How do you feel about Kyougoku Makoto x Suzuki Sonoko? It was cute how he fell in love when he witnessed her enthusiastically cheering on Ran but his comments about her clothes when she's harassed and his aggressive jealousy about any man other than him is just two of the worse tropes in romance fiction. I like how this is fully his fault for being too traditional and Sonoko never changes her behaviour, he is the Prince of Kicks with a crazy win-streak whose relatively defenceless girlfriend is a frequent target of the worst kind of male attention it makes sense why he'd overgeneralise and treat it like a fight. Her devotion to being a good girlfriend for him and insisting he couldn't be the culprit of a crime becomes he was such a good person make me love Sonoko more, such a romantic deserves to have her fantasies come to life. Her parents initially being against her marrying Makoto (they want her to marry well into a good family and he's a martial artist with a holiday job) but deciding because he is determined, fun to tease and they are clearly in love they approve.

SonoMakoKai is good too. Sonoko's crush on Kid is infamous but I think she'd admire Kaito's magic (maybe she's a fan of his father) and be happy to meet a fellow Kid fan, he the Kid Task Force's magic consultant they should have met by now! On Kid's end he was happy to have her as his assistant and likes how in love she and Makoto are, I've seen the fandom joking about bisexual Kaito and Sonoko talking about how attractive Makoto-san is. Makoto is jealous of Sonoko'ss feelings Kid but Kid could hold his own against him and did in fact win (via getting the jewel) which he isn't familiar with, I could see Kid being his exception he's at least attracted to him as Sonoko I think he could understand her perspective on him more after facing him (by developing his own crush/respect for the thief).

I think the ship is okay, they're cute, but… I always forget Makoto exists! I love Sonoko, she's my second favorite girl! (The first is Akako). But I find Makoto so forgettable… honestly, I don't dislike him but definitely, if no one mentions Makoto to me I forget he ever existed.

I really, really like the KID x Sonoko thing, I think they look pretty good together, and Kaito deserves someone like Sonoko who will defend him tooth and nail, just like Sonoko deserves someone who will show her great affection.

SonoMakoKai I hadn't thought about that (I feel so sorry for Makoto, I don't know why he's so forgettable to me). But it sounds great, I like the idea that after that confrontation Makoto now has an interest in him.

I like the bisexual Kaito headcanon! Someone mentioned it once, but yes, Kaito is the protagonist of a reverse shojo harem (MK is proof of that, it´s a joke).

Sonoko: I kinda wish they were 100% off.

Kaito:

Kaito: They can't give away pants for free,  Suzuki-chan.

So I wrote a one shot for a crack pairing I recently got invested in that was inspired by a few reblogged threads I had with @idontonlytalkaboutdcmk an well... I would expect them to be too in character as I've never written a dcmk fic before

It started with a heist, specifically this heist was another challenge from Jirokitchi to capture KID. I of course had made a point to make it a grand show with a ludicrous use of glitter and some peacock costumes and had been on my way to the rooftop to meet with Tantei-kun for our match. Only when I arrived there it wasn't Tantei-kun that was waiting for me but Kyogoku freaking Makoto! Shit!!!

"Ah, if it isn't the King of Kicks! What might being you up here for?" I grasped a flash bomb, ready to throw it down if he came too close, card gun held ready in the other hand. I contained a flinch when he held his arm out in a placating gesture.

"Wait KID-san, I mean you no harm this night. We just wish to talk and Conan told us the best way to do so uninturrupted is to wait up here."

Damn that brat! Wait... we!?

"You wish to... speak to me? Whatever for?"

The answer came from behind this time, "Because we have a proposal for you KID-Sama!"

I whirl about to find the Suzuki heiress guarding the door, furred coatwrappedtightly about hero guard against the wind. I should have known she'd be with him, those two are rarely apart when they are within the same city. I stepped to the side, carefully keeping Kyogoku in the corner of my eye as I addressed her.

"Suzuki-San! What a pleasure to see you here! I always enjoy the chance to interact with my number one fan, however whatever are you doing up here, it's dark too cold for the heiress of the Suzuki Company to be in this weather."

Suzuki-San let out a giggle at that, basking in my praise, "Well this sort of conversation is beat done with all parties present, ne Kid-sama?"

"And what sort of conversation might that be?" I quirk my eyebrow beneath hat, curious.

"Me and Sono were wondering if perhaps... you'd like to join us." Kyogokui cut in, inching closer like a panther stalking its prey.

