♡ when you almost pass out due to period cramps ♡
-> how the genshin men would react when you nearly pass out from severe period cramps
based on this request!
Initially panics
Itto, Xiao, Scaramouche, Gorou
When you're about to fall, he'll immediately be there to catch you. Though, when he sees your face twisted in pain from the cramps, he freaks out a little bit.
Look, he knows exactly what to do to treat an injury, but when it comes to cramps? Please enlighten him. The best he'll do is set you down somewhere comfortable and get you something hot to drink, but you'll need to tell him what else you'll need and then he'll retrieve it to the best of his ability.
And if you're missing things, he'll try to make up for it in his own way. Like, if you don't have a heating pad, he might suggest you sit on his lap so he could hug you and wrap his hands around your stomach. That way, he can at least provide you warmth himself. He'll leave a trail of kisses from the back of your head and down your neck, and would lean his lips towards your ear, whispering,
"I'm sorry you have to go through this, I'm here for you"
I think he'd be a bit frustrated that he didn't know how to help you right away, but after this experience and after you teach him, he won't forget.
Pampers you
Kazuha, Zhongli, Kaeya, Venti, Heizou
I think he would have already sensed that you were on your monthly cycle through your sudden cravings and overall fatigued mood, so he was sensitive to you. Yet, he wouldn't have known the severity of it until you were about to topple over. Of course, he'll catch you.
From then on, you'll be subject to his pampering. Anything that'll make you feel better, he'll do. Even after providing you with all the necessities (such as the painkillers, heating pad, etc.), he's going to get you your favorite foods (maybe also spoonfeed you, hehe), read you your favorite book, give you a massage, and so much more. Anything to make you smile again.
Scolds you a bit
Alhaitham, Dainsleif, Diluc, Kaveh, Cyno, Childe
After catching you, he'll scoop you up into his arms and carry you all the way to your room. As he brings you to your bed, I think he'll lightly scold you a bit for not taking your painkillers, but that's only because you made him so worried when you were about to pass out. He'll be relieved that he was there to catch you, at least.
But you were still worrying him in the state you were currently in. He absolutely hates seeing you in pain.
He'll also know what to get you and he knows how to take care of you in this situation. Even if he might have been busy or preoccupied with something prior to this, it'll have to wait because he's not going to leave your side until the pain has subsided.
He'll hold your hand at your bedside so that you know he's there for you. Grasping it firmly, he'd wish that there was a way to instantly take your pain away. After all, he would rather take your pain and make it his own than to see you suffer.
You wouldn't even be in this situation
Thoma, Ayato, Baizhu, Tighnari, Albedo
Honestly, I think it'd be hard to get into this situation if they're around. They'd pay close attention to your schedule and would always want to confirm whenever you were on your period so that they can have the things you needed already prepared.
They'd pay special attention to your well-being during then as well. If you show any signs of fatigue or pain at all, he's gonna tell you to take it easy and if you were doing any type of physically demanding task at the moment, he'll persuade you to stop and he'll take over if he has to. More importantly, he'll have painkillers and your favorite hot drink for you at the ready. Again, all that you needed, he already has.
They don't play around when it comes to your health!
a/n: mmm, idk how I feel about this one. I feel like it was kinda similar throughout the whole thing? I just couldn't think of anything else, oof 😔

10 minute quick writes
(also known as I don't have a lot of time these days but I still have a lot of Genshin thoughts)
Warning: angst, you die
He left for some sort of assignment. A task. Just something quick. Maybe a week or two, not really that long in terms of assignments. You were still lively and had a lot of plans with him when he returned.
But when he returned...You were gone. There was already a gravestone with your name on it. Only your friend was left to explain to him what happened.
"...and it happened so fast, we couldn't even get a letter out to you in time, (his name). I'm sorry. I really am,"
Albedo, Baizhu:
in denial. In so much denial that he doesn't even believe it. You're not dead. You're just waiting for him to REVIVE you, and believe it cause he'll spend the rest of his life looking for that solution.
Bringing you back to life is an obsession now.
"Y/N will wake up in time...You'll see,"
Alhaitham, Diluc, Dainsleif:
doesn't even know what to do.
Has so much anger in himself that he wasn't with you when it all went down. You were here suffering while he was out there on an assignment for someone else. What happened to his promise of always being there when you needed him most? He felt like a joke. A failure.
Everything is meaningless now.
Suffers in silence. As if he wasn't already so closed in before.
Scaramouche, Xiao
seething with rage. not at you. not at himself. but towards your poor friend who is now being held by heir collar.
"Stop fucking around and tell Y/N to come meet me at the usual,"
Your friend tries to explain, but to no avail.
When you don't show up that day and the next, the next and the next...he finally got it.
He wasn't going to see you again.
Gets angry at the world.
Kaveh, Itto, Lyney
Thinks it's a legitimate joke at first.
"Ahaha, good one. No really, I need to talk to Y/N,"
Your friend sees that the conversation is going nowhere so instead opts to lead him to your grave.
Stunned. how could this happen? You were fine. You were well and alive and cheerful when he left and now...he couldn't even see your face. That was it? That's all? Not even a goodybe from you?
"That's not fair, Y/N..." appears to resent you, but in reality just resent the circumstances in which it happens. Feels left behind, and is heartbroken for ages.
Neuvillette, Zhongli, Ayato
"What do you mean?" is his first question. Doesn't quite understand how this could have happened. He made sure you were safe and well when he left. Asks for all the details, the nitty gritty, looking for clues on how this could have went down.
Obsesses over the details of your death for months. Who does he have to punish? Was it avoidable? Was there something he could have done to prevent it? Why? Why when he was away?
Cries behind closed doors, never in public but will visit your grave in an ungodly hour and shed a few tears alone and to whisper:
"Darling, I don't think this pain of missing you will ever go away,"

Hoyo‘s Doctors as Dads🧸
Synopsis: Do they want children? How would they be as dads? What hobbies would they have with their children?
Characters: Baizhu, Dr.Ratio, Il Dottore
A.N: Oh yes!!! Beware though I made this pretty realistically what I thought their decisions would be based on a few presented factors. Also very sorry I didn’t post anything, I feel like my writing is getting worse :.)
C.w: Reader is implied to carry the baby, also Dr. Ratio‘s part is a lot longer than Baizhu‘s and Dottore‘s (sorry I can’t do all men justice equally ):
-🧸<🍼> 🧸-🧸<🍼> 🧸🧸<🍼> 🧸🧸<🍼> 🧸🧸<
Baizhu🐍
He definitely wouldn’t be opposed to the idea. He would love to raise a child with you and teach it all about the world and make it into a lovely human being.
So his parenting style would support that! He would want to be there for his child no matter if there are emotional troubles that it can’t cope with or experiences to be made in reality. He would in general be very patient with his child and have a good mixture of strictness with gentleness.
He also detest shouting at it, as well as scolding too harshly so he really tries to not do this to make sure he doesn’t damage the relationship with his child. Nonetheless, the child knows when his tone gets stern that it did something wrong and better listens to what its father has to tell them.
As for what he would do together with them, there are a lot of things. Surely he would like to teach the kid a little bit about medicine even if it ends up not wanting to do that for their profession. He thinks it’s good to have some basic medicinal knowledge. He would also take them for some walks and hikes in nature when going out for herbs.
Dr. Ratio🎓
Getting Children is admittedly not really on his radar. He is so focused on work that he tries his best to be there often enough for let alone you, so if you two were to get a child he would have a lot more time to invest into it and sacrifice work time to be here for you and the baby. Especially since he wouldn’t want you to be the only one to need to invest their time into it.
And while that might not be the end of the world, it would bother him to have his pretty good work-life balance smashed together by a little human. Since he is also pretty content with the relationship only being between the two of you.
Yet if you were to listen to his reasons and be able to make a few sacrifices on your side, he would maybe be willing to give you a child. In your pregnancy he would then be there for you to the best of his abilities and care for the little human inside you, yet you can see there is a bit of distance.
But that distance also gets less after the baby is born and has features of him and you. He would fall in love.
He then would be more of a stricter dad. He has read a lot about parenting in books prior yet still wouldn’t fuss to scold the child occasionally if it did something really wrong.
What he would do with the child largely depends on the child’s personality. If he notices the child likes learning and asks him questions about every kind of science then he would be over the moon. If the child turns out to be hating school and academics however.. be prepared to watch him try to cope with that.
If the child would be willing, he would indulge in every childlike imagination with them, explaining the physics of a flying ship, floating water in zero gravity, you name it. If the child is completely disinterested though. He will have a hard time to bond with it, since there is only an emotional component left which is very important and which he could fulfill just fine, but there is no shared passion between them then.
So all in all, he would probably be against getting a child. The chances of him and it not connecting are too big to him to want to try it out because even if you try it and it doesn’t work, he doesn’t want a child to need to suffer under it. He also simply isn’t interested in the major life changes that come with it and admits that he is not cut out to be a parent which is fine too isn’t it?
Il Dottore🧪
You want a child? He would give it to you, what’s the harm in it after all? Most that it would have in store for him is another human he could teach some things about lab work.
But other than concerning himself with it when it comes to work be prepared to raise it on your own. Dottore may be willing to give you a child and help you with giving birth and be there for all the pregnancy related things, but he would more do the minimum rather than the maximum.
But if you agree that you are okay with the minimum and occasional bonding moments he‘d have with the child then there you go!
Maybe he would also deploy one of his clones from time to time to entertain the baby (but please make sure it doesn’t end up in an experiment then :).
If you ever really have all hands full nonetheless and all the clones are with him in an experiment you will get the lucky chance to see Dottore strapped with your little one to the chest walking around the lab with the clones. Which surely is questionable but boy does it look kinda cute.
They all would probably get so distracted by the baby after some point tho that everything is about it and work is forgotten.

Favorite patient
Platonic! Yandere! Baizhu x Child! Fem! Reader
After losing your parents, you started living with your grandmother in Liyue Harbor. You didn't have a lot of money and you were suffering from an incurable disease, but even so you both were happy.
Your grandmother was already very old and had far from the strongest health, and you often suffered from pain due to illness. Death is hanging over your little house. However, neither you nor grandma saw this as a problem. You had no one but her, just like she had no one but you. That's why you didn't even worry about expensive medications. Since you're both destined to die in the coming years.
