y’know generally i try to limit colour palettes to as few colours as possible to make things more cohesive but despite my best efforts only jay ended up being able to stick to that </3

ANYWAYS here’s the as-of-right-now fully updated designs for these dickheads. these will no doubt undergo even more tweaking as i draw them more but this is a start i guess. also pls open the pictures to look at them properly i worked so hard LOL

he jingles when he walks. somehow he’s still stealthy. i do not know how

kept the platinum ring that bonded him to gillion in the block! because hey he doesn’t really have a reason to take it off (and it’s a nice reminder of how much gill cares about him, and how far their friendship has come since that ice arena)

his tattoos shift and flicker like actual flames, and sometimes (harmless, purely aesthetic) sparks fly off them when he’s excited

i just think smoke coming out of his mouth when he’s angry would be cool :]

chipped teeth from biting rocks and coins all the time :/

he has scars from the red lightning, they’re just mostly contained to his back and shoulders. they’re a similar red to his coat even once they’ve healed

the tail sleeve thing is so he can rest it on the ground without damaging his scales, he doesn’t usually wear it when he’s just on the ship because the wood is soft enough that it’s usually fine + it can hinder swimming a bit. it’s mostly meant for places where there’s cobblestone or gravel streets and such. i think his armour would probably have a version that looks similar but covers the whole tail minus the fins, maybe with some armour plating of its own. i didn’t draw it because there wasn’t any room lol

his scars from the lightning are pink mostly because red stood out too much tbh. they softly glow in the dark the same as his coral and the pink parts of his fins

also kept his ring! his hands aren’t really made for jewellery, though, because the webbing means it won’t sit very secure on his finger. so he keeps it on the same chain as the necklace he got from aslana to keep it safe

tried to make him look a bit bulkier and more his age than in my original design? i feel like i was leaning too much into the naivety and. shortness. originally lol. he also has thicker eyebrows now and i’m still trying to decide how i feel about them but i think? i like it? i don’t tend to give many character thin eyebrows so it could’ve been a unique thing for him but alas

i think i made the sword too small but like ignore that

also forgor to include pretzel </3 that’s okay though she can get her own design sheet later. she’s special like that

blue magic! i was considering gold but that’d look a bit more like a canary than i wanted for her wings so. blue jay :]

her hair is supposed to look kinda like fire to mimic her dad ! kinda showing that even if she runs from her family and the navy they’ll always be a part of her. and also i just like drawing messy hair

i gave her sturdier gloves just because i feel like it fits her better. also changed up the shirt to more of a button up solely because i don’t like tank tops very much LOL

i did WANT to make her outfit a bit flashier to match the boys better but i couldn’t quite figure out where to Put the flash. maybe that’ll come later, the way the story’s going i might get to design some cool prosthetics for her or something

because there’s just so many fucking colours i triiied to add at least one or two colours from each of them into the others designs. jay has her necklace with each of their main colours on it, her wings are the same blue as gillions eyes, her jacket and right eye are the same dark blue as destiny’s blade, her hair is the same orange as the lighter part of chips tattoos. chip has a dark green sash under all the belts, the same as the hilt of destiny’s blade. they all use the same shades of black, gold, and brown

the only real exception is gillion doesn’t have anything from the other two because he has Such a specific colour palette and he already had so much going on as-is orz jay was obviously the easiest to do this with because she has both warm and cool colours in her palette by default lol (and i did her design last, so that helps)

MONTHLY MFIP UPDATE✨✨

Hey folks 🦐 I finally got the chance to make this month’s MFIP Update cuz god damn life was kicking my ass. College is fine for the most part tbh, just a lot of reading and writing cuz of the specific classes I chose. HOWEVER I have 💥FUCKING PMDD💥 so um skill issue on my part but it’s why I’ve been kinda exhausted as shit this week and was late with the update so my bad folks! (Also for more info on PMDD, click here! I don’t wanna spend this post yapping about it but wanted to leave a resource to spread awareness just in case :3). Also, Imma be tagging some of y'all who have been reading/supporting MFIP consistently just for this post, so yk you guys actually know these updates exist. I was gonna do that for the first ever update but as with many things, I forgor, so I'm doing it now! They’re supposed to come out on the 18th of every month, but yk sometimes life happens and I’m a lil late. It won’t be any earlier than the 18th tho so look out for these once it hits that date! Anywho, cheers to this month’s update!

