You know, there's plenty to complain about wasted potential in characters, wasted story lines and the like but my biggest, hugest gripe with this show (beyond the homophobia but that's a different topic) is how much they wasted every archangel that wasn't Lucifer. And even Lucifer got absolutely butchered in season 15!
We met Raphael for so little that I can even think about what could have been done differently with him. Probably seeing more of the civil war in heaven would have helped both Raphael to feel more like an actual character instead of a figure stick placed to be Castiel's antagonist and Cas himself to not look like the asshole the writers tried to make him look like in s6
Gabriel was an amazing character that, like mostly everyone that wasn't Sam and Dean, deserved way more screen time that he got. But even with what we had, bringing him back in s13 to do absolutely nothing more than make Lucifer cry once and then killing him again was an absolute disservice to the archangel that died in the apocalypse facing his brother for the right reasons. He could have stuck around and if they really didn't want to have the power of an archangel on the side of the good guys then keep him depowered and let him process his trauma instead of healing in like 2 seconds
Michael... where do I even begin with Michael? The most powerful archangel, our Dean parallel in the celestial family, the obedient soldier that was still the nicest he could be to his vessels and I don't think he even had half an hour total of screen time. And let's be clear, I am not counting Apocalypse Michael here, this is about our world Michael, OG Michael. For starters we should have seen way more of him than we did. From season 11 onwards there were so many occasions in which the boys could have at least tried to talk to him AND THEY COULD DO IT but they never even tried. I do however love what they did with him and Adam when they finally left the cage, although I would have been the first one cheering them on if they went for revenge I think what they did makes clear just how different and not actually evil was Michael. I hate that even in the season where we know they are out there we barely see him, I would have loved to see more of his conflict about what his father did, seeing him grieve Adam (friendly or romantic, whatever is good for me at this point) and... well, here comes the biggest bad thing they did to him, I would have loved to see him stand up to his father, Michael deserved to do that, he was one of the angels who got most deeply screwed over by Chuck and he deserved to punch him in the face
And while in that topic... Lucifer. Lucifer was the archangel with the best arc, he was a great villain and the fact that the Mark was what made him like is in the first place made him actually sympathetic, when he told Michael he didn't want to fight him, the whole thing with Chuck I'm season 11 and then he realizing he had been played by his father in season 12 and wanting to prove he could do better was great. I loved what looked like a redemption arc for him because besides Michael, he also got incredibly screwed by their father. I hated that he turned on Jack like he did, I wish that whatever confrontation needed to happen at the end of season 13 would have been more out of being scared of AU!Michael and wanting to protect Jack even if he had to do it forcefully. The fact that Nick was somehow alive after his death was strange as fuck and I wish they had explained how exactly after he looked dead in S5 but regardless, the fact that he wanted Lucifer back I think says something about how he interacts with his vessels (when said vessel doesn't drag him back to his cage, I guess, sorry Sam, I love you). But biggest sin against him was how he went right back to Chuck like a dumbass in s15. S12 Lucifer, my beloved, he would never. He deserved to punch Chuck as much as Michael, I wish they had teamed up and punched Chuck together. Bet two archangels fighting god would have charged up Jack faster and would not have been as ridiculous as two humans being beaten up by god and being just mildly hurt at the end, they could still stand...
Anyway, the archangels deserved better, thanks for coming to my tedtalk

A Sympathetic Character is Better than a Morally Just Character
part of this was drafted from a month or so ago but i’ve been thinking about it so i’m going to finish it now and post it on this blog instead of the og ranboocore blog haha!
i would really wish this fandom would understand though that,
a morally good, righteous, upstanding character =/= a GOOD character like yes. they are morally good. but that does not inherently make them the better written, more satisfying character. like i enjoy characters like dream, ranboo, technoblade, wilbur, quackity, and sam (my favorites especially are dream and ranboo) because they have depth. they are multifaceted and have internal conflict and clear character flaws.
sam is actually a good example of a character being righteous and that being a flaw. BECAUSE of his values, tommy died on his hands. because he adheres to laws, he has internal conflict as the world has shown him that maybe he was wrong. maybe it is not good to be so righteous.
i see a lot of posts like condemning characters for their actions and i get so utterly confused because thats the point. like yes. they did the bad thing. yes. you’re right that is bad. but like... can you analyze it? can you break down the character motivations, that characters reasoning behind it, is it relatable? is it sympathetic? is it compelling to you?
if it’s not why are you here. because these ARE sympathetic characters. they make mistakes and it is clear that the mistakes they made ARE INDEED MISTAKES. because that is human. and we can relate.  “dreams not sympathetic, he’s evil” immmmm SORRY are you telling me that if you were repeatedly told that you were an awful person, that you were toxic, that you were the bad one EVEN THOUGH YOU WEREN’T, you wouldn’t get frustrated? you wouldn’t get upset and maybe act drastically? you wouldn’t lash out?
“i wouldn’t manipulate someone and blow up a country.” no shit! i wouldn’t either! but i would get angry! i would get mad and upset and i might say something mean or out of line or like make a mistake and start a fight. the beauty of writing is that we can exaggerate things to extremes. this raises the stakes and makes the actions so much more meaningful, but because we at our core can relate to similar actions and the line of logic, it makes it moving. it makes it sympathetic and relatable. like? no obviously, i don’t condone abuse or like manipulating someone. but i can understand and relate to the idea of the ends justify the means.” which is the type of character dream is. in his head, the ends will justify the means.
so i need you to understand that a SYMPATHETIC character is better than JUST a MORALLY RIGHT character. ESPECIALLY in the dream smp. this is the narrative where EVERYONE is their OWN MAIN CHARACTER. and the main character NEEDS to be sympathetic. the villain doesn’t necessarily, though a sympathetic villain is always so much better than a flat, 2D villain, but the protagonist NEEDS to be sympathetic. and by sympathetic i mean like... can i follow their line of logic? can i understand this character? like maybe i personally wouldn’t do the things they’ve done, but can i understand why they’ve done what they have? am i rooting for this character because i can relate and sympathize with them?
this is SO important in writing. it GIVES characters depth. it makes them feel real, and not just like... a 2d caricature of something. thats part of WHY i love ranboos character and WHY he is very obviously a fan favorite. ranboo, hands down, undoubtedly, PUTS THE WORK IN. his character is deeply flawed and for that extremely relatable. ranboo makes SURE that there is subtext there for you to understand it. the way his character rationalizes things is such a good testament to him providing subtext, but it’s definitely not the ONLY way he provides subtext. he doesn’t TELL you that his character has anxiety (in lore i mean out of lore he’s said it plenty of times) BUT HE SHOWS THAT.
his character catastrophizes, his character is pessimistic at times, his character is worried pretty frequently, he displays signs of paranoia among like... so many other characteristics that are clear results of anxiety or just SHOW his anxiety. he doesn’t just SAY that flat out, but he shows it in the way he talks, the way he thinks, his actions. like YES. yes ranboo IS a hypocrite but you can understand WHY he is a hypocrite. it’s because, ironically enough, his character VALUES being morally correct. ranboos morals are important to himself and he CANNOT conceptualize being the morally wrong one. and that’s SHOWN in the way he rationalizes his acts of hypocrisy. he excuses himself because he doesn’t want to be the one thats wrong, and it’s clear that that is a character flaw of his.
it’s intended that you pick up that ranboo is wrong, but he is excusing himself and trying to rationalize that he’s not the wrong one because thats one of his character motivations. whenever ranboo monologues and its him rationalizing, it is clearly him CONVINCING himself that he hasn’t done anything bad. he KNOWS he has done the wrong thing, but he DOESN’T WANT TO ADMIT IT.
his character HAS depth. his character feels REAL.
there are plenty of characters you can break down in this way, and i know people are aware of it because i’ve seen posts about how tubbo provides subtext through largely his actions rather than monologuing (which is a pretty good way to get across inner thought in this medium). i think that ranboo’s character is amongst the ones display depth the best because he very clearly does dedicate himself to his character and his narrative. he provides subtext and small mannerisms and goes through a monologue fairly realistically i feel where he’s working himself through a situation.
there’s also sam, who i’m VERY excited for more lore from, because he’s had a fall from grace. this is such an extraordinarily human thing that i think so many people can relate to and i think it makes him such a driving character. like no, i’m not gonna torture someone, but because i can and have fallen from grace before, i’m inherently intrigued by his story. how did he get here? and what was he thinking and where did the lines begin to break down for him? also he’s just kinda ahhah hah hah whus poppin babeyyyyyy but thats irrelevant
other characters i can think of off the top of my head are quackity, technoblade, wilbur, and tubbo but im sure there are other streamers im missing simply because i don’t watch them enough? i feel like niki’s character probably has depth it’s just that i don’t follow her character arc enough, so i wouldn’t actually know.
either way though, these characters all have depth because they’ve dealt with their issues in interesting, pressing, and ultimately human ways to their barest degrees because like i said the beauty of writing is that we can exaggerate these feelings to their extremes, but... ultimately we still experience these feelings.
like no i wouldnt do any of the shit these characters have done, but i can follow their line of reasoning and i can relate deeply to all of these issues.
and i think that’s what we really should be discussing rather than morality on the matter of like “good character” or “bad character” because i see that happen so frequently. like, in enjoying a character you’re not justifying their actions and if someone assumes that then... they should really go back to english class. that’s not how human nature works, and it’s not how literature works.
a good character is someone i can relate to and understand. including a villain.
TLDR; a sympathetic character is far more enjoyable and better than a morally just character. sympathetic characters are undeniably good characters because they are inherently characters you root for or simply just enjoy more. morally just characters, while they can be sympathetic, aren’t inherently good because being morally just isn’t inherently relatable. a good character is one that has depth.

Let's do this. One last time.
Ducktales 2017. I didn't think I was ready for the end, but the finale was too perfect to be sad nor angry.
There's so much to say-too much to say...and I'm going to try my best to say all of it.
EVERYONE IS HERE!! ENDGAME WHO?! DUCKTALES!!!!!
Seeing Webby and Scrooge interactions now, after watching this once, is just-They're So Soft! AND everything is just-AH I love it. It's so weird, but when is the family tree not screwy(also, Webby=Scrooge's clone? Webby=female? Trans Scrooge=Cannon?! I think Fucking So!)
Aaaaaaannd that's all we get from Gladstone and Fethry. If there's one thing I wish was in this episode more it would be more cousin interactions and Daisy. Though, Daisy not being too into it makes sense. Loved what we got of her tho. At least we got a little bit of them this episode, it was already pretty character packed
Well...Launchpad is only half wrong.
Oh wow. Oh Wow, I love this dynamic between LP, Drake, and Fenton...ot4? because I refuse to leave Gandra out. I love how Drake doesn't know about Fenton and Gizmo while it seems like everyone else in the world does. Still, LP/Drake and Gandra/Fenton some of my faves. So good
OH YEAH! Even the other 2 Caballeros are here!!
And the last adventure STARTS
I find it Fantastic how Dewey and Launchpad will probably die thinking F.O.W.L used the last level of a videogame as their secret layer layout
*sigh* This is why I avoid previews and wish I was better at avoiding theories from after those previews. I would have been more surprised and probably would have enjoyed this ep even more if I had Nothing to expect. But the theories were right. Tho, I did not expect how (or should I say Who) Webby was cloned from...though also I was spoiled by that when I was looking for the ep. Some ass used "Scrooge is Webby's dad" as a video title. I didn't think it was real, but I was wrong.
Awwww. Don has such a soft spot for kids
I love Lena and her development.
...*sigh* ok. "you've already got sisters" with this line, I am obligated to drop the Webby/Lena ship. I'm sorry, but it's one of my many rules for being ok with a ship. If the characters Ever say, even just once as an afterthought, they see each other as siblings or something similar, I will see them as that. It's why I've never been ok and have been uncomfortable with Shiro/Keith since Keith saved Shiro from...his clones...huh. So, from now on, I'm going to be Very uncomfortable with anything Weblena...even though the thought of them in the future was cute
HOW does a show about building ottomans have plot???
I wasn't sure how to feel about the clones All throughout this
OOOOOOOOOOOOOO HUEY JUST FIRST NAMED BEAKLEY!!!!!
GOLDIE AND DAISY ARE ON THE BOARD!!! SCORE!!
Oooooh. That picture of Webby's parents...is fake. It's like some picture Beakley took off the internet.
I saw a post saying how Della had to convince Donald to go on one last adventure and how she had to watch him almost die, but she really Didn't. She helped him pack and she was ready to let Donald go on his adventure("but Daisy's my adventure" They are too damn cute for their own damn good. I love them. donsy for the win), but an actual Crisis came up and he had to stay. Donald nearly dying by void was not Della's fault and if I see any more posts about how she roped Donald into a death mission, I will go up a wall and break a neck on my way down
Man, it's weird hearing this and knowing that Webby's parents don't exist
Wow! Beakley just knocked out Scrooge! Damn!
Oooh! The girls are fighting
...Woah. I just realized, the blood and brain of Scrooge McDuck and the training of Bentina Beakley. Webby is even more of a beast than we knew.
IS THAT DEVELOPMENT I HEAR!!! YOU KEEP THOSE KIDS BEHIND? YOU LOSE!!! GOOD DAY SIR!
Pepper. Just Pepper. She seems like one of your parent's nice coworkers that brings you brownies and pinches your cheeks
"Look after your brother." YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I JUST WANNA-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DADRO YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS OFICIALLY BOYD GEARLOSE NOW!! YEEEEE!!!!
