- I said this in a reblog-, at this point I think I hc him a lefty, I KEEP DRAWING HIM AS ONE SO FUCK IT-

- Oh sports are his life support, it’s his saving grace HE LOVES SPORTS- mainly football and soccer (he used to play soccer in middle-high school) THIS MAN SCREAMS AT THE TV “GOOOAAAAAAAAAL” WHEN SOCCER’S ON (he’s just like my dad for real- :0)

- He definitely listens to old fashioned Italian music, his mother raised him in it HE WILL DIE WITH IT IN HIS BLOOD. But he also likes other types of music (he mains Depeche Mode-)

- He has the most dankest most messed up shat up car you can ever imagine that’s STILL GOING, he treats his car like his child though, he cleans it and is EXTREMELY careful with his baby (He listens to his songs in there and bobs his head when he has a song he likes, but he looks really serious, like he’s gonna kill someone- but he’s still enjoying himself)

- I should also mention that he SUCKS at driving, man has a drivers license yet he’s dog at it?! This is also why his car is so jacked up because he kept crashing it when he was younger- I think he’s cooled down now but he still can’t park right- This is also why he rather would take his pizza delivery motorcycle or Stick just drives him (since he’s funnily enough the only good driver-)

- His house is pretty small, and a bit tight but it’s okay once you get used to it, he tries to stay organized but at times he does tend to leave clothes on the floor. Of course his garage is the cleanest thing known to man, a bunch of flags (a big ass Italian flag-) and signs that say “Man’s garage” or “Man cave”. He also has another fridge full of beers and sodas.

- Have I mentioned he likes beer?🍻

(- And when Peppino’s drunk he’s either two things, a silly drunk: he’s doing stupid shit-

- He still has his war gear in a closet, he keeps it for memories (the GOOD ones) and just cuz he thinks it might be important still.

- He keeps a shotgun underneath his bed (for protection of course-)

- He also has a punching bag in his basement, a big ol’ red one, and he has it there to take his anger out 🥊🔔

- I think he has a bit of anger issues, not too severe! Just that he can get mad easily if stuff just isn’t going right, which is also why he HATES The Noise and Pizza Head, they’re too chaotic for him-

- When Brick was gonna stay with them Peppino initially just wanted Brick away from him but he ended up like one of those Dads that have their pet on the couch watching TV. He also play fights with him too like: he’ll pretend to punch him or he wrestles with him for fun-

- He’s an asshole when he wants to be, one time he was eating with his friends at a McDonalds and they were getting breakfast, motherfucker ate half his friend’s hash-brown and put the half he didn’t eat outside the wrapper to make it look normal. (He did this when he was a teen but he can still be an ass like this-)

- He uses a lot of Italian hand gestures, he uses his hands A LOT he practically talks with them-

- He speaks very aggressively in Italian, the amount of times people thought he was angry and yelling at them even though he was just telling them to hand him a napkin. It’s hilarious, Gustavo is the only one to understand he’s not angry, he’s just talking- 😂

- This even applies to when he’s talking in English, HE STILL YELLS- Like his voice is a big BOOM, yeah he can calm it down but it’s still relatively loud, he’s only ever quiet when he NEEDS to be quiet-

Okay now for some Peppino and Gustavo together x] 💕💕💕

- Gustavo’s species has their own language but they can pick up on other languages pretty quickly, so when Peppino wanted to teach him Italian he started slowly and BAM 💥 not even a month passed and he’s speaking fluently! Peppino’s jaw dropped literally-

- Gus can speak his species language at times but only ever to himself.. He usually talks in English and Italian around Peppino (Gus when he’s angry talks really fast in his language, it’s best to just leave him be until he calms down…)

- They speak Italian to each other sometimes, they switch between English and Italian regularly, but they speak English mainly. They WILL however yell at each other in Italian, mostly so no one can understand their conversation if there is people around

- AND FINALLY- like I said with the Italian hand gestures, Peppino uses them A LOT, and he mainly uses them with the other Italians and Gustavo, BUT MAINLY Gustavo. He taught him every gesture in the book so Gus knows what he’s feeling just by hand gestures.

So I got back home after writing the essay and... the theme was from FUCKING "Crime and Punishment" ONE OF THE BOOKS I DON'T UNDERSTAND AND DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO REALLY TRY AND FOCUS TO UNDERSTAND

(Cutting bc it's me yapping AHHSSH)

Basically you get two "pokazna teksta" actually a small part of whatever part of the book they took it and they give a question like for example, "Why are these two characters sacrifice?" and you gotta also know about the author to write it in the introduction (ahaha Dostojevski sir I know you're Russian that's all 💀)

And now I actually think I missed the point of what they actually wanted me to write... and I somehow ended up with more than 440 words... so I had to quickly umm.. cross some sentences over because they take your points away if you have too little or too many words. So idk how many words I have, I just wanted to leave and I'm actually done a lot sooner 💀

But everyone gave each other the looks of "Not that fucking book😭" Please most of us wanted "Metamorphosis" by Franz Kafka or "Stranger" by Albert Camus cuz those are actually more interesting 😭

