Weekend treat: make it to the last day of an art exhibition of Lautrec at Sompo Museum and pop in a Nordic festival after being disoriented in Shinjuku's underground maze!

Since there is a duplicate of a poster by Lautrec on the wall of our living room, my dad persuaded me to go to an art exhibition about the painter together. We made it to the end of it just three days before. I was simply delighted to come to Tokyo for the first time in months and visit Sompo Museum of Art, which was refurbished, for the first time.

There were so many of his early sketches on display, and we could see his point of view in them. （For all his talent,）as most of them looked like children's scribbles in a notebook, I considered that anything left could become valuable objects in museums which we weren't allowed to touch nor take photos of as long as a person was notable. I mean, I recalled the 1964 essay "The Artworld" by Arthur Danto and imagined if I were acknowledged by the society, my letters to friends of mine would turn into exhibits; and pondered he must not have envisioned such would be seen by a lot of people in Japan.

Anyway, his depiction of humans was like a caricature, and he seemed to value shape of body parts in particular, I learned. Besides, I liked strong shading in his drawings of performers on stage. That succeeded in bringing an aura of cabarets.

On the other hand, most of his work is planar, so line and color shine out, which is committed well to his graphics in a modern way. Every poster looked fashionable, indeed. I took to his way of using and choosing color. Accent color in his pictures is usually in between vibrant and pale.

In my opinion, Japanese people tend to like Modern art in terms of color palette rather than religious paintings or Renaissance art. They including me seem to have a strong/subconscious desire for bright color.

Finally, the last room was the permanent exhibition dedicated to single piece of art, one of Gogh's Sunflowers. This was what I had been longing to see in person, because it and also inside this art museum actually appeared in a Detective Conan movie "Sunflowers of Inferno"（2015）. The painting was much bigger than I'd expected.

After this, dad and I stopped by a Nordic festival taking place in Keio Department Store, Shinjuku, on our way home. I enjoyed exploring the stands and looking Finnish kitchenware smelling the Scandinavian food cooking in the vicinity.

国立西洋美術館

憧憬の地ブルターニュ　モネ、ゴーガン、黒田清輝らが見た異郷　展

東京・上野

　初っ端からウィリアム・ターナー入れてくるのが上手い。イギリスのグランドツアーの話からブルターニュへ旅に出る画家の話を始める。元々グランドツアーはイギリスに歴史的な遺跡が少ないことを理由に、英国富裕層が海外の異文化への憧れを持ち発生したもの。本企画展でターナーを初めに見せることで、画家たちがブルターニュという異文化を求めたことを最初に提示してるだろな。

　ブルターニュは現在フランス領だが、元々はブルトン語という独自言語を持つブルターニュ公国という独立国だった。フランス植民地となりのちにフランス革命中に併合される。画家たちがこの地をテーマとし描くのは、元々フランスではなく別の文化を持つ国という歴史を持っていたこ��が重要だったのだろう。それこそ、　「異郷」　なんだろうね。

リュシアン・シモン　「庭の集い」

　天才の明暗〜〜！！！明らかに自然光ではなく照明なのが目を惹く。画面左側に人物が集中しており、更に色彩も寒色の中に暖色で目立つ！画面の構成がめちゃくちゃ良かった。

　黒田清輝など日本人画家の絵もたくさん展示されてるのが後者のブルターニュ展と比較して特徴的。白馬会だけでなく不同舎の面々も。

　あとアンリ・リヴィエールが結構あった。浮世絵に影響を受けて木版画とか描いてた画家。空の感じとか広重の影響がま〜わかりやすい。リトグラフの色が美しい。

ブルターニュの光と風　画家たちを魅了したフランス〈辺境の地〉　展

東京・新宿

アルフレッド・ギユ　「さらば！」

　これを最初の展示室にバーンと置いてあるインパクト。嵐で転覆し、生き絶えた息子に別れのキスをする父親の絵。原題だと「Adieu！」で軽い挨拶ではなく長い別れを意味する言葉。しかも語源がさぁ〜「a Dieu」神の御許へって意味で完全に祈りの言葉な訳で……画家本人がタイトル付けたかわからないけどめちゃくちゃ良いと思います。

　嵐という気候から始まるのが面白い。荒波���特徴的な場所らしいね。ブルターニュという土地を詳しく説明してるのはこっちだと思う。独立云々の話もこっちで解説してた。

　アンリ・ジャン・ギョーム・マルタン　「ブルターニュの海」

マルタンの絵があったのは嬉しい収穫。新印象派主義のマルタン好き。構図自体は簡潔だけど色彩と筆致でしっかりとした絵に仕上げてくる技量、見まして？天才ですよ。

　SOMPO美術館、最後にゴッホのひまわりが置いてあるんですけど同じ部屋にポール・ゴーギャンの　「アリスカンの並木樹、アルル」　が展示されてて思想を感じて面白かった。ゴッホに寄り添いすぎ。

