Seems like Sebastian was getting a cake, and today is Ethan's birthday, so maybe they're celebrating in LA? The idea of him getting a cake for his bestie is adorable :)
Aawww that's really sweet, in more ways than one! 🥰 Maybe his shirt said Cake? 😂 But yes, it would be so sweet if he was getting a cake for Ethan's birthday! If they are celebrating today, I hope they have te best time 🥳💖

3 and 20(for the ask game)
Ooohhh thank you anon!!
3. What fic are you emotionally attached to?
Dates and Delusions! I've probably yelled about this fic enough, but I honestly love it so much. It was the first au that I attempted to write, and it evolved into so much more than I would have ever anticipated. I've considered sequels for my fics before, but this was the first one where I've actually committed to that. The sequel for this fic is at the top of my wip list, and I'll be excited to get back into it once I've finished up my last fluff week fic. I'm not sure who the anon was that sent the request that would eventually turn into this fic, but I'm eternally grateful to them <3
Another one that I think about constantly is Admit Defeat. I wrote this fic as a sort of challenge to myself. I wanted to emulate the way that some of my favorite art makes me feel. I wanted to rattle the soul the very same way, so I painstakingly thought about each and every visual I wanted to convey to leave my readers feeling haunted. And in the end of it, honestly? I felt like I'd succeeded in the way that I wanted to, and I'll love this fic forever because of it.
20. What’s the greatest gift you’ve gotten from your writing?
So it's probably sappy and cliché, but I've met so many wonderful people because of my fic. All the people I wouldn't even know existed if they didn't happen to be into the same shit as I am, if they didn't happen to click a link and read my silly fics. As somebody who doesn't talk to people often and has trouble making friends, that's what's most important to me. So, yeah! The gift of friendship~

