If you don’t mind, could you write a Asterin x Healer!Reader x Sorrel fic where reader comes over to the witch kingdom to help them rebuild, and quickly finds she has two witches who are “conveniently” always around when she needs something? Bonus points if the rest of the Thirteen keep teasing the two of them :) 🙏
hey hey love 💜 here's some witchy content for you

Raised on the Southern Continent, you began studying under Hafiza as a healer at the Torre Cesme, quickly becoming one of the best healers along with Yrene. When the war ended and Yrene sent a letter back to Hafiza asking for aid on behalf of the witch queen, Manon Blackbeak, in rebuilding her kingdom, Hafiza did not hesitate to send you.
You had dreamed of leaving the continent, exploring other lands and using your healing abilities to help others now that magic was alive again in Erilea. Overcome with nerves and excitement, you bid farewell to the world you knew and travelled to the Western Wastes.
The castle was bare yet finely built, witches at work rebuilding what had been lost. You looked around, taking in the sight of those working on the castle, practicing training drills on the lawn - when two witches strode straight towards you.
They were both striking with golden-black eyes that glittered in amusement as they watched you. The blonde spoke first, a mischievous smile on her lips as she pulled you in for a hug.
“You must be the new healer from Antica. My name is Asterin, and this is Sorrel,” she said, gesturing to the shorter brunette at her side. Sorrel reached out a hand, which you gladly accepted, shaking it as you introduced yourself to the both of them.
Weeks passed as you grew accustomed to working in the Witch Kingdom, your office constantly busy as you dealt with minor injuries, mostly from training. Rubbing your favored peppermint ointment from the Southern Continent on a young witchling’s bruised leg, a knowing smile graced your face as you heard two familiar voices echoing down the hall. You glanced up to see Asterin and Sorrel standing shyly in the doorway, a habit the both of them had developed in your short time here.
It was nearly every day, sometimes twice a day, that the beautiful pair would find themselves in your office for one reason or another. Biting back your smile, you patted the witch on your table’s knee as you dismissed her.
“Keep weight off of that leg for the next day,” you called after her, wiping the ointment on your apron as you turned your attention to Asterin and Sorrel with a smirk. “And how can I help you two today?” you teased, lounging against the counter as you unabashedly admired Asterin’s golden hair, Sorrel’s bright smile.
Asterin laughed, the sound like silver bells as she hopped up onto your exam table, swinging her legs underneath her.
“I seem to have a scratch,” Sorrel noted dryly, moving to stand across from you as she held out her arm to show you the long, shallow cut from her elbow to her wrist.
With a questioning look, you gently held her arm in your hands, enjoying the small gasp that left her lips from the small touch. “This appears to be from an iron nail. How did you manage to get a scrape like this?”
Sorrel blushed, glancing back at Asterin who waved a hand at you, long iron nails gleaming in the light. You heard a scoff from the doorway, the three of you whipping your heads to see Vesta leaning against frame.
“The two of you could not be more obvious,” Vesta teased, a smirk playing on her full lips. A spool of bandages flew towards the red-haired witch, her quickly batting it away with a laugh before she winked at you and disappeared.
Bending down to pick up the roll of gauzes from the floor, you prayed your blush wasn’t too obvious before turning back to Sorrel. The scrape was so thin that you could have healed it without blinking an eye, but you held onto Sorrel’s arm for longer than needed as you made small talk with her and Asterin, enjoying their company.
A knock on the door interrupted the conversation, a tall witch clutching a dagger in her side needing your attention. Regretfully, Asterin and Sorrel left, and your heart sank slightly as the room seemed to grow dimmer without their presence.
The next day, you were drawn from your paperwork as Sorrel led Asterin into your office, where they took their usual seats and began chatting with you about politics, training, and everything else happening in the kingdom.
In a moment of silence, Asterin elbowed Sorrel in the side, earning a laugh from you as the brunette blushed under your gaze. Eyes flicking between Asterin and you, Sorrel pulled out a small box.
