I've seen on tik tok and pinterest a lot of people saying 'hear me out' on the finest man of the entire south Korea which makes me believe this 'hear me out' has lost its meaning, so I'm gonna do a list full of my favorite underrated characters of squid game that no one talks about enough.

N°6: That one math teacher from s1.

This man absolutely slayed his minutes of screen time and we have to admit he was smart as hell but unfortunately he was gone too soon (if he looked at me like that he would die looking a slurped caprisun)

N°5: The square masked officer

He was given 2 minutes of screen time and he served and ate. I don't know if this if just me but I hope he makes a bigger appearance in the third season because I feel like he has some potential (help me lord he's fine as hell)

N°4: Park Gyeong-Seok

Let's be real here, he did soooo good on episode 7, he literally went off and acted like he was in call of duty or something. He's honestly a great character and I got so sad they killed him because I want him to go back to his daughter (MY SHAYLA) but I also have a theory that N°11 (No-eul) was the one who went to shoot him but didn't actually kill him, this since we didn't see him die (he's so pookie I want him in my bed)

N°3: Choi Woo-Seok

My baby did nothing but serve face for the entirety of s2 (LMAO) but I honestly love him so much, he's such a cool and funny character, although i found slightly annoying how much trust he put onto captain Park but i can't blame him since Jun-ho also believes him but I hope they get to find that island in s3. (That fuckass chain of his makes him finer oof)

N°2: Deok-Su

BEFORE YOU COME AT ME LISTENNNN, OKAY? We can't lie and say he was the worst character because he WASN'T. Was he fucked in the head? Yes. Would he slay if he was alive during s2? Absolutely. This mf went INSANE during the bathroom fight and during lights out and although he wasn't the best with the brains, he definitely was one hell of a fighter. I don't think anyone in s2 would stand a chance if he was still alive (he's pretty fucking hot too I'd honestly let him destroy my insides)

N°1: Seong Gi-Hun

How tf is he the MAIN CHARACTER but also underrated??? He's quite literally one of the best characters in the entire show but I'm so disappointed at how much trust he puts on people (frontman) but that only shows how much kindness he has in heart, I mean, after watching over 600 people die, losing both his best friends (RIP MY SHAYLAS) and also losing contact with his daughter??? This man deserves the best therapist in the world. I also will NEVER forgive Netflix for cutting off his fluffy hair and for taking away his smile. (He's so pookie and this pic is making me feral I want him to look at me like that when he sees me laying naked on the table as he waits for dinner)

Anyway, this was a brief opinion on these characters and I know there's so much more I could say but I feel lazy and I can't remember half of the events of s1 but feel free to share your thoughts!! Like, repost and comment if you can I love you babes🫶🏽

Summary: The personification of the dream in love with the angel of death, it sounds lovely until a new girl appears in the Grim Reaper's life, forcing the beautiful dream to turn into a nightmare.

The soft sound of the wind blowing the leaves of the trees was like a lullaby for the deep sleep in which the city was immersed.

In the midst of the silence of a room, you were standing at the foot of a bed with a soft smile adorning your lips.

—¿You know? —Kim Shin's sudden voice almost made you jump in fright —Some people find it creepy to be watched at night while they sleep.

You brought a finger to your lips indicating for him to remain silent, you looked towards the grim reaper's bed and let out a sigh when you saw that he hadn't moved at all.

That man slept like a rock, completely covered by the sheet and the position in which he slept almost looked like a corpse and that generated genuine interest in you.

—¿What are you doing awake? You should be enjoying the dream I made for you —You said with a mischievous smile.

As the creator of dreams, you were in charge of making each and every one of the fantasies that anyone has while sleeping, sometimes were beautiful, other times were horrible, that depended on your mood and in this case, how much affection you had for them.

You liked the goblin, but sometimes he drove you crazy, that's why now him woke up from nightmares in which he fell into the void over and over again.

The complete opposite of the angel who slept peacefully in the bed in front of you, you prepared beautiful dreams for him every day for centuries.

—I don't know why you're trying so hard, he'll forget about it as soon as he wakes up anyway —Kim Shin said before returning to his room.

Maybe he was right, your beautiful angel sometimes forgot about your work as soon as he woke up but for you it was enough to feel him happiness and peace every night.

You laughed internally at the thought that God had been wrong about your supposed punishment.

This was not a punishment for you.