2024後記

2025年になってようやう2024年を終わらせる。tumblrに書くのももうお仕舞にしよう。

・アーティゾンの空間と作品は面白かった。作品をどういう空間で見るのか。ホワイトキューブから離れて、空間そのものを作り、その中で作品を見る。夏の直島でも思ったけれどロケーションによってかなり作品の見方や感じ方が変わる。

・メゾンエルメスの内藤礼生まれておいで生きておいでを��ゾンエルメスというブランドの抱えるギャラリー内でやる。ここも平日なのに人が多い。内藤礼の作品を見るには騒がしすぎると思う。概念も。

・伊藤ゲン展は、SNSでみるものと生で見るものとかなり印象が違う。生の方が圧倒的に生々しいというか（あたりまえである）書いているものが身近なものであるということを差し引いても、絵の具の乗り方が生活感をより彷彿とさせるというか。美味しそうなケーキも描いていると食欲を吸い取られているのか、食べたい気持ちがなくなるそう。描かれるためだけに買われて捨てられる食べ物をもったいないと思う気持ちと、半永遠に姿をとどめられてしまったのだなぁという気持ちと。

・田中一村展、都美術館はオタクのぬい文化を取り入れようとしていて面白かったが、ちょっと曲解ぎみじゃないか？というのは置いておいて、圧巻だった。時間が解けていくが体力も削られていく。奄美大島は遠いので、都内でこれほどまでに集めてもらえたことに本当に感謝。

・松濤美術館の空の発見展、日本画には西洋のあれそれが入るまで描かれる空そらがない。空くうならある。

・Cool氏Solo exhibition　犬のかたち様々。ジョジョ立ちのような人物立体（作家本人も自覚アリ）

・写美アレック・ソス部屋についての部屋、数年前の葉山がかなりロケーション含めて最高だったので、ハイライトだけでものたりない。テーマも面白いかと言われると、葉山を見た後だと、別に…葉山で見たいように見てしまったし。でも最近の作品が見られたのは良かった。今後すべてを葉山の展覧会と比べてしまうだろう。

・オペラシティ松谷武判展、ボンドと黒。ボンド作品は卵のような生の予感と、それが弾けた瞬間のグロテスクさを思わせる。黒は時間も空間も全てを埋めていく。

・SOMPO美術館カナレットとヴェネツィアの輝き展、カナレットの絵画は近づいてみるとより輝きを増す。ヴェネツィアの光。絵のための虚構込み。でも後半のウォルター・シッカートのヴェネツィアの絵画で、この暗さが落ち着くんだよなと思った。光は好きだけれど、眩しい。

・森美術館ルイーズ・ブルジョワ展ルイーズのキンとした声質がどこかビョークに似ていると思った。作品がかなり理性的というか、この人はものすごく思考の言語化が上手くて（というかそういうことを している）それが作品を見たときにストンと落ちてくるので、意味が分からないグロテスクさがないのが清々しいというか。内容としては過去の自分の心のケア的な要素が大きいので、別に清々しいものではないのだけれど。

・東京ステーションギャラリーテレンス・コンラン展はやっぱりコンランショップが当たり前になってしまうと、当時のセンセーショナルさ目新しさなどを失ってしまい、当たり前の光景だと感じてしまうので現代人にとって感動はしにくい。当時を振り返って、すごかったんだね、というにもまだ感慨がいまいちわかない。あと、彼について語る人の映像が多いとちょっと疲れる。

・科学博物館鳥展、キウイの卵って大きいんだ！シマエナガって思ったより小さいんだ！など鳥のことを何も知らないゆえに純粋に面白かった。

・三菱一号館美術館ロートレックとソフィ・カルの「不在」正直ロートレックは取ってつけたような不在すぎる気もする。もっと面白い見せ方があったのではないか、と。作品が分散しすぎな気もするね。ソフィ・カルは文句なしでよかったので、ソフィ・カル単体でやってほしかった。品川の原美術館で見たときが忘れられない。ソフィ・カルやっていまいちにする方が逆にすごいので、どんな展示でも嬉しいが、でもあれ混雑したら翻訳書いてある紙が少なくて、意味わかる人少なくない？と余計なことを思った。ソフィ・カルがいいから内容は満足だけど、キュレーションとしてはいまいちじゃない？

・松濤美術館須田悦弘展、美大時の初期の作品もあり、ここから今に至るというのを感じられた。これを木からひとつひとつ掘り出しているのか～さりげないところに作品が置いてあって、館とわりとあっていてよかった。夏のベネッセにもあったが、あまりにもさりげなさ過ぎて、やはり気付く人が少なそう。知っていないと見つけられなそうだが、ここはちゃんとマップがあるので安心。

・印刷博物館の書籍用紙の世界、色々な紙がある（阿保みたいな感想）

・庭園美術館そこに光が降りてくる青木野枝/三嶋りつ恵、これほどまでに館と一体になった展示があっただろうかと感動した。久しぶりに庭園美術館の展示内容がよかったと感じた。ここ最近は庭園美術館は建物系の展示ばかりで正直惹かれないというか予算ないのかな？と思っていた。ガラスを扱う人は、ある程度ガラスを柔らかな素材だと認識している節があるなと思った。年始ごろ？に見た山野アンダーソン陽子さんは確か液体だと言っていた。鉄も円形にくりぬかれ、光を通すと明るい印象になるんだね。どちらも火が大事。

