Dream of McDreamy
Tumblr media
George O'Malley couldn't stand it anymore. Meredith was into Derek, but he was playing with her. Always on, off, on, off. Why would she choose a guy who treated her like that?
Tumblr media
Derek used to date Meredith in Seattle Grace Hospital. But that was all crushed when his wife, he claimed that he was divorced to, came to town to get her husband back. The wife, Addison Montgomery, a brilliant surgeon, wasn't thrilled to watch Meredtih every day, but she was willing to do anything to get her husband back. The husband that was still in love with Meredtih, but his connection to Addison couldn't be severed so easily.
George was always the one on the side. He liked Meredtih a lot, but she would never notice him like Derek. Derek was McDreamy for her. Geroge was... well George.
Tumblr media
He wasn't ugly or anything, but he couldn't compare himself to Derek Sheperd. The hair, the face, the smile. And especially those skills and knowledge. He was a god for so many people here.
George knew why Meredith like him so much. He envied him his good looks. It made it so much easier for him to get the lady he wanted. But he doesn't deserve her. Meredith deserves to be treated with respect and love.
George planned it. Either he was gonna die trying or it would work. He connected electrodes and sensors to gis head. And the EEG machine. He timed it so that Derek would be coming around the corner just in time to see his alterations to the machine. And just as George thought, Derek did what he wanted him to. He touched the button to turn off the power, because the machine on George's head cracked and sent many electric impulses into his brain. Derek tried to turn it off, but he felt a spark and then BOOM
Derek flew to the next wall where he crashed. The emploees rushed in to help him and George. They had had to revive George for many minutes and eventually succeeded. But it took them too much time. Certain parts of the brain weren't oxygenated and died out, leaving him in a coma.
As Derek woke up. He was a bit confused. Looking around, trying to find someone. They had to hospitalize him as a normal patient and therefore, Derek was on the hospital bed, waiting to be checked and released.
Looking back at himself in the mirror reflection, Derek, or to be specific, George in Derek's body felt proud that his alterations worked.
He was playing with his hair, non stop. How come that this guy is in his 40s and has a head full of hair
Addison came by to check if he was truly ok.
The new Derek looked up at her:"Addison we are done. Please, do not call me, do not beg me. I am in love with Meredith and this is my final desicion. Goodbye"
Addison was so surprised by all this that she couldn't even react to the monologue Derek just spat at her. But she was done too. No more chasing men, who don't want her, no. She was the star of her own life. And left.
George got up and went straight to the bathroom. He looked at his poker face reflecting in the mirror. "It's gonna be weird, getting used to seeing your face every day, Derek. But it's something I can do for Meredith"
He untied the hospital gown he had on. He examined his new body. It was much better than his old one. It seemed that Derek really took care of himself
George looked down and smile. "Not bad, Derek." I knew Meredith had a good taste.
George grabbed his dick and smiled at himself in the mirror again
Meredith:'You talk to yourself in the mirror?"
George turned around, not covering his dick. "Meredith! Yeah... from time to time"
Meredith was a bit caught off guard by the nakedness, but Geroge stepped closer to her
George:"I made a choice Meredith. I pick you. I choose you. I love you."
Meredith:"You know you don't have to run away after we had sex"
George in Derek:"Yeah, right. Sorry, force of habit"
Tumblr media
Meredith:"Hmm, right. Wanna join me in the shower?"
George:"Why din't you say that before?"
They laughed as Derek threw off his clothes and chased Meredith naked all the way up to the bathroom.
In the hospital
Meredith:"So this was all I wanted to show you. I was thinking that it could help some patients like George to fully recover. Or at least partially."
George:"Meredith, George is probably not waking up. The chances are really low."
Meredith:"But there are some studies who tried this method too and it worked."
George:"You know what? Let's just enjoy the day tonight. We got a big event to celebrate"
Meredith:"Yeah? Which one?"
George:"The two of us finally being together"
George was happier than he would ever be. He had his crush pressed against him, while his new dick was getting hard. He was now kissing his crush after so many years.
As they were making out in front of all the scans, George thought about tomorrow. How they would have to study all those cases. And how he would have to disconnect his old body to make sure he would stay with Meredith forever
Tumblr media
An anonymous request from inbox:
Ooooh, Ive always though it might be fun to have George O’Malley swap bodies with Derek Shepherd? Maybe using it finally be with Meredith? And just being jealous of his good looks.

Dancing With Your Ghost (JavierPeñaxghost!reader) Part I
Tumblr media
Summary: You are a ghost (sort of) and you don't remember what happened to you. You only know your name and you feel that something bad has happened to you. The only person who sees you and hears you is Javier, so you don't leave him because you believe he'll help you. That he will solve the mystery of what happened to you.
Warnigs: the reader is a ghost, mentions of death, angst, later chapters will also include descriptions of severe wounds, blood... And also sadness, anxiety, little smut but later
A/N: Title inspired by this song
Tumblr media
Part I
Javier entered his apartment with the red-haired woman glued to his side. The prostitute showered his neck with kisses. He glanced at the couch and sighed dramatically, "What's wrong, handsome?" she moaned right into his ear. Javier muttered, "Nothing, it's nothing."
You snorted and shot him an offended look: "Am I nothing?"
You were sitting on the couch with your legs crossed and you weren't going to move. Javier clenched his jaw and waved at you. You laughed and repeated his gesture: "Seriously, is that how you chase away ghosts?"
"Disappear," he hissed softly. You stuck your tongue out at him and replied, "I'm not going to."
At that time, the redhead looked at him in surprise: "What did you say?"
"That my desire for sex has disappeared," he muttered, looking at you resignedly. He already knew how stubborn you were.
The prostitute pouted in displeasure and grabbed his belt.
"I'm sure I can help with that."
You giggled and said, "She's relentless."
Javier slightly pushed her away and shook his head, "I'm sorry, honey, I can do nothing about that." Before the woman could say anything, he pulled out his wallet and took out the money. "Don't worry, I'll pay you anyway."
The woman sighed heavily: "Too bad, you seem nice." She took the money from him and pecked him on the cheek. "If you change your mind, you have my phone number." Javier nodded. "Alright, goodbye handsome."
As soon as the door closed, you said.
"Awww, you're so nice. I'm sure most guys would kick her out without paying."
Javier turned to you and placed his hands on his hips.
"Has anything changed since this morning?" He looked at you searchingly. "Did you remember your last name? Where are you from? How did you die? Where did you die? When did you die? What did the killer look like?" He barked out questions at a rapid pace, and you shook your head at each one. "In conclusion, nothing has changed!" he growled. "So you could have waited until, you know."
You raised your eyebrows.
"I wanted to mobilize you. And... I honestly think that you can do better. You are handsome, intelligent, nice, you could pick up any woman."
He snorted and took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it. He rubbed his forehead with his thumb and gasped, "And again we're talking about me instead of you." He sat back in his chair, spreading his legs wide and exhaling smoke slowly. At times like this, you really wished you could touch him. You would be sitting on his lap and kissing his beautiful long neck. "Did you think that maybe I'd work better if I got rid of the sexual tension?" His words brought you back to reality.
You snorted and shrugged, "You've got a shower and a hand for that."
You saw his eyes darken and he raised his eyebrows. After a moment, he let out a long moan of annoyance, and you giggled slightly. You liked teasing him.
"What? Are you about to say again that maybe I deserved to die?"
He shook his head and dropped his shoulders. "I already apologized for that," he said sadly.
You frowned. You didn't expect such a reaction. You thought he was going to say something sarcastic. "It's okay, I didn't mean to make you feel guilty."
He looked at you. "I looked through the missing person's database when I had a moment. No one matches you."
You felt a surge of sadness and bit your lip. "Maybe no one is looking for me because I wasn't important to anyone."
Javier shook his head and leaned towards you. "I don't believe it. Maybe you can be annoying." He looked at you suggestively. "But you're also kind and sweet. I'm sure you had someone who loved you and would look for you.”
You got up from the couch. "Yeah, sure. Don't you think I would remember that person?" Javier shrugged and you headed for the door. You looked at him again. "You should lie down, you look tired, but... I'll be walking around the city, so if you want, call a girl. I won't bother you."
Javier waved his hand and before he thought about that he said, "Take care of yourself."
You looked at him with an unspoken "Seriously?", but then you smiled slightly and nodded your head. It was even cute that he went from "you're not real, I'm delusional" to "I'm worried about you because I forget you're a ghost."
As usual, you went through the door of his apartment, then the main door, and found yourself on the streets of Colombia. It was one of the few pluses of this lousy situation. You were free to roam the streets. Enjoy the hidden beauty of the city.
Maybe Javier was a little plus in the situation, too. You didn't remember if you had anyone. Boyfriend, fiancé, husband... But you wish they were as handsome as Javi and sensitive. Yes, Agent Peña had a good heart. No matter how hard he tried to hide it. You see that. He did these little things for you, left the TV on when he went to work, even though you could turn it on yourself, thanks to this strange ability to control electricity. And he talked to you. Not only about your weird condition. But also about ordinary things.
*
After you were gone, Javier poured himself a glass of whiskey and sat down on the couch. He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed heavily. Then he laughed at his own stupidity. He expected that to be the case when he went back to the apartment with the prostitute. He could just go to some brothel and spend the night there. Then the risk of you showing up would be much less, and yet... In some twisted way, he was hoping you would show up and he'd have to send the girl away. He groaned in frustration. He really was abnormal. How was he supposed to explain to you that not being able to touch you was driving him crazy. "Fuck," he hissed. "Come to your senses, Peña. The girl is dead."
Contrary to what you might think, he really wanted to get the motherfucker who killed someone like you. But he was an agent, he needed facts... Even the place of your death would be a success, and he had nothing.
He tilted his head back and closed his eyes. He remembered the first time he saw you.
*
( flashback )
4 weeks earlier
Maybe chasing Velásquez downtown at noon wasn't the smartest decision he made. But what was he supposed to do? They tracked him down, and this was their chance. So he gave permission for the chase and jumped into the car driven by Chris. They were speeding through the city streets like crazy, and he had to admit Feistl was driving really well, but they were out of luck. They ended up causing a few car collisions, their own car was blocked by a truck and they had to brake hard. Javier jumped out of the car, leaning forward and resting his hands on his knees.
"Fuck," he gasped. "Fuck! Fuuuuck!!!"
"Boss..." Daniel started walking towards him.
He waved his hand and muttered, "Not now. I need to cool down."
He started walking forward ignoring the people who were staring at him and then he saw you. You were standing in the middle of the street screaming "Help! Can someone help me?! Please..." His heart beat harder. He hated seeing defenseless women, and that's what you looked like. You were desperate and worst of all, no one was paying attention to you. He immediately felt obligated to offer you help. He straightened up and started walking towards you.
"Miss, what happened?"
You looked at him with wide eyes. "You see me?"
Your question surprised him and he nodded. He took another step towards you and then it happened. A cyclist has passed through your body. Literally, it penetrated your body. Javier jumped back: "What the fuck?!" You put your hands up and started walking towards him: "I know what it looks like, but... Only you can see me, please... I think I died." You had tears in your eyes, but Javier just shook his head, turned around, and started walking away. "Wait!" You tried to grab his hand, but it didn't work like it didn't with other people.
Javier was walking briskly towards his agents. He waved his hand at Daniel and as the taller man approached him he asked, "Did I hit my head?"
"What?"
"Do I have a wound on the back of my head? Do you see anything?!"
Daniel shook his head, "No, boss."
Javier looked behind him, and of course, you were still standing there. He started massaging his temples.
"Are you a policeman?" you asked as you noticed police cars gathering around. And he had a gun in his belt and the man he was talking to was wearing a bulletproof vest. Of course, he didn't answer you, but you were sure he heard you. "Please help me. I don't know who I am or what happened. And only you can see and hear me."
You saw him swallow nervously. You suspected you'd act the same way too. It's unusual to see ghosts. You sighed heavily and stood next to him. You weren't going to leave him. You felt he was your only chance. So when he got in the car, you sat in the back. You saw him occasionally glance in the rearview mirror, but he pressed his lips into a thin line and said nothing. When he went to his apartment, you followed him. You saw him take his headache pills. He finally spoke up, but he wasn't looking at you.
"I'll go to sleep and when I wake up you'll be gone. You're just a delusion," he murmured.
You watched as he lay down on the couch. He closed his eyes and began to breathe deeply. You were still standing in the middle of his living room.
"I really feel like something bad happened to me," you whispered.
He opened his eyes and looked at you up and down. He opened his mouth as if to say something but closed it finally and turned his back to you.
You sat on the floor and started crying. Your tears falling on the carpet left no trace as if they didn't exist. You felt so lost. You only remembered your name, nothing else. You didn't know where you were from or what happened. You just had this weird feeling that you had died and that it was someone else's fault. So you assumed you were murdered. And then you made a decision. You won't give up until this man believes you exist and helps you.

Since you guys liked my other Eddie smut, here’s another one.
Eddie Munson X !Jealous_reader
(Established Relationship)
Warnings: Apology sex, slight angst, semi public sex, fingering (f receiving), oral ( f receiving),
I waited by Eddie’s car in the parking lot. He told me he had a deal to do but this deal must’ve been important because he forget to give me the keys, or at least unlock the car. I waited in the heat for what seemed like forever but it was more like an hour. I was offered a ride by Steve who was picking up Dustin for something. I politely declined and said that Eddie would be there any moment. The parking lot was soon empty except for me standing there by Eddie’s car. I was beyond pissed at Eddie. When I saw him leave the woods I started to march right up to him in anger. Suddenly the sight of Chrissy Cunningham chasing after Eddie with a smile on her face made my heart shatter. I felt the pieces of my heart sink into my stomach as she hopped onto his back and he spun her around.
I walked back to the car and stood by the passenger door, praying that he would notice that I was still out there and unlock the car. He didn’t. It took him the rest of the time for him to walk up the hill with Chrissy on his back before he noticed I was there. “Hey sweetheart! What are you doing outside of the car? It’s like a million degrees.” He dropped Chrissy and she waved goodbye before leaving. “You forgot to unlock it. I was left out here the entire time because you forgot to unlock it.” Tears threatened to slip out as I looked down at the ground.
He immediately ran up to me and held my face. “I’m so sorry princess! Here let me make it up to you, I’ll get you ice cream before I take you back to my house!” He unlocked the car and got in. I got in too, throwing my backpack into the back seat. “Can you just take me home?” I said, starting to feel more angry than upset. “Okay…may I ask why?” He said, turning to look at me. “I just don’t feel good!” I yelled out in frustration. “Okay then I’ll stop by the drug mart and get you some medicine before I drop you off, and I’ll just get you a tub of your favorite ice cream for when your feeling better.” He responded simply, starting the car and turning on the AC. “Don’t you understand? I barely want to ride in the car with you so please just take me straight home!“ I yelled at him.
He looked shocked to say the least. “What’s wrong? Is this because I left you out in the heat? If it is I’m sorry baby, i really am. Let me know what I can do to make it up to you.” He said, resting his hand on my thigh. I picked it up and moved it off. “It’s because your getting touchy with Chrissy Cunningham! She wants you so bad and your playing into her fantasy! Probably because you want her too, right? She’s the prettiest most popular girl in school so of course you would rather make out in the woods with her than hang out with me!” I said, letting it all out as he looks at me in shock.
“Baby..”he started but stopped when I looked away. He grabbed my chin softly and whispered to me even though we were the only 2 around. “The reason me and Chrissy were acting like that was because she took molly for the first time so she was acting a little more friendly than usual. I’m sorry that i made it seem like I was flirting with her. I love you and I only love you. You own my soul, Y/N. I’m yours.” He said, looking me right in the eyes. His voice was so genuine it made me smile. “I’m sorry for being jealous.” I said but he immediately shushed me. “Don’t ever be sorry. That was all my fault.” He said before kissing both my cheeks. He placed a kiss on my lips and I kissed him back immediately, missing his mouth on mine.
“Let me make it up to you, okay?” He asked against my lips. I nodded softly. He grabbed me by the hips and helped me into the back seat, making sure not to hit my head on the roof. I laid on my back with my knees tucked up. Eddie crawled back and kneeled in between my legs. “So pretty baby. So so pretty.” He placed kisses on my thighs with every word. “What do you want me to do? I’ll do anything for you.” He spoke against my skin making me shiver. “Use your- your mouth on me!“ I spoke in anticipation. “Of course baby.” He said quickly taking my panties off. He places his flat tongue against my folds, making me shiver. He started moving his tongue in the ways he knows I like. I was soon gripping onto his hair and begging for more. He went ahead and pushed two fingers into my aching hole. He pumped his fingers in and out of me with the same pace he was using with his tongue. “Eddie! I’m gon-gonna cum!” I let out gasps and moans as I pretty much couldn’t breath at the pleasure rippling through my body. “Cum for me princess.” And at Eddie’s low voice against my cunt I came on his face and around his fingers. He wiped his mouth off before cleaning up his fingers with his mouth. “Kiss me.” I gasped out. He quickly went up to my face as kissed me. He put all his love and emotion into the kiss, making my taste myself. “Do you forgive me?” He mumbled against my lips. “Hmmm… get me ice cream first then I’ll forgive you.” I said with a smile. He giggled and placed another kiss on my lips. “Anything for you sweetheart.” He smiled before he helped clean me up and put me back into the front seat. He climbed up too and drove to our favorite ice cream spot. He paid for my ice cream. He kissed me every chance he got to show everyone around us that I was his and that he was mine.

Sweet Escape IX (Adrian Chase x reader)
Tumblr media
Synopsis: The lengths you’d go for Adrian Chase were way more than anyone originally thought.
So I’m coming back to this series! Once again thank you @charleetheefictionalfucker for all of the help! My twin thanks for all your support and I’m so happy we’re brining our story back.
Sweet Escape Masterlist
Warnings: mentions of sex, magic, ptsd, mentions of trauma, death, grief, violence
“Mommy’s gonna buy you a Mockingbird, I'ma give you the world, I'ma buy a diamond ring for you, I'ma sing for you, I'll do anything for you to see you smile...”
You smiled rocking your baby boy back and forth humming your small lullaby. Adrian admired you while holding your baby girl from the doorway.
“Y/N?” You glanced up giving him a small grin.
“Oh hey..I got him down..Is she asleep?..”
“Not yet..just like her mother she’s fucking stubborn.”
“Don’t curse in front of the baby.”
“Sorry..She’s freaking stubborn like her mother.”
“She should be stubborn and strong..It’s part of her name.”
“Laurie..Beautiful Laurie..”
“I know and this is Michael.” You sing songed getting up to place Michael in his crib.
“Hand me Laurie. I’ll try to put her to sleep..” Adrian shook his head taking your previous spot.
“Nah...My girl and I will stay up for a bit. You get some rest.”
“You know I can’t rest without you.”
“I know, but at least go shower or something. I wanna do this. I wanna make sure I can put them to sleep.” You laughed a bit giving him a kiss.
“You’re a great dad.”
“And you’re a great mom so go shower.” You nodded using your magic to place a blanket on Michael giving one last glance to Adrian before walking out.
That was the end of your dream.
You gasped sitting up looking around. Same room. Same emptiness.
“Fuck not again..” Running your hands over your face, you got up heading to the kitchen making your cup of tea.
Mornings usually went like this nowadays. It had officially been three months since you left Evergreen. Well since you had released Evergreen and you had defeated Amara..
Along with saying one last goodbye to Adrian..
Adrian has officially been dead for close to a year now. Not to you at least, but physically he’d been dead for close to a year.
Adebayo had managed to help clean up the mess you made. Evergreen didn’t forgive you. Not that you wanted them too.
What you did was bad and you were grateful your friends had helped you. Even though it hurt to know that afterwards they left you once again.
Not that they wanted too at least.
They went back to missions and visited you once a week. The deal was for you to go far away. So Waller couldn’t find you and so you couldn’t cause anymore harm for anyone.
You agreed.
Lately though..You’d been dreaming.
You’d been dreaming about Adrian once more. At least you weren’t using your magic to bring him to life, but just dreaming about him was dangerous. It was the perfect life you had wanted.
A life where there was no more fighting and one where you had children...
Children..
Laurie Chase and Michael Chase. They were beautiful, but not real.
They were not real.
It was something that you kept having to remind yourself. You wanted to bring it up to your friends, but at the same time...
Haven’t you burdened them enough?
Your grief almost caused innocent people their lives. Your selfishness..
“You’re allowed to be selfish. We went over this remember.” Adrian’s voice rang out.
“I’m not. I lost that right after I took over a town to live in a fake reality where you were here..Didn’t I say to leave me alone also?..”
“I can’t. I want too, but your mind keeps making me up. I know you miss me-”
“No. No. Don’t say you know. You don’t. Now go away.”
“I understand your pain my love-”
‘You don’t understand my fucking pain! You could never! I didn’t leave you! You left me! You get the relaxation of being dead and not having to deal with any of this alive people shit Adrian! Everything I am feeling anyways is your fucking fault! So just- Just go away!”
“Y/N. I can’t-” Your eyes flashed red as you swiped him away.
“Your dead so stay dead.” Wiping your small tears and shaking it off. You stalked to your bedroom throwing yourself on your bed. A nap should help calm the thoughts running through your head.
You also haven’t mentioned the hallucinations to anyone. This may have been the lowest you had ever been in your life. Not as low as you were in Evergreen, but still low.
If only your dream was real. Why couldn’t your dream just be fucking real?
Part of you longed for the days where you lived in a fake tv show. Adrian was there at least, but you promised him you’d try to be normal again.
Shutting your eyes for a small moment of peace you were startled by what seemed to be the sound of laughter.
“Mom!! Michael won’t share the candy!!”
“Guys! i told you to leave your mom alone for now and Michael Chase you better share that fucking candy!”
“Mom said we can’t swear!” Your’s sons voice rang out causing you to laugh.
“I did say that Adrian!” You called out walking into the room seeing Adrian holding each of your children upside down.
“C’mere babies.” You grabbed Laurie from him sticking your tongue out at Adrian.
“Now MIchael share candy with your sister.”
“But-” He fussed about to argue stopping once he saw your disapproving look.
“I will make you share with your dad instead if you don’t share with your sister.”
“NO! Dad will eat all of it!” Adrian gasped dramatically as Michael hid the candy behind his back.
“Not true!”
“Yeah huh!”
“Nuh uh!”
“Yeah-”
“Enough!” You rolled your eyes giving them both a pointed look. Adrian would be the type of dad to argue with his own child.
“Fine! Here Laurie!” She grinned up at you accepting her candy. You sighed shaking your head.
“How did they grow up so fast?” Adrian smiled at your utter pulling you into a kiss.
“Maybe we need more-”
“No! No more!” You pushed him away shaking your head. Adrian grabbed your hand giving you a smile. You didn’t notice how the air suddenly thickened.
Your children disappeared.
“Stay.”
“What?” Muttering out in slight fear at Adrian’s sudden command. You pulled away seeing the room you were in gone. It was just Adrian.
“Where are the children?-”
“Alive and well just not here. This is real, but not in your world so find us...and stay.” You shook your head in disbelief.
“Just another hallucination I should’ve known better-”
“You managed to take over an entire town and bring back a dead man. I know you have been actually hallucinating Adrian, but this is real. The Multiverse is real.”
“You’re not Adrian and the multiverse is just a myth. It’s too dangerous to fuck with anyways.”
“I’m not..I’m someone who wants to help and you’ve been through worse.”
“Amara is gone-”
“She is. Read the book.” You shook your head once more in confusion. This fake Adrian laughed.
“Amara got her magic someway right? So read the damn book. I remember your deal. The book is in your care. For it’s safety..Oh how stupid they were giving you of all people something with such power..” He shoved something in your hands pushing you out a sudden door.
You gasped awake screaming as a book appeared in your hands. This was the book Amara had studied in order to use her magic. The book cursed to turn anyone who reads it into something like Amara.
It had been locked away with you after Evergreen and this is the first time you’ve genuinely held it.
The deal was that you and this book would go into hiding.
This book...
The book you could use to control your magic better and maybe just maybe find a way to see Adrian and your children..
Was the fake Adrian right? Would you get your happy ending? Was it still a possibility?
No that couldn’t be right! No it just couldn’t! You promised Adrian you’d try to be normal-
But your children needed you didn’t they? You glanced down at the book hands shaking as they hovered over it. Maybe just a peek.
It wouldn’t hurt right?
There was only one way to find out.

