Some of yall only learned about Hamilton through the musical and it shows
#never watched Hamilton the play but ive taken a college level us history class and have had discussions on this dude with my professors#im not an expert#but it annoys me so much whenever im in history spaces and some random ass Hamilton fan comes in#and think they know what they're talking about#dont get me wrong#the musical is not inaccurate it was a great way to get people to engage in history and subsequent discussions#but it spawned swams of fans that seemed to view the actual people as characters instead of the historical figures that they are#ive seen dicussions where people defend these people like they're their blorbo#despite the person they are defwnding being a really horrible person irl who owned slaves and activily wrote racist progaganda to stop#indentured servents from uprising together#like#theres also a bunch of other stuff#but ive already ranted in the tags#rant#sorry for that btw#Hamilton?#i dont want this to end up in the tag，but i need it for my blog