It was a perfect immortal life, you didn't know how but ever since you can remember you were captivated by him, it was impossible to stop smiling like a fool every time he was in front of you.

You smiled once more before turning into golden dust and fluttering above him head, entering his dream.

It was a beautiful meadow full of flowers, the soft sunlight passed through the trees leaving a beautiful scene.

But your eyes fell on the man standing a few steps ahead of you, feeding a deer with a soft smile.

—I thank you for this dream... —He said sincerely turning to look at you.

—It's not a big deal —You said making a carefree gesture with your hand but he approached you and took it —I like making these dreams for you...

—And that's why I thank you —he added, leaving a soft kiss on the back of your hand.

That act almost made your legs weak.

He knew everything you did for him and he adored it, only you were able to transmit to him the peace he longed for without needing to go to heaven, your dreams were a gift every night and no, he never forgot them.

The feeling between you was almost mutual.

The angel of death appreciated you, more than he would like to admit, sometimes he thought about how it would feel to kiss you but he still didn't know when or how to do it.

For him, dreams were even more beautiful when you were in them, the night was the only time when the two of you could talk without being bothered by Kim Shin or Deok Hwa.

It was perfect, even the grim reaper thought he was ready to take the next step and kiss you, tell you everything he felt.

But she appeared.

—¿What's wrong? —You asked curiously when the angel stood up from the table irritated after having frozen until he broke the plate of his food.

Deok Hwa was startled when you suddenly appeared next to him.

—¿Why don't you walk? ¡That would be much better than just appearing and disappearing!

—¿What's wrong? —You asked once again ignoring him complaint.

—He is confused because he cried in front of a woman for no apparent reason.

—¿Did he cry? ¿Why did he cry? ¿Did she do something to him? ¿Who is she?

Your questions came out one after another, you didn't want him to feel that way, you had put so much effort into making him immortality more beautiful for someone to come and make him cry for no apparent reason.

Deok Hwa didn't notice your concern so he continued telling you about the little he knew, he even made that movement with his lips that the grim reaper had made before referring to that girl.

A kiss.

That girl had shamelessly sent him a kiss.

You pressed your lips into a straight line and disappeared into the golden sparkles.

From that day on you felt something different between you and the angel, you didn't know what it was, but you knew who was causing it, you were quite sensitive and before knew it, you were already tormenting that poor girl with nightmares.

It wasn't on purpose, you just let yourself be blinded by your own jealousy, you had worked hard to win him over and now another woman came along to catch him attention.

You felt it was unfair.

And every night it only got worse, for her the nights of nightmares and insomnia were eternal, for him were nights in which he took pills to sleep deeply and not dream and for you, for you it was as if your heart was breaking every moment.

You stopped talking to him and occasionally you would appear in his room to try to make him dream but it was impossible, with the pills he was taking it was very difficult to introduce your beautiful dreams that you had made for him.

Until one day your heart broke completely.

You didn't know why but you decided to follow him, rarely did it but this time your instinct told you to do it.

However, you deeply wished you hadn't, he had been looking for that girl and then taking her out for coffee.

He swallowed and looked back at the window, he knew it was you and he also knew the reason but refused to accept it.

The sleeping pills in all the pharmacies were out of stock, and all because the nightmares were more recurrent than usual; no one could sleep without waking up screaming or crying in the middle of the night.

—You must do something to stop her —Kim Shin spoke complaining for the third time as he took his drink away from the grim reaper —Get up, go and tell your little girlfriend to solve her problems.

—She's not my girlfriend —He said seriously, sighing.

—¡Whatever! Just talk to her —the Goblin insisted, almost pleading for not having had a good dream as he should have.

—¡Please! Hallway uncle, I want to sleep —Deok Hwa said now, dramatizing his crying.

Finally he gave in and stood up to go find you.

It wasn't difficult for him, he knew you well enough to know your favorite place where you made dreams.

Arriving at that small abandoned library, he saw you sitting on the floor with a crystal sphere in front of you.

—¿What are you doing here? —You asked without taking your eyes off that sphere.

The grim reaper evaded your question and approached you cautiously, he knew the reason for your current mood and felt somewhat bad about it but he was also confused about his feelings and hoped that you could understand him.

—The nightmares must stop —He said seriously, looking down at that sphere that so tempted you to be trapped —You are causing disappointments, accidents and problems among mortals.

—Well... they have to understand that not everything will be rainbows and good news.

