i'm not gonna lie, i'm feeling a bit down about revolution. all of the matches rock and the wrestling is going to be fantastic but that main event is ruining the general excitement i get for ppvs. aside from the actual match not being super compelling to me, the outcomes just.. aren't interesting to me
if my favorite scapegoat turns on the elite and joins mox regardless if he accepts the help or not, it's going to be adding to the death riders story that i've been praying to end since november
if wheeler yuta turns, it (finally) adds something interesting to the death riders story. the opposing problem is that i don't want him to feud with mox or jack perry and i'm pretty sure bryan isn't returning until near all in, so i can't imagine that leads us anywhere as of right now
if jay white turns, he'll have to feud with adam copeland and the death riders story continues. notably, jay has beaten mox twice before, once in japan and on dynamite, so technically if the death riders stay gone, he could hypothetically beat mox for the world title at some point if he isn't occupied with cope. i wouldn't mind this but again, i personally don't want the death riders story lasting beyond dynasty but it is what it is
at the same time i'm also terrified jay white doesn't turn even though i prefer him babyface because if jack returns it'll be some weird tag like jack/mox vs cope/jay and i'd respectfully rather stick my hand into a blender than watch jack get beat up by somebody close to christian. i'd be happy to finally get jack vs cope though
genuinely the good outcome is christian successfully cashing in and winning the world title OR jay white stealing the contract to cash in
i just need that world title to come off mox so they can reset his current character and we can pretend the death riders didn't happen. revolution looks SO good aside from the main title match which is a shame because it's obviously main eventing over mariah/toni and hangman/mjf which are arguably better and more heated
here's to praying that regardless of what happens, my precious goat man comes back, jay doesn't look like a total geek and mox isn't champion anymore. happy revolution week!

🔴 short version
Arthur was turn in to a boy a birth by his mother who is part celestial being and has celestial magic one of the main reasons she did this is because she's mainly had daughters except for one time she did have a son , she turned Arthur into a boy
because King uther also wanted a male heir to take the throne Camelot had mainly been ruled by Queens throughout his run since its founding and he thought that having another male ear lead on the throne would be good for Camelot despite his
actions and things he's done he's hoping that maybe having his son take after him in certain ways despite his actions will help lead Camelot into a better future uuther never found out that Arthur was really born as female, only a small amount of
people in Camelot know about Arthur's birth and that he was really born female and
later on after Arthur gets chaos magic(when he's 17-19) from the Lady of the lake he undoes the layered seal that his mother had put on him by accident and realizes that he is female but chooses to stay in his male form because that's
what he's identified as throughout all of his life and chooses to continue to identify as male because that's what he wishes, he does however let the knights of the round table and several other people know about his true physical identity that he was born with like his mother he places seals on people so no one can reveal the truth about his identity to anyone
His name would have been Artemis Pendragon
Igrane doesn't like any of her kids really but she likes Arthur caz she feels she does have some control over him
🔴long version 🔴
Another part of my au Arthur was born a girl and in this version has many siblings, Arthur also is a quintuplet but his sisters were sent off to live with different relatives in another kingdom and Arthur's mother Igrane (she part human part celestial being similar to chaos) used magic to turn Arthur in to a boy (yes this is inspired by the wizard of ozma of Oz story with tip being ozma )
🌺
Arthur doesn't realize he a girl tell he's 17-19 only people new for years are a few older knights who worked for his father uther Pendragon
Igrane turn Arthur in to a boy for a few reasons, the main one being she I was given a prophecy about Arthur and in this prophecy Arthur is referred to as a king so she used her magic to do a layered seal over Arthur so he could be a boy ,this layered seal she used would keep Arthur physical form as a boy intact even if someone hit him with absolute cancel and would dispell after she pass away or if some how Arthur own magic dispells
Another reason she turned Arthur into a boy is because Camelot n my au has been run by queens for several decades and even the founder of Camelot was a female Queen and King uther is actually the first male king Camelot has had he wanted a male heir but igrane has manly only had daughters every time she ever has kids she only had a boy once be for
Uther doesn't now Arthur was born a girl but be some people in Camelot(are celestials or has celestial power) do know that Arthur was originally born a girl (the have a spell on them that doesn't let other now this truth) ,its all so help the ppl that
know identify him if he came back and somehow became king which in my au he's still becomes king the same way he pulls the sword from the stone but there's also another test they do to see if Arthur is uther's son/child a blood test on a magic seal that only works for people who have the Pendragon blood
Igrane left Camelot after Arthur and his sisters were born but at one point after Arthur gets taken by Merlin and they go traveling is also around the time King Arthur gets sick and everyone worries about
what will happen to the kingdom if he dies nights are sent to go look for Arthur's Foster father who Luther gave him to but they realize he died and that even his son doesn't know where Arthur went
because Arthur was just left alone in the slums by himself after the night died but he was only alone for a short time and after realizing that Arthur was gone at one point Arthur's mother does come back to Camelot and does have another child with King
Luther Arthur's younger sister named There caz they don't trust Igrane to properly raise Amara seeing how she's treated her other children in the past,
At one point in time Arthur is found along with Merlin and that's when they find out about the succession that became and they go back to Camelot and that's where Arthur pulls the sword
And it's years later after Arthur forms the knights of the round table and he unlocks a celestial power that part chaos and part celestial magic that he gets from his mother Igrane , that he undoes a magical seal that was put on him by accident and that's when he learns he's actually a girl
The only people who now after Arthur figures out that he's actually a girl and had a magical seal placed on him are the 25 nights of the round table the few nights and people in luthers court and and the kingdom that knew of Arthur's birth his two sisters Amara and Morgana/Morgan
And just like with his mother Arthur puts a seal on everyone and a memory seal so they can't reveal a secret about his true about him

EVERY REASON (that i can think of) AS TO WHY TURBO/KING CANDY IS NEURODIVERGENT 💥💥
Tumblr media
i would like to make a disclaimer first and foremost about the obvious, being that Turbo/King Candy is heavily implied to have narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) and antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). Very often, characters with these disorders are portrayed as villains, and Turbo is no exception to this. There's nothing wrong with antagonistic characters having said disorders, per se, but when the only representation available for people with these conditions are found in characters you're not supposed to root for, it can be really disheartening. i won't be erasing these parts of him because i feel it would be in poor taste to gloss over those core elements of who he is, but plz keep in mind that having any kind of personality disorder doesn't make anyone inherently evil!!!🌞 your ACTIONS make you, not your brain
Tumblr media
Also if anyone has any suggestions or other ideas for his neurodiversity, i would love to hear them! please do share!! I LOVE PSYCHOANALYZING CHARACTERS AND HEARING OTHER PEOPLE PSYCHOANALYZE THEM !!!! YAY🎉 if u agree or disagree with any of my points I'd love to discuss them further :-]
Tumblr media
without further ado... click read more to find out…😈 be ready for a lot of reaches
Tumblr media
💥 ADHD 💥
STIMMING
Turbo's constantly moving around in some way; he's a very expressive character! even as King Candy, he can't seem to conceal his frequent giggling. it's a big habit of his; he seems to do it involuntarily to regulate himself, including when he's nervous or uncomfortable.
