memorising their favourite things and treating them when they have a bad day for peterpatterlina plz!
Also tagging @jmrothwell, who asked for this prompt for any pairing, and @innytoes, who asked for it and Reggie/Anyone (it's probably not exactly what you had in mind but I got stuck on Julie being the one who had the bad day)
Julie trudges to her locker, wishing she could simply crawl inside it and power down like some kind of robot. She's really not in the mood…
"Julie!"
…for rehearsal. She bites back a sigh.
Luke and Reggie flank her locker, bouncing on their toes, and Julie just gives them a tight smile, sure that anything she'd say would be too sharp, or it would disappoint them, somehow.
Reggie falters, his own smile going wobbly with uncertainty. Luke, however, is unfazed, and he leans in closer, effectively blocking her from getting into her locker.
"What?" she huffs, crossing her arms.
"We were just thinking that—it's Friday, and we should take a break. Get some snacks, watch some Buffy—"
"Paint our nails!" Reggie chimes in with renewed enthusiasm. "Just hang out."
Julie arches her eyebrows. Her eyes jump from one of them to the other before her gaze finally settles on Luke.
"Really? Reggie, I can maybe believe, but Luke? You want to take a break from rehearsing? For 'girl stuff'?"
"Yes?"
He scrambles to say more as she scowls.
"Okay, maybe that's not exactly what I want. But we know you had a rough day! And we want to make it better. If that means taking a break from music to treat you—then we will. You're more important."
Julie can't help it. She softens her stance.
"Guys…you'd really do that? For me?"
"Course we would, Jules," Reggie says warmly, wearing his widest, crookedest grin. He winks. "Special gals deserve some special treatment now and then."
A giggle escapes before she can stifle it, but Luke drowns it out when he speaks, extra loud in his own brand of enthusiasm.
"Exactly! Plus, Alex and Willie would probably love to replace our usual rehearsal time with a date. It's a win-win."
Julie smiles at the ground, then glances at them through her lashes. "Well…alright."
They whoop and cheer, and she gives them five seconds to bask in their victory.
"Can I get into my locker now, though?"
They freeze, flush, and stammer before finally scrambling out of the way, and Julie's laughter carries down the hall. She has to admit…she's feeling better, already.
"You really know how to spoil a girl," she tells them later, accepting a grape from Luke, who's snuggled into her side, watching Buffy with…minimal complaints.
Reggie looks up from painting her toenails.
"Not any girl. Just you, Julie."
Luke hums in agreement, and Julie can't look at him. The affection in Reggie’s eyes alone is already too much, because…
There's no way they mean that the way it sounds, that they care for her the way she cares for them. It…it can't be that simple.
But then Luke says, "He's right, boss. You're the only one we want to do this sort of thing for. Because—"
"Oh—you couldn't have waited until I was done with her toes?" Reggie asks exasperatedly, because…oops.
She giggles nervously and stops squirming, allowing him to continue without getting any more paint on her skin.
"Sorry, Reggie."
Luke just squawks. "I couldn't have waited? You cut right to the heart of it!"
Julie holds up a finger, stalling the bickering. "Are we calling this a date?"
"That's how you cut to the heart of it," Reggie says through a grin. "I vote yes."
They look to Luke. He shrugs.
"We can take you somewhere, if you'd rather do something more—dynamic."
Reggie hums knowingly. Julie just laughs.
"Is that what you actually want to do?"
Luke splutters. "I—today's about you!"
"Tomorrow, then. How's that sound?"
"Yeah," he says dazedly. "Yeah, okay."
And by the time their official date rolls around…she’s forgotten about the terrible start to her weekend entirely.

Luke Attack
Summary: Reader keeps pushing Luke's buttons and unexpectedly gets what they deserve
Warnings: a LOT of tickling (like if you don't like it I wouldn't recommend reading this)
...........................................
The garage slowly started to empty. Julie had to do homework. Reggie probably went to go follow Ray. And soon enough Alex left, which left just you and Luke.
You twirled one of Alex’s drumsticks and stared up at the ceiling. “Do you ever wonder where drums originated from?” you asked.
Luke paused putting the equipment away to look at you, “What?” he asked, fighting not to laugh.
“I don’t know, like they are super cool sounding now, but like what if the first they just kinda put some materials together and it didn’t even make a noise?”
Luke laughed and shrugged. “A little random, but you’ve got a point.”
You continued twirling the stick for a couple seconds, but you realized it wasn’t quite entertaining enough.
“Hey, Luke?”
“Yeah?”
“Why do you have so many muscle shirts?”
He glanced at you, unsure of where this was going.
You leaned your back against the couch. “I’m just saying you don’t have to flex on us all the time.”
He cocked his head at you. “You’ve definitely stolen my shirts before.”
He had a point. But you weren’t trying to make a point. You couldn’t care less about his fashion choices; you were just trying to annoy him.
“Yeah, but at least I didn’t squeak at the last show.” You arched your eyebrows, challenging him.
He turned towards you and pointed an accusatory finger. “You were right next to me, you know that was the mic.”
You pursed your lips in an attempt to mimic confusion. “Mhmm, I don’t know if I believe that.”
Luke jerked his head up and took a few steps toward you with a potentially intimidating look in his eyes.
He leaned down to get in your eyesight from the couch. “You know that’s a lie.”
You shrugged, but you couldn’t help the small grin appearing on your face. “Maybe but I mean, we could never know for certain.”
Luke jutted out his chin, “Oh really, because I seem to remember Julie having a video of you falling off a stage.”
You unfortunately felt the heat rising to your face. “Hey, that was one time!” you exclaimed.
Luke chuckled and slyly smirked. “That’s what I thought.” He did a 180 and walked back to the other side of the garage.
Despite you being slightly flustered, you weren’t going to forget your mission.
“At least I didn’t break one of Ray’s plates.”
Luke back peddled and did another 180. “You were there, we watched Reggie do it.”
You met his gaze and tried not to squirm. “I seem to recall you being awfully close to the incident, to be completely innocent.”
He cocked his head at you and stared you down with a sort of fire in his eyes. “I was telling Reggie to stop messing with the plate.”
“I don’t know, seems a little bit sus to me.”
Luke slowly approached you, as he still held eye contact. And even though you watched him the whole time you still were trying to work out what had just happened as you felt hands gliding across your stomach.
You squirmed around like a fish in water before exploding into a giggle fit.
“I knew you were ticklish!” Luke yelled in delight.
“Nononononon Lhuhuke!” you protested.
“What, is someone just a little too ticklish to be starting arguments?” He tilted his head as if he was waiting for a legitimate answer.
Unsurprisingly, the only answer he got out of you, was the middle finger.
Luke chuckled at that but it soon turned to an evil grin. “Oh I think you are definitely too ticklish to be snarky.”
His hands snuck their way up into your armpits and began to roam.
Luke was grateful that the garage had somewhat thick walls, because someone might have thought you were being killed by the scream that came out of your mouth.
You would’ve tried to come up with some sort of remark towards him but the claws in your hallows made it impossible to focus on anything but laughing.
But, through your tickle haze you heard Luke speak. “I’ll make you a deal, if you tell me where the rest of your spots are I just might leave your armpits alone. If not, well I’m not in a hurry to go anywhere.”
He slightly let up for you to talk.
You decided that the consequences of telling him would be future you’s problem. “Fhehet, bahahck of thihighs, ahahand nehehck!”
“That was a big mistake, but I guess you didn’t have much of a choice huh?”
Oh he was grinning now.
Before you could even think about moving he already had your shoes and socks off.
“Maybe next time you’ll think twice before being a little shit,” he playfully teased.
He then did a test swipe across your toes, which he almost got kicked in the face for. He readjusted his grip in one hand and scribbled on a toe on the other hand.
Your body couldn’t control where it was going. Luke was surprised you didn’t fall off the couch. You howled in laughter and you would occasionally cackle as he lightly scribbled across your toes.
As a last ditch effort to maintain some of your quip you yelled, “fuhuUHUHck yhohouhu!”
Luke raised his eyebrows in surprise before turning to an amused smile. “I would maybe choose your words a little bit better next time you’re in this position.”
His hands quickly headed up to your stomach and armpits and you realized the error in your ways; but it was too late now.
You shrieked before descending into silent laughter. One of hands curled in and out across your stomach as the other spidered at your armpits. You squirmed around but he had you tightly pinned, you weren’t getting out of this, easily.
“I GIHIHIVE!” you screeched.
Luke chuckled at your predicament. “Oh you give now, not when you were trying to pick a fight?” he mocked.
“YEHEHES IIHIM SHOREHEY!”
He decided you had enough and let up on the tickling. He still sat on top of you as you caught your breath. Eventually, he slid off. He almost turned around but quickly squatted down next to you to pull your shirt up a little bit.
Before you could stop him, you felt his wet lips touch your stomach; and he blew as hard as humanly possible. You screeched and then giggled as your back arched, which coincidentally brought you closer to the ticklish vibrations.
“Sorry just had to try that,” he apologized, not sounding very apologetic at all.
He looked over at you and almost giggled himself at your giggly sleepy state.
“Come on, I’m carrying you back to your house.”
“No, Luke, someone could see me floating,” you protested.
“Do you really want to try to start another fight with me?” he asked. He wiggled his fingers at you ominously.
Your eyes widened in fear. “NO-nononononon! Nevermind, you can carry me.”
Luke laughed, and picked you up bridal style.
Let’s just say, he knew how to win against you now.

Abandoned 7
Summary: Sweet Pea/reader Soulmate AU- the first sentence say about your soulmate is tattooed on their body
This is the seventh piece in the Abandoned Series and this imagines continuation can be provided by: two or more requests for it in the askbox
You turn your alarm off tugging on your running shoes and workout gear as you make your way to school and to track practice. You’re just finishing up your last lap when you spot Kevin waiting by the bleachers after wrestling.
“Hey Kevin, what’s up?”
“So you know the musical we’re working on?” You nod stretching as he talks. “Do you think you can help with costuming?” You stare at him for a moment.
“You don’t have to I just-“
“Kevin, of course. It’s no trouble. When do you need everything by? Any idea what I should bring costume wise or-“ Kevin doesn’t respond, hugging you.
“Kevin get off you’re sweaty from wrestling!” you struggle in his grip as he sighs relieved.
You were relieved he had asked you to help with the costumes, instead of asking for you to audition; you preferred to work behind the scenes, letting anyone else funnel the praise and attention away from you. You know there’s no popularity contest, either way Cheryl would win it, no one can resist her; it’s just you much preferred the ease and anonymity of the background. Blending into the crowd and doing small favors when needed. Let everyone else handle the big events; you were just happy to stock extra papers and work on the musical’s behind the scenes. Still what you knew to be your first words from your soulmate brought you comfort. Definitely understand why you’re considered Northside royalty. You wouldn’t consider yourself anything close to royalty from the Northside; your family was only slightly above the financial line in need of moving to the Southside; in addition to living just off the bridge towards it. Still you enjoyed the thought that your soulmate was hopefully going to appreciate you from the start, something you usually had to earn or at least remind other people of.
Kevin was insistent that you help him with the script and set-up for Heathers, after Cheryl had changed it, you knew he’d been dreading announcing the change, apparently Evelyn hadn’t taken it well and refused to help him produce a “musical with such violent and un-farm like ideals” Which is how you found yourself awake at five am, hauling a box filled with potential costumes into the theatre.
“Thanks, you’re an angel.” You laugh at Kevin shaking your head.
“Honestly it’s no problem Kev; I was awake anyways and never miss an opportunity to go thrifting and digging through old clothes.” He beams and pulls another box from the stack you’ve left outside the door, you turn back pulling the last box in.
“You think you can help with the sound check?” He starts to pout at you and you snort.
“If you don’t mind listening to my off key singing.” He rolls his eyes shoving a microphone into your hand.
“We have most people already cast, so we just need to fine tune it and make sure everyone can be heard, which is where you come in, I’ll just cue the track and-“
“I sing; I got the gist Kev.” He offers you a thumbs up and you smile as you hear the track to Dead Girl Walking start playing. You hum before starting you sing, half dancing across the stage laughing as you finish.
“How was that?” You turn startled to see more of Kevin’s friends lounging in the chairs, you wave to Reggie before jumping from the stage.
“So who’s cast?”
“Well we have Cheryl as Heather C, myself as Heather D, Josie as Veronica, Veronica as Heather M, and Sweet Pea as JD so far, you want to audition?” You nod smiling at Betty who lists off everyone. Kevin nods turning to talk to Betty and you busy yourself unpacking some of the boxes, until Kevin see’s you and starts to scold you.
“Seriously Y/N you’ve done more than enough, go get some coffee or a muffin please, watching you work is just making me feel more indebted to you.”
“Kevin it’s my pleasure, anyway I can help. It’s what I love to do, trust me.” You smile nodding as you point him towards the snack table you helped set up earlier.
“I made the blueberry ones by the way.” His eyes light up as he looks at them.
“With the crumble topping?”
“Of course.” You nod and pull another shirt out grabbing a hanger to put it on the current costume rack.
“Definitely understand why you’re considered Northside royalty.” You can hear Kevin and Betty gasp, they know your words, you turn unsure how you’re going to respond, the words falling from your lips as you take in the Southside Serpent standing in front of you, holding one of the muffins you made, bite taken out of it.
“Wow I guess what they say about the devil is true then, he does come dressed as everything you want.” You laugh a little and you can see Fangs cheering. Sweet Pea just stares at you.
“Because you’re playing the dick guy in Heathers.” You state and he nods.
“Sorry I just.” He shrugs and you tilt your head.
“Not how you were expecting that to be said then?” He laughs nodding.
“Yeah, I’m sure the same goes for you?”
“To be fair I spent half my childhood expecting to end up like the princess diaries.” You shrug and Sweet Pea laughs.
“I must be a disappointment then.” You shake your head smiling.
“From where I’m standing an improvement so far.” He smiles peeling the wrapper from the muffin he grabbed.
“These are heavenly by the way.” He smirks and you laugh.
“Well you officially have an unlimited supply of them.” He beams.
‘And my family?” You arch an eyebrow.
“You mean the serpents?” He ducks his head nodding.
“I don’t know if I can make that many every week.”
“Wait I get these every week??” He bounces on his heels.
“If you want, it was just a suggestion. I have other recipes as well and- Sweet Pea!” You squeak as he picks you up hugging you.
“Dude chill.” Fangs speaks through his laughter.
“Sorry, I just got excited.”
“About the muffins? Or your soulmate?” Kevin snorts and you watch Sweet Pea’s face seem to soften, he glances to you almost shyly blush suddenly on his face and his eyes filling with amazement. He smiles at you before jerking and turning away.
“So rehearsal?” He nods to Kevin and Kevin rolls his eyes.
“Will be after school today, please don’t method act Dead Girl Walking. I need you both in one piece, we still need to figure out costumes as well.”