He watched you silently as you lifted the crystal sphere and placed it on one of the shelves.

—¿What is this?

—A dream about my past life... —You whispered.

—¿Can you know who you were before this time? —The Grim Reaper asked in surprise and disbelief —¿As?

The angel was more than impressed, he wanted to know about his past life, his name, his date of birth, everything and seeing you having a possible answer to his doubts was incredible.

—I just did it... but I don't want to see it —When you turned on your heels he was already right behind you, making you jump a little in fright —¡¿What's wrong with you?! ¡You should wear a bell!

—¿Aren't you curious to know who you were before this?

—¡No! ¡I don't want to know anything about that!, ¡or this! ¡or you!

He kept quiet and let you yell at him until you got tired, he truly hated himself for doing this to you and that was why he felt so frustrated, maybe if he knew more about his past he would know why that girl named Sunny had a big effect on him just like you.

You kept screaming and moving in circles in front of him, you were angry and sad, it was noticeable but he didn't hear anything you said until the words "I loved you" left your lips.

—¿Did you... love me? —What a stupid question, of course you did, it was always clear but he refused to see it.

—¡And I thought it was mutual! —You shouted at him one last time with tears held back in your eyes —But that pretty girl with light hair and a beautiful smile did what haven't been able to do in years except in my dreams.

It was torture, you made him smile several times in his dreams and with a lot of work but she, she could do it just by laughing.

When you got kicked out of your house you only had time to bring a few sets of clothes, your toothbrush, and your school supplies. While you were getting ready this morning, you had to watch a video tutorial online on how to tie your hair up with a pencil not minding the tall short haired girl who was eating breakfast just a few feet away in their tight knit apartment.

It was easy not to talk to Sae-byeok. She was like smoke, easy to spot but can’t grasp as it’s already dissolving away. She left ten minutes earlier than you did without a single uttering to you. You try not to think about it too much because you will be gone soon.

“Noona.” you hear a voice behind you peep while you were done tying your hair back. Cheol pops up from his room, handing you his tie timidly. “I accidentally loosened my tie. Could you tie it for me again?”

You walk over to Cheol and kneel on the hardwood floor to help adjust his uniform tie.

“Did someone hurt you?” he asks, pointing at your cheek.

“No, never. I just tripped.” you lie. You feel the weight of his stare on your bruised up cheek. “Do you always go to school by yourself?” you say to advert the topic.

“Yes. Sometimes my sister takes me if she doesn’t go to work early but she usually does.” he explains, rubbing his tired little eyes with his fist. “Ji-yeong noona isn’t a morning person so I’m scared to ask her.”

“Done. You look nice.” you ruffle the top of his head and stand up. “I would be scared to wake up Ji-yeong too by the way.”

A fatigue little giggle escapes Cheol’s mouth.

“Have a good day at school, Cheol.” you say and walk over to the door to slip on your sneakers only to look over at Cheol who pokes his head out his room once more.

“Are you staying with us forever, Noona?” he asks. The confused expression you gave him startled him. “I want you to!”

“No, I know what you meant to say it’s just—“ you scratch the top of your head. You don’t think it’ll be appropriate to say that tomorrow morning you’ll be long gone to a sensitive boy like Cheol. “I don’t know actually. Maybe one day I’ll have to leave but we’ll still be friends, okay?”

“Seriously?”

“Absolutely. Maybe in the summer you can come visit me at the art gallery I work at.”

“That’ll be cool.” he says quietly. “Bye, Noona.”

You wave him goodbye and exit the apartment.

The bus ride to your campus is serene on this cloudy spring morning and you wonder when this moment of calm will end. Maybe it’ll end when you get to your first class of the day where you will confront Yoon about her ex-boyfriend’s attempted assault on you yesterday.

One thing Sae-byeok had to get used to was having a routine. Before working at the bakery, her days of pickpocketing were irregular and her income would be inconsistent. It was strange at first and she wasn’t the best on arriving to work on time at first, but by some miracle Miss Ahn never complained about her tardiness. Sae-byeok is almost certain Ji-yeong told her about her past so Miss Ahn could take it easy on her.

Her first month working at the bakery she didn’t think she would last. She was told to memorize kneading techniques, how to spot expired flour, and go grocery shopping in the middle of a rush because they ran out of eggs. It was all too foreign. But now she can barely remember her life without this job. However, today her mind is back to the days she used to be Jang Deok-su’s little apprentice. Everyday was violence, theft, drugs, and more violence. Sae-byeok can’t believe she survived it all.

