Hormones are raging so I've been thinking about introducing sex toys to the ikesen boys.... (we'll say they go to the future for a lil vacation/extended period, idk)
[GN reader, nsfw, obvious discussion of various sex toys. Im fairly vanilla sorry. Suitors: Mitsunari, Mitsuhide, Yoshimoto, Kenshin, Shingen]
♡ Imagine introducing vibrators/vibrating toys to Mitsunari.. using it on him, he's so sensitive. He's whining and moaning, a total whimpering mess not even a half hour into the session. He's never realized how many places he's sensitive until you touch it with the toy. Despite how lost in pleasure he is, though, don't underestimate him. The very next day, he's using those same toys on you like he's an expert, mapping out all of your weak points as well until you're both collapsing in mutual pleasure. Although, nothing brings him as much joy as delivering that pleasure to you himself, rather than with a toy.
♡ Using toys on Mitsuhide seems dangerous but all depends on how far you go. Of course he's very curious about all the things people have designed, and can guess the function on most at a quick glance. He'll let you play first. He's very susceptible to cock rings and collars. Even though he exudes dom energy, he does love when you take control, and it's a major turn on for you to use toys on him like that, controlling his orgasm and maybe using him to get off. If you give him the chance, though, he can 100% turn the tables on you until you're a puddle.
♡ Shibari already exists at this point in their time period, but Yoshimoto would still go nuts being tied up and if you introduce fleshlights along with it. You think he can't get any more beautiful but somehow he still exceeds expectations, trying to thrust up into the toy but is restrained by the ties. He loves seeing you take control and control his pleasure with the pace you set with the toy. Loves tying you up right back, seeing you squirm against the binding as he attacks all your weak spots when you can't retaliate and all you can do is moan, using his mouth and fingers on you for several sessions before even thinking of penetrating. Also loves seeing the light marks of the rope/ribbon on you after the fact~
♡ No toys for Kenshin. Gets insanely jealous tbh. At first, he wants to play along, he always wants to make you happy. If you show him the different types of dildos, he'll even use one on you. It's such a different experience for him to see you writhe in pleasure but it's not him thrusting into you, and might get a little sadistic with it. Eventually gets a little ticked, will fuck you himself afterwards to show you how much better he is than that pathetic toy. Might be open to trying double penetration on you as a compromise (and might get addicted to it based on your reactions).
♡ Shingen LOVES toys, loves the fluffy handcuffs and pink toys and rainbow toys and everything people have thought to create. He'd happily spend a week trying out every toy possible on you if you were interested. Maybe not a fan of pain toys, like clamps, but most things are good. He discovers flavored lube and is obsessed with it. Also love love loves the couples sex toys, like the app controlled stuff. It turns him on so much to know he can affect you with just the touch of a button, so that you're already ready to fold by the time he gets his hands on you. Might enjoy the use of plugs, perhaps after sex to keep his cum in you... Also like Kenshin, may be interested in trying double penetration with a toy, but is much sweeter about it lol.

Ikemen Sengoku (JP)
Kicho's Main Story Chapter 2 Premium
Mai: "Actually, there's something I've been hiding from you."
Mai: "I don't know if you'll believe me, but can you hear me out?"
Kicho: "Yeah. What is it?"
Mai: "I came from five hundred years in the future."
Kicho: "............"
Kicho looked surprised for a moment after hearing my words but quickly returned to his usual unreadable expression.
Kicho: "Future?"
Mai: "I was on vacation when a wormhole suddenly appeared and sent me back here in the Sengoku period."
Mai: "That was about three months ago. Someone took me in after that."
Kicho: "That's why you said you came from a village in the countryside?"
Mai: "Yes. But with no way to get home, I couldn't just let them take care of me all the time, so I looked for a place to work and found out about this place."
Kicho: "It makes sense. But I don't trust you."
Kicho: "What you’re saying is nothing but just a bunch of nonsense."
Kicho: "If you really are from the future, show me some evidence to convince me."
(I have a handkerchief as proof, but it would just look like any other hand towel.)
(Damn it, I should've brought my bag.)
(I have my camera and pen case in there.)
Mai: "Oh."
------------Flashback------------
Mai: "If only there was a brush that never ran out of ink, it would be useful in this situation."
Kicho: "You're right. If I had a ballpoint pen right now, I'd lend it to you."
---------Flashback Ends---------
(I thought I was imagining it, but maybe一)
Kicho: "What's wrong? Got nothing?"
Mai: "Yeah. I wish I had something from the future to give you, but I almost brought nothing."
Mai: "Though, I know about it too. The ballpoint pen."
Kicho: "That's一"
Mai: "You mentioned it before. That thing allows you to write without having to put anything on it and doesn't exist at this period."
Mai: "You know about the future, don’t you?"
(He used to be in the Oda army, and Mitsuhide had known him since he was a kid, so he's not originally from the future.)
Mai: "I got curious, so I snuck into this room to see if I could find any clues about you."
Mai: "I'm really sorry for doing that."
I bowed my head, my heart pounding as I waited for his response.
Kicho: "To answer your question, yes, I know the future."
Mai: "I knew it!"
I looked up and saw him giving me a pitiful look.
(Huh? That's not the reaction I was expecting.)
Kicho: "I see. You were born and raised in that miserable world."
Mai: "M-Miserable?"
Kicho: "I'm not from the future, but I traveled through a wormhole once."
Mai: "But you came back."
Kicho: "Yes. For a purpose."
Kicho lazily crossed his legs and sighed deeply.
Kicho: "I will use any means to achieve my goal."
Mai: "So, weapons?"
Kicho: "Yes. You know that Japan in the future is free of conflict."
Kicho: "Creating that hellish world is not the way to save everyone. That's why I'm going to continue this turbulent world."
Mai: "But..."
(How did he come to that conclusion after seeing a future without war?)
(From what I've seen, he really values life, yet his purpose contradicts it.)
Every time I talk to this inconsistent man, I feel like I'm wandering through a deep, foggy forest.
(This guy is an enemy of the Oda army and mine.)
(But I'd like to know a little bit more.)
Not only about the number of guns and his schemes but also about himself.
If I could do that, maybe I could put the missing pieces together.
Mai: "Um, can I still stay here?"
Kicho: "Well, you have nowhere else to go."
Mai: "Yes."
Kicho: "Then you can stay. But believing that you're from the future is different from trusting you."
Kicho: "I only have one condition."
Kicho cut off his words there, stood up, and walked to his desk.
He then took something out of the top drawer and showed it to me.
(Key?)
Kicho: "To keep an eye on you, starting tomorrow, you'll be working with me."
Kicho: "In other words, you will be my secretary."
Kicho: "That's the condition of staying here."
Mai: "What?"
Kicho: "Unsatisfied? Then you have no choice but to leave."
Kicho: "I'm determined to eliminate anyone who stands in my way or may stand in my way."
(I guess there's nothing I can do. I'm already lucky that he let me off the hook after he found out that I snuck in here.)
(I'll just try to be as normal as possible if he's going to monitor me.)
Mai: "Okay. I'll be happy to help!"
Kicho: "Then this conversation is over."
After confirming that I agreed, he opened the bottom drawer, took out a wooden box, and approached me.
Mai: "What's that?"
Kicho: "Some things I’ll use to patch you up."
Kicho: "Put your hand over here. You burn your fingers earlier with the tea."
(I completely forgot about it.)
I held out my hand as I was told, and his long, slender fingers took it, surprising me with his gentle touch.
Kicho: "It's a little reddish. I'll put some ointment on it just in case."
Mai: "I’m fine. It's not that painful, and it'll heal eventually."
Kicho: "I'm going to apply it now."
Kicho took my hand and applied a bit of it to the affected area.
Even though I knew he was only treating me, I couldn't help but blush as he gently stroked my hand.
(This is kind of embarrassing.)
Kicho: "That should do it. The redness should go away in a few days."
Mai: "T-Thank you, that helped."
Kicho: "If you get hurt again, let me know."
Kicho: "Don't be insensitive to pain. That's the same as neglecting yourself."
(Kicho...)
His tone of voice was as gentle as his hands, and I nodded my head, a little surprised.

Hi. So.
I am still alive. And I want to apologize for the massive inactivity. Things have been on the rougher side lately, and I simply don't have enough energy lately for anything. Along with some depressive episodes, my will to exists anywhere in particular has been massively low. But I do plan on returning. I just need to acclimate to the situations I'm currently in.
I know I owe people a lot. And I am really sorry. But I'll make it up to all of you in the next few months if you'll still have me around.
Anyway, thank you so much for your patience.
Kiomi, Mitsuhide, and the rest of the assholes on this blog loves you all.

Worth His Weight in Rice
A/N: This is an Edo Period AU, but set in the universe of Ooku: The Inner Chambers. In the early years of the Tokugawa Shogunate, a disease called the red-face pox ravaged Japan. It struck only boys, primarily in their early teen years, and left the male population devastated. By the time of this story, the male population has stabilized at about 1/5 of the female and men have been largely shut out of the trades and government. The conception of enough children to maintain a sufficient workforce is a constant national concern.
Many of the most capable and attractive men end up in the shogun’s inner chambers, a self-contained world in Edo Castle where they serve as the shogun’s secret army, her advisers, and her bedmates. The families left behind receive a handsome stipend, but the men are never seen again.
In accordance with this, many canon characters don't exist, while others are genderflipped.
The knife spins free of Obi’s hand, tumbling the distance to the ground, and it digs in with a muted hiss. He wobbles, frustrated, and the back of his leg stings with the snap of his aunt’s switch. “Pick it up and do it again,” she drawls, the cloud of her pipe smoke drifting above her head in the still afternoon. Cicadas drone in the distance.
Getting down from the post is a moment’s jump, a gentle landing in the sand. He may be only a few weeks recovered from the pox, not nearly back to full health, but he still should be able to handle something more than just landing without falling on his face. The knife is awkward in his hand as he wipes it clean, teasing the sand grains out of the grip. He’s outgrown these knives, so suddenly, but not yet earned the right to his next set. His cousins, taller and more capable, sneer that boys just aren’t suited to combat, he should stick to his poetry and calligraphy, but he’s too stubborn to listen. Failures like today make it harder.
One step over another he re-ascends to his post, silently balancing on the toes of one foot. He is a tree branch, a gargoyle, invisible there with his knives held hidden against his wrists. At the order, he would drop like a predator, dealing instant and silent death. His aunt waits until she’s satisfied with Obi’s stillness.