“We - uh, we got something for you... From the both of us,” she murmured, holding out the box for you to take. A movement from the hall caught your eye, and you glancing over to see Manon giving you an encouraging smile before disappearing around the corner.
You tugged at the twine that held the lid shut, looking up to see Asterin and Sorrel both watching you with anxious eyes. Opening up the box lid, you gasped as you held up a vial of your favorite peppermint ointment.
“How did you two get this? I’d just run out this morning,” you breathed, overwhelmed by their kindness. This oil was difficult to come by in Antica, much less this far west.
Asterin beamed with pride, her bright smile lighting up the room. “Sorrel noticed you were running low awhile back. Let’s just say we know some people who were able to help us get some more for you.”
Rushing forward, you pulled the both of them into a hug. “Thank you, you have no idea how much this means to me,” you whispered, pulling the cork on the vial as you inhaled the peppermint, a sigh leaving your lips as you were transported home by the scent.
You put the stopper back in, wrapping up the oil carefully before stowing it in your cabinet. You turned to see bashful grins on the witches’ faces, and an idea came to you.
“Well, since the two of you went through all of that trouble for me, the least I could do is make you both dinner. Are you free tonight?”
They glanced at each other in silent communication before turning back to you and nodding. “We would love that... But how do you feel about taking that dinner to go?” Asterin questioned, a playful smile on her face as she leaned in closer towards you. You nodded eagerly, excited for whatever they had planned.
A couple hours later, you found yourself taking a picnic basket with food and wine down to the warrens, Sorrel leading you to where Asterin stood with her wyvern. “Let’s fly,” she said, making a sweeping gesture as the blonde helped you up onto the beast’s saddle.
As Asterin settled in behind you, Sorrel took the picnic basket, placing it in the saddlebag of her wyvern as she strapped into her own saddle. “Hold on tight,” Asterin whispered in your ear, a slight kick of her heel the signal as you shot into the skies, pink and orange sunset hues casting a glow as you soared over fields, Sorrel close by. Closing your eyes with a content sigh, you realized you could get used to living here.

manon blackbeak was eager to come back. she has been hunting crochans for weeks and finally, she reached a cottage in the north of fenharrow and now, she was prepared for blood. hiding in the closet, she listened to the three men that had broken in.
she heard them open the door to the room.
“come out, little crochan,” one of them said.
with their backs to the closet, manon slipped out  and quietly closed the bedroom door.
“wrong kind of witch.”
✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼✼
the moon was up in the sky when ayla moonsinger approached the cliff where a certain moon-white haired witch was waiting. she looked how her hair danced with the wind and by the pose, she knew manon was enjoying the wind. knew there were few sounds she enjoyed more than the groans of dying men, but the wind was one of them.
step by step, she got closer to her figure until her arms were hugging manons waist, feeling them a smile appeared on her face, one that never allowed to show in front of the matron
or anyone except for the thirteen. her coven. she twisted around to face ayla and took her face between her hands.
hazel eyes and golden eyes looked at each other. looked into their souls.
“hello witchling” manon purred.
ayla leaned her forehead until they were touching. manon was the first one who initiated the kiss. their hands explored each other's bodies while their mouths were a mix of teeth, lips and tongues. ayla was the first one who broke the kiss first, caressing her cheek, manon left kisses on her neck making ayla laugh with delightment.
“manon, your grandmother is coming here soon
”
“let me feel you, i haven't seen you in months”
“i know
 i missed you too”
a low whistle sounded from behind and manon snarled, ayla turned around and found asterin leaned on a tree, a smirk displayed on her beautiful face and her braid falled down her shoulder.
