Chasing the calm

Boone was a force of nature. Not in the way that a tornado was but in the way he approached life. Every day was an adventure, every moment an opportunity for excitement, and every challenge a chance to prove that nothing could bring him down. His energy was infectious, his grin a permanent fixture on his face, and his voice carried through the storm chasing headquarters with a vibrancy that rivaled the wind itself. And then there was you. You were the calm in the eye of the storm. While Boone thrived on adrenaline, you found solace in the numbers, the data, the intricate patterns that made sense of the chaos. You could sit for hours, pouring over weather models, programming algorithms that predicted the unpredictable, all without a word. You needed the quiet, the solitude, the focus. Boone was a wildfire; you were the gentle, steady rain. It was a wonder to anyone who knew you both how the two of you had ended up together.
âHey, babe! You gotta see this!â Booneâs voice boomed across the room as he burst through the door, clutching a tablet with the latest storm report. You didnât look up. âBoone, Iâm workingâ you replied, your tone measured, not unkind but firm. Your eyes remained fixed on your screen, numbers and graphs reflecting in your glasses. Boone bounded over anyway, dropping into the chair beside you with the enthusiasm of a golden retriever. He leaned in close, too close, his breath warm against your ear. âCâmon, just take a look! This supercellâs got the potential to be the biggest one of the season! We gotta get out there and see it in action!â. You sighed, finally turning to meet his sparkling eyes. âAnd by âwe,â you mean you want to drag me out of my perfectly quiet, controlled environment to chase another storm with you?â. He grinned, completely unbothered by your lack of enthusiasm. âExactly! Itâs gonna be awesome!â.
You stared at him for a moment, then shook your head with a small, affectionate smile. Boone was relentless, but it was part of what you loved about him. His energy, his passion. It was everything you werenât, but maybe that was why it worked. He was the spark that kept you from getting too lost in your world of data. And you, in turn, were the anchor that kept him grounded when his excitement threatened to send him spiraling. âIâll think about itâ you said, knowing full well that Boone would be back to ask again in five minutes if you didnât give him a definitive answer. He beamed, leaning in to press a quick, soft kiss to your cheek. âYouâre the best, you know that?â. You hummed in response, trying to suppress the warmth that bloomed in your chest at his touch. âJust let me finish this analysis first, okay? Weâll talk afterâ. Boone hopped up from his seat, still buzzing with energy. âDeal! But donât take too long, weâve got storms to catch!â. As he bounced out of the room, you couldnât help but chuckle softly to yourself. Boone was a lot, and sometimes it was exhausting just trying to keep up with him. But as you turned back to your work, you realized that your heart felt lighter, your thoughts a little less heavy. His excitement was contagious, even when you tried to resist it.
The hours passed, and before you knew it, Boone was back. He was quieter this time, almost tentative as he approached. âHeyâ he said, softer now. âYou ready?â. You looked up at him, at the boyish excitement still lingering in his eyes, and felt the corners of your mouth lift into a smile. âYeah, Iâm readyâ. The two of you headed out to the van, Boone practically bouncing as he drove, his fingers tapping on the steering wheel in time with the music blasting from the speakers. You let your head rest against the window, the rhythmic thrum of the engine a comfort as you watched the landscape blur by. It wasnât long before the sky darkened, the telltale signs of a storm brewing on the horizon. Booneâs energy shifted, his excitement now laced with focus as he started navigating the roads with practiced precision.
âSee that?â Boone pointed out the windshield, his voice hushed with awe. âThatâs gonna be one hell of a stormâ. You nodded, your analytical mind already processing the data. But even as you did, you couldnât help but steal glances at Boone. The way his eyes lit up, the sheer joy he got from the chase, it was a sight to behold. âYou really love this, donât you?â you murmured, more to yourself than to him. Boone caught your words and smiled, reaching out to take your hand. âYeah, I do. But you know what I love more?â. You raised an eyebrow, waiting for the inevitable cheesy line. âYouâ he said simply, squeezing your hand. âI love that youâre here with me, even though I know youâd rather be back in the lab. I love that youâre willing to put up with all this crazy because you know how much it means to meâ.
Your heart skipped a beat, the sincerity in his voice catching you off guard. You squeezed his hand back, feeling that familiar warmth spread through you. âYouâre worth itâ you admitted, your voice barely above a whisper. Booneâs grin was as bright as the lightning flashing in the distance. âYou know, I think we balance each other out pretty wellâ. You nodded, leaning over to rest your head on his shoulder as he drove. âYeah, I think so tooâ.
As the storm raged outside, you found a strange sort of peace in the chaos. Boone was your storm, wild and unpredictable, and you were his calm, steady and unwavering. Together, you made sense of the madness. And in that moment, as the thunder roared and the rain poured down, you knew there was nowhere else youâd rather be.

guilty conscience - matthew tkachuk
flames!matthew tkachuk x draisaitl!fem! reader pt.2
summary: you and matthew continue to sneak around, and leon figures out that something is up
warnings: langauge, mention of violence, implied smut, continuity is questionable because i didnât plan to write a part two đ
, unrealistic leon behaviour
word count: 3.3k (oops) part one is here
it wasnât even a month before the oilers and the flames met again, this time at home in edmonton. calgary being in town meant that matthew tkachuk was in town, and you thought back to that first night you had found yourself tangled up with the rival teams player; and all the times after. the two hour drive never stopped him from texting or calling after a tough loss, inviting you over to help him let off some steam. this quickly turned into meeting up to celebrate wins as well, and in the short few weeks since your first meeting, you felt as if you had spent more time in matthews bed than your own.
âare you gonna be at the game tonight?â he asked as he got dressed, staying at your place rather than a hotel; he would be sleeping there anyway.
âyes, but i am obligated to cheer for the oilers as long as my brother is on their team,â you laughed. leon had gotten you tickets for the game like he always did, the two of you having made up only a few days after the incident happened. however the thrill of sneaking around with matthew hadnât worn off, even though you were no longer doing it to get back at your brother.
âhow much would i have to pay you to wear my jersey to the game?â he teased, wrapping his arms around your waist as you pulled your t-shirt over your head.
âmore money than your contract,â you replied. âif the crowd didnât mob me, i think iâd be disowned by my family.â
matthew placed a kiss on your lips with a smile, and you fixed his curls that you had spent the last half hour tangling your fingers through.
âthatâs too bad. youâd look hot wearing my number.â
âi wouldnât look hot in the body bag theyâd have to carry me out in. nevermind if leon found out why i was wearing it. youâd be in the back of the hearse with me.â
âas fun as that sounds,â he joked. âi have a game in a few days so-â you interrupted him with a kiss.
âdonât worry. iâll secretly be cheering for you,â you smiled. âyouâre more fun to hang out with when you win.â
âhey,â he warned with a chuckle. âi gotta go, but iâll meet you here after the game? we probably shouldnât leave togetherâŠâ
âyouâre probably right. itâs already suspicious enough that you told the team you were staying with a friend instead of at the hotel with them.â
âis it so hard to believe i might have a friend?â he laughed, putting his shoes on to leave.
âsometimes,â you joked. âgood luck,â you smiled as he snuck out of your apartment, shaking your head as you began to get ready to go to the game.
âą
despite you wishing him good luck, the game went in favour of the oilers, this time the flames falling to edmonton in a 1-0 loss. at one point calgary had scored a goal to tie the game but it was waved off for interference.
your eyes met matthews on the bench, and you could tell he was frustrated as he slid his mouthguard back over his teeth. after the game ended, you went to meet up with leon backstage, the edmonton player in a significantly better mode than the last time you had seen him. he greeted you with a hug, and you returned it with a smile, but a sinking feeling sprouted in your stomach.
âhey, itâs good to see you,â your brother smiled, and you smiled back.
âyou too. good game,â you commented, the words tasting funny in your mouth as you realized you didnât mean them; and part of you wished calgary had won.
âyeah, a little bit of payback is nice. to bad we couldnât get a few more goals, but iâll take it,â he laughed. payback, you thought; thatâs what matthew had been.
you werenât sure thatâs all it was anymore.
âą
another month went by, the season nearing the midway point now. you scrolled through your phone as you waited for matthew to get out of the shower. you had spent the last few days at his house while the flames played a five game homestand, winning all but one; which meant matty was in a good mood going into the third matchup between the two alberta teams this season tonight. a message popped up on the screen, and you bit your lip as you replied to your brother.
you hated lying to him, and youâd found yourself doing it more and more the closer you and matthew became. you couldnât exactly tell him that you werenât even in edmonton at the moment, instead two hours away after spending the week with a man he hated.
a man who you had fallen for; and fallen hard.
the man in question had the nerve to walk out of the bathroom in just a towel around his waist, hung low on his hips as the warm air rushed out of the bathroom and tickled your legs as you sat on the edge of his bed. he walked over and placed a kiss on the top of your head, quickly noticing your expression.
âwhatâs up?â matt asked, his eyebrows furrowed at the upset look on your face.
ânothing, itâs just leon.â
âdid he say something to you?â he asked, his fist clenching slightly at his side.
âno, nothing like that,â you assured him as you looked up to meet his eyes, his gaze softening and his jaw unclenching as he relaxed. âi just hate lying to him aboutâŠâ
ââŠus?â
âyeah. it was kind of fun at first, and now iâm just worried whatâs gonna happen when he does find out. more so worried about what heâs going to do to you,â you admitted.
âcome on, sneaking around is still a little bit fun,â he teased, and you managed to crack a smile. sometimes, you thought. âitâll be okay, we will figure it out when we get to that point.â
âi donât want him to kill you,â you said, taking his hand in yours, you fingers playing with his absentmindedly. âwhich is a real possibility-â you laughed.
âiâll be fine. come on, the guys might kill me if im late for the game.â
âą
you were only thirty minutes through the two hour drive back to edmonton when your phone rang, leonâs name popping up on the screen. panicking slightly, you answered it, matthew glancing over from behind the wheel as your leg shook anxiously.
âhey, leon.â
âwhere are you?â he asked, no hello. not good, you thought, trying not to freak out.
âwhat?â you asked, hoping to find out why he was asking.
âwhere are you?â
âon my way to the arena,â that at least was true. âwhy whatâs-â
âbullshit, your car is at home.â
âwhat - you drove by my house? why?â
âbecause youâve been hiding something. why are you in calgary?â he asked, and your heart pounded in your chest. your phone location must have been left on by accident.
âi was visiting a friend-â
âwithout your car?â
âi got a ride - oh my god. youâre my brother not my dad, i donât need to tell you where i am all the time.â
âwhy didnât you tell me you were out of town when i texted you this morning?â
ânot that i have to explain myself, leon, but i didnât feel like typing it all out and i had just woken up.â with each lie you told, you knew you were burying yourself in a hole that was becoming harder and harder to dig out of.
âiâm not sure i believe you.â
âyou donât have to, but itâs the truth.â half true, you thought.
âif you say so.â
âwhatever. iâll see you after the game.â you hung up the phone and ran your hands over your face.
âiâm scared to askâŠâ
âhe knows something is up,â you sighed. âiâm so dead. weâre both dead-â
âhey, just breathe okay?â his hand rested on your thigh reassuringly.
âwe just have to be really careful.â
âbaby, heâs gonna find out eventually. maybe it would be better if he found out sooner than later,â he suggested. in the short two months you had been with matthew, you werenât sure exactly when it changed from just hooking up to something more. âunless you want to just stop and pretend this never happened...â he said, his jaw stiffening.
âis that what you want?â your heart beat sped up, but you breathed a soft sigh of relief as he shook his head.
âno, thatâs not what i meant at all. as much as you might think i do, i donât actually want to cause problems between you and your family,â he laughed, and once again you found yourself cracking a smile despite the situation.
âi like you a lot, matthew,â you admitted. âi donât care what he says to me, heâs my brother and heâll get over it. iâm just worried what heâll do to you.â
âdonât worry about me. do you really think heâd be that mad that weâre dating?â
ââŠare we dating?â you asked for clarification. youâd never really discussed it.
âi mean .. youâve been at my house for the last week. i kind of thought that made it clear that i want to be with you,â he shrugged with a smile.
âyou do?â
âof course i do. did you think i didnât?â
âi donât know. maybe,â you laughed, and his hand squeezed your thigh.
âdoes that mean weâre dating?â
âyes, i guess it does,â you smiled, leaning over to kiss him softly.
âą
you cheered internally for calgary as the game went on, sending matthew a smile as your eyes met his. the shared looks between you and the calgary flame didnât go unnoticed by edmontons number 29, and he had to restrain himself from ramming matthew into the boards whenever they shared the ice. leon noticed how everytime the flames scored, matthew was looking for you in the stands. although you werenât outwardly celebrating, you were happy the flames were winning. sure, leon would be pissed, but he could get over it.
you felt bad that once again, matthew had taken priority in your life over your brother, but you only wanted them to lose when they played calgary, so you didnât feel too bad.
the game ended with calgary winning 5 - 2, and you tried not to look too happy as you waited for leon to get out of the dressing room. when he did, he was in a mood again, this time not because of the loss, but because of the way he had caught tkachuk staring at his little sister.
âhey,â you greeted him.
âhey. iâm sorry about how i acted on the phone earlier,â he apologized, greeting you with a hug that surprised you slightly. âyouâre right, you donât have to tell me where you are all the time.â
âthank you. iâm sorry about the game.â his face dropped and he shrugged, his eyes catching sight of a familiar head of curls down the hall. leonâs anger got the best of him, and he marched toward matthew and tapped him on the shoulder, causing him to turn around.
âi donât know if youâre just trying to piss me off, but quit looking at my sister and focus on the game, yeah?â he warned, and matthew looked slightly confused, his eyes glancing to you as you shook your head behind leon. your brother poked his shoulder to gain his attention back. âdonât look at her.â
âmaybe youâre the one who should focus on the game. remember which team won,â matthew laughed, and you could tell this was not going to end well.
âleon, just leave it. are you really gonna pick a fight with someone for looking at me?â you knew they didnât get along, but this was beyond what youâd expected.
âwhen heâs a prick like this guy-â
âleon! enough,â you pulled on his arm. âletâs just go home before you do something you regret.â
âi wouldnât regret it,â he said stepping closer till he was nearly face to face with matthew. you could tell that matt was keeping quiet for your sake, and you appreciated it as you stared in disbelief at your brother. he had never been this overprotective before, and you barely recognized him.
âwhat the hell has gotten into you? iâm sorry you lost but you donât get to act like an asshole because of it. youâre making a scene.â
you stepped in between them, pushing leon back from matthew and putting some much needed space between them.
âwhy are you defending him?â
âwhy are you acting like this? youâre being ridiculous!
âwhy is he looking at you like that? why did he spend the whole game watching you?â
âwho cares?â you argued, as you felt everything crumbling around you. leon glanced from you to matthew, who stood back and kept his mouth shut for your sake.
âwho were you with in calgary?â leon asked, starting to connect the dots in his head.
âleon-â
âwho. were. you. with?â he demanded.
âitâs none of your business who i was with!â
leon wasnât listening anymore, instead staring a hole into matthew, who if looks could kill would be six feet underground.
âitâs not enough to be an jerk on the ice, you have to go and get with my sister just to piss me off?â leon took a step towards the younger man, your hands on his chest doing little to slow him down. matthew opened his mouth to speak, but you did first.
âit wasnât like that leon,â you defended your boyfriend. âit was my idea.â leon stopped, looking down at you with wide eyes.
âtell me youâre joking right now-â he spoke calmly, but you knew he was anything but calm, which made it even scarier.
âiâm not,â you said. âi went to him.â
âhow long?â his jaw clenched as he stared at you, his eyes filled with hatred; for you or matthew you werenât so sure anymore.
âit doesnât matter - itâs not gonna change how much you hate me right now,â you said, hoping that he would just let it go. no such luck.
âhow long?â he repeated.
âsince november.â
âyouâve been sleeping with my sister for two months?â he yelled at matthew, his raised voice drawing the attention of a few other players from each team as they left their locker rooms. âand you-â he poked your shoulder harshly. âyouâve been lying to me about it for 2 months? everytime you told me you were busy or had plans - you were with him?â he said, a disgusted look on his face.
âiâm sorry,â you pleaded as tears began to well in your eyes.
âwhy did you do it? why him?â
âi knew it would piss you off,â you said honestly. âafter that game in november you were so rude to me, and i know it was wrong, but i wanted to get back at you somehow. but itâs not about that anymore, leon. i really like him.â
âwere you ever going to tell me?â
âyes, i promise. i just knew how you would react-â he scoffed, interrupting you.
âyou mean how i would react to finding out that my little sister got with a guy she knows i donât like just to make me mad?â
âit sounds really bad when you say it like that,â you looked down at the floor as leon laughed in disbelief.
âit sounds really bad? it is bad!â he snapped. matthew tried to send the few calgary players who had gathered away, assuring them that he was fine and he didnât need their help. a few edmonton players lingered outside their locker room as well, aware of who you were and wondering what was going on.
âiâm sorry,â you repeated.
âi would expect something like this from him, but you? this is a new low. maybe you two are perfect for eachother.â leon began to walk away, and you called after him.
âplease, leon. i know it was wrong, but itâs not up to you who i date.â he stopped, but didnât turn around.
âyouâre right,â he said coldly. âi just think itâs best that you stay away from me for a while.â your heart broke as you realized just how bad you had screwed up. âand get him out of my sight before i decide not to be so nice.â
matthews arms wrapped around your waist from behind as you watched leon walk away with his teammates, and you turned around to bury your face in the crook of his neck.
âiâm sorry,â he mumbled, kissing the top of your head as you cried, your arms thrown around his shoulders.
âheâll get over it eventually,â you sniffled. âthank you for not saying anything to piss him off even more.â he laughed, his chest shaking lightly as he rubbed your back.
âi try to be on my best behaviour,â he teased. the few flames players that had been lingering around came over to check on you and matthew, one of them you recognized as matthewâs friend sam bennett.
âbest behaviour my ass,â he joked. âleave it to you to stir up drama with draisaitl.â
âhey,â matthew warned lightly, but you laughed.
âtwo draisaitlâs actually. leon is my brother.â
âthat explains it,â sam said, patting matthew on the shoulder. âgood work, genius.â
âit was a mutual agreement to piss him off, for the record.â matthew defended himself.
âwell,â sam said, looking in the direction that leon had gone. âlooks like it worked.â
matthew punched his shoulder with a laugh, and you felt a smile creep onto your face despite everything.
âyou wanna come for drinks with us?â one of the other flames asked, and you looked at matthew for his answer.
âwhat do you say? you officially switching sides?â he joked, and you shook your head with a laugh.
âwhat the hell, sure,â you agreed. matthew smiled, kissing you softly as the guys cheered. you followed them hand in hand with matthew as you walked you to his car, a bittersweet feeling in your chest.
leon had reacted about as well as you thought he would, but he hadnât killed matthew, so that was a plus. you just worried for the next time they played eachother; but that wasnât for weeks. maybe leon would calm down by then.
the older draisaitl watched from across the parking lot as you laughed with matthew and his friends.
âi know it sucks that she lied to you, but she looks happy,â connor mcdavid offered. leon simply shot him a glare, and he didnât mention it again as connor got into the car without another word.
he hated that he was right; you did look happy. eventually he would get over it, but it still hurt that you had gone behind his back specifically to get back at him; even if he had kinda deserved it.
you didnât notice leon watching you as got into the car with matthew, his hand holding yours over the center console as you followed behind samâs car to the bar.
âiâm suprised he didnât punch you, so i suppose that could have gone worse,â you laughed half heartedly. âcongratulations on the win, by the way.â
âhe might just be saving it for the next game,â he laughed. âand thank you. iâm sorry.â
âi knew what i was doing, you donât have to apologize. and as much as it sucks that my brother hates my guts right now, i still have a pretty cool boyfriend at the end of the day,â you smiled, and matthew brought your joined hands up to his mouth to kiss the your knuckles, his facial hair tickling your skin.
âdoes that mean youâll wear my jersey to the next game?â he asked with a goofy smiled.
âdonât push it.â