“Three dragonflies,” his aunt offers. He should be able to identify the crests of all the major families at a glance; knowing the symbols could be the difference between rescue by an ally and dying on the tip of an enemy’s spear.
“Niu, of-” He pauses to remember, and the switch stings across his leg again. He tumbles, landing unhurt but humiliated at his aunt's feet.
He makes to spring up to his feet, climb again and get back to work, but she motions with her pipe for him to sit. “I'm sorry, esteemed aunt,” he grovels. He doesn't want to be punished anymore, he just wants to get this right.
“Obi, what are you?”
“A disappointment.” He bends forward into a deep supplication, hoping somehow to avoid his fate.
“Wrong,” she snaps, and he looks up in surprise. “You are a treasure, the only son of our house. Your worth is infinite. Do not ever let anyone value you less than that. Even you.” Her eyes crinkle and she takes another drag on her pipe. “Now get back up there and show me what you can do, and have some pride this time.”
The line of women waiting for their turn at the shrine stretches down the hill, almost all the way to the torii gate. Obi’s borrowed horse dances beneath him, and he settles himself in the saddle to calm her. It’s been a long time since he’s had an opportunity to ride. He’s really not sure why he’s here now. “Is there a holiday I’ve missed?” he asks instead.
“No,” Zen answers. The daimyo’s second son shades his face from the sun, watching the crowd. “It’s been more or less like this since I was born, Lady Haruka tells me.” Obi stiffens at the mention, but it seems he really has forgiven them both. He’s an odd man. Obi hasn’t really figured him out yet.
Not that it’ll stop him from teasing. “So the gods should thank you for inspiring this popularity, is that what you’re saying?”
Zen blushes, shoulders rising with the force of his embarrassment. “No, it’s just that they say the Clarines domain is blessed, and they hope to take part in the good fortune. For anyone to have two sons is unusual enough, and when it’s someone as important as the daimyo herself-” He doesn’t have to finish, Obi gets the picture. Two sons born is a good thing, two surviving to adulthood is a sign of the gods’ involvement indeed. A blessing that cuts both ways, though. Surely the Shogun, always sensitive to the balance of power between the daimyo, has her eye fixed closely on the Wisteria family.
It’s a promising place for Obi to have washed up, though. Women praying for children are generally desperate enough to overlook a ronin’s status and pay handsomely for his assistance, so long as he can offer a chance to conceive. The long line takes on a new light of opportunity.
“I’ll likely be sent to Edo in the spring, when Mother returns,” Zen adds, yanking Obi’s attention back to the present. “I’d like you to stay, keep Shirayuki safe for me.”
“You’re hiring me as a bodyguard?” Working for Wisteria would be a nice step up from thug-for-hire. Might even pay enough to get his great-grandfather’s longsword back, reunite it with its partner tucked unaccompanied in his obi.
“I actually meant as a retainer.” He watches Obi’s face closely as Obi tries to keep his restraint intact. A permanent position, a home, a place to belong he hasn’t had since his family- Zen’s face is shrewd, and Obi realizes he’s underestimated him. This man isn’t soft, and his forgiveness is far from a weakness. He found a crack in Obi’s armor, the hope he’s been clinging to since his home burned and his family died, and now the knife is buried too deep to claw it out.
There’s really no choice but to accept. But he can’t make it look too easy. “Talk to me about my salary,” he purrs, and Zen smiles triumphantly.
The idea is Kiki’s, delivered in her usual manner. No flowery words, no particular attempt at tact, just “How about we sell Obi?”
Every head turns to look, not least of all Obi’s. “Pardon?”
“If they were to take him onto the ship, he could guard them from there,” Mukaze muses, finger running idly along the worn hilt of his sword. He sounds like he’s coming around to the idea.
It certainly wouldn’t be Obi’s first choice. He looks out over the city, wood-tiled roofs sloping down to the harbor where seagulls wheel and cry. In the distance, the ship rides at anchor, a single sailor in the rigging silhouetted against the glare of the ocean. Shirayuki’s on that ship. Four Lions of the Mountain, two Wisteria retainers, and one irritating ronin can’t match even a fraction of the pirates’ army.
The silence goes on too long, and when he gives up on Kiki and looks to the others, they’re all watching him. The women are smiling. “He could be pretty enough, I suppose,” one of the Lions offers. Toya wrinkles her nose in what could only generously be called begrudging agreement.
She’s still sore because he ran her down in the forest and beat her in a fight, so her opinion doesn’t matter. Plenty of women like him just the way he is, scars and all. The other Lions, save Mukaze, are all ogling him openly, which is fine, but Miho is joining in, and she can wipe that look off her face right now. She’s proved herself useful, for a sneak and a traitor, but he doesn’t have to like it. His preferences are not what’s important here. Getting to Shirayuki is.
If Master were here he’d think this was a terrible plan, but nobody’s offering anything better. “Fine,” he says, pulling his sword, his knives free of his obi and holding them out for Kiki. They click against each other in her hand and he swallows. She hesitates, and there’s nothing he’d like better than to grab them back, but instead he sheds his haori coat and adds it to the pile. It’s his fault she’s in there. This is the only way to get her free.
The blindfold is an inconvenience, but there’s plenty to hear as two Lions escort him through the town. Most of it is the same as anywhere, the hiss of sandals on shell, the cries of children at play, the ring of the forge. But in between are snatches that remind Obi it’s a pirate stronghold.
“The foreigners will pay well for the girl, I bet they’ve never seen hair like that,” he hears. “I hear they caught Kazuki. Think Umihebi can keep from killing him?” And then naturally there’s the murmurs that follow him, a captive man being paraded through the street. He’s no stranger to being of interest, but without his weapons he’s jumpy. He almost wishes someone would start something, something he could finish. He’s meant for fighting, not waiting.
At last feet thud on the wood of the dock, and one of his captors has a low conversation with someone waiting there. A strange voice calls out, echoes rattling off the wall of the ship and drowning out the waves underfoot, and after a minute another responds from above.
“What makes this one so special, that I should spend my hard-earned money on him?” A knowing smirk drips from every syllable, deep, slow, the voice of a woman secure in her absolute power.
“Turn,” his captor whispers, spinning him like a fish over a fire. It’s all he can do to keep his feet in his sandals. “He follows directions well, he’s healthy, and really-” she stops his turn with a jerk, and he jumps as a hand cups him, smoothing the layers of clothing over his buttock. He sighs, and her hands dart over him, moving him like a doll to show off his arms, his chest.
“You're enjoying this,” he growls. He may have earned it, in all fairness, but still. She leaves the front of his kosode dangling open, the sea breeze chilly against his skin.
“Maybe,” she whispers, then raises her voice again. “Boss’ husband got jealous, and we need him gone right away. A bit rough around the edges, but he’s a good worker.” Her lascivious tone makes exactly clear what work she means.
“Hmm.” Umihebi, because nobody else could belong to that voice, takes her time. “Are we dumpling-sellers, to shout our prices in the market? Come up, and we shall speak further of his value.”
It wouldn’t do to look too relieved. He should be shy, he should be frightened, but both of those are beyond him now. They’ll have to settle for docile, and even that takes all of his self-control to achieve.
The pirates, when they come for him, are less gentle than the Lions. Up and down ramps and stairs he’s pulled, and by the time the echoes of footsteps imply they’re in the hold, he's been groped more times than he can count. He likes women as much as the next man, but it's not the same when he can't see, can't move his arms. The sound of a door comes as a relief. “Behave with the redhead, love. We’ll be back for you soon.”
No they won't. Kiki and the others will see to that. If they fail, well, he has hands and teeth and years of fighting behind him. They won't get to the mistress while he lives.
There's a rustle of whispers. He's not alone. He yanks his hands from their bonds, tears off his blindfold, and she's there. Kazuki spreads himself in front of her, possessive even now, but Obi barely sees him.
“Obi!” She cries with relief and scrambles past Kazuki. Her knees, under the torn hem, are scraped. “You're all right. Are you all right?” Her hand closes on his collar, pulling it back to get a better look at where Toya hit him, and he flinches. She jumps back, and shame coats the other emotions already warring in his stomach.
“Are you?” Shirayuki’s priceless furisode is torn in several places, a strip of the hand-dyed silk binding up her dangling sleeves. Blood weeps from a scratch on her cheek, and he wants to rage back upstairs and tear pirates apart. Even more when she smiles at him, here, in a situation she'd never have been in if he'd done his job. His hands clench against the floor, still stinging where the ropes had rubbed. None of it matters. He forces his face into something approaching calm, so as not to upset her.
Maybe it doesn’t work, because she pulls back, hand hovering in the air. She’s not answering his question any more than he’s answering hers, but her fingers are shaking. “What are you doing here? How did you find us?”
As much as he hates to admit it, he's not going to lie to her. “Got some help. Kiki and the Lions have a plan, I'm just here to guard you and tell you that. Just wait, and you'll be on your way home again.”
The timbers of the ship thrum with the passage of water in the silence that follows, but at least now he has a chance to make things right before he answers for his failure with his sword. Accepting Master’s forgiveness yet again will be more than he can bear.
A month is a long time to be separated from his master and his charge, but when Lord Izana declares Obi’s the man for the job, nobody argues. It’s not long enough to make him comfortable in his old role again, but he must fake it well enough; the rebels accept him as a disaffected ronin, offering an entirely insufficient bribe but never even questioning his sincerity. Even when the Wisteria army bursts through their door, Haruka bellowing orders in the courtyard and Zakura’s sword flashing like lightning, they turn their backs on Obi. He slits three throats before they notice him.
Zen’s palanquin is waiting at Wistal Castle’s gate when the army returns, the cart packed with all his belongings standing by. Obi’s been on a high all the way back, elated at his first battle as an honest man, but he feels small and dirty facing Zen in the audience room. It doesn’t seem possible that this is the last time he’ll see his master, but Zen’s entrance into the shogun’s harem can be delayed no longer. His mother gave him all the time with Shirayuki she could.
“Get up, get up,” Zen motions him up from the floor. “The rebels are dealt with?”
“Most are dead, either in battle or by their own hands. Three surrendered, and Zakura’s making arrangements for them to follow you to Edo. There’ll be no question of your brother’s loyalty once they’ve given their testimony.”
Zen breathes out in relief, silk wrinkling as he sags in place, and Obi smiles. He’s fortunate he got to deliver the good news. “I brought you a present, too, spoils from the rebel hideout.”
