Is This Love?
Luffy x Male Reader. Finale. 2841 words. Part one
Tumblr media
Desc: Resolution (and partay).
Tumblr media
As Chopper monitors Luffy’s condition you sit there, now having time to process what happened. He said he was happy, but is what he said from relief you aren’t going to leave him alone, or from happiness that you returned his feelings? Evidence is starting to pile up that Luffy may have the same feelings for you as you do for him, but there’s still the nagging fear in you that says you’re misunderstanding things and this is just Luffy’s natural affection. As you’re wracking your mind, a voice.
“Hey.” Chopper speaks and you look at him. “This is about love, right?”
“Uh—yeah. Sorry about all this.” You feel bad, you’ve been overworking the small doctor with your issues; yet he shakes his head.
“I don’t mind, this looks complicated. I’m glad I can help even a little.” He’s so nice! Though you’re starting to feel kind of overworked yourself. “But can I say something?”
“Oh, go ahead.” You say with a nod and Chopper nods back, nervously clasping his hooves together.
“Okay, so I don’t know about love stuff but I feel like you guys are making this more complicated than it needs to be.” He jolts slightly. “Ah, n-not that it isn’t complicated, of course! I just mean there’s too much um..” He looks away. “too much hesitation.”
“Hesitation..” You mumble and he continues.
“Yeah. When I joined the crew I kept thinking of every bad thing that could happen, every way that everyone could hate me, could hurt me; but Luffy didn’t care about any of that. He never has.” He puts his hoof on his chest, looking directly at you “I took a risk joining this crew and it was the best risk I’ve taken, even if so many others I've made have had bad consequences. Sometimes I panic or even feel like joining this crew was too dangerous for me, that I can’t do anything, but I keep going and you guys motivate me to get better and stronger.”
“Chopper…” You’re touched, he’s really trying to help you.
“I’m not trying to say that it’s a guarantee that you guys are going to work out, a lot of things don’t, but just stopping and letting every bad scenario and pain you’ve gone through affect what you do for the future is just going to make things worse.” He’s right. Maybe.. maybe you two were making things more complicated than it had to be. Maybe you were making things more complicated than it had to be. So worried about all the harm you could bring to Luffy that it overwhelmed him. Turned him to this. You rub your face and eyes, Zoro was right. He was right, Sanji was right, and Chopper is right. You’re overthinking things, assuming things, overcomplicating everything. Maybe Luffy had been confused himself, but you trying to “protect” him made things worse. The sound of the captain stirring awake catches your attention and Chopper moves to leave the room. “I’ll let you two talk.” Once the door shuts Luffy sits up.
“(Y/n)?” He calls quietly for you, looking around. When he spots you he fully wakes up. “You’re still here.”
“I am. I couldn’t just leave you here.” There’s a bit of silence before you speak again. “I was being serious, I’m definitely still in love with you and I’m sorry I pretended I wasn’t. I thought I was protecting you from me, from my emotions. I thought I would just make you miserable and ruin everything by forcing my love on you. Like—Like you’re fragile.” He tilts his head to the side slightly.
“But I’m not.”
“I know.. I was being stupid. I just didn’t want to risk it the moment I saw any sort of change. You were confused, not being ruined. I should’ve helped you, not left you to try and figure things out yourself. I’m sorry.” You hurt him, yet he replies with a nod and a smile.
“I forgive you!” Of course he does. You start to feel like you’re taking advantage of him again, but remind yourself that Luffy is not fragile; nor is he unable to make his own decisions. You take a deep breath.
“I messed up, but I—I do want to try it.” You clear your throat. “Dating, I mean.” Luffy perks up and suddenly jumps up, stretching his arms to propel and wrap around you.
“You should’ve said that from the start!” You hesitate while he grins at you.
“Are you sure? You don’t have to decide right n-” Smooocchhh. He gives you a big kiss on the lips.
“A romantic way to stop rambling is a small kiss on the lips, if the time feels right of course! Yohoho!”
Brook’s advice. Not quite a small kiss, but the thought is there. When he pulls back there's a slight flush on his cheeks “Shi shi shi” he giggles while you stand there in shock. He certainly stopped your rambling. “I can make all sorts of decisions.” His smile turns softer. “So.. so next time, don’t go.” His smile twitches before he buries his face in your shoulder. “Don’t make me have to think all by myself.” His words are quiet, vulnerable. Your own facial expression softens and you hold him close to you, his legs tightening around your waist as if to stop you from ever trying to leave or distance yourself.
“I’m sorry, I won’t. I’ll stay with you.” You give a kiss to the side of his head. There’s a small sniffle and you pet the back of his head. “Can I see you?” Luffy shakes his head, your shoulder getting wet. There’s silence before you speak again. “Thank you for trying so hard for me. I love you.” There’s a small mumble. “What’s that?”
“iluvyoutoo” He says quickly then pulls away and lands on the ground, hiding his face with his hat and running.
THUD
He smacked into the wall, starting to fumble around with his hands to find the door. You walk over and pull his hat from his face to see a flushed red, teary eyed Luffy. ‘So cute!’ You manage to keep that thought in your head but he uses your distracted state to snatch his straw hat back and hide his face again.
THUD
The same thing happened, though with the door this time. “Nnn..” It doesn’t hurt, not physically anyway. He must be too mixed up to properly use his haki. It’s hurting your heart seeing him like this, even if it's a little cute. You walk over and turn Luffy to face you before picking him up.
“It’s okay, you don’t have to deal with this alone. I’m not gonna make fun of you either.” He takes a deep breath then lifts his hat from his face back onto his head. He’s still flushed but less than before, his eyes a little wet.
“I wasn’t crying.” He states despite his clearly teary and embarrassed state. “I’m not embarrassed either.”
“So you’re just naturally teary and cu- uhh, nice looking? Handsome, even?” You manage to stop yourself from calling him cute, it’ll upset him. Luffy nods, wiggling a bit to show he wants to get down. You put him down and he turns to the door, calmly this time.
THUD
“Are you guys done?” Chopper opened the door and smacked Luffy in the face with it again. “SORRY!” He quickly shuts it again and Luffy stands there awkwardly. You two are off to a bit of a bad start with this but it's okay.
_________________
The both of you migrated to the men’s quarters after Chopper made sure Luffy was okay physically. Which he was, even if his pride was damaged.
‘Nervous.’ He feels like it was easier when he just did things without thinking. Now that you two confirmed feelings for eachother he keeps thinking thoughts, even forming the occasional word in his head. You’re gonna have to take initiative.
“Luffy look here.” When he does, you lean in and give your captain a peck on the lips. He freezes. “You can think if you want to but if it’s making you too nervous just do what feels right, I won’t get angry because I love you.” You pause. “This pertains to relationship things by the way, not you stealing from my plate.” This is hard. You’re anxious yourself but you have to try and guide your new-to-love boyfriend too. Not that you blame him, just because he needs help doesn’t mean you think he’s a burden. It’s just hard. You remind yourself that he’s done way worse things that you and the crew have had to deal with. Luffy looks at his lap then back at you, right, he’ll follow his instincts. He sits up on his knees and kisses you, then again, and again. All over your lips with his eyes closed until he’s kissing your entire face. Eventually he pulls away with a small blush on his cheeks. “How was that?” Your heart is racing but you put that on the backburner to ask him.
“Good but I want to eat your mouth.”
“Okay let’s take things a little slower.” You answer quickly. However.. “You can eat my mouth later.” you aren’t exactly against it.
“How much later?” Luffy’s eyes twinkle and he sits up on his knees again.
“Uh.. few days?” That should be enough to prepare your heart.
“One day.” Your boyfriend isn’t a patient guy.
“...three days.” You attempt to compromise.
“One day.” It isn’t working.
“2 days?”
“Tomorrow.” That’s the same thing. You give up.
“Okay, tomorrow.” It’s not like you wouldn’t want to suck face, you just wanted some prep time. Considering Luffy, though, it most likely won’t be actual making out; just whatever he thinks eating your mouth is. ‘Hopefully no actual biting.’ Luffy sits back down, swinging his legs a little.
“What do we do?”
“What do you mean?”
“We’re dating now, right? So what do we do?” He kinda feels like he’s doing something wrong. Relationships are supposed to be lovey dovey so how does he do that? “Do I just keep kissing you all the time?” Something absolutely terrible comes to mind. “Do I have to share my food!?”
“No, you don’t have to,” ‘That’s really one of his worst fears isn’t it?’ “Sanji’s really good at making us enough.” He still looks nervous. “I mean it. If the both of us are really hungry and you find food you don’t have to share it. You’d probably be more hungry than me anyway, you weaken the moment you’re low on food.” That makes him frown.
“Don’t say that, even if I’m hungry I’ll still give you food. You’re my friend… boy. Boyfriend.” He’ll have to get used to saying boyfriend, saying it feels a little off.
“Hey.” You grab his attention. “You don’t have to force it. I love you for you, you don’t have to change for me. You don’t have to be lovey dovey or kiss me all the time or share everything with me. You don’t have to be any different than you are right now.” You clear your throat, being this forward is a bit embarrassing. “Relationships are about adding to a friendship, not completely changing it. Since we’re boyfriends that just means we’re friends that are dating, that’s all.”
“Friends that are dating..” That helps clear his worries. If it’s just friends that are dating that means you’re still his friend. He didn’t lose anything and he doesn’t have to change anything. A big smile forms on his face. “Friends that are dating! I like that.” He looks satisfied. “You’re my friend and boyfriend.”
“Yup and I love you as a friend and my boyfriend.” His cheeks tint a little.
“Yeah!” He nods, then clears his throat awkwardly. “I’m not nervous.”
“I didn’t say you were.” You pat his back. Luffy sucks his lips awkwardly. He usually has no trouble asking for help if he doesn’t know how to do something but he feels a strong urge to be cool around you. Something pops into his mind. Accentuate. Luffy grabs your shoulders and suddenly picks you up, then runs out of the room. “Luffy!? Where are we going.”
“Axe-in. Axe shoes.” He forgot the word. You eventually make it inside of the library and he puts you down, then starts to run around for something. He looks really panicked but determined. Eventually he pulls out an encyclopedia of bugs and a sketchbook, jumping next to you and flipping open the book of bugs then the sketchbook. He reaches a page of a beetle and then in his sketchbook a drawing of said beetle. It’s actually pretty good. Once that's done he stands there determined but nervous like an apprentice chef waiting for a senior to judge their meal. You pick up the drawing.
“This is good. I could tell that it was the same beetle immediately.” He brightens and then flips the pages again to another set of matching beetles. “Wow, you’re really determined about these.” He nods.
“They’re huge but they don’t eat meat at all, and are nocturnal!” He points to the horns. “These are big! The guys are bigger than the girls too.” He begins to list off facts about Atlas Beetles for the next 5 minutes, then turns to different pages to different beetles to give facts about that one. 30 minutes pass until he takes a break. He stopped breathing properly to maximize efficiency in telling you beetle facts. He takes a huge breath, his stomach huge, and lets it out with a “phew” Once his breath is caught he crosses his arms proudly. “How was that?”
“Amazing, you’re really good at retaining information about things that you love.” He smiles and puts his forehead to yours.
“Yup! It’s why I remember so many things about you!”
“Thanks.” All of this must be his way of showing his love.

Zoro stares at you. “Do you have to tell me of all people? Couldn’t you go to Nami.” He says as you rest after sparring.
“I feel like she would ask way too many questions all at once.”
“Obviously but I don’t know how to help you. At least she would have something to say.” He’s a little awkward about this, what is he supposed to tell you? Congrats on the relationship? That’s corny as hell.
“You don’t have to. You just have to listen.” When you say that he hums, giving a small smile. “I can do that much.” He looks away. “And uh, I’m glad you finally stopped overthinking.” Emotional praise is hard for him.

“Why would I want to know this?” Sanji asks, leaning back against the dining table chair.
“Don’t be like that, I thought you would be relieved to know.” He doesn’t look convinced. “This is a way of thanking you, since you gave me some help telling me about Luffy.”
“All I did was say it.” He smiles. “It does feel nice to be thanked, though. Even if you’re not a pretty lady. Good job.” His expression suddenly darkens. “I would’ve kicked you into the ocean if I told you all that just for you to still be stupid.”

Luffy bursts into the bath where Brook is bathing. “Brook!”
“Luffy!?” He instinctively covers his chest area.
“It worked!” He runs over and stands on the edge of the bath. Brook processes his statement.
“About you and (Y/n)?” The captain nods and the skeleton gasps. “That’s wonderful! Congratulations!” He wipes his eye socket like there’s a tear then gets determined. He stands from the bath. “This is no time to be bathing, we’ll sing!” Luffy nods again and the musician looks down before squealing. “Kyaa!” His towel fell off. “Oh, there’s nothing to show.” Nevermind.

You and Luffy go around the ship collecting the crewmates and telling them over the course of a day. Brook even got a huge bout of inspiration and wrote a song very quickly, not even rushed he simply wrote it that fast. Once night comes the crew parties, sharing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as music flows into the cool night air. Luffy and you stand in the middle dancing. Your boyfriend suddenly turns to you with a big smile and gets close to your face, hands gripped onto you.
“Luffy?” You’re nervous, he’s really gonna kiss you in front of everyone? I mean you guys already announced it so it’s not crazy but still it-
BITE
“GAH!” He bit your mouth, grabbing onto the back of your head to sloppily lick and eat your lips. When he pulls away your lips are a little swollen. You’d like to be mad but he looks really happy, even a little sheepish like you two really made out in front of everyone.
“Super!” Franky poses, Zoro looking away to avoid second hand embarrassment. You two can work on how to actually kiss later, you have time.
“Shi shi shi!”

