Can we get a snippet or drabble or your thoughts on an angsty moment -and Andy’s surprisingly soft reaction- that takes reader by surprise by the end of it…

Maybe she’s not feeling well and missing all the comforts of her old life- the things she would do when not feeling well prior to this life with Andy

It started with a mug.

Andy presented it to you about a week after you moved upstairs. It was your favorite color (your real actual favorite, not something he’d decided you liked) and had a pretty vine pattern etched into it. It was your mug. You drank your tea out of it every day. And you tried to tell yourself that it was bad because everything that came from him was bad. But it was yours. No one else drank out of it. Only you. It felt like the only thing in the world that you actually owned. 

And so, as you looked at the shattered pieces on the floor, as you told yourself that this was fine, that it was just another thing in this house full of things, all you felt was immense, gut-wrenching loss. You sank down next to the pile of shards on the ground. Maybe you could piece it back together, or, or– You didn’t know what to do. And you knew you were being ridiculous but you started crying. Sobbing. You’d already lost so much. And now the last thing on earth that belonged to you was gone too, and you were the one who destroyed it.

You heard Andy’s footsteps come into the kitchen, but you couldn’t see him from where you were crouched behind the island. “What was that crash?” he asked, harshly. The sob you let out brought him around to where you were. He looked down at you, his hands on his hips. “What happened here?”

You looked up at him through your teary eyes. He was going to be so upset with you. “I’m sorry,” you gasped. “I’m so sorry! I don’t know what happened. It fell, and, and– it’s gone now.” You tried to wipe your face clean, but you couldn’t stem the stream of tears.

“You didn’t throw it?” Andy asked.

“No! No, I would never!” You hoped he could see how sincere you were. 

He sighed and crouched down in front of you. “Explain to me why you’re so upset.”

You struggled for a moment, no idea how to put everything you were feeling into words. And you were so scared of saying the wrong thing. Finally, all you could come up with was, “You gave it to me.”

“Oh, sweetheart,” he cooed as his face completely softened, no hint of anger or a coming reprimand remaining on it. He gently grasped your elbows, “Here, let’s get you up. I don’t want you to hurt yourself on any of the shards.” 

He raised you up slowly, then guided you into one of the stools at the counter. Then he went to the little kitchen closet and grabbed the broom and dustpan. As he started to clean up, you rushed to stand. Andy hardly ever cleaned anything. That was your job. “Oh no,” you tried to stop him. “That’s ok, I can do it!”

He just hushed you, as he quickly made a pile of the shards and scooped them into the pan, and then into the trash. “See?” he said, “all done. It’s fine.” He ushered you into the living room and pulled you down into his lap on the couch, wrapping you tight in his arms. “I’ll get you a new one,” he said softly. “Even prettier than the last one.”

Without even thinking about it, you laid your head on his shoulder, as he ran his hand up and down your back. “You’re such a good girl,” he whispered. “I’m so glad you’re here. You make me so happy.” You knew you should hate that. You knew that it should make you angry. But you were just so relieved that he wasn’t upset with you, you couldn’t help but sink into him. 

After a few moments of just cuddling, he spoke again, his low voice right next to your ear. “I think you need a break, huh? How about we just spend the day together? Your chores can wait til tomorrow. We’ll even order dinner in tonight. How’s that sound?”

You were so worn out, from your sobbing, yes, but also, from everything, so all you could do was nod into his shoulder.

“Ok, then that’s what we’ll do. Just me and my good girl,” he said, his voice maybe the gentlest you’d ever heard.

“Thank you, Andy,” you sighed.

hey saucy <3 this is quite a self-indulgent ask, although maybe something similar has been submitted here before (sorry if that's the case 😭) but I just had this thought come into my head whilst trying to sleep.

so, I've always been very self-conscious about my weight and my body, but especially recently I've been feeling it a lot. I have stretch marks all across my hips and over my lower stomach and down the tops of my thighs which suddenly got a lot worse for like no apparent reason? and obviously I kinda hate them a lot 😅 and it made me realise that although I haven't been intimate with someone for quite a while, if I were to right now I think I would actually be too self-conscious to want my body to be fully seen, which makes me sad.