he seems to display other repetitive behaviors as well, like doing his iconic thumbs-up pose, sticking out his tongue, or hopping around gleefully. he is but a jovial court jester..
i personally like to think that his phrases, "Turbo-tastic!" and "Have some candy!" are vocal stims of his, although i equally really love the interpretation that these (and the aforementioned stims) are tics :-]
another headcanon; i think it would make a lot of sense for him to have an oral fixation of some sort (ignoring the whole sigmund freud part of the term ermm...); just lots of biting, chewing, needing to have something in his mouth. It would align with the whole idea that he smokes, too
HYPERACTIVITY
we can clearly see throughout the film that Turbo has a lot of energy, made abundantly clear by his mannerisms and general behavior. he's constantly moving, using exaggerated expressions and gestures to communicate + express himself. He's one of the most animated and bouncy characters in the movie, next to Vanellope! it's silly how a character not very grounded in reality is such a threat, but i suppose that's what makes him so threatening in the first place...
another factor in this is how he is very adrenaline-seeking, craving activities that give him a rush (sugar rush...😂😂). more on that in a bit!!
HYPERFIXATION
Turbo's fixation with winning is all-consuming for him; it's an obsession. he doesn't appear to care about much else, if anything besides it. this could be interpreted as a hyperfixation for him (or special interest if ur all about that autism lifestyle), as it overtakes all of his focus and impedes every process of his mind.
it's clear that racing is much more than a passion for him, and while that fact is due to how he was programmed, it's a major character trait of his regardless that could be correlated to neurodivergence.
HYPERFOCUS
There seems to be a big theme of "all or nothing" when it comes to Turbo. he will either be fully dedicated to something or brush it aside without a second thought. it can't be denied that he fully wraps himself up in what he wants, whether it's a conflict he can't let go of or a new pursuit he's hungrily chasing after.
ultimately, his dedication varies depending on if it is relevant to him and his interests or not, but this aspect of him still shares patterns with neurodivergent thought processes.
INSTANT GRATIFICATION
Seeing as he has a tendency to cheat in his use of code to spawn in whatever his heart desires, it can be assumed that this could do with Turbo wanting instant gratification to fill that bitter, empty void inside of him. while this could simply be brushed aside as greed and his belief that he is obligated to have access to whatever he wants, this trait is consistent with his generally dopamine-seeking behavior and wanting to be instantly rewarded by his actions. His obsession with needing to feel good directly relates to his need for another buzz, constantly after the next rush. (a sugar rush if you will☺☺☺)
ADRENALINE-SEEKING
Closely related to the previous speculation, Turbo always seems to be chasing his next high. he loves the thrill of action and being surrounded by crowds of people below him. it's why his big thing is racing! people cheer him on, he can do whatever he wants, he can go really fast and look cool..
it's possible that a big aspect of why he does this is to distract himself from any kind of pain, because pain = vulnerability. bro does NOT know how to independently cope with his own problems.. HE MAD AS HELLLLL!!! 😂😂
STRUGGLE WITH SELF CARE
(i know this is reaching but bear with me... 🐻) going off of his appearance and tendency to make poor decisions, it can be gathered that this man lacks skill in the self care department. his yellowing teeth and sunken eyes not only serve to complement his design, but also give way to the idea that he neglects himself in favor for whatever weird scheme he's up to.
of course, Turbo does prioritize himself above everyone else, but he doesn't strike me as the type to care much about how others think he smells. him being a bother to anyone isn't a concern of his. he cares about whatever gets him the most praise and attention from as many people as possible, which is winning and racing. Who cares about how clean he is when he's up on a podium holding a shiny, golden trophy, anyway?