Girls like you
THE POOL
JJ Maybank wasn't really sure why the Y/L/N family had hired him to clean out their pool when summer started. They seemed to like him around the hotel when they went for meals but he wasn't exactly qualified, he wasn't complaining though, they tip well and it couldn't be that hard.
His only problem was Y/N.
They never got on well. She was friends with Kie in her kook year, who even went as far as to dub her 'the only kook who doesn't make me want to gauge my eyes out', so she knew the pogues from around although they'd grown apart the girls shared no bad blood and always stopped to catch up when they saw each other around.
He was in the middle of raking the leaves from the large pool when he saw her. She was crossing the garden from the large mansion, clad in a bikini with sunglasses perched on the end of her nose. JJ hates how good she looks, her curves perfectly on display and a confident aura around her.
She's got headphones in, he notices as she saunters closer.
"Hi princess," He smirks, watching as she rolls her eyes
"I'm not your princess. How long are you gonna be?" She questions, settling onto one of the sun loungers next to the pool
"An hour or so," JJ states
"Well, could you do it quietly I'm hungover and I wanna just relax," She states, slipping the second headphone back into her ear before he can reply.
He cleans, unaware of her watching him from behind the glasses as she sips on her bottle of cold water. She would never tell anyone but watching him work, his muscles tensing and untensing under his vest shirt, a light sweat from the hot summer day on his skin, she couldn't help herself from thinking he looked good.
He would definitely admit to John B that he thought she looked fit. Her breasts spilling out of her bikini top a little and the barely there thong bottom's high cut making her legs look excruciatingly long. He'd probably make some crude jokes about hate sex being way more fun. He wouldn't admit though, to finding something very comforting about her presence, and finding the way she hummed along to whatever she was listening too adorable.
It's a further 40 minutes, JJ is trying to work out how to get the pool vaccuum to turn on, when her phone rings loudly.
"Hey Sare," Her voice speaks. JJ figures quickly it's Sarah Cameron, the pair are practically inseparable and the whole island knows it.
He half listens to her side of the conversation, more out of boredom than interest.
"No, babes, I love you and all but I really don't wanna. The last million times I've seen Rafe he's been so weird and creepy and I don't wanna be alone with him,"
JJ doesn't know why the comment angers him so much. Why does he even care if Rafe is clearly trying to pull her? It's none of his business. Yet, he can feel his blood boiling at the thought.
"No Sar, if I go and you have to stay with me then you can't go and be with Topper,"
She's silent for a few minutes before sighing "Fine. Fine, I'll come. See you in a minute. Bring me some shorts, I'm in the garden and can't be arsed to go upstairs and find some. You owe me forever,"
JJ wants to scream. Wants to tell her she shouldn't go if she feels uncomfortable around Kelce. He wishes Kie were here, maybe she could talk her into staying where she felt safe.  Maybe she would be able to explain why JJ even gives a shit.
"Maybank," She states, he looks up, trying to act like he hasn't been listening. "I'm going out. You'll be the only one here," She informs
"Okay," He nods.
"My keys are on the kitchen counter, lock up when you're done and I'll just grab them from you at the hotel,"
"All right," He agrees
"When will you be there?" She questions, looking at him like he's an idiot. He groans internally, obviously she needed to know that.
"Tomorrow, 2 until closing,"
'"I'll swing by around 4," She informs. He nods, trying not to stare at her as she lets her hair down from the ponytail it had been in, shaking it out. A car honks outside and she turns, walking up the garden towards the side gates, turning a few metres away,
"Oh, there's an envelope on the kitchen counter with your tip in," She adds
"Thanks. Goodbye princess," He smiles,
"Still not your princess," she shouts back, turning and disappearing round the corner.
THE CAR
JJ felt a lot more in his element when her dad had called him asking if he could fix her car. He hadn't specified it was his eldest daughters, and JJ knew the family owned 7 cards despite only 3 of them even being able to drive.
JJ recognised it though, a white convertible porsche, he'd seen her driving it around before. Wether she was blasting music with the roof down singing with Sarah, picking up a take out from the wreck, driving around in the middle of the night, she'd even given Kie a lift to the Chateau before. He realised that he always seemed to notice her presence.
He was working in the family's garage, the bonnet popped open and grease all over him. It was an easy fix, if a little fiddly.
He jumped out of his skin when the door burst open.  He is immediately taken aback by how good she looks. Clad in a tight black skirt that is ridiculously short, heels and a tight black V neck top with a lace trim around the neck. Her hair falls in bouncy curls around her shoulders and her makeup looks perfect. He would have sworn on everything he'd never seen anyone look so beautiful.
"You're a boy," The girl states.
"Good job noticing that one princess," JJ smirks, she rolls her eyes.
"I have a date and Sarah is being so unhelpful, can you help me pick a top?" She questions, he gulps, nodding.
"Okay, so this is option 1,"
"It looks good,"
"Right. But is it sexy? Do you look at me and think I wanna slam her against a wall and rail her?"
His eyes widen a little, that's one way of putting it he decides.
"Look, I'm your families help, I shouldn't be answering that,"
"Like I care Maybank," She groans, exasperated.
"Okay fine, I look at you in that and I think I wanna rip your clothes off,"
"Okay good. Option 2," She starts. JJ is shocked when she pulls her top off in front of him, without even turning around. He turns around, although not without taking a mental picture of her boobs being pushed up in a red lace bra. "Who knew you were a prude?"
"Just respecting you princess," He comments
"You've seen me in a bikini, what's the difference?" She questions, he stays silent having no quick comment to respond with. "I'm dressed," She states
He turns back around, she looks good, a forest green top made of satin.
"The first one is sexy, that one is cute,"
"Thanks JJ, oh, and hey, thanks for fixing my car,"
"Uh. Yeah, anytime,"
THE SUMMER HOUSE
JJ was happy to paint the summer house. He claimed to his friends it was just because they way over paid and tipped big. In reality it was because for three days straight he would get to catch glimpses of her. And he did.
He saw her when she swam in her pool.
He saw her when she played in the garden with her little sister.
He saw her when she cloud gazed with Sarah Cameron.
The best times he got to see her though, were when she would bring him stuff. Every so often she'd knock on the open door to the summer house, sometimes with water, sometimes with snacks, a few times even with a beer. A couple of times she stopped and made small talk, one time she even smeared paint on his cheek and giggled as he chased her through the garden.
He enters the kitchen, used to how the family worked now. An envelope of money waiting on the kitchen counter, they always seemed to be coming and going so it was easier.
He was shocked to see her in the kitchen, she's scrolling on her phone sipping on what looks to be an iced coffee
"Oh, hey JJ," She smiles
"Hey, I'm done," he informs, she nods, watching as he picks up the envelope "So, I'll be seeing you around,"
"Did you want a lift?" She questions, he looks at her slightly confused "I just noticed your bike wasn't here and it's kinda late to be walking back. It's a long walk,"
"You really don't have to princess,"
"Honestly, it's fine," she assures, jumping up and grabbing her keys before heading towards the garage.
She wasn't sure when she stopped hating JJ Maybank, wasn't sure when she started noticing little things like the blue in his eyes and which snapback he was wearing and how tired he looked. She wasn't sure when the sight of his bike in the driveway started giving her butterflies.
"So where is your bike?" She questions, the roof of the car is down and the wind blowing through her hair as she pulls out of the private estate her home is on.
"Didn't have enough fuel to get to yours and back," He shrugs
"Why didn't you just-" She cuts herself off "Shit, I'm so sorry. That was insanely rude, I wasn't even thinking and-" He chuckles, watching as she splutters and blushes
"It's okay. Life is different on the cut I can understand how a kook princess wouldn't get it," He shrugs, she nods, still not sure what to say.
"Y'know my life isn't perfect," She comments, he scoffs, unable to help himself. "I'm not kidding. It's privileged as fuck, I know that, but it's not perfect,"
"Go on then princess, what's so shit?" He doesn't mean for it to sound so harsh, he's genuinely curious
"My parents, they have basically planned my entire life, down to where I'll go to college, what sorority I'll be in, where I'll work my summer internship, who I'll marry, where I'll get married, which big kook house I'll live in,  at what age I'll have to give up my career, which has been decided for me by them, to start trying for babies. It's 24 by the way so in 8 years. My whole life is decided and I don't want it. I wanna go on a trip around the world and surf and travel and explore. I wanna fall in love and get my heartbroken again and again until I find the right guy. I wanna live in a New York apartment and I wanna see the world. I don't wanna marry Rafe Cameron just cause our mothers are friends. I mean he's literally scary and harasses me and acts like even though I'm 16 I shouldn't have a choice cause one day he'll father my kids. And no one gets it, none of my friends, not even my best friend. The only person who ever understood why it was so shit was Kie and then she left, she left and lives her life and it's fun and exciting and anything could happen. I don't hate her for it but it fucking sucks that she left me miserable. I'll be miserable living my planned out life and then I'll die. Yeah, I have money and that's fucking great, but my life is far from perfect,"
JJ sits in a stunned silence. He's not really sure what to say. Their problems were very different but hers were just as shitty. He feels like he's seeing her in a whole new light.
"Sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I don't tell people that and we barely no each other," She mutters, not wanting to look at him
"Where would you go first?" His question surprised her
"On my fictitious surf trip?" She questions, he nods "Europe, Spain I think,"
They sit in silence the rest of the way, it's not awkward though, both of them feel comforted by each other presence. He gives her instructions to the chateau.
"We are probably gonna drink some beers and smoke. You wanna stay? You could crash here and drive home in the morning," JJ offers
"I can't. My family are having dinner at the hotel. Thanks though," She smiles gently
"Yeah. Uh, I hope it's not too shit. Thanks for the ride princess,"
He climbs out of the car, his friends who sit on the porch immediately calling out to him, they're all laughing and teasing him about his lift home and when he looks back he almost thinks he sees a look of longing in her eyes before she's reversing out of the chateau.
THE BOAT
"Can you fix it?" She questions. JJ Maybank has never seen her look nervous before.
It was only 6:30 AM when she'd started banging on the door to the Chateau, tears in her eyes and panic on her face hoping JJ would be here. John B had pulled the door open, half asleep and groaning a little at the bright sunlight. He'd let her into the small home and disappeared to wake JJ up. John B opted not to put too much thought into the way the minute her name was said JJ leaped out of bed and shoved into the living area, the way his hands cupped her cheeks to see if she was okay, the way he was calling her princess as he tried to calm down her hiccuping tears.
"I can fix it," He confirms. They're standing on the deck of her families boat "It's an easy fix princess, okay? don't even worry," He speaks in a comforting tone
"Thank you JJ,"
"No worries. It'll take me a while, you got anywhere to be?"
"No. Well yes, a breakfast thing with the Cameron's but it's at my house and I can't exactly show up without the boat so,"
"So you're hiding out here all day?" JJ questions
"Well, I don't wanna intrude. I can go and hang out at the beach,"
"Don't talk nonsense, you can hang here. C'mon, I need to be down the bottom with the engine, you can sit and entertain me,"
She watches intently as he works, now that he's not working at her house he hasn't bothered with a shirt, instead just wearing shorts and his infamous red baseball cap. He glances at her occasionally, her makeup streaky from crying and wearing a short white dress.
"So, wanna tell me what happened?" He questions
"Not really," She admits, he nods and she sighs before beginning to explain"Rafe wanted to go boating late and then it all went wrong and then we got the boat to the nearest dock, hence why we are in the middle of nowhere, and he said he was going to call someone to get a lift and it was rainy so I was waiting in here.  It had been a while so I went outside to check on him and he was gone. I didn't know what to do. Dad would kill me for breaking the boat, do I just kinda figured I'd walk to yours and hopefully you would no how to fix it. Then I realised I have no clue where you live so I walked to John B's and hoped for the best,"
"He just left you in the middle of nowhere alone?" JJ doesn't know why he's so mad, they were hardly even friends
"Yeah. He texted me to let me know it was cause he's already in shit with his dad and didn't wanna go down for breaking my family's boat," She shrugs, JJ wants to go and find Rafe Cameron and beat his skull in.
"Look, a girl like you deserves someone who would treat them a million times better than that,"
"I always thought you hated me," She admits
"So did I, until this summer I kinda did," He shrugs
"What changed?" She asks, the question is so vulnerable he can't help himself from looking at her
"You aren't what I thought you'd be," He admits, she nods slowly
"How should a girl like me be treated?" She questions
"Like they're the only thing on earth," He's not really sure why he's so openly telling her how he feels but it feels too late now
"Is that how you'd treat me Maybank?"
"Girls like you don't date boys like me," He shrugs, turning quickly back to what he's doing, not wanting her to recognise the disappointment on his face.
THE PARTY
It was no secret her family hosted a big formal party on the 10th of July every year, her parents wedding anniversary. JJ had waited the party the last 2 years and this summer was no different, he'd even managed to get John B and Pope a job too.
His heart had stopped when he saw her, her dress was the exact shade of blue as the sky and flowed beautifully down to her feet, her hair curled with the front pinned back, her makeup beautiful. She looked like an angel approaching him and god why did she have to look so perfect.
"Hey JJ," She smiles, grabbing a glass of champagne from the tray he's holding "Could you do me a favour?"
"Of course," He agrees, expecting some job that needed doing for the party
"If you see Rafe and I'm on my own..." She trails off "I'm trying to avoid him, after the other day,"
It's three hours into the party when JJ grabs her hand, pulling her along behind him and away from Rafe who is clearly trying to catch her alone. He pulls her into a small cupboard slamming the door closed behind him and locking it.
"What was that about?"
"Rafe," He shrugs, he didn't outwardly say he'd been watching her all night to make sure he could look out for her. He also didn't say he would have been watching her all night even if she hadn't asked him too.
"JJ, you know how your coming over next week to fix that one  door that you can't open from inside the cupboard?" She question
"Yeah," He states, peering out of the key hole to see if Rafe is still looking for her
"Well, this is the cupboard,"
"Shit!" He shouts, pulling away from the door to face her. "Shit, it's your parents wedding anniversary and I got you locked in the cupboard,"
"It's alright," She shrugs "They hate each other most the time anyway,"
"Call someone to let you out,"
"Where on this dress did you think there was pockets, you call someone,"
"My phone is in the twinkie,"
"The what?"
"John B's car," JJ sighs. "Fuck princess, I'm so sorry," He groans
"It's fine. Sarah will come looking for me eventually," She shrugs. He nods, watching as she sits down on the ground, patting the space next to her.
He obliges, sitting next to her, knees touching in the tight space.
"You look nice tonight, I like the shirt and tie," She compliments, he can feel himself blush and is glad the cupboard is dark enough she probably can't see it.
"Y'know what you said on the boat the other day?" She questions, he immediately knows what she's referring too "About how girls like me don't date boys like you,"
"Yeah," He confirms
"Why is that?" She questions quietly
"I couldn't make you happy princess. Your parents would hate me. I couldn't take you on the fancy dates you're used to. You wouldn't be happy,"
"My parents love you, they think you're resourceful and hard working. I hate the stuffy dates figure 8 boys take me on," She informs, he laughs a little at that. "Besides, you already make me happy. I'm just saying Maybank, if you don't wanna date me just say it, don't try and put it on me,"
JJ isn't really sure how to react. How to explain he desperately wanted to date her, wanted her to be his girl and wanted to shower her in love and adoration. He isn't sure how to tell her that by inadvertently telling him she wanted to date him she had made him the happiest man on earth. He's not really great with words and it all feels too hard to say.
So, instead, he turns slightly, taking her face in his hands and pulling her to him, his lips crashing against hers and somehow she knows everything he wanted to say.

Wow. | N.L.
Tumblr media
in which the reader is given a dare, and she definitely won’t turn it down.
warnings: a little bit of nsfw, swearing, underage drinking.
word count: 1,642
idek i project all my crazy personal experiences onto my one shots sorry babes
the night was supposed to be fun. you were supposed to go the the gryffindor party, get drunk, dance all over your friends, and go back to your dorm. but that all changed when seamus finnigan got involved,
“longbottom has never seen a pair of boobs before! isn’t that right?” seamus smirked, looking over at his awkward friend.
neville huffed, “why did you have to say that out loud?”
seamus, dean, harry, & ron all laughed at the boy’s embarrassment. but they couldn’t laugh too much, knowing full well that they themselves had never seen a pair of boobs before either.
“you want to see a pair tonight, longbottom?” seamus asked him, that dumb smirk still plastered onto his face. neville absolutely hated when seamus got drunk. he seemed to totally forget to concept of boundaries and a filter,
“i really don’t—“
“i got the perfect candidate, too!” seamus interrupted, his speech slurred from all the affects of the alcohol. “look,” he pointed over towards y/n y/l/n. she giggled at something her friend said, and seamus’s smirk only got wider as he witnessed neville staring at you with nothing but pure adoration.
“do you know how many guys at hogwarts have seen her boobs? last time i checked, she had sex with like... four or five guys!”
this talk was quite common when your name came up in a conversation. you had hooked up with quite a few guys, and you regretted it greatly. you never knew how quick things could get around at hogwarts until a group of hufflepuff girls were yelling terrible and vile names at you two days after you had lost your virginity.
according to the general consensus at hogwarts, you were a slag.
but your true friends would say otherwise, and they were right. it didn’t matter how many guys you had slept with, you were still a person, and you deserved just as much as respect as everyone else did.
neville longbottom didn’t see you as that, though. he had talked to you quite a few times, even developed a small crush on you. but, he knew he never had a chance. out of all the guys that chased you, he knew you would never pick him.
“those are just rumors.” neville quickly retorted, shooting down what seamus had said. “don’t say things like that about her... it’s not true.”
the boys laughed once more, “oh don’t worry, longbottom. i’m not calling your little crush a slag, i’m just simply stating what i’ve heard.” seamus patted neville’s shoulder, “but, enough of all that. i have an idea that is going to benefit you, longbottom.”
neville furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, “what—“
“just watch.”
before neville could even stop him, seamus was making his way over towards you. neville tried his best to protest, but ron held him back.
“merlin, what in the bloody hell is he even doing?” neville asked nervously, running his hand through his hair. his friends didn’t respond, only looked on to the conversation between you and seamus.
after a few minutes, which seemed like hours to neville, seamus begin to walk back, but you followed right behind him.
“hi, guys!” you greeted the boys sweetly, waving your hand a bit. “seamus gave me a dare, and i’m here to follow through with it.”
“what was the dare?” dean asked you, taking a sip of his drink. you grinned a bit, and your eyes found neville’s.
you suddenly held your hand out right in front of neville, ignoring dean’s question. he had a very confused look on his face as you waited for him to take your hand. “come on, longbottom. i don’t have all night.”
“yeah, come on, longbottom! she doesn’t have all night...” seamus whispered into his ear, and he laughed as he pulled away.
neville had no idea what his friend was up to, but he couldn’t ignore the sweet smile on your face, and the way you stood patiently for him. from what he could tell from knowing who you were for so long, seeing you in shared classes, you had always been a patient person. you sat hand in foot for people if they needed time for something, and that was something neville definitely was not used to.
he shakily took your hand, and you started to walk him towards the stairs that led to the boy’s dormitory. you heard whistles and cheers erupting from his friends, but ignored them, as that was just the way boys were.
“show me where your dorm is,” you requested, and he reluctantly nodded.
he was terrified of what seamus might’ve said to you. his intoxicated self could’ve out right told you that neville had the biggest crush on you, and neville promised himself that if that was the case, he wouldn’t speak to seamus ever again.
when you two arrived into his dorm, he awkwardly sat down on his own bed as you stepped a few feet in front of him. no words were spoken as you started the dare by unbuttoning your shirt.
“whoa, whoa, what are you doing?!” neville quickly asked, and you stopped. you raised an eyebrow at him,
“the dare that seamus asked me about. he said you knew about it,” you informed him, and neville scoffed. “you don’t know about it, do you?”
neville shook his head, “what exactly is the dare?”
you stayed silent for a moment, embarrassed and caught up in your next choice of words, “well... he sorta dared me to... show you my boobs. he said you never saw any before, and that you wanted to really bad.”
neville’s jaw was practically on the floor. he couldn’t believe that seamus had lied. but now, he was stuck in the most awkward position he possibly could’ve ever been in.
“i didn’t—i—oh, merlin...”
your eyebrows furrowed, as neville seemed more stressed than excited about the dare. you had never seen a boy look so miserable to see a pair of boobs in your whole life.
“what’s wrong?” you asked, genuinely concerned for the boy who’s face was now hiding in the palms of his hands. he was a bit taken back to here you ask that, as no one had asked him that question in a very long time. and, when he finally did look up at you, you seemed worried.
he didn’t want you to worry over him, though. so he quickly shook his head and rubbed his eyes, “oh, nothing. it’s—it’s nothing. i’m alright.”
you nodded, but still didn’t take it as the truth.
“well... do you want to still see them, or...?”
in that moment, a desire clicked within neville. he was still angry at seamus, and the predicament he was stuck in with you, but he couldn’t ignore the burning sensation in his gut when you had asked him that.
but, he knew it was wrong. “yes—i mean—no! no, i do not want to see your boobs!”
you chuckled quietly at his words, and the way he was seemingly trying to convince himself more than you that he “didn’t” want to see your boobs.
“well, alright then. that’s cool...”
you then sat right next to him on his bed, letting out a soft breath of air. he looked over at you, clearly still embarrassed from this whole ordeal.
“it’s okay if you wanted to, you know? and also, it’s okay that you’ve never seen them before, either. seeing them or not doesn’t make you more or less of a man, longbottom. i hope you know that.”
your words didn’t come from a place of pity, but from a place of worry. neville was the complete opposite of you, inexperienced, nervous. and that was fine in your eyes, but you could tell he thought the complete opposite.
“seamus is an arse for putting both of us on the spot like this.” you sighed, rolling your eyes.
there was a beat of silence before neville finally responded, “he is. a big one.”
the response made you look over at him, and you both chuckled.
before you knew it, you and neville were having an actual conversation. a huge party going on downstairs, but it truly just felt like the two of you.
you never really knew neville on a deep level, but after tonight, you wished you had known him like that for years. he had so many interests, and he was very knowledgeable about them, too. any bit of his life that he provided you details about intrigued you. the boy was so fascinating, and you couldn’t believe you never took the time out of your life to get to know him before.
at one point, you decided on the fact that your friends were probably worried sick about you. so, you decided that it was time to part ways with the special lad.
as you two passed goodbyes back and forth, you stopped when you opened the door. you smirked to yourself, and turned back around to face him.
“hey, longbottom...”
he looked up at you, showing that he was being attentive.
“i don’t turn down dares.”
before neville longbottom knew it, your once buttoned shirt was now opened, revealing all the uncharted territory that traced your skin.
his breath hitched, and as much as he wanted to, he couldn’t rip his eyes away from you. the way your curves dipped, the way your nipples began to turn hard from the chilly dorm air meeting them. it was all too much.
“goodnight, longbottom!” you giggled innocently, before leaving him all alone in his dorm.
his mouth was left agape. he couldn’t stop thinking about you, or... them. you were absolutely more perfect than he ever could’ve pictured.
“wow.” he breathed out,
his body fell back onto his bed, and he stared up at the canopy above him.
what a night.