I was wondering if you could write a little something about how each of the boys would react to their partner telling them they're incredibly self-conscious about showing their body during sex, and also what kinds of things they'd be willing to do to make someone feel more comfortable. if they'd suggest wearing a blindfold or doing stuff over clothes or under the bedsheets or with the lights off, maybe? just so I can have some shameless fantasies to really resonate with and make me smile :)

It wasn't until he started seeing the same insecurities in you and realising that you weren't attractive despite your body but because of it that he started seeing the beauty in himself as well. Maybe he's not ready to film himself making love to you yet. But he's getting there.

HELLOOOOO I'm so sorry it took me a bit to get round to this 😭 but I'm BACK and ecstatic as ever to yap some more about bokris!!! as someone who also struggles with anxiety, this one hits close to home but is also quite therapeutic to think about. sending hugs to you <3 🫂

some people need a little space during a panic attack or when they feel anxious because it can be so overwhelming, or sometimes they can't figure out whether they'd feel better with someone close and with physical touch or not. I don't think that would be the case with Bojan, I think that physical touch and reassurance would be exactly what he needs and Kris would also be able to sense that too. if he noticed Bojan being quieter than usual before a concert or just seeming less present, he'd get him to sit down, drink some water and stay beside him.

I imagine he'd hold Bojan's hand the whole time as a kind of anchor to ground him, encourage Bojan to lean into him, or maybe just hold him in a hug until he feels better. and sometimes just hearing Kris' voice helps as it gives him something else to focus on, so maybe Kris would speak gently to him with little reassurances like telling him he's okay, or again just random things to distract him.

and when the anxiety subsides, Kris always gets a kiss from Bojan as a thank you :)

Hello, 🍶boo! thank you for stopping by and I LOVE YOU TOO!!!!! i totally feel you, considering i’ve had my fair share of performances that could have been better, but here’s the boys comforting you after!

High school au, btw!

Kris: Although you and Kris went to different schools, they were still relatively close, making him waiting for you (when he doesn’t have to watch his siblings) and vice versa,a common practice. He knew your performance was that day and how you were both excited and nervous to perform. He waited for you outside of the school with a soft boyish grin and his hands in his pockets, his cheeks red from the slight October chill. He waved at you and approached you, his brows furrowing when he saw how upset you looked. He listened as you explained how wrong everything went, walking you back to his house with your hands intertwined. When you two got back to his house, his parents greeted you and let you go to his room where he cuddled you and cheered you up, telling you that it’s fine and that surely everyone but you was wrong.

Bojan: He was in the crowd, making it so much worse. You stared at him sad and scared, his reassuring smile urging you to at least finish the performance and get off the stage as soon as you can. While it was over you just couldn’t help but to avoid him to your best ability until he finally caught up to you during lunch and asked you why you were ignoring him. After you began crying about how bad you thought you sounded, he got Martin to tell you all the times he’s messed up (with video evidence, of course) while playing live.

Jan: You didn’t plan on telling him how badly it went. While you loved him to pieces you knew that sometimes he didn’t know how to comfort you or how to react. After school he approached you and wrapped his arm around your shoulders he without elaborating lead you to the cafe near the local park and ordered your favourite drink before taking leftovers of some snacks he had bought during lunch for you two to share. When you’d asked him why he just said “you look like you needed comfort” and shrugged.

Jure: This boy is mad awkward. He doesn’t really know how to comfort you at first when you come upset and slightly irritated (at yourself, not him, but he needs a bit to figure it out) so he ends up texting his friend about what to do, and ends up getting you flowers and chocolate with an awkward grin before hugging you and kissing your cheek.

