Every now and then I think about how tragic a character Vaggie is

Like most people don't understand the suffering she most likely went through for as long as she was in Heaven under Adam as her mentor and main authority figure and probably the closest thing she ever had to a parent. And Lute, competing with her, maybe having feelings for her, being betrayed by what was probably the closest thing she had to a friend.

What most people don't get is the heavy weight of expectation that's placed on you for having a singular purpose and needing to perform it well. They don't get how seriously that fucks up your self worth.

I am so sick of people saying she's "underdeveloped" and "only exists to be Charlie's girlfriend". I will say, I'd love to get more insight to her backstory. I'd like to see her on her own, bonding with other people, but what we have right now doesn't take away from her core character.

Vaggie doesn't understand how to work for herself, how to live for herself, because she was probably never taught. She's been taught to only perform the task she was given, and is conditioned into believing that the services she can provide defines her and her worth as a person. That's why she acts the way she does when things don't go as planned, because she messed up, and she can't handle it because she's been raised to believe that she can't mess up. Charlie simply doesn't understand that yet.

Charlie is the one thing that holds her together, that reminds her that it's okay to be imperfect, but positive reinforcements like that can be so easy to forget in moments of vulnerability. It's why Vaggie lies. It's why she's so mortified of Charlie finding out the truth. Because she knows that everything she's ever brought herself to love after her entire life got ripped away from her, could disappear, and she'd be back to having nothing.

Now, obviously, that's not true. But when you've lost everything in the past because of one wrongdoing, of course you'd be afraid of it happening again. Of course when you think the worst of yourself, you expect the worst to happen.

I hope in the future she gets the chance to have her own arc and realize how damaging her toxic mentality is to both her and her relationship with Charlie. I hope they both get to grow and learn as people and form an even stronger bond because of it. I hope Vaggie gets to finally heal and get the closure and development she deserves.

when people try to downplay the dsmp's story and roleplaying, i want to shake them because cc!techno did not write an interesting arc where his character learned to rely on his friends despite multiple betrayals and to change tactics despite the fact his violent tactics worked for people to say it was bad or pointless.

cc!techno did not drop amazing banger lines time after time and put his all into the delivery just for people to pretend like 'do you want to be hero tommy then die like one' or 'i have a pickaxe and i'll put it through your teeth' or 'you've got the wrong hostage, I CARE' mean nothing because they've decided the dsmp is cringe and bad actually.

i, unfortunately, care about the timeline, i care about the lore and its consistency, i care about the writing and characters, i like connecting dots that were likely never meant to be connected, and most importantly, I LOVE BOTW- as such, i cannot simply ignore totks existence, as much as i wish i could, botw gets lumped together with totk like they are one game all the time, botw basically ceased to exist as its own game, you cannot look or think about as its own thing, its now always chained to the much worse 'sequel' in a way i dont see it with other game sequels, totk messes with it all, introduces stuff i utterly hate, and i cant escape it, any time i start up botw, i think of totk, everytime botw is brough up, totk will be there, anytime i try to engage with botw content, totk is there, haunting me

i sometimes i wish it did actually kill my love for the zelda franchise bc at least then i could maybe, finally let it go, even if id still be bitter about it, i maybe could let go, but thats not how this kind of obsession works, i cant just choose to not care and move on

The criticism that I've seen that Gwiles/Ghostflower receives that they "are only so connected bc they're both spiders" is silly cuz idk how to break it to ya but that's the whole point.

The point of the first movie and the reason why Spider Gang got so attached to each other so quickly is cuz they thought they were going through all of their struggles alone until they've met. They repeat this several times in the movie.

Because what they're doing is hard and they feel like no one understands them, not really, because no one in their universes has the same powers and backstories, until they found out that there are others who went through basically the same things they were going through. And it is what brought the whole team closer, and Miles and Gwen as love interests. It's not that they're only attracted to each other because of that - Miles and Gwen even started getting along before they knew about each other's powers - but that was exactly what made them (I'm talking about the whole team now as well as M and G as a potential couple) so considerate of each other from the start.

That's the plot (or one of many plots) of the movie.

and then if i said that it hardly feels like a proper sequel/i criticise it i get people telling me im wrong bc it definitely is a sequel bc its called that and an NPC couple has a kid now? that im stupid and just hate everything jsut because?