⇢ Synopsis: Your idol ex boyfriend Jimin cheated on you. You two have been broken up for a while now and the media has been keeping track of you and him. You’re trying to get over him, but the things that happen inbetween makes you re-think the entire breakup, and so does Jimin…
⇢ Song : xxxxx
⇢ Previous : 00 01 02 03
⇢ Word Count : 4.7k
⇢ Warnings: dominant jimin, makeout sessions, this is honestly a sad angsty au, cheating, pregnancy, unprotected and protected sex, a bunch of sex, no really a LOT of sexual themes too, I know I’m forgetting some but sorry in advance!
⇢ Copyright: please do NOT repost, translate, or modify my works in any way, shape or form, on any platform. If found doing so , it is considered as plagiarism and appropriate LEGAL action will be taken
⇢ Authors note: This is my mini series for the summer! Get your tissues, things to take your anger out on, and sit back and watch the drama unfold. Shall we begin?
Last night can’t get out of your mind. It’s not like you to do such a dumb thing. Kissing Jimin... you didn’t know what had gotten into you last night. The last thing you’d ever want to do is have someone go through the same thing you did with Jimin when he had cheated on you. Your mind raced all night thinking if that kiss, that one sole kiss, would make you the bad guy? Make this whole situation worse?
Wrong.
Both of you were vulnerable and just not the same. Of course you’re still tender to the subject of and about him, and forever will have have a soft spot for Jimin. You didn’t expect that to happen though.
‘‘ Yes.. Yes.. Okay.. I understand.”
You drone on for the millionth time today. Only 9 am and calls are making their way to you. You’ve been caught. Someone spotted you and Jimin last night walking to your apartment. Luckily the pictures were only garage scenes of you and him. Jimin’s head hanging low trailing a distance behind you while you hold your sore arm. Thankfully, by the looks of the new articles every damn hour, they think that you had hurt yourself and Jimin was supposedly there for you for comofort.
The fanpages are going to have a field day with that.
Your manager continues to lecture you about how this could start a scandal, how you should of been more careful, and finally that those words everyone has told you before. He wasn’t good to you, move on.
‘‘ Listen im just going to be with Ryan today and she’s bringing Jungkook. We are heading over to Ryan’s office to discuss things and what not.’‘ You sigh into the phone, wanting to hang up already.
Your manager on the other line is hesitant for you to go, but gives in once you say you’ll only be an hour in and out. That’s the only way you’ll get to go out today. Whenever small scandals like this brew up, the management company would make you stay low for the next three days.
You both say your goodbyes and then hang up. Finally. Somewhere in the room Clara lets out one of her tiny meows making you smile to yourself. The day planned ahead is way more exciting than you worrying to yourself
Tumblr media
‘‘ Baby please. I have to go’‘
Isabel smirks lowly while shaking her head. Jimin watches her intensively as her hands roam all around his now bare chest, that was covered with a shirt two minutes ago.
‘‘ Jimin, you and I both know that we haven’t had much time to ourselves lately.’‘
Her dainty fingertips trace over his forming abs one by one staring him straight in the eyes. He bites his lip hard just before letting out a useless groan with his head thrown back in the chair. It’s true. With all the celebrity show appearances they’ve had, the quality time together has been cut short.
He ries to pry her hands away from his jeans but it’s no use. “ I have to leave, Jungook wants me at Ryan’s office in twenty minutes.”
Her face turns into a pout, lifting her hands from his jeans.  ‘’ So he’s more important than your girlfriend?’’
‘‘ Well I mean he is my blood broth- Fuck!’’
It’ was quick enough to where he didn’t feel it coming. Before he knew it, his jeans were unbuttoned and her mouth glides across the imprint of his shaft hiding behind his boxers. “ We can stop and you can leave.. if you want..” She knows exactly what shes doing by making sure her voice is low and those round eyes meeting his.
His groans only become louder when she takes a long, slow lick from the base to the tip. There’s no way on hell he’ll miss this opportunity to get some head. Jimin’s craving for sex has been high lately and with no time to recieve pleasure, he damn sure wasn’t gonna let up this offer. “ Fuck that. Keep going my love.”
Grabbing a fistful of Isabel’s hair, he yanks his boxers down revealing his thick, hard member hat springs up to his belly button. Isabel smirks at him just before taking the whole thing down her throat making Jimin moan out louder in pleasure. The sound of sucking, wet noises fill the studio’s ambiance.
Jimin watches her intensely while letting out low groans and growls as her bobbing head becomes quicker. This isn’t what he wants truly.  What he wants is you. You is who he wishes who’d be pleasuring him right now. The way you’d sometimes gag on him when his dick filled your mouth completely was something he’d always enjoyed seeing. The way your eyes water with him stuffed in your mouth but determined to go on was a major turn on for him. He wants you and only you. Right now in this moment Isabel doesn’t mean shit to him but you do.
He can’t help but to lean back in his chair and close his eyes waiting to chase his high, all with the thoughts of you and your guises past sexual encounters turning him on even more with the lost track of time in the back of his mind.
You on the other hand, wait with Jungkook and Ryan who are getting a bit anxious waiting for the boy’s arrival. You of course didn’t want him to come. It’ll only make things more complicated than it is right now. Essentially you were going to leave when Jungkook said he’d be inviting Jimin.. yet again.
Seeing as though when you were on your way to the office, you had glanced at the clouds and could see a big thunderstorm brewing. You’d rather not take your chances of being rained on while walking back to your apartment.
‘‘ Geez where is this guy? He’s always late ever since he’s been with Isa-”
A shove by Ryan shuts him right up before finishing his sentence. Ryan gives him a glare and a few utters of words to him before turning back to the giant window that gazes over the bright nightlife of Seoul.
One part of you wishes for Jimin not to actually show up but the other does. Just to see his face and reaction too you ever since yesterday. But just for the sake of it, you won’t bring it up. Play it off like it never happened.
‘‘ Was it really necessary for us to come at night? We couldn’t of just come during the day?’’ Jungkook says, walking over to her.
He snakes his arms around his waist placing gentle butterfly kisses around her neck. The reflection off the mirror shows her facial expression, a slight smile as they sway from side to side. A ping of happiness shoots through you at the sight of them. It reminds you of you and Jimin. That happiness quickly shuts down.
You smile to yourself, “Well i’m a model, Jungkook and his brother are idols, and you’re an upcoming fashion designer dating said Idol. ”
Jungkook clears his throat before placing his arm gently around Ryan, “ Yeah she’s MY girlfriend.’’ He says proudly. Ryan shakes her head while playfully rolling her eyes.
You giggle along with her. It’s only been a short while since he’s asked her and he seems so happy and proud with her. Something you wish that Jimin wouldn’t have ruined for you two.
‘‘ Nobody knows we are dating and If paparazzi catches you coming to my office it’s going to stir up something rather it be little or not.’‘ Ryan sighs, sitting down next to you on the white couch.
Jungkook pauses to be silent for a second but continues on, “ That would happen regardless because paparazzi comes out at any time of day. We just so happen not to get caught.’’
Your frail hands begin to play with the sleeve of your shirt at the wrists. Something you do when anxious but trying to keep calm. You’re starting to get annoyed with this couple talk. You’re happy for them but rubbing it in is starting to hurt a bit. Where is he at?
‘‘ You know what im tired of waiting. If he comes he comes. If he doesn’t oh well we already knew he’s an asshole because of that girl now.” Ryan scoffs.
She folds her arms as she leans onto Jungkook who’s now sitting on the arm of the couch. He chuckles at her pouting and sudden anger just before giving her a kiss on the forehead.
You take in the sight of them. Two love birds that mean the world to each other. You wouldn’t dare want nor try to break them up. You knew Jungkook has been waiting for that moment to ask her. When he did on that day Ryan couldn’t of been even more happier.
And if as on cue, that familiar face comes in quietly with two large brown bags in his hands. You choose not to make eye contact with him when he stops infront of the couch, glancing at you.
‘‘ Im sorry im late. I bought food for us..” He pleads for forgiveness. If it was up to you then you wouldn’t have forgiven him. Hell, you still don’t want to forgive him for that act last night. Yet you can’t be a hypocrite because you’re just as guilty.
Jungkook takes the bags from him due to the way to familiar scent coming from them. Jajangmyeon. His favorite noodles of all time. A quick way to earn his forgiveness of anything.
‘‘ You are forgiven don’t let it happen again,”  He says, smiling ear to ear as he pulls out his serving of noodles.
Ryan hands you a pair of chopsticks and your serving of noodles. You thank her and look down at the bowl. If you did eat it that means you forgave him, if you didn’t that means you wont. Your mind doesn’t know which one to pick.
While everyone sits there talking amongst themselves you sit there with chopsticks in hand zoned out. You seen the hickies when he had came in. When he had tilted his head announcing his arrival, thats when you saw it peeking from under his scarf. that The dark bruises peaked up and back into hiding whenever he moved.
‘‘ You don’t like the noodles?” Jungkook says, taking a big bite of noodles then slurping them up.
Ryan gives you one of your guises code looks but you give one back to say you are fine. ‘’ Im sorry I was just zoned out.’’
You don’t engage on any of the conversation instead you sit there eating your noodles quietly until they’re gone. That is until the real reason why you are here is brought up.
‘‘ We are here because me and Jungkook have thought about you guys.” Ryan glances at the boy who’s now wiping his face free of sauce.
Great. When are people going to stop doing that though?
‘‘ Ryan come on now, I honestly don’t care. He’s happy with her and I am with myself. Im serious. Please stop thinking about things like this. Im happy can’t you see that! ‘‘ By this point you know you’re all worked up.
It isn’t the truth, but you just want everyone to stop worrying so you could move on. Bringing the whole situation up all the time is draining for you and you’d rather not be reminded of Jimin and what he does and how he’s doing.
Jimin keeps quite with a stare that’s intense on you. You stare right back at him with an emotionless expression. The both of your eyes never leave each-other but you knew it had hurt him. Saying that you’re fine but he knows you’re bothered a lot.
Jungkook sighs heavily, “Baby-Cheeks don’t get all upset now. We are just worried solely on you. Even Jimin is and we all came to an agreement to have this civil conversation right here and now because all of it needs to be addressed.”
You cock your head slightly to the side not leaving Jimin’s eyes. You knew for a fact that this entire conversation is his doing just by Jungkook saying that last sentence.
“ I told you to stop worrying about me. I really meant it. I’m fine. I am F I N E .’’ You spell out the words, then shake your head clearly pissed off.
‘‘ But you aren’t. You constantly lose focus and don’t talk as much. Im worried for you so much that it pains me to even see you like this.” Jimin bites his lips to prevent from breaking down. You know that expression all to well.
That still doesn’t mean he should be worrying about you. You two are no longer together and no matter how many times you scream it to the top of your lungs each time, nobody listens to you.
‘‘ I am fine. I promise you guys. I’ve just had a comeback and they set me on a strict diet for the next few months and I go to the gym more than I used to because that’s what us models do. Since I have been absent for a year now my break time is over. The reason I zone out is because I have a busy schedule and sleep is whenever I can get it so that makes me tired often. I am fine.”
Your explanation is partially true and you do feel bad for lying on some of the parts but knowing them they will keep doing whatever to make things right. It’s time for you and them to stop worrying about Jimin and your relationship with each other.
The group doesn’t say anything after that. You tried to keep the best serious tone you had to explain that to them. Luckily they fell through and believed it. All except Jimin.
‘‘ Now can we move on? Is everything okay now?”  You ask, looking at both Ryan and Jungkook. They both shake their head slowly still unsure of what to think.
‘‘ Well since that is over with, lets all take our leave yeah?” Ryan sighs, collecting everybody’s trash from the food. You nod your head and begin to help her while the boys go somewhere in the room to talk privately together.
You don’t care enough to want to know about what they’re saying. As long as they don’t bring anything of worriedness about you again then it’s okay. Soon after the room is all cleaned up you grab your coat and scarf. Jungkook grabs Ryan’s and helps her into hers, zipping it all the way up.
‘‘ My baby can’t catch a cold.” He giggles before placing a kiss on her forehead. Ryan turns a deep red in her cheeks as he continues to dress her properly for the snow outside.
‘‘ Can we talk privately again?’‘ A quite voice says behind you. You knew it all to well. But you don’t turn around at all while slipping your coat on.
‘‘ I’ve thought I made myself clear. I don’t need to say it again. Please just accept it.”  The maroon colored scarf is gently placed around you from behind.
You grab his hands to stop him but he’s quick enough to come in-front of you and begin to wrap it for you. “ You lied. You can fool them but not me.’’
You break his hands away from the scarf, making sure to glare at him before you storm out of the office. All of the pressure and just concern in general is getting to you. It’s not like you to get worked up to this point. You hate making scenes and you knew that when you left like that it’s going to spark more curiousness.
The heel of your black suede thigh high boots click down the hallway fast as tears feel the brim of your eyes. Why wont they just leave it be?
After taking the long way out and going down three flights of stairs from the emergency exit, you make it down to the lobby and out the rotating doors.
When you do you almost choke out a whimper at the sight at Jimin greeting Isabel with a hug in which she pulls him down to a deep passionate kiss while waiting in-front of his car.
He was just upstairs dressing you properly, but kissing on her a few minutes later. Typical Jimin.
You bite your lip hard enough for the taste of blood to fill your mouth to prevent from crying right then and there. You can’t show her any sign of weakness. This is what she wants you to do. Cry and breakdown in-front of her to gain victory. She can’t have it. She wont have it.
You slip your hands into the coat pockets and begin your journey down the street. Catching a taxi would be no use. The cold harsh wind mixing with the hard drops of rain feel euphoric but numb to you.
‘‘ What are you doing? You’ll catch a cold for walking in this type of weather!” A voice yells far from behind you.
You don’t bother to look back at him. You up your pace just by a little to get that voice far away from you as possible. He kissed you last night, but kissed her right infront of you. The lump in your throat is sore and your heart hurts with each step you take.  Is this how the game goes? It hurts. It hurts a lot.
The wind blows harsh and the rain blows on your face making your makeup wet but not smeared. The mascara running down your face doesn’t matter from your wet tears.
The stop lights turn yellow, red, and then green a couple of times. You count the number of changes before walking past it. Three times total.
Yellow
Red
Green
then back again.
The thunder roars causing you to jump a bit, but you’re numb to any noise around you anyways. You sniffle repeatedly to stop your nose from running but why not just let it run? Why not just let everything go. Let yourself go. Yeah that sounds about right. Let yourself g-
The blackness of your vision is sudden. No chance to react when the sound disappears from it. To the ground your body goes, laying there in a puddle of water. Your eyes blink slowly when you wince in pain upon bringing your hand up to your head. Vision goes in and out, in and out. You can’t hear the disorted person above you screaming and shaking you just before blacking out again.
The look of horror on his face and adrenaline runs through his body as soon as your eyes close. He thinks it’s his fault. His fault for wanting to keep talking to you. His fault for kissing you last night. His fault for stressing you out to your limits for you to walk home instead of asking him for a ride.
Running his hand through his hair, he slowly picks up your limp body. He saw that fall, and that fall was hard. You slipped on a decent sized amount of a dirt and mud mixture from not paying attention. Tears roll down his eyes when he places you in the passenger seat to buckle your seatbelt where your chest rises up and down. A sign of life.
The ride to your house is hell for him. Constantly hitting the steering wheel out of anger from himself and crying loudly wishing for you to be fine and okay. The hospital wasn’t an option right now. If paparazzi saw him taking you in unconcious right after the small scandal, he’d be sure that he’d be on the news for the next two weeks for supposedly abusing you, which isn’t the case.
It doesn’t take him long to arrive, considering he was tokyo drifting through the streets of Seoul. Laying your body on your bed, he sees the bottom of your outfit is dirty with mud. At first he hesitates but keeping muddy clothes on you wouldn’t be right of him.
After picking out some sweatpants, he moves on to your hoodie collection and spots one in the back of the drawer folded into a ball. Jimin lets out a small laugh when he realizes its one of his. It must of ended up here in transit when packing from the old apartment.
Nevertheless, he decides it’s that one you’ll be wearing and not anyone of the others. When it comes time to undress you, he looks away when taking off your clothes and putting the new clothes on. He tucks you in when done, planting a small kiss on your forehead just before going to get an icepack for you to place it on your head.
The sound of cartoons playing in a distance wakes you up. Your eyes stir open until full view. The throbbing of your head makes you wince a little. You’re just as more confused as to when you made it into your apartment let alone your room.
‘‘ You’re awake?’‘
He places the icepack on the back of your head but when he goes to grab your hand to make you secure it, your heart skips a beat when his soft hand touches yours. It’s been a while since you last had his warm touch against yours.
The thoughts in your head stops when he lets go of your now cold hand. ‘‘ Why are you here?”  You say, finally looking at him.
‘‘ You fell. You fell on a puddle of mud while crossing over to the next sidewalk.” He sighs, eyes staring at you with anger yet relief. Instead of fighting back for the sake of your throbbing head, you just look down.
Thats when you notice the new set of clothes on your body. You certainly weren’t wearing this hoodie before. In fact you knew for a fact that this particular hoodie was balled up in the back of your dresser drawer. It’s his.
“ You undressed me?” You yell, furrowing your eyebrows at him. You pull the cover closer up to your body out of embarassment but Jimin doesn’t care. He’s more worried about the fall than the undressing.
“ Do you fucking know how got damn worried I was?” Jimin walks over to you with his arms crossed and jaw clenching. You want to hide right about now. “You’re more worried about if I was a pervert or not but news flash, I didn’t even look at you while undressing you. I’m not the asshole you think I am.”
Silence is golden.
‘‘ We all shouldn’t have been out there with a storm coming, but we came to the office for your sake. You keep putting yourself at risk, just stop!‘‘ He semi-yells at you.
You know he’s correct but that doesn’t stop you from forming the lecture into an arguement.
‘‘ Risk? I don’t take risks unless necessary. I was just minding my business and walking home. I guess I wasn’t mindful for that the weather wasn’t suitable for walking. Thank you for tending to me.’’
The boy scoffs with a sarcastic smile on his face backing away from your bed. You close your eyes knowing you shouldn’t of said that. ‘‘ Wasn’t mindful? Really? Why can’t you just listen to me whenever I need you to?”
‘‘ You were with Isabel. I don’t have anything to do with your guys relationship at all. I didn’t want to seem like a threat to her. ‘‘
Jimin sighs and rubs his temples, ‘’ You know you’re hard headed right? Do you think I give a flying fuck if she was there or not? You health and you yourself are important to me. ‘’
Here we go again.
‘‘ I said don’t worr-’‘
Jimin raises up quickly with anger and sadness written all over his face, ‘’ I don’t care what you say. Fucking listen to me when I say so! I’m going to worry about you until the day I die and cannot breathe anymore! Accept it okay?’’ He semi- yells, chest heaving up and down fast.
You keep your eyes away from his. You knew it would happen. You knew he would blow up somehow today.
‘‘ Im not going to accept it. Want to know why? I’m not your girlfriend anymore. I have to accept the fact that you no longer are in a relationship with me Jimin. You need to too.’‘
Jimin sighs, pacing back in forth across the wooden floor while running his fingers through his hair repeatedly, “ I was hoping it wouldn’t have to be like this. I’m not letting it happen anymore. From now on I will be checking on you everyday. Understand?’’
‘‘ No I don-”
‘‘ Understand?’‘ He growls, head whipping towards your direction.
There it goes. Pissed off Jimin. The side of his dominance that he dares anyone to overpower.
‘‘ Jimin you cannot come he-”
He shoots you a glare wanting his question answered now. You bite your lip making sure to shut the fuck up at this point. Anything you say after you know would do damage. ‘‘ Do you. Fucking. Understand?’‘
You nod your head. When he becomes like this there isn’t any way to stop him or change his mind.
‘‘ Good. Im not leaving for the night.”
You furrow your eyebrows, “Woah Jimin. Okay that’s too far. That’s considered cheating on Isabel.”
‘‘ It’s not. Not if im not with her anymore.’‘
Your heart jumps at those words. Not with her anymore?
‘‘ You honestly didn’t have to break up with her for me.”
You know you’d honestly feel very bad, but not as bad because she honestly deserves it for being a homewrecker. Then again, what does that make you?
‘‘ We technically are on a break. Im planning to break up with her in a couple of days.” He says, turning the blaring hot heater that was turned on prior to you waking up, onto it’s low settings.
You decide that’s enough of questions and to just enjoy his company there while it lasts. Putting the cover back down, you pick up your phone from the nightstand. A few texts from your manager, a missed call from Ryan. By the looks of it they both don’t know what happened and that somehow relieves you.
Looking back up at him, you notice him turned around about to take off his shirt. His back muscles are evident and flex whenever he moves. You miss those. The way they’d feel under your hands and nails when he used to be ontop of you giving you the best nights of your life.
You hadn’t known he had turned around because you’re too deep in thought recalling those nights. “ Im assuming you like what you see?”
So you’ve been caught. “ No. Put your shirt back on.” Its a lie but you can’t admit to daydreaming about him.
‘‘ Hush im just changing into new clothes.’‘
You watch him go to your bottom left dresser and it all clicks to you. Back when you both shared an apartment Jimin kept extra clothing for emergencies always in the left bottom drawer.
You don’t know why, but you felt that it was tradition to put his extra clothing inside the bottom left drawer when you moved into here. Jimin had left the box of emergency clothing, on accident, with you as the both of you moved out.
When things had arrived here and you started unpacking you had seen what was inside the box. Instead of calling him to retrieve it, you just placed them in the bottom left drawer of your dresser in case something had ever happened where he was in need.
And that scenario just so happened to play out today.
You close your eyes as he casually slips his pants off in front of you. You want to peak but choose not to. ‘‘ Why are you covering your eyes? You’ve seen all of me before.”
And you want to see it all again.
‘‘ Yeah whatever. Im sleepy.’‘
You rub your eyes and let out a quite yawn. You can feel his eyes staring into you so you turn to face him while getting comfortable under the covers.
Jimin turns out the lights first and then the t.v. Pitch black just how you like it.
‘‘ I forgot how cute you can be.’‘ He shakes his head, pulling you closer to him to where you’re laying on his chest with his arms wrapped around you.
His heartbeat is relaxing to you. So relaxing that soon enough, the both of you are fast asleep tangled in each-others love.
Once again, you fell for his sweet-talking and little white lies. All because you want another chance, one last time.