Nace: He is a huge teddy bear so he ends up being the best pillow and vent buddy. You’re laying in his bed and playing with his fingers while you listen to some music on his speaker and he pets your hair, letting you get it out of your system before assuring you that you’re still good at what you do and that everyone has their bad days, when they don’t sound good or play good. he offers to bake with you because he thinks it’d be a fun idea so you end up baking cookies in his kitchen in the afternoon with his parents greeting the two of you in between.

after sidney’s phone call, rory is definitely placing unnecessary pressure on herself-

and i feel like the defiantly the team definitely notices, maybe letang (one of the older guys for sure) brings it to the attention of one of the athletic trainers/sports therapists/psychologist

and after the fact, whoever it is that tells the trainer/therapist/psychologist is going around voicing his concern

(because maybe she’s notably carefree or doesn’t stress beofre the draft, idk an iconic interview)

and then sidney realizes it’s because he pulled the shit he did

(but he absolutely doesn’t do anything about it for a while, even after realizing)

Kris likes Rory because she’s become friends with Alexander always asking his dad about him.

So one day when Kris gets to the rink early he sees Rory out doing laps which he first thinks nothing of but then when he sees Sidney come into view yelling at her for being too slow Kris wants to lose it seeing what looked like the life get sucked out Rory’s eyes.

As much as Kris wanted to get involved he didn’t want to get you into any more trouble than what it seemed you were already in so he decided to keep the news to himself before he went home after practice to tell Catherine who literally chewed him out for not standing up for you.

So Kris repeats his actions from the morning the next day where he sees the same thing happen all over again. This time he looks to Aimee the teams sports psychologist as he just wants to make sure that Rory is okay.

After the next game Catherine avoids Sidney like the plague because she doesn’t know if she could keep her mouth shut to him and instead goes to talk to Rory.

That game had been a rough one for Rory because it was against the Islanders and she spent most of her time on the ice been shoved against the board so when she scored the winning OT goal she literally cries in the post game interview as she repeats how she didn’t think she could do it.

Sidney starts to feel bad because that’s her first NHL goal but her confidence was so badly knocked that she couldn’t even celebrate it.

20. What is their best memory together?

For purposes, I'll be using Numeron Code and Lunar Cycle for this one, since it's two of the established Dualism AUs with a set plot and ending!

Numeron Code : I think their best memories together are the simple ones where they're just playing games- whether by themselves or with the friends they've made along the way. Dueling has become a form of battle for them, something that decides life or death, whether they would be separated or not- and it's easy to forget that dueling in itself was what brought them together in the first place. Kururingo's music, particularly "Another Dearest" was a big inspiration for Dualism's dynamic in the first place, and it especially rings true for this AU. At the end of the day, they just want to play together.

Lunar Cycle : Lunar Cycle, in its entirety, takes place in a realm of dreams and memories- so the memories they make in there are kind of strange in a way. But, like Numeron Code, I think the memories they both value are the simple ones, where they were able to pretend they weren't in a glitchy reality; taking on the gym challenge together, helping the people of dreamworld Sinnoh along the way, even their encounters with Kris and Nikolai. The most important part of Lunar Cycle is, well, the cycling- and it's often Piper who bikes while Slater sits behind him, keeping track of their steps and saving their progress.

27. How far would they go for each other? Would they risk their own lives for each other?

They are very Lower-coded for a reason.

Ashe and I like to joke that they're many duos of certain media- Yuri and Estelle of Tales of Vesperia, Suujimatsu of Osomatsu-san, literally every duo in Yu-Gi-Oh, Madoka and Homura of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, etc.

Dualism was initially named Aibou, which itself was from Yu-Gi-Oh due to how important that term is. They went from being "partners" to "other halves"- they're halves of a whole, and in Numeron Code especially (or at least the second iteration of it), Piper does everything he can to keep that other half with him, as it fills a hole where his friends used to be.