“calm down you wolf, it's only asterin.”
manon rolled her eyes and left a kiss on her cheek. if asterin was here that meant the rest of the coven was also here
and the blackbeak matron would be here anytime soon.
they were all positioned when the matron arrived. voluminous midnight robes flowed around her with the wind. the memories flooded her mind like it was yesterday.
her parents dead. her screaming. the matron slapping her face. “you’re coming with me”. her first day, week, month, year. the anniversary of their parents. the old houses of terrasen honoring her house, honoring the last member of the family
her. her first crochan. her first kill.
she hated her. hated the way she was and the way she treated everyone, specially manon and the thirteen. and she hated how she needed to act to survive. because that was not what she learned, she wasnt that way. she wasn't cold hearted, she wasn't cruel. there wasn't a day in which she didn't regret the person she was sometimes. what would my parents think about me?  she usually asked herself, and in the long nights where she was hunting, in the nights she couldn't sleep next to her mate, she looked to the stars and searched for the lord of the north and mourned a family, a city, long forgotten.
two hours passed until the matron got out of the caravan where she had talked with a duke.  “we are leaving now,” the matron said. manon jerked her chin to the thirteen and they fell in line, ayla between asterin and sorrel. “you two will protect her with your life, is that clear?” and that was 100 years ago. a lifetime now that the magic was gone.
ayla watched manon and her grandmother talk. about what? she didn't want to hear it.
when the matron was gone, ayla and the thirteen approached manon, the first one caressing her lovers back.
“apparently, the king needs riders. wyvern riders for his cavalry” her smile was wicked “we are traveling north”

After Flight
Manon Blackbeak x f!Reader
A/n: not sure how I feel about this one but I love Manon so here’s this lol. This is post KoA and the thirteen are here bc I’m in denial 😁
Warnings: none besides some nudity
The sound of beating wings draws your attention away from the book you’ve been engrossed in for the afternoon. It’s been so long that the sun has started setting.
From your spot on the plush armchair facing the floor-to-ceiling windows in the library of the Witch Castle, you spot your fiancé, Manon, flying at the front of the Thirteen. Her long white braid catches in the orange-pink glow of the setting sun as Abraxos dives towards the aerie.
Smiling to yourself, you twist the onyx and diamond ring on your finger. It’s been a little over a year since Maeve and Erawan were defeated. When Manon lead the witches back to their home in the Wastes, you were so happy to watch her thrive as the queen she was always meant to be. Life was good and slowly getting back to some semblance of normal. After months of getting the new kingdom in order Manon proposed and the two of you have never been happier.
You put down the book on the footrest in front of you, stand, and head for the large double oak doors to head to your chambers. Manon should be back in your rooms soon if the Thirteen are landing now.
Opening the door you’re surprised to see Manon already in the sitting area pacing in front of Asterin and Sorrel. You can tell by her tense shoulders today’s flying exercise was not a pleasant one.
Her second and third in command spot you before Manon does, still busy tearing into the poor witches. Asterin clears her throat, “What,” Manon growls. Sorrel nods her head in your direction and Manon whips her head towards you, face softening instantly, “Y/n. I thought you had gone down to the dining room, my love.”
Even though Manon has come a long way from her heart-of-ice personality it’s rare she lets her soft spot for you show it in front of others.
“I wanted to see you before dinner. I’m sorry did I interrupt something?” You start to shy away from the witches. “No,” Manon answers quickly. Asterin and Sorrel take that as their dismissal. As the two witches pass you they give you a quick nod and Asterin shoots you a wink, closing the door behind her.
Manon lets out a sigh and rolls her shoulders, like a weight has just tumbled off of them. You walk over to her, pulling her into an embrace wrapping your arms around her waist, and laying the side of your face on her chest. You can hear her heartbeat slowing down as she wraps her arms around your shoulders.
“I missed you today, sweet girl.” Manon leans down and kisses the top of your head. “I missed you too, my love.” Loosening your grip around her waist you lean back to stare up into her striking, burnt gold eyes. Usually they are full of love but, right now they’re hiding anger and stress. You never want to see them or her like that. It breaks your heart because you know she’ll never let you take care of her like she takes care of me.
“What’s wrong Manon?” You ask my voice full of concern for the Witch Queen. “Nothing y/n.” You look at her with disbelief.
