1000 Years Bound Summary- 500 years into the future, Miles finds himself at the mysterious kingdom of Solar Sanctum, ruled by the long absent King Shadow. Shadow invites Miles to stay as a collaboration of great minds to try and solve the murky state their world has fallen into. It isnt long before Miles starts to realize Shadow is no longer the man he remembers, and starts to get tangled up in his web of madness.

Sonic the Hedgehog, immortalized by extended use of the chaos emeralds, is alive and well 500 years into the future. Realizing he's absolutely boned, he calls upon his old friends for help.

Fire and Water Au Summary- Thousands of years ago, the Sol dimension and Mobius had become one planet after a catastrophic event caused by Solaris. After hundreds of years of research and splitting the beast into two halves, Iblis reeked havoc on the planet and threatened to destroy it once again.

Under a time limit and the constant threat of Solaris's return, a baby Sonic was chosen by the royal family to be the vessel to inhabit the flames of disaster.

Present day, Sonic and Blaze's parents have mysteriously passed away and Sonic's coronation is closing in. Desperate, he escapes the castle to pursue a life of freedom as a pirate.

Blaze, with no one left, sets out to retrieve him at any cost.

Vampire Au Summary- Angel Island is the only life Sonic has ever known. Being trapped within the permanent barrier encasing the 8 islands isnt quite his style, so finding a way to destroy it and explore the world below has been his goal for as long as he can remember. Hes got a number of other things keeping him occupied however, trying to prevent the Robotnik Family from taking over total control of the islands. 

When he isnt fighting them off, hes hanging out with his friends, living his best life being a vampire both day and night. When he wants to get everyone off his back, and feed from his favorite vampire hater, Shadow, he uses his magic staff to change his appearance into an alter ego, Hoax the "Tenrec."

One of my biggest problems with Sonamy is that despite its overwhelming popularity (or maybe because of it... yeah probably), portrayals of it have been so all over the place across the games, across adaptations, and across fanworks, that the definitive portrayal doesn't really exist, making it hard to buy into compared to Sonic's relationship with other characters. And no shade to Amy, but fans also tend to focus solely on how much Amy "deserves it", and disregard Sonic's needs completely.

I personally don't care about the fandom at large. I completely understand being annoyed by the general mentality and the popularity (I don't like Sonadow for similarly petty reasons :P), but it's simply not something I pay attention to.

It's not about Amy deserving her consolation prize. I personally have never seen that argument, I'm more familiar with "it's canon anyway!" which is dumb for multiple reasons lol. I, myself, even reject the popular vision of Sonic being overly romantic with Amy, with kisses under the moonlight and settling down to marry and whatnot.

I personally see some sort of relationship arc between the two. Unintentional? Who knows. But I see a gradual, tentative evolution from Amy being a lovestruck kid with Sonic wanting little to do with her (CD), to Amy still being stuck in her fantasies but showing Sonic she's worthy of being listened to (Adventure 1), to... admittedly a not-so-good period of time between Adventure 2 and Rush where Amy really was too much, to Amy actually protecting Sonic's life and him appreciating it ('06), to Sonic being despondent that Amy didn't recognize him in Werehog form and the two hanging out together as Amy offers her unconditional support until Sonic agrees to go on a "date" with her (Unleashed; note that I think Sonic saw the date as platonic, a chance to spend more time with Amy. Amy might have had higher hopes, though...), to what I call now a pretty stable point in their relationship where the two are just chill around one another. They're good, trusted friends :)

And that's really how I see them: good friends that can rely on one another. Amy has grown from being a childish fangirl to a true ally and equal, and Sonic now enjoys her presence without awkwardness. Long gone are the days when Sonic would leave her behind without a thought.

I still have my reservations on the current writing, as you might be aware, but I can define their relationship and it's one that I enjoy. It's not the usual "Sonic teaches a sad girl the joy of life" (I mean this with the utmost affection), but I do see a story of two unlikely friends growing closer and maturing together until they are each other's support.

Sonadow au or Tragedy au

Tragedy is actually triggered by Shadow choice to be mortal bit earlier than my Gray hero au which causes sonic and his deaths.

These also cause their children to be villains and only two of them are willing to be a hero to fight for freedoms, these children have different upbringing and only two have parental figures to give them ideas about freedom and justice.