JENVERSE
Jenna Ortega/Fem!Reader
Summary: where they all meet
Warnings: death, angst, confusion?
WC: 8.4k
Author's note: This was supposed to be posted a while back but I was too busy moving and completely forgot, so sorry about that. Hope you guys enjoy. Sorry for any mistakes :) also italics means flashbacks
You weren't sure where you were at. One second you were at home and the next you literally blinked and the next thing you knew you were in the middle of the woods. You didn't know how to react. The first thing you thought of was that you had fallen asleep. With the thought it mind you finally got your legs to move. Walking in the wet woods. The more you walked the more confused you got.
Where exactly were you?
It wasn't long till you found an opening, a path leading into a town. The town looked small, unfamiliar. With things still feeling a bit, hazy? You crossed the street leading into town. Not seeing the car driving towards you. The sound of screeching tires, and the impact of the car hitting you was like an ice cold water being dumped over your head. The pain being too real for this to be a dream.
"It can't be."
Was the last thing you heard before your world faded into darkness.
*
Before you actually opened your eyes, you felt the soft bed you were laying in, a smell that seemed like you smelt it before but you couldn't place it anywhere. The pain from being hit by car was still there.
"Fuck, so I'm not dreaming." You finally opened your eyes. The room was unfamiliar, you had no clue where you were. Obviously not a hospital. Getting out of bed was a bit painful but you only had a bruise on your right leg from where the car hit you. "Where the hell am I?"
The room was spacious. Probably bigger than your apartment. You made your way towards the door, limping as you walked out of the room. The house seemed like an old moderen home. A home that reminded you a lot of the Addams Family. You loved that movie.
As you walked down the hall, you heard a few voices. Quietly following the voices. Rounding the corner only to freeze in your steps. You were now in a big living room. But the luxury of the big house wasn't what had you freezing in your step. It was of the people who were standing in the room looking at you like they knew you. The weird thing was how they all looked the same but weirdly different in their own way.
"Uh hello." You gave a small wave lamely. The women in room also seemed frozen in their shoes. But the sound of your voice had them snapping out of what ever they could be thinking of.
"H-How are you feeling?" The one with a southern accent spoke. She was cute, some cute overalls with a yellow striped shirt underneath, but they all were cute really.
To be honest your leg was killing you but it wasn't broken or anything. But seeing the concern shinning and what seemed to be tears misting the girl's eyes you didn't have the heart to worry her more. "I'm okay, don't worry."
But they did worry. They were worried. They didn't know what brought them together but they came to realize that they all had something in common. Something they all had lost. That something was you. The more they got to know each other, the more they spoke about their own Y/n. And their Y/n shared more than a few things in common. One of the things that was shared was, how you would push away any and if not all of your own feelings to make sure their were okay.
They had considered this your only flaw.
"Sit down, how are you really feeling?" The one wearing all black, had walked towards you, directing you towards a chair. Seeing that she didn't seem like she takes no for an answer. You sat down on the chair.
"I'm good really, what's your girls name? Are you guys like sextuplets, that's so cool. I've never met some before. Also who hit me with a car? I'm not mad or anything. Was just wondering. Um I'm Y/n by the way." You cleared your throat feeling your cheeks heating up at the way the women were looking at you.
"N-Yes, we're sextuplets. I'm Cairo." Cario, who also had a southern accent although hers wasn't as strong as the woman in overalls is. She had cut off the one in baggy clothes, you couldn't get over how beautiful every single one of them are. How they all looked the same but yet different by the way they dressed and styled their hair.
"I'm Vada." The one with baggy clothes said. Her eyes also seemed to fill with unshed tears as she tried to avoid your eyes. Her voice coming out shaky.
"My name is Lorraine." The one with overalls.
"Tara." She was sitting in between Vada and Lorraine. She also refused to look you in the eyes though.
"Mable." This one the other hand couldn't take her eyes off of you. You didn't mind. A part of you wanted to be looked at by the beautiful women in front of you.
"And I'm Wednesday. My friend was the one to hit you with a her vehicle. You had come out of woods so quickly she barely had enough time to stop. So I know you're lying." The one in all black said. But her name had you taking a closer look. She did give off the Addams Family vibes.
"Well it's a bit sore, but I'm fine really. Nothing I can't handle." You said with a beaming smile. Hoping that it could prove that you were, really fine. But all you got from the girl standing in front of you was a look of pure sadness. "Okay what gives? Why are all you looking at me like I'm dead or something? I swear it's not the first time someone's hit me with a car."
The six pair of eyes looked away from you. You could feel the grief coming from all of them. You weren't sure what to do. They all looked like they could use a hug. You were never really good at comforting people. But the strong desire to comfort every single one of them, was strong.
"Are..Are you guys alright? I'm sorry if I said something wrong, I didn't mean to. My mouth tends to run before I can actually process what I'm thinking. I consider it a flaw. But you know, well not that you do know cause I'm basically a stranger-uh I'm gonna shut up." You scratched your neck felling stupid and extremely embarrassed. You could feel your body over heating and your cheeks burning.
Man I gotta learn how to keep my mouth shut.
The women in the room could only look at you in a sort of awe, a yearning look. They all missed their own Y/n. Seeing a version of their Y/n standing in front of them was, sorrowful. They knew you would go back to your earth. Just like every single one of them would. A world where their Y/n wasn't there.
From the corner of your eye you saw Wednesday walk towards you. You looked towards her and even though she had a straight face, you could see a storm in those dark brown eyes. Which was weird. You could never read people like this.
"Do you know how you got here?"
That was a good question. You don't know. Last thing you remembered you were editing your video, your eyes had felt dry and they were burning from looking at your computer screen for too long. You had shut your eyes for not even a full minute. When you opened them you were in the middle of the woods. You honestly would have still thought this was a dream if you didn't get hit by that car.
"Uh I don't know. This is going to sound crazy but one second I was in my room editing one of my videos and the next I was in the woods." Saying it out loud did in fact sound crazy. If these girls thought you were high on drugs you certainly wouldn't blame them.
"Y/n do you believe in the multiverse?"
The sight of you straightening up and smiling down at Wednesday it had been the first time in three months since she's seen that familiar smile in person. She knew how much she missed yo-her Y/n. How much she craved her Y/n's presence. How empty she had felt since her Y/n...died. Y/n had died a painful death. Her Y/n had been shot and killed during a school shooting. She remembered that day like it were yesterday. How she wished she had been with you. Or wished that she would have stopped you from leaving the class room.
But she wasn't the only one to lose you in a school shooting, taking a quick glance at Vada, who was already looking at her. She knew that look. And she was sure she had the same look in her eye.
The only difference was she avenged her y/n, killed and tortured the man who took her y/n away from her. That man died a long painful death. No one could prove it was her. Vada didn't have that same privilege.
"Oh yeah! Just the thought of there being more earths is so fascinating, other versions of yourself is such a scary but yet pretty cool thought." You answered. Everyone in the room paying close attention to you.
"Do you know of someone named Jenna Ortega?" Cairo asked as she leaned back into her seat. Her eyes intensely looking at you. Refusing to look away.
"Uh name sounds familiar. But personally I don't think so." You lived in Alaska, didn't have any type of social media. Just your YouTube channel. You absolutely loved living in Alaska, making little survival videos was a lovely pastime. It was also your income.
"Alright we are going to cut this short. I'm tired biting around the bush. Is your name Y/n Y/mn Y/ln? Were you born in y/ht? Is your mom Y/mn and dad Y/dn? Was your first camera a Polaroid 600?"
The girl you know as Tara finally spoke. Her eyes misting with unshed tears. Her gaze was strong, this was the first time she actually looked at you. And her eyes held so much pain and, regret?
"What the..? How-How do you know that?" You were now a bit more than just confused. A little weirded out, that someone you just met, knew so much about you.
"Y/n we aren't sextuplets, we aren't from this earth and neither are you." Tara said her voice firm and serious. It felt like it's been too long since she last saw yo-her Y/n. Her Y/n had died in the attacks in New York. Her Y/n died in her arms in that theater. She remembered begging. Pleading for her Y/n to not leave her. Begging for forgiveness for not trusting you. Hating herself for not trusting you, for turning her back on you. Everything that was left unsaid. The guilt, the grief, it had almost lead her to her own death.
"I don't know why you're here or why we're here but we have some theories." Tara said her gaze no longer looking at you. She couldn't keep looking, feeling like she was unworthy to look in your eyes.
"Alright, so what are those theories?" A part of you didn't believe her but yet she spoke so seriously. It was kinda hard not to believe her.
Every single one of them pulled a phone or in Wednesday's and Lorraine's case, a picture. You furrowed your eyebrows confused as they all handed you their phones and pictures. Only for your eyes to widen. In every single picture there was a version of, you.
Your hair styled differently in every photo but you nevertheless. In every picture you looked happy with every single girl being close to you in a romantic way. The first picture was of you and Lorraine. This version of you was on a horse in a open field, a cowboy hat on your head as Lorraine sat in front of you, your arms wrapped around her waist in such a loving way as Lorraine looked at you with so much love.
The next picture was of a different version of you with Wednesday, you were both in uniforms, in what seemed to be in a dark dorm room, it was clear that you were the one holding up the camera taking the picture. This version of you was smiling as well as you had Wednesday pulled close to you.
The next picture was of you and Mable in front what seemed to be a wrecked boat. Mable was smiling wide as she hugged your side, one hand under your shirt as you had an arm wrapped around her shoulder, leaning down as you kissed the top of her head.
The next picture was of you and Cairo, although this one seemed more platonic than romantic. You were both seating at what seemed to be a couch in a room, someone else was clearly taking the picture, Cairo looking at you with such longing as you just smiled at the camera.
The next one was with you and Vada, with her on your lap as you sat on a bench. The phone was propped up by something as you both smiled at the camera. Her arms wrapped around your shoulders, her cheeks pressed to yours.
The last picture was of you and Tara. You both were cuddled up on a couch, most of her body was on top of you her hand had been creasing your cheek, as your own arms were wrapped around her waist.
You honestly never seen yourself so happy and in love. In every single picture, you were happy. But the question now running through your mind now. If you were so happy and in love in these pictures.
Where were you.
It was like they could read your mind. Cause the next words out of Cairo's mouth were the answers to why your other yous weren't present.
"You're dead in our earths."
"Oh."
It explained why they always looked so sad when they looked at you. You wanted to know how you died. But you didn't want to offend or bring back bad memories for them. Clearly losing a version of yourself was hard for them. Judging by the way they all avoided your eyes.
"Like Tara said, we don't know why we're here. But it seems that you are a common factor in our lives." Wednesday spoke after a moment of silence.
"Okay, okay so what exactly do you girls want-Wait, um how did I, uh how did my...doppelgänger? I'm not sure if I should even ask."
Wednesday took mercy on you, "It was different. Which is why we think it's best if everyone has their own moment with you."
*
She didn't know what was going on, she remembered going to sleep after a busy, hectic day. She had been tired, so exhausted. She loved her job, it was something she had worked so hard to do and to be the person she was today. Loving every single roll she had done, but with those rolls came the exhaustion of having to be the best she could. Her fame had grown and cause of this there wasn't much she could do without being seen and stopped.
She loved her fans, but what she loved more was a moment of peace.
The celebrity life came with so much opportunities and luxuries, it also came with so many down falls. What she longed more than anything was someone to trust, someone to love. Someone who loved her for who she was, not because she was Jenna Ortega but because she was just a girl who longed to be loved. She had tried to find that type of love. But it had been hard, especially since she was celebrity. People only wanted to date her cause of what her name could give them.
The noise of laughter brought her back to the situation she was in now. She seemed to be at a farm house, one she never seen before. The noise from outside was so, quiet, but yet loud. Not the type of loud that busy cities brought. The loud noise that she gotten used to. No it was the nature type of loud. The birds, the slight noise of the wind. It was peaceful.
But where the hell was she.
Walking towards the window, the sight of acres of farm had her freezing at the sight. Fear gripping her heart. The confusion doubled when she glanced at the mirror. Double taking when she realized what she was wearing. More like who she looked like.
Lorraine.
The character she played in the movie X. But there was no cameras here. There was never a farm where her lived, other than the one in the movie. And this was nothing like it. Lorraine's character never had a room and this one was clearly hers, based off all the pictures. Her eyes stopping at the sight of a beautiful woman with gorgeous y/ec eyes standing close to her character Lorraine. The way those obvious strong arms wrapped around Lorraine shoulders from behind. As they both smiled to camera.
There was more pictures of this y/ec eyed woman.
"What the fuck is happening."
*
The house was empty. But the more she explored the house the more confusion and questions came. Her character Lorraine never had parents, but this one did. She was so confused and she didn't even know where to start to get answers.
"Lorraine? You okay in there? We were supposed to go horse back riding."
The voice was the most gentle spoken voice she had ever heard. This causing her to open the door. Her jaw dropping slightly at the sight of the most beautiful, handsome woman she's ever laid eyes on.
Feeling a warm hand on her cheek, had her leaning towards that warmth subconsciously. Something about this person calmed her, made her feel safe?
"Hey you okay? You're looking a little pale. Let's go lay you down? I could call Wayne, tell them you're not up for that trip?"
"Uh..." She couldn't focus, this persons hands were so soft, she was completely in awe at this woman's beauty.
So was this a dream? A weird dream of a movie she was in, but the person in front of her wasn't in the movie. She was a complete stranger. A beautiful stranger. Back to the said trip was something that ends up killing her.
"You can't say no."
The eerie sound of her own voice talking to her, had her looking away from the girl in front of her. Looking at...her character Lorraine.
"What?" The cowgirl didn't move she was oddly still. Her eyes not even blinking.
"You can't stop what's going to happen."
"You're not real-But I am. This is real. You're not dreamin'. If anything I'm the one who's dreamin'."
"Her name is Y/n. She's beautiful ain't she."
Jenna stood shocked, eyes wide when Lorraine's hand moved to touch Y/n's cheek only for her hand to go through like if she were a ghost.
"What's going on? Where am I? How are you even real?" The questions left her mouth before she could process them.
"Do you believe in the multiverse?"
"No, yes, maybe. I don't know. You're telling me you're from another earth?"
"This may have been a movie for you, but for me, it was real." Lorraine couldn't look away from you. You were as beautiful as the last time she saw you. How she wished she could touch you, kiss you, hug you one more time. She would never let you go.
*
Jenna only blinked and she was no longer at that warm farm house but now she was that familiar cabin. Except now there was no camera crew. No camera, filming equipment other than Owen-RJ's camera and sound equipment. But now here she was getting ready for that scene she films with Sco-Jackson. Except it wasn't Jackson. It was Y/n.
"She was the best I ever had. Not because she knew what she was doing. But because how she made me feel. She made feel so loved. I loved her. More than I could ever love anyone." How Lorraine wished she had more time with you. More time to show you how much she really did love you. You never got a chance to hear her say I love you.
The scene changed before she could see the scene. Watching the after math. How Y/n cared for Lorraine. How the taller girl made sure she was alright. Those y/ec eyes filled with so much love. She never knew someone could look so in love. But then the scene changed again. No longer was she in the cabin but in the kitchen.
Watching as y/n rushed into the kitchen. Getting Lorraine out of the basement. Instead of panicking and running out of the kitchen like she did and getting shot. Y/n was able to calm Lorraine down.
She watched at Y/n put the safety of Lorraine first before her own. Watching as the taller girl was obviously injured as well. As the two hid in the attic, she also watched how you held Lorraine close. How Y/n tried to comfort Lorraine.
The next moments were like in slow motion. How you struggled to keep the attic door closed as Lorraine tried to look for a way out. Her own heart lurched as they barely made out of the window. From the distance she could hear the police quickly approaching. But it had been too late.
The sound of Lorraine crying out, her own arms reaching to catch the tall girl from falling off the roof. It was too late. Watching as Lorraine jumped from the roof as the gun shots rang out. Landing right next to you in pile of hay.
Hearing her cries, begging Y/n to stay awake. Begging, the cries of pure anguish, her own eyes filled with tears.
*
It felt like wipe lash when she blinked again and was in a completely different environment. This time she was in a place that resembled the bar that was back in Massachusetts. She could still feel Lorraine's grief, it made her want to cry out as well. Feeling like she was the one to lose Y/n.
"Hey baby." Mable had came into the bar with a smile, although it was more of a smirk. Hugging someone from behind, Mable's arms wrapping around the person sitting back on the couch shoulders. Before getting on their lap.
She watched as her, doppelgänger? Was this another universe? The confusion came back watching as her character from yet another movie she made was an actual person kiss...Y/n? But yet this Y/n looked different but yet the same. This y/n was dressed a lot more laid back then the cowboy Y/n. Cowboy Y/n had been dressed for farm work.
She could only watch as Mable was a lot more affectionate with Y/n and that was saying something seeing as her character Mable was only affectionate with Toby-Charlie behind closed doors. The smile that Mable had on her face was the same look as the one Lorraine had. The look of pure love.
"How about you and me get outta here?"
The smile on Y/n's face made her blush a bit. The turmoil of emotions she was feeling was giving her wipelash. She just saw a version of this person die. And now this version of the person was smiling and clearly suggesting something...
"Mmh come on. I know the perfect spot."
It felt invasive. She felt like she shouldn't watch this moment. Feeling she was intruding on something that she had no business doing. But the way she saw Mable interact with this Y/n was, something she longed for. But she couldn't get the way Lorraine's Y/n had died out of her head.
~
The scene had changed so drastically, she remembers this scene, even though it wasn't in the movie. How Mable was beat to get information on the drugs. But this time Mable wasn't alone. Y/n had been with her. This Y/n did the exact same thing, the cowboy version of Y/n had done. Risked her own life to protect Mable.
"Stop it! I swear. I swear I don't know where it is!"
Mable cried as she was held down as she watched them beat you. You had tried to fight back but you had been quickly over powered. She could only watch as their fist came down hard on to your face and body.
"Mm I don't know. Seems to me like you're lying."
The sound of the gun clicking had her thrashing hard trying everything and anything to get out of this guys hold.
But it wasn't enough.
"No!! Please! Please!! Stop it! Don't do this please."
"Show her why you shouldn't fuck with me or my money."
The sound of y/n chocking on her own blood had her tears blur her vision, "it's it's okay Mable. It's okay. It's-"
Her eyes widen in shock as the gun shot rang through her ears, the cry leaving Mable's mouth falling on deaf ears as her own hands covered her mouth as she also cried out. Her legs had moved forward without realizing as she had tried to stop the gun men but her hands had gone right through.
Her eyes refusing to looking away from Y/n's unmoving body.
*
She wanted to wake up from this horrible night mare. She didn't even know this Y/n but seeing her die twice already was, too much. The ache, the loss she felt was too much.
But she knew, that this wasn't over. Not when she saw the familiar school. Which meant one thing. This one she could prepare herself for. Hopefully.
School shooting.
"Hey there my precious little Adam Sandler."
The mock scuff which was more of snort of laughter was what the taller girl got in response. Leaning down to kiss those lips.
"Shut up, we should totally ditch."
Y/n’s back was quick to face the shorter girl, crouching down a bit so she could reach. "Hop on my lady."
Jenna watched with a small sad smile. Knowing what was to come. She was still confused, but that last two, it was starting to connect in her own mind. She had two theories. This Y/n was obvious a common factor, someone her cha-doppelgängers cared for.
This time she wasn't surprised when the scene changed. Hearing the soft cries of Vada, Mia and Quinton. The sound of gunshots going off in the distance. The distant noise of the police sirens and shouts followed by more gun shots.
"Y/n, open your eyes. Come on. Please."
Even though she had tried to prepare herself for what she was going to see. No amount of preparations could prepare for what she was seeing.
"Don't leave me. Please." Vada had refused to accept you were gone. Even though she could no longer feel your chest moving. She couldn't help the sobs that left her body.
The pure anguish was too much to bare. She could only watch as the cops came into the bathroom. Faces full of hidden anger, anguish and so many other emotions. They took Mia and Quinton. She watched as the cop checked Y/n's pulse on her wrist and when he got nothing he looked away. Trying to hide his tears.
"I'm sorry kid. She's gone."
Vada shook her head. Pulling you closer. "No, please help her. You have to help her." Your head falling limply on her shoulder. She never felt this type of pain. Her heart felt like it had been torn to shreds.
The police officer looked behind him helplessly. The paramedic that was with him nodded and put her bag down. Doing her job. But the paramedic knew it was no use. The kid was cold to the touch. There was no pulse.
"I'm sorry, but she's gone. There's nothing I can do."
~
"Oh my god Y/n for the last time. I know what I'm doing. I'm eighteen. I'm not a child."
"But Cairo, he's a grown man and married. It's wrong. He's your teacher."
You had found out by accident, having come across them awfully close outside a what appeared to be a library. You were worried, afraid that Mr.Miller was abusing his power as her teacher and making her do things for a better grade. Not that she needed a better grade. Cairo was smart.
"I don't care. I know what I want, if you're here just to complain about my life choices, I think you should leave."
You swallowed the lump in your throat, you hated when Cairo closed off like this. How she always turned in to being so mean when she felt like she was being put in a corner. You didn't want her to feel like that. "Cairo, I just don't want to see you get hurt or taken advantage of."
"I don't need you to keep saving me Y/n. I don't need it."
This one was different from all the others. This one for obvious reasons, her doppelgänger and Y/n weren't romantically involved. This one she could see the hurt look on Y/n's face.
The second Y/n was out of the room, she saw the look of regret wash over Cairo's face.
~
"Come on Cairo, hurry up!" It had been two weeks since your little fight with Cairo. As much as you had been a bit hurt and extremely disappointed, you couldn't control Cairo. If she wanted to be with that man, you couldn't stop it. She was her own person. So you had live with that.
But you had been so close to talking to the principal. The person to stop you had been Winnie. Talking in to not saying anything. In the fear of damaging more of Cairo's reputation and chances at a her preferred college. So that had stopped you.
With the hopes that Cairo would open her eyes and see what that man was doing was wrong, you stepped back. Although, you still kept a close eye.
From the interactions she saw of Cairo and this Y/n, they held back so much emotions it was almost overwhelming. The confusion of the way these two completely ignored their own feelings. In the fear of rejection. How she watched this Y/n, pour her own feelings in letters. Accepting that Cairo would never feel the same way. How you tried your best to move on.
Cairo's story was a bit different than all the others. It angered her so much that Cairo couldn't see how much she had been hurting Y/n.
But she also saw how much Cairo herself had hid her own feelings towards Y/n's. So if obvious when this Y/n started dating her soccer coach, how jealous Cairo had gotten. She watched as Cairo saw reason and started pulling away from Mr.Miller. What she also saw was how angered Mr.Miller had gotten.
The scene changed, she heard the struggle of a fight before anything. Then followed the gun shot, then an echoing silence. Before a gut wrenching sob broke the silence. She couldn't find it in her self to turn the corner to see Cairo. To see Cairo's Y/n dead. Just like the others. She couldn't keep going through this. The pain of it all was too much.
The cries became muffled.
Another y/n lost.
*
"Wednesday?"
That was the voice of Emma Myers. Standing at the entrance of the dorm room was a sad/worried looking Enid. Wednesday stood by a board, a man in his mid thirties in the center of it all. There was no sign of Y/n. Maybe this one was different, maybe-her eyes stopped at the sight of five pictures. Her eyes finding the picture she was scared to find. There she was, Y/n in the nevermore uniform along with the other nevermore students. Under the word victims.
"Y/n wouldn't want this Wednesday.
"Y/n is dead. And I'll make sure she gets the justice she deserves."
~
Jenna had to witness Wednesday's fall into madness. Part of her felt relieved that she didn't have to witness another Y/n's death. But this, this felt worse. To witness the grief, the anger, the need to get the desired revenge in Wednesday. When Wednesday finally found the man, it had been. Worse than she could imagine.
Behind the anger, the grief was always growing. Seeing the way that Wednesday tortured the man. He's cries for mercy going ignored. He's pleas of forgiveness, they were met with even more brutal force. Broken bones, all the blood in the room. It did nothing to fill the emptiness in the Addam's heart. And Jenna knew that.
"I'm sorry."
"Sorry won't bring her back."
*
She hated this. She was now somewhere that was a bit more quiet. No sounds of violence. No cries for help. No begging for the other to stay.
"Someone tell me what the fuck is going on?!"
She was tired of seeing this. Seeing her doppelgängers suffer. Losing someone they loved.
"We don't know. But for some reason. Y/n seems to be in the center of it."
Turning around to see Tara. This Tara seemed older. Which was weird. She never really had to try hard to look young. But Tara, she looked like she was in her mid twenties. No longer a high school student. Or a college student.
"Why is this happening? How are you, real?" She was finally talking to one of her chara-doppelgänger. It was something she still couldn't believe. But it was hit more easier to accept. With Lorraine it felt like the girl wasn't talking directly to her but more to herself.
"Your guess is as good as mine."
Jenna took in the appearance of Tara. As well put as she was, Jenna could see the sadness in those eyes. Tara was more mature. She was afraid to ask. Afraid of the answer she would get to the question she already knew the answer to. Every single one of the doppelgängers were different, but they all shared the same look in their eyes.
"Mmh how about you come with me. We could lay under the stars-In Alaska?!" Tara's laugh cut you off. Your own laugh joined hers. You knew how easy Tara got cold. Winter time was always a struggle for the girl.
"We'll be in the proper gear, bundled up nice and warm. Watching the northern lights together." Your arms pulled her closer to you, she was quick to wrap her own arms around your torso. Craving the warmness that you always provided to her.
"She wanted so badly to go to Alaska."
Wanted. Past tense. She let out a soft sigh as she let Tara reminisce. The memory of them changed again. The memories played like a movie.
You stood in the kitchen, ears covered with headphones as she cooked for the group. Tara sat on the counter scrolling on her phone. She had wanted to be in your presence while you cooked but didn't want to bother your deep focus on your craft. She also loved being your little taste tester. The way you would spoon feed her some of the food. How you would stand between her legs, when you had few minutes to spare before you had to return to cooking. Gently rubbing her back as you embraced, it was a peace of quiet and comfort that she always looked forward to.
"Was it ghostface?" Jenna couldn't help but to ask. Tara and Y/n had looked so happy. So at peace.
Tara sighed as her eyes refused to look away from what she was seeing. This memory was one of her favorites. The peace that you brought her had always calmed her in a way no one else could. "Yeah." But she had ruined it.
Of course it was ghostface. She felt stupid that she even asked that question.
*
Jenna stood in the kitchen. The air was tense. It was completely from the comfort and warmth that she felt in the kitchen.
"What? You think I'm just gonna take a knife outta my ass now?" You were fed up. Angry, hurt, feeling betrayed. First they didn't let you go with Anika, cause they wanted to keep their eyes on you and now they refused to even let you speak. You tried so hard to ignore the need to cry. You felt like you were loosing everything.
"So who are you working with. I mean you were obviously in the apartment when the other ghostface was attacking. But now Gale is on the verge of death." Detective Bailey wasn't letting up. If anything he was the one to continue hammering you with questions.
You were tired of defending yourself. So you just stayed quiet. "Got nothing to say?"
"Detective, stop. She hasn't left our side." Tara said from leaning on the wall. Her eyes refusing to meet yours. The little moment you had when she defended you outside the apartment long gone.
Bailey scoffed, "of course she hasn't Tara. It's why there's always a second ghostface. Always someone else to continue killing people while the other plays the victim. Don't think I won't hesitate to put a bullet through your skull if I even see you raise a finger at these girls."
You didn't know what else to do. How else to prove your innocence. Not when no one else believed you and the one person that did was in the hospital fighting for her life. How you wished you had gone with Anika.
"You thought she was ghostface?" Jenna couldn't even believe the words coming out of her own mouth. She felt like she knew where this was going. Seeing the heartbroken and lonely look in those y/ec eyes had been just as gut wrenching.
Tara hated seeing the way she had treated you in your last hours. Seeing you like this again had her heart breaking once again. "I—I was scared."
Jenna wanted to scoff but she bit her lip, "and you think she wasn't?" She couldn't help herself. Seeing this version of Y/n so broken and lonely made her feel so, protective? She always had been protective of the people she loved family, friends. But this type of protectiveness. It was new.
Tara teared her eyes away from you. "I have no excuse. In her final moments, I didn't deserve the love she had for me. I let my fear win over everything I felt for her."
"No he's lying!!" "Please Tara, you have to believe-Oh Y/n they didn't believe you then. They sure won't believe you know. I mean, you always called them your family. But that wasn't the case with you was it? You should have seen them, when you became a suspect. How easy it was to hack your phone, make them believe you didn't answer their calls."
The broken and betrayed look in this Y/n's eyes, had been so immense. Jenna could only watch helplessly once again as a version of Y/n was at a life threatening situation. A death that would be unavoidable.
*
"You let her die, if you'd had just believed her. She would have had better chance at surviving." The words left her mouth before she could stop them. The anger she felt at seeing y/n die once again but this time with the feeling of feeling of being unloved. All the other Y/n's deaths they dead still feeling loved. Scared but loved.
This y/n. This y/n died thinking no one trusted her. That no one loved her enough to believe her. The look in those y/ec eyes made he want to punch Tara. Tara and all the other friends.
"I've seen her die so many different ways. But in all those ways she died with the person who she loved showing her she was loved in her final moments. But you. You at every chance let her down."
"You don't think I know that? You don't think that every day that's passed since she's been gone I haven't blamed myself. I don't know what I was thinking alright! All I felt was fear. Amber did it to me and and the thought of Y/n doing it to me crossed my mind and it stayed." Tara cried in anger. She didn't deserve you. She let her own fear win over and now she lost the one person that she loved the most.
Jenna looked away from Tara, the scene now at a cemetery. The grave with Y/n's name, picture, date of birth with the date of death. The grave filled with flowers.
"She died thinking I didn't love her. It's never left my mind. It's enough for to want to end it. And I know that's selfish. We all lost our Y/n in a brutal way. I think it's why we're here." Tara spoke in a different tone. Her fingers creasing the stone.
"We're all connected to y/n. A different version of y/n, but the same person. I think it's the universes way of saying that maybe one version of ourselves deserves their happiness with Y/n. Maybe it's you."
**^
Jenna woke up with start, feeling nauseated, disoriented, her head was spinning, the ache in her heart was too strong. She wouldn't say she didn't believe in soul mates but, something about this Y/n. To see this Y/n and her doppelgängers love so deeply so purely. But then to see that love be taken away from her doppelgängers. It had been soul crushing. To see the agony, the heartache in their eyes. It affected her as well.
She didn't even know how to find her Y/n, cause that who you were right? Her soulmate. The confusion on why this was happening still remained but it wasn't as much anymore.
"Jenna!? Do you plan to sleep in the whole day?! Come on get up!" The sound of her sisters voice Aliyah, she remembers now being on a long well deserved break. After the success of Beetle Juice 2 and Wednesday season 2. Her manager had her take a good few months off. Granted she still had some interviews and photo shoots to do. But those weren't as draining.
She was back home. Barely a day but yet it felt longer. This made her feel even more confused as she got up and got ready for the day. Stepping out of her shared bedroom. Her mind wondered back to Y/n. She couldn't explain this new sense of loneliness she was now feeling. The love that her doppelgängers shared with their own Y/n.
The love and happiness that they had shared was something she always feared in a way. To love and give yourself to someone like that had always scared her. But what she feared now was finding that love only for it to be taken away from her.
"—most people sell these off grid cabins with all their equipment and other things still here. Because of how deep, the snow gets, getting moving trucks down here is a big no. Also the roads here are all muddy when it's not covered in snow."
Her heart felt like it picked up its pace at the sound of that voice coming from the living room. Turning into the living only to see you on the tv screen. There you were in what looked like a small cabin in the middle of the woods. You were recording yourself with an excited smile on your face.
"Oh check it out, it's a log splitter. And it works! Oh man this will come in handy."
Her eyes couldn't look away. Your smile, your eyes. So full of life and happiness. "Is that—That's Y/n, a YouTuber dad started watching. She's pretty interesting, makes survival hunting fishing all in one videos. So what's your plan...You okay?" She couldn't hear her younger sister talking. All she could focus on was how you looked.
She had to find you. Had to find a way to get to you.
*
You couldn't wrap your head around what happened. Your neck ached from the passion you woke up in. Here you were, at your house in Alaska editing your latest video. You didn't remember falling asleep. But seeing those women suffering in such way had been gut wrenching. The pain they had felt it, you felt. The ache of it all had been so intense, so overwhelming.
You never knew love like that. Feeling like you'd always end dying alone. Always referred as the cool aunt that lives in the middle of butt fuck no where. To have someone love you so deeply, so strongly like that was so bizarre. You didn't even know where to find this person. Jenna Ortega.
You blinked away the dryness in your eyes. Quickly going on google to type in the name. Your jaw dropping at the sight. There she was as beautiful as ever. A star actress from the hit show Wednesday, age twenty two, big movies such as Scream and Beetle Juice. She was a big star one that was guaranteed hard to get in contact.
*
The sound of knocking on your door grabbed your attention, as you exited your bathroom from taking a shower. You were quick to put on a hoodie, as you hurried to the door. You weren't sure who could it be seeing as your closest neighbors were almost twenty miles away. With the how cold it was outside you knew no vehicle without some strong durability to these roads was going to be out in these conditions.
With the door being pulled open your greetings stayed stuck in your throat. It had been two weeks since that dream. Cause there was no way it could be real, right? Did you take a little chance and follow the actress. Yes. Did you DM her? Yes. But nothing came out of that. So you chucked it up to being a crazy dream. The huge bruise on your left leg, you brushed it off as hurting yourself while you filmed your videos and just never noticed.
Those dark brown eyes looked at you in way that made you feel so exposed. Her gentle smile felt like a spark starting to burn in your chest. A cold breeze and her shivering pulled you from your thoughts.
"C-Come in."
It took a bit longer for her to find you. But thankfully she was Jenna Ortega. She had ways to find people. And she the money to get what she wanted. And what she wanted was to find you. And here you were looking absolutely breath taking. Looking, alive.
The warmness off the house was enough to warm her completely. But the warmness that you brought without even trying was even better.
There was no awkwardness in the room. Just a lingering shyness, words unspoken.
"So it wasn't a dream. Right? I mean that's why you're here, right? It's uh bit crazy you know, I didn't want to believe, not that your not great cause you are but because it's that your so great and incredibly beautiful, uh I just thought it was some weird dream cause l mean I don't really know what I mean I just, oh my god please say something, I can't stop talking. I'm just really nervous all of sudden—Hey take a deep breath."
Her hands had taken your in hers. Your hands had felt so warm and much bigger than hers. She couldn't help but smile, your rambling was so adorable. Making her feel warm inside. It was odd, to feel this comfortable with someone she just met. But yet it felt like she knew you. That feeling that she's felt since she woke up, that emptiness was gone. At the feeling of your hands in her it was like a missing piece in her puzzle.
At the sight of the redness of your cheeks as your breathing settled into a much calmer pace.
"Sorry."
With a squeeze to your hand, "It's okay. I know all this is crazy. And there's no way to actually prove what we experienced."
You didn't say anything on how she kept your hand in hers. You liked the feeling of having her soft small hands holding yours.
"Well seeing as we're still strangers. hi my name is Y/n, a pleasure to meet you."
"Jenna Ortega. The pleasure is all mine."
***
In separate universes, six woman gasped awake. Breathing heavily as tears streamed down their cheeks. The agony that they had to relive was almost too much. As they cried softly to themselves, a noise coming from their side had them snapping their heads to the noise. Only to see their own version of Y/n. Their cries of relief were muffled as they took y/n in.
Sleeping soundly next to them.
Alive.
It had felt so real.
Y/n had survived the attack of those crazy old people.
Y/n had survived vicious beating of those drug dealers. The sound of the gun shot had hit the cabinet door behind her.
Y/n had survived the school shooting. Barely making it.
Y/n had survived the poisonous bullets.
Y/n had survived the psycho that was Jonathan Miller. Finding a way to be with Cairo.
Y/n had survived the ghostface attacks. Working to repair the broken trust with Tara.
You had survived.