Zen cocks an eyebrow. He should know better than to trust Obi by now, but Obi just can’t resist. The packet tucked in his sleeve is slightly smeared with blood, regrettably, and Zen handles it with caution. Obi doesn’t think it’s his blood, but he’s not about to look away and miss this.
Zen doesn’t disappoint, blushing near crimson at the first picture. “What!” He squawks, and Obi struggles to keep from breaking out in giggles. He’s in no shape to fend off Kiki should Zen order him thrashed.
“I’ll have you know Aneko is a very accomplished ukiyo-e artist, and her work is in great demand! You wouldn’t even be able to acquire these in Edo. Give them back, if you don’t appreciate them.”
Zen throws the open packet in his face, the top print sliding halfway out of the pile by the time it’s settled in Obi’s hands. Apparently the one with the geisha and the birds was all it took to make his master blush. “You know I can’t take this to the shogun!”
Obi sighs, straightening the pictures with a finger before tucking the pile back in his sleeve. “Fine. Her loss.” The silence stretches, somehow comfortable even now. He’s going to miss his master, and he doesn’t know how to tell him that.
Zen smiles, and maybe he already knows. “Try not to antagonize my brother too much,” he says. “He doesn’t think you’re funny.”
“He just-” Obi starts, but Zen interrupts him to finish.
“And keep Shirayuki safe. I’ll miss you both, and I don’t want her to be alone.”
Obi’s never seen a place less lonely than Garrack’s offices, but he keeps that thought to himself. It’s only natural to want to be remembered, to be missed. “I promise. She will come to no harm under my watch.”
Zen nods, but there’s something unsatisfied in his face. He never gets a chance to explain, though. A steward slides open the door to inform Zen that his brother is waiting, and they stand. Obi drops into the most heartfelt bow of his life with all the respect that he doesn’t have words for. Zen matches him, lingering for another breath, then turns to go. At the threshold he tosses back the last word. “I left you a present in your rooms. Something better than dirty pictures, I promise. Remember me when you use it.”
Obi doesn’t even clean up before going to see Shirayuki. She’s grinding some kind of green leaves into paste, counting under her breath, and he knows better than to interrupt. It’s enough to be near her, like drinking water after going thirsty for a month. And just after seeing his master for the last time, he needs the comfort. He can wait as long as she needs.
Her attention shifts so quickly she catches him unprepared. One second she’s engrossed in medicine, and the next her instantaneous smile at the sight of him is already shading into horror at his state. Maybe he should have taken the time to clean up, after all.
She’s on him instantly with no respect for personal space. He’s a patient now, so she sticks her fingers into rents in his clothing and pulls back his sleeves. “Where are you hurt?” she asks, almost as an afterthought.
“Nothing major,” he protests, but even so he shrugs his kosode off his shoulders, leaving it to hang at his waist. A stinging scratch across his lower ribs and a few nicks on his forearms have all long since scabbed over, nothing he couldn’t take care of himself, but he’s known Shirayuki long enough now to know she’d never trust him to do it. She’d have hunted him down in his own rooms if he hadn’t gotten here first.
They’re comfortably silent together as she scrubs the wounds clean, checking for any minute bits of dirt or cloth. “Did you get to see him?” she asks at last, eyes fixed to his bicep as she works.
“I did.” As bereft as he’s feeling, she must be even worse. She’d always known things would end this way but she loved Zen anyway. Obi has always admired her bravery, holding out her heart unguarded like that. “He didn’t like my going-away present. No gratitude.”
She frowns the way she always does when he makes fun of Zen. She’s never been comfortable with his over-familiarity with Zen, and it’s probably half the reason he does it so much, to get her attention. Did it. It’s going to take a while to think of Zen in the past tense, and he’s going to need to find some new ways to get Shirayuki to frown at him.
Because when Obi teases her into smiling, she gives as good as she gets, and that makes him forget. He forgets she loves another man when she laughs in his face, when she narrows her eyes at him and skewers him with a clever phrase.
She's glaring at his chest now as though it's told her something she really doesn't like. “You weren't wearing armor.”
Oh. She just now realized it. “I was a spy. If I stopped the dice game to put armor on, they'd have figured out something was-”
“You could have been killed!”
“It's just scratches, miss, you've seen them yourself. Nothing important.”
She huffs, yanking the last bandage a bit too tight. “Of course it's important! You're important!” She turns on her heel and stalks out of the room, leaving Obi speechless in the middle of the floor. He has nothing to do but pull his clothes back on.
He’s adjusting the fall of his sleeves, stalling, when there’s a step at the door. He looks up, hopeful she’s returned to explain, but it’s just Ryuu. He notes Obi’s presence but says nothing, just turns and adds a notation to a diagram on the wall. It’s ironic that one of the foremost experts on the red-face pox, the one with this generation’s best chance of defeating it, is not yet out of its danger. But Obi’s relieved to see that another month has gone by and Ryuu’s face is unmarked by anything more than the usual teenage complaints. He lets himself out to keep from interrupting.
It’s sunset by the time he slides back the screen to his own rooms, and in the last orange light of the day he remembers Zen’s present. It’s folded with an unearthly precision, a mysterious pile of cloth, and a symbol he hasn't seen in years winks at him from the top. He kneels, tracing the embroidery with a finger. He didn’t know Zen-dono even knew his family’s crest. It isn't exactly the same, he realizes, leaning closer. A sprig of wisteria arcs over the familiar pattern.
“Someday you'll have a problem that can't be solved by buying and selling me,” Obi laughs, his sleeves flapping in the wind. Shirayuki clings to his back, pressing his sword into his spine. Her feet slap against the horse’s side, but she’s stable enough he doesn’t have to slow down to keep her steady. It’s not the first time they’ve made a fast exit like this.
“You’ve been sold twice in the whole time I’ve known you. That’s not exactly a constant occurrence,” she argues. “And there were rescue plans all worked out both times.”
“You buying me back is not a good plan, miss. What if they’d wanted children more than they wanted money?” It’s more common than maybe she knows. Kept him from starving more than once, too, back before Zen took him in.
“Then I’d sneak in and steal you.” That he would pay money to see. His mistress is many things, but stealthy is not one of them.
“Couldn’t I just steal myself? Sneak back to you?” He slows the horse to a walk. There’s no sign of pursuit, and it’s a long way to the next town. Her fingers unwind from his haori to fix her hair, and she leans into him to brace herself. He glances over his shoulder, and she’s settling her comb. It warms him to see it, to know that she’d put on her best to try to get him back, and also to know that her best ornament was something he himself had given her.
He needs to change the subject. “So how much did I cost you this time?”
“Me, nothing. Lord Izana? Better you don’t ask.”
He throws his head back and laughs. How easily she spends their lord’s money. “I’m not sure he’ll be happy with the value you got for it. Such a poor steward, miss.”
She’s not laughing. “They really wanted to keep you. I overheard two of the women excited about all the strong children you’d bring them.”
He knows what he’d usually answer to that. When Kiki or Zakura questions his manhood while trying to dent his skull in the practice hall, it’s nothing to toss back a proposition, the more elaborate the better. He’s never meant a single one, but she’s caught him at it enough times to know this is how he reacts.
But this is his mistress, so while he’s got to say something, he tries to keep it clean. “Well, naturally. Who wouldn’t be? Can’t you just picture all the strapping little boys and lovely girls with these eyes?” It’s a weak excuse for humor, and the silence tells him it’s not working.
“Anytime you decide you want one, just say the word.” He's never known how not to take a joke too far.
Her response is a fist clenching in his clothing, and he doesn’t know what to do. Part of him wants to keep joking, keep everything light so she doesn't realize this is something he actually hopes for, but the rest wants her to have the whole truth. It's not easy to tell which side is winning.
When she speaks at last, he can barely even hear her over the hoofbeats. “Obi, have you ever thought of me?”
Only about every minute since he took Haruka’s money to bar her from the castle, since the first time she said his name, since the first time she turned that unbreakable focus on the pulse in his wrist. He was never, never not thinking of her. “What do you mean?”
Her hands twist in his clothes again, and this time her forehead presses against the back of his shoulder. “It’s not important, never mind.” She lifts her head again, her voice clearer when she’s not talking to his back. ”I don’t know whether I should be sorry I risked losing you or sorry I took you away.”
“Neither, miss. I’m right where I should be.” She’s still silent, so he assumes his comfort has flown wide of the mark. He still doesn’t know what she’s getting at, what she wants to hear from him, but his heart is beating fast with the excitement of escape and it makes him reckless. “How many times have I told you now I’m staying right by your side?”
This time he risks a look back to see what she’s thinking. Her eyes are so green, so innocent, and he feels naked before her. He doesn’t know how much longer he can balance on the brink of the truth, telling her the shape of his desires in such a way she’ll never believe him. Maybe he doesn’t want to hide it anymore.
He’s trying to figure out how to start when she finally speaks again, barely a whisper against his shoulder. “What if I didn’t want children now?”
If that’s how she’s going to turn him down, it’s one of the oddest rejections he’s ever heard, but at least she got here before he really bared his feelings. He forces a smile, eyes forward, so there’s no way she’ll hear disappointment in his voice. He’s trying so hard he almost misses her words. “Would you- Would you still-”
Every nerve stands on end, and the jolts of the horse’s hooves are too much to bear. He misses her warmth as he slides down from the saddle, but the look in her eyes as he turns back to her tells him this is the right decision. Her hair’s windblown again already, her comb ever so slightly off center, and she clasps her hands in her lap. Her knuckles are white until he nudges her fingers with his own, then her hands fly apart. He can’t tell whether she’s reaching for him or away.
“The answer is yes.” Her eyes track every move he makes, not that he can do more than breathe until she answers. “Whatever you’re asking, it’s yes.” It’s not the time for hiding anymore.
The horse shifts, driving her hand into his, and she grabs it tight. “You’ll stay with me.” It’s not quite a question. It’s the truth.
“Always.” The wedding outfit Zen left him is folded in his room, piled safely under every other piece of clothing he owns. He’d scoffed, at first, but now- It feels like hope. He doesn’t know what he can offer her, what she wants, but if there’s any chance he could make her happy?
He wants nothing more.
The look on her face is giving him far too many ideas, and he’s going to do something ill-advised if he can’t get her smiling soon. “We could start now,” he offers. “Looks like a nice spot right here.” He manages to keep his tone level, but his mouth goes dry at the thought of spreading his robe on the forest floor and unwrapping her there between the blowing grass and the shifting shade.
