have to face what’s right in front of you.“
„I think the Jedi are a massive system of unchecked power posing as a religion. A delusional cult that claims to control the uncontrollable. You project an image of goodness and restraint. But it’s only a matter of time before one of you snaps. And when, not if that happens, who will be strong enough to stop him?”
(Senator Rayencourt to Master Vernestra)
Did anyone at Disney Lucasfilm honestly think that this kind of show would be accepted and even loved by Jedi stans, who make up the majority of the fans - or at least a group that is very loud in their disapproval? If it “simply” was a bad tv show, fans would be disappointed, shrug it off and move on. I haven’t met such an amount of online vitriol since The Last Jedi, and it’s not difficult to see why: because the precious Jedi were shown as arrogant fools who believe they mean well but are too narrow-minded and stuck-up to see the errors in their ways.
„The Force does not belong to the Jedi.” (Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi)
Some in the galaxy far, far away call it The Thread. And use it their own way. Both ways might be wrong. Osha is raised by two very different mentalities and finds both don’t suit her, so she joins The Stranger who is also looking to find his own path. Whether they will or not we won’t know unfortunately, since the show’s second season was cancelled. (At least for now.)
Is Master Sol a bad person? No. He’s fallible and believes that the lies he told Osha are justified. So are the other Jedi that travel to Brendok with him. What makes Jedi stans hate them is that they don’t defeat the Stranger; and that Sol and Torbin actually feel guilty for what they did to Mae, Osha and their family. Vernestra on the other hand lied to the Jedi Council to make sure they won’t find out what happened.
Sol took Osha away from everything she had known by destroying, in the process, her home, her past and her family, and letting her live in a lie for the next sixteen years. Sol knew that she was already too old to be trained, and taking her as his padawan he set her up for failure. Even when she left the Jedi order, failing the tests, he didn’t tell her the truth. Osha was condemned to loneliness, her only friend being Pip, a mechanical device. She could go back neither to Brendok nor to the Jedi, and being Force sensitive, she belonged nowhere until she met the Stranger.
Sol certainly was kind to her while he trained her, but for all the wrong reasons. He said that he “felt that Osha was meant to be his padawan”. What does that mean? Osha failed the tests and Sol knew she was already too old for training. He even said he loved her at one point. My take is that Sol felt lonely and wanted to raise her as his daughter, he did not care that much about Osha becoming a Jedi nor not. Osha was right confronting him about what he had done to her, her sister and her entire coven, allegedly knowing what was best for her. She didn’t have to go as far as to kill him, I found that it did a lot to make her character unlikeable. Osha effectively “killed the past”, the way Ben Solo had wanted to. However: if it’s immoral to kill your father figure, it is equally immoral, if not much worse, of said father figure to wipe out your family and its entire civilization with it just to get a hold on you because you have the same power as he.
Impossible!! A Real Jedi would never do that! That’s why Jedi stans hate on the show and will pick on every small detail where they believe they find a flaw. The actual flaw is their headcanon that the Jedi can’t be the problem. Watching the saga, you see that they were very much a problem. But woe if you speak up; your will get your head ripped off.
The Acolyte also isn’t a female fantasy, as his haters claim. The strongest and most impressive character is the Stranger. Mae is his first pupil, but she doesn’t connect with him on a personal level, she only learns fighting from him; in the end, this makes her regress to childhood (the Stranger deleting her memory and she finding herself helpless in the Jedi order the way her sister had been sixteen years earlier). So? It appears that just wanting to be a strong female character and to do what a guy shows you is the wrong way, which is certainly not feministic.
The Stranger, despite his black clothes and mask, is not a real villain: when you watch him fight you see that he defends himself, he never attacks first. Despite their Code, again we see Jedi draw their weapons first, attack from behind or eight against one. He rightly points out to Osha that Yord had arrested her for a crime she did not commit and that both Jecki and Sol, whom she saw as her friends, would never commit fully to her.
Another popular criticism is that the Stranger allegedly has seduced Osha to the Dark Side with his male charms. But the Stranger is a mixed creature the way Osha is, neither good nor evil; he kills in defence or self-defence, and when he criticizes the ways of the Jedi he has a point. Osha is neither good nor evil herself, and I liked that they were starting on a new way together, all the more because I had been so disappointed that the sequels didn’t show us the much-needed and already announced Balance in the Force. When both Anakin and his grandson Ben came back to the Light side, it swallowed them whole, causing their death.
The Acolyte is a metaphor for growing up. Osha learned two ways of using the Force - first with (mother) Aniseya, then with Sol (father figure). The Stranger understands her doubts because he’s been through the same. Osha understands him better after putting on his helmet. In the end, they join their lives to find a new way together and in the final scene, both turn their backs to the past.
Tumblr media
The Broom Boy: a Metaphor for the Future
The final scene of The Last Jedi with the Force-sensitive slave boy sweeping a floor before an open space which looks very much like a theatre stage, and who then looks up to the stars dreaming of being a Jedi, was clear: “Free the stage, now it’s time for us, the children.” There has hardly been a Star Wars show until now where there wasn’t a child in a central role.
Since the prequels, Star Wars made a point of showing that the Jedi are very bad at dealing with children. Anakin was taken away from his mother at age nine, shouldered with the prediction “You are the Chosen One”, and his emotional development was stunted because he was not allowed to go through the stages of being a normal child and teenager. Remember Attack of the Clones, where we see children playing around with light sabres - deadly weapons - like they were toys? Or Revenge of the Sith, where we see even smaller children, all with their light sabre tucked into their belts? It looks tragic. The scene where Anakin kills the children is a painful metacommentary on how a good person with a gun is no match against a bad person with a gun.
Tumblr media
Sol: „She was just a child.” The Stranger: „You brought her here.”