I finally did it guys 🥺 are you proud of me 🥺 I guess i should be more.worried if there are any fans of this series left from the start since I took so long ;;. I learned my lesson and any serieses I post from now on are either gonna be already finished and ill just be able to post the chapters at a pace or i at least have a majority of it done. I do have other serieses after all, ideas, theyre just.. in the works. Anyway this is done now. I hope the ending was satisfactory. From the poll i did on what people thought i was gonna post i have a sneaking suspicion people wanted me to post more shanks getting railed again, but that will be another time. I forgot again had to edit. @yuurivalr @geraldwang

RULEBREAKER— NSFW
BULLY!SEVIKA X WRITER!READER
Tumblr media
warnings— sevika has a dick, sex in a bathroom, blow job, fingering, virgin!reader, cum swallowing, implication of getting caught and round two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sevika had sworn to herself with some sort of an unspoken oath to be the biggest menace your school's ever seen and she fulfils her role quite well. She was the biggest bully ever. Everyone in the school feared her so much it was almost iconic in a way. Sevika walked in the hallways of the campus like she owned it, a lazy smirk displayed on those dark lips of hers that you wished so hard would kiss yours.
But she didn't even know you existed, did she? Well, she liked picking on you since you both did maths classes together.
"Watch it, loser," Sevika drawled at a guy she nudged hard by her shoulder on her way inside the empty classroom. Her hands were in her pockets, her posture relaxed.
You stayed seated where you were, ignoring her and trying to focus on writing the fanfic you were working on, brows furrowed together in concentration. You were so deeply immersed in the rather confusing smut scene your virgin mind came up with, you didn't notice Sevika standing right beside you as she read a couple lines.
"What do we got here?" She snatched it up.
"Hey!" Your cheeks flushed.
Your eyes widened. There goes all your reputation and any chance to kiss her... That was the most childish sex scene a girl your age could've written, and now Sevika was reading it.
You wanted the ground to swallow you whole.
"You write like a virgin." Sevika commented, flipping through the pages.
"That's because I am a virgin." You replied, crossing your arms.
Sevika raised an eyebrow. "Is that so?" She then smirked. "I mean, you're not entirely bad looking." Sevika glanced at your little smut scene before she tossed the diary to the floor, "Maybe you should get some dick before you write these."
Your cheeks reddened further if physically possible and you scrambled to get the diary. You closed it, and looked after Sevika— you could never show your face to her ever again.
This was it.
A few days passed since the incident and you'd been back to writing your little smutty fics but you kept your head down and wrote the nastiest kinks you could come up with. It was to drown out whatever Sevika told you earlier.
You avoided her at all costs now and kept yourself occupied with writing filthy porn. It was a quiet afternoon and you were putting on chapstick in the restroom when suddenly you heard heavy footsteps and Sevika appeared.
Without any warning, she pinned you to the wall with one arm at the side of your head and the other hand held your chin, tilting it up so you'd meet her icy cold gaze, "You've been avoiding me, virgin girl."
You swallowed, all the words in your brain in a jumble. "U-ummm... I'm sorry I just—"
Sevika pulled your face closer to her own, "Embarrassed? Too ashamed?" She quipped, her nose brushing against yours.
You shook your head frantically, "I've been— I've been busy..."
"Oh yeah? Busy doing what? Writing sleazy porn?" Sevika backed up and crossed her arms, foot tapping against the tile floor of the restroom. "Show me."
"What?" You stared.
"I said, show me your writing, virgin girl."
"I'm not doing that." You said half-heartedly as you looked away.
"Do I look like I'm asking?" Sevika retorted.
Reluctantly, you handed her your diary, opened to the most recent scenario written out briefly. Her eyes scanned over the entire page, scrutinizing every letter before she muttered, "You're freaky, I'll give you that. But can you even do half the things you're doing in here?" She nodded to the diary.
"I'm sure I'll be pretty good at all that stuff." You said confidently although you knew it yourself it was all bluff.
Sevika smirked before she pinned you to the wall again, dropping your diary and grabbing your wrists up and over your head. "Is that so, doll face?"
You felt heat rush to your face and your heart thudded in your chest. Sevika was so close to you. You swallowed the saliva in your mouth before you leaned in without thinking and kissed her.
Only... You had never kissed a girl before.
Sevika got the gist, she parted from the kiss just enough for her to chuckle in your face before she kissed you again— ten times the vigor, her need for you dripping with every time her tongue twisted around yours. You pulled away, gasping for air, face flushed.
"You're lucky you're cute." Sevika said, eyeing your body down like a feral animal, "Kneel."
"Sev— what the—"
"You'll do what you did in your little sex story."
Sex story.
You bit your lip, feeling utterly embarrassed by the way Sevika addressed your fanfiction, but you obliged, dropping to your knees in front of her before you hesitantly raised a hand to rest on her crotch.
You felt a bulge.
Your eyes widened. It was a cock. A real cock.
"Oh my..."
Sevika's smirk twisted into something darker and she watched the way you innocently gawked up at her.
"Use your teeth, baby." She instructed.
You nodded and leaned forward, grabbing the zipper of her pants between your teeth and dragging it open before pulling her pants down using your mouth along with her boxers. Her cock sprung out— large, girthy, veiny.
In one word, intimidating.
"It's so big..." You mumbled, mesmerised before you leaned closer and wrapped your lips around the tip of it.
"Fuck, doll, there you go. You're getting the hang of it."
Sevika watched the way your mouth slowly took her lengthy cock inside, her eyes glinting with lust and mischief as she held your hair to guide you.
"Looking so slutty for me down there."
Your panties dampened further at her words. They were so cruel but you knew you loved it so much. You enjoyed her being mean to you. Sevika guided you to slowly start deep throating her shaft. You gagged a little, backing up. You glanced at her, and she gave you a nod so you tried again. You placed shaky hands on her muscly thighs, grounding yourself there in front of her— kneeling and worshipping her cock.
This time, you didn't gag and you managed to take her cock down your throat. Sevika chuckled, "Atta girl, ready for the real deal?"
You looked up at her, eyes questioning her silently. Sevika grabbed the back of your head and started bobbing your head up and down on her cock— fast.
Hard. Brutal.
Everytime her cock head slammed against the back of your throat, your eyes watered and choked on her precum and your own saliva. You drooled around her as you let her use your mouth to get off, face fucking you mercilessly.
Your fingernails dug deep into her thighs leaving crescent shaped marks as Sevika groaned. "Your throat's so nice and warm— fuck."
Your eyes closed, eyebrows curling up as you struggled to keep up, trying to catch your breath but it was hard.
"Unghhh!"
You whimpered around her length and she gave it one last thrust before you felt her warm seed on your tongue, filling your mouth up. Sevika's thumb hooked on your bottom lip, opening your mouth.
"Let me see," she cooed as she made sure your mouth was full of her cum before she said "swallow." You swallowed her semen, staring up at her with your glossy eyes and messed face. "Open," she opened your mouth to check, "Good girl." Her deep voice calling you a good girl. Oh, you could swoon. "Up."
You stood up, staring at her with curious eyes as she parted your legs. One of Sevika's hands held both your wrists over your head and the other found its way on your pussy.
"Warm and wet for me, yeah?"
"Mhm," you nodded shyly, gasping when you felt the calloused pads of her fingers rubbing your slick folds.
"You want my fingers?" Sevika nipped at your neck, leaving hickeys that screamed her name. Her territory. Her girl.
"Y-yeah, please, give me your fingers," you begged, your voice breaking at the end of your words. Sevika pressed her deliciously thick fingers against your slit and sunk them inside. Your pussy tightened around her digits, "Oh, they're big..."
Sevika chuckled, the voice low and sensual. "Let me fulfil your desires, relax for me."
You were melting in her arms as she set a comfortable pace for the both of you. Your eyes closed and you let your head hang back.
"Oh, imagine if someone walked in like this and saw my fingers knuckles deep inside your slutty pussy?"
"Please, no, that would be embarrassing..."
Your hole fluttered around her fingers making Sevika grin, she leaned in, her nose brushing against your jaw. You pushed back needily, grinding against her fingers, trying to get her to graze against your g-spot.
"Oh, sweet girl, they'd really eat that gossip up, wouldn't they? The quiet, shy, virgin girl humping the big, bad Sevika's fingers?" Sevika bit the side of your neck and you gasped, wrists almost moving out of place but then Sevika held them right and in place. "Are you close already? You're shaking."
Sevika stifled a cruel laugh, pulling her fingers out all the way before she sunk them back inside. Your juices ran down her fingers and wrist— messy. Your mouth opened, forming an 'O'. A gasp shy of a moan exited your mouth and your thighs trembled on each side of her hands.
"I am gonna cum— I think!" You whispered in her ear and your body locked in place, Sevika's last few thrusts were the fastest— coercing out your orgasm as pleasure waves coursed through your body like fire.
As you finally came down for the high, Sevika let go of your hands and cradled your face closer to her own. You stared at her with your tired eyes, making her cold exterior soften a tad bit. Sevika brought her slick fingers to her own mouth and licked your juices off, maintaining eye contact with you. You blushed, leaning against the cold wall behind yourself for support and balance.
"Meet me at my car." Sevika said, before she pulled her pants back in place, and winked.

Quinn hughes x sharks!reader
—-------------------------------------------
Long distance had not been easy, but you and Quinn were really trying to make it work. It was a lot of late-night calls, quick trips across the border, and constant texting. If you were at a different point in your life, you might complain, but where you are now was actually perfect. You didn’t have to worry about splitting time between work and a boyfriend, because your boyfriend lived 900 miles away, so he wasn’t expecting your physical time.
It was easy for him too – he had strayed away from relationships ever since he was drafted in the NHL, not wanting to put someone through the experience of him being away all the time and always focused on hockey. The first half of the season came and went and you fell into a good routine: watch Quinn’s games when you could, call him after, fall asleep to his voice.
It was after a night Sharks game, when you saw that someone else had tried to call you: Ellen. The second you saw the missed call, you immediately dialed her number.
“Hey Ellen, sorry I missed your call,” you said, concerned. It was pretty late where she was at so the unexpected call had you on high alert.
“Hey sweetheart, I know you don’t have your phone on during games, but I wanted to tell you that Quinn got hurt tonight,” she said softly.
Your heart sank, “How hurt?”
“Not terribly, but something with his obliques,” she said. “I talked to him an hour ago, he said it’s looking like there’s a good chance he’s going to miss some games.”
You were devastated for Quinn; missing some upcoming games likely meant he wouldn’t be able to play in the Four Nations tournament either. He was so happy when he was selected for the team and you knew this would crush him. You thanked Ellen for the call and called your boyfriend next.
“Hi baby,” he greeted sleepily.
"Hi, I just heard. Are you okay?" Your voice was tight with concern.
"I've been better," Quinn sighed, and you could practically see him running a hand through his hair, that frustrated gesture you'd come to know so well. "Doc says it's just a strain, but..." He trailed off.
"Ellen mentioned you might miss some games."
A heavy pause hung between you. "Yeah. And probably Four Nations too." His voice cracked slightly on the last word, confirming your fears.
"Oh, Quinn," you whispered, wishing more than anything you could be there to hold him. "I'm so sorry."
"It's hockey, you know? These things happen." He was trying to sound casual, but you could hear the disappointment weighing down each word. "I just... I wanted it so badly.”
He sounded so meek over the phone, and your heart broke in half listening. You tried to keep the conversation going but saying he was tired, all you could do was remind him that you were here for him before hanging up.
“What’s wrong?” Will asked, pulling you out of your thoughts. He had his bag thrown over his shoulder, his eyebrows furrowed in concern.
“Quinn injured his oblique,” you told him, trying to keep your emotions at bay.
“How bad?” He asked.
“Bad,” you replied. “He’s going to miss four nations.”
Will held open his arms, and you crumpled into them, trying to take deep breaths. You heard him talking to someone else so you pulled back, meeting Macklin’s sad gaze. He collected you from Will’s arms and held you tightly against him.
“Okay, let’s make a plan,” Macklin told Will. “You deal with the flight stuff and I’ll get her stuff from the apartment?”
“Already looking up flights,” Will said, scrolling through his phone. “Last one of the night leaving in two hours. I’ll get it.”
“How much is it?” You asked, turning to look at him.
He rolled his eyes. “Don’t worry about it.”
“Will,” you warned, and he gave you a look.
“Dude, we make so much money, it doesn’t matter.”
He didn’t let you argue any further and after a quick stop by your apartment you were on your way to the airport.
Macklin had driven you, and you sat in silence for a moment before he nudged your shoulder gently.
"He's going to be okay, you know," he said softly. "Hockey players are built differently."
You nodded, picking at a loose thread on your sleeve. "I know. It's just... he wanted this so badly."
"And he'll have other opportunities," Macklin assured you. "But right now, what he needs is you."
The flight to Vancouver was mercifully quick, though you spent most of it staring at the seat in front of you, unable to sleep despite the late hour. By the time you arrived at his apartment, it was nearly 3 AM. You used the key he had given you the last time you’d seen him to open the door to the quiet place.
Being as quiet as possible, you set your bag down on the couch before heading towards Quinn’s room. Taking a moment, you admired his sleeping form, his eyebrows were unconsciously furrowed, an almost scowl on his face.
You stepped into the room slowly, unsure if you should wake him. But as if sensing you, Quinn stirred, his eyes blinking open. The second he registered that it was you standing in his doorway, his expression softened.
"Hey," he rasped, voice thick with sleep and surprise. "What are you doing here?"
"I got on the first flight I could," you said, stepping closer. "I couldn’t just stay there knowing you were hurting."
He sat up with a wince, pushing the blankets down to his waist. “You flew all the way from San Jose… in the middle of the night?”
You nodded, climbing up onto the bed beside him. “Of course I did.”
His jaw clenched for a second, like he was trying to hold something in, but then he reached out and gently pulled you into him. His hand slid around the back of your neck, his lips pressing against your temple. “You’re crazy,” he whispered.
“I know,” you whispered back. “But I love you. And I wanted to be here.”
“You love me?” He asked, frozen in place. Your breath hitched, not realizing what you had let slip out.
Your heart hammered against your ribs as the admission hung in the air between you. You hadn't planned to say it like this—in his darkened bedroom at 3 AM, both of you exhausted, him injured—but there it was.
"I do," you said softly, deciding to own the moment rather than try to take it back. "I love you, Quinn."
His eyes searched yours in the dim light, a mix of vulnerability and wonder crossing his features. Then, a small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"I love you too," he whispered, his hand gently cupping your face. "God, I've been wanting to tell you for weeks, but I didn't want to say it over the phone."
Relief washed over you, followed quickly by a warmth that spread through your chest. You leaned forward, pressing your forehead against his. “I’m sorry you got hurt.”
“If it means I get to be woken up at 3am to you in my room, I’ll do it more often,” he joked and you laughed. His tone turned serious again, “I’m glad you’re here. I needed you.”
“I know,” you told him, bringing your lips to press against his. “I’m here, always.”

