I'm reading a fic where Leia found out Luke's father was Vader and Luke's immediate response was to apologize to her. The way its framed you could say that he is apologizing for keeping it a secret from her, but I had initially read it as "I am sorry I am Vader's son.", "I am sorry for who my father is." And it hit so hard.

He is apologizing for something he had no control over, no knowledge of before Bespin. He is apologizing for who his fucking father is. It made me sad and angry. How the weight of Vader's identity brings him down and threatens to keep him there. How are you supposed to save the galaxy if the blood of its destroyer runs through your veins?

Okay guys hear me out, I have this one (SAD!!!) Strollonso au in my mind and I just can't stop thinking about it. I would love to write it but unfortunately it's just like I have a permanent writer's block or something. I'd still like to share it with you, because it's sad and I wanna make y'all sad!! 😼

So basically, Lance is a student at Cambridge studying Business, because he's REALLY pressured by his dad and everything.

But in one of his breaks he flies to Barcelona to distract himself. In a club he then meets Fernando, who is basically just a normal dude and a photographer (remember this, it's important).

It was only supposed to be a one-night stand but they just get obsessed with each other and they spend the rest of Lance's break together in spain and fall in love, aww.

BUT they don't talk about it, they both think that the other thinks it's just casual. And when Lance has to go back to England it's really hard for them. They call sometimes and meet every once in a while. But like I said they just don't communicate like they should; Fernando thinks that he should leave Lance behind (because of the age gap), so that the boy can enjoy his life being young. Lance on the other hand believes Fernando doesn't really want him, cause he's a bit cold (but just for the reason I named earlier).

Eventually Fernando breaks up with Lance and they're both just fucking depressed, but don't talk or see eachother.. until-

OKAY TIME SKIP

Like 7-9 years later, Lance is getting married (It doesn't really matter who it is but I was thinking checo). Lance himself is not in love at all but his dad thought it was a good fit for him and Lance never learned to stand up for himself so he has to live with the consequences.

And, well, guess who's the wedding photographer? Surprise, surprise it's Nando. Just before the ceremony starts they have a lil talk, where Nando tries to tell him to not do it if he doesn't want to. Lance comes really close to just running away with Nando, but in the end he's weaker than his father's pressure and marries someone he doesn't love.

And that's just the end; them being sad 'til the ends of their lives

sorry i have a lot i need to say about this, it was great! It was great! First of all, it was great!

THE EXPERIENCE

Such a whirlwind!!! I wish I had a perfect memory it feels like such a waste to not be able to recall everything perfectly in its entirety!!! I really hope this show gets like the recordings uploaded somewhere, (not Tucson specifically, the man was very sick, so probably not firing on all cylinders, (but he could’ve fooled me!!)) I really need to know that I can hold on to that night just a little bit longer because it was so beautiful genuinely but my mind is flawed and it lets things slip away far too quickly. And it’s not like I was just NOT paying attention I WAS. I WAS. It was just such a barrage of AMAZING stuff that I genuinely could not keep up, I wanted every moment to last forever, but time kept marching on (as it does) and by the end of the show it felt like there was a little world that existed in that theatre and nowhere else, and when it had ended and I was horribly sad to see it go, but at least I was wearing some pants. Seriously, I’m so glad I could be there that night, I think the best word to describe the experience would just be “WOW!”

He preformed …Well, Better than the Alternative during this show and i actually quite liked the part where he slipped up and sang, “everybody’s in on my goddamn business, this isn’t my first krissss it’s………… fuck. BABY COULD YOU PLAY-“ i quite liked that part like yeah. sure maybe he messed up the lyrics but he handled it like a champ and also (i just learned this) his gf’s name is Christina (Kristina?) so perhaps he was just thinking about her u ever consider that huh? oh what u hate love??? u hate ppl who r in love??? give me a fucking break…..

How i shat the bed (unimportant)

I showed up at 5:00 p.m. because I was a little VIP, and I was freaking the FREAK OUT. I was freaking out man I don’t think I’ve ever been that scared to watch someone ELSE preform before but I was like a MESS. Will Wood was very sick (physically this time) (hahahah mental illness is funny!) so I couldn’t ask him to sign what I wanted him to sign but i got a FREE tote and The New Normal CD SIGNED so whatevah whatevah!!! But, listen, I went up to Will Wood, I was right there, in the perfect position to say all the things i had rehearsed in the time leading up to the show. and i fucking i forgot to say literally anything. i dont think i even said “hi,” i had two months to prepare just ONE statement for him and i totally shat the bed BUT HE WAS EXTREMELY KIND DESPITE THIS!! HE LIKE STILL SAID “THANK YOU” IN A MANNER THAT I WOULD CONSIDER TO BE EXTREMELY GENUINE!!! AND FUCKING. I ASKED HIM ABOUT REVELATOR (cringe?) AND I FORGOT TO TELL HIM TO TELL CHRIS DUNNE THAT THE WRITING WAS GREAT BUT THATS FINE IM SURE CHRIS ALREADY KNOWS DUE TO THE EPISODE DISCUSSIONS OR THE FEEDBACK CHANNEL ON DISCORD. BUT HE WAS VERY NICE AND VERY FUNNY and in a natural way too, like, if he was forcing it then he is better at improv acting than i thought! (JOKE) no but seriously obviously a lot of stuff had gone wrong leading up to that show but at the end of the day, Will and everyone else involved did a fantastic fucking job and i really commend their ability to do such good work despite the disease. And I’m so glad I got to be in the crowd of such an awesome show!

Something I absolutly hate about the dcmk fandom is their insistance of Gosho being a bad writer.

I by no means think he is perfect, don't get me wrong. My frustrations stems more from the question of "why do you watch this show?" If you don't like the characters or their romance or think the author of those over 100 volumes is bad at writing a story ... why do you keep watching/reading?

Are the women super well written? No. But neither are the man?? And honestly, some of the most capable characters in the show are women. Ran saved Shinichi's life so often, Sato outshines any other police men to the point that Conan would never tranquilize her or is worried that she could figure it out. Jodie, while overshadowed by Akai later, was seen as an honest threat and went head to head with the Org. Ai being a reclusive genius who finally found a family in Agasa. Damn Vermouth is playing the entire organisation. Kir is pulling one dounle agent move after the other. While Sonoko isn't the most capable when it comes to detective work or fights she has the confidence of a queen and activly stands up against her parents. Kazuha takes no shit from Heiji.

I honestly like how diverse the female characters are in their dynamics with their respective partners. Kazuha being more bratty with Heiji than Ran is with Shinichi, Ran's unwavering loyalty and caring nature, Sonoko being strong headed, Sato being a boss babe. Deep character growth may not be the focus of the story, but it never was. This is a murder mystery, a classic who dunnit from the first episode and I dont feel like it changed all that much despite all the more action filled black org arcs or the developing romances. And if you don't like what Gosho is doing .... maybe stop watching?