Classing up the Place
Disclaimer: Characters belong to Pixelberry as does some of the dialogue
Warnings: None
A/N This is Chapter 2 of Open Heart Book 1, hope you enjoy. If you would like to be added or removed from my taglist, let me know.
Ethan entered Donahue's finally feeling calm after a stressful day. He hated when new interns started; they were always troublesome and exhausting.
His mind drifted again to Dawn Moore, AKA The Rookie. She was the most infuriating of the lot...and he didn’t quite know why.
The bar was packed, he recognised the faces of some of the new interns. Someone was playing a piano on the small stage behind Ethan; the playing was very good and it was a song he liked.
He ordered a scotch at the bar which Reggie served to him promptly.
"How's it going Ethan?" He shouted over the music.
"Much better now, thanks. I see you've finally taken my advice and classed the place up a bit," he said, gesturing to the music playing behind him.
"Well, I probably have you to thank for that one." Reggie told him with a grin.
Ethan looked at him, baffled, "What do you mean?"
Reggie tilted his head in the direction of the stage; "That's one of your interns, is it not?"
Ethan whirled on his stool so fast, he almost fell off. Sure enough, the Rookie was playing the piano like an absolute pro and singing, Dream a Little Dream of Me.
He stared at her, transfixed; Reggie stood behind him, totally forgotten. Her voice was sweet, melodic. He didn't want the song to end. She glanced up and her eyes met his; he couldn’t tear his gaze away from her. She was infuriating, but also, so very captivating.
When she finished her set, her friends crowded around her, all excited and impressed by what she could do. Ethan sat watching her talking and laughing with them; unable to look at or focus on anything else.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dawn was winding down after her set, enjoying a drink with her friends when Bryce invited her to play darts with him. She won and the wager was a kiss. He dipped her back, placing an enthusiastic kiss on her soft lips.
When she stood up, she saw through the crowd that Dr Ramsey was staring at her, disapprovingly. She was filled with dread when she saw his cold blue eyes on her; it was always so hard to tell what he was thinking.
She made her way over to him; hoping to win him over again, she felt that she had been getting somewhere earlier, at the vending machine.
She was starting to regret her boldness when she got to the bar and he looked at her out of the corner of his eye;
“Something wrong, Doctor Ramsey?”
“Just noticing how... different you look out in the real world.” He told her. She felt a blush tinting her cheeks; she didn’t know why, but the way he said it affected her.
He was actually struggling not to stare at her in her street clothes; he didn’t like to admit it, or to look at an intern in an unprofessional manner; but she was very attractive.
Dawn surprised him by ordering two neat scotches. He was impressed that she was so perceptive.
When their drinks arrived; they drank in silence for a while, he half expected her to get fed up of his cold shoulder and walk away, but she didn’t.
“I’m a lover of music, Rookie. You have a talent for it.”
She raised an eyebrow, surprised that he was being kind. “Thanks, Doctor Ramsey.”
“I am relieved that you have a possible backup plan, in case you can’t hack it as a doctor.”
She rolled her eyes; “I should have known you would have to have another dig. I’m sorry I bothered to come and talk to you.” She told him, taking a step away from him.
“Rookie, wait.”
She turned back to face him, “Yes, Dr Ramsey?”
“That was uncalled for; I apologise.”
He called Reggie over and ordered two “Specials”, whatever those were. Dawn told him it was delicious which actually made him smile.
She was feeling brave and asked him if he had anyone waiting at home; she half expected him to bark at her that it was none of her business, but he didn’t.
“I’ll come here even when I do, I need some buffer between the hospital and the world. An airlock.” His eyes met hers, he looked serious, “Don’t take the job home with you, Dawn.”
“Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind, but you didn’t answer my question.” She reminded him.
“No. Nobody waiting at home tonight.”
She raised an eyebrow with a giggle, “Does that mean you have someone waiting at home some nights?”
He arched an eyebrow at her; his face serious.
“Never mind, Doctor Ramsey, I can see I’m pushing my luck. Have a good night, I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Before he could answer her, she was back with her friends on the dance floor.

break up//sweet pea.
Can you do an image where the reader and sweet pea breakup and he see’s her flirting with another boy? (Lol sorry if that sounds bad)
one shot of sweet pea getting jealous of reader spending time with her ex archie? love your writing by the way:)
thought i would join the two together💚
Break up are always hard. But when you have to see the other person every single day, it was even harder. Breaking up with Sweet Pea was the hardest thing you’ve ever done. You and him had been dating for a while, but you always had doubts he was cheating on you. The late nights. Secret phone calls. You understood that he was a serpent and had secret business, but something wasn’t right here. You ended thing and it broke you. Confinding in your best friend and ex boyfriend, Archie Andrews.
Late night Pop’s sessions, eating as many burgers before you wanted to throw up. Him driving you to school and back. Movie trips. You knew Pea wouldn’t like it, but you needed someone to rant to and Archie was a good listener.
You and Archie were talking to you locker, talking about what Archie was planning for Veronica.
“I was thinking of getting her a necklace with my name on.” Archie smiles while you take out your book.
“Omg, Arch. That’s such a cute idea!” You exclaim and touch his shoulder. You hear the sound of a locker slamming, you look down the hall and see Sweet Pea storming off.
“Looks like the snake is angry.” Archie laughs.
“Don’t call him that.” You groan and roll your eyes.
Archie laughs and you both walk to class. You have this class with Archie and Pea. You walk into English and sit in your normal seat. You notice Sweets is sitting in the corner, away from everyone. You sigh and sit down at the front with Archie. You hear someone scoff and already know it’s Pea. You sink in your chair. “Ignore him.” Archie whispers in your ear, only making Pea angrier.
“Move away from her, Andrews.” You hear a chair scrap against the floor and then hit the ground.
“Why don’t you make me, snake?” Archie smirks, not even facing Pea.
“Arch, stop if.” You whisper to him. He just shrugs and smiles at you.
“I’m going to kill you, dog!” Pea yells and rushes towards Archie. Archie stands up and tackles Pea. They both fall to the floor, scrapping to see who would win.
Fangs jumps up to try and grab Pea while a Reggie tries to get Archie.
“Guys stop it!” You yell, trying to grab Archie, who was now on top of Sweet Pea, punching his face. You saw that Pea for a few punches to Archie, him having a split lip and bloody nose. But Pea was getting beat. “Archie, let him go now!” You yell and push Archie has hard as you can. He stumbles off of Pea and you immediately drop next to Pea. You grab his head and place it in your lap.
“You ok, baby?” You whisper to the injuried serpent.
“I am now.” He coughs. He had a black eye forming, bloody nose and cut cheek. You glare at Archie.
“You asshole! Look what you’ve done!” You yell.
“He started it! Why should you care? He’s your ex boyfriend!” Archie spits.
“Fuck you, Andrews.” You put your middle finger up at him and Archie sighs. You help Pea up and place your arm around his waist, steaming him. “Let’s get you home.” You smile and walk to the exit with Sweets.

Just Friends Part 3 (Archie x Reader)
Word Count: 3375
A/n: Final part. I hope you guys like it. I honestly had so much trouble figuring out how to end this and I hope i did it justice
Masterlist - Part 1 - Part 2
Archie was determined to win you over, to prove that you loved him as much as he loved you and to prove that you two belong together. Only, none of it was working. As much as Archie tried, you stuck it out with Reggie by your side.
He did everything you would have loved if you weren’t already in a relationship. He was as sweet and thoughtful as ever. But you would never turn your back Reggie like that, he deserved better.
Archie even went as far as helping your mom with her garden and she absolutely loved him for it. She always liked the thought of you and Archie together but she wasn’t opposed to you being with someone else as long as they treated you right.
She didn’t mind Reggie, both times you had gotten with him he was always respectful and well mannered around her but she just didn’t think he was your type. After all, mother knows best.
You brushed off what your mom told you. Like, okay it’s good to know whose side your on. Obviously not yours but Archie’s.
After repeating to her for the millionth time that you two were just friends she rolled her eyes and left your room.
Archie did small things here and there to get your attention. One of the most memorable was when you were all attending a BBQ at the Cooper residence.
You were sitting with Veronica and Betty when Archie came up to your table. Unfortunately, you were in the middle of eating a hot dog when he quoted your favorite movie which almost made you choke.
“Is that a wiener in your mouth or are you just happy to see me?”
Betty was confused but Veronica burst out into full blown laughter. You on the other hand were stunned into silence. One, that was so cheesy since it was from one of your favorite movies. But two, it meant he payed attention enough to know how much you loved that line.
Even though it was entertaining, you laughed it off as just something a best friend would say. “Ha ha. Very funny Arch.” You went back to eating and talking to B and V.
On the other hand, the time he sent you flowers was a bit awkward since you had been hanging out with Reggie at your house when your mother announced the delivery.
“Y/n, these flowers just came for you.” She came into the living room carrying an arrangement of your favorite flowers where you and Reggie were watching a movie. He had been laying his head on your lap while you played with his hair.
Reggie sat up and while you made your way towards your mom. She handed them to you and left the room.
When you took a hold of them you inhaled their sweet scent. The thought that Reggie had remembered they were your favorite, really showed he was trying. It warmed your heart and made you smile in appreciation. “They’re so beautiful, Reg” you said while adding, “You didn’t have to buy me flowers” even though you loved that he did.
His face contorted into a sour expression, “I didn’t.” You tilt your head to the side, not understanding. “Is there a card?” he asked.
You survey the bouquet and find a small note card attached. You open it up and read:
Only the best flowers for my best girl -A. Andrews
Reggie read it from over your shoulder and you felt him tense beside you. “Hey,” you set the flowers down and reach for him. “Don’t worry about it. I chose you, remember?”
He sighs looking very torn. Without meeting your gaze he says, “I can’t help but doubt whether you choosing me was the right thing to do. What if you would be better off with Andrews?.”
I broke your heart to see him so self conscious and vulnerable. “Don’t talk like that Reggie. I’m going to have a serious talk with him about stopping all this nonsense. It’s getting out of hand.”
He nodded and you went back to couch to finish the movie, the flowers forgotten.
As much as he hated to admit it, Reggie couldn’t help but notice the way your lips would slightly curve into a small smile whenever Archie said or did something to win you over. And always right before you reassure him that you don’t want anything romantic to do with Archie. As much as it hurt, he knew what he had to do.
Before you could gather the courage to discuss the issue with Archie, Reggie cornered him in the locker room.
“Andrews! I don’t know what your problem with me is but you need to leave Y/n alone. She made her choice.”
Archie sighed, Reggie I know we were friends before all this mess but I told you not to ask her out again. I begged you not to.”
He scoffed, “Why shouldn’t I have asked her out? Hm? You were never going to do it.” He crossed his arms and shook his head. “I love Y/n. I really do and I’m not going down without a fight.” The words left his lips without hesitation.
Archie didn’t know how to respond to that. He had no idea how strongly Reggie felt towards you. He looked down in shame realizing what he had been doing was wrong. Reggie was right, you had made your choice and that wasn't him.
He took a deep breathe before saying, “I’m sorry. I was blinded by my own feelings to even think about yours.”
Reggie just nodded in acknowledgement.
“I was consumed with the thought of being her second choice and I didn’t like it. I wanted so bad for her to choose me.” He paused before adding, “Also, I just didn’t want you to break her heart again.”
Reggie laughed at that, “I know you think I broke her heart, but in reality she broke mine.” Archie looked confused, he thought it was Reggie who had broken up with you but he continued to listen anyway. “And you know what I think? She’s breaking her own heart over your actions. If you really want what’s best for her, you’ll trust her to be able to make her own decisions on who she wants to be with.”
Without another word Reggie walked out leaving a stunned Archie. Not only did the way the conversation differ from anything the old Reggie would have said, it proved how much Reggie loved and trusted you. It was something Archie realized he didn’t have towards you. At least not completely. He obviously didn’t trust that you would ever love him back enough to admit his feelings to you.
At this point three people were torn between decisions of the heart. Archie, Reggie, and Y/n.
A couple weeks had passed and things seemed to be normal again. Y/n and Archie were back on speaking terms with the occasional awkward moments but it felt great to have your friend back.
You and Reggie were doing well together and you were genuinely happy. So, when Reggie sent you that ‘we need to talk’ text, you freaked out. You assumed the worst thinking that of course Reginald Mantle was incapable of change and that he was back to his old player ways.
That of course was not the case.
Reggie showed up at your house shortly after.
You cut to the chase not wanting to beat around the bush, “Reggie what’s going on? You don’t just send a girl a text that says ‘we need to talk’ without breaking up. Is it something you did? Is it something I did?” You rambled on wanting an answer but at the same time you were stalling. Whatever it was, you were scared it was going to hurt you.
Reggie walked you over to sit on the couch in the living room. You two sat facing each other and he took your hands in his and gave them a gentle squeeze.
“Look,” he hesitated but he was determined to get it out, “I know you said you wanted messy and complicated, but the truth is you never really wanted that with me. You wanted that with Andrews.”
You wanted to protest his words but you knew they had some truth to them.
“And that’s okay. These past couple of weeks have been fun but I can see that deep down you’re miserable.”
You shake your head, “You’re wrong. I feel happier than I have in so long.” You didn’t know what to say to convince him otherwise. You knew he was going to break up with you and you really didn’t want that. “I love you Reggie” you whisper feeling so defeated.
He smiles down at you with genuine love. “I know you do.” He reaches up and cups your face with one hand. You lean into it feeling the familiar warmth against your cheek. “But you’re not in love with me.”
You close your eyes not wanting to face the truth. Your heart ached and your eyes began to sting.
“The night we got back together, I don’t think you were trying to convince me that you wanted to be with me, I think you were trying to convince yourself.”
You opened your eyes and a tear slid down your cheek. You knew everything he was saying was true. You used Reggie to escape your feelings for Archie and you felt terrible about it.
The realization hurt more than you could ever imagine. You sighed and took his hands back into your own. “How do you not hate me right now? You must have known I was stringing you along. Why wait until now to tell me and not that night?”
He grimaced. “I really did want that second chance. Even knowing that you could never love me back in the same way. I figured I might as well take what I could get.”
“I’m so sorry Reg. It was never my intention to hurt you. How can I ever make it up to you.”
“Well there is one thing… but you’re not going to like it.” He looked at you challengingly.
“I’ll do anything. Please just tell me.”
He stood up and paced your living room for a couple of seconds before finally stopping in front of you and saying, “Admit, not just to me but to yourself, that you are in love with Andrews.” You gasp. “It’s the least you can do.”
You struggle simply thinking about it and Reggie wanted you to say it, out loud no less. “I mean, I do love him. I told you that before.”
“Y/n” he warned.
You groaned knowing only one thing will satisfy him. “Fine! I, Y/f/n y/l/n, am in love with my best friend Archie Andrews. Happy now?”
He shrugged, “Well, not really. Life is going to suck without you by my side.” You pout, feeling guilty. “But I’ll be happy if you’re happy.”
You walk up to him, smile and reluctantly hug him. He tensed for a second but ultimately hugged you back. “You know, one day you are going to make a girl really happy. You’ve really grown up a lot this past year.”
He chuckled. “I did have an amazing teacher.”
Your heart warms because you knew it was his love for you that allowed him to become a better person. You pull back from your hug and look up at him. “We’ll still be friends right?” you asked.
You were nervous for his response but you felt the rumble of laughter through his chest, “Off course we will.”
That filled your who being with relief. It would have been a shame to have gone through so much with Reggie only for you not to be in each others lives.
“Besides, who else is going keep me in line when I do stupid things?” You nodded in agreement.
“So what now?” you ask settling yourself back on the couch.
Reggie follows suit, “Now we plan how you are going to get the guy!”
Days passed and soon those days turned into weeks and you were starting to wonder if Reggie had any clue what he was doing. Every time you asked him what the plan was he would say you didn’t need to know, yet.
It was all too frustrating because the day after your breakup with Reggie the entire school knew and that meant that so did Archie. The frustrating part wasn’t that he knew you were single and didn’t do anything about it, it was that you couldn’t do anything about it. At least not yet. Reggie insisted that you wait for his plan to unfold.
It was also frustrating because there seemed to be a growing tension between you and Archie. Neither of you knew to how to act towards one another. At least when you were with Reggie you didn’t have this burning desire to be kissed by Archie but now it’s all you can think of.
Every little accidental touch or brush against him made you shiver in anticipation. You were just waiting for the day when you can finally call Archie yours.
Today you were waiting for class to end when the loud speakers turned on. Everyone stopped what they were doing to wait for what was to come.
At first it sounded muffled as if someone was trying to get situated but then you heard the familiar voice. It was Reggie.
What the hell was going on?
Right before the bell rang signalling the end of the school day, Reggie said, “Y/n, it’s time. Be in the theater in five minutes.”
What is this boy up to now?
The entire class turned to look at you for answers but you were just as in the dark as everyone else. You shrugged and made your way to the school’s theater.
It was nearly impossible to make it in time since your class was all the way across campus. Damn it Reggie, you thought. Way to give a girl enough time to actually make it in time.
Right as you were nearing the theater you could hear the faint sounds of someone singing. You stopped to try and listen closer.
“I'm falling in,
I'm falling down”
You immediately recognize the song as well as the person singing it.
“I wanna begin
But I don't know how”
It was Archie and he was singing one of your favorite songs.
“To let you know,
How I'm feeling”
You enter the theater and all eyes were on you once again.
“I'm high on hope.
I'm reeling”
As you continued to make your way in, you saw Archie perched on a stool strumming his guitar while singing into a mic.
“And I won't let you go,
Now you know”
He looked up and finally made eye contact with you.
“I've been crazy for you all this time.
I've kept it close
Always hoping”
You had waited so long for those lyrics to come true.
“With a heart on fire,
A heart on fire”
This felt like a dream, a dream you never wanted to wake up from.
“Hand in hand,
Sparkling eyes”
Your heart swelled with so much love it hurt.
“The days are bright,
And so are the nights.
All you could do was stand there and watch him sing while he never took his eyes off of you.
“'Cause when I'm with you I'm grinning.
Once I was through
And now I'm winning”
He smiled his big goofy grin at you and you let out a small tear. This song embodied exactly how you two felt. You two were meant to be together even if it took this long to get here.
“With a heart on fire,
A heart on fire
A heart on fire”
When the song finished, the theater burst into a round of applause. This brought you out of your thoughts and back to reality. For a couple of minutes there, it felt like it was only you and Archie in the room.
For the first time since your eyes found each others, Archie looked away and started speaking into the microphone. “For years I have been in love with my best friend. I never wanted to compromise our friendship in case what I felt was not reciprocated. I almost lost my best friend as well as the love of my life because I hid it for so long. But that ends today.”
He finally looked back at you and said, “I love you Y/n and that is never going to change. If you don’t love me back, I’ll understand but I wanted you and everyone to know that I don’t give up on love that easily.”
He was about to walk off but quickly returned, “One last thing, if you want to make this work, meet me in the first place I ever kissed you.” With those last words he walked away.
You were stunned at how much this whole thing affected you. You hated being the center of attention, you hated the whole world knowing your personal stuff. But with Archie, you just didn’t care. You would literally shout from the rooftops how much you loved this boy. That is how much he meant to you.
Your thoughts were interrupted by your group of friends all questioning whether you were going to meet up with Archie or not.
“Can everyone please stop shouting at me. Yes, of course I’m going. I just have to go home.”
Kevin spoke up first, “Wait, why?”
You gave Kevin a confused look, “That’s where we kissed for the first time… at my front door” everyone looked at you in shock, “right?”
You looked at Veronica but she just shrugged, “Don’t look at me, I only moved here a couple years ago.”
“Don’t you remember he kissed you in first grade after Chuck was mean to you?” asked Betty.
It was coming back to you now. Chuck was mad that you had taken the last basketball at the park so he pushed you and took the ball anyway. You had been crying when Archie found and asked you what happened. He comforted you and told you that Chuck was a jerk and that he himself would never be mean to you. Then he took your hand in his and kissed the back of your palm sealing in that promise.
“It was such an innocent kiss, I almost forgot about it” you said. But you remember that it meant so much to you once upon a time. How could you have almost forgotten it?
In unison all your friends shouted, “What are you waiting for?”
You made it to the park in record time. You looked around and finally spotted Archie on a swing. You sat down on the swing next to him and he had the cutest smile etched on his face. “You made it” was all he said.
“Yeah, I guess I did.”
You both stayed silent for a while, the only sounds to be heard were to slight creaking of the swings.
“I’m sorry” you both say at the same time then chuckle.
“Let me go first” said Archie. “Y/n I’m sorry I waited to long to tell you how I felt and I’m sorry for all the pain it’s caused you.”
“What’s love without a little war?” you chuckle. He smiled back in response. “I’m sorry too, for pushing you away and making everything so awkward with Reggie.”
“Awkward yes. But he did push me to try one more time before completely giving up. So there is that.”
“Yes. There is that” you agreed.
You say silent again while gazing into each other’s eyes.
“I love you Archie Andrews” you whisper. The way the words rolled off your tongue no longer feeling foreign.
Still on the swings, Archie leans over and connects his lips with yours in a slow kiss. When he pulls back he says, “And I love you, Y/n Y/l/n”
You smirk, “As just friends?”
He laughs and leans in again and rests his forehead against yours, “Definitely as more than just friends.”