With Sonadow's death and silver timeline also erases which mean he's stuck in this timeline, Well his life got worse unfortunately....he kinda forced kidnapped marriage to mephiles who also stuck in tragedy timeline. Their married very toxic and they have few children...and silver so traumatized he almost tried to kill his children because they remind him of mephiles.

Amy and blaze are married and have two kids, They're safe from the chaos that happened in well.... But their son loves to sneak out to see other dimensions.

...tails did marry cream but he got hunted by havoc and crystal as they remember him from their childhood, They need his cleverness to help keep havoc underground empires more stable and havoc keep threatening to kill cream which why tails agreed works with them.

Knuckles and rogue went hidden and to keep their children safe from havoc and crystal control in the city's and their eyes after G.U.N was swiped off from the world.

writing prompt/plot summary: Energetic, adventurous and otherwise happy, all inherent parts of her personality, Jenny Walsh has lived a life of plans yet unfulfilled, she a children's books story editor who aspires to write her own stories. When her sister Meg announces that she and her fiancé Tony are getting married in one month's time in a destination wedding at the Ice Hotel with Jenny as the maid of honor, Meg believes she can at least assist in one of Jenny's other unfulfilled items, namely to be married herself, by setting her up with the widowed best man, travel company owner Craig. Jenny wants no part of a set-up, that is until she meets Craig and his adolescent daughter, Sara, the entire package to which she is indeed attracted. The problem about which Tony didn't even know until Craig arrived at the hotel is that in addition to Sara, Craig has brought Lana Devereaux, a proverbial plus one, to the festivities, Lana about who no one knew even existed in his life. While Lana makes it clear that she sees this getaway as a romantic one for two whenever possible in her goal of becoming Craig's next wife, Jenny, in her continued feelings for Craig and Sara, wants to find out how Craig sees his life with Lana, especially with regard to Sara, Jenny not wanting to upset the apple cart regardless in respect of Lana who has her own dreams.

So I have been having dozens ideas of AUs all November and December now ( Sonic related ) and I can't seem to decide in which I should focus on, so get the descriptions of my AUs and share your opinion, if you can please!

- A Duel For The Prince's Hand [ Multi: Sonadow, Knuxouge & Blazamy ] / Draft

An AU with a mystical undertone, taking place during the era of grand kingdoms. Shadow is the prince of one of the six kingdoms in Mobius and his mother announces him that he is getting married. Luckily or not he has the chance to select whom out of all candidates he gets to marry, but to do so, he has first to give them a chance to court him. One of the many is Sonic himself, but under the name of Maurice. With mysteries, secrets & betrayals unfolding one by one will there be any chance for their love to thrive?

- Oceanic Depths [ M/M: Sonadow ] / Draft

Sonic is the captain of one of the most feared ships in Mobius. Having dealt with dozens of pirates and land-dwellers, him and his crew are something like legends around the common-folk. Unfortunately, when a mission of theirs fails by capturing the wrong person, their world turns upside down. No one had told them that they would come face to face with one of King Gerald's kids. Prince Shadow of the Ark Kingdom is not happy by any means. Shenanigans and revelations eventually occur and land with sea engage to a war. Sonic, his crew and Shadow find themselves fixing the mess.

- If You Love Me For Me [ Multi: Blazamy, Sonadow, Knuxouge ] / Draft

A crossover between Sonic x Princess & the Pauper with personal changes. Queen Amelia finds her people starving more and more with each passing month and she finds herself obliged to ask for help from her neighbour nation, which agrees, if she gives her daughter's hand in marriage. Amy not having the power to do anything, gives in to her mother's plead even though she has feelings for a specific violet cat. During one of her walks in the kingdom's village, Amy gets acquainted with a new face, specifically a blue hedgehog. Meanwhile, Eggman, the royal family's advisor plots a villainous plan to overthrow the queen and become king. Amy and Sonic tried to stop him, while having to deal with a left-hanging prince that would rather to be anywhere than there.