“You know better than to brush something off. Tell me Manon it’s ok.” She sighs again rolling out her neck causing her moon-white braid to fall off her shoulder. “Today’s flying exercise didn’t go how I wanted it to. It wasn’t us, the Thirteen felt
off and it got to me.” Manon leaned her head down resting her forehead against mine and closed her eyes. You start rubbing slow circles on her lower back, “Oh Manon, I’m sorry baby. You’ve been working nonstop for months. Please let me take care of you tonight.”
You don’t wait for her answer as you grab her hand and lead her into the bathing room. After turning the tub faucet on you throw in some floral-scented bubble bath as the massive porcelain, clawfoot tub fills. You turn around seeing Manon leaning against the counter. She looks apprehensive like she’s debating on letting you take care of her or not. “You don’t have to do this y/n.”
Silently you step toward her reaching for her hands. “It’s not a bad thing to be taken care of once in a while. Being taken care of doesn’t make you weak, if anything it helps you become stronger. You can’t keep going until something snaps. You need breaks in between the strong moments so you can keep going.”
Silver starts to line her eyes but she blinks it back. Manon smiles at you and nods her head. You smile back, “Let’s get you out of those leathers, yeah?” Manon steps away from the counter and turns so you can undo the ties of her leathers.
Manon pads over to the tub and sinks into the water up to her shoulders. The Witch Queen leans back, closing her eyes. A little moan leaves her throat as she settles in. Your cheeks heat up from the noise she makes. You go to pick up her leathers when a wet hand grasps yours. “Aren’t you going to get in with me, my love?” Quickly contemplating, you nod and strip. Leaving your dress on the floor with her leathers.
You motion for Manon to move forward as you get in. You wrap your arms around her shoulders and pull her flush to your chest.
Leaving a few pecks on her neck and cheeks you reach for the soap to start washing her. You move on to her hair, massaging the lather on Manon’s scalp. Once she’s all rinsed, you take her hand guiding her out of the tub.
After wrapping a towel around yourself and holding one out for Manon. She reaches out for it, “Nope,” I say, “I’m not done taking care of you.” She breathes out of her nose but lets me dry her off, wrapping the towel around her.
“How are you feeling?” You ask as Manon slumps down on the pillows on your bed, angling her body towards mine. “Better. Thank you y/n.” You run my fingers through her damp hair and kiss her forehead.

New Beginnings
Vesta Blackbeak x Reader
Tumblr media
Hopping from your redwood broom, you landed on the grass outside of the warrens with a thud. Heads turned, Ironteeth witches looking on with a combination of admiration and jealousy at your flying abilities. With a flip of your hair, you sent the group a wink as you walked towards the armory where you stored your brooms.
A flash of red hair caught your eye, and you glanced sidelong with a knowing smirk at the witch whose golden eyes were locked on you. Vesta’s usual arrogance was absent, her pale cheeks slightly flushed as she tracked the sway of your hips.
With a small wave of your fingers in her direction, you released a small laugh as Vesta’s blush deepened, her friends quickly taking note as they snickered at her reaction to you.
Entering the armory, you set your broom alongside the others, turning as you heard a familiar voice call your name. Manon strode through the door, eyes alight with an amusement you rarely saw from her.
“There is a group of witches going into town for drinks tonight. Several Ironteeth will be going, and I would appreciate your help in convincing Crochan witches - including yourself - to go, as I know the influence you have with them.” You had developed a loose friendship with Manon since she came into her role as Queen, assisting her with the unification of Ironteeth and Crochan clans. She often came to you with requests like these, and you were more than willing to help her in her efforts.
“Of course. I will speak to some of the others, and see who I can convince to go,” you confirmed, nodding respectfully to your Queen.
Manon gave you a grateful smile, nodding her head slightly in thanks. “I am appreciative, as always. As are Asterin, Sorrel, and Vesta...” Manon’s eyes assessed you, lips twitching upward as she tracked the faint blush that dusted your cheeks at Vesta’s name. “They will all be there tonight as well,” the Queen added, golden eyes shimmering with delight as she turned and walked out the door.
Swallowing nervously, you made your way to your quarters to recruit a group to go out this evening. A surprising number of witches agreed, everyone seemingly eager to let loose and enjoy the night.
