The Snow's love triangle not triangle

Another day without me learning to shut up so this is going to be a long one. Two warnings though, because I will talk superficially about not so nice topics like misogyny, homophobia, toxic masculinity, grooming and age gap. It is also important to remember that except for Tigris, I do find the Snow interesting but I have no sympathy for them and that is reflected in my headcanons although it shouldn't be a surprise anymore because every day I am insulting them.

Let's start. First a super quick recap of who the main characters in this drama are: Crassus. Julia. Cornelius and Aelia.

Crassus is our unloved annoying middle child. I think he is a brat in every definition, too arrogant for this life and too terrified of people knowing he is gay. Yes that is what makes him so repressed and aggressive.

In general he hates women so much it's ridiculous, not only because he was raised with these ideas that a woman can't be smarter and stronger than a man that make every time he meets a more capable woman he ends up feeling deeply humiliated. But because, as I said, he is actually aware that he is not attracted to them and feels very resentful towards them for the same reason. He thinks that somehow it is their fault and not his. This also makes Crassus afraid to associate himself with any trait he considers feminine and this is where his thing with Cornelius his younger brother comes in.

I don't think any of the stupid 3 or the Snow brothers are spared from being on the spectrum of toxic masculinity. Not even Marius who I think is the most prudent and cordial of the 3 but there is something about Cornelius that makes him quite indifferent to various issues that Crassus does have a heart attack over. For example. He tried horseback riding and had a female instructor. Those are the kind of details that would have Crassus making a fuss. Likewise it is notable to say Cornelius was very fond of the theater and operas. This is relevant for later.

Crassus hates Cornelius very much in a strange form of envy and feeling stronger because at least within the family Crassus is beneath many people. Not just his dumb older brother but a bunch of cousins and uncles who would never listen to him so Cornelius is pretty much like his only worthy person within his household that he can easily mistreat without receiving repercussions. And I say worthy person because Crassus probably mistreated others but didn't necessarily consider those people on the same level as him to care or feel satisfied about do that.

All of this I mentioned because it is relevant to understanding the Julia Snow disaster and how she ends up in their lives.

Julia Dorrance. Snow in the future. She is the mother of Coriolanus and as I said sometime in the past intentionally was made to mirror Lucy Gray, Sejanus and Livia Cardew. Lonely and fragile girl. Overly protected and pampered by her parents. With health problems.

A hyper-feminine lesbian who was never told that kissing girls was a possibility. The Snows as the worst lavender marriage was a joke that I later took too seriously for drama. Julia in this respect is a contrast to Crassus. While he too presents a hypermasculinized gender expression as I said he is painfully aware of the attraction he feels for other men. In his college years is in fact when he tries to explore some things in the Casca - Pluribus disaster to then close himself off and become even more conservative if possible.

Julia on the other hand never knew that she lacked an attraction towards men and that her too intense ties with other women could be romantic and sexual.  She has no idea that her extreme admiration for other girls can be categorized that way and I firmly believe that in reality if someone had presented her with that option maybe things would have turned out very differently.

Julia likes to sing and I think she wore a lot of make-up and overly colorful dresses. She was quite nice and her singing is important because she loved musical plays and that obviously I think you can feel may already be relevant. Now we just need to explain a little bit about Aelia Mars and we can go quickly with the triangles.

So Aelia Mars is the cousin of the Snows. Tigris' mother. Not the only cousin they have but like I said she's relevant because she's marrying Marius. Speaking of connections to the fashion world and that it's a classic that powerful guys date with, I decided to make her a model.

She's kind of like a modern, "independent" girl who obviously Grandma Snow hated. I say independent in the sense that she bought her own apartment thanks to her job and actually may not have planned to have kids until then she ends up in that relationship with Marius who is like, yeah he was the smartest of the 3 and I think the least unbearable but he was very much a conservative and boring man.

Sadly Aelia and he genuinely liked each other so there's a theme of Aelia giving up all that independence to be the perfect wife to a Snow. And like 2 years after Tigris is born, the fool dies.

Yes yes Marius' death is the big drama but before we go with that let's go to Julia and the Snows. She meets Crassus through Casca since the Highbottoms and the Dorrance were friends and it happened that the 3 of them coincided in the same space and since she didn't know almost anyone she stuck to Casca and since Casca and Crassus spent all their time together, yes but she ends up getting involved with the Snows for a petty stupid joke.