Being in the same friend group with a person you absolutely adore and can't take your eyes off, is really, really hard. And it's even worse when that person is your best friend, Aggu. He is simply gorgeous.
Sometimes it was hard to watch him interact with so many women and men. They threw themselves at him, but you couldn't blame them. Who wouldn't do that?
"Are you jealous?" You asked, as the unwanted stranger left after Aggu remarked that you didn't want to grab some drinks with that guy. You were at some lame party and this guy was trying to know you a bit, but he didn't stand a chance. There was Aggu to stop that.
"What? Me? No, never." He muttered and wrapped his arm around your shoulders, pulling you more into his side. It was strange to see him like that. To keep you by his side all the time. Keeping you to himself, but you didn't mind at all. You were glad that it was you who he wanted beside him and not some random person.
"Hmm, right. So you wouldn't mind if I'll go get something to drink, right?" You knew you caught him here. Maybe he wasn't jealous, but he still didn't want you to leave him. Without other questions you stood up, but before you could go anywhere, Aggu asked you.
"Where are you going?"
"Just to the toilet, don't worry. I'm not going to that weirdo." You loved to mess with him. To rile him up a little.
"Oh, okay."
As you disappeared from their sights, Joost immediately turned to look at his friend and said.
"Man, you're smitten." Joost remarked, smirking. Seeing how his friend was acting around you.
"What are you talking about?" His red face and ears were a sign that he was lying.
Joost knew that. On the other hand, he hoped that he will make a move and told you as soon as possible. If he won't, there will always be someone who will do that.
"C'mon don't pretend, well, at least not in front of me."
Aggu sighed and rubbed his forehead with his hand, obviously in distress. He knew he couldn't keep something like that a secret. "Is it that obvious?"
"For me? Yes, it is."
"Shit."
"You gotta tell her. She won't be single forever..." Joost urged, and he was right.
"I know, but what if I'm not her type? Or she'll say something like I wanna stay friends, sorry." This sentence really scared him. He would rather be forever friends with you, then destroying something that could be one-sided.
"She won't. She's literally just as smitten as you are." Joost insisted, trying to calm him down.
But before Aggu could say something, you came back with a smile on your pretty face. You sat back down in your seat next to Aggu. He wrapped his arm back around your shoulders, as it was before.
"What were you guys talking about?" You innocently asked and looked at Aggu, then at Joost and then back at Aggu. Feeling him tense a bit, you frowned. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry." He answered with a dry laugh and rubbed his hand on your shoulder in resurance.
You gave him a strange look, but didn't ask more. If he wanted to tell you something, then he would. "Okay...but why are you both acting so weird?"
"We're not." They answered at the same time. Aggu sent a warning look to Joost. Telling him to stop it, immediately.
You spent the rest of the evening in Aggu's and Joost's company. But the longer you stayed here, in the center of the party, the more you wanted to go home. It was getting too noisy and you didn't want your head hurt that much the next day.
"Are you okay?" Aggu asked, realizing how quiet you became.
"Yeah, my head just hurts a bit from that loud music."
"Do you wanna go home?"
You just nodded your head yes. Feeling tired all of sudden.
Aggu didn't need to be told twice. You and him said your goodbyes to Joost and left.
You knew he wouldn't leave you alone, so there wasn't even a point in persuading him to stay at the party.
"It was fine. I'm glad I went." You told him, sending a smile his way. He returned the gesture, sending you one right back.
"Yeah, me too."
Normally you didn't mind that awkward silence, but this time it felt different. Like both of you wanted to say something, but neither of you could bring yourself to say it.
"Do you, perhaps, want to sleep over at my place tonight?" Aggu asked and reached his hand for yours.
"Yeah, I would like that." You answered him and took his hand. Many times before you had slept over his place. Because that's what best friends do, right? They are everywhere together. They do everything together.
---
"I prepared some clothes for you to change into."
"Thank you Aggu." You took his clothes from him and made your way to the bathroom to shower and then change.
He gave you one of his boxers and white shirt with Bambi on it. It is one of your favourite ones, and he knows that. It was too big for you, but you really didn't mind, it smelled like him. Maybe that's why you liked it that much.
You looked at yourself in the mirror and thought how you actually ended up here. In this situation.
Sighing, you left the bathroom and noticed that Aggu was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking at his phone. When he noticed you, he put his phone down. He had to say that he loved to see you in nothing, but his clothes.
"Aggu." You said with a small smile as he kept on staring.
"Aggu." Still nothing, but you could see how his mouth was turning up to a little smile.
"Aggu." You looked down on your feet, feeling hot in the face as he was staring at you.
"I love when you say my name."
You raised your head and made eye contact with him. He was looking right into your eyes.
"You do?"
"I do."
He stood up and made his way towards you. Still holding eye contact, neither of you breaking it. Stepping closer, he carefully put his hands on your hips and said.
"Friends don't look at each other like we do..."
"And we are friends?" You asked, looking into his eyes.
"I'm hoping to be something more..." Aggu admitted. Waiting for your protests, but you didn't say anything.
You put your left hand on the back of his neck, softly running your fingers through the ends of his hair and other hand on his jaw. Leaning closer to him, but keeping safe distance if he didn't want to kiss you back.
"Can I kiss you?" He asked and licket his lips. His focus full on you. "One little kiss won't change our friendship, right?"
"Yeah, you're probably right."
He leaned in and kissed you.
His hands that were on your hips pulled you closer. He pushed you against the cold wall behind you, making goosebumps swarm all over your body. He traced your curves with his hands as he deepened the kiss, nibbling on your lower lip. Your hands gripped the back of his head, as his hands squeezed and teased you, as you moaned into the kiss.
You break apart after a few seconds. A smile on both of your faces as you breathed.
"I love that taste of you." Aggu admitted and dipped his head lower and started kissing your neck. "I love it.”

Kinktober Day 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
starring: rafe cameron x male reader
request: Rafe Cameron disciplining male reader because you were acting all bratty at one of his parties
warnings: smut, fingering, thigh riding, cursing, mentions of drugs, spanking, ass slapping, orgasm denial
authors note: im truly sorry if this story was horrible, i was tired and it was late so you can hate or skip this story if you want to. my apologies
Tumblr media
it wasn't your fault you were being so bratty, i mean rafe wasn't paying attentions to you, to busy partying and doing drugs to even notice you, so when rafe saw you acting all stingy he tried to get you to do some drugs with him to but when you shook his hand away from you making him drop the substance on the ground "what the fuck y/n what's your problem" rafe yells looking at you with agitated by you ruining the mood.
"nothing" you blankly say folding your arms across your chest "well it must be somethin' if your knockin' my stuff to the floor and acting all cold" he retorts angrily "whatever rafe how about you go back to getting high" you clap back before getting up and walking to rafes room, him watching you as you walked up the stairs "everybody out" rafe mutters catching the attention of topper "what, why" topper questions "just everyone get the fuck out" rafe yells to the whole party goers.
the music going quiet and everyone making their way to the door, muttering about how lame it was that it was cancelled making rafes jaw tense up knowing that you ruined the vibe of it all, and rafe couldn't go the rest of the night knowing you were mad at him, not because he really cared but because it would ruin his mind trying to figure out what had your panties in a bunch.
once everyone was out of the house rafe stomped to his room where you layed in his bed on your phone "what the fuck was that little stunt you pulled" rafe angrily asks and you give a little scoff to his question "don't making me fucking come over there y/n or so god help me" rafe warns one more time but you still don't answer him, still to mad at him for not paying attention to you the whole night "m'kay don't say i didn't warn you" rafe pinches the bridge of his nose before he drags you toward him and sits you on his lap, your legs straddled across his legs quickly and forcefully.
rafe looks up at you with dark lidded eyes, him still having the buzz of the drugs in his system enough to not care about you questions of what he was doing "since you wanna ruin my night with being bitchy i'm gonna ruin your night to" he whispers in your ear while groping at your ass "now strip f'me" he orders and you reluctantly slowly peel off all your clothes in front of him like a good boy but rafe doesn't follow suit, he stays in his clothes he was wearing since the party began, making you even more embarrassed that you were the only vulnerable one here.
and it only worsened when you saw rafe pull his phone out and prop it up next to him with a full view of you now back on his lap "now ride my leg" rafe demands and when you hesitate rafe lands a hard smack to your ass, jolting you forward to grind your already leaky cock against his roughly padded khaki pants like the slut you were deep down and rafe let you know that with his demeaning words he whispered as you needily grinded on him "that's right good fuckin' slut" rafe laughs at you, some tears dropping from your eyes.
"oh no no no don't cry you brought this onto yourself" rafe coos with a sweet voice but ruder words while cupping your face and you were so close to cumming that you were letting out whimpers and whines "can i cum rafe... please i'll be so good for you" you beg dropping your head on his shoulder "you cum on these pants and ill fuck you till you cant breath" rafe threatens coldy sending shivers down your back "and plus i still have to teach you a long hard lesson" rafe adds.
he sinks his fingers into your mouth while slapping and grabbing your ass with the other, adding to the painful amount of pleasure you were getting even more, your movements becoming jitters across his leg to hold back from cumming, you looked like a desperate puppy at this point, begging for it's owner to love them while slobbering all over rafes fingers, he was getting harder by the second but this wasn't about him it was about teaching you a lesson, a very painful lesson.
he pulled his fingers from your mouth and brought them to your hole, slowly sinking them in as you moan his name out "mm mm keep grinding" he says now thrusting his fingers in and out of you ruthlessly while his other hand slaps your ass over and over, overstimulating you to the point of you just letting out whines and whimpers for him to let you cum but he doesn't budge, just continues fucking you with his fingers.
once he finally got his fill of your sweet needy noises he gave you the okay to let you cum, you looking up at him with tear soaked eyes with your hands gripping his shirt tightly "really" you ask brokenly "yeah go ahead" he coos and you spray your load all over his shirt, angering him a little bit but you've tuckered yourself out to much by now so he lets it pass and you fall onto the bed shivering and shaking.

You push your way into the locker room slowly. It’s filled with steam, curling its way from the showers, around the lockets, pooling at your feet. Almost like it was reaching you, pulling you towards him. You hear the steady stream of water against tile, broken only by the body under it. He wasn’t facing you. His back taught and head down, letting the scolding water stain his hair darker.
“Eris?”
Your voice was wavering and unsure. Your feet moving from side to side, fingers fiddling with the sleeve of your jacket. He straightened, his head raising, his entire body stiffening. Hackles up. The water turned off. He reached for the towel hanging on the wall next to him and wrapped it around his waist before turning around, towards you, but not looking at you. He traipsed across the room to his bag and started rifling through it for his clothes. His only acknowledgement of you, a small sniff as you sighed.
“Please talk to me”
It was the closest thing to begging he’d ever heard from you. Those four words drenched in desperation that was so out of character that his eyes snapped to yours. He shook his head,
“I don’t have anything to say.”
You take a deep shuddering breath. Trying to think what he wants from you. Scraping every corner of your mind for the right thing to say. You come up empty. You study his face, the cut on his lip, his forehead. The bleeding had stopped for the most part, but a garish bruise was starting to form on his cheekbone. You take a tentative step towards him. He doesn’t move an inch, almost as if he’s frozen. A deer in headlights. His eyes don’t leave yours as you draw closer and raise a hand to brush your fingers over the welt now blossoming under his skin. His eyes flutter closed and it takes all of his effort to lean away from your touch instead of into it.
“Don’t” A small warning. Enough to force you a couple steps back. “I don't think I can do this. I meant it.”
You shake your head vehemently, “Please don’t say that. Please. You want to talk? Let’s talk. You can’t just decide you’re done. There’s two of us in this Eris.”
“You want to talk? Talk then.”
He stares at you. His face completely unreadable. Cold in a way that it never had been before. His eyes always sold him away, always carried all of his feelings, like a window straight to his heart. But now, looking at them, you couldn’t see a thing. The only other person who ever managed that kind of mask….was Azriel.
“I didn’t mean to blame you.” It was a lame response. You knew that. But you continued anyway. “You were hurt, and you'd gotten into a fight with Az, and I was worried, and lashed out.”
He didn’t say anything. Small droplets of water rolled down his chest. His hair was tousled and damp. The heat of his body contrasting so harshly with the cool air, that small wisps of steam curled from him. It would have been a beautiful sight, if the look on his face didn’t scare you quite as much as it did.
“Who were you really worried about?” His voice was low and calm. Horrifyingly calm.
“Both of you.”
It was an honest answer. Just not the one he wanted to hear.
“I’m tired. I’m tired of being a second choice. I’m not something you can keep in your backpocket. I l-”
He shook his head. As if the last couple words got stuck in his throat. He couldn’t say them. Not like this. Not when he was looking at you, draped in a jersey that wasn’t his, your eyes so desperate and pleading. I love you too much. That’s what he wanted to say. What he couldn’t say. Not when all he could think about was Azriel, and all those unspoken feelings.
“You’re not.”
That’s all you could say. Choking down the tears that you wanted to cry. You couldn’t cry. Not like this. You wouldn’t let him see that. It was too pathetic. Too desperate.
He stared at you. Blankly. Mind reeling. You were on the brink of tears. He could see it plain as day. Just cry. Show some emotion. Any emotion. He wanted to yell it at you. Beg you. At least the tears would prove that this was more than nothing. But you didn’t. You just stood. Like looking at him was the most painful thing you could possibly be doing.
He thought of Azriel. He had heard the two of you yelling before he had retreated to the showers, hoping that the water would drown out the sound of it. He didn’t want to hear what was being said. Didn’t need to hear more of Azriel’s opinions on him.
He thought of the way that Azriel had years of history with you. The way he’d seen you cry, something you’d refuse to do in front of him. The way Eris had watched your eyes drift off into some far away thought and had your eyes snap back into focus, on him. Azriel had your embrace in moments of panic, a comfort and a quiet that you floated towards. A solace and hiding place you looked for. You never seemed to grow tired of him the way you grew tired of others. Azriel would have you for lifetimes and Eris didn’t want to be a footnote in that story.
“I just need time to think.” That was all he could think to say before finally pulling a shirt over his head. And turning away from you.
“I’m scared of what that means.”
He shook his head. He couldn’t look back at you. One right word from you and he’d cave. He’d give you anything you wanted no matter what it did to him. Your voice hit him again, like a bullet,
“I’m scared it’s going to take you years to think, and figure it out, and I’m scared of what it’ll do to me.”
He pulled his pants on and sat down to lace his shoes. Still refusing to look at you as he said the first thing that came to mind,
“Well you always have Az to wash away whatever guilt you're feeling. I said it before. I’m done, so why don’t you go cry to him?”
Out of the corner of his eye he saw your jaw set. The small nod of your head. It was the wrong thing to say. But he was begging you to prove him right. Begging you to do something to prove to him that he wasn’t what you wanted.
You felt weak. Like your knees were about to buckle. Like every horrible thing you ever thought about yourself was right. It didn’t matter how much you cared about him, you never were able to find a way to make that clear. Could never just say it. Could never really figure it out. But he was right and that was the worst part. You fled from the locker room as quickly as you could while still holding onto a shred of dignity. The tears you had choked down rising like a violent tide. Tearing through your every nerve. Your whole body felt like it was burning, like the loss of him might actually consume you. Alone again. You couldn’t stand it.
★ ★ ★
You shouldn’t have done it. But you weren’t thinking, completely on autopilot as you drove, as you walked up the steps, as your arm raised and knocked on the door. Your eyes still glistening, your cheeks red, and your body shaking lightly as the door opened slowly.
Azriel.
His eyes flashed with confusion, his hand going to run through his hair before leaning against the door frame as he took you in. Your jacket is gone. His jersey hanging off you. You looked wrecked. Terrified. So clearly the conversation with Eris didn’t work out and here you were. Like you always were when you lost something.
“Is Cass home?”
Your voice was shredded. Hoarse and devastated. The mask of cool collection you usually aimed for completely lost now. He shook his head slowly as he pulled the door slightly more ajar.
“You want to talk?”
You sniffled and curled your arms around yourself, “No. I don’t want to talk. I don’t want to think.”
“So…What do you want?”
He knew exactly what you wanted. He just needed to hear it straight from your bitten red and raw lips.
“I don’t want to be alone.”
A whisper. A small admission. Almost a question.
He held out an arm and you pulled yourself into his embrace too easily. Your arms immediately circling around his neck. He leaned down to pull your legs around his waist and carried you across the threshold. Closing the door behind him. His fingers bruising against your thighs. Like he wanted his fingerprints embedded in your skin forever. His lips never leaving yours as he walked towards his room. As he lowered you to his bed. Only pulling away to peel your clothes off slowly. To press open mouthed kisses against your neck as he let his hands roam. His pace slow and deliberate, as if every small claim of his lips was a victory.
It was. A small victory. He’d have you for lifetimes, maybe only like this, when he was needed to fill some emptiness inside you. But still. Others would have you for minutes at a time that in their lifespan would boil down to nothing. But he’d have you forever. A small form of revenge.
He traced every path he thought Eris might have once marked as his own. Neither of you saying a word. Both of you ignoring the tears streaming down your face. Azriel only pausing once to wipe them away with a brief brush of his thumbs and soft shushing from his lips, before he sank his teeth into the crook of your neck. The force behind it bruising and almost angry. Like he wanted it to hurt. Like he wanted you to remember that feeling in the morning. Like he wanted you to remember that other men would have your adhd driven drifts of attention, your accolades and commendation. Your fantasies and broken form of love tainted remedies to draw out seconds on a timesheet. Your short term hyperfocus. Your false forms of naive intimacies. Your fleeting fingers through their hair when they bend their heads to you. Your anger when they don’t live up to the image you’ve built in your head.
You closed your eyes. Letting him take the lead. You didn’t want to think. Didn’t want to do anything, but feel him. Because that was the easiest thing you could possibly do. The easiest way to not be alone.
Azriel reveled in it. Your attention when convenient. Your gaze when you thought he was too lost in his movements against you. The way he could still feel your anger from earlier bubbling under the surface, and the way that it didn’t matter now. The way that you had still come to him. The way that he was always right. The way that the little jersey stunt had worked exactly in his favor. The way he always managed to do exactly what you wanted. The way your nails raked across his shoulder blades and you let out a choked sob.
He’d let you right to it. Something to be angry about again. The one thing you wanted. The one thing you never wanted Eris to see. The one real thing you were. Angry and afraid. Afraid of everything you had ever felt.
A small form of revenge.
He held you close to his chest after. He knew you’d leave. Just like you had done before. Just like you did every time something too intimate, no matter what the scale, happened between the two of you. You didn’t move. You didn’t speak. You’d stopped crying, but by the way you were breathing he knew you still wanted to. So he held you tighter.
★ ★ ★
You left while he was still asleep. Seven in the morning. Guilt rippling through your entire body. Eris expected the worst from you, so you did the worst thing you could think of, and it felt good. That was the worst part. You closed Azriel’s door as quietly as you could and turned around, immediately met with Cassian’s hulking form leaning against the wall of the hallways. His arms crossed and his eyebrow raised. Your eyes widened. Since when has he ever woken up this early?
“Again?”
You didn’t respond. Heading for the door shaking your head. He stepped in front of you, blocking your exit.
“Why?”
His voice was a whisper, but the question hit like he was shouting.
“I didn’t know what else to do.” You couldn’t bring yourself to look at him as you said it.
“You look like you just had a death in the family or something. That’s not how you should look after hooking up with someone. This is…this fucking sadness that you get from Eris….Even Az can’t fix that.”
You look at him now. He was wrong. Of course he wanted to blame Eris. Why wouldn’t he?
“It’s not Eris that made me….”
You trailed off and Cassian inhaled deeply. Finally getting it. Whatever you and Azriel had going on…hurt you just as much as it hurt him. A mutual form of self destruction.
“So why did you do it?”
Azriel’s door opened now. You didn’t hear it. Didn’t notice that Azriel had finally woken up and was watching intently as you responded,
“Because Azriel….” You push Cassian out of the way and reach for the door, “Eris makes me weak.”
You close the door behind you and Cassian flinches at the sound of it clicking shut. His eyes looking towards his friend now. Azriel looked like he’d seen a ghost. Eris makes me weak. The only way you could think to say that you were in love with him. The only way you could find to express that the feeling scared you so deeply that you went back to something you, and everyone else, had so adamantly ignored for years. It was almost like falling in love with Azriel and wasting it had turned you into something cold. Something accidentally cruel.
Cassian sighed and shook his head. The disappointment coming off him in waves. Azriel unsure which one of them that disappointment was really directed at. Cassian watched him, he looked small, and unlike himself. He thought of the years Az had spent chasing whatever had happened between the two of you that one night. Like he was so desperate to prove that he was capable of love. Like having you in any small form would make him better at it, like doing whatever he could to keep you away from other people, and bring you back to him. Would prove that he could love someone. Like letting you in last night and fucking you while you cried was a testament to how much he was willing to ignore. Maybe that was what he thought love was. Ignoring all the bad and taking you anyways, under any condition, nevermind who your heart really called for.
“You’re just a glutton for punishment aren’t you Az?”
That was all Cassian said as he turned back to his room and shut the door sharply behind him. Leaving Azriel to stand alone in the morning shadow soaked hall.
★ ★ ★
Eris’ apartment felt empty. Without your laughter. Without you sitting at his kitchen counter biting your nails and complaining about whatever class was pissing you off at the moment.
He sat alone in his living room. Your sweater still draped over the back of the chair he crashed into. His eyes falling on the plants you had lined up against his windowsill while muttering something about lifeless male living spaces. The notes you had written him stuck to his fridge. The books you had left scattered across his coffee table. The pair of shoes you placed next to his by the door, shrugging, and saying it’s good to have a spare. Almost every inch of his apartment screamed your name, and begged for your return.
He remembered the ice in your stare as he told you to run back to Azriel. The kind of cold he could never warm. The set determination of your walk as you strode away from him. He knew exactly where you were right now. He knew that you had done exactly what you told him to, and he couldn’t even find it in himself to blame you. He should have just talked to you. Should have made it clear to you that he wanted everything. That he was all in. That he didn’t care about the fact that you were scared, he could see it clear as day. He’d seen it since you started seeing each other. The way that you were so terrified that the second you admitted how much he meant to you, he’d leave.
It wasn’t like you made your affections a secret. You had decorated his apartment. You had spent all of your free time with him. You had held him so tight at night that sometimes he wondered if you thought that if you let go he’d slip away, or fade away. You had given him annotated book’s, highlighting lines you thought he might like. Had sent him playlists and pictures of things throughout the day that reminded you of him. Had wrapped your arms around him lazily and pulled him away from his computer whispering you have to stop being such a workaholic. The closest you let yourself get to exhibiting how much you worried about him. You had made it as clear as you could.
But he could’t wipe the image of Azriel’s smirk as you had yelled at him what the fuck is wrong with you? Like your outburst was some sort of victory. Like shadowsinger had won. Like getting Eris to fight him was exactly what he had hoped for.
He remembered the way that Azriel went slack under him as they fought, the way he had let Eris throw punch after punch and seemed almost elated as blood spilled from his mouth. Like the blood would stain your hands and force you into remembering what and who really mattered. And maybe it had.
Eris sighed and stood from his chair. Sleep. He needed sleep. But when he laid eyes on his bed, the sheets rumpled and blankets a mess. He thought of you that morning. Refusing to wake up, quietly calling for him to come back to bed, telling him to stop answering emails and come kiss you awake. The way he’d obliged and reveled in your warmth, and your smell, and the soft graze your fingers across his skin. He should have stopped you from leaving.
I’m scared it’s going to take you years to think, and figure it out, and I’m scared of what it’ll do to me.
He should have told you. I love you too much. But he didn’t and now he’d have to suffer the consequences. Maybe that was what he deserved. Maybe he thought, this is what happens when he let himself fall in love with someone. When he let his walls down. When he let someone into his space.