The moment you stepped into the tavern that evening, you could feel her eyes on you. Red hair shone like a bright flame as Vesta watched you from where she leaned against the bar, half-interested in her conversation with Sorrel.
Her keen focus - eyes raking over your figure as you removed the cape from your shoulders - granted you the boldness to approach her. As you reached the spot where she perched, you ordered a drink from the barkeep and turned to face her. This close, it was impossible to ignore her beauty, the disarming smile she gave you.
“Are you listening?” a swat to Vesta’s arm drew both of you from the moment, turning to see Sorrel staring at her before the dark-haired witch noticed you with a smirk. Her eyes flicked back to Vesta, grin deepening to reveal dimples on her cheeks. “Ah, I see you have found a more interesting conversation partner,” Sorrel snickered, grabbing her drink from the counter before spotting a table full of witches and striding towards them.
Vesta peered at you cautiously, that same blush from earlier brightening her alabaster skin somehow making her appear even more beautiful. With a nod of thanks to the bartender, you picked up your drink. “Cheers, to the Ironteeth-Crochan witches,” you murmured, admiring Vesta’s full lips as they spread into a smile.
“Cheers, to new beginnings,” she murmured, taking a sip of her drink before glancing around the room. Her eyes stopped on a side door before flicking to yours, holding out her hand in invitation. Butterflies erupted in your stomach as you accepted her hand, fingers interlocking with hers as you let the beautiful witch guide you outside.
Dim lights twinkled on a chilly side street, the area empty with the exception of a few chairs that were left against the wall. “Here,” you gestured to the chairs, pulling two of them up next to each other as you took a seat.
Conversation with Vesta came easy, her charming demeanor quelling any reservations you had. You had lost track of how long the conversation went on, time only told by the emptiness of your drink glasses as you set them on the ground.
A cold wind blew through, sending a chill through you that made you wish you’d left your cloak on earlier. Noticing your discomfort, Vesta opened up her own cloak, scooting her chair until the wooden seat clacked against your own. “Here, I’ll keep you warm,” she whispered, shockingly tender as she awaited your reaction.
With a goofy grin, you saddled up next to her, savoring her warmth and the smell of cinnamon as she wrapped her cloak around the both of you. The vibration from her chest as she spoke comforted you as conversation continued, lulling you into her cozy hold.
You had somehow ended up in her lap, legs draped over hers as you lay half-asleep in Vesta’s arms. The door swung open, slightly stirring you before Vesta hissed at the intruders, pressing a kiss to your hair as she whispered for you to go back to sleep.
Asterin and Sorrel were bent over in silent laughter at the sight while Vesta glared back. Manon simply smiled on, satisfaction in her eyes as she teased, “Vesta Blackbeak, man-eater and Crochan-cuddler.” Asterin and Sorrel laughed louder at that, rousing you from your sleepy state with a yawn as you looked up to see them all standing around you.
Blushing sheepishly at Manon, you greeted the Witch Queen, who greeted you back before shoving her giggling friends through the door, leaving you alone with Vesta.
“Your friends are very amused by us,” you noted quietly.
Vesta swallowed nervously. “They’ve... I am not usually this affectionate,” she admitted slowly.
Sitting up, you moved to straddle her lap as your hands threaded through her fiery hair. Her warm chest brushed yours as you pulled her impossibly close. “Neither am I, but here’s to new beginnings,” you whispered, lips brushing hers as you pulled her in for a kiss.

i have this prompt involving elide pinning on reader for quite some time but not making a move until she panics at this gathering when she sees another girl flirting heavily with reader, and so elide ruins completely her efforts to make out with reader and steals her attention at last
could you make it a bit smutty if possible?
(and sorry that came out a bubbling mess)
an Elide request!! ahh thank you, honey💜 this is some angst/mutual pining, fluff and a lil smut for ya
Solstice Confessions
Elide x fem!Reader
Warnings: lil bit of smut, suggestive
Tumblr media
From the moment you met Elide back at Morath, you were enraptured by her. She was strikingly beautiful, and kind to everyone - a refreshing change from the cutthroat culture among the witch clans.