In The Acolyte, Torbin and Jecki are heartbreaking examples of two Jedi padawans not allowed to be the teenagers they actually are. Jedi stans call Torbin “whiny”, but they overlook that his behaviour is normal for any teenager forced to be away from home for weeks on end on a trip he didn’t choose to make. Jecki has more self-control, but it doesn’t help her: she gets killed. The Stranger rightly points out that they both should never have come along on a risky mission to a planet with wholly unknown dangers. Jedi stans of course despise Torbin, because he’s supposed to be proud to be part of the Jedi since it gives him the possibility to look cool and fight all the bad guys in sight. Ironically, Torbin is the only member of the group of Jedi on Brendok who feels that something dreadful is about to happen and wants to go away. And years later, he is the only Jedi who admits to Mae that he feels guilty for what they did to Osha and her covert believing “they were doing the right thing”. That’s simply not what Jedi stans want to see. It’s an aberration to them, a slap in the face of everything they believe in.
Luke did not learn his ideals from the Jedi, he learned them at home with two simple farmers who neither were Force-sensitive nor knew the ways of the Jedi. Had he been raised like his father, all his power wouldn’t have helped him. Why do the Jedi insist that at a certain age you’re too old to be trained? I daresay because you have to start with brainwashing very early, before a person’s character is formed and its ideals in place.
The Mandalorian always allows Grogu to be a child. He keeps him close because that’s where’s he’s safest; he does look for safer places where he could leave him and is ready to make the sacrifice to give him up, but Sorgan proves not to be safe and later on Ossus, Grogu chooses to leave Luke on his own accord. And as soon as he is with Mando, he shows his playful side again. Grogu needs that! It’s healthy, because a child needs to be a child, no matter how powerful it is. But Jedi stans only think that it must be a great honour to be trained to be a hero from childhood on, never considering that it’s unfulfilling and frustrating at best, and traumatizing at worst.
It’s not a coincidence that family is the core theme of the Skywalker saga. Children who grow up feeling loved and protected develop well. That’s a wise message, and The Bad Batch, Obi-Wan Kenobi or The Mandalorian made a good point of it. But still: until now it didn’t lead anywhere. None of the Force-sensitive children we saw until now pointed to a new and better new Jedi Order, or anything else of that sort.
Star Wars Bigotry: Jedi and Jedi stans
If the Force wants Balance, as is said in the prequels, then the Jedi must be just as wrong as the Sith, because the Force does not want to be used either way.
I don’t mind a good villain. But if a viewer needs to compartmentalize characters into black and white or else he believes it can’t work, then that’s his problem, not the author’s. The sequels were unclear as to who the villain was, so was The Acolyte, so Jedi stans rave about how they suck. In my opinion they’re interesting exactly because the good guys sometimes do wrong and the bad guys sometimes are right. Of course, anyone who’s adamant that a good story, in particular a good Star Wars story, has to be Good Guys against Bad Guys with the Jedi being the good guys will never accept that.
The Jedi worshippers are many, and they are the most vicious among the SW fandom. Woe if you dare to criticize their Flawless Heroes with shiny light sabres who make things float. They will pretend that „wokeism“, feminism, blackwashing etc. are the problem. But that’s not true. Most of them wouldn’t mind strong female characters, queer or black characters whatsoever as long as the show they appear in would actually focus on showing off the Jedi as heroes. They do not mind stories like The Mandalorian, Rogue One, Andor, or The Bad Batch, they usually like them: because the Jedi hardly appear there. Or if they do, like in The Mandalorian season 2, The Book of Boba Fett or Ahsoka, they kick ass. In The Force Awakens Han Solo, also a very popular character, got killed, and no one hated on that film, on the contrary, most fans loved it. But hey, Han is not a Jedi. He can die a seemingly senseless death.
The Book of Boba Fett was mediocre at best. But it wasn’t hated. On the contrary, a lot of fans loved episode 6 because they finally saw a young Luke as a Jedi master making frogs float (argh!). The Jedi taught their pupils to suppress their feelings and to live without attachments, an attitude that proved fatal. Yet Jedi stans love the idea, probably because of the age-old adage of the lonesome cowboy who is too cool and aloof to care for anyone. They loved seeing Luke as an adult Jedi master alone and cut off from the very people who had been his life and purpose until then. He trained Grogu but didn’t play with him, didn’t allow him to be a child. It was the contrary of everything the character ever stood for - family, friendship, team spirit, loyalty. Of course that was not seen as “character assassination”, apparently that’s exactly what they wanted to see.
Tumblr media
Many Star Wars fans believe that Luke Skywalker and the Jedi stand in for certain values, which they claim as their own. These values are their own values; they have only chosen a person and a group to represent them. If you believe that Star Wars is about Good vs. Evil and that the Jedi are the heroes who always triumph, of course you will be disappointed by the new stories. The studios are not deliberately harming the franchise, it’s the fans who want the saga to fit their worldview. They hardly care for what the stories really tell them. Someone who e.g. is convinced that all Frenchmen are cheaters and liars will also see a Frenchman and see in him the embodiment of everything he despises; he will not care to get to know this man better, or to learn about his country and his culture. And if said Frenchman has success in his life and is popular, the worse. It’s unacceptable. And anyone who does not hate this particular man is an idiot.
Bigotry has many forms, it doesn’t only mean despising and not wanting to understand people from another race, religion, orientation etc. The Fandom Menace’s bigotry consists in worshipping the Jedi and hating anything that criticizes them. Bigotry is the firm conviction of being Good, and supporting who also is “Good”, whatever category those good people are supposed to belong to. A bigot is a stern denier of his own sins and inner darkness. Either you’re with him or against him. Bigoted people are capable of fighting tooth and nail against perceived “enemies” who threaten their ideal of the “goodness” they believe in and think they belong to. Unfortunately, Jedi stans have many channels on social media and many, many followers who would rather die than see the Jedi as anything but perfect. A perfect person does not go wrong, of course. Ever. Their perfection prevents them from questioning themselves. A lot of fans don’t even watch the pieces of media they criticize at all, but hate on them anyway because their influencers tell them they suck. Bullies do not care who they attack. They feel frustrated, they can’t handle their feeling of shame, and take it out on who is or seems most vulnerable. And the worst bullies are those who pretend they are being aggressive out of morality.
