You were biting your nails right now, looking everywhere but at your friends, what a topic, huh?

“hey, your boyfriend already invited you?”

And there was the question, you just looked lazily at them “uh, sure”

The truth was that you hadn't been talking to Miles for a week or so, and this was exactly why.

You always understood that maybe he didn't like a lot of things about high school, and you never complained about it, but this time, it was something important to you, and he didn't seem to care.

"baby, it's just a dance, I don't understand why you're acting like it's such a big deal." he said while not even looking at your direction.

"maybe it's a big deal that you're being a jerk about this."

Yeah, that conversation didn't end well, you haven't heard from him since.

The thing was, you don't do a lot of couple things publicly, and it's slowly starting to affect your mind, maybe he didn't want to be seen with you, or someone couldn't see him with you, the thought alone causing you to shiver. 

You spent the rest of the day distracting yourself with your friends and your homework, secretly waiting for a message from him to appear on your phone.

It did, but definitely not what you expected.

And watching as you said sit to the dog in Spanish, French, and Japanese, complete shock and happiness painted on your face as you laughed and laughed, adoration painted on his.

So how is it that you caught him multiple times all over the girl, the same girl he had a pass with, rumor has it they were “casually” sleeping together before you ever entered the picture you know it was deeper than that. To him “it wasn’t that big of a deal and he was just being nice.” You had to constantly shift your morals just so you could be happy with him, he knew you hated it, he knew the disgust you felt with yourself every time you’d go back with him. But you loved him so it's alright.

You knew the irritation and anger that bubbled up inside of him when you'd ask “Are you unhappy in our relationship?” or “Am I annoying you? I'm sorry” but he loves you so he's got to deal with it, right?

And no matter how many times you believed he cheated he was stable, nothing in your life is stable but him. So maybe that’s why you feel you always go back to him. And only him. Because, to you, there's nobody better than him.

MCL New Gen Ep. 8 Review!

Wow (yes that's all I have to say in this section this time...)

As per usual, everything goes below the cut (I'm a little late again, so sorry, life's been busy with mental issues and work lol)

I'm just going to start right away with my thoughts

When I first started the episode, at first I thought that it wasn't THAT bad, the vibes felt like a group of friends just joking around, roasting each other etc, Roy didn't feel uncomfortable to me at the beginning, more like "haha yeah guys I get it, so funny"

With my own group of friends we have all kinds of inside jokes and we often make fun of each other for silly things

But soon after that, I started feeling EXTREMELY uncomfortable, because I'm sure that the event could've slide if the characyhas STOPPED there, instead, they all just kept on going and making really fucking weird jokes?? I'm not going to quote them, because I'd rather avoid remind others, but I'm referring specifically to one that Thomas made

Speaking of Thomas, he was the worst in this episode, making werid-ass "jokes", being the "mastermind" with all of it, treating it as a "special" and "exciting" undercover mission?? wtf is wrong with you?

Also, I get that he knows a lot, is a great hacker etc, but as someone that struggles with paranoia (I've gotten better with it compared to how I was just a few months ago) I don't like it, why is he literally spying on his co-workers? And most of all, revealing their secrets like that?

Considering that we had (VERY FEW) options to express our discontent/disagreement/uncomfortableness during the episode, the writers KNEW that what they were doing wasn't good, I swear it could've went in a different and more positive direction SO EASILY, but instead they decided to make everyone sound like a creep, and make Amanda look like a party pooper or something, just for being reasonable?

Also, honestly, if they're all such good friends then sure, as long as all of them are fine with it, they can joke about anything and it shouldn't be my business, but since they kept on going DURING WORK HOURS, It was horrible.

Well, of course... We start the episode with him being shirtless again, like others have pointed out, I wish we could've said "yes, it actually does make me uncomfortable that you're walking around the office half-naked" but noo all we could say is "I don't mind" or "I've gotten used to it" (which is true, but still that's not very professional?? I get having each our own chair, but at least the rest of us are dressed 😔)

this was one of the biggest "wtf" moment to me, like ??? are you SANE or NOT?? Bro just go back to work and let that be, why involve pretty much everyone in the office on this stupid thing? what plan??? I felt so sorry for Roy, because seriously what he does in his own privacy shouldn't be entertaining to us, we weren't supposed to know about it, but Thomas being annoying had to go and reveal everything, maybe ruining the fun for Roy too?? Like, literally zero respect for privacy

Again, if we had these lines of dialogue, the writers KNEW what they were doing. So disappointed.

Also everyone else being told this and then acting like it's not that big of a deal? I would like to see them in Roy's position. Maybe then they'd understand, since they all want to pretend that it's not that bad. Also Roy clearly asked them to stop and move on from it, but they didn't want to because it was sOoO funny :/

Like at this point I'd ALMOST hope that they all get exposed for something like Thomas exposed Roy, so that they get a taste of their own medicine, but since this isn't real life it'll most likely never happen :/

errr,, sure,,, right after they tried to get us to join them and insisting that it's going to be a fun experience, wtf?

They won't FORCE you but they'll "peer pressure" you in a way :/

Okay well this did make me laugh a little, probably the only funny thing all of them said during the ep, the rest was just icky, to say the least

They said they didn't make him neurodivergent but come on now????? Is this a coincidence after another?