It's likely that he had to step his game up when he went under disguise as king candy, which is why he looks well-groomed in comparison to his more corpse-like appearance. Ugly hoe. it can also be assumed that he's had more time to focus on himself because everyone loves him without question... Well, except for Vanellope, but who cares about her, right?
also, i know he makes a condescending comment to Ralph about how bad his breath smells, but it's made abundantly clear that Turbo is a massive hypocrite. his comment doesn't erase the possibility that he has suffered from such "halitosis" as well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
💥 ANXIETY 💥
GENERAL ANXIOUS BEHAVIOR
i know, i know, this could technically be chalked up to be "Turbo is nervously giggling and shit because he's scared of getting caught," but guys. g
even in the flashback scene, we can see how easily stressed he can become in an alarmingly short period of time. he is extremely insecure, therefore i am led to believe he is not only emotionally dysregulated, but also by extension, anxiety ridden.
yes, this is purely speculative, but who's to say that he wasn't like this before? being high-strung and intense are significant facets of his personality consistently portrayed throughout the film. as long as he is getting exactly what he wants, he is happy; the moment he loses even a blip of control, however, he immediately grows extremely tense.
if Turbo wasn't anxious about his disguise as King Candy before, he was anxious about how much attention he was receiving on a given day. if not that, then he'd be anxious over how he presents himself. He hates how he can't control how other people perceive him, which is why he is constantly trying to act like he's better than he is.
its why he justifies his behavior to himself, proudly making others refer to him as the "rightful ruler" of sugar rush and relishing in the attention of his countless underlings. Any secure and stable person would NOT ACT LIKE THIS!!!!😭😭😭
FIGHT OR FLIGHT
As we can see a handful of times on screen, Turbo's instinct to protect himself is very easily activated.
his fear manifests in anger and aggression. we can see at multiple points how easy it is to upset him or fluster him; his anger is one side of the same coin, the opposite end being his fear and paranoia.
Going off of this point, have you noticed that Turbo is either satisfied or furious without much of an in-between? how the second something isn't under his manipulation, he lashes out and fights back? I'm led to believe that this is how he responds to fear (AAUAAYAUUUUGGHHH 🐡🐡🐡🐡🐡🐡🐡). This guy is so against the idea of being vulnerable, that even when afraid, he will utilize violence to regain his dominance over the situation at hand.
CONTROL + PARANOIA
Turbo's always trying to writhe or fight his way out of uncomfortable situations, unable to exist outside of his comfort zone for seconds at a time.
his defensive, paranoid, and controlling behavior are all reflections of how deeply insecure this man is. He feels such an intense need for everything to go exactly how he expects it to go that the moment he senses any kind of threat, he instantly jumps to defend himself and what he feels that he has "earned," regardless of whether there truly is a threat or not.
this could potentially be a coping mechanism for his anxiety and sense of stability; can't forget to mention how territorial he is!! he jumps to conclusions about what others' intentions are before they even get a chance to reply, as seen with his first encounter with Ralph in the movie.
the racer is so internally discombobulated that he seeks any sense of stability on his environment, including on those around him. his sense of self is so warped that he copes with constant distraction; being under the spotlight, being actively racing, having to be showered with attention, having others make him feel good because he doesn't know how to do it for himself. he needs to feel like everything is under control, lest everything falls apart.
"...if there's ONE thing I can't abide, it's ANYTHING out of order!"
Tumblr media
💥 NPD 💥
INFLATED SENSE OF SELF IMPORTANCE
Turbo's most in-your-face trait above all else. It's made more than crystal clear in every scene he's in that his arrogance is a determining factor in how he interacts with others. This is exactly what drives him to desperately crave admiration, to chase after others he's envious of because he thinks he is obligated to take what they have.
he seems to genuinely think he is entitled to get whatever he wants, just because he is inherently "special" or "better" than everyone else. Why else would he have made himself a king, a step above princess?
EXCESSIVE NEED FOR ADMIRATION
Turbo's self worth is COMPLETELY dependent on the opinions of children and teenagers. I think i don't need to say any more than that, but i will. (Evil).
As cartoonishly massive as his ego is, i think that it's fair to assume that Turbo has a very unstable sense of self, distorting his perception of his own worth down with it. his near-constant flaunting and need to be the best is a dead giveaway to his deeply-ridden self-doubt. The foundation of his stability is built around how "good" he is (at racing and winning), how powerful he is, whether or not he is being prioritized above everyone else, whether or not he is the absolute best, etc. etc.
The racer outright manipulates others to shower him with admiration and undeserved appreciation. He is incapable of forming a true sense of internal value, instead heavily and codependently relying on others to form it for him. if he isn't the best, he may as well just be nothing.
INTENSE JEALOUSY
He reacts so severely to what he perceives as others taking away what is rightfully his that it only goes to solidify my previous points even further. the second someone else is getting more attention than him, Turbo will bend over backwards to rip back the praise he believes he so rightly deserves.
being extremely competitive, he will one-up against anyone he thinks of as a threat, dedicating himself to taking them down to the best of his ability, and making sure they STAY down to top it all off.
INABILITY TO HANDLE CRITICISM
if we really dissect the entire one-off joke with Turbo insisting that his stolen pink castle is actually "salmon," along with all of his other domineering behaviors, we can garner that he is very persistent in how he wants others to view him. i wholeheartedly believe that this would translate into him not only being defensive over his supposed "ownership" of Sugar Rush, but also over himself and his own insecurities.
He needs to feel good about himself or else he will die and quite literally try to kill everyone.
LACK OF EMPATHY
He appears to have a fondness for making jokes in very poor taste. Turbo has a big sense of humor, but it's always at the expense of others. Be it a pun about a "fungeon," or jumping to protect himself with a joke about "hitting a guy with glasses," he has a tendency to take serious situations very lightly. It's not that he's unaware of the weight of it; he simply doesn't take it Seriously.
its admittedly impressive how he was able to feign empathy so well for Ralph; it goes to show how he is very capable of understanding that what he's doing is wrong, but ultimately does nothing to change his behavior because it doesn't impact him personally.
i would like to honor this part of him, because even in the possible alternate path of a redemption arc, his struggle with empathy can be explored in a variety of interesting ways :-] he can understand complicated emotions and situations on an analytical level, but he doesn't feel for them unless it has to do with him specifically. (this obviously doesn't make him inherently evil, his ACTIONS make him evil)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
💥 ASPD 💥
LACK OF REMORSE/GUILT
One of Turbo's core characteristics is just how far he is willing to go for his own self-interest with lack of regard for how it impacts everyone else. he has absolutely no concern for how anyone else feels besides himself, willing to go so far as to attempt to mutilate a 9-year-old to achieve his petty goals.
