SELF AWARE ASEXUAL SKY MY ABSOLUTE BELOVED <3 Maybe I’m projecting, my ex boyfriend was asexual and he was the sweetest gold retriever that loved kisses (specifically slow make outs while we were in bed together) and cuddles, he especially loved it when I ran my fingers through his hair, and we broke things off in a good way and we are still like, best friends, so the thought of having such a wholesome relationship like that?? But with S k y??? Hit the jackpot in a boyfriend fr. We can cuddle in bed together, watching movies and playing games <3
Sure, maybe I would panic at the whole ‘oh shit, Link is actually sentient’ but I feel like I would panic more at the tv breaking, cause like, in this economy?? But even more than that, Link has always been a childhood crush of mine- but there’s something about the first time I played Skyward Sword that had me blushing, giggling, and kicking my feet like a schoolgirl <3 so the thought of having *Sky* in my arms?? Being able to cuddle him??? KISS HIM???? I’m demanding him to get out of the game and helping the babygirl through the tv myself so I can hold him and give him kissies <333
~🍀 anon
I think the funniest thing is (as shown by wars) there was a way for him to get out without breaking the screen but he just chose not to sfsdfsvc or didn't think of it in his desperation, nor the fact that he would end up with a LOT of cuts and glass in those cuts after the fact :( - literally pure luck he didn't get an infection maybe he got so lucky since he had you to be his four leaf clover?
but after that? being able to hold you and cuddle you AND YOU WANT IT JUST AS MUCH? He's in literal heaven, soaking it up more than a sponge could ever hope to. With a headcanon I've been bouncing around a little bit too that he's never had to breathe properly or had a heartbeat in the game, there's just even more potential for domestic stuff. Resting his head on your chest, ear to your heart focusing on the rhythmic beat that just lulls him right to sleep, wanting to memorise it or even better when his own heart (hopefully) decides to start beating that it'll be in sync with your own. and teaching him how to breath by letting him rest his head on your chest in a similar way but this time so that he can inhale and exhale at the same rate as he's playing with your hand or your hair, twirling it between his fingers hoping that each individual strand will never be forgotten by his fingertips as you can press kisses to the top of his head - it'd be the most wholesome relationship you could ever hope for [if you ignore the yan part tbh] he's like a golden retriever fr
also I'm not sure about you but I think sky would adore older disney films, the little mermaid standing out the most for me (yes, yes it is because of part of your world more than anything) but I think he'd be happy to watch and play almost anything that you suggest, I mean even his own game isn't offlimits to him. which is how you end up with a second sky in your house sdvdfsvfdsv

✎ rivals... in love?
- gojo satoru x reader
gojo is in shambles—so suguru might have a crush on you too?
genre: high school!gojo being a menace but pls spare him he just can't take losing, you see... crack, totally jealous!gojo, justice for geto, enemies to lovers, fluff
note: people have been asking for this so this is up next! i'm writing this while listening to bigbang's bang bang bang and fantastic baby so if gojo is a bit unhinged... you know why
a part of gojo's love entries
general masterlist
No way. There is just no way.
Satoru felt his eyes itch and twitch uncomfortably. Despite the opaque black tint of his sunglasses, he could still distinctly see you happily giggling.
“Geto-san, that’s so funny!”
With Suguru. His ride or die. Your massive crush.
Your crisp laughter rang in his ears, scorching his ego and igniting it in flames—that was precisely the reaction he had hoped to receive from you too!
"Aren't they just cute?" Yaga was suddenly beside him with a wistful smile, looking at you and his other student a few feet away. "What do the television say again... a perfect match? In this case, a perfect match made in jujutsu school, then."
And responding to your bubbly self, creating the very picture of perfect match made in jujutsu school indeed, Suguru was every bit as enthusiastic. “Nah, wait until you see this—”
"Perfect match my ass," Satoru grumbled outwardly, rolling his eyes, but he immediately dashed away before his teacher could bonk him in the head for cussing.
It was harmless conversation, or jokes, or whatever. Because Suguru couldn't possibly reciprocate your feelings. His type is women of gravure magazines—Satoru had deemed it as such.
…Right?
At this point, he wasn't in enough denial to say that he didn't like you, because he had made it so clear that he was, in fact, obsessed. He wasn’t shying away from the things he did, which included annoying you constantly, asking you out after school, helping you in missions, and sending you few pick up lines here and there.
And he thought he was certain he could whisk you off your feet. After all, who else could measure up to him and win?
Heh, no one.
(or basically that's just him ignoring the intrusive little voice in his mind that whispered, “Suguru!”)
“So what's with the nice act, huh?” Satoru blew his bangs in a huff as he questioned his best friend with a twinge of dissatisfaction. “Do you like her or something?”
Suguru quirked his eyebrow at him. “What?”
“Don’t play dumb. I have noticed how you two have been joined at the hip lately,” and with deliberate intention to spite his best friend, he made the sourest face as he mockingly recited, “Wait till you see this~”
Instantly realizing what he meant, Suguru burst into a loud snicker. “Come on, Satoru, really? Surely you aren't that petty. We were just chatting—”
“Not that. I know. What I'm asking now is that do you like her or not?”
It wasn't a rare sight to see Satoru with a pout and a frown, and usually he'd humor him. But this time, even Suguru could see that there was something different in the way he asked this. And should he say something that irked him then—
“Heh, so what if I am?”
That's the wrong answer.
Satoru halted abruptly, whipping his head around in sheer shock. "What the heck?"
“She’s a nice junior, kind, easy on the eyes,” Suguru shrugged, flashing him a dauntless smile. “Only a fool would let the chance pass up. Satoru, if you keep dawdling, one of these days, I just might—”
“Wha—hey!? That’s totally foul—!”
“Nah, they do say all is fair in love and war now, isn’t it?”
By a mind-boggling twist of events, apparently his best friend was also a guy after his dream girl. Satoru was irked, challenged, and he would never admit it, but a tiny part of him recoiled because Suguru clearly had an early start and a boost—you favored him first.
This was unexpected, and now he was conjuring up various scenarios of what he should do. He must act fast or else...
Little did he know that Suguru was thoroughly relishing his restlessness.
Everyone around you said that your relationship with Gojo Satoru... is intriguing to say the least. And especially ever since that one botched mission you two went, you also felt there was a shift in your dynamics.
And if by intriguing they mean him constantly blocking your way and invading your space, then yes, it definitely is.
"Okay, okay, but wait, just hear me out!"
You halted your steps and faced him with an annoyed frown. You really had no time for this. You were about to be sent on a mission. "Gojo, really, can't you just—"
"Okay, I know he's dashing, or whatever," he huffed, the last word he said with a hint of disdain. "But hear me out, and I'm sure you'll reconsider."
"Who are you talki—"
"Who else!? Suguru, of course!"
You couldn't possibly arch your eyebrow even higher, and before you could say anything, he somehow took it as his cue to keep going.
“First, he eats curses. Cursed spirits! He eats them like rice balls! Can you imagine just how foul the taste is?”
"Gojo, I don't have the time—"
"Then! Going from that, just imagine kissing him," he stressed, eyeing you intensely as your own eyes felt like popping out by the sheer suggestion. "What if you taste the cursed spirits rice ball?"
"You're unbeliev—"
"Wait! Can you even kiss him? What if his cursed spirits suddenly pop out of him? Are you willing to kiss his little friends—"
"He's your best friend!" you finally interjected, obviously and utterly in shock by his unhinged rambling. "How could you say all of that?"
"No, you're getting me wrong." Satoru's clicked his tongue. "I'm just listing facts why it's better for you not to end up with him."
You barked a dry laugh. "And? Better with you, you mean? That's awfully biased."
"Why yes of course! Self-promo is never bad," he blatantly retorted. "Let me just tell you aallll you need to know about me!"
He audibly cracked his knuckles and puffed out his chest. "You know already, I'm strong. I can protect you well. My cursed technique doesn't involve eating curses, so you don't have to worry about tasting the said curses on my lips."
How could he blurt all of this with that perpetually playful expression? A chuckle escaped you unwittingly and that only spurred him to go on.
"And I'm handsome!" he boldly claimed, pointing at his face with pride. "And obviously I don't need to say this, but I'm filthy rich—"
At that, you burst into hearty laughter, unable to hold it in any longer.
Satoru's eyes sparkled, lit as if someone had just made his day. "All in all, you know what I mean. Everything with me, all of it is going to be fantastic!"
Even you couldn't deny that all of this exchange had been so amusing. Hilariously so. "You're down bad, huh?" you tried to taunt, although it seemed like a burst of snicker. Yet, you were caught off-guard when he said:
"For you?" his little smirk made your insides suddenly all jumbled up. "Yes."
Huh? What is this? Your bravado faltered a bit as your heart did a somersault inside.
It wasn't supposed to thump this hard. You weren't supposed to feel this overwhelming urge to squeal too. And your face wasn't supposed to grow this hot...
Seeing that, Satoru celebrated his little win, a wicked smile on his glistening lips—that somehow looked rather attractive to you now. "How? Thinking twice now, are we?"
But he couldn't believe that after all this, you would still cunningly retort with, "Ha! You wish, Gojo Satoru."
His stunned face was so comical that you chuckled once again. You wanted to rebuff him more, but before you could, Haibara's voice called you from a distance. "Heeey! Let's go! Or we're gonna be late!"
"I suppose that's my cue," you lightly shrugged, and before you left him in a dust, you could've sworn you saw a flicker of brewing tantrum behind those glasses, which brought a smirk on your face. "See ya, try harder, and I might look at your way."
Satoru was at his wit's end as he saw you sauntering away. What more that he could do so that you could be his? To keep your eyes on him and him only?
And yet, little did he know, in that beginning of summer in 2006, even before you realized it yourself, you had already did.
Epilogue
In another corner of the school, eagerly spying on you were...
"Wait! Can you even kiss him? What if his cursed spirits suddenly pop out of him? Are you willing to kiss his little friends—"
"Did he just..." Suguru gaped, utterly in disbelief at what his own best friend said of him. "Did he just say that?"
Shoko let out a satisfied guffaw. "Oh, he definitely did."
"I can't believe he's tarnishing my name over a girl."
"Well, you know very well he could do way worse than that just to get what he wants," she threw him a thin smile, while exhaling a puff of smoke. "And hey, you lose. You gotta pay me."
Suguru turned to her in surprise. "Huh? Oh—oh, darn it. Shoko, can't you be less stingy?"
"Well, whose bright idea was it to pull that stunt on him and bet on whether Gojo would approach her in less than a day?"

could you perchance do a part two to the yuu getting sold to the highest bidder? like how would that characters treat them if they actually get them? sorry if this doesnt make sence!! but thank uu!! ^_^
more than happy to! <3 I'm writing this as a follow up/pt. 2 to this post but if you'd like something different don't be shy! I love getting requests
parts 1 | 2 | 3 | kalim | bad ending
summary: joining their dorms + wearing the uniforms (for some). a proper ending to this type of post: short fics characters: trey, cater, leona, rook, idia, lilia, malleus additional info: yuu is gender neutral, rook is weird, both fem and masc french words are used during rook's part but reader is still gn, I need to replay book 2 to get leona's voice down, Idia being fun to write, maybe a little ooc
If you thought it was bad before, the news that Malleus intended to marry you made everything about twenty times more chaotic. Bids were upped to insurmountable sums, rumors were spread like the plague, fights were raging through campus as the deadline to donate approached. Even Crowley was starting to feel a little antsy, despite all of the brand new amenities he had already ordered for his office.
Finally, the day came. The announcement was held in the courtyard, where just about any student who had stakes in the matter had shirked whatever after-school responsibilities they had to gather. The prefect themselves was nowhere to be found, though only few noticed their absence.
"Maybe it'll be nice," you say to your direbeast companion, the both of you tucked away in a dark corner at Ramshackle.
"It'll definitely beat living in this dump. You think they got good food in Diasomnia?" Grim murmurs.
You grimace. "Uh... sure. I can't imagine they wouldn't, right?"
Crowley clears his throat, pulling a thin, delicate envelope out of his coat pocket while the crowd eagerly watches on. He takes his sweet time opening it, much to everyone's utter dismay, and when he finally withdraws the contents the entire courtyard falls quiet enough to hear a pin drop.
"And our winner is..."
Trey and Cater's Ending
"Cater Diamond and Trey Clover!"
Everyone stops dead and turns to the back of the crowd. There's a certain sense of unity that, for a brief moment, everyone can feel in the form of a single thought: Them, of all people?
Cater, ever the people-person, can already tell what's on everyone's minds. "What can I say? I run a mean social media campaign. I had some sick infographics,"
Trey can only smile and shrug at the growing disdain coming from the other students, most of which from his own housewarden, who is s currently turning a lovely shade of crimson.
"...Right. Well, the prefect will be ready for you shortly," Crowley says, folding the envelope and setting it back in his pocket. "I trust your housewarden will help you sort out the details."
Riddle looks more like he's about to start throttling them.
"Nah, it's cool. We got this," Cater smiles, though he's only half paying attention as he posts an update to Magicam. "The prefect is in great hands. Right, guys?"
Ace and Deuce shrug. Not the best outcome, not the worst, and either way it's still their friend coming to stay with them. Riddle is gritting his teeth so hard you could practically hear them grinding from Ramshackle.
"Was anyone going to tell me you two had pitched in, as well? Or was it a surprise?"
Trey smiles, almost nervously. "Well-"
"We were only giving the dorm a better chance. It's basic statistics- more Heartslabyul names in the hat, more of a chance one of us will be drawn, y'know?" Cater beams. "No disrespect, of course."
"None whatsoever," Riddle hisses back.
---
"And you're sure he's not really mad?" you ask, trailing behind the two third years.
It had been almost an hour since you'd updated your Magicam feed and read the announcement firsthand, but the shock is still wearing off.
Cater scoffs. "Whaaaat? No, he's totally cool about it,"
"Well. Now he is, anyway," Trey murmurs back. "But he certainly won't kick you out. As long as you're in the dorm uniform, you're one of us. He's just upset we went behind his back."
"...Understandable,"
Cater holds the door open for you, letting you inside to see a precariously placed mannequin with a dorm uniform in your size already on it. You hate to admit it, but it's lovely.
"Riddle had one ready. You know, just in case," Trey says, gesturing you forward. "And don't worry, we'll all be taking it easy on you while you adjust."
You run your fingers down the durable fabric. "Hm. Thanks,"
"You should get changed, I need a post to commemorate the moment," Cater says, beaming. "And I kindaaaa want to rub it in for everyone else who lost out on the best giveaway ever."
Leona's Ending
"Leona Kingscholar! Please... be responsible. Ruggie, I hope you'll keep an eye out for the prefect,"
Ruggie rolls his eyes but doesn't say anything. Leona, who had been absent-mindedly picking his teeth before the big announcement, flashes a big smirk to the audience while swaggering to the front of it.
"Well, well. Look who's come in first place, after all. What, didn't think I'd bother to try?"
Vil grimaces, crossing his arms. "Is there a point to this?"
"Obviously. I'm showing off," he rolls his eyes. "I guess I'll be seeing the rest of you lot around my territory a lot more, then?"
He snickers and then disappears back inside the building. Ruggie can only shrug at the disgruntled crowd before tailing after him.
---
"Well, that felt nice," Leona sighs, stretching out on one of the lounge chairs. "Pity that I couldn't see the lizard's reaction, but I'm sure we'll get to that eventually."
You're sitting at the table across from him, playing cards with a very invested Ruggie. You raise an eyebrow. "Who?"
"Malleus," Ruggie mutters, shuffling his cards around in his hand.
"It's never a party without him, right? He was probably off cowering somewhere with his tail behind his legs," Leona chuckles, picking his teeth again. "But everyone else's faces just about made up for it."
"Whatever," Ruggie grumbles. "I'm all in."
Though you're not exactly invested in the game anymore. You set down your cards, much to Ruggie's dismay, and stand over Leona with your hands on your hips.
"I hope you know that I won't be one of your errand runners for you. I've done enough of that with Crowley,"
He pauses, sharp eyes scanning you over. "You certainly know how to rain on someone's parade,"
"This is not a parade. This is my sanity we're talking about,"
"Tch. And what're you gonna do? Run away?" Leona rolls his eyes. "Hide in the jungle? Maybe you can take Ruggie with you and make it a party!"
"Hey, leave me out of this," the aforementioned says, shuffling the deck.
You stand your ground, though you don't know what else to say. Eventually, Leona sighs.
"Fine. I won't make you do anything you don't want to if you're just going to whine about it,"
He pauses, and a small smirk crosses his face. "But you'll at least have to wear the uniform. I need the satisfaction of seeing the look on everyone else's faces."
You smile triumphantly, and sit back down across from Ruggie for another round while Leona watches on, pretending not to care about the game.
It could be better, but it could also be worse.
Plus, something about that smile of his let on more than just a little self-satisfaction.
This could definitely be interesting...
Rook's Ending
"...Ah. Rook Hunt!" Crowley says, folding the paper back in his pocket and leaning down to whisper to Azul in the front row. "Tell the prefect I said good luck."
At the heart of the crowd, Vil turns to Rook, hands on his hips. "Rook..."
"Ah, magnifique! How happy I am, my heart could weep for joy!" he says, completely ignoring whatever disappointed comment Vil was about to unleash. "I must run to my prize at once, there's not a moment to lose!"
Vil grimaces as Rook bounds off into the school, moving so swiftly that he cuts through the crowd of confused (and mildly concerned) students like an arrow.
As always, Rook is genuine with his words- he truly feels as if his own heart is about to leap out of his chest and race him towards Ramshackle.
What a chance, what an opportunity! Not only to be close to someone he has his own private fan club for, but to truly, finally possess beauty in physical form. He would display you on a shelf if it were feasible.
The idea so overwhelms him with joy that you barely had time to ask what was going on before you suddenly found yourself sitting beside him in the Pomefiore lounge as he smooths out the crinkles in your new uniform.
He murmurs under his breath, kneeling before you while inspecting the uniform. "Magnifique, joli, belle, quelle beauté, une rose parfaite..."
...Leaving you in a torn state of embarrassment and shyness. You look across the room to Vil for help, and he rolls his eyes.
"I coulda get used 'ta this!" Grim shouts, lounging on a nearby silk pillow with a mouthfull of pâté. Two freshman are tediously brushing his fur with the nicest set of combs you've ever seen.
"Comfortable?" You ask, only a little sarcastic.
"Uh-huh! Ya know, when I found out the winner was Rook, of all people, I was a little worried. But this is way nicer than collecting dust in Ramshackle!"
You couldn't have said it better yourself.