Also Candy going "When will i ever get the chance?" to swim naked, you literally have a pool at home girl, what are you even talking about 😭🙏🏻

Last thing I'll add before moving on to Jason's part of the episode (I have some more to say about the situation of the episode at the end) is Brune going "what is wrong with you??" After Roy splashed us with the water gun

GIRL??? BFFR???!!! THAT'S INSANE TO YOU???? WHAT ABOUT YOUR LACK OF RESPECT FOR PRIVACY WHAT THE HELL!!!! Sorry for swearing so much this time but can you blame me?? what other kind of reaction can one have 😭😭⁉️

About Jason

Sooo this was at the beginning of the episode! I'm loving every moment and every bit of the story with Jason, I really really really hope we'll end up with a more soft storyline with him, I've already said it before but I really don't want his story to turn into something extremely sexual, where that's all there is to the relationship

I'll genuinely quit his route if that happens, because as an asexual I just can't bring myself to enjoy that kind of content (if it's about other characters then I don't mind, but since our Candy is supposed to be "us" I'd still feel uncomfortable :( I've also given Petronilla so many of my own traits that it would be kind of difficult for me to differentiate completely)

Of course, so far, it seems that he's more gentle than he appears to be, so hopefully they'll keep it that way :(

I don't mind a little spice here and there, it's fun, but as a hopeless romantic I hope it'll be a sweet story in the end,, I don't think I'll say this enough haha,,

Two things, did his tattoo leak before or you're all really good at guessing?? And now I have to go back and update my other drawings... Yeah I won't do that but i'll try to keep it in mind (I still forget 'Nilla's freckles sometimes so not sure if I'll be able lol)

NOOOO I REALLY THOUGH THIS WAS REAL!!! I'm glad it wasn't because it would've been TOO SOON, but omg I was saying "What the fuck" repeatedly 😭🙏🏻 The scene was everything, but now it got me wondering which parts of it were real, and which were in our imagination? Like, when does the real part end and rhw fantasizing start?? Because I'd like if the only thing she imagined was the kiss, since everything esle was way too cute 😭😭

I haven't edited any of the recent Illustrations but I really want to do this one!! The only thing is that Petronilla should be on a stool or something because my girl is NOT that tall lmao

He looks so good too I'm so glad 😭🙏🏻 I'm always afraid after what they did to Leiftan's illustration in ANE 🥲 Like, so few of them are good, most look fcking weird to me 😭🙏🏻

The only thing I wish they made better was the different hair colors on our candy, sometimes they look so weird and out of place with the lighting :/

They should adjust the curves and all that, if you know what I mean, because the details get lost in the transition from one color to another

Now that I feel like I've said pretty much all that came to mind, I want to finish by saying how everything that went bad in this episode could've been avoided by having the "same" ending (us at the pool/spa/whatever with our LI's)

If they really wanted to, they could've kept the first part of the episode (Thomas exposing Roy's secret that he swims naked)

BEFORE you get the wrong idea, I'd make that stop right after a little bit of friendly teasing (very little) and then I'd simply make the other characters interested in the idea of swimming naked or something, like they wanted to try it out

For Devon, idk how things are at that point if you're on his route, but since he's good friends with Roy, he could've asked him to let him try it, and maybe he'd invite candy too, not sure if that'd make sense

For Thomas, since from my understanding they end up on the beach, it could've went a similar way where him and candy want to try it out but maybe they didn't think to ask Roy to go to the pool, so instead they decided to go to the only other place that came to mind?

I'm not sure how Amanda's route goes, but I think it would still be the same thing since she wasn't interested in the pool anyway, and between girls I guess being naked before each other is different/more normal? (correct me if I'm wrong, I might've been born as one but since I'm trans I've always struggled with this kind of thing, always felt uncomfortable in swimsuits etc so I had a different kind of experience 💔)

While for Roy and Jason's route, they could've started the same, actually Jason's part could've stayed the same, idk how Roy's goes but since he's the one with the pool keys it just makes sense? (Sorry if I'M not making sense or if I'm writing these in a confusing way, I'm trying to be brief but I don't know if what I'm saying is something already in the episodes or not, I play on Jason's route after all 🥲)

So basically, centering the episode instead of spying on our coworker, into making us curious about the experience and try it for ourselves

Oh well, could've been should've been it's all done now and we know we won't get a change, let's all pretend nothing happened and hope that if something similar was programmed for upcoming episodes, that they'd change it (even a little) based on the current feedback 🙏🏻

Also, this is a non-depair AU, here Monokuma is not a killing machine, but he is still that bitch silly teddy bear I like so much

Hajime Hinata

Getting into a relationship with Hajime may not be too easy since he tent to make a big deal about you being an ultimate while he is just from the reverse course, but at the end he can overcome all his insecurities and anxiety and just enjoy the fact that the person he likes reciprocate the feeling

Hajime finds really interesting your talent, he is really respectful over it and it would take him a while to get comfortable enough to just feel at ease to visit your lab or heard about whatever you are working on without having that bitter feeling of inferiority

Hajime likes hearing you talking about whatever you are working on or all the ideas you have, he may don't understand it at its fullest and probably get lost most of the time, or sometimes he even finds some of your projects silly or even unnecessary, but he just can't say no when you look so passionate and/or happy with all your project, he likes seeing you that way

Still, when he notice a quite big unusual teddy bear on your lab he can't help but be weird out, a million of questions start to run throught his mind without even being able to ask any of them, but the main questions is why? why a teddy bear? why that design? why that smile? just why?