THE NEXT COUPLE OF CHAPTERS ARE GOING TO GET QUITE DARK SO IF YOU GET TRIGGERED BY ANY OF THE WARNINGS LISTED ABOVE PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION OR DON’T READ IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE
Jungkook stretched and hummed in his chair as he saved the last copy of the song he was working on, his shirt riding up, exposing his stomach to the air conditioning that was circulating crisp, cold air around the room. He preferred his studio to be quite cold while he was working late as it would keep him awake, to the point where he would lose track of time and would only go home because one of his hyungs told him to either by calling him incessantly until he picked up or actually dragging him out of his studio.
He grabbed his bag from the couch behind him and began packing everything up quickly, wanting nothing more than to cuddle with Y/N and love her with everything he had. He grabbed her phone and glanced at the time. It was just past midnight. His gorgeous girl had left just under two hours ago and he felt bad because he had promised he would be an hour at the most. He made sure everything was properly turned off and logged out. He pushed his chair back under his desk with his foot before moving out of the studio and locking the door behind him.
He knew that when he got home everyone would be asleep. They normally stayed up until everyone was home, but if Y/N had told the others that he was close behind then they would have gone to bed, knowing that he would be back soon. He said a quick goodbye to the night guards before moving into the parking lot and getting into his car.
He drove quickly but carefully back. The streets of Seoul were quite quiet since it was the middle of the night, but it was something Jungkook found quite relaxing. He loved the glimmering of the streetlights and neon shop lights against the dark sky. There were no stars tonight - it was too cloudy, but Seoul made up for that, the lights on the tips of the skyscrapers becoming artificial stars. He wanted to take Y/N out for a date like this, driving through Seoul and then eating junk food on the hood of his car somewhere secluded while looking at the sky and scenery, enjoying each other’s presence. He would do that with her soon, when his schedule wasn’t as hectic.
He pulled into the underground parking lot of the group’s flat and jogged to their apartment, not being able to keep away from his gorgeous girl any longer. He needed her in his arms.
He unlocked the door and toed off his shoes, instantly being met with the sight of his hyungs sat together in the living room and no Y/N in sight.
“Where the hell have you been?” Yoongi asked, getting up and embracing the boy before taking hold of his ear and twisting it. Jungkook yelped in pain.
“I was in the Golden Closet. Didn’t Y/N tell you?” Jungkook moved to cup his ear to help with the pain but Yoongi stopped his hand. “Speaking of, where is my gorgeous girl?”
“We thought she was with you, Kook.” Hoseok replied.
“But she left before me, like two hours ago. Sejin-ssi picked her up. She said she would come straight here, hyung.” Jungkook explained, biting at his thumb nervously. His head was instantly filled with negative thoughts. Which if their car had been hijacked by saesangs? What if they had been in an accident?
“Jungkook!” Yoongi yelled, getting his attention. “I asked you a question?”
“I’m sorry, hyung, I didn’t hear you, can you please repeat it?” Jungkook took a shaky breath, feeling himself on the verge of a panic attack.
“I said are you sure Sejin-ssi picked her up?” Yoongi repeated himself.
“I don’t know, I think so. He did text me saying he had got her.” Jungkook collapsed on one of the sofas, holding his head in his hands. “Hyung, what if they got in an accident? What if a saesang intercepted the car?”
“Hey, hey, Yoongi hyung, calm down, you’re scaring him.” Namjoon said, putting his hands on the older’s shoulders and sitting him down. “Okay, now, Kook you need to calm down, okay? Don’t panic.” He noticed the maknae’s breathing speeding up and tears streaming down his face.
“I should have left with her when she said she was tired. I shouldn’t have stayed later. I just wanted to finish the song. It was me who suggested it.” Namjoon sighed and sat down, pulling the younger boy onto his lap.
“How about we call her? It’s most likely that she asked Sejin to stop for ice cream or something like that. You know how much of a sweet tooth she has.” Namjoon suggested, rubbing the maknae’s back to calm him down. He hated seeing him this upset.
“We can’t call her. She left her phone.” Jungkook said. “I should have followed her. I should have chased after her and given it to her when I realised she had left it. I’m a terrible boyfriend.” More tears poured down his face, his doll-like lips becoming pouted.
“Hey, no, you aren’t. We’ll just call Sejin, okay.” Namjoon reassured him. “Jungkook, you are not a terrible boyfriend. You are amazing. She loves you so much.” Namjoon looked over to the rest of the members. “One of you call Sejin-ssi. I’m going to get Kookie some comfortable clothes and then try and calm him down, okay?”
“I’ll call him.” Jimin volunteered, pulling out his phone. He tapped a few things on the screen and put the call on speaker. The ringing tone filled the room for a few moments before someone picked up. “Sejin-ssi?”
It was silent before someone spoke. Someone who was definitely not Sejin. “Hmm, no, how about you try again?” The person replied, making Jimin look up at his hyungs with wide eyes.
“Who is this? Why do you have Sejin’s phone?” Yoongi asked, his voice firm and serious. There was a chuckle from the other end of the phone and a noise that sounded like a whimper of pain.
“I’m surprised she didn’t tell you about me. I used to be her one and only and know she walks around acting like a little whore with not one but seven men and I need to correct that.” The man sounded menacing. Jungkook gulped and looked at Yoongi, his doe eyes full of fear. Yoongi looked like he was ready to murder someone, and Jungkook knew that he was going to take the main brunt of his anger.
“Jackson?” Yoongi had no emotion in his voice. This happened when he was really scared or really angry. It was like his body shut down any way he could be seen as weak.
“Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.” Jackson said snarkily. “I didn’t think your boyfriends were this dumb, but maybe they were in order to actually fall in love with someone like you.” His voice was quieter like he wasn’t talking into the phone. “Maybe you lured them in like the little slut you are. Desperate for attention and sex.” There was a loud thud and a cry of pain.
“Jackson stop! Please!” They heard you beg. Jungkook bit his lip, not wanting to hear his girlfriend being hurt and not being able to do anything about it.
“I never said you could speak, stupid bitch.” There was a slap and a stifled shout. “Wish I could speak longer but I have some things to do.”
“Wait, jagiya, we’re coming to find you. We’re not giving up on you. We love you.” Yoongi shouted just before the call was ended. There was a beep. Jimin shouted in frustration and threw his phone across the room.
“This is all my fault.” Jungkook whispered to himself.
“Damn right it is!” Yoongi shouted, grabbing him by the collar and pulling him up. “Why would you not go with her? How could you let her go by herself! What the actual fuck, Jungkook!”
“I’m sorry. I didn’t think-”
“You never do! You only do what you want to do! You’re so selfish, Jeon Jungkook!” Yoongi was seething. Jungkook gulped. “Your sorry doesn’t fix anything! She is gone! She is back with that pathetic excuse for a man and is probably not going to make it! You know what she told me? If she was ever with Jackson again, she was going to kill herself! So tell me, Jungkook, what are you going to do? You’ve sent her down the river to her death! Because of you, she’s going to die!”
“Hyung!” Namjoon yelled, making Yoongi drop Jungkook. The maknae skittered away. There was a slam and then silence. “What the hell are you doing? You know how sensitive he is!” Namjoon was angry.
“Jackson has her, Joon. He intercepted Sejin and kidnapped her. He was beating her on the phone.” Yoongi’s voice was shaky. “And it’s all Jungkook’s fault. He should have left with her. He knows that Jackson is out there!”
“How the hell would Jungkook have known Jackson would have the balls to do something like this?” Namjoon asked with an edge to his voice. “He called Sejin to make sure she wasn’t walking home by herself! If he really didn’t care about her, he would have let her make her own way home.”
“If he cared about her, he would have taken her home himself!” Yoongi wasn’t having any of it. In his eyes, Jungkook was at fault here.
“Look, you’re angry and scared. We all are. But that does not give us the right to argue with each other. We need to stick together if we want to get her back.” Namjoon said, remaining calm. He had to. If he fell apart, they all fell apart. “You need to go and cool off. Go to your room and calm yourself down, and then you need to apologise to Jungkook. You’re his hyung, Yoon, and he needs you right now.”
Yoongi looked at his younger member and sighed. Namjoon was right. They couldn’t afford to be arguing with each other. It would make everything a whole lot worse.
“You’re right. I’m sorry.” Yoongi’s voice was quiet.
“Come on, hyungie. I think you need some Jiminie cuddles.” A small hand took his and pulled him up to his room. “Namjoon hyung, can you call the police, please.” Namjoon pointed to his phone and nodded.
Jimin lay down on Yoongi’s bed and opened his arms. “I’m the big spoon this time.” He said. Yoongi nodded and climbed onto the bed, settling into Jimin’s arms. It was then he allowed the wall to come down and dissolved into tears.
“She said she was going to kill herself, Min.” Yoongi sobbed. “She said she wouldn’t be able to handle being with him for any longer. I don’t. I can’t deal with losing her. I won’t be able to deal with losing her.”
“It will be okay, hyung. Joonie hyung is on the phone with the police now and since he has Sejin’s phone, they will be able to track it and see where they are. PD-nim had a tracker installed into the phone that can’t be turned off in case Sejin ever got kidnapped or we did. They’ll find her.”
“Yes, but if they find her, will they actually find her, or will she just be the shell of herself?” Yoongi said, resting the side of his head on Jimin’s chest, listening to the sound of his heartbeat.
--------------------
Silence. Darkness. Pain.
The never ending cycle that Y/N was going through. Whatever Jackson had used to knock her out had caused the worse headache. It throbbed, each wave of pain being stronger than the last. She winced as she came around.
Her eyes felt like they were glued together. She tried to open them, but failed. Her eyelids felt too heavy. She also knew that if she opened them she would be faced with the impending doomed reality she was forced to deal with. The reality where she was back with Jackson and had been ripped away from her happy life with her boys.
It was then the most horrible thought flashed through her mind. What if it had all been a dream? What if she had made it all up? Those months where all her fear for Jackson had fizzled out, thinking she was safe? It was a false sense of security. In what world would BTS, the biggest boygroup in the world, be her soulmates? In what world would she deserve seven soulmates? There would only be one way to test if it was real. She had to open her eyes and see if everything was greyscale or full color.
She tried to open her eyes again, but failed. Had he glued her eyes shut? She reached up and felt along her eyelashes. It was crusty but it wasn’t sticky. She pried open her eyelids, pulling them apart with her fingers. She hissed slightly.
Her eyelids were unstuck now, but she didn’t want to open her eyes. She didn’t want to open them if the past months had just been a dream. Just open them Y/N, she thought to herself, just open them. You never know.
“Please don’t be grey. Please don’t be grey.” She whispered to herself, gingerly opening her eyes.
She looked around, realising that she was back in that bedroom. Her mother’s lamp was still on the bedside table, although there was a small dark brown stain on it now. Dark brown. That was a color. She breathed a sigh of relief. At least one thing was going well.
“Look who’s up.” A voice drawled. She looked over to the door and saw Jackson lounging against the frame, a belt idly swinging between his fingers. She gulped.
“Why can’t you just leave me alone?” She glared at him, trying to ignore the throbbing pain in her head.
“Because I love you and you love me.” Jackson shrugged. “You belong with me, not with them.”
“I don’t love you, Jackson. I haven’t for a long while.” She spat.
Jackson gasped animatedly. “Someone has some nerve talking to me like that. Where are your manners? Guess I need to teach you again. Kneel and face the bed.”
Y/N ignored him, trying to stand up to him and show him that she wasn’t weak anymore and that she knew her worth and wasn’t scared of him. He slapped the belt across her face. Thankfully he was holding the buckle, but the impact still hurt. She cried out as he pulled her up by her hair and forced her into a kneeling position.
“Listen to me, stupid bitch.” He hit her harshly with the belt. “Just a few months away from me and all your training is gone. Looks like I’ll just have to be harsher with you.” He added a few more hits before throwing his belt somewhere else in the room. “Get on the bed.” He pulled her up by her hair, making her hiss in pain. “Now if you make a sound, I will make this so much worse for you.” He threatened.
Y/N gulped and nodded, allowing him to force her into a position on the bed. Her back and shoulders hurt so much. He forced her onto her hands and knees. He groaned. “Now that is a sight I have missed.” He rubbed his hands over her ass.
Y/N’s heartbeat sped up and her breathing quickened. Was he about to rape her? She tried to move away from him, but he grabbed onto her hips. “Stop!” He shouted, hitting her back over one of the open wounds from his belt. She cried out and crumpled forwards. He pressed his hips against her. “See how much I’ve missed you.” He was hard against her. She didn’t want this.
“Get away from me. Don’t. Please don’t.”
“I said no talking!” A harsh smack to her inner thigh followed before he ripped off her panties. She silently scolded herself for wearing a skirt. If she had been wearing jeans she would have been able to fight against this better. She would have had more time. She sobbed as she heard him push his jeans down. Before he could do anything to her, a phone started ringing.
“Fuck sake.” He groaned, answering it as he stroked over her lower back and thighs.
“Sejin-ssi?” It was Jimin. Y/N felt some relief flood through her body. She knew that Sejin had an unremovable tracker built into his phone that could not be switched off and she knew Jackson had no knowledge of it. Jackson dug his nails into her skin before he spoke.
“Hmm, no, how about you try again?” Jackson smirked, knowing he had full power here.
“Who is this? Why do you have Sejin’s phone?” Yoongi sounded angry. Y/N knew that he was not going to rest until he found her.
Jackson set the phone down and whispered into Y/N’s ear. “If you say one thing, I will kill you.” He threatened. “Now, shut up and be good.” He chuckled as he picked up the phone, pushing into the poor girl. She whimpered, the dry friction hurting her.
“I’m surprised she didn’t tell you about me. I used to be her one and only and know she walks around acting like a little whore with not one but seven men and I need to correct that.” Jackson rolled his hips against her, making her bury her head and cry. She didn’t know if they could hear her.
“Jackson?” Yoongi figured it out, but Y/N had just switched off. She hated this. She wanted out.
“Ding, ding, ding. We have a winner.” Jackson said snarkily. “I didn’t think your boyfriends were this dumb, but maybe they were in order to actually fall in love with someone like you.” He reached down and grabbed his belt again.  “Maybe you lured them in like the little slut you are. Desperate for attention and sex.” He brought the leather down against her skin, this time not holding the buckle. She felt the metal tear open her skin, leaving fresh wounds that would sometimes go over the ones he had already done. It hurt so much. Y/N just wanted it to be over. She couldn’t do this again. He hit her again, making her scream out in pain.
“Jackson, stop! Please!” She yelled, her hands curling in the sheets to relieve some of the pain.
“I never said you could speak, stupid bitch.” Jackson slapped her before grabbing his belt and wrapping it around her neck tightly. She could feel her air supply being cut off. She released a stifled scream, clawing at the leather around her neck.  “Wish I could speak longer but I have some things to do.” He said into the phone.
Before he could hang up, Y/N heard Yoongi talking directly to her.  “Wait, jagiya, we’re coming to find you. We’re not giving up on you. We love you.”
“Yoongi! I love you all too!” She yelled but Jackson had cut the call.
“Now... where were we?” He sounded menacing. Y/N sobbed as she felt him begin to move.
But now she had that small glimmer of hope that they would be able to find her. One day she would be out of here and she held onto that. For them.

Babe can i request for your celebration of 1k followers: Smut 11 with angst 4 and happy ending
Also ‼congrats‼ babe ❤️🎉😏
of course! thank you so much, sweetie :,)
angst 4 just GETS TO ME. it’s very angst but very addictive. it also turned into an actual fic, kinda?
if anyone wants to request another blurb, the prompts are found here.
angst #4: “i can’t... you’re engaged.”
smut #11: “please, just let me please you.”
CW: kinda angsty, reader thinks he’s such eating when he kisses her (he’s not-it’ll make more sense once you read it), fingering, cream pie, nicknames (good boy, princess), kinda switch!reader and spencer, overstimulation, slight cum play ig?, unprotected penetrative sex. *let me know if i missed anything*
you never thought you’d actually lose spencer. okay, you didn’t lose him. he’s not dead. but he can’t be yours anymore. you don’t really know how it happened. they had just gotten into the relationship. max, is her name. and she was wonderful, which might be the worst part.
she was beautiful and kind and great with children and probably perfect for spencer. but you wouldn’t let yourself believe that they were actually together. you refused. until he came into the office one morning looking... concerned? he was biting his bottom lip gently and didn’t speak a word as he entered. there was no ‘random fact of the day’ or smart quip. it was just rush.
“spence? are you alright?” you walked over to his desk.
“what?” he looked up at you. “of course i’m fine. why wouldn’t i be fine?”
“you just look... bothered,” you pressed as you leaned on his desk, your hand accidentally touching his as you tried to get comfortable. that’s when you looked down and saw it. “sorr...y.”
a gold wedding ring on his left ring finger.
they had only been together for four months. four months. you had known him for four years. and he was no longer gone. he was no longer yours, although he never really was to begin with. there was a beat of silence, a rather long one at that. you just stared at the band of metal for what felt like a decade before looking back at his face. he looked like he was sorry, like maybe he could tell what that meant for you.
in the months of his new relationship he came to you during their issues. when he felt as though she was moving a bit too quickly, when he thought he should end it, when he felt too insecure around her... everything. he came to you. it’s like he had all of these seeds of doubt planted in his mind. you had more than one opportunity to squander their relationship.
but instead you were a good friend. you helped him resolve the conflict and you mended their already failing relationship. and here all of those moments were, mended together in the form of a ring that was supposed to represent the bond of forever, biting you in the ass.
“um,” you cleared your throat before removing yourself from his desk, metaphorically from his life. “congratulations,” you said curtly before scurrying back to your own desk.
you thought you still had a chance. he still gave you the look that had given you hope for all of these years. his eyes would say, ‘i want you,’ but clearly, all he wanted was a life without you. the two of you had been teetering on the edge of being in a relationship and being strictly friends. maybe you had been imagining the glances he would send you and the lingering stares and the way his hand would touch yours so delicately when you needed the reassurance. maybe you just needed a break from him to organize your feelings.
that’s what you would do. a little distance would do you some good. and maybe, just maybe, you could finally get over your little crush love for him.
so when you would normally go on a lunch break with him, you worked through it. when he asked what you wanted to eat, you gave him a simple shrug and a, “i’m not hungry,” with a tight-lipped smile, which was the best you could muster up.
when you would normally take a coffee break with him to stretch your legs, you stayed put and opted to continue the case file you were on. as it turns out, taking no breaks from your work really helps everything go on much quicker. you finished your workload by 4:30, so hitch let you go home.
you didn’t tell spencer goodbye.
the next day was the same. and the next. and the next. the days turned into weeks and then eventually a month and then two.
it was hard to not talk to him. it was as if a piece of you were missing. but he was never a part of you, so why did you feel so empty? he seemed perfectly fine without you.
but he wasn’t. he wasn’t fine without you. he knew that him getting engaged in such a short amount of time hurt you - and it hurt him too. truth be told, he didn’t want to marry maxine. he intended on breaking up with her on the date she proposed, she just beat him to it. and he couldn’t bring himself to embarrass her like that. she seemed so excited and happy. but he was so worried about you and what you’d think the entire time he had the ring on his finger.
and when you stopped talking to him altogether he swore he might not make it. but it seemed as though that’s how you needed to cope. so he gave you your space. once the two month mark of you not talking to him and avoiding him hit, he knew he couldn’t last like that.
he couldn’t live without you. it’s been ages since he’s heard your laugh and he’s having withdrawals. so he did something that was extremely hard for him.
when you saw him enter the office with a bouquet of flowers before anyone was even here you rolled your eyes. did she give those to him, too? did she just want to rub it in? no, you wouldn’t think bad of her just because she’s with the man you’re in love with. you avoided his gaze and turned your attention back to your case files, trying to avoid spencer at all costs. then you felt a presence at your desk. a shadow was cast over your papers and you looked up to see him standing above you. you gave him the same tight-lipped smile as two months ago and went back to your work.
“y/n,” he whispered, you looked up to see him biting his lip.
“what, spencer?” you answered with an edge to your voice.
“i want to talk to you,” he looked around at the still empty office. “in private, please.”
“spencer, i can’t... you’re engaged,” you sighed, trying to lower the tears that threatened to pool in your eyes.
“please, let me explain-“
“what more is there to explain?” you scoffed as you rose from your seat. “clearly you want to be with her for the rest of your life. so have fun, spencer. i just... i can’t.”
spencer watched you walk away. away from him and away from the flowers with a card that told you what had happened. the card that would’ve explained everything. and the card that would’ve explained how he had cut things off with maxine.
that very night, however, he decided he’d had enough. he drove to your apartment and banged on your door, without the flowers since they were dead now. when you opened the door to reveal spencer reid standing outside of your apartment, you fought the urge to both cry and slam the door in his face.
“what?” you asked, pleading with your eyes for him to give you some sort of peace whether it be from him leaving or telling you what you wanted needed to hear.
“please...” he asked, “just let me explain.”
you moved out of the doorway so he could come into the room. you closed the door, your back pressed against it, and crossed your arms over your chest defensively.
“explain,” you ordered, deciding to not be sad but instead be angry with him.
be angry with the fact that he chose her. be angry that he didn’t tell you in the first place. be angry that he showed up to your apartment right as soon as you had finally finished crying - again.
“i-i...” he couldn’t find the right words.
he couldn’t figure out how to tell you the right way how much he loved you. how he wanted you. how he needed you.
“for christ sakes, spencer!” you laughed. “you come here late at night, when your fiancé is probably waiting to see you, and what for?! to stand there and just look at me like some dumb, broken fucking puppy?! i’ve never been one to doubt my intelligence but maybe i am dumb. maybe i’m dumb because i let you break me. i never should’ve let myself fall in love with you, you- you asshole,” you were seething. you didn’t even realize you had been crying until he looked at the tears streaming down your face. “how could you? how could you hurt me like that? you lead me on and then... just get engaged so easily. what am i to you, spencer? because i thought i meant more to you than that.”
“you do. you do!” he interrupted. “you mean so, so much to me. more than i know how to describe,” he walked closer to you and tried to take your hands in his, you reluctantly allowed it. “i love you. i love you, y/n. i love you so much it makes me idiotic. i have been chasing my tail trying to figure out how to get you to talk to me again, and if the only way you’ll talk to me is by yelling then so be it. i just need to hear your voice and i need to hear your laugh.”
“leave, spencer,” you tried to pull your hands from his. “you’re engaged. you’re going to get married. i won’t be a home-wrecker, spence. i don’t know what kind of game you’re getting at but telling me you love me isn’t going to make me forget that you’re in love with someone else. you’re marrying someone else, spencer. i can’t-“
and his lips were on yours, his hands now cupping your face. the stupidest thing you allowed yourself to do - you let him in. you let his tongue enter your mouth slowly. you let yourself indulge in his lips on yours, the soft pillowy flesh you’ve dreamt of kissing since you had met him.
his hands trailed down your face and to your waist, pulling your body flush against his own. you whimpered into his mouth, obviously spurring him on as his hands trailed further around and squeezed your ass. your breathing picked up as his lips traveled down your neck.
you had forgotten all about his engagement and how much he hurt you. just this one time, you would give in.
he sucked a dark mark on your neck before sliding his hands underneath your shirt, palming gently at your breasts.
“spencer,” you sighed softly from his touch.
“please,” he muttered. “please, just let me please you.”
“okay,” you agreed, your hands pulling at his shoulders.
“thank, fuck,” he groaned before you helped him toss your shirt on the couch, leaving your bare chest on display for him. “you’re beautiful.”
“shut up,” you pulled his lips back to yours to silence him.
“no,” he mumbled with a smile on his lips. “you truly are, y/n,” he tried to tell you between kisses.
“what did i say, spencer?” you pulled back with an angry look on your face.
“before i actually do shut up, i need to tell you something,” his hands on your waist began stroking circles into your soft skin. “i ended things with maxine.”
“why the fuck didn’t you lead with that?!” you questioned.
“i saw you and i just-“
“god, i don’t care,” you muttered before pulling his lips to yours once more. “do something, spence,” you rolled your hips into his as you began to undo the buttons on his shirt. “i need you.”
he let his hand trail to the front of your body and enter your shorts once he looked at you for permission. his fingers danced over your underwear and found your clit quickly, rubbing gentle circles.
“stop teasing,” your hips bucked into his hand before you pulled his hair, he moaned into your mouth.
his fingers finally entered your panties, and he gathered the wetness that had been collecting before going back up to your clit, circling the bundle of nerves moderately slow.
“fuck,” you groaned, making him eager to please you. he picked up his speed on your clit before letting his fingers travel back to your entrance, slowly pushing to fingers in. “g-good boy, baby.”
his hips rutted up into your own upon the praise. he curled his fingers, trying to find that spongey tissue inside of you that would drive you mad. once he found it, he began thrusting his fingers into you, allowing his palm to hit your clit just right each time he slammed them inside of you.
“fuck, i’m so close,” you whined, sucking on his bottom lip before pressing a kiss to it. “keep going, baby.”
and boy did he go. he loved watching you come undone on his fingers, it would probably definitely become his favorite sight in the time to come. the way your lips hovered over his own, your eyes became hooded, and your moans wanton. when he let his lips travel to your neck and find the soft spot he somehow knew drove you crazy, he also let the one hand on your waist travel up and palm your breast, tweaking the nipple gently between his fingers and sending you over the edge.
he pulled back swiftly to watch you as you came undone. a sheen of sweat littered the high points of your face, your chest was heaving for air as your hips continued to fit into his hand as you came down.
“i need you inside me,” you muttered softly, almost afraid of his rejection.
“good,” he breathed out before grabbing your face and connecting your lips once more, you led the both of you to your bedroom.
you crawled onto the bed, and he undid his pants, throwing them aside and carefully navigating up to you once more.
“hi,” you smiled, your hands stroking his cheekbones.
“hi,” he whispered back, admiring the softness of the situation. “are you ready?”
“yes, please,” you nodded your head as he spread your legs, taking his place between them and lining himself up with your entrance.
“so tight, princess,” he groaned once he barely entered you.
“princess?” you quirked a brow at the nickname.
“yea, princess,” he chuckled before giving you another chaste kiss that you deepened, clenching around his dick once he was fully sheathed inside of you. “shit, do that again,” and you did. “fuck, you’re so good, baby.”
“please,” you pawed at his back as if that would push him to start thrusting. “fuck me.”
“you want me to fuck you, princess?” you nodded eagerly.
he slowly began thrusting in you before he rapidly snapped his hips. ever thrust of his hips meeting yours caused the sound of skin on skin clapping echo inside of your room. he brought his hand up to your face, gently cupping it and tracing your bottom lip before you took his thumb into your mouth. you sucked on his thumb, your tongue tracing his fingerprint. maybe that way you’d become a part of him forever, right on the tip of his fingers.
“fuck,” he moaned before he sped up even quicker. “touch yourself, princess. make yourself cum on my dick.”
you were already close - spencer could feel it. it only took a couple more seconds before you were clenching and unclenching around him, the fluttering of your pussy sending him over the edge. his hot cum spread into your stomach, filling you with a sense of warmth and satisfaction you hadn’t known you needed.
“so good, spence,” you muttered as he fucked his cum back into you, you hissed at the overstimulation.
“your mine, princess,” he pressed a soft kiss to your neck before pulling himself out of you.
“wrong,” you corrected. “you’re mine.”
“whatever you say,” he smiled, turning his head to look at you. “i’m sorry,” he said sincerely.
“yea, me too,” you sighed before sitting up, not looking at him.
“here,” he jumped up out of the bed. “let me,” he ran into your bathroom, not missing the chuckle that emitted from your lips. he returned with a damp, warm washcloth and got between your legs once more, this time eye level to your pussy. “fuck,” he whispered.
he used his fingers to spread your pussy open, admiring the way his cum was dripping out of your entrance, you pussy seemingly clenching around nothing. suddenly, his tongue was on your entrance and lapping up the both of yours arousal. your hand shot into his hair, gently tugging at it as he ate you out.
“so good, spence,” you ground your hips into his face. “please don’t stop-don’t stop!” you knew he wouldn’t stop as he pushed you over the edge for the third time that night. “god-fuck, yes!” you looked down to admire the man beneath you, smiling when you saw that his eyes were still on your face, watching you come undone.
“such a pretty pussy,” he squeezed your thigh before rising back up to give you a belated kiss. “now i can clean you up,” you both laughed.
for the first night in two months, neither of you worried about what was to come - even if you probably should’ve worried about work. you both were guarded by each other’s presence; nothing threatened to breach the security you had with one another. because, now, he was yours. and you were his.