Turbo is shameless when it comes to how he goes about getting his way. While I'd like to believe he isn't fully incapable of feeling regret, he doesn't showcase feeling it in the movie itself. The most regret he'll feel is when he slips up and exposes himself. anything else is the fault of everyone else; he is untouchable in his eyes.
DECEITFUL TENDENCIES + LYING
Where do i even start with this one.
well, first of all, let's acknowledge the... erm, horse? in the room? 🐎😅(Please someone help me there is a horse in my room help helphel) being that Turbo went under disguise as King Candy for at least a decade. Even before this, there's a good chance that he's already had plenty of experience with lies and manipulation. i'd be willing to bet on this!!
one of his specialties is being proficient in manipulation, be it the code of games or the minds of people. theyre basically the same thing to him, anyway... I'm sure you all know the scene where he uses 16 manipulation tactics against Ralph and wins. this was Obviously not the first time he'd done this.
REPETITION OF HARMFUL BEHAVIORS
Time and time again, Turbo can't seem to help himself when it comes to poor decision-making. he never internalizes that his bad choices aren't JUST bad for others, but also for himself, continuing to escalate further and further into very dangerous behaviors until he literally dies.
Here's a list of bad decisions he has made! (at least, that we know of)
Pinning himself above his peers
Harassment + stalking
Carelessly charging through GCS with his car, endangering countless civilians
Attempting to take over a game that isn't his x2
Vehicular manslaughter
Implied mass murder + attempted murder, attempted mutilation
Mass endangerment
Breaking and entering, theft, usurpation, plagiarism
and more!!!!!!!
AND HE LEARNS FROM ABSOLUTELY NONE OF THIS!!! with some of the items listed here, he's attempted to do multiple times! Absolute buffoon.
RECKLESS DISREGARD FOR SAFETY OF SELF AND OTHERS
Considering how he was willing to charge into a game that wasn't his own with the awareness that it could permanently kill him, going as far as to recklessly crash into another car (albeit it's possible this was unintentional), it's easy to gather that he doesn't seem to consider anyone's safety at all in the spur of the moment.
IMPULSITIVITY
his impulsivity and disregard for safety both go hand-in-hand. When it gets to a certain point, Turbo's emotions will boil over and blow up in a cold rage, thus causing him to spiral and act on impulse, becoming a detrimental force to himself as well as everyone around him.
What's interesting is how much restraint he is capable of; he typically is very strategic in how he orchestrates his plans! but once he reaches his breaking point, he snaps and leaves all of his hard work behind in favor of something that calls for his immediate attention.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
💥 ETC. 💥
extra tidbits i didnt have enough energy to fully delve into :-]
BPD
Fear of abandonment
Blurry sense of identity
Feelings of emptiness
Self destructive tendencies
Emotional instability
Explosive anger
ODD (oppositional defiant disorder)
He seems so infatuated with his own autonomy that he gets to the point of being resistant and defiant
Resisting against the rules of the world that he directly caused as a result of his own actions, being that one shouldn't "go Turbo."
Enjoys upsetting/getting a rise out of others. this is more speculative as i am going off of the assumption that he thinks pissing people off is funny, based on his other behavioral patterns. (cruel sense of humor, wanting to feel above others via control & manipulation, enjoyment of inflicting pain onto others)
Forcefully defends himself and refuses any kind of criticism
Lashes out when he feels slighted
Excessive persistence despite all odds, whether it's beneficial to him or not
Tumblr media Tumblr media
ok bye!! thank you if you managed to read this far ^^ peace and love take care of yourself! all in all turbo is so neurodivergent ok please Okay <3 get this thing his meds

I spent like all of today reading through book 6 cuz I needed a mental break today, which means I have completely finished this first arc!!
Thoughts on book 6 first:
As... Should be obvious from how quickly I finished it, I really liked this one. This book wasn't plagued with any of the pacing problems that the other ones had, and both the heartbreak and the victories felt well-placed and hard-earned.
The twist with Tigerstar in the third act was spoiled for me, unfortunately, but I think it still had the intended effect. It is kind of an anticlimax for his character? But I feel like it was a fitting end.
The ending itself was very satisfying. It feels like it ties together the story so far, which is... Incredibly tricky given how all over the place the series has felt. But it manages to pull it off, and it does so in a way that makes it feel purposeful. It's a very strong ending.
Now, onto the series as a whole...
I'm gonna start with what I liked, because there is a lot to like!!
I think the idea of the clans is relatively well thought out; how the different environments shape the kind of cats there, what kind of food they're likely to hunt and the difficulties they'll face, the various characters we meet... It does really feel like a setting one could sink their claws into and never really let go, and given how frequently the clans change loyalties and how quickly the cats grow up it seems really easy to fit your own characters into.
I also think the naming conventions are interesting!! How clan names are chosen, the way they change as a warrior develops, the unique terms for illnesses and the seasons and other common things. Fresh kill in particular has entered my vocabulary and stuck there cuz it's just such a good descriptor in my head.
I do love the focus on, like, legacy that the series has? With this focus on growth from kit to apprentice to warrior, and how important teaching the next generation is. It also ties in really well with the passing of the seasons; no matter what else is going on, the seasons march on, bringing their own challenges and forcing the cats to adapt to them.
I definitely fell in love with a lot of the characters, as well? The interpersonal relationships and how they grow and change, as well as how they don't, really breathe life into the world. From what I've seen, I'd say that Cinderpelt and Sandstorm are my favorites, but I also ended up falling in love with Greystripe and Silverstream's doomed romance, as well as Bluestar's quiet compassion.