Rook smiles. "Tsk, tsk. I would never let anyone harm a single hair on your precious head,"
The question is directed to Grim, but he looks straight at you when he says it. "Like a delicate porcelain doll, I will handle you with the utmost care,"
You're not exactly sure what you had been envisioning- maybe he'd release you on a remote island and hunt you for sport?- but this had far exceeded any of your expectations.
Though his gaze is as unsettling as ever, and any hopes of personal space are gone out the ornate glass windows, his usual guarded demeanor had softened just the tiniest bit.
It was unnerving. But nice, in a way.
"Mon trickster, this is just the beginning for us. We have many shining days ahead, and I plan on spending every beautiful breath of them with you. Do you hunt?"
"Oh, sevens," Vil murmurs.
Unfortunately for Vil, Rook's smile is contagious and you can't help encouraging him. Just this once. "Not usually, no,"
"A merveilleuse opportunity! I will teach you all I have learned, then. Ah, this reminds me of a poem I wrote for this exact occasion!"
He may or may not be watching you sleep tonight. Hopefully you're the kind of person who can live with that.
Idia's Ending
LOL. Normies.
Look at them, crowding around like a bunch of sheep. As if anyone has a real chance. SMH.
I knew it was pointless to begin with, but getting into Crowley's banking account and seeing the bids... now I feel lame for even trying at all.
That money could've gone to some new parts. I've been itching to build another PC...
The door flies open, slamming against the wall behind it so loudly that even if Idia wasn't completely absorbed in watching the announcement on his biggest monitor, he would've jumped anyway.
He whirls around in his chair, wide-eyed and shaking like a prey animal, expecting to see some high level boss or classic horror game antag waiting for him.
Instead, it's Ortho. "Idy! You'll never believe-"
"Geez, Ortho, you nearly killed me. And I don't have any extra lives this time," Idia says, spinning back around to face his screen. "Something wrong?"
"Actually, I have some really great news! Wanna guess what it is?"
Idia grumbles, powering off his computer. "Nah, not in the mood,"
Ortho's brow furrows as he catches a fleeting glimpse of the camera feed playing over his brother's screen before it flickers to black. "You've been watching the announcement on the courtyard cam footage?"
"No! I mean- well, I was just curious," Idia says. "I watched for like two minutes. Who even cares about this thing, anyway?"
"Well-"
"I mean, it was a game over from the start. Taking on the highest level bosses at our school with my measly stats? Forget it,"
"But Idia-"
"Who even cares where the prefect ends up, anyway? I doubt they'd wanna be trapped in a basement like this for all eternity,"
"Idia!" Ortho shouts, loud enough to shake his brother from his ensuing pity party. Idia can only stare as he moves to the side, revealing a rather surprised looking you, dressed in the dorm uniform, behind him.
"Idia, you won!"
And then he dies.
That's what he thinks, anyway. Really, Idia goes into a state of complete shock and blacks out so hard that, for a moment, the blinding light shining through his eyelids feels like the light at the end of the tunnel.
"Is he okay?" you ask, tentatively watching as Ortho clicks off the small light he'd been shining in his brother's eyes.
"He's displaying symptoms of a panic attack. Don't worry, he gets them quite frequently,"
A distant groaning pulls the both of you back into the present moment and you watch Idia slowly rise.
"His heart rate has steadied to 70 BPM," Ortho says. You raise an eyebrow. "That's normal. Idia, can you hear us?"
He takes a long moment to respond.
"This isn't real. I'm sleep-deprived from my last speed run and now I'm hallucinating. There's no way,"
You look between the two brothers. This hasn't exactly gotten off to a stellar start.
"Your vitals are normal, although you're lacking Vitamin C. Might I suggest having a fruit cup while we talk?" Ortho asks. Idia shakes his head. "Yuu? Snack?"
"I could go for something,"
Ortho hovers out of the room, leaving the two of you alone. You're too nervous (or is he too nervous?) to ask to sit, so you stand over him while he practically rocks back and forth. His face is so red and hot with embarrassment you could cook an egg on it.
"Um..."
He mumbles back. "Just pretend I'm not here. IK you probably wanted one of those epic SSR students to pull you, I don't blame you for being disappointed,"
He talks so fast and quiet it's hard to make out what he's saying... but you get the gist of it.
"Hey, don't put words in my mouth. This is a hell of a lot better than it could have been,"
He seems to genuinely consider your words for a moment before you're interrupted by Ortho coming back with snacks.
Idia is back on high alert the second he's returned. "This doesn't make sense. I got into Crowley's online bank info and saw all the bids, I wasn't even close to the top five. How?"
"Oh, easy!" Ortho chirps. "I simply rewired funds from Crowley's bank account to up your offer!"
"You... took money out of his account and sent it back to him?"
"Clever," you murmur.
Idia grumbles. "I guess that's not technically stealing... fine. But why? I thought I told you not to bother!"
"My user intel indicates that the prefect is very popular amongst the student body. Their top three descriptors are helpful, kind, and friendly! I thought you two might be able to practice your social skills together... Perhaps you could show them around the dorm as a starting point?"
You turn around to look at Idia, who's sheet-white. Nonetheless... he sighs and stands, muttering a quick "Let's get this over with,"
You watch, as still as stone, as he stops in the doorway and turns to look at you from over his shoulder, his face and hair a pleasant shade of pink.
"Well? Are you coming?"
Lilia's Ending
"And our winner... is... hm. I don't even remember seeing this one in the pile," Crowley grumbles, scratching his head under his hat. "Um, Lilia Vanrouge!"
Silver is the first to look at him. "Fa-Lilia, I thought we talked about this,"
Lilia, currently hovering in the shade of one of the courtyard's signature apple trees, simply shrugs. As if it were the most normal thing in the world.
"Oh, we did. I really thought about what you said, about the prefect's freedom, and I decided that you're right! But how could I guarantee their safety from everyone else?"
Silver groans (which turns into a yawn) and Lilia puts on his best cute look as everyone else in the audience turns to him.
Crowley clears his throat. "The prefect will be ready for your-"
"Oh, no need! Thank you, though," he says, and then disappears into the building.
---
You've been distracting yourself by counting cobwebs for far too long, as evident by your headache and the taste of dust on your tongue.
You turn to look at Grim. "Should be over by now. I'm surprised I haven't heard anything yet,"
"Surprised, you say?"
No matter how many times he does that, you're never quite prepared.
You jump, nearly hitting your head against the table you'd been taking refuge under. Grim yowls, clawing into your sleeve (and just barely missing the tender flesh on your arm, thank goodness), and you both stare at the fae ahead of you.
Lilia is sitting on the table, hanging his head upside down and staring right at you. Grim mumbles.
"Don't even tell me. I'm out!"
Lilia waves him goodbye as he makes a swift exit, and then turns back to you.
"I have a secret. Wanna guess?"
You're a little curious (aren't you always when it comes to him?) but that isn't enough to overpower your rising dread.
"No,"
"Aw. Really? I'm sure you'll like it,"
"Definitely not, then,"
He slinks off the table and lies on the floor, cupping his face in his palms and kicking his legs back and forth.
It would be amusing if you weren't so sure of what he's about to say.
"Well, despite your best efforts, I'm not surprised at all. But Malleus couldn't even come here to get me himself?" you sigh.
Lilia tilts his head to the side. "Now, why would he do that?"
There's something written within the margins of his tone that makes your eyes lower at him. Something he's keeping from you.
"...Well... he did win, didn't he?"
"Oh, my. You were hoping for Malleus to win? Now I'm sure we both feel silly,"
You raise an eyebrow. "Hoping is... a strong word. But I was expecting it, yes. So he didn't win?"
"No, dear, Malleus is not the winner,"
"Then... who is?"
Lilia gives you a sweet, self-satisfied grin, his fangs glinting. "You're looking at him,"
Ah.
If there's one thing Lilia Vanrouge is good at, it's surprising you. No matter how stoic you act, no matter how clever you are, he always manages to catch you off guard.
This might take the cake, though.
"I didn't even know-"
"No. Initially, I wasn't going to. But Silver and I... we had a long talk about valuing your freedom and independence, and thus I so valiantly threw myself into the flames to save you from becoming someone's slave," he pauses to smile. "Chivalrous, yes?"
"...Charming," you mutter. "But what was that thing about-"
"Oh, yes. Don't worry, you'll be treated as any other student at Diasomnia. In fact, I'm sure we already have some uniforms in your size!"
"This is... quite the turn of events,"
"Ah, isn't it? I haven't felt this elated in... well... a long time," he grins. "Come along, now. I plan on treating you to a hearty welcome dinner!"
You can only grimace at that.
Malleus' Ending
During all of the confusion, the fighting, the rumors that shook the school, no one, again, had remembered to invite Malleus Draconia to the announcement.
Not that it mattered. Not this time.
One knock at Ramshackle's creaky door and you were suddenly in the depths of the forest around the school, admiring a crumbled stone structure.
"What was it?" you ask, turning to your walking companion.
Malleus smiles slightly. "I believe it was a wall. Fascinating, no? Since you have inhabited Ramshackle, I come here when I want to be alone,"
Ah, right. You'd almost forgotten that you'd made a home out of his ruins of preference.
Ramshackle was in a much better state than this, though. At least you had four walls and a roof over your head.
"Are you alone a lot these days?" you ask, rather absent-mindedly for such a heavy topic.
You're well aware of the answer already. No, of course not. Malleus is constantly surrounded, whether that be his friends, personal guard, mentors...
"Yes,"
Oh.
"I'm... sorry to hear that," it's all you can think to say.
Fae don't seem to know the conventions of human small talk. Or maybe that's just him. Not that you mind. "What about Silver, and Sebek, and Lilia...?"
"Fine companions," he crosses his arms. "I owe them a debt of gratitude. But being physically surrounded does not amount to closeness."
Oddly profound.
You can't help but relate, thinking back to everyone you know. Even with good intentions, they're still out there, bartering over your life.
"I'm glad you came and got me," you say, breaking the tense silence. "I was afraid you'd gone to that... announcement thing."
He raises an eyebrow. "The what?"
"...Never mind. I guess my point was that I've been feeling a little lonely lately, myself,"
Malleus is quiet for a moment, staring directly ahead at the mess of stones and moss that once made up a sturdy wall. Now crumbled, scattered across the ground.
And the, he smiles.
"Well, there is a solution to this trouble of ours. But I'd need your consent,"
What exactly is he getting at? You raise an eyebrow. "Go on,"
"I've been so preoccupied with the formalities that I haven't had the chance to ask you properly, yet. Lilia suggested I might have more success this way,"
He pauses, and then smiles. "I would like us to marry. Does this agree with you?"
You thought you might be stunned. Speechless, even. But the answer comes so naturally.
"Yes, it does,"

Mapi angst? Pls🥹
Answer: This is my first time writing angst but I hope you’ll like it 😭
What I dreaded the most
Summary: You’re Barça’s youngest player, which makes your teammates call you the “kid” of the team. The team is supposed to play a match but you’re nowhere to be seen, which causes Mapi to be anxious and worried. She later learns that there was a good reason for your absence.
TW: mention of a dislocated shoulder, car crash, hospital, brief mentions of pain and wounds
Angst with happy ending.
Word count: 2,261
Y/n Y/l/n was Barça’s youngest player, her teammates were quick to jump in on calling her the team’s “kid”, upon her first time hearing her being called that she couldn’t help but feel as if it was meant to be a subtle punch in the gut, like “kid” was something derogatory, perhaps it was a bit childish but slowly over time she started feeling warm whenever one of the girls called her that, even if it was a simple “hey kid” or maybe even “kiddo”, there were many variants, but all became a familiar and nice nickname.
Out of the entire time you’ve grown the closest to Mapi, the girl’s eccentric and often times unpredictable personality absolutely charmed you, the two of you enjoyed joking with each other, frequently talking with each other during breaks at training
Today, was the day of a match for Barça, Mapi was in the locker room, sitting down on a bench whilst talking with Ingrid and Aitana. There were only a few minutes left before they’d have to go out, yet you haven’t arrived yet, this weirded out Mapi as well as Ingrid and Aitana when they brought it up, you weren’t one to be late to anything (Mapi liked that trait of yours) so what the hell happened? Mapi couldn’t help but shift anxiously in her seat, her mind thinking of the worst outcomes; something must’ve happened to you, or perhaps someone? You were her close friend, she always had this natural worry in the back of her mind when it came to you, maybe because you were so young…She looked around the locker room, hoping that you’d finally appear somewhere and explain that something came up or something. “Did she tell you guys anything?” Mapi looked up at her teammates, concern written all over her face, “Nah, listen Mapi…you have to calm down” Ingrid assured her, patting her shoulder “You should listen to Ingrid, Maps, I mean maybe Y/n caught something? You know how it is” Aitana agreed with Ingrid, Mapi appreciated that they were trying to get her to calm down but nonetheless it didn’t help her, she sighed and lowered her head. “We can always try and call her” Aitana proposed and immediately retrieved her phone, Ingrid nodded and did the same.
And so the girls started calling Y/n’s number, but to no avail, it seemed like her phone was either turned off or hadn’t been charged, this only made Mapi‘s panic worse, other teammates tried to call her as well but no one got an answer.
“Something must’ve happened, she’d never pull something like this” Mapi frowned “I have to talk to the coach” she added and stood up from the bench she was sitting on, Aitana and Ingrid wanted to tell her to give it up since she was completely off contact, so what could the coach do? But they let her go anyway, Mapi marched to find the coach, and when she did she didn’t save any of her concerns from the coach, she needed to search for you since this was incredibly weird, but in the end all she got was a “We can’t do anything about it María, you have to focus the match is about to start, Y/n will probably come over in some time anyway”.
Mapi came back to the locker room with her head held low, Aitana and Ingrid were still on their phones trying to call you up, as well as Keira, Patricia and even Alexia…it was clear they were feeling irritated at this whole situation, some more than the others. They had to break it to Mapi that they couldn’t just keep on trying to call you for hours on end since they had a match to play, Mapi was feeling terrible at this point, but they were right, even if she wanted to she couldn’t just run out of the stadium to go looking for you right now.
She sat back down on her bench, taking a sip of water to try and do anything that could calm her down even a minimal precent, Alexia came up to Mapi, sitting down next to her on the bench, “You shouldn’t be worrying so much, I’m sure Y/n’s fine, wherever she is…” the blonde tried to comfort her teammate, Mapi looked over at her friend smiling slightly “Yeah I guess you’re right Alexia…we’ve gotta focus on the game” Mapi’s smile falterd after she said that, she could feel it’d be hard for her to concentrate on anything else other than you right now, she wished she could listen to all the things her teammates were saying to her, but they couldn’t help her at all.
There was no more asking or calling now, they had to go out and play at this moment. As Mapi stood there on the green pitch she felt as if she was doing this for the first time, like she was a stranger among her teammates, it was as if her own feet were misleading her, she could see Ingrid, Aitana, Alexia and the rest looking at her with confused looks, as she was barely managing with her defense. Mapi’s concern for you overtook all her senses, and in result as the first half neared its end, it was no shock that Mapi was taken off the field for someone else to replace her.
Weirdly shaken up and distressed she made her way back to the locker room. She sighed, she sat back down on that same bench she was sitting earlier in a much calmer state than now, Mapi held her phone in her hands, she still had a hope that as her screen light up she would see a notification from you, wherever it was a message, call or anything else. She blinked and there it was, as if what she was hoping for came true, there it was, clear in a simple black coloured font
Y/n:
It’s bad Mapi
Attached to your message was your localisation, Mapi’s eyes widened, in that moment she knew that she had to drop everything to see where in God’s name you were all this time, her levels of worry were going through multiple roofs, she grabbed her bag and sprinted out of the stadium, she had to go to that localisation at this exact moment.
The setting was only a little bit off from the city, the countless buildings were clearly seen in the distance, she neared the localisation that you sent her, it wasn’t hard to miss the absolute train wreck of what seemed to be a car crash ahead of her, Mapi pulled up, close to the scene. She got out of her car, running towards the collision, red and blue lights flashed, two cars were crashed against each other, it looked like one of them quite literally rammed into the other one, there was an ambulance, where he could see a couple of paramedics rushing here and there, and finally there was a cop car, one cop was speaking with a civilian who was leaning against the ambulance, they had some bandages on them, but it seemed like they were the less hurt party in all of this.
Even if it sounded bad taken out of context Mapi couldn’t care less about them or anything else than finding you right now, she ran up to one of the paramedics, asking all about you, if they knew anything, “There’s a woman inside the ambulance-“ the paramedic told her, Mapi didn’t even want to listen to them finishing their sentence, she hurried to look inside the ambulance. Surely there was a woman inside…but it wasn’t you. It wasn’t possible for you not to be here, where the hell were you?! Her hands were shaking, were you dead? You couldn’t be, she walked further…then she felt as if a massive rock was taken off her heart, she was you sitting on the roadside, your head in your hands, you were patched up, some bandages on your legs, but what made Mapi feel at ease was the fact that you seemed to be doing alright, she ran up to you, gripping your shoulders with her hands, you looked up at her clearly startled but your gaze softens slightly as you realized it was Mapi.
Mapi looked you up, searching for any wounds, cuts or anything of that kind, she was glad to see that you were still pretty much in tact. “Jesus Christ Y/n! I- I was so goddamn scared!” She exclaimed barely catching her breath, “What happened..please I’m begging you tell me!” Tears started rolling down your cheeks, covering the dried tracks of the small droplets from before you saw Mapi, “I’m..I’m not sure Mapi It- It was all so sudden” your voice broke as you tried to come up with anything that had sense to tell her. Mapi cradled your face in her hands, her thumbs wiping away the salty tears “Alright- Alright- listen please just tell me if everything’s alright Y/n, I was so scared…I knew something went wrong I just wasn’t…expecting all of this, please tell me you’re fine!” You sniffed, quickly nodding your head in a “yes” motion. “Dios mío…” Mapi muttered to herself
“Y/n I’m glad, seriously I’m glad, I don’t know what the hell I’d do if something was wrong..” Mapi revealed, a single tear running down her cheek, “Come here you big dummy…” she sniffed as she finally smiled, Mapi’s arms lowered slightly resting lower back on your back, she pulled you against her, wanting to hold you tight as if to ensure that some imaginary hurricane wouldn’t just come and snatch you away, she was tired from worrying the entire day.
The second she pulled you against her you suddenly felt a piercing pain go through your body like an arrow. You winced loudly in pain, Mapi’s heart started beating abnormally again, she looked at you, her eyes wide like cherry pies. “Y/n? Y/n?! What was that? What happened?” She started blabbering any word that came to mind as she tried searching for any way to do something, you started sobbing, tears falling like rain, staining your shirt that was already slightly dirty from the car crash.