  ----------------------
As the walls of the beach burned down after the 10 of hearts game, you removed your number band from your wrist.
Finally, you can work on your own and not be afraid with others that are superior than you… Especially now, you can now run away from Chishiya.
You were so angry… He has used you, not only you but including Arisu and Usagi for his filthy fucking plans. When you just thought that he loves you, that he feels something for you.
You walked towards Usagi, who was crying as Arisu has fainted from his injuries, “Usagi, I’ll… part ways with you two… I think I need to look for my own way.” You said, Usagi looks at you,
“You can come with us.”
“No… I don’t want to be a burden.” You said sadly, “And I want to run away from the mess that I was with…” you stopped as a tear fell down, “I was so in love with him, Usagi. If I stay with you, I might just break down multiple times and I might stop you from yours and Arisu’s objectives.”
“Are you sure?” Usagi asked, she placed Arisu on the ground gently, you nodded,
Usagi stood up, and went to you. She hugged you tight, “Thank you so much for the help you given us. I wouldn’t have seen Arisu again if it wasn’t for you and the others.”
You smiled, “’That’s nothing. I’m happy to be friends with you two. I’m happy to help whoever I’m close with.” You gently pat the girl’s back,
“I’m sorry about Chishiya. I thought he could be trusted.” Usagi said as she slowly withdraw from the hug that she has given you,
“Me too.” You said, “I’m so mad for what he did. He used us… He used me not just for his plans, but for his pleasure… I feel so dirty, Usagi.”
“It’s not your fault.” Usagi placed her hand on your back, tears slowly fell on your face, sobs wrack your body. You don’t know what to do anymore.
After picking your self up, you bid your goodbyes between the two, and left them. You walked by yourself, as you reached the bridge near the sea, someone has wrapped their arms around you from behind, “Leaving without me?” you heard a familiar voice asked,
You started to wiggle, you’re fighting his embrace, “You! You fucking asshole! Let go of me, you manipulative piece of shit!” you finally got out of his grasp, “Don’t you dare fucking follow me!”
You continued walking slowly, you heard him follow you. It angered you on how thick face he still is after what he has done. Usagi was almost raped, Arisu almost died, and then you were almost killed by militants due to Aguni’s orders. You saw his eyes, when he was praised by Aguni, there were no remorse at all. You saw his smirk it was filled with pride that his plan went well, because he has manipulated you into doing what he likes,
And to top it all off, everything what he said, every promise he has made…. He didn’t feel anything, when you almost died.
You started to run, run because you want to get away from him. You went the fastest as you can, never stopping. Never looking back. Your mind asked you to run, because your heart can’t take any heartaches, if he betrays you again.
Your body is giving up, you slowly stop. You don’t know where you are, but all that matters is your far away from him. Your heart is pounding fast, and you are breathing in and out quickly. Your tears started to fall then your knees gave up on you, you fell to your knees.
“I told you before, you can’t escape me.” You heard someone, You looked behind you and saw Chishiya, he was breathing hard, he chased you. You saw him walking towards you,
You immediately tried to stand up, but you were too late… He caught you by the wrist, you tried to break from his grip, but to no avail. He was making sure now that he can’t let you run by this time. You stopped fighting his grip…
“I love you.” You heard him say, you looked into his eyes and you slapped him on the cheek as hard as you can,
“If you loved me then why!? WHY?!” you screamed at him, “Why did you fucking use me!?” you stopped and took a breath, “I understood now, why you kept me for all these months, telling me that I was important to you. That you can’t lose me.” You laughed, “You knew that words wouldn’t get to me, so you needed something stronger, you used sex! Because you knew that I would grow feelings little by little, until I could no longer leave you by your side. “
It was true, you couldn’t leave him no longer. When Chishiya started to initiate plan, you asked to stay by his side, so you can be with him just incase that something would happen. But he insisted that you should stay with Usagi and then watch out for the militants, since Arisu was going to infiltrate the royal room and get all of the cards. You were so keen to stay by his side, so that you could save him if something was to fail in his plan.
“But now that you have used me for all of your lies, you left me alone to die!” You angrily said, as slowly tears fell again in your eyes,
Chishiya’s eyes were just intently looking at you, there were no emotions at all. “Now you’re here, you’re trying to get my emotions again. How will you use me again this time, Chishiya?”
“I’m sorry.” Chishiya said, as he slowly let go of your hands, “I miscalculated the plan. I should have… I should have taken you with me during the whole process. I thought that Arisu wouldn’t be that stupid to think that the safe would just hidden inside a cabinet. If I only knew, then I would have kept you by my side.”
You listened, but, still you’re angry,
“The time that you were being forced out the room after Aguni has given me the praise. I couldn’t bring myself to stop them from hurting you, that would ruin the plans that I made for many years. All I did was continue the plans that I did. After I did everything, I was going to go outside and will do my normal routine to watch and try to spy on people to know on where they would take you. But the game started, I tried to look for you everywhere, but when I saw you with Usagi and Arisu, I didn’t try to go near you…” he stopped, he was losing his composure,
“I felt bad after. I don’t feel bad on what I did to Usagi and Arisu. But I felt bad what I did towards you. The bruises that you have right now, is all because of me. I just watched everything on the second floor, trying to observe. I wanted to get to you. But I felt… shame.”
“Wow… You felt shame. Unbelievable. “, you said, “You never showed me any emotions, yet you come to me every night, using me for my body. Now you feel shame?”
All he can do is look at you, “Just leave me alone, Chishiya. I’ve had enough of your lies, schemes, and manipulativeness. I thought somehow you loved me.”
“I do.” He says, then he looked to the ground, still no emotions.
You scoffed, “No… You don’t. This is all a game for you.” You turned your back to him,
“Please don’t leave me…” He said, “I don’t beg at all, but for you I will. I’m trying my best to cope up with these feelings. I never had them before and I don’t want to lose it now. Because this is the only time I’ll ever leave my guard up for love.”
You started to walk, “I beg of you. I can’t protect you if you're too far away. I can’t lose you.”
“Do whatever you want, Chishiya. Beg, cry, even threaten me… I don’t care as of right now. “, You feel empty, your body hurts, so as your heart.
“Just leave me alone for a while. Please.” You said, then you walked away from him.
Thunderclouds >>>>>> Part 3
Chishiya knows he can’t leave you, so he’ll follow you secretly for now.

Patton wakes up to a happy song playing on his phone and his husband asleep next to him. He stopped the alarm, sitting up and stretching. Janus mumbled and turned to his side to look up at Patton tiredly. Patton greeted him with a smile and a kiss on the forehead, going to get out of bed to start the day. Janus grabbed his arm softly, almost complaining incoherently.
“We do this every morning, love. Can’t I just go make breakfast without you fussing about?” He asked as he reached for his glasses with his free hand and put them on.
Janus let go of Patton, squinting his eyes. “I have no idea what you’re talking about.” He sat up, letting the blankets fall off his chest and onto his lap. “We have never had this conversation before.”
“Sure, Jan.” With one last kiss on the cheek, Patton sat up and got dressed. Janus slowly followed suit. Patton brushed out his curls and grabbed his head of hair to get a short ponytail. The shorter hairs would fall out, which Janus would call adorable, but it annoyed Patton greatly. The compromise was a few brightly colored barrettes. Janus fixed up his own hair beside him. “Dang Janus, I think we look pretty good today!”
Janus raised an eyebrow with a smirk. “Yes, sure. Very fetching.” He looked like he wanted to say more but was cut off by an alarm on his watch. Janus put on his hat and walked out to the front door. “I must be off dear! If I don’t return by seven, assume that I have been kidnapped by my horrible fellow employees.”
Patton leaned against the wall next to the door. “Don’t be mean! It can’t be that bad to work with Roman and Logan, can it?”
His eyes turned dark from whatever he had experienced. “It really can.” Janus lightened up and opened the door. “Well, goodbye Patton! Remember to buy butter!”
The door closed and Patton was left with his own devices. He started by watering the plants, feeding the cat, feeding the turtle, drinking a glass of water, and feeding that murder of crows that started following the couple around a few months ago. Patton sat down on the concrete of the patio in the backyard. A few crows dropped random shiny things before flying off. He watched for a moment before picking them up, hoping to make an interesting necklace from them. Patton dropped them in a small plastic bag before moving to other things he needed to do. He didn’t have work on Mondays, so that’s when he preferred to do groceries and other errands.
It was slightly windy out, causing Patton’s cardigan to drift updraft. He gave the world a smile before walking around. A plane went by, supposedly going down towards the airport. He saw a woman chasing a dog with a leash running wild and helped her out. A group of kids were walking to school. And then he reached the grocery store. Patton went in only needing four things: Butter, bread, eggs, and bagels. He left with seven. They were out of butter too. Walking out, the wind seemed to have simmered down which he was very grateful for.
The walk back was always more frustrating. People were going to their jobs or having a day out with their families. Which meant doing the ten minute walk home with easily squishable foods was a lot more difficult. Patton was humming a song to himself when a biker collided with him, dropping the food.
“Ah, sorry man!” The person apologized.
“It’s okay!” Patton reassured, helping them up. “It’s just food. Are you alright though? That was quite the fall!”
“Oh- yeah! That was nothing.” They grabbed their bike. “Sorry about the eggs though. Have a good one!”
“You too!” Patton looked down at the food. The breads would be fine but half of the eggs had cracked and spilled over everything. He took out the carton and threw it away in the nearest trash can he could find before heading home. The cat lovingly named, Ladle, mewed at him loudly begging for attention. Janus didn’t want Ladle at first, insisting that Patton’s cat allergy was something important, but she quickly made him love her. Patton gave her a few scratches under her chin before sitting down on the couch. Ladle jumped up next to him before making her way to sleep on the windowsill. “Gosh Ladle, today has been an ordeal!”
She ignored him but he didn’t really mind. Talking to her was really just a thing for himself. Patton took a breath and decided to make lunch. Despite knowing that Janus’s lunch break wasn’t actually two hours long, Patton knew he would be on the bar stool for that duration before returning to work late. The door opened up and Patton finished making the second sandwich. Just on time.
“Hey dear! You really need to stop skipping work for-” Patton stopped as he looked up. “Oh, Roman! I didn’t expect to see you here…”
The man was covered in blood and seemed shell shocked. Roman looked over at Patton who was taking off his apron and getting a rag wet under the sink. “Pat… I’m so sorry.” Patton’s face fell before he continued but blinked away any fear and started cleaning up Roman’s face. “Logan and I, we tried to stop what happened but… Janus died.”
Patton clenched his fist around the rag and put it to his side, dropping it to the floor. He took a breath in but it broke as he felt his face warm under tears. Ladle meowed loudly in concern but Patton ignored it. Roman sat him down on the couch and hugged him. The rest of the day was a blur. He vaguely remembered letting Roman borrow some of his clothes so he could shower and clean up. Patton spent the rest of the day with a cat on his chest and the cucumber sandwiches completely forgotten.
Eventually Roman got Patton to drink some water and left him alone in the dark. Patton stared up at the ceiling. He wasn’t crying anymore, but his face left evidence of his sobbing. None of it felt real. It was supposed to be fine. But the problems kept coming. Ladle jumped off his chest and he made his way to the bed. The bed sheets were still messy from that morning. Patton collapsed down on his husband’s side of the bed and surrounded himself with the comforter. The wind was almost completely gone so the only sounds outside were people’s dogs and a few birds. He turned to lay on his back and fell asleep.