I like the way Starclan is handled; they feel present the entire time without disrupting the tension or providing an answer. The messages from Starclan always feel like a mystery to be solved, which makes them engaging and kept me guessing.
The kitties are a lot of fun to draw, unsurprisingly; I still might make more art, if only for fun, and I'm really happy with how Bayflower turned out. I have a Warriors OC now and I wouldn't give her up for the world x3
That said, no series is perfect, and this one was... Kind of a bumpy ride. Lots of ups and downs. The clans beyond Thunderclan aren't very fleshed out beyond their like, broad characteristics and the few characters from them we meet directly, quite often the story feels aimless and things come together either too late or not at all. There's a fair bit of fatphobia and ableism in it. The villains in particular aren't very fleshed out; they only get to be a complex character until they've chosen their side.
The biggest thing that frustrated me though, is how inconsistent the series is. Some of these books were excellent, others were frustrating, and most fell somewhere in the middle, with moments that I absolutely loved compared with moments where I got so bored or frustrated I had to put down the book for a bit.
I'm not surprised by this? It's very common with long running book series, especially ones with multiple writers. But it still made me really unsure of what to think and made the experience less enjoyable overall.
Given how many books this series has, and how bumpy the ride has been so far, I think that this is where I get off. It's been an enjoyable time, and I'm very glad to have read the series, but there's A LOT of books and I don't feel comfortable committing to them after my experience with this first arc. I'm sure there are gems in there, but I don't feel like digging for them.
That said, if you have a particular book you think I should read, or an arc I should skip to so I don't miss out on a character you love, now's your chance to tell me!! I'm not averse to reading more in this setting, I just don't want to commit to the whole series.
Overall, this was a great time, and I'm glad that I read this first arc. There's a lot to love here, and I no longer feel lost or confused by the kitty references, which is great!! I can like. Get some of the jokes, and watch animatics without being completely lost, which is ESPECIALLY a boon. I adore fan animations they are the COOLEST thing.

Library found their copy
So it's time to do this!! If I enjoy my time I'll keep reading, but I make no promises.

I find it a little funny how much the Deltarune fandom has disconnected the Player from us, basically treating the concept of “the player” as it’s own character. Is this how Flowey felt?
i mean, from my perspective, isn’t it kind of encouraged? we start out the game by making an avatar, even if it gets discarded. we play the game as the soul, not kris, and our presumed role in the game is to literally look into a window of a different world and play the game. our existence as a player is crucial to deltarune’s story
i think with all of that, its understandable that different interpretations of how the soul behaves would pop up — established beings with personalities can only be described as Characters, at least to me. a lot of player interpretations ive seen are actively brought to life by people’s thoughts and feelings about the game, they dont just come out of nowhere.
ive said it before, but my particular player-character more so represents the kind of player that treats the world as if its fictional (i.e. they dont care about hurting a character’s feelings or something like that, they just want to see what happens). despite this, the characters are still interesting, so they shamelessly poke and prod and pick them apart to try to understand what’s going on in their heads. (a lot of them comes from my own attitudes actually, which maybe makes sense from the different scenarios i put them in. what i do is literally what my player does.)
it’s like, personifying the force that pushes kris and noelle into the weird route, which makes sense because there’s some weird Being with impossible motives controlling kris. what do we want, and what do they want? i think its too interesting to NOT explore…

I've been saving this but I can't take it anymore... your art is super cool!! I love the drawing style you have, especially the lines and expressions. Also the dynamic poses and interactions between characters, everything looks so cute but at the same time exciting to keep watching!! I would read a whole manga with your art in it :3
Curious question: what size are your drawings normally? I see that you draw in pencil and many times there is more than one drawing on a single canvas/sheet so I am curious to know approximately the size of your drawings
I hope you don’t mind me using your ask to say this, but…you guys have no idea how much your kindness and positivity has affected me since I started posting my CotL stuff.
I’ve had anxiety since I was a kid, and depression for almost a decade now, and most recently been diagnosed with ADHD and OCD. I’ve had the most lows in my life over the past few years, and my consistency and drive to draw has suffered for it; at most, I’ve posted every other week, but mostly once every couple of months, and even longer than that until now. Being on medication has affected my motivation to draw, and I’ve been on short-term disability for over a month now, trying out new medications and feeling mostly miserable from the side effects.
Despite all that, I’ve wanted truly to finally be consistent with art, interact with people, try new things, and it’s helped so much to have so many people loving the things I’ve come up with. I haven’t been as consistent this last week, and spotty some weeks before that, but you’ve all been so patient despite that, which is part of the reason I want to give you some transparency and vulnerability on my part.
So I apologize if things continue to be a little less than organized or consistent, but I’m going to keep trying my best everyday, because I want to keep bringing you things you enjoy and want to interact with, so…thank you. 🥹
But getting to your question before I really start to tear up…this 9x12 sketchbook by Strathmore (specifically the recycled paper) is what I’ve been using for my sketches for a long while:
Tumblr media
And it typically depends on how big or small I think each of the drawings should be, but I do try to keep them on one page if I can just for organizations’s sake.
Tumblr media
Also if I know I need to post it from my phone, I try to make things easier for myself by putting things within proximity of each other with my phone’s camera in mind (not the whole page because it’ll be blurry, up and down since that’s easier for me to take a shot with, and so on).
If I’m gonna scan it, that makes things a bit easier, but I do try to condense them enough so I can try and avoid doing two scans of the same page and having to stitch them together (this one below just ended up taking the whole page, and since most scanners - my roommate’s included - usually only scan Letter or A4 size areas, those I end up having to scan on multiple parts and edit them together in Clip Studio Paint).