Alrighty folks we be starting with the Art~!

Alrighty so obvious new thing, WE GOT RAPH’S REF SHEEEEEEEET TEEHEEEEEEE

BRO IM SO HYPE ABOUT IT! It turned out so genuinely amazing and I’m ridiculously proud of it! Especially cuz I honestly thought Raph was gonna be a harder design to figure out yk? I’m not used to drawing his body type, I wasn’t as familiar with his outfit, and even tho I’ve sketched him a few times before, I was just a bit nervous with Raph. Funfact, he’s also been the hardest to figure out how to write back when I was first starting MFIP. I genuinely don’t know why, but I got there eventually (I actually really love writing him now—) and same thing happened with his design!

Since MFIP’s taking place a few months after the Krang invasion, i’m able to take creative liberties and update the boys’ designs more! For some clarification btw, in my story’s lore, the invasion took place in September 2020, and MFIP starts on March 2021. Anywhizzle, my ideas for the boys’ designs is to combine their movie look with their show look, cuz while I do LOVE the black on them, it doesn’t feel right to me to not make them still unique in their own ways. These guys are all about authenticity, so why make their gear exactly the same, ya get me? I basically recolored his show gear to be black and red (and added a lil asymmetry on his legs) cuz I think it makes Raph feel older and more sure about himself, just feels right for him! I also just think the red fade on the black is hella cool! Fun lil color theory i think application, the black is more of a really dark, inky blue, so it makes the red pop out even more! I decided to make a bow out of his mask tails, too! I don’t wanna spoil the entire lore reasoning for it yet (it’ll pop up in the story), but I can indeed say it’s intentional that it looks a little like a lunamoth with damaged tails :3 I also took a BUNCH of creative liberties with his sais’ handles, since we haven’t really seen it much so like idk gaslight yourselves into thinking it’s always been this epic✨✨

Also I gave him his shorts back because FUCK YOU I LIKED THE RED TRIMMMM—

OH I ALMOST FORGOT yes he has longer eyelashes! I saw he grows to have really pretty eyelashes in the future cuz of his turtle species, and I wanted to lean into that by showing they’re starting to grow now :3

Bullshit Gag Because Yes‼️‼️

There ain’t shit to say about this, I just pulled a silly. I saw the fact Donnie was supposed to have a “Doctor Donatello” persona in the deleted episode where Dale turns into a werewolf. I’m really heavily on the train of Leo being the team medic and into medicine in general. I don’t think it makes sense for Donnie to be the medic judging by his sensory issues and this mf being as much of a germaphobe as my mom, and in my opinion it felt too stereotypical anyway to have Donnie be the medic. Ofc, to each their own, and this is just my interpretation of it, but I thought it’d be funny if Donnie still had this persona and was passionate about it, but was like horrifically bad at being a doctor. I made this dumbass sketch that I’ll finish sometime in the future (it’s gonna be a chapter in Arc 3 probably) and I just wanted to share it with yall~

THEY’RE HUMAN NOW⁉️

My ass wanted to show off cuz I’m sketching out some ideas of what my human designs for the boys culd be. I already did Leo’s like ages ago so he’s not on here but I’m realizing as I’m typing this my dumbass forgor to post it so um my bad I will do that in a few days—

But I wanted to design (or more accurately, redesign cuz I did draw em once a while back but I’m not satisfied with them) and I think I ate so far so uh yea. There isn’t any logic to sharing this, I just thought it was cool😭

As you can see, I want all the boys to look kinda etherial and like they'd turn heads, and I think I am SUCCEEDING SO HARD SO FAR CUZ DAMNNNN THEY'RE ALL PRETTY AS SHIIIIIIIT TEEHEE✨ Also am tryna make sure they actually look Blasian since that's what the canon of my story says they are. I'll talk about them more another time when I have all of them on here~