Even in other AUs or scenarios, they care for each other to the point they would follow each other to the ends of the earth- whether it leads to a good or bad ending, as long as they're together, everything will be alright.

As from this collab with Ashe says,

"You made my dream come true," Piper smiles amidst the flames. "My dream- it's something we both share, right?" The screams of the souls he's hunted blend with those of the living- but he only hears Slater's voice and his song. "You've always been at my corner, even when everyone else left. You," He chokes up slightly. "Are my other half. My everything. I have you to thank for my victory." The silver coins that filled his pockets clattered to the floor, the sound of metal clinking against the ground morphing into church bells. An unanswered prayer remains unspoken. "You'll always have me in your heart- as you are in mine, partner."

And, actually, I wasn't going to make anyone suffer and just make this a happy Bojan/Tomi fic and then I realized it would be perfect if Tomi notices the thing between Kris and Bojan and is like "I saw the way he was looking at you tonight. He's probably wondering where you are right now." And then it turned into a Bokris endgame because i am nothing if not predictable. But I also love the delicious complexity of it: Bojan does love Kris, but he made a mistake. And he does are about Tomi. Tomi does mean something to him. He got carried away. It's possible to love someone but also be drawn to someone else, have a history with someone else, and it's messy and complicated. But they figure it out. They talk. They go over the misunderstandings that brought them here. Bojan apologizes. Relationships are complex like that sometimes, and I wanted them to find a way through that complexity.

okay so I think if I'm remembering this correctly from somewhere, Bojan said not too long ago that he used to have in his mind that he wanted kids when he's around 30, but he also now doesn't mind if he waits a bit longer than that (I don't know where I'm remembering that from though so I apologise if I have that wrong 😅). as for Kris, I don't remember hearing about his thoughts on having kids either, but from a hypothetical standpoint, I also think he'd probably want to wait a bit but make sure that he's on the same page as his partner (and in this case, that would be Bojan 🥰).

I imagine that it's something both of them would really only consider when their pace of life has slowed right down and they are able to step back from commitments for an extended amount of time, so I can see them both being between the ages of 30-35 in this hypothetical scenario. maybe one day Bojan mentions something about having kids off-handedly to Kris for no other reason than the fact it's just been on his mind lately, although maybe it's also subconsciously to gauge a reaction. Kris doesn't think he's entirely serious at first, he's just doing that thing he sometimes does where he thinks and fantasises about the future out loud, but then he takes a look at Bojan's face after he's quiet for a moment and sees something there in his eyes. then, they both realise that actually, maybe this is something they do both want and maybe, finally, they are ready for it.

they might talk about adoption and I can totally see them doing that, however, I remember Bojan saying about wanting at least 2 kids so what if they also considered surrogacy... one time with Bojan's genes and one time with Kris'.

aaaaand one final thought about them as parents: they would both absolutely dote on their children, but if they were going to be assigned into the stereotype, Bojan would be the "fun parent" and Kris would be the "strict parent" (although I use the word "strict" very loosely - I just think he'd be a little more so than Bojan who would absolutely act like a kid himself at times when interacting with their children 😭)

2017-18 we got to the ecf riding on rookie jt's shoulders (also smh terry shot us out of that game 7). 18-19 we were a second round exit 😔. i'll always side eye kyrie for the bucks series. 19-20 the raptors series gassed us badly and it's not like they choked? the heat were the #1 seed? 20-21 first-round exit bc jaylen hurt and jayson had to drop fifty just to win a game against the superteam nets. 21-22 was the first finals year and like, jayson and jaylen had to basically go 100 from january bc we were at .500 for the first half of the season. our path was sooo much harder than the warriors. like the whole 24 playoff run, it was all the celtics weren't 'battle-tested' like we didn't have to go through the kd-kyrie nets, giannis and the bucks, and the heat with their Devil Magic in 2022. you can't just say they 'never finish' without the CONTEXT (sorry i get fired up about this). and ok fine, 22-23 we choked (had a first-year hc for all its worth)