Warning(s): A few curse, Spoilers for Riverdale season 2 episode 2
Y/N- Your Name
I walked downstairs because I couldn’t sleep, every time I close my eyes all I can see are those green eyes. I was going to make myself a cup of tea but I found a sleeping Archie sitting on a box with a baseball bat. “Arch?” I gently shake him and he instantly holds the bat up. “ Hey, It’s just me!” “Y/N? Sorry.” He puts the bat down. “What are you doing up Arch?” “I could ask you the same thing.” “I couldn’t sleep, I was going to make a cup of tea. All I can see are those eyes…” I sigh. Archie hugged me. “I’m going to protect you and dad.” “Is that why you’re up?” He nodded. Before I could tell him how he needs sleep we heard footsteps coming towards our back door. Archie grabbed the bat and pushed me behind him, he slowly made his way to the door when Jughead opened it walking in. “Whoa, whoa!” “Jughead, are you insane?” Archie asked putting the bat down again. “Hey, you’re the one that looks like a Dream Warrior from Nightmare on Elm Street 3.” Jug said sitting down, I sat next to him. “What’d the lawyer say?” I asked, he sighed. “I’ve been walking around all night trying to wrap my head around how bad it is. It’s bad.” “My dad is facing 20 years…” I warped my arm around him just to give him some form of comfort. “Crap, Jughead, I’m sorry. That sucks.” Archie said. “”The lawyer thinks he should take the deal. And that is he doesn’t, and the case goes to trial, he could be facing 40 years.” Jughead’s voice trembled a bit. “I’m just really, really scared.” I could tell Jug was holding back tears.
The next day at school we were all sitting in class waiting for the teacher when Principal Weatherbee walked in. “May I have everyone’s attention? I have some tragic news to share.” A few students looked at each other and there were a few whispers. “Ms. Grundy, who was a teacher here last semester, was found murdered in her Greendale home last night.” I looked at Archie and I knew this was going to be hard for him. “I know some of you were students of hers, and that this news will be difficult to process.” Archie got up and rushed out the room. I got up and followed him I knew he was going home.
I sat in the living room with my dad and Archie pacing around. “First, you get shot. Then, Ms. Grundy is murdered. All within a matter of days.” “Dad what if some crazy person is going after the people I care about?” Archie stopped pacing and stared at us. “What? You think I’m nuts?” “No son, I think you’re scared. Understandably so. Truth is, we don’t know anything about what happened to Ms. Grundy.” “She’s dead, She was killed! Right across Sweetwater River!” “I know. It was a horrible thing.” “Dad’s right Arch, we don’t know what happened to her, It could be totally unrelated.” I said. I knew the odds of this being unrelated were slim and that Archie was probably right. I spent the rest of the night doing my homework and try ignoring what was happening.
Jug called me that night telling me about his plan to get Cheryl and her mother to testify for leniency. “It’s not exactly downsizing, is it?” He said as we walked up to the house. “Hobo. Y/N. Welcome to Thistlehouse.” Cheryl said as we entered the house. “Mother’s in the conservatory. Follow me.” We all sat down at a large table and to say it was a bit uncomfortable was an understatement. “Thank you for sitting down with us.” I said. “Of course, Y/N.” Cheryl smiled. “Okay, so the reason we’re here…” “FP’s lawyer thinks that if the of the victim shows mercy-” “Mercy. That’s why you’re here.” Mrs. Blossom cut me off. “Well, it’s an appeal for leniency, from you.” Jughead said looking at both Mrs. Blossom and Cheryl. “To reduce my dad’s sentence.” Jug finished. “Where was your father’s mercy when I spent those countless nights walking the halls of Thornhill in agony, obsessing over what happened to Jay-Jay? Imagining the worst. Where was your father’s mercy when I slept under the same roof as a cold-blooded killer, night after night.” Cheryl said cutting Jug off. “Cheryl, FP didn’t kill Jason. Okay? That was your dad. You saw the video.” I pointed out. “If it were up to me, I’d watch FP fry in the electric chair.” Mrs. Blossom said. “We need this sordid chapter closed forever, and FP is the last loose end to tie up.” Cheryl raised her voice. “I will not have a living, breathing reminder of the darkest chapter of my life walking the streets of Riverdale.” There was no use in convincing them so we left. “What do we do now that Cheryl’s gone all Poison Ivy?” I asked as we walked away from the house. “Blackmail. Extortion. If they weren’t literally an orphan and a widow, Ii would do it.” Jughead sighed. Ii have to help him out, I have to help FP out. I know FP and I know he’s not a bad guy, he doesn’t deserve this.
The school day had ended, and cheer practice had ended as well; I knew Cheryl always stayed late so I went to the locker room. I shut the door causing Cheryl to turn around startled. “Give a girl a warning will you?” She said tossing a mirror in her locker. “You want closure, Cheryl?” I asked walking closer to her. “I want to help my boyfriend’s dad.” “I already told you-” “And I’m telling you to help FP or-” “Or what?” “Or I wide-release the video of your father shooting Jason.” I smirked. “Try having closure with that out in the world.” “I thought you gave the damned thumb drive to Sheriff Keller?” “No, not before I saved a copy onto Jughead’s laptop.” I moved in a bit closer. “One click, and the darkest chapter of your family’s twisted psychodrama becomes a viral sensation.” “Are you threatening me?” “This? No this is just fun girl talk.” I smiled. “You could save a man’s life. Think about it, a nice end to a sad story.” Cheryl contemplated for a second. “If I testify, you’re giving me that video. And a guarantee that any and all copies in your possession will be erased.” “You have my word.” I turned to walk away but turned back. “Oh, and you let Betty have the Vixens for Retro Night.” “You’re a stone cold bitch Y/N Andrews.” Cheryl smirked and I left.
I was the day of the trial and I was sitting next to Jughead watching as Cheryl talked. “Ms. Blossom, you may proceed with your statement.” “Your Honor, I speak for myself and my mother when I say we forgive FP Jones for the part he played in covering my brother’s murder, we humbly ask the court for leniency. FP’s guilt has been blown out of proportion to satiate what my father’s suicide denied us...closure.” “As much as I sympathize, I can’t ignore the quality of Mr. Jones’ crimes. There were no extenuating circumstances.” Cheryl thought for a second and I raised an eyebrow at her. “My father threatened him.” She said quickly. “I overheard them talking in daddy’s study. Daddy said he would hurt Jughead if FP didn’t comply.” Everyone stared at her shocked. “Is that extenuating enough?” She asked. “In light of these revelations, I suggest that we take a step back and reevaluate certain aspects of the case. At which time, we will revisit the sentencing. Adjourned.” Everyone gathered their things and FP turned around making Jug stand up. “Is that a win?” FP asked. “It’s a delay. So yeah.” I smiled as the two of them hugged.
Jughead was at Pop’s trying to save the dinner, I want to be there to help but I don’t know if I can go back there. I was sitting in my room working on homework when Archie came in. “Hey, sis.” “Hey Arch, what’s up?” “Do you...do you maybe want to go to Pop’s with me? I feel bad not being there to help out.” I was shocked. “Arch, I don’t know. I mean I really want to go but I don’t know if I can.” “Neither do I but maybe if we go together it won’t be as bad?” I thought about it, I mean we shouldn’t let one terrible thing ruin our favorite spot right? “Okay.” I grabbed my jacket and walked to Archie. “Let’s go.”
We walked to Pop’s and when we got there the Pussycats were on the roof singing ‘Milkshake’. I smiled a bit, it was a cringy song but it fits so perfectly with the cause. We walked in and Veronica greeted us. “Hey Daddy-O” She smiled at Archie. “Y/N, Jug is over there.” I smiled and walked behind the counter to hug him. “Hey, Juggie.” “Hey Y/N, I didn’t think you’d be coming tonight.” “I wasn’t but Archie wanted to and thought it’d be easier if I went as well.” “Well, I’m glad you showed up.” He smiled and kissed me. “Ugh, you two are like chimps in captivity, grooming and picking lice off each other.” We pulled away and looked at Cheryl who sat down in front of us. “Hello, Cher.” I smiled, just because I blackmailed her doesn’t mean I’m not her friend. She would have done the same thing if she were in my position. “Mark this day in your diary. I lied under oath for you. And thank God I’m quick on my feet.” “Cheryl, thank you.” Jug said handing her the drive. “Honor your promise to me.” We nodded and she walked off.
Pop Tate gave a speech about how Betty saved the dinner and how the Lodge’s made a donation that would cover any storms that might come. We all sat in a booth enjoying milkshakes. “Ronnie, should I introduce myself to your dad?” Archie asked. “You’ve faced enough dragons for one night. Next time, Archiekins.” “So, I guess tonight is a win for the good guys.” Betty smiled. “A rare win, but yes.” Jug said. “Thanks to you Betty.” I added. Archie was looking out the window and he looked uncomfortable, I was too but I know how to hide my feelings pretty well. “You okay?” V asked. “I’m here with you guys. So, yeah.” Something was up with him but I knew it had to do with what happened to us.
Jughead walked me home because Archie wanted to talk to Reggie for a bit. I was working on the rest of the homework I had left when I got a call. “Hello?” “Y/N.” “FP? What’s wrong?” “Jug, he went to see Penny.” “What?” “You didn’t know?” “No, he told me he was going to talk to another lawyer but he never gave names.” “He didn’t pay her, I told him not to contact her again but we both know she’ll try to get him so I need to you do whatever favor she asks him got it?” “FP, I told you I can’t join the Serpents. If my dad or Archie found out-” “You don’t have to join just please do whatever favor she needs.” I sighed knowing I would regret this later. “Fine…” “Thank you.” FP said and hung up. I grabbed my jacket once again and rushed out of the house. I walked into the tattoo shop and a few Serpents were there. “Y/N, what are you doing here?” “Where’s Penny.” I demanded. “Where she always is.” I walked in her office. “Y/N, what a surprise, what can I do for you?” “Stay away from Jughead.” I narrowed my eyes at her. “Whatever favor you think he owes you, you can call me and I’ll be doing it.” She smirked. “FP call you huh? Even in jail, he’s still trying to keep his boy out of this mess.” “You will stay away from him and come to me for whatever you want got it?” I said through grit teeth. “Thought you weren’t going to be apart of Serpent business?” “I’m not, I’m just doing FP a favor.” I glared. “Sounds like you’re a Serpent to me.” I growled and stormed out to go home. What did I just get myself into?