Patton wakes up to a happy song playing on his phone and his husband asleep next to him. He gasps and shoots upward with a start. Breathing heavily, Patton grabbed Janus’s arm and checked to see if he was real. Janus let out a noise of complaint and pulled the blanket over his head. Patton took in a deep breath and smiled through his tears. Just a nightmare.
“We can’t do this every morning, love. Let’s go get some breakfast, okay?” Patton put on his glasses and Janus sat up, letting the blankets fall from his head to his lap.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.” Janus stated sarcastically. “We’ve never had this conversation before.” Patton blinked in confusion but let it slide.
“Whatever you say, Janus.” His voice hurt from the crying. Patton gave his husband a kiss on the cheek and got out of bed to get ready for the day. He did his hair in a short ponytail and put in the barrettes to get the small curls out of his face. Janus fixed up his hair beside him. Patton couldn’t shake the dream however much he wanted to. “Janus? Do you ever get bad dreams about me… getting hurt?”
Janus looked at him curiously. “How hurt are you talking about?”
“I-” Patton was cut off by the alarm on Janus’s watch. He put on his hat but looked back at Patton with concern. He gave a smile. “Go to your job, we can talk at… lunch.”
They both walked to the front door. Janus kissed Patton briefly. “Okay, dear. If I don’t return by seven, assume that I have been kidnapped by my horrible fellow employees.”
“Hey!” Patton said, ignoring the feeling of déjà vu. “Be nice and be safe. Roman and Logan aren’t that bad.”
His eyes turned dark from whatever he had experienced. “It really can.” Janus lightened up and opened the door. “Well, goodbye Patton! Remember to buy butter!” The door slammed and Patton already knew that the grocery store probably didn’t have butter. He didn’t know why he suspected that but took a deep breath. Patton had things to do today that wasn’t about moping.
He started by watering the plants, feeding the cat, feeding the turtle, drinking a glass of water, and feeding that murder of crows that started following the couple around a few months ago. Patton sat down on the concrete of the patio in the backyard. A few crows looked at him and called in concern before dropping off shiny objects and flying away. He watched for a moment, confused, before picking them up. Patton dropped them in a small plastic bag before moving to other things he needed to do. It was time to do errands but he wasn’t sure that it was going to go well. It was windy outside and at the moment people were heading to their jobs and school so the world was going to be really busy. But he did anyway, like he needed to prove something to himself.
It was slightly windy out, causing Patton’s cardigan to drift updraft. A plane went by, supposedly going down towards the airport. He saw a woman chasing a dog with a leash running wild and helped her out after a second of confusion. A group of kids were walking to school. There wasn’t any butter and he shouldn’t have expected it there. Patton stared at the empty space before buying the other things he needed: eggs, bread, and bagels.
Patton looked around with caution as he walked back, carefully weaving between families and people down the street. He was halfway home when he heard the bike. Patton turned and saw someone about to run into him so he took a step back and tumbled into the grass, hearing the eggs break and scatter. The biker stopped and helped him up.
“Ah, sorry man!” The person apologized.
“It’s… It’s okay! Are you okay?” Patton asked.
The biker looked at them quizzically. “What?”
Right, they were fine. Patton gave a smile. “Oh never mind. Have a good day!”
The biker got back on their bike. “Sorry about the eggs. Have a good one!” They zoomed past him and Patton blinked away all his thoughts, forgetting to respond. This didn’t just feel like déjà vu. He finished walking home and put away the bread and bagels.
Ladle meowed for attention and curled around Patton’s shoulders. He pet her idly as he went to sit down at the couch. It was almost time for lunch. Patton thought back to the dream and took in a shaky breath. He had to make sure. With a moment’s hesitation, he called Janus’s burner phone. Patton knew that Janus said to stop spamming him with pictures of Ladle to his burner, because it could be bad and they could be caught with whatever illegal thing he was doing… But Patton needed to know. To warn him something was about to happen.. Probably.
“Patton? Why did you call me? You know that you can’t just-”
“Janus, something bad is going to happen. You need to be safe or hide or stop whatever you’re doing!” Patton was trying to stay calm but he kept remembering Roman’s expression and crumbling to the floor. He didn’t even know what happened.
He heard Janus say something incoherent to someone else on the other end of the line before responding directly. “You’re not normally like this Patton. Why am I in danger, exactly?”
The only issue with that was that Patton didn’t know the answer to the question. This would be so much easier if Patton knew what the fuck was going on. He felt his throat dry as tears welled up. “I… You just are. Please.”
“Okay, dear. I’ll be there so-” Janus was cut off by his own screaming. Patton stood up suddenly, yelling Janus’s name and got no response. The line went dead after a minute. He threw his phone at the wall, causing Ladle to jump off his shoulders and he stared at the hole he just created. It got blurrier the more he cried. Patton heard the door open with a bloody Roman who looked just as bad as Patton remembered from the dream, if it even was one.
Roman sat on the floor next to him and gave him a hug. “I’m so sorry, Patton, I’m so sorry.” This mantra was repeated for hours before silence fell between the two of them. The room darken around them and Patton finally got up and ushered Roman to the bathroom to clean off the blood and take a shower. He got out in Patton’s oversized clothes and watched Patton as he cleaned up the floor. “Do… you need to be alone right now or should I stay with you?”
The silence was filled by the chirping of birds and people’s dogs. Patton shook his head. “Please don’t leave me alone right now.” His voice was small but he wasn’t sure how much he was actually feeling at the moment. Roman and Patton decided to sleep on the couch together with Ladle nestled by Patton’s stomach. Their backs would kill them tomorrow but that wouldn’t matter. Janus died. Patton looked at Roman’s head before taking off his glasses and closing his eyes, hoping he wouldn’t dream.
-
Patton wakes up to a happy song playing on his phone and his husband asleep next to him. He opened his eyes tiredly, not bothering to stop the alarm. He looked over to Janus and frowned. He finally understood what was happening, and Patton was pretty sure that he hated the answer. With a sigh he turned off the alarm and decided full heartedly that he was not going to let Janus die today, however many todays that would take.
He grabbed Janus’s arm and pulled him into a hug. Okay, he would save his husband after getting a little support. Janus flickered open his eyes in confusion but hugged back. They stayed there for a while before Patton let go to sit up and put on his glasses.
“As much as I love your affection, this seems a bit early in the morning, even for you.” Janus pointed out. Patton kept putting on his clothes, half ignoring Janus, just trying to concoct a plan that would save him. Janus got off the bed and went in front of him as he finished putting on his shirt. “Patton. What is happening today?”
Patton looked at him with a determined smile and fear in his eyes. “You’re going to go to work and I’m going to take care of all the things here. Now go! We need to get ready for the day.”
Janus complied, pretending to shrug off Patton’s demeanor and put on his clothes. Patton did up his hair in a short ponytail and 4 colorful barrettes to hide the short curly hairs that were left. Janus barely finished his hair as his watch beeped. He gave Patton a kiss on the cheek before saying, “I must be off dear! If I don’t return by seven, assume that I have been kidnapped by my horrible fellow employees.”
“Yeah, mhm, don’t be rude to them. Be safe!” Patton responded walking out to the front doorway.
Janus gave a look but opened the door. “Well, goodbye Patton! Remember to buy butter!” The door closed and Patton took out his phone to text Remus. He needed a car and someone who wouldn’t ask questions. Remus was good at both of those. As he awaited the reply he quickly went through all his chores including feeding several animals and watering the plants. Remus sent back a reply with many curses and agreed to it. Wonderful.
With that a plan was in action! Follow husband to work and find out how he keeps dying and prevent it! Easy. Patton heard a loud car horn sound repeatedly outside his house and immediately knew that Remus had arrived. He walked outside, wearing his cardigan on his arms instead of around his shoulders to show that he was serious about it. Remus smiled and moved to the passenger seat instead of getting out completely.
“Uh, Remus?” Patton got into the driver’s seat and looked at his friend awkwardly. “I thought I mentioned wanting to do this alone?”
Remus put on his seat belt. “You did, but I’m ignoring you, fuckface! Whatever the fuck you’re doing seems like a fun time and I am extremely bored.” Patton scrunched his nose and pushed up his glasses before starting the car. He knew exactly how Remus was when he was bored and wasn’t a fan of dealing with it. Perhaps someone who kind of knew Janus’s line of work could be helpful. They started driving after Patton set up a GPS route to the workplace. Remus looked at it and back at him. “We’re visiting J-anus and my brother? OH! Are you going to prank them?! It’d be so exciting to set the entire building on fire!”
Patton’s hands tightened on the wheel and glanced at his friend. “No, you know I don’t condone killing people with arson. We’re here to hopefully prevent something that’s going to happen.”
“What’s going to happen? Murder without arson?”
He stopped at a stop sign before making a left turn. Patton shrugged as he corrected the wheel. “I don’t actually know. That’s what I’m going to find out though.” It couldn’t hurt to be honest with Remus, seeing as he didn’t know if the next day was even going to exist in the first place. With a few gross conversations that led to vague responses from Patton, the two finally reached their destination. To find out what the fuck was going to happen to Janus. They walked up to the front building, Patton had a smile on his face that was apparently intimidating according to the reaction of the receptionist. “Hi, sorry to disturb you I was just wondering if Janus Lyre-Hart is in the office today? I’m his husband.”
“Sorry sir... He’s, he’s not actually here today? He was sent on a field mission with two others to deal with an issue with the company.” She stated nervously.
“Where did they go?” Remus asked with more seriousness than Patton had heard in several years. They were told the location and drove there together. Remus had seemed to gage the seriousness of the situation and adjusted SOME of his actions accordingly. “Do you think you’re going to find their entrails all over here or something?” Some actions.
Patton sighed and slammed the car door shut, looking around the place. Just a bunch of buildings. The place seemed completely normal. He noticed a few crows over an old blue wooden bar that didn’t appear significant. Patton started walking towards it and Remus followed, taking huge steps to keep up. The door creaked open and a few of the birds flew away. Patton peaked in and Remus knelt over to peak through underneath Patton’s head. The place was empty. The two stepped in.
“This isn’t as planned out as I’d like.” Patton said, even though his real thoughts were ‘I can try again tomorrow anyway’. Remus walked around, kicking over an empty trash can. It fell over making a loud sound against the floor. Patton flinched but noticed something weird with the floorboards. He kneeled down. “Huh. Hey Remus? I think we just found a trapdoor.”
“Then let’s open it!” Remus exclaimed, and he slammed his fingers around the corners, pulling up. Patton bit a protest and helped. The door lifted and slammed down on, the force of which made a wave of dust fly up. Patton coughed before looking down. There was a metal ladder on one of the walls, small rectangular slots lined up evenly all the way down to the bottom of the tunnel; it was much lower down than he expected. Remus shoved past Patton and started climbing down. He looked back up. “Come on! I wanna see what’s down here! Like a sex dungeon or just a dungeon dungeon! With worms!”
The two reached the bottom and walked until they reached a point with two turns they could go. Remus mentioned splitting up but Patton thought that it was a bad idea. So instead, the two made a right turn right into Logan, Roman, and Janus running rapidly.
“We have to go!” Roman exclaimed, grabbing Remus and Patton. They all turned and started running through to the left turn. Patton tried to look back but Logan kept his head forward. They eventually got out of the tunnels in a different exit. Janus shoved everyone into the car while Logan started the engine. Patton put on his seat belt quietly. Roman turned to look at them from the passenger seat. “What the hell are you guys doing here?!”
“Looking for you shitheads!” Remus exclaimed. “Patton said that something bad was going to happen!”
Janus looked out the window of the speeding car and grimaced. He got out a gun and Patton fought himself to keep his eyes open. It was almost lunch time, it was almost time. “They’re tailing us, Logan!” Janus turned to Patton with softness in his eyes, and his tone became more controlled. “Why do you think something bad is going to happen?”
“Does this not count as bad to you, Janus?!” Patton exclaimed, Remus pushed his back down as a bullet hit the back window. Janus looked at the glass and shrugged. Patton groaned and leaned back on Remus’s shoulder before giving a glance to the back window. There were a few nicely dressed people with guns and were shooting sporadically at the car. “Seriously?! Jan, I can’t explain what’s going to happen because I wasn’t here originally but you have to be careful!”
“I am doing my best to be safe dear, but I also need to do my job.” Janus said coldly before opening the window and shooting back. Logan made a swift turn and Patton grabbed Remus’s hand for comfort. He felt scared and angry at the same time. Janus needed to trust him on this but only Patton even knew what was going on. Next thing he knew, Roman’s arm got shot. He screamed, dropping his weapon out the car window and leaned back on his seat. Patton didn’t see a gun wound in the dreams, so this happened because of the changes he made. The guilt didn’t have time to sink in when one of the bullets hit the car wheels. Logan cursed under his breath as the car swerved and narrowly avoided a tree; it instead flipped on its side. Patton swallowed an ongoing panic in order to unbuckle his seat belt and helped Remus and Janus out of the car. Logan and Roman got caught up with the airbags. Logan quickly unbuckled and maneuvered his way out.
Patton coughed and looked at the car. “So… what now? How do we get Roman out of there?”
“Well, we can’t move him because if he broke something that could ruin his vital organs or bones permanently.” Logan hummed, nonchalantly pulling Remus back from the car. “I think that the best thing we can do now is leave immediately.”
Remus pulled back from Logan’s grasp sharply. “And just leave him here? He could die!”
“We could also die, Remus!” Janus cut in, shaking. Patton froze up, staring at the door. He had a feeling it was already too late. Janus kept yelling, the cars started arriving and the gunshots got louder. But he couldn’t turn his eyes away from the car. It was on its side and even though Patton couldn’t see him, he imagined Roman’s pain. He couldn’t move. “-Atton! You have to get up! Patton! I’m not looping you into this!”
The others had run off, leaving Roman in the car, but Janus was dragging Patton as he blinked back into hearing others again. But it was too late, Patton heard Janus cry out and looked up to him with concern. “Janus? Are you okay?”
He shook his head, tears welling up and Janus hugged him. Patton looked down and saw blood seeping into his shirt. He looked up at his husband and smiled. “I’ll be okay! I’ll be better next time. You’ll be okay next time!” The light sky hurt so he closed his eyes. He felt Janus’s arms trembling around him and wanted to comfort him. But Patton felt like he was turning into static. “Next time will be better, I promise.”
-
Patton woke up to the same cheerful song on his phone, tired but ready to try again. He sat up and examined his chest. It looked normal and his breathing wasn’t hindered anymore but his brain wanted to believe he was in pain. Patton looked over at Janus, who was breathing normally too. He wasn’t even crying. Janus was okay, Roman was okay, he was okay. Right? If Patton just learned how to do better this time everything would turn out fine. So, he decided not to wake up Janus. Patton closed the blinds on the window and slipped back into bed and cuddled into Janus’s side. Even if his husband did wake up, he tended not to care about following what his job wanted him to do anyways. Whatever that job actually was.
Time passed and eventually Janus did leave. Patton tried to come with him but it didn’t work. And Patton wouldn’t consider himself as stubborn as Janus was. So he let him leave and got on his bicycle to follow him. Patton had visited one of the work locations before, for a potluck or Halloween party usually set up by Roman. It was a secretive place but loved to pretend it was just a normal business.
He walked in and saw Virgil. Which was a bit unusual, seeing as he didn’t actually work with the others either. Not like Patton had much room to judge if he liked to judge. He gave a smile and waved. “Hey, kiddo! What are you up to?”
Virgil waved awkwardly as he walked over, his other hand in his hoodie. “Sup, Pat. Logan wanted to ask something from me I guess? He was being vague about this place, as always, but I just finished. Why are you here?”
He hated lying and Virgil hated being lied to. Patton wasn’t exactly sure how to explain his situation without sounding like he was joking or really sleep deprived. He gave a glance to the receptionist and looked back at his friend. “I don’t really know what I’m doing here. But I am having quite a long day, if you want to talk about it over ice cream with me?”
Patton internally high fived himself for his wonderful pun that no one would get but him.
...
“So, we’re stuck in a loop and every time Janus dies when you don’t do anything but Roman died when you tried to mess with it?” Patton nodded nervously. Virgil thought it through while taking a bite of ice cream from his paper bowl. “That sounds like a personal hell if I’ve ever heard one. Especially for you. But from what you’ve said, the loop will probably end when you manage to save everyone. I’m not sure how exactly you’ll do that but I could help out.”
“You… aren’t freaking out as much as I thought you would.” Patton knew that wasn’t phrased as well as he wanted to, but he was curious about how Virgil felt about everything going on.”
Virgil put down the plastic spoon and made eye contact with Patton. He noticed just how shaky the man was. “Oh I’m absolutely panicking right now, but it’s probably better to deal with it when tomorrow comes or something. Nothing matters right now and that is terrifying to think about. My actions are actually useless. It’s not like I’ll remember what happened right now anyway, right?”
He shook his head. “So far I think I’m the only one who knows about it.” Patton decided he’d just not tell Virgil in the next loop, he didn’t see his dark strange son daily so that wasn’t an issue. Patton didn’t want to give Virgil a panic attack every single time they talked on this day. “What should I do about it? I’ve tried coming to help, or preventing it from happening, or doing nothing, but I’m still here.” Alone.
“Well, putting my pessimism aside for a moment,” Virgil started. “You could tell Janus, Roman, and Logan about what’s happening so they can avoid doing this specific job or whatever until they have a better fleshed out plan. Or… I don’t know, figure out what they’re doing and get to it first.” He opened his mouth before closing it again, and Patton guessed that he probably had another idea that would be upsetting to hear.
Patton leaned forward. “What’s the last one, Virgil?”
“Nothing!” Virgil exclaimed. He calmed down, letting go of the ice cream bowl. “It’s just that maybe you’re supposed to… accepthisdeathandworkthroughthegrief- I don’t know it’s stupid!”
“Oh…” Virgil looked away with his arms crossed. Patton looked down at his now melted ice cream. Roman would be at his house by now but he wasn’t quite sure that it mattered. He looked back up at Virgil, trying not to cry. “I mean I can try out the other things first, right? I really don’t want anyone I love to die if I can prevent it somehow.”
“I know, Pat.” No, you don’t, Patton thought bitterly. He felt guilty but he knew he stood by his thinking no matter how rude it was.
-
The next time he tried to just wake up earlier, which worked just as well as you would expect. So he called Roman as soon as he woke up instead and told him everything. “So that’s why you shouldn’t do anything about whatever the hell you found earlier today. It’s doomed to fail, and I believe in you kiddo but this absolutely isn’t going to work.”
There was a sigh from the other side of the screen. “Patton, you had a weird dream about a time loop? It happens sometimes, Padre. Janus and I aren’t going to die. Remus doesn’t even work here and you don’t even know where we’re going-”
“Yes I do Roman!” He fought back. One of Virgil’s suggestions was to figure out what the others were doing and to prevent it or solve it before the others did. Patton needed to gather information for that to even work though. “You’re going to an old abandoned blue building that used to be a bar! There’s at least two entrances to the tunnels underneath it and you had a direct route about a mile away from the bar.” Patton sighed, it was hard convincing people about this much of a reach. So, it was time for a different approach. “Look, maybe it is a weird dream but it’s not nothing. Can you at least tell me what you found so I know that you guys are going to be okay?”
He hummed, contemplating for a moment before sighing. “I can’t do that, Patton. Logan and Janus are already on my case about so many things I’m not adding another to the list. We’re going to be okay today, I promise that.” Patton clenched his phone as his friend kept talking. “I’ll visit you after we’re done today! Does that sound good, padre?”
“It sounds great Roman, see you..” Patton responded, ending the call.
True to his word, Patton did hear the door creak open. Roman cried into his arms while Patton just considered what he could do next.
-
“Logan, is there ANY way you could do what you’re doing today later?” Patton asked, while Remus was walking through the office idly. Logan gave him a confused look as if to indicate that he wanted more information. “I’m going to be straightforward here-”
“Good luck attempting that.” Remus cut in. Logan and Patton stared at him for a moment. He shrugged. “Just saying. Keep talking about your psychic powers or whatever.”
“I’m going to be CLEAR about this.” Patton mended. “Whatever happens at your job today will end with Janus being shot and killed. I can’t really explain why, but you need to do this tomorrow, or plan something. I don’t know! This is really dangerous and I want everyone to be okay.”
There was a moment of silence between the three of them. Logan sat in his seat, thinking everything over while Remus had paused reorganizing the bookshelf to spell ‘penis’ with the first letters of the book titles. It was so silent that Patton could hear the shuffling of people walking through the halls, and the caws of birds that suspiciously sounded like crows. He took a breath and looked at the ceiling to keep himself from crying. Patton knew that he looked like a mess. He was wearing his cardigan instead of around his shoulders and he was so focused on leaving as fast as possible that his hair was completely neglected.
Logan cleared his throat. “It would be unwise for us to completely postpone our mission today.” Patton sniffed and Logan continued through seemingly unaffected. “But I suppose it would be wise to make sure we have bulletproof vests and show up more inconspicuously than we previously planned.”
“Thank you, Lo.” Patton’s voice was quiet, like a sudden breeze could shatter it.
Patton and Remus were ushered out. Remus suggested they go out to sushi to wait and see how it went. There was a place close by and Remus enjoyed eating raw meats. This was a type of food the two frequently compromised on. The drive was quiet if you tuned out whatever loud artist Remus played in his car. Patton didn’t know them but did know that they swore way more than he would normally listen to.
When the car stopped Patton didn’t move or do anything. Remus reminded him to unbuckle and get out of the car before he locked him in. He talked about not wanting his best friend to suffocate without any air and getting trapped by the safety lock completely and having to resort to eating his arm. No matter how grotesque his metaphors were, Patton appreciated knowing that Remus was there for him. He took everything Patton said in stride, not mocking or belittling him. He wasn’t a serious man and he didn’t have to be. Remus was passionate and would do anything for the people he cared about, regardless of how dangerous. Which was exactly why he had to make sure Remus and everyone else survived to some sort of future that didn’t exist yet.
The two picked up their sushi and ate there. Well, Remus did. Patton picked at his a little while listening to the ambient noises of the restaurant. “Do you think they’re going to be okay today?”
“I have no fucking clue.” Remus said. He paused to drink some of the soy sauce from the bottle. “But they stand a better chance with you fighting for them to finally use all those brain cells they’re hogging. I mean, do you hear that they weren’t even planning on wearing bullet proof vests? Do they want to become rag dolls at the end of this?”
Patton snorted, tears brimming his eyes. “I guess I really ragged on Logan, huh?”
Remus took all of Patton’s sushi in his hands and smooshed them together before eating the entire thing. With the food gone it was finally time to leave. When they arrived at the house there was already a car there. Roman’s car. Patton ran into the house to see Roman on the ground, looking very bruised with his hands covered in blood.
   “What happened?” He demanded.
“Patton?” Roman asked weakly, looking up at him. “Patton! I’m so sorry, Logan and I, we tried to stop what happened but… Janus died.”
His mind was racing, hearing Remus close the door behind him but he ignored it. “How?”
“He was… umm, stabbed to death. Are you okay?”
Roman’s question was ignored. Patton sat down at the table, turned away from the twins. Stabbed. Not shot. Of course they had multiple types of weapons on them. That was an oversight he couldn’t do again. He’d find a way to save them. They can bring their own guns or knives or they could be warned about what their enemies had prepared for them. Patton’s heart was racing as his hands gripped his head. He’d know what to do.
-
Patton watched expectedly as Roman walked into the door. “They beat Janus to death.”
-
Logan went into Patton’s house holding tightly onto his bleeding leg, with his other arm against the wall to keep his balance. The two made eye contact. “Roman and Janus died when they shot the tires of the car and it crashed. I’m the only one who made it.”
-
   “Janus was shot.”
-
“We just couldn’t save Logan I’m so sorry-”
-
“Roman was kidnapped and used against us. Janus thought they were bluffing about killing him but then they did.”
-
Janus died. Logan died. They all died and somehow Virgil found out before him. Roman and Janus died. Logan and Janus died. Janus died. Patton was pulling his hair out. Every time he woke up he had darker eye bags than the last time. He didn’t bother to watch as yet another one of his friends limped through the door at 3 PM on a sunny day ready to announce a tragedy.
   “Patton-”
“Who died?” He asked, cutting him off. Patton looked up to see Janus. There was blood coming from his nose that was ignored and drying over his skin. It wasn’t a very common version of this day. He showed up sometimes but Janus was very frequently the one dead. “I already know someone got murdered, Jan. Please just tell me how so I can avoid it next time.”
“What? Next time-” Janus sputtered, shaking his head before looking at Patton. “What the fuck does that mean?! Roman got suffocated to death- why… Do you know what happened? Patton, what’s going on?”
A question so simple with a very difficult answer. Patton stood up to help Janus walk to a chair. Roman. Strangled. How could he warn them about that next time? Janus was talking as Patton continued to walk around the kitchen but he wasn’t listening. He wet a towel and started cleaning up Janus’s face. Janus shut up and Patton gave a tight lipped smile. “I know you aren’t going to believe me but you, Logan, and Roman have been dying every single day for me and I’m trying to make sure you’re all okay in the end. So, next time I’ll tell Logan about things to avoid doing that didn’t work out this specific time. As long as I mess with the timeline something different will happen. One of these days will turn out okay.”
Unless they don’t. Unless he really just has to accept it like Virgil said.
“So you’ve just been handed the world’s most traumatizing time loop?” Janus asked. Patton removed the bloody paper towel and threw it in the trash can. He nodded. “How long have you been stuck here? Just knowing that one of us dies?”
“I don’t know.” Patton answered honestly. He spent so much effort trying to save his friends he hadn’t bothered to keep track of time. Janus rested his hand on Patton’s arm for the littlest amount of comfort. Patton looked up at him with a sad smile, tears brimming his eyes. “What do I do? I can’t get you to stop, you won’t let me come with you, and I don’t want anyone to be hurt anymore.”
They both looked so hurt. Janus had bruises setting in just about everywhere and he winced whenever he made a movement too big or too fast. Patton just looked tired. So incredibly tired, as if he had woken up after a fitful night sleep decades ago and never went back to bed. Janus tried to say something but stopped himself. There was no clear cut answer. Why would there be? It was like he had said earlier, the world’s most traumatizing time loop and Patton was the only one with a ticket to the ride. How do you stop something that’s only goal is to make you suffer? He thought about what Virgil said and grimaced.
Patton fell into Janus’s lap and sobbed. This wasn’t fair, none of it was! And Virgil had to be right about everything. He had to let his husband die. Patton whispered his apologies over and over until he felt like he couldn’t breathe. He couldn’t figure out a way to save him; perhaps there wasn’t a way to save him at all.
-
Patton wakes up to a happy song playing on his phone and his husband asleep next to him. He didn’t stop the alarm, he didn’t do anything. Janus woke up with a yawn, only to see Patton staring blankly at the ceiling above him. The world felt devoid of life, like the more Patton looked, the world would pause before draining away before him. Janus gave him a shake, asking if he was okay, but Patton didn’t answer. It was no use. Nothing he did would work in the end anyways. Why try? Janus seemed more worried, not a common look on him. Patton looked him over and gave a smile. Would this be the last time he’d see him?
“Are you okay?” He asked, when Patton finally sat up. Patton gave him a hug and let go of it before he wouldn’t be able to. “Patton, do you need me to stay with you?”
“No, I’m okay.” The lie was breathed to life almost hesitantly. His voice felt raspy. Patton knew that this was the right thing to do, but it hurt so much. Why did it have to hurt so much? “Just, just go to work and I’ll be alright.”
So Janus did, and Patton was alright. Janus wasn’t. When Roman came to tell him of the news, Patton was still in bed on his husband’s side. Roman stayed after taking a shower, but his attempts to help were in vain. The world was draining away and there was nothing that could stop it. Roman was sleeping on the floor, holding Patton’s hand.
-
It kept repeating. Making Patton live the pain every single day, which wasn’t fair. He still cried when Roman would tell him that Janus died. He still made sure that Roman got cleaned up, but nothing changed. Patton couldn’t make it to yesterday, despite trying so hard to move on. Eventually he decided to keep up the routine he would normally have, trying to show the world that he was going to be okay, but that didn’t work either.
   Nothing did.
-
He watered the plants, fed the cat and the turtle, had a glass of water, and hung out with that murder of crows that started following the couple around a few months ago. Patton threw some food at the ground in front of them before sitting down on the patio. He wasn’t really sure what to do. Going to the store probably wouldn’t be helpful, unless he managed to avoid the biker eventually. Janus was already at work and in danger already. Patton sighed and fell to his back. A crow cawed at him.
“What should I do?” He dragged his hands over his face. None of the birds responded, outside of the one that hopped onto his calf. Patton decided that was a sign to go grocery shopping, despite knowing they wouldn’t have all that’s on the list.
It was slightly windy out, causing Patton’s cardigan to drift updraft. A plane went by, supposedly going down towards the airport. He saw a woman chasing a dog with a leash running wild and helped her out. A group of kids were walking to school. And then he reached the grocery store. Patton went in only needing four things: Butter, bread, eggs, and bagels. He already knew they didn’t have butter, but put the rest in the shopping basket. Patton’s hand hovered over Janus’s favorite candy. He blinked slowly, taking a deep breath in and out, before throwing it into the basket. It wasn’t a horrible thing to indulge anyways.
Walking out, the wind had calmed down. He carefully carried his bags, skillfully dodging out of the way of the biker for the first time. Patton stopped walking to watch the person continue on, not knowing about the collision that had occurred between them before. The rest of the way was uneventful. He put away the groceries and decided to make something for Roman when he was going to stop by.
He made some sort of water based soup, Patton wasn’t sure which because he grabbed the one closest to him, only checking the label to make sure it wasn’t cream based. Last time he hadn’t, Roman got really sick. Just as Patton had finished, the door opened. He didn’t say anything and instead got a rag from a cupboard and turned on the hot water.
Roman limped in and leaned against the wall. “Pat, I’m so sorry.” Patton nodded silently, running the rag underneath the sink and started cleaning up the blood on Roman’s face. “Logan and I, we tried to stop what happened but… Janus died.”
Patton’s heart pinged in guilt, still feeling like he could do something. He took the rag off Roman’s face. “Yeah, I know. How about you go take a shower, Roman. You can borrow my clothes for tonight.” Roman had a confused expression but seemed too out of it to say anything. Patton took out some of his clothes, not able to go through Janus’s shirts. He set it outside the bathroom door and spent the rest of his time petting Ladle idly. None of this felt right.
-
It couldn’t be the right way to go about this, seeing as he awoke again with Janus next to him so many times after. But Patton didn’t know what he COULD do. He stood up a bit too quickly but ignored it. Patton decided he’d finally start putting up his hair again. Not that anyone would know how long he hadn’t bothered to but himself. It would just help. He put in the barrettes and stared at himself in the mirror for a few seconds. Sighing, Patton tied the cardigan to finish his look. Janus walked into the bathroom, brushing his incredibly long hair. He was dressed for work but had yet to grab his hat.
“Hey love, can we talk before you go to work?” Patton asked. Usually he’d be nervous about Janus misinterpreting his tone but currently things like that haven’t really mattered to him.
“Well that’s not ominous at all.” Janus replied as he nodded. He put his hair in a bun and put his hat on top. There was a strip of hair loose, highlighting the scarred side of the man’s face. The two walked to the living room. Upon seeing them, Ladle jumped off the couch and ran into the bedroom presumably to hide under something. “What did you need to talk about?”
Patton took a breath, taking in all the ways this conversation has been messed up before. “You can’t go to work today. I know what you’re going to say-”
“This day is really important,” Janus interjected while Patton said it at the same time as him with a sense of boredom. Janus narrowed his eyes. “Have you been hanging out with Remus more often? There’s no way you were able to copycat that well without practice.”
“Yeah, I guess you could call it practice if you wanted to.” Patton chuckled to himself. “But we’re getting distracted. If any of you guys, including Roman and Logan, go do the thing you need to do today you will die. It won’t be pleasant, and it will happen no matter how many precautions you decide to take. So please, take the day to plan this out better or something. But you can’t risk anything.”
Janus was very taken back but scoffed, to hide the fact he was worried. Patton knew that he wasn’t just going to give in without good reason to. He didn’t want to pull the ‘time loop’ card if he didn’t have to. If he could just move onto tomorrow with no one knowing what had happened he would be satisfied. “We are always careful, Patton. Why do you think today’s going to be any different? We haven’t died yet!”
“But you will! I don’t THINK today’s going to be different, I. KNOW. SO.” Patton was trying to stay as calm as possible, but it really sucked to do that. “If you want me to explain, I can, but it would be so much better for you just to trust me. Please.”
“Patton. I want to know what’s going on. Are you being threatened or something? Why do you believe we’re going to be hurt?” Janus asked.
He took a deep breath, Patton’s heart was breaking faster than his patience. “I’m not being threatened, Janus. I’m stuck. I’m stuck watching you die every single day, only learning when Roman comes into our house at 3 PM when I expected you to sneak out of your work place to eat food with me. And I can’t do anything about it or someone else I care about dies! So I’m stuck! Stuck knowing that it’s going to be windy today, that a biker will break the eggs I bought at the grocery store, and that I got other things there to compensate for the fact that the store doesn’t have butter!” His voice broke as he looked at Janus after he ranted loudly. “I’ve been on this day that it’s easier to focus on my small inconveniences instead of the fact that my husband dies today and I can’t do anything.”
Janus walked over to him, giving Patton a hug. Patton didn’t hug back but put his head on his chest. Everything was silent between the two of them. Janus rubbed circles into Patton’s back. Neither of them were crying. Patton had run out of tears for a long time, and Janus didn’t know enough to understand how horrible the situation was. After a few minutes, Patton pulled back. Janus looked at him, with undivided attention.
“Will you tell the others that the plan today has changed?” He asked. “I can’t let you go into danger. Not when I can do something about it.”
“At this point it would be stupid of me not to. Want to come with to make sure none of the other’s fuck up this day?” Janus suggested, Patton gave a weak smile. “I’ll work hard to not die today by planning ahead and having common sense. It might be quite difficult if your rants suggest anything.”
“Hey,” Patton interjected softly. “You have common sense! I’m not exactly sure how you die but you probably try very hard not to do it. Don’t degrade your worth, Janus.” It was ironic, seeing as how much Janus promoted taking care of yourself and your own self worth in general. Patton tried to get his normal energy but it fell short. He almost literally fell too, but Janus caught him and stood him back up. “I’ll… physically fight you.”
“Of course you will, let’s go tell the other’s okay?”
Patton watched as his friends huddled around Logan’s desk coming up with some sort of game plan. He was trying to listen but his exhaustion caught up to him and he mainly focused on staying awake. Roman gave him a concerned look before he kept talking. Clearly, the three were talking about him. The whole reason this was happening was because of Patton. He let Janus argue his points and kept his attention on staring at the small things on Logan’s bookshelf. It was uniform, organized by the author's last name. The only deviation being the small nick knacks and items that the other’s gave him over the years. Patton smiled, even though Logan didn’t see the purpose of the small toys, he still kept them. Things like this reminded Patton how much he loved his friends.
“Okay, what dangers are there that we aren’t prepared for?” Logan asked.
Janus thought for a moment, and looked at Patton. He just barely started listening again. “I wouldn’t really know. What about you, Patton?”
He looked up seeing all of them looking directly back. Patton took a breath. “Well, they have a whole range of weapons. If you aren’t immediately shot and manage to get into the car they’re going to shoot the tires. You could be strangled, hurt in the car wreck, manipulated into a situation where you could put someone else at risk…” Patton trailed off awkwardly. Logan, Roman, and Janus all made eye contact for a brief moment. Patton liked to imagine they could all talk to each other telepathically, even though Logan didn’t think that was logical.
“This seems like a lot,” Roman commented. “Are you sure that you’re not just overthinking every single thing that can go wrong? That sounds more like Virgil’s thing if we’re being real-”
Logan looked at him, confused. “Of course we’re being real, but I don’t see what that has to do with it.” Janus looked like he wanted to cut in but decided not to say anything, simply clearing his throat instead. “Roman the entire point of our job is to make sure we’re prepared for any given situation, why is that a problem?”
“Well, uh, it just-” Roman sputtered through his sentence. “Without taking chances and trying to plan everything out we’re not going to get anything done! How can we be expected to save anyone from danger if we spend all day just thinking about what COULD happen?”
“Without planning at all we’re not going to be able to save ourselves!” Janus argued back. “And if we die that’s not going to do anyone any good.”
He looked over at Patton with a small smile, signalling that he was going to stand up for his side of the argument, which was comforting. Janus was a very persuasive person. But in the end, Patton didn’t care what conclusion they went to as long as they lasted to the end of the day. Logan looked between his two coworkers and friends, sighing. “Well clearly we need a healthy balance instead. If we put too much weight on taking risks or preparing, it won’t be productive either way.”
“So…” Roman started. “Yerkes-Dodson curve again?”
Logan looked at him, unimpressed. “Yes, the Yerkes-Dodson curve again.”
He didn’t really understand what that was referencing, but Patton decided to speak up again. “So you’re going to spend the rest of the day coming up with a flexible but concrete plan for tomorrow?”
“That does sound like the consensus.” Janus shrugged. No one else argued.
By the time the three were done planning, Patton had fallen asleep on the chair he was on. Janus gently picked up his husband on his back. Patton’s arms fell loosely around his neck as he was coming out of unconsciousness. The car ride was quiet, and they reached home. Janus waved to Remus before heading inside, helping Patton follow along.
It was 6 PM. The longest that anyone had lived on that day. Patton was suddenly awake when he realized that. His grip on Janus’s shirt tightened significantly. But the two still didn’t say anything. Patton took out his barrettes and ponytail. He shook out his hair, looking at himself in the mirror again as he took off the cardigan. Janus was making a quick dinner for the two of them. Patton had to keep reminding himself that Janus was still there, still alive. He almost believed that something would keep going wrong, and that wouldn’t be fair. None of it seemed fair though, so it was possible. Patton gave himself a nod. “It’s going to be okay.”
After they ate, Janus and Patton got into pajamas. They laid on top of the blankets, holding hands despite facing opposite ways. Janus cleared his throat. “What are you going to do if today repeats again, Patton?”
“I don’t know.” He answered honestly. “I mean obviously I’ll try to keep you all alive but I’m going to try different things. This is the closest I’ve ever gotten. I keep thinking that you’ll die in front of me or that Roman and Logan already died and I just don’t yet. Virgil suggested that I might just have to accept the fact that you’re going to die. I certainly don’t want that to be true.”
Janus nodded solemnly. “I mean I guess it’s finally been proven that I can die now.”
Patton hit him softly with his free hand. “No jokes! This is a serious time, we gotta be serious.” Janus gave him a look, some mix between mock offended and trying desperately not to laugh. “JAn! Stop trying to make me laugh- no stop poking my face- I’m trying to have a conversation with you-” He was cut off by his own laughter, followed by his husband’s laughter. Patton’s laugh turned into crying. The two sat up. “You’ll be okay, right Jan? I don’t want this to be the last time we joke around like this. I’ll miss you so much.”
There was a pause, and then Janus cradled Patton’s check with one of his hands. “You’re strong, Patton. If anyone had the moral capability to save everyone repeatedly, it would be you. Then again, I’ll ask you to consider taking up a therapist when you do get out of the time loop, regardless of the end result.”
“Fair enough.” Patton allowed Janus to pull him into a kiss. It was short. When they pulled away Patton pulled them into a hug. “Can you stay up with me until twelve? I want to make sure that tomorrow will actually come.”
   “Of course, dear.”
Time passed. Patton and Janus mostly just bothered Ladle when she went into the room, talked about things that didn’t matter, and kept each other company. Patton checked the clock on the bedside table and his phone with basically every free thought he had. Janus tried to distract him with a movie playing on his laptop, but his hand remained on his phone. They finished the movie when it turned 11 PM.
“So, should we play another movie or just scroll on our phones or something?” Janus asked. Patton hummed for a moment, giving a look. Janus narrowed his eyebrows, feigning suspicion. “Oh, you want to do a special thing don’t you?”
“Yeah,” Patton relented. “Something simple though! I haven’t made any of the loops, so it’s been awhile for me. Please? If we start now we might be able to finish before midnight!”
So they made cookies. Despite being on a time limit, the two spent plenty of it messing around. Janus ate some of the cookie dough after the chocolate chips were put in despite Patton’s insistence not to. But after a very small amount of convincing, Patton ate cookie dough as well. Janus put in the first batch of cookies at about 11:47. So maybe they should have rushed just a little bit more. Patton looked at Janus, with innocence in his expression but mischievousness in his heart. “Looks like we’re in a real time crunch now, huh?”
“Patton. We have been married for three years and four months but I’m willing to end it there if you continue to keep doing this to me.” If someone who didn’t know Janus heard him say that, they would’ve believed that he was being completely honest. Patton though, just laughed proudly. Janus sat on the floor, across from the oven, watching the cookies and pretending not to pay attention to Patton.
“Come on, Jan!” Patton exclaimed, shaking his shoulders. “If this really is the last of the time loop I got to end with a sweet pun!”
Before there could be any more arguments, or god forbid, puns the timer went off and the first batch of cookies were done. Patton took out the tray as Janus put in the next one. The two checked the time. 11:58. Janus lifted the cookie. “Looks like there’s no time to let it cool. I want to have at least one cookie if the day is going to reset anyways.”
“Well, I guess just this once, it’s okay.” Patton said, picking up his own cookie. He looked at the clock to see they only had one minute left. Patton made eye contact with Janus. “If this day repeats, I just want you to know that I’ll never stop until I save you.”
“I know.” and they both took bites into the cookies.
Patton looked at the clock after a moment. He chewed and swallowed the cookie, seeing that it was 12 AM. Patton looked quickly back at Janus, who was there and alive. Janus put down his cookie just as he was enveloped in a hug. Patton was crying already, holding onto him like he was going to disappear at any moment. “You’re alive! You’re alive… It’s finally over. I’m not stuck anymore.”
He cried into Janus’s shoulder, finally breathing in a new today.