I also really like that you can't tell which Gyro is telling that to
God, I Fucking Love the concept that is Manny. He's one of those things that if someone asked you about him outside of the fandom, you wouldn't even know where to start. It's absolutely FanFuckingTastic. He's the most magical thing in the universe? Fuck Yes, give that to me Now!
HE SPEAKS!!!!!!(I couldn't place his voice actor, but I when I looked him up I realized recognized him for Glossaryck from SVTFOE)
(Edit: Just found out that the scene with Manny was a Gargoyles ref. Nice!)
Once again, I love everything about LP, Drake, and Fenton
And then Lena Died
Aww, they both have such soft spots for children
LUDWIG VON DRAKE?!?!!!?! WHAT THE FUCK?!
(that had to be a different font because really, what the fuck)
He really did just say he was too busy to die. This duck is too powerful
(I really just don't have too much to say between all of this. I just love all of it)
Woo! Louie with the motivation!
Pft-how both of them are singing? Love to see it...wait, we don't see Don Karnage after this...DID HE DIE IN THAT CRASH?! DID DEWEY COMMIT HIS FIRST MURDER?!
"Welcome home, April." I hate you.
Of course he dabs
"he was like this when we found him." Nice to know Gos knows what to do in the event that she kills someone
Oh that's horrendous. I hate that
"Now, let's get down to business." TO DEF[get's shot]
Why is Manny like actually the best?
God, Drake and LP really are two halves of a whole idiot huh? They're soulmates, your honor
"I. Am." "Not alone in this." That was so sweet, but also JUST TELL HIM!!
And now Glom is dead
Oh, that's a lot of mind control
"Even by our standards, this is a weird day." Couldn't say it better, Lena
"How do you think Della found out about the Spear of Selene?" OH, YOU MOTHERFU
"Oh, Bradford, how villainous." DAMN! HE REALLY DID JUST DO THAT, HUH?!
"MOOOM!" "NOOO!" OH NO, MY HEART! IT FUNCTIONS!
"Do you know how replaceable clones are?" Oh yeah, that's right. You're probably not the og Gyro
Man, we don't ever have Von Drake for long but I always love him
Those lights are really only there for dramatic effect, aren't they?
...Close enough.
Launchpad moment! Yeah!!!
HEY! I just noticed. While wearing the suit, Launchpad didn't crash...idk what to do with this info
The fine print is usually good to read...we people just don't do it apparently
"...your most trusted ally?" *picks Donald* Wow. That's right there with the feels ain't it
"it's not worth the risk." Fuck, I love them
Oh that sounds so weird. Scrooge has never been a dad, always Uncle. So Weird
And Gandra, Gyro, and Von Drake are dead. There is a Body Count this episode
"Donald Duck." "Uncle Scrooge." I SEE YOU! I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE! AND I LOVE IT!
Hehe. From Bitchford to bird brain.
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ENDING SCENE IS THE BEST!
Beakley thinking she's no longer accepted? Nah, she was granny first and foremost
ANOTHER FENRA KISS?! DON'T MIND IF I DO!
DADRO AND GOSALYN AND DRAKE?! LOVING IT!
MORE FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS?! WOO!
DONALD IMMEDIATELY ADOPTING JUNE AND MAY?! ONLY THE BEST FROM HIM!!!!
PROTECTIVE SCROOGE?! YOU DON'T SEE ME COMPLAINING!
"We're smarter" "We're tougher" "We're sharper" And we'll earn our way square." AH-I'M GOING DOWN LIKE THE SUNCHASER, GUYS
AND THE END CREDITS WILL NEVER BE MATCHED!!!!!
I don't know what else to say.
This show was amazing from beginning to end. I may not have cried, but I didn't need to cry. It wasn't sad and there was nothing bittersweet about it. Just pure perfection, just like the rest of the show.
Perfectly Preen, not a fether out of place.
Goodnight Ducktales, you were perfect

Note
To me, it doesn’t make sense to make Magneto the main villain because it has been done so much before and it would connect it so much to the Fox Films. Also I think there is a GREAT laziness in writing Magneto especially in films. He generally didn’t want to kill all humans, subjugate them yes because he doesn’t trust them. Which isn’t a ‘good guy’ move in itself and he slips in and out of.
He legit murdered genocide I think when he was going to kill all humans. Like no.
I also think that the average cinema goer likes Magneto too much… or maybe that is me. It would also require them to recast the most famous faces of the franchises?
Like is anyone going to care if they recast Jean, Scott, Iceman, Rogue, Kitty, Beast even Mystique but Magneto? I don’t know. I have long been a fan of an actual Jewish actor playing Magneto but following Ian McKellan would be difficult for the casual fans to accept. I don’t think Fassbender left such an amazing impression.
Even my most average MCU fans friends (and god they love the MCU 😤 but I see past it) still talk about how much they want to see a Magneto solo film.
To me I would put the focus on their reveal and sentinels. Then again I thought they’ll go through Krakoa stuff. Like it turns out the mutants have been living on this Island etc
With the ‘simpler times’ comment I have to for the sake of my sanity have to think that it was because Pietro knew where he was. Things were clear to him, as much as it hurt he had his sister. The following trauma had not occurred. Again I don’t think this is true but I am trying to reason bad writing. He didn’t doubt his morality but was indebted and controlled. Shitty actions were out of his control.
I don’t read Avengers so I didn’t know he was shelved for so long.
I think the Trial of Magneto is trying to ride on the coattails of Wandavision because even though she’s not a mutant a lot of the internet was wanting Magneto to show up. So what is the best way to get those fans who wanted to see that? Set up a family comic book where they establish the family again because I guess the MCU fans heard they’ve changed their background and themselves didn’t like it.
I see the Trial of Magneto as something poorly thought out as they saw what the audience was interested in. The timeline kind of clashes uncomfortably with Inferno. Which makes me think it was wedged in there to ride the Wandavision train and undo the retcon on the side of the main storyline.
Thank you for reading my essay/rant
Ok so I'm going to first say you have a lot of great thoughts and great on picking up the whole forced feeling. You are right, it does feel wedged in there and it does feel forced because that's exactly what Marvel did.
The Trial of Magneto was supposed to be an X-Factor plot, it was Leah Williams next arc, here's an article link talking about her podcast: link (yes I know it's bleeding cool but I don't have time to listen to the podcast)
Leah Williams tells us that X-Factor was canceled because Leah's pitch for the Magneto/Wanda story for X-Factor, now called Trial Of Magneto, became such a popular pitch at Marvel but they thought the reader numbers for X-Factor wasn't big enough for this story, so they wanted it as a separate comic. And canceled X-Factor #10 rather than seeing it run as originally planned, with the Trial beginning in X-Factor #15. Williams says she only learned about the cancellation of X-Factor when she was writing #9, so as she had to finish the series quickly, squeezing six issues worth of story into those last two issues, calling it "cramped and rushed".
So I'm not a fan of Leah but the way Marvel treats it's writers has always been terrible so this cancellation doesn't surprise me. Could this be about W*ndaVision? It's likely, but it's more likely this has to do with Hickman bowing out. It's no secret literally everyone hated the retcon and I always knew it would be undone but I didn't think it would take 6 years but here we are.
Hickman leaving is a bigger thing, he stated in an interview ( link ) that he had planned Krakoa and X-Men to be a 3 arc story, and he wasn't allowed to move onto the 2nd arc because the clowns at Marvel liked the idea of Krakoa too much and I'm so mad because that's exactly the kinda behavior that annoys me with the fans, them thinking Krakoa is just a fun playground for the mutants to mess around with.
"Oh, plans have changed entirely," Hickman says. "When I pitched the X-Men story I wanted to do, I pitched a very big, very broad, three-act, three-event narrative, the first of which was House of X. And while this loosely worked as a three-year plan, I told Marvel upfront that I honestly had no idea how long the first part would last because there were a lot of interesting ideas that I had seeded that other creators would want to play with, and so, we left this rather open-ended. I was also pretty clear with all the writers that came into the office what the initial, three-act plan was so no one would be surprised when it was time for the line to pivot." Hickman continues, "However, I also knew that I was cooking with dynamite, and it was very possible that what I had written in House of X, and the ideas contained within, was not actually the first act of a three-act story, but something that resonated more deeply and worked more like Giant-Size X-Men, where it would represent a paradigm shift in the entire X-Men line for a prolonged period of time. So, during the pandemic, when the time came for me to start pointing things toward writing the second-act event, I asked everyone if they were ready for me to do that, and to a man, everyone wanted to stay in the first act. It was really interesting, because I appreciated that House of X resonated with them to the extent that they didn't want it to end, but the reality was that I knew I would be leaving the line early."
I'm so MAD because the thing I was predicting, that Hickman would have it come crashing down and everything would be revealed to be terrible and Mutant Death Sex Cult Island wasn't a paradise is never going to happen because the fucking CLOWNS at Marvel don't want him to move past it. I may have my personal gripes about some of Hickman's writing but we can't deny the man wrote one of the best if only the best Marvel Event with Fantastic Four/Avengers/Secret War.
As for the simpler times comment, like I have my theories that I wrote out here, and that's what I think is most likely but I do think Pietro's life has never been easy or simple once his adoptive parents died. Pietro could be drinking to a time before the Brotherhood.
I would love for a Jewish actor to play Magneto and any other characters who are Jewish. I would love for a Jewish writer to be able to write them too. However Ian's performance literally set him in the minds of the people as Magneto, not even Fassbender's bleh one note Magneto could compare. Imo the only reason people liked the younger Magneto was because he was young, handsome (? ig idk i dont simp for him) and they could ship him with young professor X (cowards. where is the old man ship???) But I feel like a new actor could definitely fill the role if they are Jewish and the writing was good.
Magneto's writing in comics... well I just wish we could have a Jewish writer for him. There's some great stuff for him but I feel like characters like him and Doom could be written better by non white/american writers.
Although by today's standards the og X-Men trilogy doesn't hold up I will defend the first two movies with my life simply because after Blade these movies opened up the idea that a good serious, non campy version where characters called Magneto and Cyclops were taken seriously. X2 in my mind was the definitive X-Men movie. Was it totally comic accurate? No, but it doesn't do what the MCU does, it doesn't treat the watcher like they need to have their hand held through all the military propaganda and "hints to the comics". Also side note; the reason no one cared about any of the other X-Men being recast is because all through most of the X-Men movies the focal story point has been Professor X vs Magneto. If they really want people to care about those characters/actors then we would need stories that focused on them. Not like how Storm barely had any character growth or plot in the og X-Men and even young Ororo got mishandled by the script. This is why I feel we should have "origin movies" for the X-Men that don't do what Wolverine Origins did and try to make a whole new cast but instead should use the stories as they are. If it was Kurt's story then we would see him join the X-Men, and have the other actors revolve around that. Same with each of the others, the X-Men work best when they are working off each other and each given enough screen/page time to shine. Unfortunately we all have our favorites, even movies and writers, so those are who are going to be pushed for fans to love.
Thank you for your long rant and sorry for my own long rant/reply.

My thoughts on Episode 7--Promises Broken
Placed behind a cut for those of you that would rather escape my babbling, lol.  You’re welcome.
The episode opens with Maggie, Elijah, Father Gabe, and Negan.
Right away I can’t help feeling disappointed because the emotional core of last episode (Kelly and Connie’s reunion and the aftermath) seems like it’s being ignored and punted further down the road so we can waste another hour getting piece meal progress on the Reaper front, but I’m going to try to push my misgivings away and enjoy this episode for what it is, so.
“Daryl just told us to go home.”
And save your hides and keep the rest of the community safe?  I can’t argue that Negan might have an actual point here, lol.  But Maggie sure can.
Not gonna lie.  When Negan came back with “I think he was being subtle. He said they were armed with lookouts” I had to LOL.
“We will never be even.”  I mean.  Maggie been frustrating me with her stubbornness in this suicide mission, true.  But she right.  They will never, ever be even.
“Ya’ll know Blackbeard, too?”  I admit it.  I laughed.  A little.
Okay.  I don’t know if this bodes well for this episode or not, but the cold opening in this episode?  Was the most underwhelming cold open of this season.
At least the opening credits still give me that old familiar rush of the heyday of TWD.
Fake Stephanie and Eugene are on Walker clean up duty.  Hmm.  I think I’m going to refer to Fake Stephanie as Fifi until she gets a real name for brevity’s sake.
Fifi handles herself surprisingly well with the Walkers.  Is she one of Mercer’s stormtroopers working undercover maybe?
Somehow I doubt it’s true that our friends can trust “Lance” but whatever, lol.
I hate to admit it but I’m already kind of bored with this episode.  We’re barely over 6 minutes in.
I didn’t recognize Princess without her fluffy pink coat!
Zeke is definitely struggling.
I do like that these two  have been paired up.  They have taken to each other quickly and already have a good rapport.  There’s something endearing about their scenes together.
“Never been afraid of hard work.  Kinda anti-friends who die from stubbornness.”  Have I mentioned lately how much I love Princess?  Because I really, really do.
So it’s been days.  Has it been days that Maggie and Negan and Co. have been outrunning the Reapers?  I’m talking since they left the safe house.  Does that mean that it’s also been days since Kelly and Connie’s reunion?  This timeline is so slow and yet they keep telling us it’s been days and making me think we’ve been missing time.  Like I can’t even.
You know Carol’s “Pookie is in danger” senses have to be big-time tingling by now if it’s been DAYS.
Also?  Alden almost certainly has to be dead.
But I digress.  They obviously don’t want us getting hung up on the apparent time warp between ASZ, Meridian, and the Commonwealth.  It’s like the Bermuda Triangle of the ZA.