Tumblr media
But of course, it all comes down to what feels right or works with your own method the best (as long as you achieve the outcome you wanted, the tools and method to get there don’t necessarily have to be the “best” or “right” way to do it).
I hope this helps, though, and that you have a brilliant day~✨

Okay, a bit of a Diavolo analysis/deep dive/theories:
WARNING: Spoilers
We know vaguely of his origins: born in a women's prison to a woman who was pregnant for two years (I wish we had a fucking explanation for that one 😭😭), adopted out to a priest and spent his childhood in Sardegna.
Here's where the waters start to get muddy (already):
So, going off of the anime, we know that both Doppio and Diavolo were present from birth, with Doppio at least being the host for that scene and possibly for longer in his life. We also know that around 18 is when the two burned their home village down, so Diavolo was probably at least present for that.
We don't know when their mother was buried in the floor, nor for how long (nor how the hell he even managed to do that). But what we do know is that King Crimson implies in the first Bucciarati fight that, like Spice Girl and Trish, he and Diavolo have been representations of each other since birth.
Diavolo/Doppio's violent streak could have started when King Crimson manifested. If we take what Bruno told Trish to heart, he was probably a "regular guy" until he formed Passione around 18... Coincidentally that's also when he burned down his village. That's also an approximate time where King Crimson could have manifested.
Think about it: Diavolo (or Doppio) got behind the priest REALLY fast and really quietly when he found Dia's mother in the floor. Who says that couldn't have been the work of King Crimson?
Another thing... We don't know who gave Doppio his name (Vinegar), whether it be his mother or the priest. However, 'Doppio' may possibly be the last name of the priest that Vinegar was given upon adoption. And because of the naming scheme I doubt anyone really knew of Diavolo unless HE was the one originally named 'Vinegar' or something. I say this because I refuse to believe a fucking priest would name his child after the devil.
So, my theory and personal headcanon is: Doppio was/is the host, and once he and Diavolo were more or less the same. However, a specific event (possibly KC's manifestation or fatherhood or what have you) exacerbated their mental illnesses and the two fully branched off and evolved separately but simultaneously into two different individuals sharing the same body. I'm not going by exact symptoms of DID because this is obviously a fantasy interpretation of it and therefore not scientifically accurate.
So, Diavolo was always there but didn't become the dominant alter until some unspecified event.
Now, let's put Diavolo/Doppio's existence in context with real world events:
They were born in the 1960s, about 20-ish years after the end of WWII, during the Cold War, and grew up during the "Years of Lead" (Anni di Piombo) conflict in Italy. Not to mention there were A LOT of conflicts globally during the 60s and 70s. This means they were also only children when mutually assured destruction from atomic weapons became a real fear. This was an extremely difficult time to grow up in
Apollo 11 Mission and space exploration
Berlin Wall and more conflict in Europe
Introduction of colored TV to Italy in 1977 (holy shit bro watched TV in black and white) which causes a lot of political controversy
Italy is still involved in Communism during the 60s and 70s
Sardegna is only granted regional autonomy in 1948
Sardegna's environment suffered greatly during WWII and became a theatre of bombing, which, as we all know, that regional trauma trickles down even after it ends
Much like most of the world during the 60s and 70s, mental illness is heavily stigmatized and very little help and resources are out there
Okay, now so we've established a little bit of cultural context, it's easier to see in a broader sense that Doppio and Diavolo's upbringing was a very stressful time for a lot of people.
Let's get into Diavolo specifically:
I really like Diavolo's character and how he's written as a villain. Unlike Kira where the suspense comes from the fact that we KNOW what he's capable of, know the protagonists are in danger, and they don't, Diavolo is extremely interesting because we know just about as much as the protagonists do.
He's impulsive but also pragmatic, he's vicious but also a coward, he's bloodthirsty but also knows when to pick his battles, he's ruthless but can come off as extremely supportive when it benefits him, he dresses like a scene rave queen but he is extremely intelligent, uses a vast vocabulary, and is obviously a very successful businessman.
He is a complete contradiction of his own character at any given moment and I think that constant addition to an already mysterious guy really works for him. Do I think this is a poor/inconsistent writing choice by Araki? No. Definitely not. I think it is a writing choice that makes such an untouchable guy like Diavolo feel very human.
Because, at the end of the day, even the most evil people are human. They make mistakes, they contradict themselves, they have regrets, they don't always win. Despite how fantastical and unrealistic Diavolo is he still feels like a person.
And the thing is, Diavolo's defeat also feels very human. His own hubris, cowardice, impulsiveness, and paranoia got in his way. If he had really played things smart and didn't come after Polnareff things wouldn't have ended the way they did but he had unfinished business with Polnareff. He had a grudge, and the need to tie up any loose ends was the nail in his coffin. He was so antsy because his guards were all being defeated by the Bucciarati mob, and the most formidable of La Squadra, Risotto, was on his tail as well.
Diavolo was being attacked on all sides and his reckless, paranoid decision to step out of the shadows to handle things himself as quickly as possible was the beginning of the end.
He had a genuine reason to fear Risotto and he knew this. Diavolo knew Risotto's track record, that he had never failed an assassination, and he ALREADY had Risotto on a tight leash because of Sorbet and Gelato. And now he was Risotto's next target. You can hear the panic and stress in his voice during the Metallica Arc when he's trying to get Doppio to focus on the battle.
Not to mention he also had a reason to fear Abbacchio and Moody Blues, which is why he took his chance and snuffed him out before he could finish the replay (even though he didn't stick around long enough to see that he did). Diavolo was in a highly populated area with Aerosmith flying overhead and several injuries but he still took a chance and killed Abbacchio because he had to. In his mind it was the most obvious quick end to this whole ordeal, or at least, it would buy him time.