New record I'm on 2 hours of sleep, and I don't feel well. Maybe I should try to take a nap or actually get more hours of sleep today before I pass out randomly 💀

ahhhhhh, my guess is it'd be makarov! and this is why i think so💆🏻‍♀️ petra struggles a lot with her mind in the way that she knows he's the enemy, someone who's done questionable things to say the least. her loyalty to her team and righteousness refrains her from letting herself feel freely. makarov on the other hand as much of a ego he has he probably doesn't care as much as petra, he knows he shouldn't be feeling that way but he's not gonna fight as hard as her to deny it at some point, he's just a rebel man🫣🤭

also on a side note you're super amazing, the enthusiasm you show when replying to our asks is beyond heartwarming🩷 not many people give this much attention and respect to their replies you are splendid!✨

guess we’ll have to wait and see if your guess is right… i will say that you DO have petra’s reservations and makarov’s lack of reservation down to a T, though 😶

i wanted to make petra/reader a very “good” character – loyal, righteous, headstrong, and willing to do whatever it takes to “save” the world. she’s kind and fair, which are obviously ideal traits for someone in her field, but these traits can easily lead to self doubt and struggling with her actions, since she tries to see all sides of a situation and hunt for the “best” solution. gaz was my inspiration for some of this, as he’s another character that suffers with moral dilemmas on occasion.

petra is loosely based off my oc with the same codename (bravo 0-7 in my other fics, too), but this is, obviously, still intended to be a reader insert story. i’m trying to keep petra as much of a blank slate as possible for people to insert themselves into, but i feel like a reader who’s willing to do some questionable things for the sake of what’s best (like working with the enemy), but is still very righteous, is ideal for this series!

and aaaaaaa thank you!! 😭 you guys are so sweet, i don’t get how i’d reply with any less enthusiasm! it’s all the asks and love from the readers that motivate me to keep writing and, i’ll admit, i’ve almost cried a couple times over all the love you guys have given the series so far 🥹

i know this has been a super ramble-y response, but i also want to say that i know the update is taking a while (currently working on two higher priority fics and schoolwork lol), but i’ve got the next 5 or so chapters outlined, so there is plenty more coming 👀 y’all are gonna love chapters 9 and 10, that’s all i’ll say about those 🤭

I think there’s something so deeply and intimately and morbidly true about The Last of Us’s primary thesis which is that humanity’s fatal flaw, in that very Shakespearian way, is that we are destined to care too much about one another so much so that we discard the collective entirely. like we have such a capacity to love the human race and humanity as a whole, to grow our communities and govern cities how we know best and foster such connection with the masses which we are part of, but it’s overtaken by our capacity to love even just a single other person. like one human can come into your life that creates such an intrinsic and passionate love in you— or maybe two people or a family’s worth or any small number— and you suddenly would burn entire villages down just to keep them safe.

joel doesn’t blink twice murdering to find ellie. he doesn’t look back when he decides to do what he does at the hospital later on. he has no remorse about any of it it, because this one girl has grown to mean more to him than any possible greater good could ever mean. and it’s reciprocal. ellie would— and does— do anything she can to help him, save him, protect him, and, eventually, to avenge him. because that’s what you do when you love someone. not when you love people. when you love someone.

and it’s selfish, in a way??? because we love these people and would do so much for them because they mean more to us than other strangers do. it’s exactly like an iteration of the trolley problem, actually. one track has your daughter on it and one track has fifty people. don’t even try telling me you wouldn’t go onto track B if it meant saving your daughter and her puppy dog eyes from the whimpering and pain and fear. The Last of Us says yes, you would. I would. we all would. and like yeah that is our greatest weakness, that we have such a unique ability to love a handful of people so deeply that our compassion towards community and strangers and the bigger collective starts to slip from view. but goddamn what a fucking great fatal flaw it is to have. we are all going to die and the world will burn because we loved another person too much.

⚡️, pulling her head up: “Please smile more though, you look adorable when you smile.” *They pull at Jul’s cheeks affectionately, giggling.*

💫: “Ah, alright you big flirt! You really got no better work to do than to flatter people.” *She giggles, lightly slapping RF’s hands off her face.*

⚡️, flicking her head: “Heh, get used to it. Otherwise you’d die on the spot when Ashley does the same thing with you,” *They wiggles their eyebrows in mischief.*

💫: “Heyyy, you know that’s not true. She doesn’t like me.”

⚡️: “Ah, don’t put yourself down like that,” *He rolls his eyes.* She likes you, girl. She always keeps talking about you since the day we met at Christmas, and she gets flustered whenever you join in, and I’m not lying,” *He says, putting his hands up and crossing his fingers as if to swear on his heart.*

⚡️: “Now lighten up, bestie! We got a show, and we need our best songwriter to shake the stage!” *He exclaims in excitement, playfully nudging the songwriter, smiling.*

💫, nudging back: “Jeez, alright alright, I will!” *she shoves em playfully towards the front.* “Flatterer.”

⚡️: “I know I am,” *they bend down to faux-gentleman’s hat-tip, before shrugging casually.* “Well, not as much as Ashley, though. You usually have a stroke with her just complimenting you every morning,” *he adds, grinning like a Cheshire Cat on extra drugs.*