And everything was relatively good until you met Qiqi. You often met when you came to pick up inexpensive sleeping pills for your grandmother, and then on certain days you began to go for herbs together. Today was just the day. You and Qiqi were already at the pharmacy when you saw Baizhu and your grandmother.
"Mr. Baizhu, we can't afford these medicines, and Y/n and I have already discussed everything and decided..."
"I'm afraid you don't quite understand me, your granddaughter will die without these medications and I..."
"Grandma!"
You immediately ran up to her hugging her, your body hurt, but you were so happy that grandma felt better.
"And here's my favorite patient."
You and Grandma synchronously looked at the smiling Baizhu, Qiqi came up to you.
"Mr. Baizhu, as I said before, we can't afford such medicines. Besides, they are not for one time and they will have to be constantly consumed..."
Baizhu wants to start an argument with your grandmother again, but you won't let him do it.
"I don't want to start treatment either."
There is silence in the pharmacy and the owner is lost for a second from such a statement and looks at you in confusion. After a couple of seconds, he starts smiling again.
"Well, well, why don't we continue this conversation another time, it's late, and I promised Qiqi coconut milk."
Your grandmother nods in agreement, and you say goodbye to Qiqi.
"Good night, Mr. Baizhu."
"You too."
And after this incident that you tried to avoid Baizhu and Bubu Pharmacy. You received sleeping pills through your friend Qiqi, who wrote down your request so as not to forget.
"Sorry, Qiqi couldn't bring sleeping pills and painkillers."
"It's okay, Qiqi. Don't worry."
Yesterday you asked her to bring the cheapest painkiller they had, because the pain became too frequent and severe.
"No, it's just Baizhu..."
Qiqi took out a small notebook and started looking for something.
"Baizhu didn't give Qiqi any sleeping pills or painkillers because he wants you to come for them yourself. Qiqi thinks that Baizhu is worried about Y/n, just like Qiqi."
"Okay, I understood. I'll go to him."
You really came that evening to Baizhu. And to your surprise and disappointment, the owner of "Bubu" pharmacy was the only one here.
"And here's my favorite patient."
"Good evening, Mr. Baizhu, I've come to pick up sleeping pills and painkillers."
"Of course, just follow me."
Baizhu brought you to a small room and told you to sit on the bed. You hesitantly followed his instructions, while trying to explain to the man that you only need herbs, but he didn't seem to listen to you at all and continued to inspect.
"Mr. Bai Zhu, I only need sleeping pills and painkillers..."
"Does it hurt here?"
"No, Mr...."
"Answer honestly."
"Yes, a little, but..."
"I see, Y/n have you ever taken the right medications?"
"No, but I don't need them."
"Alright, please wait for me here."
He left the room, and you thought for a second to leave, but your grandmother still needed sleeping pills, and you need painkillers. Baizhu returned a couple of minutes later, in his hands he had a cup with some kind of decoction.
"You need to drink everything, otherwise I won't give you sleeping pills."
"We don't have the money for..."
"It's for free."
The doctor handed you a cup and you took it carefully, but instead of drinking, you just started staring at this liquid.
"Y/n, don't make me to give you this decoction by force."
Baizhu was still smiling at you, but there was a clear warning in his voice. Sighing heavily, you drank it all in one gulp. The medicine was disgusting and you immediately winced. Your head got a little dizzy, and the pain became less and you involuntarily began to relax.
"Well done, Y/n, you're such a strong girl."
You felt Bai Zhu's hands on your cheeks and he began to lower your head on the pillow, and you obediently lay down. You had neither the strength nor the desire to do anything, so you just watched the doctor. At the same time, he took off your shoes, put your feet on the bed, and then took a blanket out of the closet and covered you with it. The eyes started to close.
"To be honest, Y/n, I am very dissatisfied with your condition and, as a doctor, I will monitor your condition until you recover completely. As a result, you will have to stay here indefinitely. And now go to sleep, my little Y/n."

"do this again...?"
zhongli x gn!reader
・❥・fluff fluff!
・❥・1.5k
・❥・helloooo i'm suffering an ungodly writers block rn so im really sorry if this is a MESS, i really don't mean for it to be sigh.. also inspired by that art where zhongli is fangirling over baizhus hair and going "so soft!" and then starts scrubbing his own head with a bar of soap (i can't find the link but if someone finds it lmk)
・❥・momentary dragon zhong!! modern au, readers a bit cuddly at the start lol, might not be suitable for all readers bc reader is a haircare nerd!! reader swears (this is a general warning for all my fics atp), i think thats it?? lmk??
zhongli was always put together, well presented, clean shaven, and always smelled of mahogany and vanilla, in fact, these were some of his most admirable traits. however, there was one thing that always puzzled you a little.
when he was in his dragon form, zhonglis hair was always soft and silky, and looked perfectly healthy. but of course, nowadays it is rare for him to be in this form, and so he usually stays in mortal form for long periods of time in order to blend in with the general population of liyue. when in this form however, zhonglis hair is brittle and dry, seemingly with little to no explanation as to why.
“zhongli,” you whisper against the fabric of a hoodie you insisted he buy (which he rejected initially. if it were up to him you would both be dressed in formal attire at almost all times of the day) “what’s up with your hair?”
“whatever do you mean?” he asks, large palm slowly rubbing the small of your back. he tilts his chin down to look at you as you rest your eyes, laying on his chest and fiddling with the ends of his ponytail.
“don’t you think its a little frizzy?” you ponder, moving your hand from his hair to instead grip on to his hoodie, fingers interlacing with the soft fabric as you sit up a little to meet his eyes. he would never admit to it, but watching you grip on to his clothing, looking all cozy was making the article grow on him, plus he knew you were a little sleepy, given you had gotten home and immediately insisted he cuddle with you.
“is that supposed to be an insult?” he laughs, moving to a straighter sitting position, and allowing you to adjust by placing your legs either side of his, stretching them out behind him and tucking your head in to the gap between his shoulder and neck.
“m’no, just an observation” you mumble against him. "it's always so healthy n-" you yawn mid-sentence, heaving your arms up around his neck, playing with the few stray hairs that sit at the back of his neck. "it's always helfy when y'do the thing… with the horns and the tail- n'stuff" you smack your lips a little every few words, eyelashes fluttering against the small portion of his collarbone which is exposed from under his hoodie.
"you're tired dear, you should sleep" he says gently, palms still rubbing up and down your back.
"buh if I sleep you'll-" you yawn again, unsurprisingly "you'll go n'do work or somethin'"
"who told you that, hm? I've done all my work for the day. I'm more than content to lay here with you," he whispers "besides, I'm intrigued to hear more of your sleepy opinions on my appearance"
“don’t have any opinions, only facts,” you giggle, placing a soft kiss on his skin before putting your cheek down against it, closing your eyes. “trust, i’ll get to the bottom of this t’morrow” you smile and yawn another time.
“fine, although i don’t think there's any problem with my haircare methods. rest well dear” he says, hands stilling on your back as the room falls to a desolate silence, only the sound of his breathing lulling you to rest.
brightness is normally a positive thing, but not when it's hitting your eyes so early in the morning, and the bed is so empty. shouldn’t zhongli be here? you yawn, opening your eyes a little more to see the whole room, and no zhongli in sight. however, your ears quickly hear it, quiet liyuean opera music coming from somewhere downstairs. he has already started his day.
you slowly, but surely make your way downstairs, rubbing your eyes with the back of your hands. you stumble upon zhongli in the living room, a computer on the coffee table in front of him, shirt sleeves rolled up and the muscles of his arms flexing as he types furiously, a puzzled expression lacing his features.
“you’re awake, darling. did you sleep okay?” he asks, eyes parting with the laptop to meet yours.
“like a baby” you giggle as you take small steps over to him, tiredly flopping on the couch beside him, hugging one of his arms and looking up at him. “whatcha lookin at?” you ask, closing your eyes and taking in his scent, and the environment around you, the twang of the guzheng and soft air of flutes coming through the speaker in the corner of the room, and the feeling of his arm moving slowly from your grip, instead snaking its way around your shoulders
“haircare methods,” he sighs, “i think i’ve realised the error of my ways”
“and that is…?” you raise an eyebrow at him, and he ultimately just looks embarrassed, cheeks flaring a slight shade of pink.
“well, it would seem that the soap i use is rather abrasive” he sighs, leaning back in the chair and opening up a tab on his browser to reveal a branded bar of soap. soap. not shampoo, not conditioner, but soap.
“soap?!” you ask, face contorting as if you had just had the shock of a lifetime. he nods sheepishly as you stare at him, moving up from your seat to get on your feet, grabbing his hands to drag him with you.
“come”
“where are we going?” he asks, smiling a little as if to be doting upon your sudden investment in his hair.
“bathroom” you say, dragging him up the stairs, feet thumping as you march up the stairs.
“what are we doing?” he inquires, following you into the bathroom, chuckling at you.
"reciting an extensive apology to your fucking hair follicles" you stare at him, face dead serious. your entire body is turned in the other direction, pulling out a wicker basket full of all your haircare products.
"language" he reprimands, folding his arms and taking a seat on the edge of the bathtub.
"fuck fuck, shit fuck" you giggle, trying your hardest to invoke a reaction as you pull out different conditioning products from the basket. he just sighs. if it's you, such profanities can be excused in private, he supposes.
"don't be rude" he says, but he's secretly holding a laugh, watching you pull out some sort of deep conditioning pack, then squishing the liquid around in the packet.
"i'll be rude if i so wish" you taunt, sticking your tongue out before bursting out in laughter. "okay, sit on the floor" you say, setting the conditioning pack on the edge of the bath.
"excuse me?" he questions, standing up beside you, suddenly seeming a little taller than you remember.
"you heard me, head over the edge of the tub, chop chop"
"what on earth…?" he questions, kneeling with his head hanging fair over the bathtub.
"trust the process" you say, grabbing a towel from the rail on the other side of the room, putting it over his shoulders. you gently pull his hair tie out, watching the brown locks fall on to the towel.
"is this necessary?" he whines, tensing up a little when you move his hair off the towel, so that it went straight down in to the tub.
"yes," you answer flatly, "now close your eyes" you say turning on the shower head.
"why?" he asks, jumping a little in shock when you run the water over his head.