“A person with your pedigree...”
Okay then.  Commonwealth is full of uppity assholes.  Good to know.
Yumiko looks classy!  I say that in my best Princess voice, lol.
Well.  At least they’ve given Daryl Dog back.  Has Dog come to his senses though?  That is the question.
Daryl sharing a smoke with the enemy to gain some intel.  Or maybe just the keys to food storage.
So.  Another redshirt (Elijah’s sister’s friend) we don’t know bites the dust.  Meh.  Including that tidbit in the trailer was purposefully misleading, lol.  Not that I want people to die, but still.
“But the one?  He’s mine.”  Let’s take bets.  Was it Carver Elijah has a beef with because it just seems like it was.  Could also be that his name is the only one I know, lol.
Where is Maggie sending our hobbled Father G?
“I kept my mask for practical and sentimental reasons.”  Negan?  You almost had me.  He really can’t help his inherent asshole-ishness can he?
But seriously.  Yuck at what they about to do because I assume Alpha and Co. at least cured the nasty skins.
I wish I could say I give a damn that they’re attempting to give Leah some more likeable layers but it’s a cheap cheat so naw.
There’s that damn river that symbolizes the great divide between Daryl and his love and his family.  At least it’s pretty.
I’m with Daryl.  Is Pope just looking to cleanse the earth of those he doesn’t feel belong or what?  Wheedle the truth out of her, Daryl.
“You never needed anyone to make you strong.”
Think our guy has ever said this to his real girl?
It’s kinda funny that the Whisperer flunkie is now the herding Whisperer tutor.
Is that the Reaper’s version of a priest?  Sorry.  I swear.  I’ve been trying to pay attention during their scenes.  But my mind wanders because it feels like Woodbury and the Sanctuary all over again.  The Whisperers at least were elevated by Samantha Morton, Ryan Hurst, Thora Birch, and yes, Jeffrey Dean Morgan.  Like I love Norman Reedus and the character he’s crafted in Daryl but he’s not enough to have me enthralled with Leah and these dudes.  I don’t care if they were all Calendar pinups before the ZA.
Truly.  A+ casting with Yumiko’s brother.
Yeah.  Something’s definitely fishy about Tomi’s reluctance to go back to his old life in the Commonwealth, but the desire for a slower, less stressful existence is definitely relatable so I’m not going to hold that part against him at all.
What did Maggie say after Elijah asked if Negan had changed?  Because I replayed it a handful of times and still don’t know.
This Lancy Hornsby dude reeks of slimy politician.
Too much one on one Daryl and Leah in this episode.  Without any kind of chemistry at least these two drag each other and their parts of the episode down.  Leah’s character is a fail for me and it has nothing to do with shipping reasons.  She’s just not believable or authentic to her role as a mercenary.
“If I could do it all over again, I’d have killed every single one of you.”  Damn.  Well.  He’s being true to himself, I guess.  Unapologetically Negan.
Again.  I can’t say Negan’s wrong exactly but shit does he deliver some uncomfortable truths.
Princess’s childlike delight over treats is <3.
Look at Eugene running toward danger!  OG Eugene would never.  Abe would be so proud.
Eugene and Fifi actually work pretty good together but it all feels so staged.  I feel sorry for our guy.
“This guy was being, well, an asshole.”  LMAO @ Josh’s delivery. The asshole definitely deserved that punch and his date deserved to be eaten.
Real Stephanie is so pretty.
Aww.  She’s concerned about Eugene.
Oh shit.  Eugene punched Pamela Milton’s little entitled prick of a son.  This feels like the ASZ Monroes all over again.  Sorry.  I can’t remember their names.
Poor Eugene.  Have I said that already?
Is this Lance Hornsby guy the lesser of two evils or...”
All the chances you’ve gotten, hmm?  Seems to me they’ve been set up for some failure too, though.
Maggie and Negan leading a herd where?  Meridian?
That poor woman.  Just wanting her family safe and spared of seeing her meet her maker.
f
So Leah’s not completely cold.  Okay.  Doesn’t mean she’s able to be saved though.
At this point, Kang is just  yanking Daryl’s chain and ours in the process.
Even hidden behind that skin mask, Elijah made me tear up when he saw his sister.
No previews?  What a copout.
Not Kang correlating Maggie and Negan to child and coach, lol.
The narrative they keep pushing about the villains having families and FEELINGS doesn’t change much for me, Angela.  Gracie was the only innocent in that outpost Team Family attacked.  I’m not saying they should have done it but stop trying to make the bad guys sympathetic.  It isn’t earned.
Interesting how she mentions Gabe is trying so very hard to hold onto faith.
If Leah’s the frog boiling in that pot?  They better be serving frog legs to the starving community she’s hunting.  Just saying.
Overall impression of this episode?
It was boring.  No seriously.
I wish I could say I liked it better but it was just meh.  I can’t even muster up any words because I just feel blah about it and that’s not a good feeling to have going into the first final (mid?  half?  tri?  I don’t know what to call it) episode of the season.
Withholding the previews further adds to the doldrums because what is there to actually be excited about here after that episode?  At least try to pique our interest, Angela.

RE:ID Rant! /SPOILERS/
I just finished watching Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness and made some scene pack which you can find here.
I’m not the biggest fan of putting my opinion out there on the internet but I'll try to write my opinion while still be careful.
NO HATE TO ANY CHARACTER LISTED BELLOW THANK YOU!
Anyhow, I need to talk about it!
First of all, amazing character design and rendering. All the characters looks amazing and I adore the little details, for example, Leon's little head twitch or look at the president’s facial details. I think we all agree that they aced in that department. (will talk more about that subject after character analysis)
Now, the plot... the plot.
Look in all honesty it was a nice plot but i felt it went a bit too fast, not enough build up and stuff. I don't have much to say on it, only a few default on the characters and why and how things happen but I'll talk about that through character analysis.
Okay, about our main character Leon.
He was badass, I'm so surprised he knew what to do in the submarine, honestly that was a good scene I was really anxious for him. He did care for the people around him but I didn’t get that sweet side of him like he had in RE2 or in DAM, I'm saying this because even if he saw Shen May’s brother, he didn’t have the empathy of his last wishes, like Shen May basically said: “He doesn’t want this to happen again and that why this *the chip* can help us.” And what annoys me the most and that both the ‘villain's’ didn’t deserve to die so the least he could do is to not make it *the virus* happen again.
I am revolted at Leon for not giving the chip to Claire, not even telling the president about this shit! LIKE BRO. Also denying Claire, thinking he knows best?! Excuse me but Claire literally interviews people, she knows the Press! Anyhow, Annoyed...
Now let’s talk about Claire.
My girl Claire! They made her a side character that didn’t have much to add only confirmation to our suspicions which is good yes, but it isn’t Claire’s job, she deserve a much bigger role in the RE universe! I get it, she was also a ‘side’ character in RE2 and Leon is the star but still tho! She did give #girlboss energy which I am LIVING for! She was stunning! her character design and CGI was beautiful and I've seen a lot of people saying that she is ‘ugly as shit’ as i quote. I’m sorry but she looks realistic and you are going to cry about it? She is around her mid-tweenies, maybe around 27 and you gonna tell me that her being realistic is ‘ugly as shit’?! Yeah nah sorry pal, go and like Shen May (no hate to her, she is gorgeous) then and not our OG Girl Claire!
Claire deserved a bigger role and she is smart, like she is fucking smart! She almost decoded everything before the agents came and kidnap her, one of many reasons she should’ve had a bigger role! (Also please, your hand in marriage Claire ilysm)
Next on the list is Jason.
Okay, I'm sorry but i am in love with him.
I’m sorry okay! He fits the dilf characteristics and I cant-
Anyhow back to analysis.
I feel horrible, he didn’t deserve to die, the man had serious mental illness and PTSD involved, they showed that but they killed him off. Why? Because he wanted to stop the virus from ever happening by his own ways? Even if it is a violent way, there is still, there was a logical and reasonable. Honestly i think and/or probably, a lot of people might relate to him and Shen Mei, because he has PTSD and mental health issues and Shen Mei lost someone close to her and they are both trying to make the world better, in their own way and for Capcom to kill them both is such a shame..
Jason is such a badass tho like.. damn~  He was really well written as a side character, like, I enjoyed when he was on screen (Maybe because i like him but whatever)
Last but not least, Shen Mei!
I’m gonna be real and probs a lot of people are not going to like this but she was the least prominent character for me, like, yes she stands out a bit but for at least 2 episode she is.. just there and having little dialogue. But i did enjoy her twist, i felt like all that nothing from her was worth in someway. She is definitely #girlboss *chef kiss* and i can relate to her on a deeper level. I enjoyed that she silent for 2 episode because i can relate that she doesn’t talk, that she only listen and observes. I enjoy how she will do anything to help the people she love and that think that's what make Shen Mei a great character! Overall i did enjoy her character and i think her side role is very well placed with her personality.
CGI and Rendering Rant
I need to talk about the amount of details in the male characters but lack of it for female characters... You can see how, The President, Jason or Leon have detail, you can see their pores on their skin, you can see their history and age through those CGI detail on their skin and others but.. Claire or Shen May, their skin is  perfect. They do have a few details under her eyes but no pores, no small wrinkles, nothing. I think that's a shame. Shen Mei looks absolutely perfect, you cannot tell me that there is any default on her. I think that is marketing.. what I mean is that Shen Mei is an attraction for people to watch REID. She is absolutely stunning and has no default.
I was talking with a friend of mine that studies human biology and we were talking about those details, we went on the subject of the women representation and rendering and we both suspect makeup is involve. What i am saying is that Capcom doesn’t show those pores because : Makeup.
It can be a valid point. Exhibit A is Shen Mei eyelashes and slight makeup, she is meeting the President after all. So of course she would whip out some makeup. (I know i would.) Shen Mei eye Lashes are way longer longer than Claire’s which would go back to out theory of make up.
Photo comparation:
Tumblr media
Claire in her hotel room.
VS
Tumblr media
Shen Mei in the submarine. You might think that it’s not convincing enough but keep in mind that Shen Mei is looking up as her head is downwards!
Coming back to skin. In the last two picture, yes, you can see pours and details of the face of Shen Mei but i want to talk about normal viewing of the two character VS male character same view point.
Photo comparation:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The girls, looking perfect (ily both sm)
VS
Tumblr media
Leon at the (almost) same camera leveling and depth and you see way more characteristic then other female character even when Leon and Claire are around the same age. But they did nail it when the camera was close on both women.
Adding a note that Claire does show a it of characteristics, more than Shen Mei and the we get people calling her ‘Ugly as shit’ for having a realistic face.
Maybe Shen Mei is younger, Probably and surely but I'm 18, i have facial characteristics. the only thing that is realistic is her beauty spot which is a really nice touch I love it.
Anyhow i think I'm done talking about it.
I enjoyed watching the show and i was excited for it! i hope everyone enjoyed it! Also I love all the character, I'm not bullying them or critic them for their physic or anything else! I’m just ranting about things that was ‘negative’ only because i enjoyed so many aspect of it that the post would be longer aahh.
A few positives I will list are:
Camera angles (immerced)
Character movement (No awkward movement or glitch)
Motion blur (None sickening blur, right place Motion blur)
Lighting (Accurate lighting, not forgetting lighting through hair, ear etc)
Animation (Overall fucking amazing like holy shit)
Tension (Performed very well through animation and plot)
Emotion and facial expression ( I could write a whole essay on that, that’s how well they did it)
I think that's it :)
I hope you enjoyed me rambling on about this, i will write soon I've just had a holiday! scheduled writing around the end of next week!

Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline (Book Review)
Monday 30th November 2020 Book Review - Ready Player Two by Ernest Cline First time reading. Rating: ** So I finished Ready Player Two! I'm sad to say that it didn't live up to the expectations I had for it especially after I thoroughly enjoyed reading Armada earlier this year. I did see some negative comments about RP2 before I started reading it so I'm not sure if that just put me in a mindset of negativity or if I would have felt this way even if I hadn't seen negative comments. The first part of this review will be spoiler free and the later part will include spoilers but I'll include a warning where the spoilers start. I also know this is a long one so there's a tldr on the last page if you'd rather read it!