Make a move (requested oneshot)
Requested: " Could you do a jughead smut where the reader and jughead have been best friends since they were toddlers, Archie sees her as a younger sister so when jughead wants to make a move he tries to stop him but. Betty and Veronica (who are dating) convince her to make the first move and it leads to smut..."~ @thegoddessofbeautyandperfection Pairings: Jughead x reader, BettyxVeronica Warnings: Smut, yup definitely some sin in this one, fluff and swearing. A/N: Fun idea my lovely! Hope you like it! -------------------------------------------- Jughead POV. Okay Juggy breath. Breath. This is worse than ask a father for their daughters hand in marriage…I presume. I stood at the edge of the field waiting for the semi final to be over. I'm going to ask him now when he's on a high and already too tired to chase me. Breath. Breath. Breath. Final whistle blew and with it cheering came. A win. Good good this means he'll be on cloud 10, yup cloud 10, he'll just skip 9. After the immediate congratulations and cheering Archie ran over to meet me. “JUGGY! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT! WE'RE GOING TO CHAMPIONSHIP!” He was like a child on Christmas and I loved it, so nice to see your best friend happy. “Yeah congratulations man listen I need to ask you something?” “Whatever it is man yes! I'm so buzzed right now whatever you want!” “Okay I'll go ask y/n out right now then” I turned as fast as I could but not fast enough for the champion athlete. He caught me by the shoulder. “I'm sorry maybe it's all the crowds or something I don't think I heard you right could you repeat that” his grip on my shoulder tightened. Maybe asking him about this while he's pumped with testosterone was a bad idea. “Okay emm I'm going to ask y/n out” “Hah no you're not” he let go of my shoulder with a light shove. “But why not?” “Dude she's like my little sister, she's in my house more than I am. I don't want my brother dating my sister that's just yanno illegal”. I couldn't help but laugh at this comment. He's being ridiculous. “We're not actually siblings Arch like the sentiment is nice but I'm not her brother I want to be her boyfriend” this received a stronger shove. “Nope no dude,no, don't do it, I won't let, don't do it, you're not allowed do it, I forbid you” “I'm sorry YOU FORBID ME?!” this was about to turn into a serious fight, it did last time. I could see archie about to retaliate just as Y/N, Veronica and Betty ran over in their cheer gear. Wow y/n looks amazing. She ran directly into Archie's arms. “Congratulations!!!” She hugged him tightly and he shook his head slowly at me over her shoulder. I hate that he's scolding me like I'm a child. This was a divisive point in our friendship. He wanted to protect her as if I'm something she needs to be protected from...if only he knew Reggie wanted to get in her pants more than anything. Hah. That'd kill him...I'm going to tell him...later. Y/N let go of Archie and let the wonder couple give him hugs. “Come here Juggy, you're all left out" she cooed wrapping her arms around my neck and burying her head in my chest. I want her to stay like this forever. I could feel Archie's eyes on me, burning holes in my head. “Come on y/n we have to go get ready for Cheryls victory party, you're coming aren't you Jug?” Betty smiled. “Nah” not my thing. Y/N looked at me like I had just hit her puppy with a lawnmower. “Ummmm yes you are Juggy” she took my hand in hers lightly. Damn it I'm putty. “Ughhhhhhh fine.” Y/N POV. “Okay seriously love birds if ye don't stop I'm leaving” I laugh at B&V messing around in my room. “Yeah maybe you should” V purred into Bettys neck. I laughed knowing while that wasn't all a joke it for the majority was. We were getting ready for Cheryls in Veronicas. The two of them are sickly sweet and I was sickly jealous of their connection. “So when are you going to ask Jughead out” Betty pushed Veronica off the bed laughing. “Sorry what?!” “Oh please y/n/n you two are weak for each other.totally head over heels. If you asked him to bring you a goat he'd find a unicorn for you” Vernonica teased. I smiled at the two of them. Yeah Jug and I are like that. “Yeah I guess….but Archie won't let him near me in any other way besides friendly, he thinks I don't know but he's so obvious” It's not like I couldn't feel him trying to explode Jughead with his mind earlier. “Yeah Archie won't let Jughead make a move…..” her eyes lit up and Betty’s grin matched her girlfriends eyes. “YOU SHOULD MAKE THE MOVE” They say...scream in unison. “Oh no no no no no no” “YES! Betty Get me my makeup bag princess!, it just got serious”. Jughead POV Archie and I got there when the party was in full swing. He was whisked away instantly by Moose and Co. I stood in the doorway looking on at the madness before me. Suddenly an arm sneaked around my waist under my dark denim jacket. Y/n rested her head on my shoulder from behind. “Don't worry damsel I am here to rescue you” she smirked. I turned to face her “Wow” she chuckled at my response. Smooth Jughead smooth. “Um thank you?” She laughed. Archie came practically running over “Y/N! Where are mrs and mrs gone?” “Who knows there's a closet around here somewhere isn't there?” “Ugh yeah…” “Well they're in there I'd say” “Haha probably. Do you wanna dance y/n?” I shifted slightly on the spot at Archie's question. “Nah I'm going to get a drink, I'll be back in a second”. I watched her walk to the kitchen. “Jug please can you just not with her tonight” ughhhhhhh okay, time to use my secret weapon. “Oh sure Archie, I mean I'm not the one you have to worry about” I say as nonchalantly as I possibly can. “What do you mean by that Jug?” he furrowed his brow at me. “Oh nothing it's nothing” “No tell me” he stepped closer to me. Like shooting fish in a barrel. “Oh well I heard Moose say he was going to try it with Y/N tonight...he's probably trying it now" boom. Gone like a flash he took off. I laughed, too easy Andrews too easy. I might get a bit of peace now. The party got a little out of hand as y/n joined my side again. “WEDNESDAY ADDDDDDDAAAAMMMMMS” well goodbye peace, hello drunk Reggie. I felt y/ns hand slip into mine. “Hey baaaaaaaaabe why are you with this tool? Come here to Reggie baby, Juggles here probably wants to murder you and wear your skin” he was met with laugh from his goons behind him. Y/n stepped a little behind me. She was never good with confrontation of this nature, especially drunken confrontation. “Reggie just leave her alone” I tried, squeezing her hand gently in reassurance. “Oh yeah Wednesday? What are you going to do about it” he reached out and caught y/n from around the waist roughly as she screamed. I didn't even know what was happening till I did it. His jaw met my fist and he flew back into his goons. Y/N scurried back towards me as Archie ran to catch Reggie before he realised what had happened. A crowd gathered and I felt my face turn red as everyone was looking at me. Y/N caught my hand and swept me away up the stairs. Before long we were in an empty guest room. I began pacing “oh God he's going to kill me he's actually going to kill me” y/n stood silent watching me pace. I ramble on about how he was going to kill me before I realised y/n was yet to say something. I sat down on the edge of the bed and she still stared at me with soft beautiful eyes. She slowly moved towards me, our eyes locked. She caught my face in her hands and kissed my lips. I put my hands on her hips and pulled her into me. She pulled away from me and slowly pulled her dress over her head. I must be dreaming because this is not happening. She smiled and kissed me again. I wiggled out of my jacket and moved further up in the bed bringing her with me. 3rd Person Jugheads breath was practically knocked out of him as he was coming to terms with what was happening. A nearly naked y/n was on top of him and he was wide awake definitely not dreaming. Jughead bury his head into your neck and smirked as he begin biting your neck receiving soft moans. Your hands began to slip under his t-shirt. He made it easy for you, sat up and took off his shirt tossing it in the direction of your dress. You began grinding down on his clothed legs causing groans to rise from both of you. Jughead moved his hands from your back to your hips, gripping them and dragging them down to meet his. You pulled off his hat and let your hands roam his untamed hair as he began fondling your chest. You felt his member pressing against your thigh as he lightly nips your neck until you let a high pitch moan leave you, his new favorite spot. You unbuttoned his jeans and helped him to strip them off. He unclasped your bra and threw it in any direction. You slipped your hand into his boxers and slowly began to stroke his member. You picked up the pace as his breathing got heavier and uneven. “Okay okay y/n, my turn” he was just about able to breathe out. He flipped you onto your back. He kissed from your lips down your neck, bare torso and finally your thighs. He looked up, head hovering above you. Jughead pulled down your underwear and began to rub your clit. He slowly began to explore your entrance with his tongue spurred on by your moans. You tangle your hands in his locks again and guide him, your moans increasing in volume. He laid out the length of your body hovering above you and meet your lips again. You moved your hand and removed his boxers, jacking him with the other hand. Jughead moaned deeply driving you wild with lust. “Juggy. Now.” You whined and he slowly moved into you with the help of your hand for guidance. He propped himself up with one hand and the other groping your breasts. Jughead buried his head in the crook of your neck before slowly starting to move, Your head began to tilt back as your hips snapped together. Moans and groans leaving the both of you loudly. You wrapped your legs around his waist encouraging him to go faster. He, happily obliging, began to thrust into you deeper until he hit your g-spot perfect. Your moan to this was particularly loud and he soon moved faster to this exact spot receiving the same result. Jughead grunted at the feeling of your walls tightening around him. The band in your stomach was being stretched to the limits. “Jug I'm so close” “come for me y/n come for me” he groaned. The band snapped at his encouragement and his hands slipping to rub your clit again. Your nails digging into his back you screamed his name. The sound of his name on your lips drove him over the edge. His thrusts became sloppy sending you to overstimulation still moaning from your high. He grunted inside of you and stayed their for a moment riding out his high with you still around him. Completely breathless he collapsed next to you. You gathered the duvet to cover ye as both of your legs shook. Highs still being enjoyed. “Y/N” he huffed. “Yeah” you say rolling over to put your head on his chest. “I have been in love with you forever”. You sat up and looked down at him. He instantly regretted it. You cuddled back into him “I love you too Jug...the minute you squeezed my hand earlier it got rid of any ounce of doubt in my mind, I love you Jughead Jones”. Jughead smiled ear to ear. “This is great for 2 reasons, 1) you want to be with me and that's just... phenomenal 2) this is going to kill Archie" he laughs rolling on his side to deepen the cuddle. “Dibs not telling him” you say quickly “No fair y/n/n! He's going to kill me! The worse he'll do to you is yell” “Sorry Jones, better luck next time” you meet his lips. “You're worth a grumpy Archie” “Am I reaaaally though…” you laughed “Actually yeah you're right sorry we're done sorry” he teased pretending to get out of the bed. You pulled him back into cuddles and hit him into the chest laughing before kissing him again. ------------------------------------- Teehee Xx Tag: @sunshine51879 (I REMEMBERED!!!)