something about steve, king of romance, who is pining so hard for eddie. he's putting on all his best moves, bedroom eyes and hands that brush and biting his lip and watching how eddie's eyes track all of it, and he knows that eddie feels the same way. he's sees eddie flirt back and push closer into steve's personal space and he invited him to this fucking bar, for christ's sake. everyone knows that getting an invite to go to a dance club from someone who looks like they want to eat you alive is code for 'i'm taking you home at the end of the night'.
so why the fuck is eddie pressed up against some girl with long curls that rival his own? why is steve watching like a car crash as eddie connects their lips, smiles pushed together, with hands around waists and in locks of hair and legs tangled together and-
and then they separate. just as quickly as it started, it's over. steve feels like he's gotten whiplash watching eddie disembark from the girl with a laugh to tangle their fingers together and pull her onto the dance floor. he meets steve's eye and the glimmer of giddiness dies as he sees the frown that is no doubt pulling at steve's face. eddie rushes over to him and the girl he was with finds someone else on the dance floor to wrap her arms around.
"what's wrong?" eddie asks as he bring his hands up to lay gently on his shoulders, and steve wants to laugh in his face because he looks so sincere and worried, like he has no idea that steve's heart is shattering under his member's only jacket.
steve takes a sip of his beer, shakes his head with a cold laugh, "nothing's wrong, man. but i think your girlfriend's moved on to greener pastures."
eddie's eyebrows furrow, lips turning downward as he looks back over his shoulder to see the girl pressed tightly against a handful of others with hands disappearing under clothes. he looks back at steve, at his barely concealed pissy face, and gives him a laugh of his own before burrowing his hand in the hair at the base of steve's neck.
"she's not my-" he laughs again and steve can barely hear it over the music. eddie bends down and presses his mouth damn near on top of steve's ear. "sometimes you gotta kiss someone pretty, steve. it's fun to kiss strangers, even if you have your eyes on a different prize. one with better hair and a stupid polo shirt."
eddie pulls back just barely with that giddiness back in his eyes before pressing in even closer. "you have 3 seconds to kiss me before i go find another pretty someone to have fun with. but i'd rather that pretty someone was you."
steve blinks back into himself, wraps his hands around eddie's waist to feel the heat of his body underneath the leather jacket that he for some reason refused to take off before coming out tonight. he feels more than hears the stuttering breath it gets out of the man underneath his hands. steve thinks about how many times he's wanted to tell eddie just how much he means to him, how badly he wants to woo him.
"it's not just for fun if i do it, though. i want it to mean something."
eddie just nods, and lets his lips hover over steve's. "good."

The hilt of your sword weighs heavy in your hand.
It has always been, even after years of wielding it. In a way, that fact alone was comforting in itself. Almost like the gentle weight of a blanket, wrapped around your shoulders.
It was perfectly balanced, as if it was tailor made for your own two hands. Elaborate images of swirling suns burning ablaze was carved into its hilt, delicate little designs that gleamed in the morningâs sun. A fine sword with no equal⊠except its twin.
Another sword, created with the same chunk of metal. Twins, as they said, and their design reflects such. While yours represented the brightness of the great, golden sun, the other was decorated with imagery of hearts and roses. The burning of passion, its heart rivaling the sunâs.
And who else would wield such a sword but the heartthrob of the Heartsabyul Clan, Ace Trappola himself? Heâs always seemed to follow his heart, rather than his head. Fulfilling every desire, every whim of his very own⊠even if that leads him face first into trouble sometimes.
Just last night, he was reprimanded for sneaking a bite or two of the Head of Houseâs tart. Aceâs scandalised face pops into your mind, his mouth all agape.
You couldnât resist a laugh. As you chuckle, Ace stares at you quizzically, before a twinkle of mischief slipped into his eyes. As quick as a mouse, he rushes forward with all his fancy footwork. Making quick work of your defensive stance, disarming your sword with a flick of his wrist. Taken by surprise, you close your eyes for one secondâŠ
Only to be swept off your feet, Aceâs steady arm around your waist. He holds you tight, his breath heavy from the sudden burst of energy. Yet as tired as he was, he still managed a sly wink and a boyish grin.
âGotcha.â
You sigh theatrically, before giving him a playful slap on the arm.
âGoodness. Itâs my birthday, Sir Trappola. Wouldnât it be much more nicer if you showed some mercy to me today? Taking a lady unawares⊠how rude.â
Ace gasps, offended.
âSome mercy? You beat me hollow on a regular, Ashi dear!â
Hopping back up, you poke the very tip of his nose, laughing all the while.
âAnd. Iâll. Do. It. Again! You have to be kept humble somehow.â
Ace sighs, before he catches your wrist within his hand, gently coaxing it towards his lips. Pressing a soft, gentle kiss into the palm of your hand. Glancing at you sheepishly, he shoots you a smile. A gentle one, this time. A more tender one. The kind of smile one would give their lover, a soft, sappy sort of smile that just melts on your lips.
Ace holds your hand towards his cheek, nuzzling into the curve of your hand. Your cheeks grow warm at the sudden show of affection, as you were caught off guard. Ace takes this chance to whisper softly. Tender, heartfelt words meant for you, and you alone.
âAnd I hope youâll be there to keep me humble for all my life, for I cannot see a life without you by my side.
Happy birthday, Ashi dear.â
Happy birthday ASHI!!!! A little early but YKNOW what the inspiration hit too hard so I simply must hit you harder, Yâknow? I went with a fantasy sort of setting cause it fit Ashace so wellll!!!! Happy birthday again!!!!!!!
ASHIâS BIRTHDAY CAMPAIGN! đș
ââŠCeruru, you have like a super decked out mind, donâtcha?!â Ashi squeaked out, mind still warbling after hearing the tale woven especially for her, âThatâs a real⊠Nice imagination you got!â
The mage seemed quite satisfied with the girlâs reaction, face red despite her attempts to push it down, âI like, totally appreciate it! You have a total gift! But Iâve gottaâ Umâ Go, so⊠bye-bye! Thank you SO much!â Wishing Ceru a quick goodbye and thank you as they snickered to themselves, she ran over to the nearest restroom in attempts to calm herself down.
âŠUnfortunately for her, she wasnât able to evade her favorite gingerâs eyes in time.

like weeds through cracked pavement
based on this post by @emsy-things
jealous Steve, getting together, first kiss, fluffy idiots
---
Steve doesnât cut the engine after pulling into his usual parking spot outside Bennyâs Diner. Heâs not entirely sure that he wants to get out of the car now that heâs staring down the truth of his feelings: Heâs a stupid, jealous idiot with a crush on his gym class rival.Â
And he owes Robin five bucks since apparently, yes, he is also incredibly bisexual.Â
Steve realizes that heâs bisexual (and in love with Billy Hargrove) because watching the flickering neon âOPENâ sign reflect off the golden strands in Billyâs caramel-blonde hair has his heart doing backflips. A massive migration of butterflies arrives in his stomach.Â
His palms start sweating when Billy tosses back his head and laughs, throwing his long, taut throat into shadowy relief.Â
Steve wants to mark up that empty space. He wants to rip Billy away from Eddie - even though he knows theyâre just coworkers and casual friends - and drive far away from Hawkins, just the two of them.
Driving away is probably a great idea, actually, and he should get his ass in gear.
But before he can peel back onto the main road, Steve is betrayed by Eddie Munson.Â
The older boy waves at him, beckoning for brunette to join him and Billy for what must be their post-shift smoke. Maybe itâs Eddieâs break, but Billy is definitely off the clock, otherwise heâd still be wearing his annoyingly cute apron and his hair would still be up in a bun.
Sighing heavily, Steve turns the keys and removes them from the dash. He hurriedly crams them into his jacket pocket as he crosses the small cracked lot to join his friends. âHey guys.â
âHowdy, Harrington!â Eddie grins, throwing an arm around Steveâs shoulders as soon as heâs within range. âLong time, no see!â
âItâs been, what, twenty-four hours?â
âYou guys hang out often?â Billy interrupts, raising an unimpressed eyebrow. Steve swallows thickly and shakes his head.
âDungeons and Dragons,â he mutters. âIâm hosting the new campaign.â
âRight,â Billy nods. Steve watches the way the blonde's lips close around the filter of his cigarette and nearly goes cross-eyed with want. Smoke curls out of his mouth when the blonde asks, âDo you play, too, or just run herd on the children?â
âHerding, mostly. Eddieâs the one in charge.â
âPffft, Iâm calling bullshit, Harrington. They only listen to me when Iâm rolling the dice,â Eddie argues. âYouâre Mother Goose. I canât get them to clean up their own spilled pop, but the second you snap your fingers those shitheads fall right in line. Itâs like a lion tamer at the circus, Bills, you gotta see it sometime.â
Billy isnât looking at Steve anymore. His sharp blue eyes are staring off into the middle distance, instead. âMaybe.â
âI gotta head back inside.â Eddie drops the butt of his bummed Marlboro to the ground and stomps it out with one booted foot. âLaters.â
âSee ya,â Billy and Steve say in tandem. Once Eddie is back inside the diner, Billy silently pushes off the side of the building and heads for his car. Steve chases after him without thinking.
âHey! Wait up!â
Billy doesnât stop until Steve catches up and grabs him by the hand.Â
Then he fucking freezes.Â
Bolstered by some previously unknown sense of desperate bravery, Steve tangles his fingers with Billy Hargroveâs.Â
This fist has bruised Steveâs face. These fingers have wrapped around a plate and smashed it over his head. This hand has done him harm.
And yet... It feels so warm and perfect and right when itâs clutched against his, Billyâs calloused thumb already rubbing wondering circles into the back of Steveâs knuckles.Â
âWhy?âÂ
Thatâs all Billy wants to know. And Steve has a million reasons sitting on the tip of his tongue, waiting for their chance to be heard.Â
He starts with, âBecause youâre sweet.âÂ
When this answer is met with awed silence and a wide, shocked gaze, he adds a few more.
âBecause youâre protective of those you care about, because you have a good taste in music, because youâre smart and good at insulting me. Because-â
Billy cuts him off with a kiss. The blonde wraps one arm around Steveâs waist and the other around his upper back, pulling their chests flush together. Steve gasps and Billy takes the opportunity to gently slide his tongue along the brunetteâs bottom lip.Â
Steve fists his hands into Billyâs shirt and pulls back to rest their foreheads together.Â
âHow long?â Billy whispers. âHow long have you known?â
âJust now,â Steve laughs just as quietly. This is their secret, and only theirs. âBut I think you can love some one for a long time before you realize thatâs what it is, right? I read that in a book somewhere.â
âYeah,â Billy smiles. Not smirks, not sneers, smiles. For Steve. âI think you can.â
Steve smiles back and kisses him again.

Oh but Jo đ©
The vetted members warn them, âDonât touch her. Donât look at her. Donât even think about her.â But the newbies are always cocky, always want what they canât have because they donât realize how serious the older members are. Especially since sometimes they donât even bother to find out who the Bossâs Lady is.
So when Bakugous pretty little woman is sitting at the bar with some of the members, Mina sitting next to her while Bakugou and Kirishima are the back office for the moment, a newbie decides to take a chance.
The moment this guy sidles up to your side, the member closest to the office is ducking inside to get Bakugou. Denki scowls at the guy, pushing forward to get between you both as he warns the guy to check himself before the Boss does.
But this guy just isnât getting it, and fucking leans closer to you. You are glaring, but the head of ash blond hair approaching from behind the guy has you relaxing. This guy mistakes the action, smirking as he opens his mouth again, only to freeze. His instincts scream hes in immediate danger, and he slowly looks behind himself to spot the bossâs leathers directly at eye level.
He slowly looks up to see the look of utter murder in those vermilion eyes, and he flinches back. âDidnt you hear the little lady and your fucking superior? Sheâs not interested.â Ye snarls. The guy gulps, looking like heâs seen a ghost. âIâm sorry man, I was just trying to compliment her-â he tries arguing, but Katsuki Bakugou just ainât fucking having it. âYou weâre trying nothing. Shes fucking MINE, and you made my girl fucking uncomfortable.â
And really, thatâs the worst offense in Bakugouâs mind short of physically harming you. You are his everything, his world, worth more than everything even his bike. And some little slime ball wants to try and encroach on his territory, make his girl uncomfortable? His eyes promise violence as Kiri hauls the guy up and starts dragging him out back. The guy is pleading for Bakugou not to hurt him, but Bakugou just smirks.
âGotta teach you a little lesson in manners and the meaning of the word âNoâ.â He just grins at the guy when he looks like he will faint, turning to you. The heat in your eyes makes Bakugou groan, sweeping you into an all encompassing kiss that devours you. Pulling away reluctantly, he kisses your forehead tenderly. âBe right back, baby.â He murmurs, and your soft response for him to hurry back to you melts his heart.
He fucking lives and breaths for you, as you do for him.
Kai Iâm screaming!
The way the other members try to warn the new guy before he makes a complete and utter fool of himself AND gets himself in trouble, but he just wonât listen.
The way Denki would be like âThis oneâs taken man, you donât fuck with her.â And the newbie is so cocky and overconfident heâd just be like âoh yeah? By who? You think I couldnât take âem.â To try and make himself look stronger to his new family but Denki is just like âthis guys gonna get himself fucking killedâ
The moment Bakugou comes out and sees it though? God, it isnât even jealousy because he knows that you only have eyes for him and that you have absolutely no interest in this guy. Itâs the absolute disregard for you and your feelings when you asked him to back off, the absolute disregard for women. No one should be subjected to this shit without consent, very much his woman. You canât tell me Bakugou doesnât drink respect women juice on a daily.
Imagine it being a rival gang though? Youâre out for lunch with Mina and one of the leaders from another gang sees you, heâs way more charismatic and charming but youâre still not interested. But he leaves without a bother and he was nowhere near as bad as some of the guys that try it with you. But if Bakugou finds out heâs absolutely seething.

Dork Solomon Agenda
You say sexy shady sorcerer I say nerd and love of my life
Solomon is a sad lonely little man why just wants a genuine connection us that so much to ask???
No but seriously like. It's totally fine if you hc Solomon as this man-turned-lowkey-sex-god with a million succubi and more at his whim whenever he wants and would be a tough one to put the ol' ball and chain on like to each their own for sure! But that's not MY hc
(Thats not to say my hc means he doesn't ever engage in casual sex like that and wanting a genuine long term relationship at some point [or finding out thats what you want when you meet someone] are not mutually exclusive yknow)
So like Solomon isn't the type to be short with you or keep you at an arm's length (i mean...u get what I mean. Once you're close enough and all that jazz) or get annoyed by you wanting to be affectionate?? Hello??
He LOVES the little things you do (some on accident tbh). You feeling affectionate today and give him a kiss or three on his face before you leave to go to your separate classes? Adorable, he's fallen in love again. You do that thing where you like.. forget how to walk straight and just accidentally bump into him? No come back he likes being close to you :( He doesn't SAY these things but there's a light, airy laugh he has that gives him away.
If you're ever facetiming he will say "boo!" when you connect instead of just. Greeting you like a normal person.
His fuckin. His devilgram name is monSOLO. My mans is a star wars fan!!! I dont know any of The Discourse bc I'm not super into star wars myself but he has IN DEPTH opinions about the movies. Seriously rivals Levi in this aspect. Please make time for movie nights where you watch the movies together đ„ș especially if you haven't seen them before he'd love to convert you đ„ș
Didn't Solomon also have a thing for TSL??? Or am I just imagining it??
I feel like his ideal date would be exploring something new, whether its this new spooky forest or "hey have we been down this alley before? Let's check it out!" but ideal date number TWO is movie night. Even if it isn't Star Wars. He likes to sit on opposite ends of the couch throwing popcorn into each other's mouths (and big candies like peanut m&ms where you both have almost choked before) and maybe a footsie war if he's feeling real devious. Then at some point you grab a blanket and snuggle up to him and you both fall asleep on the couch
Simeon yells at him when you leave because there's popcorn EVERYWHERE
LOVES when you laugh super loud. Idk man he just thinks its great when you have such unbridled joy and then he laughs too đ not as loud though he's more of a quiet chuckle kind of guy (most of the time).
Is friends with Asmo so is extremely great at slumber party gossip. Catch him in his pajamas, cross-legged on the floor while clutching a pillow to his chest and listening intently to you rant about the brothers.
"Come here I have a secret to tell you" (blows air in your ear) "okay okay I'm sorry but come here again" (blows air on your neck) "okay okay last time! I actually have something to tell you. Please? Its important...." (kisses ur cheek) "like u a lil bit xo"
Never the type to send "good morning beautiful" or "good night đ" texts. Instead he'll send you something at 4 am like "the infinite cosmos will eventually swallow whole all familiarity and life as it is now presently known and despite the adaptations humans or demons or angels could make i will still have to adapt and face the world as an alien in the realm I love so dearly. Funny how the strongest of beings bow to the whim of space and time. But sometimes my eternal journey doesn't seem so daunting when I realize that with my everlasting life will be the memory of you no matter how distant and the survival of the vessel you loved...."
And then at lunch that day when the brothers pull you away he'll send you a picture of the lasagna they're serving with "this kinda looks like you? Don't worry I'd still hit it" and then two minutes later "you not the pasta"
Is the type to think randomly "oh damn I love you so much" but has an impressive filter about it. Or he thinks he does until Luke grumbles "ugh get a room thats the fifth time you've seen that since monday" ok, sometimes he has a good filter about it
He can't help it! Sometimes you just say something really smart (or something SPECTACULARLY dumb) or you do something cute like lean on him or smile a specific way or-
Sir.....you're head over heels sir :/
The type who would go to a playground at night with you and just swing on the swings talking about life
Wants to have a secret handshake with you!!
If you're ever on a road trip with just the two of you, you can get him to join in on the terrible singing but he'll be a lot quieter than you
Also will only join in if he isn't driving. If he is and you aren't talking, he's just humming underneath his breath. Will drum on the steering wheel though
Cooking
(Yes, it gets its own section because MAYBE I'm obsessed with the idea of MC teaching Solomon to cook and the food still turning out terrible but at least it isn't a void when MC is helping)
The type to flick water at you every time he washes his hands. Will chase you down just to do it.
"Hey, tilt your head back and open your mouth MC" (proceeds to dump too big a handful of shredded cheese in your mouth)
100% the type to lean over you just to hinder your cooking abilities. Who cares if the sauce splashes he's tiiiired.... you'd let belphie do it :(
Puts a hand on your lower back when he passes behind you. Hopes you'll lean into it/step back and offer him a kiss đ„ș
Believes in always having a proper table setting. Prepare for whatever juice they have (or water) in wine glasses if you're having a nice-er meal
Under the assumption that a spell ruined his sense of taste (and not that he's just bad at cooking) he hates spicy food. He can feel the burn but he gets none of the flavor??? Wack. Don't hurt him like that MC. If you do because its hilarious to watch him try to be cool about it he will pout
Gets cheesy aprons. He just likes them.
Will hit you on the top of your head with a whisk to hear the noise it makes
Will buy every kitchen hack tool there is. A ketchup dispenser that looks like a gun? He's got it. A fish that helps you squeeze out the egg yolks? Yes! A dinosaur soup ladle? You bet! Pizza scissors? A tool that makes hard boiled eggs into cubes? Something that's gotta be like 200 years old and no discernable purpose? Absolutely! He wants a hot dog toaster. Do they even have hot dogs in the devildom?
Will sneak bites just because it bothers you
Overall
Look at him. He hasn't had friends in centuries. He's playful!
Look at his DEVILGRAM NAME
His funky little WAND
This is a man who is a huge nerd, thrives off of cliches and just wants to have a good time. So let him! Its mentally exhausting having those pretenses up all the time.