- Bring What Once Was Mine [ Gen? Debating for Pre-Sonadow & Pre-Creamails ] / Draft

A crossover between Sonic x Tangled with personal changes. After the recovery of Queen Rosemary, the royal family are pleased to have their newborn son right in their arms, his birth being rough with some malfunctions, but nothing that could stop them from being blissful. That is, until at the age of two, he gets abducted by a figure and he never seems to be seen again. Now, Tails is living his life locked up in a high tower with only company his older brother, Sonic. He loves his brother with all his heart, but sometimes, he wonders what would be like to leave the tower and see the outside world. His wish comes true, when Sonic leaves to get him new tools and a strange duo appear at his home with an even more abnormal gem. A deal soon follows and Shadow with Cream get Tails outside. Sonic eventually finds out that his brother is missing and that is only bad news for the trio, when another figure learns his ‘escape’.

- Till We Reach The Break Of Dawn [ Multi: Sonadow, Knuxouge, Blazamy ] / Draft

Alternative Universe in Sonic Forces. Five years. It's been five whole years since Infinite has took over Mobius, betraying Eggman and Shadow has been sealed to his worst enemy, a stasis tube, after his second meet-up with the jackal under his new identity. Two Mobians under the lead of Infinite eventually find the stasis tube and by accident unlock it, with as a result Shadow's awakening. Having to adjust to the new rules of his world, Shadow eventually finds that most of the first resistance's members have gone with Infinite's side with one of them being Rouge herself. However, he soon finds out that she is actually not at Infinite's side and he with her team up with Dr. Eggman, the new leader of the Resistance, to counter back Infinite's liege. Along their way, they encounter familiar faces, but unfortunately they are not the same as the ones they had been. While at it, Shadow has been hearing a voice in his head, which he cannot decipher. In the end, who will win the war that will decide Mobius' fate? Will Shadow be up to take Sonic's place now that he's disappeared? He dearly hopes so.

- The Bard And The Masked Ebony [ M/M: Sonadow ] / Idea

Thieves, badniks and peace disruptors are usually fierce and wild around their victims. However, when the Masked Ebony makes his appearance all villains of the stories cower and attempt to escape. Most villagers believe that he is a legend though, as few have claimed that they have actually seen him face to face. Shadow could actually care less at what people thought, as long as his sister was happy. When someone however manages to capture him and bring him to the King, they accuse the Masked Ebony for treason with made up proof. His sentence does not get decided as a figure suddenly invades the throne room and helps him escape. Now he and the blue hedgehog that calls himself ‘The Bard’ have to prove his innocence. Everything turns upside down from there.

- Chaos Reversed One-Shots [ Gen ] / Already Started

An Alternative Universe with swap roles between the characters. There are five teams; Team D.I.A ( Rouge, Maria & Omega, Shadow ), Team Chaos ( Knuckles, Sonic, Tails ), Team Guardians ( Amy, Cream, Big ), Team Sol ( Silver, Blaze, Marine ) & Team Micro ( Vector, Charmy, Espio ) with Eggman's team remaining the same. Team D.I.A is Team Sonic, Team Chaos is Team Dark, Team Guardians is Team Dimensions, Team Sol is Team Chaotix & Team Micro is Team Rose. All characters' personalities remain somewhat the same with some changes due to past experiences and environment. Shenanigans occur yet again and there and Eggman has Tailsphobia.

- Loop [ Gen ] / Idea

Sonic the Hedgehog remembers his life starting at the age of fifteen. He doesn't know why, but this is how it always started. Always. At first he thinks of it nothing. But as the time passes, it seems that he is living constantly his life in a loop, with dramatic changes at the way people are treating him. At first he is respected and well-beloved. However it soon changes to loud commands and the agonizingly phrase that he can do better. Memories are getting blurred and he experiences same events non-stop. When he isn't needed and the evil is gone, everything blurs and he ends up at where he started. Back inside a tube with Mobians demanding him to aid them, due to his speed. It never ends... Soon though, when he wakes up for the thousandth time, instead of yells and screams he is met up with a pair of baby blue eyes, looking at him with sheer curiosity. Is this a sign that he can finally escape from his prison? That terrifying loop? And will he ever find the will to fight again against evil to save Mobius? It only takes a two-tailed fox to find out. And a couple of friends to fix what has been broken.

Shadow the Echidna paced around the empty shrine in so many aggravated circles that it was quickly wearing a rut into the ground. He had lost the Master Emerald...