The first logical step was to take you to the goddamn hospital, Mapi had to pick you up, lead you there- do anything to get you there without accidentally hurting you more. “Where does it hurt? I have to take you to my car, we HAVE to go to the hospital Y/n” Mapi asked, you managed to choke out a “My shoulder…” through tears, Mapi wrapped her arm around your waist, making sure your “safe” side could lean on her. “It’ll be alright, ok? I promise you Y/n, everything is going to be fine, you’ll be fine” with that she helped you somehow make your way to her car, Mapi supported you with each step the two of you took, finally the two of you got into her car, she wasted no time in immediately speeding off towards the closest hospital, the only thought keeping her going was getting you help. As Mapi was driving with you wincing and still crying from the pain next to her on the passengers seat she suddenly heard her phone buzzing, she guessed it must’ve been someone from Barça, the coach, Alexia maybe someone else…but there were too many things going on right now for her to be able to pick it up, she’d call later.
The white walls and typical sterile scent wasn’t comforting at all, Mapi was sitting in a chair outside of your hospital room…you had to get a scan right now, the doctors concluded that a dislocated joint could’ve been the cause of your sudden pain, then Mapi remembered she was supposed to check who was calling her earlier…she took out the sleek device from her pocket and checked missed calls, surely it was one of her teammates; Keira, Mapi pressed the contact to call her back, Keira answered quite quickly .
“Maps! What’s going on? We’re all worried over here!” She heard Keira’s voice on the other end, Mapi took a deep breath before beginning to tell her what just happened.
“Yeah…they said it’s possibly a joint, the doctor assured me that she should be fine though” Mapi said with a hint of disdain for the possibility that her friend’s state could be worse, Keira sighed. “We have to trust them Mapi…alright I don’t want to keep you up so long, we’ll talk later, yeah?” Mapi answered simply “Yeah…later” before hanging up. Just then she saw you being escorted back into the room, Mapi’s heart dropped, she hated seeing you like this, hurt and helpless, “Can I come in? That’s my friend” She asked on of the nurses, the woman nodded, and so she waited as the nurses put you back onto your bed and left the room.
“Did they tell you anything, Y/n?” Mapi immediately asked as she pulled up a stool for herself to sit on, you nooded, “Yep…” you turned your head to look at Mapi “Dislocated shoulder, I should be fine though, already got all the necessary things scheduled…I definitely feel better tho- thanks to you Mapi” you added and smiled weakly, Mapi laughed gently, she carefully tucked a stray strand of your hair behind your ear.
“I was so worried, everyone thought I was going to lose it…” she chuckled
“I’m already imagining that…” you laughed with her as well “But there’s no need to worry anymore Mapi.”

Ghoap (well, Cbf!Soap mainly) asking Afab!Reader to be their surrogate (pt 1)
CW: Talks of surrogacy/pregnancy
-----------------------------------------
The last thing you expected when you came home after work one day was your friend Johnny sitting on your couch. You two have been friends since childhood and have been inseparable, even after he joined the military. You trusted the man with your life and would let him come over whenever he felt like it, going as far as giving him an extra key to your flat in Sunderland.
At first, you thought something bad must have happened since you could see he was clearly stressed about something. You drop your bag down and go over to the couch, sitting next to him
"Johnny, what are ya doing here? Is something wrong?"
He looks up at you with those crystal blue eyes, running a hand through his mohawk.
"Nah, there's nothing wrong per say, but...there is somethin' I need to ask ya, lass. Somethin' big...."
"What is it?"
Johnny pauses, unsure of how to ask this. After a moment, a voice from behind you two speaks up. A deep, gravely voice with a Mancunian accent. The unexpected voice causes you to jump slightly and turn around. It was Johnny's husband, Simon. Johnny had told you about him numerous times but you had never gotten to meet him in person before. His brown eyes bore down at you. It was hard to tell what exactly he was thinking but from the tone of his voice and how blunt he was, it was clear he wasn't exactly happy.
"He wants to know if you'd be our surrogate."
This makes you pause. They want you to be their surrogate? The MacTavishs? Really? You understand that you and Johnny are good friends and all, but you figured they would have gone through an agency or even adopted instead. You look back at Johnny, who was giving Simon a bit of a look himself.
"Johnny, is this true?"
Johnny turns back to you and his face softens quite a bit before he looks down at the ground.
"Aye...it's true, lass. I know this is a really, really big favour to ask, but...."
Johnny looks back up at you and gently grabs your hand.
"Could ya do this for us? We'll pay ya, take care of ya. Simon's done took a step back from the military for this next part of our lives so you'll always have at least one of us around at all times."
The look of desperation in Johnny's eyes makes your heart break for him a little bit. You knew he's always wanted to be a dad one day, have a family of his own. You fold your arms over your chest and lean back into the couch a bit, thinking it over....
"If I do this for you....how would we be doing this? Do you already have an egg from a donor? Are you just needing me to carry your child for you?"
Johnny sighs
"No. We'd be hoping ya wouldn't mind doing it....the ol' fashioned way...."
"The old fashioned way...? You mean... You'd sleep with me to knock me up?"
Before Johnny could say anything else, Simon interjects.
"No. Not him. I'd be doing it..."
You look up at Simon, clearly shocked. You barely knew this man and here he was saying that he'd be the one sleeping with you. You've only heard tidbits about him from Johnny. Sure, Johnny made him out to be a good man who liked to crack jokes and was a pretty laid back guy but from this first encounter, he doesn't seem like that at all. This made you extremely hesitant to help your friend out in starting his family....
Seeing the look of worry on your face, Johnny clears his throat causing you to look back at him again.
"Don't mind him, lass. He's just a bit....protective. Simon doesn't feel comfortable at the thought of me sleeping with someone else. I hope ya can understand that? And don't worry, like I said before...ya don't need to say yes now. Ya can give your answer later on, after you've spent a bit of time with Simon and have gotten to know him better. I wouldn't want ya sleeping with someone ya barely know."
You slowly nod. You could understand that. You and Johnny have known each other for much longer and it wasn't a secret he had a crush on you in the past....so Simon most likely felt the relationship would be threatened if Johnny was the one to sleep with you, worrying that would rekindle the old feelings he had for you from your younger years. Giving a slight sigh, you smile at Johnny and slightly give his hand a squeeze before letting it go.
"Yeah, okay. I'll give it a shot for you, Johnny. I'll try to get to know Simon better before I make my full decision..."
Johnny's face lights up and he immediately leans in to hug you tightly. He pulls away after a moment with a huge grin on his face.
"Thanks, lass. I promise Simon isn't normally like this. He just....has a hard time trusting people he doesn't know. He'll warm up to ya eventually."
This earns a scoff from Simon as he turns his head away from you two. Johnny laughs and gets up from the couch, moving behind it towards Simon.
"Lighten up, love. I know ya two pretty well....I think you'll get along in no time at all..."
He looks at Simon lovingly as he brushes his hand through Simon's short, black hair before giving him a kiss on his forehead. Simon frowns a bit, some of the scars on his face becoming more prominent; especially the ones on his upper lip and cheek.
"Really, Johnny? In front of her?"
Johnny only laughs in response, nodding.
"Aye, in front of her. Now come on, we should probably let her be now..."
He didn't need to tell Simon twice. The Brit immediately started heading towards the door without another word, only stopping in the doorway to wait for Johnny. Before leaving, Johnny turns to you again.
"Again, thank you. This really does mean a lot to me, and especially Simon....even if the brute doesn't want to admit it..."
Another groan is heard from Simon, who's barely...just barely....got a slight upward curl of his lips going on.
"...So I'll text ya soon with some dates and times so we can all get together and hang out a bit, so you can Simon can get to know each other better, yeah?"
You nod, smiling as you stand up and give Johnny another quick hug.
"Yeah. Sounds good. See you later, Johnny. Simon."
You give a slight nod to Simon, who hesitates before giving a slight nod back. Johnny turns and walks to Simon, taking Simon's hand in his before the couple leaves your house.

Can I request a one shot for how Logan react to his shy gender neutral crush who always offer to help him whenever they think he needs it please?
Logan wasn’t used to people offering to help him—let alone someone like you, who was quiet, shy, and always seemed to linger in the background. You had a habit of stepping forward whenever you thought he needed a hand, whether it was something small like grabbing tools in the garage or volunteering to go on a mission with him. It wasn’t that Logan needed the help; he’d been self-reliant for longer than most people had been alive. But the way you offered—so genuine, so earnest—made him pause every time.
It didn’t hurt that he’d started to develop a soft spot for you.
Logan noticed you before you approached, as always. He was working on his motorcycle, crouched down, tightening bolts when he heard your soft footsteps behind him. He didn’t turn around, but he could sense your presence hovering, just like you always did when you were gearing up to offer your help.
"Hey, Logan," you said quietly, your voice barely above a whisper, though he heard it clear as day. "Need a hand with that?"
He glanced over his shoulder, his sharp blue eyes meeting yours. He could see the slight nervousness in your expression, the way your hands fidgeted just a little. You always got a bit shy around him, though Logan couldn’t figure out why. You were one of the few people who made him feel calm, maybe even a little less like the gruff, lone wolf he’d spent most of his life being.
"Nah, I got it," he said, though his voice wasn’t as gruff as usual. There was a hint of softness, something reserved just for you. "But I appreciate the offer."
You nodded, looking like you weren’t quite ready to leave yet. Logan had noticed that too—you always stuck around, even when he turned down your help. Like you were waiting for another chance to jump in. And as much as Logan wasn’t used to needing anyone, he couldn’t deny he liked having you nearby.
"You don’t gotta help me all the time, y’know," Logan said, leaning back on his heels as he wiped his hands on a rag. "You don’t owe me nothin'."
Your face flushed slightly, and you glanced down, nervously playing with the hem of your shirt. "I just… I like helping. And… I like being around you."
That made Logan pause, his gaze softening as he watched you. It wasn’t the first time he’d noticed the way you always found excuses to be near him, but hearing you say it aloud? That was different. His heart gave a little jolt, something unfamiliar but not unwelcome.
"You like bein' around me, huh?" he asked, his voice low, more teasing than usual.
You nodded quickly, though your eyes remained fixed on the ground, too shy to meet his gaze.
Logan stood up slowly, dusting his hands off before stepping closer to you, close enough that you had to tilt your head slightly to look up at him. He wasn’t trying to intimidate you, but there was something about the way you got all flustered around him that made him want to test the waters.
"You know, most people don’t go out of their way to help me," he said, his voice still gentle but tinged with curiosity. "So why you always offerin'? What’s in it for you?"
You swallowed, clearly nervous, but you met his gaze for the first time, your voice soft but sincere. "I don’t need anything in return. I just… care about you. And I like being there for you."
Logan’s heart did another unexpected flip at your words, and for a moment, he didn’t know what to say. He wasn’t used to this—having someone care about him just because they wanted to. But looking at you, standing there all shy and honest, he realized he didn’t mind it one bit.
A small, rare smile tugged at the corner of his lips. "Well, darlin', if you wanna be around, I ain’t gonna stop ya."
Your eyes widened a little, surprised by his response, but a shy smile slowly spread across your face. "Really?"
Logan chuckled softly, reaching out to ruffle your hair gently—a small gesture, but one that said more than words. "Really. 'Sides, it’s kinda nice havin' someone lookin' out for me for a change."
Your smile brightened, and Logan felt a warmth in his chest that he hadn’t expected. Maybe having you around wasn’t just nice—it was something he’d come to look forward to.

— crush’d
You’re Bakugou’s one true love, but you’re curious to know if he’s had any crushes before you.
Warnings: fluff, established relationship.
Word Count: 0.9k.
You’d known when you first started dating Bakugou that you were his first proper relationship. It was something that never really bothered you, in fact it was quite the opposite. It felt nice knowing that you were experiencing things together for the first time, and with no real expectations you both formed the perfect bond. But there was always an inquisitiveness in your mind about Bakugou’s previous love life, and whilst there weren’t any previous girlfriends you were curious to know about the crushes he’d had before you.
“You must have had a crush on someone” You sat beside him on the couch, snuggled beneath a large Dynamight fleece blanket as you debated which movie to watch for date night.
“It’s only ever been you” Bakugou replies simply, his left arm slung over your thighs as his right hand holds the television remote. Sinking himself deeper into the couch as he relaxes after a long day at work, the slightest smudge of black from his hero mask still streaked beneath his eyes as his hair sits damp after his quick shower.
“Yeah, but you can still have crushes on people!” You pressed.
“I don’t have crushes,” Bakugou scoffed.
“I told you, silly.” You roll your eyes, “You must have had a crush on me before we started dating, right?”
You thought back to the times where Bakugou would appear at your workplace between shifts, spending a little longer than necessary on his patrol route in the same area in the hopes of catching a glimpse of you.
“Nah, you just annoyed me until we started dating.” He snickered.
“I think it’s the other way round, mister.” You gave him an incredulous look, “Do I have to remind you when you sent Kiri in to ask if I hated you because I didn’t see you when you waved that one morning.”
“Wait— I annoyed you?” Bakugou gave you a defensive look, his eyes widening in worry as he looked like a kicked puppy, “You said you liked when I came in to see you.”
“I’m only joking,” You snorted, “You’re too cute.”
“Shut up.” He grumbled, hiding his face back inside his hoodie as he gave your thigh a soft squeeze. Continuing to scroll aimlessly for something to watch on television.
“No, but seriously. There must have been a girl you fancied before me.”
It wasn’t that you were insecure in your relationship with the number two hero, it was quite the opposite really. Bakugou made you feel more wanted and loved than anyone before, even with his demanding career he made it abundantly clear how much you mattered to him. A fact that had your heart racing whenever you thought about it.
“Not really,” He shrugged, clicking onto one of the action movies on the screen to read the synopsis, “Didn’t have time for that shit.”
“Come on, Katsu. There must have been someone,” You squeezed his arm, “Not even asking a girl to marry you when you were five?”
“Nah,” He smirks, “Most girls were scared’a me.”
“So who was the first proper crush you ever had?” You continued, “Even just the first person you thought was cute.”
Bakugou stopped scrolling through the list of movies, nose scrunched slightly as he was deep in thought. You knew his friends would tease and taunt him for you being his first girlfriend in his thirties, the life of a Pro making it difficult for him to form any lasting connections— not that he seemingly wanted to anyway, too focused on his career goals than trying to settle down. But there had to be people in his past life that he found attractive, or at least crushed on growing up. Thinking back to the crushes you had when you were younger, drawing silly hearts around their names in workbooks at school or dreaming up fantasy scenarios of you getting married and having kids.
“Didn’t really get a crush on anyone until I was fifteen, sixteen.” He thinks.
“Yeah? So spill-“ You poked his side playfully.
“Off, woman.” He made a feeble attempt of batting you away as you yelped playfully, “Mirko.”
“Mirko?” You grinned, “The rabbit hero?”
“Yeah,” He chewed the inside of his cheek.
“That’s so cute,” You continued, “No wonder you have those action figures of her in your room.”
“They’re collectibles.” Bakugou corrected you with a scoff.
“Oh I’m so sorry,” You replied, sarcasm oozing from your voice as you gave him puppy dog eyes.
“Yeah, yeah. So what about you?” Crimson eyes look to the side to shoot the same question across to you, “Who’d you like?”
You thought back to all the crushes you’d had over the years, the older Pro-Heroes that used to cover your walls as a teenager, and the musicians that held your heart in their hands whenever you heard their songs. But you couldn’t think of another guy that had the same effect on you that Bakugou had, no one else felt the same.
“I don’t think I had a proper crush until I was a little older either,” You think back, “I did ask a boy to marry me when I was five though.”
“I woulda married you first.” He replies simply.
“Katsu, I was five.” You laugh, and Bakugou is certain you’ve never sounded prettier.
“So?” He scoffs, “Reckon I woulda known back then you were the one too.”
“That’s sweet.” You lean onto his arm to press a glossy kiss to the stubble against his jaw, the slightest tinge of pink glowing against his cheeks as he stays facing forward.
“Wait, who asked you to marry them?” Bakugou whips his head to the side to lock eyes with you, brows furrowed in irritation.
“Katsuki I know you’re not getting jealous of five year old me being proposed to.” You grin.
“I’m not,” He grumbles, pausing for a moment as you take the control out of his hands to start scrolling through movies, “But you said no right?”

Just a little mission, right?
Contains ✮ light angst, light flirting, teen!Satoru x teen!reader
Summary ✮ you and gojo were both called out for a mission against the new, highly dangerous, grade 1 curse in a rural neighborhood. The both of you thought this was going to be easy, but were quickly proven very wrong.
Word count ✮ 2,210
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“A mission? With ‘toru?”
“Ew…”
“Ew!?” You turned to Satoru with a peeved expression, your eye twitching.
Yaga cleared his throat, “There’s a new grade 1 curse that’s been sited roaming a rural neighborhood. Very little information has been gained, and it’s hurt quite of few civilians, so be careful.”
You pried your gaze away from Satoru, taking a deep breath. Releasing the air from your lungs, you look back to Yaga, “ok, let’s get going then. If this curse is as bad your saying we should get moving.”
“Why do you have to be so serious? They’re sending the best sorcerer out there and you as my sidekick!” Satoru giggled as he skipped away.
You groaned, rubbing your temples, “I’m gonna kill him- I’m gonna do it Yaga mark my words,” you let out a slight laugh with Yaga before waving him off and jogging to catch up with Satoru.
“You know you can be nice to me in front of other people-“ you sigh, crossing your arms as you two of you make your way to the car.
“Mmm…” Satoru looked like he was in deep thought, fixing his glasses and twirling his hair. You actually began to grow concern, you’ve never seen him so deep in thought before. You were worried his brain might explode.
“nah.”
You landed a solid blow to his left arm, knocking him balance. He actually stumbled pretty hard, “ow! What was that for!” He yelled while rubbing his arm, a pout coming over his face.
The both of you begin to giggle quietly as you two come together again, blush forming in your cheeks as the tips of your ears grew hot. Satoru’s pale skin had a slight shade of pink, blushing a bit as well.
As much as you two bickered, at the end of the, day you both truly cared for one another. You both were incredibly strong sorcerers, not only because of your abilities, but because of your trust in one another to have each others back.
It was rare for you two to go on missions together, especially after Satoru’s awakening. It got rather lonely going on missions by yourself, that’s something you and Geto could agree on.
Though you couldn’t help but wonder…why were you two going on a mission together? 9 times out of 10 Satoru was completely capable of handling curses on his own. So why you? Why not Geto? He’s proved himself to be much stronger than you. Questions filled your mind, which caught Satoru’s attention since you had grown quiet.
“You ok, short stuff?” He asked in a soft tone, showing his genuine concern. He placed a hand on your shoulder, giving you a small shake. You didn’t even realize you had stopped walking.