Is more probably that Monokuma end up asking him why is he staring at him like that before Hajime even has the opportunity to put his thoughts in order, and honestly he is just even more confused, Hajime end up trying to avoid and ignore Monokuma as much as he can and just ask you what is that thing (what is dificult since Monokuma finds his behavior highly disrespectful and is just making him more and more angry)

Even when you explain your reasoning behind creating something like Monokuma it doesn't matter, he will still feel confused and a little uncomfortable with Monokuma, although there is a diference on his reaction at your answer depending on your reason, if you created Monokuma as a simple funny project Hajime will find it quite idiotic (not that he will tell you, but you can see it on his expression), but if it was because you wanted one assistant or even just company then he will understand, still he won't get along with Monokuma for a while

Hajime is contantly asking you why in hell have you give Monokuma that personality, he just doesn't understand why would you want to have someone so annoying around, if it is because you found it funny he will feel conflicted but doesn't say anything

It would take a long time for Hajime to just even feel comfortable around Monokuma, and there are high chances that he will just try to avoid him as much as he can, even if that means not going to your lab, but with your help and patience he may just grow to tolerate him and maybe Hajime and Monokuma will be able to get along with each other, bothering each other in a more friendly way (but just a little, Monokuma insist that they are friends while Hajime always deny it)

Kokichi Ouma

Once you start a relasionship with Kokichi you can be sure that he does love you, he won't accept to be in a relationship if he isn't sure about his feelings, and just like how he does love you he does loves your talent, Kokichi finds you fascinating and grows to love quite a lot of you and your talent is one of the things that have catched his attention since the start

Even so, he doesn't pay much attention whenever you decide to explain what are you working on or what you have created to him, he normally just do it when is something that he finds really interesting, not that he doesn't respect or love your talent, is just that if he doesn't find it interesting the he has no reasons to pay attention to it (however, he may remember some of the things you tell him even if he doesn't find it that interesting, even when he says that he doesn't care he is actually listening to you)

That is why, when he found a weird two colored teddy bear he imediatly put his full attention to it, even if the teddy bear was doing nothing other than just standing there is something that catched his attention and suddenly he is asking you everything about it, joking about its weird looks and even touching it

It can be either that you turn on the little teddy bead robot or that he answer to his behavior (a little mad for Kokichi's disrespectful behavior), in any case is something that is going to take Kokichi off guard and will end up scaring him a little (but he will hide it and completely deny it if you or Monokuma point it out)

Despite the initial shock it doesn't take much time for Kokichi to start just talking to Monokuma, teasing him for being a teddy bear, messing with him to make him mad and asking way too much things about his creation and creator, even if you try to answer the questions he is pretty much ignoring you right now even insisting that he is talking to Monokuma right now, not you and that is rude to just interrupt others when they are talking

There is only two ways this could end, that Monokuma and Kokichi end up being enemies or the best friends ever, and is probably going to happen in that order, at first Kokichi can find his superior and sassy attitude annoying, specially because Monokuma always takes back everything Kokichi tells him, if Kokichi tease him then Monokuma does it back, if he tries to make him mad he respond with the same

Not matter with what purpose you created Monokuma, as a simple project or to have an assistant, now, thanks to those two, your lab is always a loud mess, enemies or friend is the same, what change is how the mess is, and once they become friends whenever your lab is quiet and peaceful you can be sure that is because is more likely that those two are out in their way to mess with someone or everyone, they don't discriminated, there are high chances that you'll have to apologize in their name more than once, still not everything is bad they can actually have time where they play really soft and calm jokes and pranks with you and Kokichi still wants to have time for just the two of you

I won't lie to you; this is just my brutally honest opinion on Jake.

At first, he would get bothered by it and might even be annoyed on some days.

Jake doesn't understand why and how on earth you can't make a decision on picking anything, or how you always say you're going to do this thing and then completely forget about it 15 minutes later.

But he has more important things to deal with, so he doesn't show that he's bothered by them.

"Bae! Why don't you throw the empty toothpaste away?" Jake asked one night

"I'm so sorry, I keep forgetting about that. Sorry, babe, I'm sorry."

Jake decided to let it go; it was just toothpaste, right? What is the big deal?

And then later on, he noticed you lingering in the bathroom a bit longer, how you always touch the toothpaste to make sure it's not empty, and how you also DOUBLE check that.

Everything turns into a big mess when Jake sees you having a breakdown from your trip to the supermarket.

When you tell him you went there to buy toothpaste but forgot, and when you DID remember, you can't remember if the tube is empty or full despite checking almost every day, his heart breaks.

Jake would hold you and comfort you, feeling guilty that he was the one causing you so much distress.

After that, he will have a totally different view of you and your chronic condition.