"too hot?" you ask, soaking his hair from scalp to tip. he shakes his head, and he's audibly breathing a little louder when the water runs down his cheeks. immediately after he feels you dump some sort of thick substance on his head.
"what on earth is that?" he asks, watching your hands reach to rub the mask down through his hair.
"conditioning mask" you answer, rinsing your hands under the tap, washing off the excess. “stay here” you instruct.
“my love, where are you going?” zhongli sighs, but you’ve already ran to the bedroom, grabbing a t-shirt to wrap around his hair.
“okay, lift your head up” you smile, and he awkwardly complies, trying his very best not to get water everywhere as you get his hair together to go inside the tee. he stands on his feet once again, before sitting on the toilet seat, legs awkwardly jutting out in to the room as you clean up any spilled water.
after you finish wiping around the edge of the bath, you look up at him from where you are, and a fountain of giggles spills over somewhere within you. you simply cannot stop laughing at him, meanwhile zhongli is staring at you like a wet dog. frowning, he meets your eyes.
“do we have to do this again?”

Kinktober Day 19: Feet
Rating: R-18+
Word Count: 4965
Warnings: one instance of gendered language, the rest is gender neutral, foot fetish, foot job, toe licking, some angst for spice, reader is implied to have had a bad/abusive past but nothing is specifically mentioned in that regard
A/N: sorry I got so sidetracked for a minute there efvkefkeke but I'm back to finish these Kinktober prompts at last lol
⭐
You’re halfway through the door, tray of tea and afternoon snacks in hand, when you come to an abrupt, china rattling halt just over the threshold. That you very nearly send scalding hot liquid splashing across the floor doesn’t even seem to register in that moment as you incredulously widen your eyes at the back of Baizhu’s head. You’d expected to find the chair in front of his desk empty and the bed soundly occupied but — a quick, surreptitious glance at the neatly straightened sheets assures you you’re not imagining things, and you had in fact walked in on the exact opposite.
What was he thinking?
“Doctor?” You call over, soft and politely tentative.
He doesn’t even have the grace to act surprised at being caught, nor does he turn to look at you, and just keeps writing in the heavy ledger spread open before him without pause.
“Ah, is it that time already?” He says over his shoulder in that always pleasant tone. “I thought I still had a chance to get a bit more work done before you came back and shackled me to my bed again.”
“That’s not funny.” You sigh in defeat and shuffle further inside to come up alongside him at the desk.
Standing there for a moment, you just watch him scribble away, dip his brush in the ink and carefully touch it to paper again before continuing on with nary a sign of interruption in the flowing script. You couldn’t quite make out what it said though — not because his penmanship was bad or anything. It was all clean and precise, and nearly perfectly balanced across the sheet but you didn’t know how to read half of the complicated characters, having never been taught more than a few of them. Baizhu was actively trying to rectify that but, well. You hadn’t quite made it that far yet.
At last, you draw a pointed breath when he still won’t stop long enough to look up and actually acknowledge you. “What are you doing, doctor? You should be resting. You know that.”
“Yes, yes, I’m well aware you’re concerned about me overexerting myself and I do appreciate the care.” He chuckles softly, pausing to dip the long handled brush into the inkwell again. “But a tiny bit of inventory isn’t going to kill me, dear. I promise.”
“Inventory?” You echo him in confusion. “How are you able to do that without looking in the storeroom or what’s stocked in the pharmacy?”
Finally bringing his head up to offer you a small, gentle smile, Baizhu gestures somewhat vaguely at the room at large. “This is both my home and my livelihood, isn’t it? One would find me quite lacking if I wasn’t even aware of what inventory moves quickly and what lingers for a while. It’s not too difficult to estimate the daily needs of the pharmacy based on my years of previous experience keeping everything running as it should.”
You were undoubtedly impressed by that, your brows lifting in surprise and something not unlike awe, and yet you still find yourself saying, “But what if something has suddenly changed and your estimates aren’t correct?”
Noising a brief sound of consideration, Baizhu lifts his unoccupied hand to thoughtfully touch the backs of his knuckles to his chin. “Hm, changed in what way? If there was a sudden influx of sick people all suffering from the same symptoms and, therefore, requiring the same kind of medicine, I certainly would have heard about it and could easily make the proper adjustments.”
“But … I don’t know, what if someone was stealing from you?”
He blinks at that as he slowly glances up at you again. The tiny little smile that pulls at his mouth promptly makes you flush under his ever watchful eye. “Oh? And have you been helping yourself to my herbs, dear girl?”
“N - no, of course not! I wouldn’t even think to do something like that!”
Chuckling, he serenely turns back to the ledger again. “I know you wouldn’t. I was only teasing you a little bit.”
Trying not to pout and failing rather miserably at it, you turn your head away from him only to spot Changsheng curled up in a tight coil on the far windowsill, sunning herself in the mid morning sun. Well, at least that explained her suspicious lack of commentary thus far. Stamping down the urge to heave yet another sigh, you shuffle forward to place the tray on the corner of the desk. There wasn’t any use in trying to argue the matter further. Baizhu always had a ready answer on hand no matter what you questioned him about, and his need for bedrest was no different from the inventory in that regard.
“Would you care to sit with me for a while?”
Your head comes up halfway through the motion of turning to leave, but his attention remains focused on what he’s writing. Perhaps you would have found it a bit off putting if only you were not quite so familiar with the doctor's usual habits and peculiarities. If he was asking you a question like that then it probably meant he was keen on having the company … or perhaps he just missed having Changsheng hanging off his neck. Not that you could exactly crawl on top of him and take her spot or anything but the sentiment was still a nice one, wasn’t it?
“You wouldn’t find it too distracting to have me hovering around you, doctor?”
“Of course not, dear. Having you around is always such a pleasure.”
Even the teasing tone in his voice is not enough to keep the smile off your face. Your initial misgivings are long forgotten now as you step behind his chair over to the other side of the desk where you eagerly hop up to perch on the ledge. Laughing under his breath, Baizhu reaches over to briefly dip the brush in ink yet again and then continues on with his work. Content just to be sharing his space with him like this, you watch on for what feels like a lifetime. It was always like that, though. You could have sat with him in complete silence all day and never gotten bored of looking at him.
But it doesn’t last forever, and your skin tingles warmly when he eventually slides his free hand over to lightly touch yours where it’s braced atop the desk. It’s an idle gesture, one that he doesn’t seem to give much thought considering the way his brush just keeps flicking over the blocky characters without even a moment's pause. If you didn’t know any better you would have almost thought it a subconscious action. Something his fingers felt compelled to do for no other reason than the close proximity of another person.
You were just as familiar with this part of him as his stubborn refusal to heed the warnings of others, however, so you allow your fingertips to brush over his palm. It was nice being able to share such quiet amity with him, and you suspected he felt much the same way as you did. A simple comfort.
“There,” He finally sets the brush aside some minutes later with a satisfied exhale. “That should just about do it, I believe. I’ll just have to double check everything is as it should be once I’m allowed back into the pharmacy again.”
“Doctor Baizhu,” You can’t quite keep the soft inflection out of your voice now. “I already told you those jokes aren’t funny. We’re not holding you hostage or anything like that …”
His elegant shoulders softly shake as he turns that fond look on you again. “I know you’re not, dear. But the way you and Gui act it’s like you think I’m going to shatter at the first upset though. You know I’m more resilient than that, don’t you?”
Frowning, you shift your attention down to your lap. Sometimes you weren’t so sure about that … but before you can figure out how to articulate that in a way that wouldn’t make you sound like an anxious mother hen (an ironic role reversal if there ever was one) Baizhu brings his hand up to rest across your knee. He gives it a brief squeeze that makes your pulse quicken, and you find yourself slowly glancing up from under the fall of your lashes.
“Your heart is very much in the right place and I do appreciate it.” He tells you with perfect sincerity now. “I have no intention of admitting defeat so easily though. There are still many things I need to see to in this world before I can even think about crossing over to the next … teaching you how to read and write is right at the top of that list, for starters.”
Your cheeks burn in shame and deep felt mortification alike. Baizhu had taken you in off the streets even when every shred of common sense should have dictated that it wasn’t a good idea to do so. Even Changsheng’s initial sass and uncertainty hadn’t been enough to dissuade him from it though, so you knew he wasn’t saying such things from a place of malice or discontent. He seemed to genuinely want the best for you — and that’s why you don’t protest when he runs his hand lower to comfortingly caress over your calf.
“There’s nothing to be embarrassed about.” He assures you with a gentle pat. “You’ve already made commendable progress in just the short amount of time we’ve been working on it. I’m very proud of you, you know.”
You squirm, growing increasingly more flustered the more he not only talks but also touches you with that gentle familiarity. “Thank you, doctor. But … I'm just not sure how I can repay you for everything.”
That wasn’t entirely true. You did have one idea.
But you were always hesitant to instigate these sorts of encounters with him, mainly because regardless of how many times you went through the motions together Baizhu never sought you out himself. It was always you doing the pursuing, coming on to him and offering up thanks the only way you really knew how. He seemed perfectly willing once things got started so you didn’t necessarily think it was a matter of him not wanting to share the intimacy of a lover with you, but it did make you doubt yourself just a little bit.
Even now the brush of his fingers on your leg remains innocent and unassuming as if the thought of where else this might otherwise lead had never even crossed his mind and he was perfectly content with simply appreciating the warmth of your skin against his. You weren’t sure if it was a result of him being so used to Changsheng’s near constant presence around his neck that made him this comfortable with casual touching or if he was just like this naturally, but he seemed not to want for anything more than that. Were you possibly overstepping some unspoken boundary when you laid yourself bare at his feet? Was he perhaps too polite and kind to tell you ‘no’ even if he really didn’t want it?
You truly had no idea. Baizhu was so unlike anyone else you’d ever met that you really couldn’t make sense of him sometimes. The inventory, the way he refused to take care of himself amidst taking care of everyone else, the touching, his insistence that you should know how to read and write … he truly was an enigma.
“You needn’t worry yourself about unnecessary things like that.” He tells you, and the affectionately gentle tone in his lilting voice just further throws you into turmoil. “I didn’t invite you into my home with the expectation of receiving anything in return so no thanks are necessary. Just keep doing your best every day and I’ll be perfectly content with that.”
And isn’t that precisely why he deserved to be on the receiving end of such favors?