Crassus as we know liked to make miserable the life of his little brother but he is an idiot who never thought what would bother Cornelius and he used himself as a reference, that is to say many of his jokes will only make him be mad LMAO. That's how at his 16 he have the great idea of made a playdate between his little brother and Julia because both were little children of 8 years. The "joke" was that Julia will bring dolls and other "girly things" to play. And that somehow should made Cornelius be MAD, OFFENDED. Clearly that don't happen, his little brother literal don't care about play with dolls, and he actually have a good time with Julia.

That marks the beginning of the end, because I think maybe to annoy Crassus, and because he really liked Julia, he will invite her back and Cornelius will end up becoming genuine friends with Julia, something that will unite them a lot is that they both liked the theater, I think it becomes a kind of habit that they follow every year to go together to a play. This is quite wholesome I must say but the problem with Cornelius and Julia becoming close is that the poor girl consequently had a lot of contact with Crassus.

I mean in the end they end up married for a reason, and yes, a lot of that has to do with grooming, because I think Crassus despite his aggressive misogyny, never hated Julia, I think she was quite impressed because Crassus is a jerk yes but he's the most athletic of the 3, he's very popular, “handsome” (I always say all Snow's are ugly hahaha but I guess he fit the typical beauty standard and had people who adored him), and actually to Julia is one of the few people he acts charming and “polite” to. She was very sincere about how much she thought Crassus was great so obviously he was going to like her, plus since Julia was practically a child, she was quite moldable, so it's no surprise Crassus had no problem dealing with a little girl who was easy to make happy by giving her compliments on her dresses.

There's a lot to why Crassus ends up choosing her, why he makes a conscious effort to make Julia like him but that's a topic for another day, what is relevant is that in the end Julia ends up married to Crassus. I think the fool's brother ever liked Julia? In the end they were friends, and my answer is yes. I also think that played a part, as I said Crassus liked to ruin things for his little brother too much, and I think Cornelius just resigned himself to it. And Julia? She never really liked any of them, it was just Crassus who made promises to her (which he never kept. All that stuff Casca says about swearing freedom and love, because that's usually an important part of grooming, Julia was often treated by everyone as if she couldn't take care of herself, and Crassus was the only one believing that she was actually mature and capable ah but that's not good because she was literally a child).

Too Crassus is the one who seemed most capable of protecting Julia, Cornelius is pretty weak if I'm honest, and despite everything, Crassus is going to believe that Julia is cheating on him with his brother, but that never happened. And now it's time to talk about the real cheating, or something like that, because nothing really happened but it did happen.

Crassus was about 27-26, when his brother dies. His fiancée was 16 and Tigris was actually 2 years old, when her mom lost it.

Marius is killed in a rebel plot, because I think d13 was screwing things up before declaring war completely, and the Snows had a monopoly, so obviously they were the main ones affected, but at the time no one knew that happened. It was just a "very unfortunate accident" that actually got them in a mess about their reputation, there was a big overblown funeral, and Tigris' mother gave a very public exposé of her grief.

Because that man was a loser like all the Snows but he was also her loser, and then there was that thing I mentioned about the things she sacrificed and how it all went down the drain. She's not a perfect wife anymore, she's a widow.

I think Aelia is going to neglect Tigris a little bit, just a little bit, nothing too serious, she's just going to end up spending more time with her nanny, and then there's Julia who is completely crazy, and in love. Aelia was a model, of course she saw her in magazines, on TV, and in big posters, I think Julia was very excited the first time she met her, and she always had this kind of deep admiration for Aelia.

And then they are family. Or they're going to be. Crassus asks for her hand, and then they go to the funeral together, and I think Julia was kind, and she's the one who cares the most about the woman who cried like that over a casket. So I won't say she's going to steal Tigris, but I think she liked children, and it influences the way everyone has treated Julia, (like a doll), and she thinks that is doing a good thing. She also want to help, so when Aelia is too busy avoiding her daughter (that looks a lot like her husband, or in her mind that was the case, I think Tigris was very similar to her own mother actually), Julia pop up, wanting to be a cool aunt, to help the woman she admires a lot, and takes Tigris to shopping, to the playground, to the theater, to many places. It's a pretty harmless activity and she doesn't do it all the time but she does it often enough that eventually Aelia gets annoyed, because in fact, she felt it in a way like Julia was trying to take her daughter away from her, there's a fight, and she basically yells at Julia who probably ended up crying.

But then Aelia feels bad, because Julia is really just a teenager? and she's like basically one of the few people who seems to show any real concern for her feelings? The thing is, this seals it. Because this is the cheating that happens, in a way.