“You’re shameless.” That isn’t a yes, but it isn’t a no either, and her lips curl in a way that makes him smile in return, makes the desire easier to bear. “As tempting as that sounds, I don’t think now is the best idea.” That really, really wasn’t a no. That almost sounded like-
He laughs. He wants her so much, but she doesn't need to know how he's dying at the very thought. “Just say the word.”
The silence lasts just long enough for him to decide he’s gone too far, he's misunderstood everything-
“I will,” she says.
There’s nothing more to say to that, nothing he can add until they get back to Wisteria and his hands are free. He’ll gift himself to her forever, and her regard, her respect, her heart are more than he ever dreamed he could be worth. He gives himself away for free, and never has he felt so valued before.

Would I Punch This Character?: Ikesen Edition
Nobunaga:
Yes. 100% I would punch him. Right in the face. With a metal baseball bat :)
Masamune:
I mean, sure. Might as well take out the other eye, right?
Keiji:
Isn't he built like a fucking brick? Eh, who cares. Punching him in his dumb face sounds fun.
Hideyoshi:
I'd probably get a very stern lecture on why I shouldn't punch people if I did. But then again, Hideyoshi can't say shit with the amount of times he'd threatened Mitsuhide. But no, I would not hit Hideyoshi. Unless he deserves it.
Ieyasu:
Bruh he'd just roast me on how weak my punches are, there's no point.
Mitsuhide:
...this is a difficult one. On one hand, I love Mitsuhide and would never want to hurt him. On the other, his dumb teasing smirk pisses me off. He'd also probably tease me after hitting him.
Mitsunari:
What kind of monster do you think I am??? I know I threatened to hit Nobunaga with a metal baseball bat but I wouldn't dream of hurting Mitsunari :(
Ranmaru:
Same as before, what kind of monster do you take me for? I would never hurt Ranmaru either.
Yoshimoto:
You know what? Yeah. Playing Mitsuhide's route twice made me absolutely sick of him. He gets the Nobunaga treatment.
Sasuke:
Sasuke hasn't pissed me off yet, so his fate is undecided.
Kanetsugu:
He's too pretty, I can't bring myself to do it.
Yukimura:
Oh definitely. Especially for that boar woman comment. And I know he won't do shit cause Shingen raised a pussy. I am so sorry, Yuki. I didnt mean it. I love you-
Kenshin:
The question is not, "Would I punch Kenshin?" The question is, "Do I want to die?" And the answer is NO.
Shingen:
Tempted purely because I forget he exists and he makes me uncomfortable. But I'm 90% sure he's already dying and my morals say I can't hit dying or disabled people :/ I also don't want whatever germs he has.
Kicho:
Similar situation to Kenshin. Do I want to die? No. Also, he's too pretty. I'd probably forget to punch him.
Kennyo:
No. I'd rather not touch him.
Motonari:
100% yes. I fuckin' hate this psycho ass. He gets also gets the Nobunaga treatment.
Mai:
Yeah, 100%. I don't care that she's the MC, Mai's kinda annoying with how stereotypical she is.

Ikemen Sengoku comforting a MC that is feeling sick
Platonic! MC x suitor
1. Nobunaga Oda :
He calls you to his tenshu and lets you rest near his huge balcony while seeing the stars. Asks you if you're feeling okay or not from time to time. Feeds you konpeito as a reward. Huffs when you don't like them. Whistles in the air for Haguro and demands that he entertain you.
2. Hideyoshi Toyotomi :
Prohibits you from doing any work at all. You have to lay down and rest. Don't worry, your older brother will arrive with a tub of water and a clean cloth to put on your forehead. Cleans up your room as he rambles about Mitsuhide's deeds. Notices you sleeping an hour later.
3. Masamune Date :
Brings his tiger to snuggle with you and to provide you comfort. Makes your favourite dishes and soup. Feeds you soup even though your nose is blocked and you can't taste it very well. Sad boy when you tell him that you're full and can't eat anymore.
(Will you eat sexy eyepatch daddy's cooking? Cause I sure will)
4. Mitsuhide Akechi :
Stops teasing you for once and actually gets serious. Wraps you up in a 100 layers and tells you to sleep like the darling mouse you are. Spies on you to make sure you eat. Threatens to use "unfair means" to tease you to submission if you don't listen to him. Smirks when you make a pouty face.
5. Ieyasu Tokugawa :
Actually knows what to do in this scenario. Gives you the appropriate food and medicine. Let's you braid his hair after you plead with him a million times. You heal quickly thanks to Ieyasu's vast knowledge of medicine. Blushes when you thank him for taking care of you.
6. Mitsunari Ishida :
Clueless boy tries his best. Reads you stories with his soothing voice. Calls Ieyasu for help and gets scolded by Ieyasu. Smiles at you goofily when you tell him to answer Ieyasu back with the same demeanor. Forgets you exist when he starts reading his books.
7. Keiji Maeda :
Tells you to go horseback riding with him or climb a tree with him and gets spanked by Hideyoshi. Tries very hard to come up with a good reasoning for you to climb up a tree and fails. Makes you laugh by saying extremely shitty jokes. Later he tries to climb a tree, sees a snake and pisses his pants.
(Sorry Keiji XD)
8. Ranmaru Mori
Brings you peaches and volunteers to massage your shoulders or any area that you feel pain. Gets flustered when you tell him to dance for you. Carries you around if you need to be somewhere and realizes that you still need more rest. Guards you at night even though there are soldiers outside and inside the castle.
9. Kenshin Uesugi :
Tries to "kill" this so called virus which he heard from Sasuke. Goes into big brother mode and chases Shingen away when he comes to flirt with you. Only him, Ume, Take, and Matsu are allowed to visit you. He doesn't want anyone to bother his sister.
10. Shingen Takeda :
Thinks flirting will make you feel well and has clearly never been more wrong in his whole life. Tells the cook to prepare your favourite sweets and hot soup. Wants to feed you but later is withheld by a meeting. Sends you a hairclip as a get well soon gift.
11. Yukimura Sanada :
Tries very hard to not get into a stupid fight with you. Calls you a dummy for falling sick and not taking care of yourself. Is shocked when you start crying and confused when you fall asleep after that. Is very unfamiliar with the concept of "mood swings". Grumbles about it and later gets sick too because he slipped on a banana peel and fell into the castle pond.
(MC set him up lmaoo)
12. Sasuke Sarutobi :
His knowledge of modern medicine was immense, but unfortunately there weren't many tools to work with in the Sengoku period. Tries to cheer up his modern day bff with vines and tiktok dances he learnt. Later they both fangirl about Ieyasu and scream. Sasuke is now prohibited from visiting MC's room because he gave her a sore throat from all that laughing.
13. Kanetsugu Naoe :
Can't care more about some rat being sick. He still helps you though, by telling you he has postponed your punishment. It doesn't help much, but you know Kanetsugu is warming up to you. Fangirls about Kenshin to you and later gets caught by Sasuke. He later is seen chasing the ninja throughout the castle.
14. Yoshimoto Imagawa :
Lets you lay your head on his lap as he plays with your hair. Massages your scalp very gently and makes sure everything you need is available. Offers you freshly cut up fruit and chats with you all day long. Surprised to hear that you too have an exquisite eye for clothes and fashion. Wants to go shopping with you someday.
15. Motonari Mouri :
Tells his men to steer the ship a little slowly and barks at anyone who says that the new girl made him weak. Takes you out on the deck to get your mind off your sickness. Cooks for you and scoffs when you tell him he added too much salt. Surprised to see you sleep walking on the deck late at night and asks what were you doing. He remembers being knocked out by someone and wakes up with a bruised nose the very next day.
(MC sleep-punched Moto)
16. Kicho :
Gives you chocolate which he got from a foreign trader. Happy to see you're all well and smiling now. Offers to give you a bigger room if that is what will make you happy. Clicks his tongue when you tell him that you don't need a bigger room or any fancy treatment. Disgusted when Motonari comes to visit and winks at you saying that it will make you feel better.
17. Kennyo :
Prays for you and for your health. Gives you herbs and advice on how to take care of yourself properly next time. Brews warm tea for you and gives you snacks. Insists you rest up and not care about anything else for the meantime. Will definitely get Ranmaru to dance for you if that is what the situation asked for.

You said you were taking questions about your OC. So I wanted to ask, Who is Kotaro and how does he relate to the world of IkeSen? :)
About the character
Kotaro is a samurai part of the Uesugi-Takeda clan, specifically he is a vassal of Kanetsugu. He would originally be my MC's son with Kenshin, so he is not inspired by any real historical character, but in the end I liked the idea of developing him in the present of the game.
If he had a part in the game, he would be seen with Sasuke or Yukimura, however, he would not show his sweet personality with the heroine, but his more serious and professional side. You could say he doesn't like MC, unless he's in Sasuke, Kenshin, Shingen, or Yukimura's route.
Some data
The story isn't 100% developed and is subject to change. I will not give many details at the moment
He lived with his parents only until he was five years old. He doesn't remember much of them
At the age of eight, a traveling merchant found him and took with him to finish raising him
Received training to be a samurai from the age of 13
He is currently receiving ninja training from Sasuke
He is in charge of waking up and giving reports to Kenshin every morning
The traveler taught him to prepare some desserts. That is all his culinary knowledge
In battle he does not hesitate to kill someone if necessary. Don't let his appearance fool you
Kanetsugu is a bit overprotective towards him, so he doesn't send him on many high-risk missions
He is terrified of bees. Do not expect a romantic date in a field of flowers unless you want to carry him in your arms and shaking
He doesn't get along with Mitsuhide. The feeling is mutual
Although the term does not exist yet, it could be said that he is asexual
Shingen is like a father image to him
This at most similar to what I imagine his voice would be
Coming soon
His route
In the morning I was thinking about what his route would be like and some general ideas came up
I want to clarify that it is something different from what Cybird normally offers us, more than anything because I would like to experiment with the relationship that the characters have, and that it is also subject to change
First chapters
Shingen wants to take the princess of Azuhi hostage and Kotaro offers to bring her
MC meets a certain boy in the city, who defended some children from a drunkard. It doesn't take long for them to become close and then friends
MC starts to see Kotaro as a little brother
Two weeks later, she is led into a trap and kidnapped
Chapeter 5-9
Kotaro realizes that he feels strange when he sees MC smile. It's nice to spend time with her.