I could feel my eye twitching as I suppressed the urge to blink, "Join...you?"

"AS OUR BOYFRIEND!" Suzuki-san squealed with barely contained excitment.

Are... are they joking with me!? A thief? Date them!? I let out a cackle, "Ah I see, this is quite the joke Suzuki-San and I do love my fans, however that would be rather counterintuitive would it not? I'm a thief!"

I began to back away slowly, silently preparing a magically appearing rose as an apology when I felt myself bump into a muscled chest. Kyogoku! Strong arms placed themselves on my wrists, preventing from reaching my arsenal of hidden tricks, a trap.

"Come now KID-san, this isn't a joke." His voice rumbled behind me. I felt myself beginning to tense before forcing myself to relax, Poker Face, Kaito... keep calm.

As if in response to my brief loss of control I felt Kyogoku's grip drift from my wrist, coming to rest on my shoulders. "Me and Sono have discussed this and we both agree, if you would have us we would have you."

My heart is racing, why is it racing!? Fear? Am I afraid!? Why would I be... why haven't I thrown the flash bomb capsule down yet!? My eyes darted between the Suzuki heiress, bright and hopeful, to the hands of the martial artist gripping my shoulders, strong and protective. Then my earpiece buzzed, Jii warning me of the approach of the oncoming Task Force.

I jerk from Kyogoku's grip, throwing the flash bomb down. Suzuki-San shrieked as the light temporarily blinded her. Kyogoku reached out, attempting to stop me however I was too quick even for him as I made a mad dash to the edge of the roof, leaping off just in time for Nakamori-keibu to burst through the door.

As my wings flew me away from that strange encounter I could feel the lingering warmth from where Kyogoku's hands had brushed against my skin cooling. I scolded myself for missing it, as the Kaitou KID I cannot afford to allow myself to become attached, not while Pandora is out there. If only this had ended there... but alas that was not the last I would see of the couple.

What was the first muse that you’ve written? & Have you ever started to ship a rare-pair?

The first muse I ever wrote for was Luigi from Super Mario Bros. I was twelve at the time and it was for an AU, though the blog has long since been deactivated since I moved my main tumblr from my school email.

I've never actually shipped a rare-pair though. They're cute, don't get me wrong, but I just find that my own taste for shipping lines up with the more popular ships more often than not (Example: Kaishin, I love them way too much).

Though if I had to pick a rarepair ship, it would be SonoMakoKai because the dynamic of a number one fan of a performer and their himbo boyfriend is just so cute and funny to me.

SonoMakoKai prompt where Sonoko and Makoto help KID with his injuries after presumably finding him after a showdown with Snake and/or Spider (if you don't know who Spider is he's a Magic Kaito Special only character I believe that is a magician assassin who uses hypnosis to trap his victims he wears these weird goggles and uses poisoned needles for weapons and aside from Snake has probably come the closest to actually killing Kaito)

I am, once again, not the best to talk to when it comes to romance.

I’m gonna modify your prompt a bit, and instead of Snake/Spider, it would be they find KID after he got hurt in the movie 23 (I still have huge amount of love for that scene where he’s seen bleeding with the sun and all unrg).

Makoto find him, injured, and doesn’t give him a choice in getting kidnapped and treated at the hotel. Because he knows Sonoko loves KID and wouldn’t want him to die/get hurt too badly, so he just scoop KID into his arms (despite the thief protest. and once there KID got strangely silent. Makoto hope it’s not because of his wound.) Makoto was planning to just. Walk to the hotel with KID in his arms. To which KID protested that you can’t just do that, and so Makoto gives KID his karate outfit that he puts on top of his thief suit (the tope hat is hidden somewhere, i don’t know in his bag or something? whatever).

Once again, KID is Very Silent and Makoto is lowkey worried because is he fine?? has he lost too much blood?? (spoiler: the silence is not because of the blood loss)

So Makoto just show up at the hotel with KID. Sonoko is just. She loves that man so much. Because he could have simply dropped KID to the police/hospital but he didn’t because he knew Sonoko wouldn’t want that for KID and like. Sure he’s bleeding out in their hotel suite now but still. It’s the thought that count.

I guess Sonoko manage to contact some doctor and keep them silent (rich girl privilege...) and then they foil every attemps of KID to escape before he’s fully healed.

Conan heard about it somehow and just, mock/taunt the thief. KID try to retaliate by saying he’s the only way for Conan to go back to Japan but it’s half-hearted at best.