Riverdale Recap S2E6 . The ‘Sugarman’ and #CherylBOMBSHELL
So after Cheryl’s soul shattering experience in the last episode, I am beyond pleased to see her absolutely SLAY in this weeks episode. #CherylBombshell for the win. & I am so excited that after this episode I FINALLY feel like RIVERDALE IS BACK, BABY! I loved every second of this week’s episode!!
SO - what’s the drama? .. Well the first scene reminds us that TONI stayed over at Jug? . . . Really, Juggie? Not even ‘broken up’ for ONE DAY, haven’t even confronted BETTY and THIS IS WHAT YOUR IMMEDIATE REACTION IS? … Sorry, Juggie, but major loss of Brownie points right here … I though Arch was the ‘playboy’. This again, much like Betty’s method of breaking Jug’s heart feels really out of character. Why are you writers doing this to me?
Betty starts to regret her quick ‘betrayal’ of Nick, realising that should the Blackhood kill him, the blood would be on her hands - as the Blackhood commends her for showing her ‘vulnerable’ , ‘dark side’ and in that moment of vulnerability becoming ‘Judge, Jury and Executioner’.
Then there happens to be arranged this little ‘Parent’s Committee’ meeting which has me seriously LOLing. Like - all this time the parents are like whatever - and now they suddenly want to step up to the plate. LMAO - but in all seriousness it’s cool to see them finally showing some concern for what ever darkness and drama is taking over Riverdale. It’s revealed that ‘JJ’ (Jingle Jangle’) is sourced from the ‘Southside’ according to Reggie, and Mayor McCoy vows to round up the Serpents to clear the streets of the ‘JJ’ … There’s a raid at South Side High, but Archie gets Jug out in time.
The Blackhood tells Betty that the maker of the ‘JJ’ is someone known as the ‘Sugarman’ and he wants her to identify this creep as his next target! Betty talks to Sheriff Kelller trying to find out if it could’ve been ‘Clifford Blossom’ , but he tells her that JJ only hit the streets after Clifford’s death. Betty, being convinced that the Sugarman had some connection to Clifford, confronts Cheryl about it. Cheryl finds a drawing she’d done as a child of her , Jason and ‘the Sugarman’ … She tries to confront Penelope (her mum) about it, but Penelope refuses to acknowledge it.
There are some tender scenes from Cheryl in this episode, she’s truly amazing. Madeleine … Massive props this epsiode. We really see a more ‘human’ side to her, Penelope is in a way accepting ‘hush money’ from the St Clairs, and this is breaking Cheryl’s heart. She tells her mum, ‘You could defend your husband against killing your own son, but you can’t take my side.” and she continues that seeing the rest of the family is ‘dead’… ‘I am alive, and I am begging you for once in your life to care about ME more.” … It’s such a beautiful moment for Cheryl, and I couldn’t be prouder of her! Nick shouldn’t be allowed to get away scott free.
It’s finally revealed that the ‘Lodges’ are still accepting money from the St Claire as well for their SoDale project - and Veronica can’t accept this. She eventually comes clean to Hiram and Hermoine that Nick tried his sexual predator stunt on her too, but was unsuccessful - and datum do I love the IMMEDIATE change in Hiram’s demeanour he enters total ‘Papa Bear’ mode - like who dare harm my daughter? … Clearly Nick St Clair is as good as dead ;) and they promise to accept no more money from the St Clairs.
There’s also this kind of Battle between ‘Tall Boy’ and Jug as Tall Boy wants the serpents to team up with the other gang, the Ghoulies. Jug doesn’t seem to think it’s a good idea. Jug and Arch go visit FP in prison and he advises them to challenge the Ghoulies to drag race … if the Serpents win, they don’t pair up with the Ghoulies, and the Ghoulies stop the drug business.
Reasons I am LOVING this drag race story line … #1 comic reference having Betty in her overalls and working on cars. Yay! This is the Betty Cooper we know and love, and also a great ‘reunion’ of Bughead as Juggie tells her that even if she thought she was trying to protect him, she did ‘the only thing that could actually hurt him’ … My bughead heart be still! #2 Cheryl being the diva chick she was born to be , I LOVE THIS SCENE. She walks past Toni with such an attitude and is like, ‘Not Today, Cha Cha, I was born for this moment’ … and if those aren’t the truest words Cheryl has ever spoken. I’m LOVING it!!
They manage to scare the Ghoulies off with the help of the cops, and all is okay for the time being. Jughead and Betty have sorted things out, Betty’s also come clean to Veronica and they’re besties again as they team up to help Betty find out who the Sugarman is, and at the same time take control of Blackhood’s game. It’s finally revealed (through Cheryl and Penelope) that the ‘Sugarman’ is actually Mr. Phillips (Juggie’s new teacher in SouthSide) who is caught by Police and imprisoned , as tipped off by Betty who called Sheriff Keller instead of the Blackhood in a bold move to ‘steal’ the game. Of course, the identity still gets out there, and a scene ‘implicates’ that the Blackhood shoots Mr Phillips in his jail cell (but we never actually see the gun go off?) …. ‘Sweet Dreams, Sugarman’
It also comes to light that the ‘St Clairs’ had a ‘terrible accident’ (accident, my backside) and that Nick St Clair will be facing months of recovery, Veronicas cool response of “Oh Well. Karma’s a Bitch” is just epitomising her position as a ‘Lodge’ and for the first time in ages I have made respect for the girl! Actually adoring this dynamic TRIO at the moment and wouldn’t mind a little ‘Lodge’ spinoff … they’re just epic and untouchable, and I love it.
Ah. Why do I have to wait for next week? … Any ideas as to who is the Blackhood?? I still can’t figure it out. Comment some of your theories below. Oh and also, before I sign off for the day, is anyone else feeling this vibe between Reggie & Josie at the moment? Ep 5 and 6 both hinting at a new little ship happening over here, and I’m totally feeling it. Comment your thoughts below!

Riverdale Imagine: The Game Part 2 (Reggie x Reader)
A/N: Had quite a few requests for Part 2. Don’t worry, I wasn’t going to leave you guys hanging!!
Summary: After the reader discovers that Reggie only asked her out to win a bet, she is heartbroken and angry, promising herself that she would never talk to him again. However, she wasn’t expecting Reggie to try and explain himself the following day at school.
Approx. 1250 words
Part One Here
“Can I kill him now?”
I raised my eyes lazily as Archie stormed into my bedroom, a mixture of anger and concern showing on his face. He had always viewed me as his little sister rather than his twin, perhaps it had something to do with how much taller than me he was, and therefore in his eyes I needed protecting from everything. I smiled weakly, patting the space on the bed next to me to encourage him to join, and shook my head slowly. After he had climbed into bed beside me and put a reassuring arm around my shoulder, just as he had always done when I was upset, I leant into him and sighed.
“To be honest Arch, I think Ronnie has beaten you to it.” I joked.
“I sure do love that girl!” he laughed. Archie and Veronica had been together for a few months now and – although it was weird initially since she is my best friend – I now idolised them as a total power couple, Veronica held all the power of course. “You liked him though, right?” he asked sympathetically.
“Yes” I whispered. “I never thought I would, but I liked him very much. But, now he has shown me his true colours and it turns out that the person I liked never existed. The boy that I liked wasn’t real; he was just a player in a game, trying to win a bet with his friends.” I said bitterly. Archie nodded and rubbed my shoulder comfortingly.
“Well, I have something that might cheer you up...” he began. Just then there was a knock on the door and Veronica peeped into the room, holding a box of cupcakes.
By the following morning, after I had spent all night spilling my heart out to Veronica and eating my favourite red-velvet cupcakes that my best friend always ordered from New York when I was upset, I had decided that I was done with Reggie Mantle, he wasn’t worth my tears after all. I was sitting in the student lounge during lunchtime, reading a new book while my friends – Veronica, Archie, Betty, Jughead, and Kevin – chatted contentedly around me, when someone approached our table. I wasn’t even going to look and see who it was, nobody ever came looking for me, when I heard two chairs hastily scrape back as two people rose quickly to their feet. I raised my head to see what was going on and to my absolute horror; Veronica and Archie were standing in front of Reggie who was clearly trying to get my attention.
“She doesn’t want to talk to you Mantle. When is that message going to sink into your stupid head?” Veronica spat maliciously.
“Why don’t you let Y/N decide that for herself, Veronica?” Reggie shot back in irritation as he tried to step past her.
“I know, let’s bet on it. You’re good at that” she said pointedly, raising her eyebrows at him questioningly.
“That’s not what happened” he hissed at her, “I’m trying to explain myself to her.”
“She doesn’t want to hear it Reggie, back off” Archie warned as he took a step forwards and put a hand on Reggie shoulder, urging him to leave. Reggie cursed loudly and kicked a soda can that was lying on the floor before he stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind him. I bit my lip as I watched him leave, he was clearly upset and that pained me, but I reminded myself of what he had done and returned my attention back to my novel, avoiding the sympathetic glances of my friends.
For the rest of the day I had tried to forget the incident in the student lounge, but I couldn’t. The expression of hurt on Reggie’s face in the split-second that we made eye-contact before he left the room haunted me like a recurring dream as I left class and headed home at the end of the day. I wondered why he had been so upset. If going out with me had just been a game all along then surely he had won, why was he still trying to talk to me? I sighed, cursing my own weak-mindedness as I remembered that I had promised myself that morning that I was done with him. At that moment my phone made its familiar text-sound.
RM: Meet me at Pop’s now? I needed to talk to you. Please?
I clenched my jaw in annoyance as my heart fluttered unintentionally at the sight of his name on my screen. Why couldn’t I just hate him? It would make my life so much easier. I sighed again and I typed out my reply.
Fine. But you’re buying.
Ten minutes later, I was sitting opposite Reggie in my usual booth at Pop’s. I watched, scowling and with my arms crossed, as he tentatively pushed a chocolate milkshake towards me like I was a wild animal that might attack him at any moment.
“You have until I finish this milkshake to give me an explanation as to why you screwed me over” I announced bluntly. He nodded.
“The first time I asked you out, after the football game last month, it was for a bet. Chuck and I made a deal that whoever scored the most points during the game got to ask you out on a date, and I won” he began.
“How delightful for me” I muttered. “I’m glad I refused.”
“That’s just it Y/N! I never expected you to actually turn me down, that doesn’t really happen to me” he said, somewhat excitedly.
“This isn’t really helping you case Reggie” I said, rolling my eyes which made him chuckle.
“You have never made me work harder for a date in my life! That’s why I began to like you, because I had to know you better in order for you to actually accept my offer. By the time you finally agreed to go out with me I was so excited, I never thought you would actually say yes, and I had completely forgotten about the bet with Chuck until he announced it in the student lounge the following morning” he pleaded, looking up at me with his dark eyes, making my heart melt. I bit my lip and looked down at my now-empty milkshake glass.
“You really hurt my feelings, Reg” I whispered, refusing to return his gaze.
“I know, and I’m so sorry Y/N. Please can you give me another chance?” he begged. I smiled slowly and nodded, watching his eyes light up. He jumped around to my side of the booth and slid in beside me, pulling me swiftly into his lap and hugging me tightly as he softly kissed my shoulder where my skin was exposed.
“I have one condition Mantle” I warned, causing him to pull away from me slightly as he nodded.
“Of course Y/N, anything!”
“I want another milkshake” I announced with mock seriousness, making Reggie chuckle. He leant towards me and kissed me sweetly on the mouth, he tasted of the vanilla milkshake that he had been drinking and I smiled into the kiss. Just at that moment the bell on the door chimed as two people walked into the diner, it was Veronica and Archie. Reggie shrank down into the safety of our booth and pulled me down with him in an attempt to hide.
“Oh god” he muttered, “Can I buy you that milkshake tomorrow instead?”

I Know What You Did Last Summer
Summary: “It was murder. Your words, Betty. Murder.”
(loosely based on the movie “I Know What You Did Last Summer”.)
{ Note: This is my first fic for this fandom, so please bear with me. I would really appreciate it if you tell me your opinions! Also, I already posted this on Ao3 under my username @/southside_jones }
————————————————
Chapter One
July 04, 2016
“And this year’s Miss Riverdale is…..
Veronica Lodge!”
Betty Cooper stood up and clapped, proud of her best friend. Archie Andrews, Veronica’s boyfriend and the town’s golden boy, whistled. Jughead Jones, though not really close with the winner, clapped.
The three were situated at the second floor of the town’s auditorium. No one’s really allowed to go up there since it serves as a stock room, but it has the best view. It overlooks the whole auditorium without anyone noticing you, which is why Jughead discovered the place way back, bringing Betty or Archie sometimes. Veronica tags along too. It became their spot of some sort.
Veronica waved to the crowd as she accepted her crown. Once she spotted the three, she blew a kiss towards her boyfriend, who dramatically took the kiss by his hand and pushed it to his heart. The other two rolled their eyes at each other and smirked.
Archie put his arms around each of the two. “C'mon guys, time to celebrate!”
Jughead groaned. “Dude, school’s about to start. Shouldn’t we be laying low on the drinks?”
Archie laughed, dragging the two down the stairs to get Veronica.
Betty nodded. “Yeah, Arch. I’m leaving tomorrow to get my dorm, remember?”
“Guys, it’s our last summer as kids. All of us are going our separate ways. Let’s make the most out of it!” Archie persuaded, pulling his arms away from the two then kissing Veronica.
“Come on, guys. Sweetwater River tonight. It’s going to be epic!”
The river was packed with teenagers; either drunk, high, making out, or having sex. This is a typical scene in Veronica’s parties.
Archie’s with his fellow jocks, playing football by the water. Veronica’s chatting with Cheryl and the other vixens, congratulating her on the win. Jughead went back to the ‘bar’ to get another drink for him and Betty. The said girl was left alone by a tree, watching people sloppily make out as they try to go to the silent parts of the forest. This made her cringe. Sure, she wasn’t that stuck-up and obedient girl anymore, but some people really need to know some manners. You think that being the most popular girl’s best friend makes her used to this kind of scene, but she’s not.
Suddenly Reggie Mantle, Archie’s fellow football player, approached Betty. This made her uncomfortable, since she already knows what he’ll do, and she’s sure that anyone who sees the scenario happening knows too. Everybody knows that Reggie likes Betty.
“Hey, Betts.”
This made Betty cringe again. Either it’s because of the strong stench of alcohol on his breath, or the way he says her nickname. Only one person can call her that and make it sound right.
“Hi Reggie.”
“I see you’re lonely tonight. Mind if I join you? Or we could go to my car, it’s more quiet there.” He says, slowly leaning.
Betty scoffed and pushed him lightly. “Reg, I have a boyfriend.”
Reggie retreated, rolling his eyes. “You call Jones a boyfriend? That scrawny kid? He can’t even play football for crying ou-”
“What’s going on in here?”
Betty snapped her head up at the voice behind Reggie. Jughead appeared, walking over to her and giving her her cup, then he turned to face Reggie.
Reggie scoffed. “Really, Jones?”
“You want a round two? I’m sure your left eye would want to match the right.” Jughead threatened, his fists clenching. This earned snickers in the background, causing Reggie to glare at Jughead.
Betty knew what was about to unravel, so she squeezed in between the two. “Just stop, okay?” She pulled Jughead with her, leaving a fuming Reggie behind.
They stopped walking once they reached Jughead’s car, both of them going inside.
“You know, the last time you did that, you went home with a cut on your cheek.” Betty scolded. She didn’t want people fighting her battles. She doesn’t even fight them, because it’s not worth it.
“Well at least he went to school the next day with a black eye.” Jughead chuckled, but once he turned to Betty, he stopped. The girl was still upset.
Jughead sighed, pulling Betty’s hands to his. “I’m sorry, okay? It just really angers me that Reggie doesn’t know how to back off.”
“I know. I totally get it.” Betty replies, pulling her hands and resting it on Jughead’s cheeks. “But you don’t need to worry, okay? I’m yours.”
Jughead smirked, kissing Betty passionately. She moaned, angling her face to make the kiss deeper. Jughead put his hands on her lower back and squeezed, making her squeal and straddle Jughead on the driver’s seat. Thank God for tinted windows.
“C'mon babe, show me you’re mine.”
“We’re all going to college tomorrow.” Betty sighed, squeezing Jughead’s hand which she holds.
The four of them left the party and went on a road trip, just talking about the future and nonsense. They shared a couple of bottles, not phased by the fact that they just left a party, and were still drinking their asses off. It’s the last day of summer, anyway. Jughead decided to stop drinking, since he’s the one driving all of them home. They were already on their way home, driving down a slope.
“I know right? I won Miss Riverdale today, can’t believe that I’m leaving this place tomorrow.” Veronica agreed, touching her crown, which she wears until now.
Archie scoffed. “What’s with the gloomy mood? We still have tonight!” He stood up and opened the sunroof of his car, poking his head out and screaming.
Veronica laughed at her boyfriend. Betty, though amused, was pulling on Archie’s pants, telling him to come down. Jughead was chuckling and shaking his head. Archie truly is drunk off his ass.
Suddenly, Archie started spilling beer on his pants and the car’s floor.
“Ugh my hair!” “Archie, get down!”
Jughead turned to Archie, rolling his eyes at his friend’s clumsiness. “Dude, c'mon just go do-”
“WATCH OUT!”
Jughead turned back on the road, but it was too late. The car shot straight into the guy, sending him flying. Jughead hit the brakes quickly, making the tires screech, turning the car around. Archie’s head went forward, hitting his nose. He groans, holding his nose before going back inside the car.
“Is everyone okay?”
“My god you’re bleeding!”
“Must’ve been a dog or something.”
The four got out, inspecting the car. Archie started cursing. “My dad’s going to kill me.”
“Where’s the man?” Betty asked, shaking.
“Maybe he ran off or something. C'mon let’s g-”
“Oh my god.”
Betty stood up, turning to the three, holding a boot on her hand. Veronica gasped. Archie ran back to the car, getting flashlights.
The four slowly walked down the slope, praying for a miracle. Praying that what they saw isn’t true.
Until Betty screamed.
The stranger’s back was turned to them. They approached it slowly, Jughead checking for a pulse. The other three followed.
“Oh my god.”
“I think he’s dead.” Jughead tells the three, turning to them, scared.
“Shit! We need to go.” Archie says, starting to run back to the car.
“No way! Are you crazy?!”
“There’s traces!”
“Let’s just clean it up and go.”
“There’s blood on the car and there’s traces of the car on him. They’ll trace it back to you. You’re looking at a hit-and-run!”
Archie looked around helplessly. An idea popped in his head. “Let’s dump the body.”
“What?! No-” “Betty, let’s just pretend we were never here.” Veronica cut off, comforting Betty.
Archie walked to the “We throw the body in the water. Tomorrow, it will be washed away.”
Betty shook her head. “We need to talk to the police. I don’t want any part of thi-”
“Betts, please.” Jughead pleaded, shaking her girlfriend’s shoulders. “I’m not like the rest of you! I don’t have a family, I don’t have money. They’re all gonna think that I’m just like my father!”
“It’s your future Betty, think about it. Your college, your scholarship. The guy’s already dead, we don’t need to be dead too.”
A sound of an engine startled the four. They turned around to see a car approaching.
“Shit!” Veronica cursed.
The boys started carrying the body to the cliff.
“Faster! The car’s slowing down!”
“Distract them!”
Betty squinted to see who the driver was. Her eyes widened.
“Reggie.”
The car slowed to a stop. Betty quickly approached the car. Reggie’s head poked out of the window.
“Betty, are you okay? Car trouble?” He asked, looking at the other three a few meters away.
Betty turned to her friends, who started acting as if they were throwing up. Perfect.
“Actually, Archie got quite a lot of drinks, so we needed to stop before he throws up in the car.”
Reggie turned to face their car. The front was broken. Jughead approached the two.
“What’ can I do for you, Reggie?”
Reggie turned to the boy with a sneer. “You can wipe that fucking grin on your face, man.” He replied, cracking his knuckles. Oh, he was ready for round two now.
Jughead was silent for a few moments, before nodding, catching Reggie off guard.
“Will do, Reggie. Have a good night.”
Reggie was confused for a few moments, before he got ready to leave, turning to the girl. “Take care, Betty.” and left.
They took the body and put it inside the trunk, driving back to Sweetwater River. Luckily, the party ended a few hours ago. The boys carried the body again, the girls trailing behind.
Upon Betty’s request, and to stop another argument arising, Veronica took the stranger’s wallet. When the time comes, they might want to know who this person is. While taking the wallet, the stranger woke up.
They all screamed. Archie kicked the body into the water. Once the body disappeared, they all hurriedly walked back to the car.
“Never ever, under any circumstances, talk about this again. We take this to our grave.” Archie declared, turning to his three friends.
They all agreed.