Stealing another quick look at the far windowsill, you confirm that Changsheng is still softly snoozing away before shifting on top of the desk to fully face him. Baizhu tips his head in question, looking totally unawares, and it almost gives you pause. It’s a little hard to shake the feeling that perhaps you were the bad guy here, like maybe you were the one taking advantage of him, but … surely that wasn’t the case, right? If he didn’t want it he would have said so, wouldn’t he?
You feel uncharacteristically shy, almost sheepish as you curl your leg up and brush the ankle against his thigh in clear suggestion. His expression promptly settles into a neutral look of understanding. He doesn’t show any signs of being pleased or excited by it, but he also doesn’t look repulsed by your advances either. Just accepting. Of you, of this — archons, even when he wasn’t teasing you he was still the most difficult and confusing man you’d ever known.
“This isn’t something you need to do for me. You must know by now that I’ll be perfectly fine without it.”
Face warming with what you think is probably shame, you nod in understanding. “I do, but … I’d like to make you feel good, if that’s okay.”
Drawing a stitled breath that makes his narrow shoulders rise and then fall when he lets it out on a slow exhale, Baizhu loosely curls his fingers around your calf. Drags them lower to give your ankle a reassuring squeeze and then further down to nudge off your slipper. It hits the floor with a near silent flop against the hardwood, and then he’s cupping the heel of your foot in his palm. Gently lifting it to chest level, he bends to press a chaste kiss to your toes.
“You’re very kind to me, dear, but I hope you don’t think I expect such favors from you just for providing you with a roof over your head.” He murmurs, and you give your head a shake this time.
“That’s not it. I know you don’t. I just want to be able to do something for you in return …” And this was the only thing you knew how to do with any amount of skill. You were neither a scholar nor talented in any trade. You couldn’t read or write. Some days it felt like you struggled just to serve the tea properly.
But this was something you had plenty of experience in and you liked to think you did it well. That doesn’t exactly disperse the niggling thought in the back of your mind that tells you you’re somehow forcing yourself on the doctor, that you were coercing or forcing him to give in. There’s a certain amount of guilt that comes with this, on your part at least, but you can’t quite seem to find the resolve to stop doing it.
And Baizhu does give in, though not without an almost sad, barely noticeable softening of his strange burnished gold eyes. Still cradling your foot in his hand, he presses his mouth to the sensitive pad this time to make your toes flex at the ticklish feeling before lowering your leg. You watch him carefully direct it to his lap and a dull thrill races through you when the weight of him through his pants meets the arch. Using both hands now, he takes a moment to just fondle over the extremity and massage his fingers into your skin. An unexpected shudder dances up your spine when he locates a particularly tender spot that seems to bleed some of the tension from your body when he presses on it.
Of all the things you’d expected to have to do for him this one had been relatively low on your list. Liking feet did not appear to be so strange or unheard of in the grander scheme, but you can’t quite decide how you actually felt about him using only this part of you to get off. Certainly other areas would make him feel even better — your mouth, at least, but he always kept his attention on your feet instead. That embarrasses you a bit too, if you were being honest, but the way he softly sighs in budding arousal stops you from pressing the matter.
If this was what made him feel good then you would happily give that to him.
“Your skin has gotten even softer since the last time,” He murmurs, clearly pleased by that. “Those herb scrubs are doing wonders to reverse the damage done before you came here. It really is a shame you had to struggle so much just to survive.”
“It’s okay, since I don’t have to do those things anymore.” And you intended to keep it that way, no matter the cost or what it took. Baizhu had given you a new life, a new purpose for existing, so of course you would want to repay him. It was only natural, right?
When he smiles it picks up the edge of sadness you can just make out in his eyes, but his voice remains soft and even toned. “Are you certain about this? I know you always seem eager to please but …”
“I’m sure. You enjoy it, don’t you?” Pointedly curling your toes to nudge them against the faint bulge under your foot, you keenly observe the way his dark lashes give a slight flutter in response. He stirs underneath you, becoming more pronounced. A little thicker. But still, he doesn’t immediately jump at the chance.
“I do. More than I’d like to admit, if I’m being honest.” His fingers tracing over the jut of your ankle bone, Baizhu regards you in quiet contemplation for a long moment before drawing a careful breath. “Thank you for having me in this way, dear. I don’t exactly have the time to cultivate many relationships, and taking on a lover seems … ill advised, given my condition. As long as you understand that there is a limit to what I can give you in return, I have no qualms about it.”
Your stomach sinks. So that was it then, wasn’t it? His hesitancy didn’t stem from a lack of wanting but wary caution when his own mortality always at the forefront of his mind, dictating all of his decisions. What he could do, what he would allow himself to do, how much he would comfortably let another person in. That was the crux.
Perhaps you should have felt bad about chipping away at his self erected defenses to end up at this point where he was openly admitting it to you, but somehow you just really don’t.
You feel emboldened, in fact, and you gently rub the pad of your foot over him with a fresh spike of courage searing your veins. Baizhu hums a low sound in response and lets his eyes slip shut for a moment, just basking in the sensation. It was vindicating, in a way. Knowing it wasn’t a problem with you or the burden you’d been carrying when you came to him. The fact he’d held out this long — no doubt wanting to avoid any further exploitation — was a testament to his strength of will, but he was still human. He was still a man with all the hardwired urges and impulses of any other.
Just as you’d thought, then. You really were the only one who could take care of him in this way.
Directing your foot a little lower down, you take a moment to gently nudge at and tease the weight of his ballsack between his legs. You can see the growing tent in his pants now, straining up just above your toes. He looses a shuddering breath and slowly rolls his hips forward to grind himself on you. A sense of reluctance still remains, you can see it in the tense set of his shoulders, but that doesn’t quite stop him from acting on it.
“You’ve already done so much for me, doctor Baizhu.” You whisper into the suddenly static air. “Let me do something for you now.”
Hissing a low sound of wanting, he tips his face down to watch your foot slide up the now rigid length of his cock. A glossy strand of hair slips forward to hang over his shoulder, matching the crystal bauble that dangles off his glasses. It swings softly at the motion, drawing your attention to it for a brief stretch, but his attention remains locked on what you’re doing in his lap. You can tell he wants to, so you reach up a little higher to toe at the sash around his waist.
“Untie this for me?”
Baizhu hesitates only for as long as it takes you to blink, and then he’s stiffly bringing his hands up to tug at the knot. It comes loose with a near silent slither, not unlike one that Changsheng would make, and you dart your eyes up to make sure she was still where you’d last seen her. It didn’t look like she’d so much as moved since you’d entered the room some time ago though. Hopefully she really was fast asleep over there in the warm sun or she at least had the sense to keep pretending to be. The doctor wasn’t afforded many opportunities like this, and you knew he’d put an end to it immediately if she alerted him.
But for now at least, he makes quick work of getting his soft pants pushed down enough to allow his cock to spring up between the two of you. A hot pulse of wanting spears through you at the sight, your desire to do more with it than simply rub your feet on it almost overpowering your higher functioning mind. But you pointedly stay on track, and lift your leg to press that stiff length against his flat stomach. Using this to brace against, you start to rub the pad of your foot up and down, up and down the silky underside of him.
Moaning very softly, Baizhu leans back in his chair to watch as if in transfixed silence. The light blanket he had resting over his shoulders fans out slightly with the shift, and you dare to scoot a little further over on the desk so that you’re sitting almost directly in front of him now. The soft rustle of movement settles back into silence again, interspersed only by the occasional chirp of a bird outside the window or the distant sounds of city life beyond. Lifting your eyes, you look Baizhu in the face.
To your surprise, he’s looking back at you.
“Thank you.” Is all he says, and the hushed tone of arousal in those two simple words makes your blood boil. Oh, how you wanted him to be yours so badly.
“You needn’t thank me, doctor.” You murmur as you fan your toes out over the head of his cock and knead them down into the glans. It makes his chest hitch, his golden gaze taking on a far away, almost dreamy quality.
Quickly, you bring your other foot up and snatch the slipper off that one too. You don’t even register the sound of it hitting the floor as you press in on the base to massage both ends of him at the same time. A faltering groan slips out of delicately parted lips, and he tips his head back to sigh up at the ceiling in appreciation.
It’s a bit awkward like this, but you soon find a steady rhythm that has your feet moving over him in tandem while he sedately rolls his hips forward to fuck himself on the pads, arches and toes. Just as every other time it’s escalated to this, Baizhu shows no visible signs of uncertainty now and, in fact, he’s actually quite open about how much he’s enjoying it. You can see the deep rise and fall of his chest gradually become more pronounced, the muscles in his stomach flexing tight with each slow motion grind against your feet. He’s beautiful like this. Even more so than he usually is, and you idly wonder if he would allow himself to express his pleasure more vocally if it was just the two of you. No employees or snakes, or zombie children to potentially alert and interrupt the moment.
Maybe if you did well enough he would let you find out some day.
“Are you sure this is enough?” You finally venture to ask when his straining cock pulses eagerly under your toes. It was no exaggeration to say that you would have given him anything he wanted, no matter how strange or demeaning it may have been, but he only gives his head a distracted shake.
“Yes, dear, just like this is fine. More than fine, actually.” Drawing a shuddering breath, Baizhu brings his attention back down as he lifts a hand up to grasp your topmost foot. He takes a moment to covetously squeeze it, feeling along the skin before carefully guiding it towards his chest once again. “I don’t think I’m in any position to ask for more anyway, but this is plenty. I’m afraid I can’t seem to get enough of these cute toes of yours as it is.”
Your heart stutters a beat when he bends his head over your captured limb and instead of leaving it at just the kiss he reverently presses into the toes, he opens his mouth to lick over the thin layer of skin as well. The sensation makes you jolt, especially when he drags his tongue between the first two digits to attack the sensitive webbing inside. You seethe and try very hard not to yank your foot away when it tickles almost enough to make you squeal. Baizhu doesn’t appear all that concerned about it though, and he merely peers up at you from over the rim of his glasses. Watching your reaction, or perhaps gauging how much you could take before you couldn’t reasonably keep your voice in check any longer. Either way, he’d never taken it quite this far before and you had no idea what to make of it.
Not the fact he was doing it at all or the startling revelation that comes with it. You hadn’t expected the space between your toes to be this sensitive, and you shudder despite yourself.