Chapter Progress Time Whoop Whoooop‼️‼️

I didn’t make much progress on anything this month due to college—again, it’s fine, but there’s a shit ton of time management going on in my part to just manage everything and make sure I’m on track—BUT I am indeed still working on chapter 10. We’re up to 20 pages now which is only two more pages written from last month, but it’s kinda cool writing Donnie and I feel like I’m getting a better understanding of him! One thing I’ve been tryna do is understand autism better as a condition cuz I do wanna acknowledge and show bro’s autism instead of just ignoring it due to a lack of understanding. Donnie ain’t Donnie without it, ya know? I don’t know everything and tbh I would say I still have A LOT to learn on the subject matter, but I’m tryna expand my knowledge every opportunity I get and experimenting with how to better show it! This is to say tho, I’M NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, NOR AN EXPERT ON THE AUTISM SPECTRUM. This is what I’m finding and comprehending via my own research, and can tbh end up being wrong so please don’t quote me as a reliable source, I’m still learning ;v;

I remember one of the things I kept hearing about was autism leading people to struggle with empathy. The best way I heard it being described was someone bringing the example of when their friend was upset. That person can’t truly feel their friend’s emotions because they’re not the one experiencing it, so can’t properly understand how it’s making their friend feel. But they can see that their friend is communicating their sadness, and they still try to comfort them and make sure their friend knows they’re there for support. I understood it as bringing logic to emotions in a sense; collecting data and figuring out how to handle the situation based on the data rather than using intuition alone.

I’ve been using that to figure out how Donnie might handle more emotionally subtle situations, where he might try to rationally work through what’s happening and kinda substitute it in place of natural empathy. Like the little tidbit I gave above! Instead of just automatically being able to get vibes that the other person is upset, I felt maybe Donnie would instead notice the fact their tone is kinda different from before; it’s basically a data point. With that data point in mind, he could connect it to past experiences where a tone change could indicate a mood change, and as a result he might conclude that Salena’s tone change means she’s upset. I comprehend it as manually working through empathy rather than it being second nature, if that makes sense. Obviously and thankfully Donnie isn’t gonna spend the entire chapter playing a guessing game or anything with Salena’s emotions, it’s just one lil moment that I thought was cool challenge to myself with when writing him! I really love putting myself in the characters’ shoes when I’m writing them or their dialogue. I highly recommend it as a tool too, since it's helped me a lot with staying in character!

Last Lil Segment Y'all

Aight so, I wanted to try doing something cool if y'all are up for it. I really love rambling about my story and lore and characters blah blah blah, but I don't really know how to do so tbh. I'm not that familiar with how social medias work cuz I just never took it seriously, and I don't wanna just keep being like HEYYYYY ASK BOX IS OPENNNNN like I'm screaming from the top of the hill either. Sooooo insteaddddd

I think it'd be fun to do Q&As here! Or at least something similar. I'll open my ask box again and feel free to send any questions you want; it can be about the story, past lore, design questions, getting to know the characters, absolutely anything! Then when I'm gonna do my update for the month, I'll compile all y'all's asks, (prolly will have to tag to make sure you guys know I answered it, or if you ask anon then uh idk look out for the monthly update) and then answer them during the monthly update as the last section! I think it'll be a cool way to make this feel more interactive, and gives me an excuse to ramble. Don't be afraid to ask potentially spoilery questions either! ROTTMNT: Moths Fly In Packs

A mess of ideas and/or headcanons about Ghosts and such, may be coming up with stuff as I’m writing it lul so expect inconsistencies and also nonsense if you decide to read all that

Okay, so when someone dies they turn into a Ghost and go to limbo (but their dead body stays in the Living World), while limbo is their permanent home Ghosts still can visit the Living World (LW from now on), but only for a limited amount of time, like a few hours or more, cuz their bodies don’t belong in the LW anymore. If they try to stay longer they just start getting transparent, become intangible and after a while disappear completely and go back to limbo. Here are Glatt’s and MD’s designs 