Let's see I don't think Tigris' mother, is interested in dating someone thats a minor, and I think it takes a while for Julia to develop a crush in the full sense of the word, and one that's obvious enough but she end up there and Aelia notices it but never do nothing about it, because she possesses what I call the Snow flaw. Again Julia is honest about how much she believed Crassus is great, the same goes for she saying the same about Aelia, and Aelia's ego really enjoys those compliments and having someone who seems genuine, so from her perspective, they develop a friendship, almost sisterhood, that clearly can survive the fact Julia is attracted to her.

The years go by, and I think that once Coriolanus is born, the fact that he and Tigris were so close, comes a lot from his mother practically wanting them to be like siblings, something very normal, which clearly has nothing to do with how much in love she is with her sister-in-law lmao.

This affects the relationship between Julia and Crassus, because although he never liked Julia in that way, he really enjoyed that she “was madly in love with him”, so he did not take it well that with each day it is more obvious that she is not affected at all that he goes to the districts to do who knows what, of course Crassus you can go for a month and she will not lose sleep.

So he convinces himself that she is cheating on him. Because sure, that's the obvious answer, and it's not a total lie, for one thing, Julia is emotionally involved with someone and that person is not Crassus, but then again, it's not like there's really anything tangible going on between her and Aelia either, I don't think Julia is even aware that she wants a romantic relationship with her, actually, but Crassus more or less can see there's something off about Julia.

And since he's obviously Crassus, first dead before he would consider his wife would cheat on him with another woman, so he thought about it and thought about it and was like “oh sure it must be that bastard.” That bastard is clearly his younger brother, he even invented a plot about his son fatherhood because Coriolanus, Cornelius, are suspiciously similar names!

Nah is a joke, I mean, I call him Cornelius for that reason but in reality is that, we know the play exists within Panem, so I think completely Julia saw it, and she was the one who proposed the name and did everything to convince her husband, and Crassus always believed it was weird how much she wanted the name Coriolanus, and he remember then, his little brother and Julia have this thing of see plays together, so he made up all a shit in how JULIA CHEAT HIM AND WAS LAUGHING AT HIS BACK!!!!!!

And that is the triangle not triangle, as in theory there is Crassus-Aelia-Julia, but Crassus believes it is him, his brother and Julia. @meekmedea

Hi. I'm a huge fan of ur user site, especially talking about The TEAM BLACKS.

Also, I'm on team Black. I had been watching hotd. I'm so excited for S2.

Here are my loong thoughts about team Green.

1. Alicent is no innocent nor a victim but a high hypocrite skank who abused her queenship power against Rhaenyra, who in fact DID her duty and sacrifice ( as Alicent ranted like a mad woman ) She litterly put all her children and grandchildren in terrible danger the moment she falsely placed crown on Aegon the Drunken Fool's head. She even willingly hid her son's heinous indescritions. She is no Saint but traitorous one. Plus, I was furious when Alicent praised Rhaenyra that she'd be a great queen when yet she placed the crown on her son's head instead after Rhaenyra gave an apology, which she didn't have to. Alicent couldn't keep her high mouth shut when she spread rumours about Jace, Luke and Joffrey.

2. As for Otto Hightower, the pure mastermind of the Dance of Dragons. At first, I didn't understand why he suddenly wanted Aegon on the throne when he suggested Rhaenyra to be the heir. That was when I realised it was a plot to remove Daemon Targaryen, who knew who Otto really is. Ironically, Otto is the second son of Hightower, like Daemon. It is clear Otto cared for his ambitions, not for 'the sake of the realm' as he claimed. He always used misyongy cards to reason that Rhaenyra is not fit to sit on the throne just because she's a woman. Geeze, that weasel clearly forgets that Rhaenyra was a cupbearer and often listened to the meetings. It wouldn't surprise me if Otto Hightower committed more heinous actions against the Targaryens. For example, Otto got the King's Hand position AFTER Baelon ( Viserys and Daemon's father ) died suddenly when he was still young. Also, he might have ordered the maesters, who were from Old Town, to suggest the intercision that killed poor Queen Aemma Arynn along with her stillborns and caused miscarriages. Clearly, the man is the green flag for danger and not trustful.

2. Ser Crispin Cole was clearly a red flag man. It was appalling that he was still a knight. I mean, he killed an innocent man ( Laenor's first lover ), belittled Rhaenyra's children out of spite and murdered Lord Beesbury, who clearly supported Rhaenyra and knew King Viserys the longest. Criston seems to have signs of being unstable. Let's hope he was given an unhonourable death in battle.

3. I admit, Aemond is handsome. But, when I observe his personality, I find it so 😑. He's clearly trying to be Daemon 2.0 when the original was more interesting. He was quick to anger and temperamental. Accident or not, he was the first one to shed blood the moment he killed Luke, which triggered the war and anger the mama dragon, Rhaenyra.