Drama Queen
A Reggie x reader fic with lots of drama but also kinda Archie x reader? As in, reader likes Archie and Reggie likes her.
“Listen to me, I didn’t intend it to happen, I-“ “I don’t want to hear it” “Please, I didn’t know!” “Yeah.. sure!” It was nearly two in the morning and after much incessant banging and phone ringing, I had finally given in and answered the door. Veronica looked like she’d been crying and even beneath all the smudged eyeliner she was incredibly beautiful. This, of course, made me even angrier. “Y/N, listen to me! I didn’t know you liked Archie.. You never told me!” “Never told you?” I spluttered. Anger was boiling inside me and I was surprised steam wasn’t coming out of my ears. “You knew, Veronica!” “I didn’t!” Her eyes welled up with angry tears. “You never said anything… I thought we were friends! Why wouldn’t you tell me?” “Don’t you dare try to turn this on me!” I said, shouting now. The neighbour’s dog began to howl. Soon the whole street would be awake. “I’m not! But you can’t seriously blame me! How was I supposed to know that you liked Archie? And even if you did, you don’t own him, Y/N.” That felt like a slap across the face. I knew I didn’t own Archie. I’d just always thought we would end up together… eventually. We had always been friends, since we were little. Both Betty and I had worshiped Archie all through high school. But then Betty found Jughead and I was sure Archie would turn to me. “You know what, Ronnie? If it weren’t for you, none of this would have happened. But you came waltzing into our lives and fucked everything up. I wish you’d never set a foot in Riverdale.” The words came out before I had time to think. But in that moment, I meant them. Veronica’s face burned red in the dim streetlight. Something shifted in her expression and I sensed danger. “I can’t believe I came here to apologise and ask you to give me another chance. You’ll have to grovel if you even want to speak to me again.” She turned away from me, her coat whirling in the light breeze. She walked down to the street and then turned round. “And as if you could ever have Archie.” And she walked into the night.
*
My alarm buzzed unrelentingly against by bed side table but I couldn’t face turning it off. If I turned it off it meant I had to get up. And if I got up it meant I had to go to school – and that was something I couldn’t face. “Y/N” My mum called through the door “Get up now! You have to be at school in twenty minutes.” I rolled onto my side and looked out the window. It was raining. Maybe I could feign a cold or something? But that would never convince my mother who always said ‘Education is the most important thing’. The alarm buzzed again and I slammed my hand on it, deafening the sound. I got up and dressed slowly, tying my hair into a French braid and painstakingly tying my shoe laces as slowly as possible. “Y/N, now!” I slung my backpack over my shoulder and slouched down the stairs. “Finally. Shall I drive you to school on my way to work?” My mother asked appearing at the bottom of the stairs. “No, I’ll walk.” “You’ll get soaked!” She complained but I was already out the door. I pulled my hood up and began the usual road to the institution of torture. The uninviting building was in sight when I heard a familiar voice calling my name. My stomach tightened as I turned round to see the red-haired boy jogging to catch up with me. “Hey Arch” I mumbled keeping my eyes trained on the wet pavement. “I talked to Veronica” he said cutting to the chase instantly. I managed a nondescript mumble in answer. “Y/N, why were you so horrible to her?” My head shot up and I found myself gazing into his dark eyes. “And what about me, Arch? Don’t you care about how she treated me?” Archie rolled his eyes in exasperation. “You must know you’re the one that’s in the wrong here, Y/N.” “I thought I was your friend, Archie! I’ve known you since we were five. How long have you known her for?” “Don’t be such a drama queen!” I chuckled humourlessly and continued down the road. Archie grabbed my arm and turned me round to face him. “Look, I’m sorry if your feelings were hurt, Y/N, but Ronnie is my girlfriend now and I just want us all to get on.” “Oh please, Archie. Don’t act all holier than thou, you knew damn fine how I felt about you.” I scoffed and pulling my arm out of his grasp I practically ran to school. Once inside I felt eyes on me and wondered how many people Veronica had told already. I tried to ignore them all, walking with my head high towards my locker. Once there I opened it and tried to conceal my face as hot tears spilled down my icy cheeks. How could they do this to me? “Well, well, well. Y/N you look very wet this morning.” I slammed my locker, insult ready at the tip of my tongue. Reggie stood in front of my locker, teardrops glistening in his dark hair. I opened my mouth to burn him into oblivion when an idea hit me, just like a comic book character with a lightbulb over their head. “Oh Reg, I’ve never been wetter” I said with a sly smile. Reggie looked taken-aback at my new approach. “I’m sure we could change that” Reggie said, casually leaning on the locker next to mine. “Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Mantle.” “Meet me at Pop’s tonight and I’ll make sure I keep that promise.” “Done. I’ll see you at nine” I said, grabbing my books and giving him a flirtatious wink as I headed for English. A mop of red hair caught my eye as I strode past and I felt triumph. It was a small comfort but if Archie and Veronica heard about this then they’d know I wasn’t going to just lie down and take their shit.
*
I didn’t bother getting too dressed up. After all, this is Reggie Mantle we’re talking about – he’ll flirt with anything. I slipped my earrings on and took one last look in the mirror. A dress, not too fancy but still cute and boots that would survive the rain. I grabbed my jacket and headed downstairs. “I’m going out!” I called over my shoulder and rushed out the door to avoid the ‘But it’s a school night’ lecture. Reggie was already sitting at a booth in Pop’s when I arrived. The fluorescent lighting gave his hair a pink tinge. He was inevitably wearing his football jacket. I rolled my eyes at the predictability and plastered a flirty smile on my face as I slid into the booth opposite him. “Hello gorgeous!” he said smiling from ear to ear. “Hi Reggie.” “I have to say, I’m a little surprised you came. I guess I always thought you hated me. Although now I see that was just a way to cover up that you’re madly in love with me.” He slung an arm around the back of the booth and flashed me a model smile. I couldn’t help but laughing. “Sure, keep dreaming, Mantle.” The waitress took our order and I sipped my milkshake looking absent-mindedly out the window. “Something on your mind?” Reggie asked leaning towards me. “Not really.” I muttered, stirring my milkshake with my straw. “What was up at lunch? You weren’t sitting with your bag of weirdos.” I feigned indifference and drank some more milkshake. I was not about to spill out all my feelings to Reggie Mantle. “So what happened?” he pressed. “Nothing, just fell out with Veronica.” “Why? Did you have a contest on who’s hotter and you won?” I laughed again. “Hardly. I think we both know who would win that.” I couldn’t keep the bitterness out of my voice. “Do we?” Reggie’s hand found mine and he interlocked our fingers. I looked up at him. “You’re really beautiful, Y/N” I shrugged off my embarrassment and pulled my hand from his. “What would your team mates think if they heard this?” “They’d never believe it.” “How do you know I don’t have my phone recording this whole thing?” I joked. He feigned horror. “You’d ruin the reputation I’ve worked so hard to build.” “Then you’d better make this night enjoyable, Mantle.”
*
“Can I walk you home?” Reggie asked, hands deep in his pockets and hopping from foot to foot to keep warm. “Don’t you live on the other side of here?” I asked, peering at him from beneath my hood. “Yeah but I like walking in the rain. There’s something relaxing about it.” I nodded and we began walking towards my house. “So, will you tell me something about yourself, Y/N?” he asked. “What do you mean?” “Well, we’ve spent more time together tonight than we have in all these years I’ve known you and still I feel like I know nothing about you.” I shrugged. “Not much to know. I guess I’ve mostly defined myself through my friends in the past and now…” I trailed off. When I said friends I really meant Archie. “Yeah you and Andrews are always together, aren’t you?” I nodded. “Anything going on there?” Reggie asked with a small smile. “Definitely not. He’s dating Veronica.” A small shadow of recognition seemed to cross Reggie’s face but he was soon smiling again. We made our way up my street and the rain had abated slightly. Reggie reached out and grabbed my hand. I was surprised but found the warmth emanating from him surprisingly comforting. We reached my door and I turned round to face him. “Well, this is me.” I felt distinctly awkward. Was he expecting to kiss me? “I had a great time” He said, standing very close to me. He brushed a strand of hair that had come loose from my braid out of my face. “Me too” “Y/N?” He asked, dangerously close now. “Yeah?” “Can I kiss you?” “Only if you promise I won’t end up in that stupid playbook” I muttered. He grimaced and shook his head. “I wouldn’t do that to you.” And then he kissed me.
*
The moment I walked into school the next day I bumped straight into Veronica. “Woops, sorry” I said before realising who it was. You could have cut the tension with a knife. “Ready to apologise?” Veronica asked bluntly. What was it with her and Archie? “Don’t beat around the bush do you?” “Well?” I didn’t answer. Veronica rolled her eyes and pushed past me, her elbow digging into my arm. I winced slightly at the pain. “Hey, beautiful!” Reggie was walking towards me, a huge grin on his face. “Hi Reg” I mumbled, massaging my arm lightly. “Are you free again tonight?” “Oh, Reggie, I don’t know, I-“ but Veronica was standing watching me and I changed tactic. “Yup, 9 suit again?” “Sure thing, babe” Reggie said and walked off. “Y/N?” I turned round to see Betty. “What was that about? Are you dating Reggie?” Dear, sweet Betty. She would never take sides in this argument but though I’d known her longer that didn’t stop her from sitting with Veronica and Archie at lunch the day before. “Oh yes, didn’t you know?” I said with a fake giggle. “I’m seeing him tonight.”
*
I should’ve known, really. Should’ve known that Veronica wouldn’t have let things stay as they were. I was sitting in the same booth as the day before, laughing at one of Reggie’s terrible jokes when the door to Pop’s opened and in walked the two people I wanted to see least. Veronica’s heels echoed on the floor as she walked right towards us. “Y/N, Reggie” she said with an icy smile. “Funny seeing you here” Archie hovered in the background, awkwardly running his hands through his hair. My stomach churned at the sight of him. “Veronica, Andrews” Reggie nodded. “Wanna join us?” “Oh that’s okay. We wouldn’t want to disturb, would we babe?” she slipped her hand in Archie’s and he grinned involuntarily. The sight was enough to make me cry. “You know,” she continued “it’s so nice you two have found each other and that Archiekins and I have found one another. Did you know Y/N had a huuuuge crush on Archie?” She smiled sweetly at Reggie and my heart dropped. “Oh really?” Reggie said, arching an eyebrow and looking at me. “Oh yeah, massive! In fact until really recently. Funny you got over it so fast, Y/N. But I guess Reggie has that effect on people” “Ronnie, let’s just go” Archie said avoiding my gaze. “Really, Archie? You can’t even talk to me?” I fumed. I didn’t know where the anger was coming from but it was making me insane in that moment. “After all of those years of friendship you just give up and hide behind Veronica? I understand this from her, but from you? I love you!” Archie hung his head. “I think we’ll go grab a booth.” Veronica said with a triumphant smile. I watched her go my heart aching. I thought I’d found a true friend in her. I tapped my straw against my glass furiously. Then I looked up to see Reggie staring at me. “Is this all true? You’re in love with Archie?” “I-I don’t know about in love… I-“ But Reggie cut across me. “And what, you were trying to use me to make him jealous? I think it’s pretty clear it isn’t working.” “Reggie, I-“ “I don’t like being used, Y/N. I don’t see why you had to involve me in your stupid drama.” He stood up. “Reggie don’t. It’s not like that-“ “Save it. I don’t want to hear your stupid excuses. You’re so fucking immature.” And with that he walked away from me. I was left alone in the booth. Alone to watch Reggie’s retreating figure through the window.
A/N: Hey guys, thanks so much for reading. I realise this is ridiculously long but I like lots of build up as I’m sure you can tell. Let me know if you enjoyed this and feel free to request anything you’d like. xoxo