Stolen kisses - part 2 ~ Paige's version
Finally posting part 2 of stolen kisses! Sorry it's taken so long, i've been a busy busy bee :) Hope you guys enjoy it! Constructive criticism is always welcome :D Find my masterlist here :)
Pairing(s): Paige Bueckers x female!reader  Word count: 6.4k+ Warnings: make out sessions, hickeys, jealousy Summary: Paige finally snaps as jealousy takes a hold of her, revealing your secret relationship to the team. ------------
A few weeks have passed, and you’re still happier than ever. Okay, that’s a lie. Classes have been kicking your ass, and practices have been leaving you completely drained. Relationship-wise, however, things have been great!
You celebrated your 6-month anniversary with Paige a while ago, and it was amazing. You felt a little bad about having lied to your team that night, but you had to. They wanted to have a sleepover in KK and Ice’ dorm and watch movies, but you weren’t about to cancel your date for that.
You’d taken her to a fancy restaurant for dinner, followed by a movie in your dorm as you held her in your arms. You’d looked up the nicest restaurant in the area because you wanted nothing but the best for your girl, but in the end, you don’t remember anything about the place itself. You were too enthralled by how beautiful Paige looked in that mouthwatering black dress shirt of hers. You didn’t notice the cozy lights, too focused on the way the Minnesotan lit up the room with her smile. The soft music was nothing compared to the sweet laugh that filled the air as you made a joke.
That day might’ve been the best day of your life. The restaurant was quite a distance away from campus and was pretty private, so you didn’t have to worry about anyone seeing you two in such an intimate setting. It felt so freeing. You hoped that it wouldn’t be long before you could finally show everyone that you’d managed to win over the prettiest girl in the world.
-------
You hum to yourself as you get out of the car. You woke up with a song stuck in your head, and it hadn’t left your mind for the past two hours. Mumbling the lyrics as you grab your bag out of the trunk, you hear your name being yelled. You close the trunk, turning around to see a grinning KK wave at you as she and Azzi make their way towards you. You smile back at the pair, greeting them as KK daps you up. You give Azzi a quick hug before you all start walking towards the facility.
“You ready for practice?” The younger girl asks with a wide smile. “Sure, if being ready means being dead-tired, sore, and barely holding it together,” you reply with a playful smile. “That’s the spirit!” KK laughs as she pats you on the shoulder.
When you reach the court, your eyes immediately zero in on Paige. She’s talking to some of the other girls as she’s stretching. Hearing the doors slam shut, she looks over and sends you a smirk, her eyebrow raised playfully as she catches you staring. You simply smile at her, not bothered by the teasing look on her face.
You quickly say hi to everyone, giving each girl a hug or a fist bump. When you hug Paige, you let your hands linger on her hips a little longer, giving her 3 soft squeezes. “I love you,” you say without words. When you pull back, the blonde looks at you with a twinkle in her eyes. She bites her lip to hold back the beaming smile that’s threatening to break free. You give a quick wink as you move away from her, walking towards the locker room to put away your stuff.
When you return to the court, you see everyone is already there, including coach Geno and a girl you don’t recognize. You don’t get the chance to ask who she is before KK starts rambling about a new game she’s been obsessed with. You give her your full attention, laughing at her dramatics and wild hand gestures. In the middle of her rant about a certain game mechanic she hates, Geno waves everyone over. KK huffs as she pouts at being interrupted. You pat her shoulder, telling her to continue talking about it later. The younger girl brightens up, beaming at the fact that you want to hear more about her current obsession.
Everyone forms a half-circle around the coach and the mystery girl, giving them curious looks. You know for sure she’s not a new player. She’s a lot shorter than you, standing at about 5’2”, with wavy, brown hair and big, thin glasses. She’s holding her laptop to her chest as she smiles sweetly at everyone. When you make eye contact, you send her a small smile of your own. Her eyes crinkle as her lips curl up even more.
You don’t notice the look Paige sends your way as she notices the interaction. You look back at Geno when he starts talking. “Everyone, meet Emma, she’ll be interviewing everyone for the school newspaper. I trust you’ll all make her feel very welcome!” He says with a smile, but his eyes hold a seriousness as he looks at the team. “Hi, it’s nice to meet you guys,” Emma says with a shy smile, her cheeks becoming a little pink at the attention from the tall, athletic girls around her.
One by one, the huskies begin introducing themselves. The atmosphere immediately becomes more relaxed as KK sassily introduces herself and immediately follows it with a playful jab at Paige. The blonde gasps dramatically, teasing the younger girl back with her own insults. Everyone chuckles at the childish duo as they both quiet down after getting a pointed look from Geno.
“Alright, practice will go on like normal, but Emma will call each one of you away for small interviews to get to know you all better for her article. She’ll be joining us for the next 5 or so practices, so you might not all be interviewed today. Let’s treat her with respect and show her what it’s like to be part of the Husky family!” Geno speeches. When he finishes, he gives Emma a nod, letting her slip away to go set up her stuff.
Practice starts like normal, a mix of serious training mixed with laughter as the girls tease each other. Chuckles can be heard as KK whines about not being picked first for the interview, Ice sticking her tongue out at the younger girl as she walks over to Emma. Once Ice is done, KK gets called away, followed by Azzi. You don’t pay them a lot of mind, more focused on fixing your trouble shots. Once Geno is happy with everyone’s progress, he changes the drill. “Okay, pair up! We’re gonna work on defense.”
You don’t get the chance to try to wave Paige over, as the blonde appears beside you in the blink of an eye. “Partners?” She grins. “Partners,” you agree. Once the team is paired up, you grab a ball and take Paige to a quiet corner. “Ready to get destroyed, babe?” She mumbles with a smug smirk.
Your heart flutters at the nickname. “In your dreams, baby,” you quip back. While you’d proven to her you were the better scorer that day you two first kissed, there was no way you were better at defense. That doesn’t mean you’ll back down and submit, however. You loved riling her up. Especially when you could convince her afterward to sneak off with you to go make out in a random janitor’s room. She’d kiss you with so much fire and passion that it made you see stars.
You’re glad the others are busy with their own stuff and that no one is looking your way. It’s not like you and Paige were being very subtle. You were constantly mumbling flirty comments while letting your hands linger on her body for longer than you would with any other player. You also didn’t need to be told to know you had that look in your eyes. The look that Paige calls your “adoration face”. But how can you not look at her with so much love in your eyes when the love you have for her is one of the main reasons that keeps you going in life?
Your banter gets cut short as you hear your name being called. When you look over, you see Aaliyah making her way towards you. “You’re up, L/N,” she announces as she takes over your spot with Paige. You send both girls a smile before making your way to the interviewer. You miss the sour look on the blue-eyed girl’s face as you walk away.
You sit down beside Emma, asking her how she’s doing and if the others haven’t been giving her too much trouble. She giggles a little, shaking her head as a few curls fall in her face. You try your best to make the shorter girl feel at ease, knowing your team can be a loud and intimidating bunch. The brunette starts her interview with easy questions, asking how long you’ve been playing basketball, who your favorite players are, and what your dream team would look like. She also asks about what the team dynamics are in your opinion and how you’d describe the other players in only one word.
Your natural charm (or your “otherworldly rizz” as KK would say) shines through during the whole interview. The girls keep glancing over when they hear Emma laugh at another one of your comments, all giving you a grin or a raised eyebrow at your “flirting”. You’re not trying to flirt, being very happy in your relationship with Paige, but that’s just the person you are.
You give the people you’re talking to your full attention, your eyes never leaving theirs. You make people feel comfortable with your genuine charm and warm smile. It also didn’t help that one of your main love languages is touch. You were always touching the team, be it an arm on someone’s shoulder, a knee against theirs, or a hand on their arm. You don’t notice you’re doing the same with Emma, a hand resting against her upper arm as you lean in a bit to tell her a funny story about your first practice at UConn.
Hearing your chuckles, which usually sound like music to the blonde’s ears, Paige looks over at the benches, a tiny frown on her face as you laugh with the girl beside you. Her mood only worsens when she sees the brunette slap your arm softly as you give her a little smirk. Being distracted, the blonde doesn’t notice Aaliyah coming a bit close, making her fall to the ground.
You look up towards the far corner of the gym as Aaliyah helps her up. You frown a bit as your muscles tense. You want to go over and check on your girl to make sure she’s okay, but you know it would look suspicious, so you stay seated. It’s moments like this where you wish you could just be open about your relationship with the girl so you could fuss over her without worrying about anyone seeing.
You don’t hear what the two players are saying, but you relax slightly as you see Aaliyah’s smile. Paige’s face looks a bit more thunderous, but you figure she’s just riled up from training and maybe even a bit embarrassed about the fall. You don’t hear anything the brunette beside you is saying as you continue to look at your girlfriend. When the blonde finally looks back your way, you send her a soft smile. You blink slowly at her, sending her another wordless “I love you”.
A few weeks ago, you’d read something online about how cats blink slowly as to say “I’m happy” or “I love you”. You two had immediately adopted the gesture, adding it to your list of ways to assure each other when others were around. When one of you would slowly blink, the other would do it back.
At least that’s usually the case. Right now, Paige’s frown just deepens a little as she eyes you and Emma. You tilt your head slightly, raising your eyebrow in confusion. You don’t see her reaction as Emma’s voice pulls you back into the moment. “You okay?” She mumbles, looking at you in concern. “Hm? Oh! Uh, yeah, no, I’m fine. Sorry,” you reply, rubbing your neck sheepishly as you look down apologetically.
“Don’t worry about it,” she responds as she puts a hand on your bicep. Your head snaps back up as you hear Paige scoff. You hadn’t noticed everyone had made their way over to the benches as practice had come to an end. You furrow your eyebrow at the girl’s sudden foul mood, intent on finding out what’s troubling her later.
As everyone starts making their way towards the locker room, you hang back a bit to finish your conversation with Emma. You give the girl your number, happy to have a new friend, before making your way towards the changing room. The second you close the door behind you, the girls start hollering at you.
“Well, well, if it isn’t our favorite player, finally making her way here,” Nika teases, emphasizing the word player to let you know she’s not talking in the sense of basketball. “Do you have to flirt with every girl you meet?” KK jokingly asks. “When’s the wedding?” Ice jumps in.
“Alright, alright, shut up,” you say, rolling your eyes playfully as you chuckle at them. “For the record, I wasn’t flirting.” “Sureee,” Azzi grins at you. You give her a good-natured push, looking at her with an open mouth in betrayal. “Et tu, Brute?” You gasp, making everyone laugh. Well, almost everyone.
You look over at your favorite person when you don’t hear her angelic laugh. Paige is glaring at the floor, her jaw clenched. You take a step towards her before clearing your throat and moving towards your locker. You want to make sure the shorter girl is okay, but you don’t want to draw attention to her bad mood, nor do you want her to get mad at you again for “being too obvious”.
You hurry to get ready, seeing as the blonde is already starting to leave. You quickly say your goodbyes to the rest of the girls before running after her. When you call her name, she doesn’t react, only continuing her powerful strides. You finally catch up as you leave the building, grabbing onto her elbow. “Hey… What’s wrong?” You mutter, trying to catch her eye as she glowers at the floor. “Nothing,” she mutters, taking a tiny step back, so your hand falls from her arm.
You feel a pang in your chest as she does so. You raise your hand again to reach out to her, letting it hang in the air for a second before putting it in your hoodie pocket instead. You feel heat creep up your neck as you remember the last time she pulled away from you. You’d been standing too close when the girls walked into the room. Paige had taken a quick step back and sent you a stern look, making your heart hurt a little. You knew she wasn’t ashamed of you, she just wasn’t ready to tell people she’s not as straight as they think she is, yet sometimes it does feel like it.
You swallow harshly before saying her name. It comes out in a whisper as you try not to whimper. You absolutely hate it when the girl is upset with you. It makes you feel like your stomach is in knots and like your throat closes as your chest starts to hurt.
You quickly go over everything that happened in practice, trying to figure out if you’d done anything wrong, but you come up with a blank. Opening your mouth to say…Well, you weren’t sure what you were going to say, but it doesn’t matter as Paige starts speaking first. “I gotta go, I’ll talk to you later.” She turns away from you, making her way towards her car. You want to go after her, but you know that would only make things worse.
As her car disappears from sight, you continue standing there. Your shoulders are sagged as you pout slightly. Hearing someone call your name, you straighten up, putting on a fake smile as you look over. “You alright?” Azzi asks, her eyes roaming over you as if that’ll show her what's wrong. “Yeah! Sorry, just lost in thought,” you reply, sending her a smile and a wave before you start walking away.
When you reach your dorm, you’re glad your roommate decided to sleep over at her boyfriend’s dorm. You plop down on the couch with a sigh, leaning your head back as you close your eyes for a moment. You don’t stay like that for long, sitting back up as you grab your phone. You open your messages, hovering your thumbs over the keyboard as you stare at your last messages with Paige. She’d been teasing you and talking shit about how she was going to destroy you in practice this morning. Everything was still fine back then.
You chew your lip as you think about what to text her. You know you won’t get a reply if you ask her what’s wrong again, having enough experience with her when she’s like this. “Dorm’s empty tonight, wanna stay over? :)” You send instead. You stare at the text for a while before realizing you’re not going to get a reply any time soon. Closing the app, you get up, throwing your phone on the couch as you walk over to get some water.
You sprint walk back over when you hear your phone ding. Quickly grabbing it, you deflate a little when you see it’s a message from Emma instead. “Thanks again for the interview today and being so nice 😊🤗” It reads. For a moment, you consider not answering, but you quickly shake your head. Emma was a nice girl and seemed like she’d be a great friend, she didn’t deserve any rudeness from you just because you were in a bad mood.
You start feeling better the longer you text the brunette, laughing as she makes awful dad jokes. Before you know it, you two start video calling, your fingers cramping from the hours of typing. You’re looking at her with a wide smile as she animatedly waves her hands around, explaining something that happened to her during an interview. Your eyes dart up as your phone buzzes with a new message. You make a face as you see your girlfriend’s message. “Can’t tonight, I’m busy”.
You’re now certain the blonde is mad at you. Because of the fact that you two aren’t out about your relationship, you always took every chance you got to stay the night in each other’s room. Sure, the girl could really be busy, but you knew she wasn’t, seeing as she would’ve told you about it already.
When it becomes silent, you look back at your screen to see Emma looking at you. You put another fake smile on your face as you apologize for getting distracted. The brunette shakes her head, sending you a soft smile. “It’s okay… Are you sure you’re alright?” She says, her voice warm and nonjudgmental. “Yeah, I’m sorry, I just…” You frown, not sure what you can even say. “Sorry, I should get going. I’ll talk to you later?” You say instead, sending her a small smile before letting her end the call.
You glance at your clock, seeing it’s already pretty late. You open your chat with Paige again, sending her a goodnight message. “I’m going to bed, I love you baby! Sweet dreams ❤️”. You get up and walk over to the bathroom to get ready to go to sleep. When you return, you see she already replied. You feel a bit better at the fast response, but that feeling quickly passes when you see it. “Night” is all it says.
It feels like someone is squeezing your chest as you read the message. You close out of the app, letting your phone drop beside you as you stare at the ceiling. You lay awake for hours before finally passing out from pure exhaustion. When you wake up again, it feels like you never even slept. Your head is pounding, your chest hurts, and you feel like you’ve been run over by a truck. You squint at the light coming in through your blinds before feeling around your bed to find your phone. As you try to turn it on, you realize it’s completely dead from not being plugged in. You groan to yourself, already annoyed with the day, as you plug your phone in.
When you look at your clock, you shoot up with wide eyes. You’d overslept. Of course, you had! Your phone was dead, so your alarm didn’t go off. Stumbling out of bed, you stagger into the bathroom, trying to put on some pants as you walk. You brush your teeth while you’re on the toilet to save time before running back to your bedroom to grab a shirt. Quickly grabbing the things you’ll need for class, you linger at the door for a moment, debating if you should grab your phone. You end up leaving it on your nightstand, seeing as it’s dead anyway.
On your way to class, you feel a little bad about not sending your girl a good morning, but you try to shrug it off, knowing she’d probably still be in a pissy mood anyway. You barely pay attention to what’s being said in class as you try not to nod off. Just as your eyes are about to close, the bell rings, signaling the end of class. “Saved by the bell,” you think to yourself.
As you make your way back across campus, you run into Paige, Azzi, and Nika. You greet everyone, slightly nervous as you say hi to the blue-eyed girl. To your surprise, she sends you a grin as she greets you happily. For a moment, you freeze, not expecting the girl to have gone back to normal, pretending nothing happened. You smile back, but it doesn’t reach your eyes as your mind goes a million miles an hour. You wonder if you should ask to talk to her alone for a moment to understand what was going on. You end up not doing it, however, scared of making her upset again. “She’ll tell me what’s wrong when she’s ready,” you convince yourself.
“I’ve texted you like 10 times already, bro. Did you lose your phone or something?” Nika asks, pulling you out of your thoughts. “Hm? Oh, nah, I forgot to plug it in yesterday, so it was completely dead this morning. I overslept and left my phone back in my room to charge.”
You glance over at Paige, hoping she knows you didn’t just not text her because you were mad. “You’re such an idiot,” Nika laughs. You see Azzi raise an eyebrow at the brunette, knowing full well Nika forgets to plug in her phone multiple times a week, meaning Azzi has to wake her up on most days. You just roll your eyes at her, too tired to give a good comeback.
“Anywaysss,” Azzi says, “you only had one class today, right? Wanna come over to our dorm?” You think about it for a moment. On one hand, you would love to go back to bed and sleep until the next morning, but on the other hand, you wanted to spend some time with Paige. The blonde looks at you with hopeful eyes and a soft smile, and you know right then and there you’d agree to anything they proposed, as long as she’d be there.
“Sure,” you shrug. “That’s the spirit!” Nika says as she swings an arm around your shoulder. You were hoping to hang back a little and talk to Paige, but it seems like the brunette has other plans as she guides you to her dorm.
The rest of the day you spend in Nika and Azzi’s room, laughing as you laze around. Your chest feels lighter as the star player teases you like she normally would. When it’s getting late, you walk your girl back to her door. You two don’t talk much, instead choosing to walk in a comfortable silence. When you reach her dorm, you lean against the wall as you watch her side profile while she unlocks her door. After stepping inside, she raises her voice, calling out, “Hello?”
Not hearing a response, she turns back towards you, pulling you inside. You barely have time to close the door behind you as she grabs your face and kisses you. Your back hits the door as she pushes you against it, hungrily attacking your lips. You’re not sure what’s happening, but you don’t mind, kissing her back with just as much fervor. It’s crazy how much you’d missed her lips against yours, even though it had only been two days.
She pulls back, her lips now assaulting your neck as you lean back, trying to catch your breath. You can already feel the purple bruises start to form, but you don’t stop her. Though you two had agreed not to leave marks on one another, you loved it when she did. You loved being reminded of your activities and liked the way the girl claimed ownership of you despite the secret relationship. You squeeze her hips as she sucks your sweet spot, a soft groan leaving your lips.
She pulls back, looking at you with a smug grin at the noise you made. You send her a smirk as you quickly flip her over, now pushing her against the door instead. You kiss her hard as you lean your body against her to keep her up. You let your own lips trail down her neck, but don’t leave marks, knowing everyone would know what you two did otherwise.
Once you have her gasping for air, you make your way back towards her lips. Reaching them, you give her a long, soft kiss before leaning your forehead against hers. She stares up at you, her pupils fully blown out, as she bites her lip. You lift your head, kissing her forehead as you mumble an “I love you”. She sends you a dopey smile as she says it back. You raise one hand to her cheek, rubbing it softly as you stare at her lovingly.
Once she regains her breath and can stand up on her own again, you take a step back. While you’d love to stay with her all night, you knew her roommate could be back any minute. “I should go,” you whisper, not wanting to break the moment. “Yeah,” she breathes out, a little disappointed. You give her one more soft smile and a squeeze before leaving.
You’ve barely left her hallway when your phone dings. Looking at the message, a wide smile breaks free on your face. It’s a selfie of a pouting Paige with the words “Already miss you :(” below it. You quickly save the picture, reacting to it with a heart and telling her she’s a dork but that you miss her too.
When you text her good night when you go to bed, you’re happy to see a loving message back.
The next morning, you wake up to your alarm feeling well-rested and ready for the day. You grab your phone, texting Paige a good morning and asking if she wants to go to practice with you or if you’d be seeing her there. She replies, letting you know you can pick her up at her dorm in 30 minutes, making you grin widely. You hurriedly get ready, grabbing some toast for on the way, before leaving. You finish your breakfast right as you reach the blonde’s dorm, knocking on the door as you tap your fingers against your thigh to the beat of a random tune.
The blue-eyed girl opens the door with a wide smile, greeting you as she steps out into the hallway. After she closes the door, she quickly glances both ways before pulling you down into a quick kiss. It ends sooner than you would’ve liked, but it still manages to make you feel dazed. The girl pushes you away with a tiny laugh, “Come on, Romeo, we don’t wanna be late.”
You give her a goofy grin as she links her arm in yours. The gesture is friendly enough that it doesn’t draw anyone’s attention, yet you can still be close to her. You both make small talk as you walk, teasing each other about everything and nothing. Once you reach the facility, you both go your own ways, greeting everyone before making your way towards the changing room.
When you make it back to the court, you pass Paige as she walks towards her locker. You playfully pat her ass, sending her a wink as she sends you a lighthearted glare. You throw her a kiss, grinning as you hear the girls around you laugh at the interaction. You start warming up with Azzi and KK as you wait for the rest of the team to arrive, only stopping when you see Emma walk in.
Seeing her struggle with all her stuff, you jog over to give her a hand. “Need some help, tiny?” You tease as you take over the bag that was sliding off of her shoulder. She sends you a dirty look as she grumbles, “M not tiny, you’re just a goddamn giant.” You laugh as you squeeze her shoulder. “What was that? You need to speak up, shorty, I can’t hear you all the way down there.”
You quickly sidestep to avoid the punch aimed at your arm, rushing forward to catch the younger girl as she stumbles from the momentum. You let out a loud belly laugh as the brunette’s cheeks become a bright red. “I hate youuu,” she mumbles as she reaches her usual spot for the interviews, putting down her stuff before hiding her face in her hands. “Nahh, you love me,” you grin, pulling her into a side hug as you pat her head.
You’re too busy making fun of Emma to notice Paige return to the court. She scowls at your proximity with the girl beside you, hating the way the interviewer is making you laugh the way she usually does.
When coach Geno calls everyone over, you give Emma a playful wink before running over to the other girls. Once everyone knows what today’s plan is, the team slowly starts dispersing. “I see you, girly,” KK says with a smug look. You roll your eyes as you reply, “I really don’t know what you’re on about. We’re just friends.” “Righttt, just friends… You like her, though, don’t cha? I mean, brunettes are your type, right?” Nika asks with a smirk.
Paige clenches her jaw and furrows her brows at the brunette’s words, walking away with her group for their drill. “In your dreams, Mühl,” You retort, giving Nika a little push. Sure, your last two girlfriends were brunettes, but that didn’t mean they were your type. You don’t really have a type, you just love all women. You love a certain star athlete in particular, though.
Looking over at your girl, you see her staring at the floor angrily. You tilt your head in slight confusion before it dawns on you that she heard the teasing comment aimed your way. “Oh… She’s annoyed because of what Niks said. I’ll talk to her later,” you think to yourself, shaking your head to focus back on practice.
When your girlfriend’s name gets called for her interview, you watch her walk away. She’s chewing on her bottom lip, stomping her feet a little harder than usual, her shoulders hunched. You stare until you get hit by a basketball, reminding you to get your head in the game.
Not long after, your attention gets taken away again as Paige comes back onto the court, being done with her interview much quicker than the others. You send Emma an apologetic look, feeling bad for her having to feel your girl’s wrath. She gives you a smile back, waving you over to finish your interview.
“‘M sorry about her, she’s not usually so…” You shake your head, not knowing what to say. “Don’t worry about it,” Emma grins. “I think she just has some stuff going on right now…” you trail off. “Mhm… I think she’s jealous,” the brunette shrugs. “Wait, what? Why would she be jealous?” You ask, your speech speeding up a bit, nervous that you might’ve given away your relationship with the girl.
“Well, the two days I’ve been here, she’s been grumpy. She started off being happy, but then she saw me, and she looked annoyed,” she says in a matter of fact way. You open your mouth to protest but get stopped by the younger girl as she raises her hand. “The fact that she’s also sending me a death glare right now kinda makes me think she doesn’t like you being near me,” she finishes with a smirk. You whip your head around to look at the girl in question, seeing exactly what Emma was talking about.
“I… It’s not like that,” you stumble, scratching your neck awkwardly. “Mhmmmm,” she hums, her eyes twinkling in amusement. “Okay, you can’t tell anyone!” You beg, your eyes wide as you look at her. “I won’t,” she replies. Seeing the uncertainty in your eyes, she put a hand on your arm, giving you a squeeze as she raises three fingers with her other hand, “Scout’s honor!” You relax with a chuckle. “Alright, dork.”
You continue your interview, taking quick glances at your girlfriend every so often. Every time you look, you see her frown has deepened. Whenever Emma notices, you apologize, making the girl giggle at the amount of sorry’s you’ve said. When you finish your interview, you get up, shoving your shirt in your pants to continue practicing. You turn towards the brunette one last time, apologizing for the glares aimed her way. “It’s okay, it’s kinda sweet,” she replies. “Yeah, giving people the stink eye is sooo sweet,” you grin as you jog backward, making the younger girl laugh.
Hearing Emma’s sickly sweet laugh, Paige finally snaps. Once you reach the middle of the court, she marches over to you. Everyone moves away, clearly seeing that the girl is on a mission. Once she reaches you, you open your mouth to ask if everything is okay, but you don’t get the chance to say a word. The blonde grips your collar, tugging you down with more force than you expected, and kisses you hard. You automatically kiss her back before realizing what’s going on.
Once she lets you go, you pull back slightly, looking at her with wide eyes. “You’re mine,” she growls quietly, not letting you get far. You immediately nod your head vigorously as you look her in the eyes before glancing around the room. The once lively gym suddenly having become so quiet, you could hear a pin drop. Everyone is staring at you two with a shocked look, while Emma gives you a smirk and an “I told you so” look. You see KK open her mouth a few times but close it again when she can’t find the words.
Looking back at Paige, you see her anger has simmered down, an adorable pout on her face as she stares up at you. “I thought you didn’t want anyone to know just yet?” You mumble, leaning close so the others don’t hear. “Yeah, well, I changed my mind,” she mutters back, taking a glance towards the bench. You follow her gaze, grinning as you see Emma happily swinging her legs as she looks at you both, her cheek resting against her hand as she leans on the table in front of her. Chuckling, you pull your girl closer, leaning down to whisper, “Are you jealous?”
“What? N-no,” she huffs, burying her red face in your shoulder. You laugh at how adorable she’s being, ready to tease her some more. “You do realize Emma is in a relationship, right? She’s dating one of our hockey players.” The shorter girl becomes an even brighter red, embarrassed about the whole situation. You open your mouth to poke more fun at her, but the team seems to have overcome their initial shock, mumbling to each other in confusion.
“I’m sorry, pause,” Nika blurts out, raising her hand in a “stop” motion. “You two are dating??” She asks, her face still showing pure bewilderment. You look over at her with a wide, proud smile, nodding your head as you pull Paige closer against you, leaning your head on hers. “Since uh when?☝️🤨” KK interrogates. (A/N: Anyone get that reference?)
“We’ve been dating for 7 months and 13 days,” you reply, taking the lead as Paige is still too embarrassed to say much. “Damn, you said that with no hesitation,” Aaliyah says, looking a little impressed. “Yeah, you’re a simp,” KK laughs, making you roll your eyes. “You’re just mad cus I get bitches and you don’t!”
You look down at Paige, feeling her move away from you. She looks at you with a raised eyebrow and an “Oh really?” face. Stumbling over your words, you quickly correct yourself, “I-I mean, not bitches! Beautiful, gorgeous, smart, kind, amazing ladies- lady! One lady! Just you!” You cringe as you embarrass yourself in front of the team, proving just how down bad you are for your girl. Hearing the blonde’s soft laugh makes you feel a bit better, though only slightly.
“Wait, sorry, I’m still hung up on the fact that y’all have been dating for 7 months and somehow kept it a secret from us,” Azzi says, still looking baffled. “Yeah, come on twin, how could you not tell me?” Nika whines with a pout.
“Alright! Since clearly everyone has decided that this is more important than practice, let’s call it for today,” Geno says with an annoyed voice, though his eyes twinkle in amusement. The team starts smiling before the older man continues, “Let’s start practice 30 minutes early tomorrow, and you better come prepared because it’s gonna be a hard one!”
The girls immediately deflate, groaning as they throw their heads back. You’re not looking forward to the grueling training, but you can’t really be mad after today. At least practice was done early, meaning you could spend the rest of the day with your girl! Even though you were pretty sure the girls would bombard you with questions, your smile doesn’t leave your face, knowing that the whole interrogation, Paige would be right by your side.