4. Aegon the Drunken Fool was a fool. People forget that he held influence over Rhaenyra's sons when they play pranks on Aemond. He raped poor girls in the Red Keep and produced bastards.

5. Helaena, however, was a sweet, poor soul that caught up in gruesome war. Her children were paid the price for Luke's death. I think she knew she was never going to live as she's a dragondreamer. Her dark predictions came true.

In a short conclusion, the Greens except Helaena were a bunch of cold-blooded killers who would murder anyone who stands in their way for power. Ironically, the Greens stand out greed. I'm glad Alicent's line will die out while our Realm's Delight, Rhaenyra's line, will prevail for centuries.

Sometimes, we must know and imagine that if the BLACKS are capable of doing bad things, so will the Greens. The Hightowers hide their ugly actions behind the cloak of righteousness and piety. If Rhaenyra is not Saint, then Alicent is not as well. In this world, everyone is capable of killing.

Sorry for my long rant😅 That's how I felt about the TG after reading everyone's comments.

All in all, I feel like the showrunners are trying to create a balance and make the audience sympathize with the greens.

I can never bring myself to do that because despite these showrunners’ efforts, the Greens are greedy upstarts who resorted to stealing and murder which started a whole war. There is no “there are two sides to every story” or “both sides do terrible things”. No.

The Blacks are not angels, but they are the anti-heroes. They make some questionable choices but which are ultimately for the greater good.

The Greens are vicious and the spitting image of villains. All they care about is taking power for themselves. Otto and Alicent Hightower were conspirators from the start. So I can’t understand how anyone would ever root for them.

@koipondering Ivan is such a beautifully crafted character, and as Aloft was weird enough to require a second watch, I could notice a few stuff which charmed me. Like the way he talks so abruptly and puts 0 effort into being polite, the way that even tho he loves his family, he is just so consumed by the unresolved feelings towards his mother. The narration for the interview of how his brother got injured seemed so convincing on his part, that it made me think he actually has convinced himself up to a certain point that that's what happened.

The ice-is-gonna-break scene was thrilling too, because at first I though Ivan knows what he's doing, she is being ignorant, but then the atmosphere shifted and his vulnerability was shown. The scene where he finds out she is sick and gets so angry-and after that, their...I don't know mutual understanding, where they look each other over the window. And (no I'm not obsessed) the way he literally pushed his face against the cold window, as if to say sorry.

The crying scene was completely heartbreaking, made me feel uneasy, he was so angry, and, for once during the whole movie we see clearly how guilt has been eating him alive.

Also, the scene where they shoot his falcon while he was a kid was honestly quite shocking.

That poor mother's drama was way beyond one that hasn't lived something similar can understand, but my notice is that...I don't know, she didn't seem to behave to Ivan like a kid, but rather an opponent? An equal, a grown up, which he wasn't, tough though he might be. Eg she should have hugged him, while they said goodbye, she should have understood that is was a reaction when he screamed his brother was gonna die anyway.

Long story short, yes, Ivan and his fucked up coping mechanisms and unresolved feelings are wonderfully interesting, and he is a beautiful, lovable (even if not in the first analysis) character.

P,S. Sorry, for this loong answer, you answered my comment and I straight up jumped on the chance, but it's such an overlooked movie and character, I've been wanting to rant about him a lot.

okay okay, what is like... The Main Canon. the primary timeline. for Atumu? or if you don't have that, the one you explore the most often?

Oof well there was The Main Canon™ that was the longest standing on (a story that spans decades of irl time, so literal millennia of in story time, and it's...there is just too much. Atumu wasn't even a main character lmao. I have things saved under the tag Life Story™ for that. It's long long long long loong story.

That's all before I met [] with whom we made a bunch of AUs for our characters to interact because we wanted to. All those stories are now the main canon because I can't experience Atumu any other way now hah, which is kind of sad that his entire being is dedicated to a person(s) who ...has chosen to no longer be in my life.

That's why it's kind of hard for me to share the stories now (in anything but me ranting in tags) bc it almost feels disrespectful. Like half of the story is not mine to tell. And yet, it's...half of it *is* mine to tell. Anyhow.

The Main Canons:

StarTumu Teen AU - Atumu (17) meets Startop (17) in a hospital (Atumu got into a domestic violence related car accident and Startop was there for a suicide attempt). This one spans til they are nearly 30.

StarTumu Foster AU - Atumu (11) and Startop (10.5/11) meet and grow up as foster brothers. This one spans until they are in their early 20s (22-23?).