Going out to a party shouldn’t be a bad idea, right?
Maybe the first mistake was agreeing to an invite from your friends to a random party in the club, believing their claims that you should put yourself out there more after your break up. As much as you hate to admit it, they weren’t exactly wrong, especially when you stay cooped up in your room all day.
It has been months since the break up and you haven’t seen him since then. All because he was immature and didn’t want to grow up, which prompted the imminent break up. Well, there you were now, by your friends in a club you were unfamiliar with, dressed in something low-cut that they had picked out, and it surely worked out as you were gaining attention from people around.
A few drinks in later, you were starting to loosen up, feeling the need to dance and fuck around more. So, that was exactly what you did.
Stumbling through the crowd and getting on the dancefloor was already tiring, but somehow that wasn’t stopping you from anything. The dim lights and loud music completely made you unaware that someone was approaching from behind, until you felt a presence close to your back and you spun around.
Wow.
Despite the fact that it was hard to make out his face entirely, something about him and his aura screamed hotness. You could still tell how he looked vaguely. Prominent cheekbones, hair styled up, alluring eyes and the key point of it all, his lips.
From the looks of it, he doesn't seem to be your age either. He was most definitely older. Adding to the spice of it all, he seemed expensive. Hell, the cologne he wore alone smelled like something out of your budget.
Dressed in a simple button up, the chains and rings decked out on him simply added to his attractiveness. Gosh, he was the opposite of your ex. Now that you know, guys your age only disappoint you, so what's stopping you from having fun this one time?
Okay, so you weren’t about to get yourself a restraining order either. He was just too irresistible.  Although you were screaming at yourself internally, you held yourself back, instead, you let him come to you. And boy, he definitely did.
Almost too naturally and smoothly, he moved closer to you, snaking an arm around your waist while you threw your arms around his neck. You didn’t say anything and he only took it as a sign to continue.
“Hey,” he said by your ear, miraculously loud enough for you to hear. “I’m Jake,”
Usually, you might've thought it was lame, but maybe it was your semi-drunken state or simply his pretty face that gave you a green pass.
"Hi," you answered back rather meekly. "I'm Y/N,"
"Y/N," he echoed, eyes glinting in the dark. "Want to get out of here?"
Crazily and insanely you were for following him to his car, letting him drive you to an abandoned spot and sneak to the backseat. It was probably the Aussie accent and blond hair that got you.
It didn't take long before you let him kiss you, feeling the flames bursting in your abdomen. The way he kissed was deep and feverish; dirty but gentle enough. Slowly, you felt his hand trace up your thighs and it made the hairs on your skin stand.
You had to admit, you've never felt this way with your ex before. From the kiss to the touches, it was different.
Guys your age don't know how to touch you.
The night eventually ended late but still, he went out of his way to drop you home, watching you get in safely before driving off. In a daze, you thought that was it, your potential lover was gone, but then you felt an uncomfortable prickly feeling in your chest area.
Reaching into your bra, you pulled out a piece of paper. One that had been slipped in discreetly moments ago when you were completely unaware.
Text/call me ;)
xx-xxxxxxx
— Jake Sim
That was exactly what you did the next day. Even if it took you half a day and lots of pacing across your room, you managed to work up the guts to text him. Biting your nails in anxiety until his reply appeared.
Luckily, he was a nice guy who was equally humourous over text.
It wasn't long before you started calling each other. From one phone call turned into frequent calls that eventually included facetimes.
Soon, this thing going on between you two progressed rather quickly but steadily. Him asking you out on a date was inevitable and you gladly let him take you out on one.
It might've been a simple dinner that allowed you and him to get to know one another more, but throughout the whole night, he was nothing but a gentleman. First, it was him opening the car door for you that shocked you. No one has done this for you, your ex doesn't even have his own car to begin with. Then, it was him letting you hold his arm when going up staircases since you were in heels. Lastly, he even paid for dinner when you were against it, yet he didn't want to listen to your arguments.
This treatment was a little foreign to you, because simply, guys your age don't know how to treat you.
Days turned into months and you two naturally got closer, too close. Jake eventually asked you to be his girlfriend, to which you accepted and he even brought you out to celebrate, making sure to attack you with kisses while he was at it.
Despite being busy with work, he always made time for you. Tight schedules? He'd loosen some time up in between for you. Overtime in the office and not getting dinner together? He'd call you just to eat together over the screen. If there was one thing about Jake, it would be him getting clingy and missing you loads.
Him always going out of his way for you made you surprised even though you had been together for almost a year. It was his consideration and effort that got you soft for him.
He wasn't like your ex. Not at all. He was completely unlike the people from your past. In a good way of course.
It was a shame. Guys your age don't know how to keep you or love you good.
Tumblr media
The time has come where you wanted Jake to meet your parents, especially since you've already met his.
It was unfortunate that his schedule kept clashing and your mother has been on your wits end trying to get a glimpse of the guy you've been telling her about. But it was what it was and you could only tell her to be patient.
You were at home that day instead of staying over at his place, however, you were still texting Jake as per usual.
jakey: i'm omw to meet up w a business partner! i'm not sure when i'll be a back but don't stay up too late waiting, okay?
you: alrightt :( i'm over at my parents now. remember to eat and don't skip meals!!!!
jakey: yes yes ma'am. i'll let you know once the meeting is over, kay?
you: sure, drive safe!
You couldn't help but miss him at times, allowing him to fill your thoughts as you helped your mother set the table, not noticing an extra set of utensils placed.
The usual business around the house around dinner hasn't changed over time. Even when the doorbell had rang, you didn't notice it at first, until it came the second, catching you off guard. You placed down the things in your hands, shuffling awkwardly to the door after calling out for your parents before opening it.
"Jake?"
"Baby?"
What was Jake doing at the doorstep of your home? You promised to bring him over but wasn't he … busy?
"What do you mean 'baby'?" There came your father's voice, confusion laced in his tone.
"Mr L/N," Jake greeted stiffly, then the realisation dawned in his eyes. The last names, the similar features. Oh God.
"What are you doing here?" You ignored your surroundings, hissing in panic to Jake.
"F–for my business meeting,"
"Is he the guy you're dating?" Your father seemed to have also pieced it together, shock and bewilderment on his face as your mother joined his side.
"You're dating an older guy?"
There's going to be a whole explanation needed over dinner before any business is discussed.
Maybe Jake might've been an older guy but he was way more than that. He knew how to treat you, touch you, love you. Unlike guys your age.
Now you know, you're never going back.

You might have answered this question before but what does your Michael look like? :0
Does he have the same white skin Lucifer does and same hair color? Or is his hair more golden or darker? How similar is he to Lucifer or his siblings?
How tall is he and what does he wear?
AAAA I’m so sorry but I really wanna know!!! :’)
Aah, my lack of character description really is showing huh? (Θ︹Θ)ს
I've based my Michael off of those classic/romantic depictions of angels in art. He does have the same white skin as Lucifer, and he also has blonde hair, though it's more like a pale gold. His hair is wavy and a little long stopping just above his shoulders.
Unlike Lucifer, he doesn't have those red cheeks. Instead, he's got little gold stars under his eyes, almost like freckles! And then for eye colour, he's got like a cool, dark blue eyes that can seem rather intimidating in a way that a very deep ocean is kinda scary.
Michael is taller than Lucifer, though still shorter than Adam. I'm not sure how tall yet, but he's like not too short when compared to Adam.
I also want to add that his wings are blue-white. Like, they start as dark blue at the base and then fades to white at tips. So the middle parts of his wings are different shades of blue. Somewhat reminiscent of a morning sky!
And for clothes... At the beginning of time, he wore simple robes, like most angels did. His robes were white, and dark blue at the hems with some gold. During more modern times, he often wears suits, usually the 3 piece type, and he prefers checked navy-coloured ones. He does have a set of armour for when it's needed (he hopes never). I don't know how to explain it, but think of blue robes, silver plates with gold lining.
As for how similar he is to Lucifer. At first glance, they seem like the total opposite. Lucifer is playful and likes to pull pranks on others and push his limits, while Michael seem to be Lucifer's leash; ready to pull him back so that he doesn't get into too much trouble. Now this might seem weird, but like imagine walking your dog. They're messy, they're often distracted by their surroundings and they like to play around. It can be tiring, but it's also fun for you, right? That's kinda like how I'd describe Michael and Lucifer's relationship. He is definitely the more responsible brother, but he'd be lying if he said he didn't enjoy some of Lucifer’s antics. He likes fun too, but keeps things tame, and simple. While Lucifer is a big dreamer, Michael often finds joy in simple things that others might find lame or boring. Like in my time travel AU, despite being absolutely shit at it, Michael does enjoy learning how to cook. He doesn't need to cook since he doesn't really need to eat, but it's a fun new thing for him, so he does anyway. He often only looks at the bigger picture, and that's why when a simple almost irrelevant detail catches his attention, he latches onto it. It's like his little treat for himself. I can't really speak much on the others angels (or if I'd even make them siblings, I just haven't thought about it), but I can say one thing. Because Michael isn't really good at socialising (he just gives off a mean vibe), Heaven was often a little isolating for him. And the way he often prioritises his work doesn't help either. So when Lucifer got kicked out of Heaven, it only got worse. It's not like the other angels dislike him or ignore him, it's just that he could never seem to get close enough to them to call them friends. Like at most, they'll just have casual conversations, but nothing personal. His sterness puts off a lot of people, but really, he could be quite the softie! Well, as long as it's not something too terrible, he's pretty forgiving. I read somewhere that he's the weigher of souls during the last judgement, so that's kinda scary - like he determines your final fate. BUT! Before that, I also read that he also has a kind of angel of death role. At the time of someone's death, he would be there to give that person one last chance to repent and redeem themselves so that they wouldn't go to hell. So like yeah, my Michael is stern, can be scary, but overall is fair and nice enough.
Another thing I wanna add. Overall, I like to colour theme my Michael around, whites, golds and shades of blue, from dark to baby blue. Quite like a clear blue sky on a sunny day. (Now fallen angel Michael on my swap au on the other hand...)
Also, don't be sorry for asking! I'm very happy that you're interested!!
[Omg, I didn't realise I rambled that much...]