He begins to wish that she and the others no longer see him as a little child
MC wonders whether or not she should return home
Kotaro realizes he's in love
MC realizes she's in love
Latest chapters
Kotaro goes to battle with a broken heart
MC ends up seriously injured
Romantic ending: MC returns to the future Dramatic ending: Kotaro returns where it all began
[Scene out of context]
Kotaro: "I just ask you to wait for me and give me a chan-"
His hands were shaking as they held mine
MC: "No"
[...]
MC: "I'm sorry, I'm very sorry, but I don't see you the same way. I just can't love ... someone like you."
There was a silence that seemed eternal. I swear I heard a crack inside his chest.
[...]
In his eyes was not that bright so characteristic of him. Some tears were looking for a way to steal the attention from his face.
Kotaro: "I ...I'm sorry. Um, I think-I think I have to go."
His broken voice broke my heart. Before I could say anything else to him, he turned and walked away as fast as he could. I felt Shingen's hand on my shoulder, as if telling me not to follow him
[...]
(I did the right thing ... right?)
If you have any questions, you are free to ask. I did not upload a drawing because nothing came out T-T

"This game ends here."
If travelling into an unknown place, an era with endless war, a timeline she have to wipe her tears but to survive...
The words that he uttered to her on that day hurts the most.
Everything was a gameplay to him. With that teasing smile, gradually changed into a hateful look, he pointed the gun that he always use to end someone's life to her. "I was just using you all the time. Who would've known you even give all of yourself to me-- to think that you shed enormous drop of tears just from Yoshiaki's words.. Aren't you the fragile one?"
Liar.
"Was it sated enough for you?"
Liar.
"Did I satisfy you?"
Liar.
"You are beaming with happiness just from a kiss? Such lonely girl you are."
"Mmmf--"
Waves and waves of swirling stirred inside of her, causing her to stumble to the side, of where she nearly bumped upon the edge of the wall if it isn't because of the support on the table nearby.
Mitsuhide..
She gasped, tears pricking within her orbs,
Mitsuhide..
Vomiting out everything that she could throw,
Mitsuhide..
Her coughs slowly emerges into a sob, and it grew stronger when she rub her belly.
Why did you lie..?
.......
It was a spur of the moment. It could be. It might be.
From a slow, loving kiss on her brow, her lips found his, where they exchanged their body heat with one another. Kisses, groans, soft moaning, endless marks all over her body, genuine confession towards each other-- it is such a blissful moment and memories for her.
To think that he choose to lie for the sake of her safety--
To think that he would use his weapon to threaten her..
So that she could stand in the light, and him, always in the abyss of darkness and evilness. And furthermore,..
To think that just from that one night, she had bear his child...
Oh she had tried to be with him. But he pushed her away. Many times. He even use another woman to make her believe that he was just using her all along--
...He even announced his marriage to the same woman to get rid of her completely--
And then..
She gasped again, now clenching on her stomach-- "K-Kana--..!"
Her maid bursted into the room, "Princess..? Princess!!"
-----
And then..
The wedding celebration were held joyfully, he even announced to the public of his happiness. He even laughed, smiled, nuzzled on his bride's nose, just to show how much he love her. Right in front of her, in front of her eyes, that clearly were decorated with nothing but a swell.
"I am happy for you, Mitsuhide."
Oh how it killed her.
It's as if she has taken a knife and stab her own chest.
"Well, to be honest.. I am having his child..! He is kind enough to marry me for the sake of our child..!" His bride whispered to her, from a gleeful voice that suddenly changed into a menacing ones,... "Now it's clear to you, isn't it? You are NO princess, so you should learn where do you stand, don't you think so?" Then it was again replaced with a smile the moment her husband called for her.
Ah.. So this is how they played it.
If it is like that, it's fine.
If it's for the sake of her child, then she will do it too.
Yes, she should learn her place. So she will leave everything. From a place where she didn't belong, a place where people wouldn't know, a place where people will forget.
With the help of Sasuke,...
That very same night she had faked her death. She had brought her most trusted maid with her, leaving no trace behind. Changing her appearance together with her maid, she made it as if she had never existed.
She made a promise with Sasuke as well. To keep it a secret, to never see her and to never associate with her. It was beyond his agreement, as she is his friend, but he have no choice.
------
"Princess.. You overexert your body again. It's not good for the child, as it will be born soon."
Smiling weakly, she caresses her growing belly. "I'm sorry.. I can't help but to remember that night. Especially when it was snowing like this."
Kana and MC wheeled their head to the garden, watching how it become white all over from the falling snow. "I don't know, Kana. It was not even snowing when he said those words, but maybe, just maybe, that night has become cold when he choose to lie."
"...Princess..."
"My apologies. I'm being very melancholy am I?"
Kana shakes her head. "Please don't say that, Princess. Here, have some water before you rest, alright?"
She nodded, leaning against the reclining chair before turning to see the white garden once more.
..To think that snow could make you feel this lonely. But she is not alone, she will be with her child. Even if her existence has faded to other people.
--------
There is no other day that he feels empty.
Staring into nothing in an ample silence, the feeling of the metal in his hand has been forgotten.
Such metal; the hairclip he had given her, is still smeared with blood, the blood of hers on the night she had gone from his life forever.
Lying is never enough for Mitsuhide. But it was more than enough for her. He lied for her own good. He hurt her for her happiness. He cast her aside for her safety. He trampled her feelings and love for him, for her best.
Even though everything had went well-- ending Yoshiaki's life, and gained another peace for his Lord, he is not satisfied. Faking a marriage, faking a love just to make her believe he didn't need her anymore-- it is the biggest sacrifice and self torture for him. More than the torture that he get in the cell when he was accused as the traitor back then..!
Her death is the ultimate torture of his life..!
Why did this happen? How could this happen?
What have he done to her??
"...Kh--"
And again,
There's no other day that he feel empty. There's no other days he will shed his tears while holding the hairclip close to his heart. He have seen it. He have seen her jumped off the cliff, right in front of his eyes. He had been searching, high and low, every places, to no avail. He had refused to believe, he nearly went crazy just from this..!
Is this..
A punishment for him? Yes. Indeed it is. For trampling her genuine and sincere love for someone like him..
"My lord."
He didn't answer his vassal. It was until Kyubei hand him a letter that makes his heart thump so loud in his chest.
-----
"Princess..! Princess..!! Please..! Please stay awake..! Your child needs you..! Please..!!"
"Give it your best, My lady..! Push with all your might..!!"
She couldn't feel her grip around the cloth in her palms anymore. She had tried all she could, but she sees nothing but whiteness. Her eyes narrowed-- she is in verge of fainting once more. "No..! You can't faint!! My lady!!"
'Ahh.. Mitsuhide.. Where are you.. Will you be here..? Will you come to my rescue just like you use to do..?'
Her hold around the cloth loosened, and the voices next to her couldn't be heard anymore, when..
"MC!!!"
The door burst open, revealing a pale looking Mitsuhide. Pale and thin, weaker than ever.
She must have been dreaming. For Mitsuhide to come and to found her like this, just like how she secretly wished. "MC..! Please..! Don't leave me..! Don't leave us..!" He squeezed her hand tight, patting her face lightly for her to stay awake. "I am here..! I will be here..! So please..!"
His facade broke. Tears after tears streaming on his face, wetting the surface of her cheek. "I love you.. Please. I'm begging you.." He grit his teeth to fight the upcoming tears, kissing her brow and temple over and over.
"Mmf--"
Her grip has tightened once again, eyes shut to give her all, especially for her unborn child.
Hours has passed, and by nightime..
A beautiful, melodic sound had filled the house.
-----
"....."
Mitsuhide has been staring at his daughter for quite some time. She is now nestled in his arms, sleeping peacefully as her father rub her cheeks gently.
He had stayed awake the whole time, even until MC had woke up. Both of them didn't say anything, only exchanging a silent look to one another.
Then after a while..
He rose and settled next to her.
There's no words were uttered, but he pulls her close with his other arm, burying his head in the crook of her neck where a silent cry could be heard, and an endless strings of apologies were said.
Throughout the time when she lived in seclusion, her maid has been exchanging letters with his vassal secretly. Both of them updated each other's situation, and when it is the perfect time for their masters to meet again, that is where the letter were given to Mitsuhide.
He had brought her back, to everyone's surprise. Things had been cleared between them; a happy ending for both of them. No lies, no facades, just the truth.
And....
*Extra*
"THIS, is WHY, I've TOLD you, to NOT do EVERYTHING, ON YOUR OWN! JUST LOOK WHAT HAD HAPPENED?? JUST LOOK!! THE MOTHER OF YOUR CHILD HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THAT HELL THANKS TO YOU!! AND JUST LOOK AT YOU?? YOU ARE LIKE THOSE BEGGAR ON THE STREETS!!"
"My, my, how rude ( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^)."
"OH HELL YES, I AM. SEE? SHE EVEN HAVE TO FAKE HER WHEREABOUTS BECAUSE SHE'S HURT!! AND--"
"....Mmmnnnn..."
"Oooh, oooh, my baby angel, Uncle Hideyoshi ish here (❁´◡`❁)🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸~~~ WHERE ARE YOU GOING MITSUHIDE I'M NOT DONE YET ( ☉д⊙)!!"
"MC needs help, so I will leave my daughter with you for a while ( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^)."
"Oh okay-- wait- WAIT! YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE HER. YOU ARE GROUNDED MITSUHIDE! G R O U N D E D!!!"
"Mmmnnn.. Eeehhheeee QAQ!!!!"
"Aaaaahhh my baby angel QAQ I'm sorry!!!"
"Oh my ( ͡^ ͜ʖ ͡^)."
"Just give her konpeito, she will stop crying for sure (˵ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°˵)." - Nobunaga

Children's party

Children: Me too!! Me too!! Me too!!
MC: He’s a hero, they like him very much.
Vincent: Ohhhh OK! MC, bring a photo of him and I’ll get some ink
Meanwhile….
Mitsuhide comes and starts painting the boy...
Mitsuhide: All done, I hope you like it (laughing inside)
Kid: ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, *starts crying* (o_O)
Mitsunari: What happened? Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh (o_O)
The kids start to cry at the same time….
Vincent: What have you done?
Mitsuhide: Just putting some drama… He wanted a bat kkkkkkk
MC: BATMAN, he wanted a BATMAN!!!