He tugged at his quills until it slightly stung, and he quit before he ended up pulling any out. He had let the world down. There had been an explosion not far from his post. He shouldn't have investigated, but he had to make sure the wildlife and few residents of the village there were safe. Shadow sunk his fingers into his quills again and dropped to his knees. His distress clouded his thoughts.

He spotted a golden glimmer in the grass. It was an earring... and he knew exactly to whom it belonged. He rocketed across the sea to the mainland, senses honed to the precious Emerald. He wasn’t as fast as Knuckles the Hedgehog and couldn’t simply run across the water, but his ability to bend the wind in addition to hovering with his air shoes aided his movement.

Shadow had barely reached the treeline of Green Hill when he was bowled over by none other than his target, his treasure hunting husband, Sonic the Bat. Somehow, his close relationship with Shadow enabled Sonic to alter the Master Emerald’s size. Sonic casually held the Emerald in one hand and tickled Shadow's chin with the other as Shadow snarled. 

“What are you fucking doing, idiot?”

Sonic whined, “It’s our anniversary and you haven’t left the island all day, you hermit. Gimme some sugar will ya?”

Sonic brought their lips together fiercely. Shadow couldn’t help getting lost in the embrace for a while. Eventually, he made Sonic fly back to the island with him and return the Emerald to its pedestal. Luckily residual energy had been stored in orbs on top of the columns surrounding the shrine, preventing the floating island from crashing into the ocean.

“Nic... you seriously almost threw the world into crisis for a date... you’re unbelievable,” Shadow mumbled.

“Had to get your attention somehow, Shads!”

“Next time just fucking call.” Shadow tapped the communicator strapped on his wrist.

Sonic nuzzled him. With Shadow still in his arms, he landed on a tree branch and cradled Shadow in his lap. “Duly noted. I just wanted to keep you on your toes. Spice things up.”

Sonic stroked his quills. Shadow sighed, lost to the sensation. Sometimes, he couldn’t wrap his mind around the fact that he was married to the gorgeous and daring blue bat, that the love of his life every day continued to reciprocate his feelings. Sonic wasn’t entirely out of line. He shouldn’t take it for granted, even though noting the passage of time was somewhat asinine to Shadow, it mattered to his darling husband.

“You so much as breathe, and I’m on my toes, Nic,” Shadow grumbled with his eyes closed. He wasn’t about to reveal his thoughts unless pressed.

Sonic nearly fell out of the tree laughing, but Shadow’s strong clinging hold kept him in place. Would’ve served him right, though.

Sonic Adventure 2: Sonadow

Disclaimer: I don't own Sonic the Hedgehog. SEGA owns video games, comic books, TV series, and movies. This is going to be my second fanfic of Sonadow. I do hope you enjoy this story.

Chapter One: Project Shadow

San Francisco, Ca 1:30 PM

It was a peaceful day in San Francisco. The sun was shining, the wind was rustling through the trees along Main Street as people strolled down the street.

A blue streak zoomed down Main Street and headed straight toward the city. It was a blue hedgehog named Sonic, the heroic hedgehog that had saved countless lives over the years. Sonic zipped across the street toward his destination. He stopped by the hot dog stand and wanted to get himself a treat.

“Hey kid, what would you like for your hot dogs?” A tall, skinny man with an afro and a mustache stood behind the stall. He smiled at the hedgehog, and his eyes sparkled happily. “Your favorite is my special hot dog, right?”

“Yep! I’d like to have a chili dog if that’s okay.” Sonic replied.

He nodded, “Comin’ right up, buddy. Here ya go.” The man handed Sonic a chili dog and gave him his money. “Have fun on your way.” The man winked at Sonic as he put some money into the register for his chili dog.

He chomped up his chili dog and headed off toward where he needed to go next. After a few minutes of jogging, he stopped at the park across from the city center, which housed the park for many families during the summer months. The park was full of children playing and laughing. Most parents were out with their kids. Sonic sighed heavily when he thought about all of the adults around the town who didn’t realize how special life is, even though they lived it every day.

Sonic sat down on the bench overlooking the pond. His eyes scanned the pond, watching the fish swim by and listening to the birds sing on the oak tree nearby. He felt so relaxed, sitting under the shade of the tree, enjoying some peace. He sighed peacefully and let his eyes close as he took in this moment. He felt someone sitting next to him, he cracked one eye open to see this pink hedgehog in a red dress. It was Amy Rose.

