Appare-Ranman deveria ser mais reconhecido, pensa em um anime bom!

Assisti na época que estava lançando, parecia divertido e fui dar uma chance, geralmente eu faço o teste de 3 eps pra saber se continuo ou não.

Esse foi um achado!! O anime te diverte do começo ao fim, toda a aventura da corrida não te deixa entediado e a comédia é ótima, as interações entre os personagens principais são muito engraçadas. Além de uma animação fluída.

MAS....... tmb temos plot twists e cenas emocionantes!!!! Do jeitinho que eu gosto!!!! Kkkkkkkkkk

Sinopse : A história se passa no final do século XIX e às vésperas do próximo. Após um certo acidente, o engenheiro brilhante, mas socialmente inepto, Sorano Appare e o samurai astuto mas covarde Isshiki Kosame se vêem à deriva em um barco do Japão para a América. Quebrados, os dois decidem competir na Trans-America Wild Race para ganhar o prêmio e voltar ao Japão.

I've seen John in ONE poll but I haven't seen Gary at all. Gary is the main antagonist in the games and is a normal human being just like you and me. Actually he's a demon, and trying to summon the antichrist. He can also summon spiders! Over and over again. And remember, Gary loves you!

The most autistic coded character without it being said he’s autistic, he follows his own ambitions and dreams to one day get to the stars, he fully immersed himself in building whatever he’s working on, and his friends end up depending on him for his quirks and differences in the end rather than trying to fix him!

This, so much this. Everything from the first really important thing he has to say to Kosame "I've had people try to get me to bow to them, but you're the first to bow to me, I don't understand this," to his last (confession?) to him that he still has trouble articulating his feelings, but that Kosame never, ever forced him to is just so wonderful. Appare grows, but that growth isn't at the expense of a big part of who he is at the core of his being-- the person the writers set him out to be in the first place. The small things too, like how he gets used to a certain amount of physical contact from the others (notably Al) as time goes on-- in receiving and giving it is *chef's kiss* pitch perfect.

You can say that every character in the show goes through that kind of growth (and in how Gil can't-- the world is changing and he wants to keep it where it is) but it's important in Appare specifically because of how spectrum-coded he is. (Especially, especially if you ship them, and boy howdy do people ever, which is also a Big Deal in the sense that it shows people on the spectrum have always been capable of feeling and being in love.)

And that's not even touching on the little moments that show how Appare grows comfortable receiving and giving physical affection.

He really, truly is by design or not, such a great autistic character.

I think I’ve realized what my favorite thing about Appare-Ranman! is: they have a (very clearly) autistic coded character than isn’t “fixed” by the end of the show by having them unlearn their logical thinking and other traits, however they do show the growth of learning that emotions, even if you can’t make reason for them, are okay to feel and express.

And instead of the other characters forcing Appare to change because they find his actions/way of thinking strange/cumbersome/etc., they grow used to it, learn how to live around it, and even grow to enjoy and rely on him for it as well.

It just makes me really happy to see representation, even if not really stated, shown so well through a character and it not being treated as a flaw or something that needed to be fixed.

The Sesshomaru and Irene kiddos designs are completed!

Hooooohhhhh... 'kay. Sorano is the eldest, Hikaru and Akane are twins, and then you have Airi. I wanted to get these four's designs down just in case I decide to attempt that massive drawing I posted a sketch of the other day.

Sesshomaru gets a new haori to match Irene's kimono. :3 He misses his wife. T_T

I don't remember what it was I was doing, but my brain suddenly was like, "Oh. What if Tatsunori had like a little pond inside his old shrine, and Kai and Ayumu (the Shikigami koi) are circling around Irene while she sleeps? And then Mayonaka yanks her out of it during the battle with Sora..." and it was such an image I needed to draw it, so I added it in with Sora's outfits. I imagine Sess visits Irene at the start and end of each month while he's hunting down Mayonaka.

Also, everyone except Airi and Akane (apparently) are getting the butterflies because Mayonaka is a moth and the Butterfly vs Moth imagery is very amusing to me. Hikaru's butterflies are very subtle. They're under his haori.

OH WAIT MAYBE AKANE'S FAMILIAR IS A BUTTERFLY SPIRIT/YOKAI. Haha, there we go. Problem solved. Airi probably wears a butterfly kimono at some point. OR BUTTERFLY PAJAMAS.

Minamo Sorano/Princess Ripple (CV: Azusa Aoi) is a reserved yet strong willed girl who likes to support those who are doing their best. The sweets making skills her mother taught her are pretty good

Kagari Shirube/Princess Zeal (CV: Yuri Fujimoto) is a second year middle school student in the real world, but in Alicepia she's a diva who attracts everyone's attention with her singing and dancing. She also apparently has a sweet tooth

Nagase Ichijou/Princess Meteor (CV: Azusa Tachibana) is Minamo and Kagari's junior and a newcomer to Alicepia. She's the type that follows her gut and her tendency to act without really thinking things through is a bit of a flaw of hers

They also added a keyword page to the official site. So far it only has three but they will be adding more. I will be combining these.