[Spoiler free section but contains spoilers for Ready Player One] Ready Player Two picks up where Ready Player One left off, Wade has won Hallidays contest and inherited the OASIS and the rest of Hallidays property. As part of his inheritance, Wade comes across new technology developed by Halliday but never released to the world that leads Wade and the rest of the High 5 on a new Easter Egg hunt with a brand new villain turning up to make things complicated. My biggest issues were in the first 100 pages with the writing, pacing and characters and then when the plot finally got going my issue was with the main villain and their treatment. I also just find it awkward reading Cline's attempts at women, POC and LGBT+ representation. While I do appreciate the effort and inclusion, it's not done very well and clearly Cline hasn't got the right people around him to point this out. As well as issues with his writing of these types of characters I also have issues with the content. Unnecessary sex references, repeating small points multiple times, over-complication of minor details, treating the reader like an idiot, and more effort put into the nostalgic references rather than progressing the plot. A lot of these also combine into the issues I had early in the book with the pacing, sometimes moments were being unnecessarily drawn out and other times there were moments which I wish had more attention given to them. As the book progressed I found this issue lessened as the plot moved forward but it's still something that was an issue for me again towards the end. Most of the characters I actually didn't have a huge issue with apart from some characters being more side-lined and not getting quite as much time as I would have liked but that would be a minor issue. My bigger issue, especially at the beginning of the book, was with Wade, our main character. He's obnoxious and brags about everything he now has. He has an anger issue which makes him even more unlikeable and he totally violates the privacy of people using the OASIS system! As the plot progresses and he has less opportunities to be like this I found I could tolerate him more but there were still lines that I found myself scoffing at throughout the book. I want to also talk about the villain and why I had issues there as well but because it would contain spoilers I'll talk about what I did like first of all, explain the reasons for my rating and then get into the spoilers. So! Although I've been pretty negative so far there was some parts I actually did like which stopped me from dnf-ing the book. Although RP2 has some pretty bad writing and pacing issues I did actually enjoy the plot. I thought when it eventually got going it was actually pretty fun and I enjoyed a lot of the references even though Cline does treat his readers a bit like we're idiots when he's explaining them. I also still love Samantha/Art3mis and a lot of the other characters in the book so that managed to keep me going. Samantha has always been the more level headed and responsible one but she's still utterly badass and I wouldn't mind her being a role model for young girls reading these books. I was sort of conflicted between 2 and 3 stars for my rating because while in the end I can say I reasonably enjoyed the book I also had so many issues and those first 100 pages really annoyed me. Ultimately I settled on 2 stars because I know that I'm never going to reread this book but I also didn't dislike it enough to only give it 1 star. Now I'm going to get into the spoiler section and talk about my main issues with the villain and some of the spoiler-ey stuff that I actually did like so this is your spoiler warning for this section! [SPOILERS for Ready Player Two] So the villain is Halliday. Not really, technically the villain is a corrupted copy of Halliday's memories housed inside his OASIS avatar Anorak. I think by making this distinction Cline was trying to show a difference between Halliday and Anorak and that they're two different "people" which possibly would have been fine if Cline hadn't also totally dragged on the "real" Halliday in the process. He goes to great lengths to let us know that the real Halliday actually wasn't a good guy at all and was actually a sociopath. I have a few issues with this. The first and more minor issue is that, from what I remember, Halliday is portrayed as a good guy in RP1 and somebody a lot of the characters, especially Wade, admire. I didn't reread or rewatch RP1 before reading RP2 (especially as the movie is so different) so maybe I'm misremembering but it just felt like such a shock. I am well aware that Halliday wasn't perfect, especially when it comes to Kira and Og but that doesn't mean he needs to be villainised! I think the first book/movie perfectly showed how flawed he was without making him a villain and it's just so upsetting to me that Cline went in this direction for RP2. I also have an issue with Halliday as the villain because I think it could be so damaging for people who looked at Halliday and saw this socially awkward introvert who is also a genius and were inspired by that or could see parts of themselves in Halliday's character but now they're being told that, actually, because he pined after his friend's wife he's a sociopath! I think it could be so damaging to people who looked up to him. As I said, Halliday in the first book is flawed but so is everybody and he could still have been a brilliant role model for kids if Cline hadn't taken RP2 in this direction. For my final complaint regarding Halliday I felt like his relationship with Og and Kira was ruined in this book. Yes, in the first book his relationship with them was strained but I feel like they still loved each other. Even though Og had nothing to do with the company anymore Halliday still included Og in his will. I think Og still had affection for him and I never felt like they were friends through any sense of duty from Og. But here that relationship was totally butchered and Halliday felt like somebody Og and Kira tolerated because they felt sorry for him. And look where it got them, he totally violated Kira's privacy multiple times! Because of course Halliday couldn't just harmlessly pine over her, he had to go and do something absolutely mental. It just feels so out of character because even though he's a bit socially awkward he's a really smart man and should know better than to do this! It also at times felt like Halliday was the butt of their jokes which is just horrible! And not at all how I remembered any of these characters. As I said, maybe I'm mis-remembering but even so it was still a cause of discomfort and greatly affected my enjoyment of the book. But that's not all folks! Anorak isn't the only villain! Sorento is back! I just don't like the character at all so instantly I was annoyed because I dislike him so much but then he really wasn't involved that much at all which makes me wonder why Cline even brought him back to begin with?! He had one moment towards the end where he played a role in the death of Og and the "battle"/"escape" (how ever you want to word it) that ensued but I feel like this could have been done in a different way without having to bring Sorento back just for this. For spoiler-ey stuff that I did like. I liked Kira being more of a central character and getting to find out more about her. I think she's a really cool character and it was nice to go on her adventure this time around. I liked all the quests for the shards, especially the John Hughes one as a big John Hughes fan myself! I also liked the final battle between Og and Anorak. It's something that I think Cline does really well and also showed that he can do big, epic endings without it having to be a big battle sequence with lots of characters. 1v1 worked just as well and was just as enjoyable to read if not even more so. And that's the end of the spoiler section! Here's the tldr because I know this has been a long one! TLDR (Spoiler free) I had a lot of issues with Ready Player Two, specifically with the writing, pacing and handling of some of the key characters. I gave it 2 stars because I already know I'm not going to reread it so I wouldn't give it a 3 but I didn't dislike it enough to give it a 1. There were some elements that I did enjoy that managed to keep me going. Thanks so much for reading! Let me know if you've read RP2 and your thoughts or if you're planning on reading it (if so I hope you enjoy it more than I did!) Rating: ** Blog | Twitter | Goodreads (Read it first on my blog.)

We’re about 3 months away until the long anticipated release of the one, the only, the extraordinary, Kingdom Hearts III! Almost 14 years of waiting with about a dozen side games and HD re-releases are finally building up to this grand moment for video game fans. And like most other fans out there, I needed a serious catch up to remember all the convoluted lore and relive all the good times and bad with our favorite Keyblade wielders and Disney team members.
Since I don’t have all of the games on hand, much less the time to play the ones I own, I went to the wonderful world of YouTube and over the course of two months binged through about 30 hours of content, right from the very beginning! It was so much fun to relive all the series highlights, finally watch the newer content in the HD re-releases, and pick up on the little details I missed the first time around. And I thought I’d share some of the wonderful thoughts going on in my head during my binge.
Without further ado, here are Eliza’s silly but honest taglines, asides, observations, and comments of the Kingdom Hearts series!
Kingdom Hearts
Tumblr media
The OG most ambitious crossover
I’ve been in this world for three hours and CAN’T FIND THE NEXT CHECKPOINT.
I know we jab at Chain of Memories for its awful gameplay, but I legit-erally didn’t finish the Atlantica world cause I had no idea where the fuck to go next. Even for a 2002 game, the mechanics were a nightmare sometimes.
Sometimes having every other world set up like a labyrinth is too much work than it’s worth.
Seriously, you have to talk to Aerith a million times to get Curaga. How the fuck were you supposed to know that without the Internet or a strategy guide??
Came for the bizarre mix of Disney and Final Fantasy– stayed for the characters and mildly convoluted story.
Just gonna add this in with the other “the power of friendship” crap I love.
  Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories
Tumblr media
Worst. Fucking. Fighting. System. EVER.
You ever wonder how the board meeting went for this game?
“So it’s, like, 50% the same game again, but shitty.”
I’m here to button mash, not strategize like Magic the fucking Gathering
This is the one where all the hot villains show up, right?
Just don’t let Axel’s bad boy facade fool you. He’s a finger guns bisexual with bad dad jokes.
Tumblr media
10/10 will steal your girlfriend, boyfriend and nonbinary significant other
Every time someone says “memory,” take a shot.
Also, are we never gonna talk about where Pluto went with that letter? Are we supposed to accept he just comes and goes however he pleases?
  Kingdom Hearts II
Tumblr media
The best one. You can’t change my mind.
One man’s convoluted revenge scheme at the cost of, like, 5 teenagers’ mental well-beings.
I’ve only known Roxas for 6 days, but if anything happens to him, I’ll kill everyone in this room and then myself.
So Ansem wasn’t really Ansem. You see, he was this scientist’s apprentice who– aaaaaand I’m lost.
If your fandom experience at this point didn’t include calling Xemnas “Mansex” or listening to Dr. Bombay’s “My Sitar” to cope with Demyx’s 2nd boss battle, you did it all wrong.
Tumblr media
We all made fun of Demyx for needing a notecard for his mission, but my work desk is a cluster of reminders and sticky notes, so I can’t judge anymore.
The beginning of the longest, most painful wait for a sequel.
I’m sure Haley Joel Osment is a chill dude, but who the fuck allowed him to sing?
  Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days
Tumblr media
Area Man Tries to Balance Life Between Work, Broken Marriage, and Two Adopted Kids in Existential Crises
Spoiler Alert: It ends horribly for everyone involved
When the realization set in that he became a father
Saix being a bitch
Family drama
Seriously, Saix, the last time I saw a man this pissy about his friend spending time with someone else was The Road to El Dorado. And Tulio and Miguel were supposed to be a gay couple.
Well, that was a depressing ass backstory on why Roxas has two Keyblades
“Who am I?!”
Anyone out there still calling Xion a Mary Sue better apologize to my daughter in the next five seconds.
The Organization’s HR complaint box probably looks like a tornado blew through it…
At least they seem to have good enough health insurance since their youngest members tend to fall into month long comas.
  Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
Tumblr media
Remember when Xehanort was a scientist’s apprentice who went AWOL? Think again, bitch!
The point where you realize this is all just a long, cruel, brutal DnD campaign
It’s best if you just don’t get emotionally invested in any of the characters. No one has a happy ending.
How one man’s total lack of self-awareness and critical thought dooms the universe
No, seriously, I’m sorry, Terra is a massive idiot. Master Xehanort doesn’t even have to try hard to manipulate Terra; he’s just that goddamn dense and does a lot of stupid shit on his own. These are facts.
I can’t even handle the secondhand embarrassment of his Neverland visit where he thinks Peter Pan is after the light when he was guarding a literal treasure chest, like, that’s just too dumb.
I still love him and wish him a wonderful redemption, and he definitely didn’t deserve losing his friends, family and his free will, but there were so many avoidable stupid disasters if he didn’t just blindly trust the wrong people.
Terra is the physical embodiment of “I am not a clever man.”
Forget the darkness in his heart– I’m more concerned about how many worms are eating his brain.
Tumblr media
Terra, this bitch just asked you to cut out the heart of a 14-year-old girl, and you just went “chill.” Did you already forget your last oopsie with Aurora?
Loving mother left to clean up her husband and son’s messes…. all of them…
She’s about a couple steps away from becoming a wine mom to get through this shit.
As you can see, the main difference between Ventus and Roxas is that one is a literal ray of sunshine who did nothing wrong, and the other is a mass of anxiety who says “fuck” more often than he’s allowed to.
  Kingdom Hearts: Coded
Tumblr media
The one everyone forgets existed.
Guys, I just wanted to know what Mickey’s letter said. I didn’t ask for another whirlwind adventure.
The most outrageous excuse for a midquel, but dammit that last bit in Castle Oblivion… I’m gonna need a moment to recollect myself.
Yeah, if this bit didn’t get you emotional, get out of my house.
What do you fucking mean Xehanort isn’t fucking dead??
  Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance
Tumblr media
Wait a minute, all Terra and Aqua had to do for their Mark of Mastery was hit some balls and spar each other. Why do Sora and Riku need to go through coma nightmares and fever dreams??
Just… just give up questioning the lore…
So Ansem the Wise made a copy of his computer, and that’s a sleeping world where Jeff Bridges exists, I– I’m done.
Tumblr media
And if this didn’t break your heart just a little bit, we can’t be friends.
Had the potential to just be Kingdom Hearts III if Nomura wasn’t too deep in perfecting those renders
We’re gathered here today in the bonds of just a couple of guys being dudes.
But seriously, there is zero heterosexual explanation behind Sora and Riku’s Sound Ideas coming together to make “Dearly Beloved.”
So is Ienzo really gonna gloss over the fact Lea stood by while a clone sucked out his life force? … Okay…
I’m still bothered by the fact Young Xehanort and Haida from Aggretsuko have the same English voice actor, because they’re total opposite energies.
Kingdom Hearts X [chi] Back Cover
Tumblr media
“Traitor!”– Ben Solo-Organa, Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens
I’m surprised no one took a step back and said “Guys, maybe the Master was fucking insane and trying to dupe us all with this Book of Prophecies shit.”
I’m sorry, I can’t trust anything the guy says or does. He put his FUCKING EYEBALL IN A KEYBLADE FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES.
Not to mention, he purposefully made them keep their roles a secret from each other which made misunderstandings pile on top of each other, like, dude!
I’m sticking to the theory that there was never a traitor, and he just pulled this out of his ass for the drama of it all.
Does no one in these games sit down and talk through their problems like normal people do? Again, worms in the brains…
Friendly reminder that cute Keyblade wielder avatar you made likely died in the Keyblade War.
I have nowhere near enough time to wade through like 900 quests worth of content in an ongoing game, and I don’t know how much I’ll need for Kingdom Hearts III…
Like, apparently Ven time traveled?? The fuck??
“What’s in the box?!”
Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep A Fragmentary Passage
Tumblr media
If you thought that title was a mouthful, wait for the onslaught of feelings!
“The things I do for love.”– Courage, Courage the Cowardly Dog
The most beautiful and emotional game demo in the universe
I wanna eat all the rocks
I just want my wife to come home and be able to rest.
“Please, God, just let me have one good day?”
“Oh my God, you again?? Give it a rest buddy!”
Kingdom Hearts III is RIGHT there! I can see it, I can taste it, I can smell it, it’s so goddamn close that I can hear the angelic choir singing Kumbaya. I haven’t been teased this bad since BBC Sherlock series 3.
Kingdom Hearts III (based on all current information from trailers and conventions)
Tumblr media
You get Norted, and YOU get Norted! Everyone gets Norted!!