“D - doctor …!”
He lets out a low sound of pleasure, warm breath puffing against damp skin as he reaches over with the opposite hand to grasp the foot still keeping his cock pinned. Fondling over it, he maintains his eye contact with you when he swipes his tongue between your toes a second time, and you really do almost recoil. You’d never felt anything quite like it before. Soft and warm, and squishy, and you really weren’t sure how you felt about it wriggling over your toes like that.
Pulling in a quiet gasp, you clutch the edge of the desk in a death grip while he grinds his throbbing cock against one foot and licks at the other. His breathing was quickly turning ragged, his cheeks a little flushed. It makes your head spin to see him like that, but somehow the borderline ticklish sensation of his tongue almost manages to distract you from it.
If he ever put his mouth on the spot between your legs like that …
“Ohh, goodness,” Panting, Baizhu hunches forward over your legs with a full bodied shudder. The motion of his hips falters for a split second and then morphs into something a bit more urgent. More needy. His cock stiffly works back and forth, back and forth across the soft arch of your foot, along the pad and up to nudge your toes before dragging back down again.
It’s not hard to imagine him rutting inside your body this way, and it pulls a low moan from the back of your throat. The sound seems to tip him over the edge and, brows knitting in deeply felt pleasure, he presses his mouth firm against the bottom of the foot he’s still clasping, hissing against the skin. His sputtering length gives a muted twitch. You can feel the dull, subsequent contractions that follow as it pumps out a thin jet of creamy fluid to coat your extremity, and then another. He goes still with one final spurt, issuing a frazzled, sensitive moan that quietly trails off into nothing.
The resounding silence is almost too much for you to bear.
“I’m sorry,” He wheezes at length, once he’s calmed his breathing down some. “I seem to have made quite a mess.”
“It’s alright.” Trying to keep your voice pleasantly even, you curl your toes down into the softening cock to lightly massage it. “As long as you feel good that’s all that matters. I’m just glad I can do something for you …”
Releasing a stilted exhale, he gingerly straightens up in his chair. You don’t miss the vague grimace that crosses his lovely face when he sees the sticky evidence of your illicit activities, and Baizhu softly tuts as he reaches into a pocket to withdraw a dainty handkerchief. He uses it to wipe up the clumpy mess with another soft word of apology, his hands gentle where they touch. Looking at him like that, bent over your feet and sincerely apologizing for something you’d talked him into doing, you once again find yourself being hit with a strange sense of guilt. It was only natural to want to thank him with such favors … wasn’t it?
So then why did you feel like you’d done something wrong?

27. survivor's guilt
what better day to conclude my little set of Xiao interludes?
-
No clear waking, for many hours after that - only drifting now and again to the surface of consciousness, pain and exhaustion a misty barrier between him and the faces and voices of those tending him. Morax was there, holding him, or tipping his head upward to meet a draught of medicine; Qiqi clambering up onto the bed next to him to help change the bandages wrapping his body and his stiff unmoving arm and leg; once even he thought he saw the Traveler wide-eyed at the foot of his bed, and their little flying companion handing a mass of qingxin blooms to Baizhu. Ganyu appeared, and left just as fleetingly, the whisper of her voice echoing behind her: he looks so dreadful, sir -
Yes, I know. But we can’t give up yet.
Each dose of medicine would grant him something like oblivion, but then before long the ache and pull of each breath tugged him upwards into the cold endless daze he floated in. He coughed, and coughing hurt even worse, as if a knife was stabbing up under his heart and lungs. He cried, and the tears burned in his eyes, and over and over there was a hand there to wipe them away, and that seemed the strangest and most wrong thing of all.
But slowly - over how long, he could not have said - the pain ebbed and lessened, and the world seemed a little more real and close when he was not sleeping. He was still hideously weak, or so he found when he tried once to lift his head and sit up; that attempt set black spots pulsing in front of his dizzy eyes, and before they cleared he had to fall back for lack of strength. That was at night, in the lamplight, and Qiqi called out to someone from where she sat by his bedside, but who came in response he could not recall.
Morning again, and Xiao woke with the daylight in his eyes for the first time in what felt like years. Every part of him still hurt, but the ache was the familiar healing ache of damaged bone and tissue, the cursed poison of the karmic debt only a dim echo now. He turned his head on the pillow, till he faced outward instead of up towards the faded plaster ceiling, and took a deep cautious breath in against the weight of the covers heaped up over him.
Morax sat there in the chair by his bed, his booted feet propped up on a wooden footstool, a book on his lap and a hand tucked between two pages. A few of the normally impeccable strands of his dark hair had fallen loose of their bunch, and shadowy circles were stamped underneath his eyes.
“You’re awake. We were - worried.”
“My lord.” His voice came out hoarse, unused, but steady at last. “I’m sorry to have caused you such - ”
“Nonsense, Xiao. If I didn’t want to be troubled, why would I be here?” Morax stood, then, setting aside his book in a flutter of watercolor-illumined pages. “I’m just glad to see you with us again. No - don’t try to sit up. Let me help you.”
He hadn’t expected any success, but it seemed worth trying. This time as he fell back it was into Morax’s steady and unsurprised grasp, and once again he had to accept the help because there was nothing else for it. Taken slowly, he could weather the dizziness, and open his eyes again to blink into the thin sunlight streaming through the paper shutters.
“The karmic debt was almost too much for you this time,” Morax murmured, above Xiao’s head. “I wish I could stay your sufferings, little Yaksha.”
Foolishness. Morax had already done so much, the idea of him feeling guilty for not doing more was ridiculous. Xiao coughed, his dry throat catching at his words as he spoke.
“Why should I not suffer too - when all of the others - ?”
When they were dead, dead in blind rage at each other’s hands or buried deep beneath the stones, their graves forgotten; when he had been the one who committed the worst crimes of all, and lived long enough by it to have Morax’s hand raise his head when he should have been crushed as well - what had he, Xiao Alatus, ever done that he would deserve to wake like this in the morning light with his Archon’s arms around him?
“If I could have saved more of you Yakshas, I would have,” Morax said, “and if others could have, then they should have as well. Not even an Archon can save everyone, Xiao. But - I’m glad that I could save you, at least.”
It wasn’t an answer, not really. Xiao swallowed hard, licking his parched lips. But not being able to save everyone - that much was true. And so was it, also, true that you had to try to save as many as you could - he had always known that, too…
But for now, Morax had leaned over to get a cup of water for him from the bedside table, and Baizhu’s footsteps sounded in the hall outside, and Qiqi’s quick patter behind him. There was no grief in the ley lines beneath the land today, only peace for the moment. And outside the window the sea-birds called, and the wind off the water snapped through the flags of the harbored ships - and perhaps there was enough light in the world to keep him anchored for a little while longer, come what may.
#genshin whump#whump#hurt comfort#well look at me getting this in before midnight#I have a cold so that's kind of damped my literary ardor#fun fact I have decided karmic debt feels like my anxiety-induced chest pain except worse#rl whump mention

idk how baizhu overtook lyney’s place bc he mad ugly 😒😒 (i have the biggest beef w baizhu and i prayed on his downfall even before his release)
idk who you’re talking about in the first part but like.. on the topic of baizhu:
it’s not really about his looks, more about his story and his nature. i admire his determination and dedication, even in the face of something that is damn near impossible — he says he wants to gain immortality because if he does not, either changsheng will die (without a contract holder), or those in the future taking baizhu’s place will continue to suffer and die early instead. despite having already been weak before he met changsheng, he continues to use her abilities to drain himself of health to help others. i honestly admire him and real people like him for that.
he’s also quite relatable to me, seeing as i deal with similar issues as he does. obviously they’re not.. as bad, not all of my organs are diseased (😭), but i still have my days i struggle to leave my bed and spend most of my life in pain.
i was reading his character story 5 the other day and i was like damn. it made me genuinely sad knowing his death is most likely imminent. partly because i love him, partly because he was so relatable to me. not that i’m worried about my own death, i haven’t been for a long time now, but that there are a lot of people out there going through similar issues that can tell or know they will die before they should and can’t do a thing about it. also the fact that, while he likely won’t die in game, we basically know he will far sooner than anyone else. it’s just. ugh. and just that desperation for immortality, something so unattainable, a cure, to save himself and changsheng and countless others now and in the future. it’s just.. it’s so bittersweet to me. it’s doomed, probably. it upset me as i was reading it, and that’s how i know a character’s lore is good smh. idk how to put all my feelings about him into words because it’s all very personal, so i’m sorry if this is incoherent 😭
also he’s also relatable in other ways. e.g. he is germ conscious !! look at him go he’s so cool!! i’d actually be able to hang out w/ him without dying
also he ^ is so me fr.
anyway no baizhu hate in my inbox 🙄🙄🙄 this is a baizhu loving blog. joking u can hate on him in asks if you want but i will make long ass arguments like this every time
#if ur praying on his downfall though… u might get it 💀#idk if he’s ever gonna achieve immortality…#😭

I gotta ask, how would the archons or anyone else react to reader being overwhelmed with being like a whole deity sudently. Cuz i fell like unless they wore a deity before it would be a loot to get used to.
Sorry if u already answered this i just got here and this queschon would not let me be. 😅
I AM SO SORRY THIS TOOK LIKE 3 MONTHS FOR ME TO ANSWER. I've been busy with school since I'm in senior high and will be off to college in 2 years (give or take).
Anyways, in my sagau, I do hc that the reader is human, so they'd most likely be overwhelmed with all the deity talk. Though, I firmly believe that the archons have a work-away around this.
First, they'll just give you the rundown of what's happening; most likely, you'll be disoriented. They'll let you adjust to the circumstance, teaching you about the current world little by little while caring for you and observing your behavior. Your existence within Teyvat itself will be kept as a secrecy until your mental state is stable enough that you won't go into shock from overstimulation. The list of people you interact with is also limited to ensure you don't get overwhelmed either. This list at least consists of Zhongli, Venti, Ei, Baizhu (who's in charge of weekly check-ups in case your body develops certain medical conditions from a difference in environment), and the adepti. Individuals who know of your existence outside of that list are Diluc, Ningguang, and Nahida. The dendro archon does know that you are in Teyvat but doesn't possess the capacity to visit or see you because of the work to be done in Sumeru after recent events.