Alicepia is a wonderland of sorts that is connected to the real world by a site called Alicepia ch. To adults and boys, the site is just a regular video sharing site, but girls can play a video titled "Entrance" to travel to Alicepia. Before the internet, they could use the likes of the doors of derelict buildings and abandoned tunnels to reach it.

Its residents, the Alicepians, come in various shapes and sizes. They love the "fun things" that human girls come up with and allow them to use the different facilities they run such as studios, libraries, concert venues, etc. They unfortunately cannot travel to the real world.

Side note:

I don't believe it's been mentioned in the tag yet, but Yuri Fujimoto said in a video that there would be "fighting while singing" and ANN claims that it was said at AX they would have new recordings of the songs for each fight.

I can't find other sources to back up that second claim, but considering it's the same thing Symphogear did for its fights and both of its creators are the creator and executive producer of this show, I would not be surprised if it's true

Fairy Tail Characters Ethnicity HCs

I don’t have as much extensive proof as I do for my Erik headcanons post but I will explain my thoughts for why I think certain ethnicities.

Natsu Dragneel : Japanese + Greek? (Because of the clothing style in his past flashback with his biological family)

Erza Scarlet : British + ? - I say British because she reminds me of Lara Croft who in her older days had reddish hair, also English history is big on knights, which Erza is. The other half I can’t tell as I don’t actually know what to think of her father Rung as. He seems like a POC though. (Maybe Mexican?)

Lucy Heartfilia : British / American - Because Lucy’s heritage as a noble it reminds me more of English nobility, but then her characteristics remind me more of american for some reason (it doesn’t help that Lucy looks a lot like Ashley Graham from the original RE4 and she’s American so I am kind of biased there)

Gray Fullbuster : Canada or Serbia (I think that’s mainly because I am making the link of cold countries though). Also if with Serbian I can see Ultear and him coming from similar places)

Gajeel Redfox : Native American (His hair and features remind me of Native Americans and I don’t know he kind of reminds me and looks like of Ratohnhake:ton / Connor from AC3) Juvia Lockser : Spanish + Russian (Spanish as the name Juvia is Spanish origin and Russian since the ushanka she wears and her clothing style in general)

Jellal Fernandes : Mixed ethnic - Mixed Arab (mainly Levantine Arab) + Brazilian, but then in my HCs he’s also part Desi too since the name Jellal is most prominent in India (And I want Erik to have a desi bro in CS). And the Arab/South asian idea came from him wearing Kohl/Surma in S1 in the anime. 

Ultear Milkovich : Serbian with mixed Central Asian or Kazakh (Again cold countries but since Ultear looks Eurasian but with dark features these countries came to mind. Serbia because apparently the name Milkovich is Serbian origin)

Macbeth/Midnight :  English w/Scottish + Irish + Japanese - English/Scottish/Irish is a given since his name ‘Macbeth’ but since his aesthetic is alike to Visual Kei, I see Japanese influence. But I don’t know, I just can see Macbeth with a british accent, maybe that’s just me.

Sorano Aguria : French and Korean/Japanese (I don’t know why I have the French, it just fits me when discussing with my friend @acutemushroom. Korean/Japanese because despite having a Japanese name (her and Yukino) due to her features she gave me kind of Korean vibes for some reason)

Sawyer : English (I can’t explain other than the name. But I thought of Romanian too for some reason, so English + Romanian?)

Richard Buchanan : South African + Scottish? (My only thought for this was because Buchanan I knew it as a last name big in South Africa, and Scottish is probably because of the red hair and ruddy complexion that I know scottish people can have)

Meredy : Irish (I don’t know why, it was hard to think of anything for her)

Kinana : Desi (Since the name Kinana is an urdu name apparently - So Pakistani) 

Cana Alberona : Irish + Italian (Guildarts gave me tanned Irish vibes for some reason and Alberona is I believe an Italian name)

Minerva Orland : Chinese + Latina (She wears a Cheongsam and her hair reminds me of Chinese culture but then I see Latina too) BUT, maybe she has Egyptian too and Italian since Minerva (Italian/Latin) but the blue eyeliner/eyeshadow she always has is alike to Malachite powder that was used by ancient egyptians 

Laxus Dreyar : Ukrainian + Russian (He gives me eastern europe vibes and also his features) but also since he's Makarov’s grandson he’d have Russian in him 

Makarov Dreyar : Russian - (I think his full name is of Russian origin but I can't be sure.) These are the HCs I have off the top of my head, hope this answers your question!