everything that i'll never be | kim mingyu . seventeen
Tumblr media
You'll never be his first and that bothers you, that she had his heart before you ever did.
genre: angst, relationship problems, insecure! reader. Mentions of self-harm.
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
She's so much better than you. In so many ways.
There's no way you can compete. You're not even competition to her. Come on, it's almost as if trying to compare a Ferrari to a stupidly tiny honda that would break down whenever it had to breach the motorway.
This is how envious you are of the girl that once had your boyfriend's heart.
And you hate yourself for it, because every argument that arises is because of that sole reason; you can't stand the thought of her having him first. You can't stand the thought that Mingyu had the opportunity, all his firsts, with a girl that was someone other than you.
Which is why the words suddenly fly out of your mouth one day without warning.
"How was she like? Your ex?"
The words sound raw and painful, even coming from your mouth. You hate it. You hate yourself the most at this particular moment. Even more so when Mingyu stops in mid-action and blinks at you like you've just told him you'd committed a first-degree murder.
It's not that it's surprising. It's just that-- more so -- it's been six years. Six years already, and you still haven't gotten over it. So there is, ultimately, a problem. With you.
Mingyu lowers the knife he's been using to chop the carrots into tiny thin slices. He suggested bringing duck to your annual family dinner this Christmas, which you thought was a good idea, until you realized the amount of preparation that came along with it.
So here you are, on a beautiful 24th December night with the snow falling like soft petals along the sky line, making sure that the duck that you've put into the oven a few minutes ago isn't roasting itself to death.
"Why are you asking now?" is Mingyu's question.
You shrug half-heartedly in an attempt to show him that it isn't that much of a big deal whether he answers your question or not. Though it is, as you keep your eyes trailed on the timer on your phone, "I had a nightmare," you admit.
"About?" his eyebrow raises a fraction, body stilling to await your answer.
You struggle to find something coherent, put together, that doesn't sound so lame once you say it out loud because god forbid it is the most childish thing to think of when it's been six years of your relationship.
And yet, she's still the gap, that empty space, that lingers between the two of you like the unsaid corpse filling the room.
"About you," you pause, "and her."
Mingyu lets out a soft breath, "Y/N, we can't be having this conversation six years down the line. I love you, and I'm with you--"
"I know that." he doesn't have to talk to you like you're a child.
"Then why are you still on about her when clearly you're the one I've chosen to be with for the rest of my life?" the hurt in his voice is real and it makes your heart ache with guilt. You shouldn't have asked him anything in the first place. You know, more than anyone, that Mingyu would steal the moon for you had you asked for it. It's undoubtable, the love that he bears for you, the way his eyes find yours across the room like you're the sun that makes his earth rotate.
He continues now, pent-up frustration laced in his alto. Almost like he's about to cry, "it hurts me too, to hear you talk about her over and over again. It gets tiring after a while, Y/N. I'm tired of it, honestly."
"Alright," tears prick at your eyelids but you refuse to blink, gaze permanently latched onto the oven as you fight against the flood of emotion building in the pit of your stomach, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have told you anything, but--"
"it's not doing you any good either. So why do you do this to yourself? What triggered it?" he's on a roll now, not caring what you have scrambled for an answer, the need to hear your reason a priority in comparison to the millions of excuses you have stacked up against your tongue, "because this isn't about just the nightmare, is it? You've mentioned her at least once during these two weeks and I--I'm tired of it, Y/N. I don't want to keep going through that. She's a part of my past and yes, we were in love once. But I don't love her anymore. You're the one I chose to be with," he holds up the peeler and the carrot in evidence, "isn't that exactly what I'm doing right now? Why do you have to ruin this for us?"
"I--" his speech hits you like a truck. You hadn't expected Mingyu to just spit out his feelings without filter or remorse, which makes it even worse as you try to struggle and comprehend what his words mean exactly. The ache in your chest grows. For a moment, you can't breath, the soft pants stinging the back of your throat as it burns with effort of restraining tears.
You swallow thickly, harsh gulps of air that makes you shudder. Finally, you manage to whisper out a soft, "I'm sorry, Mingyu. I shouldn't-- I shouldn't have bought this up. You're right. I'm just--I'm just a walking time bomb and I'm pathetic--" you shake your head, the tears now spilling down your cheeks as you bite down onto your lower lip. You catch sight of Mingyu's stance faltering ever so slightly, but you move back, as if the physical distance might help you keep your broken heart in check, '--I'm really sorry, Mingyu."
You don't wait for him to answer before you're swiveling on your feet and dashing through the open doorway of your bathroom. It's not much, but it's enough physical space for you to lock the door and slide down onto the floor.
You let the sobs take over, your shoulders hunching over your knees as you start crying. Once you do, you can't stop. You can't.
Because the truth is, you're scared.
You're scared that you'll never be enough for Mingyu and that -- whatever happened in the ktichen -- is the exact proof of that. You're not her. She's --gentle and kind and just agrees to everything that Mingyu ays without putting up a fight. And they made a cute couple, and she's prettier. Prettier than you'll ever be and you wonder what Mingyu even saw in you in the first place.
And she's his first. Will always be his first. Something that you'll never be, no matter how hard you try.
You're so focused on feeling your body shatter with tears and pain and guilt from the past that you don't hear Mingyu's voice until he starts knocking against the door.
"Please," he murmurs, "can we just talk?"
"I'm fine," you blubber out, "please just leave me alone. I really don't want to talk about this right now."
"Y/N, I didn't mean to hurt you, what I meant was--"
"I know already, Mingyu. Just stop." you sniffle and wipe your snot with the back of your hand, "I got it. It's me. I'm the problem. I'll always be the problem."
"That's not what I said, don't put words in my mouth--"
"Just leave me alone." And as if that might help, you whisper, "please." So he does. you hear his footsteps retract after a few beats of agonizing silence, and when he does walk away, you slump back into a small puddle of broken pieces of your heart as you try to hold it all together.
But it's not a memory that you can erase with just a few beers or some good sleep. It's a stain that will last forever, and you're not quite sure how you'll deal with that.
˚ʚ♡ɞ˚
"Hey Y/N?"
Your head rises from the slump of your arms. You're not quite sure how long you've been in the bathroom.
Mingyu knocks. You let out a sigh, but don't say anything. Nothing feels right at the moment, no words can seem to fill the empty, now awkward space between you and Mingyu.
"Y/N, I can leave you alone if you want," he pauses, "but...do you mind if I use the bathroom? I kinda...need to pee."
Fuck. Of course. Just when you're about to lose your mind and go on an existential crisis.
You unlock the bathroom after a beat of silence, not even bothering to look up at his face as you sidestep your boyfriend and make your way to the couch. You plop down onto it, hearing the sound of the door shut close as you find your usual navy blanket. It's warm and comforting, wrapping you up in its warmth as the toilet flushes, Mingyu's coughs reaching the living room area. The scent of roasted duck fills the room and you sniff appreciatively. Despite it all, it seems that the food has survived, a proof that no matter how much humans may suffer, they could still go about and do their things right.
"Y/N."
You jump slightly, turning your head in his direction but allowing your eyes to stray along his shirt. The silence answers in your stead.
"How are you feeling?"
You shrug once more. How are you even supposed to feel?
It's a weird contortion of things that make you want to hurl the living room chair at the tv and one that makes you want to curl up in bed and cry and cry and cry.
The couch dips under Mingyu's weight once he joins you on the couch. Still, you don't look at him, rather deciding that picking on your nails is a better option.
"Y/N," he says once more, before his big hand is reaching for yours and stopping your actions with a gentle grip, "don't do that. You're going to hurt yourself."
"That's the whole point," you mutter to yourself, though it's not quiet enough that he doesn't pick on it.
He squeezes your hand in response, "we talked about this before, didn't we? The nervous hand-picking."
"Can you just--" your voice raises, as if in a holler, only to die mid-way up your throat. You slump against the couch. You're tired and overwhelmed, and it shows.
The silence seems to stretch out before you, with only the slow hum of the fridge keeping you company as you keep on staring at the blank tv screen. How have you come to this? How are you fighting about someone that isn't even in the picture anymore?
Ah yes, because you decided to re-open that door and let yourself wonder, picture, your boyfriend with the likes of her when you know it's only going to induce more pain.
“I’m not going to tell you what to do, or how to feel,” Mingyu starts, his voice shattering the silence like glass. “But just so that you know, every time you talk about this — about her — it hurts me too, because she’s not my present and I’m not in love with her, not anymore. You talking about it makes me uncomfortable,” he peers over at your face, “do you understand that, Y/N?” He says it gently, all his words without bite.
“Then maybe if you had just talked it through with me without avoiding my questions all the time, maybe we wouldn’t be here,” you shoot back, “maybe you like to take the easy way out a little too much.”
“I did give you the chance to talk about it. Remember that night when I told you to ask me anything about her that you wanted to know about?”
Another onset of tears builds at the back of your throat. Why is he doing this to you? What have you ever done to deserve this?
You turn away from him almost instinctively. This time, Mingyu lets you do your thing, not even bothering to try and call your name and honestly, you don’t mind. You need some space to cry it out and be with yourself for a little while.
There’s so much you want to tell him: why did he even break up with her in the first place? Why did he choose you instead? Would things have been different if you hadn’t told him of your feelings?
Would you have been happier right now, if you’d never been together?
ʚ♡ɞ˚
It’s been a few days and you feel like a corpse.
Your life is a walking nightmare, your mind plagued by nothing but the pain of realizing you’re a second option to your boyfriend. You wish that he could walk in your shoes, only to get a glimpse of what’s going on inside your head. In any case, life feels dull and void of colour in contrast to the lights blazing across the streets to celebrate the new year’s coming up.
Mingyu doesn’t offer to talk it through and you take it as his way of telling you he’s not interested in your bullshit. So wrapping yourself up in your thickest blanket, you barely leave the flat on the days to come, if only for groceries. After all, you don’t see the point when your world is crumbling.
It’s on a Wednesday afternoon that Mingyu sends you a text while he’s at work. You receive it in mid-workout, frowning slightly as the message pops up on the screen.
Mingyu: do you have time this afternoon? Can we talk?
You type back your reply with a mere “yes” before resuming your squats with even more conviction. You decide that you have to brace yourself for anything that might happen, considering that you really did fuck up this time.
Will your heart be able to take it if he tells you to break it off?
All thoughts and memories of what would be your wedding, the concepts you’d conjured, the white dress that you’d fantasized over. All those things seem awash with the pain of knowing that maybe this won’t become a reality.
That hurts.
The afternoon crawls by at a snail’s pace and you spend it lumbering back and forth across the hallway as your brain tricks you into concocting all possible scenarios that might unfold; you and Mingyu breaking up is at the forefront of your mind, no matter how much you try to steer yourself away from it.
The door creaks open to signal Mingyu’s arrival. You freeze, fingers finding purchase onto your shirt as you grip its corners, panic suddenly overwhelming your senses.
He’s here, and he hasn’t greeted you yet.
You’re not sure how your heart will take it.
“Y/N?”
The scuff of his boots squeak against the silence of the corridor as he pulls them off. Small a small gesture, which holds so much meaning once you realize you might never hear it again.
You force out a reply, “yes?”
A few moments later, your boyfriend appears looking disheveled and, to your surprise, holding a bouquet of roses.
“Sorry if they’re a bit wimpy,” he says sheepishly while handing the flowers over, and you hope he hasn’t taken note of how your hands are trembling, “I was late to pick them up from the florist’s.”
Tears burned at the corners of your eyes. You looked up at him, eyelashes glimmering as your vision slowly blurred, “why?” You murmured.
“Because,” he shrugs then, a small gentle smile making its way to his face, “I know you’ve been going through a rough patch, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be taken care of.”
You couldn’t help it.
You burst into tears.
And Mingyu holds on to you as you sob and soband keep on sobbing. All the pain, the fear of losing him, the thought of never being enough… all of these mesh into you and cras through your body in waves that rocks your entire ecosystem. Mingyu is there through it all, murmuring soft encouraging words as he rocks you back and forth against his chest.
The crying stops at some point, leaving you numb and tired, a slumped figure that leans against your boyfriend while he’s gently pawing away at the caked tears along your cheeks.
“I’m sorry,” you murmur out, breaths shaking from emotion.
But Mingyu shakes his head, “it’s okay.”
“It’s not—okay, and I shouldn’t have acted this way,” you whisper out, “and I’m sorry if I keep pestering you about her but the truth is, I’m scared I might never be enough for you, Mingyu, because I’m not. You—You deserve everything.”
Mingyu stays silent, still brushing the tears away as you wait for his answer. He finally turns you to him, holds you close in his lap so that there’s no chance of escape even if you wanted to.
In his dark eyes tou see your reflection; a disheveled maniac looking like she’s been haunted for days.
Mingyu probably thinks so too.
“I understand,” he starts off softly, “how hard it is for you to imagine me with other people, it sucks. And it’s not great, especially when you know these people.”
Your chest aches, another pang of hurt ringing through your heart at the mention of her. You suck in a breath, but he continues:
“But I think otherwise. I think she made me realize that maybe, she’s not what I want, nor what I need,” something softens in his eyes then, hands squeezing your waist, “what I need is right here, and nowhere else, Y/N. So you can cry about not being the first, but trust me, I want to make you my last.”
Another sob racks its way up your throat. You blink furiously, hands finding purchase onto your sweater sleeves to bunch it up nervously, “do you—“ you stammer out the words, “do you mean that?”
Mingyu nods, the softest of smiles on his face, as your hands come up to wrap around his neck.
“You’re sure sure?” You peer up at him.
He chuckles, “I’m hundred percent sure.”
And proceeds to kiss your next words away as if to seal the deal, to show you that yes, you are the woman he’s been waiting for, the only one he’ll ever have to wait for.
Maybe that’s just a baby step in your world. You will have more days like this, more days of insecurity and fear and straight up panic. That’s not something that you fix overnight.
But for Mingyu, you’ll try anything to make your happy ending.

“I need a place to stay.”
“I need a place to stay.”
Those were the first words Michael had uttered in hours. He had been sitting near-comatose in the corner of Jon's office ever since they'd both stumbled free from the Distortion's Halls, unmoving and unresponsive until now. Jon started in surprise, completely unprepared to hear those words come from Michael's mouth, sounding so hollow and tired. He completely understood the feeling.
"Right," he sighed in agreement, before he paused awkwardly. "I, ah...may also be short on...accommodations. I was, I was in hiding before the Circus kidnapped me, and now...I don't know."
Michael laughed, short and sharp and nothing like how he had sounded before. "Great," he groaned, shoving his tangled hair back and rubbing at his forehead with both hands. "That's great." He had a headache, Jon knew- Knew, a headache he'd been suffering from ever since he'd stepped through the Distortion's door so many years ago. Jon could almost feel it in his own head, aching and heavy, and cracked his neck to try to alleviate it. He was...quite stiff, he realized, and quickly pushed that thought from his mind.
"There's a cot in Document Storage," he offered weakly, and Michael stopped massaging his head to squint up at him irritably.
"I won't fit on that," he snapped sullenly. "I...fuck." He winced suddenly, flinching quite violently. "I shouldn't know that," Michael muttered to himself. "I shouldn't know- I think the Distortion has been spying on you."
"That...makes sense," Jon conceded. Who knew what else had eyes in the Archives watching him. The flash of horribly familiar paranoia made his stomach turn and skin crawl, sparking a desperate urge to be out of the Institute before he did something drastic. "I'm booking us a hotel room," he decided firmly. "And I'm expensing it to the Institute."
"That'll show them," Michael encouraged half-heartedly. Jon busied himself with making the arrangements, while also thinking about what other arrangements he needed to make. Michael had nothing but the clothes on his back and the trauma that his twisted counterpart had inflicted on him. Was he still tied to the Institute, after what had happened? God, was he now another Assistant Jon now had to look out for? He'd already gone through hell and been betrayed by one Archivist, how could he stand to work with Jon, if that was even what he wanted? Had he just gone from one torturous hell prison to another?
Jon couldn't fathom what he could do about that.
A round of calls and an awkward ride share later, Jon realized he'd been a bit too hasty in booking a room. "What do you mean, there's only one bed?" he demanded. The tired and harried-looking desk manager just gave him a blank look.
"That's all that's available tonight, I'm sorry," she said, completely insincerely. "You can try somewhere else, but at this time of night they'll probably all be booked."
"It's fine, Jon," Michael spoke up, hunched over the counter and head hanging low, hair spilling messily around his face. "Just take the room." Jon was so put off that he almost didn't notice that Michael had called him by name for the first time, because he sounded so profoundly and plainly miserable. He swallowed down his reservations and confirmed their reservation for the room instead.
The room was, as expected, small, and did contain only one bed. Michael sat on it listlessly, eyes unfocused and drifting away. "I, uh, I'd like to use the shower first," Jon said lamely, and received only a nod of acknowledgement. Michael's behavior, or lack thereof, was concerning, but so were so many other things, like the Unknowing, and finding answers to his millions of questions, and the heavy layer of lotion all over him.
Jon fought to remain calm as he showered, he really did. He should be enjoying the feeling of warm water running over him, cleaning his skin, but the layered-on oils were difficult to wash off, even with the tiny bar of soap the hotel provided. Choking back the noises trying to claw out of his throat, Jon scrubbed harder, making his skin burn and chafe, his muscles protesting the harsh movements. But it was working, his skin was free of that awful heavy sensation, and it almost felt good, after so much cooling softness. God, he never wanted to feel the touch of lotion against his skin ever again.
"Michael?" he called as he left the bathroom, shivering in the cold air, shoulders exposed by the towel he had wrapped around his chest. "Shower's free, if you'd like-"
He stopped when he found that the room seemed alarmingly empty. Jon's knees nearly gave out in surprise, stumbling into the doorframe as his eyes flew around the room. He breath caught in relief when he caught sight of Michael, crammed in the small space between the wall and the single bed, limbs sticking out jarringly, face hidden in a pillow clutched in his arms.
"Michael?" Jon asked as gently as he could. "Are you...what's wrong?"
"Walls," Michael gasped, muffled by the pillows. "They're too- it was...I don't know where- I can't, I can't, it's too big, there's nowhere I can, I can't-"
He sounded so panicked, so desperate and terrified. Jon hesitated, then stepped forward and crouched next to him, careful of the drape of the towel around his body. Bracing himself and pushing down his own awkwardness, he reached out and took one of Michael's dangling hands in his own uninjured one. It didn't feel the way it had before, or the way that...that Sasha had described it in her statement. It was a perfectly ordinary hand, slightly cold and a bit thin, but utterly normal and human. Just like the rest of Michael.
Michael had tensed sharply when he took his hand, but quickly deflated, turning his head free of the pillow to look towards Jon with red-rimmed eyes. "Your hands-" he stopped to swallow thickly. "They're not...they didn't lotion those?"
"No," Jon confirmed, nearly choking on a very inappropriate chuckle. "No, they didn't, I don't think they were going to...use them." God, that was awful, it was absurd, but he couldn't stop the strained laughter that kept breaking loose from his chest, unstoppable and inappropriate. A single tear slipped down his cheek before he roughly swiped it away with his free hand. He shouldn't be laughing, he shouldn't be caught up in his own horror when Michael had gone through far worse than him, and for much longer. But he couldn't stop.
Michael was watching him with eyes that were unfathomably deep, like they could swallow him whole. Jon wondered, near hysterically, if one could get lost in the eyes of the former Distortion, or whatever Michael was now. But he was not a threat, he reminded himself as Michael unfurled from his tight crouch and crept closer to him. All of that rage and betrayal was nowhere to be seen, for now. He wondered where it had gone.
Keeping hold of his hand, Michael stretched his other arm out and slung it over Jon's shoulders, pulling him in until they were both crumpled together, like two fallen walls of a demolished building. He sighed, and it stirred in the drying strands of Jon's hair. "What are we going to do now, Archivist?" he asked, hollow and empty again. His abrupt turn of terrified energy seemed to have dissipated for now, gone along with Jon's own panic. Which was the intention of his pathetic attempt at comfort, just not quite like this.
"You can call me Jon," Jon answered, unable to stop himself from leaning into Michael's side. Michael was leaning just as heavily on him, his long tangled curls draping over his bare shoulder, and he didn't hate it. "Please don't call me Archivist anymore."
Michael sighed again, harsh and painful. "I'll try," he whispered. "Its still in my head, it still wants to-" he cut himself off, which Jon was grateful for. "No. No. You're Jon. You've done me no wrong. You heard my story. You...you know now."
"I do." Like Martin, like...like Sasha, he knew Michael now, Knew him, had his statement on tape and seared into his mind and heart. He didn't understand what that meant, not yet, not fully, but it meant...something. "I...I'm sorry. About everything."
"Yeah." Michael's hand flexed in his, then settled. "So am I, Archi- Jon. Jon. I'm sorry."
They were such small words, but meant so much. They could be lies, but after hearing his statement, after seeing him fall apart, Jon didn't believe they were. Michael was no longer the Distortion, he had no reason to lie. Jon had to learn to trust, somehow, and who better to start with than someone who had been so betrayed? Michael pressed his head down, resting his cheek on top of Jon's head, and Jon closed his eyes, leaning into Michael's warmth. What else was there to do?