“Wokeism” is Not the Problem
After the hatred coming from the fans who disapproved hotly of The Last Jedi, the narrative of this film was tainted and instead of finishing all the narrative threads it had set up, it was plainly ignored in favour of a pure action film, flat and disappointing. The Rise of Skywalker ended not only the trilogy but the entire saga in a way that I can only call disgraceful. On both sides, hardly anyone really liked it. But was it hated? No, because the Jedi were portrayed as the heroes, with even one ridiculous scene where the ghost of Luke appears to Rey telling her how wrong he had been when he was still alive.
Just for comparison: very many fans of Joker didn’t understand the film’s point as well. Todd Philips answered with the sequel Folie à deux, which is a logical continuation of the first film and boldly asks the audience to look at themselves and their wrong interpretation. The reviews are mixed - as with The Last Jedi, apparently you can only love or hate that film -, but Folie à deux is, first of all, a good film. In time, when the controversy has calmed down, it will be remembered as an excellent piece of art. The Rise of Skywalker is just embarrassing, and there’s no way it can age well.
The saga was indeed tainted, but not by Disney. Toxic fans who flooded social media with hate after The Last Jedi and sent death threats or tearful resentment to the studios did, resulting in the production of the flattest, most low-quality and uninteresting film Star Wars has ever seen, obviously patched together as a try to “amend” for what didn’t need to be amended for in the first place.
Star Wars’ strength is constant weaving between Good and Evil, good guys showing dark sides and bad guys having a point, interacting and learning from one another instead of killing each other. It could be a dream for film studios and authors, because it offers such rich tapestry for storytelling: the possibilities seem endless. But every time anyone dares to criticize Jedi or to show that an alleged Bad Guy still has a bright spot in his heart, and that he might have his reason for turning his back on the Jedi, Jedi stans cry out to heaven as if an inconceivable blasphemy had occurred.
If you like the sequels, you’re an idiot “Reylo” who believes she can fix the bad guy. Kylo Ren alias Ben Solo was the most deep, complex and fascinating character of the sequels, who went through a deep and compelling transformation. And no, he was not fixed by a woman’s love. But if you understand his conflict and follow him hoping for him to come back to the Light, you just “don’t get it that he’s the villainTM who wants to seduce an innocent girl to become evil”.
Same thing with The Acolyte of course, because there’s a scene where we see the non-Jedi-not-quite-Sith taking off his clothes. Of course the Stranger was “evil”; he wanted an acolyte, i.e. he did not want to be alone. What kind of guy is that, who does not embrace his loneliness?! The Strager - a guy - was he coolest character of all in The Acolyte and the only “relationship” we saw there was one between man and woman. But if you like that show you’re apostrophized as woke (which is still a mild word), because the author is a lesbian and the actress portraying the protagonist identifies as non-binary. That is neither true nor does queerness have anything to do with the show’s quality.
Luke exposed himself both body and soul to the Emperor, first almost falling to the Dark Side himself and then almost dying in the process, because he wanted to “fix” the Bad Guy, aka his father. And he actually did.
In The Bad Batch, the character of Crosshair goes from belonging to the heroes to betraying them and then going back again. In the last season his relationship with Omega is evenly balanced, they break free from imprisonment together. It’s one of the show’s best parts. But they are no Jedi, so that show is not hated on.
Jedi stans expect Star Wars to “stick to its roots”, i.e. tell stories where morals are as clearly cut as in A New Hope. They don’t consider that that expectation was already beyond all hope when The Empire Strikes Back came out, with its infamous key scene and all its implications, including the failure and hypocrisy of the Jedi.
Action films have taught spectators that real heroism is defined by the “license to kill”, i.e. the good guy is recognizable from the fact that he has the right - or believes he has the right - to kill anyone who stands in his way. Jedi stans love the idea that Jedi are the good guys because, not having attachments, apparently that gives them the right and to decide who must be sacrificed by them “for the greater good”. I would like to see them in a situation where someone, maybe even someone they love, tells them “Oh well, now I’m going to sacrifice you for the greater good.” It’s absurd and unbelievably cruel to pretend that such an attitude has anything to do with good morals. If anything, it ought to be the victim who decides that they’re sacrificing their lives, not some Jedi or other hero who allegedly has the right to decide over life and death.
Luke Skywalker sacrificed himself over and over. He did debate to kill his nephew, but it was only a brief moment of panic on his side, he didn’t go through with it, and afterwards he felt so ashamed he exiled himself. Luke’s trademark characteristic was his compassion; we never see a Jedi act out of compassion. And believing that having no attachments because it gives you the licence to sacrifice someone “for the greater good” is everything but compassionate. But even the greatest Jedi and Luke stans don’t see any contradiction there.
Do the Jedi stans really expect a white male straight character as the lead? No. Most of them for instance were fine with Jyn Erso being the protagonist of Rogue One. But in that film, there was no Jedi. When the sequels, Obi-Wan Kenobi or The Acolyte came out, they were upset because the non-white, non-male, non-straight characters seem adamant to take the place of who Star Wars allegedly ought to be all about. Jedi stans want a story where they can be on the side of the “good guys”, follow them sitting comfortably on their couch or in a theatre seat, identify with them and pump their fist in the air when “their side has won”. A lot of them do appreciate more complex stories like Andor; but their untouchable Jedi do not appear there, so there is nothing to hate on.
The classic trilogy’s topics were Hope, Love and Faith (the Force representing and tying together all three). The prequels had very little of all of that, because they’re the story of a tragedy and a massive failure; but what fans who like them apparently have learned from the prequels it’s that it must be great to be a Jedi, lonely and aloof and the master over life and death. Who wants Hope, Love and Faith instead of cool heroes killing everybody who stands in the way of what they decide is right?