a/n: please please request ideas for short series or one shots!! i like to cater to you guys and sometimes you really do come up with some cool ideas!! love always R🌹
as the years went on you’d think bullying and slut shaming was a thing of the past, you were sadly mistaken. in fact it seemed to get worse and more and more creative as the times went on.
i obliviously walked into school head held higher than normal as i spot Betty and Veronica standing near my locker, smiling brightly i approach them a little bounce in my step as I over to them.
“hey”
i gawk smiling like an idiot, i had my very first date last night with one Reggie Mantle and you think it went rather well. we had a meal at pops and then went to the drive in to watch a movie where we stuffed our faces with junk food and spent the night cuddled up in the back of his truck with some small make out sessions before he dropped me home just before curfew.
I was still grinning, the gang wasn’t very thrilled with the idea of me going they said that he was a stupid football jock that just wanted to get into my pants and last night just proves that they were wrong - for once.
my smile fades as i glance at their concerned expression, i grab my books and close my locker as they glance from their phones to others loitering in the halls before first period before finally glancing at me.
“what?” i laugh glancing the hall to see many eyes on me, i spot Archie his expression the same as the girls.
“okay what the hell happened”
i ask breaking the silence, tapping my fingers against my books growing impatience at their lack of emotions and words.
“will someone please tell me what’s going on!”
i practically yell, Veronica glances at her phone again and i snatch it from her grasp as the red headed boy stops in front of us mumbling a small greeting.
i glance at the phone and see that the photo Reggie had taken off me last night in the drive in cuddle up to him, only he’d modified the picture and photoshopped maple syrup running down my face.
“oh my god” i say my breathe catching in my throat i click on the comments and instantly regret it the words ‘slut’ ‘ugly’ 'whore’ 'attention seeking’ came up regularly along with comments about my weight and seemed liked everything else 'what a freak’ i give Veronica back her phone and sniffle tears pricking my eyes.
I look up to see Betty and Veronica staring me down
“do it say it!! okay 'i told you so’ okay I get it”
the girls shake their heads scrambling for words to comfort me
“forget it” i whisper pushing past them
“(y/n)” i hear archie call but I ignore him keeping my head down as i rush to class, everyone laughing and sharing comments as I pass.
i round the corner and slam into a body, we bump heads and i cuss grabbing my fallen bag and glances to see Jughead concern etched on his face “I saw the picture are you okay?” i sigh sniffling.
“no” i whisper
he places his hand on my shoulder rubbing it soothingly “i didn’t even do anything juggie- Archie’s and the others are just itching to tell me that they were right- again!”
“it’s okay- we know it’s not true. people believe what they want okay you-” jughead tries to soothe me running his hands up and down my arms.
“jughead” we both look up to see the smug look of Reggie
my blood boils and I shove his chest “i can’t believe you” i spit tearing up at the sight of him.
“what’s wrong baby?” he coos placing his hand tenderly on my shoulder i shudder at his touch and rip my shoulder from his grasp “don’t touch me reggie!” i warn.
he steps forward and jughead stands in front of me protectively, he laughs clapping his hands looking to his boys standing behind him “would you look at that” he howls getting up in jughead face.
“don’t even think about it” i seethe standing in front of jughead pushes at reggies chest.
as much as i wanted to cower behind juggie i knew that Reggie wouldn’t flinch punching him and the last thing i wanted was for my best friend to get punched in the face.
“oh c'mon i wasn’t going to punch your little boyfriend” he teases winking at the both of us “he’s not my boyfriend reggie- he’s my friend and i will not let some jerk bully my friends” i shout “or me for that matter”
he bites his lip pulling me into the wall pinning me down “god your hot when your angry” he whispers huskily into my neck.
“get off!!” i yell looking desperately to jughead for help but Reggies boys were holding him hostage.
“i mean it Reggie get off” i yell everyone decides to gather to watch the show, i thrash trying to get out of his grip but it’s useless.
“oh come one little (y/n) you weren’t this shy with me last night” i squirm “your fat ass wasn’t mad when I had my tongue in your mouth” he smirks and i cringe knowing that he was right.
“MANTLE” i head a loud voice
“archie” i say breathless my eyes begging for help
“let her go now” he orders edging closer
“or what andr-” he didn’t get to finish his sentence before archie ran and shoved Reggie off me and onto the floor.
grabbing me by the waist and pulling me into his arms
“so this is your boyfriend?” he howls “Andrews and (y/l/n) nice, I mean Arch buddy you could do way better she’s not much of a 10” he chuckles the group agreeing with him
“you okay” he whispers i nod “im okay now” i smile at him
“hate to break up the love fest but she’s mine archie, her face might not be all that but boy is her body”
the group whistles as they look me up and down taking in every once of me, i felt disgusted and disappointed that I ever thought Reggie was more than a jock with a good body.
the moment didn’t last as reggie grabbed me and shoved me into jughead, that flicks a switch in archie as he punches the boy in the jaw they wrestle around punching other and i yell for them to stop jughead holding me back.
the teachers are alerted and rush over to separate the boys as soon as Archie’s pulled back i run over to him placing my hands on his cheeks examining his face.
“arch” i say sadly glancing at his bruised eye and split lip.
“Andrews, Mantle my office NOW”
//
“i can’t believe the fought over you!” Ronnie squeals helping me zip up the back of my cheerleading uniform “swoon!” she finishes skipping over to Betty.
“it wasn’t over me, reggie was being an ass and Archie was just being a good friend” i conclude pulling my hair into a half up half down look adding blue ribbon for school spirt.
“have you spoke to him since it happened?” Betty asks sitting in front of me worry filling her voice.
“no, he had detention at lunch” she nods and i feel guilty “he came to see me after school but i just wanted to be alone. ill see him tonight” i try and smile knowing that Reggie would also be at the game.
Veronica touches up my face with a little makeup before the three of us head to school for the pep rally, my mood lifts a little football games were a ritual for me. i loved cheering with B & V and watching Archie play. Often we managed to drag Jughead and Kevin to the games to watch us all tonight that was one of those nights.
we meet the squad in the change rooms and grab our poms poms getting ready to go out onto the field to get the crowd pumped
“you will speak with him before the game right?” Veronica asks me worried, i nod following the girls out onto the field “promise”
“WOOHOO GO THE BULLDOGS” we cheer running and flipping out onto the field hyping the crowd up i spot jughead in the crowd and i jog over to him when Cheryl isn’t looking
“juggie!” i yell catching his attention “have you seen arch?” as the words leave my mouth the bulldogs run through the banner Archie leading the pack with a huge black eye. i glance at him guilty, he doesn’t see me searching through the crowd of river vixen. “ill talk to you later” i tell him he smiles frustrated giving me the 'I know your not okay’ stare.
i jog over to the drinks table where Archie stand his back facing me, i approach place my hand on his shoulder causing him to spin around relief flooding his expression as he realises it’s me.
“oh thank god it thought you weren’t here and i know you love the games and I didn’t want you to not come because of reggie and-” i cut him off placing my hand on his cheek touching the purpleness around his eyes gently.
“oh arch” he’s hand shots up to touch mine “im so sorry” i tell him tearing up
“hey it’s okay-” and just like that he’s swept up onto the field with all the others “arch” i call out trying to get he’s attention.
“hey it’s okay” i feel Betty’s hand on my shoulder “we gotta get ready” i nod turning to face her following her back to the squad getting ready to perform
//
the game finished miserable as the win was taken away from us in the last 5 minutes, the bulldogs look dull as they exit the field heading to the locker rooms. i sigh and grab my bag walking after the boys i needed to speak with Archie.
“(y/n)” i hear jughead call, choosing to ignore him i walk faster hoping to catch archie before he got into the locker room
“hey!” he yells panting as he catching up to me “ignore me much?” i roll my eyes
“i need to talk with archie okay? now are walking me or not?” i stop glancing at him “fine but yes i am because i swear to god if reggie lays a finger on you” i roll my eyes pulling him behind me
“yeah yeah you’ll kill him”
i push through the crowd of half naked boys as they undress ready to hit the showers, i struggle to find the boy before i spot the familiar red mop of hair. i weave in and out of the crowd before i edge closer to him.
he mustn’t of seen me because he turned and crash into me losing his towel in the process, jughead covers my eyes as Archie scrambles to re adjust his towel “(y/n) jughead what are you doing-”
i put my finger on his lips silencing him “let me talk please” i tell him, gaining the attention of everyone in the locker room.
i realise now why Jughead thought this was a bad idea
“look im sorry about today- your eye you losing the captain spot- you shouldn’t have gotten involved Archie it wasn’t your fight! you warned me and i didn’t listen and now your in trouble with your dad and the principal and you have a busted lip and a black eye all because of that freaking jerk!” i yell tearing up feeling stupid
“I know how much football meant to you, you need it to get into college to study your music and i completely ruined it for you because of a stupid stupid idea to prove a point!”
i run my fingers through my hair a few tears falling down my face, i wipe them as quickly as they fall Archie looks defeated not knowing what to say
“(y/n)-” he steps forward but stops as loud clapping fills the locker room
“what a speech” i growl facing Reggie
“oh go fuck yourself Reggie, haven’t you ruined enough lives today!” he smirks leaning against the locker his towel hanging low off his hips.
he reaches out to brush my hair behind my ear and Archie moves in front of me but i clasp my arm around his bicep “he isn’t worth it” i spit tugging Archie toward me.
“did i tell you how good you looked in that uniform” he licks his lips “that mini skirt, it’s like your begging for someone to kiss you, you look in desperate need let me help you princess”
he attempts to walk over to me but i extend my hand to his chest playing with him
“you know reg your right, i do really need a kiss” i tell him pulling my bottom lip with my teeth and fiddling with the bottom of my skirt fluttering my lashes.
i can see Archie adjusting his towel all the boys seem to be getting rather bothered by my act, Reggie steps forward reaching out to grab my waist but i spin grabbing the back of Archie’s neck and pulling him in for a kiss, jumping up to wrap my legs around his waist.
i deepen the kiss cheers from his team mates fill the air, i break away breathless kissing him once more before Archie sets me back down.
“much better” i sigh glances at a very frustrated Reggie “oh and reg you might wanna take a cold shower for junior” i tug at his towel leaving him completely naked before peeking Archie on the lips.
“see you outside”
he blushes scratching the back of his neck as he watches me walk out with jughead, i bite my lip swinging my hips feeling confident as i wait outside the locker room
“wow” jughead exclaims pacing back and fourth as the rest of our friends spot us and walk over to us, i roll my eyes at him grabbing his jacket to stop the pacing.
“hey” i greet the girls
“Pop’s?” Betty asks
we nod “yeah of course!”
“okay well lets go im sure archie can catch up” Veronica smiles grabbing my arm
“oh ill just wait for him we’ll meet you there!” they narrow their eyes jughead refusing to make eye contact not wanting to be interrogated.
“uh i haven’t spoken to him yet so i can do it on my way over before we met yous” they share glances with each other before nodding at my story.
“okay fine, jughead are you going to escort your ladies” he rolls his eyes pushing off the wall as the girls loop their arms with his and heading toward our favourite hang out.
the boys start exiting the locker room glancing at me as i wait fiddling with my hair and avoiding all eye contact. standing up to reggie wasn’t all that and but he whole makeout session could’ve been prevented but i was feeling epic.
“(y/n)? where are the others?” i glance up at the voice smiling at the red headed boy
i suddenly feel nervous my knees wobbling and my cheeks heating up at my name coming out of his mouth.
“uh they um- they are going to pops- i um told them that we’d yanno met them there” i finishes awkwardly glancing at my feet as I scuff them.
“that is if you want to go- if not i can just walk myself-” he smiles shaking his head at me “no no i wanna come” “good” i smile and with that we set off to Pop’s silence filling the air.
we reach the diner and i stop spoting our friends in the booth next to the window, Archie notices and stops turning to face me “you okay?” i nod
“im sorry about what happened before” i blurt worried that i misread Archie’s feelings toward me. nervousness washes over me and my smile slips from my lips.
“hey hey- no don’t be- it was amazing, your amazing” he finishes grabbing my hips and tugging me toward him.
"if im not mistaking is mr Archie Andrews finally making the first move?” i hint playful playing with his shirt, he laughs playfully placing his soft lips on me and closing the small gap between our bodies.
“you know Reg was right about the whole cheerleader outfit” i raise my eyebrows “hot as hell”
i kiss him back before lacing my hands with his and pulling him into the diner walking over to our friends sliding in next to Jughead as Archie takes the seat next to me siting closer then usual he drapes his arm across the back of the booth touching my shoulder soothingly.
“okay what the hell happened in the locker room?” Veronica asks sipping her milkshake.
“oh they had a huge make out session infringed of reggie it was intense should’ve been there” jughead spills earning a smack up side the head from Archie
“dude?”
i blush covering my face and leaning into Archie, i peer through my fingers and see the two girls staring intensely at m “what!” i complain giggling.
the group fall into a fit of laughter and i smile up at Archie as he tightens his grip around my waist making me feel safe.
this is where I belong.