"Pick One Moment"
[Spencer Reid x fem!reader]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Masterlist
Summary: A rough case in Dayton, Ohio brings unexpected emotions to the surface for you, forcing you to confront feelings you'd been hiding for years—feelings for Spencer Reid.
Warnings: Fluff, angst, moment of awkwardness
Word Count: 2.0k words
A/N: just based on the lyric 'And then I go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like I love you...I love you' from the song Something Stupid by Frank Sinatra because it's been stuck in my head. I've been planning to write Spence for a while but I've been intimidated.
Staying professional in Dayton, Ohio proved to be a challenge.
It had been a rough case, but what case wasn't, right? Just have to wrap this one up and you can go back to your house and dog.
Okay, fine, this wasn't like most cases at all, not to you anyway. This one had hit particularly close to home. And you didn't like that one bit.
This made you more short-tempered than usual, even snapping at a witness. After a lengthy lecture from Hotch, I mean from the look on his face you would think you had insulted him, he had 'benched' you by having you go through old files that might be related to the UnSub.
Hey, at least you got to do it with Spencer.
After working with him for so many years, you grew quite fond of him. Too fond maybe.
You stared at him going through files with a speed that should not have been human. 20,000 words at a minute, and you thought you were a fast reader.
"Got anything yet, Boy Genius?" you asked, flipping the page of your own file.
He looked up at you. God those eyes...
"No. This one isn't even related to it." he dropped the file on the table.
"Didn't you read the entire thing?"
"Yes," he replied, "It was interesting."
"You find everything interesting."
"Not true," he protested.
You rubbed your eyes, sighing. "Sure, Spence."
He tilted his head at you, a look of concern on his face. Adorable.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
You considered lying, you had been doing that the entire time you had arrived in Dayton after all, but decided against it. "Not really."
"Is it about your family? I thought this case might bring up some bad memories."
You couldn't help but smile at how quickly he had gotten it. "Yeah, something like that."
"Can I help?"
"Can you make memories go poof?"
He actually seemed to ponder it. "No. I'm not sure why you would want to."
"You never wish that you could just forget the bad stuff?" You knew what he had been through, you had seen quite a bit of it.
His brows furrowed. "I don't like the idea of forgetting anything. I mean, Mom forgets enough so I remember for her too."
You realized your mistake and winced. "Spence... God, sorry."
"It's okay," he reassured you. "You're remembering a dark time in your life, it can be overwhelming. Also explains you snapping at the witness, with your nerves on edge."
"Yeah?" You grinned. "It was going to be Morgan but the asshole left before I could. So collateral damage."
He laughed. "He's outside if you want to insult him now. I don't want to be collateral damage too."
"You? Never."
"Never?"
"Never," you repeated.
Oh, how you loved his lopsided grins. "Thank you."
"Always." If you could pick one moment to live in forever, it probably would've been that one.
Minus JJ coming through the door right then. "We got something."
You wanted to throw a file at her. Instead, you get up with a heavy sigh. The sooner you get this done the better, you had to remember that.
~~~
The BAU was heading back to Washington tomorrow, so you could leave this far far behind. Finally. This case taking up two weeks of your life was enough.
You sat at a cafe next to the hotel where you were staying. It was a cozy little place with a mostly brown interior and warm lighting. The scent of freshly brewed coffee and warm pastries filled the air.
You sipped your drink, feeling the cup's warmth in your hands. You had been coming here for the past few days and you had to admit, you would miss this place.
Just then, the door opened, and in walked someone you recognized, glancing around the room before spotting you. With a smile, Spencer made his way over, pulling out a chair across from you.
"Mind if I join you?" he asked.
You smiled back, gesturing to the seat. "Not at all."
He sat down and looked around. "So this is where you disappear to?"
You hummed in confirmation. "it's a nice place to think."
He stared at you for a while before nodding thoughtfully.
"What?" you sipped your coffee.
"Just... Are you feeling better?"
You shrugged. "Yeah, UnSubs behind bars. What more could I want?"
"Closure," he replied quietly.
You pressed your lips together tightly. "It's fine Spence. I'm alright with it."
"I don't think you are."
"Spencer," you said, a hint of warning in your voice, "You want to help, I get it. But not with this. Okay?"
It was an unspoken thing, the way Spencer always seemed to know when you needed space and when you needed someone to push just a little. He respected your boundaries, but there were moments—like this one—when his concern slipped through the cracks.
He sat across from you in that quiet cafe, watching you. You couldn’t tell if he was waiting for you to speak or if he was just giving you the time to process, as he always did.
It had been a rough case, yes, but that wasn’t why you were still here, staring into your coffee like it held all the answers.
Your eyes flickered up to meet his. He was still staring at you, quietly, as if he could see past your walls.
"Spence," you said, your voice quieter than you intended, "I’m fine. Really."
He didn’t respond immediately. His hand rested on the edge of the table, and you could see him fiddling with his fingers. That subtle nervousness he only ever seemed to show when he wasn’t sure what to say, but he knew he needed to say something.
"I don't believe you," he murmured, his voice soft but insistent. “I’ve seen you too many times to believe that everything’s okay, especially when it’s not. You’ve been holding it in, and I know that—"
"Spencer—" you started, but you were too late. He was already talking over you, his voice getting faster.
"Please. I just want to make sure you're alright, okay?" He sighed, his eyes briefly darting away before looking back at you. “I just... I care about you."
Everything felt very... loud. Too loud.
He looked at you expectantly, almost uncertain. Maybe, just maybe, he was waiting for you to make the first move.
You cleared your throat. God, you really hated moments like this, when everything inside you seemed to tremble at the prospect of just being honest.
His hand shifted on the table, and before you could stop it, you had reached out to touch his fingers. It was the smallest of gestures—barely noticeable—but it was enough.
For a long moment, you simply looked at each other, the conversation hanging in the air. There was so much unspoken between you, so much left unsaid. Maybe that was the problem.
Before you could stop yourself, the words spilled out of you, quicker than you could catch them. "I love you."
Spencer's face went completely still, his eyes wide as he processed your confession.
You had not meant to say that. You didn’t. It was an accident. You weren’t ready. You weren’t ready to put that kind of pressure on this, on him, on whatever this was.
But the words had slipped out anyway. You stared at him, feeling the heat rise in your face, hoping the ground would swallow you up.
"Sorry-God, I'm sorry," you quickly got up and rushed out of the cafe.
He just sits there. Frozen.
If you could pick one moment to rewind, it would be this one.
Oh, you fucked up big time.
~~~
You had never been more ready to get home, but unfortunately, there was an hour and thirty minutes on the private plane. With him.
Usually, you would spend an entire flight, after a case well done, talking to Spence. But after yesterday? But not this time. Maybe not ever.
You could feel Spencer’s presence beside you, but he was quiet. So quiet. Not the usual playful banter, no sudden bursts of random trivia or observations. It was almost like he was giving you space... or maybe he was just too uncomfortable to say anything.
Your eyes flickered to him once, twice, each time hoping for some indication of what he was thinking. He was staring out the window, a far-off look in his eyes, his fingers curled loosely around a book in his lap. For a moment, you almost felt the pull to apologize again, but the last thing you wanted to do was make him feel obligated to comfort you. You had put your foot in it already. Now, it was time to ride this out and pray it didn't become permanently awkward.
But Spencer, as always, was unpredictable.
"You don’t have to apologize," he said, his voice quiet, but it still carried across the cabin, cutting through the engine's hum.
You stiffened, eyes fixed on your lap. Had you been that obvious?
"I wasn’t going to," you said, a little too defensively.
He didn’t respond right away. You could feel him looking at you, the weight of his gaze making you want to curl into yourself.
“You know I care about you, right?” He said it so gently, like he wasn’t sure how you were going to take it.
You felt your chest tighten. Care about you. Those words. He was still speaking, still looking at you, but it was hard to focus on his words because everything was spinning around that one sentence.
"I do," you replied. You had to stop yourself from saying more—there was more you wanted to say, needed to say—but you couldn’t. Not yet. Not until you figured out where your head was at, where you both were at.
Spencer shifted in his seat. He didn’t look hurt, but there was something in the way he held himself. Maybe he was just holding back, afraid to push too hard, afraid of what that push might break.
You finally took a breath and turned to face him. He was still watching you, his expression a mix of concern and... something else. It was the something else that had you questioning everything.
"You don’t have to say anything," you added quickly, "I just...said something stupid. I didn’t mean to make things weird."
Spencer didn’t break his gaze, but a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. Not his usual goofy grin, but something softer. More real. Something... intimate.
"It’s not weird," he said, his voice still quiet, "You’re not the only one who gets nervous around here, you know."
You blinked at him, genuinely confused. "What do you mean?"
His smile flickered, a small laugh escaping him before he adjusted his posture and leaned back in his seat. He seemed less tense, more at ease, "I’m just saying... I’ve had my own share of... feelings. I just didn’t know how to... deal with them."
Your breath caught in your throat. Spencer had feelings? For you?
The question hovered between you like an unspoken truth, but it seemed too risky to ask outright. Instead, you glanced down at your hands, the heat rising in your face.
And then, finally, you said something else, the words coming out quieter than you intended: "Do you think... we can just... forget it happened?"
You almost expected him to shrug it off, to offer a playful remark about how awkward it was or how maybe you'd both laugh about it someday. But he didn’t do that.
"No," he said softly. "I think maybe... we should talk about it. When we’re ready."
Your heart fluttered. Was this... was this him telling you he was ready? That maybe he wanted to figure it out too? Or was this Spencer, as usual, just giving you a window to process everything at your own pace?
You weren’t sure. You weren’t sure of anything. But you couldn’t deny the weight of his words, the connection that had always been there and that seemed to grow stronger the more time you spent together.
"I’m not great at talking about feelings," you admitted, looking over at him sheepishly.
Spencer chuckled softly, a breath of amusement. "Yeah, I’ve noticed."
You gave him a sidelong glance, your lips twitching into a reluctant grin. “Smartass.”
"Hey, you started it," he teased, finally breaking the tension just a little. "And I’ll finish it. But not right now. I think... we both need time to think."
You nodded slowly. He was right. You both needed time. The last thing either of you needed was to make rash decisions while emotions were still running high.
"You’re not mad?" You asked it before you could stop yourself, the doubt creeping in.
"Mad? Why would I be mad?" Spencer’s face was open and sincere.
"I don’t know. I just..." You didn’t finish your sentence. What was there to say? How could you explain the mess of emotions you were still trying to sort out?
He reached out across the seat, almost as if he was testing the waters, and placed a hand gently on yours. The touch was brief, but it sent a spark of warmth through you.
"I’m not mad," he said again, more firmly this time. "Not for that."
You were both quiet for the rest of the flight, but the silence between you felt different—more like an understanding, like a promise that when the time was right, you’d figure it out together.
It wasn't the one moment you would pick to stay in forever, but it was a moment you didn't mind being in for the rest of the flight.

