How could he be gone?

Your beloved husband, the one who you thought wouldn’t ever leave you.

He was immortal, you thought.

He couldn’t leave this life. But now as you sit in the middle of the massive bed, coldness wrapping around your body like a snake squeezing its prey…needing his strong arms to protect you, the realization hits.

Elvis really is gone.

Your voice cracks into a whimper, an ache stabbing into your chest. A pained sob rips out of your throat as you bury your face into your palms.

Your heart wilts in its cage as life around you begins to crash down.

“N-No…no…” Weakly whispering into the still calmness of his bedroom. You shake your head in utter disbelief.

The four walls that hold so many memories being the only thing holding you together by a string.

His health was declining, you knew that but you also thought he would be okay. The way he loved you made you think he was going to be alright because of how his love felt so strong and full of life, telling you all of life's truth.

But God, you were blind.

He was being eaten alive.

“It’s nothin’, baby. Jus’ a bit tired.” He would reassure you. He just had a long day but truth was banging at the back of your head, screaming the fact that he would be gasping for air sometimes, when you’re not around. Swaying on his heel and toe trying not to faint when he stands.

You were oblivious…oblivious to what tragedy would come your way because he didn’t want to worry you, he didn’t want to have his little love get all panicked about him.

He wanted you to be happy.

Now, you long for that happiness.

You long for him to come back.

''rotten little brat, dragging your poor father into this.." the man hung loosely from the edge of the ballpit "not so bored anymore........ are we?"

oswalds eyes darted between the monster and his father, hot tears boiling behind his eyelids threatening to spill at any moment despite him. his face scrunched up instinctively

the beasts mouth opened wider

"..harder...."

its gooey throat relaxing, beckoning, hungry

its outstretched paw kneads at the air, long sickled claws poking and sliding through dense fabric

going to horribly disappoint u i imagine. i fullyyy understand the appeal of fyozai but to me and my canon-sexual brain, i think its interesting as far as like. fyodor is a little obsessed with dazai bc he buys into dazais pretence of inhumanity, and is desperately searching for someone on his own level (not just intelligence, but the lacking humanity arising from his unnatural long life and his ability in general), and has recently been disappointed that dazai is in fact human, and thus prone to human error. from dazais side its like, theres a certain level of intrigue behind being challenged, given the rarity, but i think most of the time, and especially more recently, his main emotion abt this guy is just stress