“Huh? Oh yeah I’m fine, just got lost in my thoughts,” you let out a short, anxious laugh, rubbing that back of your head.
“Well don’t get to lost, I don’t wanna have to go in there and try lookin for ya!” Satoru put a hand on your upper back with a hearty smack, beginning to push you forward once more.
The two of you finally arrived at the car that would be taking you to your mission. When you went to open your door, your hand barely grazed the handle before Satoru smacked it.
“Nah ah ah,” he said, clicking his tongue behind his teeth, “now what kind of gentleman would I be if I didn’t open the door for you,” he hummed, opening the door for you.
Blush scattered across your face, “oh uh- thanks,” you mumbled. As you began to move forward, Satoru slipped his way in front of you and into the car, closing the door behind him.
You blinked rapidly, trying to process what just happened. You gave Satoru a blank stare, before you face turned a deep red color. You made your way to the opposite side of the car, or practically threw the door open, and climbed in. You crossed your arms across your chest, your eyes fixated forward.
“Awwww is something maaaad?”
You didn’t respond, turning your head quickly making your hair sway slightly.
“So dramatic…” Satoru playfully rolled his eyes. Leaning over and grabbing you by the waist, he pulled you over into the middle seat. He wrapped an arm around your shoulder to pull you in even closer.
You couldn’t stay mad at him, but you definitely did continue to pout while snuggling into his embrace. Your eyes began to grow a bit heavy, but you did your best to keep yourself awake.
“This is going to be a bit longer of a drive than what we’re used to, so I’d suggest you two get some rest,” the driver stated, pulling out of the front gate entrance.
You yawned, “no need to tell me twice…” you quickly began to drift off, and so did Satoru. Soon enough, the two of you were passed out, snoring quietly to yourselves.
——
The neighborhood was vacant, looking almost abandoned. The wind whistled as it blew through the trees. The wind felt so loud in your ears, yet so soft when it hit you. Even the sun felt distant here, the whole town being the same shade of greyish blue. It casted no shadows. It made you uneasy.
“Here are ur ‘tings-“ Satoru said, dropping your suitcase next to your feet, “kinda creepy here, huh? I was told that everyone was evacuated before we got here, so a veil isn’t needed. They also blocked the roads off so no one’s gonna be driving through here either.”
You picked up your suitcase, forgetting how heavy it was for a second, “let’s get going, I rather not stay here longer than we need to…”
Dung…dung…dung…
“Did you hear that?” You looked around, now on high alert.
“Hear what?” Satoru responded, looking around as well, “you going crazy? We haven’t even been here ten minutes!”
Heavy, child like breathing filled your ears, but when you looked towards where the sound was coming from, it went pin drop silent, “I heard what sounded like a grandfather clock, and a child breathing? It’s hard to explain.”
Satoru hummed in thought, “let’s get deeper into the neighborhood,” he began walking down the middle of the street, “comin’?”
“Oh uh yeah, coming,” you ran to catch up as you two began making your way deeper into the rural neighborhood.
“Soooo…what you wanna talk about?” Satoru asked as you two walked side by side.
“What do you mean what do I wanna talk about? You’re acting like there’s something wrong.”
“Well you did just bug out a second ago, maybe I wanna make sure you’re ok,” he shrugged, looking at you from the side of his glasses.
“Oh stop this gushy ‘Toru talk it’s weirding me out,” you swatted your hand at him. You took a deep breath, “well…maybe there is something.”
“And what is that something?”
“I can’t help but wonder why we’re going out together- like on this mission. You’re more than capable of doing this alone, and if you weren’t,” you sighed, “Geto would be a much better pick than me…” you mumbled.
“Well maybe you’re right,” Saturo responded quickly, which made your heart ache a bit, “but how are you going to get better,” he walked in front of you, putting both of his hands onto your shoulders, “if you’re only ever sent on mission you can handle?”
He had a point. You had been reaching a point in your missions where you found them boring to tackle, “I guess you’re right…thanks.”
“You get in your head too much! You’re gonna be the one stopping yourself from growing if you keep acting like this,” Satoru went back to being by your side, “so let’s cut this loser talk and act like we’ve already won.”
You laughed a little, “right!” You cheered, beginning to walk with him once more.
——
Your heels clicked against the cement with every step. Satoru was kicking broken pieces of cement with the toe of his show. You were looking around, somewhat paranoid about the earlier encounter you had with the supposed curse. What was it? Was it actually the cursed spirit? Or was it just your mind playing tricks on you? Your mind and heart began to race. Your heart thumped deeply against your ribs. You did your best to try and remind yourself of Satoru’s words from earlier. But the fact the spirit had yet to show itself made you extremely anxious. The sound of your heart filled your ears as your heart began to race faster and faster until it just…
“Stop,”
“Huh?”
“Listen…”
You snapped out of focusing on your heart, and realized the world had become completely silent. Deadly silent.
It wasn’t just the wind had stopped blowing, or Satoru stopped kicking rocks. It was that the rocks no longer made sound. Satoru squatted down, picking up the rock he had been kicking into his finger tips, “how odd…” he said in a whisper, before throwing the rock onto the pavement, “I’m not sensing any cursed energy…” Satoru began walking forward, looking around more carefully.
A cold shiver ran up your spine, feeling something watching you from a distance. Weight fell upon your shoulders. The cursed energy you- it was heavy. How could Satoru not feel this?
“Do you wanna play with me?”
You shot your head around, nearly knocking yourself over with how much force you put into turning around.
About 50 feet away from you, was a little girl dressed in a black dress with white polka dots. She held a small monkey plush in between her crossed arms. She had long, pin straight blonde hair. She didn’t have any shoes on. Her feet were was dark as the concrete beneath her toes.
“‘Toru-“ you whispered loud enough for him to hear.
“What?”
“Turn around-“
As Satoru was turning around, the little girl spoke again,
“Let’s play tag…I’m it,”
Satoru squinted his eyes, hoping to see what you were looking at, “what are you looking-“
Suddenly you went flying back, crashing hard into a house. When you lifted your head from the rubble, you saw the little girl crouched next to you. Your head was pounding, your vision spinning. The bells began ringing in your ears again.
You groaned, “fuck…” you put your hand to your head, trying to sit up. The bells ringing hurt your head, making it throb. As you pulled your hand away, you noticed blood on your hand from your head.
When your vision finally was clearing, you saw Satoru by your side, “hey- hey! You ok?” His voice finally became clear in your ears.
“Yeah I’m ok,” you tried stand, but your legs felt numb, “how are we gotta defeat this curse if she’s only appearing to me?”
“Good question…I think I have an idea though. It’s a long shot, but it’s better than nothing,” Satoru stood up and reached out his hand to you. You grabbed it firmly and he pulled you up to your feet. It took you a second to gain your balance, but eventually you were good to walk again.
The both of you walked out of the rubble, and there in the middle of the road stood the girl, “Aw you survived?” She pouted, “guess I should’ve taken you more seriously.”
Her form began to bubble and grow, morphing into something you couldn’t make out quite yet.
Using the blood from your head, you made a harpoon with your cursed blood technique. You chucked it with all your strength, making it whistle and rattle through the air. It struck right into the morphing blob, causing it to let out a deep, gurgling groan.
Satoru followed up by jumping on top of the blob that used to be a little girl, “how fascinating…” he said as he bounced, “able to block out all your cursed energy to all but one person…you’re one special first grade curse!”
The blob finally finished its morphing, turning into a centipede type creature. It began moving very quickly toward you. You destroyed the harpoon you had, and replaced it with a large shield to block the oncoming blow from the curse.
You placed your feet firmly into the ground as you took blow. You pushed curse off, bashing the curse across the head, “Of course you’d turn into the most disgusting thing on the planet!”
Satoru ran toward you and punched the air, mostly guessing where the curse was. Luckily he was right, punching the curse towards the center of its body, sending it flying into a true.
“How about you show yourself coward! Fight us equally!” Satoru yelled at the curse.
The curse came flying at you, and as you prepared yourself to take the impact, you realized you didn’t have access to your suitcase, which was filled with blood bags filled with your blood. The cursed antenna stabbed you right through the chest, causing you to instantly spit up blood- tons of it.
The curse had punctured both of your lungs, as well is destroyed your rib age. It stopped abruptly, causing you to fly off its antenna and into a tree-
“(Y/N)!” Satoru screamed…
Before the world went dark…
Raven laid in her bed doing a mental recap of the night. How had they gone from fighting like cats and dogs, to not speaking, to her being on the verge of begging him to fuck her on the spot just to relieve that dull throb he'd stirred up.
Every thought she had of the night made her feel like she was right there on that dance floor all over again. She could still feel the scruff of his beard tickling her cheek, and it reignited the goosebumps on her skin. She'd been constantly going back and forth about what would drive him to do such a thing. Constantly trying to explain away his actions so she could get some peace of mind and go to bed.
She was coming up with nothing. "You know what, I'm just gonna go ask him." She spoke to herself before rising from her bed. She took one step forward before puasing to look at herself in the mirror. "Girl, no the fuck you not."
The soft knock on the door of his bedroom caused Armando to sigh in annoyance. "If it's Dorn, it's too late to talk about techy shit. If it's Marcus, I don't want to hear about something you weren't even going to tell me, man." His words were met with a brief silence before the door began to creek open.
He didn't move from his position, laid on his back with both hands behind his head. He was relaxed, which was a very rare occasion, so he wasn't going to break that. He simply turned his head to not see either of the men, but to his surprise Raven slowly stepped in.
Even in the shadows and moonlight that seeped through the window, her face was still gorgeous. He eyed her briefly. Noting that she only wore a large t-shirt that read "Ken's Mojo Dojo Casa House." Whatever the fuck that meant. "Come in, blackbird." He rasped.
His eyes were trained on her, this wasn't the same woman. She was more timid than usual, softly closing the door and coming to sit on the edge of the bed near him. "Why do you keep calling me blackbird?" Her face softly contorting in confusing. "Because your name is Raven, genius." He smirked.
Raven stared at him for a moment, how was he so casual with everything that'd happened tonight. She had a million questions, and she couldn't think of a single one to start with. "I--I'm sorry for calling you a drug dealer. That wasn't a nice thing to say to someone who's trying to turn their life around." Not only was her demeanor different but so was her voice, it was soft, almost as if she was scared to break the silence of the night.
A warming balm spread across the male's heart. In his life he hadn't gotten many apologies, even when he was clearly wronged. So, hearing this from the same women who threatened to pull her gun out on him just a few days ago was surprising yet appreciated.
Raven on the other hand couldn't deny that this was a beautiful man. That Lowery DNA was something special. She studied each of his features thoroughly in the darkness of the room. Those thick and defined eyebrows accented by dark curly lashes always caught her attention. She hadn't realized how hard she was staring until Armando cleared his throat, ripping her from her trance. "I appreciate that, but tell me, little one. Did you just come here to apologize?"
With that simple question her throat grew dry and her face hot. Why did she come here? What was this going to accomplish? She'd spent ten minutes arguing with herself about this and not once had this crossed her mind. Her teeth sunk into her bottom lip, what the fuck was she supposed to say?
Armando sat up from his position, his bare muscular chest visible to her doe eyes. "Nah, I know that look. You're looking a little needy right now, baby." His hand gently gripped her chin while he observed her face.
She was practically spewing pheromones all over this room. "Just say the word and I can fix that for you. Cause God knows I've been fantasizing about these lips since we left that club." He spoke to her in the sultriest tone she'd ever herd. His rough thumb pad pressing into her lip and pulling it away from her teeth. His body was now on autopilot as he moved closer to her. Closing the gap between them. Thier lips inches apart, close enough to just gently brush together as his spoke. "Can I take care of you?"
The woman had no audible response, only leaning forward to fully close the space between their lips.
The kiss between these two was much like their dynamics. Feverish, rough, passionate, and yearning for more. Armando wasted no time stripping Raven of her clothes, delighted to see that she wore noting under her shirt.
The dress she wore that night had done no justice compared to the masterpiece of her bare body. "Just relax, baby." His voice was muffled while he kissed along her inner thigh. His eyes darted from her anxious face to the beautiful pink junction between her legs. Just looking at her he could see her juices coating glistening folds.
He licked over his lips before offering her the same release. His tongue traveling up her center. The soft moan that filled the space when he'd brushed against her swollen bud was music to him, it was a sound he'd commit to memory for the rest of his life.
And Raven, poor Raven had lost all of her bravado. Hell, Armando was sucking it out of her- literally. He licked and sucked along her pussy, teasing her when he'd rotate his tongue just around her clit but not fully attaching his mouth to it, not giving her the suction she'd kill for. "Eres la cosa más dulce que he probado en mi vida, nena." "Armando." She was breathless, doing her best to get out her words as her chest heaved. "P-please."
"Please what?" He questioned with a sinisterly teasing tone. "You want more?" His words were followed behind him plunging two of his thick fingers into her. Immediately, her warm walls squeezed him as his pumped his hand. "Oh god." She cried, moving her hips to meet his motions. Finally, Raven took the moment to gaze down at the male who was already staring at her in hunger. "That's right baby, be a good girl and ride my fucking fingers." A shiver ran down her spine at his words, he was going to drive her insane. "Armando, make me cum." Finally gaining some of her wits back, Raven reached down, locking her fingers into his dark hair pulling him back into her center.
Her assertion of her own dominance in this moment caused Armando's rock-hard length to ache even more as happily obliged. Diving back between her legs. This time, his lips finally wrapped her throbbing bud, sucking roughly and swirling his tongue. His fingers continued their assault on her sopping hole. Curving upwards slightly to gently press into the spongy space of her g-spot. She wouldn't last long with this combination and they both knew it.
Her hips writhing against him, pushing herself farther on to his face. "F-fuck Armando. I'm about to c-" She hadn't even been able to finish her statement before her orgasm hit her like a ton of bricks. He felt her contracting around his fingers, her clit throbbing against his tongue as he continued to lap her at juices until this wave of ecstasy subsided. It'd honestly knocked the sound out of her.
Seconds felt like hours to Raven. The pleasure that shot through her body was something no other man had made her feel. She basically had to pry Armando's mouth from her sensitive core feeling breathless, but he only smirked in pride at the whimpering bundle of nerves he'd just turned her into.
Raven sat up on her elbows, still breathing heavily as she glanced down at his exposed erection. She couldn't help but be mesmerized as he stroked himself. He was beautiful, long, thick, and veiny. She gazed up at him through her eyelashes to meet a lustful stare before turning over to all fours. She positioned herself in an arch that left her head flush to the mattress and her pussy and ass propped in the air exposed to him. "Well." She smiled innocently. "Show me what 'cha got."
That was all he needed to hear from her. He wasted no time positioning himself behind the ass that was as beautiful as he thought it would be. He stared down between the two. Watching as he drug the thick pink tip of his length through those slick folds he'd certainly be tasting again. He took a moment to apply the slightest pressure to her entrance before sinking into her.
She fit around him like a glove, squeezing and engulfing him in warmth and wetness. For Raven, he stretched her walls so deliciously she almost started to drool.
Both of them moaning in unison.
Slower strokes started their passionate session, Armando knew he wasn't small by any means and wanted her to comfortably adjust before things truly got started.
The wet sticky sounds of him slowly working into her were pornographic. With growing speed, he felt her grow better. His hands gripped her hips, thumbs digging into her soft skin as the slapping sounds of their bodies colliding together grew louder. "Joder." he growled, his head tilting back with slightly parted lips and closed eyes.
Raven couldn't believe how wet she'd grown; her arousal coated the inside of her thighs and even created a wet spot on the bed below them. Her body was rocked by Armando's powerful thrusts, damn her being sore tomorrow. She'd enjoy whatever he had to offer now. She allowed herself to come up a bit, moving her hips back to now meet his thrusts. "Throw that shit back, mami. Let me see what you can do." A challenge mirroring her own was all she needed. Immediately Raven began to throw her weight back into him, her ass bouncing off was a sight he'd be storing in his memory bank for a lonely night. Their mixed calls of pleasure and obesities filled the room along with the occasional smack of the ass he gave her.
Eventually. they ended up in a position where Armando was kneeling behind the woman who was practically seated into his lap as she bounced. Armando's large hand tangled itself in Raven's hair, yanking her head back to look at him. The sight of her flushed cheeks and a slight sheen of sweat present on her skin drove him crazy. And fuck did she fit him snugly like she was made for him. Not releasing her, he began animalistic thrusts that caused her to bellow out. "Shit.' She cursed. "Cállate, pequeña. Despertarás a los demás."
His own voice was laced with the need to release. Something they both felt coming once he began to throb inside of her. "Fuck, are you about to cum? Please cum in me, I wanna feel it. Please. I wanna feel you." Her begging cut the last remaining shred of control he had. His thrusts becoming sloppy, short, and shallow as he worked towards his own orgasm. One hand stayed tangled in her hair while the other squeezed at her double D breast and pinched at her hardened nipples. As soon as Armando felt the tensing of his abdominal muscles, he also felt the release as he shot his warm load into her. Raven experienced her own secondary orgasm, their bodies already in sync. Her fingers had been working at her clit, but they both knew it was him coating her walls that threw her over the edge.
Heavy breathing filled the room, neither one of them daring to pull away from the other. Armando placed a kiss on the woman's head. Her hair already starting to curl back up. It took a moment, but eventually Armando managed to pull himself and Raven from the bed. Cleaning them both because he'd honestly worn her out. Her attempt to return to her own room was met by Armando following behind her, stating that she might as well put that bonnet on and get comfortable, because he'd be sleeping with her for the night.
can you please make nyen X reader smut or just normal PLEASE I NEED MORE
Provoked
Nyen x Reader
Living in Luther’s house had always been an experience, especially with everyones odd habits and unspoken rules. One of those rules was simple: don’t mess with Nyen ESPECIALLY when he’s working out. But today deciding you had a death wish ,you decided to break that rule.
The day had been frustrating. Luther had sent you on another errand, and by the time you got back, your patience was wearing thin. You walked into the living room, groceries in hand, and spotted Nyen in the middle of his workout. He was dressed in his black tank .His body moving with precise, almost mechanical, discipline as he knocked out push-ups with ease.
It wasn’t just the sight of Nyen that irritated you—it was everything. The way he ignored everyone unless it suited him, the way he carried himself like he was better than everyone else. He always acted like the world revolved around him, and today, you were done pretending that didn’t bother you.
“Do you ever do anything useful besides work out?” you snapped, tossing the grocery bag onto the counter with more force than necessary. The clattering sound of cans and boxes echoed through the room.
Nyen didn’t respond at first. He paused in mid-push-up, holding the position without breaking a sweat, and turned his head just slightly to glance at you. His expression was impassive, unreadable, as if asking you to repeat yourself but something in his eyes told you that he was already annoyed, guilt was the last thing on your mind.