Heyy I was wondering if you could do a fic with Ellie x reader when r is on her period. Ellie doesn’t know, but she’s really hormonal, moody, and lashes out at Ellie. Eventually Ellie connects the dots and is really sweet and understanding and R just breaks down in tears saying stuff like she’s a terrible gf etc. R is also in a lot of pain with cramps and just wants to sleep and Ellie is there for her there too. I love your writing!!
You're ok

Birds were chirping, the sun starting to shine in. You smiled to yourself, this was going to be a good day! Until your legs hit the floor. A wave of blood washes over your uterus. Fuck. No no- was all you could think. You groan, it was always so irregular. It was supposed to come next week. You flop back on the bed, dreading this day already. Curling back up into the sheets. Why today, you planned to do stuff, be productive. It frustrated you how your period could be. Just be normal for God sake.
"Morning baby, I made you some breakfast." You hear your girlfriends voice. You groan in pain, your cramps starting to kick in like crazy, as usual. "Not hungry." Her brows furrow. "Bu-" "I said I'm not hungry." You spit. Her brows furrow more, deciding to leave you alone at your sudden outburst. All you wanted to do was sleep and hope the day speeds up faster.
It infact didn't. The common headache starts, the cramps become more and more. You decided to get up to get some water, moody and annoyed. "You done with whatever this morning was?" "Shut up." You grumble. Exhausted, hair a mess. Her head tilts looking at you in thought. "What it up with you today." You don't reply just wanting to lay in your bed again. She hated seeing you this way. "Hello?" You then go back up the stairs to lay down.
She opens the door a few hours later grabbing a book from the bedside. Noticing you were asleep. She was trying to rack her brain what was bothering you so much, then it clicked. "Period." She whispered. Then her demeanor softens. She felt awful for not noticing. Ellie was smart she pieced it together, she got them too she knows. But she also understood how badly you got yours, especially after you missed last months.
Another hour passes and you're awake again, staring at the ceiling. Your body ached, but your mood certainly changed. You hated how your body made you treat people, your mind all over the place. You look at the clock to check the time. It was way later in the evening. You decided to get up and go see your girlfriend just wanting some comfort after today. But most importantly to apologize, for no real reason as Ellie would say. She was so understanding, always saying that there was no need to apologize. You walk down seeing her watching TV on the couch. "Ells?" You softly say.
Her head turns to look at you. "I'm sorry Ellie, I'm so sorry." - "Hey hey its fine. You're ok." She lifts the blanket. "Come here." And you do, getting under it with her. "Why didn't you tell me when you saw I didn't know yet?" You shrug lightly. "I dunno baby, I'm sorry I've been so awful and evil today." This makes her laugh. "My wicked little moody monster." Your eyes roll with a huge smile. "Youre so silly." Her hand comes in contact with your hair. "How bad have they been?" You sigh and that's enough for her to know that they were bad. "Everything aches." A sad look is present on her features. "I'm sorry angel.
Your body moves closer into her touch loving the warm feeling she gave you. Why couldn't you of just done this, this morning. Instead of lashing out. "Look at me baby." She then says pulling you out if your thoughts. "It's not your fault. It's ok, I understand now, please don't worry about this morning." She saw through you and your mind. You nodded. "We're only human bub." Her soft way made you snuggle into her more. She was truly the best.
"Will you let me take care of you now?" You nod gently. And this makes her smile stick. She loved taking care of you, it filled her with so much joy to be there for the person she loved. "Thank you for being so patient with me." You tell her. She gives you a kiss on the forehead. "I will forever be patient with you, I love you."
"I love you too."
For the rest of that night that's what she did, she made sure you ate. Had something warm on your stomach for the pesky cramps. Ran you a soothing warm bath, for the whole of your aching body. And the cuddliest cuddles to end of a horrible day.

a/n: so i’m back??? ik i haven’t written anything in a long time but umm here i am!!!

A frustrated sigh escaped your lips as you wiped down the counter for the fourth time that night, scrubbing at a stubborn stain while silently cursing your job for the thousandth time. The endless mess, the sticky floors, and the clinging stench of stale alcohol on your clothes were bad enough. But the worst part? The relentless parade of truck-stop regulars: sloppy drunks who flirted too aggressively and looked at you as though you were just another item on the menu.
You tucked a stray strand of hair behind your ear, trying to brush away something that had dried on the counter, when the bell rang on the other side of the bar. You looked up to see a rather attractive guy approaching the bar. It was almost one in the morning, so the place was mostly deserted aside from a few regulars. Once he was closer to the light you changed your mind; a very attractive guy.
Throwing the dirty towel over your shoulder you took a deep breath before walking over to the handsome stranger. “What can I serve you?” You smiled, leaning on the bar. He looked down at you and you felt the air catch in your lungs. He had the most amazing green eyes. You were used to seeing new faces every day, but none like his. He smiled, seemingly checking you out as his eyes traveled through your face, answering the question.
“Just a beer, please” he replied, his voice deep and rough, like a low roll of thunder.
It wasn’t just his voice that threw you off. The way he looked at you, his gaze lingering as though he saw more than just a tired bartender, made your cheeks warm. Why was someone like him in a place like this at nearly 1 am?
“Coming right out” you responded, almost breathlessly. You were hyper-aware of his presence, the way his gaze followed you as you moved. Diverting your attention from that beautiful stranger, you served him the beer. Still smiling like an idiot. Your hands trembled slightly as you set the beer down in front of him, and when your eyes met his again, he smiled. A small, crooked smile that made your stomach flutter.
“Thanks,” he said, his voice softer this time, like he didn’t want to break the moment.
Before you could respond, a voice you knew all too well cut through the quiet.
“Hello darling,” Sighing and closing your eyes, you walked up to the drunk guy who was here seven days a week, flirting constantly with you. “What do you want, Carl?” you asked, your voice sharp.
“Wow, I don't think that's the way to talk to your best client,” he growled drunkenly. His breath reeked of bourbon, or maybe whiskey. You honestly couldn't tell, not that you cared.
“Are you going to order something else or are you finally going to get your ass out of here?” You exploded, not having the energy for this.
“I've always liked my women feisty”, he winked at you and a shiver of disgust passed through you. “What would it take for you to go out on a date with me?”
“‘M sorry, but for the thousandth time, I’m not really interested. Now please excuse me, but I need to get back to work,” walking to the idiot's left to clear another table, he grabbed your wrist. It was quite a rough grab and you knew it would leave a mark. You were whipped to face him and tried to hide the fact that you were terrified. He was drunk, strong and almost a foot taller than you.
“I don’t understand why you don’t just go out with me, I mean, you’re just a sleazy bar slut and it’s not like many other people want you” Carl growled, not looking away from your eyes. You tried to appear tough but the situation was getting scary. That’s when someone stepped in the middle of you too, breaking his hold on your wrist.
“Why don't you do us all a favor, apologise to the lady and get your ass out of here?” A deep voice said calmly. You recognized the voice, but you weren't sure who the person was until you looked over to where the green-eyed stranger was sitting. He was gone, well he wasn't gone, he was defending you.
Carl scoffed. “Yeah, like I owe any of you anything. A bitch and an idiot who’s fighting with someone on one foot-” he didn't get to finish. He was interrupted by the attractive stranger twisting the drunk’s arm, which resulted in a scream from the victim. He jerked his arm away and ran out of the bar.
You found yourself laughing after he left. After a few months, someone finally got that idiot to leave. Speaking of which, you finally got a better look at the stranger as he turned around, still quite close to you. The light nape of the neck that covers a sharp jaw, the perfect smile hidden behind full lips. Not to mention the eyes. Oh my god, those eyes made you melt.
“Are you alright?" he asked, much less intimidating. You realized he was looking at you and instinctively looked at the ground.
“Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. Thank you,” you murmured, feeling your cheeks flush. Then, he gently grabbed your wrist, which was already forming a bruise, and ran his fingers over your skin. Every second you were in contact with him, sparks broke out on your skin. You both looked at each other, staring into each other's eyes. Losing yourself in his eyes once again, you were glad he spoke.
“Dean,” he said breathlessly. “That’s my name,” he added after seeing the confusion in your eyes. “What’s yours?”