She's Done With Him
l hughes!sister au l lola hughes l masterlist l
Jack had been making more of a conscious effort to be better to Lola. He still hadn't said sorry for the years of teasing, he wouldn't even know where to begin.
But he was willing to put everything on the line with their relationship when he got a phone call from Mason about this guy named Robbie who Lola was seeing. He couldn't help it, the older protective brother came out when he heard that the douche bag was cheating on her.
"Now you're positive it was Robbie who you saw?" Jack confirmed with the Ducks' player over the phone. It was late in New Jersey and he was tired after a hard fought game.
"Yes, Jack. Even ask Z he was there too."
That was enough for him. Trying to keep his anger in check, he took the number from Mason, promising he would take care of the problem. He wasn't going to do much, maybe just give the kid a little call, and talk.
"Hi Robbie, this is Jack." He paused for a second, waiting for the man on the other end to acknowledge him, but he could heat the hesitancy when Robbie didn't answer "Hughes, Lola's older brother?"
"Oh, you're the one who hates her right?" Jack could feel him smirking through the phone, irking him even more.
"I don't hate her, you know what I don't have to explain myself to you. I know what you've been doing. The girls and the drinking? Especially when she was injured in December."
"I don't know what you're talking about. I haven't done anything wrong. I really like her." Robbie stuttered, a lame attempt at covering his tracks.
"Hm, yeah okay. Tell me was she just one of your side pieces?" Jack asked not believing a thing he was being told by this so called boyfriend. "That's what I thought."
"I didn't, I'm not"
"Break up with her"
"What"
"I said break up with her, or else"
"Or else what? There's nothing you can do to scare me"
"Robbie, there are at least four hockey teams plus countless others who will not hesitate to end you when they hear what you're doing. So break up with her or I'll let them know what you did" Jack threatened.
"You're bluffing"
"Try me. These guys can get really scary. And I'd hate for anything to happen to you."
A few days later Robbie did what Jack told him to do, he broke up with Lola. He didn't tell her why he was or that her brother was practically forcing him to. If he wanted to twist the knife even further, he could have said something. But she was already heartbroken and secretly Robbie was still a little worried Jack was going to send a goon after him.
Lola cried for a couple of days, this wasn't like when she had broken up with Matty, that was more of a mutual decision since they were going in opposite directions and they were better as friends. This break up took her by surprise, she thought they were in a good place, but apparently they weren't.
It hurt and she honestly kind of wanted Buggy her old stuffy from when she was younger. She really considered calling Jack and seeing if he still had it, but she thought better, knowing he probably would have made some snide remark about it, even though lately they had been doing better.
Lola called for an emergency sibling night with Quinn, which helped a lot, but she still swiped the bottle of tequila hidden away and found her way into her previous roommates bed.
After a week of moping around, she picked herself, brushed off the dirt and got back to her life. She worked harder in practice and even spent more time with her friends. Things were really looking up until late in the evening on February 29th.
The Ducks' had gotten in late that evening after playing in San Jose. Lola needed to make a quick run into the store to get something for Ellen that she had forget all the way back in Michigan.
Lola was only going to be a few minutes, but she spotted the one person she never really wanted to see again. She tried to ignore him the best she could, it was Robbie who walked up to her and was the one to start talking. They made pleasant small talk, but she had a nagging question she wanted to ask.
"Can I ask you something real quick? Why did you break up with me?"
"Oh Jack didn't tell you?" Robbie raised his eyebrows in feign shock. "Jack forced me to break up. He threatened that if I didn't, I was gonna get beat up."
Of course Jack had a hand it. Lola should have expected that. Jack ruins everything.
The ride back home was a little quieter. She had some things to think about before she saw her brother later that day.
After the game the Hughes clan were planning on getting dinner at a nice restaurant before Luke and Jack jetted off to the next destination. Lola was going to give them a ride. As soon as she saw Luke she gave him a hug and glared at the other one before making her move.
"What the fuck?" Jack's face stung as Lola's palm hit him on the cheek.
"You told him to break up with me? I how could you? I was happy. Why couldn't you let me be happy for once? You always mess everything up!"
"Clem you can be mad at me all you want, I was just trying to protect you."
"Don't you dare call me that. You don't have that right anymore. because I hate you. I hate you Jack." She spat in his direction.
After what seemed like years of her older brother hating her for apparent reason Lola had had enough of it and was completely done with Jack. Wanting nothing more to do with her older brother, this is when she decided to cut him out of her life, even if it meant she was going to have to cut Quinn and Luke out too.
"You don't mean that. Clem -" Jack knew he had taken it too far this time, but all he had been trying to do was protect his sister. And sometimes that made him the bad guy.
Lola gave him a look that ultimately broke his heart because he knew she meant it. She truly hated him, but he would rather her hate him, than see her with a broken heart over a guy who couldn't keep it in his pants.
"Lola. I'm sorry. Please take it back." Jack pleaded. He looked back at Luke and Quinn for help, but he was on his own with this.
"No, Jack. I mean it this time."
"Lola." She slapped him again and was getting ready to do it again. She wasn't one to hit or attack anyone, but tonight she couldn't help herself with her anger.
"Jack. I think you need to leave." Trevor pushed Lola behind him towards Jamie and Mason, putting himself in between the two siblings. Similarly Luke tried to grab ahold of jack's arm and pull him away.
The drive from the Honda Center to their shared home wasn't long, but playing a big game and the emotions from her argument took its toll and Lola fell asleep on the ride home. Mason didn't want to wake her, he opted to carry her in instead placing her in her bed and throwing her favorite blankets on top.
"Stay." Lola reached out, grabbing onto Mason's wrist, effectively stopping him in his tracks. "I don't want to be alone. Please Mason?"
The older boy obliged, he sighed crawling into the bed next to her. Lola flipped around to face him, she reached out for his face and ran her thumb across his face as they fell asleep.

Sun Wukong x GN!Reader: Overworked
Tumblr media
Y/n was in class, listening to the lecture with a semi-bored expression. The professor was announcing a new group project and was going over all the ins and outs of the assignment, when Y/n was startled out of listening to the lecture from their phone buzzing like wild. It was clear that a certain someone was texting them at a rate so fast that Y/n's phone was vibrating at an almost constant rate.
They promptly excused themself from class and went into the bathroom to call their loving partner: Wukong.
"Hey, peaches! What are you doing right now?"
"I should be asking you that! I'm in class right now!" Y/n whisper-yelled into the phone.
"Then what are you doing on your phone?" Wukong asked teasingly. Y/n knew he was just pushing their buttons, but that didn't make it any less infuriating.
"I had to go to the bathroom just so I can answer my clingy boyfriend's messages. So, did you have something to actually say to me or are you just messing with me again?"
"Again?"
"Sun Wukong, I will hang up if you don't answer my question."
"UGH, fine! I was wondering if you wanted to come over to Flower Fruit Mountain after you get out of your boring class."
"It may be boring but it's also important. But to answer your question, I'm sorry but I can't. I just got a group project I have to start today."
Y/n didn't have the heart to hear his disappointed response, so they just hung up and turned text notifications off on their phone.
Once Y/n got home, it was already almost 10pm and they still had some homework to do before bed. The group assignment in one of their classes was already leaving a bad taste in their mouth because the group Y/n ended up in is filled with slackers and decision-dodgers. So, from the looks of things, Y/n was going to be the sole person doing any work in the group for that class assignment.
Eventually, the last paper was done for the night and Y/n crashed onto their bed. They were unable to sleep just yet because of the energy drinks and adrenaline of working so much, so Y/n just took their phone and checked to see if Wukong had texted them at all since their phone call prior in the day.
Nothing...
That did slightly concern Y/n. They glanced over at their calendar and knew that laying there speculating as to whether Wukong got busy himself or not would do nothing for them. So, Y/n instead decided to just fade to sleep.
The next few days practically were a blur to Y/n. Things were rather busy preparing for the group project being due the next week and tests and homework assignments thrown in for good measure to keep Y/n as busy as possible.
A couple times throughout the week, Wukong had reached out to Y/n to ask if they wanted to hang out. As much as they wanted to do just that, they told him that they just didn't have the time.
This unsettled Wukong a lot because he could tell they seemed tired in the few moments he got them on the phone. When Friday came along and they rebuffed him for what felt like the hundredth time, Wukong decided enough was enough.
Y/n was sitting at their computer desk, typing away at their group project that might as well have been called their project. But as they were finishing up the final report for it, they were snapped out of their thoughts by their phone ringing.
Y/n sighed as they checked both the time and the caller ID.
Sun Wukong, 1:58am
"Hello?"
"I knew it." Wukong said with disappointment clear in his voice.
"Knew what?"
"You're staying up late to finish your work, right?" He asked despite knowing the answer.
"No...?" Y/n kicked themself in the head mentally for that lame excuse of a reply.
Wukong sighed. "Alright, I'm coming over."
"Wait, what? But I-and you hung up..." Y/n said as they heard the call beep.
Sure enough, 20 minutes later, a knock at Y/n's window sounded throughout their apartment.
Y/n got up from their computer desk and let him in.
Wukong looked around, feeling unsettled by the mess of energy drinks and soda cans littering every surface, along with small snacks sitting at the computer desk.
Y/n began to walk past him to head back to said desk but Wukong knew where that would lead.
"No, no, no you don't." Wukong picked them up, ignoring their flailing.
"Wukong! Put me down! I'm almost done!!"
"Well, then if you're almost done, then you can finish your work tomorrow." He said, making a good point despite Y/n's efforts to think not.
"You've been working all week. I think your grades won't suffer that much if you take one night off." Wukong pointed out, placing them gently on their bed. When Y/n sat up, Wukong placed a hand on their shoulder, keeping them down. "Y/n. Get some sleep. It'll make you feel better than it would if you got a slightly better grade. I'll stay here with you if it helps."
Y/n knew they weren't getting out of this without sleeping. Plus, their eyes were starting to get heavy since the caffeine was wearing off. They let loose a small yawn. "Alright, Wukong. You win, now come over here and cuddle with me."
Wukong smiled sweetly. "Alright." He squeezed into bed with Y/n and the two of them cuddled till late into the next day.

Characters: Elvis X fem!reader
Warnings/triggers: Sickness
________________________
When you're dating Elvis, something out of the ordinary happens regularly, both good and bad. Which this time, after a long day of travelling to the next hotel during Elvis’ tour, you begin to have a runny nose and a cough. Your boyfriend being the kind to get worried about you easily, you attempted to be discreet with your coughing and carrying on but that didn’t last long until he noticed your hand on your forehead as if to check the temperature of a fever. “Are you sick darlin?” his voice laced with concern as he walked over to you after excusing himself from the conversation with the guys, knowing it wouldn’t be convincing you shook your head anyway. “No.. just a lil tired ‘s all” Elvis gave you a look “Ya lyin’ aren’t ya?” you sighed “Yes Elvis I’m lying, I’m sick” he replies with a nod, kneeling on one knee in front of you being sat in the passenger's car seat and taking your hands into his. “Fever?” he asks, you shook your head “No just a runny nose and a-” a scratchy cough interrupts making Elvis furrow his eyebrows. “Cough…” finishing your sentence. Elvis nods again “Let’s get ya inside” you appease by nodding and carefully standing up on your feet, Elvis reassuringly holding your hand.
Leading you inside the hotel room, Elvis directs you to sit on the bed while he gets you a glass of water. “Drink some water, it’ll help” you silently nod and take the glass. He lays a hand on your forehead while you drink and clicks his tongue. “Seems like you got a fever too honey” he states, you were feeling a bit hot during the drive. “Yeah..” is all you could say, leaning over to rest your head on his lower abdomen, you feel tired. Elvis smiles small, stroking your hair silently. “Do you want to take a bath?” you close your eyes while shaking your head. Elvis grins “Alright, let’s getcha in your pyjamas then”
After swiftly helping you into your nightgown, Elvis pats your knee “Get ya self comfortable, imma call room service” you shuffle up to the headboard of the bed and get yourself under the covers. Half an hour later, the chicken soup arrives. Elvis rests himself on the edge of the bed, beginning to scoop some soup, blowing it gently earning a scoff when he takes the first bite. “Looked tasty, had to try it” he chuckles ,you playfully roll your eyes.
Just as you take another bite, a knock comes to the door. Elvis quickly answers, discovering he had 2 hours to get ready before he leaves for tonight's concert. He closes the door after a brief chat and walks back to sit on the bed, the concerned expression Elvis had earlier returns on his face “ I’ve got 2 hours before I go, are you gonna be alright without me?” you hum quietly “I’ll be alright, you go get ready” Elvis smiles softly before he gets up to prepare himself.
Elvis quickly changes into his gold lame suit and stands in front of the full body mirror on the wall, making sure his collar is neatly folded and combing back his gelled up hair. Elvis turns around to face you “How do I look?” Scanning him from head to toe, you hum softly with a soft smile “Handsome” a sly grin creeps onto his face “Thank ya darlin’” a knock comes to the door again and a voice “Are ya done EP?” Elvis sighs “Yeah I'm done, be there in a bit!” Just before he leaves, Elvis leans down to give you a delicate kiss on the lips “wish me luck” you nod with a smile.
The group of cars finally leave and you're now alone at the hotel, you decide to sleep since there's nothing else to do. An hour into your sleep, you wake up to the sound of the phone ringing. Sleepily as you get out of bed and walk to the phone, yawning before you speak “Hello?” at the other end you could hear the faint sound of a crowd “Hi Honey, it's Elvis… are you feelin' alright?” wiping away sleep from your eye “Hi baby, yeah I'm alright.. I was just sleeping” after hearing what you said, Elvis feels bad for waking you up “Oh, M’sorry dear you go back to sleep” you giggle softly “Alright, see you after the concert okay?” Elvis hums, ending the call with a “goodbye, I love you” and you go back to bed.
Elvis waits around backstage, he bites his nails quietly. Yes he's nervous to go up on stage but also the thought of you all alone without him there to take care of you is itching at him. Of course you can look after yourself, it's not the end of the world but the secure feeling of actually seeing you sleeping peacefully in bed is what he wants at this very moment. He shouldn't call you but he can't stop thinking about his lingering thoughts.
what if you got to go to the bathroom and just suddenly fainted? What about if you vomited and you're too tired to clean up the mess? Oh it's eating him alive, he has to call you now.
The phone rings again and you sigh, getting out of bed to answer the call “Hello?” Your voice is evidently tired just by your unusually quiet voice. “Darlin'? Are you alright? I-I got worried” your eyes begin to droop “Yes Elvis I'm alright, I was sleeping sweetie…” you repeat your words again to hint at him that you just want to sleep with no disruptions “I figured you would be… sorry honey, I got worried about ya.. you go back to sleep, I'm sorry” a tired hum leaving your mouth “Don't be sorry baby, I love you…see you later” the call ends again.
Just when you begin to fall into deep sleep…the phone rings…again.
“Elvis, I'm alright honey, I'm alright” a relieved sigh comes from his end “Okay..good, I love you” you sigh “I love you..”
For the fourth time.
“Elvis, I know you're worried about me but please I just want to sleep Honey” you tiredly spit out. Elvis nods “A-alright alright m’sorry I wanted to make sure you're safe… I love you” you hum “I love you Elvis”
Again.
Before you could say a word, Elvis cuts in “I'm sorry baby, m’sorry I can't stop worrying about you, ya sure you're okay?” His voice is shy and apologetic. “Yes dear, I'm okay I was sleeping, I'm still in the hotel room. I haven't fainted or anything I'm okay” another sigh from Elvis' end “Okay…okay..o-ok that's good” one of the stage managers calls for Elvis “I-I gotta go now honey..” you smile softly “Okay, go have fun” you can feel his hesitation so you reassure him quietly “and don't worry Elvis, I'll be right here in the hotel room. I won't go anywhere” he nods quietly “A-alright…” your smile grows a little “I love you” “...I love you”

Pillow talk
Leon S Kennedy x Fem!Reader
Angst - Fluff - Smut - 5k
Tumblr media
It was a wonderful night, the breeze was cool as it entered through the window, the moonlight shone happily into the room, and most importantly; I was wrapped up in the arms of the man I loved.
This should’ve been the perfect end sequence in a romance movie after the two protagonists have sex, or “make love”, however in my case, it did little to quell the questions that were raging inside my mind.
“Leon…” I whisper softly, propping myself up on my forearms. “What is it?” His voice was deep and tired. Maybe this wasn’t the best time to ask, perhaps I should wait until he isn’t half asleep. He opens his eyes after a while, noticing my lack of a response, and pulls me closer to him with the arm around my waist. “What’s wrong sweetheart?” He sits up, waiting for anything. “I- nothing… it’s okay. I’m sorry for waking you, go back to sleep.” I kiss him on the forehead and let him lie back down properly, resuming his peaceful slumber.
Before I know it the clock says it’s 2:41 and I’m in the same position I was all those hours ago. The same thought has been repeated over and over again. It’s stupid. I know the answer, yet I can’t bring myself to accept it. I should, otherwise I’ll just be wasting time. I get up as carefully as I can, trying not to wake Leon up, which is easier said than done, and I carefully make my way to a small office room in the apartment.
At his old typewriter, I begin to write a letter, it goes as follows;
Dear Leon,
I apologize for not giving you a proper goodbye, but I couldn't bear to look you in the eyes knowing I'd have to leave. It may not matter to you why it is that I'm leaving, hell I don't doubt you won't notice my absence until much later on, yet I still feel as if I owe you an explanation even if it’s a shitty one.
We've been close since that night in Raccoon City, we stuck through thick and thin on various missions afterward and I've seen you grow and change from the young, sweet, and artless rookie that you were. Don't worry, I've had my own changes, and it wasn't until recently that I discovered just how much I changed from the person I was to the person I am today, I've also noted the change from the person I am today to the person I wanted to be back then. I'm leaving in pursuit of becoming that woman I always wanted to be, that woman that I am deep down. A hopeless romantic who wants nothing more than to start a family in a small town with a meaningless job. This rotten city, and whichever other city you get assigned to has no future for me, at least not one that is negotiable. I will always remember you and hold you dear to my heart, but I’m just not sure I can be here any longer without losing myself. I’ve already lost so many, I can’t lose myself. Please don’t be sad, I’m sure you’ll meet others far funnier than I, others who you’ll be able to bear your whole soul to. Please don't track me.
Maybe someday our paths will cross, till then;
Yours truly,
💋
Leaving my lipstick was my signature, the easiest way for him to recognize me. I neatly folded it, put it inside an empty envelope, and set it on his nightstand along with a cup of coffee, just how he liked it. I drove back home and quickly packed up my belongings, stuffing them into the trunk of my car.
I drove up north, only stopping for coffee and gas every once in a while, never settling in a motel for the night, instead, I opted to sleep in the backseat of my car, dreaming of the day I’d finally be free of these plagues. Faking my death was the easiest part of it all, after all, working for the government means anything is accessible and anything is possible if you talk to the right people.
I wonder if he even saw the letter, he probably thought it was some lame excuse to leave without making him breakfast, a habit we had gotten used to over the years of casual sex and crashing over at each other’s place when we were too drunk to drive home. Maybe it was exactly what he was hoping for, a break from me. I guess only time will tell.