I'll Be A Better Man Today (3) - Reggie x Reader
Summary: Reggie pulls out all the stops to attempt to win you back. Warnings: maybe a swear word A/N: final part to this series! hope you all enjoyed this.
**
Friday finally dawned; as you crept out the front door you automatically looked towards the kerb. No Reggie. Were you disappointed or relieved? You couldn’t say for sure. Driving into the school lot, you noticed that Reggie was absent from there too. You didn’t know if this was a good sign - your heart ached a little at the thought of him giving up on you so quickly. You told yourself that if he refused to become a better person for his own sake, you didn’t need him. As much as it hurt to fully understand that, it was the truth.
The day went by, and you didn’t see Reggie until lunchtime. He passed by you in the hallway, a smile as big as the sun on his face. Half the football team were with him, but he paused momentarily to cheerfully greet not only you, but Jughead. When Jughead returned the smile - albeit a lower-watt version - you began to wonder if you had somehow crossed to an alternate dimension. Jughead noticed the way you stared at him; ‘You okay?’
You nodded, slowly. ‘Did Reggie just…’ you trailed off, unable to find the words. Jughead had to hide a knowing smile; instead, he just said, 'you know, he hasn’t said or done anything to me since last week.’ Your eyes almost popped out of your head. Your best friend nodded, carrying the conversation in a careful, calculated, casual tone. 'Yep. Not one bad word or any attempt at a physical assault. I’m surprised, too,’ he informed you. Glancing back over your shoulder, you caught a glimpse of the raven-haired boy as he entered a classroom. Had yesterday’s outburst really gotten through to him?
You and Jughead found the usual crew, sitting around a table outside. Still feeling off-balance at the revelation that it’s been a week since Reggie had done anything bad to Jughead, you were silent, deep in thought, as you sat next to Veronica. Jughead watched you, carefully. Time for phase two, he thought.
'So, Arch. You nervous for the big game tonight?’ The red-head chuckled and shrugged. 'Nah, Reggie’s been killing us in training, but I think it’s gonna do us good tonight.’ Turning to the three girls, including you, he posed the question, 'You’re all coming, right?’
Betty nodded and Veronica winked- 'as if we’d miss out on cheering for our favourite ginger!’ It was a silly question, really. The girls were River Vixens, and Cheryl would have their heads mounted to her wall if they failed to show up.
You, on the other hand, shook your head. 'No, I think I’m gonna stay home and study,’ you said apologetically. Jughead froze. This was not a part of the plan. He leaned in closer to you.
'C'mon, (Y/N/N), even I’m going,’ Betty smiled at this and reached to give his hand an appreciative squeeze. 'If I have to suffer, you do too,’ he teased, and felt victorious when a small laugh escaped your lips. 'I dunno, Jug. I- it’s - I’m just not sure I can handle it.’ You bit your lip, and Jughead caught Veronica’s questioningly glance. He’d explain later - right now, he needed to get you to attend the football match.
'Betty, tell her she has to come,’ he told his girlfriend in a faux-whiney voice. Betty smiled sympathetically at you. 'She doesn’t have to if she doesn’t want to,’ of course she’d side with you. She was too caring to force you into having to spend two hours watching your ex from the bleachers. Jughead cursed silently. He turned to Veronica, a pleading look on his face.
'I think you should come,’ she told you firmly, 'Show that jerk that he’s not going to stop you from living your best life with your best friends!’ She squeezed your elbow gently. You weren’t convinced. Jughead knew by your expression. You stood your ground all the way through break, and then Jughead lost his opportunity to keep insisting as you had separate classes for the rest of the day. He managed to grab you for a few seconds after final bell.
'I’ll be picking you up at six,’ he said, and ran off before you could say anything. Sure enough, at six o'clock that evening, he was on your doorstep. Your dad opened the door, smiling warmly at him.
'Hey, Mr. (Y/L/N). Is (Y/N) here?’ 'No, I’m afraid not, Jughead. She’s gone to the library to study.’
Jughead officially went into panic mode. The match was due to start in an hour - Reggie had no idea he had failed to complete his part of the plan. He drove like a crazed man to the field, getting Moose to pass on a message when he entered the changing room.
Reggie stormed out, face screwed up angrily. 'What do you mean she isn’t coming?’ He demanded, face hot and flushed. 'She’s gone to the library, what am I supposed to do, physically drag her out?’ Reggie considered it for a split second - then came to his senses. 'Go talk to her,’ he begged the smaller boy. 'Please. Just don’t tell her what I have planned.’
Jughead knew it was probably a lost cause. But the look of fear on Reggie’s face at the thought of losing you forever made it impossible to deny him. He agreed, and drove across town to the local library, seeking you out. His nerves were shot, as he whispered your name walking through the many shelves of books. You were nowhere to be seen. He called you - straight to voicemail. Text messages went unseen and as the clock ticked on and crept closer to seven, Jughead wondered if he should just give up now. The thought of having to face Reggie and tell him again she wasn’t coming, for definite this time, twisted his insides into an uncomfortable knot. He decided to go to Pops, and return to the game when it had already started. He actually felt sorry for Reggie - he’d seen how much of a mess he was since you had ended things. For once, Jughead got to see the man you knew, the caring and sensitive side to someone Jughead had always thought was just a meathead jock.
** Pop’s was quiet, most people attending the Bulldog match against Liberty High, a long-time nemesis of the school. He leaned against the counter, drumming his fingers across the cool top, eyes shifting to note the time. Eleven minutes past seven. The game had begun. Without (Y/N).
He noticed something in the corner of his eye - a blur of movement. Relief floored him as he saw you, sunk low into your seat, hood pulled over your forehead, sitting in a booth at the bottom of the restaurant. You had seen him enter, and had panicked. When you realised you were spotted, your shoulders slumped in defeat. Jughead sprinted to you, demanding to know why you had lied to your dad.
'Because I knew whatever he said, you’d go looking,’ you explained in a voice that said, isn’t in obvious? Grinding his teeth together, Jughead opened his mouth, but you cut him off quickly. 'I am not going to that damn match, Jughead.’ Your voice was flat, tough as a brick wall. He relented, pulling the half-drank milkshake across to take a sip. Sitting opposite you, Pop himself came down to take his order - his usual, and nothing for you. A brainwave hit like lightening. He took out his phone and texted Betty.
to; Betty go down to reggie at half time & tell him to go ahead with the plan
Seconds later, the screen lit up with a response.
from; Betty what plan??
to; Betty just tell him that, and video call me when he gets up on the stage
After a moment, he tapped out another text.
to; Betty i’ll explain later i promise x
from; Betty okay x
He smiled - then wiped it off his face when he realised you were staring at him, suspicion rife across your features. Pop placed a burger in front of him, and left you a fresh milkshake - 'on the house’ - which you accepted gratefully. You both sat silently. Which wasn’t anything new - oftentimes you both went to Pop’s and sat without speaking, you working on homework or a new entry to your journal, Jughead tapping away at his laptop as he wrote up his novel.
Jughead ate slowly, every so often looking to the clock on the wall, counting down the minutes. You didn’t notice, finding the contents of your milkshake too interesting to lift your eyes from the bottom of the glass. Finally, Jughead’s phone buzzed again. Betty’s smiling face filled the screen; he took a moment to just appreciate his girlfriend and then answered. She came into view, the camera quality a little off, the sounds of the roaring crowd filtering through the mic.
'Hey!’ She spoke loudly, and Jughead asked her to turn the phone towards the stage. Reggie was already standing up by the mic on the stage. In the background, Ronnie was pestering Betty with questions about what he was doing. 'What’s going on, Jug?’ The blonde asked, exasperated, the camera switching back to her face. 'Just go closer to the stage,’ he urged, and handed the phone to you.
You took it, questioningly. Jughead just nodded, and you frowned as you realised what you were looking at.
'Jughead, what is this?’
'Just watch.’
You knew you wouldn’t get any information from him, you resigned yourself to seeing what would unfold. Reggie was adjusting the mic to his height, covered in sweat and mud and looking far too good for someone so dirty. 'Hello, everybody!’ His voice boomed through the field, crackling over the line. Pop heard it, and sent an inquisitive look their way.
'I hope you’re all having fun tonight!’ The crowd responded with loud cheers, and you resisted the urge to turn the volume down. 'As many of you know,’ the football captain continued, 'I have been dating (Y/N) (Y/L/N) for a few months now.’
Your heart leapt to your throat. What was he doing?
'Well, last weekend, she ended things,’ now there were boos, and you felt shamed and embarrassed. 'But she was right to,’ this time, silence met his announcement. 'I have been an absolute jerk towards many students in this school. I think I just got so used to it, and it became a habit. But that is no excuse. I wanted to take this moment to apologise profusely to anyone I have ever harassed or belittled, or just been an ass to. I especially want to say I’m sorry to Jughead Jones. Now, he isn’t here tonight, neither is (Y/N), and I don’t blame her for not showing up. But, if things have gone right, she is watching this from somewhere right now. I hope she is. (Y/N), I am so in love with you, and the past five days have been hell without you. You have shown me that I don’t need to be a jerk to feel better about myself. Every day with you is all I need to be happy. I know I have a long way to go, and a lot of things to make up for. But I promise you, if you give me the chance, I will never let you down again.’
Pop had wandered over towards your booth somewhere in the middle of Reggie’s heartfelt speech. You were in a state of shock. Betty had turned the phone back to her and you passed it over to Jughead. He spoke to his girl but you felt deaf to whatever they were saying. Frozen to your seat, a hand on your shoulder drew you back to reality. Pop stared down at you, smiling knowingly. 'Go and get him,’ he told you in his deep voice. You met Jughead’s eyes. He was smiling.
'You knew about this.’ It wasn’t a question.
'Yep.’ He popped the p at the end of the word; you giggled, still in shock. 'Shall we go?’ He asked, standing up and offering you a hand. After a seconds hesitation, you took it.
**
The game was coming to an end when Jughead pulled in. You got out of the car, nervous, excited. The two of you stood at the side of the bleachers, watching as the final whistle blew, and the Bulldogs were declared the winners. Jughead could only roll his eyes as Moose, Reggie, and Archie all collided in an aggressive victory hug. Smashing off each other and whooping. Jughead pushed you forward. The nerves drowned out of everything else; you felt rooted to the spot. Reggie suddenly looked around - searching for you. In the shadows, you watched his face fall, all happiness draining out of his body as disappointment washed over. That was all you needed to make your feet move.
He almost missed you walking to him. It was only when you stopped right in front of him, and he kept walking, blinded by his thoughts, that he saw you. He gripped your shoulders automatically as he almost knocked you over, lifting his eyes from the muddy grass to apologise. He paused - you were there. You were with him. All words deserted him. He could stand there, his hands feeling your solid warmth. You were here.
'I can’t believe you did that,’ you told him, a smile playing on the edge of your lips. You were looking at him so softly, so … so lovingly, it almost broke his heart again. 'I meant every word,’ he promised, holding you tighter, afraid you would slip from his grasp should he let go. You nodded, and stepped closer, your bodies pressed together. His breath hitched.
'I know.’
It was only a whisper, but it felt like a scream to him. He dragged you in, lifting you up and spinning you around in a vice grip of a hug, his face buried in the crook of your neck.
'I am never letting go of you again,’ he mumbled against the skin. You felt mud smearing across your skin, but in that moment, you didn’t care. You pulled back, and saw panic flashing in his features as he thought you were trying to get away.
Then, you rested your hand against his cheek, hot, slick with sweat. Your eyes flickered to his lips briefly. 'Reggie?’ 'Yeah?’
The words were so quiet you could both barely hear them, only that you were so close together that your breath mingled with his.
'Kiss me.’
Reggie didn’t need to be told twice. He slotted his lips against yours, kissing you once, twice, furthering the third one by angling your head to the side by curling his fingers through your hair. You were vaguely aware of the River Vixens and the rest of the bulldogs cheering you on. But all you could feel, taste, smell, was Reggie. He surrounded you completely, as you did him. When you broke apart for air, your foreheads touched.
'I love you, (Y/N).’
'I love you, Reggie.’

The Jock and the Loner || Jughead Jones
Prompt from anon: Same anon who asked about a male reader! I was just thinking maybe the reader could be on the football team and Jughead avoids him for the longest time because he assumes he’ll bully him like the other jocks, but then the reader asks him out or something? ♡
A/N: I loved writing this. It’s my first time writing a male reader so I hope I did this prompt justice!

Half-time. That would be a good time to talk to him, right? It was in a few minutes. He couldn’t really escape. Not that you were trying to corner him or anything, you just wanted to—
“Hey! L/N! Wake up!” Reggie barked.
You snapped out of your thoughts, looking up at your teammate (and best friend.)
“It’s the championship game, L/N. Don’t flake out on me now.” he spat as the rest of your team members looked at you.
You quickly nodded.
“Understood, Mantle.” you responded.
Reggie resumed talking again, but your mind kept going back to Jughead. You were about to ask him out, yet you had never spoken to him before in your life. You had only seen him in the hallways and in English class. One of the main reasons the two of you hadn’t spoken was because of your social statuses. You were a jock, Jughead was a loner. Not that you cared, but it seemed Jughead did. Jughead had an animosity towards all jocks and you didn’t blame him. You saw the way your friends teased him and you berated yourself everyday for not speaking up about it. You never joined in with their teasing, but you didn’t do anything about it either so you felt you were just as bad as them. Jughead avoided you like he avoided the rest of the jocks and you could never find a time when he was alone to talk to him.
You were still in the closet. The only person who knew was Archie. And Jason. You shook that thought from your head. You wouldn’t think about Jason today. You were scared about how the rest of the jocks, especially Reggie, would react. Sure, you knew that he wasn’t your true friend if he didn’t accept you for who you were, but that didn’t mean you were ready to risk that friendship and tell him.
“Break!” the team yelled and clapped once as they began to move apart.
You froze.
Wait, what was the play?
Archie quickly came over and clapped you on the back.
“Jason’s play. That’s what they’re going with.”
You sighed in relief.
“Thanks, Arch.” you said.
You got into position, looking over at the clock.
Four minutes and thirty-two seconds until the end of the first half. You could do this.
…
The whistling signaling the second quarter being over made you freeze as you looked over to where you knew Jughead was. The boy was leaning against the bleachers, looking around aimlessly.
“Go for it, man.” Archie said, coming up behind you.
You turned to the ginger.
“You sure?” you asked.
Archie smiled.
“Yeah. Go on.”
You took a deep breath as you began to jog over to where Jughead was.
“Hey!” you called, causing Jughead to look up.
Jughead immediately tensed up as you approached, looking up at you warily.
You smiled at him despite the nerves bubbling in your stomach.
“Jughead, right? I’ve been wanting to talk to you.” you said.
Jughead looked you up and down.
“”Talk to me?” What’s that code for? Calling me “Suicide Squad? Donnie Darko?”” he asked.
You frowned.
“I’m not Reggie,” you said and looked down, feeling defeated. “Or Chuck, or…”
Maybe this wasn’t a good idea after all. He just thought you were another jock.
“I…” you sighed. “You know what, never mind. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to bother you.”
You turned away, beginning to walk back to the field.
“Wait,” Jughead suddenly said, grabbing your arm.
You stopped, turning back towards Jughead.
“I—” he sighed, closing his eyes. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to get snappy,” he opened his eyes again, letting go of your arm.
“What do you want to tell me? Or ask me? Or whatever.” the raven-haired teen said, leaning back on the football stands.
Your smile returned as you looked at him, feeling the hope reigniting in you.
“Well, I, uh, was wondering if you, um, maybe wanted to go on a date sometime?” you asked, looking down.
Jughead’s eyes widened.
“I-I know you like Pop’s. We could grab a burger or something?” you asked, looking up at the beanie-clad boy hopefully.
You saw that the smaller boy was blushing bright red and the nerves came back.
What if he said no? What if he was disgusted? What if—
“Okay.” Jughead mumbled softly.
“What?” you asked, not sure if you heard him correctly.
Jughead looked up at you with a small smile on his face.
“Okay.” he said again, louder this time.
You beamed.
“Awesome,” you said. “I can pick you up like an hour after the game? I gotta take a shower unless you want to go on a date with a sweaty jock.”
“Oh, yeah, that’d be great.” Jughead joked, the smile never leaving his face.
You chuckled.
“Okay, well, I guess I’ll see you later.” you said, walking back to your team.
Jughead nodded.
“See you.”
You turned around, unable to stop smiling as you walked back to the rest of the jocks. You took another deep breath and put your helmet back on as they began to talk about the upcoming plays.
You had to win now. For Jughead.