Where Do We Go from Here
Star Wars will never have the chance to truly evolve and renew itself as long as there are people who will cry blasphemy any time a film or tv show dares to portray one Jedi or the Jedi as a whole as anything but perfect. Try to tell a Jedi stan that the Jedi perhaps are not the Good Guys after all (starting with Luke Skywalker after his third film): it’s as telling a staunch Catholic that Jesus was not the Son of God. They will fight you literally like their soul depended on it.
The unpardonable fault, in the eyes of Jedi stans, is not diversity the way it’s often mistakenly interpreted; it’s the Disney studios portraying the Jedi Order, Luke, Boba, Obi-Wan etc. as humans instead of Good or Evil cardboard cut-outs. To them, that’s simply bad writing, and they sternly refuse to see any other angle; they identify with the allegedly Good Guys and now believe it’s up to them to put up a fight against the Bad Guys who make their heroes allegedly look like fools, i.e. who dare to take them from their pedestal by criticizing or at least humanizing them. It was the Jedi stans who built said pedestal. It wasn’t George Lucas or the Disney studios.
Most Jedi stans would not mind strong female characters, black, diverse characters, homosexuality etc.; as long as everyone stays in sidelines while the Jedi take the shine. Heated Star Wars discussions usually start with one side accusing the other of being misogynistic, homophobic etc. and the other side claiming that the responsible people at the studios are using the franchise to shove their “woke” agenda down their throats.
Instead of cancelling interesting character developments that were just getting started and ending entire trilogies after almost half a century on disturbingly flat notes, dear Disney Lucasfilm studios: please finally give Jedi stans what they want - a tv show or film trilogy that caters to them. Set it a few hundred years before the fall of the Republic, endow their precious Jedi with all imaginable virtues, let them make things float and have cool light sabre battles destroying some faceless, boring Bad Guy and then take off into the sunset. Tell these kinds of stories for the next decade, and maybe the Fandom Menace will finally be appeased.
Choose a diverse cast if you want: Jedi stans will hardly care. If a Star Wars show had Jedi for protagonists and these would be the infallible, all-wise superheroes their stans take them for, they won’t mind if these Jedi were black, Asian, female, lesbians or non-binary, with a few white straight people sprinkled throughout. They will swallow it hook, line and sinker.
In the meantime, please complete the stories that you enchanted us other fans with, which are actually epic and magical and centred around human connection and personal development. And leave the Jedi out of there.
Thank you.

Voiceless | Threads of Eternity
Tommy Shelby x Reader
Tumblr media
The True End
In the tranquil moments that followed, the Shelby family embraced the serenity of their newfound life. The twins, mischief dancing in their eyes, grew up amidst the rhythm of sewing machines and the warmth of a loving home. Y/N, ever the creative soul, found solace in her craft, designing intricate patterns that mirrored the tapestry of their family's journey.
As the Shelby legacy expanded, so did the bonds that tied them together. The twins, each with a unique spark inherited from their parents, ventured into their own paths, leaving imprints of the Shelby resilience in every endeavor.
The echoes of the past, though softened by time, lingered in the Shelby family's collective memory. They bore witness to a love that defied odds, a tale of redemption, and the resilience that defined the Shelby name.
Tommy, now a patriarch with a mantle of wisdom, navigated the challenges of the legitimate world with the same cunning that once ruled the streets of Small Heath. His gaze, however, always returned to Y/N, the woman whose love had transformed the trajectory of his life.In the dimly lit corners of the sewing shop, Y/N continued to weave dreams into reality. Her hands, seasoned by time and marked by the stitches of countless tales, crafted garments that whispered stories of love, loss, and triumph.
The Shelby family, their journey etched into the fabric of time, stood as a testament to the enduring power of love. As the sun set on Small Heath, casting golden hues upon the cobbled streets, the Shelby's found comfort in the threads of eternity that bound them together.
And so, in the tapestry of life, the Shelby saga continued – a tale woven with threads of resilience, love, and the indomitable spirit that defined the legacy of the Peaky Blinders.

okay, i have to talk about the way the locked tomb handles it's relationships because it's so fucking good it makes me sick. tlt has some of the deepest, most fucked up character bonds i've seen in fiction. and a big part of it is due to how it develops them, by their absence. Gideon and Harrow, the two leads of these books, don't talk to each other in TWO OF THE THREE BOOKS (hoping for their wedding in Alecto). Harrow and Pal (referencing the post i rb'd earlier) do the same thing where they don't talk properly in 2 books. Cam and Pal don't interact properly for one and a half of them. Ianthe and Crown are the same.
All of these relationships are then defined by what the characters do in absence of them, by the yearning of the bond rather than the bond itself. Camila tears up at least twice while listening to the voice messages Palamedes leaves for her. They fuse together to preserve something out of the shambling ruins of both of themselves. Ianthe is hard to read, and i don't fully know her objectives, but it's crystal fucking clear that they don't mean anything to her (one of if not the most ambitios people in the saga) without Crown. Harrow fucking LOBOTOMIZES HERSELF TO HAVE A CHANCE AT KEEPING GIDEON'S SOUL ALIVE. Pyrra is so defined by these shadows that she wears her best friend's body throughout an entire book (two, most likely).
The locked tomb is about love and grief and by god it shows that in its bonds

after reading some of shoes old meta Im realizing how unique the soul bond between trish & diavolo is...to my recollection soul bonds are literally not used for any non-Joestar characters..not even dio's kids get that even though he's a greater scope villain for. pretty much every part except 5 and then THEY get it and it's not even acknowledged until they get to Sardinia..the whole plan of la squadra is to use Trish to locate the boss and THEY DON'T KNOW SOUL BONDS EXIST. okay. okay. I demand a dubious canonicity jorge joestar family saga novel about their lineage that doesn't get to diavolo's birth until the last chapter. my god

Author Ask Tag
Thank you so much for the tag @aalinaaaaaa, and @tc-doherty ! Love these tags.