When everyone returned to the Witch Kingdom to reclaim the land, Elide joined the Ironteeth clan. You had hoped that the stunning witchling would notice you, but anytime you tried speaking to her, she would be flustered and avoid conversation. It hurt to feel like you made her uncomfortable, so after awhile you gave up on your efforts in pursuing anything beyond a cordial friendship with her.
The Yulemas ball proved to be the best occasion for getting over your feelings for Elide. All of the witches gathered on the longest night of the year, performing rituals and having a grand celebration for the start of winter. You had a dress made, sheer with delicate pearl-white stitching that resembled new-fallen snow that made you look like an ice queen.
With a newfound confidence, you entered the ballroom, scanning the crowd for people you knew. Your breath hitched when Elide’s black eyes caught yours across the room - the fitted red dress that accented her curves and made her dark features pop difficult to ignore. Her cheeks flushed, Elide turning quickly back to her conversation with Asterin.
You pushed aside the ache in your chest at the interaction, swiping wine from a tray as you set off to distract yourself. As if on cue, the orchestra struck up a merry tune, and you found yourself content to lean back against a pillar as you listened to the music. “I love this song,” a sultry voice sounded from next to you.
Looking over your shoulder, your eyes roved over the tall, graceful Blueblood witch approaching you. She was objectively beautiful, donning a gold dress that offset her russet skin, her dark braided hair adorned with gold accents that made her look like a goddess. You were genuinely shocked that you hadn’t noticed her before. “I do, I really love any music. It’s a magic of its own, in my opinion,” you admitted.
The beautiful witch moved to lean against the pillar next to you, watching you with a keen interest that made your stomach flutter. It was a nice reprieve, to be able to casually flirt with a stunning stranger. Your heartbeat faltered when she brought a hand to your cheek, her golden brown eyes flicking to your lips. “Beautiful,” she murmured, leaning into you - only to fly backwards out of your reach.
Elide stood there, one hand on the witch where she had dragged her out of your arms. With a shove, Elide sent her scrambling back, Manon stepping in between them before things could escalate. You whipped your head to face Elide, rage burning in your eyes. “What the Hel was that?”
The room was silent, and you looked around to see everyone watching the scene unfold between you and Elide. Manon gave you both a look that promised pain if you continued, so Elide grabbed your hand, dragging you out into the hall. Once you were alone, you ripped your hand from Elide’s. “What were you thinking, attacking a witch like that? Elide, you could have been killed. Why would you do that?”
Her big, black eyes filled with tears as she fumbled for words, rosy cheeks flushed with embarrassment. “I... I just-“ she paused, taking a deep breath before the next words poured out of her. “I couldn’t see you with her. I am sorry and I know that you don’t feel the same way but it’s so hard to see you and-“
Gently prying her hands from her eyes, you wiped away her tears. “What do you mean you think I ‘don’t feel the same way,’ Elide? I’ve been trying to get over my feelings for you for so long because I thought you weren’t interested.”
She choked on a laugh, black hair falling around her shoulders as she gave you a wry smile. “I’ve been so intimidated by you, I freeze up whenever you are around. I think you’re the most beautiful person I have ever met, and so kind, and the way you light up a room-“
Releasing her hands, you threaded your fingers in her long hair, cutting off her sentence, bringing her lips to yours. You kissed her softly, a tender display of your feelings, but Elide was hungry for your touch. She pulled you into her with surprising strength, her tongue swiping your bottom lip for permission as you eagerly opened for her. A moan escape you as her hand slid around to squeeze your backside, Elide giggling into the kiss at your reaction.
You pulled back, wild-eyed as you searched her gaze to find Elide just as desperate for you as you were for her. Spotting a closet door down the hall, you smirked as you grabbed Elide’s hand, the both of you laughing as you slipped inside the closet, wasting no time as you pawed at the straps of her dress.
