Hmm I’ve never seen Lilo and Stitch, but literally my first thought was Beauty and the Beast, and ironically not with Techno as the Beast but Dream because he’s been locked up and in isolation all the time, often brooding, moody and kinda hopeless and depressed. Dream is very protective over Techno, like the Beast scaring off the wolves and stuff. Oh and of course most obviously everyone wants to kill him. Bell is locked up with the Beast but ends up making the best of it like Techno does in prison, trying to be positive in a bad situation. She sides with the Beast at the cost of her father who is imprisoned, kinda like Ranboo. Actually, Bell coming to the mansion to free her father is kinda like Techno coming to break out Ranboo…

Anyways, not sure why that was my immediate thought since there are so many movies to consider, especially because ya know it’s not like I ship them or anything that’s not really my thing, but there are definitely some interesting parallels…

Out of any disney movie, which one do you think would work the best for a rivals duo au?

i've actually said this before so many times but it's just so fitting.

you have techno who is a little odd and 'othered' by a lot of the people around him but is ultimately a kind person. you have dream who is created for destruction (cast into that role whether he wanted or not) but longs for more.

they have wacky adventures together! they learn about friendship and what truly makes a family and a 'peaceful' life, even if it's not what you think it might look like.

i always liked this idea because techno is good at.... i don't want to say 'handling' but yeah, handling dream. think about some of the stuff from the prison podcast like 'not that flow' or 'yeah a little' and then imagine the lei scene from lilo & stitch. you see the vision, right?

plus, while not every other character has a good match, there's a lot of room to include other characters! i think it'd just be a fun au.