Jake will just silently do his job if he ever sees you forgetting something or leaving something randomly on the kitchen table.

He listens to you talk about 50 hobbies and plenty more.

Jake learns how to adapt just fine; your condition doesn't define you; you're his lover, not a burden.

More thoughts:

They did not put in the continuation of the Namari, Kiki and Kaka resurrection office scene here like we thought they might... So why did they have the scene with Namari at all??? Instead of wasting that time to show that Namari... doesn't know Falin's age, and that Falin's body isn't in the office (we already knew this) they could have instead shown Namari interacting with Kiki and Kaka? Learning their story? Telling her own? Literally anything else. They included this scene but didn't do ANY of the most important parts (explaining details of how resurrection works) and instead left something that is mostly unimportant... So weird.

I know in the previous episode I complained about the lack of the skull shot, where Laios pulls Falin's skull out of the hair mat and it looks like a baby's head coming out of a vaginal opening… But in this episode they made the opening in the dragon's body behind Falin look like a vagina instead, so maybe they were trying to make up for it lol.

Wish they'd left in Chilchuck and Laio's brief conversation about if there's any way for them to profit off of the dragon's body. They mention Laios' savings, but it would have been nice to establish more firmly that Laios and party *make a living* off of the dungeon and that not having anything (treasure, monster bodies) to bring back is a big problem. Going into the dungeon is a JOB and they are not doing it very well!

(This will be important later to understand what the hell Kabru's deal is (ie: laios' dungeon behavior is illogical because he's not making money by going in, so why is he going into the dungeon?), so lack of clarity on the subject is unfortunate.)

I wish there was some way for them to tweak the dark elf comment because anime onlies and people who only read the manga are now going to think dark elves (drow) exist in dungeon meshi. It would be really nice if the anime added something from the extra materials explaining that Chilchuck is just being racist and ignorant lmao and that's why Marcille's annoyed about it. Alas.

Interesting how The Bath Scene was changed. They turned the original mood from slightly menacing foreshadowing to much more cute and flirtatious. Marcille is blushing and tilting her head towards Falin now, leaning in... She looks much less tired, Falin's no longer looming over her, but at the same level as she is, and Marcille is looking directly in front of herself, instead of up at Falin. Also Marcille's hand is at a lower, more natural position for hand-holding... Not up by her face, like a defensive gesture.

I don't know if this is good or bad really, just different. I personally preferred the more ominous tone from the manga, where the shadow Falin cast was more obvious, and Falin was placed higher above Marcille and Marcille looking up at her.

Sergio stays for the rest of the season but the leak from the meeting is stressing me out. I know Horner and Marko are in some kind of the power struggle and I hate it but this whole mess makes me sick.

I hoped the news would make the rumours disappear but whatever is going on at RB just keeps getting worse and worse, I saw so much hate and so much speculations that I think it's worse than before.

So I want to ask for your opinion: Do you think the Verstappens really were informed that Sergio would be replaced? Why would Max say the car was the problem then? Do you think they will sack him after 2025? Is there anything that we can know for sure? Is it really all about Mexican GP and Liberty Media?

Anon, I understand you completely, this is rather stressful and to be honest, annoying.

True, Marko and Horner are fighting for control of RBR, but Marko is in total disadvantage, as Horner has more power and well, that means Marko lashing out and feeding the press with wild stories.

I do believe something fishy is going on. Both Checo and Daniel apparently are finishing the rest of the year, and 2025 is up in the air. With Checo, he has already a contract, so if they decide to fire him, I'm sure he has something up his sleeve. He wasn't fired from Racing Point without learning how to protect himself.

My fear is that he is informed about the firing thing when he can't have another seat for next year. With Sainz in Williams (and what's the deal with Vowles? sucking up to Carlos so hard it's making things uncomfortable for Logan, we get it dude, dial it down), and apparently Sauber is choosing Bottas to be with Nico, the only seats available would be Alpine (but probably will be taken by Schumacher) and Mercedes (and Toto is Toto, if he actually takes Checo is to say a big FUCK YOU to Horner).

This is, of course, the the worst case scenario, but then... what would the haters do? The press uses Checo as clickbait, the haters need the outlet from their sad little lives... imagine if Checo isn't there, they would need to look for another driver to crap on, and who has the time in this busy world?

What I can tell you for sure, the whole Liberty Media is a rumour (that people say Marko spread because he's like that). Why? They say Liberty Media begged RBR not to fire Checo because then they won't sell the Mexico Grand Prix tickets... you know what? THEY ARE SOLD OUT ALREADY! Geez people, what's the deal with this rumour? I'm Mexican, and I wanted tickets... and I got a big 'SOLD OUT' screen IN JANUARY. Last year, after the Mexico Gran Prix, there was a pre-sale for the 2024 Grand Prix, and it was sold out in December, apparently, because I didn't have the money until January, and got nothing! The only tickets available are the super, super expensive ones that only famous and rich people can afford, and are super exclusive as well. To be clear, those tickets cost almost my entire year's salary. Of course they say also the Austin and Las Vegas Grand Prix were at risk, as Checo is liked there, but Logan is also a favorite, so there's no risk if they let go of Checo (at least not like in Mexico if the tickets reaaaally weren't sold out).