When we begin to really see Diavolo after his transformation and reveal, we start to see more sides of him. His propensity to panic, how desperate he gets, his rage, his frustration, his mood swings and boisterous side, and finally, his existential fear. And his crumbling downfall feels extremely real because his arrogance caused him to fail, and Giorno just took advantage of that. Diavolo was always going to end up getting himself defeated because his character is made up of fatal flaws.
And let's also talk about his rage some more:
Throughout all of the battles, up until the final one, Diavolo was self-assured and therefore calm throughout these conflicts, even if he was frustrated and annoyed. But during the final battle he becomes genuinely angry and we can see that in how his fighting style becomes more desperate, more sloppy, and less efficient (and also because he literally says "Now, I'm angry!" 😭). His anger came from a place of fear, not annoyance. And I think that was a beautiful writing choice.
His Punishment:
I think Diavolo's punishment was too harsh, and I'm not just saying that as a Diavolo fan. I think most people don't deserve punishment for ETERNITY, because, in a scenario where they're conscious of their punishment the whole time (like Diavolo and Kars), they would eventually have to repent, change, and be broken down into shells of their former selves. And after years and years of torture, they probably would be unrecognizable when compared to the evil people they were before hand. Diavolo was a very sick man that, yes, while he did very horrible things and hurt people, still needed genuine help. No regular jail could hold him, and he needed a great punishment to fit his crimes, so like, maybe a few deaths in the death loop. Like, after 100 excruciating deaths and psychological torture I think he'd probably become a new man if you gave him the chance 😭 He's evil but he's not stupid.
I just think an eternity of 'deaths-but-not-deaths' (or purgatory) is harsh. Especially for an already mentally fractured individual.
I mean, DIO stayed being evil but bro got a quick and easy death in comparison. Ykw I mean?
Design:
Okay, let's finally talk about Diavolo's design because I truly do love it. The only real comment we have from Araki about his design is about his hair. Araki stated that he wanted to give Diavolo "leopard spots" in his hair because it felt punk.
That's right, people. Those are supposedly leopard spots.
Which I think is very cool and very scene queen.
I also think, like his personality, Diavolo's design is a complete contradiction of him and it works.
You expect a Don to be decked out in the finest suits, with the cleanest look and sensible hair.
Well, that's what we were made to expect too, based on his appearance before the final battle. But then...
BAM!
Araki hits us with the revealing, pretty pink raver we know today. Not only is it just very JoJo-esque, but it makes Diavolo that much more mysterious and unpredictable.
Not to mention, Araki purposefully designed him to be androgynous, which I love as an androgynous person.
Overall, his design is not only appealing but just very cool. And I think it overall made Diavolo more interesting, gorgeous, and memorable as a character.
Alright, that's all I really have for this installment of 'I'm overthinking about a fictional character again'. Thanks for reading if anyone even made it down here 😭
Bye

we all need to get together and collectively say “thank you danai gurira” because she did michonne a beautiful justice in this episode
in all the episodes, truly, but especially this one
in the mothership, michonne was incredibly strictly the “badass” character. she was always on go, ready to do the next thing, very rarely did she have vulnerability and softness to her character
this is so so SO common for black women in tv, especially darkskin black women. in this episode, we truly get to breakdown all the shit she went through, especially during her pregnancy, and see her be sad and hurt and all these “soft” emotions about it.
in the main show, it was instantly shown as “oh this thing made michonne into a hardass and she was super strict and mean,” but we never got to her feel any other way about it, or literally any trauma of hers in the show.
in this episode she gets to be open about those events, as well as verbally express the hurt she’s experiencing from rick by him pushing her away like it’s nothing. that is, hands down, my favorite part of this episode.
michonne becomes a full fledged character in this episode, to me. she cries, she gets mad, shes understanding, shes understood, she’s funny, she’s protective, she’s vulnerable, she’s in love, she’s openly loved in returned. she is shown as a real person. and that? that is more beautiful than any scene i’ve ever watched in the entirety of the walking dead.

Hope this isn’t an off-putting question, but do like being more dependent on mobility aids now that you’ve reached a certain size or is it something you’ve had to accept?
Both, kinda?
I'm a very independant person (to a fault, based on past experiences) and can be very stubborn about admitting when I need help. And the greater the degree of "help" I need, the more I'll fight myself to admit needing it. This can also result in a lot of internalized shame/embarassment that I need to wrestle with when it comes to being percieved using an aid or recieving help. I'm trying to work on it, promise. Haha.
All that to say, any time I need an aid because of my weight I usually have to wrestle with myself to accept it. I've been chewing on the idea of getting a cane for a long while. Honestly, I should've been using one as-needed for years now because I have fucked up legs (non-weight related) but that's a story for another time.
On the gaining side of the things though, I do like it and find it very hot. I take it as a sign that I've passed into an entirely new category of fatness, and feeling "burdened" by my heft is something I find deeply hot and fulfilling for a variety of reasons. I enjoy being teased about needing a cane too, or otherwise just having it seen as a factor of my size now. And it just makes me feel Big and Heavy in general, and I always love that.
And also the fact that I'm only going to have to rely on it more and more as I grow? Woof...

A Third Song in the Night
SO, the perfect Rukhana song (in my mind at least) could not be found in my music library. I really wanted a piece that was confident and centered around grief, anger and emotional detachment, (sort of like a Sylvia Plath poem or something) but I just couldn’t find the perfect mix. (Also since I know I you listen to Kiki Rockwell I think I was intimidated lol. Kiki is very much in line with artists I listen to so I wanted to find a really good one.)
ANYWAYS, instead I went for a slightly fluffier “Lisel writes a song about how she sees Rukhana.” I hope this isn’t weird! In the non-RRAU this is a song I made Lisel write about Neve but for the RRAU I thought Rukhana would be a cute inspiration! A little non consequential & unrequited crush. Once again- hope that’s alright!