What is the main lesson of your story? Why did you choose it?
I’m really bad at determining a lesson, so most of the times I just… don’t, lol. I write because I have stories I want to tell, and although the characters learn valuable lessons, I don’t approach the story with a clear one I want to “teach” with it. I hope people take away something from it, but more like their own interpretations than my ideals and values.
But, if I squint, maybe Sasin’s lesson can be that you can’t be your best self for someone else. Which comes from a a relfection of some of my, the author’s, personal experiences. As all stories do imo. And a reason why I would choose it (if I could choose it instead of just putting it in instinctively, and unkowingly first) is because I hope people can resonate with it, and have an impact on their life even if a tiny one. Realise something about themselves and find solace in it or motivate them to grow.
2. What did you use as inspiration for your worldbuilding?
Mostly Korean mythology, shamanism, the Roaring Twenties, martial art movies/series/books and real-life mafia documentaries/ fictional gang wars and family sagas (prime example: Peaky Blinders). Although the ‘20s thing is just for the aesthetic and to establish the level of technological advancements (i.e.: no phones, no computers, lots of smoking, drinking and glitter and pompousness).
I basically combied everything I ever loved and was intrigued by since I was 12.
Plus I was always drawn to the brutal world of underworld workings where honour and “you have my word” still seemed to mean something. Where there was a kind of unspoken code they followed, yet they themselves weren’t heroes, nor necessarily good for anyone. Casual violance also attracted me as well, as being a naturally withdrawn, careful person in a fairly conservative enviroment who always longed to shout and punch her anger out rather than repressing it. It is in a sense a self-fulfillment fantasy, although none of the characters are similar to me lmfao.
3. What is your MC trying to achieve, and what are you, the writer, trying to achieve with them? Do you want to inspire others, teach forgiveness or help the reader grow as a person?
Liahn’s basic motivator is to perfect: others, her clan, the world and most harshly, herself. Nothing is good enough, nothing is just enough. She confronts everything and everyone to make her clan better. She firmly believes that mistakes equal failures. And failures are the warmbeds of incompetency. So she does everything to prove that notion wrong, and tries to fight her mother to change the clan, to make it better, safer, more just. She strives to perfect (reform) the system, make it so her people are not forced to risk their lives just to have a say in the clan’s future. In their future. Family bonds and romantic love are also key elements because Liahn’s idea of perfection does not include feelings. She may love her siblings, or the girl of her life, but she would never let herself admit it. She can’t. She’d die for them, and she want to reform for them, but she would rather sacrifice herself for the greater good than confront feelings. Feelings that cloud decisions and make every picture disordered, imperfect.
So, I mostly want to inspire people by her to soften their grip on the idea of perfection. To let themselves feel, and make mistakes without killing their own soul bit by bit. Be a little more gentle on themselves. To prove that perfection is found in imperfection. And that true harmony comes, when they can face that.
4. How many chapters is your story going to have?
I have only a rough estimation, but around 30.
5. Is it fan fiction or original content? Where do you plan to post it?
Original content, althought it started as a fanfiction to my friend lmao. And I’m almost certain I won’t want to publish this. Maybe somewhere online one day, when other stuffs are finished. We’ll see. But I mostly write this to have something finally finished, so as the first book I will complete, I wouldn’t truly be comfortable sharing it with a big audience yet. Keeping it to myself and friends for now. (Trying to write it for myself haha)
6. When did you start writing?
The very first version of this story was created in 2021, which is wild. I got to 19 chapters before I completely re-plotted and re-outlined it, lol. Plus when I decided to not continue it as a fanfic. It also sat in the backburner for 2-3 years, before I picked it up again. Since then I re-plotted it again a few times, although not to the extent when I first did it. It’s in a fairly alright state right now, and I intend to write the whole thing through.
7. Do you have any words of encouragement for fellow writers of writeblr? What other writers do you follow?
Write what you love, and write it because you love it. That’s the only single reason that matters and what I re-discover time after time. We all fall into the traps of the desire to please others, to listen to every external little voice and let ours hide in the back corner, quiet and forgotten. But it’s there, waiting for us to listen again. So sharpen your ears, and let it emerge. Listen to yourself, and let yourself love what you create. You can worry about what others will think, marketablity, wodcount, publishing, or simply just the accuracy of the content later. Have fun. Put all the silly weird shit in it. Go wild. Just do it and love it.

one week post KOA reading and not surprisingly, i am still mourning... spoilers ahead but i need to let go of all these feelings.
i miss this new family i discovered, the excitement of the next chapter or the next book, the anguish, the tears, the cliffhangers, the surprises, the couples and friendships dynamics. i miss everything about tog!
my brain is still processing aaaallllll the events of 7000 pages and a lot of things are settling when i could not process everything while still reading the books…
but to me, this saga is a masterpiece for so many reasons. as a woman, there are so many things validating in these books, i don’t even know where to begin with.
the sorority in tog is still mind blowing to me, probably my favorite part of the whole saga, that we clearly don’t talk about enough. the ending with aelin walking to meet her people with her girlfriends, marching with them as equals still gives me goosebumps. aelin and lysandra friendship (bestfriends and soulmates), aelin and ansel friendship (free young spirits), aelin and manon friendship (rivals then equal queens), aelin and yrene friendship (sisters), aelin and nesryn friendship (admiration and role models), aelin and elide friendship (bonded by fate and a love for the same kingdom) are so precious to me... i could write entire essays about them. i adore how all the female characters just fell in love with aelin, saw her vision of a better world and just followed her to the end. and then, the thirteen, do i even need te explain myself? i think a part of me will forever mourn them. the heartbreak i felt after their death is unspeakable. i never read a book with such flawed and beautiful characters. asterin (her hunter and her whichling), sorrel, vesta, imogen, ghislaine, faline, fallon, edda, briar, thea, kaya and linnea have my whole heart.