KingTumu - This starts in ANNNCIENT times (idk maybe like 800 AD or so). Atumu (like 3000 years old by now? no idea; physically appears about 27-30) is a slave and bought by a gorgon King (idk how old King is sorry at least a couple hundred years probably) who is on a Mission™ to try to save the gorgon population from human extermination. Atumu is King's travel companion through the centuries. This one spans until like 1800 AD or so.

Those are the main ones that I'll allude to bc those are the ones that have my heart in a headlock. And if I make art of things, they are likely from those 3 universes.

In the Real Primary Canon...

4. Life Story - The story mostly follows brothers Atemu, Atumu, and Yumi through wild shenanigans in life. Imagine Dr Who/Supernatural but on steroids. They're just...going through life and trying to LIVE and shit happens cuz... well just cuz things happen as the brothers are weird demi-god creatures who are essentially unaware of their pasts (they never become aware). There are interactions with other deities and multiple international governments trying to understand these boys. Yumi just wants to like...settle down and live a normal ass life. Atemu is too daft to form complex thought. Atumu has no purpose in life but to be loyal to his little brother Atemu.

anything I allude to regarding Atumu's siblings are from Life Story. The siblings are also complicated. In the StarTumu AUs, Atumu is also not aware he has siblings because he basically has no memory before age 8 (thanks suppression of traumatic memories!). Even in the beginning of Life Story (many lifetimes ago), basically none of the siblings are aware each other exist. They haven't known of each other's existence for thousands of years. They all believe themselves to be human (don't ask).

Personal rambling: Small life achievements and embracing what makes life worth to you

2024 accomplishments? I finally completed the lacks on my Fairy Tail collection and I now have a pretty home for it✨"But Siren, isn't it as simple as going to the store and buying it?" NO, I almost gave up one of the things that makes me happiest in the world and I wanna vent, sorry

Last year I decided to sell most of my manga collection, including Fairy Tail. But since it used to be my favorite during my early teen days, I choose to read it one last time - and the result, well, I think you can guess xD (my sincere apologies to the buyer that had his order cancelled).

And it may sound silly, but realizing that I still love FT after all those years and despite it's flaws was a giant turning point in my life because, until now, I hadn't realized that I abandoned my passions to live someone else's truth.

I lost my teen years to depression (mostly due to bullyng). I heard so many terrible things about my personality and appearance and I became so insecure about everything that I liked, that I tried to distance myself from the person I was as much as possible. I lost joy in reading, drawing and even listening to music. But eventually, things changed and I found myself on a gentler place - I graduated, found people I care abt and life become peaceful, so I thought I was happy.

I didn't realize that I had been living like a zombie until now.

Last year I engaged on reading again and it was the first time in almost 8 years that I truly felt alive and excited again. There's so many things I want to do and draw that I can barely find time to eat - and it's a pleasure. For someone that used to wake up wishing they didn't, can you see how much that means?

Some may not understand how small things can have such a big impact in one's life, but I do love stories since I realized I was a conscious being (judging by my first drawings, I was 2 xD). My earliest memories are my father reading for me and daydreaming about videogame characters. I say without doubt that, along with nature and my loved ones, NOTHING makes me happier than art. But being yourself is not always an easy task, because insults don't usually stop at "you're stupid", they turn into "you're a freak and a harm to the world for being the way you are". And well, it's hard to not worry you might actually be a terrible person. It took me a while to see most of those opinions are not based on rational thinking, so trying to argue is a lost battle. Some people will always be rude, and it's not our fault. But I'm now at peace believing I will always be a better person minding my own business and being happy with silly things than spreading hate and bigotry. It may sound creepy, but having flirted with death for long made me see life in a lighter way cuz, if I'm going to die anyway, then I lose nothing spending my time doing what brings me joy.

So idk if this loong rant makes any sense, but I wanted to share it because I can't stop thinking about how close I was to erasing something that is such a big part of my joy in life just because I was scared of facing my fear of judgement. In the end, it's not only about FT.

And if someone is going through a similar thing, I hope this can be a reminder things can get better, I promise. Please remember time is too precious to waste with stupid people. There's work to do. And pets to feed. And cool arts to see. And cute bugs to appreciate 🌱🐞

Well... here we are. I think it's fitting that now, at the end of this era, I write one big love letter to Joost and this fanbase hahaha XD

As many of us approach knowing of Joost for HALF A YEAR (holy shit, already?!) and we finally get the answer that he's not going back to ESC next year, I can't help but be nostalgic :•}

Obviously getting really into this Dutch artist was not expect haha, but ohh what a ride it's been so far. And because of TikTok of all things XD As an American fan, finding him was purely by chance, but I'm ever so grateful I did. Ive spent so much of my freetime watching the live Europapa performence over and over and over again, folding and cutting and glueing those cute little paper dolls of him, scrolling endlessly on TT for every little bit of love shown, watching every interview and live performance hes done (and all the concerts he played at!!!)... and also spending maybe a little bit too much money shipping Chrome Magazine over to the US lol ^^; This probably wont sound like much to you, but this one man somehow managed to disrupt my ongoing 4 year streak of a different special interest! How about that!!!