For her midday break, Sae-byeok stepped outside to the back alley of the bakery and leaned her back against the wall to ponder some more.

“Hey, Kang!” Ahn Yong-sun, Miss Ahn’s eldest grandson, calls out to her from the back door. She slowly turns her head to look at him. “Where the fuck did you put Kim Yeoreum’s cake order? I can’t fucking find it anywhere!”

“On the top shelf! Asshole.” she mutters the last word underneath her breath.

“Just because you’re two inches taller than me doesn’t mean we can all fucking reach the top shelf!”

“Yong-sun, watch your mouth child!” Miss Ahn hisses as she arrived back from her grocery errands. She fans her grandson with her hands in a shooing motion. He mumbles an apology and cowers back inside but not before throwing Sae-byeok a glare. “Don’t let that brat get into your head, dear. He’s become so spoiled—of course he has, he was raised by my own spoiled son!”

Sae-byeok reaches over to grab her bag of groceries.

“Ah, look at you always being so attentive with me.” Miss Ahn coos. “I’m telling you if I fell down the stairs my grandson wouldn’t even bat an eye.”

They enter the kitchen and the aroma of fresh bread hits their nostrils. As Sae-byeok reaches over to shut the door for some odd reason the smell makes her think of you and the croissant you offered her last night. While she unloads the bag of groceries she keeps thinking of you and the last thing you told her last night.

Sae-byeok turns to peer down at the elder lady beside her jotting down another list of groceries. “Miss.” she says out of the blue.

“Yes, dear?”

“Is the apartment above the bakery still vacant?”

Miss Ahn’s looks up past her reading glasses and raises a brow. “Why? Did you and Cheol get booted off?”

“No, it’s for a friend.”

“Ah.” she hums and continues to write her list again. “I’m in the process of having a couple of people visit the space. However, it’ll make my life easier if you got your friend to come first—just make sure she doesn’t ask too many questions. You young kids love doing that.”

“Okay. Can she come tomorrow?”

Sae-byeok could sense that the older lady is skeptical. But she remains stone faced and calm hoping that she won’t raise further questions. It’s bad enough she’s doing this for your sake.

“I don’t see why not. Tomorrow afternoon.” she pats her on the shoulder. “Now, can you help me finish icing this cake for me? The customer will arrive later today.”

Sae-byeok walks around the other side of the island counter and sneakily pulls out her phone to send Ji-yeong a message.

You drop your belongings at your usual spot, next to the large window panes in the studio and march over to Yoon who was currently chatting with a friend. Without noticing, your jaw clenches seeing how content Yoon looks giggling with her friend while your mind is in torment over the chaos that ensued yesterday.

When she sees your rigid figure march up to her she hushedly says something to her friend that made her go silent. She avoids your eye contact the closer you approach them.

“Can I talk to you in private?” you ask her, irritated.

Yoon stiffly nods while still avoiding your intense eye contact and follows you out the classroom. When you reach the end of the hall you cross your arms and narrow your eyes at her.

“So—“

“I’m really sorry.” Yoon interrupts quickly with guilt written all over her face. “I didn’t think Yen-ho would…”

“Try to beat me up?” you scoff.

“I was just confused about this whole situation an—“

“Situation? This isn’t a situation, Yoon this is my life! I get it if you don’t want to be around me anymore. It fucking sucks that I know what you will decide but to go around and tell people…” you choke back tears. “it’s just making my life harder than it already is.”

“Fuck. I’m so deeply sorry.”

Breathless with anger you take a couple of seconds to compose yourself before continuing. “Whatever, Yoon. Could you just tell me if he’ll be here today so I know when to leave?”

“He doesn’t go to school here he just likes to wander.” she mutters. “But I’ll text him—tell him to back off.”

Before you could speak your professor appears. “Ladies, class is starting now could you head to your seats please. And can I speak to you after class about your project?” he points at you.

“Yes, I’m sorry.” you mumble, lowering you head and scurry with Yoon to the class.

“Don’t apologize.” he chuckles.

It was hard to pay attention in class when all you could do is shoot daggers at Yoon across the room. You could see the anxiousness in her behavior, how she would pick up and put down her phone, and only reply to her friends in short sentences.