HELLISH . AFLIE SOLOMONS
Tumblr media
summary: alfie's secretary makes the decision to marry, it's a shame her prospective husbands seem to disappear after one meeting warnings: angst, violence, swearing, jealousy, threats, borderline stalking honestly, muderous thoughts, unedited, unrequited love word count: 3.5k a/n: i've been away for a while bc life is hard. i wanted to write a little alfie story not related to the 'home series' and came up with whatever this is so i hope you enjoy. i'm working on a taglist, so if you would like to be included, lmk <3 also lmk if you'd like a part 2 to this, i've already cooked something up!
She had known Alfie Solomons for about three years, and they had been friends since they had met.
Two years into their strange friendship, she had been sacked from her job as a secretary for an Italian businessman, he didn't say why he suddenly decided he didn't require her services, but they both knew. Tensions were rising between the Jewish quarter and Italian quarter in Camden, and everybody was sticking to their own side of town.
When she had told Alfie about it, he had offered her a job immediately - the rising tensions were partly his fault anyways.
Her mother had not been happy when her daughter came home with news she would be working for Alfie Solomons, but when she saw the stack of notes Mr Solomons had given as a 'pay advance', she warmed to the idea.
It was easy work. He had his men for the nitty-gritty stuff, she merely typed up Alfie's ramblings and sent threatening telegrams to people - it was easier than any legitimate job she had ever had, and it paid better, too.
She would often have lunch with Ollie, Alfie's second in command if you wanted to call him that. She was allowed a longer lunch than he was, Ollie wasn't supposed to have a lunch break at all, but if she were talking to him, it was rare they would be interrupted, unless there was an urgent matter to attend to.
Ollie was a good gossip, better than any of the other men in the bakery, Alfie excluded. But, unlike Alfie, Ollie had no interest in her, sexually or romantically, so she enjoyed the time she could spend talking to him, discussing rumours or chatting about their lives outside of work without it turning into something else within minutes.
"Do you think he'll let me leave an hour early?" She asked from where she was perched on the man's desk, swinging her feet back and forth.
"He'd let you leave now if you asked," Ollie replied, rolling his eyes at the girl. It was true, Alfie would probably still pay her if she didn't show up, he'd let her release a group of pigs in his office if she wanted to.
"He's in a mood, though."
"He's always in a mood."
"Not as bad as this," she pointed to their boss' office, where the blinds were pulled up, showing his figure stomping around the small room, throwing pieces of paper and trinkets onto the ground.
"Fuck," she sighed as a loud crash was heard, though they couldn't see what had bared the brunt of the man's rage from their seats.
"Maybe reschedule?" Ollie offered, his eyes not leaving the glass window of Alfie's office.
"I'm just going to ask him," she planted her feet on the ground, ignoring Ollie's protests. "The worst he can do is say no," she shrugged, walking towards the office door.
"That is not the worst he can do," he called after her in an urgent whisper.
She didn't knock when she entered, she never had, and she wasn't about to start now.
A book flew past her face when she stepped inside, and she quickly stepped to the side, it hitting the wall behind her and falling to the floor.
"What did...that Russian book ever do to you?" She asked, and his head snapped up to look at her, his eyes wide.
"Shit, sorry 'bout that, love," he sighed, wiping a hand over his face but she waved him off, moving to sit in one of the chairs at his desk.
"Bad day?"
"Better now," he winked at her, and she rolled her eyes playfully. "What do you want?"
"I want to leave an hour early," she offered him a wary smile, clasping her hands together pleadingly.
"You fuckin' what?"
"Please, Alfie-" she started, but he was up from his seat before she could finish her sentence, pacing up and down the cramped office with his hands on his hips. "It's only an hour, and I'm not doing anything anyway."
"You're not doing anything?" his eyebrows raised as he turned to face her. "You're really admitting that to your boss?"
"Please, Alfie," she stood up, taking a few steps towards him. "I never ask you for anything."
She scowled at the obnoxious laugh he let out in response.
"Never ask me for anything?" his voice raised an octave to mock her. "A pay advance that you still haven't paid back," he help up a finger as he counted. "A weekday off so you can go shopping when it's less crowded, a bonus so you can get your mum a birthday present, a day off when your fucking cat died," he stepped towards her. "Asking me to come to it's fucking funeral."
"You said it was a lovely service," she placed a hand on her chest in offense.
"You know what?" he sighed, rubbing a hand up and down his face. "Just fuck off, yeah?"
"Really?" She smiled, clapping her hands.
"But you will come in an hour early tomorrow to make up for it, or so help me God, I will come to your house and drag you here myself."
It was an empty threat, and they both knew it.
"Thank you, Alfie." She reached to place a kiss on his cheek, not taking offense when he reached to wipe his cheek when she pulled away, already opening the door to leave. "I'll see you bright an early tomorrow."
She couldn't make out what he grumbled after her.
Alfie waited until she had left the bakery to slink out of his office, approaching Ollie's desk, and tapping on it with his knuckles.
"Why'd she want to leave early?" he asked his assistant, not missing the way the younger man sunk down in his seat.
"I don't want to tell you," Ollie replied, sheepishly.
"Ollie," Alfie warned.
"She's meeting up with someone?"
"Ollie."
"A man. She's meeting up with a man, her mum's friend's son or something. Think she's looking to settle down, you know?"
Alfie hummed, a hand coming up to rub his beard. "Interesting," he mumbled, walking back to his office, landing a smack to Ollie's head as he passed.
Her suitor had been a perfect gentleman. Jacob had taken her to a fancy club in a nicer part of London, had bought her dinner and drinks without grumbling about the prices, and had dropped her off at home with a kiss on the cheek and a promise to take her out again the following weekend.
She hadn't thought a man her mother had set her up with would be particularly charming, but she had been proven wrong, the stupid smile she wore on her face all week being proof of that.
She had been thinking of settling down for a while. All of her childhood friends were married with several children at this point, and she didn't miss the sympathetic looks they would give her when she told them she was still unmarried, still childless, and still working.
Marriage was always something she thought would come naturally -as it seemed to do with everyone else around her - but years rolled by and she was still no closer to the life that had seemed so easily achievable when she was young. So, she had decided to take matters in her own hands, informing her mother and everyone else she could that she was ready to marry, and asking them to let her know if they knew a boy they thought would be a good match.
And, she thought she had found the good match on her first try, but when the week after her date rolled on, and there was no word from Jacob, she realised how stupid she had been.
She had been moodier than ever that week, stomping around the bakery with a scowl on her face, smacking the keys of her typewriter harder than necessary, and barely speaking two words to whoever approached her.
She was not dealing with the rejection well.
So, when a handsome worker - who she recalled was named James -- passed her desk, offering a confident smile as he did, she wasted no time.
She wandered into Alfie's office with her hands clasped behind her back, swaying slightly as she waited for him to look up from the papers on his desk.
"What?" He asked, still reading the scribbles on the page.
"Didn't know you'd taken new people on," she shrugged nonchalantly, keeping her tone light and unbothered.
"And? What about it?"
"I don't know," she shrugged again, stepping further into his office. "Just a lot of new faces around here,"
Alfie groaned, dropping the papers from his hand and removing the glasses he wore from his face. "Since when do you care about new faces?"
"I don't," she laughed defensively. "I was just wondering about one of them, is all."
"You were just wondering about one of them," Alfie's eyebrows rose, and he leaned back in his seat, crossing his arms. "What were you wondering about?"
"I mean...maybe some background..."
"Like what? His favourite fucking book? The fuck you expect me to know?"
"I was just wondering, that's all," she held her hands up in defense, and her boss' eyes squinted at her words.
"I thought you were already seein' someone, that is why you left early a couple weeks ago, ain't it?"
"Who the fuck told you that?"
"Don't matter," Alfie offered her a smile. "Didn't work out or something..."
"No, it didn't," she huffed. "So...about James..." she trailed off, waiting for Alfie to step in, but he merely offered her a blank look. "Alfie," she whined, stomping her foot against the floor."
"Don't know 'im. Sorry, love," he waved a hand dismissively.
"Fine," she spun on her heel, storming out of his office. "I'll find out myself."
James was lovely. She had 'bumped' into him when she was leaving, and it hadn't taken him long to offer to take her out for drinks when he finished his shift, which she had accepted with a grateful smile.
He had met her outside of the local pub near the 'bakery', it wasn't a particularly nice establishment, but the lager was cheap, and she supposed he didn't have the money to spend in a fancy club like Jacob had - not with the pittance she was sure Alfie was paying him.
He was funny, and quite respectful in comparison with some of his colleagues. He had asked her questions about her interests, had shared his own, and she was delighted that they seemed to have quite a bit in common.
They had ended the night at her door, with chaste kiss, and another promise to go out again the following week, and she had closed the door with a grin on her face.
"See you at work tomorrow," he had said as he walked away.
When she arrived to work the next morning, the same grin still on her face, she couldn't stop her eyes scanning the floor as she walked to her desk, desperately trying to seek out James, but, when she couldn't find him, she had shrugged it off.
Maybe he was ill or something.
It was now Thursday. Her date with James had been on Monday, and there had been no sign of him ever since.
It was hard not wonder, had something bad happed to him? Had he been hiding every time he saw her walking through the distillery? Had he been so repulsed by her that he had quit his job just to avoid seeing her again?
The thoughts had consumed her all week, and they had affected her mood significantly. Unlike with Jacob, where she had been an angry force at work, she was now forlorn, barely speaking to anybody, and zoning out of conversations with a vacant look on her face.
It was starting to worry her boss, who spent longer than appropriate watching her from his office window.
He had called her into the office that afternoon, watching as she walked seemingly in a daze, her eyes were duller, and he face appeared more sunken.
She didn't say anything when she took a seat at his desk, nor did she meet his eyes when he said her name.
"You alright?" he had asked, his tone more concerned than he wanted it to be.
"Wonderful," she replied, her voice flat, fiddling with a thread on her skirt.
"You've been wandering 'round like a ghost for the past week, love. What's goin' on with ya? Please don't tell me another fucking cat died."
She huffed a laugh that was clearly fake, still fiddling with the thread when she responded. "I think I'm unmarriable, Alfie."
Alfie's shoulder's straightened at her words, leaning his arms on his desk, he studied her face, watching as she blinked away the tears that were beginning to pool in her eyes. "The fuck are you talking about?"
"Two men in two weeks, Alfie. I have gone out with two men in two weeks and they have both disappeared...literally disappeared, I haven't seen them since."
Her eyes lifted from her dress to meet his, and Alfie was struck by how sad she looked. He had never thought she would be this upset by a couple of boys not getting back to her after one night.
"That's silly, love," he sighed. "It don't mean nothin'"
"Yeah," she scoffed, "it does."
He considered telling her in that moment, he truly did. A better man would have, would have confessed right then and there.
A better man would have told her that they had cornered Jacob after he had dropped her off at her door. How he had almost certainly broken the young man's nose before he had a chance to blink, how he had had his men hold the boy by the shoulders while he whispered a warning in his ear.
"Stay away from her."
He really should have told her that he had turned up at James' shitty flat on Monday night, waiting for the man to return from his date with her. That his worker's body had began to shake when he saw his boss leaning against his front door, his arms crossed against his chest and a cold look in his eye.
"Have to let you go, son," Alfie had said. "A worker that is more concerned about fucking my secretary isn't one I want workin' with me."
James had begun to splutter a reply, but Alfie was already heading for the stairs.
"Best you stay away from her, yeah?"
It hadn't been a question.
He really should have told her, but he didn't. Instead, he had sighed and rose from his seat, moving into the empty chair beside her.
"You ain't unmarriable, woman," he told her, patting her shoulder. "You just chose two fuckin' idiots."
"Whatever you say, Alfie," she said, standing up and walking out of the office without another word.
He should have confessed, but he didn't. He did, however, promise himself he would not get involved in her personal life anymore. The next man she met, would not have to face a threat from Alfie Solomons.
She had been leaving her home to go to work when she had ran into Elijah on the street. He had chased after her, holding an envelope in his hands, waving it frantically when she finally turned around when she heard the stranger's voice calling after her.
"I think you dropped this," he handed her the envelope, and she breathed a sigh of relief when she took it from his hands.
"Oh, thank you," she laughed. "My boss would have murdered me if I lost it."
He had laughed at her words, not realising she wasn't exactly joking about her boss.
"I'm Elijah," he held out a hand, which she took with a smile.
"He's really nice, Ollie," her words were muffled as they travelled into Alfie's office, and he had to press his ear closer to the door to be able to hear her clearly. "A real gentleman."
'A real gentleman.'
Alfie rolled his eyes, 'gentleman' was just another word for a soft prick.
"We're going out again tonight," she told her friend. "Said he has a surprise for me."
"What do you think it is?" Ollie asked her, and Alfie rolled his eyes again. Ollie was worse than a fucking twelve year old girl.
"I mean we've been seeing each other for a while, he's met my family, I've met his..." she trailed off, and Ollie's gasp was clear as day from where Alfie was standing.
"You think he's going to propose?"
And just like that, Alfie's heart dropped to his stomach. He tore his ear from the wall, storming back to his desk, dropping to the seat with a heavy thud.
Of course Elijah was going to propose, of fucking course. She had been seeing him for the better part of four months, and she spent every waking minute talking about the nice doctor, it was natural that his was how it was going to progress.
He regretted not cornering Elijah on is way to work the moment she had mentioned his name, regretted not giving him the same treatment he gave the two men that came before him. He should have, should have twisted the man's arm behind his back until he was crying like a little girl, should have had his men hold him down while he kicked him in his ribs until blood came out of his mouth, he should have put the barrel of his gun to his head an pulled the trigger.
But to what end?
She was a good girl. She wanted to get married, have a few children and take care of the house while her husband was at work.
Alfie couldn't offer her that.
Everything he could offer her, he already had. He had given her protection, a stable income, and some form of friendship. He could never give her what she truly craved. He knew that, no matter his feelings for her - feelings he didn't understand himself - he couldn't give her the life she deserved.
And that thought made him sick.
The room was too hot for him to sit in any longer. Alfie pushed through the crowd of people, shoving them harder than necessary until he reached the door, the sound of music and laughter fading as the heavy door closed behind him.
He took a seat on a damp wooden bench, his head dropping in his hands.
It had been a lovely ceremony, a bit small, and a bit cheap for his tastes, but she had managed to make it lovely anyways.
He stood when she entered, her parents on either side of her, walking her to the end of the aisle.
She didn't spare Alfie a glance, too busy looking ahead - looking at him. The bitterness twisted in his stomach and it took all the self control he possessed to keep a neutral look on his face.
Elijah met her at the end of the aisle, taking her hand and helping her up the little steps, a sickening smile on his face.
Alfie didn't miss the sympathetic glance Ollie, who was beside him, threw him.
"Not enjoying the party?" her voice was as sweet as anything, full of happiness.
"Weddings ain't really my thing, love," he offered her a smile, it dropping as quickly as it came.
"But this isn't just any wedding, Alfie," she said, taking a seat next to him. "It's mine, you should be happy."
"Why is that?"
"You've finally gotten rid of me," she laughed, nudging his shoulder with hers. "You don't have to pay me to sit around and do nothing all day, should save you a bit of money."
Alfie didn't laugh with her, a bitter smile on his face as he looked down at his hands.
"Oh don't tell me you're sad about me leaving?" her voice held nothing but humour and Alfie wanted to scream at her.
How can you be so blind?
Can't you see I love you?
"Nah, I'm just upset it took this long," he said eventually, rising from his seat, patting her on the shoulder as did. "I'm gonna head out, but congratulations, love. You look very beautiful."
Her eyes softened at his words, her smile widening from where she was sat, looking up at him, her eyes sparkling.
He didn't have time to react when she shot up from her seat, throwing her arms around his shoulders and pulling him closer to her.
"You're the best friend I could have asked for, Alfie," she whispered, placing a kiss on his cheek.
"Yeah, well," he cleared his throat, pulling her arms away from his shoulders and taking a step back. "Fuck off, now. You're missing your own wedding you stupid woman."
She laughed, nodding her head and disappearing back into the building before Alfie could blink, leaving him frozen in place, the bitterness that once consumed him being replaced by what felt like an all-encompassing sadness.
'The best friend I could have asked for."
What a fucking joke that was.