I don’t really have an explanation as to why Glatt kind of rots and becomes skeletal, I just think it looks cool, but in canon Glatt loses skin when directly under the sun so that may count as an explanation, also he becomes more sharp

MD’s hair got longer, he can cut them but just doesn’t feel like it, otherwise he’s pretty much the same Now when it comes to Wilbur and Ghostbur, well... they’re a bit quirky fellas. When Wilbur died... something happened, a glitch, let’s say, and that glitch caused the appearance of a second Wilbur, who we know as Ghostbur! The Death got confused, cuz now there are two of the same person?? And she just decided to let one stay in the LW and sent the other to the limbo, both are Ghosts at this point. Unfortunately Wilbur can’t physically visit the LW like MD and Glatt, cuz Ghostbur is there, but he can still communicate with the living, like he did at the end of Disc Finale! And Ghostbur is just chilling in the Living World. And then Ghostbur dies and swaps places with Wilbur, and while Wilbur becomes a living person again, Ghostbur stays a Ghost and he cannot visit LW at all, cuz Wilbur’s there, and they cannot coexist in the same world at the same time. Here are Wilbur’s and Ghostbur’s designs 

There’s also Tommy who died, and I hc that he had the same normal Ghost thing happen to him like with MD and Glatt: he died, went to limbo, didn’t visit the LW much and got revived! And when it comes to revival, I like to think that you need either the person’s Ghost or their body to revive them! So there’s that, and here’s the design

I don’t really have a solid design for him, but usually I liek drawing him w/ red bandages and one side of his face being messed up in some way  Jack, Jack Manifold, the one who said to death “fuck off“ and kept on living, the legend. cc Jack explained his characters’ death as c Jack losing all three lives, going to hell, but then just deciding to go back to the LW w/ all three lives! So, my headcanons... I like to see the whole “falling through the world down to the abyss” thing that happened during cc Jack’s stream as a thing that happens to everyone who loses their last life, they fall through the world into the limbo! Jack wasn’t going to actual hell, he just thought he did and while he was falling he was angry, and that anger and his will to live was so strong that he just... came back... Which, again, confused Death, but she decided to let him be, cuz not a lot of ppl just choose to not die, she’s impressed! Jack’s soul got back into his body, and while he is alive, he’s not really normal looking

He looks kinda like this, minus horns I forgor about Ghostboo tbh, but I don’t have any hcs for him anyway cuz he just showed up and hasn’t revealed much, for now I’ll just assume he’s the same as MD and Glatt, a normal Ghost. And i don’t have a design for him yet Now, about limbo itself! It’s kind of just a place that can be any place! Everyone has their own little personal limbo, but they can go outside of it and visit someone else or just hang out in the “main” limbo (Which, again, can look like any place) If you wanna go somewhere there are doors that will lead you to wherever you please. Miss Death is the boss of limbo, XD and Drista sometimes visit it to hang out w/ the Ghosts and/or Miss Death. Animals are also in the limbo, they mostly just walk around from place to place. Another thing about limbo is it’s colors, whenever I draw someone in the limbo the color pallette around is usually dark/bright blues with bright pinks/reds , yeah it’s mostly inspired by Wilbur’s ycgma album cover, because of it it’s the only way I see the limbo, but also the characters get a bit more saturated and bluish

Sometimes you’ll see these shadowy figures walking around, I haven’t thought much about who they are, maybe they are just the limbo creatures, always been there and always looked like that, idk (I did have an idea that these shadowy figures were Ghosts that died a very long time ago and who forgot who they were, but that’s too sad and I’m DONE with sad limbo stuff (Or am I? ‘,:])  Annnnd well that’s about it, I dunno why I made this post, I just like sharing things I guess

Big FFU Idea Dump

Yes I'm the huge dork who thinks about all the characters just living a normal life sometimes. I have lots of silly ideas all the time because they make me :] <- (silly happy) but I don't get them in one whole note form so I'm going to. + what if the villains were just human i think its funny

I REALLY HOPE THIS BECOMES ONE OF THEM POSTS YOU HAVE TO CLICK TO EXPAND I HAVE NO IDEA IF THATS AUTO OR NOT... (update: it doesnt but i got it)

With Makenshi I feel he is extremely adaptable to any situation, if he had to live a normal life on earth and not Wonderland I genuinely believe it wouldn't be too much of a problem for him, and he'd pick the most inconspicuous job he could (with maybe the help of the others or somethin) and he'd work within business.

