i absolutely loved Agatha day!! the episode went by so quickly, i was surprised when it ended. (and what an ending! 😳) i don’t want to say too much in case you have followers that haven’t had the chance to watch yet, but i love how we’re getting to see more of Agatha’s personality as we go. i forget which interview / preview said it, but it really feels like peeling back layers on an onion; there’s just soooo much more to her and it’s amazing. 🤩

also while i’m here, thank you SO much for Lark Ascending! the ending of Chaconne was heartbreaking and beautiful and had me in tears, and i am so glad it isn’t the end for R and our favorite conductor. chapter 3 and the performance (again i don’t want to give anything away for anyone that hasn’t been able to enjoy it yet!) literally took my breath away, it was so beautifully written.

I find every aspect of her character to be so fascinating- there's so much under the surface that she has buried sooooo far deep down. Now she's without her powers- without that crutch she's been leaning on for so long, I'm very interested in seeing her having to face what she's been running from. It's definitelyyy similar to peeling back the layers of an onion (I forget which interview that came from as well, but I loved it and it gave me major Shrek vibes lmao).

Oh my gosh, thank you so much <3 Chaconne was so special to me. Writing that ending gave me a lot of closure from various things and I'm grateful it's resonated with some other people as well. Lark is definitely a different vibe, but I love writing Agatha as a conductor sooo much. I know au's aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoy thinking about how characters would interact in different situations with some minor, some major changes and how that impacts them. Rambling, haha, but I hope you enjoy the conclusion of the arc!! <3

2. that makes me laugh

admittedly i sneak a lot of snarky descriptions into my writing but overthink the delivery so much that it stops being funny and starts being annoying to me on rereads 🥴 THAT SAID the tone of the potc dragonfics are silly enough to let me make overt jokes that tickle me, like this little bit from an older chapter:

“Him. Lookout,” [Elizabeth] corrects, without thinking. Tense already, Will immediately stops rowing. “For what?” he asks sharply. “No, Lookout is his…” A chill runs down Elizabeth’s spine, and her gut turns uncomfortable. She spins around and searches the water. Dark scales flashes from beneath the surface, almost invisible but for the ripple of seafoam jetting in their wake. “Look out!” Lookout erupts from the surface, bringing with him a great wall of water which crashes mercilessly over their boat.

A lot of things! But most of all, making things that I’m proud of, or feeling like I’ve improved myself in some sort of tangible sense.

I don’t. I think love is about trying, and about being willing to try, continually, especially when it’s difficult. I think two people can be very compatible in terms of personalities/interests/worldviews/etc., but I wouldn’t say that makes them soulmates. I’m very cynical about notions like ‘love at first sight’ or finding ‘the one’ / finding ‘the perfect fit’. I don’t think such a thing exists. I don’t think any two people can fit perfectly together from the start; I think a lot of love is about learning to fit. That might seem pessimistic, but I think it’s romantic in its own right.

Ooh, this is a fun question!! I (somewhat?) recently watched Fle/abag for the first time, which I really liked; the genre and tone are very different from what I usually watch, but there are a couple scenes that really stuck with me, that I think will stick with me for years :’) I also rewatched The Hal/f of It (I think the first time I watched it was back in 2020?). I think it presents itself as a lighthearted rom-com at the start, though deceptively so; it’s actually not really a love story at all, but it has some very sharp/thoughtful takes on love imo.

I also started playing Ho/nka/i St/ar Rai/l recently; I’ve been having a lot of fun with it so far! I wouldn’t say I’m actively into any of media in a fandom sense, though.

Hobbies-wise, I like writing fiction (probably not a surprise). I also like writing music + do it pretty seriously (I currently have ~400 music drafts/wips/songs saved to my music library from the past 6 years, though many are just ~1min long.) In the past, I’ve also had fun writing poetry, drawing/painting, and cooking :)

3. What fic are you emotionally attached to?

Dates and Delusions! I've probably yelled about this fic enough, but I honestly love it so much. It was the first au that I attempted to write, and it evolved into so much more than I would have ever anticipated. I've considered sequels for my fics before, but this was the first one where I've actually committed to that. The sequel for this fic is at the top of my wip list, and I'll be excited to get back into it once I've finished up my last fluff week fic. I'm not sure who the anon was that sent the request that would eventually turn into this fic, but I'm eternally grateful to them <3

Another one that I think about constantly is Admit Defeat. I wrote this fic as a sort of challenge to myself. I wanted to emulate the way that some of my favorite art makes me feel. I wanted to rattle the soul the very same way, so I painstakingly thought about each and every visual I wanted to convey to leave my readers feeling haunted. And in the end of it, honestly? I felt like I'd succeeded in the way that I wanted to, and I'll love this fic forever because of it.

20. What’s the greatest gift you’ve gotten from your writing?

So it's probably sappy and cliché, but I've met so many wonderful people because of my fic. All the people I wouldn't even know existed if they didn't happen to be into the same shit as I am, if they didn't happen to click a link and read my silly fics. As somebody who doesn't talk to people often and has trouble making friends, that's what's most important to me. So, yeah! The gift of friendship~