marion and josefin are branded in my very soul. their characters had so few pages but gods, how their sacrifice still resonate in me...
then the different journeys of all the characters… chaol has a special place in my heart, despite everything, despite all these things being said about him. he had so many flaws, did so many mistakes, but what a journey, what a fight against depression and disability, what an end… he was so lost and tormented throughout thousands of pages, even while being passionately in love with celeana (not aelin!), and is so appeased at the end, married and soon to be a dad… i rarely felt so proud of someone, fictional character or not. i am convinced chaol is one of the best written characters of the saga.
i read a lot of mean things about aedion too and that just broke my heart because the man redefined loyalty all by himself. he lost everything he was taught to believe in, whored himself with the enemy for his people while believing he lost his entire family and kingdom, lost every men and women in koa as a general (his very essence as a person!) and still held the line for hundreds of pages like rowan told him to do so. I. JUST. DON'T. GET. WHY. he is so hated for some fights with lysandra (that i don't excused!) in a horrific context, in the middle a many battles and thousands of casualties. just reread aedion's arc during koa : the only thing he experienced for hundreds of pages is failure, death, grief, terror and guilt, believing he failed terrasen again. LEAVE. MY. MAN. ALONE. plus, aedion is a bisexual icon, and he slayed the whole books, period.
same thing with lorcan. oh my lorcan… i won’t even begin with him but gods, what awful things i read about him… i don't know why but i fell really hard for this character, despite knowing very few things about him. he was far from being perfect, we agree on that. but what a redemption arc. him being finally at peace at the end, after 500 years of wars, (self-)hatred and being used and fooled by a valg bitch queen, made me tear up as mush as sam's death (shocking, i know but i don't make the rules).
i think, surprisingly regarding our society, people were harsher with the male characters than the female ones. aelin, manon, lysandr and elide lied and did mistakes too, yet somehow, people forgave them immediately. i think we should reflect on that.
a few words about baby dorian too... i think his end was my biggest and bitter disappointment at the end of the whole saga. i can't even tell how his ending wreaked me. he is the one character not at peace at the end of this whole journey. his city is utterly ruined, he is alone in his big castle (the very place where he lost the first woman he sincerely loved and the very place where he was enslaved) with the thought he killed the man he hated his whole life but somehow wasn't the bad guy, his friends are all married or happily in love, even manon won back the witches and her lost kingdom... but dorian is lonelier than ever and that does not sit right with me. he was such a hopeful and loving young man at the beginning of the saga but is broken at the end... i NEED a sequel, he deserves one, more than anyone.
and rowan, oh rowan... i think "love" is not strong enough to define aelin and rowan relationship. the way they overcame depression together long before falling in love with each other is one of the most beautiful thing of this saga. they just saw each other. i love how rowan accepted aelin 1000000%, flaws, scars, fire and all. i love how he never overstepped. like many people, i read acotar before tog and thought no one could surpassed rhysand but how wrong i was... to me, rowan is the best for so many reasons. he never took decisions for aelin, always respected her every moves, respected her pace, never lied to her. i am emotional writing this because him saying "aelin is my heart... my fireheart"... *sob* aelin loves rowan with every bones and cells in her body but rowan's love for aelin? i don't know, there's something about it, i can't find the right words... i don't think i'll ever find an other rowan in an other book. rowan was intensity, hatred, heartbreak, depression, longing, guilt, pain, redemption, learning, harshness, softness, falling in love, crossing an ocean for the woman he loved, giving her an armada when he had nothing, tattooing wyrdkeys in her back to bring her back to him, waiting, loving, loving, loving again and again and again. rowan is suddenly the sweetest and most beautiful name i've ever heard. rowan is love and so much more. rowan is aelin's heart and soul and the key to this new world because aelin without rowan is fear and too far gone. rowan is everything. and what i am about to write seems crazy but i think because there's so much things happening in tog, so much characters loving each other, so many couples we rooted for, we took for granted rowan's love and actions and he somehow became a secondary character - crazy, right? i think we loved passionately his character (especially in hof and qos) but somehow forgot on the way how utterly incredible and unique he is. him saying in qos aelin must build a theater in terrasen after the war and then him offering it to her as a mate / wedding gift at the end of koa? i mean, our boy is a man of his word and i love him so much for it. WE TOOK ROWAN FOR GRANTED AND DID NOT GIVE HIM ENOUGH CREDIT.
anyway, i could write so many more things about so many characters and scenes that broke me in these books (my same is sam cortland and i am not afraid) but you got the idea.
tog is the best saga i've ever read and i am not the same person anymore after reading it. i'll take time to heal. but how grateful i am i have a good run with all these characters...

Clouds. Trees. Leaves. Green. Gray. Brown. Blue.
There was a vast amount of white and gray clouds of different shades, shapes, and sizes in the grayish blue serene sky. But it stopped in the middle abruptly. To clash along with the different green tree tops. With their unique colors and forms that included different greens and browns. Looking around everything was damp. Drops of water were everywhere dripping beautifully.
Some would probably say it just rained. But you would say the sky had just stopped crying, but that was just yor thinking on the matter. The nature here all clashed so beautifully, just as beautiful and unique as any other place. The place that comes to your mind though, was New York, your home state.Though it was the total opposite of the place you were at now. You still thought they were beautiful in their own way.
The nature and uniqueness were all you could see and could think about at the moment. As you sat in the backseat of her stepfather's car. While the seats before you were being preoccupied by two men. Who were different in their own way but alike in some ways. Right now though the two were bickering continuously. The two had been playfully bantering the whole trip. The two men were your stepfather who was driving, and then next to him was your godfather. Your godfather who you saw as your uncle and called him Uncle Will. Who happened to be sitting in the passenger seat.