“Natural” - Chapter Four - Embry Call x Reader
Tumblr media
Baking Cookies
When I awoke in the morning, the spot where Embry’s body laid was empty.
I rolled over onto the pillow he used and immediately was greeted with the scent of him. I smelt the teakwood scent of his shampoo, deodorant, or cologne of sorts.
I smiled to myself, figuring it was after I told him I loved the smell of my new mahogany teakwood candle I bought four years ago. Since that day, he switched over to stuff that smelt that way. My mind raced back to the day in question.
Embry walked into my house, a little earlier than Jake and Quil would arrive.
“Hey Em, what’s up?” I look up from the couch. “Not much.” He smiles at me like a doofus from the doorway.
“Come on Em, sit down.” I pat the spot next to me.
He plops down next to me, my senses invaded with one of my favorite scents. I turn and look at him, sniffing the air surrounding him.
“What’s up, bean?” He asks, raising his eyebrows. Acting completely oblivious.
“Em, you smell so good, that’s my favorite scent.” I move closer to him.
“Oh, is it?” He asks innocently.
“Yeah. Just like my candle, remember?” I look up at his face.
“Oh wow, so now I’m just gonna be a candle to you?” He laughs.
“No, you’ll be my walking air freshener.” I smile, burying myself deeper into his side before the other guys would soon arrive. Ruining my moment with Embry.
Though we weren’t dating back then, nor mentioned any deeper feelings, our physical contact always implied more. Embry always held me like I was a bubble about to burst-- only when we were alone, of course.
I cherished Embry’s touch more than I would’ve liked to admit back then, and I hoped he had felt the same.
I open my eyes, thanking life and whoever was in charge of it for making Embry my soul mate. I never thought I would hear Embry say the words he did, I always thought neither of us would grow the balls to do it.
I stand up, walking over to turn the lights on. I saw a note on my desk out of the corner of my eye.
Good morning bean. Sorry I had to leave. I didn’t wanna tell your dad we were dating by him catching us in your bed and I told my mom I would make breakfast for her today. Text me when you wake up.
         Love,
        Embry
I smile at the sweet gesture, holding the note to my chest.
I check the time, seeing that it’s only seven in the morning. I figured that since today was my dad’s first day back to work since we moved here that I should make him breakfast and coffee. He wasn’t going to wake up for another half an hour.
I go downstairs and start making pancakes and muffins as I turn the coffee maker on.
About a half an hour later, I hear my dad shifting around upstairs, getting ready for work. He was due to leave at 8:30, so by then everything would be done and warm.
“Hey what’s up kiddo? You’re up early.” I hear from behind me in the kitchen entryway.
“I figured I’d make you breakfast today. First day back at work, ya know.” I smile at him, putting the plate of pancakes down on the table next to the cup of coffee.
“Thank you. I appreciate it, it smells great in here.”
“That’s the chocolate chip muffins.” I say as I begin to take them out of the oven.
We sit and chat, talking about how my day went yesterday.
“So you and Embry, is that finally a thing?” He asks, eyes raising and putting more pancakes in his mouth.
“I mean, kinda.” I smile at my plate.
“Billy, Harry, and I were talking about it. Well we talked about all of you, actually. Apparently Jacob is still chasing Bella like a lost puppy. But we all talked about when you and Embry would finally do something about your whole ‘situation’ you’ve got going there.” He says, waving his finger in a circle as he talked about our ‘situation.’
“Wow, good to know you were all in on this.” I chuckle.
“Listen, we’ve all been waiting for a wedding since you guys were like four.” He laughs, hands up in the air, feigning innocence.
“Very sweet.” I say snarkily.
“Regardless, I’m just happy to see you happy again.” He smiles at me, eyes showing true appreciation and happiness.
“Thank you dad.”
That’s the thing about my dad, he really only cared about my feelings and what was the best for me. He too, was one of my best friends, but the father that he needed to be, too. He really did the whole “dad” thing well. As well as the whole “mom” thing, considering my mother left us when I was four.
The one thing I took from that shitshow was that you can’t force people to love you, or to be in your life. Sometimes I wonder about where she is, or if she misses us. But most of the time, I couldn’t be bothered. My dad raised me better than she ever could have, I have no regrets growing up with solely him. He was the best father I could ask for.
“Oh and one more thing.” He looks up from the paper.
“Yeah?”
“Tell Embry that if he’s trying to be sneaky, that he’s really bad about it.” He sips his coffee.
“What?” I choke on my pancake.
“I’m just saying, I was on the couch when he carried you in last night. I think you were asleep, but I never heard him come back down. He’s not still upstairs, right?” He looks at me, raising his eyebrows.
“Oh god no, dad. I was asleep, yeah. But no he didn’t sleep over. No clue how he left or when because like I said-- dead asleep. He had to drive my car home.” I took a sip of my water.
“Alright. I like him, (Y/N). But, don’t push it. I know you’re an adult now, but just… be careful. And let me have my own sense of peace.” His eyebrows furrowed together, almost cringing at what he was saying.
“Oh god, no dad. Please don’t do this now. Tiffany Call gave me that talk years ago to spare me from this situation exactly. We aren’t doing… that.” I say, uncomfortable talking to my dad about Embry and I’s potential sex life.
“Oh thank god. So you know how that all works, right? You know not to be stupid?” He asks, eyes pleading with mine.
“Yes, dad. Oh god please don’t do this to me. I don’t even know when that would happen, just don’t do this. I’m trying to eat.”
“Great. Good. I’m going to work now, make good choices.” He puts his plate in the sink, kisses my head goodbye, and practically sprints out the door.
“Holy shit.” I mumble to myself, playing with my food on the plate.
I text Embry a good morning and clean up my mess from breakfast.
I see that it’s not even 9:30 yet by the time I’m done and decide to get some more stuff done in my room.
I text in the groupchat that includes Jake, Quil, Embry and I.
“So dorks, what should I bring to the hangout/bonfire tonight?” I text.
“Anything edible, always.” - Quil
“I second that notion.” - Jake
“I mean, I was gonna say just yourself. But I’m down to eat whenever.” -Embry
“Come to my house at 5.” - Jake
“You got it boss.” I reply.
I received a call from Embry, telling me he was going to come over to my house in a few minutes.
I started to get all the ingredients together that it would take for me to make an absurd amount of cookies, not knowing how many people were going to be there. Plus getting a glimpse into how much the guys ate the last few days tells me that I would never have too much.
Within five minutes of Embry’s phone call, there was a knock on my front door.
I open it to see a smiling Embry, warming my heart. I hug him and pull him inside.
“How did you get here so fast?” I ask.
“I ran here, bean. I’m fast ya know. It took me like a minute.” He shrugs as he reaches behind me, grabbing a muffin off the counter, smiling.
“Oh like, in wolf form?” I ask, curiosity dripping off my tongue.
“Yeah, how else? Did you make these? They’re great.” He licks the crumbs off his lips, before bending down and kissing my forehead.
“Yes I did, thank you. That’s crazy, Em. Do you think you could maybe, show me one day?” I look at him with pleading eyes.
“Sure thing, bean.” Another kiss, but this one on the tip of my nose.
“And now you can help me make a disturbing amount of cookies.” I smile, throwing my finger guns in the air.
“I mean, if I must.” He teases, pulling me into him.
We began our baking fiasco. Chaos ensued quickly.
Embry flicked a smidge of flour at me, landing on my face and shirt.
“Em… did you just?” I ask, narrowing my eyes.
“I may have, may not have.” He looks at me with a questioning face.
I took a bigger pinch, flicking it at him.
“Oh bean, you don’t know what you just started.” He smirked.
“No, Emb-” I was cut off as I was lifted over his shoulder, being spun around.
Our laughter echoed blissfully through the empty house.
“Put me down!” I shout, laughing too hard to breathe, slapping his back in an effort to get him to do as I asked.
“Never.” He laughs.
“Embry, I’m gonna get dizzy.” I giggle.
“Okay, fineeee.”
He places me on the counter, standing in front of me.
I looked deeply into his eyes, my hands finding their home in the hair on the nape of his neck.
His hands held my waist, pressing his forehead against mine.
“Please.” I beg.
He nods before he presses his lips to mine. Those soft, warm lips drove me crazy in the best way-- always leaving me starving for more. His every touch sent tingles up my spine. I slowly traced my tongue over his bottom lip, in which he just pressed his lips a little harder against mine.
“Sorry.” He pulled away breathlessly.
“For what?” I ask.
“I just, I want to take things slow. I promised it to myself, and you. You deserve that respect.”
“I don’t think you making out with me would make me think you don’t respect me.” I laugh.
“I know. I just want it to feel like it’s us, I want to go slow because of the bond. The bond makes it difficult to take things slow, but I want you to know I felt this way well before I imprinted.” He smiles softly.
“I understand, Em. Thank you.” I kiss his cheek.
“I’m so glad it was you. I always thought deep down it would be, but I couldn’t bear it if it wasn’t. I never wanted to hide this from you, and worse off I would never want someone else.”
“I’m so happy it was me, too. I can’t thank my lucky stars enough.” I smile at him.
We sit in each other’s arms for a few moments, until we decide it’s best that we get back to the baking.
Hours later, we had made like 75 sugar cookies. I was drained, and never wanted to see another oven again. But, the cookie dough was always a nice treat to sneak.
“This is enough, right?” I ask.
“Yeah, it’s enough to hold us over for five minutes.” He laughs.
“Five minutes?!” I exclaim.
“I’m just kidding… kinda. We all eat a lot. There’s gonna be other stuff there, too. We made more than enough cookies.” He laughs.
We pack them up and watch our favorite cartoons until it’s time to go over to Jake’s.
We pack the cookies in my car and head over.
“So how was breakfast with your mom?” I ask, turning my attention from the road to him for a second.
“It was good. She was happy to see me in the morning, opposed to me running around all hours of the night mysteriously.” He chuckles awkwardly.
“Why not tell her, Em?”
“She doesn’t need that. She’ll worry just as much, if not more. Knowing that this life really entails. She’ll get scared. It’s better to do it this way, believe me. I love her and I hate lying, but it’s better. Then it brings up awkward shit I don’t wanna talk about, this obviously came from my dad’s side. We don’t exactly talk about him, you know.” He looks at me with saddened eyes.
“I think I understand. I’m sorry Em. I’m here for you if you ever need to talk or get out of the house.” I rub small circles in the back of his hand.
“Thank you.” He looks at me with caring eyes.
“Of course. By the way, I made breakfast for my dad, too.” I stifle my laugh, trying to lighten the conversation.
“Oh, how was that?”
“He said you’re not good at being sneaky.” I laughed.
“What?” His face dropped, eyes widening, trying not to laugh. “Well, he said he was on the couch when you brought me in. Then he said that he never heard you leave, asked if you slept over. I told him you didn’t. I saved you, Em.” I smirk at him.
“Oh god, that’s great. Exactly how I wanted to see him again.” He groaned.
“He still loves you. Apparently him, Billy, and Harry were all trying to figure out how long it would take for us to get together. Apparently they all thought we would grow up and end up together.” I laugh.
“I know, my mom did, too. I told her this morning about us, she was really happy to hear about it. She wants to see you again.”
“I can’t wait to see her. Let’s do that this week.” I smile.
We pull up to Jake’s house and enter the small home.
“What’s up losers?” Paul calls from the couch.
“Hey Paul.” I wave from the end of the living room.
“Looking pretty still I see, huh?” He flirts.
I grabbed Embry’s hand as I felt him growing tense next to me.
“Shut up, Paul.” Embry hisses.
Paul raises his hands up in surrender.
“You got it man, I’m just being honest to my old friend.” He smirks.
He knew what he was doing, for sure. Paul used to love to instigate when we were younger. Can’t say I didn’t miss the fun jabs we used to have-- it was never boring with Paul around.
“Enough, Paul.” Billy rolls into the living room.
“Hey Billy.” I smile, walking over to say hello.
“Hey there, kid. I finally got to see your dad yesterday, had a great time. It’s great to have you both back. And how are you, Embry?” Billy looks over to Embry, who is basically velcroed to my back after Paul’s teasing.
“I’m good.” He smiled back.
He nods at Embry before smiling at me and rolling back into his room.
“You gotta chill, Paul. Embry’s gonna get mad now.” Quill laughs.
“I can take him.” Paul scoffs, smiling at Embry and I.
“Jeez, Paul. Ease up a bit. What did you get into today?” I ask, smirking.
“I’m just having fun! Can’t I torture Embry a little bit?” He laughs at me, throwing his arms up.
“Not about this, Paul.” Jacob scolds.
“Okay fine, I won’t make fun of you being whipped anymore.” He smiles.
I thump him in the back of the head after that one.
“Damn, (Y/N). Just as feisty as I remember. I missed having you around, you keep up with the banter well.” He laughs.
“Paul, there’s never a dull moment with you.” I roll my eyes, but he knew what I meant. I did miss his antics just a little bit.
Embry kissed the top of my head before we sat down with everyone. I took the couch and Embry took the spot in front of me.
I looked over to my left and looked at Jake.
“Hey, how did yesterday go?” I ask him, reaching out to grab his shoulder.
“Uh, complicated. But we have a grad party to go to this weekend.” He says, not looking from the TV.
“Complicated? How did it go?” I ask, concerned.
“We got into an argument.” He looks at me, shame spreading upon his face.
“What about?” I furrow my brows.
“Well, I thought we were having a moment. So I thought I should tell her again that he isn’t the only option. That I’m the better option for her. She wouldn’t have to change anything, be anything, she could just be Bella. I wouldn’t constantly put her in harm’s way.” He looks back at the ground.
“What did she say?”
“To stop berating her boyfriend and his family, because ‘I don’t know them’.”
“I’m sorry, Jake.” I empathize.
“Thank you. I just wish she would open her eyes and see what I could give her, I could give her so many things that he can’t.” He looks back at me with sad eyes.
“Well, I’m sorry, Jake. I really am. I don’t think you should sit and wait around for her, though. You need to live life for what’s best for you.”
“I’m not giving up until her heart stops beating.” He looks down at the floor angrily.
“Jake, she’s only like 18. That’s a very long time.” I pat him on the back, concern growing. “No, she wants to become one of them. She wants him to change her.” His jaw clenches, fists forming into tight balls.
“Jake…” I rest my hand on his, calming him slightly.
“(Y/N), I love her so much. I just don’t know how I could ever stop.” His voice cracks, looking back up at me.
“I know, I know. I think everything will work itself out one way or another. Maybe you’ll meet someone, and Bella will be less than a distant memory. You still never imprinted.” I reason.
Quil looks at me, shaking his head no quickly. I give him a confused look.
“If I imprint, if. Even so, I just want to love who I love, not whoever my genetics tell me I should. I want a say in my future. Not everyone gets lucky enough to imprint on their best friend they loved their whole life.” He glances over at Embry, glaring in his direction.
“Jake… Don’t do that. That’s not fair.” I whisper.
He lets out a sigh.
“I’m sorry.”
“Think of it this way, you know for certain that she isn’t your soulmate-- you know this isn’t what fate intended. I know you understand what I’m saying, you just don’t accept it. But once you do, you might realize that there’s more to life than Bella. You can still love her as a friend, but there’s something more for you out there than her. You are destined to love someone so intensely, so intense that 99% of people will never be lucky enough to experience it. You’ll have a love so pure it couldn’t even be put into words. You deserve the world, but Bella won’t be giving it to you. You have to support yourself, do things for you. You’ll meet someone along the way who will turn your world upside down, I just know it. I just wish it would be easier for you, sooner.” I smile at Jacob softly at the end of my speech.
Jacob looks at me, tears brimming his eyes. He pulls me into a tight hug, almost crushing me in his arms.
“Thank you, (Y/N).” He whispers.
Quil and Embry looked at me, eyes wide and seemingly astonished.
I rub slight circles on Jacob’s back for a moment, showing my support.
“Okay but, when I broke my arm, like actually shattered it, and cried-- you called me a bitch and told me to get over it. I just wanna address that real quick.” Quil breaks the silence, earning a little laugh from all of us.
Jacob chuckles on my shoulder, pulling back.
“Okay, and?” I ask sarcastically.
“I just don’t think I’m getting the same treatment.” Quil scoffs, laughing.
“Well, maybe if you didn’t steal my fruit rollup that day, I wouldn’t have been so upset with you.” I smirked. “I think those might not be of the same magnitude.” Embry defends Quil.
“Hey… whose side are you on?”
Embry raises his hands up in surrender.
“I’m just saying, you’re picking favorites, clearly.” He laughs.
“Oh hush, you know you’re all my best friends. I love you all.” I smile, rubbing a circle onto the back of Embry’s hand.
“Yes, we love you, too. Even if you’re kind of a bully. But that’s fine.” Quil shrugs, smiling to himself.
We all laugh a bit before sitting down in silence for a moment.
“So, this party…” I trail off.
“You can come.” He slightly smiles.
“Cool. I wanna meet the people, faces to names, ya know?” I admit.
“You’re meeting leeches, nothing too special.” Paul scoffs.
“Well, they won’t hurt me. I just wanna go with you guys, give Bella her gift, and then see all these vampires. I wanna see what they look like.” I admit.
“Freaky eyes. Though, they’re not as freaky as the red ones.” Quil interjects.
“Interesting. Well hopefully the party is fun.” I shrug.
I felt Embry tense up between my legs.
“Do you really want to go?” He asks, looking back at me.
“Yeah, kinda. Especially if you guys are going. I wanna see who Bella spends her time with, you guys don’t seem very fond. I wanna see why.” I scratch the top of his head, getting another whiff of that teakwood scent.
“I mean, we could stay home if you don’t feel safe.” He offers.
“Em, I think I’ll be okay. You’re all there, I don’t feel unsafe.” I tell him, trying to comfort him.
“Embry, she’ll be fine. She just got back, let her go to a party and have some fun.” Quil huffs.
Embry looks back at me with pleading eyes.
“Embry, I’ll be okay. Nothing’s gonna happen to me. Besides, I wanna see what happened to everyone I went to high school with.” I smile at him, leaning down to leave a kiss on his forehead.
“Okay, just please don’t stray too far from me there.” He pleads.
“Em, I won’t be letting go of you all night.” I smile.
“Yuck!” Quil throws a couch pillow at me.
“Rude.” I huff, chucking it right back.
“It’s almost time to go to the beach. I don’t wanna miss the food.” Paul says looking at the time.
“Oh we are not missing the food.” Embry says confidently.
“I’d never let such a thing happen.” Quil confirms.
“So let’s get going before Jared ruins it for all of us.” Jake smirks from the couch.
We all get up to leave when Jacob turns to me.
“Thank you.” He mouths, hugging me once more.
He pulled away and I saw Embry begin to look a little pouty.
I walk over to Embry, stand up on my tippy toes to press a kiss to his cheek as I grabbed his hand.
He looks down at me, smiling like a goofball, returning the smile was as easy as breathing.
We all walk out and pile into my car to head over to the beach.
“Ooh, cookies!” I hear Quil and Paul exclaim from the back seat, I hear the container shifting.
“No!” I turn around shouting.
Quil and Paul look like they had just seen a ghost.
“She wanted to bring them to the bonfire.” Embry chuckles.
The car ride filled once again with Embry playing music, talking to Quil and Paul. I noticed that Jake was still quiet, poor guy.
I park the car and turn it off.
“We’re here.” Embry says, getting out of the car and running to my side to open my door.
“Bean.” He says, notioning for me to get out of the car.
“Thanks, Em.” I smile.
He places his hand on my lower back, driving me mad with excitement.
“Give me those cookies.” I point at Paul.
“Alright, boss.” He laughs, handing the cookies over to me.
We begin the walk down to where the bonfire was being set up and I see many people there, causing my nerves to rack and my heart to race.
Embry stops in his tracks, bending down to look me in the eyes, hands falling to the sides of my arms.
“It’s okay, they’re all gonna love you, you’re great. You’ve met them all before, things will go great. You even brought cookies. Try to relax, bean.” He gives me a comforting smile.
“Thank you, Em.” I smile.
“Of course. We gotta catch up with the rest of them, now. Let’s go.”
He presses a kiss to my forehead once more, before grabbing my hand and leading the way over to everyone.
“Hey everyone. (Y/N)’s back. She even brought cookies.” He announces.
“Hey, thanks for having me.” I wave, smiling.