“Maybe if you spent as much time helping out as you do flexing in the mirror and admiring your lazy ass self, you’d actually contribute something around here,” you added, the irritation clear in your voice.
Slowly, Nyen pushed himself to his feet. His movements were fluid, almost too controlled, like a predator that was deciding whether or not to pounce. He turned to face you fully, his eyes narrowing as they locked onto yours. “What the fuck did you just say?”
YEESH you had definitely fucked up but there was definitely no turning back now!!!
The venom in his tone made you hesitate for a split second, but you had already made a point and you weren't going down. Irritation overpowered your better judgment. “I said, maybe if you weren’t so obsessed with looking tough, you’d actually be useful. But no, you’re just Luther’s overgrown pet who spends more time showing off than doing anything important.”
Nyen’s expression darkened, his face twisting into a snarl. “You’ve got some fucking nerve talking to me like that. You’re just a weak little human who can’t even handle a simple errand without whining.”
“Oh, I’m weak?” you shot back, stepping closer, your heart pounding with a mix of fear and adrenaline. “At least I don’t fucking kill things for fun and find pleasure in it. Fucking weirdo. Actually, do you think that makes you strong? It just makes you a psychopathic sadist.”
Nyen’s eyes flashed with anger. “Better a psychopath than a pathetic, mouthy piece of shit who doesn’t know when to shut the fuck up.” His voice was a low growl now, filled with barely restrained fury.
The insult hit harder than you expected, and for a moment, you considered backing down. But you werent a pussy so hell nah! You're already pissed from being everyones dormat and you were tired of being talked down to, especially tired of the constant tension. “At least I have a mind of my own,” you said, your voice rising. “You’re nothing but Luther’s attack dog. Without him, you’re just a lonely, aggrovated bitch who has nothing else going for him.”
For a split second, the room was dead silent. Then, Nyen exploded.
“You little shit!” he roared, his voice shaking with rage. Before you could react, Nyen grabbed the edge of the table and flipped it over with a furious snarl, sending groceries and utensils flying across the room. The sudden violence sent a shockwave of fear through you, but it was too late to turn back now.
Yeah you're definitely fucked.
His eyes were fixed on you, and for the first time, you truly realized the danger you were in.
“You think you can talk to me like that and get away with it?” Nyen hissed, taking a menacing step towards you. His hands were clenched into fists, and you could see the muscles in his arms tensing as if he was ready to strike. “You fucking idiot, I’ll tear you apart!”
Panic set in, and without thinking, you turned and bolted. You could hear Nyen’s footsteps pounding after you, fast and relentless. Your heart was racing, your breath coming in ragged gasps as you ran through the hallway, what the FUCK where you thinking?????This is Nyen where taking about and did you mention he works out everday????!!!
You desperately tryed to find a way out. But deep down, you knew you were trapped—Luther, Randal, and Sebastian had gone grocery shopping, leaving you alone in the house with Nyen and Nyon. (Plus kitty and Nana)
There was no one coming to help you.
You burst into the kitchen, and Nyon almost jumped as you guys came crashing in, his eyes opened wider as he looked down from the fridge where he occasionally liked to nap.
Your hands shaking as you grabbed a frying pan from the counter. Nyen was right behind you, his eyes filled with a terrifying mix of fury and sadistic glee. “Running won’t save you,” he taunted, his voice laced with a cruel edge. “You’re fucking dead, you know that?”
“Stay the hell away from me!” you shouted, swinging the pan wildly in his direction. But Nyen was too fast—he ducked under the swing with a snarl, his eyes never leaving yours. The frying pan clattered to the floor, and you scrambled back, trying to put as much distance between you and him as possible.
Nyen straightened up, a mocking grin spreading across his face. “Pathetic,” he spat, slowly advancing on you. “Is that all you’ve got? You really thought you could take me on? You’re even dumber than you look.”
Desperation gripped you as you backed up against the wall, your mind racing for a way out. But there was no escape—Nyen had you cornered, and he knew it.
With deliberate, almost leisurely movements, Nyen reached into his waistband and pulled out a knife. The blade gleamed wickedly in the dim kitchen light, and your blood ran cold. “I'll love seeing you fucking squirm,” Nyen said, his voice dripping with sadism.
You tried to dodge as Nyen lunged at you, but he was too fast. The knife slashed across your arm, leaving a stinging cut that sent a wave of pain shooting through you. You cried out, and it hurt like SHIT.
Clutching your bleeding arm as you stumbled backwards, the fear now fully consuming you as the reality of the situation dawning on you.
“Hurts, doesn’t it?” Nyen sneered, advancing on you with deadly intent. “That’s just a taste of what’s coming, you fucking asshole. I’m going to enjoy every second of this.”
You grabbed a chair, swinging it in his direction with all the strength you had left, but Nyen easily sidestepped the attack quite literally insulting you because you put a lot of force into that.
He was toying with you, drawing out the moment, savoring your fear. “Come on,” he taunted, his voice low and menacing. “Fight back. Or are you just going to stand there and let me carve you up?”
You tried to swing the chair again, but Nyen was too quick. He grabbed the chair out of your hands and threw it aside with a snarl. “Pathetic,” he repeated, his voice filled with contempt. “You’re nothing. Just a weak, scared little human who doesn’t know when to shut up and admit their place.”
He grabbed you by the collar and slammed you against the wall, his face inches from yours. “Any last words?” he growled, his breath hot against your skin.
Fear paralyzed you. You could barely think, let alone come up with something to say. But before Nyen could strike, a sudden noise echoed through the house—the faint sound of a door creaking open, followed by footsteps.
Somehow, while you and Nyen were busy fighting , Nyon had managed to get Luther to intervene. Luther stood beside Nyon. Luther looked at you both in the rather unflattering position you were in, his mouth set to a line. Luther hummed, which made Nyen roughly let you go.
“Fucking pest,” he muttered under his breath, before turning his attention back to you and making sure Luther had left the room.
“Looks like you got lucky. But next time…” He pressed the knife against your throat just enough for you to feel its cold edge. “*There won’t be a next time.*”
With a final shove, he let you go, sending you sprawling to the floor. Nyen glared down at you one last time, his eyes filled with unspoken threats. Then, with a snarl of frustration, he turned and stormed out of the kitchen, leaving you trembling and shaken on the floor.
As the sound of his footsteps faded, you slumped against the wall, your breath coming in ragged gasps. The cut on your arm throbbed painfully and you tried your absolute best not to start crying.
You sat there for a long time, trying to calm your racing heart and still your shaking hands. The house felt eerily silent, the earlier tension hanging in the air. Nyen had shown you a side of him one that you hoped you’d never see again..
When you finally gathered the strength to stand, you ran into Nyon who you figured (despite the language barrier) try to patch you up.
You spent the rest of the night replaying the events of today and a smile tugged on your lips.
You were definitely going to abuse the fact that Nyen was so submissive when Luther was around.
Part 2 will be out soon! Mb smut if u guys want ^_^
Like many of us I'm doing a TWD rewatch, looking for all those pre-relationship moments, and a great little one in 4x01 is after Michonne arrives back at the prison -- there's a moment where Daryl tells her "Glad to see you're in one piece." HOWEVER, when he says that he turns to look directly at Rick. Who in turn quickly looks away, almost bashful.
You can just imagine what Daryl had to put up with, with Rick in those early days. So I had to fic it.
Rick never said the words aloud. He never outright said, "I'm worried about Michonne. I hope she's okay. I hope she comes back." He was never that obvious. But to someone like Daryl, a man naturally of few words himself, it was clear as day that their fearless leader was never fully relaxed whenever that smartass/badass - who was more than capable of taking care of herself - wasn't safely tucked away behind their walls.
But what Rick would say when she was gone was - "There was a herd moving south, right?" Where Michonne had last gone hung unspoken between them. And when Daryl answered Yeah, Rick would just place his hands on his hips and nod, jaw tight, as he scanned the perimeter of the compound as if waiting for someone to magically appear.
He would say - "There's a lot more bandits out there, roaming in packs. Isn't that what you said?" A grunt and a shrug from Daryl, and Rick would nod like they'd just had a conversation and go back to his farming, digging the shovel into the dirt with a bit more force than necessary, making a point to not look at the fence. They hadn't heard from Michonne in two weeks.
He would say - "Nights are getting cold," while standing outside at the communal kitchen, plate in hand, his gaze always drawn to the barely visable fence line. Daryl had hummed in agreement, fighting the urge to tell him that Michonne should be fine as she had pilfered his poncho, something Rick already knew.
And on one strange occasion he said, "Do you think we should get some more ... art? In here?"
This had stopped Daryl in his tracks. "What?"
Rick shrugged, perhaps a little sheepishly, but continued. "We have a library, potted flowers, even some toys and things for the kids. This is our home now. Thought ... maybe it could use a bit of ... brightening?"
Daryl just starred blankly. "You want me to, what? Bring back pictures?"
For a moment it looked as if Rick was about to finally say what was actually on his mind, before he instead gave a rueful smile and waved his hand in the air as if to dispel the conversation. "Nah, nah, never mind. It was just a thought."
He walked away, leaving an utterly perplexed Daryl behind who simply shrugged and went on his own way. It was only later that day as he passed by Michonne's empty cell did his eyes fall upon that weird colourful cat thing, the one that looked like it was about to start a fight. It was such a stupid, useless thing but Daryl remembered how Michonne had presented it to him with an air of triumph, as if it was the most gorgeous thing in the world. He didn't get it.
Did Rick really think that if he made the place more art-filled, Michonne might want to hang around longer? he wondered, then immediately dismissed the idea. Well, clearly not because he gave up before he started. Like with other things.
Only once had Daryl said the unsaid thing.
Almost everyone was asleep. Well, Carl was hid under his blankets reading comics and there were low conversational sounds coming from some darkened cell, but for the most part things were quiet.
And they were kept quiet by an exhausted Rick, pacing back and forth with a fussy Judith, bouncing her non-stop so her cries wouldn't awaken the entire community. He'd nodded to Daryl, who in turn took a moment to ask if he needed help putting Judith to sleep tonight.
"No, thankyou" said Rick tiredly. "I think she's pretty much worn herself out by now. Should be sound asleep soon."
"You too."
Rick sighed. "Yeah. I just ..." He shifted Judith a little, "Even when I do get to bed, I can't seem to stop thinking. Thinking of plans for the future, for the people we have in here. The people we bring in. How to protect everyone inside these walls. Keep our people safe despite ... well, despite everything." Rick looked at Daryl as if he might have the answers to those questions he hadn't quite asked.
All he could do was shrug. "We just try. Trust that we all know what we're doing. Lookout for everyone here. Not much more we can do, is there? Future don't care about anyone's plans."
Rick didn't look totally reassured, but he still smiled slightly as Daryl's efforts. "Yeah. I just worry, is all."
"I know." And as Daryl passed by he gripped Rick's shoulder and muttered, "Shouldn't worry so much. Michonne'll be back, all in one piece. You'll see."
And the man had the audacity to look confused, stuttering out, "Yeah, I know that, but - but I wasn't talking about Michonne, specifically. I'm not worried about her. She can take care of herself, I know that, and she always comes back, it's just ... with everything ..."
As he trailed off Daryl eyed Rick critically for a moment. He really thinks he's selling it, he thought, before giving a soft grunt that was akin to laughter and wandering off to bed, leaving a somewhat disconcerted Rick behind, gently bouncing a sleeping Judith.
And the very next day who should come riding through the gates but one Michonne, smiling, baring gifts and all in one piece, as Daryl made sure to point out to Rick, who's ears suddenly went bright red as if Michonne might somehow be able to figure out that they'd been taking about her just that night before.
But she didn't notice. She was too caught up in her almost obsessive search for the Governor and already planning her next venture out, unaware of Rick's barely suppressed disappointment or of the sigh that Daryl kept clenched behind his teeth as he tried to subtly talk her out of another long run. It wasn't her who was stuck with Rick and his wordless pining.
Because it was pining, even if he never said nothing. If they were in school Daryl might've suggested he pass her a note.
When she had quickly offered to go back out again with the rest of the scavenging party - even though, as Carl had said wistfully, she'd just got back - and Daryl could do nothing more than give Rick a comforting pat, grimacing slightly as the man's expression said exactly the same thing his son had vocalised.
God, this was going to wear thin soon.
Ah well. Wasn't like they had TV anymore.
vampire! Machi x female! reader
💕Happy Valentine's Day💕
Warnings: creepy behavior, allusions to noncon/dubcon, implied death, implied violence, manipulation, mind control
Word count: 5.3k
You wanted to talk to her.
She sat next to you at the table, and you couldn't help the way your eyes would continuously go over to her, taking in different things about her appearance every time you would steal a glance. Her pink hair that was kept up in a ponytail was one of the first things you noted, followed by the pretty shade of blue of her eyes and the pale shade of her lipstick. The dark purple dress she was wearing suited her, though you had to wonder if the high collar of the garment made things uncomfortable given the rather humid air in the bar. Although she seemed comfortable enough, so it must not have been an issue for her.
You really wanted to talk to her.
Unfortunately, the current situation you found yourself in wasn't allowing that to happen. Not very easily.
A hand brushed against your shoulder, and your attention was brought back to the guy who was sitting way closer than you liked, crowding you in so you had no easy way out.
“You sure you don't want a drink?” he asked over the music in the bar.
“I've got a drink,” you answered, smiling as you lifted up the glass that you were careful not to let out of your sight.
“Then how about shots?”
“Nah, no thanks.”
“Aw, don't be boring.”
“I'm good,” you cheerfully reiterated, adding “maybe one of your friends will do it.”
“But I want you to do it.”
You laughed, trying your best to keep your annoyance hidden as he continued to push for you to drink more.
You didn't like this guy at all.
You wouldn't be sitting with him were it not for the fact that he and one of his friends had managed to effectively trap you where you were sitting: the two men came up on either side of the table where you were sitting and asked if the other seats were taken in the same moment that they sat down next to you. Since you had foolishly picked an area where the seats were right up against the wall, you couldn't get out without them moving out of the way.
And it was very clear that the guy sitting next to you didn't intend on leaving you alone.
Despite being in a crowded bar, you didn't feel safe trying to bring attention to your predicament. The conflict-averse part of you felt it was better to try and get out of this without causing a scene, so you smiled and pretended to entertain him while you waited for your opportunity to get away.
You thought you found your opportunity when the one on the other side of you got up to get himself a drink, and you kept the guy next to you distracted as you subtly collected your purse into your lap, ready to make a quick exit.
That was when she showed up.
The duo of men were actually a trio, and their third came sauntering up to the table with her, telling her to take the seat next to you. He tried to place his hand on her lower back but stopped when she gave him a sharp glare that made him back off, holding up his hands in mock surrender while she slid in next to you.
You could've asked her to move – tell that to her and this new guy before they settled in. And surely she would have no issue complying even if it would annoy the two men.
But after taking one look at her, you decided not to.
Instead, you said nothing as she sat down. And after the two of you made eye contact, you smiled and introduced yourself.
She nodded in response before giving you her name – Machi.
You couldn't explain it at all, why you decided to stay. There was something else, something about her that drew you in. What it was exactly you couldn't quite pinpoint; at best all you could say was that she had a certain aura about her that mystified you that part of you wanted to describe as being otherworldly, and that was enough to have you wishing that you could know more.
But so far the only words that the two of you had managed to exchange were your initial greetings, as the two guys that were now blocking both of you in were eager to have you drink your fill while they chatted you up. It looked pretty obvious to you where they were hoping this would go: you and Machi going home with them while being too inebriated to offer much in terms of resistance. That was the sense you got from the way the looked at you two and how the guy next to you – did he say his name was Jeremy? – kept finding reasons to put his hands on you. You felt your skin burning every time he touched you, but you fought the urge to push him away.
That was what you got for going out to a bar alone.
But maybe you and Machi could get out of this together.
You glanced over to her again while Jeremy was talking about something, and you found that she appeared just as disinterested in the man sitting next to her – his name might have been Glen – as she had been when he first herded her over here. Her eyes were still on the drink that he had placed in front of her earlier – that she had yet to even touch – and she wasn't giving him much of a reaction to anything he said. Her responses were generally short.
That didn't seem to dissuade him much, and you glanced over a short while later just in time to see him reaching for her hand.
She turned her head away from you to face him, and you could only assume that she was glaring at him again as he backed off immediately, once more holding his hands up in mock surrender.
Though you couldn't help but notice that the smile that accompanied that gesture seemed a lot more forced now.
That could be bad.
You needed to bring your attention back to Jeremy as you heard him speaking to you again.
“What do you think you'll be doing once you're done here?” he asked you.
“I'm not sure,” you answered.
He grinned as he leaned in closer, saying “we rented a room not far from here. You should come with us; we'll have more drinks.”
Oh fuck no
“I don't know,” you said, “I'm not sure how much more drinking I want to do tonight.”
“You're being boring again.”
“They're both being boring,” Glen chimed in, pointing to Machi's drink as he added “she hasn't touched what I got her at all.”
“I don't like it,” Machi told him.
“Why didn't you tell me earlier?”
“You didn't ask.”
Sensing that his friend was losing his patience, Jeremy cut in.
“You should drink it anyway. It's polite,” he told her.
“See? You're outvoted two to one. You should take a sip,” Glen said.
"No."
At that point, you felt compelled to step in as well.
“I agree with Machi. She doesn't need to drink it if she doesn't want to,” you said.
“Oh, come on! You're not supposed to team up against us,” Jeremy told you in a teasing tone.
“Then you shouldn't be giving us a reason to team up in the first place,” you said. Your tone had been just as light, and the slightly awkward moment ended when the third guy of their friend group (who you had almost managed to completely forget about) came back and Glen handed him Machi's untouched drink. He seemed a bit confused for a second before eventually wandering off with it.
Jeremy had never lost his good spirits, but you couldn't help but notice the way Glen glared at you, and you immediately didn't feel good. You didn't like the thought of staying around him any longer than you needed to.
Machi was quiet again, though the two of you managed to make eye contact again, at which you smiled at her.
She gave you a brief, small nod, seemingly as a way to quietly thank you.
It continued like that, Jeremy becoming subtly but increasingly insistent on you drinking more with him. All you could do was politely laugh it off. Meanwhile there was a one-sided conversation going on between Machi and Glen, who was doing all of the talking while she didn't even make an attempt to pretend to be interested in what he was saying. And then the third guy returned to the table for a brief moment without the drink he'd been handed before, but quickly went back out onto the floor, wandering towards another woman who seemed to be on her own.
You had no clue how long things stayed like this, though the moment felt never-ending.