Hey dearđ how are you? Can I ask for some mob!tom smut?? Like he's smoking a cigar at a boring wedding when he meets a mob!reader and after talking a bit things just happen and he takes her home for fucking all night?
Oh and ends in fluff??
Hi nonnie! I'm fine hope you are well too. Here's your request hope you like this.
Pairing : Mob! Tom Holland x Mob! Reader
Warnings : 18+, SMUT, mature content, unprotected sex (wrap it before you tap it)
His Queen, Her King
Being the mob boss Tom had to be a part of various social gatherings, galas, parties etc but the most he dreaded were weddings. Especially when you're an eligible bachelor, people around you are constantly nagging you with the most evident question âwhen is your turn?â There were several occasions where the leaders of other mobs had tried to set him up with their daughters to forge an alliance but he would turn them down every time because he never found them to be his match. He likes to be in control but that doesnât mean he would settle for a mere puppet who would dress up pretty and do as told, he wanted someone powerful, fierce who would challenge his authority, a real queen to his vast empire. Â
It was one of his childhood friends' wedding day so he couldn't say no. The hall was buzzing with people as he was seated with a couple of his friends at a table drinking and laughing loudly talking about their busy lives and their businesses. One hour to the wedding reception and Tom was already bored he lit up a cigar and took a long puff from it watching everyone silently.Â
Just then you walk in through the doors in a long red silk dress hugging your body like a second skin with a thigh high slit paired with pointed stilettos making heads turn. Your hair styled into loose curls cascading down your shoulders complimenting your dewy makeup. Your wrists and ears sparkling with the most priceless authentic diamonds. Apart from being the maid of honor you are the only woman in the mob business who owns the biggest diamond business in the country.Â
People were obviously envious of your power though they never dare to say anything to your face but you have heard how people think you just got lucky with the business as the only daughter of your father, women have no place in the mob even to the extent of being slut shamed and being accused of sleeping with your rivals to run the business. You had simply shrugged it off and showed those people with a flourishing business and earning double profits than your father used to earn when he used to run the mob. You walk over to your best friend.
âCongratulations Jane, finally youâre a married woman now!â you give her a hug.
âThanks Y/N it feels like a dream honestlyâ she chirps âbut when are youâŠâ
âPlease you also donât startâ you both chuckled and continued gossiping.
âMan why are these receptions so dull and boringâ Matt groaned âcouldnât they do it at a bar or strip club?â
âYeah it would have been fun to watch your wife beat the shit out of you after you flirted with one of the strippersâ Carl mocked to which everyone laughed out loud including Tom.
âHey!!â Matt revolted in protest as all of them laughed again.
Your conversation was constantly getting disturbed with their constant brawls and loud laughter. Even the other guests had a frown on their face with the noise they were making.
âI apologize on behalf of my friends, they can sometimes be a little loudâ Paul the groom said apologetically.
"Itâs ok I know how to deal with guys like them. Let me handle itâ You offer and stride your way to their table.Â
âSorry to crash the fun boys but some of us are actually here to attend the reception not to hear your meaningless chatterâ you jibe forcing a smile as the men turn their attention towards you. Tom puts down his cigar blowing out the smoke as he takes a quick glance of you.
âI'm sorry love, are we offending you?â he remarks with a smolder and the men around him hollered. The corner of your lips quirk into a sly smirk as you step closer to him drawing a finger along his jawline.
âIt will take a lot more than this baby face to offend meâ you taunt him back with a grin amusing everyone including Tom at your comeback.
âOooh damn!â the men hollered again while you turned your back and strutted off to join your friends again. Tom just sat there completely blown away by your boldness. He had heard about you but now that he saw you he understood that you werenât just a beautiful face after all who just got lucky in the mob business you were a complete badass. The very image of you radiates power and triumph.Â
His eyes seeked yours the whole time and then he found you finally all by yourself near the open bar drinking a glass of whisky. He approaches you as he clears his throat.
âAhem, heyâ you lift your eyes from the glass and then put it down on the counter smacking your lips.
âHere to apologise for being a jerk?â you quip.
âI thought we were even alreadyâ he remarks with a smug grin.
âYeah maybeâ you half shrug
âTom Holland by the wayâ he reaches his hand out and you dismiss it by picking your glass again and taking a sip.Â
âI know who you are, the boss of the most powerful mob in Londonâ you say nonchalantly
âKeeping tabs I seeâ he smirks as he signals the bartender to hand him a drink as well.
âItâs a risky business Holland you gotta keep records about your potential rivalsâ you state blandly.
âAbsolutely, couldnât agree moreâ he takes a sip wincing at the strong taste of the drink.Â
âSo all alone? Bossman didnât get any arm candy for the night?â you snicker.
âOnly a queen fits beside a king like me darling and I havenât found one yet , what about you?â
âWell I havenât found my king eitherâ you clink your glass to his as you both gulp down your drinks.
âYou look ravishing in that dress I must sayâ he compliments with a suave in his voice.
âThank you. You donât look bad eitherâ you flirt back as you bite the corner of your lip checking him dressed in an Armani suit the Rolex on his wrist glinting in the golden light of the chandeliers. Â
âI really admire you. Honestly itâs really hard and dangerous to run a business when youâre a womanâ there was a different kind of sparkle in his eyes which you recognize very well.
âWhat can I say I just love playing with dangerâ you shrug with sass in your voice.Â
âYou wanna get out of here? Iâm sure nobody will miss usâ he licks his lips eyes darkening with pure desire.Â
âWell what are we waiting for?â you smirk with a mischievous glint in your eyes both of you coming to a silent agreement.
The whole ride to his mansion was a blur as soon as you were inside he had you pinned up against the door as his lips met yours hungrily. His lips tasted of burnt cigar and whisky. He started leaving trails of kisses on your jaw and neck while his hand snaked down to your thighs through the slit of your dress unclasping the thigh holster from your leg as it dropped on the ground with a loud clatter. His hand moved further to your flimsy lace thong to feel your sex.Â
âSo wet already, love? I haven't even touched you properlyâ you can hear the smirk in his voice. His hand goes to unzip your dress as he leans in for a kiss but you stop him placing two fingers on his lips slowly tracing them.Â
âBedroom?â you ask breathing heavily.
âUpstairs leftâ he informs between shallow breaths.
You gave him a peck on his cheek and made your way up the stairs. Tomâs eyes never left you as he watched you slide the thin straps of your dress off your shoulders and dropping it off on the floor striding away in just your strapless bra and thong your heels clacking against the marble floor. Tom scoffed in amusement a toothy grin forming on his face . You were really something who was just driving him crazy.
The moment he walked in the bedroom he felt himself twitch inside his pants. There you were sitting in the middle at the edge of the bed slightly leaning on your palms with your legs crossed one above the other. You looked like a viscous siren slowly entrapping him with your charm and beauty.Â
âNice bedroomâ You gently smoothed the silk sheets with your hand.
âGlad you liked itâ he said smiling.
âAre you just gonna stand over there?â You unclipped your bra and lazily dropped it on the floor putting on a show for him as you lifted a hand pointing a finger motioning him to come closer. A low groan escaped from his mouth at the sight of your exposed breasts as he strolled towards you unbuttoning his shirt and shrugging it off his body drinking in your almost naked form with lustful eyes. You subconsciously licked your lips marveling his taut muscles. He tilted your chin up as you gazed in his brown eyes with parted lips.
âGod youâre gonna be the death of meâ he mumbles in a husky voice.
âThat was the plan all the time, I can then take over your mobâ you giggle playfully.
âYou minxâ he knelt down to capture your red tinted lips passionately tongues clashing against each other as you ran your fingers across his abdomen, nails scraping his skin. He gently pushes you down on the mattress as you shift back in the middle of the bed. He spreads your legs to accommodate himself as he crawls up to be at level to your face pressing a soft kiss to your swollen lips. Goosebumps covered your skin as you felt his bulge brushing on your thighs. You tilted your head to the side as he took the opportunity to suck marks on the nape of your neck. One hand squeezing your ass the other palming your breast as he placed butterfly kisses all over your skin.
âSo prettyâ he mumbles, pressing kisses between the valley of your breasts, you shuddered when he flicked his tongue over your sensitive bud.
âOhâ you gasped when he wrapped his mouth around your breast sucking the nipple between his teeth, kneading the other fingers pinching and tugging on it. After paying equal attention to the other one too before continuing his journey south. Your stomach flutters as his lips trail down your rib cage, navel the cold gold chain dangling down his neck feeling ticklish against your hot skin. He placed a soft kiss over your soaked panties and you felt that your body was set to fire as you gasped lightly chest heaving up and down. A smirk forms on his face as he moves to kiss your inner thighs ignoring the place where you needed him the most.
âPleaseâ you let out a quiet whimper
âPlease what darling?â he whispers with a husky voice.Â
âTouch meâÂ
âIâm touching you loveâ he lightly chuckles, you whined in protest. âYou gotta be more specific with your demands, love, what do you need?â he coos.
âI-I need you, your mouthâ you breathed out.Â
âSee that wasnât so hardâ he practically rips off your thong and throws the shredded fabric away letting out a low growl at the sight of your glistening cunt. He hooked his arms to your thighs, the rings on his fingers felt cold against your skin. He licks a long stripe up your folds sending jolts of pleasure up your body making you squirm in his hold.
âSo sweetâ he mumbles against your heat. You let out a soft gasp, your hands threading into his soft brown curls as he swirled his tongue through your folds.
You cry out when his tongue flicks your swollen clit giving his hair a harsh tug he groans into your heat. He continued to suck on your clit between his lips pushing a thick digit inside you. Your body arched bucking your hips into his mouth he had to place a hand on your lower stomach to keep you in place. He then adds another finger pumping it in and out of you his teeth grazing your sensitive bud soothing it after with his tongue immediately.Â
âFuck!â You moaned feeling euphoric eyes fluttering shut as he devoured you. Your body tensed up when he added another finger to your heat, your one hand was pulling his hair painfully and the other squeezing your breast rolling your nipple between your fingers. He curled his fingers hitting your spot sending you over the edge.
âCâmon love, let it go want you to cum all over my fingersâ he moaned into your heat the vibrations leading you to tumble down the edge as you came undone around his fingers. He helped you ride your high still sucking on your clit, your legs trembled as he lapped up all your juices. He pulled away after sometime his chin glistening with your arousal.Â
He got rid of his dress pants along with his boxers and then crawled over to you. You gazed into his warm brown eyes still in your post orgasmic haze as you pulled him down to capture his lips with an urgent need. You tasted yourself on his lips as he deepened the kiss grinding his hips into yours.Â
A soft gasp escaped your lips when you felt the tip of his member brushed against your entrance. He gripped his member giving it a few pumps before lining up against your core. You placed a hand flat on his stomach signalling him to stop. He knitted his brow in confusion when you flipped him over to be on top him sitting on the back of your knee straddling his waist.Â
âI wanna ride youâ you whisper in a sultry voice and his lips curl up to a smirk.
âThen go ahead, darlingâ he shuffles back a little resting himself comfortably against the headboard. You brought your hand to your mouth and gave it lick before grabbing his member using it for lubrication, slowly pumping his length and lining it up to your weeping core. Your breath hitched when you felt his tip slide through your entrance stretching your walls in a nice way. You slowly sank down on his length feeling so full of him. You stayed like that, your walls warm and snug squeezing him like a vice. Tom groaned when you clenched around him.Â
âOh god Y/N please move or I'm not gonna last for another minuteâ you leaned down to kiss him starting to move your hips slowly adjusting to his thick shaft.
âShitâ He hissed as you lifted yourself hand gripping on his thighs for leverage to go a little faster, the soft sound of your skin slapping against each other filled the room. Your stomach clenched as you paced up and down his cock, each time filling you up to the hilt. His hands held your hips, fingers digging in your skin groans rumbled in Tomâs throat as he clenched his jaw. He gazed at you with hooded eyes smitten by the way your back arches towards him and your tits bounce with every thrust.
You started to feel a little exhausted, a thin sheen of sweat lining your bodies as you slowed down your pace. Tomâs hands slid down to your ass, spreading your cheeks as he took control, thrusting up into you. You jolted forward moaning out loud, grasping on to his shoulders tightly for support.Â
âJust because you're on the top don't think you're in control darlingâ he says cheekily you let out a light chuckle at his comment before whimpering when his cock hit your sweet spot.
He lifted his knees, planting the heels of his feet into the mattress for leverage as he began to fuck you roughly. He grunted, feeling your walls clench around his cock with every thrust of his hips. You leaned down to kiss him sloppily he reciprocates by slipping his tongue into your mouth swirling it inside your mouth. You moaned into the kiss as you felt a tight knot build inside your stomach.
âTomâ you moan breathlessly, eyes squeezing shut as your hands slide down his shoulder to his chest nails scratching his skin.
âGonna cum again for me love?â Tom murmured against your lips as he spanked your ass lightly. You nodded your head vigorously starting to roll your hips desperately. He brought his thumb to your swollen clit and rubbed circles as the coil inside you snapped and you screamed out your orgasm hitting you like a ton of bricks. Tom wasnât too far either as he continued rutting his hips and soon he was spilling inside you.
âFuck.â He moaned as his face screwed up in pleasure, his eyebrows furrowing as he emptied his seed into your tight pussy, not letting go of his grip on your body. You collapsed onto his chest panting both of you catching your breath, your walls still pulsating around his cock, deeply buried inside you. He caressed your back gently, your chest pressed to his, head resting over his heart as you listened to his steady heartbeat while your fingers fiddled with the chain around his neck. He took your hand and kissed on your knuckles gently brushing his thumb over them lovingly.
âI really like youâ he finally spoke out
âWhat?â you frowned, still a bit dizzy.
âI think I have fallen in love with you Y/Nâ he confesses softly as you straighten yourself to look him in the eyes.
âAre you asking me out when you are literally balls deep inside me?â you snicker raising your eyebrows.
âIâm serious Y/Nâ he cradles your face with both of his hands âthe moment I saw you I knew you are the one I have been waiting for all my life. A strong, independent and fearless woman who doesnât need anyone, you are a hell of a queen, Y/N. I want this queen to be only mine, together we can rule the world love. I donât want this to be a one night thing I want to make love to you every night, kiss every inch of your body and appreciate you, adore youâ he rants
âThe last part sounded a little creepy thoughâ you chuckled âWell I do like you too my king letâs just take things slow and see where it goes maybe?â
âSure my queenâ he smiles as you kiss him softly.

Ok I accidentally deleted it but thankfully didnât loose the important bits!
Rated Explicit (18+ Only)
Tonight held a different energy.
Leonardo had shown up with a bag and a grin that alluded to what the night might bring.
Which is how you found yourself sat on a chair, arms expertly tied behind your back in intricate patterns.
The small hitch was that Leo had placed one of your most hated but favorite of toys right upon your sex. The toy was snug against your sensitive nub and a very amused Leo sat in front of you. âI gotta say when I got here I had a few things in mindâ His thumb hovered over the button.
He moved it upwards increasing the speed.
You squeaked, toes curling as you tried to keep your focus on making a mess so soon in the evening.
And well, Leo had stated that if you came without his permission that would be all you got for the night.
Which meant no him.
You swallowed and bit the inside of your cheek.
Focus.
âI wish this had a better range, would take it with me all the timeâ He sat back on the couch, cool as a damn cucumber over your rapidly increasing shakey form. âWhen youâre at workâ He decreased the speed. âWhen youâre with friendsâ He increased it once more. âMaybe when youâre with that annoying co-worker of yours who thinks he has a shotâ He pressed down fully, the jolt making you tremble as your mouth opened in a soundless moan.
He smiled before setting it back down to a low hum. He scooted closer, hands coming to rest on your trembling knees. âIf I were you Iâd control my breathing, darlingâ He cupped your chin, blue eyes assessing you for any discomfort, you nodded understanding his worries but egged him on when you snuck a tongue out.
Leo shook his head with a smile, getting up in all his imposing glory. âI donât think youâre truly aware of how I go through with my threatsâ You bit down on the tip of your tongue, eyes so coy. âAs if you would miss on the opportunity to show me that angry side you like meditating away so muchâ You kissed the pad of his thumb, eyes glued to his.
Seamlessly he slid that digit into your mouth, the softness of your plump lips around his thumb.
He leaned down, pressing his lips towards your ear.
âDoes somebody want to have a ruined orgasm?â You stopped immediately, mouth slipping away slowly.
Leo reveled in it, he knew how much you despised it and you had already been on the nasty end of it a few times.
âSorry Sensei...â Your voice was hushed. Leo kissed your forehead before sitting himself back down on the couch in front of you. He toyed with the remote, each teasing flick of his thumb over the button making you tense up. The low continuous hum was making a mess out of you, wetness pooling beneath you.
A breeze hit you and your naked skin pebbled.
The leader admired you, taking stock of the perspiration on your skin, the hardening of your nipples. Your innate need to try and grind down on the toy. âYouâre beautiful Y/n, I could just keep you like this on my bed everyday if it were up to meâ You saw a hand run down his muscular thigh. You followed that hand, trying to muster your focus on it instead of your slow building release.
That strong hand went to the front of his pants. âHow about a game?â Your shoulders slumped, there was no way you were going to win whatever diabolical game he decided to cook up.
He lifted himself enough to slide down his pants. Your eyes went straight to his thickening member. He gripped it lightly, a teasing touch that made him sigh out. âIâm going to sit here and do this, Iâm going to time you and if in the next ten minutes you havenât cum, you get a rewardâ Leo gripped himself for emphasis, oh you wanted that reward.
Fair enough, you could do this. The slow vibrations surely would drive you mad but you could defenatly go ten minutes.
âOh, forgot to mention...â Leo pressed down on the buttons of the remote several times, each increasing hum jolting you. âIâm putting that in itâs highest settingâ He smirked enjoying how your body was squirming, trying your best to swallow your moans.
Fuck.
Leo lazily pumped himself, fingers toying with the head of his cock as you tried to reduce the pressure by not trying to sit on the toy so much. âOh come on, Iâm sure you can make ten little minutes like thatâ He spread out his legs, eyes darting to your engorged sex. âL-Lee, Jesus p-pleaseâ Your voice was strained, body flushed . âPlease what?â He set the control aside and made for a bottle of lube in the bag.
You watched him with all the patience he possessed squirt out a bit onto his hand to cover over his member. The sound of his fist engulfing his thick member as he worked him had you biting your lip hard. âPlease what?â He repeated himself, stroking with a much firmer grip. You hunched over, feet firmly planted on the floor with an orgasm quickly approaching. Your eyes watered as you thrashed.
âDarling that isnât good posture, sit up straightâ Leo dragged his tight fist to the tip and teased, gaze so tantalizing you wanted to scream. Nevertheless you did as told. He looked over towards the timer. âHey five minutes to go, youâre doing so good.â
You whined a pathetic noise and stomped your feet. âPlease! I-I wonât-shit! Sensei please, please Iâve been so good!â Your words were muddled. Each passing second felt like an hour passing by. You breaths came in quick successions and each one felt like it would give way to your impending finale.
Your eyes rolled back as you shook, willing every nerve in your body to halt. The tensions in your legs, your fist clenched and unclenched. âLeonardo please f-for god sake Iâll do-do anything you want me toâ When you dared to focus your vision on him again a small section of your pride swelled. He was quickly stroking himself, a fine sheen of perspiration had broken out of him. He was fully atune to your shaking body.
The groan melted into a low churr and just when you felt your battle was lost you felt the offending toy shut off.
You slumped forward breathing so hard you were sure you would pass out. With some energy you were able to return your gaze to Leo who smirked.
He beckoned you.
You gulped.
Your legs felt like those of a newborn deer as you stood. The small step too much as you fell against him, knees at either side of his. The tension in your tied arms rivaled those of your shaking thighs. Leo ran a hand through your sweaty locks, lips kissing yours tenderly. âGood girl, you get rewardedâ
When he entered you a long breathless mewl escaped you.
Two thrust in you came with a vicious tremble of your body and a noise that maybe resembled his name.
By the time Leo was showing signs of nearing his own release your body had shocked you with at least four more climaxes. Each one so strong and dizzying, each one perfectly gripping Leoâs cock within you. That sensation would never stop being his favorite. Your sweaty disheveled self would never stop being his favorite.
âCâmon, one moreâ His voice was a growl, strong arms holding you upright. âFor me, hm? Do it for meâ He bit down on your shoulder, eyes shutting tightly when he registered yet another orgasm leave you. A pathetic whine was all you could muster as you felt Leo thrust upwards and empty himself in you. The warmth of your slick coupled with his own release making him groan.
You felt like a limp noodle against him even as he peppered loving kisses to the harsh bite on your shoulder. âEasy, untying theseâ He undid the knot, strong hands massaging your arms to bring them back to a comfortable position. âEverything good? Was I too rough?â He kneaded the flesh and you shook your head. âMâfine, just beatâ You mumbled against his neck.
âBed it is then, on three ok?â He hooked his arms under your bottom and lifted himself and you in one easy fluid move. You were already out by the time he made it to the bedroom, but nevertheless you felt secured and blissed out.
Sometime around dawn you stirred enough to feel him behind you, arm secured around your waist.