With Kaze I know he is much more of a loner type and I like to think he finds his own place to settle down and just builds himself a hut or somethin by a river. He goes fishing and sells the fish, Makenshi just so happens to keep track of the number of fish and how much they're bought for which leads them to interact more than they used to

I know for a fact it'd take them some time to reconnect and???? reconcile?? It'd be strange to just be so friendly with someone you were fighting with for so long but then again it was all a misunderstanding. So I think they would just talk a lot about how life has been since getting an ebby deeby treatment to earth.

maybe lisa, ai, yu, that whole family invite Makenshi and Kaze over for dinners or things like. christmas IVE SEEN ONE CHRISTMAS THING WITH THEM ICR IF ITS OFFICIAL but anyway. I feel Makenshi would go to socialise but Kaze wouldn't be too up for it right away, so he'd bring back leftovers for him to enjoy until he warms up. Don't get me wrong I think Kaze is adaptable too, just distant if he can be and I can vibe with that.

I still need to read the manga properly like 3 times to solidify it in my head but I would like to hope Lisa became like. a cool aunt who can babysit the kids for their parents since they formed such a close bond within wonderland. Though one thing I think about is how Lisa? knew that the kids weren't human? being sent to find their parents n all and maybe it causes some small issues till they all talk it out and are like "yknow what even if youre from wonderland location number 2045 you look and act human so you are in our hearts".

also what the fuck happened to the comodeen. i forgor. if theyre still travelling around wonderland i think they might take little visits to Earth. and maybe theyd think it's bizarre that theyre also people but??? not human in a way. or at least our identification of being "human".

ERMMM Additional side note thing I remembered: I wanted to make up designs for like. humanified villains. i know they come back in the manga but i think itd be funny if they woke up human and normal. have fun with that you big DORKS

1. Oscha would be a toymaker and you cant convince me otherwise with his whole jester getup, I know he also played a butler role but i am totally convinced he'd sit there and carve a wooden horse with his hands for fun and then use a homemade catapult to fling it into an army of other wooden things. hes the type of guy to make those insane marble things that use like. a spoon to shoot a marble into a card that makes a bottle fall over and it pushes the marble into its goal. hes the guy that stacks all the dominos. the man who makes castles of cards and if you blow it over you will be missing the next day (/hj)

Pist would be in a similar boat where he just specialises in puzzles, probably has shelves full of puzzle books and maybe even magic tricks. little magician man. hes the type of guy to complete sudoku in the morning with a cup of coffee, or a crossword with his lunch. he probably has a few fish tanks too and cares for all types of fish.

Herba is your local florist and she is probably known to grow all kinds of different things. Maybe grows her own food too and can go onto long conversations about her most prized plant, or the ones that are the most deadly that you shouldnt go near (she laughs as if shes joking, but she isnt.) She's also very much so into her fashion and has a lot of floral patterned clothing, she's learning how to create it herself but most of her time is dedicated to finding new plants to keep in the greenhouse.

Fungus <3 would be a retired, ex-military commander and he'd have rooms dedicated to his medals and past achievements. and like me would have a good few books on mushrooms and is interested in mycology, but with his old age it's just a simple hobby now while he goes around and enjoys his time on Earth. Yes he would still smoke a pipe absolutely, he'd have a fancy collection of them too.

and i have no ideas for the earl IM SORRY i have stored these in my brain so long way before i watched the subbed version and i just hated him with a passion thanks to the dub

i think thats everything i just need to get it out my system and back to work on other things