A Life With You | Domestic Javi/Fem!Reader
Rating: Teen
Warnings: none really, some tooth rotting fluff, meantion of having kids
Word Count: 1,095
Summary: Javier Peña, despite his reputation, slowly falls deeply in love with reader. Based on a prompt from my friend on ao3: VoidGlasses
Javi always slept around, whether it was with informants for a case or just for fun, it’s what he was known for. Then he met you, You were standing ther, gorgeous, and for the first time in long time Javi didn’t want to sleep around and fuck you on the first date. He wasn’t immediately thinking about you in bed; He was thinking about you smiling over a cup of coffee as the sun shined through your hair.       It started out slow, flirting wherever you saw each other, going out for coffee or dinner, and yeah the sex was pretty damn mind blowing too. There were days when it scared Javi, just how serious it all was, just how much he really felt for you. A month later and it finally hit him.      The day it really hit him, had gotten hurt on a chase. Running after a sicario, he heard a noise from an alley and just as he turned around he saw a man shoot out at him. Luckily it only grazed his arm, but it still hurt like a bitch. Steve had been there fast and Javi got all patch up. When Steve asked what happened, that's when Javi realized.
He told Murphy. “I heard a noise and I turned around and I saw the guy pointing a gun at me, pulling the trigger. Of course that’s nothing new, but in that moment, that split second where I don’t know if this bullet is gonna miss, hit my arm or hit my heart, all I thought of was her. If I die I won’t see her again, I won’t be able to tell her I love her, cause I do Murphy, I really do.”
“Then go tell her you idiot.” Murphy was right, he had to tell her, cause who knew where the next bullet was going to hit. Javi ran to her apartment and knocked quickly on her door. You were definitely asleep at this hour, but he couldn’t wait another minute he had to see you.      The door opened. “What-” you had obviously just been asleep, hair mussed up and eyes barely half open. “My god Javi! Are you okay?! You look like you’ve been shot!” The sight of the bandage on Javi’s arm was enough shock to wake you right up.      Javi grabbed your arms and looks her in the eye. “I was doesn’t matter now though.” “I-”      He interrupted before you could start. “Y/N I love you. I think I have for a while now. I’m not good at love but when I was out there and didn’t know if I was gonna make it back all I thought of was that I never got to tell you. I love you” “Javi- of course I love you too. Just try not to get killed the next time you want to tell me okay?”
That’s how he got here, 3 months later and he was still dating you . A long term relationship, people almost didn’t believe him when he told them. He almost didn’t believe it himself. He loved you and he could admit that, he would tell you whenever he could. In the morning when you fixed him coffee, knowing he had stayed up late looking over some lead. When he would get home from a rough day and you would just lay with him and not try to force him to talk about it .      You didn’t just get along with him either. You had made fast friends with both Connie and Steve. The four of you would go out drinking or stay in and eat together at least once a week. Javi loved you and he was glad his partner (and though he would never admit it, best friend) got along with you as well.      Connie and Steve had asked Javi and you to watch Oliva for the day while they finally got some sleep and some errands done. Javi was definitely worried.       He didn’t know how to take care of a kid. He didn’t think you knew either, but then when Connie walked in and handed you the little screaming baby, your eyes lit up and you instinctively started bouncing her and she quieted down. Javi stared in awe. He’d never really gave much thought to his future, what he’d do after all this was over, if he’d ever settle down. But, in that moment looking at you staring down at oliva with a big smile on your face, her smiling back at you, he knows.      Javi leans over to Steve, pointing over at you and whispers, “I’m gonna make that woman my wife one day.” Steve smirks, happy that his friend has found someone he really loves. “You better. I think she got her to quiet down quicker than Connie ever has.” Steve whispers back.      “What are you two whispering about?” you ask a curious look on your face.      “Only good things, I promise cariño.”      “It better be.” you reply with a smirk and shake your head.      The day goes better than Javi thought, you two play with Oliva and laugh and feed her. Yeah Javi learned changing diapers wasn’t a fun thing to learn, but it was worth it to see you laying on the couch, Oliva passed out in your arms, almost falling asleep yourself.      “Hey cariño, wake up, Connie’s here to pick up Oliva.”      “Oh sorry did I fall asleep?” you yawn out      Javi laughs,“Just for a bit baby.” You hand Oliva over to Connie and she says her goodbyes and leaves.      “You know, his wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Maybe I wouldn’t mind having one of these myself one day.”      “Really? You want kids Javi? Didn’t think you were the father type.”      “Hey, I think we’d both be great parents”      “We?” Javi never really talked about your future together before so you were a little taken back.      “Yeah, we, I’d want kids, if they were with you. I know I never really talk about it but one day I'd settle down, you know kids, a house, a dog, you.” He emphasizes that last word with a kiss to your head.      You grab him by the neck and drag him down for a real kiss. “That sounds nice. A life with you sounds nice.” You pull Javi down to the couch with you and you two talk about what life would be like, the two of you together with your imaginary kids, and house, and dog.      You think you like this new domestic side of Javi.

this is not your fault, okay? i promise and i don’t deserve to be loved | percabeth
warnings: might contain triggers (mentions to war, death and ptsd)
Annabeth is still in that post-sex daze when Percy rolls to his side and curls up besides her, throwing one arm over her waist.
The feeling pulls her back to full consciousness and her body stiffens instantly with the realization that he’s probably almost half asleep. She straightens up quickly and notices his eyes widening and his body waking up with the movement.
“Hm, I-,” she mutters while searching for her underwear between the sheets. She realizes she has already used all of her good excuses for leaving him previously. It had been getting harder and harder to come up with a reasonable justification for her to go, and she accepts that today it is going to be ridiculous.
“Looking for this?” His voice is hoarse and low, and he holds her cotton panties between his fingers. When she tries to snatch them, though, he yanks them away from her reach.
Guess he isn’t as sleepy as she’d thought before.
“Percy,” she scowls. “That’s not funny.”
“No?,” he says, as he pulls her panties further when she tries to reach them one more time. “I disagree.”
“Please, stop it. I really should go, I... Uh, I-,” he raises his eyebrows when she mumbles, trying to figure out what to say next. “I have to work early tomorrow, I need to rest,” she makes up.
He sighs and hands her her underwear, but what he says next makes her paralyze.
“No, you don’t.”
“What?“
“Tomorrow’s Sunday, Annabeth. I know you’ve been making excuses not to sleep with me.”
“What makes you say that?”
“Well, for instance, the fact that we never go back to your place after a date, and the one time we did, you basically kicked me out as soon as you could,” he leans on his elbow, lifting his upper body. “Or that you say things like ‘I need to work’ on a Saturday night, or that your mom has ‘come to visit’ at least 5 times in the past 3 weeks.”
There’s an uncomfortable silence and Annabeth tries to think of something decent to say, but she can’t. So Percy goes on, the dim light making it hard for her to read his expression.
“Look, I-,” he sighs and sits up, putting one hand on her thigh. “I know you don’t owe me anything and it’s okay if you don’t want to... stay the night. But we’ve been seeing each other for, what, more than a month now? I was really hoping we could move forward with this, but I can tell there’s something going on, so...” he clears his throat and trails off.
Annabeth takes a deep breath, considering how she’ll handle this. She’s not sure if she’s ready to tell him the truth.
“Percy, this is not your fault, okay? I promise.”
He nods and waits for her to say something else. She realizes that maybe the truth is her best way out of this now.
“Ok. Maybe we should talk,” she whispers, avoiding to look in his eyes.
She can tell he’s surprised when she gets up to put on her panties and then searches for the shirt he’d been wearing before, pulling it over her head.
“Can you make me some tea?” She asks.
“Okay.”
They stay in silence until the moment he hands her a cup of tea and sits in front of her by the kitchen table. He looks at her expectantly and she stares down at her tea, breathing in.
“So. Remember I told you about when I volunteered to serve in Afghanistan?”
“Yeah. I remember.”
“Well, I-,” she finally looks up and finds his concerned eyes. “I have been diagnosed with PTSD. It’s, um, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.”
He reaches out and takes her hand on the table. “Oh. Yeah, I... I know what it is.”
She nods. “So, I-,” Annabeth’s not sure why, but she suddenly feels like sharing the whole story with him. “I didn’t really want to go. I mean, it wasn’t exactly my idea. I, um, I had this girlfriend. Reyna.”
She stops talking and takes his expression in. She hadn’t told him about her sexuality before, and she wasn’t sure how he would take it. She notices his eyebrows raise slightly for a second, but he doesn’t say anything, and his eyes hold the same concern. So she continues.
“Reyna and I went to college together and we, um, we were good together and she understood me like anyone else. But she was, like, a natural warrior. Really, I know it sounds stupid, but she was. It wasn’t really a surprise when she volunteered right after we graduated, not at all. I’m not the greatest supporter of American military action, so what really surprised me was when I started to consider going with her. I was so terrified of being alone and of losing her that the idea of going started to feel better than staying. And I could use the money, so it sounded like a win-win.”
She pauses and takes a sip from her tea. She hadn’t talked about this with anyone, except for her therapist, and it was a lot for her.
“Do you regret it?” Percy asks softly. “Going, I mean.”
“I-,” she wasn’t expecting that. “I don’t, actually. But I wouldn’t go back or do something like that again.”
He nods and caresses her hand with his thumb, and they enjoy the silence for a while.
“Anyway. So we went, together. And it was fine, most of the time. We had a lot of quiet days and we got to spend a lot of time together and we met some incredible people. But the bad days... They were really bad,” memories start flashing through her head and she notices there are tears coming down her face when Percy reaches out to wipe them away with his thumb. “So there was this one day. We had a huge fight, me and Reyna. Our time there was ending and she wanted to stay for another year. And I didn’t, I just wanted to come back and start building our life together. A normal life, without guns and tanks and bombs and training.”
The tears are rolling down her eyes uncontrollably now, but she can’t control herself.
“She had to leave before we could even end the discussion. And there was- There was a, um... There was a bombing a few hours later,” she stops and stares at the wall, trying to even her breathe. “And she... I couldn’t even say goodbye.”
Percy gets up and knees down besides her, holding her close while she shakes violently.
“Hey... It’s okay,” he whispers carefully. “You don’t have to say anything else. I’m sorry.”
She tries to remember her therapist words not to feel ashamed of crying, but it’s hard when she’s basically spilling her heart out to... Well, the guy she’s sleeping with, ‘cause she can’t even call him her boyfriend. Or can she? That’s probably something for them to talk about later.
“I’m sorry about that,” she whispers when she can breathe normally again.
“Don’t be,” Percy leans back just enough to look at her face and pulls some curls behind her ear. “I’m sorry you had to go through all that.”
She answers him with half a smile and takes a deep breath. “After that I came back and... Well, I guess a part of me never did. I blamed myself for it, I felt like I should’ve done something to protect her, and a part of me still does,” he opens his mouth to say something but she goes on. “So most nights I have nightmares, and I wake up screaming or- Well, I can get aggressive sometimes. Or if it takes too long for someone to wake up in the morning I start wondering if maybe something happened to them and I... I lose my mind,” she looks at him, intensely. “It’s hard to... deal with it. For me and for... whomever is nearby. And when something bad happens I feel like... I feel like I don’t deserve to be loved.”
He holds her face in his hands and sustains her gaze. “I can’t imagine what you’ve been through. But I won’t let you believe that, okay? It’s not truth, and it’s not fair to yourself. This isn’t your fault, and it doesn’t make you less good or less worthy of love. You do know that, don’t you?”
Annabeth looks down for a moment, his gaze and his words too intense for her to absorb. Rationally, she’s known all of this for a while, and therapy had been helping her cope with all of these feelings well. But the way he looks at her makes her feel actually loved for the first time in years, and that’s a new feeling.
“Hey, listen to me,” he continues, softly. “You have nothing to be ashamed of. And I completely understand if you don’t feel comfortable sleeping with me. It’s your choice, and I’m here to support you nonetheless. Trust me, I can handle messed up and complicated and difficult. But I- I really like you, Annabeth Chase. And well, if you’re up to it, I hope I get to spend a lot of nights with you,” he drops a soft kiss of her lips. “And mornings,” another kiss on her cheeks. “And afternoons,” he whispers close to her ear before kissing the crook of her neck, making her giggle.
She pulls away softly to look at him, her eyes filled with appreciation. “Okay,” she mutters. “I guess I am up for it, after all.”
He kisses her slowly, and, in that moment, she knows she’s starting to fall in love with him. And it scares the hell out of her, but it also makes her heart feel so warm, she’s afraid it might burn.
She can’t tell exactly what it is that they’re starting there, but she knows it feels like something good. And she’s pretty sure they’re off to a good start.

After a long day at work, you wanted to relax and unwind with Kat. You didn’t text her that you were on your way over, just hopped into a cab and went to her apartment.
That was a mistake.
The main door to her apartment building was propped open, so you didn’t even have to buzz up. You walked up the three floors to her apartment, taking the stairs two at a time.
You just were about to knock, when the door swung open, making you jump in surprise.
A man was just about to exit, his face looking flushed. His hair was mussed, along with his clothes. He mumbled an apology to you as he passed, heading towards the stairwell.
A heavy feeling you couldn’t name arrived in your gut. A part of you knew what had just happened before you arrived.
“Kat?” You called into the apartment, easing the door behind you.
She popped her head out of the bedroom, looking shocked. “What are you doing here?”
“I was around,” you answered vaguely. “Am I interrupting?”
“What? No.” She walked closer to you. “I just had a friend over.”
You looked at her face, looking for any sign that she was in a post-orgasm glow. You couldn’t really tell. She never stayed long enough with you for you to study her.
“A friend.” The word was acid on your tongue. “Sure.”
Kat tilted her head, picking up on your anger. “Don’t look at me like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like you’re jealous.” Kat flicked her hair over her shoulder. “You said we weren’t exclusive. That was your idea.”
“I didn’t say that!” you objected, with a flare of anger. “I said I wanted to keep things casual. With you. No one else.”
Kat didn’t reply, just looked at you like you were a kid throwing a tantrum. Which maybe you were.
“Whatever.” You stalked towards the door, throwing over your shoulder: “I’m done, Kat. Goodbye.”
You slammed the door behind you, the sound echoing in the empty hallway.
You were still fuming an hour later, home now. You laid on your back on the bed, replaying the conversation over and over in your head. You cringed. It wasn’t your finest moment.
Now you felt angry and regretful. You shouldn’t have blown up on Kat like that, because she was right: you didn’t say she couldn’t see anyone else. It wasn’t her fault you weren’t enough for her.
The buzz of your phone broke through your thoughts. You picked it up and saw a text from Kat.
“Hey I’m downstairs. Can I come up?”
You didn’t hesitate before replying with a yes.
A few minutes later, you let Kat into your apartment. She was holding a bouquet of flowers.
“I’m sorry.” You both said it in unison.
You laughed, pulling her in to kiss her cheek. “Thank you for the flowers. Now I feel bad for not getting you any.”
“Next time.” Kat threw them down on your coffee table, then wrapped her arms around your waist. Your lips met in a kiss that swiftly turned heated. The next thing you knew, you were pulling at each other’s clothes, before pushing Kat down on the rug in front of the couch.
Her tongue swiped into your mouth, drawing a moan from between your lips. Her hands went to your bare bottom, giving your cheeks a tight squeeze. Your hands were tangled in her hair, pulling her face as close as possible.
You bit down on her lip, a bit harder than you normally would. You sucked it into your mouth, soothing the wound. Kat moaned, her nails digging into your skin.
You kissed down her body, stopping to suck a nipple into your mouth. Kat’s hips bucked up, her core hitting your thigh. You felt the wet patch she left behind on your skin.
“Wait.”
You pause in your movements, looking up at Kat. Her eyes were dark with arousal. “I want your cock.”
You smirked, sitting up and back on your heels. “Was he not enough for you, Kat?”
“No,” she admitted. “He didn’t do it the way you do.”
Her words spread warmth through your chest and heat into your core. You stood, helped Kat to her feet, before leading her to your room.
She kneels down, getting into your favourite position. She spread her legs, showing her wet pussy to the open air.
You run a finger up and down her slit, spreading her wetness onto your fingers. She pushed back, wanting more, but you withdrew, tutting. “Not yet.”
You get your favourite strap, the one that hit your clit just right when you fucked her. She watched as you slowly put on the harness, taking your time, teasing her. Kat bit down on her bottom lip, hard.
You drizzle lube onto your strap, jerking it off to spread the liquid. Not that you really needed it, based on how wet Kat was. She was practically dripping, making your mouth water.
You got behind her, and slid slowly into her. Kat groaned, making your brain go blank.
You fucked in and out of her, loving the look of her pussy swallowing you. Your thrusts rubbed your clit, the friction sending jolts of ecstasy down your spine.
“Fuck, just like that,” Kat groaned, her head tilted back. “Don’t stop.”
You reached around to circle at her clit, and Kat came, her wetness rushing down the dildo. You don’t stop, chasing your own release. You shift slightly so that the strap grinded down on your own clit.
You tipped over the cliff, the edges of your vision growing white.
Next thing you knew, you were on your back, Kat helping you out of your harness. “That felt good.” Your voice was rough.
“So good.” Kat kissed you, filthy and heady.
She spread her legs again and any jealousy you felt earlier was completely gone.
She was yours. Only yours.
