luke and ezra are so important to each other because if it weren't for ezra then luke wouldn't have won and if it weren't for luke then ezra's sacrifice would've been for nothing,

luke has definitely heard of ezra and what he did when he joined the rebellion and he admires the little boy who was a jedi and still saved his friends even when all seemed lost, ezra searches for the key to defeat the sith and is driven to tatooine in an attempt to find it but in the end he understands that it won't be him who will do it and he instead leaves the door open for another to walk through it

the twin suns of tatooine and the twin moons of lothal — the wind and the sea, the sky and the earth. a sky walk can be considered a bridge, from a certain point of view. ezra was in the same planet as luke, in the same planet, and when each of them get their own kyber crystals you can see a shooting star in the sky

luke and ezra, sun and moon, sky and bridge. ezra built the path for luke to walk on. luke takes care of it and ensures that it will never be destroyed

watched the first season of star wars rebels a while ago and the tales of the empire trailer reminded me of it again so ive been rewatching :) heres some mildly unserious modern/human au doodles (hera, kanan, chopper, ezra, sabine, zeb, the grand inquisitor)

never watched anything beyond s1 so thats the setting this takes place in

It fucking KILLS me to see the way Ezra looks at Maul

vulnerable, full of shaky hope and insecurities, he feels lost and in need of guidance and Maul perfectly plays into that, twists his morals and makes him question the way Kanan taught him the force

Maul tells Ezra what he wants to hear: “you’re powerful”, “you have the potential to be something bigger”

“You were given this gift for a reason, use it. Can you do this for me?”

And then he places his hand on Ezra’s shoulder the way Kanan does, and Ezra hesitates and IM GOING TO BLOW UP HE’S just a kid who launches at any guidance that he’s provided because he lacked it for the majority of his life I’m going to bite someone’s head off OUGHHHH

you know how in his message, ezra tells zeb he can have the top bunk back. well whatever you do, don’t imagine zeb staying in the bottom bunk. don’t imagine him keeping the top bunk empty in the hope that ezra will be found and come back to it. don’t think about that top bunk staying empty for ten years.

At one point in Hidden Empire Palpatine refers to Qi'ra as "child of a poisoned lineage," and at first I was feeling defensive on Maul's behalf, but you know what, on reflection, I think he'd dig it.

"My veins do flow with poison. Bite me."

Anyway, petition to add Poisoned Lineage to the list of commonly accepted lineage names, along with Disaster and Shatterpoint. Maul, Savage, and Qi'ra deserve a cool name too.

I don't understand how people hate Ezra. How can you hate a sweet, innocent, awkwardly adorable boy who grew up into a mature but still awkwardly adorable man who sacrificed himself to save his homeworld? People say he's annoying or cringy I just don't see it.
