If you stumbled upon this blog while browsing or otherwise, welcome to this silly little project I’ve decided to undergo.

This blog is dedicated to collecting and translating material relating to the 卑怯戦隊うろたんだー (Better known as Urotander, Underhanded Rangers in English) Vocaloid song by Shin-P, it’s sister songs (それが僕らのジャスティス"/That’s our justice and Shinjitsu no Ken -The Sword of Truth-) and the fanbase that sprang up around it.

This fanbase is almost entirely unknown over here in the west and has been dormant for several years up now with a full cast of characters and organizations (as well as some lost media possibly) spread across several websites up until now.

In light of this song’s 15th birthday and my sudden discovery of this fandom, I will be trying my best to translate as much material as I can about the world of Urotander into English to give it more exposure to something I feel is severely underrated.

I will do my very best to give each and everyone credit both to the artists and to anyone who wants to aid in this endeavor.

Note: I am not a native Japanese speaker and most of this work will/has been done using various translator services so do expect some wonky phrasing. On top of that, I highly encourage any and everyone who wants to help contribute to this project to help out if they want.

as much as i adore the vocaloid song senbonzakura as i think a lot of vocaloid fans do, i get really nervous about the lyrics and some of the imagery in it as it seems to be heavily pointing to imperial japan which was a very horrific place to be for many people. the version of the japanese flag with the red beams coming from the sun in the middle is from imperial japan and is very offensive to those in korea and other places affected by imperial japan's atrocious acts. its makes for a complicated relationship with the song.

pokemon fans who are aggressively pro-gen 1 and gen 1 only need to calm tf down. i get it you've liked the series since the beginning. i wasn't alive for that. i wasn't able to read for the first three gens. my favorite gen is sword/shield and i am not ashamed of that. you're not a superior being for liking the og. get over yourself. (obviously not directed at my mutuals as i believe you're all sane.)

americans online need to stop criticizing other countries that people might have interests in going to or living in for not being america and start fixing america itself. ffs my heart goes out to everyone living in poverty in extremely rural areas the world has not been kind or forgiving to you at all. its not a hot take to say that america isn't perfect. i know that. but god we need more people to stop bitching about any country that isn't america while online and actually look around themselves. TL;DR: american escapism blinds and kills and destroys. we need to fix that.