The most likely scenario that RBR would have faced if they let go of Checo before Mexico Grand Prix would have been the booing and probably curse words from all the fans, but the tickets were never compromised. So I doubt that if RBR REALLY wanted Checo out, they would have bended over Liberty media. What I can believe is that maybe the sponsors and Ford were more of an influence than the Liberty Media thing.

So the only sure thing: Checo and Daniel end the year with their respective teams. 2025 is still on the air, according to Marko, but in my opinion, if Horner really delivers with the supposed support to Checo to help with the car and his engineers, this won't be an issue for him then, as he will start delivering as he was at the beginning of the season.

Also, cost-benefit, what's the best scenario? Getting a new driverwho has to get used to the the car? Or actually working with the pilot that has already the experience and just help him improve? People think that it's easy to adjust, but the RB20 is a capricious bitch, you never know when it's going to throw you a curve ball.

Sorry for the long rant anon, but honestly, when it's related to Checo, rumours and speculations are always around, it's like a curse.

Solas: It's not the answer he expects or the response he wants. There's no doubt that he knew from the beginning that he'd hurt them, that no matter what happened they would look at him as if he'd lit their entire life on fire and watched it burn down but not once had he even considered that they'd look so- aged. There's a horrifyingly burning feeling in his chest and he wants to grab their shoulders and beg for them to be angry, kick, scream- do anything a normal person would. But instead, they're just staring at him so exhausted and for once Solas feels dread.

Cassandra: Her first initial feeling, is anger. Cassandra always responds to things with that first burst of fiery rage and need for justice, but once that passes it's just the need to protect. She finally understands her own brother, a bit. Cassandra helps in the only ways she knows, holding the Inquisitor until they finally let themself cry, and after that, she makes it her own personal life goal to cave in the skull of anyone who ever makes them make that expression again. She considers for just a moment if maybe she is part of the problem (she knows she is, she remembers the first time they met in that cell), but she can't bring herself to think about it.

Blackwall: He knows he is part of the problem, of that long list of people who have lied and turned tail when it came down to it. And fuck if he doesn't feel bad. Blackwall hates to admit that he is an expert in self-pity but he really can't help the wave of self-hatred that seeing the Inquisitor like that brings. He has never seen someone young seem so old but then he remembers young soldiers, young mages, and templars all with that same dead look in their eyes. Blackwall turns away, he might make them small trinkets and keep an eye on them but he is nowhere near brave enough to look them in the face for nearly a week after that.

Dorian: So, he is adopting them- everyone shut up, you don't get to pick. It's his younger sibling now and as their new legal guardian, he would want everyone to back the fuck off. Dorian is the most likely I think to fall into the attempts of regaining normalcy for the Inquisitor. He treats them the same, doesn't matter what horrifying piece of information they may have dropped he keeps the same level of jest and care between them. But he is more keen-eyed on making sure nobody gets too close, that nobody says something that no teenager or child should year. Nothing is more horrifying than a Pavus with protective habits, let me tell you that much.

Sera: I love Sera, but she is fucking horrid with the emotional support and she knows it. Sera will step around like she is walking on glass shards, get annoyed and say something bordering on insensitive and then realize what she has done- and try her best to mend things. Sera forgot their age, she said and had them help with things that maybe a child shouldn't deal with but no child in Ferelden isn't broken a little bit, so she isn't entirely sure how to navigate someone so numb to it all. Sera of course suggests crime, that always makes her feel better and it'll make them feel better for sure.

Iron Bull: See, the Inquisitor is a member of the Bull's Chargers. That means they're family and they're looking so fucking miserable and sad right now that it just means that he kicks into that need to protect. Bull knows better than to lean onto his past mistakes and regrets, think about everything he could've done better at this point to protect them. He just is more weary, more aware of their age- he does his best to keep some semblance of childhood in their life even if its far too late. And if things get too hard he pats their shoulder, leans down and reminds them 'horns pointed up, chin high' because nobody can take them down and if they are too numb to go on then he'll just have to re-ignite their flame.

Varric: Oh, he has seen that look before. Hawke carried it like a horrifying shadow of dread after their mom, after everything. He remembers the glazed over look, the empty tone of voice and the exhaustion. The way nothing is hidden on their face and he hates it. A part of Varric had promised himself to not let it get to this point, and he failed miserably. Varric never saw himself as much of a parental figure but somehow he falls into one pretty easily after that reveal, he is far less willing to let things slide. Varric is the first to admit he will put a bolt through Solas throat if he sees him again though.

Vivienne: She sees that expression, hears those words and she sees red. If you've ever seen this woman mad you've never seen her mad like this and it's like watching a mother lion with its cub. It's almost laughable when people try to get too close to do something after this, it's as if the Inquisitor has their own personal mom to freeze people at will now. She can't undo that hurt, she knows she can't, but she sure as hell can help them in the future.

Cole: Oh this poor lad, he feels that pain into his very core and it makes him feel like he will shatter and break himself. Cole is hovering, but not in the way that Cass of Vivienne is- he hovers in a surprisingly...helpful way. Cole whispers words of comfort, reminds them of the good and is well aware of when to be quiet. Sometimes he can help, not with everything, but this he can help with and he does so the only way he knows- words of truth and letting the Inquisitor wear his hat and hug him, obviously.