Now... ive seen both wonderful and absolutely terrifying things from this fanbase, if im gonna be totally honest... ^^; but overall id say my experience has been pretty good! Obviously I have not interacted with ppl within this space much (as often happens with my interests sadly) but yall who do act right are pretty damn cool and extremely talented !!!!! (And huuge shoutout to those who work hard to translate from Dutch to English too, like JoostSubs on twt!!!!) ^^ This kind of creativity is what Joost wants to inspire!! Remember that!!! And I do want to take more steps into being more active in the fanbase in the future <3

Now about Joost himself...

I don't think I've ever know of anyone who's star shines as bright as his. Through time and turmoil he remains steadfast and ever so kind to those around him (almost to a fault). With his friends; Stuntje, Apson, Lyon, Tantu, Donnie, Alanis (and all the rest of em!) He's shown incredible amounts of love and care for :'•) Even after becoming such a big name worldwide, he still remained in a state where he can still do what he loves with the ones he cherishes most and that's just so damn wonderful to me 💙💙💙 His pure unadulterated silliness, his infectious joy and positivity, and how he unabashingly is himself no matter where he goes are qualities i really do look up to in him. Just the most wonderful guy I've ever seen whos sooo full of whismy...

Though I can't relate personally to the meanings behind most of his songs, I don't think that prohibits me from still appreciating just how much heart and soul he puts into them. And seeing all the people who have been helped and felt heard bc of his music... it just makes me very happy, yknow? Is that so cringe to feel?

I don't wanna talk as much about his disqualification and that interview he did earlier today (for not focusing too much on the negative), but I do firmly believe that he was treated extremely unfairly just in general by... certain groups (you know the ones). I will say that I am very glad Tantu called them out tho 😁😁. The decision of not going to ESC 2025 being last minute did sort of surprise me tbh. Maybe one day he'll release the song he made for next years ESC, but it did seem to cause all of them a lot of ultimately unneeded stress... so I wouldn't be surprised if that's something released in the far future. I really do hope that Joost and his friends can spend good time healing from everything that has happened since May, whatever way they find suitable.

I don't think I'll be leaving this fanbase anytime soon (or will be able to LOL), but as we reach sunset of this "Europapa" Era, I want to say:

Okay I'm ready. I'm the anon from yesterday who lost a whole ass rant. I'm ready to do it again(I'm typing this is the notes app first!!)

So I follow quite few Larry blogs that I love and respect cause they never give any shit about the stunts and defend Harry and louis so fiercely. I really like them for that. But lately they've been getting anon asks about ziam and idk why would people do that?? Like we'd make it very clear if we are ziams. Super crystal clear cause there are few of us(compared to the whole of directioner fandom). Honestly these blogs replied quite civilly like "I don't have any opinion about ziam cause I don't follow them closely" and such which is mature and good. But sometimes after numerous asks things do get heated and they let slip a sentence or two that really hurts. Like someone said the name ziammies is a fucking joke and I know we don't like it either and we'd prefer ziams. But it is so much more different when someone who doesn't believe zayn and Liam say that. And someone else listed all the things that make people believe in Larry and told that for ziam they only know about Zayn posting a selfie with a filter and both of them going blonde after a breakup(?)

It hurts my heart cause there's so much more than that. The casual soft reverent touches. Sharing orange eye ring that Zayn recreated in his like I would mv. Wearing brands that are associated with each other. Zayn fucking tatooing Liam's single cover waaaay before it got announced. Zayn literally having Liam's name and face tatooed on him. The almost kisses. The definite kiss on that dark stage that louis had to transform into on-the-spot cuddle. Eyebrow slits even after all these years. Family's support of the other boys. How they almost let it slip that they got a dog together in 1D day. One missing feather in zayns wing that is conveniently tattooed in Liam's arm with the words I figured it out curling around it. Which are the words to the song you & i which is point blank ziam anthem. It was the only song confirmed by Liam to be played before he let other 1D songs to be chosen by fans to be played at his online gig.

