lisia translates!! maybe i'll properly clean this up sometime, but it's almost 2 am and i just had the thought to translate this for fun instead of properly sleeping:

first page (right to left): 'Returning home on a fun-filled day, Squirtle asks: 'Tomorrow is 'Setsubun'. Did you know that?'

'Not really, no...'

'So what is it?'

'It's the time where we scatter the circley thingies with the pointy-eared creatures known as 'Oni'.' (a/n oni is usually translated as 'ogre' or 'troll' or 'demon' etc)

'Ah! Like Pikachu's ears...!'

'Pikachu, you look exactly like an Oni!'

*Everyone started readying to prepare for 'Setsubun'.*

*Oni pants. A Setsubun metal bat.*

'So now what was it that we scatter from here again?'

'...Small circley thingies? Am I right? Riight??'

'Please come around soon, okay Cubone?'

'Somehow, I think we've gotten the real Setsubun mixed up...'

*With Pikachu acting as the Oni, everyone scattered flower seeds around the ground.*

'When spring comes, I think there'll be lots of flowers that will bloom as well.'