Jeremy leaned in towards you suddenly, and the way he encroached on your space forced you to back away. Unfortunately, you ended up scooting right up against Machi.
“Ah- sorry,” you said to her.
She shrugged, saying “it's alright.”
Despite the minimal interaction between you two, Glen seemed to get annoyed by it, telling her “you've been talking to her more than you've been talking to me. What's up with that?”
“You haven't been saying anything all that interesting,” Machi told him.
“So that's why you're ignoring me?”
She shrugged.
“Why are you even here if all you're going to do is act like a bitch?” he asked.
“Weren't you the one who dragged me over here?” she asked in response.
He didn't say anything in response to that, but you could tell now that he was getting angry. Even Jeremy seemed worried about where the interaction was going to go, staying quiet while trying to silently tell his friend to stop whatever he was thinking.
You chose then to interject once more, clapping your hands to get everyone's attention.
“Hey! I changed my mind,” you said aloud, turning to Jeremy as you said “I'll do shots as long as everyone else does. Why don't you and your friend go get some for us?”
“…. Uh, yeah, okay.”
Jeremy stood and signaled for Glen to go with him. And after a few seconds, he reluctantly left his seat, walking away with his friend towards the crowded bar to collect the drinks. With them at the bar and the third guy whose name you still didn't know at the other side of the room talking to the same woman you saw him approaching earlier, it was just you and Machi now.
You turned to her as you said “I think he's getting really mad at you.”
She looked over to you before simply replying with a “I noticed.”
“Aren't you worried? What if he tries to do something?” you asked.
“He can try but it won't make much difference.”
“And besides,” she added, “he won't dare to do anything while we're here. Not unless he wants everyone in here to come down on him.”
“But you won't have that safety if he gets you alone,” you pointed out.
“I know.”
If she knew that, then why wasn't she leaving?
Before you were able to say anything along those lines, Machi beat you to it as she said “you should probably head off before they come back.”
Looking back to where the men were standing, she was right that now was a good time to escape. There appeared to be some sort of hold-up at the bar as there were a lot of people clustered around there now; no doubt the poor bartenders were desperately trying to get through all the drink orders quickly to avoid any potential verbal abuse from the patrons who would likely get angry if their order took too long. Jeremy and Glen were still in the same place, both men straining their necks to look over the people in front of them. And the third guy was still talking to that woman, though she was looking increasingly uncomfortable as he leaned in closer to her.
If you wanted to leave without incident, now was your chance.
“Like you said, things could get bad if we end up alone,” Machi added, “I doubt you want to get caught up in that.”
…. She was telling you to leave.
But she'd be staying?
After a moment, you shook your head.
“I don't want to leave yet,” you said.
Machi's gaze narrowed as she looked at you.
“There's no way you're actually interested in either of them,” she said.
“How can you tell?”
“Because I've been feeling the way you cringe every time that one touches you. Unless you like torturing yourself, you have no reason to stay here,” Machi said.
“I have a reason,” you replied.
“And what's that?”
“I don't want to leave you alone with them.”
Machi only raised an eyebrow at you.
You continued, saying “I'm really worried about you now. I don't get why you aren't leaving yourself, but after seeing the way that guy looked at you, I don't feel good at the thought of leaving you alone with him.”
“So you're staying because you're worried about me,” she stated.
You nodded.
She didn't look impressed.
“That's nice of you, I guess, but you should really just leave. Despite how it might look, I can handle those idiots. I don't need someone to look after me,” she told you.
The tone in her voice indicated that she was annoyed with you.
Despite that, you decided to persist, cutting in before she spoke again.
“I'm sorry,” you said, “I'm not trying to annoy you, and I'm definitely not trying to belittle you or anything. I am really worried about what those guys might try to do to you, but that isn't the only reason why I'm staying.”
Machi's expression remained flat as she asked “what's the other reason?”
You ran your fingernail along the side of your glass, leaving marks in the condensation. It was nerve-wracking to try and build up the courage to admit that you were interested in her. After all, she didn't seem impressed with anyone around her; why would she ever be interested in you?
But you might as well shoot your shot, right?
“You seem really interesting and I'd like to get to know you,” you answered.
“Get to know me?” she asked.
“Like a one-on-one over a cup of coffee sometime. Or something else if that's what you'd prefer. Whatever would suit you best.”
You felt the heat building up in your cheeks as you said that and you couldn't make eye contact with her. Just how embarrassed did you look right now?
“….. Oh.”
From the way she said that, it seemed like she understood what you meant, and when you glanced over, you found that she looked a bit surprised at your confession. Machi then looked back to the empty surface of the table in front of her, and you followed suit by turning your gaze to the glass in your hands.
She wasn't upset, was she?
The two of you remained quiet for a few moments within the noisy atmosphere of the bar. The men weren't back yet. Their third was still desperately talking to that poor woman, but the ones who seemed most interested in you and Machi were nowhere to be seen. Though it felt like it was only a matter of time before they came back and you two would be trapped by them again.
In a perfect world, you and Machi would ditch those three and go somewhere else.
It seemed like that might be what ended up happening, as Machi was staying quiet. While she didn't seem as irritated as she had earlier, her reaction didn't necessarily point to anything positive for you.
There wasn't much to be done if she wasn't interested. If that was the case, the best thing you could do was make yourself scarce like she'd been telling you to do.
“I can leave you alone, though,” you said, “I understand if that's what you want.”
You realized after you spoke that your voice had been a bit too quiet in the loud space of the bar and you would likely need to repeat yourself if you wanted to be heard.
But somehow she did hear you as she answered “I don't know now.”
You blinked.
“You don't know?” you asked, confused.
“I don't know if I want you to leave me alone or not.”
“Oh.”
That was a good sign, right? Ah, crap. You'd never felt so flustered around someone else before this.
“I guess it's a bit surprising you'd say that when I've got that one guy hovering around me,” she said.
“I probably wouldn't have if it wasn't for the fact that you really hate him,” you answered.
“I don't hate him; he's not worth hating,” she replied.
“But you don't like him.”
“No.”
Your eyebrows furrowed as you said “I really don't understand why you're hanging around these guys. Why?”
She dodged the question, answering with “we're discussing you, remember?”
“You're not even trying to hide the fact that you're avoiding my question,” you said.
“Nope.”
Machi's tapped her fingers on the table as she asked “still want to get to know me?”
“Yeah,” you answered without hesitation.
“You're weird,” she said.
You shrugged.
“I'll take weird. Being weird isn't always that bad, you said.
“There are things that are worse than being weird,” she agreed, before adding “but I'm not sure why you're so interested in me.”
Probably not a good idea to word-vomit everything you'd been thinking about her. Probably better to say something that made at least a little bit of sense.
“I feel like we might work really well together,” you said.
She hummed.
“Based on what?” Machi asked.
“A hunch.”
It wasn't a great reason, but you couldn't think of anything other than that.
But you noticed the way Machi blinked after you said that.
And then, after a moment, she surprised you when she smiled to herself.
“Did I say something funny?” you asked.
“A little bit."
"Funny in a good way or a bad way?"
"A good way,” Machi answered.
She leaned her head against her hand as she said “I think I'd like to learn more about you, too.”
You felt your heart flutter as she said that and you smiled back at her.
If only that moment wasn't ruined by Glen and Jeremy returning to the table, carrying two small glasses each that were placed down in front of you while they apologized for the hold up. One of those glasses was slid across the surface of the table in front of you, and Jeremy told you to drink up.
Crap. You'd managed to forget how the excuse you'd used to get them away from you. After explicitly asking for drinks, there'd be a bad reaction if you refused them. You glanced over to Machi and found that the pleasant look on her face from earlier was gone, her lips once more set in a small frown. Yet she still picked up the glass that had been given to her. When she noticed you looking at her, she gave you a small nod. So she felt you should drink?
You felt better about it, then. You weren't about to trust Jeremy or his friends, but you could trust Machi.
The alcohol burned as it went down your throat, and the two men laughed at you when you made a face after swallowing it. Some water would've been nice to wash the taste out.
Machi's hand lightly touched your shoulder as she asked if you were alright, and you nodded, making a comment about how you didn't care much for the taste.
Glen seemed to be in a better mood now, which made you feel a bit better. Though with the return of the two men, you were now in the same predicament you'd been in before: unable to leave without causing some sort of issue with them, which by now you definitely didn't want to do. While it was nice to know that Machi was also a little interested in you, you didn't know how the two of you could ditch them. Especially with Machi being weird about her motives. You couldn't even ask about that now with the two of them crowding around you.
Hopefully you could figure something out.
The return to the situation you'd been stuck in for the past half-hour didn't last very long. At the other end of the bar, you heard a woman scream, and like everyone else in the room, your head turned to see the cause of the cry just in time to see a woman slapping that unnamed third guy across the face while yelling some choice words at him.
The two men with you reacted immediately. Glen got up to head to their third's rescue while Jeremy stood and hurriedly told the two of you “we should leave before they kick us out.”
“But we haven't done anything,” you said.
“Yeah, but you're with us,” he answered.
You were ready to argue with him on that point; every part of you was ready to throw him under the bus if just so you could finally get away from them, but Machi stopped you before you could say anything, tapping your shoulder to get your attention.
Looking you in the eye, she said “let's go with him.”
Within an instant all thoughts of arguing with Jeremy went out the window, and you blankly nodded with her suggestion.
There were more raised voices as you got up, and it sounded as though several people were becoming angry and possibly aggressive – you couldn't say for sure, however. You were only focused on the feeling of Machi's hand in yours as the both of you followed the guy out of the bar.
The skin of her palm and fingers felt slightly calloused, you idly thought.
When you snapped back to reality, you and Machi were on the sidewalk standing next to a car. Looking around revealed that Jeremy was heading back to the bar, where it sounded a lot louder now. Had things escalated inside?
All the more reason to leave now.
Turning back towards Machi, whose hand was still in yours, you asked “neither of us like those guys, right?”
She nodded.
“Then why don't we run really fast and get away before they get here?”
“I don't think you can run right now,” she said.
“Then we can walk really fast,” you replied.
Machi smiled a little, but shook her head.
You frowned.
“Did you mean it when you said that you wanted to learn about me?” you asked.
“Yeah, I did,” Machi said.
“Then why-”
“I need to do something first,” she said, “but after I'm done with them, we can ditch them for good.”
You didn't get a chance to ask what she needed them for, because her hand went to cup your cheek and her eyes looked into yours as she spoke again. For some reason, you felt as though you were taking in the information, yet you couldn't hear it. The words were connecting with some part of your subconscious as opposed to your mind; all your brain could focus on was the touch of her skin on yours, the pretty shade of blue of her eyes and the color of her lipstick.
Things that didn't involve Machi were hard to make out now. Your vision was fuzzy and it felt like you had cotton stuffed into your ears, the voices of other people that were also leaving the bar being hard to make out.
But every time Machi spoke, you could hear her clearly. Like when you were ushered into a car by the three men – when did they come back? – and you vaguely felt a hand on your back that shoved you across the seat, you heard her voice loud and clear as she firmly said “don't hit her.”
There was a car ride. Where the men were situated in the car you had no idea. But Machi sat next to you in the back seat, between you and one of the men. Sitting up began to feel strenuous, and you ended up with your cheek resting on her shoulder.
Her hand was still on your arm, reassuring you with soft touches, and you felt better.
By the time the car trip ended, you were having difficulty standing, and Machi needed to help you up the stairs of what appeared to be the upper level of a cheap motel. With the area being relatively quiet, you could hear now that the men were laughing, though their conversations were harder to make out.
The scenery changed again, and now you were inside a poorly lit motel room equipped with two beds that, under normal circumstances, you wouldn't want to even touch. But you didn't protest when Machi led you to one of them and laid you down on top of it, the scratchy bed cover not enough to keep you from the sleep that was now forcing you to close your eyes.
One of the men took issue with that, and you had enough awareness to know when he slapped you across the face. Yet that didn't manage to rouse you.
It felt like whoever had slapped you was about to do it again only to be abruptly stopped.
And then you heard her speak once more before blacking out completely.
“I said don't hit her.”
You didn't recognize the bedroom you woke up in.
After opening your eyes and blearily looking about the room for a few moments, that realization had you sitting upright, looking over yourself while trying to recall your last memory.
Your clothes were still on, so that was a good sign. But when it came to remembering everything that had happened, it became a little more spotty.
You'd been out at a bar. By yourself, which was a dumb move on your part since you attracted a trio of pests. Then you met Machi. You two managed to talk and it seemed like she might like you at least a little. And then you both were outside of the bar at some point.
After that….. Nothing.
You had no memory of what had happened after, where you'd gone from there or how you ended up in a darkened bedroom that seemed slightly cluttered. It was clearly morning, though, if the bits of light coming through the small spaces of the blinds were to be believed.
Where was Machi?
You only needed to look to the side of the bed that you hadn't checked to learn the answer to that. She lay next to you, facing away so all you really saw was messy pink hair sticking out from beneath the covers. But you must have made enough noise when you woke up because she turned towards you moments later, sitting up as well as she said “hey.”
“Hey,” you answered.
“Are you feeling alright?” she asked.
“Yeah, I think,” you said.
“I've got painkillers if you need any,” Machi said.
You didn't answer at first, distracted by the sight of her with her hair down, though you eventually remembered to reply as you said “I'm okay, but thanks.”
You sounded a bit distant, and she seemed to pick up on that.
“Something wrong?” she asked.
“Ah, I guess I'm just a little weirded out that I don't remember much of what happened last night,” you admitted.
“Maybe you drank too much.”
You didn't feel like that was the case, but you couldn't think of anything else. Or maybe it had something to do with the alcohol those guys had gotten for you.
Oh, right. Those three.
“What happened to those guys?” you asked her.
“They were at that motel last I saw,” Machi answered.
“But we're not at the motel.”
“No, this is my place.”
“But how did we end up here?” you asked.
“They were barely in a better state than you,” she said, “I slipped out with you once I saw a good opportunity.”
“Oh. Okay.”
They must have been more shitfaced than you realized. Didn't you get into a car with one of them driving? That was a bit more scary to think about, what might have happened if they were really that inebriated.
Luckily you were here now.
Then you added “thanks for taking me with you. I hope it wasn't too much trouble to drag me around with you.”
“It wasn't. But if you feel bad, you can make it up to me by having that one-on-one conversation you want over breakfast,” she said.
“Sounds good to me.”
With that, both of you were prompted to leave the bed, and as Machi made her way towards the bedroom door, instinct had you pulling the covers back over once you were standing, wanting to have the bed looking somewhat presentable at the very least.
Didn't you end up on a different bed at first last night?
You paused as bits and pieces came back to mind. An uncomfortable bed with an equally uncomfortable sheets. Raised voices. A scuffle.
Blood.
… When did that happen?
Machi called out to you, and you turned to her.
“Did you get hurt last night?” you asked.
“No.”
Her tone was nonchalant.
You questioned her again as you asked “did I get hurt?”
“No.”
“…. That's weird.”
“What is?”
“I feel like I remember seeing a lot of blood at one point,” you said.
Spattered across the floor and dripping down the walls, almost everything in sight coated in red. Even you – you could feel it sticking to the exposed parts of your skin, on your face, and you accidentally got a taste when you ran your tongue over your lips. It didn't feel good, and the smell in the air was overwhelming, like the particles were clogging up your nose. You made a move to get up from the bed you were laying on, wanting to leave.
Someone set their sights on you as soon as you did that.
“You didn't see any blood last night; you probably just had a nightmare,” Machi told you.
Ah. That made sense. After all, you'd looked over yourself when you woke up, and you would've noticed if there had been any blood on you. But it was just a nightmare, so it was better not to dwell on it.
That was such a weird thing to dream about, though.
You were walking towards her when another thought came to mind, that question that she'd avoided answering.
“Hey, you never told me what it was you wanted from those three. Why did you need to go with them?” you asked.
Machi waited until you had reached her, and this time she held out her hand to cup your cheek, her blue eyes staring directly into yours.
Blue eyes stared down at you from where you lay on the bed, a hand resting lightly on your chest as she pushed you back down. There was a groaning coming from behind her on the second bed, and if you were able to tear your gaze away from her, you might have seen the figures that were sprawled across it.
But you were too focused on everything about her: her hand traveling up to stroke your hair, the pretty shade of blue of her eyes and the deep red color that now covered her lips and dripped down from her mouth.
“It isn't important, so don't ask about it again,” Machi told you.
Within a moment, all of those thoughts were locked away into the deepest recesses of your mind, willed to never surface for as long as possible. You smiled at her as you cheerfully told her “okay!”
There was warmth in your heart when you saw that soft smile of hers once more.
the waitress | vh
part two here!
Vinnie sat at the corner booth of a bustling restaurant, surrounded by his friends, but his mind was far from the conversation. He poked at his food with his fork, his eyes occasionally drifting toward the girl who was waiting tables across the room. Y/N, her name tag read. She had been their waitress earlier, and from the moment she approached their table, Vinnie had been hooked.
Her smile was soft but genuine, and the way she moved around the room with effortless grace drew his attention more than anything else. He admired how she seemed to light up even in the chaos of the busy restaurant, taking orders, balancing trays, and still managing to stay composed. Every time she spoke to them, Vinnie had been too nervous to say more than a quiet "thank you," which his friends teased him for.
"Dude, you're barely eating," Jett said, nudging him playfully. "What's up?"
"Yeah, you've been staring at the waitress since we got here," Eamon added with a smirk.
Vinnie blushed, caught in the act. "Nah, I'm just tired," he mumbled, trying to brush it off. But everyone at the table knew what was really going on.
"Why don't you just talk to her?" he suggested, grinning.
Vinnie shook his head. "I'm not going to bother her while she's working. Besides, what would I even say?"
"Maybe start with your name," Jett joked, earning a round of laughter from the group. Vinnie just smiled weakly, his gaze flickering back to Y/N as she took an order at another table. He wanted to talk to her, but the idea of stumbling through a conversation and making a fool of himself kept him quiet.
When the meal was over, and the check arrived, Vinnie discreetly pulled out a few extra bills from his wallet, adding a generous tip before they left. He watched as Y/N collected the check from their table, her eyes widening slightly at the amount. She looked around the restaurant as if wondering who had left it, but Vinnie was already out the door.---A couple of days passed, but Vinnie couldn't stop thinking about her. He replayed their brief interactions in his mind, mentally kicking himself for not at least trying to talk to her. The tip had been nice, sure, but that wasn't enough. He wanted to know her, hear her voice without the buffer of an order in between.
So, he made a decision.
One evening, after work, Vinnie found himself walking back into the same restaurant. This time, he was alone. His heart pounded as he entered, scanning the room. There she was—Y/N, still busy with tables but moving with that same easy grace.