Leon’s POV
The smell of coffee lingers in the air, the bed is colder than usual, and she isn’t singing in the kitchen like she usually is when she spends the night, she didn’t even wake me up at 6. Did I somehow dream last night? I was pretty drunk… but that’s not right, the coffee on the nightstand is-. I sit up and grab the mug, it’s cold like it’s just been there for hours, but it’s the same as when she always makes it. This must be some kind of game, ah, and here’s a letter most likely explaining the rules, a bit unusual that she didn’t tell me earlier, usually when she plays these games she at least gives me a heads up. Jesus, why’d I have to be into a detective?
Let’s see, “ ’Dear Leon’, blah blah blah blah, jeez she really got into character this time, let’s just skip to the good part, ‘don’t track me’ What am I supposed to do then? Hope I run into her? Maybe the clues are hidden in the text.” As I reread the entire letter I quickly realize, that this isn’t another one of her games, this is a goodbye. But… no. She must be kidding right? Some sick prank she thought would be funny? She knows how many people have left me… she knows that… she’s… I don’t have anyone… why would she leave if she knew that? “FUCK” I grab the mug and toss it at the wall in a fit of rage, shattering to pieces.
*RING RING RING* Great who is it now?! Claire Redfield? “My condolences Leon, she was a great teammate and an even better friend.” “What condolences? Do you know how long she was planning this?!” “I don’t know! I would’ve helped her if I had known… she didn’t deserve to go like that.” “Helped her?! Deserve to go out like that?! So what? You’re just going to help her play the victim now?” “Jesus, Leon! Have some respect for the dead, despite whatever religion you may believe in we can both agree that we shouldn’t blame her for killing herself, the blame should be on us who didn’t even notice something was up.” “Killed herself? What do you mean…?” “Stop acting dumb! It’s all over the news! Those damn bastards couldn’t let her rest even after her death.”
That can’t be right… she would have told me if she was even feeling remotely suicidal… she- THE LETTER! SHE TOLD ME! HOURS OR EVEN SECONDS BEFORE DOING IT! WHY WOULD SHE DO SOMETHING SO DRASTIC! I WAS RIGHT NEXT TO HER! I COULD’VE SAVED HER AND EVEN AT THAT, I FAILED! MERE INCHES AWAY AND STILL I- I failed her- if I had gotten up instead of pretending to sleep if I had opened my eyes when she left the coffee on the nightstand… I could’ve prevented all of this…

2 Years later (2005) 7 years after the incident
MAIN POV
The night was quiet, even inside the bar, the bar was quieter than usual as it was late and most patrons would have work the next day. I loved these kinds of nights, the kind where the sound of people talking and low jazz music were nothing but ambiance noise compared to the rain that was pounding on the windows. The doorbell jingled, and a man came in. I must be dreaming, he looks an awful lot like Leon, sure the blonde hair is throwing me off but the resemblance is there, it can’t be, what’s an old town like this got to do with his operations? Maybe I’m drunk, I doubt it since this is my second glass of wine, but stranger things have happened. As I look back away and out the window a heavy set of footsteps walk up to my table. “Excuse me, is this seat taken?” Holy shit. It’s him. Maybe he won’t notice if I keep quiet and look out the window, maybe the changed hair color will throw him off? Right like his threw me right off track. I shake my head side to side, careful to not show my face. “Thanks.” He pulls out the chair, faces it towards the front of the bar, with his back to the window and sits on it. Umm hello? Can you leave? “It’s a nice night ain’t it.” I guess you aren’t going to leave. I just nod. “Cut the shit, I know it’s you.” He slams his beer on the table and turns his body towards me. I feel the hairs on my body stand at the sudden loudness of his voice. The place goes quiet for a second, and I remain quiet as well. “Fine then, don’t speak to me, I’ll talk whether you talk or not.” I stand up and quickly walk outside, speaking as I do. “I don’t want to talk Leon.” He reaches up to me just as fast, and grabs my wrist before I can get into my car, the rain slowly drenching us both.
“No! You are not walking away from me. Not again. You may have said everything you wanted to that night but just remember that I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye. You left me with what may have been a reason to move states, but to me it was a letter with a reason to end your life, and that wasn’t fair. You knew that I would find out about your death so why make it seem like a suicide note knowing damn well that you had no intention to do so. You left me when you knew! YOU KNEW THAT I HAD NO ONE ELSE. DO YOU KNOW JUST HOW MUCH IT KILLED ME THINKING IT WAS MY FAULT YOU HAD ENDED IT? I CRIED FOR MONTHS NONSTOP AND WHEN I WOULDN’T BE CRYING I WOULD BE DRINKING, BLAMING MYSELF FOR NOT HAVE ASKED YOU WHAT WAS WRONG THAT NIGHT WHEN THERE WAS OBVIOUSLY SOMETHING WRONG. IT KILLED ME. YOU KILLED ME. YOU HURT ME MORE THAN ANY OF THOSE STUPID MISSIONS EVER DID. AND FOR WHAT? WHAT WAS THE REASON? TO END UP WORKING AT SOME MORGUE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE? YOU WALKED OUT ON ME. WHY? WHY?! YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE TO COME BACK JUST PLEASE TELL ME WHY!
“BECAUSE I LOVED YOU LEON! I STILL DO! AND I KNEW YOU WEREN’T READY TO SETTLE SO I LEFT. I LEFT THAT NIGHT BECAUSE I LOVED YOU AND I KNEW YOU DIDN’T LOVE ME. IT HURT TOO MUCH NEVER BEING ABLE TO TELL YOU OR SHOW YOU JUST HOW MUCH I DID. AND NO, I DIDN’T GET TO TELL YOU EVERYTHING I WANTED TO SAY IN THAT LETTER BECAUSE I WAS SCARED OF WHAT YOU WOULD DO IF YOU KNEW I LOVED YOU. I AM SORRY I HURT YOU SO MUCH. I JUST COULDN’T LIVE THAT WAY AND I NEEDED TO ESCAPE. I WAS SO BLINDED BY MY OWN PAIN I DIDN’T EVEN REALIZE WHAT I DID UNTIL I WAS SEVERAL TOWNS OVER AND I KNEW IT WAS TOO LATE BY THEN. I LOST IT. I LOST IT LEON. I LOST IT ALL. I- I WAS GOING MAD. IT WAS DRIVING ME MAD THE WAY YOU INTERACTED WITH ADA! YOU WERE HEAD OVER HEELS FOR HER AND I WAS SIMPLY THE SECOND CHOICE! EVEN WHEN WE MET YOU WERE HUNG UP ON SOMEONE! I NEVER HAD A CHANCE.”
“YOU’RE WRONG! I NEVER LIKED ADA! ALL SHE HAS DONE IS LIE AND BETRAY MY TRUST!  IT’S BEEN YOU SINCE THAT NIGHT WE MET! AND YOU’RE RIGHT I WASN’T READY TO HAVE A FAMILY, BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN I NEVER WANTED TO START ONE! ESPECIALLY WITH YOU! GOD I WOULD KILL TO HAVE THE CHANCE TO CALL YOU MINE IN ANY FORM!” His facial expression suddenly changes from anger to sadness, and one can practically see the gears in his brain as he thinks of what to say next. He steps closer his eyes now looking down at his own shoes, and when he speaks it’s much quieter than the previous shouting he was doing, his voice is slightly deeper and he talks slower, as if he’s realizing the meaning of his own words as he says them.
“You don’t know how many nights I spent dreaming about the day I could finally quit my job and just ask you to be mine already. So many nights wishing that all of these viruses would just go away so I could finally take you out to dinner and treat you the way you always deserved. I just wish you would have let me tell you that instead of making choice for me. I love you. I love you so fucking much it hurts. Surely you must know that… right?” I pull him in by his jacket, and I kiss him. I kiss him like there’s no tomorrow and he kisses back just as passionately, his arms wrapped rightly around my waist pulling me and closely as possible and it still wasn’t enough. For what feels like an eternity we stand there, drenched and yet it doesn’t bother us, and it isn’t until our lungs beg for air that we finally pull apart. He picks me up bridal style and runs to the passenger side of his car putting me inside, takes off his wool jacket and lays it on me gently before running back to the driver seat and driving to my house. “How- that’s a stupid question it'd be stranger if you didn’t know my address.” He chuckles, but that doesn’t answer my second question, “If you have something to say then say it, I don’t want you keeping any questions from me ever again.” He looks at me, frowning. “How many times did you have to look at my address to memorize the path from the bar to it?” “Too many, honey.” That’s all I wanted, a sweet nickname that I know only I’ll hear. While he drives he puts his hand on my thigh, and it feels so unbelievable right.
Tumblr media
When we arrive he runs back over to my door to open it and extends his hand for me to hold, I run to the door and unlock it running inside for shelter as the rain falls in bigger drops, “I’m going to go shower really quickly, make yourself at home.” “Can I join you?” his hand still on mine “Don’t get too ahead of yourself, I’ll be out in a second I promise.” I kiss his forehead, and run to the restroom to shower before I catch a cold. When I get out of the shower I shiver, only wearing a towel, he’s in my room, standing by the fireplace that is now ablaze while he looks at the pictures and trinkets I have on it. “I left some hot water for you, better run and shower before I go back in.” He doesn’t answer, he just motions for me to come closer and when I do he holds my waist with one hand, the other holds out a framed picture of the both us selfie, it was taken on my 21st birthday, we were in a booth in a bar, jeez why are we always at bars? “I have this exact same picture framed on my nightstand. We’ll make it. I promise.” He kisses my forehead, his hair still damp and cold from the rain, after a few seconds he pulls away and goes to shower. Should I bring some wine? What about lingerie? Too much? Yeah, too much. I just want to make it up to him. Candles! Music! Is Jeff buckley too much heartbreak? Chris Isaak? Nine Inch Nails? Too kinky for our first romantic time. Alannah Myles? Yes. Black velvet comes on first too?! Perfect.
As if on cue Leon comes out of the bathroom with a towel covering his lower half, I just can’t help it and I run into his arms pulling him in to a kiss once again, he must’ve been feeling the same way because his hands immediately land on my hips and he pulls me flush against his chest, my hands on his hair. He picks me up bridal style and carefully throws me onto the bed, climbing on top of me, his hands roaming any bare skin I have, his kisses growing sloppy and eventually moving down my neck occasionally nipping and leaving his mark, kissing back up my jaw and nibbling right below my ear, the sound of his heavy breathing makes me rub my thighs and he instantly notices, pulling them apart and throwing the towels which hung loosely around us onto the floor. It was like he was analyzing which part he should go after first. His kisses go between the valley of my breasts, and he carefully pinches both nipples at the same time, his tongue leaving a trail as it goes lower and lower, “Leon, please,” My voice barely above a whisper, “I wanna be yours… I’m going to make you mine.” His lips right above my clit the vibration still going through. And he kisses it, slowly at first, his fingers never leaving my nipples, then he speeds up, instead of kissing it he’s just flicking it with his tongue, running circles on it, sucking, and blowing on it afterwards. My moans grow louder, it’s too much, his touch is too much, and it’s about to be more. “So many nights I dreamt about this.” And without a warning one of his fingers goes into me, as he curls and moves it in and out, adding a second one and doing scissor motions, his lips now repeating the same actions from before but now on your nipples constantly switching between them. “Leon it’s too much- I-“ “Cum on my fingers.” I don’t need to be told twice and he just speeds up his ministrations as my legs shake.
“I’m gonna make you feel so good tonight baby, you’re never going to be the same.” I moan and twist his hair between my fingers. After I’m done he pulls out his fingers and licks them clean, “God how I’ve missed your taste.” And before I know it he’s between my thighs again like a starved man, curling his tongue inside and his hands massage my hips keeping them from bucking, his nose rubbing against my clit every once a while and his tongue runs over my walls like he can’t get enough, “Leon don’t stop please- you- you- feel so-“ My legs shaking again, thighs crushing his head and he groans, the vibrations going through my entire body. And as I come down from my high he’s licking every last drop, “So pretty when you cum” without warning he’s shoving his dick in me, one of his hands holding my legs on his shoulders and the other holding my hips, angling them up getting in even deeper, setting a sharp and quick pace. I pull him in with my legs, his hands now pressing my thighs to my chest and his lips meet mine for a messy kiss, both moaning into each other’s mouth the new angle has both of us seeing stars and I involuntary clench around him every once in a while making his knees buck, “Fuck, keep doing that and I won’t last.” “I don’t want you to last.” I scratch my nails on his back and his scalp, and he moans in my ear. “You sound so pretty when you moan.” And he blushes hiding his face in my neck, groaning and moaning. “I- I’m close- Leon-“ “Cum for me.” And I snap, my walls gripping him tighter than he could imagine, and he cums as well, his knees bucking and his body shivers on mine. His hands bruising my hips but I couldn’t care any less. After a few more seconds of him pistoning in and out he finally falters, and he lies on top of me for a while, now it’s just our heavy breathing and the long-forgotten CD still playing in the background. As he pulls out he lays his head on my chest and covers us both, I softly run my fingers along his hair, his own fingers drawing shapes on my skin. “I love you.” We both spoke simultaneously, “Jinx” “That’s not fair.” He jokingly frowns, “Nuh uh, can’t speak, I said jinx.” After some silence I speak up again. “Do you remember when we first met?” He just remains silent, “I know you’re awake.” “You said I couldn’t speak.” “Fine.” “Leon,” Saying his name slowly, a kiss on his forehead, “Leon,” repeating it even slower, a kiss on his nose, “Leon.” Barely above a whisper, a kiss on his lips, “I think about that night every day.” He replies. “Do you remember?” “Crystal clear.” The memories flooding back to me.
Tumblr media
We met in a bar a day before the incident, a town outside of Raccoon City, I walked in “Can I get whiskey on rocks?” I ordered, and a voice came from next to me “Are you even old enough to drink?” The man was unbelievably good looking, but obviously out of it. “Excuse me? I fail to see how that’s any of your business.” “I’m a cop. It is my business.” He flashes his badge, “A drunk one. You’re no better than I am.” He chuckles “You didn’t answer my initial question.” “I did you just didn’t like my response.” “I could take you to jail right now.” “In that condition? You’d probably crash before we even got in the city.” “I can drive just fine.” “You sure? Because by the look of your dilated pupils, you’re either drunk or in love.” “Or?” he smirks, “As if.” The bartender is way too tired to pay attention to either and simply passes you the drink, you hand him cash, “You’re not even going to ID her? And they say we’re the corrupted ones.” “Listen here, if you’re just going to come in and talk shit with our customers then feel free to make your way out.” The bartender responds, of course, he’d have your back, you’ve been a regular for months. “Fine. I guess I will.” He stands up immediately feeling dizzy as he slightly stumbles out of the bar, I follow behind him I can’t afford such a handsome guy getting himself killed on the road. “Let me drive. You’ve obviously had too many and I’m sober.” “After that whiskey?” “Believe it or not some of us actually have a tolerance to alcohol. I didn’t finish it anyway.” He sighs outside his car, taking a moment to think, he puts his hand on his head and hands me the keys walking over to the passenger side.
“Where to?” “Any hotel nearby.” “Are you sure you don’t want me to drop you off at your house?” “Don’t have one.” It’s dark out and the road is empty other than the occasional gas station, “So… what brings you out here anyhow?” “To the bar or to the city?” “Both” “Mainly work, I’m starting my first day as a cop tomorrow in Raccoon City.” “Wow, I could’ve been your first arrest, lucky you.” “So you admit you’re underage” “I’m 20 alright lay off it, say you don’t look old enough to drink either.” “That’s because I’m 21.” “Aha! You’re no better than I am.” “At least I waited.” “First of all I call bullshit, and second of all getting wasted isn’t exactly waiting. You drank tonight more than I’ve drank in these past months. What about the bar? A celebration for your new job?” “My girlfriend broke up with me yesterday, needed a drink to forget. What about you? Do you go there often?” “I’m sorry to hear about your ex. Well, college is hard and family doesn’t make it easier so we all cope in some way or another.” “Ah family, I can relate to that.” “They didn’t want you to be a cop?” “They’re dead now but I’m sure they wouldn’t be proud. They were wrapped up in crime more often than not, a cop helped me out that night though, and helped me get into an orphanage.” “That’s sweet” he smiles, god he’s cute. “What are you studying in college?” “Mortuary science.” “Isn’t that just lovely.” I laugh and he looks at me with these huge puppy eyes. “Don’t think I’ve seen you smile this whole time, you’re pretty cute when you smile.” “Only when I smile? Good golly.” He laughs again, “Didn’t even deny it.” I whisper under my breath as I shake my head, “You’re always cute, you’re just too sassy for me to see it.” I just blush and keep quiet for the rest of the ride, turning on the radio to play some jazz quietly in the background as the rain starts pattering down the windshield. At one point he simply passes out, man is he adorable when he sleeps, his eyelashes are so thick, and his faint freckles are scattered around his cheeks and neck, man his ex must’ve been blind and deaf, don’t know how she could just give up on this cutie. As I see a nearby motel I notice the gas tank is close to empty and I park at the motel. “Excuse me how close is the nearest gas station?” “About 4 miles up north, but I wouldn’t recommend walking out there this late, with the heavy rain and the recent murders in the city it is too dangerous to be out.” “I’ll book two rooms then,” As I finish up paying I walk back out to the car to get the stranger, recent murders huh? What if he’s the killer? Nah he’s too sweet for that. He could be acting… I’m sure it’s fine. “Are you awake? I got you a room, seems we’ll have to be neighbors for the night since this car isn’t going anywhere.” No answer. Guess I’ll have to carry him, man he feels like a steel wall, god, I’m going to be sore tomorrow. After carrying him to his room and push him onto his bed his hand grabs onto mine, and he pull me onto the bed with him wrapping his arms around me, whispering a name, still very much asleep. After a while I manage to get his arm off of me and to my room as quietly as possible knocking out on my bed.
In the morning I wake up to the sound of the sound of knocking on the door, as I peek out I see the lady from last night, her husband is offering to drive me to the gas station and I quickly agree and get in his truck. The drive to was quiet filled with occasional small talk, on the ride back however, he stared asking more personal questions, putting his hand on my shoulder every once in a while. When he parked he kept the doors locked looking over at me as if he’d seen his first meal, “If you’d like, I can help you fill up” his tone lower and he leaned towards me, “No thank you, I’m running a bit late could you-“ “Listen princess, my wife is probably taking a nap right now and I think it’d be in both of our interest if we had a little fun.” I quickly move my hand and unlock the doors, but he grabs my wrist tightly before I can open it. “Let me go! My friend is a cop and he will arrest you!” He chuckles and my god it is the most disgusting sound I’ve ever heard. Oh yeah? Where’s this friend of yours at?” “Right here.” A familiar voice responds from behind the man as his door swings open and he gets pulled out of his seat, and before the man could even fully raise his fist he gets punched in the nose, falling back unconscious. Seriously badass. He quickly runs around to my side and opens the door, holding his hand out for me to take and I gladly do so. “Thank you.” I pull him into a hug and he reciprocates the action, after pulling away he holds his hand out “I’m Leon Kennedy, sorry I didn’t introduce myself earlier.” I introduce myself and shake his hand. After filling up the tank we drove back to the bar, the same place I’d left my car the night before.
We stop at a diner to eat lunch, his treat of course since he turned out to be a gentleman, lending me his jacket when it got cold outside and walking me to my car as we said our goodbyes, both knowing we didn’t want to go our separate ways. I give him my phone number and he does the same, and with that I’m in my car alone, and he’s in his equally alone. It wasn’t until I got half way back home that I realized he’d forgotten his jacket, and I would’ve kept it if it didn’t contain his badge along with other belongings. Thankfully I knew he’d most likely be heading to the police station over at Raccoon City so that’s where I’d be going for the rest of the day, I didn’t have anything planned anyways so it’d be a fun roadtrip. By the time I was only half an hour out of the city it was already dark and I needed fuel stopping at a gas station which coincidentally had Leon’s car parked right outside it. I got out ready to surprise him when out of no where a bloodied woman came to my window banging her head against it, not knowing whether to help her or seek Leon inside the dark gas station I climb over the passenger seat and run towards the building turning back to see a swarm of them hurling towards me. As I turn an isle I walk into Leons back, he quickly turns pointing the gun right at my forehead, “DON’T SHOOT! IT’S ME!” He doesn’t even respond he just grabs my hand and leads me out to the nearby police cruiser which was luckily on. I get into the passenger seat and he gets into the drivers, quickly stepping on the gas pedal. After we were seemingly in the clear he speaks up “What were you doing there?” Not angry but obviously shaken by the experience, “You forgot your jacket, I was going to drive to RPD and leave it there but I spotted your car at the gas station.” He looks down at me, noticing the jacket still on me, “Oh, thank you.” I take it off and hold onto it for the rest of the ride, we were both quiet, trying to process what we’d just seen. Eventually stopping outside of another diner within the city. From then on it’s all just history.