daddy keigo: christmas special
mostly sfw, suggestive content
warnings: daddy kink, christmas, gift-giving, keigo getting a wittle weapy, uwu
...
hello! better late than never, hereâs my little christmas drabble for the day. enjoy loves!!!!
...
âDaddy, come on, I gotta get up!â
You hoped Keigo would be unsuspecting, as it was quite early in the morning for you to be hauling yourself from bed. How hard would it be to convince your mostly-asleep partner that you just needed to piss--Â obviously, there wasnât anything else going on.
Keigo grumbled, wings fanned out and rippling in his sleep as he reluctantly let you go from his arms.Â
âGet back here soon,â Keigo said into the pillows, eyes still shut and body still slack. âMiss yaâ, little bird.â
Your heart squeezed with glee as you gave him a final kiss before beginning your mission.
...
Keigo had been spoiling you. Gifts, treats, and presents for the past month as Christmas loomed. Despite all of the many treasures he purchased for you on the spot, a large pile of well-wrapped gifts had been appearing under your tree as the snowy month has gone on. Whenever you tried to worry about it, insist to Keigo that, âI know youâre my daddy, b-but isnât this a lot--?â.Â
He was always quick to quiet you, quick to hush you with greedy hands and knowing words, âYouâre daddyâs good little bird, and daddy knows best.â
He did know best, you trusted him and knew that he did, but that didnât mean you didnât have your own plans for the holidays up your sleeve. The compulsion to make this holiday a particularly special one ran strong, as this was your first holiday together and able to celebrate it properly.
You flicked on the bathroom light and shut the door from the outside, hopefully fooling Keigo in his sleepy-state. Slipping into the guest room, your dropped onto your tummy, fishing with open hands under the bed. One by one, you pulled out wrapped gifts, one youâd collected and hid over the past several months, well and secretive.Â
Keigo was kind enough to help you have an existence that didnât require a job, not now at least. Youâd dropped your full-time position sometime ago, after thorough discussion and a lot of internal turmoil. Keigo was more than happy to provide, feathers ruffling at even the opportunity to truly provide for you in such a way. Being home more meant Keigo could stop by at nearly anytime in his tumultuous schedule for a bit of welcomed and easily-given affection.
It also gave you time to spirit away during the day and gather presents and supplies for the holidays.Â
You had an allowance to spend, one that youâd greedily gone all-out with in the weeks prior. There were more than enough enchanting markets and places to wander and gather from.
...
Pulling out the last gift, you carefully, quietly, began padding to the living room and positioning your new parcels under the tree. They joined the stacks already there, fineries and kindnesses Keigo had amassed.Â
He deserved his own, of course.
You wondered how he did it. Keigo was one of the nations best heroes, who had the world on his shoulders most hours of the day, yet he still managed to make time for you, have energy for his little bird and all of your whims, so often mutually held.Â
You wanted to spoil Keigo as well.Â
He deserved it and you decided to provide if you could.
Once you arranged everything as you liked, you clicked the lights on and finished your own preparations. Slipping into a soft two-piece set (coordinating with one for Keigo, wrapped under the tree) and knit stockings that you settled at your mid-thighs, you started slipped away once more to make coffee.
Notably, it was early for you to be awake, especially after such a... long night before. Once or twice while you were on your knees arranging the gifts, you nearly gasped at your residual aches and pains. But, it was all worth it, even with your soreness and sleepy eyes.
It caught up with you as you yawned in the kitchen, patiently waiting for the gurgling coffee machine to finish brewing.
You gaze went wide as arms looped around your waist, clasping between your ribs.Â
âThought yaâ said you were coming back to bed,â Keigo whined against your neck. âNot making coffee. Itâs too early, we need more sleep.â
You let a smile play on your lips, one he wouldnât be able to see.Â
âBut I wanna open presents,â you whined, facing him with a spin and nuzzling your nose into his. â... Please?â
Keigo rose to his full height, eyebrows raised and looking as stunning as ever. Despite the bedhead and T that littered his shoulders the neck, he was still as effortlessly gorgeous as always.
He gave you a grin, golden and glowing and all for you, âGreedy, and this early too?â
You pushed out your bottom lip, giving him a sweet frown, âItâs Christmas, Keiâ, please?â
Keigo dropped a quick and sharp slap to your outer thigh, one that had you falling against him with a yelp.
âOnly because youâre so cute.â
He has no idea.
...
And Keigo didnât.Â
You dragged him by the wrist to the living room, decorated and fragrant with the lingering smell of evergreen and cedar candles. He slowed as the tree, something not-too grand but decorated with a hodgepodge of shared and crafted ornaments, came into view.Â
Reverently, you watched his expression shift. He was most honest through his wings.
His hand squeezed your own, thumb rubbing yours as his wings fluttered a few times behind him, unbridled and unhindered in your presence (no pun intended.)
His gaze was glued to the extra stacks of gifts, done up with your own glimmering wrapping paper and handmade bows, â... What?âÂ
You couldnât contain yourself any longer.Â
You tugged him to the tree, dragging him down to the soft fabric at its base. Keigo was still somewhat frozen, almost rigid in your grip. Swallowing down any potential anxieties, your shifted so your knees touched, parallel.
âI am a little greedy, but I mostly wanted to surprise you,â You beamed, grabbing one of the most flimsy gift from the top of the stack. âYou should open to this one first.â
Keigoâs gaze was still wide and owlish as he accepted the parcel from you, â... Why?â
âLook and see, daddy. I think youâll like it.â
...
And fuck, did he.Â
It was a simple set, just a soft long-sleeve and bottoms, lightly patterned with faint stars and moons. Still, Keigo noticed immediately as his gaze flickered from the fabric stretching over your thighs and the bundle he held in his hands.
âThey... match?â Keigo wondered aloud, unable to stop the way his jaw fell open.
You beamed even brighter, if that was possible, âThey do! So we can match today, and thatâs just one of the things I got you!â
And Keigo got it. That entire fucking mountain of presents that rivaled the one heâd amassed for you belonged to him.Â
He mustâve been staring at his, mouth still agape, for sometime.
Your wobbling voice pulled him from his stupor, â... Is t-this okay, daddy?âÂ
Keigo perked up, breath catching as you pawed at your face, eyes shining with little tears, âI wanted to surprise you, but I-I understand, t-this is a l-lot--â
âHush,â Keigo quieted you, trying to keep his voice firm and authoritative enough while his wings flexed and trembled behind him. He gave his own shaking breath, tsking under his breath, âMy little birds been planning and hiding such a big, precious secret from me? And got away with it? Iâm impressed.â
You sniffled, tears already drying, âI was r-really sneaky. You had no idea.âÂ
He didnât. Keigo had hardly noticed any sneaking around, and surely what he had picked up on, he didnât connect to the sweet pile of gifts you acquired for him and the matching fucking pajamas--
His breath caught in his throat, eyes welling with his own tears, rare and precious.Â
You wiped a bit of wetness off his cheek with a thumb, giving him a little, ever-attentive smile, âDo you want to change into those? Then we can open the rest?âÂ
Keigo tugged you forward, into his lap, thighs over his own to tuck you cheek into the crook of his neck, âIâd like that a lot, little bird.â
(You took care of him, as much as he took care of you, even if it was more implicit.)
And he hoisted you over one shoulder, starry loungewear over the other, carrying of with a flourish of high giggles and excitement for the day.Â

A Lot of Possibilities - Arthur x Reader
Summary: You challenged Arthur to a friendly horse race. If you win, he gotta do your chores for two days, and if he wins, he can pick whatever he wants. Thatâs a lot of possibilities, but you werenât planning on loosing.
Words: 1340
Warnings: None (just kissy-kissy-kiss-kiss)
âSheâs a beauty, ainât she,â you said as you brushed your new horseâs mane. Her chestnut locks gleamed under the afternoon sun and felt softer than your own.Â
Due to a stagecoach robbery gone south, your trusted horse, a beautiful Kentucky Saddler with whom youâve killed, tricked and robbed folks all the way from here to Ohio and back, had passed away. She was a great companion, and you were sure you were gonna meet her sooner than later, but until then, you needed a new one. Arthur offered to take you into town to get you a new one, and when you were coming up short for the horse you chose, he even paid the difference. True gentleman, now thatâs a rare breed.
Arthur was leaning against the wall of the stable, not far away from where you were getting acquainted with your new companion, brushing her hair, and feeding her a few sugar cubes.
âShe sure is,â he said as he looked at you.Â
You finished securing the tie strap when you turned around to Arthur, who was standing not far from you with his Tennessean Walker next to him.
âHey, how about we see how fast she is,â you said crossing your arm. âFirst to Owanjila?â
âHuh,â Arthur said as he eyed up your horse. She was going to be a strong rival for his Tennessee Walker, but Arthur was not the one to back away from a friendly competition.Â
âSure, why not?â
âGreat,â you said. âAnd if I win,â you added as you mounted your horse, âthen you gotta do my chores for two days,â you said, already dreaming of a time off from Grimshawâs wrath. You loved the woman, but her strict schedule could be too much sometimes.
âOkay, okay,â Arthur said as he mounted his own horse. âAnd if I win?â
âHmmm,â you drew, thinking of what Arthur could want. Arthur wasnât particularly materialistic; he only bought himself a new journal when he lost his previous one, and he was always happy to do his own chores around the camp, even helping others with theirs. When you couldnât come up with anything, you said, âWell, if you do win, then you can pick whatever you want.â
Arthur laughed. âYou sure? Thatâs a lot of possibilities.â
âWell, I ainât planning on losing.â
At the count of three both of your horses sprung to action, dashing down the dirt road. Right away you were in front, both your horseâs mane and your own hair flowing through the wind. You turned around to see Arthur behind, but not too far away. You grinned and winked at him before turning back towards the road, spurring your horse and putting more distance between the two of you.Â
Arthur couldnât help but smile at the confidence that was practically radiating off of you. Itâs one of the things, among others, he loved about you. Others being the way your eyes sparkled when you were telling stories by the campfire, how focused your face was when you were riding your horse down an uneven path, or how screams of bullets and explosions could never startle you.Â
Youâve put a good distance between you and Arthur, and if you were going to keep the same pace, you were bound to arrive at Owanjila first. You were crossing the road when your horse momentarily stopped, shaking her head from side to side and snickering, almost bucking you off in the process. When she finally stilled, you saw what appeared to be a snake, thinner than your lasso, sliding away into the bushes.
âAw, câmon,â you said as Arthur passed you, sending you a grin as he hurried down the dirt path, disappearing in the trees. His horse, by now, was used to all kinds of reptiles and other hostile living creatures. Youâd have to work on that with your girl.
You caressed your horse, trying to calm her down.
When she finally seemed to relax, you said, âLet's go girlâ and hurried after Arthur.
You were trying to pick up the speed you lost, but it was no use. The time you lost while calming your horse, although short, put a great distance between you and Arthur. As you were coming up to the lake, you could see Arthur lean against a tree, the brim of his hat covering his eyes. Even though you lost, you couldnât help but smile.
You guided your horse to Arthurâs.
âDonât worry girl,â you said as you patted your horse, âweâll beat them next time.â You fed your horse an apple before walking to where Arthur was.Â
âSo, it seems that youâve won,â you said as you stood next to Arthur, mirroring his stance and leaning against the tree, looking over the Owanjila Lake. The water had a mythical blue color to it, looking like something straight out of a painting.
âSeems that I have.â
âThatâs too bad. Iâve already started to fantasize about you taking on all my chores.â
You turned around to look at Arthur. He was much taller than you. All of him was big, but especially his arm and shoulders; wide and muscular. You noticed that for the first time when he covered your body with his own, shielding you from the debris of dynamite explosion. You felt so small under him, but so safe and protected.
âHave you thought about what you want?â you said. âSince youâve won.â
At your question, he turned to look at you. He had a bit of a scruff going on. You would notice him scratching at it from time to time when riding his horse or walking around the camp. His eyes were looking down at you, so intensely that for a second you stopped breathing. You didnât dare to break eye contact, even when his hand landed on your hip, even when he pushed you against the same tree you were just leaning against. You havenât had a drop, but you were feeling absolutely intoxicated; his large hands on your hips, his wide frame covering you, shielding you from the afternoon sun and the eyes of deers and elks galloping by. One of your hands found a way to the back of his neck as the other one held on to his shirt.Â
His face was mere inches away from your own. You could feel his breath on your lips, could smell the rum on them.Â
âArthur.â His name fell from your lips in a whisper, sounding more like a sacred word, enough only for him to hear.Â
He pressed his lips against yours, gentle and soft. You sighted at the feeling; youâve dreamed about this moment a million times. Your hand tightened at the back of his neck, deepening the kiss and eliciting a groan from Arthur. The feeling of his lips against yours was inebriating, you could barely feel the ground under your feet as his lips moved against yours, soft and wet and plump. You all but melted when his tongue entered your mouth, your mind going haywire with arousal.Â
You could faintly hear the birds chirping on the trees nearby, various animals walking around, never getting too close to the two of you, your presence alone scaring them away. In that moment, you couldnât focus on anything but Arthur, his lips on yours, his hands on your hips and waist, pulling you closer to him.
After what felt like an eternity, you broke away from each other, your lips swollen, your eyes still closed. You slowly opened them, expecting to be blinded by the light, but instead seeing Arthur, his wide frame shielding you from the outside world.Â
His eyes were staring into yours, the blue in them reminding you of the lake you were near. His lips were equally swollen, and a rosy tint covered his cheeks.
âYou didnât answer my question,â you said.Â
âYou.â
âMe?â
âYou,â he repeated. If he had a chance to choose anything he wants, he didnât have to think twice to answer. âI want you.â