At one point you heard the professor cough in your direction leaving you no choice but to try and concertante on the piece you are working on. But by the time class was finished, you barely finished what you started with.

You wait until everyone leaves before dragging your feet up to the professors desk.

He greets you by your name and folds his hands, thinking deeply. “So, you’re the only one that hasn’t shown me their piece. Could you show me and explain to me what your piece is about?”

“It’s a textile piece that will, um, resemble a fashion designers sketchbook. I’m using textile, watercolor, fashion magazines, and my own sketch designs for this piece…” you quietly explain as you show him the piece, frowning at the disapproval on his face.

“That sounds…marvelous.” he says to your surprise. “I like the use of watercolor to depict paper fading yellow.”

“Thank you, professor.” you bow.

“Is there a story behind this?”

“I’m still trying to get around it.”

“Okay.” he hums. “Recently, I’ve noticed your lack of concentration in my class however. I stated from the start that students that consistently keep lacking won’t succeed in my class. This is the first big project and you will have two bigger ones these next upcoming weeks. I don’t want you to fall behind already—especially since I can already conclude that you’ll be one of the runner ups in the Hangaram prize.”

Your heart begins to swell. This is the first good news in a while you aren’t sure how to react. So you just stare at your professor with wide eyes and a gaped mouth.

“So please, focus on this project and I am excited to see the end results next class.”

“Of course, thank you professor!”

You walk out of class in high spirits only to be crushed with the realization in knowing that a potential group of loiterers are waiting for you outside these walls.

the way that inho's front man outfit and the darth vader suit are similar. a mask hiding their faces, modifying their voices, making them seem unhuman with its features. the way that both suits set them apart from the other workers and the way they completely hide the person beneath it.

inho and anakin both being on the "right" side, a cop and a jedi. people who protect others, who should be a positive force in the world. but both the police and the jedi have a lot of problems in how they can intervene during certain situations.

both of them wanted to save their pregnant wives and both failed, with anakin believing both padmé and their child died, while inho's actually passed away.

they both have an older man who serves as a mentor and introduces them to the dark world they will soon be a driving force in (palpatine with the sith, and ilnam with the games). in both cases, anakin and inho are the successors when said mentors die.

anakin tried to recruit luke to the dark side, and inho tried to recruit junho to join the games.

padmé and gihun are both idealists who sacrificed their personal lives to make the world a better place. they are protectors and nurturers.

padmé accepts the role of senator because she needs to try to change the current status quo, and gihun pursues those who are being the games to bring them to justice for what they have done.

gihun watches as the man he loves becomes unhinged and cruel (sangwoo), and the same happens to padmé as she witnesses anakin's descent into madness. both plead with said men to turn back, and both almost die at the hands of these men.

padmé and gihun both thrive for justice and for those who harm others to be brought down, and they are both key players in trying to destitute a power-hungry leader (padmé creating the rebel alliance against palpatine and gihun leading the revolt against the front man).

and, finally, the speech anakin gives padmé in aotc:

From the moment I met you, all those years ago, not a day has gone by when I haven't thought of you. And now that I'm with you again... I'm in agony. The closer I get to you, the worse it gets. The thought of not being with you- I can't breath. I'm haunted by the kiss that you should never have given me. My heart is beating... hoping that kiss will not become a scar. You are in my very soul, tormenting me... what can I do?- I will do anything you ask. ...If you are suffering as much as I am, please, tell me.

and later on, padmé's response:

I'm not afraid to die. I've been dying a little bit each day since you came back into my life. [...] I love you. [...] I think our lives are about to be destroyed anyway. I truly... deeply... love you and before we die I want you to know.

inho can't stop thinking about gihun after first seeing him yell at the cameras abt deok-su killing that player (for me, this was when inho's fascination with gihun began), and now that gihun is near him again, he can't breath, haunted by the friendship and camaraderie and love gihun handed him when he was "youngil".

and gihun loves inho, even as his life is being destroyed around him. he doesn't want to love him but he does, so much. he's not scared of dying, he's scared of his feelings for inho, of how much he loves this seemingly cruel man. and now gihun needs inho to know that everything gihun gave him was real.

Goblin is One of the Best Shows Ever Made

Thanks to @lurkingshan using @kyr-kun-chan against me, I completed Goblin aka Guardian: The Lonely and Great God.