"Are we there yet? " William Johnson, your uncle whined to her step-father for the tenth time during your ride. He seemed to be bored at the moment more than anything. Because when he wasn't stuck in his head, or it wasn't a serious matter... he joked around and spoke a lot. Soon you could hear your step-father take a deep breath that was filled with irritation. Seeming to be over with Will's antics, knowing that he was about to joke about a song having hear it before during the drive. Hearing them you looked from the window. You turn to put your attention on the two. Watching the two of them argue again. Being it was one of your sources of entertainment during the drive.
"Man, if you ask me one more time. Imma come from way back when and smack the shit outta you," your stepfather Max Wilson yelled with agitation as he turned to William with an agitated look. After a moment Max then turned to put his focus back on the road. Then and there you could tell he was done with this drive altogether. You could also feel his emotions, irritation. tiredness, but also amusement. That he was hiding very well.
"Here we go again," you had heard a mutter come from the seat next to you. As you soon felt a nudge under your hand. There they were next to you was a black cat with its ears flickering and tail swaying behind them. As they nudge their head under your hand trying to get your attention. The black cat was male. He went by the name of Yoongi, and he was also known as Suga. Who happened to also be your familiar. Looking down, you placed a hand on his head to pet him. You then sent him a discreet nod as you continued to watch the two men in front of you begin arguing again.
"Why you gotta be so rude?" William sang with a pout. As he leaned his head back on the head rest of his seat looking at Max with his wide dark brown eyes. He was being overly dramatic at the moment. But if he wasn't he wouldn't be Will. He was a man who was humorous and a jockster. But when the time called for it he could be serious. But still even then he'd tried to crack a joke to lighten the mood. This caused you to smile thinking about Will and his jokes and humor.
"Why you gotta be so freaking annoying?" Max grumbled with tense shoulders. Even though Max was agitated, he couldn't stop the smile that spread across his face. While he playfully bantered with his best friend. Max was the serious one of the two. But he could still joke around when the time calls for it. He could still loosen up when he wanted to, but take charge when needed.
"You both sound like an old married couple," you voiced with a chuckle. As you looked at the two men in front of you. Before turning your attention to Yoongi. Who was now climbing into your lap making himself comfortable. With a smile you began to pet him as he purred and lied on your lap. It always made you smile when he was affectionate. Being that he was only affectionate with you.
"Well damn, why you gotta be so rude too, Y/n," William sang again but to you. Turning his head to you with an exaggerated pout on his face. While Max playfully whined like a child. Max then looked up at you through the rear view mirror with his own over exaggerated pout. These two when alone were funny, but together they were hilarious. They could make anyone laugh if they wanted to. Which they did often.
"Why do you guys gotta act like five-year old's Uncle Will? " You retorted back looking at the two with an innocent smile. Shaking your head you looked down quickly at Yoongi petting him trying to hide your giggles. Not being able to help it but egg them on. Yoongi though didn't seem to care as he laughed loudly.
"Oh burn," Yoongi chuckled with his heavy accent. Looking at the two men with a tilt of his head. He was always aggravated with the two and their jokes. But he couldn't deny they were good men. They have done so much for him like you have. He was happy to be a part of this little family and was grateful that they accepted him.
"Oh, shut up you pet," William snapped at Yoongi jokingly. William had a smirk upon his face. Knowing how much Yoongi despised being called a 'pet'. So, William used it every chance he could to get a rise out of the familiar. It was always in a joking manner. Yoongi knew but he really couldn't stand being called 'pet'. Which you could see even in his cat form you could tell he was angered. But you could tell his anger was rising through the bond you had. You also knew he was grumpy because he hadn't sleep that much during the ride. Having been trying to keep you calm. He knew how nervous you were because of the big change you were going through. Everyone knew you hated change.
"That, that is just cold," Maxed started with a shake of his head. While trying to ignore William and Yoongi. The two could go at each other continuously just like himself and William. But the two can get harsh with their jokes. Which Max really didn't want to hear at the moment. So, he tried to keep his attention off them. But it was no use as he heard Yoongi from your lap.
"Call me pet one more freaking time,''Yoongi growled, ready to pounce on William. Though before he could you were quick to pull him close to your chest. As you began to rub behind his ears down his back. Knowing the gesture would calm him. Which led Yoongi to fall into your chest. As he let out a loud purr. William was once again about to say another insult but was stopped by the glare you sent his way. Doing this caused your eyes to change into a reddish orange. Being that whenever you were feeling an intense emotion. At that moment you were annoyed immensely. Seeing this caused William to clear his throat. Not wanting to invoke you and turned his attention to Max.
"Max, well she is your daughter," William said, turning in his seat. Turning his teasing on Max once again. Also changing the subject off of Yoongi. Who was content in your arms. Seeming to be falling asleep as he fell deeper in your arms. Which caused you to smile as you continued to pet him behind his ears.
"What's that got to do with anything?" Max questioned William with a raised brow not denying the accusation. You though didn't contribute to the conversation. Because you was too busy hugging Yoongi close to you and petting him still. Yoongi then nudged you lazily under your chin. Seeming to finally fall asleep as he laid against your chest purring contently.
"Well she must have gotten it from somewhere," William insisted. Which you thought was kind of true as you listen to the two. Yes, Max wasn't your biological father. But Max was the closest thing you had to one. Him having raised you from a young age. So over the years of him raising you, you had picked up some of his habits. Not much but a few that you've carried along with you for years. The two of you never had a problem with it. But William brings it up any chance he gets to tease the two of you.
"You know she's got a mother right. She contributed too," Max retorted. Trying to take the blame off of himself. But Max soon shook his head, seeming to try to rid himself of memories. The memories of the past that haunted him at times. That he had gotten over. But he still had trouble remembering and being scared of it at times.