“What are you doing here, Amy?” asked Sonic.

Amy shrugged her shoulders, “Just hanging out here. I just wanted to take some time to relax and not think about anything stressful today. You know, just take a break,”

“Yeah, I guess so. How’s it been lately? Are you happy?” Sonic asked. His eyes were still closed, but now he could see Amy clearly.

Her short hair swayed back and forth in the breeze, and her emerald green eyes sparkled softly in the sunlight. She was beautiful in everything she did. Even though she wasn’t really the most attractive girl in the whole world, she still made other girls swoon. The same went for Sonic, too.

"Well, I'm happy because we can get married," Amy said with a smile, her cheeks turning slightly pink, "And you can be my husband." Amy wrapped her arms around Sonic's shoulders and gave him a tight squeeze, causing her skirt to flare out.

"Uh, Amy, shouldn't we talk more about this?" Sonic blushed nervously.

"No, I need to tell you this. I want to marry you because I love you," Amy leaned in closer and tried to kiss Sonic on the lips. But, Sonic moved away slightly, causing Amy to stop kissing him.

"Why are you moving back? We should kiss!" Amy whined.

"You're moving forward!" Sonic insisted. “We can only be together if you don’t move forward. I’m sorry, Amy. But I can’t do this anymore…” Sonic slowly got to his feet. "I've gotta go. Bye, Amy…" he ran off as fast as he could, leaving Amy alone.

Amy sat there in stunned silence. What happened? Why was Sonic rejecting her? Wasn't she pretty enough for him? Or maybe he just didn’t care. But why wouldn’t he care about her? Amy couldn't help but start to feel hurt. Maybe he liked another girl. Maybe he never loved her in the first place. All Amy cared about was being together with him forever. That was all she ever thought about. And suddenly he broke up with her.

She started to sob as tears filled her eyes. She didn't understand.

Sonic went to Tails' house, hoping his brother would have some answers to this problem. Sonic knocked on the door, Tails opened the door, then stepped aside, letting Sonic inside his room.

"Hey, Sonic," he greeted his friend.

“Tails, I messed up again. I messed things up between me and Amy. I’m not really sure what she wants me to do,” Sonic said in a worried tone.

"What happened?" Tails asked.

"She said she wanted to get married, but I'm not doing that," said Sonic.

"Wow... you really screwed yourself over big time, didn't ya, dude?" Tails sighed, trying to figure out what to say next.

"Do I have another choice though? I mean, I could always run away again, but I’ve already lost everything once. And now this. I can’t keep running from something that’s going to end eventually..." Sonic looked down.

"Look, Sonic," Tails began, "Amy's probably gonna be real mad at you, but I'll try to make sure she doesn't hate you forever. And, well... she can be immature sometimes, I’ll admit. But you have to give her a chance, dude. Don't bail on her just yet."

"That's easy for you to say, Tails. You've known her longer than me. I'm just scared... scared that I'm wrong for her. If it was anyone else, I'd consider marrying them. But Amy... She's different, Tails. She makes me happy. And she deserves better. But I don't want to screw our relationship up." Sonic shook his head sadly.

"I know how you feel, bro, trust me. But I'm sure this will blow over soon. Just give it some time," said Tails.

Sonic nodded, "Yeah, I guess so,"

Suddenly, there was a loud boom outside followed by several flashes. Tails frowned and turned toward the window as the flashing continued. There was a huge explosion in front of the building. It appeared to be coming from the direction of Central Park. There was a huge robot destroying their city, destroying everyone in sight. They could barely escape alive after that. The robots were everywhere. Everyone seemed to be running as far away from them as possible. The robots blasted everything within their path. The buildings collapsed into piles of rubble. Cars were smashed, and houses were destroyed.

Sonic and Tails got out of the house, and see the figure inside the robot. It was Eggman, the villain who had done such terrible things to the earth for the last six years. He flew above the destruction, his robot hovering above the ground. The robot fired its laser beam into the streets. Buildings crumbled and collapsed into dust.

"I'll stop him. Tails, watch over the town while I go fight him," said Sonic.

Tails nodded and smiled brightly, "Okay! Be careful out there!" Tails waved as he watched his best friend leave through the door.