Starkâs Girl
part 014/015Â âone more time, captainâ
previous part // next part
masterlist
word count 3.9k
an: this part does include dialogue from avengers endgame, which is not my work nor do i claim it to be!
Itâs been five years since the Blip. You had been back by Natashaâs side for almost six months now, and she was grateful for every moment. There were days where she would break down (which until recently was unheard of) and you would be there by her side. And she had done what she could to help you out with your trauma. Before you accepted her offer of coming back, she had put two and two together when she recognized the faces on the news to the faces that had adorned a spare room in that house of yours in Ransdorp. Natasha had a past of her own, no doubt about that, so she could relate to how you had felt when you admitted on your own time what you had been up to those few years after Siberia.Â
It wasnât an easy conversation, at one point you had broken down into sobs and reminded her a lot of herself when she had taken some time after a mission gone wrong years back. She mostly understood the shame that coursed through you, but one thing she made you understand was what HYDRA had done, the things you did because of them, wasnât your fault. Natasha also made sure to tell you the blackouts werenât your fault either, and she understood why you did what you had done. Although it was trauma you would have to live with, she knew the feeling better than most of losing your years to programs like that.
All of this was to say that both women had a newfound respect and understanding of one another. It became easier to work alongside one another, being able to almost anticipate oneâs actions and decisions as they occurred. No one had seemed to really get Nat like that since Barton.. Which was why she was so hell bent on tracking him down.
Natasha had come to the realization about a year ago that Barton had gone off the radar because his family was among those they lost. When bodies started piling up (not due to your hands) and some of the known details were faint signatures of Bartonâs handiwork.. Nat made it her mission to find him. Because this was not him. And although he was taking down some questionable people, they werenât responsible for Thanos.
âListen fur-face,â Carol Danvers threw out that regained Natâs attention. âIâm covering a lot of territory. The things that are happening on Earth are happening everywhere, on thousands of planets.â
âAll right all right, thatâs a good point,â Rocket remarked. Nat stole a glance your way to which you only offered a shrug as Carol continued.
âSo.. You might not see me for a long time,â she redirected towards Nat. Natasha nodded her head and leaned forward on the desk she sat behind.Â
âAlright.. Well this channel is always active. If anything goes sideways, anyoneâs making trouble where they shouldnât, it comes through me.â
Everyone agreed and one by one the holograms disappeared. You took a seat in front of the desk, and Nat redirected her attention to Rhodes. âWhere are you?
âMexico,â Rhodes answered. âThe Federales found a room full of bodies, looks like a bunch of cartel guys. They never even had a chance to get their guns off.â
Nat shrugged her shoulders and sat back in her seat. âProbably a rival gang.â
âExcept it isnât,â Rhodes countered. Natashaâs eyes shift, and your gaze shoots up at her. âItâs definitely Barton.. What heâs done here, what heâs been doing the last few years.. Nat, the scene he left?.. I gotta tell you, a part of me doesnât want to find him.â
Natasha grabbed the sand which she had prepared just earlier and bit a piece off. She just needed to focus on something other than what Rhodes was telling her, she didnât need anyone to see her cry right now. âWill you find out where heâs going next?â
âNat,â Rhodes tried to warn.
âPlease,â Natasha pleaded. You glanced Rhodeyâs way and he met your eyes. You offered a grim look, and he sighed.
âOkay.â
And with that Rhodeyâs comm broke off too. You watched as Nat placed the sandwich back down and sighed deeply, all before her face began to scrunch up into a sob. You were quick out of your seat and moved around the desk and kneeled by her side. âNat.. Nat weâre gonna find him.â
âI just donât know why he couldnât come to me,â she sniffled and rubbed at her eyes. âI know this must be hard for him, losing Laura and the kids, but he couldâve come to me.â
You reached your hand out to rub her shoulder and let out a small sigh. âSometimes itâs hard to let those you care about see in you in those dark places.â
Nat finished rubbing under her eyes and grabbed the sandwich off her plate again with her other hand. âIs that why youâve been avoiding the talk with Steve?â
You bit back the smile and stood. She had done what she did best, diverted the conversation from herself to something else. âYouâre still on about that?â
âOh come on, Iâve seen the way you look at one another,â Natasha prodded as you went to gather your things. âHow much longer are you going to wait to be happy?â
The question made you pause, and before you could respond Nat perked up at something behind you. You glanced over your shoulder and was met with none other than Steve Rogers, hands in his pockets, and with a small smile on his face.Â
âSpeak of the devil,â Natasha joked. Your gaze immediately went back to her and you gave her your best glare, while Steve raised his brow at her. They were so easy to mess with, she thought. âHere to do your laundry?â
âAnd to see some friends,â Steve replied. You held your things closer to your chest as Steve came further into the room.
âIâm actually getting ready to leave for Tonyâs,â you threw out there. âI promised to go see my favorite niece.â
âAre you going to be okay making the drive this late at night?â Steve asked. Natasha rolled her eyes to herself and took a hefty bite of her sandwich. If she had to watch another pining episode she was going to make sure you two never heard the end of it. You, on the other hand, smiled at his sentiment.
âOh I think I can manage,â you told him. You offered your farewells, and started back to your room to grab your bag and head out. Steve watched you leave before looking back at Nat who was waving him off.
âMeet me in the kitchen, I need a drink,â she told him, and took her sandwich with her towards the kitchen area. Steve chuckled lightly, and followed in your steps to the residence area. He was just catching you outside your room, and he took a deep breath and pulled something out of his pocket, clutching it in his fist. You heard him approach and looked his way, shutting your door and offering a smile.
âHey,â you managed before Steve got up to you, and his serious expression made your smile fall. âAre you okay..?â
âSeven years ago I asked you if one day youâd want to get away from all of this,â Steve started. You remembered the conversation far too well, and immediately shut your mouth in a tight expression. A heaviness filled your chest, but you tried your best to ignore it. âFrom this life where we were needing to be more than just us⊠Do you remember?â
âYes-â
âI told you that I would wait for you, no matter how long it took, no matter what happened, because.. Because you have been the best thing to happen to me since I came out of the ice. You taught me how to live again,â Steve continued.
âSteve,â you whispered, but he kept going.
âI love you,â he admitted, finally looking into your eyes. They were darker than usual, and you could see he meant it. âI couldnât go another day without telling you. Because.. You feel like home.â
Steve grabbed a hold of your hands, and you watched as he placed something into your palms. He retracted his hold on you and your fingers curled over the soft velvety box in your hand. You looked up at him with curious eyes, and slowly used your thumb to open the box and let out a small gasp.
âSteve,â you whispered, staring down at the contents.
âIt was my moms.. SHIELD saved it when I went into the ice,â Steve explained. You carefully ran your finger over the gold banded ring that practically shined up at you. You hadnât seen a more beautiful piece of jewelry, and did your best to fight back the tears. âIâm not expecting an answer.. But I just wanted you to see that I meant it. It was always meant for you anyway.. Maybe we still have a shot at that normal life.â
Your gaze went back up to his, and he smiled softly at you. You were speechless as one of his hands grabbed onto your arm and he leaned down to press a chaste kiss to your forehead. And then you watched him take a couple steps back, before he turned around and went back the direction you both had just come.Â
You were shocked, which even then felt like an understatement. Steve just.. Proposed. Inadvertently? Well it was purposeful, and if Natasha knew about it you were going to kill her for not saying anything. It took you a while to reclose the box and carefully place it into a pocket in your bag, it was delicate and you wanted to take care of it.
And well.. It certainly kept your mind occupied on your drive to Tonyâs cabin.
Tony had left your room untouched for the most part, which was a welcomed thing to come into. You werenât up for too long, forcing Tony to go to bed, but you did spend some time scrolling through your phone. Steve was right when he had said he wasnât expecting an answer right away, you half expected a message of some sort but things seemed relatively quiet from his end. It was harder to fall asleep that night, you found yourself drifting off to what would happen if you said yes.
Youâd want to move somewhere quiet, like what Tony did. That would give you a chance to refocus yourself.. Would that even be something Steve would be open to doing?.. Could he get you the same help he had gotten Barnes (Natasha said he felt at peace for once)? Hell, if they could just wipe out any lingering thoughts of Hydra youâd never have another problem in your life.
Whatâs more.. If you said no would this be what you life is like? Alone, and longing for the maybeâs that could have been? Which was better? Risk getting involved again, or risk never having that connection to someone again? It wasnât the ideal question to fall asleep to.
When morning broke and sunlight peeked through the blinds, you woke up and found yourself sitting among the sheets and staring at the open box in your hands. The diamond that sat in the middle and gleamed in the sunlight made you sigh, it felt as if it was screaming at you that you knew what you wanted to tell him.
Did you?
You snapped the box closed and hid it in a drawer beside the bed and decided to change into something other than sweatpants for the day. After finishing and bounding down the stairs you ended up behind your favorite little niece, and scooped her up into a bear hug from behind. âThereâs my little sleeping beauty!â
âShe couldnât wait to see her favorite aunt today,â Pepper remarked from the kitchen amongst the giggles that erupted from her daughter. You peppered kisses on Morganâs head, and Pepper turned around as she was drying what you assumed was breakfast dishes. âTony barely had to tuck her in before she was out.â
You set Morgan back down on the ground and she went back to messing with a toy on the breakfast table. You ruffled her hair and went to grab a cup of coffee before resting your hip against the counter besides Pepper. âHow has he been?â
âA little stir crazy,â Pepper admitted to which you nodded lightly and sipped at your warm mug. âHe put up this picture of the kid and I catch him getting lost looking at it.â
âAnd how have you been?â You asked. Pepper glanced your way and smiled.
âHoping one day heâll finally rest his mind.â
Eventually, you brought Morgan outside who immediately ran towards her tent and disappeared inside. You went towards the shed with an open door, and leaned against the frame, taking in the sight of Tony wielding what you could make out was a helmet. âWork never stops for you, does it?â
Tony glanced over his shoulder and waved you in, which you accepted. You came up behind him and gripped his shoulders and gave him a squeeze. âYouâre supposed to be retired, old man.â
âItâs just a little project,â Tony tried to assure you. You couldnât help but scoff, and pointed your thumb to a corner of the room.
âSays the one who built me a new suit last year,â you teased. Tony used one hand to back hand your side playfully and you laughed. You stood beside him now, and grabbed a picture frame sitting on the shelf over where he worked. It was a picture of the two of you when you were younger, barely big enough to fit the frame, and slightly discolored. You ran your hand over the front before putting the frame back and rubbing your hands together. âCan I talk to you about something..?â
âAnything, kid,â Tony said, overly engrossed in the task in front of him. You took a deep breath and shrugged your shoulders, not that he could even see you.
âWhen did you know that.. Well that you didnât want to wait anymore? To start a family?âÂ
Tony immediately stopped what he was working on, taking off a pair of clear protective glasses and setting his tool down. When he turned to face you and rest his elbow on the table, he tilted his head and scrunched his brows. âExcuse me?â
âCome on Tony, Iâm being serious,â you told him.
âYeah well so am I!â Tony exclaimed and stood. You watched as he stood from his stool and started to pace back and forth. You crossed your arms and huffed. He was acting like such a child! As if he could read your thoughts he stopped and pointed a finger at you. âItâs Steve isnât it? Is he pressuring you or something?â
âWhat? No! Why would you even think that-â
âBecause heâs hard headed and doesnât know when to stop,â Tony said, cutting you off. You shook your head and scoffed.
âTony please, this isnât about you two-â
âI told him if he messes with your feelings again.. I swear when I get a hold of him,â Tony started pacing again and you rolled your eyes and started towards him. âHe has some nerve-â
âTony,â you stopped him dead in his tracks and made him face you, finally getting a hold of his gaze. âHe didnât do anything to me, okay? If anything.. Heâs been trying to make up to me what happened.â
Tony sighed and his expression softened, but you shrugged. âI know he lied to us about knowing what happened to mom and dad⊠But you always told me that I wasnât what Hydra made me, that what I did wasnât me but them⊠Tony, why is Barnes so different?â
âSteve lied to us,â Tony said in a low tone. âHe lied to protect his friend but what about us, huh? We werenât his friends? We didnât deserve to know the truth?â
âHe handled it wrong Tony, I know. Iâm just saying does that outweigh all the good he did for us,â you offered. Tony sighed and looked away for a moment as if annoyed. You grabbed a hold of his hand and it forced him to look back at you. âHeâs trying.. And you told me that sometimes just trying was a good start.â
Tony sighed and raised a brow at you. âI hate it when you throw things back in my face like that.â
You chuckled and Tony used his free hand to cover the hand holding his. âLook Iâm still iffy on the idea but.. If Rogers is who you want to be with then who am I to stop it? Iâm a family man now anyway, I have bigger fish to fry.â
And with that his phone buzzed in his pocket, and while he fished it out you laughed little. âSheâs turning out too much like you.â
âScares me to death everyday,â Tony replied while checking the message from Pepper. âTime to feed the munchkin anyway, we can continue this talk later when Iâve had a couple drinks.â
Tony and you walked side by side to Morganâs play tent, and after finally getting her out. Tony whisked her up when you felt your phone buzz, and you pulled it out to see a notification from Natasha. It was weird, she normally didnât bother you when you were with Tony, she always said to focus on family time. You fell back a few steps and read her message.
Nat: Heads up, you got incoming.
âIncoming?â You muttered to yourself as you came up the steps behind Tony. You nearly knocked into him. You followed his gaze to the car coming to a stop in front of his cabin, and watched Steve, Natasha, and someone else get out. Steveâs expression was serious, hell all of theirs were and Tony didnât look amused. Natasha offered a nod to Tony and he turned to you, and you took Morgan from him with a smile. âLetâs go see mom, hm?â
You quietly walked inside and set Morgan at the table and met Pepperâs look before she returned to watching out the window. You ruffled Morganâs hair and returned back outside, the screen door thumping closed behind you. The three visitors started up the stairs as you rejoined Tonyâs side.
âSorry for dropping in unannounced,â Steve offered. Tony glanced your way with a look. You could only shrug. What? You didnât know they were coming. But if they did then.. Something was up.
âWe have something though that we think might work.. To get everyone back,â Natasha said. Your breath hitched, and when you looked over at Tony there was a hint of something in his eyes. The third person stepped forward and nodded at the both of you.
âHave you two heard of the Quantum Realm?â
It was.. A long explanation. Everyone was gathered in a circle at this point, and in all honesty you had a hard time following along. There were stolen glances between you and Steve, and each time a feeling grew in the pit of your stomach. But you forced yourself to pay attention because this was big.. Could it work though?
âNow, we know what this sounds like,â Scott had finished up before Steve cut in.
âTony, after everything youâve seen, is anything really impossible?â He asked. Tony was looking out to the lake near his home but when addressed he looked back at the group and gripped onto the railing.
âQuantum fluctuation messes with the Planck Scale, which then triggers the Deutsch Proposition. Can we agree on that?â Tony asked. You glanced at everyone else and cleared your throat.
âMaybe for those of us not fluent in quantum mechanics, Tony?â You asked. Tony sighed and tapped his fingers on the wood.
âIn laymanâs terms, it means youâre not coming home,â was all he offered.
âBut I did,â Scott offered. Tony shook his head at that.
âNo, you accidentally survived,â Tony corrected. âIt's a billion to one cosmic fluke. And now you wanna pull off a... What do you call it?â
Scott cleared his throat. âA time heist..?â
Tony scoffed in a joking manner and rubbed his forehead. âYeah, a time heist. Of course, why didn't we think of this before?â
âThe Stones are in the past. We can go back and get them,â Scott tried to reason.
âWe can snap our own fingers. We can bring everyone back,â Natasha chimed in.
âOr screw it up worse than he already has, right?â Tony asked. Steve shrugged his shoulders.
âI donât believe we would,â Steve said.
âGotta say, sometimes I miss that giddy optimism,â Tony said in a sarcastic tone. Everyone went back and forth for a while. Tony shot down every claim, and the rest tried to tell him thereâs always a chance. The back and forth didnât stop until the screen door was pushed open and Morgan came up to Tonyâs side.
âMommy told me to come and save you,â she said. You couldnât help but smile and cross your arms. Tony picked her up and pat her back.
âGood job, Iâm saved,â he reassured her. He refocused on the group and offered a shrug. âI wish you'd come here to ask me something else. Anything else. Honestly, I... I missed you guys, it was... Oh, and table's set for seven.â
.âTony, I get it. And I'm happy for you, I really am. But this is a second chance,â Steve tried again, but Tony shook his head.
âI got my second chance right here,â Tony told him. You could see Steve accept his denial and then met Tonyâs gaze. âI canât roll the dice again.â
Tony excused himself and the porch fell silent. You watched him disappear into the house and looked back at the group in front of you. No one knew what to say, but Natasha was the first to speak. âSorry for interrupting your weekend.â
âWell when you have a hell of a plan like that I donât expect you to wait normal business hours,â you replied. Natasha sadly smiled and you sighed. âTony has everything heâs ever wanted.. I donât know if I can sweet talk him into helping.â
âWe know,â Steve offered and gave a sad smile. âWe just wanna do it right.â
âTony may not be on board but.. If thereâs a chance? Iâm in,â you offered. Nat reached out and pat your shoulder and as if knowingly, she turned around and pulled Scott with her. You took a couple steps towards Steve and he straightened up a bit. âNice to see you back, Cap.â
âOne last mission,â Steve whispered. You smiled and looked behind him at the car he had come in and Natasha smirked at you. You met Steveâs gaze again and slowly lifted her young to rest on his cheek. On your tiptoes and with the sun basking in the sky, you leaned up and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. Steve had leaned into your touch, his lips pressing against yours as if it would be the last. After a couple seconds you pulled away and you both lingered close.
âGo save the world one more time, Captain.â

Misty Day x GN!Reader
requested by @rainbow-hedgehog(thank you sm, fam!!)
A/N: Iâm not actually sure how far one can travel with transmutation, so I just kinda used my own rules here. Feel free to correct me if Iâm wrong!!
I think there are lots of places in the world Misty would want to visit and learn about, but for the first trip the two of you take together, you decide to stay in the states.
You both think a trip to the desert is something youâd enjoy, so the two of you head west.
On a longer trip like this, I think misty would prefer to go full hippie, wanting to ride in a van or station wagon, something with enough room so that the two of you can sleep in the back at night, instead of spending money on a hotel or something.
Youâre the one driving... Iâm pretty sure Misty doesnât know how.
Sheâll obviously have you stop at the corner store before heading out of town, to stock up on snacks.
She brings lots of sweet tunes for you to listen to while youâre on the road, with plenty of Stevie, of course.
If the two of you ever do stay in a hotel for whatever reason, I think Misty would honestly have the time of her life.
Sheâd want a room with a large tub so that the two of you can take nice, relaxing bubble bath togetherđ„ș
Misty also finds herself becoming enthralled with television.
Sheâs never really gotten the chance to watch much; she honestly never thought sheâd have the desire to, until late one evening when youâre hunkered down in bed.
You flip through the channels until you land on Nick at Nite, where an old rerun of Full House is playing.
âSo that one... Heâs the dad, right?â Misty points to Bob Sagetâs character on the screen.
âRight.â You nod slowly, trying your best to hide a smile.
âAnd the other two, they just help him raise the kids?â
âYeah.â
âInteresting...â she murmurs, popping a potato chip into her mouth before leaning back against you, using your chest as a pillow
You canât stifle your grin this time, kissing the top of her head as you watch her become more and more enthralled with the show.
Sheâs also be a big fan of any hotel that offers a free continental breakfast.
If you go to one, sheâs likely to try to smuggle a couple of oranges into her bag for the road.
Misty will always do her best to make sure youâre entertained and laughing while you travel.
Aside from singing along with the music she constantly has playing quietly, this includes animatedly pointing out cool buildings and signs of wildlife that go whizzing by the windows.
She sometimes uses telekinesis to send snacks into your mouth, something that never fails to send her into a fit of giggles.
âGotta keep your hands on the wheel, Y/N,â she reasons when you shake your head in amusement.
One evening, when the two of you are only a few hours from your destination, you decide to pull over and set up camp, wanting your first day there to be a full one.
The sunâs rays are just beginning to dissipate from the sky when the two of you move to your little makeshift bed in the back of your vehicle.
Watching the sunset with Misty that night is one of the most beautiful things youâve ever witnessed and a memory you know youâll hang onto for the rest of your life.
Her darkened silhouette against the wide, open sky as it changes from orange, to pink, to an inky purple seems otherworldly to you.
âCan you believe all those colors?â she asks excitedly. Youâre both half sitting up, you propped up against the backseat behind you with her reclining between your legs. She turns to you with a questioning gaze and the sweet smile on her face has your heart soaring.
Thereâs no moment youâd rather be in than this one.
âYeah, it is,â you answer, cupping her chin in your hands as you lean in to press a tender kiss to her lips. âOnly one thing Iâd rather look at...â You offer a wink and the blush that overcomes her then is enough, you think, to rival the sun, currently painted a brilliant red.
When the two of reach your destination the next day, you spend most of your time in nature; itâs the place youâre both happiest.
After doing a little research, you end up finding a small valley within the national park youâre visiting that people online say is generally mostly deserted; the perfect place if you want a little seclusion.
Perfect for both you and Misty.
And sure enough, when you arrive, youâre the only two in the area.
After several minutes of walking around hand-in-hand, exploring, Misty turns to you, positively beaming. The embrace she pulls you into then nearly knocks the wind out of you, having caught you completely off-guard.
âWhatâs this for?â you ask, running your hands gently across her shoulder blades and resting your head on her shoulder as you catch your breath.
âThis is perfect,â she gushes, moving in for a loving kiss. âI couldnât have done this without you.â
âMisty, youâre literally a witch. You couldâve used transmutation to get here if you wanted.â She shakes her head at your comment, her ringed fingers warm against your cheeks when she leans in to cup your face
âThat wouldnât have been the same,â she mumbles, her curls tickling the sides of your face. âThey say half the fun of a road trip is getting there. I always kinda thought that was bullshit, but with you... itâs different. Itâs the truth.â
Itâs this moment that it hits you just how in love you are with Misty Day.