Mitsuhide: Darling, we all know that he DOESN’T exist…
More children hear and start to cry
MC: Mitsuhide... (╯︵╰,)
*
*
Sasuke: So, everybody, now you’re gonna have to guess which constellations are those! It will be so much fun!!!
Isaac: Yeah, it’s very important to know it if you want to be an astronomist. Maybe we can talk a bit about gravity too. Do you know what it is?
Children: ┐('~`;)┌
Sebastian: Maybe something easier? Do you know who Napoleon Bonaparte was?
One kid: Is that a game? It’s so boring, I’m not in class!
Sasuke: Yes, of course is a game. Now, I’ll start to show you all…
Starts to explain about the Big Bang, the stars, the sky…….
Children: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
A kid gets close: Hey guys, I found sake guy!!! Let’s talk to him!!!!
Kids: yeahhhhh ٩(。•́‿•̀。)۶
All the kids run out of the game/class….
Just one little girl stays
Isaac: So, little one, what is your question?
Little girl: Is that what you think fun is? You guys should really go out more….
Sasuke, Isaac and Sebastian: ( ̄_ ̄)・・・

Hi! Could I request an Ikesen or Obey me matchup, please? 😊 You don't have to do this if you don't want to!
I'm an INTP-T, Aquarius. I'm 5'4 (my friends are all really tall which annoys me to no end) and use the pronouns she/they and have really frizzy and unmanageable brown (borderline black) hair that reaches around halfway down my back which I usually keep in a ponytail and really dark brown eyes. I also wear glasses but I usually just forget to put them on half of the time 😅
My day never starts without either a cup of coffee or at least some lemon/peach tea and I love music, reading ('The tell tale heart' by Edgar Allen Poe is one of my favourites), animals and art and plan on majoring in marine biology. My favourite colour is brown just because of how warm it is and my sleep schedule is non existent.
I can be really insensitive sometimes by accident and have a really messed up sense of humor which is usually compiled of dark humor or self depreciative jokes. I'm generally very introverted, initially coming off as cold and/ or intimidating to people when they first meet me according to my friends so it takes a while for me to open up to people but I'm basically like a four year old on a sugar high once you get to know me. A smart and slightly emotionally detached four year old but a four year old with no impulse control or sense of self preservation on a sugar high nonetheless.
I struggle with self-love but I'll be damned if I ever let anyone else think or say anything bad about themselves and I'm really prone to bouts of emotional numbness whenever I get triggered by something like someone yelling at me or a loud noise which leads to me being very distant at times and causing me to struggle with maintaining any kind of relationship (be it platonic, romantic or familial). I'm overly confrontational and swear like a sailor and will not hesitate to call someone out especially when it comes to people I care about.
My love language is physical touch which I think comes from being overly touch starved and I'm clingy and really affectionate, even in public, but get flustered really easily by the littlest things. Like, I cannot handle compliments.
Thank you and make sure to stay safe and take care of yourself! 🥰❤ Also, sorry if this is really long 😅
Hii!💖💫 I matched you with somebody from ikesen, because I felt like it would be better 💖💫 Matching you with someone was really hard, I couldn't choose who to match you with in Ikesen, because you would be awesome with everybody in something, but in the end I picked 💖 I hope it's not too short 🥺💖
My choice for you is... *dice roll* Mitsuhide! And here's why:
• Kitsune boy would tease you for your height, because he, like the other warlords, is giraffe, but little bit of teasing never killed anybody unless you decide to kill him in his sleep for it
• With his straight white hair does he use purple shampoo? and light, golden eyes, you're like perfect opposites when it comes to looks and you make each other's beauty stand out even more
• He'll remaind you to wear your glasses, so you don't go around, bumping into walls or worse, other men
• He probably likes morning tea too, so you two spend your morning in each other's company, drinking tea and talking about your night Mitsuhide's morning voice? I feel like I'm pregnant just from imagining it
• Mitsuhide can probably sing, so he'll either sing or read to you while you fall asleep in his arms
• Another difference between you two is your style, unlike you, he likes cold, light colours you're like Anna and Elza but again, that makes yours beauty stand out more
• He tends to overwork himself, so his sleep schedule is also really bad, but he'll with help if unnamed mom friend try to get you both to rest better, after all, he has to take care of his little mouse
• Something you're both same at is your humor, when you two joke, half of the warlords look at you concerned, Mitsuhide loves your joke and you love to make him laugh
• With Mitsuhide being, well, what he is, your accidentally cold first impression doesn't shock many people, and even less people show when they find out how hyperactive you actually are
• He loves how smart you're, he's so proud of you and he loves showing you off
• Struggles with self love? Don't know her. Mitsuhide can not only have you begging for him in seconds sorry not sorry but he'll also make sure you know how beautiful and perfect to him you are, because he loves you with his whole heart and he'll never let you think something bad about yourself
• He knows everything, so he also knows the real you, so he'll not give up with you even through your distantness and he'll make sure you're okay and everything, no matter what happens
• He'll find your sharp tongue amusing and even more after you scream at somebody for almost hour after that person said something rude about Ranmaru protect that bby
• He'll bathe you in affection, even in public, he doesn't care, he'll treat his lady right no matter who watches
• Prepare to shine red all day long, he's a tease and he'll do anything to make you blush, so you might as well just rename yourself to tomato

I found this in chapter 56 and I thought it was kinda interesting. While Zen is comforting Shirayuki as she's crying, Mitsuhide says,"But this is about Zen and Shirayuki. I don't think this sudden distance is a big problem. It's not like being apart would cause their existence to become smaller in each other's lives." Maybe it's foreshadowing they will separate? What are your thoughts on this? Do you think ObiYuki still has a chance or is it just the author toying with us?
hi anon!! ( ̄ω ̄)
Short answer:
Yes, Whoaboy get ready I have some THOUGHTS, YESS!! and No.
I have been sitting on this ask for a long time sorry for le wait
The vast majority of this post is below the cut. I hope it is not too much / addresses what you meant.
Here are some notes before I subject whoever reads this to my madness:
These little moments of “It’s okay to do what you want to do” always strike me, and I think about them when I’m considering Zen v Obi endgame because it opens up the possibility that things can change.
Yes it’s a shojo and shojo protagonists tend to stick with their initial love interest... blah blah blah. I don’t think this preconceived notion of how shojo manga ‘always goes’ is a valid point anymore.
So .... I think the comments we are both thinking of usually refer to Shirayuki’s Path and how she must be able to Stand By Zen’s Side as an Ally, etc. So I’ll kind of be thinking of this from the angle of a Journey.
Everything discussed is also after The Play We Believe is Foreshadowing (except for the panels pulled from ch 9 and 20) which I think should be considered for the context of the plot.
If it is actually foreshadowing for an eventual Obi & Shirayuki story arc -- which tbh we might be in the midst of (currently) at ch 117 without realizing it -- then it’s relevant to how we frame the comments made afterwards. At the end of the day, Akizuki-sensei is an author. She is telling us a story. I think it’s reasonable to seek out clues to foreshadowing in fictional stories. So I’m operating under a 90% certainty that the play is foreshadowing.
I have found that the best (fictional) stories are ones that have been planned carefully. I have no way of verifying if AnS has been so precisely crafted to weave in so much foreshadowing that we speculate over, but damn it sure feels like it was.
The manga was originally just the first chapter, so we can assume that after writing that chapter and deciding to make it into a series, there was some planning done.
ANyway............... strong speculation ahead. I think I was ~60% thorough in my search to find material relevant to Foreshadowing of a Separation.
Please enjoy!
1) So we’ll start with a panel from ch 9,
where Zen is considering his relationship with Shirayuki and his growing crush.
This panel is, as stated above, part of the story that Akizuki expanded on after the original one-shot. In the first chapter, we get a lot of cute fate-chitchat between Zen and Shirayuki, but I think -- after deciding to continue the story -- Akizuki changed the tone to allow for more character development, and to challenge the Fate tropes often seen in romance.
Thus, the statement above from Zen that they may not always be together.
foreshadowing ?! ( ˙▿˙ )
___________________________
2) In Chapter 28,
we have the crew essentially saying they are all growing stronger for the sake of each other, and lending their strength as needed.
Within the story, Akizuki-sensei has established a theme of moving forward and changing as needed as a way to get stronger.
Mitsuhide says this to Shirayuki, also in Ch 28:
Why .... does Mitsuhide look so serious as he says this to her? Is he reconciling the fact that Shirayuki and Zens paths may diverge at some point, as they do for the Lyrias arc?
He follows up the above statement with:
He goes on to say,
“I want you to follow your heart so you can stand on your own wherever Zen takes you.”
So... maybe that context takes away some of the significance for fellow lovers of AnS. But I don’t think we should just ignore the statement.
I think she’s being given permission to change her mind; that it’s okay for her to have feelings for Zen, but it’s also okay if she chooses to end things. Mitsuhide will support her either way.
Even though the the full remark still has to do with Zen, she is being encouraged to stand on her own. She is her own person. She has friends who will still be there even if she chooses something different from what people expect of her.
In this case -- pertaining to AnS as a whole, from the perspective of everyone who ‘knows’ about ZenYuki in-story and also (meta!) the manga readers -- Shirayuki is expected to someday marry Zen.
After this, in Chapter 29, Izana is a bit derisive to Shirayuki after she gets the title from Tanbarun. I think his comments are intentionally made to make her uncomfortable. He says,
“Hahahaha! What an unusual title! Amazing!”
- cue confusion from Zen and Shirayuki -
“I wasn’t poking fun at it, it’s just a bit strange. Hmm... before, I said a nobody like her at your side would sully your name, Zen, but with this you can be friends without any such worry, right?
“Shirayuki, I’ve never asked what kind of relationship you want to have with Zen. And I don’t know if it’s something that can be said.”
Alrighty. So. Izana says in front of Shirayuki that he had described her as a nobody. This seems like something said meant to disquiet her, and her initial reaction is, “taken aback,” so we can safely say it was at least temporarily disconcerting for her to hear. I imagine it’s hurtful to hear you were once thought of as someone unworthy of notice.
Don’t get me wrong, I think most of what Izana says and does is in relatively good faith. I think the fandom has come to a general conclusion that he’s testing their relationship.
Obi finds her in the early morning and he notices that she’s upset, commenting that she’s making a strange face. She is still thinking about what Izana said, and Obi asks,
“Is it about the path you want to take?”
“....No. It’s that I haven’t given it any thought.”
Zen already wishes (though I don’t think he’s explicitly stated it the way he does later in ch 33) to marry Shirayuki, and we see her here facing emotional turmoil because that part of her future isn’t something she has thought about yet. Interesting, to say the least.