He found a small table in the corner and sat down, fiddling nervously with the menu. He hadn't thought this through. What if she didn't even remember him? What if she was too busy to notice him? He wasn't sure why he felt so nervous, but something about her made him want to try.
A few minutes passed, and then, there she was—standing at his table with that same soft smile."Hi, welcome back! What can I get for you tonight?" she asked, her voice gentle.
Vinnie swallowed hard, suddenly unsure of how to even form a sentence. "Uh, just...just water for now. Please," he managed to say, mentally cursing himself for how awkward he sounded.
Y/N nodded and walked away to get his drink. Vinnie's hands fidgeted with the silverware on the table, his heart racing. When she returned with his water, she placed it in front of him and lingered for a moment.
"You were here the other day, right? With your friends?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.
Vinnie's eyes widened in surprise. "Uh, yeah. That was me."
Y/N smiled, her eyes sparkling a bit. "I thought so. You left a really nice tip. Thank you for that."
"Oh, uh...yeah, no problem. I just...wanted to," Vinnie stammered, feeling his face heat up.
She laughed softly, clearly amused by his awkwardness but not in a mean way. "Well, it was appreciated. So, just water tonight, or are you hungry too?"
Vinnie cleared his throat, trying to gather some courage. "Actually, I came back because I wanted to talk to you," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "But I didn't know how."
Y/N blinked, surprised, but her smile didn't fade. "Talk to me? About what?"
"About...uh, I don't know. You just seem really cool, and I wanted to get to know you," Vinnie said, feeling like he was tripping over every word. "But I'm terrible at this kind of stuff."
Her smile grew, and she pulled out a chair, sitting down across from him. "Well, lucky for you, I'm off in about an hour. If you can wait, maybe we can talk then?"
Vinnie's heart skipped a beat. He nodded quickly, a grin spreading across his face. "Yeah, I can wait."
Y/N laughed again, her eyes meeting his. "Okay, it's a deal." She stood up, giving him one last glance before heading off to finish her shift.
For the rest of the evening, Vinnie couldn't stop smiling. He had no idea what he'd say when she sat down with him later, but for the first time, he wasn't scared. He was excited.
After what felt like both an eternity and a split second, Y/N's shift finally came to an end. Vinnie had spent the last hour anxiously sipping his water, glancing at the door every time someone entered, as if he might lose his nerve and bolt at any second. But he stayed, waiting for her to finish up.
Y/N came out of the back of the restaurant, now wearing a casual jacket over her uniform and looking just as effortlessly cool as she had while working. Her hair was tied back loosely, and she still had that soft smile on her face that had captivated him the first time he saw her.
"Ready?" she asked, walking up to his table. Vinnie quickly stood up, nodding a little too eagerly.
"Yeah, I'm ready," he replied, rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
She laughed softly. "Relax, it's just me. Let's go."
They walked out of the restaurant together, the night air cool and refreshing compared to the warmth of the bustling dining room. The streets were quieter now, lit only by the soft glow of streetlights and the occasional car passing by. Y/N glanced at Vinnie as they strolled side by side, and he couldn't help but wonder if she noticed how nervous he was.
"So, Vinnie, right?" Y/N asked, breaking the silence. "Tell me something about yourself. What do you do?"
Vinnie scratched the back of his head, trying to play it cool. "Yeah, uh, I do content creation. Like videos and streaming. It's fun, but sometimes a lot."
Y/N raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh, so you're one of those internet-famous guys? Should I be asking for an autograph?"
Vinnie chuckled, his cheeks flushing. "Nah, nothing like that. I mean, people watch, but I'm just doing what I enjoy. What about you? How'd you end up here?"
She shrugged, kicking a small pebble as they walked. "I moved here a couple of months ago, just needed a fresh start, you know? Working at the restaurant's been alright, but I'm figuring things out."
They reached a small park nearby, its benches lined with trees swaying gently in the breeze. Without really thinking about it, they found themselves sitting down on one of the benches, side by side. The park was peaceful, the only sounds coming from distant cars and the occasional chirp of crickets.
"I've got to say," Vinnie began, turning to face her, "I'm really glad I came back tonight."
Y/N smiled softly, her eyes twinkling in the dim light. "I'm glad you did too. I was wondering about you after the first time. I thought you'd never say anything."
"Me? I was terrified to even look at you," Vinnie admitted with a nervous laugh. "I didn't want to bother you while you were working."
"I get it, but you wouldn't have bothered me," she said, leaning in just a little. "I'm glad you decided to come back."
The night air seemed to settle around them, and they fell into a comfortable silence. Vinnie's heart was still racing, but it wasn't out of nerves anymore—it was something else, something that felt right.
"So, what now?" Y/N asked, her voice soft, almost playful.
Vinnie looked at her, really looked at her this time, without the nerves clouding his mind. She was everything he had imagined from that first moment and more—kind, funny, easy to talk to. He wanted to know everything about her.
"I don't know," he replied, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "I was thinking maybe we could grab coffee sometime? Or, I don't know, whatever you'd want to do."
Y/N laughed softly. "Coffee sounds good. But maybe next time you won't wait so long to talk to me?"
Vinnie grinned, feeling a rush of warmth. "Deal."
They sat there a little longer, talking about anything and everything—work, life, the strange paths that had brought them both to that very moment. And as they talked, the night seemed to stretch out, peaceful and full of promise.
By the time they finally got up to leave, Vinnie knew this wouldn't be the last time he'd see Y/N. He wasn't sure where things would go from here, but for once, he didn't feel the pressure to know. He was just happy to have taken that first step, to have broken through his fear and started something new. Something real.
And when they parted ways, he couldn't help but smile to himself, knowing that he'd be seeing her again soon.
Can I request one where Lampert and reader were friends with Kasper aka infected before he got well infected, basically the reader kept hanging out with infected and ended up getting infected too and they end up going to Lampert because they are still them atleast for a bit. angst definitely but you could make it have a fluffy ending
"I put more tape on those posters, Kasper. I'm sure Poptart will turn up soon."
"Thanks for doing that, bro. But...who's that?"
"Huh? Poptart is-"
"No, "Kasper". Isn't he like...the friendly ghost or somethin'?"
"Um..last I checked that was your name."
"Nah I'm pretty sure it's Infected." Kasper, or rather "Infected" as he apparently started calling himself, just shook his head before turning back his computer. He was in the midst of a gaming session, the round beginning as he tried staying focused.
You, on the other hand, just sat on the beanbag chair in his room, confused as all hell.
Ever since he caught that weird virus and brought it back to the apartment...it seemed to be getting worse. It began as a common sinus infection that made him lethargic, with half the stuff he was saying nearly indiscernible. He denied being sick enough to warrant a doctor visit, though, and figured it'll eventually pass.
And as his neighbor and best friend, you thought that giving him space was the best thing to do until he felt better.
At some point, you noticed a gradient creature with an unpleasant color scheme wandering in the dark alleys and down the hallway. It never spoke a word, making you wonder why it was here or if Kasper's illness had something to do with its appearance, but not even he was sure about it.
Then Poptart, his beloved cat, went missing a few days later. He knocked on your door crying and panicking the following morning, clearly scared out of his mind as he woke up to find its food bowl untouched.
That led you both to believe someone kidnapped the poor thing, so together you put up missing posters around the apartment complex, hoping somebody knew their whereabouts. Kasper had his suspicions that the gradient might've had been involved, but as off-putting as it seemed...you couldn't accuse it of anything without solid proof.
Last time you saw Unpleasant, it went onto the elevator, so god only knows what floor it could be on now.
Until it came back, you decided to stay with Kasper and look for Poptart, making sure nobody tore down the posters.
At the current moment, however, as you watched him game, you were a bit grossed out to see the pink snot dribbling from his nose--but when he raised his arm to rub it on his sleeve, you saw something even more alarming:
Pink-checkered textures covering part of his skin, briefly glitching before they vanished.
You got up from your seat and approached him, tapping his shoulder. "Kasper? I saw something weir-"
"I need to focus--oh no, no, no, N0!! My str34k!!"
You froze for a moment, concerned by the stark change in his voice--as though it was ran through a bitcrusher--before frowning as you saw him staring at his screen now, shoulders slumped at the "Defeat" message displayed across it.
"Awh man..." He whined, now sounding somewhat normal.
"Sorry, but..I just wanna be sure you're okay. At least keep a tissue handy, my guy. You're getting it all over your setup." Your eyes surveyed his desk for anything that could be a good tissue substitute--besides magazines.
"I told you, bruh, I feel fi...ah...ahhhCHOO!!" Kasper turned to sneeze directly onto the floor, where a few tiles began flickering pink...before you saw that same checkered texture from before.
But your gamer friend, totally unaware, just turned to stare you with a biggest grin on his face. "See? My sinuses are clear now!"
Then he sniffled again, sulking as his nose betrayed him.
"Look, this virus is turning into something bigger. It's gone beyond a small sinus infection." You huffed. "A virus wouldn't make you forget your own name. A virus wouldn't turn your carpet into that." Pointing to the glitchy texture that showed up, you made sure he was looking at it.
He blinked. "I did that?"
"You need a doctor, Kasper. And I will drag you to one if I have t-"
"For the gazillionth time, that's not my name!!" He suddenly snapped, punching the desk with anger you've never seen before. "It's "Infected"! How have we been friends this long if you can't even remember my ####### n4m3?! $w34r 1'll b4n u fr0m my lif3 if y0u d0n't st0p!"
You stared at him in shock, taking a step back as you saw his fist nearly glitch through the desk.
What was happening to him?
Did the virus force him to call himself "Infected"? Was it making him refuse to accept any help?
You had no idea, and it was scaring you.
"...s0rry.."
"It's..fine-"
"N0. It isn't.." His shoulders slumped again and he looked down at his hands, wondering what was wrong with him. "I...I didn't m34n t0 3xpl0d3 0n y0u. I..I just..."
Then he trailed off, staying unusually silence for several long moments.
That gave you an idea. You had to test something.
"Hey, just amuse me for a second...do you remember this guy?"
Infected raised his head, watching you pick up the picture frame that sat beside his computer. It was photo of him and Lampert--the living lamp robot you two met at ROKEA years ago.
Ever since the day he came to life, you three were the best of friends, always hanging out on each other's floors, trading stuff, making friendship bracelets, and playing games. You and Kasper were the ones to introduce Lampert to all the cool things the world had to offer..and inadvertently turned him into a bit of a germaphobe once he discovered things like sickness.
Still, you three did everything together. The day you took that picture was most memorable--especially the embarrassment of realizing the arrows on their shirts were facing opposite directions, which you only realized after the photo was developed and printed.
Oh, well.
Then after Kasper got sick, Lampert's been keeping his distance, and oftentimes things became tense in the elevator when the former didn't cover his mouth when sneezing or coughing.
But now that his infection was worsening, you weren't sure if the lamp would wanna see him anymore.
Or even...if he recognized the person in the photo at all.
You could tell by the way he took it from your hands and stared at it for some time, eyebrows furrowed with confusion, that he was starting to lose his memory.
"This l4mp dude..I think..I've s33n him on th4t elev4t0r.."
"We've known him for years, Kas. You and I..pretty much brought him to life." You frowned, worried that he was starting to forget him..
How long will it be before he forgot you, too?
"Don't tell me, after everything we've done together, you're forgetting about him--about us."
"I..I...I w4nn4 r3m3mb3r..but..." His hands began trembling, which you were oblivious to as your frustration began to rise once more.
"But nothing. You have to try. Forget your infection and think to when we last saw him. Where were we going?"
"..I don't...kn0w..."
"Yes you do. Who was in the elevator with us besides us three?"
"I h4v3 n0 id34..st0p it.." His voice shook.
"Kasper. You need to-"
"ST0P S4Y1NG TH4T N4M3!! Y0U'R3 N0T H3LPING!!" He shouted, and in that same moment the frame glitched, becoming covered in checkered textures. It felt like a sharp pain that pierced his hands, causing him to yelp and drop it to the floor, where it turned back to normal after it cracked.
You scrambled to pick it up without thinking, afraid he'd cut himself if he tried getting it, only to turn it over and discover that the photo inside was now ruined.
Kasper's face had been ripped out, as though the virus was trying its hardest to erase him and make him believe he had this random picture of some guy and a lamp robot for no reason...
'It's destroying everything he touches..'
Then your attention went to your fingers, which have turned pink. You gasped and quickly put the frame down, staring at your hand in horror.
It was already spreading to your wrist.
"W04h! A-Are y0u 0k4y??" Infected jumped out of his chair on instinct, unsure of what to do but wanting to help in some way.
But the moment he reached for you, you stepped away, clutching your wrist and scowling deeply at him. "Stay back! Now you got me infected, too, you jerk!"
"......I....I-I didn't m34n it.." His voice trembled, sounding more and more broken up as tears filled his vision. "I'm s0rry...I'm...s0 s0rry. I sw34r..I-I'm n0t d0ing it 0n purp0s3." Clutching his arm, he fidgeted with his sleeve, looking down at the ground in shame. "I'm sc4r3d, [y/n].."
Slowly, but surely, your gaze softened upon realizing how hurt he looked, and the fact that your insults weren't helping matters. You knew the risk to hanging around him when he was sick, so....how could you blame him?
Even he didn't know what was going on with him.
"I...I'm sorry for yelling. I know you didn't mean it. It's alright. We can see if Dr. Retro knows anything about this. She might have a cure or some medicine."
"......"
"Ka--Infected.."
He perked up, seeing you stepping closer. You knew there was no use in keeping distant from him now, since you caught the sickness, too.
With a small sigh, you patted his shoulder. "I'm not mad, okay? It's my fault for touching that picture frame. But I promise..we'll find a way to deal with this. I'll try to remember stuff for both of us...that is..if it doesn't also take my memor-"
He abruptly flung forward to wrap his arms around you, crushing you in a hug. Despite him sniffling like crazy (and feeling sweaty and gross), you returned it, letting his head fall against your shoulder.
He needed this.
You can't even remember the last time you two hugged, or did any of those cool handshakes he taught you.
"You know we'll have to tell Lampert, right?"
"Mhm.."
"...you want me to tell him?"
"Y34h.."
"Okay, next time the elevator comes, I'll hop on it." You patted his back, already sounding congested yourself, but you tried to ignore it.
Instead, you dread what you're gonna say to Lampert.
'He's gonna be pissed...'
...........
3008.
No, the Regretevator didn't have 3000 floors, but that's what Lampert's home floor was called anyways.
You weren't here to ponder why it was given that name, as the doors opened and you stepped out into a familiar place. A place you'd almost call a "second home".
Unfortunately, you were almost rudely pushed to the ground by some of the occupants--all who were rushing into the depths of ROKEA to find him.
Whoever made the rules apparently decided that should be the "objective" of this floor. But you knew where Lampert liked to hang out best, somewhere only you and Kasper would be able to find him.
So while the players scurried around like rats, racing against the clock, you headed straight to your friend, hoping you'll get to explain yourself without him freaking out.
As expected, you found him standing perfectly still among some lamps, switching his light off after realizing it was only you approaching. "Hi, [y/n]." He greeted with a small smile. "Any luck finding Poptart yet?"
"No." You shook your head, absentmindedly tugging on the glove that covered your arm. "Kas has been worried sick, but I put fresh tape on the posters..so...we'll see if that little kitty turns up."
"I hope so, too. Say..what's with the gloves and mask?"
"Oh these? Um-"
"Were you just cleaning up his apartment with those?" He asked, before sighing and shaking his head. "I hope you changed them. Otherwise they're just as unsanitary as-"
"No, no. I wasn't cleaning. I just...just..."
Your nose began to feel itchy.
Lampert just raised an eyebrow. "Go on."
"I..just..ah...HI-CHOO!" Turning away immediately to cover your sneeze, you were grateful that this place didn't allow it to echo through the air...otherwise you would've easily given away your location.
But after hearing him gasp, you looked back to see him take a huge step away from you, scowling. "Y-You're sick?! Why did you come here?!"
"That's what I was getting to. I...I just wanted you to know that I....caught whatever Kasper had." You briefly removed your glove, revealing the pink that was now almost covering your entire forearm.
Least to say, he was mortified. "No..what do you mean you caught it?? I told you not to hang around him until he felt better!"
"I thought he was getting better..but he's not. It's worse than we realized."
"Well are you surprised?" He scoffed. "He refuses to see a doctor and doesn't seem to care if-"
"It's the virus itself, Lampert. It's taking over his mind."
"...what do you mean?"
"He can't even remember his own name. He got angry and told me to call him "Infected". And even worse? He's...forgetting about all the stuff we did together. He could barely even remember you."
"That's...impossible. An ordinary virus wouldn't give people amnesia!"
"That's what I said, too. But..this clearly isn't ordinary. I was gonna go visit Dr. Retro. If she catches this in the early stages, maybe she can figure out some cure for it. But..I-I just didn't know how fast it would spread. So..." You sighed. "..I wanted to see you first. Just in case I end up forgetting about you, too...which I hope doesn't happen."
"I...understand, but you really should've went to her first." He simply responded, still in utter distraught as he stared at you.
As though you were the disease itself.
Why did this have to happen to his two best friends?
Did some higher being just...hate him specifically? All because he's a little wary of germs?
"I'm gonna go there next." You nodded, making sure the mask was snug on your face, but in that same moment, you heard somebody shout that they found Lampert, and you huffed. "Well shit..guess you gotta come, too."
"As long as you keep your distance, that's fine. Nobody else got sick from you, right?"
As much as his question hurt a little, it was a reasonable one to ask. So you just shook your head. "No. I'll stay in my corner and you can stay in yours."
"Fair enough. I just hope it's not too cramped.."
Nodding, you both headed back towards the elevator, keeping a good amount of distance between yourselves.
There was a time where you would've been walking side-by-side with him and Kasper, sometimes linking arms and bumping shoulders (which even the lamp tolerated back then), and you hoped that maybe one day..you'll be able to go back to that.
For now, though, at least he was willing to share a lobby with you and talk about what's been going on at ROKEA just like old times.
So this virus didn't completely ruin your friendship yet...not that you planned on allowing that to happen.
No way.
You'll find a way to beat this.
You had to.
cw: one cuss word maybe one or two more, cute shit, pet names: amor, bubs are used
+
It was a night out with some of the boys to blow off some steam, and of course Nico insisted that you accompanied him. You didn't mind catching up with the boys in person and having your man by your side, you only got uncomfy when Nico got a bit too comfortable in front his teammates.
Don't me get wrong, you loved when Nico showed affection but you knew PDA made other people uncomfortable and Luke who was sitting across from you, made it very clear.