Starker High School AU Pt. 7 (1...6)
tw: general Howard Stark warning
----
So, hereâs the thing.
Peter meant to ask May about the letter the night he got it back from Tony, He really did. But then everyone was in such a good mood, he couldnât bring himself to shatter that to satisfy his own curiosity.
So then he meant to ask the next day.
And he tries, he really does.
But the letter feels as heavy as an anvil in his desk drawer and Peter is too nervous to ask about it. Something always comes up or he gets too scared to shatter the image of the good, obedient nephew he is, one who doesnât go rifling through mail not addressed to him, prying into personal business.
So he flusters and stumbles pretty badly for the first couple attempts. He changes topic quickly, pretending like he was going to ask about something else, asking himself where exactly his business ends and where his curiosity begins.
Once during a gymnastics comp he stopped mid routine to check on a rival who had fallen from the rings and injured themselves. His coach asked when he was going to stop being a goddamn martyr.
He shakes the Magic 8-Ball on Monday morning and asks the universe if itâs an appropriate time to approach May.
Reply hazy, try again.
Well, thatâs not what his flagging courage had hoped for. He shakes it again.
Ask again later.
One more time, harder.
Better not tell you now.
âWhat the hell,â he whispers, placing it haphazardly upon where he took it. âThatâs bullshit.â
âWhatâs with the potty mouth,â May asks suddenly from behind him. He turns as sheâs affixing some dangling earrings to her ears. âWhatâs wrong, kiddo?â
âNothing,â he sighs. âJust - do you have a minute?â
She checks her watch. âI have about forty seconds. Is something wrong - are you okay?â
âNo - I mean yes, Iâm okay. Are...are you?â
âTop of the world, bubby,â she scoops her keys from the bowl, approaching him with a curious expression. âWhy do you ask?â
Thereâs no easy way to ask without blatantly admitting to going through her things, and the last thing he wants her to think is that she canât trust him.
âI just mean. If you werenât. If there was something wrong, you would tell me, right?â
âOf course,â her face falls. âYouâre acting strange, Pete.â
âI just worry, thatâs all.â
Youâre all I have left, is what loops over and over in his mind, but doesnât say. She seems to hear it anyway, rushing forward and kissing his forehead, her perfume filling his nose.
âEverything is fine, bubs. The second it isnât, youâll be the first to know.â
âOkay.â
âI gotta go, but stop worrying okay? Thatâs my job. You have a good day.â
She hurries to scoop up her handbag and closes the door before heâs broken out of his thoughts long enough to reply. He sighs and shakes the stupid ball again before he leaves as well.
Cannot predict now.
Of course.
Just for once heâd like fate to be firmly on his side.
---
Something smells weird.
Itâs sharp, chemical and not entirely unpleasant. Noticeable, however, sharp enough to cut through the usual musty smell of the library. Itâs like apple cider, but overpowers the usual library smell of old books and dust and pencil shavings, a scent Peter has long associated with study, solitude, and the easing of his anxious heart from a gallop to a steady stride.
Itâs not a bad smell, just misplaced.
And Tonyâs been acting strange all study period. Like, weirder than normal - and his resting state of normal is already ineffably frenetic and bewildering, so this was an entirely different carton of eggs.
Peter doesnât exactly want to bring it up, theyâre kind of on a tenuously peaceful truce, a silent lay down of arms, so to speak.
Well, as peaceful as a truce can be while they call each other all sorts of names and rib each other over literally any sign of weakness, but still. They have some sort of an understanding now, and itâs all relatively innocent, good natured banter.
Mostly.
Peter for sure could have done without being called fuck-face-mcgee upon entering the library, but heâs willing to let it pass. He was late, after all.
âAnyway,â Peter says, sitting across the table from Tony, âso I think if we removed the monthly gym membership, weâd have an extra sixty per month that could go towards other stuff.â
âLike what?â Tonyâs face pinches.
âI donât know, like a college fund?â
âRidiculous idea. I need that membership,â Tony rebukes, shrugging his leather jacket off, hooking it over the back of the chair. âWhen else am I supposed to get a reprieve from you and the cabbage patch?â
âWhen do I get a reprieve? Iâm the money-maker. When do I get my break from work and childcare?â
âAt work. What are you, like an art teacher or something? Your whole day is like a rich, white woman's vacation. Parents donât get a lunch break.â
âRight. Iâm sure watching Dora and burping an infant is as hard as teaching a class of thirty.â
âWow. So dismissive. I mean, if you were a good spouse, you would give your withered and weary husband a break from screaming babies and shitty diapers.â
âMhmm. That would mean Iâd have to do something nice for you, and that doesnât sound like me.â
Tony shakes his head. âWeâre getting a divorce as soon as Molly is old enough to pick me as the superior parent,â he points to Peterâs papers. âPut that in the notes.â
Peter closes his eyes and sighs, willing himself not to lean over the table and smack the other boy.
âYou are not the superior parent. Youâre the deadbeat that forgets to pick her up from school and day drinks.â
âAnd yet, she loves me the most. Youâre just the breadwinner who comes home grumpy every evening. Iâm the cool dad.â
âFine, keep your druglord baby. I never wanted kids anyway.â
âFine. Iâm keeping the car.â
âIâm keeping the apartment.â
âGood.â
âGreat.â
They snicker quietly in a rare moment of camaraderie before a lightbulb goes off in Peter's head.
âWhat if we used the membership, but cut costs elsewhere, like, cutting our own hair and stuff. We could save for a yearly holiday, go to the beach or something.â
âFlorida! Disney, roadtrip, yes,â Tony clicks his fingers towards Peter, smiling wide. âLook at you getting all savvy. Call the judge, the marriage is back on.â
âYou canât go to Disney for a few hundred dollars, dumbass, thatâs barely the price of admission,â Peter scribbles on his pad, making note of their ideas. âYou ever been?â
âNope.â
âReally?â
âNot even once.â
âThatâs surprising. Isnât that where all rich white people take their baby sociopaths to beat up their first mascot?â
âOne, I was never a baby, I emerged fully grown, and two, could you imagine Howard Stark within a mile of the happiest place on earth? Heâd have a fucking stroke,â his face changes like heâs had an epiphany. âNot a bad idea, actually.â
Peter doesnât mention that he doesnât personally know Howard Stark but is willing to take Tonyâs assessment at face value. That being said, he canât imagine Tony, now, voluntarily heading to Disney without coercion or the promise of copious quantities of alcohol. Heâd probably smoke and cuss and scare away small children.
He mind lingers on that particular characterisation, and for a moment tries to picture what Tony looked like as a kid, if he was a chubby, toothless little brat, canât help then imagining him with Mickey Mouse ears, gleefully running through his gigantic home, harried caretakers running after him.
He must have been the worst.
âIâve never been further than Washington,â Peter offers, âbut that was for AcDec, so it wasnât like we got to see much.â
âYou did Academic Decathlon?â
âYep.â
âEw, why would you do that to yourself.â
âI still do it. It looks good on college applications and itâs fun,â he shrugs. âI like it. Iâm good at it.â
Tonyâs hands cover his mouth, but it doesnât stifle the rising apple of his cheeks or the mirth in his voice.
âIâm feeling so much second-hand embarrassment for you right now.â
âShut up,â Peter huffs, kicking him under the table, satisfied when the other boy winces. He fails to smother his own wince when he gets a kick in return, right in the kneecap. âNothing wrong with being an intellectual.â
âYouâre a fucking nerd, four-eyes.â
âWhat about you?â Peter rolls his eyes, keen to change the subject. âBeen outside New York?â
Tony shrugs, tapping his pen on the pad, looking anywhere but at him. âWhen I was younger Iâd sometimes go on my dad's business trips to Europe or Japan or whatever. And we have a house in Malibu.â
âThat sounds awesome.â
Tony snorts. He shuffles on his seat, sliding their notes over and making further amendments in quick strokes, the cheap pen spurting bright red ink over the paper like arterial spray.
âOh yeah, it was a real blast.â
Spoiled brat.
âAre you going anywhere for Thanksgiving?â
âWith my family?â Tony looks up. âNo, Iâd rather stick my head up a turkeyâs ass. You?â
Without warning, Peterâs hand flies to cover his mouth, unable to  but snort at the imagery, Heâs not sure if Tony just doesnât get along with his family or if heâs still stuck in that churlish, âtoo cool to be around my parentsâ stage of adolescence. Itâs one the idiosyncrasies that would have annoyed Peter before, his ungratefulness of having a family thatâs still alive would be just another thing for Peter to hate him for.
Now, he thinks, heâs beginning to parse out when Tonyâs being sincere and when heâs  hyperbolic, finally recognising the latter as a mechanism to throw someone off a topic that makes Tony uncomfortable. He sees it - the warning lights and stop signs in barbed coding, wrapped up in dry wit and sarcasm.
Peter is like that sometimes, too.
And what the hell would Peter know about having a normal family.
âYeah, actually, for once,â he says softly. âMy aunt - not May - and uncle have a holiday home up north, so weâre staying with them over the long weekend.â
âSâcool. Mayâs family?â
Peter shakes his head. âSort of - theyâre not actually related, but May and Margaret have been best friends since college, so.â
âIs Margaret a babe, too?â
Peter throw a chewed-up pencil at him that he catches easily.
âDonât be gross.â
âIâm not,â he throws the pencil back, overshooting and hitting the shelves behind them. âWhat are we talking, on a scale of haggard to hottie.â
âI donât know, man. You seem to have questionable taste in the people you are attracted to.â
Tony grins crookedly, eyes shining with something Peter canât decipher. âAin't that the truth.â
âWhatâs the supposed to --â he stops himself, suddenly recognising what the strange scent was that heâd been picking up. âWait - dude, are you wearing cologne?â
Tonyâs mouth opens and closes a few times before he responds. âNo,â he denies, just as the bell rings. âOh, look at that, time to get to class.â
Saved by the bell.
âSo, this is it,â Tony nods, shutting the lid of his laptop as the bell signals the end of their free period. âWeâre done. The assignment. Thatâs the last of it, right?â
Dazedly, he watches Tony stuffing his laptop and notes into his backpack, brow creasing as his mind catches up.
âUh, yeah. I guess.â
âSend me your notes tonight, Iâll stitch them together with mine and send them back.â
âOkay,â he sluggishly collects his own notes, picking up the bag by his feet. âThatâs - thatâs good.â
âWell, Parker,â Tony slings his backpack on his shoulder, shuffling backwards, âwe didnât kill each other. I mean, not for a lack of wanting on my behalf.â
ââYeah, from Wednesday weâre free. We can go back to normal.â
âYeah,â Tonyâs grin fades. They stare at each other for a long moment that could have been seconds or hours, he doesnât know, until the second bell rings.
âHey, um --â
âIâll send you the notes later,â Tony interrupts, sotto voce. âI gotta get to class. See you around.â
Something in his stomach deflates, sadly and slowly, like a balloon with a pinprick, emptying itself until itâs an uncomfortably hard to digest crumpled mass at the base of his stomach. He pastes on a smile and looks out the window, hoping the feeling doesnât show in his eyes.
Thatâs when he notices the leather jacket Tony has left behind, still slung over the back of the chair.
âYou left yourâŠâ he trails off, turning back, but Tony is already long gone, probably already halfway to his next class. Like a bat out of hell, Peter thinks wryly, picking up the jacket, the leather smooth like butter under his touch, still warm around the collar where Tonyâs had been leaning against it.
No good leaving it here to get stolen or be tossed into lost property. He decides to take it with him, folding it gently over his arm. Heâll give it back when he sees him again, maybe after school.
âNice jacket, Parker,â Flash says approvingly when Peter bumps into him out in the hall.
At first he thinks heâs referring to Peterâs ratty hoodie, and it confounds him for a moment because itâs decidedly not nice, but then he realizes heâs referring to the leather in his arms.
âItâs not mine,â he replies a little too late, because Flash is already down the hall, out of earshot.
Peter sighs. Itâs beginning to become a depressing theme.
---
The weird feeling in his chest doesnât subside all afternoon, and into the evening Peter is starting to think maybe he just has indigestion, like acid reflux or something. Must be the chilli surprise from lunch. Maybe heâd missed his meds.
He sends his portion of the final notes to Tonyâs email, turns off his computer and switches on Colbert.
---
Itâs not until hours later, well after midnight and the infomercials are playing, only then does his phone buzz against his thigh with a response.
Figures that Tony would be a night owl like him.
> soz was distracted > youtube spiral
Peter shifts downwards on the bed, holding the phone over his face. < sâok < what were you watching > say yes to the dress < lmao really > lol no > anyway, looks good. ur notes > will print off for u to sign tomorrow < is that a compliment or an admission u were wrong about meÂ
> neither. One subject does not a genius make > unlike me, an actual genius
In your dreams, dipshit, he wants to type, but doesnât, not really keen to provoke a muddy discussion on who is the smartest (itâs definitely Peter).
< u left ur jacket in the library btw, I have it, he texts instead, his pulse jumping when Tony replies with crying emojiâs.
Tony sends him a snap, unexpectedly, a sad face that makes Peter snort. His face seems distressed, the caption reads, thought i lost it for good.
Shifting down further on the bed, heâs feeling suddenly and inexplicably courageous, fire burning up from his belly button to his fingers.
Peter takes a silly photo of himself and sends it back. > didnât want it to get stolen < aw u care
âI do not,â he whispers to himself. > i do not. come collect it after school tomorrow or im throwing it out. < u wouldnât do that to me > thereâs a lot of things i would do 2 u > .... > um > lolÂ
Peterâs face flames at the implication. He reads over what he just so carelessly typed, stomach positively knotted with embarrassment. Oh god, that is not what he meant. His fingers fly over the screen at record speed as he types out a response. < NOT LIKE THAT < I MEANT IT IN A THREATENING WAY < IâM LITERALLY GAGGING > yikes > ur dirty talk needs work < no it DOESNâT bc weâre not sexting > sure jan > damn. didnât kno u had it in u bubs < i donât have it in me > not yet > ;)
Despite the deep blush still heating his face and his heart galloping in his chest, a laugh breaks out of him. The phone in his hand vibrates again. > jk jk, not ever > need to bleach my brain nowÂ
Slowly gliding back to earth he types out a response. < ikr me too < ugh.
He puts his phone down on the bed, looking up at the water-stained ceiling, amusement slowly fading. His pulse though, that doesnât return to normal.
How could it when his mind suddenly runs away from him, evoking short-lived, but nonetheless strikingly vivid images of intertwined legs, planes of pale skin, and lush lips. How can the heat in his stomach escape when his thoughts conjure phantom sensations of a soft mouth sucking on his neck, the punishing grip of hands on his hips and the warmth and weight of another body on top of his own.
A forehead leaning against his, brown eyes that knocked his pulse off kilter.
The taste of nicotine.
Stop it.
That is dangerous territory right there. And a line he doesnât want to cross.
Shaking his head, Peter swings his legs over the side of the bed and sits up, looking anywhere for a distraction; his window, the posters on his wall, his figurines on his shelves, anything to douse the low-burning fire in his gut.
Standing, he heads to the bathroom to get ready for bed, banging their crappy old heater with his fist to get it working again.
He takes a very cold shower.
----
Itâs not that Peter doesnât enjoy sex.
Not that heâs had it.
But he enjoys jerking off, at least. Like a regular amount, whatever that is for a teenage boy. He likes kissing. Likes thinking about one day being in a real relationship and exploring someone's body and he likes exploring what turns him on and what he doesnât.
Itâs just that he doesnât let himself think of anyone he knows personally that way, no matter how conventionally attractive they are - not Thor, and especially not him.
Typically, his fantasies are people with vague features, sometimes with bodies like those he has seen in porn, all shapes and sizes. And thatâs safe for him.
He doesnât want to have to look anyone he knows in the eye and wonder what their lips would feel like pressed against his own. If theyâre any good at kissing. If theyâre the type to take control or cede it.
He does wonder, sometimes though. No matter how much he denies what or who he wants.
Because it doesnât matter if itâs a person or a thing. Want is never superficial in his experience, it doesnât feel good most of the time. Itâs deep and sometimes dark, it sinks itself into him with its hooks and it tugs, and keeps tugging. It yields to craving and yearning.
Back in his bedroom, his eyes land on his wall-mounted mirror. Itâs small. Like the Mona Lisa. Small enough that he doesnât have to see his whole reflection if he doesnât want to.
He doesnât want to crave and yearn for anybody, because he knows it will always be one sided. Heâs well aware that he isnât exactly centrefold material.
Who is gonna look at his weird ears or thin lips, and think, shit, thatâs the guy of my dreams. Not with his big glasses or the way his hair twists itself into frizzy, unruly curls once the gel wears off and he starts looking like an unkempt labradoodle.
Who would want to wake up next to him? No one.
So itâs better not to risk imagining anyone real. Itâs only in his head that anyone could ever want him back.
His eyes go from the mirror to the jacket folded and placed on his desk. It was intended to be plain sight so he remembers to bring it in - out of sight, out of mind, is what Ben would say. He can still smell the cologne Tony denied wearing earlier.
Once heâs in bed, he turns to face the wall.
Out of sight, out of mind.
---
Maybe Tony subscribes to that mantra as well.
Peter forgets to bring the jacket in all week and Tony doesnât ask.
---
Danvers wants him fit and ready to be harpooned into the mud by next week; thatâs why she looks the other way when Thor and Peter take their informal training in the boundaries of the field, stretching out on the grass as the JV team runs their usual morning drills - drills Peter would have been a part of before his stupid injury and his stupid wrist-brace.
This school is stupid too. Now he has to pay to see a doctor so he can get medically cleared for a sport he doesnât really care that much about.
Like he didnât have enough medical bills to deal with.
In any case, heâs not really in a position to complain, because he has the opportunity now to run through his warm-up with Thor, who is taking his direction to spread his legs into a butterfly position so beautifully, even as his knees raise from the ground to make a v-shape, whereas Peterâs lie flat on the grass.
If the last few days had been different, he might have blushed and used the situation at hand as an opening to place his hands on Thorâs knees and applied pressure. But now he just smiles encouragingly and reminds himself that he has no chance - no place - and his hands do not belong anywhere but his own body.
And surprisingly enough, heâs okay about it all.
Thor was a good guy. Peter will never say no to having more friends.
Itâs a dreadful, bitter morning. Icy cold, wind biting into his shirt, the grass below them is damp. He has to keep rubbing his hands together so he can restore feeling in his fingers.
To make things worse, Tony is back on the bleachers. White v-neck, jeans and dark sunglasses. Sprawled out over a set of steps, legs askew, arms behind his head, unmoving as if he were napping or sunbathing, appearing like a cocky main out of an eighties movie.
Or a king surveying his kingdom.
Rhodes and Potts slouch on either side of him, swapping phones over his idle figure, taking pictures and laughing amongst themselves.
âIt burns,â Thor says lightly, hands on his thighs in an attempt to aim his knees to touch the ground.
âYeah,â Peter agrees, despite the ease in which he can lean in. âIt just takes practice, dude. Twenty minutes a day, warm up and donât over-do it. Youâll be limber in no time.â
âYou can do this better than I can,â Thor argues, accent thick as he tries to lie flat like Peter.
âAnd you can lift a hundred pounds better than I can,â he tries to rebut, even as they switch positions, hip flexors aching with old injuries.
While the stretches are like second nature, he doesnât miss the pressure of training for competition. The eagerness to get into a flat butterfly or oversplit. There was no argument that he spent nights on crunches back then, and he was somewhat toned - but he was shit at weight training. He hated lifting. Reps were more boring, more tedious and difficult and the diet required to give them any value was frankly not worth giving up a great hotdog or a loaded sub from Delmars. He wouldnât go back to it now.
None of that old heat is there when he inspects Thorâs form. That quick simmer, the call to be closer. That terrible thing, want. All but gone. awe is still there, as he suspects it always would be with someone as outstanding as Thor, but the butterflies have very much flown away.
As he suspected would be the case. He has someone and theyâre happy. With the cat out of the bag Thor had shown Peter pictures of his boyfriend all morning. Heâd gotten a puppy, apparently, which just tickled Thor. He was so happy it was almost sickening.
When is it gonna be him that sickens someone with photoâs of his partner?
âHey, Parker,â Tony yells from the stands, âyou suck!â
Looking over, the idiot is raised on his elbows and grinning, like heâs proud of himself for a spectacularly unoriginal insult.
Rolling his eyes, Peter gives him the finger and he gets one in return.
His stomach twists and he has to duck his head to conceal his smile.
âYour husband is somewhat rude,â Thor says, following Peterâs example and switching from a pike to a lunge.
Peter looks back over to the stands. A cigarette now dangles between Tonyâs full lips, sunglasses slid to the tip of his nose.
Thatâs how Peter knows heâs looking at him too.
Even from afar his eyes are round and mirthful, framed with ridiculously long lashes like a cartoon mouse, far too outlandish for any real person to have.
âHeâs the absolute worst,â Peter bites his bottom lip, quickly averting his gaze. âIt was an arranged marriage, to be fair.â
---
Wednesday comes and goes.
Their assignment gets handed in, Peter signs it off to say he did his fair portion of the work and Miss Ahn beams at the both of them when she is handed the thick binder, looking all too pleased with herself.
They have a presentation of their work next week, after Thanksgiving, each pair expected to give five minutes of their life pretending that theyâre passionate about schoolwork in front of their fellow students who donât care.
After that they are completely unburdened. No study sessions, no car rides, and no fries dipped in milkshakes.
Theyâre embarrassingly hailed as a prime example of people working through their differences, as if they had come together and were now friends or something.
From the front row Tony sneaks a furtive glance at Peter when she applauds them to the class.
âSee, kids,â she says, âit wasnât so bad working together, was it?â
Their eyes meet briefly.
âZero out of ten, would not do again,â Tony declares, brash and loud, kicking his combat boots onto his desk in a leisurely display.. âThat guy is the human equivalent of watching paint dry. Awful.â
âOh, come on,â she chides. âBe nice.â
Not one to be outdone, Peter lets his horse out of the gate too.
âSingular worst experience of my life. I once had a root canal without anaesthetic and it was less painful than working with him.â