The reader would only be exposed to the public after much deliberation and have well-adjusted to life in Teyvat for the most part. There would be some responsibilities for you after the proclamation that you are indeed the beloved god of all beings in Teyvat. These mostly consist of being a public figure and being a symbol for peace and unity such as doing charity work or making public appearances. You do hold some form of diplomatic power. You are able to influence governments and policies, but you don't create, instate, or abolish laws directly. It just feels or looks like it due to how willing people would bend to you.
Here comes the saying "with great power, comes great responsibility." At some point, you do have to take up the mantle of being a leader. You're not necessarily outgoing, charismatic, or strong, but you do fall into the role of being a ruler or leader. You have to think about the factors in which your actions can affect the world around you. You can bring seven nations to war on a whim and bring chaos to the lives of normal citizens, simply by swaying political opinions and government decisions. Or you can work out diplomatic meetings for countries to reach a compromise rather let them settle it through bloodshed. Overall, the title of being Teyvat's god doesn't mean you'll just sit around and be pampered all day (as lovely as that sounds), you still do have responsibilities, but you don't exactly work unless the situation is dire or intense.
This would definitely be more than overwhelming, especially if you aren't in a leadership role or don't have a very assertive personality. Hence, your services aren't enacted unless the safety of an entire nation is being threatened or the majority are suffering. In those cases, such as the vision hunt decree in Inazuma, you should be able to call for the abolishment of the decree because of public outcry. The archons would take care of such before it gets to that level because they don't want you to get stressed out. To them, your health is top priority. They don't delve into matters of nations they're not an archon of, but if it helps alleviate your situation, they'll do anything-- even if it is rather extreme.
Most likely, they'll even keep problems a secret and solve it themselves. You might not even notice anything's wrong with how well they might even deal with it. They don't like bringing any of their quarrels when they come see you either. Like mentioned in the past, there's a neutrality "rule" where it's a cease-fire in your presence. The moment you walk into the room, they have to act civil even if they don't want to get along. If the harbingers or the cryo archon ever come to visit, they leave the combat and grudges behind in favor of giving you all their care and attention. There might be animosity between Zhongli and Childe after the latter released an ancient god and almost flooded Liyue harbor; however, for your sake, they play nice. If they ever start acting up, just give them a look, and they'll stand down.
For any breakdowns from overstimulation, you're taken somewhere else that guarantees your privacy. You're taken back to your bedroom where only Zhongli and Baizhu are allowed to tend to you, and you'll stay there until they are assured of your good health. It'll be a few weeks as well until you're able to go out and return to your duties; even then, you're constantly monitored for a few days after that. At any sign of discomfort, the archons are quick to distract you from whatever makes you feel overwhelmed. They usually take you somewhere secluded and calm you down with soothing words and gentle touches. Venti plays his lyre and tells you tales from times long past. Zhongli keeps you in an embrace, shielding you away from the world for the time being. Ei does breathing exercises with you and suggests to try a bit of meditation once you're well enough.

𝐼 𝓌𝒾𝓈𝒽 𝐼 𝒸𝑜𝓊𝓁𝒹 𝓂𝑒𝓁𝓉 𝓁𝒾𝓀𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒾𝒸𝑒 𝒾𝓃𝓈𝒾𝒹𝑒
One foggy day, one fellow made it's way through an icy, misty path. To something, rather, some place unknown. It used to be lively, but what had happened? It fell through down below, until it was no longer habitable. It was something the five cherished until the domino effect. One fell, then the other, then another, and another.... but will they all fall down? Or will somebody be left standing?
While the fellow walked closer to her destination, she thought I hate it, why give me a vision to freeze but I can't even freeze time? I want to go back, before I... fell, back to my family, when I was warm, back when I was alive.. Then she reached her destination, the one that reminds her of so many memories she refuse to forget, but at the same time, the place that makes her feel misery.
She approached an extraordinary mushroom-like tree with large and lustrous leaves. Her and her friends were always amazed by this tree, that even when it's surroundings were as cold as death, it still lived. She then reached four square monuments with four circles at it's bottom. On top of those squares were a bomb that is shaped like an animal with ears sticking at either side. Another one was a circle with blue sparkles littering around it, as well as a paw engraved at the middle. On another square there was an egg-shaped ferret with a leaf on top. At the last square was a circle shaped bell with intricate designs. The four monuments spelled "K. D. S. Y." Symbolizing the first letters of her friends name.
At that place, she always hung out with them. Either individually or together. She remembered the times where they would set up a picnic and talk and talk until it was time to go. She missed those times, laughing and loving, without thinking the dangers of the world. Oh how she wished to feel carefree, even for a second. Those time when she would go fish blasting with Klee even though they're from a different nation. She would often go plant hunting with Yaoyao when Dr. Baizhu needs some, and when they're not they would go walk around the city hoping to find something to do. When Dr. Baizhu gave prescriptions to Anthony about Anna, she would always go with him, just to see Klee and Diona. She and Diona would always go and hunt down ingredients to experiment on the drinks. They would always have fun trying their newly made drinks. Yaoyao would often sneak her in The Crux sailing to Inazuma where she would meet up with Sayu, talking about things until they drift into a slumber. Oh how she missed those time when they talked without a care in the world.
"I miss all of you.." Qiqi said. "I wish you guys were still here with me, but I'm not that selfish to pull you in again in this monstrous world." She was blessed, no, cursed with an immortal soul. An idiot would say that it's great, but it's not, it means you would have to see your loved ones die and suffer with grief. Needless to say, she was a zombie, waiting to be sucked into the ground. She was growing impatient by the second. She was tired, she really was, Physically and mentally.
"I love all of you, even though you left me, I still do. You were always with me even when I didn't you to be. Thank you for sticking with me even though.... I-i forgot what to say next.. Sorry..:
"It's okay! We were almost finished anyway, before we can continue let's take a break shall we?" Jean said. The crew ordered foods which they can feast at, obviously. "Aww, there's no fish" Kayla exclaimed. "Don't worry, we can always order some later" Yassi said. "This drink tastes awful! Bleh" Diana gagged. "Are we done yet? I wanna sleep" Sally said with half-lidded eyes.
"I wish the script won't come true.." Qianna exclaimed
KAYLA = KLEE
YASSI = YAOYAO
DIANA = DIONA
QIANNA = QIQ
SALLY = SAYU

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE RIGHT GUY OF MY DREAMS.
Heavy TW: Open prayer + mood swings related content
To my spiritual instant big brother,
Please bear with me that I have mood swings and I've been battling it for almost six years and a lot of some guys are trying to trick me instead of saving me from my dark thoughts in days, months and years.
Every sleepless nights in despite of taking my medications, my heart and my mind are about to be get fragile into pieces everytime I hear your voice and you are crying out for God's help and I know you can feel me about my condition right now. I deeply heard you in my mind saying that "My heart goes to someone who have been suffered from anxiety, mood swings and depression. Please give us hope, dear Father and heal her fragile heart and her mind as You do. Embrace her." while your voice is cracking out and you cried until you can't continue to open up because I know you will be there for me. I can't wait to hug you if you feel the same way but I just really can't. It affects me too much.
If I am there to meet you one day, I am sorry. I cannot comfort you when I see you in pain. If a big brother from another mother cries thru prayer in God's presence, it affects me of course and never gonna lie. If ever I can meet you, someday we can play some games together. We can coop if you like. You can also invite me in your Church activities even tho we are in different beliefs and I hope you will be the best instrument coming from the one true God just for me. The reason why I decided to join one day it is not about my personal choice but I do have a purpose. To avoid toxicity to those people that can kills me in my mind to make me feel irritative.
Once I'll meet you and came into my life, and also a gamer who likes Genshin Impact the most, we can coop everyday. If you play Starrail, I'll choose you as my support. We can chat 24/7 whenever I am still wide awake or I cannot at the end of the day. In Genshin, I can be a Baizhu main then you will be a Neuvillette main so that we can be a bloom team reaction buddies. In Starrail, I can be an Imbibitor Lunae or Jingliu main, you will be a Luocha or Huohuo support then vice versa.
I pray and I hope that you will invite me in various activities in the Church as long as my family finally accepted it wholeheartedly and they will loved you the most. I hope you are the right person and my main reason why I can fight my anxiety. One day, I wish you will be my spiritual instant big brother to the man of my dreams and I need you for me to save me from all of my negative and dark thoughts that affects me in the past and you will give me hope to shine a light through.
Please appreciate this open letter and I hope you will accept it. If my whole fam finally accepts you in 100% way, we are beyond grateful. Our house is always open for you. Thank you for guiding me.
P.S: I am not an INC member but once we meet in the future, I am willing to share you my whole story. Thank you for reading this letter, my spiritual instant big brother and Neuvillette main. I hope I can trust you. 💙
Sincerely,
The future C6 Baizhu main who continuously researching in progress...

I forgot to include links to the tweets with the messages (for those who aren't on Twitter).
Enjou rizzing us with a secret rendezvous
"Judging from your expression... you haven't forgotten me, have you? What do you mean by "Abyss Lectors all look the same, come back in human form"? ...It seems the farewell gift I gave you at our last parting failed to leave a strong enough impression. I even went out of my way to pick some lovely flowers for you this time.
But our Highness knows not of my coming, so I can't help you pass on any messages. So, do you think you can forgive me at last? Oh, come now! Lower your weapon and let's talk this over..."
Baizhu being shy and bashful looking for a medical pretext to visit us (and Changsheng playing wingman)
"The weather has been rather sorry of late, and we've had more patients coming in as a consequence. Most have been suffering from wind-cold dampness, presumably because they haven't been looking after themselves properly..."
"Thinking of you and your outdoor escapades, I was worried that you might have been neglecting your health too. So, seeing as I had some free time today, I decided to come over and check in on you." "It seems like my concerns were misplaced, though. Despite how long it's been since we last saw one another, you're still looking as healthy and energetic as ever."
"...Instead of just rabbiting on like this, will you hurry up and hand it over! I've already fallen asleep and woken up again, but somehow the cake you were planning on giving the Traveler is still in your hand!"
I’m a feral screaming mess right now because they not only gave us Baizhu White Day art but also Enjou!!! AM I DREAMING? THEY REALLY GAVE ME BOTH OF MY NEGLECTED HUSBANDS?!?!