I will say plainly that I think this is one of the most excellently-calibrated pieces of media I have ever watched. The show balances the attention span and varying interests of its audience perfectly. I like romance well enough, but I am so much more invested in stories about the Warrior's Bond. As soon as they revealed that Goblin was a loyal general betrayed by his king, and now forced to roam the earth in search of connection as he intervened in the lives of people struggling with ideation I was HOOKED.

This show gives so much attention to everyone's loneliness in a way that no other show I've watched balances correctly, because Goblin uses its comedy as a relief valve so well. I cried so many times because this show has so many decent people in it trying to do their best. I also ugly cried about a dog.

It's rare that I enjoy a tragic piece of media as much as this, and I get why a quarter of the Korean population was tuning in live to watch this. The timing of this scene is the best episode ending I have seen in years.

I'll probably have more to say about this later, but Goblin is an excellent piece of media because it makes me want to watch more historical kdrama. I enjoyed this and Kingdom a lot, and am genuinely interested in more now.

Bonus: This show let me read Deok Hwa as gay the whole time and I respect that.

"But why do you not want to tell me what happened while I was away?" Y/n questioned poor Master Lee, who was staring ahead of them, taking a mental note to never bring her with him again(as a joke). She was constantly poking his arm and asking questions, to which he tried answering. Every time he opened his mouth to answer, she interrupted him with another question. He sighed, "I will only tell you one thing if you shut up for the rest of the walk.". She nodded, urging him to answer. "Jang Uk got his gate of energy opened...", and with that, Y/n opened her mouth to ask him something, but she stopped. Last time she saw Jang Uk, he was at Gisan, but it seems like he got kicked out again, or as he likes to say,'I left because he was a useless master'. She was sad that his father closed his gate of energy, the reason why being unknown to this day. Soon enough, they got to Songrim, multiple people bowing their heads in respect, and telling Y/n that she is still as beautiful as the last time they've seen her. "Lady Y/n, and Master Lee, you should both come to the Training Center. There will be a duel happening there soon."A servant bowed his head before leaving. "Did you also know that?" Y/n turned to her master. He just nodded, "Let us go and watch," he said before going the same way the servant went. She stood at her spot before running after Master Lee. Y/n got more and more confused as time went by. First off, Uk got his gate of energy opened finally, and second off, there is a duel today? Could this day get any more interesting and confusing, she wondered. As they got closer to the training center, Master Lee stopped her, "If the leader asks why are you here-" "I will tell him we'll speak later, since there is a duel about to happen" she interrupted him. He nodded, motioning for her to go ahead of him. As she entered, she noticed how the mages stood on the sides, not moving a muscle. The Crown Prince, stood at the top of the stairs, including his servant. They looked taken back, her sudden appearance taking them by surprise. They bowed their heads to each other, as Y/n looked up, the leader spoke up, "Master Lee, it's great to have you back here again. Park Y/n, did you finish mastering Chisu already, or are you only here to attend the duel?". Master Lee only smiled while Y/n responded, "My lord, we should talk about it later. As I know, there is a duel that's about to start. I wouldn't want to interfere or waste time.", and with that, both Y/n and Master Lee went to find a place to stand at.

Not so long after that, Jang Uk appeared in front of the Training Center just as they were about to close it. A girl was beside him, whom Y/n figured out is his maid. She seemed kind, and Y/n made a mental note to talk to her after the duel. Jang Uk looked in Y/ns way, his eyes widening in shock. She smiled at him politely before making a face that just had what the fuck did you get into, written all over it. He winced before continuing to walk. His maid only bowed her head and smiled at Y/n, which she, of course, returned. Y/n listened carefully as the Crown Prince explained everything. She gasped when he mentioned that whoever wins this duel, gets Mu-deok as their maid. She knew that Uk will lose since he just got his gate of energy opened recently. Soon enough, the Crown Prince announced the start of the duel, and with that, they charged at each other.