@curiouswisp : Rukhana, mischievously delighted and curious, flattened herself against the wall outside the door to listen. Flattering or otherwise, she bit the inside of her cheek to stop her smirk as she waited for more.
It was evening when Lisel had begun practicing the song, the sun still shining and the hustle and bustle of the lighthouse still ongoing. Judging from the halfway melted candles and the stillness of her surroundings, Lisel assumed it was past midnight now. A disappointing realization considering that she felt as if hardly any progress had been made.
Lisel groaned as she stopped playing and took a moment to center herself. It was silly really, staying up half the night just to perfect a song that Rukhana would never hear. Yet, the urge was there and Lisel knew herself well enough to recognize that it certainly wasn’t leaving anytime soon.
The song was among the most difficult she’d written so far, likely because the subject seemed particularly good at hiding parts of herself. Initially coming off as a libertine of sorts, charismatic and brave. She played the part well, there was no argument against that, although Lisel knew people were hardly ever their true selves in public. Lisel certainly wasn’t.
She hadn’t initially meant to spend so much time observing her, the two had simply been in the same parts of the lighthouse on a few occasions, but after a while, Lisel began to take every opportunity to pass by and steal a glance at her. It was embarrassing to admit, but ultimately, Lisel reasoned, at least it had led to the creation of a song.
“Maybe once I finish it I’ll be able to toss the whole notion out of my head.” Lisel sighed, “guess I can take solace knowing that Rukhana won’t hear it either way, so getting perfect doesn’t really matter.”
She picked up the bass again, straightened her posture, and began:
Magnolia
She could have anyone in the world
Floats around town in a golden gown
Born in a castle on a cloud
Magnolia
Prettiest girl that I know
Stars in her eyes
Handpicked from the skies
Beautiful soul
How can I compete with her?
Perfection is the only word
I think of when I think of Magnolia
She doesn't know that the world
is turning just for her
I wish I could be Magnolia
Magnolia
She can move oceans and rivers with ease
A word from her lips
Her sirens kiss
Will send you straight into abyss
Magnolia
I wish she'd give her secrets away
Enchants everyone
A I think it'd be fun
To be like her someday
But I cannot compete with her
Perfection is the only word
I think of when I think of Magnolia
She doesn't know that the world
is turning just for her
I wish I could be Magnolia
A small smile broke across Lisel’s face.
“There we go! That was it.” She said proudly as she leaned backwards against the pillows on her bed. She hummed with excitement for a moment before swinging her legs off the bed and setting her base carefully in its designated place besides her dresser. But just as she did, she noticed the slight crack in the door.
“Oh no…” She said as she tilted her head in confusion, “I hope I didn’t wake anyone up…”
“Sylaise’s breath… how did I not notice that?” She scurried over to the door, stopping abruptly as she noticed the slight shadow which was cast from it.
“Uhh… someone there?” She said with obvious concern, “Manfred? Is that you?”

what time period accurate songs do you think jeremy would be listening to in tsc? 👀
Miss California by Dante Thomas
Anon I love you so much because you have no idea how much I ask this to myself on a regular basis. A couple weeks ago I was walking to work whilst brainstorming Jeremy Knox music headcanons and almost died to the tune of Believe by Cher while crossing the street. (Embarrassing, but also, what a way to go)
after changing my mind about 700 times, I decided that Jeremy, at least on a surface level, will dance/sing to literally any popular song with a good beat, (whether or not he actually sings the right lyrics is always 50/50) but he does love to sing. This comes from a tumblr post I saw like years ago saying that Jean takes a video of Jeremy singing Kylie Minogue’s “Your Disco Needs You” at 3am, and now that’s just canon Jeremy to me.
Jeremy was a kid in the 90s so TONS of 90s nostalgia stuff, all upbeat. Song 2, All star, What is love, Baby one more time, Tubthumping, all the catchy earworms he would hear on the radio and belt out as a kid. (It’s @kevinsdsy’s fault song 2 was the first on this list. The Jeremy Knox blur brainrot is real)
Jeremy, having heard these songs as a kid, knows all the lyrics just by memory. Even he doesn’t know about this until Cat plays Ricky Martin on her boombox and all of a sudden Jer is on the table with a solo cup microphone.
(“isn’t he only attracted to men?”Jean whispers to Cat as they watch Jeremy belt out ‘She Bangs’ in the most enthusiastic way possible.
“Honestly, l didn’t even think about that. I’m just pissed that they’re only playing the English version”, Cat whispers back)
Jeremy is also notorious for dancing to other team’s entrance songs when they walk on the court. The Breckenridge Jackals, for example, walk on court to Who Let the Dogs out, and Jer unironically uses that as pump up music. He aggressively nods his head to the beat of Let’s Get it Started when Penn State walks out. This leads to many (many) YouTube compilations titled something along the lines of “10 mins straight of Jeremy Knox shaking ass to his opponent’s anthems”
BUT also, privately, on his little 2006 iPod Mini (lol remember those), Jeremy listens to more alt rock (modern-day dad rock), like Muse, The Killers, Queens of The Stone Age etc… (this is based on a lighter version of the style of music Nora assigned to Andreil in the EC, and also my personal taste from that time period). I think it’s what he listens to on bad days, either bc he needs to drown out his depressing thoughts after seeing his family, or bc he isn’t quite mentally ready to fully process the insane truths Jean reveals on a day to day basis. Also days where he’s feeling more in-tune with his emotions and stuff.
anyway, I’m sorry, this got really long. I guess the tl;dr would be: imo, In TSC Jeremy loves to sing and dance to literally any popular 90s/early 00’s song bc that’s just who he is but privately on bad days he likes 2000’s alt rock.
