What if Gerard comes after Buck so relentlessly always mentioning his relationship with Tommy but Buck hides it. Eddie tells Tommy out of concern for Buck but it backfires . Tommy thinks that if they’re not together , Gerard will leave him alone so he breaks up with him.

Buck is devastated. Then there’s a terrible fire a few days later, multiple houses including the 118 and 217 are there and Tommy is working the ground . Gerard is making awful decisions and Buck is the one in danger. The captains of the 217 and 133 back the 118 in going against Gerard to save Buck .

When they get him out with minor injuries , but safe , Tommy basically tackles him into a long hug and whispers in his ear how sorry he is. He tells him the real reason he did it and that he never wants them to be apart again.

Later they have a long talk that only makes their relationship stronger.

Oh and Gerard gets fired and comes clean about Councilwoman Ortiz’s involvement, getting her fired as well.