Was SN involved in the banning of Sophie? No. The server only opened that same day.

Was SN involved in the second banning of Sophie? No. That was only two days later, we still weren't fully open.

The few members in the server show complete confusion over her banning, and rules were added that first day that those involved in harassment or false reporting would be banned.

Was SN involved in the banning of eeveecraft? This one is actually hilarious because you'll see that no one knew who the hell eeveecraft was. It's genuinely hilarious the number of, "who?" Like, wow, you're really not that important.

The Sophie bot: it was a handful of uwus and a joke about balloon popping, THAT'S IT, I am LITERALLY looking at the members being upset over one of Sophie's posts at the time, members venting hurt and fear and upset, extreme frustration, struggling with feelings of powerlessness, and someone made a joke, and I'm looking at apologies and rule updates FROM BEFORE SOPHIE EVEN KNEW ABOUT IT

One user made a post and mistakenly or accidently implied it was still happening, but they weren't even in the server at the time it happened. It was not months of rping and harassment. I am still pissed about that post.

It was one person, one night, get over yourself

While watching the SN mods live rent free in Sophie's head was funny, it's just annoying now. Sorry one of the members did something dumb. Can we have apologies for all the baseless accusations you've slung our way, and the ACTUAL months of harassment?

SN harbouring a pedo?! Mods were very open and honest with members during the event. Multiple announcements were made as we investigated. We spoke with members about their comfort. In the end, the accusations were unfounded, confirmed to be false by the alleged victims themselves. We did our due diligence and we supported our members. There are zero safety concerns.

Their real name?! It wasn't their deadname, HOW THE FUCK WERE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW, WHAT WERE YOU SERIOUSLY THINKING WHEN YOU LEGALLY CHANGED YOUR NAME TO THAT, WHY

Hey it's alright, it doesn't sound annoying and I'm happy to answer.

I like Astarion, I actually love Astarion a lot. He was the sole reason I bought the game in early access and learned DnD mechanics, i have never played a game like Baldur's Gate 3 before.

A detailed overview below bc I love talking.

I saw a tiktok, thought he looked hot and he is an elf that's a bonus and I installed the game thinking it will like the witcher where you waltz around sleeping with any hot person.

I was severally wrong. I was so blind to his manipulation ingame at the first act because I was too focused on sleeping with him. And when act 2 came and he confessed how he truly felt, It was like a waking up slap to the face.

But i managed to move on yk? Bury it and keep playing the game. Part of me still hoped there will be some hot scenes in the future and this is just a stepping stone.

Again, I was very wrong. When the Cazador fight came and Astarion had to face all the people in the cages, when he tells you that you would've just as easily been one of them. It made me leave the game, stop playing for a week despite how big the hype was since I was at the end of it.

I just felt disgusted with myself, it made me feel very uncomfortable how I used to precive him, how he encouraged it. Especially since I resonated with his storyline, I myself have been in a relationship where someone only used me for sex, it hit deeper to home than I could've imagined.

Which is why I don't do nsfw requests of him, it feels too inappropriate. The wound is still fresh and I can't do it without sacrificing my self respect because of how I saw myself in Astarion.

His ascended treatment of us, it was everything my act 1 self wanted out of him in terms of powerful hot vampire craving you, but to the current me, it felt unimaginably gross.

His writers are amazing, you get to know him throughout the game. You are a witness to how clumsy he is with romance, how reluctant he is with sex when he gets the choice. You see the 180° flip and know this is someone else wearing his skin.

But I have zero problems with other people writing his nsfw. It's not a holier than thou deal where it's sfw or bust. Just because something isn't my preference it doesn't mean I can police people about it.

And I did read nsfw Astarion stuff a lot before, before I reached act 3.

Maybe my opinion will change one day and I'll go back to taking his nsfw requests, maybe it won't. It doesn't really matter, there are a lot of talented and good writers who make nsfw works for him and I'm happy for their existence.

As for why I don't write solo pieces for him in general? Well I only have so much free time and inspiration to write with, and Astarion has a chokehold on both the writers and artists of this fandom. He probably has more works under his name than Wyll, Halsin, Minthara and Karlach combined.

There is a lot of Astarion content, it feels like everything has been explored already. Every idea pushed to the limit then flipped, every concept fullfilled.

I only write for him when someones requests it, or when I feel like I have something new to say that no one did before. Like my only story about him posted "to dance with you."

I much rather explore the characters that no one paid much attention to like Wyll, Minthara etc. Npcs too.

Astarion is very loved by the fandom, he will be fine.

My third point is that he can get too loved by the fandom, borderline obsessively so by certain groups.

Part of the reason why I didn't write for Astarion at all at the start of the blog, and why I'm still hesitant to write about him is because I don't want to interact with his fanbase.

Take your ask for example, i won't assume malice anon, I hope you just sent this out of curiosity.

But literally no other characters fanbase would ask this. I'm one of Minthara's biggest simp and if i thought someone didn't like her, I'd be like "understandable, have a nice day."