I don't need anyone to validate the "realness" of ziam. They are screaming enough. I'm hearing enough. But I can't tell all these to those blogs cause that bridge is burned and any talk about ziam is soured.

And I can't help but notice this. This is not comparing. I'm a larrie and a ziam. More people recognise Louis' babygate cause it happened with a nobody and people were screaming about his closet. Zayn's happened with a well known model who has a fanbase of her own so she can get away with not showing the baby's face(she "accidentally" revealed it anyway). Jungle family has only he-looks-like-louis-card so they overuse it. Posting baby's pics with ads? Check on both sides. Family members using the baby to promote their life? Check on both sides. Supposed baby mamas posting pics of the baby which gets far more likes than their regular posts? Check on both sides. Zayn likes louis' father announcement post(he rarely likes the boys' pics) and 4 years later louis goes out of his way to like zayns father announcement pic when zouis has never interacted once in those 4 years and there's beef between them?? And that's normal? That's not louis hinting at something amiss with the baby?? That's not enough proof to know that this is babygate 3.0? Liam's is more of a backburner babygate but it's still there. Like he has a baby with reclusive Cheryl and conveniently has one shit Polaroid pic and then bam. She just posts the baby's voice and stuff and that's done?? The common thing btw Liam and Zayn is that they know shit about babies. Liam telling his son can talk good when he was one??? Zayn telling it's really easy to be with a newborn baby?? Sure Jan. This irks me really. Anyway this is my loong looooong rant and I hope this finds you safe :)

I share all of your frustrations, but you can't help people that don't want it, unfortunately, but at least then it's no longer your problem!

Just know that you're not crazy for holding differing beliefs, and you have a legitimate reason to do so. You'll learn that there's no point in having these discussions with people who don't want to listen, and save your time for things you actually love to do!

Show him your latest memes, though, and he’ll huff a reluctant laugh through his nose, breaking the ice. He’s not big on apologies even when he’s wrong but even so he’ll silently apologise in only one way: he’ll give (not just share) you one of his most expensive, preferred chocolate bars. Overall, he’d be one of your biggest comforts and vice versa. Just knowing that he’s watching the CCTV live of you walking down a dark or isolated street to make sure that you get home okay makes you feel a little warmer. Even when he’s pissed as hell at you or something else, he won’t let you go to bed feeling alone in a bad way. It’d be an explosive kinda love ;) [inappropriate death joke lmao not sorry]

American Horror Story (AHS): Violet Harmon

Violet would adore you. There would be some tensions because she’s quite abrasive (and rightly so, in some cases) but also because you both have depression, though you also have anxiety and you both put up fronts to hide yourselves. That’s likely how you bond - with Violet confessing to you one hot summer’s day that she “hates everything” and the whole situation with her parents. She can rant for hours when you leave her to it, just listening. Sometimes you share a part of yourself. You’re quite a talkative couple, but only in private. If there are people around, it’s obvious you’re together but there’s no set reason that they can see. Vivien and Ben have, generally, never seen their daughter so animated; you only bring good to Violet’s life. You’re both sarcastic and easily annoyed so any arguments are basically just really accurate roasting sessions until one of you hits a nerve (and then it stops because Violet just leaves to go somewhere - you never know where) or you’re both laughing. The Vampire Diaries (TVD): Damon Salvatore 

Damon would be very protective of you. You don’t like appearing weak but even when you’re down and sobbing on your knees, your body unable to hold you up anymore, Damon’s never thought you looked stronger. It takes strength to show weakness, even when you’re alone. If you ever forgot to take your meds, Damon would stand over you in with a glass of water in one hand and your meds in the other, that passive-aggressive look on his face. He’d watch you take them, arms folded, and then he’d give you a steamy kiss that leaves your toes curling for the rest of the day. Damon pretends to have no feelings because it’s easier and you put up a front. However, because Damon can’t shut off his humanity without forgetting his love for you, so he has to face his humanity which means he begins to feel guilt and everything that’s already there if he wants to feel it, which he doesn’t but… He does eventually. Because of you. You are the good in his life.You have similar defence mechanisms so it’s not unusual for one of you to walk into a room, see the other and immediately say “stop doing that” or “don’t do that” - no one else can tell that Damon is pretending, except you and Stefan. Similarly, it’ll be the brothers who can tell that you’re pretending. The contrast of your long dark hair and your bright blue eyes would be what drew Damon to you and I feel like he’d call you his “little siren” because of that. As such, he comes to understand that it wasn’t Katherine he’s been looking for all this time…