As the duel went on, she heard a mage saying that Uk used his defense spell. That meant that he had mastered all of his previous opponent's spells and is using them against Seo Yul. She frowned her eyebrows when Uk gathered the energy and turned it into water, tossing it in the air and using Tansu. She gasped as Yul was almost knocked down, but in the end, Yul won. With that, Mu-deok got a new master, Y/n noticed that she disappeared with the Crown Prince, probably to discuss what's going to happen. After everyone congratulated Uk on mastering Chisu, they left the Training Center as if nothing had happened minutes ago. Master Lee left as soon as the duel finished, only saying that he was going to take a small walk. Y/n watched with a smile as Dang-gu hugged Uk, ignoring the complains of the new mage. "Let the poor man breathe. You should take him to Sejukwon, Dang-gu." Y/n said before Uk got even more wounded than he already was, which made them look at her, both existed to see her again. "Ah, we didn't do our group hug. Come here," Dang-gu motioned for all of them to hug. It was a tradition for them to have a group hug after being away for a long time. Everyone smiled and went for the group hug, laughing as they remembered how long they were without Y/n. "You should take Uk to Sejukwon, I'll stay with Y/n." Yul said to Dang-gu as they pulled away from the hug. He nodded, "Let us go." And with that, they were off to Sejukwon.

As they left, Seo Yul offered Y/n his hand, "Would you fancy a walk around Songrim, my lady?" smiling at her. "Of course, my prince." she blushed. It was their nicknames that they created a few years ago, when they met. Each time they were alone, they wouldn't say their names, only the nicknames. She placed her hand through his, "Lead the way, my prince.". As they walked, she took in the sight of what had changed. There weren't many changes, not that she cared if there were. All that mattered to her was that her friends were safe and healthy. "I missed this." she said as she looked around, "I missed you." he blurted out, not realizing what he said. "I missed you too. How could I not?" she replied, stopping to look at him. He looks as handsome as the last time I saw him. It's impossible how a man could look like you do. She thought, admiring his looks, thinking about every time he defended her, or took care of her tiny wounds from training. She looks even prettier than she did the last time I saw her. All the girls must be jealous of her. God has favorites, and it's you. He couldn't help but think about her. Most of the time, she was in his mind. He couldn't stop thinking about her, worrying about her getting hurt or, worse, attacked. He snapped out of his thought as she wrapped her arms around him. He returned the gesture, placing his cheek on her head, sighing as she smelled like a garden that just bloomed. He could feel her smile against his chest. "What are you smiling at, my lady? Is it my looks?" he asked as if he wasn't blushing profusely. She giggled, "How could I not? You're the most handsome and caring person I have ever met in my life."He smiled and pulled away. It was getting darker. They didn't even notice the time they spent together. They didn't notice that Jang Uk, his maid, and Dang-gu were spying on them, shipping them secretly. The leader of Songrim scared the three of them as he whispered out of nowhere, "They are so in love.". They almost screamed as they saw him, turning around to look at him. The leader only shrugged and left without saying another word. They turned around and saw that their ship had disappeared.

Meanwhile, Seo Yul and Park Y/n parted their ways, bidding each other a goodbye. He insisted on going with her until she got to her room, but she said he doesn't need to. "I'll be safe, you don't have to worry, good night, Yul." He nodded and left, or so she thought. As she continued her way to her room, she felt a pair of eyes boring into the back of her head. She turned around, gripping her sword that made her feel only a tad bit less nervous.But there was no one there, she felt as if her instincts were playing with her due to her tiredness, but she always trusts her instincts. She sighed before turning back, continuing her way. Only five more minutes ran through her head. Just as she turned around the block, a sword almost went through her. She screamed, forming a small circle in front of her, to try defending. She used her powers to push the attacker away from her, making him fly back as the surge of energy hit him. She unsheated her sword, a black energy flowing through it, activating the energy that was in the sword. She gasped as another person stepped in front of her. "Yul?" she asked. He looked at her before attacking the person, who seemed to be a soul shifter. This wasn't a normal, weak soul shifter. It was a stronger one. She noticed that Yul was struggling, so she stepped in. Quick attacks were thrown at the soul shifter. He was struggling to defend against her spells. She was known for her fast swordmanship skills, flicking the sword as if it weighed less than a feather. After slashing his arm and waist a couple tume, he began to start petrifying, and that made her straighten up and create energy in her hand before appling it to the sword, twisting it in the air before jumping. The soul shifter was aware of what was about to happen, so he prepared to attack her. As he was about to stab the sword in her stomach, a spell hit hit, taking him to the floor, just as Y/n pierced the sword through him, petrifying him. She looked back, and Yul started to approach her. He bringed her in a tight hug, "You scared me to death. Thankfully, I was following you." he said in her hair. She saw Park Jin and other mages approach them in a hurry. He pulled away from her before patting her head. "You did an awesome job, my lady." he praised her. She blushed and thanked him.