For so long I have been slandering Gale and bashing on him, and yet never received a single ask about why I dislike it. Which I don't for thr record i just like bullying him.

But it only took a single Astarion slander post, that wasn't truly about him, for someone to ask this.

I thought it was a hehe haha joke at the start when everyone was talking about how much better he is than the others, how they can't even imagine romancing someone else. When they called the game Astarion dating simulator.

It wasn't a joke. Larian got the most spam and hate reports to fix Astarion's kissing but while Minthara's whole romance is still broken.

I saw a tweet that mentioned how some Astarion fans act like araj oblodra in moonrise tower, the drow that wants him to bite her, and they're really spot on.

He might as well be second coming of Edward Cullen. People are writing paragraphs upon paragraphs in response to every small joke about him and how he approves morally bad stuff? Spinning a false narrative that he wouldn't hurt a fly that he is a sweet little bean that needs to be protect but also he is super loyal and would only want their blood?

I hate how watered down he is, I hate how artists draw him romanticly thin and hollow. I hate how forgotten his trauma is unless it's time to baby him. I hate the wrinkles removing mods, I hate the ereasing of his flaws and I hate how they run up to the voice actor to confirm their headcanons.

His voice actor is great, even amazing. But he is still a stranger and you shouldn't ask him nsfw questions, you should keep it respectful and still admire his other works, not just flood him about Astarion.

But maybe I'm wrong, i won't pretend I know what his voice actor feels. But I hope the Astarion fanbase aren't being weird to him.

And let's be honest, Cazador is just as bad as all the other evil characters in this game. Gortash, Ketheric and Orin probably commited more bad stuff than him, yet he is the single unpopular evil guy.

Can you guess why? Does him being tied to hurting the beloved golden goose of the fandom ring any bells?

Mizora hurts Wyll, Gortash sold Karlach, Viconia abused Shadowheart. Yet all of them are seen as evil but loved, while liking Cazador bc of how much of a fucked up character he is, gets you blocked.

That's why I include him in my works, there is no content for him, but also so it weirds out any hardcore Astarion fan and they leave my blog.

For free day I'm swinging back near the beginning of the story. XD

After completing the Corruption and Conscience quest, Lecrinn stays around Cheydinhal for a bit and uses hanging out with Garrus as an excuse to procrastinate part of the main quest. She isn't even trying to become friends with him at this point, she has no idea what she's setting up.

I was going to save this scene for the fic it goes in but that'll probably be a long while still. By then I'll probably need to rewrite this anyway.

            “Hey Garrus,” Lecrinn ran up to walk beside him as he patrolled, he smiling at her. “I was just wondering, no big deal if not, if you’d like to have dinner at the inn after work.”

            “Ah,” his smile dropped, “I’m sorry, but I don’t quit working till after midnight.”

            “OK, during your dinner break then.”

            “I eat after work.”

            “What?” She paused, hurrying to catch back up as he continued on. “When do you eat lunch?”

            “Noon.”

            “Tell me you’re taking some break between then.”

            He quickly looked the other way.

            She turned to stand in front of him, hands on her hips. “Garrus, why do you have a ludicrous schedule?”

            “It’s the one Ulrich gave me.”

            She threw her hands up. “We arrested Ulrich!”

            Eyes widening he stepped closer to speak quietly. “You may want to keep quiet about that for now.”

            She looked confused.

            “I’m not sure who I can trust yet and we didn’t exactly get the evidence by legitimate means,” his gaze shifted.

            She gaped in realization.

            “I would have loved to have given you credit,” he looked apologetic, “but if anyone finds out how you helped it could get Ulrich released and you in trouble.”

            “No that’s all right.”

            He gave a sad smile. “Thank you for understanding.” Walking around her he continued his patrol.

            She started off, steps slowing, eyes narrowing. “Wait…” Turning she ran after him. “We weren’t done!”

            “I’m pretty sure we were,” he looked vaguely annoyed. As she ran to stand in his way his annoyance grew. “You realize you’re obstructing my patrol?”

            Crossing her arms she glared. “And what are you going to do about it, fine me?”

            He sighed, head dropping a bit.

            “You’re the captain now,” her glare softened, more sincere, “you don’t have to follow Ulrich’s rules anymore,” before getting mad again, “so change your stupid schedule and come to dinner.”

            “I thought it wasn’t a big deal.”

            “It is now!”

            He looked stubborn. “And if I decline?”

            Stepping into his personal space she gave an angry smile that left him a little unsettled. “Don’t.” She whirled away.

            As she walked off his brows lowered confused. “That wasn’t really a threat.”

            “Yeah, well, don’t make me come up with one!”

            He looked unimpressed. “So you don’t have one then.”

            She pointed back at him as she turned a corner. “I’ll have one by dinner!”

Regarding Kiana, I fully interpret her as a lesbian, however the word "lesbian" isn't used by her in the canon text of hi3. A rose by any other name would smell just a sweet, doesn't make her any less gay. She doesn't say "I'm a lesbian" but she says "I'm in love with Mei", y'all, the original post that sparked the controversy wasn't saying that Kiana wasn't a lesbian, it was saying that not everyone ships Kiamei and some folks prefer to see them as broken up or close friends instead, and then people got really intense on twitter. Seems like there was a weird misunderstanding about what what was being talked about.