・文化学園服飾博物館あつまれ！動物の模様その国その文化によって描かれる動物は勿論違う。服装を通してさまざまな文化を覗いている。中国語って面白いね。発音が同じだから縁起物になるという。

・府中市美術館小西真奈Wherever初期の作品の緻密に描かれたものから感じられる不穏さよりも、近年の作品の線や色の伸びやかさ（ここにいくまでにきちんと描いてきたという下積みはもちろん感じる）が好ましいと思う。

感情は生モノなので、振り返っても忘れている。何もかもを忘れていく。

5月22日 ずっと眠い東京出張の1日。 待たされ時間も含めて5時間、新宿の西口をうろうろした。 重い荷物が今日は一段と重たい体感で、気持ちよく散歩もできず、ただへとへとと移動し続けてしまった。 ナチュラルローソンのコバトンは一羽いなくなっていた。 西口の大きくて綺麗で、犬を連れたり、会社のランチ会でピクニックイベントをしたり、リモートワークをしたり、お昼寝をしたり、まっすぐコクーンタワーを見つめながらお弁当を食べている人々のいる公園に行った。 ナイアガラの滝があった(これが？！あの？)。 バラも咲いていた！

本当はSOMPO美術館の北欧絵画の展示を観たかったけれど、次にも打ち合わせが控えていて心に余裕がなく行けなかった。 帰りの電車で嘘みたいに眠って、早く帰れたから何もしないで寝てしまおう！と思ったのに、掃除をしたり���け時計を掛けようとしてできなかったり、リモートでお仕事をしてしまった。

明日満月を控えた月が窓の外に出ている。 何をしたいか具体的なことは思いつかないのだけれど、ただ「写真のことをしたい！」と頭に中に文字が浮かび続けている。何もできなくて虚しくなるだけなのに。

いいちこのポスターの新作を見つけられることくらいが、東京の良いところです。今のところ。

5月23日 今日は満月。 もう無理なので、来月は土日も出勤してお仕事をするつもりで今するべきことに少し余裕を持たせることにした。でも本当良くない。

もうすぐ閉店するスーパーは、どんどん売り場が縮小されていって、生鮮食品以外は売り切れおしまいの感じで日々焦ってしまう。 干しエビとか海苔とかごまとか調味料とか、日々摂取したいものがどんどん無くなっていっていて焦る。すりごまは金から売り切れてしまい、残りは白、黒の順で少ない。

写真のことしたいです。

5月24日 今日は金曜日だからみんな優しかったし、みんなの優しさを受け入れる事ができた気がする。 避けられている上席の方から、一言の会話を持ちかけられて「！」と緊張したり、ちょっと褒めてもらって素直に嬉しかったり、良くしてもらっている職員さんと良い話ができたり、2年前の上席の方と朝の駅ですれ違って挨拶できたり、朝起きた時に絶望的に体調が悪くても、今日出勤しなくては月曜日に運ばなくてはいけない書類を作ることも持ち帰ることもできない！！と出かける事ができた。 できてしまった。

先週失敗された採血の腕がまだ荷物を持ったりすると痛くて青まま、来週の健康診断でまた採血をする。

【ゴッホと静動画】SOMPO美術館〜1/21迄

損害保険大手SOMPOホールディングスの子会社で住宅リフォーム事業を手掛けるフレッシュハウス（横浜市、森田亮社長）が、下請け業者から徴収している「安全協力費」を自社の収益として計上し、不適切なかたちで流用していることがわかった。 安全協力費は工事における事故防止のための安全講習会費用などに充てるもので、下請け業者から工事代金の1％程度を会費として徴収することが、建設業界の一般的な慣行として根付いている。 SOMPOによると、フレッシュハウスが安全協力会を設置したのは2016年4月のこと。それ以前も安全意識の向上などを名目に下請け業者から会費を徴収していたが、2015年にSOMPOが買収したことを機に、収支の透明化を図るなどの目的で設置したという。 会費を負担している下請け業者は現在728社、年間の会費収入は平均で3100万円に上る。 内部告発文が今年7月に届いた 不適切流用が発覚したきっかけは今年7月、SOMPOの首脳陣宛てに届いた内部告発文だった。会費の収支報告が下請け各社になされておらず、使途が不明確という内容だったという。 SOMPO側が調査したところ、会費のおよそ半分が、講習会などの事故防止の取り組みとは関係のない、工事のやり直し費用や賠償金といった「クレーム関連費用」に充てられていることが判明した。 SOMPOが外部の弁護士に依頼し、さらに実態調査を進めたところ、安全協力会の理事を務める数社の下請け業者にしか会費の収支報告がなされておらず、さらに会費を管理する口座を分けずにフレッシュハウスの営業外収益として決算に計上していることもわかった。不適切な流用の総額は約1億4400万円にも上る。 加えて、会費徴収のため下請け業者に署名させている文書の文言が、意図的に修正されていることも、調査によって露見した。