Impractical zippers and belts are so 2005. Now everything is about plaid and excess buttons.
“I want to see my little boy (Here he comes) I want to see my little boy!”
Tumblr media
What is he doing? His best. Also, get a load of the detail work on his hands.
Xion and Naminé are on the box art, so they have to be in the game, BUT WHY AREN’T THEY IN THE TRAILERS YET? WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY DAUGHTERS?
“The ending is going to be difficult for fans to handle.” I’m sorry, Nomura, but I forgot how to read for a moment there and will be in a horrible state of denial for the next three months.
If you’re calling that Heartless doll your waifu, congratulations, you’d be the first to die in a horror movie.
For fuck’s sake, it’s emitting black smoke and has the penetrating eyes of death. It must be burned.
And there you have it, folks! Most every silly thought that went through my wonderful brain through my Kingdom Hearts binge! It was worth putting off many of my other shows to refresh my memory on the lore— as contrived as it is multiple times—, see all my favorite characters, relive the greatest moments, and get pumped for what’ll come next in Kingdom Hearts III. I can already tell it’s going to be a great one, and I can’t wait to start playing!
Funny Observations of the #KingdomHearts Series We're about 3 months away until the long anticipated release of the one, the only, the extraordinary, Kingdom Hearts III!

So I saw The Movie. Spoilers--good, bad (or neutral), and ugly--below. Spoiler-free: not as good as the first Avengers, but better by far than AoU.
The Good
This film made me even more furious with Joss Whedon, solely because it proves that the problems in AoU were of his own making, namely his inability to handle too many characters and therefore incompetence when it comes to a film of this type. The Russo brothers took a very smart approach to this, in that they knew they couldn’t take the time to give all of the good guys the characterization they’d have gotten in a film with a smaller cast, so they basically made Thanos the main character, which is really what should’ve happened with Ultron but inexplicably did not happen.
And man, what a joy Thanos is as a character. So many superhero villains are so kind of... one dimensional, tbh. Or not one dimensional, but rather, they seem to have an understanding that what they’re doing is evil or, if they don’t have that understanding, a lack of real conviction. They’re nascent Sith, in a sense, running on either the sheer joy of being cruel or on a heightened desire for vengeance. They can be a lot of fun, don’t get me wrong, but they seem, for lack of a better word, like cartoon villains.
They’re fun, like I said, and the world is full of people who are just... evil for the sake of being evil (as we’ve found out in the last ~2+ years more than a lot of us realized, I think), but they get tired when they’re the villain of everything. Chaotic Evil, in other words, gets less compelling when it’s all you see. It becomes the same person with a different mask, 9/10 times, which I’m sure contributes a lot to superhero movie fatigue.
Thanos, though, I enjoyed because he was 100% convinced that what he was doing was for the good of the universe. Ultron was trying to go there, I think, but Whedon handled it with about as much delicacy as a bull in a china shop (Ultron is mostly redeemed by his being played by James Spader, who is a delight at all times, but that also ends up being his downfall because you get the feeling that he’s winking at the audience the entire time... “I’m saying this with conviction, but here’s a quip to show that I know I’m evil.”). Thanos actually felt real. He felt like he believed everything he was saying, like he truly thought he was doing the universe a mercy, that he was the good guy.
And that doesn’t redeem him by any means (incoming people screeching about how I’m downplaying genocide or stanning because dude’s evil, y’all), but it makes him infinitely more compelling, and GOD, that is refreshing. It’s the same way that Killmonger was refreshing because, even though you don’t agree with it, you see his point. I mean, who among us that’s worked retail hasn’t wanted to snap our fingers and make half of humanity vanish? It’s been more than a decade since my last retail position, and I still have those days.
On a different level, it’s that garbage that gets pushed by freshman level philosophy students who are like “people should stop having babies” because that, not a mismanagement of resources by the wealthy and powerful, is why there’s scarcity. It’s rubbish, absolute rubbish (and it doesn’t work because science tells us that the universe, that all of existence, is infinite... and fuck, the movie’s science tells us that as well--Bananabread Cabletelevision had his little moment of hunting for spoilers and only got through about 1.4 million of the unending possibilities that exist BUT I DIGRESS), but at first blush, you ask yourself, “Wait, does he have a point?” No, he does not.
A rundown of other Goods:
Look, Thor in lightning form is the sexiest creature in existence. I’m sorry, I don’t make the rules.
Also I appreciated him getting another smushface. And then the immediately following Battle of the Chrises (all I’m saying is that if there’s not a threeway Chris standoff in Part Deux, I’ll be very sad. Also, someone please cast Chris Pine in Captain Marvel, he needs to spend the rest of eternity watching powerful women heroes in awe).
The people who were allowed gave fantastic performances. RDJ will be sorely missed as Iron Man (because if y’all think he’s living past the next film, I’m sorry for your loss), and of the good guys, I felt like he came the closest to being the main character here. Which has been true of the other Avengers films as well, so that’s nice to see. Ultimately, these first three phases of the MCU were Tony Stark’s story, and that finale will be really... well, painful.
Other great performances: Tom Holland (darling baby child, I wept for you), Mark Ruffalo (good at constipation), Bagels Cucumbers (that hurts to admit, he’s the Worst, but damn if he isn’t a good actor), Zoe Saldana (you’d better come back), Chris Hemsworth (as always), Paul Bettany (NOOO), and Elizabeth Olsen (poor darling).
The humor was nicely balanced, not fourth-wall breaking like you get in the Whedon Avengerses, but logical. It was kind of like exhaling: inhale the action and serious stakes, exhale the humor. It allowed breathing room in all the intensity, so that was great.
Also how can I have missed Wakanda that much if it’s only been like... not even two months since I saw Black Panther?
Look, if the next movie involves just one scene--just one!--of Okoye, Nat, and Wanda fighting together, my ticket will have been worth its price.
Related, Proxima Midnight is (a) literally the coolest name for anyone ever, and (b) my wife now.
The Neutral-Bad
Or, really, more the expected.
In any ensemble movie, you’re going to have a lot of characters whose purpose is just to step on scene, state their name and allegiance, and then fade into the background. This ended up being the case with pretty much all of Team Cap, and it was to their detriment. They had their shining moments (”Earth just lost her greatest defender” made me ship things like FedEx), but as opposed to the group above, they didn’t really have a lot to do? Or even really much in the way of reactions? They just sort of... came and saw and fought and that was it.
It felt a lot like nobody knew what to do with those characters, which is fair enough, but it also felt like they were wasted, and they shouldn’t have been. If I had to guess, I’d guess that the writers had to pick and choose which good guys they wanted to focus on and which new Avengers and old Avengers would get the attention. Tony because these films have been basically a huge Iron Man series. Thor because I think? the plot requires him to be Important, as per comic books. But as much as I adore Thor, I wish there had been a focus on Steve more. With Tony, you’ve got the plot of “oh my god Thanos, the thing I’ve been afraid of since 2008″ but maybe Steve could’ve had more of a reluctant plot, like he’s been heroing all this time but all he’s gotten for it is locked up and exiled and shit? I don’t know, point is that if Captain America is going to be so prominent in the MCU logo, he should get a bigger slice of the plot pie.
Also I’m annoyed with Gamora’s passing, though I wouldn’t call it a complete fridging because it wasn’t just for mangst. It was just mostly for mangst. Either way, though, I think that’s the death (besides the end ones) that bothered me the most. It didn’t feel unnecessary and was probably the most shocking, when you look at it objectively (more on that in a second), but... I don’t know, it bothered me, but I can’t 100% put my finger on why/how. I do appreciate, though, that it gave Gamora a decent arc in the film.
Anyway, to the deaths. The presumable permadeaths (Heimdall, Loki, and Gamora) were, for the most part, unsurprising. The Thor trilogy is over, so Heimdall and Loki end up being kind of extra weight, the former because he doesn’t have a lot to do that’s not in a role filled by another character, and the latter because the only other way he could’ve worked in this film was as an eleventh hour heroic sacrifice, and that feels almost too woobie-ish, like beyond Zuko levels of woobie.
The Great Dust Rapture at the end was also fairly unsurprising, mostly because there’s no way a good chunk of those characters aren’t coming back. At least two have sequels literally named after them coming out sometime in the next couple of years; as I also pointed out to Kyle, “Look, Gamora may be dead forever, but if the rest of the Guardians remain dust, GotG3 will just be The Adventures of Rocket Raccoon Being Very Sad.” The non-dusted bunch are the OG Avengers, plus or minus a few friends; the stakes for the next film are, therefore, a LOT higher, since all the OG Avengers have finished their trilogies and, should they survive, will probably only ever show up again in cameos. We know T’Challa and Peter Parker and the Guardians of the Galaxy and probably Dr. Strange and everyone still have Things To Do.
But the OG Avengers do not, and they couldn’t really kill off the main characters of the franchise with one film to go, so...
(also, calling it now: the next film is going to be The Avengers: Rebirth. I will put money on it)
The Ugly
But HNNGH. Okay.
I 100% understand the choices they made with the dustinatings, but like... there’s no suspense whatsoever. If Marvel didn’t release their film titles 6000 years in advance, maybe the stakes would’ve been stakier, but as it stands, it’s like... come on people.
You know what would’ve worked way better and made for stakier stakes? Don’t kill off the main characters from franchises that still have sequels coming out. Kill off sidekicks. T’Challa doesn’t die, but maybe M’baku or Okoye does. Spare at least three of the Guardians of the Galaxy. Leave Peter Parker’s fate uncertain (though his death scene was literally the only one that made me tear up because TOM HOLLAND IS JUST THAT GOOD, DARLING FROG-IN-MOUTH BOY). Bucky, Sam, Nick Fury, Maria Hill--they can remain dusted. But if you want to keep the stakes for the second film while actually letting us believe that there won’t be any resurrections this time, maybe don’t kill people who we know will be back in various MCU films at future dates.
It’s like I keep thinking when I watch trailers for Solo or literally any prequel anything: the problem with 99% of prequels is that we know who lives and who doesn’t, so giving us trailer shots of Chewbacca in danger, for example, is like trying to play peek-a-boo with an adult. We have object permanence, it’s not surprising when you pull your hands away and your face is still there. It’s not surprising that Chewbacca isn’t going to get his face bashed away by a rock. It’s not surprising that somehow, in Avengers Four: You Asked For More, all the dusted people with eponymous films coming up will be back.
Another big plot hole: why didn’t Dr. Strange go and do his future vision the second a giant green man fell into his living room? Bruce, as Bruce, tells him “Thanos is coming for the macguffins” and then he goes and spends the next 5 minutes going through possibilities and then figures out the very easy way to solve the thing.
That easy way? Just have Wanda destroy the time stone. Now we’re not panicking about taking out Vision’s brain as fast as we can (point: that scene was unrealistic, Shuri would’ve actually had it done in about 13 seconds flat) and Thanos has lost and maybe he goes around killing people manually but at least he can’t rewind time if things don’t go his way.
The movie didn’t do this, obviously, but it’s one of those things where it’s like “if your audience can figure out a better way of doing things before the credits even fucking roll, maybe revise your script.”
(if Carrie Fisher had been alive to script doctor this shit, we wouldn’t have this problem, universe)
Other big frustration: does every Avengers film really need Thor to go on an epic quest away from everyone else for half the film? Don’t get me wrong, it was pretty cool to see him jumpstart a sun and see Peter Dinklage being huge (all I’m saying is that if Disney ever acquires the rights to the X-Men, things are going to get very confusing) and see a new Mjolnir-like-object, but oh. my. god. Every time those scenes were happening, I felt like it was a bathroom break. Like legit, that fucking ax had better cleave Thanos in half in the next movie because otherwise, that was so much wasted time that could’ve been devoted to literally anything else.
Final Miscellaneous Thoughts
Maybe this means that GotG3 will be about Peter Quill actually growing up and dealing with his issues. I hope it does.
Also, Nebula/Tony Stark road trip back to earth? I’m all about it.
Wonder Woman would’ve ended this all in about 30 seconds flat, which is why Captain Marvel can’t show up until the next film.
The next film is literally going to be at least 90 minutes of Thanos refusing to interact with anyone trying to kill him because he’s on vacation and fuck you.
Literally why does anyone still live in NYC in the MCU? The first movie would’ve been enough to convince me to move to a cornfield in Nebraska and just stay there for eternity.
“Thanos will return.” Along with literally everyone else SERIOUSLY THIS IS NOT SUSPENSEFUL MARVEL AAAAAAUGH.

001 for Star Wars!
Thanks Ami!!!
001| Star Wars
Favorite character:  I love so many of them!!!  Obi-Wan Kenobi might win the overall title, because…he deserves it, and he is probably the one I have read the most fanfic for.  On the other hand, Luke, Han, and Leia are just!!! The OG team!!!  + dashing Lando of course.  I love Padme and Qui-Gon and Bail Organa.  All my clone children!  And I love all the characters from the sequel trilogy, particularly one messy disaster named Ben Solo, and ALSO THE WHOLE CREW FROM ROGUE ONE BUT ESPECIALLY CASSIAN ANDOR I WISH WE STILL TALKED ABOUT THESE GUYS
*restrains myself from breaking open my filing cabinet of favorite Star Wars EU/Legends characters*
…
nvm
I also love Mara Jade, Talon Karrde, Shada D’ukal, Admiral Pellaeon, Arwen Cohl, Rella, Anoon Bondura, Darsha Assant, Tahl, Bant Eerin, Bastilla Shan, Darth Revan, and yeah there are a lot more I need to stop
Least Favorite Character:  Jabba the Hutt, hands down.  sorry Diego Luna I have no idea what the attraction is lol
5 Favorite Ships (canon or non-canon):  Reylo first and foremost (but you been knew it, no surprise), Obi-wan/Happiness, Hanleia, Rebelcaptain, Anidala, Finnrose, Poe/Kaydel (it’s never gonna happen in canon but it will in my dreams), Luke/Mara, Qui-gon/Tahl, Talon/Shada, Arwen/Rella, wAIT did you say just FIVE?!