âAlright, boys, thatâs enough out of you,â Miss Ahn sighs deeply, walking to the front of the room. âMr Lang, how did you find the assignment?â
âVery informativeâŠâ
From the front row Tony turns in his seat and winks at him.
----
âThanksgiving plans?â Natasha asks, leaning beside his locker, smothering a smile as he struggles to get his locker open for the nth time that day with one functional hand.
âVisiting my Aunt and Uncle,â he says, finally prying the damn thing open. âTheyâve got a place up at Otisco Lake, so. Probably watching old movies and swimming all weekend.â
âOof,â his friend winces. âThatâs a trip. Think the May-Mobile will make the distance?â
The May-Mobile of course to the ancient, â89 Volvo 240 that May has been driving ever since Peter was born. She adores it and refuses to trade in, despite the fact that it rarely gets driven, practically haemorrhages gas, and has cost more in repairs in the last five years than the actual value of the car. But May really loves it. It's sentimental. She says it was the car Ben and her picked out together.
âIt better make it,â he dumps his books in, closing the locker. âI donât want to spend the weekend waiting for AAA in the middle of nowhere. Whatâs your plans?â
She shrugs, walking with him down the hall.
âProbably go and annoy Yelena. Was supposed to spend it with Bucky and his mom, but that ain't happening.â
He bumps her shoulder sympathetically. âDo you think you two will get back together?â
âProbably. But heâs got a shitload of grovelling to do first.â
âDonât maim him, please. We need him on the team.â
âNo promises.â
âSpeak of the devil,â Peter adjusts his glasses, spotting Bucky at the base of the stairs talking to somebody. He gets startled, heart jumping when Natasha grabs him by the waist, pushing him towards the wall and inching them closer to the stairs.
âWhat are you --â
â -- Shh, I want to listen. Who is he talking to?â
Craning his head, he finds himself in for another surprise when he sees that the other person heâs talking to is --
âHeâs⊠heâs talking to Stark - what...?â
She shushes him again and Peter listens, curious now too.
â... what do you want, Barnes?â Tony visibly grimaces, taking a cigarette from his pocket and tucking it behind his ear. âMake it quick. I got places to be and your noxious stench gives me headaches.â
An announcement goes off over the loudspeaker over their head, calling for Brendon Bennett, a dick of a senior, to move his car from where he has blocked a teacher from leaving. It would be funny at any other time, but as it goes, he misses a chunk of their conversation.
â...Rogers isnât the boss of me.â
âYes, he is, and Iâm not getting suspended again because youâre a pussy and he has roid-rage.â
âI just need an ETA. Câmon, pal, I really need this.â
âIâm not your pal and I donât give a flying fuck what you need.â
Ever the easy going guy, Bucky puts his hands up placatingly as a group of students file down the stairs, causing enough noise that Peter misses whatever is said next. As he strains to hear he tries to draw the line between the dots, but comes up short on exactly how these two are connected.
âThat fucker,â Natasha mutters near his ear.
By the time the students clear, Tonyâs descended the stairs and begun to walk away
âI have better things to do than to sit around and wait for you,â Bucky calls out, giving him the finger.â
âAnd yet you will.â
Not in any possible lifetime was Peter going to address that he was weirdly relieved that Tony didnât flip him off in return, some part of him petulantly thinking thatâs our thing, but thatâs wrong - Peter and Tony are not friends and they do not have things, even when they do, itâs not like a thing thing.
Nat grips his hand and pulls him along when Bucky leaves as well, swiftly walking away to avoid being caught. His backpack jostles at the speed and he realizes heâs still clutching Tony's jacket from where he had retrieved it from his locker.
âWhat was that about?â He asks, struggling to keep up with his friend's furious pace as heâs led down the hall. âTash?â
She drops his hand once they are outside, her disapproval near palpable, voice laden with fire and fury.
âThatâs Bucky being a world class idiot, heâs gonna get himself expelled, I swear.â
Peter stops on the spot.
âExpelled?â
Something dark curls unpleasantly in his gut, heavy and not leaving.
âThey have a thing,â she explains hotly, mouth turning down. âBucky and Stark.â
âWhat?â Peter breathes, uncomfortably thinking back to the party and the way Bucky overtly complimented Tonyâs body. âLike a.... like a sex thing? Did he cheat on you?â
âWhat? No.â
âThen what?â
Red strands whipping in the wind, his friend looks around to see if there is anyone nearby before leaning in to speak low. He leans in too, unabashedly curious.
âDo you remember when Bucky was having issues with his parents when school started?â
He nods, thinking back to the times Bucky slept over in the late days of summer and early weeks of the school year, once or twice a week to get away from the shouting in his own home.
Natasha continues.
âDonât tell him I told you this, but he got really depressed and fell behind with his work and everything he was handing in was terrible. Danvers pulled him up and said if he didnât get his grades up, heâd be risking his spot on the team. So Bucky paid Stark to write up a few assignments for him, apparently he was doing it for a few kids, like it was a thing.â
...Okay.
That was not good, and definitely disappointing, but -
âRogers found out. He gave Bucky a warning, but with Stark he threatened to go to Fury.â
Peter thinks back to the fight between their captain and Stark and their fight not long ago. âThatâs why theyâŠâ
âIâm told Stark snapped, but I donât know. I found out about the whole paper thing after that and me and Buck fought about it. I just got so mad - heâs - heâs not stupid, you know?â
âI know.â
She exhales heavily through her nose. âHeâs going to get himself kicked out of school and Iâm so -- I could kill him. Weâre supposed to graduate together and get away from our families and go to college, and then he does this.â
âIâm sorry, Tash, I didnât know,â he hugs her, her body going stiff before relaxing in his hold. âThatâs shitty. For both of you.â
âIâm sorry for thinking you were in on the loop.â
He smiles, self-deprecating.
âNope, Iâm as clueless as ever.â
âNo, youâre just too good for that,â she shakes her head. âLook, I gotta go and blow off some steam. Please donât tell anybody about all this.â
âI won't, I swear - but text me later, alright? Let me know youâre okay.â
She ruffles his hair before stepping back.
âYouâre a bleeding heart, PP. Keep an eye on that, will you?â
Hearing a squeal of tyres, he whips his head around to the parking lot, the source of the noise. The Firebird squeals out of the lot and onto the road, the sound as angry, the glimpse Peter gets of Tonyâs face, even angrier.
He turns back to Nat, but sheâs already walked away. Which means she isnât there to hear him mutter to himself.
âWhat are you getting into, Tony?â
----
His thumbs hover over his phone that night, as he writes i saw u with barnes today.
He quickly deletes that, not wanting Tony to think that he was following him or spying on him - or worse, thinking that Peter actually cares about what he does. He doesnât. Theyâre not friends.
A dread settles in the spaces between his ribs, like thread trying to squeeze them together too tight, his lungs feeling compressed. Maybe itâs his asthma, or allergies.
Itâs not and he knows it. Heâs disappointed.
He rubs at his chest on his way home thinking about the scene they just saw and about what Natasha said. How is it that so many people in his orbit had this entire entanglement going on without Peter having any whiff of it? It really makes him wonder if they were they good at hiding it or was he just really fucking stupid. Stupid enough to think Bucky was doing okay, that Rogers wasnât as sanctimonious as he appeared to be, and that Tony was --
Nevermind.
Itâs none of his business and itâs not his place.
He knows better than to ask. Itâs not as if he can forget all his own secrets that he clutches tightly to his chest, so tight it feels like he constantly walks through life with his fists clenched.
That and, like May, the real truth is that he canât claim any entitlement to their trust. He eavesdropped in more ways than one these last two weeks. He tries to brush off that dry, sobering thought; itâs none of his business anyway and he has enough on his plate without getting involved.
When are you going to stop being such a goddamned martyr.
So then he thinks about the sheer fury on Tonyâs face, how his - how he used to look at Peter the same way, and how Peter used to think that angry and bitter was Tony's default mood. That was that. The status quo.
Well, that wasnât entirely fair, was it. It was easier to dislike Tony when he was distant enough that Peter could pigeon-hole him into a stereotype.
Because Tony got into fights, sure, countless and petty, but he was the guy who pet puppies and snuck them food under the table. Not the guy who kicked them.
He looked like the puppy that was kicked, though.
Not angry.
Wounded.
And thatâs what confuses Peter. Turns out he doesnât really know anything about his friends.
Or Tony, it would seem.
----
May closes the drivers-side door and throws a packet of snacks into Peterâs face.
âPretzels.â
âYeah, I can see that,â he adjusts his glasses where they'd been knocked askew.
âSorry, I thought your reflexes were better,â she says, and by way of apology, lobs a packet of sour gummies more gracefully on his lap. âYour favorite.â
âApology accepted.â
From a plastic bag she fishes out two cokes and places them in the centre console, a bag of red licorice and crackers follow, also making their way onto his lap. She always buys too much food.
Then theyâre turning back onto the highway that leads them out of where they paused at Monticello, the radio jacked up loud enough to be heard over the tiny droplets of raindrops sporadically hitting the windshield.
Theyâve left early enough that itâs still dark.
Fog still hangs low on the roadside, intangible pale wisps that seem to disintegrate upon crossing, the road dotted with other travellers, but not too crowded, enough so they can easily cruise the speed limit and sometimes over. The Bangles play on a cassette tape and, tapping her fingers on the steering wheel, May looks so carefree, driving her sentimental car with the noisy engine, singing along to the same cassettes sheâs had since she was his age.
Peter canât bring himself to say what he wants to. About the letters. One in particular. He knows something isn't right but who is he to break the peace?
So, he doesnât and they keep driving.
The fog lifts and the tunes continue, both of them singing familiar tunes from ABBA to George Michael and Peter letâs go of what he canât control and loses himself in the buoyancy of nostalgia - neither of them can carry a tune for shit and itâs funny, and when he rolls his window down he sticks his hand out to feel the frigid air, itâs the most free heâs felt in a long time.
Football and his after-school duties and everything else just drifts away with the wind, at least for this moment.
It was like when he was a kid. The route itself is mostly dark and dull, and this time without Ben, but their usual car games of âdollar every time you spot a windmillâ and âhow many minutes until the next townâ are fun and easily pass the time. This will be another memory that he will gloss over with fondness, how even the boring roads will seem like rapture.
When the sky starts to turn from black to grey they stop for early breakfast at a diner just slightly off their trail in Windsor, both of them famished despite the hoard of snacks and in dire need of coffee.
The car is beginning to emit pale plumes of smoke from under the hood as they arrive at Davis Grove, Otisco Lake in the early morning. The sun rises low over the horizon, a slow ascent that turns the sky grey and brushes wriggling streaks of color over the lake.
The house is exactly as Peter remembers it.
Panels painted slate blue, brown-tiled roof. Two-storeys with a wrap-around porch and a private dock only a short distance away from the entrance. A swinging chair on the lawn that comfortably fits three and a half people.
It looks exactly as it did when Peter first came here as a kid, plucked straight out of his memories in perfect form, like it was set in a liminal space that time refused to touch. A piece comes back to his being at this moment, something that he didnât know was missing.
Aunt Margaret is already standing at the door when the pull up. She doesnât look a day older than when Peter last saw her years ago.
âOh, look at you,â she coos, wrapping Peter up in a tight hug, curls brushing his cheek, âmy darling little Petey-pie.â
âHey, Aunt Margaret,â he returns the hug.
âYouâre so tall now, let me look at you,â she holds him at arm's length, warm eyes roving over his form. âOh my goodness, havenât you grown a handsome young man? Last time we met you only came up to my shoulders and had braces.â She turns her attention to May. âIsnât he handsome?â
His aunt nods, smiling at them, both women gravitating into a tight embrace. âItâs good to see you, Peggy. Thanks for having us.â
âOur pleasure. You look even more beautiful than the last time.â
âOh, stop,â May releases her, wiping at her eyes. âLook whoâs talking.â
She tilts her head to the porch and takes Mayâs duffle from where she has dropped it to the ground. âCome on you two, inside. Weâve got the fire going and scrambled eggs on the table.â
Inside it smells like the best parts of his childhood. A burning fire and butterscotch and lingering musky-but-floral scent from the bowl of potpourri high on the mantel. Even the sounds are the same, the same coo of early birds in the burgeoning daylight, someone humming by the stove.
Margaret leads them into the living room, where her husband meets them halfway from the kitchen, oven mitts still on his hands when he spreads his arms wide to welcome them.
âMy goodness,â he beams, âlook what the cat dragged in.â
He wears a cravat at the same time he wears an apron, looking every bit the formal yet whimsical man Peter remembers him to be and a crushing wave of nostalgia comes over him so suddenly he canât help but rush forward and embrace him.
âWelcome, Peter. Itâs so good to have you here.â
âThanks for having us, Uncle Ed.â
âWhat have you taught him,â he points his query to May as he releases Peter to hug her. âYou know you can call me Jarvis.â
---
Margaret âPeggyâ Carter and Edwin Jarvis had been young twenty-somethings when they first met. Both were born in England before moving to the US, but it wasnât until they met at Margaretâs first college that their paths crossed. They worked in different departments, Peter thinks Ed was an engineer or something and Margaret an analyst, but the universe pulled them together eventually.
Margaret asked Ed out first and then a year later, May was the maid-of-honor at their wedding and Ben was reportedly a teary guest in the squeaky church pews.
And the rest, as they say, was history.
A photo of that day sits framed upon the mantle. May and Margaret have their arms around each other, Uncle Ben and Ed standing awkwardly at the sides of the frame, holding up flutes of champagne.
They look so young. Happy.
Peter observes the photo, smiling. He would have been a baby back then. Before his parents and Ben had -- well.
His mind does these weird calculations sometimes. Like, the May in this photo is only nine or so years older than how old he is now, and this moment, suspended in time, makes them closer than they have ever been, even though in real life they are over twenty years apart.
Looking at this picture, it makes him wonder how many people he knows now will live full lives and die of old age. How many people his age will stay forever young, and who will be in the future looking back at their time now, wistfully staring at pictures of those who only exist suspended in that time.
Itâs funny, being a teenager. His peers are too young to die so they assume they won't. Even in their twenties and thirties or forties, death seems like an elusive thing that doesnât apply to anybody until it does. Itâs for the decrepit, the sick.
But in Peterâs case death comes like poorly aimed darts, always landing badly and scoring low. In his pockets, his hands turn in fists. He hopes the three people left alive in this picture get to grow old.
He smells her perfume before he sees her. Margaret approaches, bumping their hips together.
âThis was a nice day,â she says softly, wistful. âI wish weâd kept more contact over these last few years.â
âMe too,â he smiles sadly, her expression reflecting his. With a hand on his back she leads him to the couch.
âCome on, munchkin, come sit. Tell me how you have been.â
---
âWe werenât planning on the big dinner,â Uncle Ed says as he finishes peeling a potato, handing it to Peter once heâs done. âBut weâre so glad you two joined us. Neither of us have a lot of family here, you know.â
âUs neither,â Peter runs the peeled potato under running water to rid it of dirty residue before chopping it into quarters. âItâs really nice to see you again, itâs been way too long.â
âYou really have grown into such a nice young man,â the man smiles. âBen would be proud. Your parentâs, too.â
âThank you.â
They havenât got together like this since Ben died a couple years back. It wasnât really anyoneâs fault. Shit happened and it got harder to try. May got busier with looking after Peter full time and working more - and Uncle Ed quit his job and opened up a garage and Margaret lost a baby - all at the same time.
It was a lot for everyone. Even college best friends moved apart when fate put up walls at every turn.
It seems everyone in his circle is just does their best to survive. Or maybe thatâs just what growing up is.
The remainder of their morning is spent eyeing the oven and skedaddling while Margaret prepares her pecan pie, ejecting them out of the kitchen with a forceful shoo.
âMay says youâre playing football,â Ed says, leading him out to the lounge, passing him a can of soda. âHowâd that happen? Last I checked you were doing splits over a pommel horse.â
Peter shrugs, tapping his can with his fingernails, idly paying attention to the football on the old TV. âNeeded an extra-curricular, there was an opening and for some reason they accepted me.â
âYou were so good at gymnastics,â Margaret comments from the kitchen, whisking away at her bowl. âIâm sure youâre exemplary in anything you do. Theyâre lucky to have you.â
âYeah,â Peter says, sculling back the rest of his drink, bubbles burning down his throat. âLooks good on college applications in any case.â
âThis kid,â May points to him with her beer bottle. âHe does it all, I donât even know how. Heâs brilliant.â
I could do more, he thinks. He wonders again in that moment what it is that makes him so deficient that May couldnât rely on him to accept the truth about their situation, that maybe he was just too naive. But heâs not. Heâd drop his after-school activities and get a job in a hot second if he thought it would help. And for just a split-second heâs mad about that, about being kept in the dark.
But then he sees the strain around her eyes, how the bottle in her hands trembles ever so slightly, how much she makes the hard world soft around them. And itâs easy for him to let that feeling go.
âYouâre still freelancing?â Peter asks Margaret, momentarily distracted when Edâs phone lights up with a call.
âExcuse me, terribly sorry,â he says suddenly, picking up the phone and answering it, rising to his feet to converse in the adjacent room.
âYes,â Margaret says, eyes lingering over where her husband has gone, his voice carrying over the walls in worried, muffled tones. âWell, consulting. I can work from home, which makes it easier to take care of all my non-existent children,â she gestures to the empty room around them.
âYou could go work with Jarvis,â May retrieves a new bottle, popping the cap. âLook after the books, help him replace tyres.â
âTempting,â Margaret says dully, rolling her eyes. âCanât understand why I havenât done that yet.â
Jarvis re-enters minutes later, hands held out apologetically; whispering to Margaret first before he addresses the room.
âUm, we have another guest coming up for dinner, if thatâs alright,â he winces at their blank faces. âHe works for me. Has a difficult family arrangement and needs a bit of respite. You know how it gets over the holidays.â
Peter meets Mayâs eyes and shrugs. Anyone working under the business and is vouched for by his surrogate uncle is good by him.
âThe more the merrier,â May raises her bottle.
After that, the kitchen needs his hands again.
---
The afternoon is spent preparing the sides, checking in on the truly gargantuan turkey and indulging their cat with nibbles and head scratches. May and Margaret spend the time drinking beer and cider, reminiscing their college years. Itâs nice to hear the house full of laughter, given how somber the mood was when they were last all together.
âWhen did you get a cat?â Peter directs his question to Jarvis, accepting a peeler from him to attack the carrots.
The cat in question is completely black and delightfully plump, not overly so, but enough to indicate itâs decently fed but probably also a little lazy. Or maybe he just thinks that now that it lies tall on the peak on its scratching post, tail flicking idly while it watches them work tirelessly in the kitchen from above.
âOh, about a year ago. Gives Peggy some company while I'm in the garage. Sheâs a sweetheart, this one.â
âWhatâs her name?â
âFriday the Thirteenth. Friday for short.â
âThatâs, um, unique.â
âWas the day we adopted her,â Jarvis reaches up to scratch her. âAnd sheâs a black cat, so, you know; spooky.â
Peter tilts his head to the side, considering it. âI like it.â
âNot bad, huh.â
âYep. Itâs a better name than Molly,â he mutters, shaking a slimy carrot shaving off his fingers.
Jarvis pauses. âAs in Ringwald?â
Peter sighs and continues peeling.
----
âDid I ever tell you about the time May came to class in a bathing suit?â
âI donât think they need to hear that --â
âSo we have this exam,â Peggy says, ignoring May, âSuper important. Fifty percent of our overall grade. She comes in late, dripping wet, the biggest hickey on her neck I have ever seen --â
âPeggy.â
â-- Only thing saving her modesty was Benâs shirt over her shoulders. I had to lend her a pen so she could sit the exam.â
âDid you pass though,â Peter asks curiously, shovelling a large lump of mashed potato into his mouth.
âTop grades,â she winks at him.
âShe sat there for two hours, dripping water onto the ground and got flying colors. Meanwhile Iâm the idiot who studied for weeks and got marked down twenty points for --â
The end of her sentence gets cut off by the sound of a car approaching the property, headlights flashing through the windows.
Then, a knock at the door.
âAh, that must beâŠâ Ed trails off, wiping his hand on a napkin before standing. âExcuse me.â
He goes to answer the front door, Margaret continues her story albeit much more quietly until the voices of Ed and their guest filter through, becoming progressively louder.
âSorry to intrude, I know itâs the holidays --â
Wait. That voice is familiar.
âNonsense,â Ed interrupts, âyou know youâre welcome anytime. Youâre practically family, kid. Come in, weâre eating now, youâre just in time.â
Peterâs fork clangs loudly on his plate when he sees their visitor, unable to keep his grip on the utensil as his limbs start to tingle. He forgets how to breathe for a second, entire body going hot.
Edâs arm is around Tony Stark and theyâre approaching through the living room, heading right for them. Thereâs a fresh cut on his lip and an ugly, wreath of bruising around his jaw and neck, deeply purple, speckled spots of burst capillaries visible from even where heâs sitting.
The worst part isnât the intrusion. Itâs how Tony looks unlike himself; he looks small and skittish, gaze flicking nervously around the room, arms curled around his waist. Something in his chest starts to feel the closer he gets, weird, hot and unwieldy, burning, like a hot poker has been drawn across his sternum.
âYouâre the best, Jar...vis,â Tony trails off when he spots the Parkers, eyes zeroing in on Peter.
âUm,â Peter says, sharing a surprised look with May, not knowing what else to say.
But then suddenly Tony is shaking his head, shrugging out of Edâs embrace and backing up, the skittish look gone and replaced with anger.
âYouâve got to be kidding me. No fucking way.â
Then he turns, and leaves.