Date me? —(Ron Weasley xGN!Reader)
A/N: I never write for my boy it's time I change that. Will do a part two if most of you ask for it leaving a comment or reblogging! -Danny Summary: Lazy afternoon with your friend who you're definitely not crushing on. Words: 821
Warnings: This is basically a 'hear me out' one-shot between friends Twoidiots Masterlist

You could always count on Ron to have the best treats. You could also always count on him when you wanted to sit around and do nothing. Today, you two have decided to do nothing in the common room.
Hermione had gone off with Neville and Hannah Abbott to finish some extra work only they would be eager to finish on a Sunday, and Harry was somewhere in the castle with Ginny, which left the two of you with little to do, not that you were complaining.
"What if the Giant has a nice complexion?"
"I'm still not shagging the giant, Y/N," Ron snorted. You had been going at this 'what if' game for hours, first starting with classmates you knew, but now you'd moved on to more... particular options.
"Okay, but what if it's one of the smaller giants?"
"Would still break a leg trying to get it on," Ron laughed. "I'm not shagging a giant, I'm telling you."
"Ron, you're not playing the game right! It's not about being realistic, you just wonder about it sometimes, no need to explain. For example, my pick is Mer-people."
"They're not a bad pick, everyone has thought of it!"
You laugh. "No, they don't! You're just as mental as me!"
"Fine! You want mental, I'll give you mental," Ron's ears blushed a little but he kept talking anyway. "I think if I had to pick, I'd go with Dementors."
You hold back a laugh and answer in a shaky voice. "Is the mo—?"
"Their mouth is huge!" Ron nods, finishing your sentence.
You cackle, holding your stomach. Ron watches you with mirth, also laughing. When the amusement subsides, you wipe your tears and sit up. "Well, but that's almost like doing it with a corpse, isn't it? Aren't dementors like dead people?"
"I have no idea and I don't wish to find out. Besides, you said being realistic spoils the fun."
"True. Sorry to bring it up." You grin.
Ron chuckled, popping a piece of hard candy into his mouth before replying. "I've got another question."
"Shoot!"
"If you had to pick one of us —one of us four, I mean— which one would you date?"
You roll your eyes. "Oh, come on, Ronald, are we circling back to sleepover inquires? That's not even half as fun!"
"Answer the question and I'll go back to the weird ones, then!"
"Fine," you ponder. "Definitely not Harry, he's too thick to understand when someone is flirting with him..."
"All of us are," Ron snorts.
"Well, yeah, but he's the worst," you grin. "And he would find a way to make it awkward anyway, you know he's always reacting in the weirdest ways..."
"Fair enough. That leaves 'Mione and I."
"Well, dating you would mean I would be paying for all the food you ate at our dates, which isn't my idea of fun..."
"Oi! I would have some control, and I wouldn't be letting you pay for everything!" He argues.
"Ah yes, I suppose you'd tip," you tease him. He throws the wrapper of his candy at you, making you chortle. Then you continue to ponder, making a face. "Ah, but then Hermione would never have time for me, would she? It's all school and S.P.E.W., and I have the feeling she'd forget our dates constantly so I'd be basically a fixture on the wall..."
"So it's back to me, then," he smiled with clear satisfaction. "I knew you'd pick me. I'm the looks of this operation."
You snort. "Alright, so who would you pick?"
"Well, can't date Harry because I wouldn't steal my sister's boyfriend, she'd kill me."
"Very wise."
"So I would date you."
You blinked, surprised by his quick decision-making. "What about Hermione?"
"Well, it's like you said, I would only be taking up space in her schedule, and we'd bicker all the time, not that I'd be any better at remembering dates and stuff, but let's face it, I do need attention."
"And you think I'm the right call for that?" You smirked, trying not to sound or look as pleased as you felt.
"Definitely." He mirrored your expression. "You do it all the time already, you come to me when you're looking to have a fun time, so that's something to consider, isn't it?"
"Hm," you nodded pensively. "I s'ppose you're right. Well, how nice of us to pick each other," you joked, trying to rid of the funny feeling in your tummy by playing it down.
"Reckon so, yeah," Ron's smile softened, which only made the butterflies in your stomach go even crazier.
You grabbed a chocolate frog and stuffed it in your mouth, needing to do something other than stare at him. "So," you chew messily. "Harry's life is on the line and you have to french-kiss Umbridge to save him. Would you do it?"
Ron gawked. "Can I do the giant instead?"

OBEY ME! Dateables x Reader
Characters: 《°•[ Solomon , Simeon , Diavolo , Barbatos...]•°》
Summary: 《°•[ Cooking with them!]•°》
Warnings: 《°•[ Fluff, Solomon wanting to cook.]•°》
Tumblr media Tumblr media
With Solomon, cooking isn’t easy. He is a free spirit, curious, and itching to try different combinations with a smile on his face, be it potions or spells, or cooking. Thankfully, he is powerful enough to fix those failed experiments and let it be a learning experience for him, except when he is tasked (himself) to cook. He tries, fails, and just accepts it as perfection, never learning his lesson, never improving. You don’t have the heart to tell him to not join you in the kitchen since he seems to genuinely love cooking for people, however, sometimes he really tests your patience.
Like right now, as he tries, once again, to add some sort of weird ingredient to the pot. Something that DEFINITELY doesn't belong in a human dish…Or any realm's dish for that matter.
“Oh, you caught me.”
“Put that down.” you warned him with a stern voice, Solomon just smiled while slowly lowering the thing, “Not in the pot!” you yelled, barely managing to stop him before he added his ‘touch’ to the meal, “Solomon, what did we talk about?”
Solomon frowned, “I know, it just…” sighing as he glanced at the book, reading the instructions again, “The recipe seems so boring.”
“It’s a soup recipe.”
He dramatically sighed again and stepped back, putting the “ingredient” he was going to add back into his pocket, making you wonder what it even was. Your thoughts were quickly interrupted by him wrapping his arms around your waist from behind and resting his cheek on your shoulder, “Sorry, I promise I won't try to add any DemonFlower Eyeball into it.”
“Just don't add anything!”
“Okay okay,” he laughs, “Only human stuff, got it.”
A smile formed on your lips after hearing his voice next to your ear, a gentle and calm tone. Ready to do anything you requested from him. For now.
After all, even though Solomon is a free spirit, his love for you makes him come back down to earth. If it is you who tells him to follow the recipe, then he will. And surprisingly enough, he isn’t a bad cook once he stops his ways of…adding things.
He fetches you some ingredients then stands next to you, waiting for your instructions (since you sadly don't trust him much to do anything on his own). You finished rather quickly and ready the bowls. Both of you sit on the table and Solomon takes his first sip, “And here I thought I was the teacher in our relationship. It seems I have a lot to learn from you too.” he says as a genuine smile graces his lips.
“Hm? Why do you say that?”
“This tastes delicious.”
“It's a simple dish.” you say, a little confused by his low tone, and the far away look in his eyes.
“It's been forever since I've eaten any human world food,” his smile never leaves his face, “It may be a simple dish but that is what makes it so special. Thank you for the food.”
Tumblr media
Simeon is someone who enjoys cooking, not as much as Luke perhaps, but he is still okay at it. For him, trying new recipes every now and then, helping Luke around is something of a routine at this point. Cooking in general has always been a job he needed to do, until his view changed quickly when you decided to enter the kitchen with him. The angel then quickly realized that cooking can also be fun and engaging too.
If you are around that is.
Tonight, you had a craving for some human world food. Luke asked to try some too so you decided to get to work and Simeon offered to help.
“So, where do we start?-” he is suddenly stopped by your arms wrapping around him and completely stops moving for a moment, however he gently hugs you back.
“Simeon?” you ask in confusion, “What are you doing?”
Simeon slightly pulls back, only to realize you were just tying the apron around him, “Oh.” he smiles gently, while mentally hitting himself on the head and pulls back, “I thought you wanted a hug.”
“Maybe later, now let's get to work!”
Simeon is out of his usual attire and wearing something more comfortable instead, with an apron tied to his waist thanks to you.
He listens to what you want to make and what he can do. (Un)fortunately he usually finishes his work pretty fast and then tries to take over yours to help which you refuse. Giving him another, much more simple task and while he does that Simeon often starts to ramble.
“...Would it be rude of me to say that I like how human ingredients are so normal?”
“Compared to what?”
“Anything from Devildom really...” Simeon can't help but look guilty, it feels like he is insulting the whole Devildom himself, a place most of his friends consider a home, but he can't help it, “At least these don't try to attack us.”
“Oh, that's true,” you almost let out a chuckle at how nervous Simeon seems as he chops tomatoes, probably imagining them starting a fight, “What about Celestia?”
“Celestia? Well, hm…” his hands pause for a moment as he gets lost in thought, “They are…Okay? Though, some of them are…Too much.”
You aren't really sure what Simeon means by ‘Too much.’ but decide not to ask about it as he seems annoyed. A memory of an energetic cucumber crossed his mind, perhaps?
“I'm glad you like our normal and boring tomatoes then.”
Simeon laughs nervously, “Yeah, I like it, especially since they don't grow legs and run around.” he turns to you with a smile, “So, we can just focus on making the food and enjoy talking like this.”
Even after the food was finished and the three of you sat down to enjoy the food Simeon can't help but ask you to teach him more human world recipes, “Luke enjoyed it.” he says. Hoping you don't notice how he just wants to spend time with you.
Tumblr media
“You want me to make a human world dish?”
“No.” you shake your head, “We are going to make it together, Barbatos.”
Barbatos smiles, when people come to him they always have requests. For example, Beelzebub. The young devil always says he wants to eat his cooking, or use the big kitchen at the palace for a new dish. No one ever came to him and asked to cook together since it was usually his job alone to do, he is a butler after all.
“Alright. However, I don't know the dish you want to make, so…” he can't help but chuckle a little as he bows his head, “Please treat me kindly.”
His words are a complete lie though, Barbatos may not know how the recipe goes but he can tell what needs to be added. He is a great cook, and so graceful while he does the work. He is pretty quick too so the food is almost done already.
“Hmm…” after taking a small sip from the pot you can't help but think that something is missing, it tastes good but it could be better you think, so you turn to your helper, as he likes to call himself, “Barbatos, what do you think of this?”
He casually takes the spoon you hold for him and hums, “It's great, but how about adding some bay leaf?”
“...Bay leaf? We have that?”
“I do, I sometimes use it.” he walks up to a random cabinet and pulls out a jar, “It goes well in foods that need to be cooked for a long period of time. You just need to take it out after it's done.”
“Huh. So, you use human world ingredients in your cooking?”
“Only when you are around,” you watch as Barbatos adds two leaves into the pot, “It's amusing to see your reaction when you eat what I cook for you.”
“That's why they taste so familiar!?”
Barbatos innocently smiles at you, “Don't forget to stir, dear. Or would you like me to take over?”
“Barbatos, don't tell me you actually have been making me human food that looks like Devildom food.”
“I thought the familiar taste would make you happy.”
“...That's kind. Thank you.” you smile, but then squint your eyes at him, “You sure there's nothing else…?”
Barbatos doesn't say anything as he starts cleaning around the kitchen, picking up the things you've used and no longer need.
Of course there's another reason why he secretly cooks human dishes for you. It's so you can visit him, compliment him and ask for him. It's a selfish reason. However, for someone like him it's not surprising. He is a demon, and when it comes to your time and attention, he selfishly wants it all.
Tumblr media
You are asking the prince, the future ruler of Devildom to cook with you, a human dish? And he agrees with a laugh? If anyone heard this, they would be thinking the Devildom is coming to an end. His butler however, can't help but think Diavolo agreed without hesitation only because it's you and only because it's a way to escape from his duties. Considering the prince has never touched an utensil in his life, it is weird to see that he seems so confident.
His confidence, however, quickly shaders as he accidentally pushes on the tomato too much while trying to chop it and makes a mess. Covering your aprons and walls with tomato seeds and juices.
He turns to you and smiles, “Have I ever told you that you look good in red?”
You scoff but can't help as a smile grows on your face, “Yes, usually when I'm in a red outfit, not when in a red mess.”
“Small details.” he laughs, but a sigh leaves him as he looks down at the chopping board, “I didn't think they would be so soft and delicate.”
“Don't blame the tomatoes.” when he turns his sad eyes towards you, you wave your hands around quickly, a feeling of guilt settling in, “Don't blame yourself either, accidents happen in kitchens! We can still use it.”
“That's great! Then I'll continue with the cutting,” he says, smiling again, “I'll be more careful from now onl.”
Diavolo may not have a lot of experience in the kitchen, no matter which realm the food is from, but he still finds his own failures fun. Laughing when he accidentally drops the salt shaker in the pan or when he almost burns himself. As a prince he never had mishaps in the kitchen before.
It's new, it's entertaining.
“Thank you for helping me.” you can't help but look at the bandages around his fingers, “Even though it was kind of a disaster.”
Diavolo laughs as he searches for the plates,”No no, thank you! This was a lot of fun. And we get to taste the fruit of our labor too!” he finally finds the right cabinet, “And I'm always happy to learn about the things you enjoy, like this dish.”
He might still have a lot of papers to read and sign but every once in a while he goes into the kitchen to cook the recipe he learned from you. He is extra careful while making it if he is making it for you but is more care free if it's only for himself. He also eats it when he misses you when you are unable to visit him, the same human world dish brings comfort to him as he imagines it bringing comfort to you.

Hello! :D
I've been thinking about Sebek a lot lately, especially in time travel au's, and I was wondering what you would think of an au where it was after the malleus overblot, but during the hypothetical grim one. Like in an au where he and the first years are close and they all use their powers or magic to send him back in time. Maybe it was his unique magic...
Either wAY The other first years should somehow get sent back in time too, just a little later than him so they can all basically rub it in how much closer they are to him than the Dia3.
sorry- just had to release the Sebek thoughts somewhere...
Love your writing btw :)
Hiiiii
Hehe thank you and sorry for late reply exams are beating me up🌝
Anyway, I love love love timetravel aus. Especially when you take a character like Sebek who has so muchhhh room fpr character growth/development. Like you best believe Sebek from the start and post Malleus overblot are two different people. (Not really but you catch my drift)
Also, the idea of it being part of his unique magic is interesting because from what we do know he basically becomes like lightning. Which for time travel could be an interesting concept (travel at speed of light, time warping as a result etc etc) so that could be something to play around with. (For example instead of being on purpose maybe Sebek, in a moment of desperation uses his unique magic like that unknowingly and just throws himself into the past??)
As for first years getting sent back too, this could go one of two ways with them: the residue from Sebeks Unique Magic somehow also sends them back OR they do some stupid stuff and somehow go barreling head first into the past. (Or for angst death??? Idk could add a bit of interesting twists if the first years heavily jaded go back into the past and see a slightly less jaded Sebek. Funnier if they assume this is first year Sebek NOT time travelled so they act like some overprotective bodyguards eyeing up Dia3 like enemies).
If following that route I think it would be interesting if Dia3 and first years have a stupid misunderstanding. Sebek after timetravel obviously acts differently to his pre time travel self. Dia 3 assumes this is due to the influence of the first years (bullying, being bad influences etc etc). Whilst the first years see Sebek being all melancholy like and immediately assume it's the fault of Dia3.
However, if we roll with the more lighthearted option I deffo think first years would be all smug about how well they know Sebek. Silver wants to hang out with Seb? Too bad he already promised to go watch Aces basketball match (que smug grin). Lillia wants Sebek to try his cooking? Too bad Jack dragged him out for training. Malleus needs something? The prefect and Grimm called him over for his help with something.
The absolute smugness from the first years would be hilarious trust. I'm even thinking it spreads to the dorms, any dorm with first years just accepts that the new firsties are oddly close (trauma bonded but whatever).
Lowk I just want the first years to mention furure inside jokes that Dia 3 have no knowledge of and for Sebek to just bust out laughing. Like surely '_____' isn't that funny.