Character I find most attractive:  oof HOW DO I DECIDE?!  Han Solo obviously has a great face and a charm that is rakish and boyish and manly all at once…Cassian Andor is a soft man, like I mean his hair looks soft and I would love to run my hands through it and hug him and tell him everything will be ok…Obi-wan has beautiful eyes and Ewan McGregor’s smile…Ben Solo is Adam Driver and size-wise he should be intimidating but honestly I’m just like the bigger he is the more I want to hug him, also dark hair and dark eyes is MY TYPE sO MuCH…Finn is John Boyega which means he is simultaneously cute and extremely hot…also RotS Anakin before he went all darkside, like that hair and scar were cool let’s face it
BUT LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING IF THEY EVER MADE CLOAK OF DECEPTION INTO A MOVIE I WOULD ABSOLUTELY  LOVE CAPTAIN ARWEN COHL
Character I would marry:  Honestly…let me refer you to the previous answer
Character I would be best friends with:  Finn.  And Leia (from OT or ST doesn’t matter)
A Random Thought:  my favorite Star Wars au is the one where Anakin becomes a caretaker/teacher of the Jedi Younglings, and he loves the kids so much and he is so caught up in his job that he either ignores or is endearingly blind to Palpatine’s seductions and as a result Palpatine never quite gets the Empire off the ground and the Jedi Order becomes a much better organization and everyone lives happily ever after
Unpopular opinion: Idk I mean Jar Jar is annoying but…I don’t hate him quite as much as some people do, or even dislike him as much as I used to…what can I say the creature has a good heart even if he is ridiculous, and I pity him for being manipulated by Palpatine to help authorize the use of the clone army, and some times I wonder if he ever regretted making that decisive vote in Padme’s name, and I doubt Emperor Palpatine let the Gungans lead peaceful happy lives after the Empire was born
My canon OTP: REYLO
My non-canon OTP: Poe Dameron x Kaydel Ko Connix
what? she’s completely loyal to him, and she’s played by the daughter of Carrie Fisher while he’s the protege/almost son of Princess General Leia
Tumblr media
Most badass character:  Obi-Wan, in his quiet way.  But also Baze Malbus with his huge gun and Chirrut Imwe oh my GOSH CHirrUT IMWE…………………….ok you know how about THE WHOLE ROGUE ONE CREW
additionally, Darth Vader.  that scene he’s in?  I mean all of his scenes?  I get chills, man.  And Darth Maul, while looking particularly evil, exudes this ferocity that is just like whoa, not to mention he survives GETTING CUT IN HALF
also BOTH REY AND KYLO REN/BEN SOLO IN ALL THEIR LIGHTSABER FIGHTS
MOST OBVIOUSLY THO: PRINCESS GENERAL LEIA ORGANA SOLO. FACE IT SHE IS COOLER THAN ALL Y’ALL.
Tumblr media
Most Epic Villain:  DARTH VADER.  LOOK HE HAS AN AURA.  AN AURA THAT MAKES YOU GO OHHHH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH.  LIKE THE RINGWRAITHS OR SEPHIROTH.  DARTH VADER IS ICONIC–TRAGIC–BUT ICONIC.  EPIC
Pairing I am not a fan of:  Kyl*x
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):  The Force in the prequel trilogy.  I don’t hate on the PT but honestly?  The midichlorian is the powerhouse of the Force? no
Favorite friendship:  OBI-WAN AND ANAKIN!!! MY HEART!  also Han and Luke, Obi-wan and Bant, Finn and Poe, Finn and Rey.  ALL OF ROGUE ONE.  Also I really desperately want Rose and Rey to become steadfast friends!
OMG WAIT I AM FORGETTING THE FOUR MOST IMPORTANT FRIENDSHIPS OF ALL:
ANAKIN AND R2D2, POE AND BB8, LANDO  AND L3, AND CASSIAN AND K2SO
Character I most identify with:  lol Rey?  for having compassion towards Ben Solo?  but also I have always gravitated toward Obi-wan Kenobi, the one who is relatively quiet and calm and wise  and who tells people not to be reckless but then jumps out of a window a 1000 stories in the air and who also needs a drink because Anakin is just really testing him today
Character I wish I could be: …I’ve always wanted to be a Jedi, one that would ignore the dumb decisions of the council and get criticized for it a lot, but I wouldn’t care because compassion and mercy are more important.  I would adopt all the younglings.  Or if I wasn’t allowed that, I would probably leave the Jedi Order and go off and start a new order, one for the lonely and lost and broken, one that promotes healing and family.  One that does not shrug its shoulders and say oh well your mother is a slave on a planet out of our jurisdiction, sorry you just have to give up on her, it’s not like with our magic powers we could easily break her out I mean

I received a message from someone asking why I enjoy Cloti, but they wished to remain “anon”.
I always feel like this question chokes me up because I’m not talented in expressing myself nor my emotions to others, but I figured I’d give it a try...
For me, Cloud and Tifa is realistic to what couples go through where as other FF couples are, well, fantasy like. They’re easy, they’re in the “honeymoon phase” and they really don’t go through realistic to where it’s relate-able. Which don’t get me, it’s totally fine and isn’t that the point of shipping; to enjoy something you can’t really have in reality?
Cloud’s story is such a normal one. I mean really c’mon? Young boy wants to impress the popular girl who he just so happens to have a crush on, but she’s always surrounded by boys who are more confident than he is? Then one day,he musters up some balls to call her out at night only to make an unexpected promise to help her if she’s in need? Totally relate able for a lot of guys in their early years.
Tifa, like any girl would, reads the paper everyday to see if Cloud is in SOLDIER, and waits for his return. When word gets out there are people from SOLDIER coming to town, Tifa gets giddy to see Cloud, but only to be disappointed when he doesn’t show- or so she thinks.
He hides his face in shame of not keeping his word and avoids her because of it. Little does Cloud know, at this point, all Tifa wants is to see Cloud. Things take turn for the worst, and a man Cloud looks up to destroys his town, kills his mother, hurts his best friend, and gravely injures the girl he likes.  All the anger Cloud felt in his childhood come rushing over him like a wave, and he himself is able to manage to take on this “great hero”, but pays a high price... he gets taken by Hojo to be a lab rat along with Zack.
Five years later, Zack and him bust out of the Shinra Mansion basement only to lose Zack in the process, fighting the hang over of his mako poisoning he some how makes it to a train station in Midgar only to be found by Tifa. At this point, they’re both shocked they’ve crossed paths AGAIN. Talk about ironic or as some would say it was “fate”.  When Cloud is finally coherent, he asks Tifa for a job to make a living and tells her of stories that don’t quite make sense. Finally, when they reach Tifa’s bar Cloud realizes once again Tifa surrounded by men who clearly are fond of Tifa.
For me personally, I feel like this is why Cloud is so “moody” in the beginning of the game. Once again, he has to fight for Tifa’s attention and that he doesn’t fit in with the new group she has. It’s almost like he’s resentful, which I find interesting tbh, anybody would. I’m sure we’ve all been there. We want undivided attention from our crush; anything to search for clues they just may like us back...
Anyways,  one mission goes extremely south  and I find the dialogue between Cloud and Tifa interesting before he falls into Aerith’s church.  There’s a part of the dialogue that isn’t optional right before he falls (from my memory, been awhile since I played)
Barret It's gonna blow! Let's go, Tifa!
Tifa Barret! Can't you do something?
Barret Not a damn thing.
Tifa Cloud! Please don't die! You can't die! There's still so much I want to tell you!
Cloud ******I know, Tifa......*******
That right there signals to me there was something brewing between them that they both recognized. Cloud, not distracted by personal resentment of the past, was himself in that moment.  And like always, they’re interrupted.  Once again, something always getting in the way of them finally confessing their feelings.
When Cloud falls on Aerith’s flowerbed, there’s something I find interesting. He remembers his fall from Mt. Nibel. You know where the part he follows Tifa and the bridge snaps as a child?  That fall brings him back to that time. I mean it’s nothing to telling but it’s something I’ve made note of.
Once Cloud and Aerith get of her church and he brings her back home safely, he is desperate to get back to Tifa’s bar. I think it’s cute you can call Tifa your “girl...friend”, I don’t think anyone else in the game has that option, so there’s like this build up between Cloud and Tifa that makes you want to know more.
When Cloud does finally get to meet back up with Tifa, he went through a slew of embarrassing events to dress up like a woman just to make sure she was alright. Cloud is somewhat macho, so for him to slap a dress on, makeup, and a wig with some girly panties is truly telling to how much he cares for Tifa and would do anything to make sure she is alright.
After several events of them leaving Midgar, the end of Cloud’s story is interesting. Tifa asks Cloud how badly she was hurt, and Cloud replies with he thought Tifa was a goner, but unprovoked he mentions how he was sadden by that thought.
Now, let me fast forward to after Aerith death and their at the Northern Crater. Cloud mentions to Tifa that he hopes she gets to meet the “real” Cloud. It’s like Nojima wanted to insinuate that this Cloud we’re seeing a fake; not real. We end up getting separated from Cloud, but we find him Mideel where Cloud’s mental state is completely broken, and Tifa decides she’s going to watch over him thus leaving the group...
When we finally get to the lifestream, that’s where we learn Cloud did what he did for Tifa. He likes Tifa and just wanted her to notice him. Cloud then find outs Tifa read the newspaper everyday searching for his name in it. Some people may think that’s “shallow” of Tifa but I don’t think so. She was just a girl, and at that age we get caught up in things like that.
Cloud and Tifa finally realize Cloud was there and he saved Tifa, Cloud is able to regain his trueself thanks to Tifa.  Now what is interesting is Cloud, in the true memory, says to Seph  “ Mom... Tifa...... my town... give it back...” he never said that in his flash back at Kalm.  Nojima’s writing for the script references back the “hope you get to meet the real cloud” quote and ofc when he says this is goodbye, until meet again line, “ Yeah...... Tifa...... We finally...... meet again......” This lets us know, the Cloud we knew before, wasn’t 100% Cloud which is so, idk, it’s so realistic bc people in real life will take parts of other people’s personality and morph them into one to great “their” personality.
Alrighty, so with the highwind scene, I find it super classic how Square did a romantic setting with Cloud and Tifa before the final battle. You know how you hear about soldiers making love to their wives before their deployed or in movies the hero makes love to his girl before he fights the villain? I feel like thats what Square did. People will fight about how this HW scene is canon, but I don’t think it matters. The Highwind scene is the Highwind scene, Cloud and Tifa spend the night together. Period. They share a kiss/have sex/ play a card game w/e you want to imagine, they spent a romantic night under the stars before the went to fight Seph. To be honest, it was the perfect night for them to come clean. What would they have to lose? They thought they were gonna die anyways.
They beat seph, yay game over, woot now we have COT and ACC, which really gives the realness.
I really can see how cloti struggled with their relationship because the events they went through was awful. They’re still mourning over their fallen comrade: Aerith. Cloud is feeling guilty for their deaths. In what reality would this make for the most perfect relationship? It doesn’t, but I feel given the hints and body language cloti is forming a romantic relationship, which is hard for them. You have two people who have pent up emotions from the OG events.
They seem to be going through their pain together but dont if that makes sense? Best way I can describe it is Tifa takes Denzel coming to the bar as Aerith showing her to  move on, but Cloud takes it as Aerith showing Cloud by raising Denzel, he can make up for his mistakes. Eventually after COT, Cloud and Tifa DO end up happy together with the children.
However, Cloud gets geostigma and he thinks this is the planet’s way of “punishing him” so he runs off, abandoning everyone at this point, and lives in hiding.   Eventually, Tifa does find where Cloud is staying at and finally getting Cloud to realize it’s time he lets go of the past. Some people will say, “Oh Tifa’s a “bitch” for doing that, but you know what? No, she’s not. You don’t coddle your partner for forever. In relationships, there’s times you have to give your partner a reality check. It’s called tough love. There’s a time where you tell your partner it’s time to stop feeling sorry for yourself and move on. You also don’t let your partner cut off everyone because he/she is too scared to ask for help or see they have people who dearly love him.
A lot of people who have never had a serious relationship do not realize that there’s times you hate your partner, you don’t know if you’re truly in love with this person anymore, you don’t open up to them, and you just think you’re better off without them. And that’s cloti in acc. They’re figuring it out. They’re pissy, they’re hurt, they’re tired, but you know what...they worked through it. They didn’t just bail and say “see ya later.”, Tifa waited for Cloud to forgive himself, and when he did look where he went? Back to tifa and the children.