"Yea but that was one crazy bitch. She's nothing like her and you both raised her. So... she must've gotten it from you bro," William insisted once again. William knew what he said was true and wanted to get his pointed across on the matter. He knew you were nothing like your mother. Having been there in your life for a long time. He was there since you were a baby being friends with your mother for a long time. He was the one who had introduce Max and your mother together. Though he didn't know what happened to your mother. Neither men knew what happened to your mother. But they did know they were happy to have you in their life.
"I hate to agree but you're right man. She's better," Max praised you. As he sent you a soft sincere smile in the rearview mirror. Which you returned happily. Before you looked back out the window. Watching as the scenery went past as the car moved. But soon you looked down, stuck in your thoughts.
You were always happy when Max and William reminded you that you were nothing like your mother. Your mother being a cruel woman. She was nice the first years of your life. But when you started showing signs of magic... she changed drastically. Shaking your head you quickly turned to look out the window watching the trees and sky. Pulling Yoongi closer to you with a sigh kissing his furry head. Smiling when he purred. You were hoping that this move would be good for you. Hoping it would help you let go of the past and start seeing a new happy furture.

At the moment, you were sitting in your new bed. As Yoongi laid contently in your lap purring. You were watching with amazement and concentration. Practicing your magic to put things in their appropriate places. While watching your magic as it floated things in the air; books, clothes, supplies, all of your things were floating everywhere from boxes. But as you were practicing your magic something came to your mind. You were so grateful for your magic. What would you do without it? But as you thought of that statement. In a quick moment you started to remember your past. The past you so desperately wanted to forget. The past that made you who you and what you were today. A very powerful witch. But what would have happened if she would have taken your powers? What would you have done then?

Sitting in the corner of a basement you were tied up with rope. Your crying being muffled by tape over your mouth. A woman was standing in front of you, this woman was your mother. She was pacing back and forth vigorously, in panic reading the book in her hands. A book that you learned over the years was a grimoire.
You knew why her mother was panicking. She was panicking because she knew she didn't have enough time. Enough time to do what she had planned with the ritual she had set up for you. The reason being because Max and William would be on their way to save you soon. She was think of what she could do but came up with dead ends.
The reason you knew this was because you could hear her. More specifically, you could hear her thoughts. Her thoughts at the time were erratic and chaotic. But with her thoughts in such a state. it made it easy for you to find out many things from reading them. Being that her walls were down making her vulnerable along with them being loud. One thing that you found out was about the ritual she performed on you the night before. After she had used a spell on you to make you sleep.
The ritual that she had already done on you had made you more powerful than ever. You found out that was all part of her plan she had set up. You were just a vessel to hold the magic. Then she would extract it from you along with your own magic. Which made you weep from her spot in the corner.
That was the night you had been the most scared in your life. But it seemed to be the night that everything had changed for you. You have obtained more power than ever. Then without you knowing your magic had called out to Yoongi your familiar. You then ended up bonding with him as a witch and familiar. Who had been the one to take down your mother. When William and Max found you that night you were sobbing in the arms of Yoongi. Who had untied you and was trying to comfort and sooth you as he rocked you back and forth. While there was a pile of dust in front of you both where your mother once stood.

"Hey Y/n. It's okay, come back to me. Come on," Yoongi's deep accent voice shook you from the past you were remembering. In front of you was a man. Who had long ebony hair, dark brown eyes, two black cat ears, and a tail swaying behind him. It took a moment, but you soon realized it was Yoongi in his human form. He was wearing his signature color black, a black shirt and a black pair of pants.
"Suga?" You sniffled as tears fell down your cheeks. As you looked around to find everything now floating mid air. Having stopped when you got caught up in your memory. This wasn't the first time this had happened. But everytime it happened you always had Yoongi there to help you through it. Which always made you grateful for your familiar.
"Hey sweetheart," Yoongi soothed. He placed a hand on your cheeks drying your tears and to try and keep you grounded. Looking around Yoongi then with a flick of his wrist, made everything go to their proper place with his own magic. The magic the both of you shared together.
"Was I out of it again," you whispered curiously. Looking into his dark brown eyes wondering what had happened. Sometimes when this happened you could be in a daze and not know what was happening around you. Which caused Yoongi to worry for you.
"Yes, but it's okay," Yoongi reassured you. He then reached behind you and began to pull the blanket on the bed back. He then gently pushed you to lay back into bed. He knew it was a little earlier, but he wanted you to get enough sleep for your first day of school tomorrow. He was worried for you but had faith in you. He had faith that you would get through this and would come out on top.
"Let's get you to bed, okay you've got school tomorrow my little witch," He reminded you softly. As he pulled the blankets over you. Making sure you were comfortable in bed.
"Okay," you sighed. As you began to get comfortable. Looking at the ceiling you were stuck in your thoughts. But your attention is grabbed when you hear a wisp of wind and a soft crack sound. Signifying that Yoongi was shifting into his cat form. When he was down shifting into his black cat form Yoongi then jumped into bed with you. Allowing you to hold him close.
"Yoongi?" You whispered as you petted Yoongi. Who was laying on your chest and purring as he rubbed his head under your chin. He was trying desperately to calm you. Which seemed to be working as you sighed snuggling closer to him.
"Yes Y/n," Yoongi answered. Looking up at you with a tilt of his head, He was curious wondering what you would ask him.
"You won't ever leave or hurt me right ?" You whispered the question that was plaguing her mind at the moment. As you looked down to her familiar of two years. Yoongi was quick to look up at you. He didn't put it against you to ask him such a question after having your mother betray you. You always seemed to ask him every once in a while. Which broke his heart. But he was quick to answer without hesitation.
"Never I'll always be here for you Y/n no matter what. Now get some sleep," Yoongi promised you. As he nudged you under your chin and began to purr. Which led you to fall into a deep dreamless sleep to the sound of Yoongi's purring.