When you eventually returned to the party, faces turned towards the both of you. Manon rolled her eyes as Sorrel snickered, and you caught your reflection in the mirror to see both you and Elide’s lipsticks smudged, hair in a mess. Elide leaned in, whispering in your ear, “maybe we should call it a night, head back up to my room?”
You grinned and nodded. “I’ll swipe some drinks and desserts and meet you there.”

Keeping Secrets
Asterin x Reader
Tumblr media
You stood in your wyvern’s stall at the warrens - a light smack on your ass turning your attention away from him, towards a head of golden blonde hair that flowed by as Asterin gave you a wink. The two of you had been seeing each other for months, keeping the relationship secret because she was your commanding officer.
The excitement of sneaking around was starting to wane as the relationship became more serious. You were no longer satisfied by pulling Asterin into the nearest closet for time alone - you wanted everyone to know that she was yours.
Later that afternoon before dinner, Asterin pulled you into her room, and you took it as the perfect opportunity to tell her how you felt. This was more than a fling, and it was time to tell your coven members. You opened your mouth to speak, but Asterin spoke first, and that was when you realized how nervous she was - her eyes were searching your expression, hands flexing at her sides as she spoke. “I’ve been thinking...” Asterin paused, taking a deep breath. Your own heart started racing, not sure what she was about to say.
“Ster, what is it?” you whispered, grabbing her hands in yours, dragging her gaze back to yours. She smiled softly at your gesture, squeezing your hands in hers. “I don’t want to be a secret anymore,” she blurted out. “I want to tell the others that we’re together, I want everyone to know that I’m yours and you are mine. I want to be with you. Really be with you.”
A soft laugh bubbled out of you, happy tears pricking your eyes as you pulled Asterin close, leaning your forehead against hers. “I love you, Ster.” Her eyes widened at your admission - it was the first time you had said that to her. Her hands threaded through your hair as she smiled, whispering back, “I love you, too.” You weren’t sure who moved first, but your lips brushed hers, softly at first before the kiss grew heated - both of you suddenly hungry and desperate to be as close to each other as possible.
The door swung open - you and Asterin jumping apart as Sorrel stood in the doorframe, a bored look on her face. Rolling her eyes, she gestured for you to follow. “Come on you two, you’re late for dinner.” You trailed Sorrel down the hall, exchanging nervous glances with Asterin as you entered the dining room.
Sorrel took her seat at the table, but Asterin took your hand, keeping you by her side. You whispered to her, “you sure you’re ready to do this?” She nodded enthusiastically. “I’m sure.” With that, the two of you turned to face the table of witches.
Asterin cleared her throat, gathering everyone’s attention. “Good evening, everyone. We have an announcement to make.” Holding up your joined hands, Asterin continued, “we are in a relationship. We have been for awhile now, and decided that it was time to share that with all of you.”
You anxiously turned towards where Manon lounged in her chair - an amused grin on her face, eyebrow cocked in interest. “Why are you just now announcing this?” she asked with a slight laugh. You stepped in this time. “Because, I love Asterin and wanted you to know that we’re together. I’m sorry we kept it from all of you for so long.”
Sorrel snorted for where she sat, Manon’s eyes flicking to her as she bit back a laugh of her own. Sorrel turned to you. “You thought we didn’t already know?” she asked incredulously. Your face dropped and you turned to Asterin to see her flushed with embarrassment, an equal look of shock on her face. “You knew? Since when?”
Sorrel rolled her eyes. “Since you first hooked up on Solstice. Did you two actually think you were being subtle?” You both stood there, speechless as you nodded awkwardly.
Manon ran a hand through her hair, sighing and shaking her head. “Sit down, both of you. Thank the gods we haven’t assigned you any undercover spy work. You’re about as subtle as a herd of ruks.”
Sliding into your seat, both you and Asterin blushed sheepishly at the comment, keeping her hand in yours for comfort. Sorrel leaned over to look at you. “We’re happy for you both, by the way.” Manon and the others nodded, and your heart swelled as Asterin leaned in to kiss your cheek.
