Ok so a couple thoughts on the USA and just other big teams that got knocked out.

Definitely not what we expected from the US but why did we expect that? Think about it, this a young team where most of the starters and subs were all at there first World Cup. I think this needed to happen to the US. they needed to not be the best anymore and for the next couple years just completely start over. The old generation is starting to leave so it's time to get a clean slate with these new young players. Basically, restart the program. Morgan, Rapinoe, Ertz, and O'hara are among those who are probably done. There were some amazing younger players that shined this tournament (Naomi Girma, Emily Fox, even Sophia Smith though not as well as expected). Its good for the US to just restart with a new team and a new coach *cough cough fire Vlatko. This team needs to spend more time on the field together. Remember Japan won in 2011 and the US came back with 2 world cup wins in a row, so I'm guessing in 4 years when these players are a little more experienced and have played with each other more they will be a really good team.

Now, my point that they need a fresh start with young players and a new manager is exactly what some teams have already done or need to do as well. Take England. They brought in Sarina a new manager and she just completely did the team over. Leah williamson as the new captain, Beth Mead on the squad, younger players like Russo, Toone and LJ getting minutes and shining. And then they won the Euros. See I think the US certainly have the talent they just need to build off of it.

Ok so Canada. I think same thing. Sinclair and Schmidt and Chapman are all probably on the way out. Now we got younger players, Huitema, Olivia Smith, Riviere, Grosso. I like Bev priestmann a lot, but I think if we want to see a new Canada team that utilizes the young and up and coming players we might need a new coach. Definitely a disappointment of a world cup from canada.

Germany and Brazil are pretty much the same. Brazil is losing one of the best players of all time, someone who has been the centre of that team for like 2 decades. They have such amazing players, Geyse being the young player that comes to my mind. Piano Sundhage I'm thinking is gone. and now it's just about again, getting the younger players time to shine alongside each other. And Germany. Oh Germany. Again, they have such amazing young players, Obi (who is arguably the best young player in the world rn), Brand, and Sydney Lohmann. I don't want to say Popp will retire because let's be honest that woman could play forever. But, the old generation is on it's way out and the new generation has to be shown the same kind of love. When you have such amazing young talent you have to take the future seriously and not just try to hold onto the past. I think that goes for all the team aforementioned.

You can watch the team work to implement their new style in real time. Jane Campbell #3 gk for the uswnt as of late won goalkeeper of the year last year. Lost a lot of players to free agency and is rebuilding with rookies, trades, and transfers. somehow both the straightest team and the gayest team at the same time.

Head coach Juan Carlos Amaros won coach of the year last year and the team won the championship. They have struggled with injuries this year and scoring more than one goal in a game.

Portland thorns: if you like soccer dynasties. traditionally one of the most successful teams in the nwsl with a lot of local support, the h th orbs struggled in the first few games with their worst start to the season ever. Following the firing of their head coach, the team has won 6 in a row in interim hc rob gale. Has a lot of strong attacking talent but is vulnerable on defense. The home field is turf.

Racing Louisville: if you want to watch a team turn around. a team that has struggled historically has put together a solid team in the offseason under new head coach bev yanez. Got some very good rookies in the draft and is off to a decent start.

Born with the world on a silver platter in the Kensington England, Will Meyers was born via surrogate to an older, wealthy baron couple. His father, a business tycoon with a ruthlessness that could rival Robert Moses - it was the unspoken rule of their family that the Meyers dynasty would fall to William when the time was right. They moved to Los Angeles when Will was eleven, as his father decided that all business would filter through the City of Angels. It could have been easy to fall into the loneliness of his family; raised by nannies, without parental supervision - but Will knew how to make the best of most situations. Creating lasting friendships wherever he went, for better or for worse. 

As he grew taller, Will had to bear witness to his angry father berating his mother on a daily basis. While it didn’t always turn to physical alterations, there was an air of tension that surrounded every quiet dinner, that one thing could cause an uproar. The move from England to California took an even heavier strain on the family, with his mother being apart from her own family. It wasn’t until William was 15 years old that his father became violent with him. After bringing home an “C” on his report card, his father smashed a bottle at him and gave him with a black eye. The trend continued for many years, leaving him a disgruntled and overall, damaged teenager who knew better than to taunt his father. All he wanted was approval, but something deep inside him knew that he was never going to get it. 

His schooling was filled with small rebellions. Whatever he could do to avoid being at home, Will would. He attended parties, mostly for the elite party favors that his classmates could provide. It was from an early age that Will learnt that his life felt so much better when he was strung out. He got through most of his studying abusing Adderall, while on the weekends, he’d try whatever was floating around. Keeping up appearances was all that mattered to his father so Will knew that whatever he did, needed to be in private. 

After graduation, William got accepted to his father’s alma mater with his somewhat average grades and a large donation from his father. He studied business, as though there was anything else that was acceptable to the Meyer’s patriarch. Eventually getting his MBA at Harvard Business School where he was set up with another high society families daughter to court. Their relationship was another business transaction that Will knew he had to see through, even if it didn’t make either of them particularly happy. It didn’t stop Will from exploring other romantic ventures and his impression was that, like his own mother, his new wife would look the other way. But she wanted real love, and that was something Will didn’t know how to do. Their marriage lasted less than a year. 

As time went on, his father’s health began to decline. A heart that had never really been used had started to decay and it eventually gave out. At the age of 87, Gregory Meyers passed away and the Meyers dynasty.. was not passed onto his son, as expected. In the ultimate power move from beyond the grave, all that was promised to him was not given but Will was cut out entirely. Feeling as though he was shaped for nothing, Will felt without a path or any sense of direction. He had a choice of working his way up the corporate ladder, as was his father wish - to actually “achieve something of his own” or step down entirely. William decided to find his own path. 

While he didn’t receive the various businesses that he thought, Will was given a large inheritance. Of which, he had no idea how to use it. At the tender age of 35, he felt as though he could do whatever he wanted. And whatever he wanted, he did. William became the party boy that his father would have detested. But flying too close to the sun meant that Will was starting to burn. And eventually, the fast lane caught up with him. It took three paramedics to get him back to life after a nearly fatal overdose. 

Realizing that the love he never got from his father was not worth dying over, William finally had an epiphany (after a brief stunt in rehab). The only times he had felt happy was on the odd occasions his family would head down to Aurora Bay for their annual summer holiday. His father owned a beach house in various locations but the small town of Aurora Bay was always Will’s favourite. On a whim, Will decided to purchase a beautiful B&B with his inheritance, hoping that small town life would fulfil him in some manner.
