The fact that my lukercy fic has 1,125 kudos, almost 12k hits, and so many nice comments and bookmarks is really fucking me up today.

I’m imagining myself on a room with 1k people who have ENJOYED my work, and at least a handful of them coming up to me and TELLING me they liked it.

I’m so overwhelmed??? I mean… it was getting so many kudos and stuff when I finished it but now?? My friend is epileptic and we always go to Halloween Horror Nights. He has to skip the first few days until he gets the low down on which houses are considered "Drew approved". This year they had a Stranger Things house which had a huge strobe section he desperately wanted to do. So when we knew it was coming up he grabbed my shoulder and closed his eyes and I led him through the room.

Not only are flashing lights not good but stress is a trigger for him too. I'm always hyper vigilant and generally worried about him.

I also apologize if I've ever reblogged something with flashing or flickering. Do you have any specific tags blacklisted that one should use to keep your Tumblr experience joyful?

I’m feeling down about it too especially because last night the group chat I’m in on insta was like oh my god have you seen ____ for a show that I cannot watch at all because of the amount of flashing I noticed from the trailer alone (It was Loki s2) It’s so frustrating all of the time knowing I have to check a show or movie to see if there’s flashing 😔

Well, obviously I will roleplay with other Transformers characters, (Not limited to just Prime). I’ll roleplay with just about almost all fandoms. I am a bit more selective over fandoms I'm not too familiar with but that doesn't always mean my doors aren't closed to them neither. To put it simple: If a muse interests me, I'm more than likely on board. What is always the case however is that I will not, and I do mean WILL NOT roleplay with muses base off Youtube Let’s Players or any real life people WHAT SO EVER!! Sorry, I’m sure a good share of you are fantastic people, but it’s something I am simply against mortality. I’m open to roleplaying with OCs both fandom base and/or fandomless, but again, I’m still selective. I always check out the mun’s page before following and if I don’t see a bio for your OC, I will simply not follow. I can't interact with a character I know nothing about. I tend to not care about things where the protagonists are teenagers and in high school (asoiaf is the exception and the teenagers/children aren’t all of it and they’re not in high school) in general and HP is basically that except with magic

I am absolutely not into **magic** stuff when we’re discussing fantasy - I like lotr and asoiaf and discworld (which is satire/trope subversion anyway) and I have other exceptions but stuff like WIZARDS AND WITCHES AND STUFF is one of the things that I can care less as far as fiction is concerned

I find it really too simplistic in plot conception and execution, like I read maybe a bit of it and I couldn’t get into the style whatsoever because I thought it was nothing special

I watched like movie four and a part of two and I fell asleep during both for how little I could care

Hello! I'm running a newish Naruto blog that isn't really getting a lot of traction, I was just wondering if you could give tips or suggestions for a beginner Naruto writer? Thank you! Also, I love your blog a lot.

thank you! Soooo sorry this took so long to answer. I hope this can still help you even if it’s been a while

I don’t know if I have tips for Naruto specifically, but in general, I think it’s worth watching all the filler you can lol. I didn’t, and it kind of sucks because you miss important little details about characters, and you also miss even meeting characters that some people eventually request. So if you haven’t already, catch up on filler!

And I don’t mean to be snarky by saying this but I also think it’s worth it to actually finish the show lol? I have a friend who’s running a blog and she hasn’t seen all of Naruto (hope you don’t mind me calling you out like this, I love you) and that just makes it really difficult to run a Naruto blog. Lots of major characters are introduced later on in Naruto, so if you haven’t watched up to the end, it’s worth it. And vice versa, if you’ve only seen Shippuden and not the first series, watch it! I only say this because I’ve seen it happen and I know how difficult it can be to deal with

Those are probably some obvious tips… hmmm I’m honestly reaching for any Naruto specific tips. 

I’m pretty confident in the fact that my blog kind of caters to side characters more than main characters, so it’s always good to be well-versed in side characters and main characters, that’s something to keep in mind. I think that attracts a lot of people 

Don’t be afraid to write super nsfw? Just be dirty. I guarantee you 90% of the people who follow imagines blogs want to see that dirty shit. If they don’t, then they can always blacklist your nsfw tag. If you’re not afraid to get dirty, then people will love that

In a fandom like Naruto where there are widely popular characters, it’s important to be diverse. Sometimes my blog is just filled with the founders trio and Kakashi because that’s all people usually request from me. So if you can, try to space out requests for the same character and put a variety on your blog. I know it’s difficult if that’s all that people are requesting, but you can always write some imagines of your own for a different character and just post them, ya feel? Basically, a variety is important 

Maybe you can do special little events to attract people? Like match ups or one of those A-Z headcanon games. Headcanon games are super fun, definitely do them if you get the time

While you’re starting out and if you have enough requests to do so, try to update your blog every day. I know it’s super difficult, but I find that if you’re a new blog and you post rapid fire imagines for three days and then just disappear, you’re kind of leaving your new followers in the dark. There’s nothing to really keep their interest fed. Rather than putting out lots of imagines a day, space it out so you have enough to update every day continuously for a week or two. Even if it’s only two imagines every day. I think it’s really important for new blogs to do this. Even if you can’t keep that up in the future, at least you can establish a good foundation and interaction with your followers in the beginning, if that makes sense? This doesn’t make sense does it lol. You just want to be as active as possible in the beginning without eating up all of your imagines in the first few days, if that makes sense. Be active, don’t update like crazy one day and forget about the blog the next—but don’t overdo it either. Take your time!

Of course, being an inviting admin is always nice. You don’t have to force people to come talk to you, but always advertise an open message box so people come talk to you if they want

I don’t know if there’s any more tips I have, I’m just surprised I got this much out tbh. Hopefully this helps? You’re always welcome to ask for a shoutout! It just sometimes takes me a few days to get them out, especially when I have so many

i’ll be honest I haven’t been really motivated to make inuy//asha stuff lately (except for stuff i make for events) for various reason... 

 i feel like the fandom is kind of becoming dormant again? almost all my favorite blogs post less frequently or they completely left the fandom... 

going in the inuy//asha tag lately makes me almost angry lmao. all i see is reposts, unsourced fanarts, random people answering asks or “get to know me” kind of posts.. so there’s rarely any new content and i’m struggling to fill up my queue :/ 

most of the inu//kag content that i see nowadays isn’t really.... my thing, lol. Most people oversexualize them or they just make them way too... cheesy? idk how to explain it but it kind of gets on my nerves and like i said, my favorite content creators are less active so i don’t see the kind of inu//kag stuff that i really like :c

anyway. i’ve been talking to some of my friends about the fact that i wanted to become a multifandom blog for MONTHS now (at first it was bc i wanted to get away from drama, but now that i blocked half of the fandom i’m fine lol) but i think its finally time :’)