I’m not really sure about this, but it seems like she either means where Zen is taking her and / or where she can stand on her own.
And then .......
“Obi, will you lend me a hand?”
“Didn’t I tell you before that I’ll take you wherever you want to go?”
This part of the story is still heavy ZenYuki, but I think Obi saying this to her right now is significant. Akizuki has repeatedly weaved Shirayuki’s path into the themes of the story so far, while contrasting that Zen will meet her at her destination, while Obi will be at her side for the journey.
Zen and Shirayuki meet and talk. They basically address that Shirayuki doesn’t really know what the future holds, but that she still wants to stand by his side, and says that even though he’s a prince she wants to think it’s okay for her to feel that way.
You almost forget about the significance of Obi and Shirayuki’s relationship when it’s followed up by this ZenYuki scene. I wonder about the aforementioned nature-of-planning involved in the story and the future of the characters at this point.
gnah how did this post get so long already
___________________________
3) Zen has presumably given his blessing for Obi to be happy in love
In chapter 31, while the group is stranded outside Wistal due to rain, Zen and Obi are in the bath talking about the possibility of Kiki and Mitsuhide getting married.
“It’s fine with me as long as they can say that they’re happy. I intend to make sure of that.”
“You’ll make sure of that?”
“The same applies to you too, Obi.”
More foreshadowing? Presently it seems that the MitsuKiki ship has sunk, so contrasting this conversation to current-manga-events is titillating to me. ESPECIALLY because Zen says that he wants to make sure Obi is happy when Zen knows how Obi feels about Shirayuki. So it’s established that they will support one another as friends.
Later, Kiki and Mitsuhide are talking after dinner and discuss how the nature of Zen and Shirauki’s friendship never changes (that’s the impression I got from it). Mitsuhide recalls when he and Zen talked about the same thing:
I think what Kiki and Mitsuhide are referring to is that Zen and Shirayuki have made a conscious effort to become friends despite the barriers they’ve encountered so far, by way of them showing the strength of their mutual respect and desire to aid one another. I get a similar feel from the conversation between Zen and Mitsuhide.
And then .....
“The two of us will always be friends.”
ahem
Zen saying this -- in context to everything from the past four chapters -- implies that Zen is okay if their relationship is not romantic. If it is true that the mangas plot was deliberately planned out, these chapters will become increasingly interesting to look back on as the plot progresses.
The direction of the story has changed since then if we are only looking at the big turning point of Mitsuhide rejecting Kiki.
And despite that rejection, the group is still a group despite their physical distance.
___________________________
Brief note to say that in Ch 33 Izana says to Zen,
“Let me be an ally as you and Shirayuki follow your own path.”
While this is a ZenYuki comment, I see it as Akizuki reinforcing that each character is following their own path and they will be supported as they do.
___________________________
3.5) After this point is the first Lyrias arc,
where obiyuki shippers are starting to salivate over how much is packed in just for their relationship. I mean .... remember when she pushed him to the ground because she thought he would get hit by snow? And he gives her those moony eyes just like it didn’t stop ... my heart
UGH JUST SAYING IT BECAUSE context! Shirayuki’s path is changing slowly, and Obi is still by her side.
___________________________
4) A period of transition
I think this is around the time the Bergatt arc is actually beginning, leading up even to current-manga-events.
In Chapter 53
And thus, they head towards the path that a new wind blows upon.
The times are changing.
While Shirayuki is preparing for her and Ryuu’s move to Lyrias, Zen and co. are at Wilant meeting with Haruto, who describes fools aiming to throw the country into turmoil. This is a seed for the plot that develops, ie, the Bergatt arc that was not actually resolved when Touka gets taken down at Sereg in ch (?) 86. I bring this up because I think it shows the level of planning that Akizuki has put into the story at this point.
In chapter 55, after Shirayuki has finally been able to tell Zen she’ll be away from Wistal for 2 years, and they have this conversation (slightly paraphrased) after he’s processed for a short time:
Zen -
“Sorry. The fact that you would be leaving the castle was something that I’d never considered. So my reaction was a little slow.
“I’ll hear it. I’m sure there was more you wanted to say.”
Shirayuki -
“I’m really glad that I got to meet you and come to the castle! I’m where I am now because I wanted to become Zen’s ally; and i achieved that by coming to the castle and becoming a royal pharmacist.
“I’m sure that, like how it’s always been, there’s something ahead connecting to my path now. That’s why, because there’s a place I have yet to go, I want to be there.”
This is Zen’s face after she says the above:
What is he thinking? Is he worried about their romantic relationship? I interpret it as preemptive disappointment that they may not stay together.
Shortly after we get to the point you made in your ask (sweet anon) re ch 56 with Mitsuhides comment. This adds to the reinforced theme that change is okay and they will all still be friends and allies regardless of where life takes them.
BUT IMMEDIATELY AFTER Mitsuhide says that in reference to Zen and Shirayuki, Obi responds:
Is Akizuki drawing a parallel between MitsuKiki and ZenYuki? No idea. maybe. But somehow I do not find it coincidental.
This seems like a MitsuKiki hint, meant to fuel the ultra-shippable pair that we all loved... but after the rejected proposal, it’s hard not to see the whole situation differently re: zenyuki / obiyuki and mitsukiki / hisakiki.
Then the first true ObiYuki hug, and this:
“It feels as though Obi might suddenly appear in Lyrias!”
girl you already knew. Shirayuki knows that Obi will follow her.
Obi deliberately postpones going to Lyrias, though, in order to consider his feelings for Shirayuki and how to tell Zen.
Then!! in 58-59 we get long-awaited confirmation from Obi that he has feelings for Shirayuki, and after this beautiful moment Obi goes to Lyrias to be at Shirayuki’s side, and after everything that has happened so far that is a clincher for me regarding our beloved Foreshadowing.
While discussing Obi’s crush on Shirayuki, Obi asks Zen
“Aren’t you going to propose?”
“.......................Well, I’m.. making her .. wait.”
“Master ... I don’t recommend postponing it, you know.”
I wonder about this comment. Is this a clue for us that Zen postponing engagement is going to be a negative thing in the future?
idk maybe ╮( ̄ω ̄)╭
Either way ........ This transition period, in between Lyrias 1 and 2, shows us that the story is changing.
___________________________
I have definitely not covered all of the possible moments of foreshadowing and am actually going to leave off on that topic for the time being. I might do a part 2 as its own post.
But for now I will switch to previously mentioned point that...
5) Obi and Shirayuki’s paths are walked together
I think the following two panels are a great way to frame their relationship. Chapter 20 in early Tanbarun arc:
And then, much later in chapter 106 as they stand by the fire and Shirayuki tells Obi he’s handsome in the light:
“... because you come with me.” ( ╥ω╥ )
And then more delightful talk from chapter 104 that I think is ... gasp
foreshadowing !!!!!
They are having this discussion after they’ve found out about Kiki becoming engaged to Hisame.
“It’s necessary to have the courage to make a decision and take a step down that path, isn’t it?”
Shirayuki is possibly saying this due to the implications of Kiki’s letter. Kiki has made the choice to take a new path from the one she had been on by marrying Hisame.
So what about Shirayuki’s journey? Has her growth led her to a path she didn’t expect, and now it will take courage to step down it?
In recent chapters Shirayuki is shown to be seeing Obi differently and as a man:
overhearing him calling her beautiful and being surprised that he is embarrassed she heard
witnessing him going to a marriage meeting
that little moment where he is holding her wrist as a Lyrias knight tells him that the knights sister wishes him luck in love
the firelight comment oh my god
realizing she lost the pin Obi gave her and tearing up as she literally stared at him; upset that the gift she cherished is now missing and potentially realizing how very dear to her Obi actually is
fake dating and the 10 seconds of ... just... I still cant even
Obi is the one who is by Shirayuki’s side. They developed a bond through years friendship that is now being reframed by Akizuki. The nature of their relationship has been slowly changing and I think we approaching a time in the manga where Shirayuki will realize it.
___________________________
To answer your last question ... I do think ObiYuki has a chance and I do not think the author is just toying with us. I’ve talked a lot about my ObiYuki Endgame feels in previous posts/asks. I could probably talk about it forever but this post is absurdly long .... sorry

*giggles* You really are behaving like a child. I said let's go to eat first. I don't know if Mitsuhide is there. If he is, you can just ignore him. Just think that he doesn't exist, ok? *pulls him* It's a waste for all the tasty food to go waste! *drags him to the dining table* Hey everybody! We are here~ I'm sorry it took me some time.
Masamune: You managed to drag him out of his room, good one lass!
Ieyasu: Hmph... what a pain...
That’s enough, let’s begin eating.

Thank you @otome-land for the request!!!
Ieyasu
Ieyasu hated the cold, especially when he realized he was sleeping alone. She was not there next to him as every morning, and he frown from it.
Is she still angry? Because they had a small argument last night, heavens knows why. Of all the days to have an argument when he was tired, unintentionally let it out on her when she needed him the most to one of her bad days.
He was being bad too, and this must not be prolonged.
"Who..?"
He blinked to his fellow warlord. "..I need to see her, and I don't have time to joke around for this morning, Masamune-sa-""Well we are in the same boat."
..What?
He went to other fellow warlords, and the answer is the same. Even Mitsuhide, who is known to be mischievous, admitted that he didn't know such woman. "Why Ieyasu, finally falling in love?""It's not like that..!" He snapped to Hideyoshi, causing surprise to the latter.
Pressing his lips tight, he managed to calm his breathing before murmuring "...I'm sorry." and walk away from them. Or maybe.. He could ask with the seamstresses of the castle?
"MC-..?" They look at one another. "We didn't know of such person, my lord." Fine. Maybe there's a completed kimono somewhere in the room? He had bought her a yellow fabric recently and she said she had finished it--
There was none.
..NO. Where is she..? Is it- is it all nothing but a dream? If this is a dream he want to wake up from it..! He want to wake up from it..!!
"..yasu.. Ieyasu..!!"
He jolted awake, cold sweat were all over him; head wheeled to the side. "M-MC--" It was her. It was her..! She is right here, in front of him, with a very worried expression on her face. Soft touch could be feel on his cheeks as she whispered, "Are you alright? You were breathing heavily while you were sleeping; are you feeling sick--" Before she could complete her words, he instantly wrapped his arms around her body.