Sonic used his super speed to run across the street toward the robots, he rolled himself like a ball and smashed these robots to pieces. Sonic jumped back onto the sidewalk and ran along the sidewalk looking for Eggman. It was clear that he had already taken control of the entire city. Sonic could hear screaming and people crying for help. People and animals were fleeing the area while some stayed in their homes or hid somewhere until the robots left. Eggman noticed him.

"Stupid, little hedgehog! I have come here to destroy you, but now you won't let me!" yelled Eggman.

Eggman shot another blast of lasers at Sonic. He dodged the laser blasts and landed on top of an abandoned car. He leaped up to the roof of the car and climbed to the roof. As Eggman fired his laser attack again, Sonic ducked behind an overturned vehicle.

He saw that Eggman was preparing for another blast, and quickly leaped across to the opposite side of the roof. Once again, Eggman fired at the hedgehog and Sonic jumped up, grabbing onto the sides of the metal tube as he swung himself toward the top of the machine. As he reached his destination, he jumped to the top of the death egg bot. He punched the top of the machine and punched a hole, letting out smoke. Eggman shot the hedgehog, but nothing happened. A large hole appeared in the side of the death egg bot.

Eggman cursed angrily as he glared at Sonic. Then he blasted a giant blast of fire toward Sonic, blowing apart the death egg bot. He dodged the blast of fire and landed behind Eggman. He used a spin dash and hit Eggman on his back. Eggman stumbled and fell forward.

Then Sonic kicked him straight in the face and sent him flying backward. Before Eggman could regain his footing, he was met by Sonic, slamming his fist into his chest. Eggman flew backward through the air and crashed against the wall. His robot crashed into the wall as well, shattering completely.

"Give it up, Eggman. You're beaten," Sonic said as he stood proudly in front of the evil man.

"Ha! Do I look defeated?!" Eggman screamed hysterically. Then, Eggman pulled out of the remote and pressed the button to summon E-18 Guerra-Hard. In an instant, he was launched directly toward Sonic. Sonic gasped and quickly hopped back out of the way, avoiding the attack entirely. Eggman pressed his remote to activate his egg mobile to escape before he could be destroyed by the powerful force of E18 Guerra Hard.

"We'll meet again, Sonic. You'll wish you were dead when I find you!" Eggman fled the battle zone.

As Eggman disappeared, Sonic confronted E18 Guerra Hard. The robot shot at Sonic, which he easily dodged.

"I'm not afraid of you! You won't kill me that easily!" Sonic laughed triumphantly.

E18 Guerra Hard blasted out more laser blasts, which Sonic easily avoided.

"This is too easy!" Sonic exclaimed as E18 Guerra Hard fired another laser blast right at him.

E18 punched Sonic in the face, knocking him back against the wall.

"Oww.." Sonic winced in pain, holding his bleeding nose.

As E18 Guerra Hard prepared to punch again, Sonic leaped away and slammed into it hard. E18 stumbled backward, Sonic used his super speed to launch himself onto the robot, punching it in the center of the robot. He kicked it hard and sent it flying to the wall.

Sonic rested his hands on his lap, panting heavily, still feeling slightly dizzy. It took him a moment before he regained his composure and started to walk toward the exit where the dome was cracked open. Suddenly, he stopped dead in his tracks as he recognized a certain green glow behind him.

"No way!" Sonic yelled.

E18 still stood up to its feet, ready to fight.

"Oh, give me your break!" Sonic complained.

The robot ignored Sonic's complaint and prepared to fire at the blue blur.

Sonic didn't have time to fight this condemned robot. He had to get out of the dome.

"Sonic!" he heard Tails yell. He turned around and saw Tails flying toward him with Amy right beside him, both of them riding on a Tornado.

"Amy! Tails!" he exclaimed in joy as he was happy to see them.

"Sonic, take this!" he shouted as he threw a power ring at Sonic he caught it, and Sonic began to power up his energy core.

Sonic rolled himself into a ball and used a spin dash to destroy E18 Guerra Hard with Sonic's powerful spinning attacks, he broke through the abdomen of the robot, causing scrapes and metals to fly all over the place. The circuit began to surge dangerously, causing sparks to shoot out of the machine, as the robot crashed to the ground, completely lifeless.

Amy and Tails flew off of the Tornado and ran toward Sonic if he was alright.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Tails asked in concern, as they came closer.