Look how fucking silly this guy is!
#on my knees#baizhu#enjou#enjou my beloved#the thing calling itself enjou#pyro abyss lector#white day#Enjou has no business being so confident#Also it's really cute that Baizhu isn't so direct with his feelings

Celebrating 600+ Followers
i can’t believe i’m writing another celebration post less than two days after my first
this has been rotting in my head all day and might become a series in the future
Genshin Impact x F!Reader | Modernish AU | warning: it’s cute!
“I hope you don’t mind, we gave you a student teacher as well. It’s only fair since you were given the most troublesome class,” Headmistress Ping smiled at you warmly.
“Ah,” You nodded, “Thats fine.”
The elder woman patted your back, “Genshin Academy is truly lucky to have you. Your track record is impressive and you have an extremely rare vision. I think you’ll get along fairly well with Mr. Aether, he’s a good kid.”
You smiled at her, honored by her words. Genshin Academy, the elite and prestigious school, had taken you as a teacher. The education system was impressive and diverse, teaching elementary to college aged students. You were given the first year elementary school students and now a student teacher as well. No matter how troublesome the class may be, having assistance would be appreciated. If it didn’t, the extraordinary pay would make up for any issues you had.
The older woman walked you to the doors of the building and then left you to prepare yourself. Clutching your class roster, you stepped in and made your way to your classroom. When you entered your room, you were greeted by a young blonde man. He introduced himself as your assistant teacher and made some small talk before leaving you to prepare for the day. You appreciated his thoughtfulness as you tidied the room up a bit, smiling at your class pet, Dvalin.
Soon enough, the children poured in and greeted each other and you. Aether returned to the room, beaming at each child. You took attendance, ticking off each name as they all answered. Qiqi, Teucer, Klee, and Diona seemed to be the most lively of them all. They were also marked with asterisks as the worst “troublemakers” but so far things were running smoothly.
“Welcome, my name is Miss Bright,” You beamed at the children, “Let’s have a good year, okay?”
“Wow, you’re very pretty Miss Bright!” An energetic Teucer exclaimed.
Klee squealed, “I’m so excited!”
Diona scoffed and Qiqi nodded in agreement. You went through the motions, following your detailed curriculum perfectly. There were two separate general subjects, academics and control. One was simple enough, teaching the kids by the book. The other was all about assisting your students in controlling and growing their abilities as vision users.
By the end of the day you were exhausted. Soon enough the week flew by. As Friday came, you were exhausted. Most people had made these kids out to be terrible and mischievous, and in some ways they were. Yet, you had already grown very fond of all of them. They were much more tame than you had expected, save for some explosions and outbursts. Now you were stuck as some of the children were late being picked up.
“I hope my big brother gets a girlfriend like Miss Bright. She’s so nice and pretty.” You overheard Teucer whisper to the last three kids.
“Oh yeah!” Klee’s whispers weren’t whispers at all, “She’s like a princess. My brother is a prince. I wish he’d marry Miss Bright.”
“Tch,” Diona intervened, “Honestly, I wish Miss Bright had adopted me instead of that annoying man at home.”
“Qiqi thinks Xiao and Zhongli would like Miss Bright a lot.”
You giggled at their words, they were too sweet. Aether chuckled overhearing them as well and waving you off.
“Go finish up your paperwork, I’ll take care of them.” The cheerful blonde nearly pushed you out the door.
You sighed and made your way to the office up front. Paperwork was such a drag, not nearly as fun as over hearing those brats gossiping. The paperwork ended up taking up the rest of your time. By the time you were done you wanted to scream. As you left the office, a handful of coworkers approached you and invited you out. No was not an option as they insisted you let them treat you.
You were exhausted as they led you to their favorite bar. Aether followed like a lost puppy and you sighed.
“You can’t drink can you?” You questioned him.
“Ahhh,” Aether started but was interrupted.
“It’s fine! I know the owner. He doesn’t have to drink he can just babysit us.” Venti exclaimed.
Poor Aether couldn’t get out of it either. Once you entered the bar, things blurred. Immediately, your coworkers bought you many drinks. Venti was especially aggressive about drinking. The short music teacher was babbling to an extremely handsome bartender with vibrant red hair.
The scarlet haired man seemed to be a bit annoyed by the drunken chaos ensuing. Amber was giggling crazily and the school nurse, Baizhu had cornered a tall man with amber eyes, and Ganyu was petting you. Aether was awkwardly fidgeting, stone cold sober. Eventually, your poor student teacher ended up having to call a cab and carry you home. He was forced to try and navigate to your cozy apartment by unlocking your phone with your drunken face. It took way too many attempts.
You awoke the next day with a pounding headache and over a hundred notifications. The night was still a blur so you proceeded to try and take care of yourself. Aether was kind enough to go out and buy you some pain medicine and left it on your counter with your keys. It was embarrassing how you couldn’t find any memories of your adventures in liquor.
The weekend flew by until Sunday night came and your phone buzzed. You looked down and horror filled your body. Tomorrow was parent conferences. It wasn’t mandatory for parents but encouraged. Suddenly, you were tearing through your apartment trying to prepare for the upcoming doom.
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Before you knew it, parent conferences were upon you. Aether wasn’t attending because it wasn’t mandatory and you insisted he go home and rest. He had done so much for you already, you didn’t want him to suffer through it with you. You looked up as somebody knocked on your class door and opened it to see two beautiful blondes.
“Hello, is this Miss Bright’s room?” The woman’s blue eyes met yours.
“Yes,” You held your hand out, “Hello, I’m Miss Bright.”
The woman shook your hand, “I am Jean, Klee’s guardian. This is her older brother Albedo.”
The young man’s beautiful eyes bore into you as he shook your hand. You stepped aside and gestured to the tables in your room. The two took their seats and almost immediately a tall red haired man sauntered up to you.
“Hello!” His tone was cheerful, “I’m Childe, Teucer’s older brother!”
“A pleasure to meet you, Childe. I am Miss Bright.”
“Ah,” a crooked smile formed on his lips, “The pleasure is all mine. You are just as beautiful as Teucer claimed.”
You blushed and laughed nervously, but before you could answer he was shoved into your room. He turned to glare at the two dark haired men in the doorway. Huffing, he found his way to a table and sat.
“So annoying.” The shorter of the two men scowled.
The taller one sighed, “Hello, Miss Bright. My name is Zhongli, and this is my cousin Xiao. We are Qiqi’s foster family.”
Xiao stomped past you, Zhongli followed him quickly. You didn’t have time to introduce yourself to either of them before they sat down.
“How rude,” A smooth voice came from your door.
Two men stood there, a tan man with dark hair and a very familiar red head. Internally, you groaned at the sight of the bartender. It was going to be a long conference wasn’t it? You were glad you had organized your agenda so well.
“Diluc. Guardian of Diona, and this is my brother Kaeya.” The redhead said almost sternly.
He strolled through the doorway to sit at a table, all four families spread out. Kaeya winked at you and followed his brother. Now you were sure the night would be long.
No other families came, and you were left alone with the strange bunch. In the back of your mind, you were thinking of your roster and the asterisks. The irony in all of it was that the troublemaker’s parents were the only ones who showed. The room was quiet, families only talking among themselves. You cleared your throat and introduced yourself once more, starting in to your very planned speech.
A short time had passed but it felt like years to you. You felt incredibly awkward but continued on. Childe raised his hand which nearly made you laugh but you contained your amusement and paused.
“Yes?” You called out to him.
The lanky man smirked, “I’m sorry but what sort of vision do you use?”
“I will address that later on.” Your voice was kind but also stern.
This response earned several looks from the families listening. All of a sudden, their full attention was on you. The change of atmosphere had put you on edge. You tried to continue on but Childe stood abruptly.
“That’s an interesting response.” He chuckled.
“Tartaglia!” Jean intervened, “Thats enough.”
Kaeya kicked his feet up on the table, “You can’t say you’re not curious though, right? It’s only natural we want to know. This school has just as much focus on vision skills as academic skills.”
You were beginning to grow irritated. The children were more respectful than the adults. Composing yourself, you sighed. Nobody denied Kaeya’s words, although Zhongli and Jean seemed to disapprove of the attitude.
“As i said before i will-“ you were interrupted again by an arrow of water, you easily side stepped it.
Jean stood, sword in hand and glared at Childe. Diluc shoved his brother’s feet off the table and scowled. Albedo yawned while Xiao clicked his tongue. Zhongli merely observed the scene. Childe cackled at Jean which only angered her more as she dove at him.
You opened your mouth to say something but were forced to dodge a cold sword. Kaeya grinned at you but was yanked back by Zhongli. The room was in utter chaos. You gritted your teeth and once more tried to remain calm. Another arrow narrowly missed your ear and you felt yourself become enraged. Kaeya dodged Zhongli and thrust his sword at you but was stopped by a sharp pillar of light.
“That’s enough.” Your voice was cold as you used your own weapon to shove the pushy cryo wielder away from you.
As if by magic, suddenly everyone stopped to stare at you. Quickly, they sat down. Albedo’s eyes were alert now, he was suddenly interested in every word you had to say. Even Xiao seemed to have a better attitude.
You continued your speech without any further interruptions. Finally, the end was in sight.
“And to answer your earlier question,” You pushed your hair back behind your ear to reveal your vision on an earring, “I am a light wielder. I will not take any questions on it. Have a wonderful night and thank you for coming.”
You turned and exited your classroom quickly as murmurs spread across the room. Light visions were only gifted to those who were recognized by multiple gods. Light was a strange element that could mold itself and change to take shape of different elements, although it wasn’t perfect. Elemental mastery took a lot of time and the light could only bend to your will for short periods of time. Using light as anything other than itself could backfire easily. Ontop of the many complications, attaining a light vision meant going through a crisis so terrible that multiple gods had to intervene. It was a blessing and a curse.
As you headed home, shivers ran down your back. You couldn’t help but feel that you were being watched or followed. You shook it off and returned home. It was just paranoid thoughts after a rough night.
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
After the conference, you seemed to be plagued by the families. Outside of work you ran into them constantly. It was nerve wracking.
“Miss Bright, Teucer loves you so much. He’d love to see you on the weekend. We could get lunch and then have a play date with him. What do ya say?” Childe grinned at you as you exited your classroom.