I honestly think that’s why people struggle with shipping cloti is they think or maybe don’t understand when you love someone, they annoy you, make you mad, make you cry, and sometimes don’t understand you, but it’s loving you through those bad times that make you stronger. And maybe that’s why it’s easier to ship other couples is because reality is uncomfortable and we are raised to think everything is rainbow and butterflies x.x
Phew, this was long >.<  So yeah, TL;DR I love cloti bc they’re real and not your typical FF couple, like Cecil x Rosa or Squall x Rinoa where you don’t see the “Realness”. I feel like Cloti is that couple that isn’t on social media showing pictures of how “happy” they are when in reality they’re miserable, but the couple who keeps their relationship to themselves bc they don’t need to showcase it >.<

EPISODE 05: WAIT YOU TOOK ME AWAY FROM MY DOG
After Space Council, the teams were given a new and exciting twist: a mysterious spaceship appeared on the horizon, only to crash in for a long-awaited Team Swap. Inside the star, the voted-off castaways got to have a hand in deciding who went on which team, and the resulting three teams were as follows:
Minkowski - Richie, Karter, Josh, Carson
Lovelace - Drew, Patrick, Owen, Lydia
Kepler - Katie, Renee, Jakey, Logan
The new teams were given a music video challenge to break the ice, and after varying degrees of effort, Minkowski and Kepler emerged victorious. Before the vote, each team was given a chance to elect an MVP from the challenge who would be given a special power. Lovelace chose Patrick, Kepler chose Katie, and Minkowski all voted for different people so they didn’t get an MVP :( Katie and Pat, however, each got a fifteen-minute satellite call to a person of their choice from another team. Pat used his to call Logan, and Katie called Lydia shortly after, allowing the four of them to enact a secret plan to influence the next vote.
When Lovelace arrived at Space Council, they found out they had been infected by a virus from another team’s laboratory, which meant an extra fifth vote would be cast at their Council. Because of this, Owen was voted off 3 - 2 and sent into the star.
KARTER
I FOUGHT A FUCKING MONSTER AND NOW I AM ON ANOTHER FUCKING SHIP
AND THE OTHER TEAM WAS SO SHADY AND NOW I AM WITH THEM. I MISS MY TEAM. I AM ANTI-MEANIES. THESE ARE CLEARLY MEANIES
I CANT BELIEVE THE OTHER TEAM GETS TO CHEAT
I don't want these new friends :( I miss Logan and Lydia. Fuck this. Lovelace #1 is a gift and I miss all of them.
I hate this new crew and I am so fucking mad the Kepler ship gets this NEW SHIP SHIT but I still love my pals from the original team on that ship so I am torn.
I FOUGHT A FUCKING MONSTER.  KICK ME OFF I HATE THIS GAME WITHOUT MY PALS. Can someone send me out the airlock? Zo?

First: losing Stevie was no fun. I didn't want to vote him, and I told him as much at the end of the round where Jay left. But between a complete lack of traction from anyone else and a lack of time to put in the legwork myself, it didn't make sense for my game to keep him around. :( Sorry, Stevie. You deserved better. And for that matter, Karen, you too.
Onward and upward, anyway. Fweeeeeee, team swap! Love it. In an ideal world it would've come one round earlier or with another person from my OG tribe. Being the lone Minkowski on a tribe of Lovelaces is concerning. But I like this group. All people I'm familiar with to some degree, and two of whom have been pretty good allies in past games! Owen's the one I'm least familiar with, and even he and I have SOME history. Not extensive, but some.
Realistically, if we go to council, I know I'm in trouble. So I'm going to be doing everything I can to avoid that. In the meantime, this seems like it'll be a fun team! I'm excited to have a good time with Lydia, Drew and Owen. Hopefully we can kick some butt and take some names.
It all starts with this music video. I love editing video, although I haven't done so in a while. I think for this, we'll need a few things to go right: we need a good, catchy song; we need a concept (all the best music videos in ORGs have them, not just raw lip syncing); and above all, we need good-quality video from everyone. Good video can survive bad editing, but the opposite is not true.
And, of course, we need to make a video so objectively good that even a panel of subjective judges can't shut it down. Basically, I want to capture the magic we had in Heroes vs Villains 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S64ck2mPXs), though so much of that will be dependent on our teamwork.
Also, lowkey I wish Logan was on this team? One, I miss them terribly. Two, they've been in two of the three videos I've ever edited in a game. It feels wrong not to have them in here too. Oh well. I'm sure we'll meet up at merge. Whether we work together is up for debate, but I just miss their peppy upbeat vibe.
I hope Josh and Jakey stay alive, too. If you know my game, you know I like to keep my options as open as possible. And putting aside my own game, I'd like to see those two get far. I think both stand DECENT chances because of the tribe's splits. But we shall see!
KARTER
I just miss my friends. We worked so well together. Lovelace #1 forever.
I kinda hope they vote me out this round.
PATRICK
Well, this is frustrating. I tried pushing things along yesterday, strongly hinting at needing today to do anything. And nobody really helped much, causing today to mostly come and go. Lydia finally ended up taking the reins — bless her soul — and she picked the one song I voiced objection to. Beautiful. But, whatever, it's too late to be switching songs.
It's also too late to lock in any concept like I'd hoped, so it'll be your garden-variety lipsync. I'm probably canceling my plans tomorrow to get this done, which has me VERY unhappy, so if I'm sacrificing my day I may as well try and have fun with it. I have a few ideas to inject humour, at least, if not interest.
But... ugh. I'm just frustrated. If/when we lose, I don't know where I stand. I'd hope Lydia would force the tie and give me a chance. But I think I'd get two votes if we went today. I hope I don't go out because of this. I feel like I was doing my part to steer conversation and just kept getting met with radio silence.
Whatever. Sleep, quick turnaround, then I'm on this video grind. If we lose it sure as hell won't be because I didn't do my best under the circumstances.
LOGAN
me when people criticize how in sync my video was when my teammates sent stuff in an hour before the deadline: just be glad we have a video!!!
it was hard work making that happen. i can't believe i single-handedly won my team immunity, Kepler is now the Logan Team. i feel like i'll be the tragic boot right before the merge, but at least i'll have this win to my name.
LYDIA
youtube
PATRICK
First off — Logan and Kepler at large, ily. You're the best kind of best.
NOW THEN. A few things I want to cover off, so bear with me.
PAT, YOU WON THE MVP AWARD. WHY DID YOU NOT REACH OUT TO ONE OF YOUR ALLIES FROM MINKOWSKI? A few reasons. First, I saw this reward as one hell of an opportunity to expand my options even more going into a merge. It's a rare way to forge trust with someone who's never been to council with you. Second, I mentioned this in my last confessional... I just missed Logan. And third, I think both Josh and Jakey are secure enough in our respective alliances that, even if it does leak out to my OG team (which it would already have had to leak to at least Jakey and Renee,) they would know it was to build ourselves a foothold, not to throw them aside.
PAT, WHY DID YOU KEEP DREW OUT OF THE LOOP ON THE VOTE? An excellent question! Drew came to me this morning and said "I talked to owen about voting for lydia". He then went on to clarify that he'd messaged us both around the same time. But immediately, I went on full alert. Like... why are decisions being made without my input? And obviously, I'm not turning on Lydia... but Drew didn't know that. At the same time, after that message, it told me those two were a bit too close for my liking. So I knew I couldn't tell Drew I wanted to vote Owen. So I went along with it in private, but then did my own thing.
PAT, DO YOU THINK DREW WOULD HAVE FLIPPED ON A RE-VOTE, OR WERE YOU PREPARED TO GO TO ROCKS? I'd have gone to rocks in a heartbeat. But I also know beyond the shadow of a doubt that Drew would have flipped. That's why the vote went on Owen and not Drew.

A Captured Heart
Summary: Slug ends up getting captured by Flug for reasons that even he does not know. Who knows what this malicious, mad scientist wants from him…
Words: 1,719
Characters: Slug, Flug, Clemencia (briefly), and White Hat (briefly)
Warnings: Kidnapping TW (I guess) and general brouhaha. Too tired to edit mistakes, will do them later.
Being captured can seem like one of the most terrifying situations that you could ever find yourself in. Blindfolded, tied up, and in a place that you’ve never, possibly, been in before, while also hearing and smelling things that you never have. All the while you are at the mercy of your kidnapper, allowing them to do whatever they wish to your incapacitated body. ….However, if you’re Slug Kaiser, then this is just a normal Tuesday to get in a situation like this.
Slug was currently strapped down to something that was hard, flat, and chillingly cold, making him believe that he knew what it was. However, that thought ended when he heard the sound of liquid bubbling, mechanical creaking, and the smell of oil and chemicals in the air. So, he was about 90% sure he wasn’t lying on his soul, if you can even do that. He called out, “Yeah, uh, hi. Can you please cut the theatrics? We’re having a game night at the manor and I need to be there, so we don’t end up playing battleships with actual ships again. White and Clem are the true menaces. They are the reason why nothing is ever on Netflix anymore.”
The blindfold came off from his goggles, making him mutter a thank you, and he looked around to get a view of his surroundings. As everything became less blurry, he realized that he was within a very dark lab, concerning all the blueprints lining the walls, chemistry equipment, and containment tubes filled with various of experiments. Slug also could’ve sworn that “Baby One More Time” was playing in the background, but it was cut off before he could fully hear it. He then saw two circular, shining lights about a foot or two away from him that came along with a voice, saying, “Dr. Slug Kaiser, son of Lollipunk and Mob Boss.”
A small smile went across Slug’s face- hidden underneath his bag -as he greeted, “Dr. Flug Slys, son of…a bitch! You really had me worried there for a second. I thought I was actually in someplace I didn’t recognize and I was gonna have to find some way back home. Anyway, how are you doing? How’s your son?”
Flug ended up tripping over his words, the gleam disappearing from one of his eyes, and the answered, “Uh, 505 is, you know, fine or….” he cleared his throat and continued, “Anyway, none of that is your business. Do you know why I brought you here, Kaiser?”
There was the sound of footsteps getting closer to Slug, but he didn’t seem to mind as he shrugged, seemingly just picking at his nails even though they are underneath gloves, “I honestly have no idea. I was just going out to grab some snacks for our game night and the next thing I knew I was blindfolded, chloroformed, and then tossed into the back of a truck or put into a trunk. So, you know, not the worst Uber experience that I’ve had. There was one time I think the guy forgot I was in the back and he ended up driving his car into a lake, while also jumping out of it. …You know, the more I think about it, the more I wonder if that was even my driver.”
Flug leaned casually leaned onto the operating table that Slug was on and smirked, “You know, they say that those who make jokes in the face of danger are the most afraid.”
Slug contemplated the saying before pointing out, “Well…that’s not about as bad as a henway.”
“What’s a henway?”
“Oh, about 6 pounds. Why am I here?”
Flug then placed a hand right next to Slug’s head, leaning in ever so slightly into his face, and gave a kind smile underneath the bag. Despite raising quite the sassy eyebrow, Slug’s heart was hammering in his chest and he felt that breathing was becoming harder, but he tried to keep it as even as possible. He kept “picking at his fingers” before reaching with his fingers to the end of his glove, shimmying out a seemingly normal, folded scalpel out from underneath. “I think you know very well about what you did, Slug,” the mad scientist replied, while grabbing onto his chin and rubbing his thumb at the scarred, leathery skin on the left side of his face. Once Slug had the scalpel his grasp, unfolded, he pressed a button to make a thin laser come out to burn away the metal around his wrist and told Flug, “I really, really don’t. So, again, cut with theatrics and get to the point.”
Flug leaned down closer and revealed slowly, “You are here…because…”
Slug took in a deep breath, heart practically about to break free from his chest, and the silently rejoiced at feeling a bit of give from the restraints. He pulled his wrist forward, breaking free from it, and was about to slice at Flug’s face, but then the mad boy finished up, “You forgot our anniversary.”
Slug stopped sharply right at his bagged face, almost was about to make contact, and he blinked up at the mad scientist. So many thoughts had to be rewired in his mind to catch up with what was said to him. However, he was only intelligent enough at the moment to say, “…Huh?”
Flug the clapped his hands, causing the lights to come back on and temporarily blinded Slug, and he crossed his arms. He pouted, “We’ve been dating for a whole week now and not once did you even say Happy Anniversary. Not even getting me a last minute gift card.”
Slug blinked at him and then started, “So…you had me kidnapped, blindfolded, chloroformed, and thrown into the back of a car…because…I forgot a week long anniversary? On game night? If Clem and White turn the whole city into a game og Clue, it’s officially your fault.”
Flug huffed, “Still am not hearing a sorry. You better apologize before I tear off your cool jacket and rip open your impressively strong chest!”
“Are you threatening me while also complimenting me?”
“Of course I am, you magnificent asshole!” Flug exclaimed at him, while also pressing a button and activating a Hatbot Sentinel that marched over and slammed Slug’s hand down onto the table. The mad scientist then grabbed a pair of scissors that was on a smaller, metal table and start cutting at the bottom of his jacket. The other scientist flinched at his action and shouted, “Whoa! Whoa! Okay, hold on! I have an explanation! Not an excuse, an explanation!”
Flug halted his process and then looked up at him to show that he was listening. Slug took a few deep breaths before sighing, “Okay, see…I didn’t really think- gah!” He yelped at the Sentinel tightening its grip and he shouted, “Hey, you better stop- what was your name again? Br4ndon? I’ll come for you, Br4ndon! Anyway, I didn’t really think about our anniversary because….I didn’t think that there would be a week anniversary. Hell, I didn’t think there would be an hour anniversary and we still celebrated that…oddly.”
The mad scientist moved the scissors away as he asked, “What do you mean?”
Slug sighed and the robot let go of his arm, as he used the laser scalpel to free his other arm, “Well, first of all, we both are pretty much married to our jobs, so we pretty much only get to text each other. Yeah, we see each other on a mission or two, but we gotta keep up appearances, so those don’t count. That and…I’m not really as interesting as Clem or White. I don’t have powers or a robot army or hundreds of weapons…hell, I didn’t even create life like you did. I’m just…average.”