"Only a few scratches, but I'm okay. Thanks, guys," replied Sonic happily.

"Anytime. The citizen is safe now. Where's Eggman?" asked Tails.

"He escaped. He said he would be back. So... I think we should probably get home soon," stated Sonic.

"Sonic, if you want to walk home with me, we should get married," said Amy excitedly.

"Huh? What? Oh… No, no, we can talk about that later. We should really go before anything else happens," Sonic said nervously as he looked at Tails. "Right, Tails?"

"Well, yeah. I guess you're right," Tails said, sounding a bit uneasy.

-Meanwhile-

Dr. Eggman returned to his lair. He tapped the keypad to open this door and enter his laboratory. The light turned on revealing many computers and machines filled with all kinds of data. It appeared that many projects were being performed at once. The two minions were Orbot and Cubot, they were standing nearby, watching him in anticipation.

"How are things progressing?" he questioned.

"Very smoothly, Sir. Everything is going according to plan," said Orbot.

"Good. Now, the plan to eliminate Sonic has been completed. Now we need to prepare the next phase of our plans. After this, the planet will belong to us!" declared Eggman, as he walked towards one of his computer screens. He looked over several pages of notes in his hand. "But first…. We've got work to do."

"Yes, sir. What would you like us to do, sir?" asked Orbot as he glanced back at Cubot.

"Well… First, we've got to finish the project that yesterday," Eggman told them.

"What kind of project did you start, Sir?" Cubot inquired curiously.

Eggman grinned evilly, "Project Shadow."

"Shadow…?" echoed Orbot quietly as he blinked confused. "Sir… How is that even possible?"

"The hedgehog was able to figure out how to use my technology to repair himself. He managed to get a hold of me, but then he attacked me. That's why we need to get rid of him. If it wasn't for him destroying my robots, this wouldn't have happened," Eggman explained.

"But that is just an old idea, Sir. There is nothing left of those robots except piles of ashes," Cubot reminded him.

"Exactly. I'm going to build another one. But that hedgehog is going to help us destroy him. So you two are going to help me build new robots, and make sure they have as much strength as the previous ones, " ordered Eggman, placing his hand on his shoulder.

"Of course, sir," answered Orbot with a nod.

"So where are we headed to?" asked Cubot.

"To the Prison Island. Prepare my new Eggship and prepare for takeoff. We must leave now," said Eggman.

Project Wish at it’s final stage, and Terios the Hedgehog is born uwu

Soooo just thought I would say this to be completely transparent...

Terios is a synthetic hedgehog like that of Shadow.

Sonic and Shadow reached out to Tails to help them bioengineer a child of their own. However, the 17 year old fox was a bit skeptical about dabbling in biological science... however, he would eventually cave and help them as this was something that seemed extremely important to them. With Rouge’s help, the married hedgehogs got ahold of Professor Gerald’s diary to help give them a blueprint for creating another synthetic lifeform.

The project would be dubbed “Project Wish”. The breakthrough in the project came after about 5 years later, when Tails concluded that Shadow’s Black Arms DNA would be the key component to getting the project up off the ground... The couple were against it, as Black Arms DNA could be incredibly dangerous. However, after some debate, they reluctantly went through with it, and in the end they were presented with a fully stable hedgehog specimen.

When reading through Gerald’s diary, Sonic had discovered some entries that went into details about Maria and her involvement in Project Shadow. He had discovered that Gerald had intended to name the Ultimate Lifeform “Terios”, but Maria had enthusiastically suggested “Shadow” instead. Sonic then suggested Terios to Shadow, who wholeheartedly agreed it would be a very fitting name for their son.

[After doing some research, Neji had discovered that the name Terios is defined to be the greek word for “fulfilling wishes” or “dreams coming true”. We agreed that, not only is this name fitting for Terios himself, but it is also a sweet nod to Maria... as she is the very reason Sonic chose to name him this.]

Day 3: Pumpkin

This is super duper random lol, but I head canon that Shadow would actually be good with kids. That he'd be surprisingly patient with them. I just get good dad vibes from him I guess! lol So, anyway, here's this lil drabble for Sonadowtober!

Mid-afternoon light glinted and reflected off of Shadow’s wedding band as he grabbed one last cup of cracked corn. He carried his precious bounty carefully, lest he spill one precious fleck of yellow. The last thing he wanted to do was catch Ruby’s ire. The three year old bat was as sassy as her mother and just as quick to anger as her father.