Stained Memories
Memories lasts forever.

A Haitani brothers x sister reader One shot.
Length: 1,666 words
Notes:
This is my first time in years since I started writing again so I'm starting to try to get comfortable with this.
It's messy but I tried.
Tumblr media
"Don't you think it's also time?" The eldest peered in, a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips; his voice trailing off the moment he looked forward.
"Nevermind," He dismissed with a soft chuckle, returning his gaze at the crimson red that was in his hand. "You're never sure of your answers anyways." The sound of the knife carefully peeling the skin off of the apple was quiet, steady.
"No, no," the middle mused, his smirk never leaving his face as he leaned on the wall beside his elder brother. "She's not one to decide on anything at all." His chuckle was a hint of fondness and humor as he thought about their sister. "She always has to have someone else tell her what to do."
"Yeah, that sounds about right." Ran hummed at Rindou's words with a small smile on his lips, finding it humorous. He snickered; reminiscing the time when they were younger.
When the evening scene would fall and the siblings snuck away from the harsh reality of living and escaped to the nearby playground, the empty expanse of the area served as their sanctuary. They would swing on the swings with reckless abandon, chased each other through the shadows in a game of tag, and fill the cold air with their laughter and fun, embracing the simple joy of being just kids.
"Not this time!" She ran as fast as her legs could go as she rounded a corner with fixed street lights. Her brothers followed behind as one stopped a halt. Holding her knee, she caught her breath. "That-that was fun!" She spoke between ragged breaths, smiling wildly. Though, Rindou was more worried than happy. "ARE YOU INSANE?!-" he practically yelled. Sure, he had his fun. But she surprised him with the sudden dash. Before he could say another mouth full of worry, his sister calmly spoke.
"Hey! Rin-nii, come on! It's okay. I mean," raising her hand, she softly pats him on the shoulder reassuringly. "When was the last time we've done something like this?" She expressed. It was true. It's been a long time since they have last done this. Ever since their involvements with a dangerous community, they haven't had much fun like this. All they did was wait, wait, and wait. Be there for each other and avoid danger at all times. But not today. This day, they're going to have fun.
No busy schedule, tiring days, or worry will stop her from having fun once in a while.
"Nii-chan-really. It's okay! Stop worrying so much. Come on. Let's have some fun," reassuring her anxious brother.
Sweat was running down his frowed brows and fogged his glasses. "Even just for a little bit." Wanting to let this slip, even just for once. As she looked at her brother, pleadingly.
"Fine... I give in." Rindou sighed heavily. Finally: giving in, cracking a slight nervous yet mischievous smile on his face. "Finally. You're so lame all the time." The girl teased, laughing lightly while he playfully rolled his eyes at her, adjusting his tilted glasses.
"Oi! You two!" An angry voice yelled behind, running after the two with urgency and worry. "Where are you going?!" The silhouette stepped into the light, casting the veins on his forehead. "You either get back here or else!" He warned.
The girl laughed in amusement as she grabbed Rindou's shaky hand, turning their backs on Ran and dashed for it. "I'M- I'M SORRY!!" The brother screamed, his coolness went away as fear took over him while he let his sister lead him away from the unavoidable trouble they faced.
He wondered, just what are they gonna do once Ran catches up to them?
The girl laughed nervously, a blurred mix of fear, adrenaline, and fun filled her senses. Her brother, Rindou, beside her, looked up at Ran with regret and fear in his eyes.
Ran snickered, laughter bursts out of his calm facade, "It's either that or she just freezes up and leave or do everything at once." He snickered at the memory, "It was so damn hilarious."
"I can't believe she just did that!" Rindou spoke with disbelief and nervousness in his face as he pointed at their sister, "I was just trying to catch her before you come back but- She just grabbed my hand and ran away!" He explained hurriedly to their older brother who wore a frustrated expression on his face. His two braided hair slightly disheveled from the chase.
"You..." Ran's voice trailed to a low grumble, burying his face into the palm of his hand before looking down on her, sighing. "I know you want to have fun but you have to let me know next time." He spoke to her, looking between Rindou and the girl. Even he can't handle her wild attitude.
Sweat ran down her forehead as she looked up their older brother with nervousness. Rindou, stepped back away from the tension with a apologetic look on his face for her.
"And next time..." His voice dropping na octave lower, a hint of warning in his tone. "Don't. Cause. Trouble."
"I'm..." She gulped, "Sorry..." She smiled nervously, standing still as his worried and frustrated figure walked towards hers.
His knife made its way around it's skin, separating it's flesh, it followed by a crisp snap that broke away from the flesh of the apple; snapping both the brothers thoughts away from the memories that kept them away, away from the recent incident that occurred because of themselves.
A quarrel between the Haitani's, a rare occurrence for them began in their residence. Harsh words were hurled at between the two; each word threatening their bond and loyalty towards one another as inner turmoil fogged the mind of the eldest's calm facade.
"Nii-chan! Just what is going on? Why are you doing this?? Why leave?!" Rindou let out a yell, slowly approaching him from the door, a mix of anger and confusion in his voice as he stared at Ran who turned his back on them.
"You two... Are well off in where you are. I don't want to bring any more danger in our family."
His response bubbled up emotions within Rindou. Worry, fear, and the unsureness of this sudden decision. "Do you even hear yourself?! We've always lived this kind of life- and you- you're just gonna leave when everything's going on our way?!" He questioned, seeking an explanation from his older brother's behavior. "You're being unreasonable! Maybe you should listen to us instead of trying to control everything yourself!"
Muffled voices rang in Ran's ears as his vision fogged up.
He had always thought that as long as they have each other, they can get through anything. Being the driving force behind their rise, that influence and power would allow them survival and living. But the moment he led them into the life of delinquency, danger loomed behind them like a cloud of raining disaster and that was then he knew that it was no longer enough.
With their sister's presence, he realized how fragile their lives were more fragile that he had thought. He couldn't bear the thought of anything happening to them, and he knew that his own actions and choices had led them down a dangerous path.
However, he realized that this life was his and his alone. His siblings did not belong in this world, no matter how skilled or resilient they were. It was a dangerous and unpredictable life, and he wanted to keep them as far away from it as possible. And so, he decided to distance himself now that he knows that they are well off by themselves. Away from the danger that he's carrying.
But how could they understand that when it's engraved in their minds about their loyalty and bond with one another?
His fists were clenched to his sides and as he spun around to beat some sense into his little brother. The time suddenly slowed down yet he couldn't stop his fist from swinging once from the sudden realization.
The girl stumbled backwards, her head crashed into the sharp corner of the ground with a sickening thud and crack. A gasp escaped her lips, her vision swimming as she crumpled to the ground. It left her dazed and disoriented. And within a few seconds, she let out a pained cry, her hand instinctively flying to the back of her head where a lump was starting to form.
The sound of her pain echoed throughout the room, snapping the brothers' horror-filled gazes of their sister on the ground. Ran rushed to her side as Rindou stumbled his way on her other, unsure of what to do while worry and fear overtook his mind.
Ran reached down to carefully lift her pained head up from the ground and placed her head on his lap while reassuring her that she'll be fine.
"Rindou! What are you doing there- call an ambulance!" Ran called, his voice breaking Rindou out of his shock as his hand shakily dialed the number and called the operator.
The elder brother looked down as sweat dripped down his forehead and onto her shaking form. Her blood was so red, it mixed with his hands' as her skin turned cold and pale.
It was in his hand-The pale unsliced innards of the apple were laid upon their eyes, leaving a reminder of their sister's current state.
She laid on her bed of white, skin; pale. The monitors hooked on her body made a rhythmic intervals that broke the stillness that sounded the room. Each a quiet, reassuring soft hissed whisper reassured her waiting brothers that she still clung onto to life.
He looked down at his hand, mind still in the past, feeling the slick warmth and seeing the vivid reddened hue staining his skin. Ran wondered if it was her blood or just the lingering heat from the apple that still clung to his palm. Perhaps it was both.

i'll go on and on and on again / if my chest don't cave in
Tumblr media
In which one friend is another’s strength.
Written for AI-less Whumptober 2024, Day 3: Survivor's guilt/"It's not your fault."
Length: 1,295 words
Tumblr media
Trip and Malcolm walk quickly down the busy hall. Seven million people are dead back on Earth, and there are preparations to make. Trip feels like there's a hole in his chest; there's nothing to do about it but pray it closes.
"Is there going to be some kind of service?" Malcolm asks innocently. To anyone else, the question would sound flippant. Trip knows Malcolm better than that; the armory officer is treading carefully.
He still eyes him anyway. "For Lizzie?" He knows the answer. "If you're talking about a funeral, it's kind of pointless when there's nothing left." Somehow, he manages to sound less hollow than he feels. Not a high bar, but fuck it.
He can do this.
Malcolm’s frown deepens. "I guess I was talking about a memorial."
Or not.
"My sister wasn't big on memorials," Trip retorts. He sounds angrier than he means to.
Malcolm pauses, as though to measure his words. "I read there was a day of remembrance for all the victims a couple of months ago," he offers, his voice a little softer. "I'm sorry you missed it."
The hole in Trip's chest grows. "Why are you so obsessed with memorials?"
"I'm not obsessed—"
"She's dead," Trip snaps, immediately hating himself for it. "So are seven million others. She was no more important than any of them."
A look comes over Malcolm's face. Pity? "She was more important to you." His voice is almost soft. Gentle, even. "There's nothing wrong in admitting that." Trip's chest tightens. He can't do this. Not here. He stops. Malcolm looks at him, concern written all over his face.
"I'm getting real tired of you telling me what I can and can't do," Trip seethes, vaguely wondering if Malcolm can see the tears in his eyes. "And while we're at it, I don't need you to remind me that Elizabeth was killed, so just let it alone." He can already see the hurt in Malcolm's expression, but he's too angry not to take another shot. "Maybe you should pay more attention to upgrading your weapons, so you can blow the hell out of those bastards when we find them." Malcolm's never gonna speak to me again after this, he thinks.
He's still too angry not to storm off.
---
Malcolm stands in the corridor, stunned. It's not that he expected Trip to react well to the conversation. He's not that dense. But for him to snap like that, even with the stress he's under?
A pit settles in his stomach. He needs to do something.
---
Trip lays in his bunk, his eyes burning as he stares at the ceiling. He wishes it'd been him. Something deep inside him knows it should've been him. It should never have been Elizabeth—so full of promise, snuffed out like she didn't mean anything.
Realistically, he thinks, she didn't. Hell, he'd said it himself: she was no more important than any of them.
He scowls. He can't even say her name anymore. What kind of brother even is he, anyway?
While he's at it, it's not like he's a good friend either. Snapping at Malcolm while he's just trying to be supportive. The fuck's that all about? Some small piece of him knows he should apologize.
But then, says a larger part of him, maybe that's just more evidence that it should've been me and not her.
His train of thought is derailed by the chime of his doorbell. His scowl deepens as he rises. He walks over to the door, barely caring who's behind it.
Probably Hoshi, or Travis.
Maybe Jon. (Wishful thinking.)
It's Malcolm.
His heart skips a beat.
"Evening." His voice and expression are both neutral, but not unfriendly. Trip's face goes almost slack.
"Malcolm," he replies lamely, sounding more annoyed than he is. He silently kicks himself.
"Might I come in?" Malcolm asks softly.
"Oh, uh..." What. "Sure. Yeah."
The next fifteen seconds feel like one. Next thing he knows, the older man is leaning against his desk, looking at him pensively.
No—intentionally.
As though he's taking aim.
True to the marksman he is, his next words go straight through Trip’s heart. "You do know this isn't your fault, don't you?"
What.
"What?"
"Elizabeth. Her death wasn't your fault."
You son of a—
Trip scoffs, rolling his eyes. "Never said it was."
“You didn’t have to,” Malcolm replies coolly, as though they’re talking about literally anything else. But then something changes—no, turns sympathetic—in the older man’s eyes. “For what it’s worth, I’d feel the same if it had been Madeline.”
Something flickers through Trip’s eyes, hurt and angry. “You don’t know what you’re talking about."
Malcolm takes aim again, standing up fully. “Maybe not.” He gives him a wan, sad smile, and he swears he can feel the hole in his chest open again. Not that it was ever closed. “But I know you, Trip.”
Trip glares at Malcolm, the tears in his eyes extinguishing some of the rage behind them. "Lieutenant," he growls through his teeth, his voice strained. "I’m warning you. Shut the fuck up."
"Trying to make yourself forget Elizabeth is not going to help anyone," Malcolm continues, ignoring the attempt to pull rank.
Another shot through the heart.
Before Trip can move to patch it, Malcolm fires again.
"Elizabeth Tucker was important. She was your sister, and she was important to you. And it—" Malcolm pauses, seeming to have some difficulty of his own, before huffing out a sigh. "It fucking kills me to see you try to deny that.” He shrugs, exasperated. “I—You were right, Trip. I can't tell you what you can or can't do. Certainly not when you are my superior officer. As your friend, however—” Trip winces as he hears Malcolm’s voice break. “I will not watch you drive yourself into the ground like this."
Trip looks down, his eyes swimming. The tears are hot as they spill down his face. He hears quiet footsteps, until he can see Malcolm's blurry feet right in front of his. He feels a hand on each shoulder.
“I don’t care that you snapped at me,” Malcolm murmurs, the tenderness of it ripping at what’s left of Trip’s heart. “I know you’re angry. I know you’re hurt.”
Malcolm's forehead presses against the top of his head.
"And we are going to make sure that the Xindi pay fucking dearly for what they've done." He punctuates the point with a short squeeze of Trip’s shoulders, his voice breaking again as he does. "But there's time still before we do that, Trip. Be angry. Be devastated. Cry. Scream. Whatever you need to do."
Malcolm's hands come up towards Trip’s throat. Work-roughened fingers hold his neck, his thumbs gently stroking his jawline. "Just let. Go. We will help you pick up the pieces, and we will make the Xindi pay."
The hole in his chest may as well be a chasm now.
Everything comes out at once.
---
Malcolm suddenly feels the weight of Trip's head on his shoulder as he's crushed into a warm body. His shoulder becomes wet.
"My baby sister..." comes a broken whisper.
Malcolm breathes, swallowing the lump in his throat and blinking away his tears. This is about Trip; he will be strong for him. Freeing his arms, he reaches up to hold Trip's head to his shoulder.
"I know," he whispers back. "It wasn't your fault."
Malcolm starts to card his fingers through Trip’s short blond hair. He rests his chin on Trip's shoulder, letting himself fit into the space he’s left as he wraps his free arm around him.
As Trip shatters, bawling into him hard enough to make both of them shake, Malcolm holds together. He will do that for his friend.

Today's theme: Rounds - The Oh Hellos
Youtube link || Spotify link
I picked this as today's theme for two reasons:
The title was inspired by a line in it.
This song tends to make me feel like my own chest is caving in.
The second point kind of explains the first, but I've always associated this song with the end. (Figures, it's the last song of this (REALLY GOOD) album.) In particular, the first minute-and-a-half reminds me of something coming full circle, something coming back to itself.
"The Forgotten" reminds me of that, too: Trip is, by and large, an emotional man who cares deeply about those close to him (especially Lizzie). When he breaks down, he's coming back to that a little, returning from having shoved those feelings down for months. I just wanted to write something where that return happened a little sooner.