In a vaccum though, I agree that's not a big deal! My DMs are open, and I'm not one to yell. If you have a legitimate grievance, I'll hear you out, but you can't just say words and not back them up. These past few days have made me increasingly more frustrated at other people rather than George. Like he fuxked up no doubt about it. But the shit I'm hearing for unrelated parties and former fuxking close friends of his has made me fuxking sick. Without even contacting george do they come to these conclusions, even after being friends with dream post allegations. It is hypocritical in the sickest way and I'm honestly fuming at the implication that people can't grow or change which has been recently thrown around by Hannah. Monster Replays the Truthful Route: Part 4

Sorry for the delay, folks!

Warning: You know the deal. Digimon Survive spoilers under the cut.

While working on this part, the draft accidentally got deleted. So, I'm only gonna give a few of my thoughts on the beginning part, then skip right to the exploration part of the amusement park.

I think this game really hits us with the fact that the villains are not indispensable. As Piedmon says, if Arukenimon fails, there is sure to be another one to take her place. And if Piedmon doesn't already convince you in Part 4, just wait until he brutally murders her in Part 7.

Takuma and co. are understandably scared. Sure, Ryo might have survived, but are they really sure they can survive next time? Can they ever get out of this world. If so, can they get out of this world alive? We all know they do because this is the Truthful route, and nobody dies in the Truthful route, but at this point of the story, the Survive gang isn't so sure.

Takuma: Kaito, we have to stick together! You can't go off on your own!

Kaito: stfu

Dracmon: I agree with Takuma!

Kaito: Hmmm, if my little vampire gremlin agrees with you, then you must have a point.

Well, unless you choose the bad ending.

I love Ryo's speech to Kunemon before he evolves to Flymon, so I'm just gonna share the screenshots of it (warning for poor quality, though).

While making this post, my phone died A-FUCKING-GAIN, so I lost a good chunk of it. Then, while trying to remember what the hell I typed down, I accidentally closed out of Tumblr. So if there are any weird skips, I apologize.

After playing the Harmony route, this line especially hits hard.

Something I just noticed: All of the servants names start with P (yeah, I know that in English it's Biyomon with a B, but they're also called Piyomon in Japan, so...).

I can understand why Minoru and Shuuji are suspicious of Jijimon. After all, the last time they found an adult they thought they could trust, she turned out to be a weird spider lady that wanted to sacrifice them.

Shuuji's affinity dialogue rubs me the wrong way. Though I guess that's because of the localization.

Okay, I'm just gonna say it here and now: Miu's more of a Digimon Kaiser-equivelent than the hypothetical Ken-equivelent ever will be.

I love the pre-Shellmon scene as well. Unfortunately, I hit the photo limit, so I'm gonna have to copy the dialogue from scratch.

Miu: Oh no! Kaito!

Syakomon: So, you ARE worried about what happens to him?

Miu: Of course I am! He's my brother!

Miu: I just don't like him being overprotective, and I hate how he never gives me any space.

Miu: When he gets like that, it reminds me of... things I really don't want to remember.

Syakomon: And that's why you were so mean to him?

Miu: Yeah, but he's still my brother.

Miu: Only after I can't do anything...

[Insert Patamon and Biyomon getting their asses kicked by Garurumon here]

Miu: Oh no! They're all hurt again!

Miu: Syakomon, tell me, what should I do?

Miu: They're all fighting for me like I'm really their queen, but...

Miu: I haven't done anything for them!

Syakomon: Miu... what do you want to do?

Miu: I... I don't want to let anyone... To let my brother die...

Miu: I don't want to lose everyone after lying to them, or my brother after fighting with him!

Miu: I want to protect everyone else for a change!

Miu: Syakomon, please! Save Kaito!

Syakomon: Oh, I'm so happy you said that! Finally, you were able to be honest with how you feel.

Miu: Syakomon!?

Syakomon: I've been waiting this whole time for you to be honest with me.

Syakomon: Because when you wish for something with your whole heart, I can be as strong as you need!

Miu: What!? Syakomon, what's happening!?

Syakomon: Miu, I'm here to make your wishes come true! So for your sake, I'll grow strong!

Syakomon, evolve tooo...!

Easily one of my favorite scenes in the whole game.

Anyways, I evolved her straight to Azulongmon and oneshotted Garurumon.

I love the music that plays when the Survive gang learn that there's a way to go back to the Human World via the boundary.

Jijimon: Many times I have witnessed the strong bond between my friend and their human child.

Jijimon: Though it was long ago, and my memories have fades. Yet had that child been sacrificed...

Jijimon: My friend would not have fared well. Those who share such strong bonds share the same fate.

Jijimon: Yet my friend still lives. This in itself is proof that the child is alive somewhere.

The scene between Takuma, Agumon, Kaito and Dracmon is really sweet.

Dracmon: What's this? Kaito being open and honest about how he feels for once? No way!

And that concludes Part 4. For how much of a pain in the ass this post was to make, I still really enjoyed this part (though that might be because it focuses on two of my favorite characters, Ryo and Miu). Miu learned her lesson, and boy, I sure learned mine...