I can't stress enough how this Fandom can be fxcking stupid so I'll take advantage of it to make a brief analysis
TikTok is back at it with being extremely gullible
Tumblr media
people seriously believe this is Koyoharu Gotōge's official account. a quick glance would debunk it immediately, but if we wanna look into details there are mainly 3 things that are really obvious and they all piss me off SO bad:
1) they posted fanart. literal fanart, without consent, of course, and without any credits, badly cropped and filtered too. I couldn't see signatures in most of them, but I recognized some art styles and overall it's easy to spot non-official art when you also follow Ufotable's official account. from which, by the way, this fake account takes all of the content they post, then they write a silly and pseudo-cool caption and that's literally it. what's the point? one of the captions said something that quite fucking literally made me want to scream, joking about Shinobu possibly being Tengen's 4th wife because there was a pic in which their VAs were standing close....what. Gotōge would never say that???
2) they reply to fans, which isn't bad per se but let's be SO fr...and it's not even the worst part.
3) said replies include misinformation. saw them saying Masachika would be reincarnated as Sanemi's son or stepson (what the fuck) AND that Sanemi and Kanae would've been canon if Kanae didn't die, which, I'm sorry, is the fakest fucking thing I've ever read despite being a common misbelief.
I don't want to digress too much into this but imagine you're an author, you have the power over your characters and you decide to add a couple that will be doomed inevitably...you would make it canon, if it was supposed to be. you would AT LEAST make said crush remotely relevant in AT LEAST one of the two characters' arc...which it isn't. in ANY of the canon universes. the Academy is right there, the Timeskip is right there, both had Kanae alive and both don't make SaneKana canon, not even remotely. HEAVY ON THE TIMESKIP in which ObaMitsu are married, but they're canon in all the verses...Mitsuri had an actual impact on Obanai's character and even when there's silly trivia about him in databooks or even in the manga it always somehow involves Mitsuri, something that we did NOT see with Sanemi and Kanae.
now, as much as I would talk *endlessly* about this, I don't want to sound hateful to shippers, but it pisses me off that a Gotōge-wannabe is reinforcing the toxic shippers' delusions.
I would've lost my shit even if they said the same thing about my fav fanon ships, because it's FAKE.
if the author wanted them canon, they would be. there's no "if" nor "but", there was no excuse.
they clearly and luckily wanted to leave it to open interpretation
as an OC creator if I want a couple canon I simply write them in a way in which would make them canon in at least one AU 😭🙏🏻 tf
this being said please don't fall for such weird ass stuff 💔

Hi! I love your design for Maedhros, but I was just wondering: does he spill food/drink out of his mouth hole when he’s eating or drinking??
Thankyousomuchomg. But also Lol can you imagine????!
Tumblr media
Poor thing….
To be honest, I thought about this last year when I started drawing him….and then i got too comfortable with the design i used lol
I did a lot of sketches back then of him wearing some sort of mask or prosthetic so this does not happen so often to him lol, but... those sketches are old and I don't like how they look (I was in a heavy art block ) haha.
Tumblr media
Well,it’s this, I tried painting over the old drawing to make it look better, but yeh.. I got carried away ahaha….
Tumblr media
I do have many versions of this “masks” one of them covers half of his face (phantom of the opera vibes lol)and other versions covers it completely. In my mind, he got this as a gift from Curufin, and i think he would only use it in more everyday moments, since i can't imagine what use this could have in battle… also the scars are more intimidating haha.
At the time, I was experimenting more with how I drew him. I think there's something interesting about portraying someone known as "well-shape one" and making him lose most of his face, I have many drawings of him with even worse scars and looking completely different than he used to be before angband, but I ended up liking the design I use better, lol, (although I usually keep experimenting and changing things ehh sometimes intentionally... but sometimes I just forget and do what I feel it looks best, like his eyes, I like the idea that if his right eye was badly injured, the light in them would be more spread out and also he wouldn't be able to see clearly from that side, but sometimes I just don’t add that haha.
oh well, sorry for my rambling and my bad English , i used this as a excuse to show all of this lol, aaalso, haha, I'm so sorry it took me so long to reply, I've been really busy with my studies and stuff, I'm working on a lot of projects and I lose track of time but I find this so interesting that I just want to answer it eheh

Stolen kisses - part 2
Finally posting part 2 of stolen kisses! Sorry it's taken so long, i've been a busy busy bee :) Hope you guys enjoy it! Constructive criticism is always welcome :D Find my masterlist here :)
Pairing(s): Nika Mühl x female!reader  Word count: 6.4k+ Warnings: make out sessions, hickeys, jealousy Summary: Nika finally snaps as jealousy takes a hold of her, revealing your secret relationship to the team. ------------
A few weeks have passed, and you’re still happier than ever. Okay, that’s a lie. Classes have been kicking your ass, and practices have been leaving you completely drained. Relationship-wise, however, things have been great!
You celebrated your 6-month anniversary with Nika a while ago, and it was amazing. You felt a little bad about having lied to your team that night, but you had to. They wanted to have a sleepover in Paige and Azzi’s dorm and watch movies, but you weren’t about to cancel your date for that.
You’d taken her to a fancy restaurant for dinner, followed by a movie in your dorm as you held her in your arms. You’d looked up the nicest restaurant in the area because you wanted nothing but the best for your girl, but in the end, you don’t remember anything about the place itself. You were too enthralled by how beautiful Nika looked in that mouthwatering maroon dress of hers. You didn’t notice the cozy lights, too focused on the way the Croatian lit up the room with her smile.
You close the trunk, turning around to see a grinning Paige wave at you as she and Azzi make their way towards you. You smile back at the pair, greeting them as Paige daps you up. You give Azzi a quick hug before you all start walking towards the facility.
“You ready for practice?” The blonde asks with a wide smile. “Sure, if being ready means being dead-tired, sore, and barely holding it together,” you reply with a playful smile. “That’s the spirit!” Paige laughs as she pats you on the shoulder.
When you reach the court, your eyes immediately zero in on Nika.
When you hug Nika, you let your hands linger on her hips a little longer, giving her 3 soft squeezes. “I love you,” you say without words. When you pull back, the brunette looks at you with a twinkle in her eyes.
She’s a lot shorter than you, standing at about 5’2”, with wavy, blonde hair and big, thin glasses. She’s holding her laptop to her chest as she smiles sweetly at everyone. When you make eye contact, you send her a small smile of your own. Her eyes crinkle as her lips curl up even more.
You don’t notice the look Nika sends your way as she notices the interaction.
You don’t get the chance to try to wave Nika over, as the brunette appears beside you in the blink of an eye. “Partners?” She grins. “Partners,” you agree. Once the team is paired up, you grab a ball and take Nika to a quiet corner. “Ready to get destroyed, babe?” She mumbles with a smug smirk.
Your heart flutters at the nickname. “In your dreams, baby,” you quip back. While you’d proven to her you were the better scorer that day you two first kissed, there was no way you were better at defense. While you might be biased, you truly believed Nika was one of the best defensive players out there.
It’s not like you and Nika were being very subtle. You were constantly mumbling flirty comments while letting your hands linger on her body for longer than you would with any other player. You also didn’t need to be told to know you had that look in your eyes. The look that Nika calls your “adoration face”. But how can you not look at her with so much love in your eyes when the love you have for her is one of the main reasons that keeps you going in life?
Your banter gets cut short as you hear your name being called. When you look over, you see Aaliyah making her way towards you. “You’re up, L/N,” she announces as she takes over your spot with Nika. You send both girls a smile before making your way to the interviewer. You miss the sour look on the Croatian’s face as you walk away.
You sit down beside Emma, asking her how she’s doing and if the others haven’t been giving her too much trouble. She giggles a little, shaking her head as a few curls fall in her face. You try your best to make the shorter girl feel at ease, knowing your team can be a loud and intimidating bunch. The blonde starts her interview with easy questions, asking how long you’ve been playing basketball, who your favorite players are, and what your dream team would look like.
You’re not trying to flirt, being very happy in your relationship with Nika, but that’s just the person you are.
Hearing your chuckles, which usually sound like music to the Croatian’s ears, Nika looks over at the benches, a tiny frown on her face as you laugh with the girl beside you. Her mood only worsens when she sees the blonde slap your arm softly as you give her a little smirk. Being distracted, the brunette doesn’t notice Aaliyah coming a bit close, making her fall to the ground.
Nika’s face looks a bit more thunderous, but you figure she’s just riled up from training and maybe even a bit embarrassed about the fall. You don’t hear anything the blonde beside you is saying as you continue to look at your girlfriend. When the Croatian finally looks back your way, you send her a soft smile.
Right now, Nika’s frown just deepens a little as she eyes you and Emma.
Your head snaps back up as you hear Nika scoff.
“Well, well, if it isn’t our favorite player, finally making her way here,” Paige teases, emphasizing the word player to let you know she’s not talking in the sense of basketball.
Nika is glaring at the floor, her jaw clenched. You take a step towards her before clearing your throat and moving towards your locker. You want to make sure the shorter girl is okay, but you don’t want to draw attention to her bad mood, nor do you want her to get mad at you again for “being too obvious”.
You hurry to get ready, seeing as the brunette is already starting to leave.
Nika had taken a quick step back and sent you a stern look, making your heart hurt a little.
Opening your mouth to say…Well, you weren’t sure what you were going to say, but it doesn’t matter as Nika starts speaking first.
“You alright?” Paige asks, her eyes roaming over you as if that’ll show her what's wrong.
You open your messages, hovering your thumbs over the keyboard as you stare at your last messages with Nika.
You start feeling better the longer you text the blonde, laughing as she makes awful dad jokes.
You’re now certain the brunette is mad at you.
The blonde shakes her head, sending you a soft smile.
You open your chat with Nika again, sending her a goodnight message.
You greet everyone, slightly nervous as you say hi to the Croatian.
Did you lose your phone or something?” Paige asks, pulling you out of your thoughts. “Hm? Oh, nah, I forgot to plug it in yesterday, so it was completely dead this morning. I overslept and left my phone back in my room to charge.”
You glance over at Nika, hoping she knows you didn’t just not text her because you were mad. “You’re such an idiot,” Paige laughs. You see Azzi raise an eyebrow at the blonde, knowing full well Paige forgets to plug in her phone multiple times a week, meaning Azzi has to wake her up on most days. You just roll your eyes at her, too tired to give a good comeback.
“Anywaysss,” Azzi says, “you only had one class today, right? Wanna come over to our dorm?” You think about it for a moment. On one hand, you would love to go back to bed and sleep until the next morning, but on the other hand, you wanted to spend some time with Nika. The brunette looks at you with hopeful eyes and a soft smile, and you know right then and there you’d agree to anything they proposed, as long as she’d be there.
“Sure,” you shrug. “That’s the spirit!” Paige says as she swings an arm around your shoulder. You were hoping to hang back a little and talk to Nika, but it seems like the blonde has other plans as she guides you to her dorm.
The rest of the day you spend in Pazzi’s room, laughing as you laze around. Your chest feels lighter as the Croatian teases you like she normally would.
It’s a selfie of a pouting Nika with the words “Already miss you :(” below it. You quickly save the picture, reacting to it with a heart and telling her she’s a dork but that you miss her too.
When you text her good night when you go to bed, you’re happy to see a loving message back.
The next morning, you wake up to your alarm feeling well-rested and ready for the day. You grab your phone, texting Nika a good morning and asking if she wants to go to practice with you or if you’d be seeing her there. She replies, letting you know you can pick her up at her dorm in 30 minutes, making you grin widely. You hurriedly get ready, grabbing some toast for on the way, before leaving. You finish your breakfast right as you reach the brunette’s dorm, knocking on the door as you tap your fingers against your thigh to the beat of a random tune.
The Croatian opens the door with a wide smile, greeting you as she steps out into the hallway.
When you make it back to the court, you pass Nika as she walks towards her locker.
You let out a loud belly laugh as the blonde’s cheeks become a bright red. “I hate youuu,” she mumbles as she reaches her usual spot for the interviews, putting down her stuff before hiding her face in her hands. “Nahh, you love me,” you grin, pulling her into a side hug as you pat her head.
You’re too busy making fun of Emma to notice Nika return to the court.
I mean, blondes are your type, right?” Paige asks with a smirk.
Nika clenches her jaw and furrows her brows at the blonde’s words, walking away with her group for their drill. “In your dreams, blondie,” You retort, giving Paige a little push. Sure, your last two girlfriends were blondes, but that didn’t mean they were your type. You don’t really have a type, you just love all women. You love a certain Croatian in particular, though.
Looking over at your girl, you see her staring at the floor angrily. You tilt your head in slight confusion before it dawns on you that she heard the teasing comment aimed your way. “Oh… She’s annoyed because of what P said. I’ll talk to her later,” you think to yourself, shaking your head to focus back on practice.
When your girlfriend’s name gets called for her interview, you watch her walk away. She’s chewing her gum aggressively, stomping her feet a little harder than usual, her shoulders hunched. You stare until you get hit by a basketball, reminding you to get your head in the game.
Not long after, your attention gets taken away again as Nika comes back onto the court, being done with her interview much quicker than the others.
“Mhm… I think she’s jealous,” the blonde shrugs.
You turn towards the blonde one last time, apologizing for the glares aimed her way. “It’s okay, it’s kinda sweet,” she replies. “Yeah, giving people the stink eye is sooo sweet,” you grin as you jog backward, making the younger girl laugh.
Hearing Emma’s sickly sweet laugh, Nika finally snaps. Once you reach the middle of the court, she marches over to you. Everyone moves away, clearly seeing that the girl is on a mission. Once she reaches you, you open your mouth to ask if everything is okay, but you don’t get the chance to say a word. The brunette grips your collar, tugging you down with more force than you expected, and kisses you hard.
Looking back at Nika, you see her anger has simmered down, an adorable pout on her face as she stares up at you. Chuckling, you pull the Croatian closer, leaning down to whisper, “Are you jealous?”
“I’m sorry, pause,” Paige blurts out, raising her hand in a “stop” motion. “You two are dating??” She asks, her face still showing pure bewilderment. You look over at her with a wide, proud smile, nodding your head as you pull Nika closer against you, leaning your head on hers. “Since uh when?☝️🤨” KK interrogates. (A/N: Anyone get that reference?)
“We’ve been dating for 7 months and 13 days,” you reply, taking the lead as Nika is still too embarrassed to say much. “Damn, you said that with no hesitation,” Aaliyah says, looking a little impressed. “Yeah, you’re a simp,” KK laughs, making you roll your eyes. “You’re just mad cus I get bitches and you don’t!”
You look down at Nika, feeling her move away from you. Hearing the brunette’s soft laugh makes you feel a bit better, though only slightly.
“Wait, sorry, I’m still hung up on the fact that y’all have been dating for 7 months and somehow kept it a secret from us,” Azzi says, still looking baffled. “Yeah, come on twin, how could you not tell me?” Paige whines with a pout.
Even though you were pretty sure the girls would bombard you with questions, your smile doesn’t leave your face, knowing that the whole interrogation, Nika would be right by your side.