Twilight: Edward Cullen 

You caught Edward’s attention by singing one day. He was just passing by, skipping Biology (blood work) and he heard you singing. He hadn’t meant to tune in to your radio station but sometimes he couldn’t help it. And you did have a lovely voice. He would likely buy some of the same albums that you own so that he could get to know you through music. Over time, he would learn to just intuitively tune in to your radio station and he’d hear your thoughts - this is a promise he would make to himself to not do once you’re friends and then dating and he’d definitely stick to it. He’s conveniently free on sunny days so you’d spend those days watching Netflix with a blanket around your body to protect you from his ice cold one (it’d be really hard to explain away catching a cold during a heatwave) and he’d press kisses into your hair, your kitty purring away just above your shoulders. Though Edward would do his best to not listen to your thoughts, on your worst days some of them drift through his mind and he’d take your hand tightly and say “Don’t” or “That’s not true.” He’d try so hard to help you; I think, pre-Bella, he also has depression so he’d do his best to help you because he knows what it’s like, and not just because he can hear you.

Yuri!!! On Ice: Victor Nikiforov

Victor would have such a loving relationship with you. Ohh, he’d try so hard to make you smile each and every day. When he’s not on the ice competing or eating way more food than he should be able to consume in one sitting (seriously, where does it go? Does his stomach start in his toes?), he’s curled up with you on the sofa watching something you want to watch on Netflix, Hulu or whatever else you use. He doesn’t mind what you watch, so long as you do it together. You love to shitpost and you love memes, and Victor loves taking pictures of the most obscure things so between the two of you, your followers are well fed! You’re always texting each other memes, jokes and sending pictures to each other with cryptic captions or song lyrics attached, making the other person burst out laughing in strange places like the ice rink or a classroom. You have more of a jokey relationship than a serious one, though that’s in abundance when either of you have depression or anxiety flare up. In any case, bed time is always met with gentle touches, soft smiles and careful reassurances. Even, and most especially, when you’re angry at each other. Love is never so important as it is during the bad times.

Once Upon A Time (OUAT): Regina Mills

It would be really touch and go to date Regina for a while. It would be very challenging and many people, including her and in your darkest times, yourself, would tell you that she’s not worth it. That you’re not worth it. But you’re all wrong. She is so, so worth it. Once she splits from the Evil Queen, once she grows into herself and grows into the Charming family, once she overcomes her abusive childhood and comes to love herself, she is a ray of sunshine and she glows. I’ve always loved and been so proud of Regina, and you would be too. You both put on fronts to protect yourself and you’re both very convincing so a lot of the time, the two of you have to mentally step back and see what the other is really thinking. Luckily, you know each other very well so it’s not hard to see when either of you are feeling especially insecure or unwell. Regina would literally rip her heart in half if it meant saving you, and at times she’s risked her life for you. She lives for your cuddles, especially when her many duties as a mum, a mayor etc. get on top of her and she just needs a break. You bring her back to herself time and again, and she will always do her utmost to return the favour to you. You have a strong, loving relationship underneath it all. It just takes patience and a special bond to be able to see it from the outside.

Game Of Thrones (GOT): Joffrey Baratheon

Joffrey is the most villainous person on this matchup. I was very hesitant to match you with him, I really was, but some of the others on this list are almost as bad. So. I think your personality would have a more positive effect on him. Cersei got her claws as far into him as she could, but even once she tried to reason with him and keep him reined in, he was too far gone for her to be able to help. But you... Mm. I think you’d have a similar impact on him to Margaery. You put on a front to protect yourself and this would be what Joffrey would listen to... to begin with. Once you’re properly courting and Joffrey is able to see what you don’t say; he would soften. He would still kill and be an utterly evil piece of work, but he would exercise more mercy. He would still wrongfully torment Tyrion, but he would draw a line when you start anxiously tugging on his sleeve. He doesn’t cuddle, mocking the action all together, but then one day he walks in on you curled up in bed reading a book and he just can’t resist curling around you, an arm slung over your shoulders to possessively keep you beside him. It would be a tumultuous, dangerous relationship but then... it’s Westeros, what do you expect?

i swear this is the best twilight series i had the opportunity to read in a loong time!!

I really love the changes that you made, making things more normal, because i was really getting tired of that "all vampires are pearly white" and all that bullshit. and the way they interact with eachother is soo wholesome!! and the friends group and everything!!! amazing!

like i don't even like Edward and this story made me look at him a bit different if you know what i mean, like he is still the depressed and overly dramatic person that he is, but he's more enjoyable in a way

and another thing (or more than one) is the way you portrayed everybody's personalities. i totally believe that having so many characters in a story could led to some of them being flat, but legit you gave them more depth in this story than s*eyer gave them in all four books.