Nico had kissed your temple when you answered Jack with a witty remark, "You guys are gross..." Luke had whispered to himself hoping no one heard,
"What was that little brother?" Jack nudged Luke
"Nothing"
"No I'm pretty sure you said something." Jack was definitely not going to let this go
You heard what Luke said and laughed at his demeanor. You tried to slyly remove Nico's arm around your shoulder because of so. Nico reluctantly removed his arm halfway and gave you a confused look.
"Sorry Luke" You felt awkward for making Luke uncomfortable because of Nico's affection
"Nah, don't say sorry. What did you say Luke?" Jack had a mischievous smile on
"What's going on?" Nico who had oblivious of the whole situation just butted in
"Luke hates seeing you guys happy." Jack says flatly.
"That is not true." Luke raised his voice in his defense
"I'm so confused" Nico went to wrap his arm around your shoulders but you dodged his attempt. His brown eyes give you sad look,
"Sorry Neeks. Luke doesn't like it when couples show affection, I think." you say
"He's just lonely he doesn't have someone" Jack couldn't help be an annoying big brother
Luke rolled his eyes, "It's just that," he sighed "when you guys are together you are always touchy, Nico always has his arm around you and no offense but it's something I don't want to see." he said softly as possible to mean no offense but everyone started to laugh
"Sorry Luke, I try to back down the PDA but your captain couldn't care less." you said
"That's not true, you are always touchy too, not just me." Nico retaliated making you flustered but also defensive,
"Nu uh, you are way more affectionate than me."
"That's a lie." He unconsciously lies. Truth is that the man can't wait to get home to meet your lips for nth time of the day. He can't wait for you to wake up in the morning so he can finally cuddle you without disrupting your sleep. He can never wait to physically touch you in any possible way.
"I bet you guys can't go three days without touching each other." Luke lets out before quickly taking a sip from his drink
"I think I can" you said with confidence, you knew Nico would be on the brink of death but with confidence he also agrees.
"Please make the bet so I don't have to see that" Luke makes a hand waving motion towards y'all. You turn to Nico, who was already looking at you, to see if he would be willing to do this challenge,
"Deal?" you ask with your hand out
"Deal." he shook your hand having no idea how difficult this was going to be.
Conversation continued and not even two minutes later Nico went to put his arm around your shoulder but tried to save face by placing his arm on your chair.
"That's cheating" the Hughes brother said unison,
"I'm not touching her!" Nico said with a grin on his face, this was going to be a challenge alright.
+
The ride home to your shared apartment proved how things were going to be difficult, especially on Nico's side.
"Get your hand off me, sir." you removed Nico's heavy hand from your thigh to the gear stick.
He gave you a very puzzling look, "Oh come on. I thought we were joking, not actually doing the challenge!"
"You shook my hand and we made a deal. You can't back out now." Participating in this challenge was pure entertainment to see Nico break under non-physical-pressure.
"But it's kind of dumb no? We won't see Luke together for the next days so there's no point!"
"The point is to prove Luke wrong even if he's not here, and by the looks of it, you are already struggling." You saw how Nico's right hand has moved from where you placed it, leaning over the console for your touch.
And he takes notice too, "No I'm not." he retreats his hand back to the steering wheel.
"Yes you are." you squint your eyes at your boyfriend, knowing this is going to be fun.
"C'mon Neeks its only three days, it's just for fun. A little test to test our patience." you turned your whole body leaning a little bit forward to convince him to this endeavor.
At a red light, he turns to you, eyeing your lips and asking, "Can we start the challenge tomorrow?"
"Nope." you boop his nose as you plop down into your seat.
He mumbles something is German, probably about how stupid the challenge is, but all you can do is smile all giddy.
+
Nico's clinginess and affection was something to get used to when you first started dating. It was surprising to see someone to be so affectionate towards you all of the time. Soon you realized that the man was madly in love with you and this is how he showed it. Even in mundane moments like brushing your teeth before bed, he was always there.
After arriving home, both of your got dressed in your jammies, and went to use the bathroom following your nightly routine. You tried to brush your teeth in peace but you could't ignore the stare of your lover through the mirror, next to you doing the same thing.
"Stop looking at me" you said with a mouth full of foamy toothpaste,
He softly grabs your waist to pull you aside, he spits into the shared sink, "So I can't look at you now?" He essentially losses the challenge now that he has both of his arms around your waist with his head on your shoulder.
"Not like you're going to pounce at me at any second, no." Even though you felt at home in his embrace you sneaked out of his arms leaving you outside the bathroom. He leans on the door frame blocking the entrance from you entering,
"If you don't move, I'll swallow this toothpaste."
He reluctantly moves as you quickly move to spit into the sink but when you turn around, you find him blocking the door again.
"Move, please" you ask in an overly-friendly tone hoping he would budge but doesn't.
He puckers out his lips waiting for you to give him what he wants, completely forgetting or caring about the challenge.
You sigh then come up to him, grabbing the back of his neck to pull him in, "Close your eyes." he obliges, still having his minty lips puckered trying to hold back a smile. You lean in, not towards his mouth, but near his ear, "En tus sueños mi amor“ you whispered with a smirk. Catching his body slack, you escaped the bathroom leaving him dumbfounded.
+ +
As fun it is to tease Nico, you were definitely missing his touch, but that was quickly washed away when you saw him become frustrated.
He was about to leave for his morning practice but of course, because he's so accustomed to daily rituals, he expects a hug and very passionate kiss, which you don't return, in return he becomes upset.
"I don't like this challenge." he pouts with his bag over his shoulder,
"I'm sorry bubs," you ruffle his hair to soothe him, "Just think of how better our kisses will be after two days."
"I wan't to kiss you now." your heart ached seeing sadness in his eyes, but a challenge is a challenge, and you were not going to lose.
"You can kiss me when you get back." you say with an innocent looking smile and Nico just sighs. He knows you won't kiss him now so he walks away defeated before saying I love you, and you say it back. At least you said it back is what he thinks as he leaves.
+
When Nico returns home he makes it clear he doesn't give a damn about the challenge. He finds you in the shared bedroom reading one of your current obsessions.
"Catch me" he warns you to save your book, as he slowly falls on top of you on the bed. He has you trapped under his body weight,
"Nico get off of me!" you struggle under his weight as he becomes very still.
"No. You have to kiss me first." he mumbles in the soft pillows.
"I can't breathe." you intentionally ignored his request and continued to struggle under him trying hard to not laugh.
"I'm not moving." he breathes into your neck,
"Nico Hischier get off me!" you raise your voice and he props onto his hands hovering over you. He watches how you avoid his eyes, pulling in your lips to hold back a smile.
He leans in to kiss you but you turn your head away making him huff in annoyance,
“You promised to give me a kiss.”
“But you’re sweaty,” you fidget with his dangling gold chain, avoiding his eye contact but he just rolls his eyes to your excuse.
He gets off of you and sits next you, “If I take a shower, will you kiss me then?” the desperation in his voice makes your face warm,
“Maybe” you squeak out before running to the living room. You know he doesn’t follow you when you hear the shower running.
When he’s all dried off and dressed he’s determined to get a kiss but starts to question if this all because of the dumb challenge or something else.
He plops on the coach next to you, resting his chin on your shoulder looking up to you, “Ich liebe dich” he says.
You just hum in acknowledgment which plasters a face full of confusion on him. He moves back to get a better understanding on what the hell is going on,
“Nahh, say it back.” He leans back still with his eyebrows scrunched but reaches his patience when you say,
“Yeah same.”
“Is this a part of the challenge or did I do something wrong?” his serious tone makes you choke out a giggle
“The is not funny,” his eyes finally catch yours when you look at him,
“It kinda is,” you say holding back your big grin
You felt bad for the guy so you gave him a very simple and final ultimatum, "Admit you’re more affecionate than me then you can kiss me.”
His jaw drops ever so slightly baffled that that was all he had to say to earn a kiss. But his body moves faster than his brain and goes straight in for another kiss. Your hand stops him as you laugh, “Did you not hear what I just said?”
“I’m more affectionate.” He says quickly and flatly, no room for argument.
“Obviamente.” you say as you pull him in for what he was starving for not even for 24 hours.
After a few minutes of a quick makeout sesh, you mention how Luke would be so disappointed. Both of you didn’t even last a day, let alone three. “I don’t care what he thinks. Actually, I’ll talk with him next time I see him. It’s his fault you were being mean to me.”
Oh boy, poor Luke, you thought.
The Fingernail Issue
c: gojo wasn't told of toji having a sibling leading him to wonder what kind of brother toji fushiguro was
c/w: Reader is adopted here, modern au, fluff, Toji's family are not a bunch of assholes, Reader is Toji's adoptive sibling, platonic and crack and humour ig
a/n: thought about this while making potato chips
"You have a sibling!? Why haven't you told us?"
"There was no need."
Toji slurped his noodles, ignoring the groan that he got from Gojo Satoru. Being in the same club with Gojo Satoru and a few other extras proved to be quite fun. He thought joining the basketball club with egocentric people would be infuriating but in this little group he managed to make friends suprisingly. He let Sukuna take his shrimp while he shrugs, right now; Gojo was quite adamant on getting to know his kid sibling that was in the same school as him, just two grades lower than him.
Geto slips in a joke if he wanted to court them or something since the white haired male next to him who was currently miming a camera with his two hands. Just the thought of another Fushiguro gave him the heebie jeebies, he was already offputting with how crass his personality was, his sibling would probably be the same. He gagged to Geto's comment, his hand on his chin when he thought about it.
"Unless, your sibling isn't a carbon copy of you and is way more better than you.."
Sukuna waved his hand to deny that sentence with a smirk and it received a nudge from Toji, they had this whispering thing they had going on to keep secrets away from Gojo and they giggle like two middle schoolers finding out about a dirty secret.
"Oh so you've met them, Ryoumen?" Nanami sipped his coffee, he had his notebook infront of him, consistently taking notes since he'd miss a day of school and its already biting him in the ass. The pink haired male shrugged, copying the same move as his friend that made Gojo click his tongue to.
"If you don't like them, why are you even curious?"
Gojo defended himself, "Its not that I dont like them, I barely met them. Its just that.."
Without noticing he painted an image of you even before seeing you in the flesh so maybe you weren't that bad. Gojo just cant imagine Toji having a sibling, would he be a doting brother? A strict one? Geto had stated stuff about dating and he barely batted an eye so it looked like to Gojo that Toji didnt really care about you but the next words that Toji said irked him.
"You look like you have a lot on your mind, Gojo. Mind sharing?"
Toji finished his noodles but thought of leaving some of the soup at the bottom, thats where all the seasonings sink to. Knocking his chopsticks into the bowl, he leaned forward to hear what Gojo had say. Gojo was the type to walk past the obvious and it was funny. Seeing THE Gojo Satoru struggle was entertaining.
"Nah, I'm good, I'll just see them myself." He bit on his lollipop, crunching up the last bits down his throat.
"Good luck finding them then," The black haired man got up from his seat with his tray and Gojo gasped. He hasn't even finished asking questions but knowing him, he loved avoiding questions like some personal torture he lets people go through.
"I'm bringing my mom to the clinic so I gotta run," Toji gruffly said, grabbing his jacket and he was so fast to slip away.
"Hey! Are you sure you're not using that as an excuse again? Me and Suguru legit saw Mrs. Fushiguro doing laps the other day!"
"Even did some cardio too.." Geto chuckled, remembering how Toji's mom proudly confessed how she had done a lot of stuff in one day. It made him smile while Gojo was sulking like a poodle beside him. Sukuna cleared his throat from eating and cleaned his plates up. He glanced at Gojo mischeviously.
"Well.. if you want to know one thing.." Sukuna dragged the silence a little longer before chuckling. "They're a bit of the same."
Sukuna too walks away, waving slyly to meet up for practise soon and Gojo scoffed. That sleazy bastard thought that information on you was new.
"That was sooo lame."
-------------
Toji had his hands on the wheel, listening to his mother talk about what should they have for dinner. In between talking about your favourites and if his dad was gonna come home, she recalled the days where you first came home.
Mama Fushiguro liked recalling this a lot and when many people were bored by this tale by now, Toji showed interest. He didn't admit though when he finally had a kid sibling in his house, he was actually pretty elated. The house was quiet on its own with himself but with you, it was like he had a friend.
When you are adopted, his peace wasn't disrupted at all but it was like yours was. You were in a completely new environment but not unfamiliar. You had been fostered before but he didn't pry into your past, there was no need to he thinks. It was normal for you to be distant even if his parents try to pry you out your shell like a cat with its nails stuck on the walls. You claw back to your comfort and wasn't all that talkative.
He didn't force you to talk or advise you on anything because it was clear you could handle yourself, you just like to keep to yourself more than his parents. But knowing this doesn't make the bond between you and him all the more stumped. He did attempted to eventhough his mother would nag about how it was barely anything; calling you down for dinner wasn't talking and hell, task dividing either!
Going to the same college didn't made you two any closer. He thought asking you about school was corny and didn't bother, he didn't really think much of it. By the tired look in your face, it was more than enough to know what you've been through but he was sure you stayed out of trouble because he made sure of that.
He took his usual route back to the car but realise you were a bit late. You weren't usually tardy, he was and even so you would still wait for him out of courtesy. He spun back around and thought of fetching you in an instant. Maybe now was the time he would open his mouth and talk to you.
There was a bit of a ruckus in one of the classrooms. If he didn't had sharp ears then he would've walked right past but that was one of the subject classes you attend and peeped in.
It was horrid.
He saw a bunch of hooligans messing up your notebooks and scraping it against the ground with their shoes. He recognized some of them as they squat at your level and taunt you.
It was some people in his fan club or whatever and he heard bits of how someone this puny couldn't be his sibling. You were clutching onto a bag and it wasn't just your bag that you were concerned of, the laptop that his parents gave were in it and the bag slides clean off and you were only protecting the laptop with your life. You didn't mind your keychains being ripped off and tossed about but amongst the stomping, the laptop was clutched tightly in your arms.
"Hey!"
His shout boomed across the room, shocking even you. You looked up to see your brother and he looked about ready to rip into the bullies with his bare hands. The group turned pale when they saw that their idol had caught them in the act of tormenting his little sibling and bit their tongue as their knees wobble.
The details of the lecture/threat of Toji wasn't heard as your ears buzz with fear. His touch made you snap back to reality, his rough hands helping you up gently and you wobble in your place.
"Holy shit.." You exclaimed in a huff to which he looked at you in an instant.
"You're really fucking loud when you're mad."
Silence settled to which the both of you laughed at in few seconds. This was the first time you didn't feel akward and commented so honestly. He patted your back and pick up your stuff, though soiled; atleast you were only shaken but unharmed.
The walk back to the car came naturally albeit a bit of limping in your step, you had twisted your ankle while running to catch the laptop before the others did and it sparked hellfire in Toji. His main priority now is atleast offering a crumb of comfort and heard out your reasoning for portecting a device rather than your skull.
"We could always buy you a new laptop,"
"I like the one now."
"Its not worth it breaking your skull in to protect it though."
To be honest, it wasn't about liking it. Just the big smiles on your adoptive parents' faces when they urged you to open the gift they bought you, it made your eyes all teary.
You weren't adopted before but you had to go through mean foster parents that had too much on their hands and that led to negliance to your needs. That led to several arguments and got you sent to the adoption center and it broke you, just the thought of connecting with another family made you numb.
But this family was so gentle with you. Even when you showed that there was no need for such kindness yet it wasn't that they coaxed you out of your shell but that they were so tender through their actions.
Toji notices the tears and scratches the back of his neck, he didn't read this in the big brother dummy book to know what to do if his little sibling cries. You had a distant look in your eyes before you realised you had reached the car with him.
Thankfully, both parents didn't notice the missing schoolbag or the agitated state that you're in. They were all smiles and Mamaguro was powdering on her face so it meant a family outing tonight.
You couldn't help but panic when you try to think of an explanation of your missing bag but Toji butted in on his parents conversations.
"Hey, Y/N wanted some ice cream before dinner, is that okay?"
Toji blurted out all of a sudden and you so badly wanted to deny it but he dug a deeper hole for you when the two agreed so quickly. They were excited that you finally requested something in a while and the car swerved to the nearest convenience store. Your brother adjusted himself in his seat, taking out his earphones and leaned a bit closer so the two infront won't hear.
"No worries, there's a store that sells bags beside the convenience store."
You huffed out a breath, your mouth feeling so dry and nodded to his words. He was a life saver.
Toji remembered how jittery you were when he suddenly made up some shit about you wanting ice cream that he couldn't help but chuckle outloud. The light from your eyes almost dimmed when you thought he would snitch on you. He parked close to the clinic, turning his back to grab an umbrella incase it rained. His mom pouted to his sudden chuckle and sighed.
"What are you laughing for? You're not ditching practise, yknow? You're going after you send me off at the clinic."
"Huh?" His mom showed a text conversation between her and Geto and scoffed. The lengths that man bun would go to have him show up at practise. That damn milf hunter-
-----------
"Hands up if your name is Y/N Fushiguro!!!" The class erupted in some noise upon seeing the popular duo stand near the doors of their class. When you heard your name being called, you reluctantly raised your hand; recognising who these two were.
The duo's faces fell for a moment, choking. Oh, you were adopted? Not in an offensive way obviously but Gojo might've heaved a sigh of relief. Atleast you weren't a splitting reflection of your brother, that would give him nightmares! Geto on the other hand realised why Toji would hide such a fact, an element of suprise if you will. He thought the two of them wouldn't find you out in an instant, did Toji thought so low of them? You raised a brow, wondering what they wanted.
They watched you walk out the classroom and Gojo adjusted his glasses. The graphic t-shirt and the style you had was a sublte influence from your brother.
"Well, well, aren't you a sight for sore eyes?"
You had the exact relaxed expression like your brother except you slowly turn weirded out, why were they ogling you like this?
You took time to observe them head to toe subtly while Gojo yapped about the tale of how Toji didn't reveal that he had a younger sibling, they were lean and muscular and they had this obvious good cop bad cop duo energy. The white haired man sounded visibly upset that you were kept as a secret from the rest, was this some kind of facade to get to know you better? You shifted to one foot to another, stopping the music playing in your earpods and cleared your throat.
"Do you want to get with my brother or something orrr...?" Gojo didn't get to the point so you went straight in but due to their reactions, you might've miscalculated. Tilting your head, you pointed at Geto's painted nails and the earrings he had.
"And you.. are you two like gay or something?" You put your hands in defense, talking quickly before they get the wrong idea, "Hey, I don't discriminate. I just barely had any fans of my brother be male sooo..."
For once in their lives, Gojo was speechless and Geto had his eyes wide open like crazy.
One thing was for sure, anyting that was the apart of the Fushiguro family was a complete nightmare.