“Did you get it?” Sonic asked as he approached, the toddler on his hip only momentarily pacified by a bag of popcorn.

“Last one.”

“Thank Chaos.”

Shadow held the cup out to the pink bat. Violet eyes regarded him suspiciously before snagging the corn and wiggling from Sonic's grasp to the ground. The hero barely managed to catch the bag of forgotten popcorn as the girl darted to the fenced in goats she’d been so desperate to feed again.

Almost instantly the couple could hear bubbling laughter and squeals as the goats licked and tickled Ruby’s hand. Sonic grabbed a handful of popcorn before passing the bag to Shadow. “Want some?”

Shadow dipped his hand in the bag and popped a few kernels in his mouth, chewing thoughtfully as they watched their young ward. “Did Rouge say when they would be back?”

“Sometime tonight.”

“That’s vague.”

“I think she did it on purpose so she and Knux could do their thing as long as possible and not technically be late.”

Shadow huffed under his breath. “Sounds about right.”

“Why? You gettin’ tired old man? Ready to call it?” Sonic teased, reaching for the cart they’d been dragging across the pumpkin patch’s many areas of entertainment.

“Hmph. I could outlast you any day.”

“Uh huh, sure. We’ll see about that.”

Suddenly Shadow’s hand was pulled and he looked down into violet eyes that were exact replicas of his husband’s best friend’s. “More,” the girl demanded.

“That’s it. It's all gone,” Sonic said, trying to keep the nervousness from his tone. Ruby’s fits were like nothing he’d ever encountered before. He’d rather battle badniks any day.

Sure enough the girl’s bottom lip poked out, her little fists clenching, eyes welling with tears--

“Would Her Majesty like a ride in her royal carriage?” Shadow asked suddenly, surprising Sonic as well as Ruby. The dark hedgehog gestured grandly at the meshed metal cart.

The toddler’s posture immediately relaxed. “And you’ll be my horsey!”

Shadow let out a fake, painfully terrible neigh, and Ruby laughed in delight as she clambered into the cart. “Mush, horse!”

“Ruby, that’s what you say to--”

One look from Shadow and Sonic quickly shut his mouth.

In true horsey fashion Shadow trotted briskly over the fresh laid gravel, toward the sprawling field of green on the other side of the farm. Some people stared in confusion and surprise, but Shadow didn’t care. Ruby was giggling and clapping her hands, and the sound of it was somehow… addictive. It was so light and bubbly and joy filled that his heart leapt and he couldn’t fight the easy smile that bloomed across his face.

He slowed as the ground turned to uneven soil. “We have arrived, Your Majesty,” Shadow said with a deep bow.

Sonic helped the girl out of the cart, expecting her to let go of his hand and race off, but she didn’t. Instead she squeezed it tighter and reached for Shadow’s, leading them both down the dusty path between rows of large orange pumpkins.

Sonic watched his husband, never having quite seen this side of him before. Shadow could come off as distant, aloof, and cold, and while Sonic knew he was actually quite the opposite, it was rare that he outwardly showed his true self. He’d been worried when Rouge had asked them to watch the young bat for the afternoon since neither he, or Shadow, had experience with young kids, but it was turning out to be… enlightening.

Beside him Shadow spoke of the magical properties of this or that pumpkin, while Ruby nodded excitedly and asked question after question. Each time Shadow was incredibly patient, never faltering in his whimsical responses and Sonic felt something stir inside himself.

There was something about watching the interaction unfolding before him that made him want for something he’d never given much thought to…

A kid.

Their kid.

Ruby released their hands and knelt on the ground to wrap her arms around her chosen pumpkin lovingly. Sonic couldn’t resist the urge to do the same to his chosen partner, wrapping his arms around Shadow just as tenderly. He kissed a tan cheek. “We could have one y’know,” he whispered.

He felt Shadow tense, the agent instinctively sensing that Sonic wasn’t talking about a pumpkin, but then dark arms returned his embrace. Together they watched Ruby pat her pumpkin and cheerfully proclaim its name to be Orangesaurus.

“Okay,” Shadow said softly, pressing his lips lightly to Sonic’s. “Let’s talk.”