"H-hey.. Ieya-- s-stop..! You will squeeze the baby..!" She whimpered.
"Eh-.." He released her. "..What?"
She pursed her lips, blushing to him. "I'm.. sorry for last night. It must have been the changes in.. yeah-- I found out I was pregnant and- mmn-"
He kissed her, gently pushing her onto their futon, feeling her warmth to his heart content, and to remind himself that she is not a fantasy but reality, and to apologize for his wrong doings.
Masamune
"This is war, lass. You have to understand. I couldn't return your feelings, and besides, I believe there are better man out there for you, and not me." He said it as a matter-of-factly to her, only eye narrowing to her painful ones.
"Of course. Of course this is war. Of course I understand it. If I didn't, I would've left everything, back to my time; leaving you." She whispered, enough for him to hear, and raised one of his eyebrows into a confused frown. "...Time? What do you mean--"
"If only we didn't met."
That was her last words, before the following morning. A very shocking, and strange morning to begin with. He had been going around, secretly searching for her despite vowing to himself to avoid her at all costs, so she won't feel hurt by him again.
But then when he realized that she wasn't around, that is where his instinct kick him-- to search for her, just to make sure she is alright, or maybe still crying, with one tear or two. Yet she wasn't there. Not her room, not the council, nor the whole castle. And..
"...MC..? Who..?"
He rarely feel bewildered like this. Especially to the reactions of his fellow warlords, particularly Nobunaga himself whom she had rescued from fire back then. "A woman saved me from fire you say? What kind of interesting dream you had, Masamune."
..What..? He himself didn't remember his savior?
The maids, the guards, even her fellow seamstresses gave the same answer, one after another. "...Then who did I kiss back in the lake..?"
Yes. The lake. The soft lips. The lips that he tried to steal for a kiss every now and then. And he himself had stole those owner's happiness into bitterness to his words. "..Damn it. What have I selfishly said--" He groaned, smashing his own forehead hard on the table surface. The pain is unbearable, still.. The pain he had caused her is much more painful. "I'm an idiot.."
Before he know it, he had fallen asleep on the table itself, accompanied by a sleep talk, "MC... I'm sorry."
Her hands that were about to wrap his body with a blanket froze mid-air. "..You are forgiven, no matter what mischief you had done this time." She giggled. He must have been dreaming the same dream he had, few years back, of the day that she suddenly disappeared from this world, and next, bursting into her room to propose to her in instant.
Mitsuhide
"I'd say you will be a nuisance, little mouse. Not only you won't be able to do anything, you will be an extra baggage for me." He coldly say to her, despite having a perfect curve of grin on his face.
"..Fine then. If I'm such nuisance, it will be better if I just disappear forever..! And when it happens, don't ever search for me!" She stomped off angrily with tears on her face.
Well, that does it. That's more than enough to push her away, so he can protect her for her own good. She is a pure woman, and he wouldn't want to taint her purity from his dangerous jobs. "But to say that it's better you disappear.. That will be too much for me, little mouse." He chuckled, finding her comeback this time was too emotional.
..How ironic that he reacted like his own words now.
She was not there, in everywhere he searched for her. He even asked his vassal, only to get a surprising answer. "MC-sama.. You say? I'm afraid I didn't know such person, My lord."
Kyubei is not the type to lie, especially towards him. This situation right now somehow pricked his chest, making him to act uncharacteristically of his own facade. It had broke piece by piece, gradually gets desperate just to hear her voice again.
Does this mean she never existed? Never at all? Because right now, the room; her room in front of his bare eyes..
Is just an empty room.
"...." He slump down on his knees, staring idly onto the tatami underneath him. "...Where did you go..? Am I.. Dreaming now? To dream for someone like you appearing in my life-- turned out to be a play of a dream itself..?" A bitter chuckle left him, as his eyes slowly close shut.
When he come to, there was a blanket around his body. The scent was familiar, very nostalgic. "..This--""You finally wake up I see?"
His aureus orbs widen, head shot up to the person who he desperately searching the whole day. "..MC-- You--""Really? Is that the first word you say after barging into someone's room to sleep right at the door, after saying something mean yesterday?"
Eyes blinking once, and twice, he stopped and stared deeply to her frowning features that slowly turned into a concerned ones. "What's wrong..? Are you sick?"
Oh yes, he is.
Sick in missing her. Badly.
Kenshin
"...Wife?"
His voice came in a lowly whisper, a hoarse whisper. Mismatched eyes widened, as he search for her frantically around the room. It was in a middle of the night, perhaps she had gone to the bathroom?
Kenshin would always have trouble sleeping at night, but not after she was there, by his side, holding hands with him everyday to fight those endless nightmares. But today, at a peculiar hour, she was gone; his bed has gone cold.
"Sasuke..! Sasuke..!" He bursts out of his room, calling for his ninja. The moment he get to see him in sight, he instantly grabbed him by the arms, asking for his wife.
"..MC..?" His usually expressionless vassal showed a slight changes on his face-- a confused ones. "I apologize Kenshin-sama. But I'm not familiar with such name--" He draws back from the sword on his neck, "..And I am not joking, I really am."
"What's with the ruckus this early morning, Kenshin?" It was Shingen, followed by sleepy Yukimura, whom later gave him the same answer to his question.
"What..? Your wife, you say?" Shingen crosses his arms, looking at Kenshin in disbelief as if his head had grown a plant. "And here I thought you hated woman..?"
"Kenshin-sama..?!"
He had fell onto his knees, looking pale all over. What is this..? Is this another nightmare of his? A nightmare that also want to separate MC away from him; the ultimate happiness of his life-- is also taken away from him? "Why-- just why--" Tears fell on his cheeks, shocking the people around him.
"MC..! MC..!!" He choked, gripping on the sheets beneath him, thrashing left and right with cold sweat around his body. He then awake with a jolt, finding himself back to his room.
"Anata..? What's wrong?" Gentle hand touches his cheek, bringing the calmness back to his heart beat. It was his wife, the person who he desperately search for before. "Nightmare?" She asked with that soft voice of hers, patting his head as he rests on her chest. His silence answers everything, and she kissed his forehead from it.
"I will always be with you, no matter what. If one day, when I'm not there, I will always be with you, in here." She pointed to his head, "And here." and to his chest. "..Hmn. If you are not here, in this world, I would be with you no matter where you go."
"Pffft.. Oh you."
He smiled, holding her close to his heart content before kissing her deeply.

Hi 🌸🌸🌸 Thank you for the request! No it's not uncomfortable at all, hope you like it ❤❤❤❤❤!
MC Who Doesn't Know What Is Love.
Nobunaga
"Am I good enough?"
Was the first words she said to him when he wants her to be by his side as he unite Japan. She is unlike any other woman who is hungry for a man with power, or like those who will be all embarassed and gets all shy when a man tried to swoop them off their feet.
"There's plenty of people out there, I'm sure they will serve you well."
Serve? Heh. How odd. Nobunaga find her to be quirky, especially self-worth. She will always put herself as something insignificant; maybe she is too humble?
"Hmm? Well.. My parents always said that I am not good enough.. So I doubt that I will be better even in a relationship. That is why, I don't think I have such right to be beside you." She smiled, wryly.
Nobunaga may not have a perfect childhood nor a proper way of loving to be taught by anyone, but one thing for sure, "You are worth, more than what you think. There is no such thing as being good enough or not, it is why humans are said that they are not perfect."
Even though there is no one to teach him on how to love, there is still someone who make him realize his true feelings, which is her. Now it is his turn to get her to learn on how to love him, and herself.
Mitsuhide
He had loved her for a very long time, ever since they met with one another. To tease her is a norm, getting the best reaction from her is his everyday entertainment.
But when it comes to teasing that contains love topic, or 'love' itself,
She will be indifferent.
She will be confused. She will ask "why", and "What did you see in me?" And "Why do you choose me, of all people?"
He then learned that she was abandoned, emotionally wise. She told him that her own blood will be away from home, and if they have the chance, they will pretend that she wasn't there-- eating together without her, throwing her best dresses and burn it, and not even a single touch were given to her, out of love.
She grew up with such surroundings, resulting in her, thinking that she is insignificant. Thus is why, she is confused of why Mitsuhide would choose to tease and be with her, of all people.
Yet his answer were simple. "Little mouse. You said such hurtful things; your existence is insignificant?" He grinned, leaning closer until their noses touch, "You didn't know how even from a single curve on your lips enough to make my chest heavy with unnecessary feelings."
Kenshin
If he blamed himself as a curse, then she is too.
She become closer to Kenshin because they have mutual self-blame on ownself. They shared stories, experiences, trauma.. But unlike Kenshin, who is surrounded with loyal vassals, she has no one.
No one to be there to lead her out from darkness. Nor to tell her that she is not a curse that her parents would always accuse of her.
"You see.. They said that I am the cause of their misery. Unlike my beautiful, talented sibling, I have nothing but needles and fabrics. That very moment when people know we are related, they shunned us away. Well," She shrugged. "My parents are well known people, with businesses. My beautiful sister is a popular person out there. So.."
She was accused of their downfall when they didn't meet people's expectations. People make fun of them, tease the whole family, and gradually they point their fingers on her, for being someone who has nothing to offer to the world.
"..Do you bring downfall to my castle, by making clothes for the vassals?"
It was a simple question from him. But somehow it clicked something inside of her, that no matter how she looked upon herself, there will be an outsider who understood her better; and all her hard work.
Shingen
"If I stop smiling for you, will you get bored of me?"
Was the thing that she said to one of his flirting of the saying of "I will never get bored with your adorable smile."
"I can't smile forever.. Well, I used to, until my own parents hated me for looking like a fool."
She had been struggling, all her life, to be a good child. To be an obedient child that won't create problems, nor to demand for attention, or to be spoiled. A daily routine from home was nothing but books, and books, and books. As there will be a severe beating if she gets a low mark in her studies.
Smiling is her usual thing to do to their orders. A smile, and a yes. Until she met Shingen.
He is a loving man. But she can be insecure at times. Of which.. Will he get bored and throw her away like her parents?
"I'm sorry for the weird question, it's just.. I can't believe that you still love me even though I choose not to laugh at your.. well.. I know it's a part of your charm, but--"
"Shh. Who said I will stop loving you that easily?" He smiled, hugging her close. "Looks like no matter how charming I am, it is still not enough to convince that you can be yourself when you are with me, as there is no need to impress me all the time. That's what love is, My Goddess. I accept all of your flaws."