“Sorry, sir” An arm slid around your shoulders, “But i’m afraid she has plans for this weekend.”
You looked up to see the school librarian with a tight smile. Lisa was so kind, saving you from his shameless flirting. Although, she often seemed to flirt with you as well. You couldn’t really tell if she was being nice or flirting though.
He scowled and turned. Lisa laughed and squeezed you tighter. She escorted you out of the building, telling you about the new books the library had just received. Her eyes twinkled as you laughed at her puns and asked her questions about being a librarian.
“Excuse me,” A deep voice said “May I have a moment of Miss Bright’s time?”
You turned to see Zhongli, one of the only reasonable guardians you’d met. So far you’d not seen him after the meeting so you felt safer around him. Even Jean had appeared before you several times, though it didn’t seem intentional. You weren’t entirely sure but you’d swore you’d even seen Xiao lurking around when you were out.
“Of course,” You waved Lisa off.
She frowned and kissed your cheek before sauntering off. Zhongli raised his eyebrows as you laughed, clearly embarrassed. The nerve of that woman sometimes.
“Sorry, she’s a friend but she’s very affectionate,” you apologized quickly.
“Hm,” Zhongli nodded and stared at you intently, “I’m sorry to bother you but is there a way I could schedule another meeting with you? I would like to hear about Qiqi’s progress.”
Your heart nearly melted. He was so kind and it was refreshing.
“Of course! How about this weekend?” You beamed at him.
The two of you scheduled a conference lunch and parted ways. From afar, Diluc grimaced. He was curious about Diona’s behavior in school. She was a very moody child. Furthermore, he was curious about you. Kaeya had also pestered you for a date so the scarlet haired man was trying to find the right time to ask you. He didn’t want to come off the way he was sure Kaeya did.
“I would also like to attend the meeting.” Xiao announced to Zhongli once he got into the car.
“Too bad,” Zhongli chuckled “It’s one on one, you’ll have to schedule your own.”
Xiao huffed at his words. He disliked the idea of the two of you doing anything one on one. He couldn’t decide whether he was jealous of you or Zhongli. He decided it was you, since both Qiqi and Zhongli seemed to be infatuated with you. He clicked his tongue, Zhongli merely smiled, and Qiqi demanded coco goat milk.
“Does she like science?” Albedo questioned Klee.
“Miss Bright likes a lot of things I think.” Klee said, ice cream smeared on her face.
“I want to know more.” Albedo stated.
Klee grinned, “More ice cream?”
Albedo nodded, only hoping Jean wouldn’t catch them.
This new job had many opportunities open up for you. With so many people in pursuit of you, who would you choose?

Theory: Baizhu is...?
Disclaimer: this is a theory, it doesn't have to be true, if its false, don't blame me, I warned you beforehand
Also, take this with humor and not to seriously
And spoilers of Liyue's or Xiao's lore
Ok let's begin with this
It seems that Baizhu is an outlander like Albedo or Amber's grandfather (just examples, they had nothing to do with this) but he does have a vision, a Liyuan one, but Zhongli didn't seem to know about him... So he is probably of Liyue or he has more than he looks like
So either Baizhu is a snake like creature (like a lamia), or is he an Adeptus?
Exhibit 1: let's take a look to his face
Author, more close
His face seems familiar... Were did I see it? Oh wait-
They had the same make up, and believe me when I said that almost all the Adepti use the same make up (only Madame Ping and Mountain Shaper (I think)) use that type
Also, Xiao and Baizhu have the same pupils
Ok, maybe I'm wrong but as I said before, don't take this seriously, but if it's true I f-ing called it
Exhibit 2: Baizhu's sickness
If you have Qiqi or talk with Herbalist Gui, you'll know that Baizhu has a sickness that made him frail, Qiqi mentions that even tho she's a zombie, she's much better than Baizhu
So why this is important?
I don't know what sickness he has but if this is true, I may know were he got his sickness
'Some of the archons' souls were filled with bitterness at their fate, and refused to suffer it any longer. Their bitterness materialized and became evil monsters. The monsters' rage manifested itself in the form of diseases, monster infestations, and all kinds of other strange occurrences' is a little extract of the book Yakshas: The Vigilant Adepti, you can see were this is going
So, I think Baizhu was a Yaksha, to be more precise, Bosacius
If you did the Yaksha's wish, you'll know that Bosacius was the missing Yaksha, and is presumably dead
In this quest you encounter his statement, were he leaves his wealth to the one that's fated to it, in simple terms, you
So, this is my theory, Bosacius was contaminated by the corruption and disease, so once his duties were done, he would end his suffering, but he might failed and/or was saved by Changsheng
If this is true, Changsheng might be like Qiqi, someone who has Adeptal energy or because an Adepti, but my only exhibits with this are that she can speak, that she's been with Baizhu for a very long time and that she's diurnal
But hey, before you said 'BuT oZ iS-!' Oz is probably a manifestation of Fischl's vision's powers
Either way, at some point, Bosacius changed his name to Baizhu and at some point meet Changsheng, later open (or began to work at) the Bubu Pharmacy, he took Qiqi in, while trying to cure his disease, hint why Herbalist Gui tell us that he's ill since they first met til today and hasn't gone better
And if you look at Baizhu for the very first time, would you tell me that he's sick? Because for me, he isn't
Now this could apply to Rouran but we 'haven't' met him nor have a model of him, neither more information about him other than he's male, the owner of Pearl Galley, we meet him without noticing, and that he is physically frail
So that it, that's the theory
I'm going to admit that I was planning on taking about his medicines because they mentioned that they are traditional, and I thought 'oh! Maybe Guizong showed him how to made them?'
Anyways, sorry for not posting here (I decided to work on many oneshots and never finished them), many things happened but I got a Diluc (in Zhongli's banner (yay!)) a Jean, Wolf's gravestone and another Mona (got one earlier) on the Wanderlust Invocation while trying to get the Primordial Jade-wingded Spear for Xiao and thanking Paimon that I don't need any 4 star of Ganyu's banner nor their constellations, and I don't want Ganyu honestly (for now) I waited since the beginning for Xiao and I will get him
Have a great day/night, stay safe, take care of your self and good luck with your pulls
And for the Xiao's simps or stans, keep going! We only need to suffer for like 20 days before his banner (if he goes first (which I hope so))
Edit 1 (18/1/2021) (don't know how many edits this will have):
Thanks for the likes, this literally blew up, and I really wanted to say that I appreciate it
Anyways, this edit is short because I just saw Baizhu's vision and a little thought I had so
Exhibit 3: Baizhu's vision
That vision chain thing and Xiao's shoulder pad (?) look so similar (for me) that I actually suffer through an Mandela effect (I thought that Baizhu's vision chain was identical to Xiao's shoulder pad)
This doesn't add to much but I kinda find it curious (if you want, picture me with the clown wig and make up, I don't blame you)
By the way, the daughter that Huixin mentions she has is Yaoyao? Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me, someone tasked Ganyu to take care of her, and that someone is working in the Ministry of civil affairs, and the first thing that comes in my mind if you ask me of someone who's Ganyu's underling, the first thing that comes to my mind is Yaoyao, if it's true tho... I called it!

𝐛𝐚𝐢𝐳𝐡𝐮 is a very well known and respectable man in the city of liyue. his knowledge over vast amount of herbs and the art of medicine is renowned at bubu pharmacy. often times you find yourself walking inside and are immediately greeted with the sweet earthly essence that is burning on a nearby table.
it’s fragrance made you feel calmer and light as a feather compared to how you felt prior entering —your heart was pounding erratically in your chest, an intense blush forming as you thought of the owner of bubu pharmacy. he’s charming and his flattery always got to you in the worse ways possible, unable to form words on your tongue.
today was different, you were bringing in a few medicinal herbs he had requested for you to go pick. you managed to find what he needed but had other plans in mind, this was the perfect time for you to ask him to go out on a stroll with you down in liyue’s harbor. your heart was set on it, as today was a beautiful warm sunny day much like how your heart was feeling in your chest. you eagerly greeted qiqi and herbalist gui at the front desk, a bright smile forming across your lips.
“where’s dr. baizhu?” qiqi glanced at gui, unsure where he went to as well.
“oh! he had to visit a patient nearby, it seems their ailments had gotten worse recently.”
your eyes softened as your fingers played with weaves of the basket in your hands. he’s such a kindhearted and compassionate man.. knowing that he suffers from his own ailments, he proceeds to go out of his way and visit sickly patients at their homes. he would do anything to help, you remembered walking into the pharmacy one early morning and found him crouched down to a little girls height.
you’ve seen her a few times, baizhu has mentioned that she was very ill and needed to take special medicine and vitamins to boost her health. often times she refused, it was always bitter taste and knowing how most children are—they hate bitter things. she promised to take her medicine as long as baizhu was the one to give it to her, since he’s always been so kind to her.
this was one of the many reasons you’ve fallen hopelessly for the man.
“e-excuse me..?”
your eyes widened once you realized you were daydreaming and immediately snapped back to your senses. you bowed apologizing to the customer before asking if they needed assistance with anything.
“oh no it’s alright, no worries! i-if i may be so bold.. i was hoping you would go on a date with me?”
your eyes widened into the size of saucers and you became flustered.
“i’m sorry, you are just so breathtaking.”
you smiled and layed them down gently. you explained to them that your heart is with someone else but to your dismay the flirtatious customer refused to back down.
“surely you can do better, what are you doing haunting around this stuffy pharmacy? i can take you somewhere nice for dinner!”
you were becoming uncomfortable by the millisecond and wished for the customer to leave already but you felt nervous. before you were given a chance to speak again, warm hands were gently placed on your shoulders and you froze.
“is there anything i can help you with? if not i would like to kindly ask you leave my lotus alone.”
your heart started beating violently in your chest and you could’ve sworn you left your body to celestia. the customer scurried off in haste, leaving you dumbfounded.
baizhu tsked before turning to you, “i hope i didn’t leave you waiting to long darling.”
before you could register what was going on and the sweet name he’s given you, he gently took hold of your hand and pulled you out of the pharmacy.
“now, i believe today’s weather is wonderful! we should take this chance and have some fun, no?”
your heart wouldn’t give you any rest as it fluttered like a crystalfly waiting to be freed from the confines of your chest.
you giggled and squeezed his hand, “let’s go!”