Girl Of Your Dreams
Pairing: Ten x Succubus! Ayn
Genre: Yandere! AU, Succubus! AU, College! AU
Warning: SOME YANDERE TYPE CONTENT. Smut, swearing
Word Count: 3.2k
A/N: i hope you enjoy! Big thanks again to @tacojisung for the plot
Ten leans over the railing as he looks out into the crowd of college kids dancing the night away. The smell of sweat and vodka fills the house as the music pumps, the bass shaking the windows. He wasn't even the biggest fan of college parties but there was something about this specific party that he just felt like he needed to come to it. There was a reason he was supposed to be there, but here he was, 3 hours in and no sign of what that reason was.Â
He sighs as he heads towards the staircase, finally deciding he was going to call it a night. He was over it, and not overly in the mood to party, thankfully this party was not one his frat hosted. He looks out into the crowd as he goes down the railing and that's when he sees her on the dance floor. The girl he's been dreaming about, the girl who's been making him have to change his sheets so often in the week from all the cum stains. Excitedly he turns around, yelling to his friend, Johnny who was behind him.Â
"It's her!" He yells, pointing out to the crowd.Â
"Who?" Johnny asks.Â
"The girl from my dreams! I fucking knew she was real." He laughs, pointing at you again, still looking at Johnny. He turns his head looking back into the crowd to where you were. Your eyes lock with his and a smirk spreads across your lips. You wink at him before you began to maneuver through the crowd. Ten quickly rushes down the stairs, trying to chase you outside but the second he gets outside you're nowhere to be found. He grabs his head in frustration, looking for you one more time before going back inside.Â
He knew it. He knew the girl of his dreams was real.Â
He had been dreaming about you for so long, he was honestly beginning to believe that the two of you were together, you must want him considering you come to him every night. You seem to love his hands, his tongue and his cock in the dreams, so why wouldn't you in real life? You were the one for him and he was going to make sure you knew it.Â
**
The next day, Ten was sitting in his psychology class, his mind on you as it always was. He pictured your body, your face, your lips, your smile, the way you touched him. He barely heard what his professor had said until the subject of dreams came up.Â
"When you see someone in your dream that you don't recognize, it's because you've seen that person at some point in your life. It may not have been a very significant point but it was enough for your subconscious to remember them. We'll pick up more on this and more next week, class dismissed."Â
After his class, Ten was walking through campus, lugging his backpack and headed back to the frat house for a much-needed nap, and a possible visit from his mystery dream girl. He began to think about his professor's words about dreams and dreaming about a stranger. It made him wonder where he first saw you? What was he doing? Why couldn't he remember? It frustrated him that he didn't have an answer to any of these questions. He just wanted to know you and be with you, why was that so much to ask for? Â
Ten walks into the house and spots Mark sitting on the couch, focused on his game as he closes the door behind him.
"Hey man, you wanna game?" Mark asks, sitting on the couch while playing Xbox.Â
Ten waved him off as he climbed the stairs, making his way to his bedroom. He slings his backpack on the floor, kicking off his shoes and hopping straight into his bed. He stretches out, getting into his comfiest position with his eyes closed, letting himself slowly drift off to sleep.Â
"My baby." You sing as you crawl into Ten's bed. You hover yourself over him, sitting down on his crotch, waiting for him to wake up. Slowly you rock back or forth, grinding yourself on his cock which now is beginning to get harder.Â
"Mmh." He groans, bucking his hips. With his eyes still closed his hands find their way to your hips, gripping tightly as he helps you rock back and forth. "You came back." He whispers.Â
"Of course I did." You purr, leaning forward to place a small kiss on his lips before sitting up again.Â
"Please." He groans, feeling the heat radiating from your pussy, he needed more.Â
You smirk as you move off of him, helping him slide his pants down, letting his cock spring free. You position yourself over him, sliding down onto his cock, making him moan.Â
"You need to be a good boy." You whine as you pick up your pace, riding him. "Don't look for me."Â
Ten closes his eyes, his hands back on your hips as he tries to control his orgasm. "Got it?" You groan, bouncing on his cock.Â
"Y-yes.. got it.." he stutters as he cums inside you, grunting as he fills you up.Â
In an instant, you're gone and he wakes up to a load of cum dripping down onto his sheets, again, forgetting what he had agreed to.Â
**Â
That night he was dragged out to a club that was known for the dancers who made appearances. You could almost always guarantee there would be at least one insane show of dancing, and Ten loved to go and watch, sometimes participate but tonight... Tonight he had a feeling that he needed to watch the dance floor and watch who was going to be on it. He felt drawn to it, and he already knew it was you who was doing it. Clearly, you were going to be there and you wanted him there. You must be playing hard to get.Â
"Wow," Mark exclaims, walking along on the balcony, looking down to the dance floor. "There's a lot of awesome dancers down there." He laughs, stopping with Taeyong to look at one couple in particular. Ten stops as well, his eyes narrowing in on the couple. He can see the male fairly clearly, Oh Sehun from the EXO frat, a well-known rival of NCT but he couldn't see the front of the girl, only how her hips swayed along with hair, she moved so effortlessly, he felt as though he was almost entranced by her. He watched as they moved along the floor, his feet immediately following and making their way to the stairs. His eyes never leaving them, he can feel the heart begin to race as he steps onto the floor, moving through the crowd of people, his anger level rising as Sehun finally spins her around, and it's you. He knew he was drawn to you for a reason, you're supposed to be his but here you are with another man.Â
Ten continues to make his way towards you, now with just a little more urgency as he prepares to get Sehun's dirty hands off your body.Â
"Hey." Ten yells, moving through the bodies, getting closer to you. He can see the smile fade from your face as you notice him coming closer. Sehun looks up as Ten stands in front of the two of you, breathing heavily. "What are you doing with him?" He asks, confused on why you're with someone else when you so clearly were meant for him.Â
"Just back off," Sehun says, pulling you away from Ten. He walks away, taking a breath and thinking of a game plan, how can he get you alone?Â
He wanders through the crowd, his head spinning as he searches for you again, he just wants to see you up close, talk to you and try to clear some things up, he just needed you to give him a chance. He pushes his way through the crowd, getting to a clearing near the bar and that's when he sees you and Sehun. You let go of Sehun's hand, mouthing you'll be right back as you head towards the bathrooms. A smile spreads across his lips as he makes his way to the bathrooms. It's perfect, you're alone and you can hear him out. That's all he needed. As he makes his way over there he watches Sehun turn away, talking to a group and not paying attention any longer, this honestly couldn't get more perfect. He waits for a few feet down from the girl's bathroom, the hall light flickering as his foot tips, god you're taking a long time.Â
Finally, the door opens and out you walk, your head is down so you don't notice Ten leaning against the wall until he steps out in front of you. You look up, looking him in the eyes, making him smile. You try to walk past but his hands grip your shoulders, gently pushing you against the wall.Â
"I'll scream." You threaten, making Ten scoffs.Â
"I'll cover your mouth." He growls. "I just wanna talk to you." He pleads. "Why are you pretending not to know me?" He asks, frustrated.
"You need to stop this. Remember what I told you.." you smirk.Â
"Ayn!" You both hear. Turning your head you see an angry Sehun marching your way.Â
"I'll see you." You whisper before ducking away from him and running towards the hot-headed Sehun to calm him down. Ten stands there watching as you caress his face in hopes of calming him down.Â
"Let's just go." You urge Sehun, pulling the puffed out and protective man away. Ten stands there, he's shocked that you dismissed him so easily. He watched as you dragged Sehun from the club, a man who was looking back at Ten, clearly threatened by the fact he was going to lose you.Â
Ten walks back towards the stairs, running into an overly happy looking Mark before he hits the staircase.Â
"There you are!" Mark exclaims, grabbing Ten. "Look we got a VIP booth with some fine hunnies." Mark laughs. Ten looks to the exit doors and sees you leaving and he just can't help the urge but to follow you, despite your oaf of a boyfriend.Â
"I gotta go.. sorry." Ten says, glancing at Mark before taking off to the doors. Luckily you and Sehun aren't too far ahead that he lost you. As he walks behind you both, he puts his hood up, not wanting to be noticed by anyone but especially not you.Â
He follows you for a few blocks until you enter an apartment building that unfortunately needed a code but he would find it out in time. At Least now he knew where you lived, so he headed back to the frat to grab his car and have a little stake out of his own.
A few hours later, his eyes get heavy in the front seat of his jeep. He crosses his arms and leans his head back to rest, just for a moment but instead falls asleep.
It didn't take long for you to enter his dream, unzipping his pants, pulling out his cock and straddling his lap in the front seat of his car. He was hard and inside you, the warmth of your pussy surrounding his cock.Â
âIt feels so good.â He groans, placing his hands on your hips. You lift yourself slowly before slamming back down on him, making him cry out in pleasure. Â
âYou like my pussy, donât you baby?â You ask.Â
âYes, fuck yes.â He moans, his toes curling as you squeeze yourself on him again "Fuck you always make me feel so good." He groans, his arms surrounding you, pulling you in close, his eyes still closed.Â
"It's because you're special to me." You whisper in his ear, lifting yourself before slowly pushing yourself back on his cock.Â
"Oh my god." He groans. "I love you. I love you so much." He groans, bucking his hips. All he wanted was to be as deep inside you as he could be. Fuck you felt amazing.Â
"You need to stop following me." You warn, riding him, your fingers running through his hair. "Leave me alone before I move on to someone else." You whisper, holding him close as your clit is rubbed perfectly. "I will." You pause, your orgasm flowing through your body. "Move on and leave you." You cry out, your fingers pulling his hair as you ride through your high.Â
"You can't". He grunts, and again, as he cums. You continue rocking yourself on him, milking him for everything he has, not wanting to waste one last drop. "Fuck." He groans. "Please don't leave me." He finishes.Â
"By the way, this isn't my house." You whisper and before he can reply, you're already gone.Â
Ten is woken up by a knock at his window, his eyes barely opening until he notices a police officer standing there, looking concerned.Â
"Hello, officer." Ten greets him, rolling down his window.Â
"You've been parked here for an awfully long time, we've gotten some complaints of a creep in your car description. You okay?" He asks.Â
"I'm fine, just got a little tired." Ten laughs.Â
"Get home and get yourself cleaned up." The officer says, looking at his pants before back at him and walking away. Ten looks down and notices the stain from his dream, spread across his pants.Â
He quickly starts his car, driving away from the apartment that is not yours but must belong to Sehun.Â
**Â
Over the next week, Ten surely had thought he was going crazy. He saw you everywhere. In the coffee shop walking to the bathroom, on the crowded sidewalk as he strolled down the street, across campus, walking in front of him but he only ever saw the back of you. You were taunting him, you must be. You hadn't visited his dreams in a week, you were appearing everywhere he went, this was you teasing him and playing hard to get but he was going to get you and make sure you could never leave him again. He knew you were ignoring him since he hadn't listened to your warnings, and frankly, he was tired of it. Â
**Â
The next day he headed to his psychology class, and this one he was excited about it. They were learning about Lucid Dreaming when you know you're dreaming and you can control your dream. This was a very important part of his plan of how he was going to get you and he needed to get you, his one true love.Â
"Lucid Dreams." Ten's professor announces. "The dreams where you know you're dreaming and you're able to in some ways, control those dreams and what happens in them."Â
Ten's interest peaks as he listens to his professor speak. This is it, this is how his plan starts, now he just needs a way to trap you, from his dream and into his world.Â
"Along with lucid dreams, there's sleep paralysis, which is said to bring a fear of yours to live in your dreams. Your fear paralyzes you, making you face it head-on." He pauses. "Wet dreams." He stops for a second as the class laughs. "Yes, yes hilarious. Wet dreams are said to be ruled by the evil, seductive temptress, the succubus. Does anyone know what a succubus is?" He asks.Â
No one chimes in. Ten is sure he knows but chooses to keep quiet, waiting for his professor to explain.Â
"A succubus comes into your dreams and pleases you, you are her main source of energy, and for women, it's the incubus that comes into their dreams. Now.." he pauses, seeing a hand raised. "Yes?"Â
"Would there be a way to trap a succubus?" Someone asks, piquing Ten's interest even more.Â
"Ah, yes. There are stories of men trying to trap the succubus and rumours of their success. They draw an arcane circle under their bed and hide it, but also lucid dreams come into play here too. You need to be able to hold on and wake yourself up." The professor says. "Anyways, it's supposedly a myth. Now we are moving on to the incubus.."Â
Ten packs up his belongings, leaving class early, he has too much to do and it cannot wait.Â
**Â
Arriving home, he storms through the door, ignoring the men sitting in the living room and heading straight up to his room. After he left campus he had stopped at a special store and gathered the rare ingredients he needed for his plan.Â
Ten moves his bed to the side of his room, clearing out all the shit from under it before he begins unpacking his backpack. He opens the special salt and starts making the circle, looking at the picture he has for reference.Â
Thirty minutes later Ten is carefully moving his bed back over the circle, his stomach doing flips of excitement. It was finally here, the day he was going to get you to be with him. He knew you would never come with him willingly so this was how it was going to need to be.
He crawls on his bed, remembering his password to wake himself up out of his lucid dream. He hoped this worked, he needed this to work, he needed you to be with him. Closing his eyes he relaxes his body allowing himself to almost fully fall asleep.Â
He opens his eyes, sitting up in his bed. It's quiet, almost too quiet. Dreams.. he's dreaming.Â
"Please." He calls out, hoping you were listening.Â
"What?" You ask, walking through the door.Â
"Come to me. Please." He says, holding out his hand. You let out a sigh as you walk towards him, sliding your hand in his.Â
Ten pulls you onto the bed, laying back down as you straddle him.Â
"I've missed you." He whispers, bucking his hips. "Fuck I've missed you." He groans, pulling you down, reaching his lips for yours.Â
You don't say anything, instead kiss him back. Your hands run through his hair as his arms wrap around your waist.Â
Your lips still attached, he sits up, effortlessly flipping you both over to you laying on your back. "I wanna try something." He whispers, grabbing a pair of handcuffs. He takes your left wrist and handcuffs you to his headboard.Â
"Baby." You laugh nervously. "What's happening?"Â
"What's happening is you've ignored me for a week! A week! And teased me like I'm just some replaceable nothing to you. But I'm not. I'm the one you're meant to be with, don't you see!?" He yells.Â
You try to free yourself from the handcuff but you can't.Â
"Ten.. please. Just let me go." You beg.Â
"Now I'm going to take you with me, and we can be together forever." He smiles, his eyes are wide and terrifying.Â
"No... you can't... Ten." You cry.Â
"Forever." He yells.Â
Ten wakes up on his floor, breathing heavily. He looks around his room, he's back. He looks to his bed and smiles. There you are, crying and handcuffed to his bed. He crawls up to you, taking you in his arms.Â
"Welcome home."Â