Flug looked at him sympathetically and pressed a button to release him from his restraints, making Slug stop the scalpel quickly. He told him as he placed his hands underneath Slug’s bag to cup his cheeks, “Listen to me, Slug Unglück Kaiser. No, you may not have all that, but you have created candies that also act as medicines and poisons at the same time. Hell, you even have been working on some that can even revive those on the brink of death.”
Slug added on, “Almost caused a zombie uprising.”
“And it was awesome.”
“Hell yeah.”
“Anyway, you also don’t have a robotic army, but you have a robot with such an advanced AI system that it doesn’t even need a remote to be controlled!” Flug exclaimed in full proudness, while Br4ndon went, “Hey!”
Slug huffed, “Br4ndon, you’ve fucked with my trust! I don’t care about you at the moment.”
The large robot sighed defeatedly, but completely understood. Flug then went on, “Not only that, but you and that walking sugarcane are completely feared in the villain world, as I and some other woman who shall not be named are in the hero world. Slug, you may not be amazing in your eyes, but, god dammit, I will show you as much as I can about how much I love you! Because I love you so much!”
Slug looked at him in shock and gave a small chuckle, “R-Really?”
Flug smiled as he shutdown the Hatbot, lifted up both their bag, and leaned in to kiss Slug, who waited with bated breath and wide eyes. He leaned as well, grabbing onto Flug’s shirt with a tight grip. The two’s lips almost connected, but they were abruptly cut off by Lil Jack bursting into the room and quickly slithering past them. Clemencia was on top of the snake, shouting, “I AM THE BRINGER OF DEATH!”
White Hat was at the end of the snake, sitting on top of a standing ladder and was reading a newspaper. He told the two scientist as they passed, “We’re playing Snakes and Ladders.”
Lil Jack then crashed through another wall as Clem continued to laugh maniacally and White went on being blind to everything. Flug and Slug blinked at the madness. Flug started, “Um, so, uh…that was my-”
He cut himself off by squeaking as Slug smacked him upside the head, saying, “Yeah, I know. That was 100% your fault!”

Rites of Passage
Tumblr media
Here’s some music for you to listen to as you read: https://youtu.be/o0bND3_QK1
Tumblr media
Drew: im only like 80% that’s even a name
Linus: I never spoke to you, I never heard anything about you, who are you!?
Ned: I never got to meet you, but I hope things are going well!
Sarah: Being first boot must have sucked! Sorry we couldnt have met :(
Tumblr media
Drew: robbedt
Linus: rip, I actually really liked Karen and it was cool to see there was actually someone else from Winnipeg who plays these games (throwback to day 1 when I got like 5 messages asking if I knew her irl).
Ned: Karen! It’s sad that we didn’t get to play together to make up for Wonderland, but it’s always good to see you around.
Sarah: KAREEEN! Second boot? Truly not deserved and I hope we get to play again soon ...ya know when you're not such an early boot ;)
Tumblr media
Drew: I can’t believe you flew me to Massachusetts, got me drunk, like seriously drunk, in a basement while Are You The One was playing (¼)
Linus: Stevie's boot was pretty sad because I really did love everyone on starting stolkholme. At the time I was already super tight with Carlos though, so this was the only move that made sense, especially since Stevie flubbed the challenge :( .
Ned: This really sucked- we hated to do this, but you accidentally started the challenge without anyone being ready and it kind of threw everyone for a loop. Playing with you in Werewolf was fun, so I wish we could have been together longer!
Sarah: Hey Stevie! How is your drunk ass?! You made me hate 99 bottles and sorry you did that in the challenge otherwise you wouldnt have gone home djkfhsjdkfl
Tumblr media
Drew: on ridiculous rum punches where you don’t understand how much you’re drinking until it’s too late, and chased with tequila straight from the bottle (hashtag tequila toddler), and (2/4)
Linus: lol at idol was funny af. Still, since we had known each other in Myanmar it was disappointing.
Ned: I didn’t get to play with you, but you have a cool name.
Sarah: STEFFEN! KING. IDOLED OUT! I CANNOT BELIEVE. I wanted to play with you so bad! Lets hope we can someday <3
Tumblr media
Drew: FRIEND!!! They did you so dirty, what the fuck, I could not believe it. I mean granted I tried to do you dirty the round before too but I failed so technically I’m better than these assholes.
Linus: Noooooo. Fucking Carlos probably deserved to be here more than anyone. He was a really cool guy and during his time in the game he was easily the person I talked to the most. He was also really hard working in comps trying for hours to get the best score possible. Robbed!
Ned: This was the first difficult thing I had to do in this game. I fought so hard to keep you in- you don’t even know- but in the end, it wasn’t possible without risking my own game. I’m sorry you had to go out this way. I know all you wanted to do is make jury. :(
Sarah: Hey Carlos! Your vote off was one of the hardest decisions I had to do in this game. Ned and I wanted to bring you so far along with us, but you were just someone who had to go to ensure that I stayed and made it far. Youre such a great and genuine guy, and I truly did miss that around the game.
Tumblr media
Drew: convinced me to sign up for a season that I had no business being in, with a title I never wanted to defend, just so we could play a game together because it had been so long in most cases, (¾)
Linus: I sadly never really got to meet Nick, sorry :(
Ned: Continuing our plan to emotionally destroy Sam as much as possible, you ended up being the next casualty. I’m sorry you had to go, but my own game was in jeopardy. We offered to work with you, but you ratted us out, and I guess all I have to say now is what goes around comes around.
Sarah: Hey Nick! I do feel responsible for your vote off, and I'm hella sorry about that. Your vote off was sorta like Carlos's in a way where you needed to go otherwise my butt or Neds would be in the same placement as yours. I hope you're doing good man!
Tumblr media
Drew: and then subsequently left premerge and left me here to fend for myself with these freaks. What kind of fake friends, honestly. You are all the worst. I miss you guys, come back soon!!! (4/4)
Linus: Sam was always cool so I was super happy when Drew pulled her in to work together for the Jay vote. I'd only I didn't play the idol on myself :(
Ned: This succcccked. I waited all pre-merge just to be able to work with you, but of course a stupid twist prevented that from happening. I voted to save you in the normal vote and revote, but it turns out you can’t change your revote, so my campaigning was useless. At least we got to work together in Sentinel Islands :)
Sarah: SAAAAAM <3 Queen. If you were not drunk the whole day during tribal council and you asked me for my idol I totally would have given it to you! Your vote off was completely shocking to me and you know I love u :)
Tumblr media
“I'd still be here if it wasn't for the "Vote for the other tribe" twist (:”
Drew: “OG Karls, you’re making a huge mistake voting me out. Big mistake” You rite
Linus: I didn't talk to Jay much in this game, but I've since met him and have nothing but respect for him. I was completely inactive in the game I met him in, but like, he was cool enough to be the one person I talked to in it :P
Ned: Not gonna lie, this was the best possible outcome for my game going forward. It sucks to go out like this, but I had a great time playing with you- even if it was terrifying for me at times! You’re really a great player and I’ve enjoyed every game I’ve been in with you.
Sarah: Your vote off was probably one of the saddest. I knew it was happening but I also knew you wanted to win so bad. I really do think you would have made it further if you actually made it to merge. I feel like people underestimated you and people saw jordan pines as the whole operation between the alliance but hey I always thought you were pretty amazing by letting him do all the work while you just sat back.
Tumblr media
“I sadly didn’t win this game, but I am happy to say that I made some new friends during this journey. Besides that crown, isn’t that why we’re all here anyways? Thanks Christine and Connor <3″
Drew:  My child, for a minute I thought you were gonna win with that cross-tribal idol move but it got snatched. First victim of the snow idol. Gorlleys for life
Linus: This was easily the hardest vote for me in the entire game. I was aligned with Duncan during the swap and easily the most villainous action I did was voting him out. Still, it was a position I was forced into since I didn't trust really any of his allies. Sorry Dunc :(
Ned: I loved playing with you! You’re a great guy and I really enjoyed the conversations we had together. It sucks that everything had to end on such a weird note, but I did what I had to to save myself. I hope you’re doing well, and I’d love to keep talking to you after the game ends!
Sarah: Hey Duncan! The cuties did not deserve this at all! I don't know what happened to make you change your mind about me all of sudden but one minute I'm hearing you wanted to work with me, and the next you wanted me out. Yikes. You were one hell of a player and you were super fun to talk to during the game so maybe after this we can still keep talking :)
Tumblr media
“It's surprising I'm putting effort into writing this considering half of yall didn't even put effort into playing the game. Y'all voted out the good people..... good job. Linusnake please go away”
Drew: Every time I start a new game and you’re there, I have this moment of panic worrying if I’m going to continue to be the villain in your history books when that was never the goal. I see once again, I did not disappoint.
Linus: Easily the least lucky person in this game. Nic impressed me since he was such a fighter who seemed to get the game stacked against him at every single step of the way, yet he always kept going.
Ned: This was a tragedy. You’re such a nice guy and you kept being friendly up to the last minute. Honestly, I only voted for you for two reasons: 1. Linus was my ally, and 2. You just won Wonderland! That means I personally know how strong of a player you are, and that was pretty dangerous for my game. Great job making it to this point with a recent win under your belt!
Sarah: Nic, your vote off was scary AS HECK. It basically came down to chance. You and I barely talked, which Im super sorry for. Communication is a two way street and I totally should have tried harder. I feel like the reason I didn't was because you and Jordan were tight and I didn't want anything going back to him and making him not trust me. I hope you understand but lets talk after the season because you seem like a stand up guy honestly.
Tumblr media
“Overall I found the lack of respect for the other players and the hosts alike no matter how inadvertant they were to be utterly irreprehensible in this game and I was kind of disgusted by it. I feel like I played really well and I genuinely couldnt have asked for a better alliance than karlskognicshley. I'm glad I got to work w them in this and I really don't give a fuck who wins byyyeee”
Drew: Jesus kid, I love Tyson Apostol too, but damn
Linus: Lol u suck
Ned: Let’s be real for a second- your last tribal was one of the most exciting things to ever happen in an ORG. I’m so sorry you went out with just one vote, but voting for anyone else just would have been too dangerous. It was great working with you while we were both working against each other- it’s such a cool relationship that you don’t get to have with many people. I’m honestly gonna miss talking to you in French!
Sarah: HEY ZAK. My sole vote was the reason you're sitting in jury, and yes...you could be bitter because linus is still here but I just find it utterly hilarious how YOU CANCELLED OUT HIS SELF VOTE. That tribal council made me laugh so much and its always going to remind me of you. Keep on snapping pics of your cat btw because I smile every time OH MAN <3
Tumblr media
Drew: To quote legend, queen, my wife, and winner of Survivor Malibu, “I wish to one day punch Jordan Pines in the face.”
Linus: I absolutely loved playing with and having a friendly rivalry with Jordan. He was chaotic, always trying to make a move and just super fun to have on the tribe. Of course, that also made him the biggest threat in the game sadly.
Ned: You were basically the Aubry to my Debbie- you were gunning for me, and if I didn’t take you out first, it would be the end of my game. Maybe in an alternate universe we could be the dynamicest duo, but it just seems destined for us to be rivals. It’s been a pleasure playing with THE Jordan Pines.
Sarah: Pines, your vote off was the worst. I had to make a decision. I did say I was going to vote with you the round of your vote off. I really did mean it. No matter how much you don't believe me. But I ended up choosing loyalty over someone who is better known as a ...shall I say...villain? And I cute one at that. I had so much fun playing sweden and india with you and yes, you come across as someone who is villainous but I see your heart is in everything you do. I respect your game ....a lot. We truly did become friends because of this game and I'm forever grateful.
Tumblr media
Drew: King of snowballs!! I’m highkey as shook as you are that that was real
Linus: Josh posting the apps for this game on facebook is what got me to sign up, and ultimately I ended up forming the biggest counter alliance to him. Kind of ironic. He's a great guy and hopefully one day we wont be against each other in a game since we always seem to be on opposite sides.
Ned: I’m sorry for leaving you out of so many things early on, and that’s probably why you ended up working against the Stockholm 4 during the merge. You’re really funny, and I truly enjoy chatting with you! I just checked Skype and it’s telling me to resend my contact request, so I hope you didn’t block me. :o
Sarah: Cutest. Person. Of. This. Cast. Your vote off was expected. We didnt talk much but I can tell your a stand up guy :~) talk to you..either in jury or ftc!
Tumblr media
Drew: Honestly still a little upset you didn’t have an idol to pull out at the end like BITCHES, it would have made it more interesting and less depressing
Linus: Ash! Another person I was super happy was in this game. In Myanmar we worked both together and against each other at times. Last time I was kind of the shady one, so this time it was kind of cool to see that role reversed of me wanting to be super loyal to the Drew, Ned, Sarah and Ashley group and her being the one to try and change things up and make a move. It sadly just missed the mark with Jordans vote randomizing on Nic, but she was willing to play and I have to respect that. GG!
Ned: Nooooo Ashley! You’re such a good person and voting you out was heartbreaking. You honestly had a very compelling case, and in any other situation, I may have flipped. You’re so kind and the last conversation I had with you was one of my favorites ever just because of how genuine you are! If this were real Survivor, you would win Fan Favorite and people would threaten Jeff Probst because you got voted out. Hopefully we can still talk after this ends!
Sarah: ASHLEY! OK when you left it was truly sad because you self voted. Which broke my heart. Even when you flipped on the alliance we had, you still ended up making f5 which is exactly what we wanted. You're such an amazing person and Im glad we got to connect, here and in india <3
